Transcript
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: It is time for an episode of Brock Mr. Breakfast.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: I am Nick Kendall.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna have probably a I took me a second to make the link today Dylan because I was up for four hours last night with a little kid who's he's getting big now and strong and he was not having it.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: He had a
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: fever sent home from daycare on Thursday, not good Friday, Saturday.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: Thought a little bit yesterday, but last night, no sleep.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: So you can probably still hear that I'm getting over a little bit of something as well, a little more nasally than normal, but we're here.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: God Bless Lion Coffee is all I can say.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's still a little too hot to enjoy right now, but
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to need like three of these today because a very little sleep last night, frustrating night, more frustrating for the little guy.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: I feel bad for him, but oh, man, you can only be like swung on, screaming in your ear so many times on little sleep.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: So we're here at Patience, breathing, Broncos.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: How you doing, Dylan?
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for covering for Eric who is outstick today.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't find my phone this morning either.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I have no idea.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: We're a raw dog in this morning.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: We're in work chill, killing it.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you, Dylan.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: doing good.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like the little guys getting big enough to fight back.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: So that's going to be a little rough time for you.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I guess the sickness is going around.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: Eric's not doing too little fever under the weather, but that's all right.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'll fill in and happy to talk.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos, especially post a post a preseason game, which had a lot of highlights actually.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very excited to talk about.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a fun time.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: We do want to say a little bit of coming in.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: Where did Eric message us with the Twitter?
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: Not Facebook.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: I checked Facebook this morning.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: I did not check Twitter.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: So that would make some sense or X, whatever it is.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to offend anybody.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: We got so so far this morning.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: We got.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: Three members coming in on the YouTube side of things, saying good morning, hello to us.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: If you are joining us this morning, tell us your biggest takeaway from this Broncos.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: Our Broncos, sorry, just covered the Falcons.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos Cardinals game and this week of the joint practice as well.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: We obviously haven't talked to you guys since Wednesday.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot has happened since then.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: Let us know your biggest takeaways and what you thought of the game obviously.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: Good time for the Denver Broncos and it sounds like vibes were quite high in the locker room after joint practice and after the preseason game.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get a two-hand of ourselves because Cardinals might not be a very good team this season.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: They don't appear to have very good depth in the least, but
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: Still, when you are the better team, hopefully this doesn't get us in trouble, but to belt to ass is what you want.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: And belt to ass is what we saw on Saturday.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Speaking of belt to ass, whatever the heck that means, Chase.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: I love you.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I think I can say something weird like that to you.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: Ninety five chase.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you, Chase.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, our good morning, go Broncos.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Chase.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: Whenever our members make sure you guys are joining our members, we got more members here, Dave Glassman.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: In the house, Dave is always a constant contributor to the show.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate you, Dave.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Thompson in the house and another member.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see Michael Ron Kio.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Good morning Broncos country.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: We got Lamar James says good morning guys and Broncos nation.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: Go Broncos Lamar.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to let you slide on this one.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: You can say whatever the heck you want.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: Especially if it's a super chap, but some people will skewer you for saying Broncos nation instead of Broncos country.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: So just be aware on that one.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: I have whatever.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: Call them what you want.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: Bronco land.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: So T-Fish is coming in says I think we're so back.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos sure feel like they're back.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: And what does back mean?
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's on a relative scale.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Are we going to be competing with, you know, the Ravens, the bills, the chiefs, the Eagles.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe maybe are we back as far as like last season, the expectation, like last season with it.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: shock entering the year obviously, but that is like the floor expectation right now.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like getting the playoffs one and that'll be disappointing for how we're feeling right now.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: Now, no granted who you're who you are week one is not who you are week.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: Eighteen things can change with not going with injuries.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: So you look different.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: We saw that with the lions last season.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: God, they were a mass unit on defense who knows what could have happened.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it does feel like the vibes are as high as they've been.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: in a long time to learn.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: In a long time.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, and man, you know, I know most of the time it is probably the whole time.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's been back up.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos have been playing against, but there's guys you've seen whether it's starters or even depth that have stepped up and kind of materialized that offseason hype, that training camp hype that's been around them like Evan Ingraham, dude still got that speed.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: He looked great.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously got a couple of good blocks thrown his way to make that happen, but he still got that juice, RJ Harvey.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: look great as well the running backs in general look great very encouraging for the running game and hopefully that translate into the season and once the starters they're playing against starters and some white outs looking pretty great Pat Bryant Troy Franklin especially who I've been very critical of I know you know not sure he would make that leap but he's looking very good but again not to be a white blanket I'm I'm very curious to see what he looks like against some starters going into the regular season
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we ran through some of the big things there.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go through some of them one by one, but probably my biggest takeaway is that while MIMS and Valy didn't play, which probably indicates secure their secure and their roles and their spots, Valy did have that big, seventy art touchdown in joint practice.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: They should not feel
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: secure.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: I know they didn't play, but they should feel pressure right now because Troy Franklin and Pat Bryan have been to the standouts in camp and then to see it materialized in a preseason game as well and how much does that matter?
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: It matters more than practice to a certain extent.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of view it as a the different levels of Madden, right?
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: What is it?
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's a rookie veteran all pro all Madden, right?
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think those are the four tiers.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: Then five years since I played Madden.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: But training camp, you know, pads come out more rookie, right?
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: Walk through whatever rookie preseason joint practice.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, now we're playing a veteran.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: It matters a little more regular season.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: Jump from that veteran to all pros pretty significant and then play offs different from all that.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's all man.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: We're in those playoff games.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: So right now we're seeing veteran level and they're getting it done.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: What does it look like when the jumps up to all pro when it's time for the regular season?
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Pat Bryant looked
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: He, it's such a cliche, but like he, he does not look lost at all.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: He is physical.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: He is smooth.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's a savvy player as well.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: I know that, you know, what was in the four, six, five, four, six, seven, like he's not a blazer by any means, but he's fast in pads.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm, I'm really excited for him watching him play.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's a comp.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna throw it out yet, but the physicality and just like how strong his hands are,
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I'm afraid to say it.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to keep that back pocket now.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: And now I'm not just coming into here.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, brothers, we have the talent to win it all.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: It will come down to Nixon injuries.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: Go Broncos.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: You said it, brother.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, God quarterback plan injuries.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: The one I will add to as well is.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: We need the offensive line to replicate last season.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: If not, maybe even turn the dial-up in run blocking a little bit.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think that what we've seen from the offensive line in the joint practice specifically has been not concerning.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's the wrong word, but not dominant number one pass blocking offensive line in football.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm not here to just immediately build in excuses for the quarterback.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's a symbiotic relationship with everything, with everything there.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not offensive line watch as well.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to call them a fraud by any means, but and they were really good in this preseason.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: The amount is good in the last one.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: But in joint practices, I feel like some of the starters, mainly powers in Wattenberg have not been delivering to last seasons level of play from what I've heard.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: So we're keeping an eye on the offensive line as well, but you're right.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: The main two will be the quarterback play and the injuries.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, like you mentioned, that run blockings can be huge.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: Something has to take pressure off a bonus.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, there's spots where you want him to be the hero and make the plays, but you don't want that all game long.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when I'm throwing thirty five plus times every week, you need to take some pressure off him and having
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Showcase Harvey quite a bit in the preseason.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Payton seems to be like, hey, this is my shiny new toy.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to show him off and try and prove people, hey, this is my guy.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: Because you haven't seen JK dominance a whole lot.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm assuming that's just because, you know, injury history is a vet.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he doesn't need the reps as much.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: But I mentioned before, the entire backfield, size, object estimate, yikes.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: I was looking pretty good.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: They flashed and I made the comment in our chat that it seems like any time another Broncos running back is mentioned.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Juleal McLaughlin just rips off a big gain or a big play.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: So that's going to be a fun group to watch and hopefully it makes this offense much more dynamic than it was a season ago.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think they're going to have some tough decisions.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: McLaughlin and Biday, I thought Biday looked really good as well.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's not as explosive, but he's a tougher runner, but she needs more all down worthy than McLaughlin.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I feel bad estimate feels like a dead man walking to this point.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: And Watson probably practiced squad bounce.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: So are they going to keep for, especially with Burton's injury, maybe that changes the map where they can math where they can protect one.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: And as Carl Delmer says, good to see you, Carl.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not cheating on you.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: This is, I just love this hat.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: I also have my Broncos building the Broncos head here as well.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: But no, running game could be a real strength this year.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm such a
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: boring nilly.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: I still want to see it to believe it.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't know if the Quinn miners is probably the only like plus plus run blocker on the unit right now.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: The rest of them are, you know, it's about the collective and the scheme and everything.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know if you still have as much earth moving gold bowls is, you know, very solid and good, but he's not.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Tristan worse out there at the point of attack or penny-soul or Jordan Milata.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to see the run-blocking better last season.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: They were in like a lot of that.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: They were really high in pass-blocking, but they were ten to fourteen in the run-blocking metrics.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to see that more as well, but it should be hopefully better and speaking of which the thing that I've been having my hopes rested on was RJ Harvey and that San Francisco game.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: Not at all on him.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: That touchdown run.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: I have not seen the all-twenty to yet, but how he scored it through in the vision and the feet and the balance to score it through that offensive line and find it between the tackles was glorious.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: So obviously some concerns could at UFC kick it out a lot and outrun people.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to work in the NFL, but that was some incredibly nifty footwork for him and it made it look pretty easy in heavy traffic.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: So excited for that.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: That was the
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: Most excited have been for RG Harvey since, you know, we started up with training camp and everything.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and you just think about how Chavante Williams last year made nothing look easy.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Running into the back was offensive line, the terrible vision.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's something we harked on all offseason going through draft analysis and what have you vision was a big
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: part of what we are looking for.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: They're running back in the draft and it seems like J Harvey.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a huge upgrade there.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: And while he's a smaller guy, he's got tree trunks of legs, he's got enough power, makes closeness to go along with it.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely a guy Sean Payton wants to have be a focal point of this offense.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: despite JK Dobbins being on the baronco's.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: Harvey's going to get the majority of the work.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's just the feeling I have because I think Sean Peyton does really love this guy.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: Dang, you got me blown my nose here.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: We got my caronkio.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: Good morning, Nick and Dylan on Broncos for breakfast, gobo Broncos.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good to see you.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you coming to Super Chat.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate Nosh as well.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: The
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing to blow your nose at.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: If you will nothing to sneeze at, but yeah, that's incredible.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate you both so much coming in and hanging out with us.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Thompson says his biggest takeaway is anger mistil fast.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what a great play design.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: No granted cardinals backups.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: They were, you know, all moving one way of this.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't look, uh, they all took the cheese on that one, if you will, but
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: That was a great plan.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: We got me hyped about that one.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: Not only in the interim fast, looking good in that number one, good played as I'm good ball from steady, but seeing Troy Franklin get in the way.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: I guess is what we'll call out to me.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: He did.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: He did enough to impact down the field.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: But then it was Pat Bryant blocking the absolute loving.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: you know what, out of the player, thirty yards down the field and locked on and just just moving him.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that play being an Iowa fan.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get to see my wide receivers make that many spectacular catches down the field.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: So they better damn a block, right?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: You better than you.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of an anti recruiting thing.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Other coaches use against Iowa, but like if you're going to Iowa to play wide receiver, you're essentially going to be a bouncer, escorting guys out of the club because they're going to run the ball and you better freaking block.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: They obviously, Pat Ryan had to have that same mentality at Illinois with Brett Biela, because Brett loved around the football.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: And we saw that in that game.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: And this game wasn't just the the past catch game in Bryant was awesome.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have the stats directly in front of me, but he definitely led.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: He had to have led the team interceptions.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't him.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: It would have been the
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: small writers Courtney Jackson had a lot as well, but yeah, no, I very, very impressed with Pat Bryant and that block on that play really changed it from going, you know, twenty yards to wasn't fifty so awesome from Pat Bryant.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's something you love to see.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's very Franklin, especially obviously he wasn't
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Great in terms of technique, but he showed heart and like you mentioned, he'd kind of just get in the way, but honestly, whether he's throwing a block or being a distraction to whatever he's matched up on, that's great.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: And you love to see it with Pat Bryant, man.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember the stats specifically, but in terms of moving the chains on receptions and college, I remember it was pretty damn good.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I believe most of not all of his catches the other night move the chain.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: So that's very encouraging to see especially out of a water seever group who is mostly potential at the moment, unrealized potential.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully that carries over as well.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: And we get someone here.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: Franklin's making a good case to step into
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: a bigger role, but Pat Bryan's right there as well, especially with this effort, like you mentioned, in blocking as well as catching the football.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: And he, I believe if I'm looking here, it looks like he had four receptions, which was tied with Troy and Blake Watts.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, watch from what I've been getting.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: We got Chase coming in here again.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's a good point here talking about Davis Web.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's Davis Web, right?
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Not David Web.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I just read it and like got me questioning myself.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: I did not get much sleep this weekend.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: So as I feel we're gonna lose him, definitely possible, but that's a good problem to have.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: I guess the good thing is he is just the quarterback's coach, not the offensive coordinator, so maybe he gets promoted and Broncos have a lot of money to throw around to keep him.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now, obviously, you're not gonna hold him back from a directly to a head coach, but not many people go quarterback coach to head coach.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: uh the one thing I will say is that there's not a pathway here really for him to call plays or like that doesn't make sense for Denver to relinquish play calling from Sean Peyton to give it to Davis Webb like that's not that's not something Denver should be doing but yeah he might be all the move here pretty soon but you're hoping that you have a organization that's breeding
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: good smart, innovative coaches under Sean Payton.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: That seems to be, let me saw this off season, Dylan teams kind of are interested in the sauce that's going on in Denver right now in the scheme, because Denver got poached a few spots, wide receiver coach off to the offensive coordinator to the lions and might be missing somebody as well.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, overall, we'll see what happens with Davis Web.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: Good job by him calling that game.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: Got a game ball.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: I heard as well.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: So awesome to see that.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: Big, another big takeaway here.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: Dave Glossman is correct.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: Jared Stittham.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: Jared Stittham has been awesome.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: You're three in the system with Sean Payton.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: And man, he looked really good.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'd deal with a sick kid.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: I can hear him.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's up now.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's screaming up above me, but not a good night, but
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: Watch the highlight trying to keep up with the highlights was like, and I was taking care of him Saturday was able to watch the full game Sunday.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm watching it.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh, yeah.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Next is carbon them up.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's good.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: You know, just busy, whatever.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, wait a second.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's number eight.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: And Sidom looks like a freaking dude.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: That then I was new.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: Sidom was going to be, you know, a good looking quarterback.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: This throws.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: I remember talking with Jordan Palmer walking with him to his car after the Missouri Pro Day back in
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: What year was that to the du-lock draft?
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever year the du-lock draft was, it's sixteen or seventeen and something like that.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: It must have been, seventeen or eighteen.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I ain't walking back at the car and he's like, you know, I drew a good pro day, but you know, I was got an incredible armistitum.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I always like, okay, a Jared Sitham, we're keeping an eye on that guy too.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Fell to the fourth round.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: Patriots, I think maybe.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: And the Raiders, but yeah, he's got, he's got a good arm and he looks good in the system.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: And as James B says, you're sitting and looking nice, a great backup quarterback's essential for a Super Bowl run.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, especially with now that we got the Seventeen game season, Nixon's A.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: personal put a shoulder in there from time to time as well.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: So you might have to lean on stem for, you know, two four games.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: If you're starting quarterback goes done, seasons probably done, but two to four games, keep you afloat, go five hundred, go three and one.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: I feel very confident.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: Instead, I'm in a very happy also to have him on a two year contract here as well, because how he's playing right now would probably get him a pretty good contract from somebody looking for a
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: bridge slash stop gap depending on how the draft would go for them.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: So to your contract with Stitham have him here in the room.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: And that's another positive also for if you lose Davis Web, he still got Stitham here as well, who can he's not the coach by any means, but a piece of that room still that's working really well in Denver.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Stitham's the best kind of backup you could ask for.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like you mentioned, if knock on wood for some reason, Bonix went down.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: you don't want to play for an extended amount of time but like you mentioned two to four games great put it in cruise control i'm i'm perfectly fine with that's didn't shown enough to prove that he is he belongs on this team as the backup and uh... someone to bounce ideas off of bonics as well veteran presence if you will so
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm very excited to have Stitham and I'm in this quarterback room and he has played very well.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's very encouraging to see that even if it is against backups, third string, what have you.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's clean it up where he's supposed to.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's doing his job.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, normally in pre-season, the backup quarterbacks come in and it is just a grueling horrific product to watch.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, especially when you get to some of the, yeah, the deeper quarterbacks, it's bad, but a lot of times even from the starters to the backups, it's like, this isn't
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: We're watching glorified college football.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's, I mean, the real difference in the NFL is how good the quarterbacks are.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they get paid the money that they do.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: But students looked really good and it makes me feel good about what Bonix can be this season.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not calling for a quarterback competition or anything like that as well.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: But you have, you know, avenues and talent in the room and students always had arm telling.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was a might have been one of the top quarterback recruits in his class.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: When he went to Baylor, I think he was Baylor originally then out to Auburn after that.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: But one of the original transfer quarterbacks.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, no, it's going to be fun to watch him.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: The question is if he is even a play in the third game, do you get any information on that?
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably, they should just give it Ellen or the entire game, because Stitham's proven enough to me.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if we need him for the third game.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm not aware on that, but I'm sure we'll find out soon, or Sean Paine will be vague about it.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: We never really know with him, so we'll not see him.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: This has been always been falling sloths.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was singular.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: So we now we have multiple sloths falling out of trees.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's going on here.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: Good morning, broadcast country.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: Hope everyone's day is off to a great start.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you out the hope you're doing well out there in Cincinnati, following sloths.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Also, you're in here joining us.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: You've been a member for a long time.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't you actually become a member of the team here?
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: We got obviously the
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: become a member here we go of the M. H. H. YouTube team got a lot of you in here and fallen lost.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm calling you directly.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: I know where you live.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Cincinnati.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: So make sure you join the team and hang out with us here.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: Speaking of our members Jason Bonnie a member and dropping us a two dollar superjazz and I'm here for the Troy Franklin praise.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right now the problem with the Broncos at wide receiver is that number still waiting to like have proof proof in the pudding of who's like a wide receiver to capable wide receiver as far as the pecking order and the target sharing everything.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: Franklin looks great.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: The problem is are they going to have six guys active?
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: Is it possible they could flip one of these guys for a plus capital?
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how it's all going to work out because Mims and surefielder definitely active.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: Colton Sutton's definitely active.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Franklin Bryant and Valey probably should be active.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think it keeps exactly if I don't know.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's, yeah, it's hard to say, but just to give you a little of Jason, because I know you've been on Troy Franklin for a while.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: He has looked much improved and at the top of the show, like I said, not to be wet blanket.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't seen against starters yet, but he is doing his job against the competition that he's put in front of him catching over the shoulder for a touchdown.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'd never thought I'd see that.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: Never thought I'd see that, especially, you know.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so two touchdown effort.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: And he's looking good against who he should be.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm very excited to see if that continues into the regular season.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's not me trying to be a downer.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's just much like Nick mentioned.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a believe it when I see it kind of guy, you know.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: I do have hopes for a lot of players, but I do need to see the product at the end of the day.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: Troy Franklin is on the right track to be a big contribute in this offense.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: if he can carry that over into week one.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: Another guy who really caught everyone's eye in this one of course is Courtney Jackson had a heck of a game.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: Got a lot of opportunities.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: The offense to run through him there was obviously later, but the kick returns were good and he is one where
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like people are always like, oh my gosh, we can't subject him to waivers.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we can't cut him because somebody will claim him.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: I hope that Broncos can sneak him through.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: I would expect him to.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: There's only typically four or five players every year that are napped off of waivers.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: Team is want the guys that they've worked with that they know that they have relationships with.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: They keep them most of the time as opposed to going outside the organization during that waiver period.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: But he's one that maybe could be grabbed, especially that special teams return our ability.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: But he, uh, if the Broncos were off to trade, I don't think I trade Franklin.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think it'd probably have to be valet if there was a trade wide receiver trade.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: But he didn't play as so is he safe?
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm going to keep six.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be interesting to see.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, but I really thought Courtney Jackson had a heck of a game as well and deserve day shout out.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, it's nice to have some depth there and some options for the practice squad.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: If you can sneak them on there, like you mentioned, plenty of teams kind of want to keep the guys they've worked with, not really go outside unless they're really not liking what they're seeing from a certain position.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of how I feel about the third quarterback on this team, not really a big fan-allinger, the game kind of dips down.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously he's the third string right?
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, absolutely fireworks, but
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: I can see the Broncos positively looking outside the team waiting for cuts to get that third quarterback if they choose to keep one.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so a lot of offense talks so far.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: I did want to give a shout out to Nick Garjulu who suffered a significant injury cart came out.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if we've heard the full ramifications of what that injury is, but given how it
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: played out on the field.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm guessing we probably won't see him until next season and hopefully he's better.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: He had a really good game joint practice for supporting the owners didn't do as well.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: I thought in this game and he was out there but still a young hopeful player from that.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: What's shaping up to be incredible.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: Twenty twenty four draft class as it stands and really a bummer to see him get injured as far as the offensive line goes.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Throck Morton had a pretty good game overall.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe a little bit overhyped for some of the talk after I saw watch a game in hindsight, people talking about him, but offensive line didn't, you know, as a whole did okay.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really love Alex Forsyth.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're offensive tackle depth in parrot and
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: poucheski didn't have like they were an amazing poucheski had a couple penalties I think as well.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: Offensive big picture for me this team like you got guys in there that you I think you can get by a few games.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I'd right now I don't know if I see anybody that is like oh yeah.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: Sign me that guy up for starter next year to replace powers or one brick.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: So long season to go we'll see how it plays out with the offensive line.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: I thought as a collective did pretty well but not.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: Not anybody that's just dominating where it's like they get that guy's insert him in the lineup.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: We got to get it going.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: Losing our duo is less than ideal.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he was doing great through camp and one of the better looking offensive lineman on the interior for the Broncos and maybe someone to eventually replace Ben Powers like you mentioned, but yeah, other than that, the diff looks
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: fine, nothing overly concerning I guess, but nothing that makes you just like, hey, maybe we should just give Ben powers out of here now or replace look whatburg now.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, the depth has been mostly encouraging, but I still want to see more and obviously.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: slim pickings out there in free agent market and what have you so what we'll have to see if they keep developing and get better as the season going but again they are depth pieces so how much are we going to see them hopefully never yeah but that's just how it goes
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: For me, it's more you potentially have two openings on the offensive line in twenty twenty six and this is hopefully all that we see them this season.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: So they're going to have a better idea in house than we will because how these guys are playing in practice and everything in in the meetings, but.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: We're looking for internal options because that keeps you flexible and healthy roster wise for left-guard and center after the season right now.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure if I'm leaning on any of these guys.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think there was more hope for Garjulo in this injury sets him back a little bit.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: A bummer for many reasons, but thoughts go out to Gargulo.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: How many wide receivers are going to make the Broncos-Pythe three-man roster?
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: Is Michael Rankio?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, it's got to be six things can change if somebody offers a fifth round pick for Valle, then I think you probably bite it, given where you're at in the room in his age.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, you probably keep six, and that's not crazy.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: Sure field safes, mim safe, Franklin, and Pat Bryant safe.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: I was a Portland Sutton safe.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: Vailays the one who is like it feels like just from a perspective feels uncertain, but this is going to get clipped here in three months after a Vailays, you know, the obvious number two receiver and having a great season.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, it's it's six and
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: Right now you have some injury guarantee.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: Now we're still still not sure if any of them are true blue wide receiver twos in the league, but you might have like five or five wide receiver threes, types, which is another way to combat it, right?
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's especially how much Sean likes to rotate receivers.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: As you mentioned, I believe six is probably the number unless they feel like they get a good return from Bailey or have been offered a good return from Bailey in which case they can kind of do with the last season.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: I believe they had five receivers and they just called various ones up from the practice squad, depending on matchups and what happened.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: A little journey home free, well, Michael Bandy.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple others who are completely going over my head at the moment.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think six is the number, like you mentioned, but VLA would probably be the oddment out there.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: I just think Pat Bryant looks a little stronger.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's bigger.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then Franklin brings that speed that separation that VLA doesn't.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: And this isn't to, you know, Pupu on VLA.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: He was very solid last season, but he is older.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's twenty-seven.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: One is going to be twenty-eight this year.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: Possibly, and then the new thing might not be the
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: best option for the Broncos, but hey, if you keep showing out, then they're going to have to keep them.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no absolutely falling thoughts.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: I knew I could pressure you into it.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: Becoming a member.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: Hope you're doing well.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: If Jenny Splash says we're doing a better job than most hitting open receivers and receivers are catching the ball.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: Jason say they're going to keep six.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's great.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Hope so as well.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: Talked a lot about offense, RJ Harvey, you know, limited sample, looked well, McLaughlin, shout out to him.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: He even threw me my big takeaway as Jon Ellis looks good.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: Year two, he, I was a little bit worried because he suffered that.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: She was a shoulder injury, last season in the bills.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's how it was the off season program.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to look like for him because he needed to get stronger.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: It was a young player.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: He looks stronger.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: He plays against the run, plays against the pass.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: And Broncos didn't have any, you know, I'd be excited to see what he could look like as a starter this year, but he's third string.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to rotate him.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: He could be a problem.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: He looks really good.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's always good to have a rotation of pass rushes and Ellis just makes this pass rush even better than it was last season.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: I know he had five sex last year's rookie.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: Man, I don't want to put too much pressure on him, but he looks to be, and obviously these players aren't on the same level, but he looks to be the check bearer that's set behind Avon Miller at the Marcus where that at least have that kind of idea, right, in the rotation to have another solid third pass, Russia that you can swap it in out to give the other guys a breather.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: very encouraging.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he just flashes every time he's on the field at this point.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: So really excited to see what he can do this coming season.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: Conga says this, but he's not a member yet.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: Become a member.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: I know where you live.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll find you, Conga.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: We'll make you another head of emerge there with your, your hydroth.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I know appreciate falling sloths coming in and that was funny.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Joan Ellis, incredible.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you've been part of MHH for a while and all the listeners have been here for a bit.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: I, one of my tenants in football is there's no such thing as enough past rest juice and you're, you want to have four guys that you feel comfortable starting out there at edge and probably for it interior as well.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like the offensive line.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like receiver corner back where it's like, you know, you're not going to see that guy that's the your fifth quarterback hopefully unless things go really wrong.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: For a past rush in the defensive line, you are gonna see those guys.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: Even if things are going great, because it's such a heavily rotated position and the best defenses in football, they either have an absolute god along the defensive line, like a singular face of defensive football, ninety-nine in Madden type, you know, your Miles Garitz, your JJ Watts,
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: Or they are ridiculously deep.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I leaned back to the, I mean, Brock was at both of those in twenty fifteen, which was one of the reasons they were so special.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: They were named the no flies on.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: I can tend that the was the depth and Von Miller emerging into the best defense, applying football that really was the backbone of that defense.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: But you had the Eagles last season.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: They were two lines deep.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously it's good to have super stars, but I'd rather and it's better long term to have a super star because there's not as much rotation variation to injury and everything.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: But like in a single season, if you can give me eight guys who are
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: B pluses are better, or B's are better.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's, you're gonna be a freaking problem.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: And Jonah Ellis is right now, he looks like a starting caliber edge.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: And as you number three, there's plenty of reps to go around.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Benito's Nick Benito, Jonathan Cooper's maybe been along with Troy Franklin, the best player in camp.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: I know that was at, oh gosh, Clay, right at the Brock goes edge room as like twenty-third in the league.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, whatever.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: Good for him.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: He does, he does good work.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: That one is, I don't agree with.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Ellis emerging is going to be different.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: We also had some questions entering the season.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Ellis, you know, draft them the third round.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what it looks like.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, obviously the all rookie all pro team last season, but he drafted Q Robinson who's really talented.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: Tillman also had flashes last season a day from body type.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: There's a chance that Ed rush or three the first half of the bench.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: There's a competition for that one.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't competition closed.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be Ellis.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: Ellis looks really freaking good.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he looks damn good and like you mentioned that rotation so important and I just want to say you've been on that train for quite a while.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know it kind of exploded.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: with the Eagles win and oh my god, you do really need a lot of depth on the defensive line.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: Nick's been on that for quite a while and it is important.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: You need to have guys be fresh and have the fresh rotation to keep things.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: We'll keep offenses on their toes for his informos, but just so everyone's got around a hundred percent, but close to a hundred percent most of the game, keeping their energy up and getting after the quarterbacks.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: We want to do
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: to my home was what the Eagles did.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the Broncos have, I think they have the potential for that.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not so much on the depth on the interior, per se, but that edge group is looking solid, especially with the emergence of Ellis.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really, really excited to see what he can do going forward.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're right about the interior.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have a Jordan Davis body type necessarily, but that's fine.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I don't think we, I got love Zach Allen.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, but if you could keep me like just play around the football field.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: Jalen Carter's more talented.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, than Zach Allen.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's he has a chance to be the best defensive tackle in football.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, but that's needed there.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm happy to have him who we got in Zach Allen's a heck of a leader.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I digress Jason says more Dylan, please morning or night shows slide right in with great chemistry.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to make any comment about sliding right in.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: Nick, take the hike, pun intended, JKK, love the show.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: If Eric was an out-eyed might have been gone today.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm lucky to be here after not knowing where my phone is and everything.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: And all of that.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, no Dylan does a great job.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's also the best looking of us all.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: So he's a triple threat.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: So we got that going for us.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: All right, he's got that going for him as well.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me, I'll clear my throat here.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: We are going to wrap it up.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: I hear the kid screaming upstairs and I need to go relieve the wife after we got maybe two hours of sleep last night.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: Other takeaways on the defensive side of the ball.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if Eric would agree with me on this one, but from what I've heard and from what I've seen, I do think an undrafted free agent linebacker has emerged and that's Korean read.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think he has moved in a different speed than the other guys that they brought in.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's getting steps.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: Konga, there you go, with the big group as well.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: See, the peer pressure works.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: You guys can do it.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe just one more beer.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: One more before the road.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: But no, don't drink a drink.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think Korean read a step up.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he's going to make the act of fifty three, but out of brown, hacky, maybe even compared to Level Bailey.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: Those are, I think, read his step up.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: So keep it in eye on him.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man, it's it's hard to get much talent on this team at a linebacker.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_00]: I know maybe that's not being a downer there, but you know, I do like green law, a great bit.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously health is a concern.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: Alex Singleton.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: I've always kind of been low on and I know lots of Broncos country like him.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: They see the tackle numbers.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: Big tackle numbers don't always indicate a good linebacker.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, where those tackles happening?
- 37:29[SPEAKER_00]: you know where what's he doing coverage obviously he's going to give up catches that's kind of linebackers in general do that but you know I'd like to see something better than Alex England in sternod has been okay in spots don't really love him to start frequently and beyond that I mean I know about with old Bailey has been doing very good in training camp but
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: Korean media he's definitely flashed in these preseason games so anything we can get at the inside line back a position.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty happy with we need we need some upgrades there for sure.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah and I'll take away from me on this defensive side of the ball.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, too, I guess.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: This hope and maybe Q was a week and saving on Jones a little bit more consistent, a little bit more flashes in this one.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay though.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: We're still year off Jordan Jackson also.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's got pretty good get off.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: He just, you know, he's stuck once he gets somebody to get hands on him.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: So don't think we have a
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: That last spot on the defensive line is still questionable as far as the talent level goes in long term projections, but that's okay.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: You can't have stars on every spot even though you should hunt for it on the defensive line.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: The final thought I wanted to have though was, I'm not disappointed, but it doesn't seem like John A. Baron is there yet.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: And what does that mean for this team?
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it would be pretty shocking if he wasn't a starter week one, but as time has gone on, it does seem like it's possible that there's still going to be reps for him and everything, but I think right now it's a fifty-fifty chance that he's starting or if it's going to be a quantumic millen.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think Moss is solidified on the outside.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's the thing.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: I've mentioned it plenty.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: The transition for corner from college to the NFL.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: It is a bigger one.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's not at one for one.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: There are some guys that have stepped right in right.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: You have your sauce gardeners, your PS two is what have you come in and produced early, right?
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos kind of have the luxury of letting him sit a little bit while he learns more obviously, being a first-hand pick you'd like to see him out on the field day one.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: But McMillan is good enough.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously coverage a little shaky, but in terms of the turnover department, he's been absolutely lights out there.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: So if Zoday needs to sit for a little while longer, I'm kind of okay with it.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, I do think
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually he will take that role, but hey, if he needs to sit just for a little longer and take in everything and with our great defensive staff like Jim Leonard especially.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's something a little more okay with I guess.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: We got fallen stock.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to wrap us up on this one.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: Because he's got Nick is all choked up now, Jason, but it's from Jason.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it's lost coming in here.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: And he gives us two, twenty five dollars, super chats and kind of pills back the curtain and it's always awesome to hear from you guys.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: The personal stuff because you know, it's we're all connected by football, but we're all
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: individuals with their own stories and everything, and what's going on as well.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: And a fallen sloth, a twenty twenty five dollar super chance here says, when the show started, I've been laid off from a dream job at the zoo and joined the AmeriCorps as an uncolored meteorologist during the pandemic.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: From no pay, this show kept me saying, well, that's crazy falling sloth because those were some
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: Rough years going on, Teddy Bridgewater and everything for those Broncos here.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: So us keeping you sane.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos barely kept.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos didn't do anything to keep us sane.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess we must be doing a no-kid job there.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: And he also says, so that's, you should maybe be a writer for it.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: So because it's kind of dark there, the pandemic callback, no pay, lost your dream job.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then we got redemption here.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: Synthen, I have grinded my way back to the zoo.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's still skills to get an amazing new job in March.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: Still did the zoo stuff though.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: And fiance, as of June, so congrats.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: Started a new job last week, perfect time to finally give back to y'all.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't have to give a single super chat fall in Southweed a highlight of this, but we really do appreciate it because it does matter.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: Times are tough, the economy's weird.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, these shows as much as they are work of love.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: If they were making absolutely no money and no viewers and no likes or anything, I don't know if the chat would keep the wheels rolling on these guys.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: So these really help, but even more so.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: Seeing somebody who's fallen soft, who's been an awesome contributor and member of the community for years now.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: coming in and supporting us.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: But here in your journey, everything.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: So congrats to you on grinding.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for sticking around with us.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome on the fiance with her new job.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you as well, you know, every day is a new day.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: And you got a chance to get a little bit better.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully for me today, I get a little bit healthier.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: The guy stopped screaming now.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to my wife who's watching him.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: But we are going to wrap up Michael Ronkeo, great show to Nick and Dylan and
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: Last one here.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: Lee Roy, good to see Lee Roy.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: Wrong against the third fourth string offensive line.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: So how much does it translate?
- 42:43[SPEAKER_01]: But Jordan turned an Andrew Farmer.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: Both had three pressures in this game on eleven snaps and thirteen snaps.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll be curious if they can sneak both of those guys on practice squad.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't expect either of them to jump Q Robinson.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, or Talman.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: But both of them for your debt players have a role.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and you need that depth, it's just like you need any other position, but especially with how volatile inside Lime Becker was last season when Singleton went down and we were kind of rotating.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: Stir-naud naanful of other guys to mixed results.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: So having depth there is great.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I already talked about it quite a bit.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not very settled with this inside Lime Becker room, despite adding a green lot in Singleton coming back from injury.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, when Eric and I did the grades of the team six weeks ago now, I think our lowest grades were the tight end room and the linebacker room.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that is a area that we're looking for still on this team.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, they are like the two positions that a early draft pick does not necessarily equate to good return on investment.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: They're like two of the most
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: volatile results positions in the NFL.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it plays out this upcoming season.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: We've got a long way to go.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: And we got a lot of college football left to happen to before we're kind of seeing how the draft class stacks up.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Nick, what do you think the bro?
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody pull out the lizard being lizard lizard?
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: What should the Broncos draft defensive line offensive line?
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: Just keep hitting that button.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: We got a quarterback now.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: Teams.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: keep stacking on the trenches.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Sean Peyton might be the prince of the lizards that way if Bill Parsell is maybe the king.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: So appreciate that.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: We got Gary fire in the house.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see Gary a member as well.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: You guys killed a day.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see Dylan wasn't sure if it would be him or Eric today, but Eric's under the weather.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: So am I, Eric, what do you call this?
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's called being a man showing up when you're not feeling good.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: So no, I'm just on season.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully, Eric is back on Wednesday because he always has great insight and does a lot of work to bring you guys good content and I really appreciate Dylan being
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's not an insult.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: The, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: I know that he's not on the show anymore, Konga, but Scott always really appreciated Konga because he was like, and just the right amount of cynical and snarky.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't like it was rude to anybody specifically or combative to the hosts, but it was still like, there was a cleverness in the non-belief, I guess.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: I could put that probably in a more intelligent way, but not as clever as Konga, but appreciate him coming in.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: Fallen's thoughts also great to hear your story here, Congrats, and many levels, Jason Bonny.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: Jason, who's the next Bronco that we recognize should doubt that's going to show about a nowhere.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_01]: We still want to see more proof, which were a Franklin, but Bonix, Troy Franklin, and also this final point, because we do have to get out of here.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: I got to get on dad duty with draft picks.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's really important to give them at least one year in the system before you judge.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: So the last few weeks on next, Nick's maybe he plateaued who knows.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm optimistic.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see all plays out though.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: be heard Sean Payton mentioned that that twenty twenty four class looks special could be awesome and we're all kind of okay sure you know what are you going to say uh... but right now with how elist in Franklin of emergency or two at value positions at that maybe it's special maybe it doesn't end up being special so give it give it time we're kind of worried about barit johnny baron not worried but johnny baron haven't heard from him right now Harvey will see what it looks like
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: Savion Jones, Q Robinson.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: Make the roster.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: Twenty twenty six.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have another conversation.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: So give it some time.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan appreciate you hanging out.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate everyone coming in.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: Dominique says he's going to come in and rewatch later.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: Dominique.

- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan, final words, what's going on?
- 47:46[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, no, just happy to hop in and talk Broncos with you guys.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: I know Jason mentioned, you know, it's nice to see me on here.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: My schedule is getting a little more consistent.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe I'll talk over with the boss man.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: See what we can do in terms of getting some more screen time.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that I'm fine coming in and just feeling in when I can and when you guys are getting sick or which seems to be a lot.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: You too, especially with the kids, obviously.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, no, just happy to be here and talk Broncos and chop it up with you.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: appreciate you doing.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: You guys have a grace today.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'll see you again tomorrow evening.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: And as always, choose kind of compassion.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: Go Broncos.
