- 0:15[SPEAKER_01]: These are our other hosts.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, brother?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's a good, man.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: How are you?
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: We go on.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: We've been interested in having everyone day to my wife yesterday at the time of this recording.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yup, yup, uh, kind of uh.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: A mixed emotion day my partner had a hard attack.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Same.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: Same on him.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: woke up.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: Was going to get the kids breakfast to the day off from the stove.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: When the guy on breakfast came back and my partner hit me and I was like, hmm, 8 a.m. 7 a.m. 8 a.m. And there, time I'm like, ah, you know what's up?
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yo, I had to hit you man.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm so on the way to the hospital now.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: Hard attack.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: I got my mom was kind of just off the entire morning.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, you know what I'm saying, right for this.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: And the whole lot of things with my courses, his safety and his health was was primary.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: It also was a reminder of, you slip, yeah, you definitely slip.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so he's a,
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: the news is more positive, was more positive they went on because his wife hit me was like, hey, the update is that he couldn't get the stand in today because their slots were full of a much activity, probably schedule that activity.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: And immediately came to my
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: that kind of seems positive in the sense that they can wait until tomorrow.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because, you know, my guy here, there was no, there was no wait.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: So then just in, and he could wait and she wasn't in pain.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, the stuff like that, like you said, that's a wake-up call.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, all around.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like,
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: kind of had a similar situation of of daughter relative will have an stroke.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, yesterday.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: So when he in got a check, uh, totally different.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: It was a nerve issue more so than a, uh,
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm not doing what I'm supposed to do with my cholesterol and my blood pressure wasn't right what now All of that so outside of that Like this there's a lot of reminders and and and bail wringers going on yeah right now, man So um Top of the show Like she has subscribe Another thing not the half has a little throw it in but February the 24th 26th we have the live coming up
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: got the live coming up.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: How are you feeling about that different?
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Feel different this time around?
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's it's the it was feeling different for a while because my expectations were one thing.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, based on the speed of the other one.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but as I'm
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: put in things in some perspective.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: I realized that you really just got to trust the process.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it is what it is, man.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, what it is, 20 people there, 200 people there, they don't get a show, they don't get a show.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: And another thing that I was, you know, I follow in our reference capital stage a lot, and he was telling the story about,
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: his show now is selling out.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's still surprised.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: And it said, well, how big is wrong?
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, what's, you know, it's a hundred, but it's, it's not a, it's not a, it's a show that he's on, like, working out, like, his workout room.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's going around and figuring out for the actual show when he starts going into bigger crowds.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: But he was like, it's still,
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: kind of mind blowing to him, and I'm like, well, he is.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: If you're still worried about, like, I guess I don't know when you don't stop worrying about it, or it doesn't become a thought.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: And he was talking about shows.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, man, that was 11 people there.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: He said, we went to Germany, and that was 11 people there.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: the game.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: It is you control what you can, what you can't you can't you just I'm gonna the wheel gon' turn the show gon' be dope.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: The show gon' be dope.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: The camera's still gon' be there.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: So it's gon' be live.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: We gon' get right to it because again as always you'll see what I mean how they go into the same thing.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: Dear
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: What's he got for the end of rest it wasn't a stop saying that time and there's a lie Yeah, I sent a group text to the uh to the better together crew About my dad's assessment or the show that he had just watched yeah and he was saying I I think this one he said I said I know this one is gonna go somewhere He was like I just hope
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't that quick, but I'm condition he was like as it goes somewhere.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: I hope this all remain who you are.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: This don't become, don't let this show make you become something else.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think you got to become something else.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, stay who you are because that's why I was working.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: And that's like I said in the last one, like my prayer has been let me stool with this right don't let me become a caricature.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let me become anything else.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: arrogance.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: The ignorance piece is I think that's an ignorant approach to do what it's kind of is it's a double-est what to do something to get somewhere.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Got you there.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: They have to do different things to go further.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: But in terms of changing the character of who you are, that's uh, that's what my mind immediately went and has been for for some time.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: What stands out most is, is like you say, is to start to tell yourself, I know, I know, I got it, I got it, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, to the point now, people can't talk to you.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: So now what happens is, when I know, I know, I know, but we're talking about there.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: So now when you bump your head and now you're looking for assistance,
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: There's no assistance available because it's assist you.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Why, you know, you got it, you know, like they say, the, the ignorant man knows everything, the wise man realizes he knows nothing.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, it's, it's, I'm talking to my son about things, brain.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: you can't even get it out good before you I know you don't know so because I just stood right here and watched you make the mistake and now I'm in the midst of trying to correct you so you don't make the mistake again you so accustomed to knowing and having the answer that when you don't get it accurate
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: You don't even have the humility or the discipline that's done there and be corrected on it because you it's uncomfortable space for you.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll get into that in a deeper in episode.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: So again, like we've known the attack these personal family relationship wise business.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: So the ignorance of arrogance, let's start relationship this time.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: We know the kind of thought that in the middle
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: We have the conversation we had on the live.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: We were talking about how we'll have a cookie cutter approach to how to care for a person.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: This is my love language.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is how I know how to love this woman.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: This is what she gonna get.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think about, let's say, for instance, because again, it is important that we do teach our sons how to be like the proper courtship, if you will, of a woman, right, the relationship.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: So how do we properly caution?
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Try to be mindful of my wording.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: How do we properly caution our sons on?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: not having the big head and walking up to man.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: I can get in pleas in the woman walking man.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: What you talking about?
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: Who you talking to?
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: So you can miss out on a good woman that's actually perfect for you trying to be arrogant and not knowing or approaching her and having a genuine conversation because you know how to, I know what a woman want to hear, come out of my mouth.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: How do you caution your son against that?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the gift and give him the information, right?
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: I know that there can be a lot of assumptions and some days actually still try to live by careously through that, you know, there's something that the freedom, you see, it's something right before to get locked down, right?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: But I think there's there's a responsibility in how you communicate
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: and not present in a way that seems celebratory of the wrong behaviors.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, son, don't lock yourself down.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: Don't tie yourself down to one woman.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean tell every woman that you would that you to one person and just be with 18 of them.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: That you've said to be in 18 of them.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's aggressive.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's aggressive, but what kind of, just having a real conversation instead of assuming
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: it it'll work out right you'll figure it's like oh this is just a stage that he's in or you know that that's just kind of how it is.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing is teach them the importance of his environment.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: Because I've said it before, your environment will change you long before you change it.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, in most cases.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, in most cases.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: Now, when you evolve to a person that can go in and affect change, cool, but 17, 18, 19, 25, even, you're kind of flocking for a reason.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: So be my flow of the people that you're around and what they're reinforcing and be responsible for what, for what, you know, what energy you put not there to that group, because a lot of it becomes pleasing that group.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you don't want to say it.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: You want to suggest it to your own man and you do your own thing.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: But a lot of decisions make it early on.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: Typically has in mind what they'll think, yeah, I know there's instances where I did this because I got to be able to, like I can't go back in, it's telling them that this happened or it didn't happen, I got to be able to be able to had that slower.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: groups that mature together and look back on the stories of all yeah think differently of the stories of all they do you just can't see that in real time you don't say as always it's kind of like um the the sooner
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: the sooner you can live with your decisions based on how you feel and how those around you feel, I think the better off you'll be positioned to end in that stage.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: And make you less impressionable.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's because that's a thing of the arrogant part, the ignorance and the arrogance of even those qualified to redirect what you got going on.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: your arrogance creates a deaf ear if you wait.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: Because there's a level of ignorance in assessing, oversecing the source of the information.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: Good information is good information.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: But sometimes the the optics helps it will discourage us from receiving that information properly.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know the universe sent this to me.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care, sometimes it's hard because that sounds hypocritical because again, there are times where the most non-esthetic person has had some of the best advice I've ever read in my entire life.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: But you have to realize you're looking at a current right now in the moment version of this person.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know who they are, what they've done, what they've been through.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: and the order judge how they got here.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes there's a such thing as burnout.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's a such thing as mental health.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: There's this factors.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: So we can't get caught up in the packaging and miss the message.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: So shifting a little bit, I saw a clip on social media where a person
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: was criticizing another person for not approaching an issue the way they would.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: The arrogance of ethnocentism we use our own life's experiences as a meter or a judge.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: This person had something, let's say there's two people, right?
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say man, let's say woman, I don't want to
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: drop names.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: So if there's man, there's woman and this man thinks that whatever this woman has going on, you should publicly expose that and share that with the world and talk about it.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: And the person was like, I'm not doing that.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: This is my personal private business.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: It works for me.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: If it's good enough for me, it's good enough for everybody.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: How critical?
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Because, because obviously at home, we can have conversations without children and our family and our friends that we possibly wouldn't have publicly.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because you will receive it different than a stranger would.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: Because you know me, you know my mind said, you know my heart, right?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: What's an effective approach to shading light on not being so quick to force our way on the next person?
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: Um.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think I've been the most guilty of that as a parent.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it's only a recent revelation, recent, recently, given the last three years of having adult children.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's because I have the way my house was set up.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: My opinion was the authority, right?
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that's typically how it is.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's how it should be to a degree
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: ensuring that your family is safe, healthy, like, ensuring that the best outcome for situations in your house.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: Also now, having rear children into adults to be thought leaders for the most part.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: means I had to deal with conflicting opinions.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it's.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: There's merit to both sides offer.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen it done this way in my life so many times.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, voila.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_02]: Having to be transparent with myself.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't move.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: The way that my parents think I should move in every situation.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: they've been every age I'm about to be.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm saying, right?
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: So that there's, I think, I think as long as there's respect, maintain,
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: And that's another thing like, do you actually respect this person for who they are in that character?
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: And is that why you listen to us?
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Is there some unsolicited somebody trying to force the information on you?
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think there's the lens that you got to wait at as well.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: Also great information, life changing information can come from a stranger.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: But those are things that consider.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: So you got to be mindful of the source.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I think as you mature, you start like where I am now, it's starting to think about why they have this position.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody that can explain that position, I'll listen to that doesn't mean I'll agree.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: But if you can't, if you're giving me advice that you can't support, I'll take that with a what a grain of salt.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: Also maybe it planted the seed in my mind that I go research and I go look into some things it doesn't mean I I move on it immediately so so when when When people are trying to force their opinion on you You got to say you got to say my full of like which are ultimate goalie right does this support like
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: what do I gain by listening to this person or taking this advice?
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: Does it align with where I'm trying to go, right?
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that could start a number conversation.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: Am I actually going to the right direction?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Because if one of my children, my daughter, is convinced of a thing that I know for sure is wrong.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I've explained it at length.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: They have to go on grace.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: They have to go on grace and take them bumps.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: And in,
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm right, like you said before, we kind of walk on back and we can figure out where the learner lesson was, but I think I think it's for me in my house, it's way, it's as important for me to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be,
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: to maintain the level of respect for them as adults.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: So that I'm not eroding the relationship or putting up a wall or a block from future conversations.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: I try to stay mindful of my delivery because I'll be convinced that I'm right about the thing.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: Live with board.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: And my delivery, like you have to really combat that.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: You don't say it's all those things.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: That brings up a valid question that I want to ask you about that.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: is the line blatant when it comes to in my mind this is what I see as right and wrong as a good path versus a bad path good choice good decision versus bad decision is the line blatant because again we talking about is this my discipline my experience or is this my arrogance or
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: between telling like like watching, especially older, watching our children make decisions.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know for a fact that this next move, let's say friends in my son is about to make a movement.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's a, it's a one in a million chance, literally one in one million chance that this going to go right.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: So you advise, hey, you bring up the one in one million chance and he just so happens to
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: And now you're thinking yourself, yes, but thank you.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's not reality.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not hating, I'm not hating that it hit you.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: But so there's the arrogance, right?
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: The line, are you so stuck on or not you personally, but I just, you're, you're, I want your thought process that exploded.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be a me.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: If the line is here, and he hit on that one in one million, is it like, I really, I can never not be excited that my son won, let's start there.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: But do you still double down and say, listen, you hit, but please understand, that was a one in the millions, like don't, don't make a habit out of, out here taking these risks.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then he hit you with the watch out, you was just wrong.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: Don't, you can't talk to me right now, but don't jump out of him, this one in the million.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: You might want to listen to me for a little while.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's easy for that to creep into his head.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Explore this scenario for me.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think in that and that's put myself in that scenario Um, I did that.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm giving him again the advice and perspective from a good healthy place and you're saying these are the chances, right?
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: If he wins, neither one of us is wrong.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, neither neither one was wrong.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: It if
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's on him or my daughter whoever to accept the information that I'm giving them.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like if they totally disregard it and only are so hyper focus on the one win, that people that live their life like that.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: But my duty is explaining that.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: losses are part of it too, when I say and focus on the losses, but I want you to be prepared.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want you to, I don't want this one thing to put you in such a place that the moment you say a lesser win, you, you ready to throw it all away or make some, some elevators, decision about your life because things don't keep working out that way.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I think, I think it becomes a healthy conversation, if he could put together 20 of those in a row.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: The conversation may turn, like, hey, do you have a course?
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, yeah, put me on, so we said that, but I don't think you stop.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you stop helping shape reality based on information that you have.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: There is experience determines what they believe is real or not.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think you know, go hands off of it.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: I was wrong that time.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to just let them, I'm going to let them fly.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, right.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: Typically, this happens.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: rarely does anybody beat the chances of life every time in life.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: True.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: Also, if you hit it being here, let's talk about
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: How do you make this last?
- 22:50[SPEAKER_01]: If we're talking about money, it was like, oh, I guess money is an easy example.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you hit for that million.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: You can't live like you're going to hit for a million every month, every year, every, every cup we eat like.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: You have an amazing opportunity to do something sensible that can sustain you that can set you up for the life that you want.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: I just think the danger is taking a hands off or us becoming too arrogant.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: before they or are matching their arrogance.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: And they can't see down a road that you travel.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: You could tell them
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: and then when they're driving, oh my, that told me about that.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: But they didn't necessarily see it.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: They had some awareness that these things are possibilities when you see that sign turned there.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: You go past the sign, then you got to flat time.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever it is, right?
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like you got to give them the baseline so that there's something that builds the trust to whether they can continue to have conversations.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fine with the conversation being,
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: That you was, I hit again, not even you were wrong.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: It did, the chances were in my favorite game.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Cool, son.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: Also, this is how, like, this is 30 years up the road.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: I've got to give you my view.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: I must.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: The biggest thing that stood out to me is how you said that.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: both of those are right.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because you didn't say it was impossible.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm I'm just exploring the the good and the bad, which is I'm trying to make sure you're hiding your awareness that is it?
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: Is it saying that I don't believe in a thing for having a backup plan?
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think about that?
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: Too many cases of it working.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: It gets it's what risked like
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: The guidance is especially going to adulthood after it's do as I say, because I say it so yeah it's.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: be accountable and take responsibility for all your choices that you make.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: The collection of the choices that you make, though, I still got to do it the day.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: I can tell my like, I messed this up.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: I really wish that I did it different.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, and that's why I have to move like this now.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: So if they get to a place where for your lack of input and effort, they don't actually know how to accept responsibility or they don't even believe that they had anything to do with.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: the law, so to fill you, I think that's where I would kind of look at myself like man, I, you know, I missed the bone on that one.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: But to the extent that, you know, they're going out there and trying things, somebody in the family has to try something that the family didn't try before.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: True.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: What a family to be different.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: Hence the
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: you know, like there's actually people out in society that are advising up and coming whatever industries type people that
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: to have a back-up plan means you're planning to fail.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: Equal extreme take the safety net down and just jump from that building to that building.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's dangerous because now you're telling this person to totally.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: It could be received as I don't want to simulate that you're you're not having a thorough conversation with that methodology.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: However,
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: It can be dangerous if you now disregard the purposes of that safety net.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: I get it the overuse and dependency on that net.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: is a hindrance, and it'll stagnate your growth.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: I get that.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: However, to say just take it down, not reduce it, not diminish it like, hey, it used to be up this high, lowered it, or whatever the case is, whatever your assistance is to say, cut the court, jump out there, crash out our hills.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's why the wording of there's ignorance in arrogance.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't say being arrogant is totally ignorant.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: There are just a five situations where a certain level of arrogance is needed.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: You're perhaps under-appreciated.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: Your industry, your corporate job, your household, your relationship, they don't quite realize the value of what you're bringing to the table.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: So the arrogance of believing in yourself more than anyone else, because obviously, more often than not, that's what we associate arrogance with, you surely do think how have yourself.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm must.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: to an extent though, it's how I perform or how I move and that high belief of myself though, not just going around beat myself on the chest saying, I'm the greatest, don't talk to me.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's the toxicity that makes the conversation about the ignorance and arrogance.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: So shifting into the business realm, right?
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Again, you made a valid point, man.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's always, I bring it up a lot because it always stick to me, man.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: You sell a lot of stuff stick with me.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: But when we were recording two years ago, wow.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: Two years ago, you said, we're going to keep doing what we're doing, pushing, record, record, catalog is built.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: And the catalog is built.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: the foresight, the you were ahead of your time because you said the worst thing that can happen to us today is for the platform to blow.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: And we got 20 episodes.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:35[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:35[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 28:38[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 28:38[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 28:39[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 28:39[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[UNKNOWN]: Yeah
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: You can pick, you tell me, you can, we can pick too soon and not be ready for the level of interaction and exposure that this is going to have.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't say could have, may have going to have.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: You said timing was important and wholeheartedly
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: agreed after hearing you say that in that moment and now it's it's manifested, you know what I mean?
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like it did everything you said it would do and there's a catalog available for this phase that's taking place.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: So the dangers
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: The ignorance and arrogance.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say again, young up, coming young men, trying to start a business, or get out in this business world, and they open up a company.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: And they do all of the right things as far as I look up.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: This is how you market.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: This is how you explore.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: This is how you put the word out that you're in business.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: And now the customers are beating the door down and you don't
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: You've had the conversation, because I know we are.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: We had the business plan and all the conversations were had.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: So just educating the point of this segment is to educate our youth on processes and procedures.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be so ignorant in your arrogance that you're so good at a thing, you're amazing.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's robbing you of the fact that you are absolutely amazing at singing or music or art or whatever you the old thing is you the man there's a business to everything though if you're trying to go into business there's business in business you can be so ignorantly arrogant that you're so great that your greatness is going to carry you
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: How do you feel about the importance or real life applications that can be used to help our sons and our daughters as well?
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: Help our sons understand, great isn't great enough.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's a really good question because I wish I had thought through this early or because I had the I had the safety net of corporate as I was claiming entrepreneurship.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: When the safety net was gone, that was still resources and as a resources window, it started
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know about it, but you've taken for granted that things were going to work.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: And part of that conversation about not blowing is the work is the work, like it takes the amount of work that it takes for you to be successful.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's not a mirror of anybody else's effort or work or their story.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I think one thing that's kind of dangerous now, we got to be mindful of now is,
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: because there's so much information and readily available of people telling and selling you their success, yup.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's too full, some are predatory, some are not.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: But you always gotta be mindful of people are telling you right now what success to the light that probably took them seven eight years.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: And they're delivering it to you in a clear concise way, even if they say it takes seven or eight years,
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: somewhere in your mind, some of us believe because of the arrogance, I'm a condense this day.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: What took you took them eight?
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I'm about to do this in one.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Two tops, two tops, right?
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: And that's one of the more dangerous thing.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's where some of the buyers were most comes in.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: um with with the quote like when COVID hit and courses went crazy, a lot of them were flow.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: That was straight money grabs.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: But also like if you watch like EYL or or people that talk about investing in stocks over long to end on lock is the Dunlabs is a great one.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's like buy and hold a lot of people at teacher flip and I think
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: But you can't take a buy-and-home strategy and apply to daily stock flip, and then you're going to be successful and then be mad at the buy-and-home strategy when your daily stock flip and ain't work.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: So the information age is great and terrible at the same time.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: So again, I'm realizing that the...
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: the most important thing for me to focus on what my daughter children and my younger children who think that those is accountability and stuff where this is.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like you can, there's no way to stop the flow of information that they have access to.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's too many stories presented because if you look at one story, the algorithm shows you another story that's like it and you believe the story is the truth.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it can't be the truth for that person, but you gotta,
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: You got to be realistic about if the goal will be accomplished, you have to be committed to whatever it takes to accomplish the goal for you.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever that looks like.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm on this side of the journey.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm dead now.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: I wish I was dead a little bit early in terms of got all the information, information without execution.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: doesn't work it, even the way you execute probably matters most.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: It does.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: Because having the information readily available, kind of makes you think that you've got some time or some grace or like that's accelerated you more, didn't really have.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: You still got to, you still got to do the work.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: You got to do whatever it is.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Get the information.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: be realistic and also be willing to adjust your timeline.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: We all saw, but we don't change the goal.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: Street slows you go to another street.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: You don't go back home.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: You still got to get to the place.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: I got to get there and a lot a lot of what I've seen and and sometimes I've been guilty of a teetering on it is they lied to me.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: Because I got to put it somewhere.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: They lied to me.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: I did this
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: doing exactly what they did worked at the times in the moments that they did those exact things.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: These are principles that you got to apply and you got to see how your timeline shake up.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: All that is bringing.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's brilliant because the arrogance of, because I know I didn't make a mistake, right?
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: I know I applied myself has to be the source, whoever I got this information from, this
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't that, like you say, the time is changed.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: There's a different time, different era.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: There were 10 people doing it when that process worked for that person.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: And that's 300,000 people doing it.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's, there's a different approach.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: There's a different method.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm guilty of reverse engineering more often that I should put any time and it think I'm in my house holding a box.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just simply department.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: And after a while, you feel like if I've done one, I've done them all.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: So because if I feel like I've done one, I've done them all.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: The arrogance of, I don't need to read this instruction book all the way through and through.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: You talk it to.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just cruising here, giving to me.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then you flip to the last page and you look at the end product.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that board go there, I'll be right back.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: that applies to exactly what you just see.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, a product watching, I see them boys online.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: Got it, two cameras, two microphones, bit.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: Be right back, off to the race, off to the race.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be right back.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't read, you didn't research, you didn't look, you didn't, what's the brand?
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, one of what it looks like on the outside of those cameras that I can't see.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: What's on the other side of these cameras that I just don't have my eyeballs on?
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: So you look at that finished product and that picture, you throw it together and you look up, there's parts laying on the floor, there's bolts, extra.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: They just, they thought if maybe I lost one, but the whole frame is, you just can't do this.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: You just can't do this too.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's true.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you put this in the place.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's not moving again.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: Because if it is, and you'll find yourself, now you have to now spend time, effort and resources tearing that thing back down.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: and going back to the beginning as you should have the first time and now step by step and then when you finally get to that part and you realize the importance of what you did skip and miss.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_00]: I needed this anyway.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know what else is critical about that?
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: Some of those things are made to be assembled and this is assembled and reassembled.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: So when you put the screw in the particle board
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't grow it.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: And now, yeah, yeah.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you'd say, just grow out.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you got to find a bigger screw.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: You got to put some putty or something in there because it wasn't, it was made for you to do it because the price that you paid for, right?
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't pay for the symbol.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, you paid the price to say, you're going to do some work.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then you chose not, that's really good.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: So not to follow the instructions.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: That can, that's you, boy.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, sir.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: Because you ain't want to pay somebody else's.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to pay for high quality things that comes in a way.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: you preaching that way, man, because that's that's it.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: That is just short of a daily to weekly occurrence, I'm telling you.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're really looking at it,
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's plenty arrogant little corners being cut all the day-to-day like bye.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: I got a couple of shows with the unfinished age out.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: Because why?
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: This was supposed to be up to the back.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: Then I'm preaching that out.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's functioning.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody cared about the age being out.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: Do it all the book now.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: You guys touch your hand.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: Come on then.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: story of my life now that I didn't now I would sit there and study my assembly time is way long then because I'll read the instructions as if I got a teacher course on it so wait a minute I got a wait a minute I probably read it for three hours first pop it up like a newspaper like this right with all the school and then these schools will be this size we got seven but we got there
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm lying to the screws up with what they say, my, my item and product list because I'm learning that lesson.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna start.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, man.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: They left because mistakes happen here.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: They legitimately left this off, but I've gotten so far into the process that now I have to return this whole thing.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: I got a, I got a trailer moving.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: You saw my trailer.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I bought one that was smaller.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it was too small.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I called the lady.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, hey, uh, again, my arrogance, I'm in the store.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, I need to measure nothing, just to warn right here.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_00]: Give it to me pop off to the house.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, the little, the little engine that could.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I got to take this back.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to move this trailer.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I take it back without call first.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she was like, hey, if you assemble that,
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: We've got to charge you 25 percent.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: Restock fee is not in this original packaging, but it's absolutely ridiculous.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: Man, all I did was just save the next man.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_00]: From man, I should be charging you.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: I should charge you.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually what I thought.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: I should charge you for assembly.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: I now just put one together, man.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody ready.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I went up there, the manager swapped me out.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't charge, but the restart.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't pay me for my services either, though.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: But we just called him.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: The way we steal a thing.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: You need to have to finish the sentence, that act.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you saw me.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, you know, come on, let's go.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, you might just kind of ring.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: 1099, I'm gonna be the W9 of you, man.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: I got the interesting for that life.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy, man.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: We, uh, yeah, you know.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: If you allow life to, it will teach you every chance you get and along, the longer I went without taking them lessons, the tougher life was and that's what I'm trying to be my oldest son.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: We're in the phase right now with like, uh, you got it.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: Not even really you got it, but you got the gold you got to see it.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: You got to see it, man.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to make, I'm trying to walk that fine line of tough love and present as if communication isn't desired, there's only so many ways to say a thing.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: what I was advising.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: I could, I could not be a hippocritical to sit on here and suggest that if he don't, I don't.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: Also it's frustrating.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: Also it is.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do the same thing with the boy.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm hands out and I'm I'm I'm full of it not coming across as I don't hear or I'm I'm not welcoming and so I'm talking but I'm not I'm not drilling you know because then you can drill drill drill that it just becomes noise.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm trying to make certain that the important things that I'm sharing with them don't become noise.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also mindful of not every time you talk to me has to be a lesson.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: Some stuff need to just be fluff.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: Just need to be.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe what you're doing was supposed to light this and create this on the because you want to you want to teach the counterpart of life.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: You're not here to work in pay
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: get you some enjoyment in life, so I make memories travel.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: What you're in your partner's doing for spring break, you coming to the crib, y'all traveling because that's a thing now, you're in college.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_00]: Don't listen to, don't let my mom tell you you need to be home for spring break if that's not what you want your partner's on, if it's time to get out.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_00]: Hey man, listen, don't cheat yourself.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're weird, that's like who we're right.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_00]: We're right.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_00]: Spray break or we can, you're welcome to come home
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: Come kick it.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want you to think that's not a thing either, but I don't want you to feel obligated and feel like you can't entertain conversations about your adult and your college interaction.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: You enjoy that college life, man.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's the U.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's the only man that raised me and I agree.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's sometimes it becomes a ego battle.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: and I'm trying to avoid it.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: My son's not ego.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't, like big ego doesn't present.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'll for the same day.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not, I'm saying ego battle becomes for me in terms of not being patient enough, long enough because it doesn't look like mine.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: Or, or because I know how mine look.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't want you to, I don't want to have this one.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: We don't need this and we really don't.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a, we had the phase, man.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: I was, I was, I was telling my system.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, he has entered the foolish phase, which I get as an
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: And it's even safe, if foolish, foolish, not reckless.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, as I had, my foolish was way more reckless than that, but foolish in terms of just like, he's seeing seem so little.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: Trust me.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: They really not the ramifications.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: The outliers that would come with that the consequence and the repercussion that I didn't think through.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, trust me.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: It was it was it was it was it was a rough ride.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: And and you know, pay attention though, people because,
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: I jokingly say to people I'm raising my dad now, like, like, I'm in their face of now, I'm having conversations with my dad that he, the nuggets he gave me as a kid in my teenage years.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: I now have in a remind him of some of those same lessons of patience.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: And because man, you know, with his issue, he got going on now.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: everything set him off immediately.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, hey, hey, hey, hey, relax.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine me telling somebody, relax, breathe.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: The other point down that big man.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, this is the first time that we're wherever in the John's family, we're a father has had his father and sons at the same time, man.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: So be able to see that and appreciate that I know you getting the lesson of at some point that made me me, although we don't think.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: The dead thing can turn on the dime.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's really quick.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's scary, man.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: Really quick.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like my paternal side, my dead and four of his siblings, I mean, cross the board.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's scary.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because that's.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, is it guaranteed?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's what's going on?
- 47:30[SPEAKER_00]: So now I'm in a little bit of life choices and how they're moving and it's just genetic.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's this sugar on the brain.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's this diet based.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's this the traditional habits and celebrations that we partake in as a family.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if that whole entire group, all are partaking in the same festivities,
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: You have to store a plug and then removing to see what's tied to what?
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they say.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: You're hearing the habits that form the disease, not necessarily the disease in all cases.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's man here.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Ram, don't enter the gym some five cases.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: Your life will be elevated.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: I learned something every episode here.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_00]: Man, better together.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: I learned something every single episode.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope the same is true for the audience.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_00]: What's got for the good people, me?
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: Man, sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to arrogance.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, my struggle is being too humble.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_01]: Or I don't know.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't even know how to say to you, I don't
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I had a gun thing, but it's not rooted in, but I don't even think you don't, I said that jokingly, I don't think that's, I'm not arrogant, I'm just a trans talker, that's what, yeah, so be missing phone in the bottom stuff, mm-hmm.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: No, we got enough time.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: I was sliding there against name.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: We got to do mine.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_00]: That was mine in there, he isn't there.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, so I'm gonna try to talk at heart, man.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: I, I, I, I, I, I, I like I know something.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: Just the Jewel gets up by the man.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: Come poke it a bit.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_00]: Let me get at him.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, it's, it's fun I know, but I, I, I, I, I, I, I, two, like, like, I'm critical.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like I watch and look.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_00]: And just to humble myself, man, I don't know my hair messing up, man, you know, I got a weak boss by coming in and I'm working on that, man.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I think I think I'll be that.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm a decade into that, except.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I get it, but that's that humbling, that's that humility.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, always be be mindful of at what cost you are pushing something so hard to be a certain way.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_00]: Life is about trade-offs.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, if I'm overly pushing here, what am I not doing over here?
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: So, it's all about at what cost.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_00]: There's some podcast, there's some show, there's some network, better together, to me in having a dope conversation.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, to dope me in having a conversation, to me in having, I just look at it, man, to me in having a conversation.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: To grow, man, having a conversation.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_00]: To grow, man, may see, to grow, man, having a conversation.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: Bless this conversation.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_00]: F-2-H-Q, F-2-H-Q orders, uh, Father figure a pair.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, man, listen to the options.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_00]: Options.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: Network.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_00]: appreciate all of the support.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: February 24, 2026, the live at hearsay, Arlington, Texas, we live live music, food, drinks, cigar, patio, available for you.

- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: Got anything else for the people?
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: Man, appreciate your support, peace.
