- 0:29live. We had some good ones this week.
- 0:31After that, we'll talk a little bit about Star Citizen and then
- 0:33we will dive into the depths of the Internet and the algorithms.
- 0:37Share with you what we know. Are we experts?
- 0:38Are we qualified to talk about this stuff?
- 0:40No, of course not. We're just doing this for your
- 0:42entertainment. So with no further ado, sit
- 0:44back, relax and enjoy Open Coms Radio.
- 1:13Well done, Lord Nubis. Lord Nubis.
- 1:15I'm going to be honest. I don't know what we planned.
- 1:17I never know what we planned. I had like spelled it out.
- 1:21It was, it was really cool. You said weather.
- 1:23You spelled weather. We're not.
- 1:25People aren't logging in here for the weather, they're here.
- 1:29They're here for drug laced green drinks.
- 1:34We want. We want to talk about teeth
- 1:35nagging. Yeah, it's looking, man.
- 1:37It's it's they're either listening to this or like Iran.
- 1:41So this is this is just no, they're watching One Piece
- 1:44season 2. Oh yeah, right.
- 1:46You I saw Castlevania. You saw the Castlevania show,
- 1:49anybody? No, yeah, it's not like the
- 1:52first season. It's good.
- 1:53Very good. Both both the Castlevania and
- 1:57Nocturne were both incredible. Yeah, Lord Nubis, thank you for
- 2:02coming to Opening Comms Radio, your Star Citizen call and show
- 2:04this week's question. Can I play Star Citizen with my
- 2:07kids? Well, I don't have kids.
- 2:13The closest thing I have to it would be like my girlfriend's
- 2:16kid. And you know, he well, step kid,
- 2:22he's in his 20s now and really got into it.
- 2:25And I would say that this is not even a comparison to what you're
- 2:30looking for, But I would, I would think that as as as a
- 2:37parent, you know, raises a kid in the Internet age that I don't
- 2:45really think there really are any safe spaces.
- 2:49It really comes down to, you know, are you going to
- 2:51participate in an online activity with the proper
- 2:56parenting to teach a kid? Hey, look, you're going to see
- 2:59some things that are disturbing. You're going to see these
- 3:02things. We can talk about it.
- 3:03And if they can trust you, then you really don't really have to
- 3:06worry about too much because they'll come to you, you know,
- 3:09So can you play with your kid? Yeah.
- 3:12Just, you know, just like anything else, you just it's
- 3:17it's more meta than that. You know, can I say something
- 3:20when when we decided on this topic that I thought the
- 3:24conversation was going to go differently in my mind, I was
- 3:27like, kids can't play Star Citizen.
- 3:29Kids are dumb. And that's like how the
- 3:33trajectory I thought this conversations go you.
- 3:35Guys are they're annoyingly smart.
- 3:37Jar jar. The education of jar jar.
- 3:41I don't know, dude, all, all my nephews and, and they're all
- 3:45like little babies. You know, what's we, I'll just
- 3:49put it this way. Gen.
- 3:51Alpha has what, no cap or cap, You know, we expose the
- 3:55millennial Ziennial or whatever they call me now.
- 3:58I don't know what that means. I think that's, I think that's
- 4:00Gen. Well, it no cap means, you know,
- 4:04I'm saying this truthfully, There's there's no lies here.
- 4:07Gotcha. But The thing is, is that that
- 4:10actually dates back to a word from the 15th century, which was
- 4:13a capper was a person who was known for telling lies.
- 4:16So when someone is saying they're not capping, they would
- 4:19say that in, in, in the 15th century.
- 4:21So they're bringing back shit way back in the way back in the
- 4:24day. And they're annoyingly smart, as
- 4:26as Duke said. The human evolution.
- 4:30I met 15 year old. Well that will be a kid, right?
- 4:36Or maybe he was. He was 14.
- 4:37His name. Oh, OK, let's not even talk
- 4:40about his name, but met him at an entre atmosphere and he was
- 4:44with his dad there too. He came to the event and most of
- 4:48the time we actually thought that it was his dad who played
- 4:52the game and he was hanging around, but it was the other way
- 4:54around. His dad knew nothing about Star
- 4:56Citizen, but he brought his kid over there.
- 5:00Since then, I met this kid multiple times because we he
- 5:04joined the Discord and he's in the same organization now,
- 5:06Southern Cross Alliance in Australia.
- 5:09What a brilliant kid he is. It's like he's way wiser beyond
- 5:17his years way. The way he talks to you, the way
- 5:21he behaves. I think Star Set is actually
- 5:25perfect for a certain kind of, you know, temperament.
- 5:29It's very patient. You can't do anything quick.
- 5:32It's absolutely opposite of all the other games that the kids
- 5:37are feeding on. Yeah, it is.
- 5:40It's not. You know, Fortnite's really
- 5:42twitchy, right? I played that recently.
- 5:46All those games, they're like really fast and and really
- 5:48twitchy. I think Overwatch and stuff.
- 5:51They're an assault on your they're like an assault on your
- 5:55senses at sometimes like even sound, visuals, everything is
- 5:58just all over the place. I, I, I even, I, I cannot even,
- 6:03I can't play the games. I can't play Overwatch because
- 6:06my reflexes are not that sharp. It's not a judgement on the game
- 6:10spot. Those kind of things don't
- 6:11appeal to me. I like slow gameplay and Star
- 6:14Citizen gives me that. Well, if you like slow gameplay
- 6:18and Star Citizen, they're one second Duke.
- 6:21They're increasing time to kill. Yeah.
- 6:24Is getting high. Yes, Yes.
- 6:25Yes. Yes, Yes, Yeah.
- 6:27What do we think about this? Everything is fluid Jar Jar and
- 6:31I would like to actually hear about what everybody thinks
- 6:34about it because not just the TTK but everything it starts,
- 6:38it's like every part of the gameplay, like everything we
- 6:41know is going to change. This is not the final iteration
- 6:45and we see Reddit and I'm not going to say content creators
- 6:50because they need something to talk about and they will pick on
- 6:52anything. But the discussion about how
- 6:55much we talk about min maxing things, why this is being done
- 6:59this way to the level that it's not feedback anymore, but it's
- 7:03like our personal priorities. Does it make any sense?
- 7:07Because this everything's going to change, nothing's going to
- 7:10stay the same. We are at tier 0 at most of the
- 7:14things. Do we need to worry about this?
- 7:17What do you guys think? I I think with engineering
- 7:21coming, it's going to change that entire dynamic altogether.
- 7:24It's going to change organically.
- 7:27Yeah, there you go. Draco.
- 7:30Yeah, I, I think, I think if you look at just shift compat in, in
- 7:38a vacuum, it, it, it doesn't seem like it's, it's going to be
- 7:42as much fun. But if you look at the scope of
- 7:45the whole game where you're having to spend so much time
- 7:48prepping at like getting your vehicles on to let's just say
- 7:53your Asgard, right? If your Asgard doesn't go down
- 7:56as fast, it doesn't feel like you wasted so much.
- 7:58So I think from like perspective of like the, the, the whole
- 8:02game, I, I, I think increasing the time to kill just makes it
- 8:06feel better. But whenever you're looking at
- 8:08just Ace Combat it, it's it's not going to feel as good.
- 8:12Anyone else have an opinion on on TTK right now?
- 8:15I know our next guest has an opinion so.
- 8:17Oh I'm all for hire TTK it just. Well, if if it helps delay our
- 8:22next guest, then yeah, I have an opinion.
- 8:25So no, I mean, I mean, there is an aspect of going Pve and kind
- 8:32of feeling like a badass sometimes and it feels kind of
- 8:35good. You know, maybe they need to
- 8:38have missions where you can kind of do more swarm kind of things
- 8:41in game rather than, you know, ones that, you know, I mean,
- 8:47because, because usually when they have smaller games or, or
- 8:50sorry, hurry, sorry, lower level missions, they they tend to only
- 8:55have, you know, a few enemies. There's not like the waves and
- 8:59waves and waves. And I think that they need more
- 9:01of that kind of stuff. OK, Murphy Jack, you're here on
- 9:07open comms radio. Murphy Jack, I feel like you're
- 9:10going to prefer to take a stab at time to kill here.
- 9:14What do you think of the time to kill increases that have been
- 9:18advertised to us? Yeah, yeah.
- 9:21I don't really have much to say about kids and sources.
- 9:24And I mean, it's great, bring them in.
- 9:29But yeah, TTK Well, yesterday we kind of, we tested some things
- 9:34out a little more and there's extreme salt being thrown
- 9:38everywhere about this. And I really, I think the
- 9:43consensus we came to last night when we were talking is they
- 9:46didn't go far enough on certain ships and they went too far on
- 9:50other ships. Meaning light fighters, medium
- 9:53fighters got like a higher TTK when they really shouldn't have,
- 10:00if anything should almost go less.
- 10:03And they should have made the weapons like making attritions
- 10:09able to punch through everything.
- 10:11Even a Perseus is kind of like, well.
- 10:14Wait, what was the point? Kind of kind of dial it back a
- 10:17little bit like make it so the infernos, the the ions, the
- 10:26cannon loadouts, all that have a an actual purpose where they got
- 10:32to come in and whittle away at that armor for you.
- 10:35So then like your fighters, your traditional fighters with your
- 10:39repeaters or whatever can come in and do damage to the bigger
- 10:43ships or fight their escorts that have repeaters and stuff on
- 10:48them. I just feel like they they kind
- 10:51of didn't go far enough in some ways.
- 10:55And it, it just, it goes back to multi cruise ships being like
- 11:02good. I mean, I feel like we just keep
- 11:04dancing around the fact that they need to make turrets able
- 11:07to hit targets, whether that's be make turret weapons bespoke
- 11:11like they did with the vehicle missiles, right?
- 11:16Being able to have these vehicle missiles that lock on at shorter
- 11:19distances and all that stuff, why not have bespoke turret
- 11:23weapons that have a faster velocity than so they can
- 11:28actually reach out and touch these targets, these light
- 11:32fighters. Do you mean a faster turning
- 11:34velocity or a bullet velocity? No bullet velocity.
- 11:38OK. I mean, because, because when we
- 11:40were running the the Banner Defender guns, the, I forget the
- 11:45name of them, but the Banner Defender guns on the yeah, yeah.
- 11:48The Singes on the Hurricane, that muzzle, the the projectile
- 11:54velocity is what made it worthwhile.
- 11:57I mean, getting not to mention the high alpha, but it took a
- 12:01bit to get used to those weapons.
- 12:02But that just shows like the higher projectile speed makes a
- 12:07turret deadlier. I mean, that's to me, it seems
- 12:10kind of like a simple change, but I understand maybe why they
- 12:13can't because or it's not a simple change because it's, you
- 12:17know, the weapons. You can take a turret weapon and
- 12:18put it on your ship, right? Right.
- 12:22I mean, they're the same guns. It just goes back to.
- 12:25There's got to be a way to get the both attached to the turret,
- 12:28you'd think. If attritions are going to get
- 12:30through everything then it's just the loadouts just shifted
- 12:34on the fighters, not their tactics.
- 12:39I mean, they're still just going to come and whittle.
- 12:41Away at you, dance around. You're in a hammerhead.
- 12:44You in a hammerhead, an anti anti fighter Corvette.
- 12:48You can't do anything PvP. Of course.
- 12:53Did did the radar changes make that feel any better?
- 12:58Not really, because it's kind of the same when you have your
- 13:00power in there. I mean, I get what they're
- 13:05trying to do with that, but it's, it doesn't seem like
- 13:10enough, you know? Well, it seems.
- 13:13Like a Yeah I. Don't want to say it's half
- 13:15baked, but it is like it's whether or not whatever their
- 13:20vision or plan is currently in its current form, it's half
- 13:24baked. Well, remember everything they,
- 13:29they tried the what was it something with the distances,
- 13:32right? The the distance got shortened
- 13:34or something to bring the fighters in closer.
- 13:37Yes, that got reverted. Yeah.
- 13:40Then I swear when we were playing, when we were playing in
- 13:44evil, I could have swore that we had we're doing damage with like
- 13:49attritions, but I, I apparently we were, but I thought when we
- 13:52were talking and scheming, we were like, oh man, finally it'll
- 13:55give a reason for like the vanguard come in with a
- 13:59sideswipe cannons and stuff. But it's just like we're just
- 14:03kind of like it's, it's a good start.
- 14:08But I mean, I don't know, it's just, it's just, this has always
- 14:12been a topic for the past, what, 10 years?
- 14:15It's just keeps going around and around and around.
- 14:17And why haven't we increased muscle velocity?
- 14:20And that's why we even got into like 3 crafting of engineering.
- 14:23You know, like have the engineer put more, put more power pips
- 14:31or, or shift power from like having your, your clip size in
- 14:35the turret, make your clip size smaller.
- 14:38But as you're making it smaller, you're increasing the velocity
- 14:40of the projectiles. But have it so only engineer can
- 14:44do it and, like, shift power around.
- 14:46And it's complicated, but, you know, make the engineer vital in
- 14:50this too on these bigger ships, 'cause right now they're
- 14:55arguably not really worth it, except in these really, like,
- 15:00niche cases like we had with the address the other night where we
- 15:03got boarded and fire and all that stuff.
- 15:08But I just, yeah. That's well, I'm wondering if,
- 15:11yeah, go for it, if they if they could introduce a system where
- 15:15an engineer can craft maybe, you know, like a mining of gadgets,
- 15:20but maybe an engineer can craft more effective gadgets that
- 15:25let's say boost, you know, your engine speed or boost your, you
- 15:31know, your, your fire rate for a certain amount of time or, or,
- 15:34or or or. Well, they talked about tuning.
- 15:37I mean tuning. Was this supposed to be a thing?
- 15:39Remember and then I mean they it's even sort of in there
- 15:42because you can save the presets, but.
- 15:45Yeah. I mean back in the day we used
- 15:47to be able to over clock components.
- 15:50I mean it it was just pushing a button but still like.
- 15:57Yeah, I think, I think, I think that's the kind of stuff now
- 15:59that they have more flexibility with that they could bring in
- 16:02and and who knows, maybe they might be planning on it.
- 16:05I I'm I haven't seen anything about that like recently, but I
- 16:10mean it's possible. Since everybody talks about
- 16:17multi crew not being deadly and that should be the focus is
- 16:21making you put all that effort in putting 6 people in a
- 16:24hammerhead or what have you, right?
- 16:28You should be a threat like it should be deadly and you should
- 16:32have to counter that. But yeah, right now there's just
- 16:360. You get a couple confident
- 16:40people and light fighters and you're done.
- 16:44Yeah, and then I feel like sorry.
- 16:46Go Duke. It it should be noted for anyone
- 16:48wondering, but Murphy is a fighter jock.
- 16:53Yeah, if you couldn't tell. No, it's like he he's arguing to
- 16:56to weaken his own side here. He he wants the multi cruise
- 16:59ships to to be stronger. You know he's not.
- 17:02He's not a Care Bear sitting in his Idris complaining that he
- 17:07can't solo it. I mean, you want, I guess you
- 17:10want a reason to jump into an Aries.
- 17:13Yeah, I want the reason for the bigger ships for the, you know,
- 17:18you know, back when the Redeemer was good, remember years ago, we
- 17:23loved it and we we'd go out and scan the ground for the
- 17:26ballistas and that whole multi crew of talking to and you know,
- 17:31like Dystorpius, right, the the old Dystorpius talking to your
- 17:36gunner. And that interaction is so good.
- 17:40But you just, I mean, you have it with fighters, but it's just
- 17:44different, you know? I miss the Redeemer that was.
- 17:47I do too. Well, make the Redeemer great
- 17:52again because. Things we miss, we have hold on,
- 17:56hold on, hold on. We have another caller here who
- 17:59who's been waiting for us and and and and and being very
- 18:02patient. It is you know him, you love
- 18:04him. It is Wicket.
- 18:05Wicket, welcome to Open Comms Radio, your Star Citizen call in
- 18:09show. You know, you can call in every
- 18:10Wednesday at 9:00 PM Eastern Time, 6:00 PM Pacific Time at 10
- 18:15AM New Zealand, Perth time, Perth time Wicket.
- 18:23Can I play Star Citizen with my kids?
- 18:26Citizens, long time listener, occasional caller.
- 18:31And the short answer is the short answer is no, you cannot
- 18:39play Star Citizen with your children.
- 18:41Finally, someone with some sense.
- 18:43In the Western world, that would be considered child abuse.
- 18:52What are you? What are you trying to do?
- 18:54You're exposing the child to this.
- 18:58I don't know what it's called. No, of course, of course you can
- 19:01play with your kids. But I would say that most kids
- 19:06nowadays, the younger, the gaming generation, I think their
- 19:10attention span is lacking. You know, they've been
- 19:13conditioned to swipe, swipe, swipe.
- 19:15They constantly needing that, that, that adrenaline.
- 19:19Of course there are going to be some some exceptions to that
- 19:22rule lenses son being one, this other kid that he was talking
- 19:26about, you know, these are exceptions.
- 19:28But I think for the most part, I don't know if you've ever seen
- 19:31those videos on YouTube where the guy goes like in the Times
- 19:34Square in New York City and he'd ask questions like he just pick
- 19:37some random young adult or adolescent out of the crowd and
- 19:41says, Hey, what, when was the the War of 1812?
- 19:46And they're like thinking and thinking, Oh, 2000, you know,
- 19:52that guy, I'm sure you've seen him.
- 19:54And, and, and I think that's the majority of, of, of the
- 19:58population. I don't know how it is
- 20:00everywhere else, but in the United States, most people are
- 20:03kind of dumb. Of course there are going to be
- 20:05exceptions. And I've tried to get my kids to
- 20:09play and I have adult children, as you all know.
- 20:12And my daughter when she used to I.
- 20:16Literally did not know this. I have AI have grandkids hobo.
- 20:21Yeah, when we call him Old Man Wicket.
- 20:24Like, I mean, I knew that part. It was the.
- 20:28I mean, that was pretty obvious. Yeah, well, the, my daughter
- 20:33used to usually come home pretty late at night and she'd see me
- 20:37sitting here playing, you know, Star Citizen and she'd, oh, you
- 20:40got these new joysticks. Why'd you have to have two of
- 20:43them? It's like, well, it's, you know,
- 20:45the preferred method of flying these spaceships.
- 20:47Oh, OK. She even knows the name Murphy
- 20:50Jack. It's like, how do you know
- 20:53Murphy? Jack knows that name.
- 20:54And, and you know, in the Western world, that's considered
- 20:57abuse. Well.
- 20:59Of course she would look and because you know I have multi
- 21:01monitors. She always saw Murphy Jack's
- 21:03name in the discord. She says are you playing with
- 21:06your buddy Murphy Jack? I said amongst others.
- 21:10Yes, but I one day she sat down next to me and she watched me
- 21:15start the game. And then after about 20 minutes,
- 21:20you know, I'm finally leaving the hangar getting ready to do a
- 21:22mission, she says. She said, let me stop you a
- 21:25minute. She says, are you getting paid
- 21:30to do this or did you pay to do this?
- 21:38And I'm like, no, this is a this is a game.
- 21:41And I'm like, she says, OK, well, I'm going to bed.
- 21:44I'll talk to you tomorrow. Now, my son, on the other hand,
- 21:48he's a avid gamer. He's been playing World of
- 21:50Warcraft since Burning Crusade. I mean, you know, he's very,
- 21:55very good at games. He's exceptionally good at
- 21:57games. I don't know if you guys know
- 22:00what parsing is. That's that's how you get like
- 22:03scores in World of Warcraft that other people in the world can
- 22:06see. He's like top ten in a lot of
- 22:08encounters in World of Warcraft, even to this day.
- 22:10And he's he's got his own kids now.
- 22:13And I've tried to get him to play this game and every time I
- 22:16do the first thing out of his mouth, You're still playing that
- 22:20scam. Are you still sending money to
- 22:22those scammers? And I'm like, man, it's not a
- 22:27scam, you know? But I get what he's saying and
- 22:33this and this and this I don't think.
- 22:39It's a scam forever. No, I think it's a scam.
- 22:42But I do say this, I will say this like we were talking about
- 22:48earlier in the chat of Twitch, we were talking a little bit
- 22:50about, you know, they need to advertise for for Squadron 42
- 22:56single player campaign. I really think they need them to
- 23:01to, to get that out to the folks, to the people and let
- 23:06folks know because the people who most everybody who's going
- 23:09to play that game for 100% sure we they already have that money.
- 23:13That money was paid to to CIG years and years and years ago.
- 23:18That money's been spent, right? It's incredibly difficult time
- 23:23for them at the moment because you know, usually you know,
- 23:27these kind of games especially I mean this still is kind of
- 23:31cutting edge I guess you need decent specs and PC building is
- 23:36hard right now. So they're going to need to go
- 23:38console too. That May.
- 23:39And that may be true, but again, again, every game recently, like
- 23:47there's so many games out there, like single, single dev games
- 23:51that have made it fairly big have been super successful.
- 23:55And one of the main reasons has been is because content
- 23:58creators, streamers have adopted those games and said, hell, this
- 24:02is fun as hell. And, you know, their
- 24:04communities, that word of mouth, that signal boosting really
- 24:08drives it home. And there's still, there's a lot
- 24:10of content creators that do Star Citizen, but they're mostly
- 24:13small. There's a couple of big ones
- 24:15that play it now and then. But for the most part, we need
- 24:20fresh blood. All of us here are going to play
- 24:23Star Citizen Squadron 42. All of our friends?
- 24:26Oh, no go. Ahead, all the people that all
- 24:32of us, most of the anybody that will listen to this podcast,
- 24:35they're all going to play Squadron 42 and they've already
- 24:39paid to play Squadron 42 probably 10 plus years ago when
- 24:42they bought their little package that gave them the, the, the,
- 24:46the MMO persistent universe and SC2042, right?
- 24:51So they need new money, I would think, and I think they need to
- 24:55advertise for that. They need to start now.
- 24:57Like if they don't, if we don't start seeing some ads or
- 25:00something January or excuse me, March, latest sometime in April.
- 25:04I was hoping by now we would already see something.
- 25:06If they really plan to release it by the end of the year.
- 25:11Christmas time is an awesome time to to to to release it.
- 25:15You know, I can see that. And I think it should be.
- 25:19It should be a $50 game, no more than 60 at the most for the
- 25:24people that it didn't buy in because you're going to get so
- 25:29much new fresh eyes, so much new fresh blood into the
- 25:32infrastructure of of this game. And if it's good, I mean, I
- 25:37think it's going to be pretty good.
- 25:38But if it's really good and, and folks really have that amazing
- 25:43experience and it's not janky as hell, I think it's going to push
- 25:49our game that we all love so much really over the edge.
- 25:53I think that's that's going to be the thing that really drives
- 25:56home with these folks have been trying to do all these years.
- 25:59But they they have to commit and they have to get it over the
- 26:02finish line. And the longer the wait, the
- 26:06worse it's going to be, I think. Now, when you're talking about
- 26:10the. Kids Yeah, sorry.
- 26:13Beautifully, beautifully said. Can I just say some just just
- 26:17very short and then you can take over.
- 26:20Agreed. The squad and is going to bring
- 26:24the fresh people, the fresh money.
- 26:27This Star Citizen also needs to be in a very good shape for that
- 26:33because after they play Squad and they will be coming to
- 26:36Stars, that isn't enough to that.
- 26:38We also need this online experience to be ready to
- 26:43receive them and have at least 60 to 70% good experience.
- 26:49Yeah, I agree with that. I don't know if that's going to
- 26:53happen, that part. But.
- 26:56You know, they're they're saving grace has always been well,
- 26:58we're we're in development. This is open development, you
- 27:02know, yes, you know, but the average consumer of video games
- 27:07nowadays, the average attention span that we were talking about
- 27:10earlier people there, there are so many different things to
- 27:14focus on constantly that take a lot less resources, that take a
- 27:18lot less time. And if you want to get the
- 27:22attention of of a gamer that has a lot of disposable income, I
- 27:27mean, let's face it, most of the people that play this game are
- 27:30pretty damn old. You know, I heard, I've heard
- 27:32rumors that the average age is close to 40.
- 27:35Oh no, it has come down, No. No, no.
- 27:39It used to be 37, but in the recent years it has actually
- 27:43come down to below 30. But yeah.
- 27:46But you need a heck of a. System.
- 27:48You need a heck of a system to play it, you know?
- 27:52Then there's all these ancillary things like, oh, do you need eye
- 27:55tracker or head tracker? Do you need sticks?
- 27:58I mean, you can't technically you don't need any of that.
- 28:01You can get away with a pretty basic system.
- 28:04If you know, if you're playing 1080P and you're playing kind of
- 28:09minimum stuff, I think you can get away with almost anything to
- 28:14to get it to play. It's not going to be great,
- 28:16let's face it. And of course, of course, the
- 28:19game, you know, the one thing that we always and to lean back
- 28:23against this, oh, they haven't optimized it yet.
- 28:25Wait till it gets optimized right.
- 28:29And I hope that's I hope that is going to be a thing.
- 28:32I hope it gets optimized to the point where you can, you know,
- 28:36put a 56700 dollar graphics card because you know, that's like a
- 28:40kind of a basic graphic card Now, you know, there's not a lot
- 28:44of people that can afford a four 3 to $4000 graphics card and,
- 28:50and put it into a like a, a, a, a two or three or $4000
- 28:54computer. That is true.
- 28:56Not everybody is a baller like Jar Jar.
- 28:59Not everybody's like me baby balling here everyday hanging
- 29:04out, reading your comments, reading your comments here on
- 29:07open comms radio. That's what we do.
- 29:08We like to read your listener comments.
- 29:11It's a call in show. We, we started to read comments
- 29:14to have your opinions to, to learn a little bit about, about
- 29:18everyone here. And, and what we're going to do
- 29:20today is we're going to read your comments out loud across
- 29:25all the platforms. If you commented on the YouTube
- 29:28or you were on the Spotify or everything except for the
- 29:31Deezer, because I can't get into the back end of the Deezer.
- 29:35It is lens you can't get into. Blue sky I cannot get.
- 29:38Into. Deezer, Deezer.
- 29:40That is a black hole. So honestly, put your negative
- 29:44comments on Deezer and everything else you can.
- 29:48You can put everywhere else. Duke later the second you have
- 29:50some of our recent listener comments here.
- 29:53This section of the show is called Listening to Comments
- 29:58from Listeners. All right.
- 30:02I'm going to I'm going to start with with an important one here,
- 30:05which is from at Spicy SCO 7 and and he or she said I like the
- 30:14intro song. That must be a.
- 30:19Clown must be a clown. That's been a pretty unanimous
- 30:23everywhere, but I've seen it, So that's good.
- 30:26Then I, I, I like this one from at anti Wait a minute, hold on
- 30:31at anti Lib delusions anyway, and it's looking at the
- 30:38thumbnail which which shows a lovely lady, which which usually
- 30:42represents cosmic hobo in our YouTube shorts and it says
- 30:46that's a dude clearly. So Hobo is is famously Hobo's
- 30:53character is is a lady. So if you happen to watch the
- 30:58shorts, Hobo is a lady in the shorts but.
- 31:02Lady in the shorts but a a dude in the cheats or.
- 31:05So there you go, hobo, how do you feel?
- 31:09I, I don't know, it's it, it, it depends on your, your, your,
- 31:17your viewpoint of clearly as as, as looking at my avatar.
- 31:22I would, I would not call that a dude.
- 31:25Yeah, I, I believe they have eyesight issues in in, in that
- 31:30instance. Yeah, I think it's also a point
- 31:34of a dude voice. I think it's one of those anti
- 31:37Lib dudes that spends a lot of time checking for Adam's apples,
- 31:40yeah. I think it's important.
- 31:42To note that that that guy obviously does not know how to
- 31:45play and is a complete new Bob. Because a smaller hit box works
- 31:51better in the game when you're playing PP, and that's why you
- 31:54suck at at at at all contested zones.
- 31:57And that's why you get stomped constantly.
- 31:59And no one wants to be. No one wants you in your org.
- 32:02So go, bitch, all right? Yeah.
- 32:05Little bitch. Like comments, tea bagging, tea
- 32:07bagging, right. Like Halo One?
- 32:10Yeah. Take that, nerds.
- 32:13That's what you get for commenting on one of our videos.
- 32:19OK, Tiki's house. Oh, this is this was, this is a
- 32:23big one here, Tikisao says. I like the new intro.
- 32:27What? Yeah.
- 32:29Damn right. Or terrible comments, by the
- 32:32way, these are coming. Up those are paid actors.
- 32:35Fake news this. Is not We don't have you speak
- 32:38from. California.
- 32:41Hey, wait a minute. California let's let's let's
- 32:45spread some of the heat here at I'm having a coronary.
- 32:49Seems like they should probably take care of that.
- 32:53The only thing CIG cares to know is how to bait and switch their
- 32:57supporters with new OP ships that replace old nerfed ships
- 33:03and will be nerfed before the next ship sail.
- 33:06That's it. That's all they want to know.
- 33:10I mean, we got Levski and we got fucking engineering and
- 33:13everything else like that. I mean, like, you're clearly
- 33:15objectively wrong. No, you know, I'm with.
- 33:19Him. I feel like you.
- 33:20Would already know that like I. Don't think that's.
- 33:24Like that would be something they already know, So what would
- 33:29be to know there? No at vio blight, vio blight,
- 33:39vio light. I hate to add on to the scope
- 33:41creep but one day a bullet resistant shield and a power
- 33:46sword would be cool. Wait a minute, I feel like we've
- 33:48heard from this person before. Maybe?
- 33:50Maybe for close quarters combat boarding or something.
- 33:52I own a legionnaire and I feel like my boarding party will get
- 33:55shredded or grenade as soon as well.
- 33:58Yeah yeah we've read this comment before.
- 33:59I think Jar jar and they were right.
- 34:01We should have a Shields in our on our arm and we should run in
- 34:04there with with covenant swords. Wasn't it somewhere mentioned
- 34:09that we're definitely getting a Cortana eventually in Star
- 34:12Citizen? I think they were joking about
- 34:14that at one point and I think they had said that they actually
- 34:17modelled it, but we're getting. A We're getting a crossbow, so.
- 34:22I was going to say we were supposed to have a crossbow like
- 34:242. Years ago this year.
- 34:25Yeah, it's coming this year. Oh, your damn lightsaber sig.
- 34:29Where? Where is it, Chris?
- 34:30Oh, Chris. Wicket.
- 34:32Wicket. Who should we be asking,
- 34:33actually? He's going to do.
- 34:36Sandy, it's. Always.
- 34:38No, don't forget Sandy, OK? At subprime, Porcupine says.
- 34:43And then you go to lead the hangar and blow up to an
- 34:46invisible thing that didn't render.
- 34:48And then you get to the planet, open the ramp, and fall into the
- 34:52By the way, subprime porcupine, commas and periods are your
- 34:56friend. Fall into the center of planet
- 34:59through a magical hole that looks like solid ground at the
- 35:02end of the ramp. Ellipses.
- 35:04That's a good pause. I like that.
- 35:05Ellipses are good and they get you to Hathor.
- 35:09Try to shoot something with -15 FPS.
- 35:12That might be a personal problem as well.
- 35:13And two hours of desync when the server decides the AI is going
- 35:17to work properly and everything crashes and you just lost 10
- 35:21hours of time. Poof.
- 35:23I feel like Subprime Porcupine is having a really rough time
- 35:27out there in the verse. Switch to Spectrum, Pioneer
- 35:30Computer. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:33Get one of those $4000 graphics cards.
- 35:36Yeah. Right and then send me your old
- 35:38one because I need to build. That guy, that guy sounds like
- 35:40he's playing on the China servers.
- 35:44My what? This is the last one we have
- 35:47this evening which which? Well, we got.
- 35:49One from Nikki D below. We got one from Nikki D at the
- 35:51bottom there. Nikki D called him today.
- 35:55It's a long 1 though. Oh, Jesus, Nikki.
- 35:59I know. Nikki.
- 36:00Nikki. Drew VIX.
- 36:03All right. There should be avenues in Star
- 36:05Citizens to allow for people to avoid combat to get at least a
- 36:07significant percentage of blueprints.
- 36:10I agree there should be a large amount of blueprints that can be
- 36:13sold by players to other players after they're obtained.
- 36:16I think that's the idea. There should be some blueprints
- 36:19that are locked to you in that you get them from a mission and
- 36:22they are yours and only yours and can't be traded.
- 36:26But to the extent that you can only get the blueprints from
- 36:28missions, you should not have to do that mission or gameplay loop
- 36:32more than 5 or so times before it drops.
- 36:35It gets repetitive. Would be really unfortunate if
- 36:38we have low percentage drop rates and have to grind for
- 36:41hours and hours and repeat missions just for your hunting
- 36:45for that one blue. I agree.
- 36:46So they put they got these new rock breaker things in which are
- 36:50supposed to be beautiful and atmospheric and well crafted if
- 36:53they fuck it the same way they did with the yeah, I don't
- 36:59remember what they were called, but the the underground facility
- 37:01there. ASD facilities.
- 37:03Yeah, and then you end up grinding it over and over and
- 37:06over again just to try to get loot that'll that'll ruin it.
- 37:09I don't know what you guys think about that.
- 37:15I'm with you. I'm with you and Nikki there.
- 37:18I don't really have an issue with blueprints being mission
- 37:22rewards and I think my biggest issue is that you can't trade at
- 37:25least yet. Them all being account bound
- 37:28just kind of seems very counter to what they were saying that
- 37:35they want to do with the blueprints.
- 37:36And I don't know if they're going to physicalize them later
- 37:39on, but I, I hope at some point that, you know, whenever the,
- 37:44the, they eventually implement the, the player market, that the
- 37:48blueprints that you get from missions, like if you're getting
- 37:52duplicates, you can at least, you know, send them to people
- 37:55that don't want to, that don't want to do those.
- 37:58Well, that's true. This is all currently just
- 38:00placeholder, isn't that right? But hopefully, hopefully instead
- 38:07of having a mission reward, it would be something similar to
- 38:10like the tech smuggler where you went in there and you finally
- 38:13got the break into the warehouse and you know you that's where
- 38:17the all the components ship components were.
- 38:19That's where you got the, the, the coffins and stuff.
- 38:24And then like maybe there's a machine you can Jack into the
- 38:27machine and there's a blueprint in there for you to, to grab and
- 38:31it's like on a comp board and that's the physicalized
- 38:33blueprint that you have to take back to your machine.
- 38:36Hopefully it gets to be something like that.
- 38:39My hope anyway, because it should be.
- 38:42We've just have been talking about this so much.
- 38:46It should be that you get a blueprint, you put it in your
- 38:49backpack, and if you get killed on the way out, well, guess
- 38:51what? You might lose your blueprint or
- 38:54you don't make it back to base and you might lose your
- 38:57blueprint. That's everything should be
- 38:59physicalized, I think. That for ship paint.
- 39:03Paint doesn't need to be physicalized.
- 39:05There will be some blueprints that will be limited and I think
- 39:09those will be physicalized, but I don't think like your P6 ammo
- 39:13or whatever should be or will be physicalized to like something
- 39:18simple like a basic blueprint like that.
- 39:20I don't think will be. But if we're talking a bangle
- 39:24blueprints, yeah, that I think will be at minimum limited, but
- 39:31that maybe should be physicalized and processed in
- 39:35like a computer or something. Well, you know, like right now
- 39:39we can we can pick up the better weapons in some of these these
- 39:44locations we go into. You can get better, you can get
- 39:47weapons, you can get scopes, you can get attachments.
- 39:52You know, the, the, the, the better attachments you can get
- 39:57all that kind of stuff. You know, either you can find it
- 40:01and. Let's say to make crafting
- 40:04worthwhile, either crafting allows you to keep repairing
- 40:08those things or those where they have wear and tear on them so
- 40:12there's a reason to keep going for them.
- 40:14Also if that you know any any kind of weapon that you could
- 40:18loot, you should be also maybe be able to loot blueprint to
- 40:21keep making it. All this is.
- 40:26What they said, I think. Yeah, I mean, that's the hope.
- 40:28That's the hope. You don't think there should be
- 40:31a limit on certain? Things.
- 40:33I don't think there should be a limit.
- 40:35So, Bill, Bill, what were you gonna say?
- 40:37Oh, you're good, sorry. So if the blueprint was
- 40:41physicalized and like you had to put it in your fabricator, then
- 40:45would that mean that the blueprint is basically localized
- 40:48to your fabricator? So then like if you take your
- 40:52fabricator out into the wild with you and blow up and die,
- 40:56gone, gone that. 'D be a good one.
- 41:00I think only for the big limited blueprints it should be that
- 41:03way. And by big I mean ships.
- 41:05Probably because that would give space bases something to protect
- 41:12other than just resources is you've got to protect your
- 41:15blueprints too, and a reason to not blow up a base is to steal
- 41:19that stuff. I kind.
- 41:21Of agree with that, except I would I would limit that to like
- 41:25basic things like stuff that you can buy at a ship or or at A at
- 41:29a store somewhere. And you had the you know, that
- 41:32that might be something that's a permanent thing.
- 41:34Once you have it, you have it. But anything that's, you know,
- 41:38above anything that's not sellable and get or not
- 41:41purchasable in game, I think that should be the physical.
- 41:44That's I think that's what the line is drawn.
- 41:46I'd hope there's then you know, there's a there's a sink,
- 41:50there's a faucet and there's reasons to do things.
- 41:54Thinking a faucet? Yeah.
- 41:56Well, Speaking of. Last question, the.
- 41:59Last one, yeah. Last one and so, you know, we've
- 42:03we've been trying to increase engagement because we you know,
- 42:06a lot of a lot of good, good callers on here, some familiar
- 42:08faces and we've we've been accused of of actually being
- 42:12actors and some playing characters so.
- 42:16Unironically. Yeah, on ironically, but so we
- 42:19we tried to branch out into Reddit.
- 42:21It did. It did not go well.
- 42:23Reddit hates us Lens. Lens Nation is really popular on
- 42:28Reddit. If you're on Reddit, you've seen
- 42:29Lens Nation's content. He's doing all the illustrations
- 42:31of the ships. You're always getting really
- 42:34positive feedback on Reddit Lens.
- 42:38So other than having talent, which is not an option for us,
- 42:41we'll have to look into how to do that.
- 42:47I've I've been on Reddit, I've posted quite a few things on
- 42:50Reddit. They are all at 0 karma.
- 42:55Well that's because they're all AI, you know, posts.
- 42:59Am I the asshole? Yeah, one thing I've been on
- 43:07Reddit like for four or five years now.
- 43:09So I started posting two years ago.
- 43:12Before that I was just consuming content on Reddit.
- 43:14The it's Simply put, like you, you can't promote yourself there
- 43:20at all. If I post my machinima there
- 43:23instead of my art, the chances of it getting engagement is
- 43:26extremely low because that's where you people are going to
- 43:32very highly likely going to ignore you if you're putting a
- 43:35YouTube link. Hey, I made this some cool
- 43:37machinima. Whatever.
- 43:39Promoting yourself is very very, very hard.
- 43:42So when I do artworks, my reason for doing art is simply because
- 43:47I, I enjoy doing art. I have always been doing art
- 43:50since I was a kid and I and I'm, I love sharing my art with
- 43:54everybody because that's the whole purpose of art for me is
- 43:57that it cannot exist in vacuum. It needs to be seen.
- 44:02You we hear about this thought that hey, just do it for
- 44:06yourself. Don't do it for the others, but
- 44:09why? It's a community.
- 44:11I I want to have a talk about it.
- 44:13I want to I want it to be shared.
- 44:15I want it to be seen by the right people.
- 44:18So no, I don't. I do want to promote it, but
- 44:22when I do this on Reddit, it's never done like it's I'm trying
- 44:29to promote it. If you see lately what I've
- 44:32started doing is it's like now I always post saying 07.
- 44:38I am Lens Nation and this is my hand drawn.
- 44:42This, this, this, this, this. Why I've started doing that is
- 44:47the problem on Reddit is you don't remember people, the
- 44:50people who comment on your posts or people whose posts blow up.
- 44:55Do we even remember their names? Do we remember their handles?
- 44:58I do. I keep a list.
- 44:59You do OK. Somebody really.
- 45:01But you see me, I got a list. But that's of course if somebody
- 45:06post negative, I remember them too.
- 45:08But so I started doing that and I want to create an identity for
- 45:13for myself in a little bit. Like I want to stay relevant in
- 45:15the community. Not that want to be famous or
- 45:19anything, but I want the right people to see it.
- 45:21So that's one way to do it. So don't promote yourself.
- 45:26Another hack that you need, which we figured out me read the
- 45:32result and fat bird, is that when you post something on
- 45:38Reddit, the very first few comments are very important and
- 45:43they need to be the kind of comments that shouldn't be very
- 45:49obvious that they're trying to praise you.
- 45:51They need to be very neutrally positive.
- 45:53They can be your friends man, even the people here in the chat
- 45:58if you post something, if a few of the comments are positive,
- 46:02you have very high chance of being accepted on Reddit.
- 46:07You're. Talking about manipulating.
- 46:10Yes. You have to culture.
- 46:11Yeah, yeah. Yeah, because people just follow
- 46:15along. Yeah.
- 46:16Yeah, exactly. Because, well, when I run for
- 46:19Congress, I'm going to hire you, Lens.
- 46:23No, no, no, no. Politics is not.
- 46:26It's the social media marketing. Unfortunately, the algorithms
- 46:28have made it hard for us. It's not fair.
- 46:31The system is not fair mate. Yeah, yeah.
- 46:34For example, like I can openly say I really enjoyed my time
- 46:37here with you guys today because it's like I'm in a very chill
- 46:41radio studio where there's no pressure of pleasing everyone.
- 46:45This is very nice experience as you should have more visibility,
- 46:49but the system is against you mate.
- 46:51It's always going to be the big streamers who are going to get
- 46:54the more views in the system. We'll just promote them.
- 46:56So yeah, you need to do the best you can to to slightly tilt the
- 47:02favours your way. Yeah, we please nobody.
- 47:05We're trying. We're doing.
- 47:07It for the love, but exactly. What a good remark is why it is
- 47:13so good. And I, I don't want to leave
- 47:15Disman. So Disman 7, I don't want to
- 47:17leave him hanging because he he had some great feedback for us.
- 47:21We did post a a thumbnail and a clip from the last episode on
- 47:26Reddit. And Disman 7 said really gently,
- 47:30he put it, I'm not going to watch that based on a dumb
- 47:33thumbnail and click bait title and description.
- 47:38And jar jar responded said it's not click bait if it's exactly
- 47:41what we talk about, which it is. And then Disman elaborated for
- 47:47jar jar. All the questions in the
- 47:49description are very click bait and now it sounds like a video
- 47:52of people just talking. I can theory craft with my own
- 47:56friends, thank you. Seriously, who are you and why
- 48:00should I care what your opinion is?
- 48:02Everyone just posts garbage and expects everyone should watch
- 48:06and like it. Yeah.
- 48:09Why do you keep? I'm producing all this garbage.
- 48:12I. Think, I think if that dude, if
- 48:15that dude actually came and listened, he would have actually
- 48:20enjoyed. Thank you.
- 48:22I think I think Disneyland should come on the show.
- 48:24I think he makes some excellent points and obviously has some
- 48:27strong feelings and that's exactly the type of
- 48:30conversations we want to have here.
- 48:32So you should actually get in touch with that dude and ask him
- 48:35to. Come with him.
- 48:37Oh, yeah, I'll, I'll, I'll show him that.
- 48:40Also, as a person who had to recover from things like
- 48:42depression and everything like that, let me just tell you right
- 48:45now, lighten the fuck up and your life will be a lot better.
- 48:48It takes some time to work at it, but if you're going to
- 48:50approach everything from a negative angle instead of giving
- 48:53it a try and finding new things and new experiences, you are
- 48:56always going to be depressed. Yeah, but I don't need to say
- 48:59that to being harsh, but sometimes you just need to kind
- 49:02of hear it. This is a Halo One lobby here.
- 49:06All right. Want to?
- 49:07Talk to Halo 1 lobbies, you say? Like also in Halo two there were
- 49:12no Halo 1 lobbies unless you were setting up a land party.
- 49:16So Halo 2 lobbies? Halo 2 lobbies, I'm sorry.
- 49:18Yeah, Halo 2 Halo. CE I get my, I get my history.
- 49:21Halo. CE I mean that if you had a land
- 49:23party, yeah, but you didn't have any actual public match.
- 49:28That doesn't count. That was like a decade later.
- 49:30Come on, man. Come on.
- 49:34Well, if you're still playing old games, you're in the right
- 49:36place. This is open Comms Radio filled
- 49:38with a bunch of old people and old folks here.
- 49:40We have nine of us here today, which is, which is quite the
- 49:45record. And we're coming up on two
- 49:47hours. So what we're going to do is
- 49:48we're going to, we're likely, very likely going to split the
- 49:50show into two. We're going to have a Part 1 and
- 49:53Part 2 Lens Nation, if you're OK with that.
- 49:56Yeah, no problem. With me, OK.
- 49:59With us, that's what we're going to do when they get really long.
- 50:02That's that's just how we how things go here.
- 50:05And here's a Star Citizen show. And we do want to keep it on the
- 50:09rails for Star Citizen. But I do know that Wickett has
- 50:13eyeballed a different MMO once again.
- 50:18Which one is he going to kill now?
- 50:19Which? One dude.
- 50:22Death of ashes of creation. Ashes of Creation.
- 50:26Are not my fault. I was AI listen.
- 50:30Hold on, let me bring, let me bring up my stock trackers so I
- 50:33can watch this one die. Yeah.
- 50:36Hold on the. New inverse new.
- 50:38The new hotness in my mind is this one called Scars of Honor.
- 50:44Sell shares, it's count 20 points already.
- 50:49No sell, sell. It's fantasy, of course it's not
- 50:52*. This just looks like a RIP of
- 50:55World of Warcraft. No, it isn't.
- 50:57It has it's. The art.
- 50:58The art, I mean, yeah, but the art is just World of Warcraft.
- 51:01The main guy behind the Scars of Honor, it's from Eastern Europe.
- 51:08I forget what country he's from, but he's got a whole.
- 51:10Team, we got some sexy dwarf underwear.
- 51:12I like it. Well, he like cow world or what?
- 51:15No, we. Got sexy?
- 51:16World of Warcraft, we've established that it's exactly
- 51:19the same. Well, he he, he said.
- 51:22Oh, they even have sexy zombie underwear in this game.
- 51:24I'm on it. Wow was a big inspiration, but
- 51:27there's other things, there's other mechanics, and it's free,
- 51:31free to play. And they're.
- 51:34Doing they they. He's very committed to ethical
- 51:38monetization. Of.
- 51:39Cosmetic only and I'm going to give you an example.
- 51:43I don't know if this will sway you or not, but one of the big
- 51:45things that they were going to have is that you could buy extra
- 51:48storage as an as as a, as a monetization Ave. and the
- 51:54community basically said, well, extra storage could be a pay to
- 51:59win mechanic. And a lot of people said, yeah,
- 52:03that's a pay to win. And guess what?
- 52:05Within like a week after they announced it, they'd said, Nope,
- 52:08we're not going to do it. You guys think it's pay to win,
- 52:10We're getting it, It's out of here.
- 52:12No more extra. Storage, So we don't support
- 52:16games around here that that monetize assets and and and
- 52:20customizations, OK. That's right.
- 52:23I play Call of Duty. Well, I would have checked it
- 52:26out, but it's already dead. The man that just announced that
- 52:30they're they're shuttering their production.
- 52:32Well, there's there is in April they have their first play, open
- 52:36play test. In April, they.
- 52:38Were going to have it. And it is free to play, you
- 52:41don't have to do any pre purchase.
- 52:43There's no all you have to do is request access on Steam.
- 52:47And I think it's if you're an MMO player, if you like that
- 52:51sort of thing, if you like the fantasy genre, Wow adjacent,
- 52:55whatever, there's there's way. There's way too much to get
- 52:58into. I'll let you guys check it out
- 52:59on your own if you're still inclined.
- 53:01I think think it it might be worth worthwhile.
- 53:04I'll be. Checking that, what was the name
- 53:06again? Is this scars of honor?
- 53:09Scars of honor. Scars of honor.
- 53:12If you want to see some dwarves. Draco Monday is back in the
- 53:17chat. Yeah, I see him.
- 53:19I see him. He's done.
- 53:20He's invited back up. He can come back up anytime he
- 53:23likes it. We are creeping up on the on the
- 53:26end of the show here today before we do our our last thing
- 53:30today. Anyone else have anything they
- 53:33want to add specifically about Star Citizen or, or inviting
- 53:37your kids to play Star Citizen or or what have you?
- 53:40Oh, I have one more thing. Anybody else?
- 53:46Afroman won his court case today.
- 53:48He. Did.
- 53:49Oh yeah. Oh yeah, he did.
- 53:52Afroman give us give us the TLDR you got high.
- 53:58No. Well, if you don't know, Afroman
- 54:01is the guy that the song about. I got high.
- 54:05Anyway, he was away. He was doing a concert somewhere
- 54:08and the police broke into his house, stole some.
- 54:13Well, they, they confiscated money and a bunch of other shit
- 54:17and turned off his cameras in his in his house, the security
- 54:22cameras. Well, he got pissed off about it
- 54:24and he wanted to get his stuff back.
- 54:26Then there was missing money that they took and he basically
- 54:31used the footage that he had captured of these sheriff's
- 54:35deputies getting into his house and their names.
- 54:38And he made a a disc video and a disc song and the police
- 54:44officers and the I think that the Police Department sued him
- 54:47over that and he won that today. He actually made individualized,
- 54:53personalized diss tracks for each of the officers.
- 54:58It was funny. Freedom of speech, truly, I
- 55:00think it's, I think. This is the perfect freedom of
- 55:03speech. May it be preserved?
- 55:06Yep, may it be preserved. May it be preserved.
- 55:11A new thing. All right, Lens Nation, man,
- 55:15thank you for coming on the show today.
- 55:17Really happy to to have you here.
- 55:19I hope you enjoyed yourself. Hope you had a good time.
- 55:22Oh yeah, absolutely. Yes, I did enjoy listening to
- 55:26you all. It was very nice, very cozy.
- 55:29Yeah, even though I was not on the couch, I definitely felt the
- 55:32cozy. Yeah, there's a lot of it.
- 55:33I had a wonderfully That was good.
- 55:36It was good. It was very nice.
- 55:37Thank you. We're going to keep our eyes
- 55:39peeled on you, Lens Nation. If you're listening to the show,
- 55:42check out Lens Nation. He's you got all kinds of
- 55:45content. I'd say you're kind of like a
- 55:46variety content. Really cool video.
- 55:49Would you be offended if I? Call you a content creator.
- 55:53I do. I started as a machinima maker
- 55:55because I, I'm a creative producer in real life and I of
- 55:59course fell in love with the game because of the beauty of
- 56:01it. And so I didn't really start.
- 56:06It goes back to my son. He wanted to do some like I have
- 56:09been playing it since 2018 and I did not even join an org or was
- 56:14not in a multiplayer platform or even on Discord until 20/21 when
- 56:20my son started playing with me. He was like, we watch
- 56:24documentaries together, like, like mega transporters and stuff
- 56:29like that. And he's like, it'll be cool if
- 56:30we do a funny video about this in Star Citizen.
- 56:33And it's like, you want to do that?
- 56:35He said yeah, so we started doing that and after that he is
- 56:39a big fan of Top Gear. He's seen every single episode
- 56:42of TOP. Gear and.
- 56:43Grand Tour, yeah, like even the beginning, the very first one
- 56:47when James May wasn't there so he's like, dad, we should do Top
- 56:50Gear in Star Citizen is like, OK, let's do that.
- 56:54So we started doing top Hanger, which kind of very few people
- 56:59know about it, but it's definitely more, more people
- 57:01know about it. And like slowly community
- 57:06started recognizing me and, and that happened and we, we've done
- 57:11a few episodes of that. So I'm a machinima maker
- 57:13primarily. That's what I really, really
- 57:15like to do, but also draw love pencils and love digital art
- 57:19quite a lot. And of course I get motivated by
- 57:23beautiful ships. So I started doing Star Citizen
- 57:26art two years ago and been sharing that, but I've drawn out
- 57:30for a lot of other clients in real life.
- 57:33I I love it. It's 4 wheel drives and
- 57:37vehicles. So variety in that sense of the
- 57:41way is there. But.
- 57:43And then of course, a stream here and there or whatever.
- 57:46Do podcasts got involved in short casting racing.
- 57:52Yeah, there's a variety, but it's not different games.
- 57:56It's just All Star Citizen. Yeah, variety of of practice.
- 58:03What do you call it in art? When you do, you do different
- 58:05things. Eclectic.
- 58:08I don't know what do we call it. Multi timeless, What do we call
- 58:13it? I don't know.
- 58:15Well, let's nation. The way we close this show out
- 58:19is we go backwards and I ask everybody the same question.
- 58:25I asked them, what the fuck do I ask them?
- 58:27Is there anything you like? You hit a Chris Roberts, CIG or
- 58:29the people you know we're going to go backwards.
- 58:32The last person tonight was Wicket.
- 58:34Wicket. All right, well, is there
- 58:38anything you want to say to CIG, Chris Roberts or the people on
- 58:41the Internet? Sandy and Chris Roberts and CIG,
- 58:45you get a break this week. I have nothing to say to you
- 58:47guys, but I do have something to say to the audience and to the
- 58:53the podcast enjoyers, the podcast participants, the
- 58:57guildies that we have. By the way, we are a Star
- 59:00Citizen Guild called Red Scar Nomads if you'd like to check us
- 59:03out or we, I just want to say this, this guy Jar Jar here, he
- 59:10puts a lot of time and effort into hosting this, promoting it,
- 59:15making sure it's making, making different, different content for
- 59:19the channel and for Star Citizen.
- 59:22Go to the community hub, look up Jar Jar Jabroni and give up give
- 59:28some updates to some of his content there.
- 59:30If if you think he should, he deserves it.
- 59:32Thank you. Thank you.
- 59:34OK. I appreciate it.
- 59:35It's very kind. Sandy Roberts also appreciates
- 59:39it. Murphy.
- 59:41Jack least their lawyer says. Oh, yeah.
- 59:45Because where I Yeah, he's he's been muffled.
- 59:49What do you call it? Murphy Jack?
- 59:51Anything you want to say to CIG, Chris Roberts, or the people on
- 59:54the Internet? 4 sevens coming.
- 59:59Exciting. Yeah, let's get an earn craft.
- 1:00:07All right, all right, Draco Mundy left us down there
- 1:00:12listening. Come back up if you want, Draco
- 1:00:15Cosmic Hobo. Anything you want to say to CIG,
- 1:00:17Chris Roberts, or the people on the Internet?
- 1:00:23Give us give us a give us a little taste of base boating at
- 1:00:26some point, just like you know, we'll we'll hint not cigi know
- 1:00:31you want to. Yeah, Lord Nubis, anything you
- 1:00:35want to say to CIG, Chris Roberts are the people on the
- 1:00:37Internet. Yes, if you're a regular
- 1:00:40listener, you'll know you've been waiting for me to say this
- 1:00:43all night. But I am so proud that Star
- 1:00:46Citizen is now slowly turning into Star Wars Galaxies, the
- 1:00:52truest and most ultimate curious form of MMO with the best entire
- 1:00:57system that we've ever had until Smedley at Sony Entertainment
- 1:01:01Studios decided decided to just, Oh well, I want to.
- 1:01:07I want to make money like Wow. And then just completely
- 1:01:10destroyed it. And I'll never forgive him for
- 1:01:12that. No one ever will.
- 1:01:14But now we have Star Citizen, the great New Hope arisen for
- 1:01:19all of us to be the new galaxies as we have been foretold.
- 1:01:24Dude, you reminded me we missed the topic.
- 1:01:26If you guys want to stay after this, stay for a second and
- 1:01:28we're going to do a postscript thing.
- 1:01:31Bill. Perfect, Bill.
- 1:01:33Perfect, beautiful, magnificent Bill.
- 1:01:37Bill, is there anything you'd like to say to CIG, Chris
- 1:01:39Roberts or the people on the Internet?
- 1:01:42We have to want to each other. Perfect, always perfect.
- 1:01:49Coming from Bell Lens Nation. Once again, thank you for for
- 1:01:54coming in and joining us. Is there anything you would like
- 1:01:57to say to CIG, Chris Roberts or the people on the Internet?
- 1:02:02I believe in you, Chris Might. I was probably didn't believe in
- 1:02:08you more than I believe in you now, since I've met you and seen
- 1:02:13you. Knows where you live.
- 1:02:18The thing is like like, yeah, keep doing what you're doing
- 1:02:22mate, but there are a lot of good people out there who
- 1:02:27really, really believe in your vision.
- 1:02:30People like Jar Jar and Duke later who are doing these
- 1:02:34videos. So will you please start
- 1:02:36supporting even new content creators please.
- 1:02:40And stop favouring the big ones. You know, because these people
- 1:02:45have more passion than those bigger ones who are already just
- 1:02:50working on their analytics at this stage.
- 1:02:52Because this is where the real community is.
- 1:02:55Simply put, always keep supporting new.
- 1:02:59Like after Jar Jar and these guys have become big, stop
- 1:03:02supporting them. Pick somebody new.
- 1:03:05Thank you very much. Yeah.
- 1:03:06Don't support us. Yeah.
- 1:03:08Yeah, I want. Yeah.
- 1:03:10I want you to one day forget about me.
- 1:03:12But not today. Thank you, Lance.
- 1:03:15I appreciate it. Well, Duke, we did it.
- 1:03:18We did it another one. Another one in the books, baby.
- 1:03:25Yep, this is Part 2 of the the show.
- 1:03:28Duke Later, you know what to do. Yep, Yep.
- 1:03:33Yeah. It's OK, You can do it.
- 1:03:39You got to do the the thing, Duke.
- 1:03:42Yeah. I believe you.
- 1:03:44Know what to do? All the crazy visions of me in
- 1:03:50LA. You're going to get us copyright
- 1:03:55Strike man. Not.
- 1:03:57Monetize. Not monetize baby.
- 1:04:00You can do what you want. You can still get a copyright
- 1:04:02strike. No, we're going to do it.
- 1:04:05I'm going to put it in the end. Yeah, you can still get a
- 1:04:07copyright strike. Yeah, doesn't matter.
- 1:04:13We'll scramble it, We'll scramble it.
