- 0:00Speaker 1: 106.7 Light FM. Good morning. It's Christine Cubby. Producer Kristen
- 0:04Speaker 1: is here. And I know it's like a little hard
- 0:06Speaker 1: to get going and leave the house, but leaving the
- 0:09Speaker 1: house in your pajamas, is that okay?
- 0:12Speaker 2: Why are you looking at me?
- 0:13Speaker 1: What have you got on there, Cubby?
- 0:14Speaker 2: No, today I'm just T-shirt and jeans.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah, we're pretty cash today.
- 0:18Speaker 2: There are times I want to wear my pajamas.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I know, but we.
- 0:21Speaker 2: With the flap in the back.
- 0:22Speaker 1: We don't. Yeah.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:24Speaker 1: And your Uggs, I'm sure.
- 0:25Speaker 2: And my Uggs.
- 0:26Speaker 1: But yeah, people were kind of... saying we're getting a
- 0:29Speaker 1: little tired of this. Survey was done. What's the most
- 0:31Speaker 1: uncivilized thing we do in public? Pajama pants in the
- 0:36Speaker 1: store came up number one.
- 0:39Speaker 2: You see it all the time. I'm used to it.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I feel like 20 years ago, we would be like,
- 0:43Speaker 2: what are all these people in Walmart wearing pajamas? But
- 0:45Speaker 2: now it's not just Walmart. It's Target.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Kind of everywhere. Everywhere.
- 0:49Speaker 2: People are just comfy.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Just pajama pants and Uggs was like a thing, I
- 0:53Speaker 1: think early 2000s. But yeah, and producer Kristen telling us
- 0:56Speaker 1: like coming out of the pandemic, A lot of kids
- 0:58Speaker 1: going back to school and they're like, I'll just wear
- 1:00Speaker 1: my pajama pants and a T-shirt and we're good to go.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So people are a little tired of that. Also drives
- 1:07Speaker 1: us nuts when you're talking loudly on the speakerphone.
- 1:11Speaker 2: And you would think after, you know, with Bluetooth and
- 1:13Speaker 2: stuff like that, that would also change over the years.
- 1:16Speaker 2: But no, there are people that still talk on speakerphone
- 1:19Speaker 2: in the middle of a store. You hear the whole conversation. Yeah,
- 1:22Speaker 2: I don't understand that.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Even really loud when they're just talking to the other
- 1:26Speaker 1: person and you don't hear the other person.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Oh, they're just yelling pretty much?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Like we've done like all these studies of like why
- 1:33Speaker 1: you can't tune that out. It's because your brain needs
- 1:35Speaker 1: to make sense of it and understand like, okay, what's
- 1:38Speaker 1: the other side of the conversation?
- 1:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:40Speaker 1: So it almost pulls you in more.
- 1:41Speaker 2: At least we're not hearing the next tail chirp anymore.
- 1:43Speaker 2: We used to hear that a lot about 20 years ago. Right. Hey,
- 1:47Speaker 2: what's up there, Christine? You want a new TV? No? Okay.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Leaving shopping carts in the middle of a parking space.
- 1:54Speaker 2: That will never change.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Drives us nuts.
- 1:55Speaker 2: That will never change.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Still happens. Playing videos or music without the headphones, yes.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Well, you know, on flights. On flights, they'll really crack
- 2:03Speaker 2: down on you. You can't do that.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Doctor's office, no, no. Letting a dog poop on a
- 2:08Speaker 1: neighbor's lawn and not picking it up.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I've seen it happen.
- 2:12Speaker 1: That's, yeah, that's a big problem.
- 2:14Speaker 2: And a lot of times, I don't know if they
- 2:15Speaker 2: know or not, but the person will act like they're
- 2:18Speaker 2: looking at their phone. Oh. And I don't know if
- 2:20Speaker 2: they're just pretending like they're so into their phone, they're
- 2:23Speaker 2: not paying attention to the dog.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Oh, gee, I forgot to scoop that.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Or are they just like playing like, I don't know,
- 2:27Speaker 2: a role here? Yeah. I'm just going to act like
- 2:29Speaker 2: nothing's going on.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You got to scoop. Who does this? Clipping fingernails or
- 2:33Speaker 1: toenails in public? What? Who's doing that?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Can you imagine? Did you ever see planes, trains, and automobiles?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 2: There's a scene in the movie where John Candy takes
- 2:42Speaker 2: off his shoe and then takes off his sock. Oh.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Next to Steve Martin on the airplane.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 2:47Speaker 2: He starts picking his nails. No, no, no, no. Like,
- 2:49Speaker 2: if that ever happened on an airplane, forget it.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's bad. Standing right in front of the elevator
- 2:53Speaker 1: doors so people inside cannot step out. You know, just
- 2:57Speaker 1: like not getting out of the way. Right. And stopping
- 3:00Speaker 1: with a shopping cart in the center of the aisle.
- 3:03Speaker 1: It's funny how a lot of this goes back to
- 3:05Speaker 1: getting to the supermarket.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Right. It does. People in their pajamas blocking the aisle
- 3:09Speaker 2: with their cart. Yes.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Speaking on the phone.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You're right.
- 3:12Speaker 2: All these could take place.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Not returning the cart.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Grocery store.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Well, I guess a lot of our lives revolve, mind us,
- 3:18Speaker 1: around the grocery store. We have to go so often.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Which, by the way, do you have to go to
- 3:21Speaker 2: Stop and Shop today?
- 3:23Speaker 1: You know, I could. I went yesterday, but I could
- 3:25Speaker 1: always go.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Isn't the grocery store crazy on Sunday?
- 3:28Speaker 1: Yes.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Because people are preparing for the week?
- 3:29Speaker 1: You know why I would need to go back today?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Because I get overwhelmed and I have to leave.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And you want to go there when it's quieter. Yeah. Right. Yep.
- 3:38Speaker 2: All right. Well, hit us up on text 44363. In
- 3:41Speaker 2: your personal opinion, what is the most uncivilized thing we
- 3:46Speaker 2: do in public? We do want to hear from you. Affordable.
