- 0:44Welcome back to be boundary Corner podcast.
- 0:49I'm Curtis Wilson. I'm Brian siglo Thursday night,
- 0:52buddy. How you doing?
- 0:53How you doing, buddy? I gotta sit down the glass.
- 0:58I've got eggnog. And I've got some Irish whiskey
- 1:00in that eggnog. Mwah.
- 1:02I can some football things are good.
- 1:04Aw, geez about his perfect of a December evening situation that
- 1:09I can imagine. So I'm right with you.
- 1:12I've got a little little Porter here, snowdrift vanilla porter.
- 1:18So that's a great winter beer, man.
- 1:22Yes sir. Great winter beard a have.
- 1:24There was that alarm kugel? Yep, ha ha only saw a portion of
- 1:30the bottle. Folks know your beer, 10/10 your
- 1:34Or beer, man. How's your week member, man?
- 1:38It's been one of those weird weeks where it's either really
- 1:42slow. And then, like for like three
- 1:45hours, I would get like, a lot of stuff that crosses my desk
- 1:48and have to, to bang some stuff out.
- 1:50So, been one of those. How about you, man, Pretty
- 1:54Petty, other than several technical issues at work, which
- 1:59this time of year is never any fun to be sitting there trying
- 2:02to make something process and It's like air and you're like
- 2:05here, God go through, do it. And then you having to tell
- 2:10someone yeah I told you. I've had this back by 11:00.
- 2:13Might be closer to 1200 there anything.
- 2:15Okay. Just won't pry.
- 2:18Sorry, I'm waiting. Nothing I'm doing, you know, and
- 2:25why we're going to have a beautiful mid-fall weekend in
- 2:30late in mid-December This weekend, like 65 degrees.
- 2:34So yeah, I'm like, I'm not sure if I'm ready for that again.
- 2:38Like, I'm one of those people that once I get in a certain
- 2:41mindset, I kind of like to plow ahead so these like fake fake
- 2:48Falls and then like in the spring, where you get like that,
- 2:52like late February, you get that one really warm day, right
- 2:55nowhere. But then it, you know, you two
- 2:57more weeks of 20 degrees like we do, I like that.
- 3:02Other stuff. Yeah, I don't really like I
- 3:06don't really like it but you know, it is what it is sinuses,
- 3:15which I hate and be. It's just like my body says,
- 3:20it's winter. Yeah, my body.
- 3:23It's winter. It needs to be winter.
- 3:25There needs to be, is no, it needs to be cold.
- 3:28It is, it's like you've thrown me a day in the 60s.
- 3:31I've already burned all my hoodie's, I can't go back.
- 3:36A burn, the hoodies. I put the shorts away.
- 3:40Which I have put the shorts. What?
- 3:41Except I found a pair of the other night in my bathroom
- 3:44underneath some things. So maybe, you know, Karma.
- 3:49It was being going to need this one.
- 3:52We're going to need, you know, on that weirder than still wear
- 3:54shorts, like all winter though. Although you did, I agree.
- 4:01But I mean, it gets to a point where I'm like, nah, I'm good.
- 4:05As long as I know. I'm not going to be out more
- 4:07than like five minutes. Like I'm just getting into my
- 4:11car driving around out of my car into a building.
- 4:13Like, you know, that's not cold enough for me to sacrifice
- 4:17comfort. Awesome.
- 4:21Well, folks, obviously it is hate.
- 4:24We here on the boundary Corner podcast, as the Hokies this week
- 4:30will be battling UVA for the don't know what is going to be
- 4:35the number. A big number for the
- 4:37Commonwealth cup. Yep.
- 4:39Trying to take it back after losing for the first time.
- 4:41Since 2003 eight-week part to head up, we had a teaser earlier
- 4:47and now we're, you know, that got that got pushed back.
- 4:50So, now we're officially in. Hey, tweek it is happening.
- 4:53Ladies and gentlemen, the game will be played the governor's
- 4:57announcement earlier, did not change that, despite some
- 5:00whisperings and dark corners of the interwebs.
- 5:04We are plowing ahead with this game.
- 5:09Yeah, so I mean that's where we're at in hate week, just to
- 5:13recap a little bit guys, we saw a big stinker from for Mike
- 5:19Young and the Gang against Penn State.
- 5:23That was brutal to a point. I was going to follow it on my
- 5:28phone. I kept the TV on the main cave
- 5:30to Peak in every few minutes as I was watching something with my
- 5:33wife, and we were doing something and I kind of lost
- 5:39track of the game, it started when one I looked down, it was
- 5:442:43 and it was just like, that's not good.
- 5:49That's not how you want to start it.
- 5:51Yeah, that it started bad. And then it just kept getting
- 5:53gradually worse and Penn State had one of those nights where
- 5:58like, the Hokies played a bad game.
- 5:59Don't get me wrong. Bad game.
- 6:01Had a bad shooting night. What wasn't very active on the
- 6:04defensive end? But Penn State had one of those
- 6:09magical shooting nights were like everything.
- 6:11They threw up, was falling. Yeah, everything they threw up
- 6:15was falling. I mean, they were legitimately
- 6:19be percent from the field. So, you know, just from the
- 6:23field like they couldn't miss. They went out a little bit
- 6:27further. Hey, man, I don't know if you
- 6:29saw this, but from three-point range, they were 52 percent.
- 6:36Yep. So it was one of those nights I
- 6:39can't win. They have a bad possession and
- 6:42then get bailed out. Like, you know, then with the
- 6:46Hokies were doing the right thing, they were still getting
- 6:49burned. So yeah.
- 6:51Back to the drawing board to sort of figure it out because
- 6:54again, you can't can't score 55 points and expect to win many
- 7:00games. You can't shoot under 40 under
- 7:0330 from three and fifty percent from the free-throw.
- 7:07Line. I mean, just awful awful.
- 7:11But I think you know, after two stinkers like that, you know,
- 7:16have faith, you know, in mi kyung that he can pull it
- 7:19together. No law of averages, says the
- 7:21shooting percentage is going to go up a little bit so it's true
- 7:25and we'll find out a lot Tuesday night.
- 7:29Yeah I agree we'll find out a lot to do not against Clemson.
- 7:33I mean Clemson's for know, they beat Maryland.
- 7:37They beat Purdue, they beat Mississippi State.
- 7:39Obviously Purdue in Maryland, being usually two of your top,
- 7:4225 teams out of the Big Ten so we'll find out more.
- 7:48Do they bounce back or they kind of keep this skit going because
- 7:52it's almost last year, it was the loss to Michigan State.
- 7:57Then they lost the next few games to Dayton and BYU who were
- 8:00going to be tournament teams. But it continue the downward
- 8:04spiral this year, the big win happens.
- 8:06The Solid second one, the solid went after happens, then they
- 8:10start hitting the skids a little bit.
- 8:13So yeah. And like I said, I think I'll be
- 8:15encouraging is that at least against VMI, it was just
- 8:19shooting and against Penn State, regardless of how they shot,
- 8:22they were probably losing that game.
- 8:24But based on how Penn State was playing.
- 8:26So, I mean, there's a, there's probably only one or two teams
- 8:29in the country that would have beat Penn State when they were
- 8:31shooting like that. So at that point, you know, it's
- 8:36still early. Early.
- 8:37Let's not get discouraged by the laws, especially after how you
- 8:40started. Yep.
- 8:41Keep plugging ahead try to fix. What's what's a little sketchy?
- 8:45They like I said, as I care more about the stuff I saw on the
- 8:49defensive end and the the rotations than I do about
- 8:52anything that happened on the offensive end, they did pretty
- 8:55well on the boards All Things Considered.
- 8:57So yeah if they can just hit some shots which I think will
- 9:01eventually come, they'll be fine on the offensive end.
- 9:03I'd like to see them clean up some of the defensive stuff
- 9:05though. Absolutely.
- 9:08All right, before we get deep into sort of breaking down UVA
- 9:13and we're not going to be, you know, the enemy and break it
- 9:15down because it again similar to lab.
- 9:17This is our most hated rival, probably the team we see the
- 9:20second most of living here in the Commonwealth, we're going to
- 9:22do strengths and weaknesses of both sides of their ball with
- 9:26data and some tape right now. But Brian, I'm gonna ask you a
- 9:29question. Give me your honest opinion.
- 9:33If Justin Fuente brings back, the Commonwealth cup, what makes
- 9:37the Commonwealth cup stay in Blacksburg?
- 9:39Does he save his job? Absolutely not.
- 9:44That's a firm. No.
- 9:46Okay, and I say from this perspective we've gotten to a
- 9:51point now where you know there was excuses and there was reason
- 9:58to potentially say this might get better with more time.
- 10:02But I think we're past the point where regardless of what a
- 10:07win-loss record looks like in a given year.
- 10:10Justin Fuente is not going to be the coach that gets us.
- 10:13Lead to the ACC Championship game, gets us over the hump
- 10:17against Clemson, potentially gets us a future shot in at the
- 10:21college football playoff. He's not that guy and if we know
- 10:24that and we know that we're going to have these weird
- 10:28Seasons where we win five or six games and then we're going to
- 10:30have a couple Seasons where you might win, eight or nine, I
- 10:34don't think that's good enough and that, that doesn't stand up
- 10:37to the expectations. We had for him as a coach and I
- 10:40think that now we know that we need to move on.
- 10:44Yep, this isn't a situation. Someone mean, you chatted with
- 10:48this week, I can't remember who it was, was trying to compare
- 10:51this to the Harbaugh situation and I sat here and when that
- 10:57conversation I said if Justin Fuente was 21 and 11 over his
- 11:04last 23 Seasons, hell no, we wouldn't be fired him because he
- 11:09would have been waiting somewhere between nine and ten
- 11:11Gaming's before this season started.
- 11:14It would be a completely different story.
- 11:16You can't put that in with her ball because Harbaugh had one
- 11:19ten and nine games. Harbaugh's problem is that he's
- 11:22losing the Ohio state every year.
- 11:23That pretty much never gives him a chance to play for the Big Ten
- 11:27Championship true. Now, the other piece is this the
- 11:32end? I've got to record right here.
- 11:35Justin Fuente started the 10-year out 19 and eight I think
- 11:39after 2017. I think being you felt good
- 11:45after 18, it was skepticism after Duke skepticism but you
- 11:49saw the rebound more fact. But then seeing it reasonable,
- 11:53it's almost like the snowball that went into a good Avalanche.
- 11:58Got somewhere where it's stopped.
- 12:02But then something happened behind it, and shook it loose
- 12:04and it started rolling, he's 18 and 18.
- 12:07It is like true citizens. He's 500.
- 12:10Yeah, that's not good. That and that's not what we
- 12:13signed up for. That's not what we signed up for
- 12:16it all again. I think our expectations were
- 12:20somewhere between 8:00 and 11:00 every year and we got that three
- 12:24seasons. But what happened is as we've
- 12:29mentioned numerous times, it's where the losses come to who the
- 12:32laws has come to its games where you're looking like, you're not
- 12:35even putting up a fight, it's games where you looking like,
- 12:38you have no answers. And when that's happening too
- 12:42many times, the no answer games, not so much.
- 12:45You know, somebody pulls an upset to my pulls.
- 12:46I'm upset tip your hat to them. It's the games, when there
- 12:49aren't answers where it's like, okay, do something different.
- 12:53We keep doing the same. Why are we doing the same thing?
- 12:56It's Working and I think that's where we're at again.
- 13:03I've said it before and I'll stick to this, if not for him, a
- 13:07lot of things that are, that were not good with in the
- 13:09program, don't get reflected. Thank you for that and hopefully
- 13:15him doing that. You're able to wit in the
- 13:19athletic department, as they start, looking through the next
- 13:22head coach will be in saying, we know these are out of fish.
- 13:26Entities. Here's how we're going to fix
- 13:28them for you. Yeah.
- 13:29And what do you want to do to put your stamp on this?
- 13:33Yeah but I think on the whole he's ultimately leaving the
- 13:36program about at the same level that he found it.
- 13:41I think from a brand perspective, our brand isn't
- 13:44quite as good as it was when he took over.
- 13:49But I think because of Shining Light on some of the things we
- 13:52need to improve, I think we're taking some steps where we need
- 13:55to Ratchet it up. And I think that ultimately, you
- 13:59know, cancels out some of the brand losses there.
- 14:03So you know, well, I think I've got zero so you know, he didn't
- 14:08completely run the program into the ground.
- 14:11I mean the big problem right now is because of everything else
- 14:13happening is that Donors are getting antsy and donors want
- 14:18answers and I think donors are getting what they want.
- 14:20So exactly the other pieces You talk about where we were you
- 14:29know Public Image level perception level yeah is
- 14:32slightly down but right I went to a slightly down View and
- 14:40perception knowing that you're going to get what you need
- 14:45operationally. It's not sexy, it's not saying
- 14:50oh we're you know, we're winning 10 letting games a year.
- 14:54It's not safe. Sexy and it doesn't all happen
- 14:56overnight either. So it's a, it's a slow, build up
- 14:59more on, but the whole piece is you get that in place.
- 15:01You get back to where you were, you get back to competing for
- 15:06the ACC. You get back to weighing 10, 11
- 15:08games every year and as nice as the brand is, I think the new
- 15:13coach would appreciate the other stuff more than the brand.
- 15:16Damn, right. All right, well, let's jump to
- 15:19it folks. Time for a little break down
- 15:21here of the UV 18. Let's start with their defense
- 15:27when I was just doing the data dump, as I always like to do.
- 15:33I look first at their strengths and I'm gonna run off three to
- 15:36you here. And you tell me if this is
- 15:38correlating, what you're seeing on tape.
- 15:40First of all, they are basically top corner of the country
- 15:47rushing defense. Why they're only giving up a
- 15:48hundred twenty, five point nine yards, a game 3.49 a carry right
- 15:53against one of our biggest. strengths they're up there and
- 15:57sax number nine in the country 33 total sacks for the year and
- 16:03also the are forcing a ton of turnovers 17 total Six fumbles,
- 16:1211 picks top 15 and that. So kind of seems like they're
- 16:17doing some very good things on defense.
- 16:19So what are you? It does the tape show this or is
- 16:24the tape a little more. You know, the tape definitely
- 16:29Bears out exactly what those stats are showing and I'm going
- 16:33to I'm going to name three names and one of them we do not have
- 16:36to deal with. So I'll start with the one we do
- 16:39have to deal with Charles Snowden.
- 16:41Yes. For most of the Season, Charles
- 16:46Snowden was giving offenses, fits.
- 16:50Yep. Yeah, six foot, seven Edge
- 16:53rusher. Great speed.
- 16:56Great athleticism hits you with a low to so not having to deal
- 17:02with that coming off the edge. The problem with that is that we
- 17:05do have to deal with Noah Taylor.
- 17:08He was lining up opposite of Snowden.
- 17:10He's now their primary Edge rusher, Snowden was deaf Only
- 17:15the dude, but Noah Taylor is no slouch as well.
- 17:17And still gonna have to stop him from getting to the quarterback.
- 17:21Is he's going to come hard and Zane's endear is the inside.
- 17:26Linebacker for them big player in the middle of that defense.
- 17:30Kind of an enforcer in the middle.
- 17:33Really good run Stoppers. He's the guy that's getting
- 17:35tackles for laws. He's kind of packing the stat
- 17:37sheet in the tackle column as well.
- 17:39So you know they're going to do a lot of things to kind of slow
- 17:43down our Length, which is our running game, whether it's
- 17:46painting the ball to Khalil Herbert or running one of our
- 17:49quarterbacks up the middle, or on the outside.
- 17:53All right. So we talked about that, we
- 17:56talked about they forced turnovers but they have
- 17:59weaknesses hum as good as they are at sacking the quarterback.
- 18:04I was shocked by this number, they are absolutely Dreadful
- 18:08against passing. I'm talking quarterback passing
- 18:12efficiency there, 153 out of 165.
- 18:17They almost average 15 yards per completion.
- 18:21They are the most passing yards allowed in the country.
- 18:24Now I know they play nine games and there are some other teams
- 18:27that haven't played as many, but there's enough teams.
- 18:31There's enough teams out there that have played more than eight
- 18:35games. It just shows something.
- 18:37They're also 62 percent completion so you know That's a
- 18:44that's not a good number. Your, you want to be
- 18:46substituting as a defense also. Really big and allowing first
- 18:52downs. You know, they are averaged
- 18:55nearly giving up twenty first downs, a game, you know, 86 in
- 19:00the country. So on the bottom, half of that,
- 19:02the Brian a couple of the things that they aren't Really.
- 19:06But our weaknesses, but they aren't really great at, you
- 19:10know, third down, conversions, 39.8, that's a big Bugaboo of
- 19:15the Hokie, so right under 40% and then the other is they're
- 19:20giving up 30 points a game, okay?
- 19:23So, you know, paired the Hokies defense, we're giving up like
- 19:2830, I think 32.1. And obviously I think I think we
- 19:35feel like we've had more issues than they have.
- 19:37So it ain't all sunshine and Roses on their defaults.
- 19:42No, and I mean the big thing is how we feel.
- 19:44We are in the back end, man. They don't tackle great on the
- 19:49back end in the passing game. They actually do pretty good job
- 19:53from the safety position, filling up in the run, but they
- 19:57end up missing a lot of tackles with with guys that are elusive
- 20:00in space. UNC game.
- 20:03I mean UNC just ran out of time. What if they had?
- 20:09You know, one more stop. They were going to win that
- 20:11game. I mean, they stopped the fake
- 20:14punt. Yeah.
- 20:16They when they game and Thompson, did it just a great
- 20:20individual effort on that? You know, you're getting off
- 20:22topic here? A little bit.
- 20:23Just that was designed to go, right?
- 20:25And he went left, cutting it back and got there.
- 20:28So but the yeah, they're weak on the back end.
- 20:32Like I said, struggles, with tackles bunch of Chunk plays
- 20:36crossers, seems Deep shots on the edge.
- 20:40I mean there It shouldn't be a route in our repertoire that we
- 20:45shouldn't be able to exploit them with in some way.
- 20:48The question is, do we take advantage of that?
- 20:52If we can stop? The big thing is we can stop
- 20:55them getting to our quarterback or making our quarterback have
- 20:58to throw before. He's ready.
- 21:00That's where that secondary gets good because they are
- 21:02opportunistic. So that they're out, they're
- 21:05opportunistic, but they are very suspect that as long as long as
- 21:10we can make good decisions, With the ball in the passing game.
- 21:13We should be fine. That's what I was going to kind
- 21:16of ask is how can you have that many interceptions?
- 21:18That many sacks would be that pad in the passing game and it
- 21:21sounds like what it is is when they force essentially the throw
- 21:25to go early or forced to throw to the wrong spot or rush to
- 21:29throw that's when they're getting their picks.
- 21:31When the pocket stays clean, people are just carving them
- 21:34including be seized back up. It went.
- 21:36What 502 last week, yes. You know, we can put up 300
- 21:44plus, you know, one of those things, I feel like if we don't
- 21:48put up over 270 but we shall move on anything else on the
- 21:54defensive side, you want to hit Brian before we jump over to the
- 21:56offensive side of the ball. Yeah, I mean, I think, in terms
- 21:59of like how we would attack it, I mean, from a passing game
- 22:03perspective, I think we should kind of pass the set up the run.
- 22:07I think we need to not just work in the short, intermediate stuff
- 22:10that I've been pounding on a lot.
- 22:12A lie but also we need to take some shots.
- 22:14Stretch them, we need to make them work for it but we need to
- 22:17be strategic with our shots. We don't want to put the
- 22:20quarterback back there for you know, 45 seconds.
- 22:24Waiting for routes to develop before you can get rid of it
- 22:27with, you know, Noah Taylor and zhen zhen zhen, dear bearing
- 22:30down on them. So that's what I would.
- 22:33I would do to kind of start things up, and then once they
- 22:36loosen up a little bit and have to start pulling some of those,
- 22:40those safeties out of the box, And that's when we can start
- 22:44with the running game and pounding them a little bit and
- 22:46kind of eating them up between the tackles.
- 22:48Now, when you talk about Not Giving 45 seconds, is this
- 22:52something where you're thinking about the alignments, where, you
- 22:55know the gold is going to be filled side.
- 22:58We're going to put three guys, and we're going to be one guy
- 23:01down here, your high safety. Has to make a decision because
- 23:05if he chooses to come over here and going to help.
- 23:09You're allowing three routes to develop on this side where most
- 23:12of the time in those cases, you tell me if I'm right or wrong,
- 23:16we're going to put our best corner on this side, free
- 23:18safety. You're going to go to the other
- 23:20hash don't worry about that side.
- 23:22He's got the out of bounds as down.
- 23:23Is his extra Defender I think you want to try to isolate you
- 23:28know if you got man coverage you read man coverage kind of
- 23:30isolate where that Where that safety is going to be shading to
- 23:35and kind of attack opposite that.
- 23:38That way you can throw the ball earlier in the route and just
- 23:42thinking it could be a 50/50 type situation versus having to
- 23:45wait for a guy to come. Open on top of that.
- 23:49I'd like to see some of the RPO stuff just because that's going
- 23:54to slow down that pass rush a little bit.
- 23:56If you can work some of those in there, should be able to take
- 23:59some shots up the scenes, maybe throw a fade out of that.
- 24:03All right. Well let's hope so my burn the
- 24:06Excel spreadsheet. Then this week.
- 24:13Did you burn the Excel? Spreadsheets at the end of the
- 24:17week. Anyway, looking for items items.
- 24:30A weakness, believe it or not. Kind of shocked me they're
- 24:34passing offense is actually really a strength of there's you
- 24:38know averaging 260 a game about 12 yards per completions that's
- 24:43kind of impressive, losing Armstrong for the games that
- 24:45they did. You know, the only slight hiccup
- 24:49is they are only averaging about 58 percent completion.
- 24:55I'm have a feeling. You might be able to tell me why
- 24:58on that in a few minutes here. The one thing that shocked me
- 25:01even more Is protecting the quarterback, they're giving up
- 25:06less than two sacks of games, and only about four tackles for
- 25:09loss. So again, I'm still trying to
- 25:12figure out how with that Mash unit that they're doing it.
- 25:15I hope you can shed some light on that, they consistently win
- 25:18time of possession all year. Usually averaging about 31
- 25:22minutes of game and running the ball, I consider more average
- 25:28only about 174 yards. So not, you know, not terrible,
- 25:34but not dominating their very much below the pack.
- 25:38Yeah, pretty much. I mean, that kind of checks out
- 25:42as well with what I'm seeing. I mean, you know, we talked
- 25:46about the couple games Armstrong Miss, but when he's been in
- 25:48there he's really he's paid that offense more consistent.
- 25:53So whereas, you know, last year with Perkins, they could just
- 25:57kill you at any given moment. Yeah, the ability to either
- 26:01throw it deep or Perkins to beat you with his legs.
- 26:06This is really more of a kind of a balanced approach with with
- 26:10Strong having a lot more, poison the pocket, and a lot more
- 26:14poised behind the line of scrimmage and making good
- 26:17choices there than I really thought I would see.
- 26:21He had some early problems in the season with some
- 26:24interceptions, but he's really clean that up and, you know,
- 26:30he's really good at feeling when to step up in the pocket, when
- 26:33to break the pocket window, look down the field to make the play.
- 26:37Once he's broken the pocket and went to just take off and And
- 26:40try to get a first down and you know I'll say this you know he's
- 26:44not Elite like Perkins in terms of athleticism he's probably
- 26:49more similar to a Sam Howell in terms of his athleticism but
- 26:55he's definitely more run first than Sam how he's a guy that's
- 26:58going to if he sees it there he's going to take it and he's
- 27:02going to run so we got to watch him in both elements there.
- 27:05A true dual threat at the quarterback position.
- 27:08So that's where their offense runs through.
- 27:12They've got a good kind of collection of running backs as
- 27:17well. The main one is tala pop up.
- 27:21He doesn't jump off the tape when you see him, there's
- 27:24nothing Elite about him but he's a solid one, a guy for them.
- 27:28He kind of does a little bit of everything.
- 27:30He's a good blocker. He kind of works through the
- 27:35garbage a lot between the tackles even though he's a
- 27:38little undersized and then they got Simpson, who does a really
- 27:41good job of catching balls out of the backfield.
- 27:44I saw him take one against against UNC, he broke a really
- 27:49big on things, like a 70 or 80 yard touchdown.
- 27:51Down off just like a quick swing pass out of the backfield so he
- 27:57can hurt you in the receiving game, they throw a lot of
- 27:59screens to him stuff out, you know, check downs and things
- 28:02like that. So he's got to watch in that
- 28:04type of thing. And he'll also carry the balls.
- 28:07Some, he actually likes to Thump A little bit more than table.
- 28:10Papa. So kind of athletic guy that'll
- 28:14bring a little bit of lumber at the end of a run.
- 28:16Very nice Brian. What about their offensive line?
- 28:21Again, I look at the fact numbers.
- 28:22I don't see a lot about that, you know, is it is it, you
- 28:28mentioned, you know, the Dual threat capabilities of Armstrong
- 28:33but to still have that low number.
- 28:37I mean, are they is it just a perfect combination and what
- 28:41they're doing or is it, are they borderline?
- 28:44You know, a really really good offensive line.
- 28:48I'd say they're above average offensive line, they're not a
- 28:50really good offensive line but they are they are a good
- 28:53offensive line. They're probably, I don't know,
- 28:55maybe three or four in terms of the best lines you've seen this
- 28:59year so they're not like, Clemson.
- 29:02They're not, you know, they're not Elite level but they get the
- 29:05job done. But pairing it, what they do
- 29:08with what Armstrong's capabilities are they look a
- 29:11little bit better than they are. And, you know, they got lucky a
- 29:14little bit. Armstrong is done a good job of
- 29:18oftentimes getting rid of the football when he needs to.
- 29:22He has kind of that little bit of Russell Wilson type thing
- 29:27where he can get in trouble and then get himself out of trouble
- 29:30and then get rid of the ball. Okay, it's in.
- 29:33Sometimes that goes for completion and sometimes it just
- 29:36goes for you know getting thrown out of bounds and moving on to
- 29:39the next place. So he's definitely helped him in
- 29:42that regard. Where is kind of Perkins.
- 29:45Once you were there, he was going down.
- 29:48He has a little bit more of ability to break, tackles in the
- 29:54backfield and still be able to get rid of the ball to save a
- 29:57sec. What we're going after Franco.
- 30:00I know you're going to have ways to attack this D for this
- 30:03offense, excuse me and kind of second here, but Many mentioned
- 30:09aren't many talked earlier this week and you just kind of been
- 30:12and we kind of talked about it. There's been one good running
- 30:17quarterback that really burned us this year.
- 30:19I was Malik Willis at Liberty. Yep.
- 30:21Are there guys have got some yards but not absolutely kill
- 30:26this. I know.
- 30:26Trevor Lawrence broke 217 yards for the touchdown last week and
- 30:30he had a couple other good runs. We held the Eric King Sam.
- 30:34Halden have much going on his day.
- 30:37We played enough to where it's like, if anything comes out of
- 30:41this year, good, the fundamental change out front.
- 30:45We're running right. Quarterbacks not necessarily
- 30:48dual threat, but guys who have a little wiggle aren't killing us?
- 30:52And I always go back. Remember that night day, we went
- 30:54to Big Al's against Maryland. Yep.
- 30:56In this son of the that kid could not have been faster than
- 31:00me but he kept In the pocket, getting like 12 to 15 yard games
- 31:04on the left side and me and you were just sitting there Furious
- 31:08like him. What are you doing?
- 31:12What are you doing? Yeah.
- 31:13Well Brian. What are how can we attack this
- 31:16offense? And really you know exploit the
- 31:20weaknesses. I'm going to mention in a second
- 31:22here. Yeah so the big thing is getting
- 31:25them off. The field on third down.
- 31:29You know, they've got a couple guys that are really good at
- 31:32kind of moving the sticks when they get in like a second and
- 31:34long third and long situation Jana being the probably the
- 31:40biggest returning, receiver from that we talked about from last
- 31:43year. He's a stick mover, but he also
- 31:46has the ability to stretch the field vertically.
- 31:49Then they've got Kemp, he's more of that slot receiver underneath
- 31:53the coverage threat, you know, working some quick outs.
- 31:58Somebody, you know, drag some shallow crossers, things like
- 32:02that. They just kind of through the
- 32:04thorn in your side, I'll game the newcomer Lavell Davis jr.
- 32:11He tall well mr. 67 right. He tall.
- 32:17Yeah. So obvious Red Zone, threat
- 32:19here. Obviously a guy that could pick
- 32:21on smaller Corners if we don't give them some help.
- 32:28And then you've got a guy like Paul Jay in that really big red
- 32:32zone threat for them at tight end.
- 32:33So they've got a Quadra of weapons there that they can take
- 32:37advantage of in those third-down situations in those Red Zone
- 32:41situation. So the key is to get off the
- 32:43field and those situation and don't let them keep the ball in
- 32:47the field. Like you said, time of
- 32:48possession is good for them. It's because they're able to get
- 32:52some of those stick, movers in the passing game.
- 32:56And when things break down, Armstrong can take off and still
- 32:59get it with his legs too, so we can be good on third down on
- 33:03defense. I think.
- 33:04We like, are we like our chances here?
- 33:06All right. Well Brian, I'm going to just go
- 33:09right into it. You talk about the third down,
- 33:11it is one of their biggest weaknesses.
- 33:13They are 96 in the country at converting third Downs at 36.4.
- 33:20So clearly probably the games they've won they've probably
- 33:23been really good at it. The games they've lost they
- 33:26probably been really bad at it in probably what you've been
- 33:30looking at. More recently is probably the
- 33:32last four games where they won. Yeah.
- 33:35Obviously if they're converting them it kind of says something
- 33:39that they're doing it better but overall they're not doing it.
- 33:41Great. Now I'll say this and you
- 33:43mentioned it with Armstrong. You talked about his
- 33:45interceptions earlier in the year but they're still turning
- 33:50the ball over at a pace of sitting them at 115.
- 33:53The country 17 total turnovers 12 picks five fumbles.
- 33:59So although you've talked about him cleaning it up lately It
- 34:04still has that possibility there that.
- 34:07Absolutely absolutely. I'll get now the other one and I
- 34:11think this is going to be the key to winning Saturday night.
- 34:15They're not great at converting, their Red Zone in two
- 34:18touchdowns. 39 attempts, only 24 touchdowns We must been not
- 34:24break their just similar to the Clemson game is gonna sound
- 34:29really weird. But first drive we held them to
- 34:32a field goal right later on, they get deep, we force a
- 34:36turnover know, we give it right back but that's essentially
- 34:40saying right there. Well that's 11 points if you
- 34:43tell me that we do that and we hold them down 11 points.
- 34:49I think we win this game by a couple of stores.
- 34:53Yeah, we see I'll be the key is going to be how well we do on
- 34:57third down and how well we do in the Red Zone.
- 35:00They've shown a propensity to be bad in some of those situations
- 35:06lately. They looked a lot better lately.
- 35:08They look more like a team that converts on those and I mean
- 35:14we've seen it of the last this little run they've been on.
- 35:19Yeah, they've been winning more than they've been losing and
- 35:23Some of that goes back to them. I'm just cleaning up some of
- 35:26those things that were really bad for them at the start of the
- 35:29season and and you know it's really we're kind of at a mirror
- 35:34image right now like this UVA team is probably playing the
- 35:38best football. They play all season coming into
- 35:40this game and we're probably playing some of the worst
- 35:43football. We played all season coming into
- 35:46this game so something's got to give I think from a talent
- 35:49perspective we probably have the more talented team but That
- 35:53doesn't, you know, paper doesn't win the game, my brother didn't.
- 35:57Let me ask this to, and in this is where does this sounds?
- 36:02But do you think that when because of the NC State game
- 36:07when Armstrong got hurt and he was out the next to?
- 36:10Yep. Or he was out the Wake Forest
- 36:12game at least and then he was sort of limited with Miami.
- 36:15Do you think that helped them more than hurt them where we
- 36:19essentially, he got hurt they were able to take him out, do
- 36:23something. Things different, instead of
- 36:26having games where he was in there.
- 36:27Let's say he, let's say you didn't get hurt.
- 36:29They play Wake, they lose to wait with him where the failures
- 36:32just keep piling on top of each other over and over where the
- 36:36coaching staff can say Hey listen you're healthy now.
- 36:40Clean slate. We're going to do some different
- 36:42things while you are out we found some niches for Kiante
- 36:45Thompson. So you know, Do you think that's
- 36:50helped them more than hurt them? I think so, I think it provided
- 36:54them, the ability to give defensive fronts different looks
- 36:58with their offense and especially working in Thompson a
- 37:01lot as kind of like a wing extra quarterback.
- 37:06Like he kind of does a little bit of everything in there.
- 37:08They use them like primarily from the wing.
- 37:13Sending him in motion on like jet sweeps, doing some counters
- 37:17with him, like there's a lot that they do with him in the
- 37:19running game, that gives them use defenses.
- 37:22Different looks than they would get from a typical offense that
- 37:27typical team that runs the the type of offense that Eva runs so
- 37:32yeah. I think those extra wrinkles
- 37:33have given Armstrong a little more flexibility in how he plays
- 37:37the game and that offense is a hole, a little bit more room to
- 37:41work because there's an extra thread out.
- 37:43They're Well, normally we do pivotal players folks, but we're
- 37:48not going to do tonight. You've seen our team, you know
- 37:52who needs to play. Well, you know what needs to
- 37:54happen. And if you haven't Go back and
- 37:58look at all the games over the next 48 hours.
- 38:02You'll figure it out pretty quick, condensed tapes out
- 38:05there, guys, just take a look at it.
- 38:07See what you can find pull some of the good stuff out there but,
- 38:11you know, we know who needs to play.
- 38:12Well, we know at this point that, you know, if we're not
- 38:17getting off the field, third down on defense, or if we're not
- 38:19converting, third Downs on offense.
- 38:22Those those are the two big things that have really
- 38:24determine how good or bad this team has been this year and if
- 38:28we're not doing those things, well then we're probably not
- 38:32going to win this game if we can do them.
- 38:36You know somewhat proficiently. We we should be able to make
- 38:40this happen. So we'll see how it goes but how
- 38:43you feeling heading into this will man?
- 38:46I really I'm at a point where I don't really, I don't know, know
- 38:50what to throw out there for this one.
- 38:52I don't know, I don't know what to throw out there.
- 38:54For this one. I mean, I'm going to make a
- 38:56prediction here in a couple minutes because what I've seen
- 39:00from this team it's the inconsistencies we have not put
- 39:03for good quarters together since NC State back in September.
- 39:08Yep. There's been at times second.
- 39:11Half of Boston College. If that team on both sides of
- 39:15the ball shows up every week since then, the only game we
- 39:19would have lost, would have been Clemson.
- 39:22Hindsight, hindsight, some of the corners.
- 39:27Again, spit if that team had showed up every game since
- 39:30Boston College, we wouldn't have want any games.
- 39:33We won't be going to the game before that.
- 39:36So we are a jekyll-and-hyde team and that's what's scary.
- 39:42The upside is there a Jekyll and Hyde team and their good side
- 39:49has been showing out the last four weeks where There are worse
- 39:51off, has been showing out for weeks.
- 39:55You've hope that what we are opinion is we got a lame-duck
- 40:00coach, you hope that he wants to go out in a blaze of glory and
- 40:05do things different query, risks in an attempt to win the game
- 40:11and, you know, I'm working. We said have significantly more
- 40:18Talent than them. I mean it probably at every
- 40:22single position where more talented than them A linebacker
- 40:28is the only position that I'd say they might have is beat him,
- 40:31but without Snowden, it's probably closer to even than it
- 40:34would be normally. And there are the three four, so
- 40:36you're putting their outside linebackers in with their
- 40:40backers. So, it's a little to me, it's a
- 40:43little different. So let's just get to it.
- 40:49What's your prediction for Saturday night?
- 40:51Oh man. It is at night, you know, when
- 40:55nothing matters with it, it's a night.
- 41:00Yeah, it's kind of weird that we've been getting this.
- 41:02This like Prime spot, as we're playing the worst football,
- 41:06we've seen all year. That's been a little frustrating
- 41:10because we have to keep watching it over and over and over again
- 41:14happen and as does everybody else.
- 41:16So that means we get to hear about it a lot too.
- 41:18To get a Primetime slot, you hear about how you did a whole
- 41:24lot more. So, Here we are.
- 41:29Give me 31. 27, Virginia Tech 3127 Virginia Tech.
- 41:47Alright, I am I'm with you after a few weeks of picking against
- 41:53us. There's just a part of me that
- 41:57couldn't in this case, I think we come out.
- 42:00I think we come out fired up. I think we come out and run some
- 42:04trick plays. I think in the end.
- 42:10They're going to revert back to some of their highlighted
- 42:12portions of this game. Okay I think they're going to
- 42:16revert back to their height. A few portions this game which
- 42:19Tony wrong. Our hands are going to show too
- 42:23but I think for them since it hasn't really shown and close to
- 42:27five weeks, I think that's what's going to be the toughest
- 42:31thing to overcome for them. Give me 3831, Virginia Tech the
- 42:36cup stays in Blacksburg. And I think I think our guys are
- 42:42playing for something I mean whether it's for for Coach
- 42:44Fuente or for Pride or just to get the damn cup back.
- 42:48You know, I think I think our guys are going to show up and be
- 42:52as focused as they've been on any game probably since Game one
- 42:58against NC State or less. What they?
- 43:01They were focused last week. I least for a half or two and a
- 43:04half. I mean, to me, that was two and
- 43:08a half of the better quarters of football.
- 43:09We play on both sides of the ball.
- 43:11It's true man. We can put if we could put
- 43:14another quarter together with that, you know if we're all if
- 43:18we're only having half a quarter where we're playing, like we
- 43:21don't know what we're doing. We probably win this football
- 43:23game. If we have a half a quarter
- 43:26where we don't know what we're doing, Doing by more than seven
- 43:29and four points? I think we would probably say
- 43:3310:50, maybe two touchdowns but we have to say there's going to
- 43:38be some really bad quarters. All right.
- 43:42Well, let's roll on Brian to our picks for the week.
- 43:45Folks, going to pick some ACC games, a couple out of
- 43:48conference games as well. First one Brian since you let
- 43:53off with the Commonwealth Cup game lead.
- 43:57All of this one Wake Forest. Louisville Louisville is laying
- 44:01one and a half points. I am trying to figure this one
- 44:04out. I'm trying to figure out if
- 44:05there's players heard on Wake clearly.
- 44:08Right. Well without je viens out, if
- 44:12someone can explain to me. Why Louisville is laying points
- 44:16because I think wait for us when just came out, right?
- 44:21Yeah, give you wake for his legal limit.
- 44:23Legal, you see, like, Wake Forest has like essentially
- 44:31quite a bit to play for if you think about it.
- 44:34I mean, I mean they've had one of their better Seasons, you
- 44:38know, beat some good teams so out of their starting to stack
- 44:43some decent Seasons together under clause in there man.
- 44:46So yeah, yeah. And they're going to be happy
- 44:50with who they are and I think Klaus will be there for another
- 44:54five years if they keep at this pace.
- 44:57All right, Brian. This is kind of the toilet bowl
- 45:01of the ACC. Duke and Florida State, Florida
- 45:05State Lane, four and a half. Oh man.
- 45:15Toilet bowl. Welcome to the toilet.
- 45:20I'll take. All right, you're going to late
- 45:24points. With the team that basically
- 45:29hasn't been playing for the last month because of covid.
- 45:33Exactly that. That's that's how bad the
- 45:36situation is. At this point man.
- 45:38I just you know I feel like Duke is really been rudderless Wait,
- 45:47wait. So I think FSU after kind of
- 45:51having their wad built up for the last several weeks.
- 45:57They finally get to hit somebody again.
- 45:59So I think we'll see some action there.
- 46:02Well true. But to me, it feels like they
- 46:04laid down and the last three games they play they lost by 32
- 46:1024 and 16 not exactly a ringing. Endorsement, the biggest loss
- 46:16was to Louisville who's 3 and 7. So I'm going to flip and say,
- 46:20take Duke after getting waxed by.
- 46:23Miami last week. I think they show some pride.
- 46:26Come out. I don't know if they win the
- 46:28game but as bad as both of these teams are, I'll take the dog.
- 46:33I'll take points, okay? I'm good with that.
- 46:36All right, Brian going to do it, but let's go to the dairy versus
- 46:51Corn here. Iowa laying a slim one and a
- 46:55half points, where you got Brian.
- 46:58He is a after what I saw from Wisconsin, I'm going to actually
- 47:02take Iowa here. Okay, after what I saw last week
- 47:06with this constant, I mean you know all credit to buy you there
- 47:10but I think Wisconsin had a chance to show something and
- 47:13they just completely scrapped the bed, I think.
- 47:16Well they're not quite the team. We thought they were going to be
- 47:19this year. So I'll take Iowa, we are who
- 47:22they thought they were. By the way, the over-under for
- 47:24this game, you know, you want to guess it real quick.
- 47:30Is it under 50 is under 50. Let me get loot, let me go 4442.
- 47:39Ah okay well it's also Iowa in December of sure, it's probably
- 47:45going to be about 15 degrees with a knife.
- 47:54He's got something to prove. They've had a couple bad games
- 47:59in a season where many thought that they would be the team
- 48:02coming out of the West. I think they're going to go try
- 48:03to prove something. At kinnick stadium.
- 48:07And so just as, basically a coin flip, pick them game.
- 48:11Anyway, I'll pick them to win this game over the Iowa
- 48:13Hawkeyes, okay? Alright, next Braun, lets go to
- 48:19the SEC East in essentially a battle for second place, believe
- 48:23it or not. Where is Missouri.
- 48:26Takes on, Georgia, Georgia laying 13 and a half points.
- 48:32I've been back and forth on this one, you know, obviously, we got
- 48:35a connection there with Damon Hazelton got a big game last
- 48:39week did have a very big game last week, which, you know, that
- 48:45took him a while to get there to do it.
- 48:47But, you know, you know, it is what it is.
- 48:51I mean, you look last week at his stat line and he goes out
- 48:54there. R5 catches 98 yards so we'll
- 48:58see. We'll see if he can keep that up
- 49:00against Georgia. I just can't see, Missouri
- 49:06staying with Georgia, you know, Missouri, beat Arkansas by two
- 49:12points. Blowout, Vanderbilt Vanderbilt
- 49:14doesn't count, but the couple of elite teams they played this
- 49:18year. That would be Florida.
- 49:23In Alabama, they got waxed by 2419 poetically.
- 49:27They also lost by 23 to Tennessee.
- 49:30I I just I feel like Georgia, maybe feel like they're playing
- 49:33for something still maybe sec. I'll do something wild seed.
- 49:37They play Texas A&M in an effort to sneak in Texas A&M.
- 49:42You know, do the playoff Bama Beats Florida.
- 49:46So give me you go. Okay, I'm right there with you,
- 49:51man. I like what Mizzou is done of
- 49:55late, but at the same time as you've noted, when they've had
- 49:59to go up against the big dogs in their conference.
- 50:02They've kind of not look that great even a up and down, dog
- 50:08like Tennessee. You know that wasn't a great
- 50:11performance. So I just I don't trust them in
- 50:13big games and this is a big game for them.
- 50:15So I'm going to take oh yeah, alright, alright, let's go to
- 50:20the biggest game in the ACC Battle of top, 20 team.
- 50:23Is number ten, Miami 17, UNC Miami, laying three and a half
- 50:31Miami. Is there potential to probably
- 50:34get a new year six bowl if they pull this win out.
- 50:38So if you gotta run, Oh, man, both of these teams, despite how
- 50:45good their records are have played games where you're like,
- 50:49ah, what, what are you doing? And then they pull out the wind
- 50:53so it doesn't matter and then obviously there's been a couple
- 50:56losses there for you and see that you kind of shake your head
- 50:59at. But in terms of consistency, I
- 51:03like Miami a little bit better when even when they play down to
- 51:07their competition, they generally still keep them at
- 51:09arm's length. Well this is a big match up.
- 51:12Or them. You know, they showed up and
- 51:15played pretty well against us. They showed up and played.
- 51:19You know, decent a couple other games, this year really
- 51:21Clemson's the only one that kind of kind of beat them.
- 51:24Pretty good. So, I'll take Miami in the three
- 51:27and a half. Yeah, the Clemson game, but on
- 51:30pretty good, but I mean, they were within 11 points at
- 51:33halftime, essentially the most people against Clemson.
- 51:35You lose it in the second half North Carolina to me, it's just
- 51:41been They lose when they're not supposed to lose.
- 51:46You know. They lost against UVA shouldn't
- 51:50have lost against UVA. They lost against Florida State.
- 51:52They shouldn't have lost against Florida State and again I really
- 51:56am going to put it on there that for Miami.
- 51:59They blew the doors off to you glass week, my hammy.
- 52:01Essentially, got this respect to the insane.
- 52:04Hey, when Clemson wins, and when Notre Dame wins this week,
- 52:09they're in we're not making anybody else play anymore.
- 52:12Games. There's not even though they
- 52:14could have stood up and said listen we only have one loss to
- 52:18a top five team. Yes.
- 52:19It's by multiple, you know touchdown.
- 52:22Yeah we should still get a chance.
- 52:26I've gotta say I'm on Miami with this.
- 52:31Okay, I'll be right there with me this, you know, it's close
- 52:39enough to a pick them. Where, you know, I trust Miami's
- 52:42consistency. Shocking to say more than I
- 52:45trust you and see the play consistently, so it's true.
- 52:48But the other piece is this unc's defense is like, swiss
- 52:53cheese where the Miami defense several times has essentially
- 52:58locked people down You see in this game like me like 4131
- 53:05where it's a really good game but unc's defense, just can't
- 53:10stop them. Miami gets that one or two stops
- 53:12in the awesome. All right, folks, last game and
- 53:17to me the biggest game of the week and rankings don't matter,
- 53:24it's the Army-Navy game first time and oh my God.
- 53:30Shoot. I lost it first time in how many
- 53:34years it's going to be on campus Because it's going to be in West
- 53:39Point. And I lost it.
- 53:44I had, I'm very sorry I had this up, um, Equity because so many
- 53:52years, it's either where it's like, Philly it will be at The
- 53:56Meadowlands sometimes. Sometimes it'll be down at the
- 53:59Ravens Stadium, which is really awesome.
- 54:02So, let me yeah. Sorry, guys, this was terrible
- 54:07because I had it and then I lost it.
- 54:13It's a long time, by the way 1983 they played in the Rose
- 54:17Bowl in. Pasadena do not have been a
- 54:21great game to see. Oh unbelievable.
- 54:29And I'm wondering if it's like 1931 either way, it is been a
- 54:34long time since it's been played on the campus.
- 54:36It's going to be played at West Point which is really cool.
- 54:40And for me, Brian, Navy started looking bad.
- 54:46Beginning of the year, they have really not righted, the ship
- 54:49even with a couple wins. I've got to go Army even though
- 54:54it's a triple option game in Army, literally not scoring one
- 54:58possession. Versus Navy not scoring two
- 55:01possessions could push this game but I just I can't see that.
- 55:05I've got to go Army. I'm with you man.
- 55:10I think Army is just been working system this year.
- 55:14Year, Navy started the season just and Army's been kind of
- 55:23steady Eddie. So I'm going to take our me, I
- 55:25think they're going to pull it out as much as we hate the
- 55:28triple option especially when a team named The Yellow Jackets
- 55:31run it. Well, I love seeing it in games
- 55:34like this where it's like you know, almost heads up so let's
- 55:39let's let the triple option Shine.
- 55:42The flexbone shine When it's running the way it should, it is
- 55:47a thing of beauty as annoying as it can be for a defense and oh
- 55:52absolutely when they're when they're humming.
- 55:54And would a couple years ago, I can't remember what year it was
- 55:58where. It's like, neither one could not
- 56:01either one could stop each other but like it was that perfect
- 56:06paced game where it was just like back forth, back forth,
- 56:10back forth and it goes really fast and it's just like thing.
- 56:14The beauty almost say this to if Jeff Monken and army wins
- 56:21Vanderbilt and I know no one who's a Vanderbilt fan, probably
- 56:26listen to us. But Mighty who is first of all,
- 56:30give them a pat on the back because life of that Phantom and
- 56:34football has got to be just absolutely brutal.
- 56:38It's like Duke fans been worse. Exactly.
- 56:43Go hard. Jeff Monken.
- 56:45You will be a competitive football team for five to ten
- 56:50years with him, running the triple option, you will win
- 56:54somewhere between 57 and your best years.
- 56:57Eight games a year, they do it van Dee's out there.
- 57:02They've always been like going for, you know, not splashy
- 57:06hires. But like, hires that get them
- 57:08Pub. I mean, you know, that's why you
- 57:11see Healy attached to probably a lot of their rumors this this
- 57:14office. He's a man.
- 57:15Well, so it'll be interesting. Did you catch the Jeff Collins
- 57:21patent are doozy handshake? No, I did not have that, man.
- 57:27Jeff Collins is my new favorite, unless we're playing them, very
- 57:35brief and jerked his hand. Away from når du zi and like
- 57:40took off towards the end zone and are doozies like who Mike.
- 57:46Shut up. Fuck up.
- 57:47Nor do you see? No one gives a shit about you
- 57:49and I'm in for that Jeff Collins right now.
- 57:52You are the man. Are you the main columns
- 57:54yesterday are dizzy? All right, Brian, anything in
- 57:57the smoker this weekend, this weekend, man.
- 58:01I am doing some more smoke K. So, we got a little little
- 58:05gathering. We're going to Saturday evenings
- 58:08on, make some of that. Take that over with some.
- 58:12I don't know what type of chips. I'll get.
- 58:13I might actually Food line makes a good good tortilla that that
- 58:19they make fresh there and house I usually will pick up some of
- 58:21those nice man. Nice.
- 58:26Anything breaking while we've been sitting here the last hour
- 58:29on a Thursday night other than laughing at in our doozy think
- 58:33and he deserves a better handshake.
- 58:35Nah man, we're good. Yeah, I'm seeing it now.
- 58:41I'm seeing it. I know I do.
- 58:46The question is what in our doozeedoo during the welding are
- 58:50doozeedoo? During the game is there
- 58:52everything? Dude, you know him?
- 58:56Yeah. We've had a deal with him for
- 59:00years because he's the biggest asshole on the sidelines.
- 59:04In the ACC he is he is a fucking asshole and a lot of time the
- 59:09shit he's complaining about. It's like dude, your team is
- 59:12doing this. It's nothing to argue about or
- 59:15your team is not getting interfered with.
- 59:18It's like he's trying to overplay the He's trying to
- 59:24overplay the. I'm trying to get in their heads
- 59:27for a call later on because it gets to a point where the rest
- 59:30like, I don't care if they do understand with him, I'm not
- 59:33throwing the flag. He's been in my ear about mom
- 59:36calls because pushing of he's pushing up, shut the hell up by
- 59:42far, maybe maybe one of the best 20 games in 2016, maybe during
- 59:49his 10-year with because he would not control in the face.
- 59:52I'm gonna throw the fade over and over and over.
- 59:56I will throw the fade until you stop it and they didn't stop it.
- 1:00:01It was either interference or a catch for Buffy and Isaiah every
- 1:00:06single time that Thursday night in our dues, he's lost his Regan
- 1:00:11every catch. He got a little bit closer to
- 1:00:14Madness, always wary. And then let me last season when
- 1:00:18he was talking, all that shit about, not jumping off sides in
- 1:00:21Beaver Stadium. We didn't jump off that night
- 1:00:26would probably not going to jump off in Lane.
- 1:00:28Well, fuck you. Yep, that's going to happen.
- 1:00:31That's, it's definitely going to happen.
- 1:00:34All right. Well folks, that is going to
