- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from Israel, and this is a special edition of.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Sharing Good Evening. I'm Good Evening. I'm coming to you
- 0:11Speaker 2: live from Jerusalem.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Israel is at war, and there was a stark reminder
- 0:16Speaker 3: of that overnight when on the anniversary of the October
- 0:19Speaker 3: seven attacks, Israel was targeted with missiles in the south
- 0:24Speaker 3: north and.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Over Tel Aviv.
- 0:27Speaker 3: We were in an open field doing an interview when
- 0:30Speaker 3: one missile was launched, and I'm going to tell you
- 0:33Speaker 3: more about that dramatic moment later. I've got another very
- 0:37Speaker 3: special show tonight, a big interview with former Israeli Prime
- 0:41Speaker 3: Minister Ehud Olmit.
- 0:43Speaker 2: He says it's time for.
- 0:45Speaker 3: The war to end and reveals that his sources tell
- 0:48Speaker 3: him the Hamas leader could be dead now his a
- 0:53Speaker 3: rival to Nettan Yahoo, so he has a different view
- 0:56Speaker 3: on how the war.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Should play out.
- 0:58Speaker 3: He also takes a subt or dig at our own
- 1:01Speaker 3: Prime Minister, Anthony Albanezi. I've also got tonight an incredible
- 1:06Speaker 3: story of two young women who were hunted down by
- 1:10Speaker 3: hermas at the Nova Music Festival and miraculously survived.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Four hundred were killed that day.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Also on the show, family members of the nine month
- 1:21Speaker 3: old baby taken hostage in Gaza speak to me sharing
- 1:26Speaker 3: their hope that baby Kafa and brother Ariel are still alive.
- 1:31Speaker 3: And Israeli politician Sharen Haskell will join me live here
- 1:35Speaker 3: in Jerusalem along with distinguished veteran of the Prime Minister's Office,
- 1:39Speaker 3: Danny Seaman. This is a special week of programming from Israel,
- 1:44Speaker 3: and you don't want to miss any of it. Well, first,
- 1:48Speaker 3: let's start with the beautiful vigils that took place around
- 1:51Speaker 3: the world to remember the October seven massacre. In Sydney,
- 1:56Speaker 3: twelve thousand people gathered in Dover Heights where Peter day
- 2:00Speaker 3: And has been widely praised for his powerful speech.
- 2:04Speaker 4: We are on the side of civilization over barbarity, and
- 2:08Speaker 4: that is why every Australian, drawing on their instinct of
- 2:12Speaker 4: decency and affair go must join with Jewish Australians to
- 2:16Speaker 4: reject the anti Semitism.
- 2:18Speaker 2: That is real leadership.
- 2:21Speaker 3: In Melbourne, eight thousand came together an individual where Zionist
- 2:25Speaker 3: Victoria President Yossi Goldfarb said anti Semitism had been allowed
- 2:30Speaker 3: to fester under weak leadership.
- 2:33Speaker 5: There is a permissiveness that has led anti Semitism fester
- 2:38Speaker 5: a permissiveness encouraged by weak and.
- 2:41Speaker 6: Ambiguous expositions of our foreign policy.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Would have known that the Prime Minister was in the
- 2:49Speaker 3: audience now, I'm told the event ran around two hours overtime,
- 2:54Speaker 3: perhaps punishment for Albinizi, who couldn't possibly have left early
- 2:58Speaker 3: and had to sit through.
- 2:59Speaker 2: All the criticism.
- 3:01Speaker 3: But after all the aggressive pro Hamas protests we've seen,
- 3:06Speaker 3: where hatred and terror is celebrated, it's such a contrast
- 3:10Speaker 3: to see these beautiful, peaceful events. They were attended by
- 3:15Speaker 3: both Jews and Christian Australians standing in solidarity against evil.
- 3:22Speaker 3: The major memorial event in Israel was held in Tel Aviv,
- 3:26Speaker 3: organized by the families who lost loved ones.
- 3:30Speaker 2: A year ago.
- 3:31Speaker 3: No politicians invited. This was a people's event. They were
- 3:35Speaker 3: meant to be around fifty thousand attending, but fears of
- 3:39Speaker 3: a strike against Israel meant it was closed to the public. Instead,
- 3:45Speaker 3: only the family and friends of those who were murdered
- 3:48Speaker 3: were there, and the event was beamed across Israel to millions.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Many gathered in parks to mourn together, and Israel was
- 3:58Speaker 3: on high alert yesterday, and it turned out there was
- 4:01Speaker 3: good reason for that. There were three attacks targeting central
- 4:05Speaker 3: Israel on this sacred day of the October seventh anniversary.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Security was tight at this peaceful memorial event, and as
- 4:16Speaker 3: it was getting underway, I was speaking with a father
- 4:20Speaker 3: who'd lost four family members at Kibbutzbery.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Suddenly there were sirens.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Yemen was attacking Israel with a surface missile.
- 4:30Speaker 2: And here's how that unfolded. Is that lucky or you?
- 4:35Speaker 7: Did you have it locked?
- 4:38Speaker 8: No?
- 4:38Speaker 9: We didn't.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Are you still filming, Chris? Okay, we're hearing sirens overhead.
- 4:47Speaker 3: We've just been told to get down on the ground
- 4:49Speaker 3: and cover our heads, which is what we're doing. We're
- 4:52Speaker 3: at the memorial ceremony for those who lost their lives
- 4:55Speaker 3: on the October seven attack a year ago and hasn't
- 4:58Speaker 3: even started yet, and the siren rates have gone off.
- 5:01Speaker 2: This means there's an incoming rocket.
- 5:03Speaker 3: We've all been told to get down and put our
- 5:05Speaker 3: hands in our heads. Something did you expect this tonight?
- 5:12Speaker 5: We expected won't open, but we knew it could happen.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Siren sounded at one hundred and ninety three locations around Israel,
- 5:24Speaker 3: and families had to bunker down.
- 5:26Speaker 2: In bomb shelters.
- 5:28Speaker 3: The Iron Dome thankfully intercepted the missile, but if Israel
- 5:32Speaker 3: didn't have such a sophisticated defense system, the death toll
- 5:37Speaker 3: would be unimaginable.
- 5:39Speaker 2: The frailty of life.
- 5:40Speaker 3: In Israel is all too real for those whose family
- 5:44Speaker 3: members were murdered or taken hostage.
- 5:47Speaker 2: A year ago, I spoke with the family of baby
- 5:51Speaker 2: Kafir and Ariel.
- 5:53Speaker 3: They became a heartbreaking symbol of October seven, bewildered, terrify
- 6:00Speaker 3: fight as they were taken hostage while in their mother's
- 6:03Speaker 3: arms one year on their faith unknown, their family desperate
- 6:10Speaker 3: for answers.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Do you believe they're still alive?
- 6:15Speaker 5: I just can hope so, because we are well, we
- 6:18Speaker 5: all saw what happened in the tunnels. That are not eating,
- 6:23Speaker 5: that are not vaccinated, have no condition to live there.
- 6:28Speaker 5: I hopefully, I'm hopefully praying that they that will be
- 6:32Speaker 5: all right, because maybe the children, maybe somebody that has children,
- 6:37Speaker 5: maybe they are pity for them and will treat them.
- 6:40Speaker 10: But I don't know.
- 6:41Speaker 5: We are we are dealing here with our terror organization.
- 6:45Speaker 3: There are reports that they might not be with Hamas,
- 6:48Speaker 3: that they might actually be with another terrorist group in Gaza.
- 6:52Speaker 5: That's what we heard. That's what you do. In the beginning,
- 6:55Speaker 5: it was that they was taken by another group of terror.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Baby ka the world's youngest hostage.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Yeah, you can see him here.
- 7:04Speaker 7: It was I was the picture here.
- 7:08Speaker 3: What's your message to the international community.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Help us, please? There is no time for them a
- 7:14Speaker 5: year in captivity. Nobody can understand that. And what is
- 7:19Speaker 5: purting a pressure on us? Put the pressure on all
- 7:21Speaker 5: the other countries. Open your eyes. I can I can't
- 7:24Speaker 5: understand that it is not baby is kidnapped. Baby, it's
- 7:30Speaker 5: not a soldier, it's not a pilot, it's not everything.
- 7:33Speaker 5: It's a little baby. Look at him, Look at him.
- 7:37Speaker 5: It was only on his hand. You also the famous
- 7:41Speaker 5: picture of Cherry holding the two children in their arms. Yeah, heartbreaking,
- 7:46Speaker 5: But how can it be How can somebody a man
- 7:51Speaker 5: or I don't know, to take them the mother with
- 7:55Speaker 5: the two sons together, Adam, they are monsters, not humans.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Everybody should understand what we are dealing here with. And
- 8:04Speaker 5: I don't understand why the what is not that does
- 8:08Speaker 5: not understand.
- 8:09Speaker 3: That monsters to kidnap a nine month old baby, the
- 8:15Speaker 3: Bibber's family there, as you can see, making a desperate
- 8:18Speaker 3: plea through us on sky news for the world to
- 8:21Speaker 3: pay attention and every parent around the world should feel
- 8:26Speaker 3: agony at the thought of a little baby trapped in
- 8:29Speaker 3: the grips of terrorists. I also spoke last night to
- 8:33Speaker 3: the family of twenty year old Nataniel Young, who was
- 8:37Speaker 3: killed while fighting off UMAs in the South.
- 8:41Speaker 11: Matew our Son was one of the first to go
- 8:43Speaker 11: out from that base to try and.
- 8:48Speaker 7: Fight against the terrorists.
- 8:49Speaker 11: They didn't know there were so many of them and
- 8:51Speaker 11: amongst the undergrowth, the undergrowth, I must basically ambushed his
- 8:56Speaker 11: unit there.
- 8:56Speaker 12: Found out halfway through the day that so now had
- 9:00Speaker 12: been taken to a hospital and we didn't know which
- 9:04Speaker 12: hospital where. It gave me relief that first of all,
- 9:07Speaker 12: he wasn't dead and he hadn't been taken hostage, because
- 9:09Speaker 12: at that point we had already heard of some people
- 9:12Speaker 12: had been taken hostage. So we kind of thought, Okay,
- 9:15Speaker 12: so he's broken his leg, it will get better, everything
- 9:19Speaker 12: will be fine. But then we got more worried as
- 9:22Speaker 12: he still wasn't answering his fire drove.
- 9:23Speaker 13: As I'm getting to the hospital, I see the rockets
- 9:26Speaker 13: flying over my head. And when I got to the hospital,
- 9:34Speaker 13: the uh it turned out that I'd got there too
- 9:38Speaker 13: late night, and now had already been had already been
- 9:43Speaker 13: pronounced dead, and you know, I hadn't had the opportunity
- 9:50Speaker 13: to say goodbye to him.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Actress and International Anti Semitism Campaign, and Noah Tishue was
- 9:59Speaker 3: also the memorial, and she spoke of how Hamas folled
- 10:03Speaker 3: Israel and the world into thinking it wanted peace when
- 10:07Speaker 3: the entire time it was planning an attack on Israel.
- 10:13Speaker 14: The entire time they are fortifying underneath Gaza, building tunnels
- 10:18Speaker 14: that are larger than the subway system of New York
- 10:21Speaker 14: City and planning to destroy the state of Israel and
- 10:25Speaker 14: destroy their own people, Yris and more.
- 10:27Speaker 15: Hamas basically sacrificed Gaza.
- 10:30Speaker 14: He knew the devastation that is going to happen, and
- 10:33Speaker 14: he got exactly what he wanted.
- 10:34Speaker 3: There's so much resilience in Israel, this determination to survive,
- 10:39Speaker 3: and no matter people's political opinions, there does seem to
- 10:43Speaker 3: be widespread support to defeat the terrorists. Do you think
- 10:47Speaker 3: that's right?
- 10:47Speaker 2: I think that's one hundred percent right.
- 10:49Speaker 14: And you know why, it's exactly why the same lyrics
- 10:51Speaker 14: of this song, this song is called I Don't have
- 10:54Speaker 14: another country. And the thing is that for the Jewish people,
- 10:58Speaker 14: there is no Plan B. We don't have another country.
- 11:01Speaker 14: They are Jews everywhere in the world. They are accepted
- 11:04Speaker 14: and assimilated in many places in the world. But they
- 11:06Speaker 14: all know that to some extent, the state of Israel
- 11:10Speaker 14: is an insurance policy for every single Jew.
- 11:13Speaker 15: Around the world. And everybody here knows that there are.
- 11:15Speaker 14: Nine million people that live in this country, seven million
- 11:18Speaker 14: Jews and two million Arabs, and they know that there's
- 11:21Speaker 14: no other country. So Iran and its proxy's really miscalculated
- 11:26Speaker 14: the Jews of Israel and really miscalculated the resiliency of
- 11:30Speaker 14: the people who live here.
- 11:31Speaker 3: No, you came on my show right before October seventh
- 11:34Speaker 3: last year and we.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Had a conversation about antisemitism.
- 11:38Speaker 7: We've seen that.
- 11:39Speaker 3: In spades over the past year, and we've seen the
- 11:41Speaker 3: pro Palestinian activists, really pro Hamas activists, because we all
- 11:46Speaker 3: are pro Palestinian, but the pro Hamas activists pretend that.
- 11:50Speaker 2: They're anti Zionists, but that is being anti Jew.
- 11:55Speaker 7: I believe that at.
- 11:57Speaker 14: The moment, a year into October seventh, nobody is misunderstanding
- 12:01Speaker 14: that antisignism is antisemitism. Criticizing of the State of Israel,
- 12:05Speaker 14: criticism of the State of Israel, criticism of Israeli policies
- 12:08Speaker 14: or politicians.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Is completely valid.
- 12:10Speaker 15: There's a lot of discussion on the debate that is
- 12:12Speaker 15: happening in Israel.
- 12:13Speaker 2: That is what a.
- 12:14Speaker 15: Flourishing democracy is about. But denying Israel's.
- 12:17Speaker 14: Right to exist, this disproportionate obsession with the state of Israel,
- 12:21Speaker 14: this attributing the greatest evils in the world to the
- 12:25Speaker 14: single Jewish state in the world. Saying that Israel's committing
- 12:29Speaker 14: a genocide is preposterous. Designism and antisemitism are indistinguishable.
- 12:35Speaker 2: One is the other.
- 12:35Speaker 14: And I do believe that people understand this more now
- 12:38Speaker 14: than they did when I was on your show.
- 12:40Speaker 7: So the lesson we wish we didn't have to learn,
- 12:44Speaker 7: thank you so much now.
- 12:45Speaker 16: I'am s.
- 12:47Speaker 3: No, And the point she makes is absolutely right. How
- 12:52Speaker 3: is it that unprecedented racism against Jews has exploded around
- 12:58Speaker 3: the world in reaction to what is truly a genocide
- 13:01Speaker 3: against israelis a year ago, We've all felt the darkness
- 13:06Speaker 3: of the racism being allowed, at first to fester and
- 13:10Speaker 3: then to explode in our streets, left unchecked by politicians
- 13:15Speaker 3: and law enforcement but seeing the tens of thousands who
- 13:20Speaker 3: did attend the October seven commemorations around Australia and the
- 13:25Speaker 3: world gives us hope that good will prevail. The Jews
- 13:31Speaker 3: are not alone, and that the fight against terror isn't
- 13:35Speaker 3: just a paddle for Israel, but one for democracy, values
- 13:41Speaker 3: and freedom around the world. The barbarity and depravity of
- 13:46Speaker 3: October seven.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Shows us that there's no room for failure. This is
- 13:52Speaker 2: a battle that has to be won. Now.
- 14:00Speaker 3: In breaking news, I can reveal that Prime Minister Benjamin
- 14:04Speaker 3: Netanyahoo and his senior ministers are locked in bunker room
- 14:08Speaker 3: urgent national security talks.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We can presume this is.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Finalizing Israel's strike against Iran after it launched two hundred
- 14:17Speaker 3: missiles against Israel last week. Now, some Israeli politicians are
- 14:23Speaker 3: urging for a strike on Around's nuclear sites, like Sharan Haskell.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Who'll join me life here in a moment.
- 14:30Speaker 3: But others, like my next guest, former Israeli Prime Minister
- 14:34Speaker 3: Ehud Olmitt, don't agree.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Olmert is a fierce rival of Netanyahu's.
- 14:40Speaker 3: He was Israel's twelfth prime minister from two thousand and
- 14:44Speaker 3: six to two thousand and nine, including during the Second
- 14:48Speaker 3: Lebanon War, and here's what he had to say, how
- 15:00Speaker 3: do you see this war playing out?
- 15:03Speaker 1: I think that is about time to end it.
- 15:06Speaker 9: I think that Israel did a great deal in breaking
- 15:12Speaker 9: down the Hamas military power. We destroyed most of the
- 15:20Speaker 9: tunnels that were underground in different parts of the city.
- 15:25Speaker 9: We destroyed most of their military units. Perhaps they are
- 15:31Speaker 9: still here and there a few Hamas fighters, but by
- 15:37Speaker 9: and large, I think to the extent that you can
- 15:40Speaker 9: destroy a terrorist organization hiding in the center of town
- 15:45Speaker 9: with the civilian population and in tunnels without any identified
- 15:52Speaker 9: characteristics that can distinguish them from the population. I think
- 15:58Speaker 9: we've done everything that we can do entirely, and now
- 16:01Speaker 9: the main thing is to bring back the hostages.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Well that's what I was going to ask you, mister Ahmad.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Can the war end until the hostages are home?
- 16:09Speaker 9: If we will not agree to end the war, we
- 16:11Speaker 9: will not have the hostages.
- 16:13Speaker 3: You think they can only come home through a negotiated
- 16:15Speaker 3: cease fire.
- 16:16Speaker 9: Absolutely, to look at it from the point of view
- 16:19Speaker 9: of Sineua, he's a matther.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I hate him as everyone hates him.
- 16:24Speaker 9: But do you expect him to agree to return back
- 16:30Speaker 9: the hostage before he gets what he thinks is the
- 16:34Speaker 9: best for him.
- 16:35Speaker 3: But doesn't that leave him in power and in control.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 16:39Speaker 9: I think that Number one, I think that at this point,
- 16:44Speaker 9: the loss of tens of thousands of his people, the
- 16:49Speaker 9: loss of all of us, all of his weapons, loss
- 16:52Speaker 9: of almost all of his tunnels, the infrastructure, everything that
- 16:57Speaker 9: they built for years and years and years, I think
- 17:00Speaker 9: weakened him dramatically.
- 17:02Speaker 1: If he's still alive, by the way, which I'm not
- 17:04Speaker 1: certain about.
- 17:06Speaker 3: You think he could be dead. Yeah, Israeli intelligence must
- 17:09Speaker 3: know the answer to that.
- 17:10Speaker 9: Yeah, But Israeli intelligence does know the answer, which means
- 17:14Speaker 9: that they haven't tracked him for the last few weeks.
- 17:17Speaker 1: And he hasn't shown any signs of living.
- 17:22Speaker 3: But your confidential sources tell you that he could be dead.
- 17:25Speaker 3: He could be dead, and then there has been no
- 17:28Speaker 3: sign of him in the past.
- 17:29Speaker 1: No for sure, but he could be dead.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Amazing, that's increable.
- 17:34Speaker 9: And so I think that that is what we can
- 17:39Speaker 9: achieve in the military operation, and it doesn't bring the
- 17:43Speaker 9: hostages make so we need to do something excelinary, and
- 17:47Speaker 9: the only thing excelery now is to end the war
- 17:50Speaker 9: and bring them back.
- 17:51Speaker 3: What about Hezblah on the north. So they're not defeated yet,
- 17:54Speaker 3: so shouldn't that military campaign continue?
- 17:57Speaker 1: The question is up to wear.
- 18:01Speaker 9: The main thing that we have to answer ourselves, first
- 18:04Speaker 9: of all is what is the strategy. So you have
- 18:07Speaker 9: to think of an arrangement, the diplomatic process possibly that
- 18:13Speaker 9: will allow them to pull out away from the body,
- 18:22Speaker 9: you know, to across the Titania River and furthermore, and
- 18:25Speaker 9: that will allow us to bring back the people living
- 18:29Speaker 9: in the north to their homes.
- 18:31Speaker 3: We're expecting to see imminently in Israeli retaliation strike on Iran.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Do you agree with that.
- 18:40Speaker 9: Israeli retaliation in Iran is inevitable? It's as simple as
- 18:44Speaker 9: that Iran has attacked as well with approximately two hundred
- 18:51Speaker 9: BAI stick missiles last week. This is not something that
- 18:55Speaker 9: in the context of the Middle East, in the framework
- 18:58Speaker 9: of the principles that characterism, at least not answering that
- 19:04Speaker 9: will be inevitably perceived by the Iranians to be a
- 19:08Speaker 9: short weakness which we trigger more ticts.
- 19:11Speaker 1: On this state of visa.
- 19:13Speaker 3: I'd like to ask you about the United States. We've
- 19:16Speaker 3: got an election coming up. There have been concerns in
- 19:19Speaker 3: the Jewish community that Kamala Harris might not be great
- 19:24Speaker 3: for Israel. Do you have a view on this.
- 19:27Speaker 9: I haven't seen any indication as of yet that she
- 19:31Speaker 9: will not.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Be good for Israel.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Okay. In Australia, while we're on international politics, in Australia,
- 19:38Speaker 3: the Albanesi government has been fairly hostile to Israel over
- 19:43Speaker 3: the past year, in particular. You know how much of
- 19:47Speaker 3: a portrayal is this.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Look. I don't.
- 19:53Speaker 9: I'm not familiar with the specifics of the Australian policy
- 19:57Speaker 9: and whatever statements may have been made by the Prime
- 20:02Speaker 9: Minister or the senior ministers. Australia used to be traditionally
- 20:05Speaker 9: a great friend of his.
- 20:06Speaker 16: So he was.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Indeed, you know all of the.
- 20:08Speaker 9: Prime ministers that I work who is and I you
- 20:11Speaker 9: were very friendly to Israel. And Joel Howard I remember him,
- 20:15Speaker 9: was a great, great friend of Israel. I think that
- 20:19Speaker 9: Tony Arapus, mister Turnbull was, Julia Kila.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Virtually every prime minister has been up until this one.
- 20:30Speaker 9: So I hope that I hope that he will change
- 20:34Speaker 9: his attitude.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Almad really appreciate your time. Thank you very much.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 20:42Speaker 3: All right, let's bring it now Israeli and p Sharon Haskell,
- 20:45Speaker 3: who's with me live in Jerusalem.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Sharen, great to see you in person. Welcome to the show.
- 20:50Speaker 2: I had to come all wait to Israel to meet
- 20:51Speaker 2: you face to fay.
- 20:52Speaker 6: You know, it's wonderful to meet you, and thank you
- 20:55Speaker 6: so much for being so brave to come to Israel
- 20:57Speaker 6: during these difficult times.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Of course, and in solidarity with this great nation. Now
- 21:02Speaker 2: I want to ask.
- 21:03Speaker 3: You, on this sacred day yesterday, the anniversary of October seven,
- 21:07Speaker 3: we saw Israel come under attack in the north, south
- 21:10Speaker 3: and over Tel Aviv.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Can you tell us how hostile this was?
- 21:16Speaker 6: Well, look, the last two weeks has been difficult. There's
- 21:19Speaker 6: direct attacks from Iran, Yemen, from Syria, from Lebanon and
- 21:24Speaker 6: from Hamas in the south. I'll tell you as a mother,
- 21:29Speaker 6: it's been really difficult because you know, yesterday you've experienced
- 21:32Speaker 6: the rockets, the interception in the middle of Tel Aviv.
- 21:36Speaker 6: You had to hide. How do you communicate that's the
- 21:38Speaker 6: children to two year old, my two year old, twin,
- 21:41Speaker 6: my three year old. We have to run in the
- 21:43Speaker 6: middle of the night into shelters. And I think that's
- 21:46Speaker 6: the most difficult thing. I mean, we're tough, We're really
- 21:49Speaker 6: tough people. We can endure that, but the effect that
- 21:53Speaker 6: it has on our children is what really difficult for
- 21:57Speaker 6: us personally.
- 21:58Speaker 3: And I knew that there were constant barrage of rockets
- 22:01Speaker 3: coming from Hesbalaaren to the North, but I had no
- 22:04Speaker 3: idea the extent of it until I was here.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Because you know, I keep talking about this app that
- 22:09Speaker 2: you have on.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Your phone and it pings whenever there's an incoming missile,
- 22:13Speaker 3: and all day long it pings. The majority are from
- 22:17Speaker 3: the North. Yeah, all day, all night. The North has
- 22:21Speaker 3: been under attack for the last year, and the international
- 22:25Speaker 3: community has promised Israel a diplomatic solution. That's why we
- 22:29Speaker 3: tie our hands. Towns were destroyed, city were destroyed, People
- 22:33Speaker 3: are evacuated from their home, tens of thousands of refugees,
- 22:37Speaker 3: people were murdered. Children were murdered by those rockets, and
- 22:41Speaker 3: they send them every single day.
- 22:44Speaker 2: And so enough is enough.
- 22:46Speaker 6: Just two weeks ago we said we have to operate
- 22:49Speaker 6: in order to bring back the safety.
- 22:50Speaker 2: And the security to a northern border. And that's what
- 22:53Speaker 2: it is.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Right now, everyone just forgets the twelve Israeli Dror's children
- 22:58Speaker 3: who were killed on the soccer field. Why we should
- 23:00Speaker 3: families in Israel, you know, have to put up with this?
- 23:02Speaker 3: They need to clearly eliminate the terror threat. Sharon, I
- 23:06Speaker 3: want to ask you about Iran. Clearly, the net and
- 23:09Speaker 3: Yahoo government must be right now in discussions with the
- 23:13Speaker 3: United States about how to respond to Iran. We're expecting
- 23:16Speaker 3: that response in the next few days. Probably. Initially there
- 23:21Speaker 3: was discussion, and I spoke with Naftali Bennett yesterday. He
- 23:26Speaker 3: thought the strike should be on Iran's nuclear sites to
- 23:30Speaker 3: stop its nuclear development program. But now we're hearing in
- 23:34Speaker 3: the New York Times that it looks like it's going
- 23:36Speaker 3: to be on military sites.
- 23:38Speaker 2: If you can believe those reports, what do you think
- 23:40Speaker 2: should happen and what do you think will happen.
- 23:43Speaker 6: I think that this is a regional opportunity, not just
- 23:45Speaker 6: a regional opportunity.
- 23:47Speaker 2: This is an.
- 23:48Speaker 6: Opportunity to make a safer world for all of us.
- 23:53Speaker 6: Iran is the leading force of radical Islam. It's spreading
- 23:56Speaker 6: in tentacles everywhere. You see what they're doing now in Iraq,
- 24:00Speaker 6: trying to create a coupe in Jordan. It's only a
- 24:02Speaker 6: matter of time now think about this regime with nuclear power.
- 24:07Speaker 6: This is an opportunity for the international community to make
- 24:10Speaker 6: sure that in five ten years the world is safer.
- 24:13Speaker 6: And I believe we need to target those nuclear reactors
- 24:17Speaker 6: that Iran has been building for years now, and we
- 24:20Speaker 6: need to target their missiles warehouse as a missiles factory.
- 24:25Speaker 6: This will create a more stable Middle East and a
- 24:29Speaker 6: safer world for all of us, for all.
- 24:30Speaker 7: Of our children.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I know you and your political allies advocating that position
- 24:35Speaker 3: with the current government.
- 24:36Speaker 6: Yes, absolutely, there's been many voices, including mine and my
- 24:41Speaker 6: party members to try and advocate for that. I think
- 24:45Speaker 6: that obviously it needs to come in cooperation with the
- 24:49Speaker 6: United States.
- 24:50Speaker 2: And there's my re selection at the moment.
- 24:51Speaker 3: So you wouldn't have thought the Democrats would have the
- 24:54Speaker 3: appetite for a war with Iran.
- 24:56Speaker 6: Absolutely, but they won't have another opportunity like that. And
- 25:00Speaker 6: as the Iranian leadership they only call Israel the little devil,
- 25:04Speaker 6: America is the big devil. America is their main target
- 25:08Speaker 6: and they will not have another opportunity like that.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Look, I want to finish by asking you about ANRA,
- 25:14Speaker 3: the United Nations Aid Organization. As my viewers know, all
- 25:19Speaker 3: too well. Penny Wong has given eighty two million dollars.
- 25:22Speaker 3: This is hard earned tax pay dollars, eighty two million
- 25:25Speaker 3: dollars to Gaza since October seventh attacks on Israel. It's
- 25:30Speaker 3: inexplicable millions of that has gone to ANRA. This is
- 25:36Speaker 3: an issue or a fight that you personally are involved in.
- 25:39Speaker 2: What are you doing well?
- 25:40Speaker 6: Right now, We're passing a legislation now will disconnect the ministries,
- 25:45Speaker 6: the Defense Ministry and the Foreign Ministry from communicating with UNRA.
- 25:49Speaker 6: ANRA is a compromised organization that was taken over by
- 25:53Speaker 6: Ramas by a terrorist organization. Through UNRA, Haramas is controlling
- 25:59Speaker 6: annating the entire population of Gaza. That's how they recruit
- 26:04Speaker 6: terrorists into their army of terror. And we have to
- 26:07Speaker 6: dismantle that if we do, if we want a different future. Now,
- 26:12Speaker 6: understanding that that's what needs to happen and knowing the
- 26:15Speaker 6: actions of Penny Wong and the current government is heartbreaking
- 26:18Speaker 6: because just two days ago Hamas had said that when
- 26:22Speaker 6: Israel eliminated a senior commander, he was the head of
- 26:27Speaker 6: the unions of teacher.
- 26:28Speaker 10: Of ANRA in Lebanon.
- 26:30Speaker 6: Okay, it means that Penny Wog is paying the salaries
- 26:34Speaker 6: of terrorists of Hamas High Commander activists on the one hand,
- 26:38Speaker 6: while it's sending condolences on the other.
- 26:40Speaker 2: You can't have it both ways.
- 26:41Speaker 6: You have to choose whether you fight those radical Islamist voices,
- 26:46Speaker 6: those terrorists who.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Want to take saying Australia's funding terrorism through anra absolutely
- 26:51Speaker 2: and they know that.
- 26:54Speaker 3: All right, Sharen Haskell, It's been so wonderful meeting you
- 26:57Speaker 3: in person and having you on the show.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Here in Jerusalem. Thank you very much, Thank you very much.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Now lots more to come on the show.
- 27:04Speaker 3: After the break, I sit down with two young women
- 27:07Speaker 3: who miraculously managed to outsmart her Musk terrorists who are
- 27:12Speaker 3: hunting them down.
- 27:13Speaker 2: At the Nova Music Festival.
- 27:15Speaker 3: These are extraordinary stories. You do not want to miss
- 27:18Speaker 3: this interview.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Welcome back.
- 27:25Speaker 16: Well.
- 27:25Speaker 3: The Nova Music Festival site went from a celebration of
- 27:29Speaker 3: love and music to a graveyard. Four hundred young Israeli's
- 27:36Speaker 3: gun down. Two young girls managed to escape death as
- 27:40Speaker 3: they hid from her muss Now a warning, these interviews
- 27:45Speaker 3: in this story are quite confronting.
- 27:58Speaker 16: My name is Milled and I'm a Nova survivor.
- 28:03Speaker 10: I am as Altaso. I am a nova survivor.
- 28:08Speaker 7: Millett, How does it feel to be back here a
- 28:11Speaker 7: year on?
- 28:12Speaker 16: The flashbacks are more intense, and I think that we
- 28:17Speaker 16: never imagine that I've SI a full year, we will
- 28:22Speaker 16: still have so many people being held captive. I still
- 28:27Speaker 16: can't believe that it happened like that and that so
- 28:33Speaker 16: many beautiful angels were taken away from us.
- 28:39Speaker 7: Muzzle?
- 28:39Speaker 3: How different is this space for you compared to how
- 28:43Speaker 3: you remember.
- 28:44Speaker 7: It before the terror attack?
- 28:50Speaker 2: Wow? What was that I'm doing?
- 28:56Speaker 15: This is ours?
- 28:59Speaker 10: There's ours?
- 28:59Speaker 16: Are yeah?
- 29:02Speaker 10: Okay, well it's crazy. It is everything was here, like
- 29:14Speaker 10: tent and beautiful people and music. And I don't believe
- 29:23Speaker 10: that one ear left, Like it's crazy because I feel
- 29:27Speaker 10: like I'm still in seventh of October twenty three, you know,
- 29:33Speaker 10: and don't move on.
- 29:35Speaker 7: When did you realize there was something wrong? On the
- 29:39Speaker 7: morning of October seventh?
- 29:41Speaker 16: You realize that something's wrong as soon as they stop
- 29:43Speaker 16: the music. You understand that something is wrong, and then
- 29:46Speaker 16: you see terrorists, and then you see more and you think,
- 29:50Speaker 16: Cather is what ten terrorists? Forty terrorists a hundred, and
- 29:58Speaker 16: you see more and more people being and the hours
- 30:02Speaker 16: just goes by and their brutality, how cruel they are
- 30:12Speaker 16: and rootless, and I think I could have never imagined
- 30:25Speaker 16: that there are people that are that evil in the world.
- 30:31Speaker 10: We have bended our car and run to the road.
- 30:34Speaker 10: We'd hope that we escape from the terrorists that come
- 30:40Speaker 10: from one direction from this point. And when we reach
- 30:45Speaker 10: to the road, we get shot from the very directions.
- 30:50Speaker 10: So they surrounding us and we land on the road hiding,
- 31:01Speaker 10: run from car to car. You hear the shots like
- 31:07Speaker 10: hit the.
- 31:09Speaker 7: The cars, and they were choirs.
- 31:14Speaker 10: As you start to hear the the Arabic stream, we
- 31:20Speaker 10: get it that they really here and the road is
- 31:24Speaker 10: not a safe place that we need to hide. All
- 31:27Speaker 10: the people that all the people that stay in the
- 31:36Speaker 10: under the cows not survived.
- 31:41Speaker 16: I had to run for two hours. They are surrounding you.
- 31:48Speaker 16: You just go back and forth in between terrorists and
- 31:51Speaker 16: they're shooting from every direction. And whether you're gonna take
- 31:59Speaker 16: one step to the or to delve will determine if
- 32:01Speaker 16: you're gonna be murdered now or you're gonna survive another second.
- 32:06Speaker 16: You survive it one second at a time.
- 32:08Speaker 7: You looked for somewhere to hide. Where did you find.
- 32:12Speaker 10: In the bushes inside the main road will end there.
- 32:17Speaker 10: Hi and Danielle start to cover themselves with plans like that,
- 32:22Speaker 10: and they do the same thing, and they feel not safe.
- 32:26Speaker 10: So I turn around and protake my hand. And the
- 32:35Speaker 10: terrorists went to the bushes, and he said in English,
- 32:43Speaker 10: get up, get up, get up, you you you, and
- 32:47Speaker 10: I bet I get the back of the weapon to
- 32:49Speaker 10: my head.
- 32:50Speaker 3: When the other terrorists came you, you were bleeding so
- 32:54Speaker 3: much they assumed you were dead.
- 32:55Speaker 10: Yeah, it was with white shirt. All my back was
- 33:00Speaker 10: blood because all my flash go out from this finger
- 33:03Speaker 10: and this finger, and because my head was open also,
- 33:10Speaker 10: and I assumed that she they saw my head and
- 33:15Speaker 10: they saw all my back blood, so they think she
- 33:19Speaker 10: don't make it. They start to talk with each other
- 33:23Speaker 10: in Arabic, and one of them come close to me,
- 33:30Speaker 10: and I felt that, so I holt my bread and
- 33:38Speaker 10: he like, weve my face like that. My face was
- 33:44Speaker 10: on the ground, like turn my face my face, look
- 33:48Speaker 10: at me, I guess, and they go and they go.
- 33:51Speaker 10: They also untied my legs like and they put their
- 33:54Speaker 10: rocks like that, and they go. I was shut up
- 34:00Speaker 10: them dying. I wake up after two hours and The
- 34:05Speaker 10: first thing that they do is call my friend Danielle name,
- 34:11Speaker 10: and they call her daniel Danielle, and she don't answer.
- 34:18Speaker 10: So I get off my head and I saw she
- 34:20Speaker 10: was dead.
- 34:23Speaker 16: We found this small valley and we called under It
- 34:28Speaker 16: is something between a tree and a bush that we
- 34:30Speaker 16: found there.
- 34:32Speaker 7: How long were you hiding in that valley?
- 34:34Speaker 16: From six hours?
- 34:39Speaker 7: And you could just hear the gunshots.
- 34:40Speaker 16: All around you throughout the entire time they're shooting, they're
- 34:43Speaker 16: surrounding us. You can still hear them screaming. You can
- 34:47Speaker 16: still hear them, just can still hear them.
- 34:51Speaker 7: And you can hear them now even in your mind.
- 34:55Speaker 16: The thing that is most difficult for me, I can
- 35:03Speaker 16: always hear in my mind this guy that was hiding
- 35:06Speaker 16: near us, and how he screamed when they found him
- 35:10Speaker 16: and shot him, and the fear of being raped.
- 35:19Speaker 7: On the road.
- 35:20Speaker 10: You see on the cars burn, you see buddies on
- 35:26Speaker 10: the road. You don't believe that you are going out.
- 35:37Speaker 3: And during this time when you were fighting to survive,
- 35:41Speaker 3: you must have had your son in your mind as well.
- 35:46Speaker 10: No, I don't think about nothing. I think about survive.
- 35:50Speaker 10: I think if I was thinking about the fact that
- 35:54Speaker 10: my son gonna lose his mom or something like that.
- 36:01Speaker 10: I don't, I don't know. I don't. I don't think
- 36:04Speaker 10: that I was survived.
- 36:06Speaker 3: So you were in the valley, you hit there for
- 36:08Speaker 3: six hours, you heard other people being murdered not far
- 36:11Speaker 3: from where you were.
- 36:13Speaker 7: How did you eventually get out of there.
- 36:19Speaker 16: With the help of three amazing heroes, just civilians that
- 36:27Speaker 16: volunteerily went in to rescue people with their own private cars.
- 36:31Speaker 16: Leon Barr.
- 36:34Speaker 7: Was this is very hard for you to talk about. Leon.
- 36:43Speaker 16: Yeah, he after two days of rescuing people, he was murdered.
- 36:58Speaker 3: A complete hero, amazing person to rescue so many lives.
- 37:07Speaker 16: But at what cost?
- 37:11Speaker 7: Do you think about him all the time?
- 37:15Speaker 16: Yeah, he has children and wife, and.
- 37:23Speaker 3: It's so distressing for you to talk about what happened
- 37:26Speaker 3: to you a year ago. Why do you think it's
- 37:29Speaker 3: important to share your story and and that of so
- 37:32Speaker 3: many other people on this anniversary.
- 37:36Speaker 10: I don't believe that one ear left. Let's begin with
- 37:39Speaker 10: that one ear. Is crazy that we have still people
- 37:44Speaker 10: there is crazy that the all the world don't open
- 37:46Speaker 10: their eyes.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Do you feel you're a very different person today than
- 37:50Speaker 3: you were before October seven?
- 37:54Speaker 16: It's not even very different, just not the same person
- 37:58Speaker 16: at all. We just talk about it today. We look
- 38:09Speaker 16: at videos for a year before and it was so sharp.
- 38:16Speaker 16: One day you are this happy, positive, vivid person and
- 38:24Speaker 16: the next day it's like someone murdered your soul.
- 38:35Speaker 7: Are they incredible?
- 38:36Speaker 3: Such powerful testimonies, and they've actually documented and shared their
- 38:41Speaker 3: experiences with this virtual reality program, so you can watch
- 38:45Speaker 3: some of what they went through. It's called Survived to
- 38:48Speaker 3: tell be the witness. You should check it out if
- 38:50Speaker 3: you can. They were lucky to survive October seven, but
- 38:53Speaker 3: four hundred people weren't. Now still coming up on the show,
- 38:57Speaker 3: another display of albanezis week leadership as Dutton condemns the
- 39:02Speaker 3: Prime Minister for sitting on the fence when it comes
- 39:05Speaker 3: to support for Israel. Ronwin Bishop and kayleb Bond would
- 39:08Speaker 3: join me to discuss class. A veteran of the Prime
- 39:11Speaker 3: Minister's office will be with me here in Jerusalem to
- 39:15Speaker 3: talk about media bias.
- 39:16Speaker 2: He saw so much of it that he wrote a book.
- 39:20Speaker 3: That's after this quick break, Let's return home now, where
- 39:27Speaker 3: I'm joined by former Speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop
- 39:30Speaker 3: and Sky News host kayleb Bond.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Great to see both of you.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Now, the Prime Minister's October seven Terror Tack Condolence motion
- 39:37Speaker 3: has passed the Parliament, but Peter Dutton was very critical
- 39:41Speaker 3: of it.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Bronwyn Bishop, what.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Do you think about the accusations that Dutton made against
- 39:46Speaker 3: the Prime Minister?
- 39:49Speaker 16: Charry?
- 39:49Speaker 17: I watched both those speeches today and I have to say,
- 39:53Speaker 17: I think if mister Albanezi needs to see the stories
- 39:57Speaker 17: that you are reporting, he needs to know how vile
- 40:01Speaker 17: and horrific that attack on the seventh of October was
- 40:05Speaker 17: and what it was designed to do. Peter Dutton's comments
- 40:08Speaker 17: about mister Albenese he always wanting to speak about both
- 40:12Speaker 17: sides of his mouth and talk walk both sides of
- 40:14Speaker 17: the street, were absolutely well founded. He went to Albanesi
- 40:20Speaker 17: in good faith and suggested they have a bipartisan motion
- 40:25Speaker 17: in the House, but Albanese couldn't even agree to that.
- 40:29Speaker 17: He had to put in his both sides of the
- 40:32Speaker 17: street interpretation if the man has no empathy. It was,
- 40:38Speaker 17: and it became even more dramatic, I suppose when you
- 40:44Speaker 17: could see that he really was a poor prime minister
- 40:48Speaker 17: behaving badly. When he turned and said somebody who was
- 40:52Speaker 17: talking in the chamber did they have to write syndrome irean,
- 40:56Speaker 17: How insulting, how insensitive? Where was the empathy none? So
- 41:03Speaker 17: I just simply say that in watching Peter Dublin to day,
- 41:07Speaker 17: he stood there as a man of conviction henuity, believed
- 41:11Speaker 17: he knew what he had to see, He knew that
- 41:14Speaker 17: the things he had to uphold. Whereas Albaneze he read
- 41:17Speaker 17: a crafted speech that had been written to him, but
- 41:21Speaker 17: there was no conviction in it. It was saying the words.
- 41:25Speaker 17: And so I felt very proud when I saw mister
- 41:29Speaker 17: Duttlin's remark strong, purposeful prime ministerial.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Look, Caleb, the Prime Minister presumably had good intentions, but
- 41:43Speaker 3: there's no question that there's only one side of politics
- 41:46Speaker 3: that has been an unwavering friend of Israel and the
- 41:49Speaker 3: Jewish community over the past year.
- 41:52Speaker 8: Indeed, and look, he could very well have got the
- 41:56Speaker 8: point across which he wanted to make, which was about
- 41:59Speaker 8: the loss of civilian lives in Gaza, in a completely
- 42:03Speaker 8: separate motion that was done at a different time. How
- 42:06Speaker 8: hard is it to have one motion today, the first
- 42:10Speaker 8: sitting day after October the seventh, that simply says we commemorate,
- 42:14Speaker 8: recognize the loss of life that happened on October the seventh,
- 42:19Speaker 8: that terror attack that happened on October the seventh, one
- 42:23Speaker 8: year ago, and then come back and talk about the
- 42:26Speaker 8: rest later on. They did not have to be put together.
- 42:29Speaker 8: It was the easiest thing the Prime Minister could have
- 42:32Speaker 8: done if he wanted to do both, to have bipartisan
- 42:35Speaker 8: support for condemnation of October the seventh, but he couldn't
- 42:39Speaker 8: even do that.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Look, let's turn to the IBA now, because it seems
- 42:47Speaker 3: that Albinizi is not just failing on the international stage,
- 42:50Speaker 3: but he's doing the same with economic management. Rodwin Bishop,
- 42:55Speaker 3: we are seeing concerns. This is from the RBA's last
- 42:59Speaker 3: board minutes, that the outlook just isn't looking rosy.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Well it isn't, Charie.
- 43:06Speaker 17: The fact of the matter is the problem remains what
- 43:08Speaker 17: it's been all along. The RBA only has one tool,
- 43:13Speaker 17: and that is interest rates, and it's a blunt instrument.
- 43:17Speaker 17: But the government has fiscal policy and it has done
- 43:20Speaker 17: nothing to reiin in its expenditure. It is added to
- 43:23Speaker 17: expenditure which has kept the pressure up. It has created
- 43:29Speaker 17: jobs that are government paid for jobs, so there's no
- 43:33Speaker 17: productivity happening in the economy. So what we're seeing is
- 43:37Speaker 17: the Reserve Bank just being honest until the government does,
- 43:43Speaker 17: in fact rain in its expenditure, rain in the things
- 43:48Speaker 17: that are still keeping inflation high that you can't expect
- 43:52Speaker 17: the Reserve Bank to lower those interest rates. And it's
- 43:56Speaker 17: hurting and it's hurting businesses, and it's hurting people who
- 43:59Speaker 17: are the real generators of Wilson this country, the private sector,
- 44:04Speaker 17: whereas all they're interested in is the unions and the
- 44:07Speaker 17: public sector. They have no care whatsoever really making a
- 44:11Speaker 17: remedy that can be in fact helping people get back
- 44:15Speaker 17: on their feet. So they just blame supermarkets, they blame
- 44:20Speaker 17: the Reserve Bank, improve everybody else's fault. It's never their
- 44:24Speaker 17: fault until they take responsibility or until they're made to
- 44:29Speaker 17: or chucked out simples to government, we won't get back
- 44:32Speaker 17: to sensible policies.
- 44:37Speaker 3: All right, Look, we're actually out of time at Caleb Bond.
- 44:40Speaker 3: I'll get to you next Tuesday when I'm back in Australia.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Thank you both for your time this evening. Now, we've
- 44:45Speaker 3: still got more to come on the show tonight. This
- 44:48Speaker 3: country is fighting for survival, the war opening up on
- 44:51Speaker 3: multiple fronts. Yet the ABC and other media outlets continue
- 44:56Speaker 3: to falsely paint Israel as the aggressor. Veteran the Prime
- 45:00Speaker 3: Minister's office, Danny Seaman will join me after this quick break.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Welcome back.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Well, I want to bring in now Danny Seaman, a
- 45:11Speaker 3: thirty year veteran in the office.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Of the Prime Minister of Israel.
- 45:15Speaker 3: He's also the author of the book Israel and the
- 45:18Speaker 3: Foreign Media, which perhaps could be called Israel and the
- 45:21Speaker 3: Fake News Media.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Danny, welcome to the program, pleasure.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Look, I want to start with the Prime Minister, Benjamin Ettaya,
- 45:28Speaker 3: who he gets a very bad wrap in the international press.
- 45:33Speaker 3: The polls here in Israel show that he has solidified support,
- 45:36Speaker 3: particularly during the war.
- 45:38Speaker 2: He has shown strong leadership.
- 45:41Speaker 18: He has always and that's what people don't get abroad.
- 45:43Speaker 18: What they get from abroad are two things. How it's
- 45:47Speaker 18: newspaper in English which is very political, and from the
- 45:50Speaker 18: foreign press who get their information. And I know this
- 45:52Speaker 18: as they have been been director of the government Press office.
- 45:55Speaker 18: We pulled the foreign journalists here what are their influences?
- 45:57Speaker 18: One hundred percent of those who'll responded over two hundre
- 46:00Speaker 18: and some journalists foreigners said that they get their influence
- 46:03Speaker 18: only from Haaretz newspaper, So you're getting that version of
- 46:06Speaker 18: Israeli reality, not.
- 46:08Speaker 2: To my views.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Back on how Aretz is the most left leaning newspaper
- 46:13Speaker 3: in Israel, it's basically anti Israel.
- 46:15Speaker 2: It's basically the ABC that's our public broadcast in Australia.
- 46:19Speaker 18: They're very much on the same line. And so that's
- 46:22Speaker 18: what you're getting in reality here. And this is a
- 46:24Speaker 18: reality and it's not portrayed abroad, is that the majority
- 46:27Speaker 18: of the public here for years now have been very supportive,
- 46:30Speaker 18: very conservative, and very to the right of center. And
- 46:32Speaker 18: then Taniel reflects those desires. Are we happy with everything? No,
- 46:37Speaker 18: but there are two things happening now. We're in a war,
- 46:39Speaker 18: an existential threat to our country, So always you come
- 46:43Speaker 18: back behind the government. But he's also a leader in
- 46:45Speaker 18: the eyes of Israelis of international standing, once in a
- 46:49Speaker 18: generation leader, and we see him running the battlefield here
- 46:53Speaker 18: at the same time stealing off all this opposition to
- 46:56Speaker 18: him among a very small minority of Israeli's you don't
- 47:00Speaker 18: get abroad.
- 47:01Speaker 3: His speeches to both the Congress and the United Nations
- 47:04Speaker 3: have been highly impressive, and I think he's also held
- 47:08Speaker 3: his own We are seeing increasingly weak international leaders, whether
- 47:12Speaker 3: it's the United States, but perhaps because of the upcoming
- 47:14Speaker 3: election in Europe, certainly in Australia. But he's remaining firm.
- 47:19Speaker 3: He does have the view that you need peace.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Through strength, absolutely and we're approving it now.
- 47:24Speaker 18: And this is what people don't understand.
- 47:25Speaker 16: It's not the.
- 47:26Speaker 18: Battle of Israel. We're just at the forefront of this battle.
- 47:29Speaker 18: It's a battle against civilization and by barbarians. I don't
- 47:33Speaker 18: want to say animals, because animals don't behave that way.
- 47:35Speaker 18: And just yesterday we went through the fill diage that
- 47:38Speaker 18: they filmed and they were the ones who were leading
- 47:40Speaker 18: and bringing out of what they did last year. This
- 47:44Speaker 18: is a battle not only against Jews, and not because
- 47:46Speaker 18: of the occupation, but against Western civilization. And it's about
- 47:50Speaker 18: time that the leaders of Western civilization understood this.
- 47:53Speaker 3: I wish they would. I talk about it all the time.
- 47:56Speaker 3: So really appreciate you being on the show. Thank you
- 47:58Speaker 3: so much, Daddy. Now that's it from me tonight. My
- 48:02Speaker 3: live coverage here in Jerusalem continues all this week, so
- 48:07Speaker 3: tune in tomorrow at eight pm. And until then, here's
- 48:11Speaker 3: my good mate, Oh Murray
