- 0:13Jay Fallon, thanks for listening to the slippery slope.
- 0:17So last year I got to do an interview with that cell Grover.
- 0:22Very interesting lady. She was the she started the the
- 0:27app specifically made for women. Are called Giggle.
- 0:31Giggle for women. I think it's called.
- 0:33Anyway, let's have a look at this story.
- 0:35The she's been fighting cells been fighting a a trans woman
- 0:42who has insisted on being a part of this app of the of the Giggle
- 0:50app. The the app for women.
- 0:53Because obviously trans women are women.
- 0:57Google. YouTube, don't don't kick me
- 1:02off. Don't put any more marks against
- 1:04my name. Trans women are women,
- 1:07apparently, and so she's still going through this court case.
- 1:12It's been a couple of years now. Anyway, he's the latest reports.
- 1:15Let's have a look at at what actually is going on.
- 1:24Just anyway, here headline Sex changeable Commission backs
- 1:28trans woman's case. There you go.
- 1:32There's the a trans woman suing after being blocked from a woman
- 1:38only women only social media platform has been backed by the
- 1:42Australian Human Rights Commission.
- 1:45In her case, Roxanne Tickle. Now obviously, when they say in
- 1:50her case, they're talking about the man.
- 1:53Who has transformed into a woman?
- 1:57So she's suing Giggle for girls in the federal court after
- 2:01having her access to the app revoked in September 2021.
- 2:05Maintaining her appearance as a woman since 2017, Miss Tickle
- 2:11underwent gender affirming surgery in 2019 October and was
- 2:15issued a birth certificate stating she was female the
- 2:19following year. That issued the birth
- 2:22certificate, even though obviously she is an adult when
- 2:26he she was an adult when undergoing the surgery issued
- 2:30the birth certificate. Giggle for Girls, which cites
- 2:32itself as made for women by women.
- 2:35Women blocked Miss Tickle in 2021 after considering her male.
- 2:42After the platform failed to get the lawsuit thrown out in June,
- 2:45the AHRC was called on as a friend of the court to make
- 2:50submissions on whether Miss Tickle's case was validly
- 2:54brought. I'm not sure if I can continue
- 2:56saying that name with a straight face.
- 2:58Miss Tickle Sex discriminate Discrimination Commissioner Anna
- 3:04Cody dismissed Giggle for Girls arguments that sex was a
- 3:08biological binary characteristic.
- 3:12Dismissed it. I mean, we all know that that
- 3:15sex is binary. It's it's a fact.
- 3:21But she's just dismissed it. Under which someone could simply
- 3:25be classified as either a man or a woman.
- 3:29This is the problem. It is a fact.
- 3:30But we're gonna just dismiss it. Sex.
- 3:35That's what she says. Sex can refer to a person being
- 3:37male, female or another non binary status.
- 3:42She wrote This is the problem we've come up with these this
- 3:47terminology that doesn't make sense to say that you are non
- 3:51binary, which it's it's just a made-up term because our gender
- 3:57as it it is binary there is only male, female.
- 4:02That's all there is anyway. It is also broad enough to
- 4:09encompass the idea that the idea.
- 4:12That a person's sex can be changed?
- 4:15Well, the outside can be changed.
- 4:17Your actual sex, you know your chromosomes can't be changed
- 4:20anyway. To determine whether your DNA
- 4:23you know you can't actually change it.
- 4:25To determine whether someone was female, a court merely needed to
- 4:29determine what their birth certificate stated.
- 4:33This is the whole problem. We have not held our politicians
- 4:39accountable over the years. They come in with these half
- 4:44baked, half baked laws. You know you can just change
- 4:48your birth certificate, which it doesn't really make sense
- 4:52because what you were born is what you were born.
- 4:55You've decided to change, have some operations and become some
- 5:00funky call Medina later on in life.
- 5:03It doesn't mean. It doesn't mean you actually
- 5:06have changed and you shouldn't be able to change your birth
- 5:09certificate. Anyway, so she needed to
- 5:12determine what had their birth certificate stated and if trans.
- 5:17They had undergone gender affirming surgery at least as
- 5:24early as the 1990s. It has been accepted that sex is
- 5:27changeable. No it's not and that the female
- 5:30sex includes a person who has undergone gender affirming
- 5:33surgery to affirm their status as female Mrs. Cody wrote Mrs.
- 5:39Cody. Rocky, she's a she's a I tell
- 5:43you what, sometimes it feels like women are the worst enemies
- 5:47of other women when you when you read a lot of these stories, you
- 5:50think Anyway, in making the submission she rejected.
- 5:54Giggle for Girls claims the lawsuit should have been filed
- 5:57as a sex discrimination case, saying the allegations were
- 6:01actually of gender identity discrimination.
- 6:04Trans Women woman may say that the that her gender identity is
- 6:09female, but the Sex Discrimination Act would still
- 6:12protect her from direct discrimination on the ground
- 6:16that she was identified by the discriminator as a trans woman
- 6:19and was treated less favorably favorably than a person with a
- 6:23different gender identity as a result, Giga for Girls claims
- 6:28you could dodge the lawsuit because it was a special
- 6:31measure. Put in place to help women avoid
- 6:34discrimination. We're also we're also rejected.
- 6:38It goes on a little bit more. Blah blah blah.
- 6:40Down here is where the problem lies.
- 6:44This is this tickle, Miss, Miss Tickle.
- 6:52Could you go around? I couldn't.
- 6:53I'm sorry if your last name is genuinely Tickle, but I couldn't
- 6:56go around calling myself introducing myself as Mr.
- 7:00Tickle. Isn't that?
- 7:01Wasn't that one of the The Funny Men Mr. Men series?
- 7:04Yeah, Tickle. Anyway, I believe this is tickle
- 7:08talking, Tickle talking. Hello Tickle talking, Tickle
- 7:12says. I believe that I am being
- 7:14discriminated against by being provided with extremely limited
- 7:17functionality of a smartphone app by the app provider compared
- 7:22to that of other users. Because I am a transgender
- 7:25woman, Ms. Tickle wrote. I am legally permitted to
- 7:29identify. As female and there lies the
- 7:35problem that that is the crux of the problem.
- 7:41She's legally he she whatever. Sorry YouTube not trying to
- 7:47discriminate. Tickle is is legally able to
- 7:53identify as a woman. So I I don't see any other way
- 7:58around it if you're. Like I've said many, many, many
- 8:03times, we don't hold their politicians accountable.
- 8:07They're our lawmakers. They come up with these
- 8:09ludicrous ideas. We don't hold them accountable.
- 8:12And a couple of years down the track we have these absolutely
- 8:16deplorable laws coming into coming into ACT where you can
- 8:19just decide and then you go and change it on your birth
- 8:23certificate and then everyone, everyone else is forced into
- 8:27submission. The the same thing with all
- 8:32these these abortion laws that have come in, these euthanasia
- 8:35laws that we brought in every state, they've all just, you
- 8:40can't say they'd be snuffed through.
- 8:42But we've allowed them to come in.
- 8:43We we're not holding these people, these politicians
- 8:46accountable, these elected officials accountable.
- 8:50And this is the kind of rubbish that we end up with where a man
- 8:55who's had surgery. Who's suffering from a a mental
- 9:00disorder? OK, and whatever.
- 9:04If you want, you want, you want to live your life.
- 9:06Go and live your life. But, but why do you have to go
- 9:10and jump on an app and pretend an app that's specifically built
- 9:14for other women and then pretend that you know what other women
- 9:19are feeling are the issues that are going on in other women's
- 9:22lives, you know? Crazy.
- 9:28Hey, check out the interview that I did do with Cell Grover.
- 9:31It was last year. I'll put a link up for it.
- 9:33Very interesting. Lady has done quite a bit and
- 9:38check it. What her interactional the
- 9:41experience that she had with them.
- 9:44I can see his face now. The, the.
- 9:47Hollywood. Director the guy that got sent
- 9:50into sent to to jail for for raping all those women.
- 9:55Weinstein, Harvey, Harvey Weinstein.
- 9:57Check out the part where she talks about a year about her
- 10:01interaction. All she one of her best friends
- 10:03I think was was actually a secretary.
- 10:07Interesting the comments the very interesting.
- 10:12Anyway, what she discusses about him, but check out what she says
- 10:15in the interview that I had with her last year.
- 10:18Let me know what you think. Do we bring this on ourselves?
- 10:21Because everyone's just, well, let's face it, we're all just
- 10:25too busy working, making money, doing our own thing.
- 10:28These bills get shoved through in parliament.
- 10:30No one really takes a lot of notice.
- 10:32We don't hold our our politicians accountable like we
- 10:36should. And then companies like Giggle
- 10:40for Girls end up paying the price because we all just.
- 10:46We're all just too blase about these things until they affect
- 10:49us. And so we have people running
- 10:52around saying I am a woman, you have to, you have to accept it.
- 10:56It's now my legal right and there's nothing we can do about
- 10:59it. It's ridiculous.
- 11:01That's my opinion. Let me know what you think.
- 11:03I'm going to. I'm going to discuss a few
- 11:05things in the in the next podcast, too.
- 11:08About Dan Andrews. About his resignation.
- 11:13Yeah. And some of the other.
- 11:16Not just Dan Andrews. Some of the other corruption
- 11:19issues that we've had getting around in Australian politics
- 11:22that's just coming to light this last week.
- 11:25Dan Andrews, Albanese Qantas. Oh mate.
- 11:32Australia. Home of the corrupt politician,
- 11:35I think. Let me know what you reckon.
- 11:38Thanks for listening to the slippery, slippery, slippery
- 11:41slope. You
