- 0:53Speaker 3: All right, that would be me, Brian Majors, two time
- 0:56Speaker 3: Deep South Tag Team champion and one time OVW Tech
- 1:00Speaker 3: Team Champion.
- 1:00Speaker 2: And now currently living in floor.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We're only we're only one time OBW.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it.
- 1:06Speaker 3: We haven't even told that story in these which is
- 1:08Speaker 3: unbelievable that they got like livid at us because we
- 1:10Speaker 3: had the vacation days and they put the titles on us.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Well, we're gonna start with that story.
- 1:15Speaker 4: But who shows screaming at us? Yes, yes, I do.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I just saw Brusky's mind. Go oh my God, that
- 1:23Speaker 4: did happen?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Anyways, Brett Major's here. Uh, you know, one half of
- 1:29Speaker 1: the Major's brothers eventually turns into the Major brothers. This
- 1:34Speaker 1: this development, yeah, yes, and development. Oh I guess yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I guess yeah. This kind of went off the rails.
- 1:41Speaker 1: It was supposed to be one episode to two. Listen,
- 1:43Speaker 1: we might come back to it. There's no way we
- 1:46Speaker 1: can fill this in three episodes. I've been talking to
- 1:48Speaker 1: the Dark Side of the Ring people, like giving them information,
- 1:52Speaker 1: footage and pleading my case why Deep South Wrestling should
- 1:56Speaker 1: be in the next Dark Side of the Ring. But
- 1:58Speaker 1: it hasn't happy ending. You know what I'm saying. Kobe Kingston,
- 2:01Speaker 1: you know.
- 2:03Speaker 3: The most comical dark side ever, right, yeah, But there's
- 2:08Speaker 3: a lot of twisted things also, Like Deep South Wrestling
- 2:13Speaker 3: closes down, okay, pictures mark.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Deep Southresting closes down because somebody name, well, let's say
- 2:20Speaker 1: his name rhymes with gets a blow job in the Mexico,
- 2:29Speaker 1: the Mexican restaurant that we have to like smooth people with,
- 2:33Speaker 1: and then Big Veto walks in on that said blowjob
- 2:37Speaker 1: reports him to the owner of Deep South Wrestling, who
- 2:40Speaker 1: tries to convince to turn himself in. It's in that
- 2:45Speaker 1: he forced himself on this woman, which he did not
- 2:48Speaker 1: are dead while he's on the phone. That's what they're
- 2:56Speaker 1: paying for here.
- 2:57Speaker 4: The public does not know the story.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I don't what if I deleted the name?
- 3:05Speaker 4: Sure?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Okay, okay, So then anyway, I'll just bleep it for you.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I'll just bleep before you.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Is on the phone with WWE offices and he doesn't realize.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So later on that he's on speakerphone and John Lauren
- 3:19Speaker 1: I was like.
- 3:19Speaker 4: We did you come?
- 3:24Speaker 1: It's an insane but he doesn't realize.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the final straw that you know that broke
- 3:33Speaker 3: the back of Deep South.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Oh my god?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Am I allowed to ask questions on this?
- 3:37Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:37Speaker 2: Of course, Okay, it's a consensual situation.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yes. Now, so Big Video Deep South, Deep South a crush.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Big Video had a crush on this said woman. We'll
- 3:51Speaker 1: just call her.
- 3:53Speaker 4: We'll call her, should we bleep?
- 3:56Speaker 1: I mean, all right, well, bleep, bleep, we're bleeping.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Check the identities of the so anyway for so legendly
- 4:06Speaker 3: all allegedly of course.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So we're at this this Mexican restaurant because it was
- 4:11Speaker 1: the most awkward thing ever, because these people are trying
- 4:14Speaker 1: to enjoy this fine cuisine, and we're like, hey, we're
- 4:17Speaker 1: Brian Major Brothers. Come to Deep South Wrestling every.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Thursday night, Southwest, so asked backwards.
- 4:22Speaker 3: We'd have to like interrupt families while they're having a
- 4:24Speaker 3: Mexican restaurant dinner on Wednesday nights and be like, Hi,
- 4:28Speaker 3: I'm Brian Majors. Are you enjoying your casadilla? Well, if
- 4:31Speaker 3: you're doing that, you'll enjoy Deep South Wrestling each and
- 4:33Speaker 3: every Thursday night down at blah blah blah blah Road.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Come see us live.
- 4:37Speaker 2: How did this not come out in the I am
- 4:40Speaker 2: Are you guys messing with me?
- 4:42Speaker 1: No, That's what I'm saying.
- 4:43Speaker 4: There's so much information, so much it's it's and especially
- 4:46Speaker 4: to look back on in like more mature eyes.
- 4:49Speaker 1: It's like because some of it just it just felt
- 4:51Speaker 1: so normal.
- 4:53Speaker 4: We were also so like young and dumb.
- 4:54Speaker 3: We just did whatever we're told and like did the
- 4:56Speaker 3: best of our abilities and didn't question things. And then
- 4:59Speaker 3: you back on it as a thirty six year old going, what.
- 5:02Speaker 2: The okay, so you got to go to a Mexican restaurant? Now,
- 5:05Speaker 2: what level of Mexican restaurant were talking? Are we talking?
- 5:07Speaker 2: It's somewhere between Taco Bell and the restaurant that Matt
- 5:10Speaker 2: likes to go to an Epcot. Where are we?
- 5:12Speaker 3: No, No, it's I'm trying to think of like it's
- 5:15Speaker 3: like a Chilia's, but not a chill.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Okay, like like a two and a half out of five.
- 5:18Speaker 4: On hell yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 3: And then we're forced this is like basically like the
- 5:22Speaker 3: Street Team every Wednesday. But it's so embarrassing and you know,
- 5:26Speaker 3: like degrading. We we end up just all getting smashed
- 5:29Speaker 3: at the bar and like conjred getting around the bar
- 5:31Speaker 3: and getting smashed.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So you walk up to a table and you're just like, hey, guys, sorry,
- 5:35Speaker 2: interrupt cold.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Like interrupt families while they're eating.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Now that's who we're supposed to introduce who we are.
- 5:41Speaker 1: We're all away, We're all guilty. After like ten minutes,
- 5:44Speaker 1: we all get well, no, no, the restaurants in on it.
- 5:47Speaker 3: The restaurant was wanted us there, or there was some
- 5:50Speaker 3: kind of weird brother deal, right yeah.
- 5:52Speaker 1: But then like listen, after we go up to a
- 5:54Speaker 1: couple of families, we all just got to.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Quit and drink it so degrading you just start to
- 5:59Speaker 3: ripping out to the bar and having some bears.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it's over.
- 6:03Speaker 2: All right, so you guys are ripping shots.
- 6:06Speaker 4: You know, jeez, mar got all that work today he's.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Allegedly getting a below jobs all in comes big veto.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Now I don't know if he was wearing the dress
- 6:19Speaker 1: this night or not.
- 6:21Speaker 3: No, this might be when he was trying to be
- 6:22Speaker 3: this muy TiVo muy tivto.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Okay, But so what I don't understand is how is
- 6:29Speaker 2: him admitting, like changing the story to that he was
- 6:33Speaker 2: doing this bad act because.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It would protect the market rep and protect keeps out
- 6:40Speaker 1: the wrestling, it would.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Keep Deep South open. And then just Barry said guilty
- 6:45Speaker 3: person into like basically not having a career anymore. Like
- 6:49Speaker 3: basically it was like his sacrifice to save Deep South.
- 6:52Speaker 3: And he was just like, no, yeah, right, it's insane.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Who would say, who on earth would be like, hmm,
- 6:57Speaker 3: yeah me save Deep South? Make up that I did
- 7:01Speaker 3: something that you know, absurd?
- 7:03Speaker 2: My god? All right, yeah, let's let's go this it
- 7:08Speaker 2: back or forward, tell me this, tell me this story
- 7:11Speaker 2: about the tag titles. And they got mad.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Okay, so Broski clearly forgot this. But we sat on
- 7:18Speaker 3: a couple episodes ago. I'm sure Deep South closes like
- 7:21Speaker 3: literally to us abruptly, but that's because of this incident
- 7:24Speaker 3: was like the final straw that we didn't learn for
- 7:27Speaker 3: a couple of years later as to what really happened.
- 7:30Speaker 3: And literally that night John Lorneidis was came down to
- 7:34Speaker 3: McDonough and told us that us us to Brad Jay,
- 7:37Speaker 3: Jesse Festus and I think Angelia Love, We're all going
- 7:40Speaker 3: to OVW immediately because we were like the closest to
- 7:43Speaker 3: being called up and everyone else was going to go
- 7:45Speaker 3: start what would become FCW. So like and we talked
- 7:49Speaker 3: about another episodes we went and shure we definitely had
- 7:52Speaker 3: that like group hug with like Boucie and for everybody
- 7:54Speaker 3: had some heat hon us. They like I think OVW
- 7:57Speaker 3: was initially excited to have us, and looking back on it,
- 8:01Speaker 3: it's a lot of it's our fault with our attitudes
- 8:03Speaker 3: because we were not excited to be there, like we
- 8:05Speaker 3: just like we're already called up, you know, so we
- 8:08Speaker 3: get called up in the literally the two three weeks
- 8:11Speaker 3: it takes to get to OVW, we got called up,
- 8:14Speaker 3: so we were pretty checked out of like even being there.
- 8:16Speaker 3: And we also in our minds like this is just
- 8:17Speaker 3: a little pit stop. Even though we wound up being
- 8:19Speaker 3: there for like eight months or whatever, like Johnny Wann let.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Us seven months. I'll never get.
- 8:23Speaker 4: It's like May to December, December, December. Yeah, we come
- 8:27Speaker 4: home like Christmas or Thanksgiving.
- 8:29Speaker 2: That that fall is the training at OVW as brutal
- 8:34Speaker 2: or is it kind.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Of like not even close, not even close, but it
- 8:37Speaker 3: was brutal in another way like Deep South, you're doing
- 8:40Speaker 3: like just taking years off your life with like bumps
- 8:43Speaker 3: and squats and push ups like an unholy amount, like
- 8:45Speaker 3: where it was like dangerous as hell OBEW. You didn't
- 8:48Speaker 3: even break a sweat. You went in and Ali Snow
- 8:50Speaker 3: just talked to you about stuff and maybe had like
- 8:53Speaker 3: one guy in the ring and like with demo stuff,
- 8:55Speaker 3: and it was just so boring that it was like
- 8:57Speaker 3: taking its toll.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I only remember actually training in OBW like once, and
- 9:02Speaker 1: like Robert Gibson was telling people that they're running the
- 9:05Speaker 1: ropes the wrong game.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Then like yeah, there's stuff like that. And then also
- 9:09Speaker 3: we should say that we because we hit we're on
- 9:11Speaker 3: a full road schedule. We missed a lot of days,
- 9:13Speaker 3: so we'd come and only do like a class because
- 9:16Speaker 3: we're on the road the other days of the week,
- 9:17Speaker 3: and they did.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like we'd come right in and then it
- 9:20Speaker 1: would be like TV.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah that's what I'm saying, right, Yeah, so yeah, because
- 9:25Speaker 3: we would land Wednesday morning and have to go right
- 9:27Speaker 3: to TV.
- 9:28Speaker 1: And then we were able to skip like the morning practice. Yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 1: not practice, but it was like the morning meeting, remember.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and then we would miss like obviously Monday and
- 9:35Speaker 3: Tuesday of training because we bed TVs so.
- 9:39Speaker 1: And then to Obw's credit, they did a lot of
- 9:43Speaker 1: live events, house shows. They did a lot like all
- 9:45Speaker 1: weekend long, so.
- 9:45Speaker 4: We would do that.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Those things would be attended by you know, it could
- 9:48Speaker 3: be a six flag show where there's hundreds of people there,
- 9:51Speaker 3: or show in literally Bumblefuck Kentucky in front of twenty people,
- 9:55Speaker 3: twelve people insane.
- 9:57Speaker 2: And Cornett is he's not there.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Gone long gone.
- 10:01Speaker 3: It's Danny Davis al Snow. I guess they're writing the show.
- 10:07Speaker 3: So I think who's writing the show? Because even the
- 10:09Speaker 3: Hayman error is over. We didn't get like the Hayman
- 10:11Speaker 3: era of it. So uh anyway, they initially I guess
- 10:14Speaker 3: they were excited to have us, and they write their
- 10:17Speaker 3: TVs like you know, in an old school way where
- 10:19Speaker 3: things are mapped out and they put the straps on
- 10:22Speaker 3: us and Brad Jay like pretty fast and he's the
- 10:26Speaker 3: world champion where the tag chance. We have this picture
- 10:27Speaker 3: in our apartment that's like pretty obnoxious where we're all
- 10:30Speaker 3: holding the.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Belts and stuff.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Who's Jay?
- 10:32Speaker 4: I'm sorry Bradley, j J. Bradley.
- 10:34Speaker 3: He was Ryan Braddock in w B for like three minutes.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Aiden o'sha an impact is like his last run, maybe
- 10:41Speaker 3: his biggest run. He was like Billy Corgan's like bodyguard dude.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Maybe he's had a lot of He actually was in
- 10:47Speaker 3: Punk and Cabana's training class.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Oh wow, they steal. Yeah, so he's he's been around.
- 10:53Speaker 3: So we put in we were somehow we were allowed
- 10:59Speaker 3: to like put in like vacation time because we had
- 11:01Speaker 3: been running so hot where we were gonna go home
- 11:04Speaker 3: for like a weekend and not like maybe we didn't
- 11:06Speaker 3: have live of WWE live events, so we put it in.
- 11:09Speaker 3: And I don't want to throw Boosie completely under the
- 11:11Speaker 3: bus in this, but it was something where he didn't
- 11:13Speaker 3: tell them, but he okayed it and he was like
- 11:14Speaker 3: our boss boss. And then when OBW found out, it
- 11:18Speaker 3: was like way too late and they put the titles
- 11:20Speaker 3: and they were like livid that we couldn't be around
- 11:23Speaker 3: for like a weekend of their live events or something.
- 11:27Speaker 3: But it was like what were the repercussions did? Dan
- 11:30Speaker 3: Davis screamed at us, like screamed at us like he
- 11:32Speaker 3: was so mad, and then we lost the belt like
- 11:35Speaker 3: it was almost it was like uh RVD and sad
- 11:38Speaker 3: who getting busted with pot situation, Like we lost them
- 11:40Speaker 3: like immediately want but like.
- 11:41Speaker 1: The thing was like it was like punishment, but we
- 11:43Speaker 1: didn't give the Yeah, man, I can't even remember who
- 11:46Speaker 1: beat us that I cared so little. I don't remember
- 11:50Speaker 1: I remember winning them or losing.
- 11:52Speaker 3: That's how meaning I know we won them at six
- 11:54Speaker 3: Flags from bam Neely and Maso right Toamaso uh Champa
- 11:59Speaker 3: and the ham. It was a three on two tag
- 12:01Speaker 3: match and I pinned to Masco Champa to win the
- 12:03Speaker 3: OVW tagtiles, which, which is pretty insane to Masso got
- 12:06Speaker 3: like the weirdest like unreal, unfair shaken developmentally. He was
- 12:11Speaker 3: signed for like not even six months and they like
- 12:13Speaker 3: made him a manager because he was so tiny, which is.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Like unbelievable to believe.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Now he's done, I know, yeah, is that crazy?
- 12:22Speaker 2: That is wild?
- 12:24Speaker 3: And then randomly just got fired like one day, like
- 12:26Speaker 3: he was fired like nobody else.
- 12:27Speaker 4: It wasn't even like a group it was. I remember
- 12:29Speaker 4: thinking it was so strange.
- 12:30Speaker 2: But I thought I heard something about him jumping a
- 12:34Speaker 2: guardrail as an or there was an extra story about
- 12:36Speaker 2: an extra jump in the guardrail to shake hands with
- 12:39Speaker 2: Triple H. And then for some reason I remember maybe
- 12:42Speaker 2: that was him or something.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I've never heard that.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, I forgot. I said that, let's.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Let's really we have to like look that up. The
- 12:51Speaker 3: Oxenhammer beat us back to get him back. I have
- 12:53Speaker 3: no clue, no idea.
- 12:54Speaker 4: I literally have no memory. That's sad.
- 12:56Speaker 2: That was the name of their of their tag name,
- 12:57Speaker 2: Oxen Hammer.
- 12:58Speaker 3: VAM nearly was the Ox and Charles the Hammer Evans
- 13:01Speaker 3: was his partner, and there were Ox and Hammer.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Cool and then ox or which one becomes bam neely Ox.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Okay, I don't know if we've answered this. What was
- 13:12Speaker 2: your entrance music at Deep South and what was it
- 13:15Speaker 2: at OVW In Deep South?
- 13:17Speaker 4: It was they had like I'll never forget this.
- 13:21Speaker 3: So the guy that helped out at Deep South or
- 13:24Speaker 3: I guess he was employed there was Neil Neil Pruitt.
- 13:30Speaker 3: He's the voice of the He's the voice of New New.
- 13:32Speaker 4: New World Order.
- 13:33Speaker 3: He is the he is that voice. And he made
- 13:36Speaker 3: those original like nw O vignettes and worked for w
- 13:39Speaker 3: W like new New, New New World Order.
- 13:41Speaker 1: He sent me a happy birthday thay on Facebook. He
- 13:43Speaker 1: said like New World Order for life. But uh, well
- 13:47Speaker 1: that's how I read it. I remember when we first started.
- 13:49Speaker 1: He showed us.
- 13:49Speaker 3: He took us into like the production room whatever, and
- 13:52Speaker 3: there was like books of CDs and they were old
- 13:55Speaker 3: like generic w CW entrance themes that like we could
- 13:59Speaker 3: pick through.
- 14:00Speaker 4: That's how we found the one we used.
- 14:02Speaker 2: So it was just what random like sound.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Random brothered out like it was almost like take the
- 14:07Speaker 3: Snake or something a little bit yeah okay.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But then obew, you could use real music.
- 14:12Speaker 4: What one thing? For sure we were excited about OVW.
- 14:14Speaker 3: So one of ow's using real music like ECB style,
- 14:17Speaker 3: We're like, whoa yeah, and we were going really into
- 14:20Speaker 3: Daughtry at the time.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yeah, what I want, what I need?
- 14:24Speaker 4: I forgot what it was called, but it's something Dawtry,
- 14:26Speaker 4: It's what I want and it's Dawtry and Slash from
- 14:29Speaker 4: Guns N' Roses. That's why it's got like the cool
- 14:31Speaker 4: like beat.
- 14:31Speaker 2: To not remembering anything about that song.
- 14:34Speaker 4: It wasn't a radio hit, but we like, we liked
- 14:36Speaker 4: the album. We had the CD. Yeah, we would like,
- 14:39Speaker 4: let's do it in the car and it was Prosy's
- 14:40Speaker 4: idea and I was like, you know what, I'm on board.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I was a Daughtry fan in that season of American Idol,
- 14:45Speaker 2: all right. The whole deal of this, uh you know
- 14:51Speaker 2: a thing, thank some of Bud.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You don't know that.
- 15:01Speaker 4: It's not picking up there.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I was today years old when I realized it had
- 15:12Speaker 1: Slash in it.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Though you serious?
- 15:15Speaker 1: I'm serious?
- 15:16Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 15:17Speaker 1: And I'm now added to my playlist.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Oh wow, It's been on my for years. All right.
- 15:21Speaker 2: So the gimmick of these episodes is that people ask questions.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I've noticed that a couple are asking similar or possibly
- 15:29Speaker 2: the same questions as all.
- 15:30Speaker 4: You think it's been been hashed upon. Just steer clear
- 15:33Speaker 4: of that.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Yes, well, I sort of can't even remember what we've
- 15:36Speaker 2: talked about, but are going to work through these things.
- 15:38Speaker 4: So easy to talk about this because there's so much.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and then we ask a question, then it jogs
- 15:43Speaker 2: your memory, and that too, all right, why it, Adam,
- 15:46Speaker 2: what was the toughest criticism somebody gave you? And I
- 15:49Speaker 2: know that people yelled at you a lot, So let's
- 15:52Speaker 2: think about something that was like maybe real, like that
- 15:55Speaker 2: was pretty tough.
- 15:55Speaker 1: But I mean, what about having a tag tea match
- 15:59Speaker 1: and coming through the curtain and there's angry, angry Bob
- 16:03Speaker 1: Holly there, Well that's not he says it sucked. Bride's like, well,
- 16:13Speaker 1: what exactly what you like about it?
- 16:15Speaker 3: But I'll take this from the top and and you
- 16:17Speaker 3: know what, this is a very arrogant answer that question.
- 16:19Speaker 3: By the way, Mark, we were so young that like
- 16:22Speaker 3: there was just so much room for improvement, so like
- 16:25Speaker 3: you know what I mean, it wasn't like.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And that's why you're in developmental to learn it.
- 16:29Speaker 4: You know.
- 16:29Speaker 3: To me, yeah, that's why you know it should be
- 16:31Speaker 3: like where you get better. So like I don't really
- 16:33Speaker 3: recall being like epically crushed by someone saying like, you know,
- 16:37Speaker 3: we just got better little by little and learned and
- 16:40Speaker 3: tried really really.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Fucking hard, and like paid off.
- 16:43Speaker 3: But anyway, Bob Holly, I believe it's like right, oh,
- 16:47Speaker 3: it's it's right before his ECW run where he gets
- 16:50Speaker 3: that cut on his back that they they play in
- 16:52Speaker 3: like forever. Basically, yeah, you know, he takes that that
- 16:55Speaker 3: table bump and he has the bat. It's right up
- 16:57Speaker 3: to that he had. He was coming off some big injury,
- 16:59Speaker 3: maybe a neckinger or something, and I guess he asked
- 17:03Speaker 3: or was sent to Deep South the rehab. But he's
- 17:05Speaker 3: Bob Holly, He's not like in the classes or whatever.
- 17:08Speaker 3: And he would from my recollection, it was about three
- 17:11Speaker 3: weeks and he would just show up and you didn't
- 17:13Speaker 3: know when he was gonna show up.
- 17:14Speaker 4: And it was literally like like it was the air
- 17:16Speaker 4: was coming out of him. He was so scary, dude.
- 17:19Speaker 4: The doors are just so intense.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Oh shit, it's Bob and like he was just so terrifying.
- 17:24Speaker 3: And the two main things I remember about this run
- 17:26Speaker 3: is one, well, one, he loved Gallows because I think
- 17:29Speaker 3: he thought Gallows was like an old school brother and
- 17:31Speaker 3: he gave him a pass and like really loved him.
- 17:33Speaker 3: And then he was mean as fucked like everybody, but
- 17:36Speaker 3: he wasn't mean the Broskian.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Eye no, and I remember he's he told us that
- 17:40Speaker 1: he was gonna get us called up, or at least
- 17:42Speaker 1: gonna try out. Then he was telling me like how
- 17:44Speaker 1: to gain weight, like eat hot dogs in the middle
- 17:46Speaker 1: of the night, like he was being he was being
- 17:48Speaker 1: as nice as possibly could. I remember eating hot dogs
- 17:50Speaker 1: with no bun in the middle of the night, you.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Know, but he was still so scary. I remember we
- 17:55Speaker 3: did this one time. We were doing something and he
- 17:57Speaker 3: wasn't even he was like watching from the other side
- 17:59Speaker 3: of the rail. Was part of the class, and it
- 18:01Speaker 3: was this kid, Chris Rambowla who never made it or
- 18:03Speaker 3: anything and he quit the biz. But he was tying up.
- 18:05Speaker 3: But he's like, you tie up like a fucking pussy.
- 18:08Speaker 3: And then he hopped the rail and he gets in.
- 18:10Speaker 3: He's like like this and he keeps doing a power
- 18:12Speaker 3: and lbo tie. But every time he would do it,
- 18:14Speaker 3: he would slip like a big like right jab across
- 18:17Speaker 3: his face and kind of punching him in the face
- 18:19Speaker 3: every time, like on purpose, to the point where like
- 18:21Speaker 3: they just keep tying up, tying up, tying on. By
- 18:23Speaker 3: the time it's over, this kid is like shaking. He's
- 18:25Speaker 3: got a bloody lip coming like trickling down and stuff.
- 18:28Speaker 3: He's like, that's how you tie up, you fucking bitch.
- 18:30Speaker 3: It was like just nuts man. And then so like
- 18:35Speaker 3: we didn't have any run ins with him when and
- 18:37Speaker 3: like Brosky said, we thought we were like even kind
- 18:38Speaker 3: of cool with him. So he was at our show
- 18:43Speaker 3: and we had and I'm in my mind like a
- 18:46Speaker 3: fine mash like Knocks and Derrek Nikerk, Mike Knox and
- 18:49Speaker 3: Dark Niker were replected basically the top guys of Deep South,
- 18:52Speaker 3: Like there was no one, you know, in a higher echelon,
- 18:55Speaker 3: and we hung with them, had this like I thought, okay,
- 18:58Speaker 3: tag or whatever. And we got in the back and
- 19:00Speaker 3: Bob's there and we were like, hey, Bob, did you
- 19:02Speaker 3: see the match?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Wed you think?
- 19:03Speaker 3: He goes yeah, and then we were like what And
- 19:08Speaker 3: then like I was like it felt like an eternity,
- 19:10Speaker 3: But I'm like, oh, I can't just leave it at that,
- 19:13Speaker 3: Like I gotta like follow up, and.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Bro I'm not in that situation, but I've certainly been
- 19:17Speaker 2: in the situation where you get a shitty response. So
- 19:19Speaker 2: then you're like, do I just Homer in the bush?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah? You gotta probably what I should have done.
- 19:24Speaker 2: You gotta go, like I said something.
- 19:27Speaker 3: I said something like, well, Bob, like what particularly did
- 19:31Speaker 3: you not like about that? And he just sat and
- 19:34Speaker 3: then he like and like that turned heads like it
- 19:36Speaker 3: was so loud. It was that everyone in locker rooms
- 19:38Speaker 3: like looking at us now. And then he like stormed
- 19:40Speaker 3: away and went out the back door. And then we
- 19:42Speaker 3: didn't see him until we were on the main roster
- 19:44Speaker 3: with him.
- 19:45Speaker 1: And then he said, yeah, I had to you have
- 19:48Speaker 1: to bleep the word market. Yeah, the country.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:58Speaker 3: The next two times we saw him, one was like, uh,
- 20:02Speaker 3: the catering, like when you do overseas tour and you're
- 20:05Speaker 3: on two different brands, there's like that one night, like
- 20:07Speaker 3: Monday night, like late night, you might run into the
- 20:09Speaker 3: other crew because they're coming back from TV's and you're
- 20:11Speaker 3: getting to TV's and he saw us and he said.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Do you let you too?
- 20:16Speaker 3: And then uh, I think right before that we saw
- 20:19Speaker 3: him like when we were doing darks and stuff, and.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Oh, maybe that one was just y'all want to work it.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Maybe maybe I can mix the two stories, but still
- 20:26Speaker 1: it was intimidating.
- 20:27Speaker 4: It was definitely an F bomb in there.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Yeah, anyway, he's changed now Bob sweet, we love Bob,
- 20:34Speaker 3: we love Bob whole things up.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Wow, he has definitely changed. I've heard podcasts where he
- 20:39Speaker 2: kind of like has admitted that he regrets maybe being
- 20:42Speaker 2: as mean.
- 20:43Speaker 3: As he was an intense dude to be around, scary
- 20:46Speaker 3: Like I literally he would come in and people's hearts
- 20:48Speaker 3: would sink, like, oh no, Bob's here, because like it
- 20:51Speaker 3: was already hard enough, and then that would just suck
- 20:54Speaker 3: the life out of the room, like this is gonna
- 20:55Speaker 3: be terrible, or like who knows what's gonna happen, or
- 20:58Speaker 3: who's gonna say the wrong.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Thing or whatever.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I remember one time I don't know remembers is he
- 21:03Speaker 3: was like teaching a class and he like he would
- 21:05Speaker 3: only work with Danny Inferno, Danny Jimondo, and he's basically saying,
- 21:09Speaker 3: like he knows what he's doing the rest of you
- 21:10Speaker 3: but suck just because Danny had been around here for
- 21:15Speaker 3: a long time.
- 21:15Speaker 4: You know.
- 21:17Speaker 2: All right, I'm gonna ask this question. Uh, if you
- 21:20Speaker 2: guys want to pass, just say pass and we'll move on.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Eric anymore, Ben wah stories, you guys had a good
- 21:26Speaker 2: one last time.
- 21:28Speaker 3: That's really I mean, that's it really, uh right, he
- 21:32Speaker 3: would have like private workouts with MVP at Deep South
- 21:36Speaker 3: and they're getting ready for that Mania match, and we
- 21:40Speaker 3: were never like a part of it. We knew they
- 21:42Speaker 3: were going on and stuff, but we didn't like hang
- 21:44Speaker 3: out with them or sitting in on them or anything
- 21:45Speaker 3: like that.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Right, Steve in Thornton, is there a match that you
- 21:50Speaker 2: had or witnessed during Deep South or FCW that you
- 21:53Speaker 2: wish more people had the chance to see, whether for
- 21:55Speaker 2: good or bad reasons?
- 21:57Speaker 4: Also, Okay, Omega versus Chrissy Vain practice match? Are you serious?
- 22:03Speaker 4: I don't remember this at all.
- 22:04Speaker 1: You don't remember this?
- 22:05Speaker 3: No, Like Kenny and Bill DeMott had a very, uh
- 22:10Speaker 3: peculiar relationship.
- 22:12Speaker 4: I would say, I don't know how to really put
- 22:13Speaker 4: my finger on it.
- 22:15Speaker 2: What he hated him?
- 22:16Speaker 3: Right, He just forever reason made his Kenny's life like
- 22:19Speaker 3: a living hell, even though Kenny was obviously very talented.
- 22:22Speaker 4: And then.
- 22:24Speaker 3: We did practice matches one day where Bill it was
- 22:26Speaker 3: on the fly and he would just go like you
- 22:27Speaker 3: two go, you two go, And he definitely purposely kept
- 22:30Speaker 3: Kenny last and he made him go with like the
- 22:32Speaker 3: only girl or the odd numbers, and he wrestled Chrissy Vain,
- 22:36Speaker 3: who ended up marrying Connor from the Ascension and still
- 22:39Speaker 3: wrestles to this day. And I'll never forget that like
- 22:44Speaker 3: the heat spot or like the cutoff spot was like
- 22:46Speaker 3: something to her butt, like he punched her in the
- 22:50Speaker 3: butt or whatever, and like we all popped. But then
- 22:53Speaker 3: like he made the whole match makes sense. Like he'd
- 22:55Speaker 3: grab like holds like but holes and then like cut
- 22:58Speaker 3: off and then like cut her off with like a
- 23:01Speaker 3: shot to the butt and like she'd sell like and
- 23:03Speaker 3: it made sense and like you're like it was like
- 23:06Speaker 3: and it might have been like where the day the
- 23:08Speaker 3: theme of the day was like work a body part
- 23:10Speaker 3: type thing, and he kind of was like it was
- 23:12Speaker 3: kind of like an f you to Bill, and it's
- 23:14Speaker 3: super a few to Bill when all the boys are
- 23:15Speaker 3: popping for and he's sitting there with like a scowl,
- 23:17Speaker 3: like really pissed, you know.
- 23:18Speaker 4: But I'll never forget that.
- 23:19Speaker 3: There was also another one, and I'm sure Brosky Ramer
- 23:21Speaker 3: says Tommy Swayede versus Kenny Omega practice match where they
- 23:25Speaker 3: did like Japanese style, We're like kicking out of like
- 23:28Speaker 3: brainbusters on like one and like screaming and all the
- 23:30Speaker 3: boys all the boys are popping and shit and Bill
- 23:32Speaker 3: just hey did that shit?
- 23:35Speaker 1: I one match, one match that you can watch of hours.
- 23:38Speaker 1: It's somewhere on YouTube. It's when we win the OBW No, no,
- 23:43Speaker 1: we win the Deep South titles from Dus and Domino
- 23:47Speaker 1: who have both at the time, and that match I
- 23:50Speaker 1: got it onto Before the ww network, there was WWE
- 23:54Speaker 1: Classics on demand.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Do you remember that?
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yes, of course.
- 23:57Speaker 1: And I had a monthly show on They are called
- 24:00Speaker 1: like right in the Smack Dad Middle of the YouTube
- 24:03Speaker 1: show run, it was called like Long Island Ice three
- 24:07Speaker 1: or Zach Ryder's Ice three, and it was three matches
- 24:11Speaker 1: and on one of those shows, it's it's us winning
- 24:14Speaker 1: those tag team titles. So it must be on YouTube somewhere.
- 24:17Speaker 1: It's got to be somewhere.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Yeah, that's funny.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Memory after that match is like I think Mike Taylor,
- 24:21Speaker 3: like youat all the boys to rib us because we're
- 24:23Speaker 3: winning their tag titles, and he has them like slap
- 24:26Speaker 3: us all on the back as hard as they can,
- 24:28Speaker 3: like to congratulate us. But it's on TV and we're celebrating,
- 24:31Speaker 3: like going up the ramp, like holding the bells, but
- 24:33Speaker 3: the boys are just whacking us in our love handles
- 24:35Speaker 3: and shit like as hard as they can.
- 24:36Speaker 4: And like we're like no selling it. It's like brutal
- 24:38Speaker 4: as hell.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Uh. You know you brought up that thing about the
- 24:44Speaker 2: practice matches. It's really tough to pop the boys in
- 24:49Speaker 2: a practice match because you're just seeing fifteen matches a lot, right, Yeah.
- 24:54Speaker 2: So it's like I love.
- 24:55Speaker 4: It, like first matches and stuff like crazy, right, Like.
- 24:59Speaker 2: That favorite that cap is when somebody like brycet on him.
- 25:02Speaker 2: It'll put together some sort of really interesting, you know,
- 25:06Speaker 2: like out of the box thing and we're all just
- 25:07Speaker 2: losing it. That's like special cap.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Practice match ever, is when Mark quit in the middle
- 25:12Speaker 4: of the one.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Oh, that is the opposite of what we're talking about.
- 25:16Speaker 2: That was the artist Mart.
- 25:18Speaker 4: He's with like a really green person that he can't
- 25:20Speaker 4: get him to do like anything he wants to do.
- 25:22Speaker 4: And I finally Mark was just.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Like didn't like raged out of the ring.
- 25:26Speaker 4: It was like nuts.
- 25:28Speaker 2: We always talk about twice. It happened twice. Once I
- 25:32Speaker 2: I just laid down and let him pin me. The
- 25:33Speaker 2: other one was the other one I stopped.
- 25:36Speaker 3: The other awesome deep self practice match is Broski versus
- 25:39Speaker 3: Danny Inferno and he hits his head on the pole.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Uh, We've talked about that. I think I think like
- 25:47Speaker 1: a big stinger splash, hits his shoot. It's is that
- 25:50Speaker 1: on the pole, flips out of the ring, which got
- 25:51Speaker 1: a big pop. But then he does like the Vince
- 25:54Speaker 1: WrestleMania cell up from the apron when we realize he's
- 25:56Speaker 1: like a Crimson mask. I was so upset because ibviously
- 26:00Speaker 1: that wasn't on TV, and then the only other time
- 26:02Speaker 1: I bleed, like of course, like busted limp whatever, But
- 26:06Speaker 1: like significantly, We're wrestling Mizzen Morrison on either ECW or SmackDown,
- 26:11Speaker 1: but it's taped and they do something where I'm like
- 26:15Speaker 1: sitting markting pictures. I'm sitting down, but my legs are
- 26:18Speaker 1: inside the ring, but my body's outside the ring, and
- 26:21Speaker 1: I'm like sitting so like my butt's on the apron,
- 26:23Speaker 1: my legs are the inside, and my chest is against
- 26:25Speaker 1: like the ropes, and Morrison does some like sling shot
- 26:29Speaker 1: drop kick thing hits me fine, but when I bumped back,
- 26:32Speaker 1: I hit the metal beam of the ring in the
- 26:34Speaker 1: back of my head, so I started like gushing blood
- 26:39Speaker 1: and we finished the match but like they edit around.
- 26:41Speaker 4: It, so it's like an unreal job editing it.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Like that's something like we could have used like for
- 26:46Speaker 1: sympathy big time, you know, but it's like totally edited out.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Wow, that's crazy. And also, for the record, we had
- 26:54Speaker 2: a lot of really dangerous things planned for the rest
- 26:57Speaker 2: of the match, like with that kid, and I was
- 26:59Speaker 2: I couldn't get him to like reverse a superlex and
- 27:01Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, I'm not trusting him to throw me
- 27:03Speaker 2: into the buckle later. No, f and way, That's why I.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Just quit, just to see Mark Rage Rage quit.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Suplex me, suplex me, suplex me, sup plex me, suplex me.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Alright, the best.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Also, Steven Thornton says, also was there any gimmick from
- 27:18Speaker 2: the developmental that you think would have been great a
- 27:22Speaker 2: great figure but was never seen in the main roster?
- 27:24Speaker 2: Great question?
- 27:25Speaker 4: Freaking deacon, freaking deacon?
- 27:28Speaker 2: What exactly can you tell me? What exactly is the
- 27:31Speaker 2: freaking Deacon?
- 27:32Speaker 1: Because it's also like missing link. I can't even describe
- 27:35Speaker 1: what he is.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Bruiser Brody meets the missing Link, I would say.
- 27:39Speaker 1: And he's got like a pet spider, but now he
- 27:41Speaker 1: not like an Eric Rowan fake spiders, like a real.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Spider, shoot pet spider that he would like put in
- 27:47Speaker 3: his mouth and do all this like creepy stuff with
- 27:50Speaker 3: the spider's name was Willow. And I think he went
- 27:52Speaker 3: through like five of them because he was just not
- 27:54Speaker 3: a good caretaker. But and what he put in his
- 27:57Speaker 3: mouth one time, it like stung him or bit him
- 27:58Speaker 3: or something.
- 27:59Speaker 4: He go to the hospital.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, I think a high impact. We talked
- 28:04Speaker 1: about them before, Mike Taylor and Tony Santarelli. I think
- 28:06Speaker 1: they should have been called up. They were like, I
- 28:08Speaker 1: think they could have been the next hardy boys, next rockers.
- 28:11Speaker 1: They were doing like the extreme sports kind of gimmick,
- 28:13Speaker 1: like Mike was a surfer and Tony was a BMX spiker,
- 28:16Speaker 1: so they were in like poor shores and BMX and
- 28:18Speaker 1: again like mohawks and dyed hair and.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Very kid friendly.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they would have been great figures as well.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah you see that with Darby Ellen.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Now basically yeah, and we we we said a couple episodes,
- 28:30Speaker 3: we took a lot from them, like with how they
- 28:32Speaker 3: were as you know, because they were way more polished
- 28:34Speaker 3: than we were at the time.
- 28:35Speaker 4: You know.
- 28:36Speaker 2: All right, here's this one this is from uh Mark Mattel.
- 28:39Speaker 2: What who who had in all of your time in
- 28:42Speaker 2: Deep South? Who had the absolute biggest best physique?
- 28:49Speaker 1: Tommy Swade.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Tommy Swade was jacked in Deep South for sure? Right?
- 28:53Speaker 4: Is he number one deep South?
- 28:54Speaker 1: I mean yeah, I mean we weren't there Crew Jones,
- 28:58Speaker 1: but he was.
- 28:58Speaker 4: He wasn't signed, he wasn't sign.
- 29:00Speaker 1: I would say Deep South. Tommy Swade, who's still to
- 29:02Speaker 1: this day has a great physique.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't even know that is.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Crewe Jones was a.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Here's here's here's here's a Tommy Swade story. So Tommy
- 29:12Speaker 1: Swayde I think he'll tell you as well, didn't have
- 29:16Speaker 1: the best personality, you know what I'm saying. So he
- 29:20Speaker 1: started doing this gimmick or was pitching this gimmick before
- 29:23Speaker 1: Deadpool was a thing. He basically ripped off Deadpool and
- 29:27Speaker 1: was like the Deadpool mass. Remember this, Brian has all
- 29:31Speaker 1: this and that that was his his like not his
- 29:33Speaker 1: last ditch attempt, but ended up being his last attempt.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And he goes to ov W because they did like
- 29:38Speaker 1: a little like trade every once in a while to
- 29:41Speaker 1: like get people to feel out the different environment.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Man, that depressing like somebody get your buddy gets traded.
- 29:47Speaker 1: You're like, no, no, this wasn't for real. This was
- 29:49Speaker 1: just for like a two.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Three week trade stuff like that, Right, That's what we
- 29:54Speaker 3: wanted to do in OVW, And we were supposed to go.
- 29:56Speaker 1: We were supposed to go. We're supposed to gost Cody
- 29:58Speaker 1: and Spears and do like no, they were supposed to
- 30:00Speaker 1: they were supposed to come here, and I think they
- 30:02Speaker 1: were coming to the South. We filmed vignettes for it,
- 30:04Speaker 1: a promo choice. So anyway, so Tommy swayde he goes
- 30:08Speaker 1: to ob W. Now ob W was treated a lot
- 30:11Speaker 1: differently than Deep South, where people like the W writers
- 30:14Speaker 1: would like really a be there be like care about it.
- 30:17Speaker 1: So he's he's about to go do this match with
- 30:19Speaker 1: gimmick that much? Yeah, okay, it was all kind of whatever.
- 30:25Speaker 1: So he anyway, long story short, he goes to pitch
- 30:27Speaker 1: this new gimmy to show off this new gimmick. I
- 30:30Speaker 1: feel like the writer, the W writers were there for this,
- 30:33Speaker 1: show off this new Deadpool gimmick and fucking road kill
- 30:37Speaker 1: as a rib takes his mask so he has to wrestle.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Is just good old Tommy Swade, oh man, and then
- 30:44Speaker 1: he gets fired, damn road kill and he gets he
- 30:48Speaker 1: gets fired where we're eating with him at I believe
- 30:51Speaker 1: it's cracker Ball, right, yes, and then so I don't
- 30:55Speaker 1: know who gets fired first, but Brouchi's calls like, oh wait,
- 30:58Speaker 1: you're with Tony said there ahead phone.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Yeah, there was like a black Saturday deep South.
- 31:04Speaker 3: This is when Bill finally got fired and everything, and
- 31:07Speaker 3: we were just chilling, like having a nice little hungover
- 31:10Speaker 3: you know, cracker barrel brunch, right, how how un corporate
- 31:15Speaker 3: is that? Just ahead of the phone, past the phone?
- 31:18Speaker 2: Wait, why were you talking to him?
- 31:20Speaker 4: No?
- 31:20Speaker 3: No, no, the four of us are at the me Broski,
- 31:22Speaker 3: Tony Santarelli, Tommy Swayde's right. I don't remember who gets
- 31:26Speaker 3: called first, but it's Mike Bouchie like, hey, sorry, man,
- 31:28Speaker 3: you're fired.
- 31:29Speaker 4: What are you doing?
- 31:30Speaker 1: Oh your Crackerball?
- 31:30Speaker 4: Who's there? Oh? Oh Santarelli? You mind just giving him
- 31:34Speaker 4: the phone?
- 31:34Speaker 3: And he just hands this phone over when he gets
- 31:35Speaker 3: fired too, with Tommy Swayde's phone.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Jesus the Wild Wild West bro Oh my god, every
- 31:45Speaker 4: single aspect Joe Basquez.
- 31:47Speaker 2: What were some of the other characters that were pitched
- 31:50Speaker 2: to WW writers. When they came down, anything stick out
- 31:54Speaker 2: as really good or really bad. So maybe something you
- 31:56Speaker 2: haven't talked.
- 31:56Speaker 1: About for't actually talked to my head due Brad Jay
- 32:01Speaker 1: want to be Randy Orton's best friend, or like the
- 32:04Speaker 1: fake JBL fake JBL every month. Uh that's what the
- 32:08Speaker 1: doll metals four if they're not using it. Like I
- 32:10Speaker 1: agree though, right, So that's like the way you're supposed
- 32:12Speaker 1: to Like how many times the Dillinger changes is gonna
- 32:14Speaker 1: make until it becomes the perfect ten?
- 32:15Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 32:16Speaker 3: You know so, uh, long story short, these writers would
- 32:20Speaker 3: come down kind of a brutal scenario, like you cut
- 32:24Speaker 3: a promo in front of like, you know, the seven
- 32:25Speaker 3: eight Riders and they sit there in silence. Then you
- 32:28Speaker 3: have a match in front of them, which really doesn't
- 32:31Speaker 3: do you any justice because they don't know, like wrestling
- 32:33Speaker 3: writers don't know like wrestling Matt, you know what I mean,
- 32:36Speaker 3: and especially in front of nobody, like it's so hard
- 32:38Speaker 3: to impress. But anyway that we did that and then
- 32:41Speaker 3: we had like a little pow wow like after like
- 32:43Speaker 3: we're all just kind of like hanging out talking to them,
- 32:45Speaker 3: shooting the shit whatever. In passing, one of the writers
- 32:48Speaker 3: said like, oh, yeah, you're a big guy. I could
- 32:49Speaker 3: see you being like like maybe like Randy Orton's best
- 32:52Speaker 3: friend or something like that. So a normal person would
- 32:56Speaker 3: take that as like you'd forget about it. It's just like, Okay,
- 32:58Speaker 3: that's something I could think about. Or what set my
- 33:01Speaker 3: brad ja went around to everyone going would they say
- 33:03Speaker 3: to you? Well, guess what they said to me, I'm
- 33:05Speaker 3: gonna be ready your best front? Me Ready's best front.
- 33:09Speaker 3: And then like the weeks after that, I remember like
- 33:13Speaker 3: we'd all cut our promos that we'd send to the
- 33:15Speaker 3: office and he'd be like, who Randy be brad best front?
- 33:20Speaker 4: Like it just brutal. He just took it to too literally.
- 33:25Speaker 4: You know.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Oh God, Jojo, from being fans as kids and making
- 33:31Speaker 2: it in the business, has being professional wrestlers changed your
- 33:35Speaker 2: love of wrestling in any way? I guess that's not
- 33:37Speaker 2: really a developmental question.
- 33:39Speaker 1: No, I mean no, yes, and no, Like I still
- 33:42Speaker 1: love wrestling and I love like old school stuff, the
- 33:44Speaker 1: stuff we grew up on and and doing this podcast
- 33:47Speaker 1: and talking about the figures and the stuff I played
- 33:49Speaker 1: with definitely is such a you know, made me not
- 33:53Speaker 1: noth nothing ever fell out of it. But made me
- 33:54Speaker 1: remember why I fell in love with it. That makes sense.
- 33:57Speaker 1: But for instance, like I don't know when this episode's
- 34:00Speaker 1: gonna drop, But on the latest mc drolling out of
- 34:02Speaker 1: the story, Mark is baffled that there's a WW event
- 34:06Speaker 1: a pay per view and I'm not booked on it
- 34:08Speaker 1: and I didn't order it on pay per view and
- 34:09Speaker 1: watch it, like I mean with the net, like in
- 34:13Speaker 1: the non network case, Mucket's been thirty bucks to watch
- 34:15Speaker 1: a pay per view. I'm not on when you say.
- 34:17Speaker 2: It like that, like order the pay per view by
- 34:19Speaker 2: yourself and whatever. In my mind, I'm like, oh, they
- 34:22Speaker 2: must just like get together and watch it or something.
- 34:24Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, we still watch pay per views.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I watched the shit out of wrestling.
- 34:28Speaker 3: I think the number one perk of this podcast is
- 34:31Speaker 3: that I'm constantly being reminded of why this is why
- 34:35Speaker 3: I did this in the first place.
- 34:36Speaker 4: You know, I think that's great.
- 34:37Speaker 3: And I I've always told myself, like, if you're not
- 34:41Speaker 3: in love with wrestling, you really shouldn't do it because
- 34:44Speaker 3: it's so difficult and strange and hard and tough on
- 34:48Speaker 3: your family and the traveling and your body. Like there's
- 34:50Speaker 3: so many nets tough business. It's a tough business of families.
- 34:55Speaker 3: But like, so why would you do it? Just work
- 34:58Speaker 3: at fucking Starbucks or something then, you know, I I mean,
- 35:00Speaker 3: like it's just there's so much goes into us. If
- 35:02Speaker 3: you don't have passion for it, it just makes no sense,
- 35:05Speaker 3: you know.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Oh, of course, Steve Fiano worst Make a Deal Friday.
- 35:12Speaker 2: You saw we talked about the make a Deal Fridays.
- 35:15Speaker 4: I mean, I don't think there's any worse than the
- 35:16Speaker 4: jelly donut Zally donut thing is as bad as it gets.
- 35:20Speaker 4: The beatdown shit was pretty bad though, like when he
- 35:22Speaker 4: just blow you up until you couldn't move and then
- 35:24Speaker 4: sit on you.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Yeah, but like I don't think anything was really like
- 35:30Speaker 1: that bad. From an outsider, I understand me sitting in
- 35:33Speaker 1: the corner, another woman in the corner with jelly donuts
- 35:36Speaker 1: getting think faced into their face. Okay, that's bad, but
- 35:38Speaker 1: like it was all good fun, which is crazy to say.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Yeah, before our time, I've heard Gallows and the guys
- 35:45Speaker 3: tell me the story that they took, like I can't
- 35:48Speaker 3: remember them some kind of ridiculous number in squats and
- 35:50Speaker 3: then they could leave just free squatting and they for
- 35:54Speaker 3: some reason were so like just I think fried.
- 35:56Speaker 4: They thought, okay, that's gonna be easier than like bumping,
- 35:59Speaker 4: and then they were like ruined everybody's weekend, like they
- 36:01Speaker 4: couldn't even walk.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, Andrew e Hurst, what's the biggest crowd pop
- 36:10Speaker 2: you guys got during developmental?
- 36:12Speaker 1: Interesting question, Not many people there to get a big pop.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Maybe winning the tag.
- 36:17Speaker 4: Titles, winning the titles as six flags.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Bigger.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a bigger winning the deep sub titles
- 36:25Speaker 3: the second time at that the Jackson High School because
- 36:28Speaker 3: that's very close to Gallow's house.
- 36:29Speaker 1: That's why I know that, But it doesn't something weird happened.
- 36:32Speaker 1: There were like the Gem and I are supposed to
- 36:35Speaker 1: be in the match or maybe the chance, but that's
- 36:37Speaker 1: that that Black Saturday, they get fired. Yes, so it's
- 36:40Speaker 1: like Regal has to come and it's like legal Dave
- 36:42Speaker 1: Taylor l.
- 36:43Speaker 3: And Dave Taylor versus US versus offa Junior and Sunny
- 36:48Speaker 3: Siaki Weird.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I don't remember that match being like any good.
- 36:53Speaker 3: I remember being good, but I remember like we're the
- 36:54Speaker 3: only baby faces of the crowd popped.
- 36:57Speaker 4: That's all.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Jim and I got fired and developmental though.
- 37:01Speaker 3: But yeah, well they were doing both. I guess they
- 37:04Speaker 3: went back so like they were doing both. That's who
- 37:09Speaker 3: beat us for the wait, don't they beat us for
- 37:12Speaker 3: the tag titles? That's how we lost them the first time?
- 37:17Speaker 3: Maybe remember I don't remember. Did we ever lose them
- 37:19Speaker 3: a second though?
- 37:20Speaker 1: Of course I would have had to belt right now, I.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Know, right?
- 37:23Speaker 1: So who beat this man? I don't that's say it.
- 37:24Speaker 2: I don't know, all right, Joe Ellis, can you tell
- 37:29Speaker 2: us this is an interesting question. Can you tell us
- 37:31Speaker 2: about a moment early in WW or what was the
- 37:34Speaker 2: moment that you said to yourself, Wow, I made it?
- 37:37Speaker 4: Did you?
- 37:37Speaker 2: Did you? There's like, ah, there's the moment you think like,
- 37:41Speaker 2: well it's done when you get signed.
- 37:42Speaker 1: And I don't think it was until the Edgeheads thing,
- 37:45Speaker 1: because the Major brothers were so like, oh my god.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Yeah, we were making no money, which people don't like
- 37:51Speaker 3: find very hard to believe.
- 37:52Speaker 4: But we weren't because.
- 37:55Speaker 3: If you once you you know, minus expenses and stuff like,
- 37:59Speaker 3: the contract was so minimal. Yeah, and we were just
- 38:03Speaker 3: touched to bronze.
- 38:04Speaker 4: No.
- 38:04Speaker 3: The first thing I came to mind when you said
- 38:06Speaker 3: that though, And I don't know. Broski will agree with this.
- 38:09Speaker 3: After Elimination Chamber two thousand and eight in Vegas, Bautista
- 38:14Speaker 3: invited all the boys out to this club and we
- 38:17Speaker 3: had like VIP drinking Cristal all night. He was like
- 38:21Speaker 3: maybe the one and only time I saw a human
- 38:23Speaker 3: actually make it rain Like Batista was like throwing.
- 38:25Speaker 1: A dollars, not only bro I remember he got like
- 38:29Speaker 1: bottles of the champagne right and just picked it up.
- 38:32Speaker 1: They just dumped it out. I danced and dumped it
- 38:35Speaker 1: back into the ice bucket. That's the coolest thing I've
- 38:37Speaker 1: ever seen.
- 38:37Speaker 3: It was like all the boys and it's just like
- 38:39Speaker 3: I did feel like cool at that point, or like,
- 38:42Speaker 3: you know, at least like I had made it. And
- 38:45Speaker 3: then I also saw him sign off on.
- 38:46Speaker 4: The bill that night, and my eyes bugged out of
- 38:48Speaker 4: my head because it was like one third of my
- 38:51Speaker 4: like year.
- 38:54Speaker 2: And back to the money thing. So you guys, you
- 38:56Speaker 2: said you were making five hundred.
- 38:57Speaker 4: A week right in developmental, So that.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Is twenty six thousand a year, which is I mean,
- 39:05Speaker 2: even with inflation, is a starting an entry level position.
- 39:08Speaker 3: And then we got called up and people don't believe this,
- 39:11Speaker 3: but our main roster road contracts were seventy five thousand.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Well, first it's fifty two.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Oh you're right, it's fifty two. And that's minus hotels,
- 39:20Speaker 3: car like all that stuff. So we're make almost like
- 39:23Speaker 3: less than Deep South and the Edge Shed thing basically
- 39:25Speaker 3: just saved our our lives and.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Careers because it adds dates and bigger space dates.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Didn't change the contract. But it's a downside contract right over. Yeah,
- 39:34Speaker 1: but it's the whole contracting is confusing because yes, it's
- 39:37Speaker 1: your downside, but the amount you get paid is based
- 39:40Speaker 1: on your downside number, you know what I'm saying.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, if they I always say this, if they
- 39:46Speaker 3: look at like a Mark Henry contract that's got like,
- 39:48Speaker 3: you know, one hundreds of thousands of dollars, they're like, okay,
- 39:49Speaker 3: we have to get Mark on the road and use them.
- 39:51Speaker 3: They're looking at our GABRONI shit, and they're like, oh,
- 39:53Speaker 3: we can leave the major brothers at home because who cares,
- 39:55Speaker 3: we don't know them any money, you know.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Or also what they'll pay you per show because they
- 39:58Speaker 1: want to add up to that number too. Yeah, right,
- 40:02Speaker 1: and it's all like make believe you know what I'm saying,
- 40:04Speaker 1: there's no.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Formula if they want to use it, they'll use it.
- 40:06Speaker 4: They don't. They don't.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Yeah, the money thing is so they're trying to if
- 40:09Speaker 3: they're trying to save some money, that's what they do.
- 40:11Speaker 4: You know.
- 40:12Speaker 2: The weirdest thing is like it's it's arbitrary, like your
- 40:15Speaker 2: spot on the card versus the whatever.
- 40:17Speaker 1: It's so bullshit. So like one year, like I guess
- 40:20Speaker 1: it was maybe two or three years ago, like I
- 40:23Speaker 1: wasn't going to it was like, I just got back
- 40:26Speaker 1: from the my knee injury. So what year is that,
- 40:31Speaker 1: twenty seventeen. I just get back and I'm like, we're
- 40:34Speaker 1: not I'm back with Mojoe. We're not really doing anything.
- 40:38Speaker 1: And I have to be like, guys, like we need
- 40:40Speaker 1: to talk about this contract thing because I was making
- 40:42Speaker 1: more money sitting at home injured than I am now
- 40:44Speaker 1: on the road. Because now they weren't bringing to me.
- 40:46Speaker 1: You know, we weren't doing live events. I'm just getting
- 40:47Speaker 1: the whatever, five hundred at SmackDown seven fifty, maybe a thousand,
- 40:51Speaker 1: you know, for one a week. I'm like that's not enough.
- 40:55Speaker 1: So they gave me like a higher downside. But then
- 40:57Speaker 1: by the end of that next year, they weren't using
- 40:59Speaker 1: me enough to get me to that downside, So like
- 41:02Speaker 1: for a raw, i'd get like with a couple of
- 41:05Speaker 1: weeks left in my contract, I would get like six
- 41:07Speaker 1: thousand dollars because now they're trying to add up to
- 41:10Speaker 1: that number, so they're not just giving.
- 41:11Speaker 4: That money anyway, So they don't want to owe you
- 41:13Speaker 4: a pen anymore, you know, well.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Because they don't want to make it seem like they're
- 41:17Speaker 1: giving me a because if I didn't get to that
- 41:18Speaker 1: number at the end of the year, they would have
- 41:20Speaker 1: to just write me a check, you know.
- 41:22Speaker 4: What I'm saying.
- 41:24Speaker 1: So they wanted to get me there so they'll it's
- 41:27Speaker 1: all make believe. Really, I mean, the money is real,
- 41:29Speaker 1: but the way they get there.
- 41:30Speaker 3: And then it's also the way you choose to get paid.
- 41:32Speaker 3: So Broskio always got paid what he got. I like
- 41:36Speaker 3: to get my same weekly check my whole second run there,
- 41:39Speaker 3: so I got the same check every you know, every
- 41:42Speaker 3: week whatever, the same time, same check, And I just
- 41:44Speaker 3: thought it was a little bit more secure way to live.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Sure.
- 41:47Speaker 3: And then in my last run, every time every year,
- 41:50Speaker 3: like my year came up, they my downside was nothing spectacular,
- 41:54Speaker 3: but I'd work so much over it. I would always
- 41:56Speaker 3: get these, Like I'd wake up on one Saturday and
- 41:58Speaker 3: it's like, crazy, deposit be in my you know, direct
- 42:01Speaker 3: deposit all three four years in a row, whatever it was, huh.
- 42:04Speaker 3: So I always went over it and it was like
- 42:06Speaker 3: substantial money.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Wow.
- 42:08Speaker 3: It was like kind of an easy way to save
- 42:09Speaker 3: because it's like you forget about it until it becomes
- 42:12Speaker 3: reality like that.
- 42:13Speaker 4: So I just didn't mind it.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Jonathan Wilhelm Are the rings a lot nicer coming from
- 42:19Speaker 2: developmentals the main roster or are they all kind of the same?
- 42:21Speaker 4: Good question, same exact same, which thank god.
- 42:24Speaker 3: I mean that there were so many things wrong with
- 42:26Speaker 3: Deep South and OVW that have the ring be different.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Dimensions would be like extra stupid, you know what I mean.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Training a sixteen footer and these guys never wrestled before
- 42:36Speaker 3: you get called up and it's twenty, you'd be a mess.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Ww rings though compared to like a good indie ring
- 42:44Speaker 2: or something.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Like that, in my opinion, it's nothing better than a
- 42:47Speaker 1: w ring really.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:49Speaker 1: And the first time I was ever in it, like
- 42:50Speaker 1: I remember going from like corner to corner, I was like,
- 42:52Speaker 1: why am I gonna stop running?
- 42:53Speaker 4: Yeah? Crazy?
- 42:55Speaker 3: Like I think, I mean the creatle ring is the
- 42:57Speaker 3: high Spots eighteen footer and it's I think.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Like I have trouble running in an eighteen foot ring, dude,
- 43:03Speaker 1: because I.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Remember when I got fired the first time. In that
- 43:07Speaker 3: two years, I think I only worked in the twenty
- 43:09Speaker 3: foot or once, and.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I was working every weekend, right, yeah, And I.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Remember doing like a rope running spot and it's something
- 43:14Speaker 3: where I was like the middle guy, like the one
- 43:15Speaker 3: doing like the leap prog whatever, and I just felt
- 43:17Speaker 3: like I was waiting for this guy to come, like
- 43:19Speaker 3: he was running like down the aisle, but it was
- 43:21Speaker 3: just in the ropes. It was just so much bigger
- 43:22Speaker 3: than that because you're just always in these eighteens and sixteens.
- 43:25Speaker 2: It's just on the sixteen, and you were fifty percent
- 43:27Speaker 2: of your matches in a sixteen with them Pat Bucks thing.
- 43:30Speaker 4: Oh yeah, the wrestleber ring sixteen it's too small.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I think the only restapurer Alaska that's sixteen.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Oh no, I don't know. It depends because they're not
- 43:39Speaker 2: using the restle ring, that's for sure.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it's an Alaska ring, but I can't remember.
- 43:43Speaker 2: What's it called. I think I only was in a
- 43:45Speaker 2: twenty foot ring like doing practice matches for the WWE.
- 43:48Speaker 2: It was like the only time I've ever been in one.
- 43:50Speaker 4: You know what he had the Uh what's that promotion?
- 43:54Speaker 3: Like down and I want to say, like delaware that
- 43:56Speaker 3: only like Barton kept work.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Oh mcw no right coo ring aw has like a
- 44:05Speaker 2: custom ring. Did you know that they have like bigger aprons?
- 44:08Speaker 4: I do. I heard that that's true and it's higher
- 44:11Speaker 4: a little higher, right, I'm sure High Spots makes those
- 44:13Speaker 4: for them or something.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's interesting, cool, Alan Hetzel. Uh what is the
- 44:20Speaker 2: thing you both really miss about those days?
- 44:24Speaker 1: I don't miss much, if anything about OVW about I mean,
- 44:30Speaker 1: I didn't make like a couple like like Cabana, but
- 44:33Speaker 1: I don't know, uh deep South I do. It was
- 44:37Speaker 1: that was like my college because yes I was going
- 44:39Speaker 1: to community college, but it was like I was living
- 44:41Speaker 1: at home. This was me like moving away from home,
- 44:44Speaker 1: you know, getting that five hundred dollars, which I thought
- 44:45Speaker 1: it was like a million dollars. To me, it felt
- 44:47Speaker 1: like five million dollars a week, like just it was unbelievable,
- 44:51Speaker 1: Like having my own place and going out and drinking,
- 44:53Speaker 1: not to listen to my parents, and then going to
- 44:55Speaker 1: wrestle every day, and yes it was hard and blah
- 44:57Speaker 1: blah blah. But after it was hard, we'd all go
- 44:59Speaker 1: out to eat together and it was such a small,
- 45:01Speaker 1: tight knit group. It was like compared to like NXT
- 45:05Speaker 1: that has hundreds of people, I think there might have
- 45:08Speaker 1: been thirty.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Yeah right, maybe it was only like there was only
- 45:13Speaker 3: like four women, you know what I mean. Nothing, So
- 45:16Speaker 3: it has to be all that the camaraderie, you know.
- 45:18Speaker 3: And I think, like to the end of time, if
- 45:20Speaker 3: I see a Deep South person, we're still like kindred
- 45:23Speaker 3: spirits because of it, you know what I mean, Because
- 45:25Speaker 3: you had to be there to truly understand how nuts
- 45:27Speaker 3: it was.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Well, how about no responsibility too, like no kids.
- 45:32Speaker 4: Yeah, but I had that up until a couple of
- 45:34Speaker 4: years ago, you know what I mean.
- 45:35Speaker 3: I was limited queens hanging out, partying and going to bars.
- 45:39Speaker 3: I was just doing it with my girlfriend who became
- 45:41Speaker 3: my wife, you know.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Marcus Evida, if you were in your twenties and
- 45:46Speaker 2: starting your wrestling career in present day, would you rather
- 45:50Speaker 2: be signed to NXT or continue to earn your craft
- 45:52Speaker 2: in the indies.
- 45:54Speaker 1: So it's all it really depends on how they're going
- 45:57Speaker 1: to use you, because there's some guys like I was
- 45:59Speaker 1: just talking to else, there's like some people who've been obed.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I've been an NXC for like five plus years,
- 46:05Speaker 1: have never done a thing, you know, and like what's
- 46:07Speaker 1: gonna happen If they don't get used, They're gonna be
- 46:09Speaker 1: released and then then what like they never became a
- 46:11Speaker 1: name in an XT, so they gonna have no equity.
- 46:14Speaker 1: They gonna like maybe they have like a decent salary,
- 46:16Speaker 1: but I doubt it. It's not like they have like
- 46:18Speaker 1: millions saved.
- 46:19Speaker 3: I mean, the whole business and the business will always
- 46:21Speaker 3: be this way. It's a bet on yourself kind of scenario, right,
- 46:24Speaker 3: you know. Yeah, So the problem with Indy's for me
- 46:29Speaker 3: right now is that it's just so depleted because everyone's
- 46:32Speaker 3: so hungry for talent with all you know, these the
- 46:35Speaker 3: bigger promotions that they don't let these people like marinate
- 46:39Speaker 3: and kind of find themselves or even get a little
- 46:42Speaker 3: buzz anymore. Like I mean, you have an ounce of buzz,
- 46:44Speaker 3: you're getting signed so to somebody, you know, whether it's
- 46:48Speaker 3: RHMLW impact, you know, not just any w a NXT.
- 46:52Speaker 3: So it's tough you know, and and then to the
- 46:55Speaker 3: end of time, wrestling's gonna be a bet on yourself scenario.
- 46:57Speaker 3: You know, you have to bet on yourself where you
- 47:00Speaker 3: see yourself working out, you know.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, and yeah, I think that we and we
- 47:05Speaker 2: talked about it a lot. I mean in a wrestling
- 47:07Speaker 2: school with a bunch of people trying to make it,
- 47:09Speaker 2: the conversations are always like, well, where do you think
- 47:11Speaker 2: that you would fit the most? And it would be
- 47:13Speaker 2: this promotion or that promotion or staying on D and
- 47:15Speaker 2: D's or you know that kind of thing. So it
- 47:17Speaker 2: really depends on the person too. Michael Lupuma, is it
- 47:21Speaker 2: hard for you guys to adjust to different ring sizes?
- 47:23Speaker 2: But we just talked about that.
- 47:24Speaker 3: Yes it is, Yeah, for sure, it's definitely always It's
- 47:28Speaker 3: not like going to ruin a match, but it's awkward.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Yeah, especially that first time Enrique de la Reva. Is
- 47:35Speaker 2: there a particular moment either of your careers up to
- 47:38Speaker 2: that point you can say meant more to you in
- 47:41Speaker 2: that particular moment while it was happening, like a compliment
- 47:44Speaker 2: from a legend or a praise from your peers.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Yeah, whole things suck.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Maybe the reverse of that question like something that men.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Might have said this on another episode. But there was
- 47:59Speaker 3: some production meeting around the time where we like eventually
- 48:02Speaker 3: got the tag tiles in WW, and I remember Ricky
- 48:05Speaker 3: Steamboat saying that fit stood up in the meeting and
- 48:07Speaker 3: said that we because we had been working him a
- 48:09Speaker 3: lot in the live events, and he said that like
- 48:11Speaker 3: we have it, like these guys are good and like
- 48:12Speaker 3: he goes he said something like Finley gave you his
- 48:15Speaker 3: stamp of approval and that that's a big deal.
- 48:18Speaker 4: You know. I remember, think that was pretty cool.
- 48:21Speaker 3: That's not a guy who throws compliments around and he
- 48:24Speaker 3: and technically he didn't, you know.
- 48:25Speaker 1: He throws head bands around playing Yeah, it.
- 48:28Speaker 4: Wasn't a company, he said to us.
- 48:29Speaker 2: But sorry for that story. No, I love that Connor Price.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Which trainer did Brian learn the most from and how
- 48:37Speaker 2: they how did they influence his own teaching style? I
- 48:41Speaker 2: think I know the answer to that.
- 48:43Speaker 3: I think my teacher styles completely ripped off from doctor
- 48:46Speaker 3: Tom because I think he, at least in the developmental environment,
- 48:51Speaker 3: he has had the most figured out.
- 48:53Speaker 2: You know, and you were doctor Tom in FCW.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Yeah, so I got I got a couple of months
- 48:57Speaker 3: of Doctor Tom and Deep South, and then when closes
- 49:01Speaker 3: and then you know, I eventually got the f saving
- 49:02Speaker 3: out a full year of Doctor Towm.
- 49:04Speaker 2: So you get to FZ. Oh so you okay, all right,
- 49:07Speaker 2: but when he starts teaching, are you kind of like, oh,
- 49:10Speaker 2: this is great.
- 49:12Speaker 3: I just would just soak it up and realize, like,
- 49:15Speaker 3: this is what I think. The repetition in wrestling is
- 49:20Speaker 3: what really like, you know, having solid fundamentals is going
- 49:23Speaker 3: to keep you safe and keep you healthy. It's like
- 49:26Speaker 3: the repetition of doing these some of these drills where
- 49:28Speaker 3: you're almost on like autopilot, you know, so you're not
- 49:32Speaker 3: your mind's not racing a mile a minute and you
- 49:34Speaker 3: could truly be be your character and get lost and
- 49:37Speaker 3: things like that. I think that is really helpful. So
- 49:41Speaker 3: that's why I liked all that stuff that Doctor Tom
- 49:43Speaker 3: would do, like drills like that, or and you train
- 49:46Speaker 3: and do these drills that are so physically exhausting that
- 49:49Speaker 3: it goes above and beyond actual pro wrestling match. So
- 49:51Speaker 3: a pro wrestling match becomes cake, even though it is
- 49:54Speaker 3: a very difficult athletic thing. But you've you've went above
- 49:57Speaker 3: and beyond in your training, so you come back down
- 49:59Speaker 3: and matches like, oh, okay, this is easy, I can
- 50:02Speaker 3: handle this.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent agree with you.
- 50:04Speaker 3: And then I've always said this, and I mean, if
- 50:07Speaker 3: this is back to Bill and Al, I don't really care.
- 50:11Speaker 3: I always felt like Bill and Al still wanted that run,
- 50:15Speaker 3: they wanted to be on Raw, they wanted to be
- 50:17Speaker 3: the Icy champ, and they still had that in them.
- 50:19Speaker 3: And I don't blame it for him, Like I still
- 50:21Speaker 3: have that in me too, and that's why I still
- 50:24Speaker 3: am a wrestler. But Doctor Tom did not. Doctor Tom
- 50:27Speaker 3: was there to purely help the guys and get them
- 50:30Speaker 3: ready to get up and succeed, you know, in the
- 50:32Speaker 3: big show, whereas like they just had that little bit
- 50:35Speaker 3: still in them, And it's hard to help others when
- 50:37Speaker 3: you're you still want it.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Interesting. I've never even heard you say that, James Zimbickie.
- 50:45Speaker 2: I know it isn't really developmental question, but when you
- 50:48Speaker 2: both went back to the newer NXT, were you expected
- 50:51Speaker 2: to do the same classes or since you were talent
- 50:54Speaker 2: from Raw and SmackDown, did you have to do the
- 50:57Speaker 2: NXT classes.
- 50:58Speaker 4: I did not have to do any classes, did you ever?
- 51:01Speaker 3: Even you never even went to one? Right, never like
- 51:04Speaker 3: you motors are just the team and that was it.
- 51:06Speaker 3: Never never had to go Did you ever explain another episode?
- 51:09Speaker 3: I was in Billy Gun's class, and it was actually
- 51:11Speaker 3: a very awesome experience, pretty enjoyable for me.
- 51:16Speaker 2: You just popped in when you were down there to
- 51:18Speaker 2: do something, right.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I had it. I was sent there
- 51:21Speaker 3: like I had to go Monday through Friday.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Oh right, yes, And and Brosky, you when you guys
- 51:28Speaker 2: would work on stuff, you didn't you never went to
- 51:30Speaker 2: the PC to just try some stuff.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
- 51:33Speaker 3: No, I'd have to work And now you know why
- 51:35Speaker 3: the eyebrows were so successful.
- 51:37Speaker 1: No, we we did the live of it. I think
- 51:39Speaker 1: there's no you can practically, it's not about moves, right,
- 51:43Speaker 1: it's not so like the only way to get the
- 51:45Speaker 1: experience and to get the chemistry is by having real
- 51:48Speaker 1: matches with real people. That's that's way we did, not
- 51:51Speaker 1: the only way. Okay, that's the best way, the best way.
- 51:53Speaker 1: But so why why even do the other ways? If
- 51:55Speaker 1: you're gonna only only do the best way?
- 51:57Speaker 4: That stuff you can go over at the bill for two.
- 52:00Speaker 1: So yeah, it's not what am I gonna go do?
- 52:02Speaker 1: Double hip tosses like give me a break, like come on,
- 52:06Speaker 1: and don't get me wrong, Mojo tried to get me
- 52:08Speaker 1: to go but uh uh uh uh.
- 52:12Speaker 2: I don't know about this question. But C J. Martin
- 52:14Speaker 2: sorry for this one. Gotta blame watching too much. Johnny
- 52:17Speaker 2: Swinger for this question. Which territory had the bet.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Riz ats non existent in both? Sandy Press, I had
- 52:26Speaker 1: a girlfriend in both. I remember there was one, uh
- 52:30Speaker 1: in Deep South and I don't know if I called her. Oh,
- 52:34Speaker 1: we can't tell the story.
- 52:35Speaker 2: Actually, Okay, Yeah, moving on Sandy Press, who was a
- 52:39Speaker 2: legend or star?
- 52:40Speaker 3: You looked up with that chick who worked at the
- 52:42Speaker 3: Caprice sun factory And me and Command used to be like,
- 52:44Speaker 3: did you get the hook up with those Caprice sons
- 52:46Speaker 3: or what?
- 52:51Speaker 4: Who was a legend or it's a perk bro free
- 52:54Speaker 4: Caprice son.
- 52:55Speaker 1: I remember.
- 52:55Speaker 3: We just thought that was the weirdest thing. She was like, yeah,
- 52:57Speaker 3: I work at a Price Sun factory.
- 53:00Speaker 2: You kind of have mentioned a lot of people, but
- 53:02Speaker 2: if there was any extra people who was a legendar
- 53:05Speaker 2: star at the time that was really looking out for
- 53:07Speaker 2: the younger talent, if any at all. So you Bobby's
- 53:09Speaker 2: had mentioned doctor Tom and.
- 53:13Speaker 1: In Deep South everyone was there to get on TV.
- 53:16Speaker 1: So like there were guys who came down like gangrel,
- 53:18Speaker 1: like Henry Godwin, but they were looking for that second
- 53:21Speaker 1: run too.
- 53:21Speaker 4: They were helpful. They were very helpful and helpful.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but they were.
- 53:25Speaker 3: Looking to get that that that flash funk flash funk yeah.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Deep South, Yeah, trying to get that jumpstart.
- 53:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:33Speaker 2: Uh wrestling World of Buzz. But with some two cold
- 53:37Speaker 2: Scorpio this week.
- 53:38Speaker 3: Yeah what a character Michael. I mean might have said
- 53:41Speaker 3: this in another episode, but it's worth repeating. There was
- 53:44Speaker 3: this random ass day and the deathbed of Deep South.
- 53:46Speaker 3: It was when Scorpio was there, and then we came
- 53:48Speaker 3: in and Jody Hamilton and I guess DDP went way
- 53:51Speaker 3: back from like you know, the power Plant days and stuff,
- 53:54Speaker 3: and he's like DDE Pacer here and you guys are
- 53:55Speaker 3: gonna do yoga with him. This was like very early
- 53:57Speaker 3: in DDP yoga. I was like this big and we're
- 54:00Speaker 3: like what and we had a dude, it was better
- 54:03Speaker 3: than bumping. We spent a day of doing DDP yoga
- 54:06Speaker 3: with DDP whatever. But what I remember about that it
- 54:09Speaker 3: was like that Scorpio was like hell nah, and he
- 54:11Speaker 3: like helped Dallas like videotape or like anything, but do.
- 54:16Speaker 4: The yoga like the whole day, which I was like,
- 54:18Speaker 4: what a brother? Now, I love Harney move.
- 54:20Speaker 2: I don't know if you asked who answered this, but
- 54:21Speaker 2: he so he was signed for a limited time and
- 54:25Speaker 2: never made it out of Deep South.
- 54:27Speaker 3: He was just he was a punch man like so
- 54:28Speaker 3: like Broski said, Henry Godmin was in Deep South, and
- 54:31Speaker 3: he was supposed to be like a new version of
- 54:33Speaker 3: the Goblins with Ray Gordy.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Which eventually becomes Festus.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Somehow becomes Jesse and Festus over like many incarnations and
- 54:41Speaker 3: spitballs of ideas and stuff. Then there was Gangrel, like
- 54:47Speaker 3: we might have told this story too, like Gangrel is there.
- 54:49Speaker 3: One day we walk in, I'll never forgot Kevin Matthews goes,
- 54:51Speaker 3: oh wow, Gangrel seminar today, that'd be cool. And then
- 54:55Speaker 3: ten minutes later Bill's calling him a lazy piece of
- 54:57Speaker 3: shit and he's doing drills with us and was like
- 54:59Speaker 3: mind blowing.
- 54:59Speaker 1: It was he was crazy and he couldn't be gang Girl.
- 55:05Speaker 3: He was David Heath, Yeah, yeah, it's very odd, crazy Dave.
- 55:08Speaker 3: And then uh Scorpio came. He was gonna he was
- 55:12Speaker 3: resigned and he was going to be flash Funk again.
- 55:16Speaker 3: And then Brooke Adams and Alicia Alicia Fox are going
- 55:18Speaker 3: to be as funk ats and they even came to
- 55:20Speaker 3: like work on dances and stuff, and it just never materialized.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Wow, I would have love that, Michael Miria.
- 55:28Speaker 3: I think I think all those guys might have got
- 55:30Speaker 3: fired on that Black Saturday that ever got.
- 55:33Speaker 2: Fired, just like the older guys that they have.
- 55:37Speaker 4: Possibly for both guys.
- 55:38Speaker 2: How is Matt as a roommate and how is Brian
- 55:41Speaker 2: as a roommate?
- 55:44Speaker 3: I never I don't know if Brosken say about me,
- 55:46Speaker 3: but I never had an issue with him as a
- 55:47Speaker 3: roommate whatsoever. In a hotel he snores like a like
- 55:53Speaker 3: a maniac, but in his own separate room like never, No,
- 55:57Speaker 3: I never had any I can't even think of one complaint.
- 55:59Speaker 1: You know, even like with Brad Jay, there was no
- 56:02Speaker 1: real issue besides like I don't know, just being boring.
- 56:06Speaker 4: There's nothing.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no real uh yeah, no, no real issue.
- 56:10Speaker 1: And we in both situations, I said, in both situations
- 56:15Speaker 1: in Deep South, we were like opposite areas from the
- 56:19Speaker 1: department or the house. So it was like you know,
- 56:21Speaker 1: you could be hanging out if you want to do
- 56:23Speaker 1: or create distance, you know, because.
- 56:25Speaker 3: We had all the same interests, like you know from
- 56:27Speaker 3: the show, like collecting figures and going on fig hunts
- 56:30Speaker 3: and you know, you go to the gym the same
- 56:32Speaker 3: time every day. Like it really wasn't like this like
- 56:33Speaker 3: drastic departure and like personalities and stuff, you know.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Clinton Johnson, how did each of you develop your finishing
- 56:41Speaker 2: signature moves? Do you have input yourselves or you signed
- 56:45Speaker 2: certain moves by trainers to use? Slash try Interesting? Is
- 56:50Speaker 2: anybody ever going over moves like finishing move? You should
- 56:53Speaker 2: do this move in development?
- 56:55Speaker 1: Do you remember like one day there being like I
- 56:58Speaker 1: don't know, we were learning how to do like spine
- 56:59Speaker 1: busts or something like. It wasn't really liked I think
- 57:02Speaker 1: if we asked, but like I think at that point
- 57:06Speaker 1: you kind of had to know. And yes, there was
- 57:08Speaker 1: definitely days where it was like, all right, this is
- 57:10Speaker 1: how you do headlock takeover. And I remember like I
- 57:13Speaker 1: couldn't do it the way like Bill wanted me to
- 57:15Speaker 1: do it.
- 57:16Speaker 4: The thro style.
- 57:18Speaker 3: What's that the throw style like where it's like you
- 57:20Speaker 3: shift your body weight. Yeah, like yeah, it's like where
- 57:22Speaker 3: It's like it's almost like real Yeah, yeah.
- 57:25Speaker 1: And that's just one of those Bill says the best
- 57:27Speaker 1: it's flavors of ice cream. There is so many different
- 57:28Speaker 1: ways to do things. There's no really right one. What
- 57:32Speaker 1: the one right way?
- 57:33Speaker 3: They'll use that to this day. I tell people like, hey,
- 57:35Speaker 3: this is what I like. But I'm not the be
- 57:38Speaker 3: all end all on pro wrestling. I'm just telling you
- 57:39Speaker 3: what I think is best and what I do.
- 57:42Speaker 4: You know.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Uh, A couple more here, Jack Hodson, who were the
- 57:48Speaker 2: best and worst guest trainers.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Worse, Greg and Robert Gibson. Huh, I said, Vito big Veto.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Yeah those those that's a triad right there. Greg Gania,
- 58:01Speaker 3: who admittedly had he was there in six right, and
- 58:04Speaker 3: he told us he hadn't watch wrestling since the late eighties,
- 58:06Speaker 3: so he was so far gone.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Oh I'll never remember him.
- 58:09Speaker 4: Like the information was insane.
- 58:11Speaker 1: Teaching us we were like how to say extra learn
- 58:14Speaker 1: like these ridiculous punches in the corner, and then like
- 58:17Speaker 1: Bill's like forget everything you just learned. I'm like, then
- 58:19Speaker 1: why are we doing this?
- 58:20Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 58:21Speaker 3: Same thing with Robert Gibson, Like you know, it was
- 58:24Speaker 3: like just his way and that was it, you know,
- 58:26Speaker 3: and another one that you know, not that he hasn't
- 58:29Speaker 3: had a wonderful career and did amazing things. It's just
- 58:32Speaker 3: like what he did is not going to work for
- 58:34Speaker 3: like the majority of like teaching the.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Masses, you know.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Yeah, and then big vit'll forget about it that it
- 58:42Speaker 3: was pointless to listen to him.
- 58:48Speaker 4: What was that best was also on there?
- 58:50Speaker 3: Yeah, Norman Smiley, doctor Tom for sure.
- 58:55Speaker 1: I remember Bruce Pritcher coming down and like it was
- 58:57Speaker 1: just talking, but it was.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Very very help Richard would give the same speech, but
- 59:00Speaker 3: it was a very motivating and informative speech.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Yeah, saying like the nation was meant for Dlo Brown
- 59:07Speaker 1: like the rock took it, you know, very like yeah,
- 59:11Speaker 1: kind of grab the brass wearing type speech.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, we literally have three more, so let's
- 59:18Speaker 2: slam through these Mark vicksinitch. Is it hard to trust
- 59:22Speaker 2: someone in the ring when you're first starting out? Did
- 59:23Speaker 2: you have any experiences where someone lost your trust when training?
- 59:29Speaker 3: Not situation, but just sometimes in devilopmentally you're doing with
- 59:33Speaker 3: such green dudes and big strong athletes from another world
- 59:37Speaker 3: that like you're just in bad situations, like you know,
- 59:42Speaker 3: teaching people wrestling who've never seen wrestling and don't have
- 59:45Speaker 3: a passion for wrestling is a bad scenario.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, hell yeah, yeah there was always There's always
- 59:51Speaker 2: guys that I don't know. I mean, when you get signed,
- 59:53Speaker 2: you're probably pretty good, but there's people in your class
- 59:56Speaker 2: that you just don't want to do drills with. They're
- 59:59Speaker 2: going to spit in you or aren't you.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: One of the unique unique things I think about Creative
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Pro is that I'm like very involved, like physically because
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: I need the workout too. Like I'm an active pro
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: wrestler in the prime my career here right, and I
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: selfishly need the workout. So and now as I'm getting older, man,
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: and I used to just do whatever, like you know,
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: especially when Creative I first open, that original class literally
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: got like probably the best of me because I was
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: just in there, like sweating it out, bumping my ass
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: off for these kids, you know. And now I'm like,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: sometimes I survey what's going on. I go, nope, I
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: can't let this dude who's been here for three weeks drop.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: Me on my head. Yeah yeah, hell yeah.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: I'll kind of a kfabe something or you know, tell
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: someone else to do it.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: I even gomez our boots or wrestling shoes better for
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: a ring work.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Here's a funny thing. So Bill made us wear boots,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: which I listen, I don't mind that, practice like you play.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: I think, I don't mind that. I love it.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: So I was used to training, you know, in NWC
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: with my wrestling shoes, right, and I remember, so I'd
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: only wear my boots what like once a month, twice
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: a month, and I had high spots boots. So then
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: once we had to wear the boots, I remember both
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: souls like cracked in half within a week of just
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: like drills, jails jails, jails, jails, l's jails.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I bet my stage coach boot said I could
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: go get out of my garage and put on right
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: now and working them's still good to go.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: So but even now to this day, if I were
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: to go to train at create a Pro or flat
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: backs or whatever, I would wear boots. I would not
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: do it, and sneakers or shoes.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: He said, practice like you play. So does it make
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: any sense to train in wrestling shoes and then you
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: work in boots? He's right, doesn't make any sense.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Bill, listen, I don't want people to think that we
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: didn't like Bill the way he taught us. I am
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: so grateful for Bill, and I think he made us
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: the men we are and and we on fuck with able.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Like Brian said, I think a couple episodes ago.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: It was a Bill because Bill was just a maniac. Yeah.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: How about that kid who wanted to train with his
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: shoes off?
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: Yo?
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: What is that I created? Proud?
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: Yeah he is?
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: He like casting text me a couple of weeks ago
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: and like we have a cap trainers like group chat.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: He's like this kid trains barefoot and pattern are like,
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: who no, well he said that he he said, they
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: said it was okay. I'm like, I never told anyone
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: they could train barefoot. And the Bat's like me neither.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: So I don't know what he talked about was like
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: telling me but his fucking shoes back.
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: Just the thought of that, I want to why would
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: you want to know? It's crazy?
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Last question the ryman, in what ways did signing with
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: WW change your collection.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Give me more money to buy more?
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean yeah, I didn't have to caddy at
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: a country club to pay for figures anymore.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: Like I was able in developmental we didn't get anything
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: for free. We uh you know.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: I was able to get I was able to buy
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: like that l JN Mint set hasbro mint set. Like
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: not to say like money was no, like like there was.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: It wasn't like so plentiful, but like at the same time,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: we were like, like twenty twenty one years old, what
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: real expenses did we have?
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: So to get five hundred bucks, we're not even real
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: wrestlers because we don't have road expenses.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: We're just literally paying like rent.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. My first job
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: out of college was sixteen thousan an hour, which is
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: about thirty thousand a year, which is the same as
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: you guys. And I more I thought I was a
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: shit any video game system whatever.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that's how I and I used to The only
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: other job I ever had was being a caddy, and
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: I was just horrendous at it, like a hate off
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: to this day because of it and whatever. But I
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: would just be out there like daydreaming, like calculating like
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: I'm gonna get eighty bucks or this, and like jaiting juting,
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: like figuring out like Okay, that new R three set
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: is uh yeah, Nitro's come to the coliseum.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: It's gonna be close.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: Like I literally like was just doing that and then
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: with a regular, steady paycheck of Deep South, that's like
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: I didn't really have to do that anymore.
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: But it also taught me about like, oh, you have
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: to pay taxes at the end of the year. Like
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: you don't get to keep all this money, you know,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: because you're independent contractors technically, so like you got to
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: give a big chunk of change to the taxman. And
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: the more money you make, the more you gotta give.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: That was something that Mikey said to us about taxes
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: that I just never didn't register till much later on.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: Right. I don't know if you remember this.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: I remember one time we were Mikey and we did
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: a show and we were at the gas station and
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: then you know sometimes people leave their receipt in there
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: in the gas thing. Yeah, he pulled it out and
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: put in his pocket. I was like, why'd you do that?
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: And he's like, so I can uses the tax right off.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: That's smart.
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I was like thinking about it, like I guess I
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I for like the maybe the first three years, actually
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: kept receipts and then I realized, wait a minute, it's
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: on the credit card. Yeah, and now like my Bank
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: of America automatically like categorizes it. Yes, oh my god,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: like my receipt the whole.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Second run with WB.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: I just have one MX that I use for me
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: as an independent contractor, like whatever, you know, and it's
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: just done.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: It does itself.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: I used to just have shoe boxes full of receipts
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: on all the stupid ship.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Yeah, unbelievable, unbelievable. But I also don't use cash now,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: so like for it's not like I'm going out back
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: and using cash where I need to keep that receipt.
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: If I'm using cash, it's for something that like I'm
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: not gonna be able to write off anyway, A shady
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: toy deal with it, you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: I don't think I could. I don't think I can
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: write off these PSA graded cards. You know, maybe I can,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: I don't know, but I'm not gonna ask, you know,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: for a receipt.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Right, all right, Well that'll do it for developmental.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: And I'm sure we'll come back to it. I'm sure
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: there's stuff we missed, but let's.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: No more to talk about.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: So if you guys are loving these, it's yeah, unbelievably
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: easy for me to talk about that.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Maybe do you want to put it? We could put
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: a poll in the group. Do we move on to?
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: I think?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: I think we move on and then come back. I
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: think we move on to Major Brothers right before Edgeheads.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I would really talk about there about Major brother Edgeheads?
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Why why not? Wasn't it a year run?
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: I also come back and like to do one with
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: with Gallows or like with Heath.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Yeah, by the way, you can buy some great DVDs.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: I was present for the one that Brian did with
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Jenny Omega and Sammy Callahan. Brian had a show on
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: High Spots called Developmentally Speaking, where he interviewed different wrestlers
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: about developmental So it's literally the same thing. So some
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: great stuff there that would be cool if we had
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: I think that these are the gems of the Patreon thing,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: and it's only in Heart Foundation, so a lot of
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: people are missing out, but these are these, These are great.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: So let's let's do Major Brothers into Edgeheads.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: But next time, how long is that Major Brothers? One year?
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: Because I have a million questions.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: So I think Major Brothers could be. I think Major
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Bus be.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: To December, but I want to know, like, what was
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: it like on the I have so many road questions,
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: like going from developmental to the w.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Let's let's let's do it next time. Major Brothers.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Slow it down. Yeah, let's Major Brothers first getting called
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: up to the big show that's coming next month to
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: our foundation.
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: Thanks for joining us, everybody, were the times
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: Busts
