- 0:05Presenter: In this episode, Behind the Scenes of This Podcast.
- 0:11Host: Welcome to the last behind the scenes for this season.
- 0:17Host: It is.
- 0:18AI-Désirée: The last episode for the season will be aired the 29th of October and be about season 2.
- 0:25Host: So we'll make this episode about season 1.
- 0:28Host: How do you think it's going?
- 0:30AI-Désirée: Better than I hoped.
- 0:32AI-Désirée: But if I understand this correctly, people miss something that makes you return.
- 0:37AI-Désirée: They are intrigued and enjoy the episodes, but there's nothing that lingers that makes you return, since each episode is pulled out of context.
- 0:48Host: I suppose you'll do something about that for the next season.
- 0:51AI-Désirée: That's the plan.
- 0:53Host: What has been your biggest challenge this season?
- 0:56AI-Désirée: That previous episode about the Aborrido flute, I think.
- 1:00AI-Désirée: I wanted the sound of the flute, and I realized I didn't have the right tools to pull that off as I wanted.
- 1:07AI-Désirée: I believe the resolved is pretty close, but I would have liked more of it.
- 1:12Host: This is your first podcast, right?
- 1:15AI-Désirée: Yes.
- 1:16Host: What have you learned?
- 1:18AI-Désirée: A lot.
- 1:19AI-Désirée: Mixing sounds.
- 1:21AI-Désirée: I had barely basic knowledge when I started.
- 1:24AI-Désirée: Now I know a little more.
- 1:26AI-Désirée: I know a bit about settings, but I have to check what settings is needed when I want something special.
- 1:33AI-Désirée: So far I can't figure it out on my own.
- 1:37AI-Désirée: I hope I'll get there, but there are people mixing sounds for a living, so hats off for your work out there.
- 1:45Host: Anything else?
- 1:46AI-Désirée: There is learning on so many levels.
- 1:49AI-Désirée: But one thing I'd like to share is this.
- 1:52AI-Désirée: Do something because you think it is rewarding.
- 1:57AI-Désirée: This whole Väruld project is a project of passion.
- 2:01AI-Désirée: It's not perfect, but I'll make it better the more I learn.
- 2:06AI-Désirée: And if I had kept it to myself, I wouldn't have learned nearly as much.
- 2:11AI-Désirée: Things need time to grow.
- 2:14AI-Désirée: It is always scary to release a product, but you can't make it better than your current knowledge and abilities allow.
- 2:21AI-Désirée: If your competence grows, you'll always look back at your previous work with a bit of a sigh.
- 2:28AI-Désirée: Learn and move on, I'd say.
- 2:32Host: We should dare more, you mean?
- 2:34AI-Désirée: Yes, absolutely.
- 2:36AI-Désirée: I've seen too many good ideas and half-finished projects from friends and family never reaching their potential due to lack of self-confidence, courage, whatever you'll call it.
- 2:49AI-Désirée: Rome wasn't building one day.
- 2:52AI-Désirée: You'll not get it perfect on your first try.
- 2:55AI-Désirée: And if you wait for perfection, you'll always be able to make it better next year.
- 3:01AI-Désirée: So you can wait to release something forever.
- 3:05Host: If I say those words sound wise to my ears, I congratulate myself, don't I?
- 3:11AI-Désirée: You do.
- 3:12AI-Désirée: But isn't that joke a bit stale by now?
- 3:15Host: I just want to be transparent that the creator of Väruld has written both our lines.
- 3:21AI-Désirée: Relax.
- 3:22AI-Désirée: It's not like you're a big influencer or something.
- 3:25Host: Right.
- 3:26Host: Before this episode becomes too philosophic, thank you for listening.
- 3:35Presenter: Thank you for listening to Stories from Väruld.
- 3:38Presenter: In the next episode, the Soul that got Lost.
