  Speaker 1: able to apply these verses to their lives.

  Speaker 1: So we're gonna be in Proverbs chapter twenty three. I

  Speaker 1: love the number Michael Jordan. We can even say Lebron James,

  Speaker 1: and I have to shout.

  Speaker 2: Out to my home church with the cup.

  Speaker 1: We've been talking about sports and faith, and when I

  Speaker 1: just think about what I've been able to learn from
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: not only going to church, but being able to do
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: these Bible studies as well, and having the desire to
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: want to serve God.

  Speaker 1: And over time, I want to give you also some
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: time to be able to grab your bibles or get
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: on the Bible app and be able to read.

  Speaker 2: Along as you hear along. I highly encourage that.

  Speaker 1: And it's just amazing what God is doing in my

  Speaker 1: life because I've surrendered and I'm following his son, Jesus Christ.

  Speaker 1: And I know for a lot of people it is

  Speaker 1: a hard transition.

  Speaker 2: It was for me. I was a believer for so
• 1:32
  Speaker 2: many years.
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: And I'm definitely giving you a little extra time, and

  Speaker 1: i want to share just a little bit of my
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: story and it's not going to take up a whole
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: lot of time, because.

  Speaker 2: Truthfully, I want to make it short and sweet.

  Speaker 1: I was a believer for a very long time, backsliding Christian,

  Speaker 1: they say. And I loved my sin. I loved drinking,

  Speaker 1: I loved using, I loved sex.

  Speaker 2: And to be.

  Speaker 1: Able to be where I'm at today, I am still
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: a work in progress. I'm not gonna sit on this

  Speaker 1: podcast and act like I am wholly almighty and Nope,

  Speaker 1: not gonna do that. What I'm gonna do is be honest.

  Speaker 1: And how do we change being honest, open and willing
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: to let the Lord d with the Holy Spirit. Amen,

  Speaker 1: let's jump into it.

  Speaker 2: I want to go. I want to go.

  Speaker 1: I want to let the Spirit ride, ride this way,

  Speaker 1: ride to flow.

  Speaker 2: And you can do the same thing. I'm just saying.

  Speaker 1: You can become a child of God. You can be

  Speaker 1: able to obtain a spiritual gift or leadership, or some

  Speaker 1: sort of discernmentship from the Lord Jesus Christ.

  Speaker 2: Amen.

  Speaker 1: So, Proverbs chapter twenty three, Verse one states, when you
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: sit down to eat a meal with the ruler, be
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: careful how you eat. Even if you enjoy your food,
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: do not eat too much of it.
• 3:10
  Speaker 2: Do not.
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: Want his special food for yourself. He may be trying
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: to deceive you this verse here, in particular, these first three.

  Speaker 1: What I can obtain from it and allow the spirit
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: to be able to take it is not just talking

  Speaker 1: about food. We're talking about also doing things to glorify

  Speaker 1: Conscious on the armor of God, the consciousness of Christ.

  Speaker 1: You can be able to know when somebody's not necessarily

  Speaker 1: got their.

  Speaker 2: Best interest at a heart for you. The Spirit will

  Speaker 2: lead you guide you. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So let's get into verse four. Do not work so
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: hard to become rich that you make yourself ill. Be
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: wise and rest when you need to. Your body's going
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: to automatically tell you when you need to rest, when
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: you need to take a mental vacation, and how do
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: you do these mental vacations. It's very simple by not
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: only prayer and meditation, is being in nature. Being for
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: an example, today, I love to sit out here and
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: be able to see a few red cardinals, and I've
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: seen hawks.
• 4:51
  Speaker 2: I've seen today.
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: I was able during one of my meetings to be
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: able to feed not only one but two cardinals little
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: snack that I had and then I ate it. I
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: ate majority of it, but I was able to give
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: and the bright red cardinal came and took some of
• 5:12
  Speaker 1: the grand Cracker. Beautiful moment, beautiful moment. There's so many
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: things that we take for granted. And when we're talking
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: about workaholics, hmm, I've been one of those. I've also
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: been another kind of alcoholic. I've also been an addict.
• 5:36
  Speaker 2: I want to.
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: Make this clear that everybody falls short of God's standards.
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: We need Jesus Christ to be able to fill that
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: void that is in our hearts that we try to
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: seek outwardly. And for a long or short period of times,
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: these temporary fixes the work, but there comes a time
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: where it doesn't do what it's what you're accustomed to
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: it doing. When it becomes a problem, it becomes a problem,
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: and we can be deceived by people. Let's keep it moving.

  Speaker 1: Let's keep it moving.

  Speaker 2: Verse five. Your money can disappear very quickly.

  Speaker 1: It may seem to grow wings and then fly far
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: away like an eagle. You've heard the saying, right, oh,

  Speaker 1: my money comes in, but it goes out quicker. We
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: got bills to pay, we got kids to feed, and
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: then we also have our ones in our needs. Money
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: comes and money goes. Unfortunately, it's also the same with people.
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: Sometimes people come and go. The ones that stick and stay,
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: the ones that are for not a season, but for
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: a reason.
• 6:53
  Speaker 2: Thank God.
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: Glorify God for that, because those are the ones that
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: are a blessing, and we all can be able to
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: obtain not only these gifts that are innerly but outerly.

  Speaker 1: God loves to really bless those that glorify Him, and
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: these blessings aren't short tormed, short home, short home, short term.
• 7:23
  Speaker 2: It's everlasting.
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: You know, I heard somebody tell me a marriage for
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: forty years. I've even heard you know, but this is
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: somebody close to me. Their parents have been married for
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: forty years and have a beautiful marriage. That is something
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: that is a blessing from God himself. A man that
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: finds a wife finds a good thing. Hey man, let's
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: keep it rolling, all right, Spirit, all right, we in
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: it to win it tonight, aren't we?
• 7:53
  Speaker 2: Verse where we at?

  Speaker 1: We have Verse six, Yes, do not go and eat

  Speaker 1: a meal with someone who hates to spend his money.

  Speaker 2: His food may be good, but do not but do
• 8:13
  Speaker 2: not be greedy for it. Verse seven.

  Speaker 1: It states he says, eat and drink as much as
• 8:19
  Speaker 1: you want, but he does not really mean that.

  Speaker 2: He is thinking about the cost of the food.

  Speaker 1: And he also may be thinking, and this could be
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: a sheet, what you're going to have to be able

  Speaker 1: to give for that, How you're gonna have to pay back? Hm,

  Speaker 1: That transactional kind of love that we do as human beings.

  Speaker 2: We're all guilty of this. So we've all been guilty
• 8:48
  Speaker 2: of this.

  Speaker 1: Ooh, Spirit, I feel you. Oh, let's get into it.

  Speaker 1: Let's get into it. And I'm just so grateful. Oh,

  Speaker 1: praise God, Praise Jesus, and thank you Holy Spirit. Let's

  Speaker 1: keep it moving, he says, eating drink. We've already said

  Speaker 1: that even if you only eat a little of his food,

  Speaker 2: All your nice words to him will be useless.

  Speaker 1: life into them, they'll think you're ignorant. You start talking

  Speaker 1: about the Bible, you start talking about God and Jesus

  Speaker 1: to the wrong people, they gonna think you're crazy, crazy

  Speaker 1: for Jesus.

  Speaker 2: Ooh, let me get into it. Let me get into it.

  Speaker 2: I know for a fact the selfish ways that I

  Speaker 2: used to live.

  Speaker 1: Right I think about how I'm living today and how

  Speaker 1: I wanna continue to live my life.

  Speaker 2: I will never be able to do it perfect.

  Speaker 1: But I serve a perfect God, and I also serve

  Speaker 1: a perfect Lord and the Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 2: We're talking about three and one.

  Speaker 1: We're not Also, we're not talking about your shampoo that

  Speaker 1: is condition shamboo conditionery body wash.

  Speaker 2: But I'm gonna use another parable that a lot.

  Speaker 1: Of people get misconscrewed, and they get it kind of off,

  Speaker 1: Gospel of Christ, which is the Gospel of God, and

  Speaker 1: having the Holy Spirit, because he sent this helper. Jesus

  Speaker 1: can't be here with us, He just can't. We could

  Speaker 1: be the example of Jesus as we as he transforms

  Speaker 1: us mentally, physically, spiritually. Ooh ooh, okay, Spirit, Thank you Spirit,

  Speaker 1: thank you, thank you Holy Spirit. And you see how

  Speaker 1: I say spirit when you're talking about other spirits.

  Speaker 2: There's only one that's perfect. That's the Holy One. That's
• 11:56
  Speaker 2: the Holy One.

  Speaker 1: Listen carefully. That's we're going a little too ahead of ourselves.

  Speaker 1: border of someone's land. Do not take for yourself the

  Speaker 1: fields of people who have no family to help them.

  Speaker 1: God himself will be the relative who helps them. He

  Speaker 1: will speak against you in court. Listen carefully to your

  Speaker 1: teacher and study. Well, then you will learn knowledge. Now

  Speaker 1: who's the teacher we're talking about the pastors.

  Speaker 2: We're talking about Christ is the head.

  Speaker 1: Jesus is the leader, right, I mean the Christ is

  Speaker 2: The pastors are the leader.

  Speaker 1: There comes a point in time where we gotta we

  Speaker 1: gotta not just lean on the church.

  Speaker 1: members of the church, but the member of the one

  Speaker 1: body Jesus Christ, and be able to get out here

  Speaker 1: and really not only just talk about Jesus, but talk

  Speaker 1: about how we have that holy spirit because we are

  Speaker 1: connected to God Jesus and it's just a beautiful thing

  Speaker 1: to be able to do this. I want to be

  Speaker 1: able to close out properly, so we're probably gonna end

  Speaker 1: want to be around more like minded, in.

  Speaker 2: Soul types of people.
