- 0:52Bring so much hope and encouragement to anyone who's
- 0:55lost a loved one. Here's my guest Beth Thorpe.
- 1:00Hi Beth. I am so glad you are here.
- 1:02Welcome to she speaks life. Thank you for having me.
- 1:06I'm so glad to be here. My heart, you know, is heavy
- 1:09from this message, in this experience that you went
- 1:12through. But like you were saying before
- 1:15we hit record, that is the beauty that God made it into
- 1:20after the tragedy. And so I really just want to
- 1:24kick it off with more about who you are.
- 1:28And From there. I'd love to get to know your son
- 1:33Mitchell and how it was when he was a child and raising him as a
- 1:39kid. Awesome.
- 1:40Yes. It's, he was my firstborn
- 1:43Mitchell, and if I had to describe him, he, we always
- 1:48called him our Sunshine boy because he was so full of joy.
- 1:52So light, so happy. Now he was a beautiful young boy
- 1:55but inside and out, I remember teachers writing, To me after
- 2:00his passing, when Mitchell would walk in the room, he would light
- 2:04up the room. I mean, just things like that,
- 2:06his character I write about it in the story and we'll get to
- 2:11that in a minute. How I wrote the book took me 13
- 2:14years to finally see the Fingerprints of God through it.
- 2:17All for me to get it on paper and we'll talk about that in a
- 2:20minute. But but back to Mitchell he
- 2:23people kept saying thank you for telling me who Mitchell was
- 2:27specially for people who didn't know him.
- 2:28So I wanted him To be able to have his voice heard and who he
- 2:32was as a person while he was here on Earth.
- 2:36God gave me this beautiful child when we struggled to have
- 2:40children and prayed constantly on my knees.
- 2:43Lord, why can't I get pregnant? Everyone in my family, all my
- 2:47sisters are and why not me and so one of those things happened
- 2:50and and God gave me this beautiful child and I had him
- 2:54for 18 years and ultimately I had to give them back to him but
- 3:00He was my warrior son. We call him, our Warrior son,
- 3:04just for everything that he had to go through.
- 3:07He'd Made Me Stronger. And those who knew our family
- 3:11around us stronger, and brought people closer to God knowing
- 3:15everything that we had to go through with him.
- 3:17Well, I see in the background that you have him in his
- 3:21baseball gear. And I mean, they, he absolutely
- 3:25loved baseball. And one of the things I want to
- 3:28mention was In Carlsbad California, which is very close
- 3:33from where I grew up in San Clemente, California and my
- 3:38brother is the president of baseball Little League for his
- 3:43kids and so very popular in our family.
- 3:48And so tell me how did he get into baseball?
- 3:53Well, my husband was an ex pro ball player who played for the
- 3:56Los Angeles Dodgers as a left-handed pitcher.
- 3:59In the 80s. So that's where his love came
- 4:02from my husband, and it up coaching, like in the community
- 4:07here for the Carlsbad youth. Lease youth baseball, and
- 4:12Acosta, youth, baseball leagues. He was in both and just coach
- 4:17the boys. I have another son to they were
- 4:1922 months apart, so there's Mitchell and Matthew and my
- 4:23husband and up coaching and yes, they did.
- 4:26When he had old enough branched into that whole Of travel
- 4:30baseball. And at the time Mitchell was
- 4:33developing into really a wonderful five-tool player and
- 4:38High School coaches as interesting.
- 4:39We're coaching, we're scouting him.
- 4:42I should say at the age of 10 11 and 12.
- 4:45And when we came to of years old, they're like what high
- 4:47school is he going to you? They wanted them at their high
- 4:49school because we had a choice to go to either.
- 4:51We had a choice. But yeah, he was a very talented
- 4:56athlete and I in brag about that because I'm his mom, but when I
- 5:02would stand behind the fence watching him, come up to plate
- 5:06and fathers would be standing there behind that knowing that
- 5:09I'm his mom, right? And I would hear them say boy, I
- 5:14love to see this kid. Hit, they love to see him hit.
- 5:17He was known for That Swing so that is why that picture on the
- 5:21front of the book was so important of baseball runs
- 5:25really thick through our family and a lot of Lessons in baseball
- 5:32that you can that all these young boys can learn in my
- 5:35husband brought that to them. And not only that but also
- 5:39learning how to lose, where to keep your faith.
- 5:42You know, and that was just Mitchell.
- 5:45He was just one of those talented intelligent, boys.
- 5:49He was a 4.0 student very athletic, but his character
- 5:54again, was always looking out for the underdog, you know, and
- 5:58he always would help. Those that were struggling
- 6:00because it was a team sport, right?
- 6:03So he wanted always to win. So if the team wasn't doing
- 6:06well, you know, he would do his part to try and help to make the
- 6:10other ball players better and he just had a heart for that, you
- 6:14know? And for that I saw that little
- 6:19just stepping up as being a little leader, you know, which
- 6:21was really kind of nice to see and I started believe or not
- 6:24coaching when they were very very little, I took him to the
- 6:29local YMCA. CA and he was like, for almost
- 6:32turning 5 and none of the dad's wanted to step up and Coach, you
- 6:35know, at that age. So but I actually said, I said,
- 6:38okay no one's raising their hand, I guess I'll coach.
- 6:41So I coached the boys, you know that that age, you know, and
- 6:44then his father said, you know, I will step up Mitch and help
- 6:48you when you get a little older and so yeah.
- 6:51And he did and coached him for many years, he sounds like an
- 6:55amazing head. We hold every year the Grand
- 6:58Slam for Mitchell. Baseball tournament in the month
- 7:00of September here and we had, we thought when we first had this
- 7:05tournament that we'd have 20, maybe 30 teams signed up know.
- 7:10God had a whole different plan, we had 60, 60, 60 travel takes
- 7:16come out for this tournament. It's a three-day tournament.
- 7:19We hold it in the month of September every year because
- 7:22it's Childhood Cancer, where's Awareness Month in September?
- 7:25So we hold it for that and it's really wonderful to see.
- 7:29Children coming out and teaching the young ones and the coaches
- 7:33even say, you know, thanks so much.
- 7:35The guy, all the kids love to play for something bigger than
- 7:37they are. There's more than just baseball,
- 7:40right? There's a higher purpose, right?
- 7:43Oh, that's so neat. Okay, so take us back to I guess
- 7:48when symptoms started to happen. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 7:53We were, he was symptoms came out of age of 13 and he passed
- 7:58at 18. So it was a We are very long,
- 8:01hard journey, taking him in and out of different hospitals, and
- 8:04doctors throughout the nation looking for answers.
- 8:08He was ultimately undiagnosed to his death, so go figure.
- 8:12I was just like Beyond myself. No one could figure out what was
- 8:16going on and it was a rude awakening to our medical system.
- 8:21No question. They ran every test again in and
- 8:25out different hospitals. He came home at the age of 13.
- 8:29Ends with a headache. Very bad headaches.
- 8:31He says, Mom, I don't know why I'm having sex, I don't feel
- 8:33good. So like any mom, you give him a
- 8:35pain reliever and you thought, maybe he's coming down with the
- 8:38flu and get some rest and, and then to speed up the story,
- 8:44things were progressing and not really getting better.
- 8:46And finally, again we had to take him back to the hospital
- 8:50when he came home one day and just kind of collapsed on the
- 8:52front yard and cried for me and I ran out to get them and my
- 8:56husband, swooped him up and we brought him in the house, you
- 8:58know. Mitchell was Wrong was
- 9:00happening. Tell us what's happening.
- 9:01He's in my pain pain in my head pain.
- 9:04And so, we took him to the hospital again and they ran more
- 9:08tests and things kept coming back - normal.
- 9:12But you're like, but he's not. So, what's driving this pain?
- 9:17So, we were always chasing pain and before it became chronic and
- 9:24it was just when I look back on it.
- 9:28Running like crazy looking for answers, searching for answers,
- 9:35relying on doctors to give you a sign of Hope of what to do.
- 9:38And there was none. And then till finally he was in
- 9:42so much pain. And we again taking this is now
- 9:46years. How we're going into like the
- 9:49fourth fifth year of dealing with, this was still no answers,
- 9:53but trying to deal with it. He finally ended up in the UCLA
- 9:57research hospital. They gave us a choice Mayo
- 10:00Clinic or UCLA like a research hospital because they couldn't
- 10:04figure it out. So we opted for UCLA because
- 10:08it's closer to us and and we were there for a month and
- 10:13again, their whole doctors and team of people came in and out
- 10:17and And by then he was in myoclonic, seizures due to pain.
- 10:21So, her like what's causing this pain?
- 10:25And more tests were ran tests kept coming back - normal.
- 10:29Then the doctor said, well must be all in his head when you're
- 10:31like you think my well that really hit my husband's and my
- 10:35buttons, really you think he wants to be like oh yeah I'm
- 10:38like Oh my he River ice, trying a pictures of him playing
- 10:41baseball. He would rather be out playing
- 10:42baseball with his friends. I said I said you know do what
- 10:46you have to do but this is His head.
- 10:48This is something is going on here, that's causing such head
- 10:51paint anyway. So you have to Cana that's a
- 10:54whole other chapter I write in my book about dealing with that.
- 10:58But they did do, you know, let them do all their studies.
- 11:01And yes, they came back and said, no, it's not in his head
- 11:03and as any mother, I'm biting my tongue going mmm right on the
- 11:08medical records. You know, they had, they would
- 11:10say, Beware of the mother, you know.
- 11:12But, you know, I had to advocate for him because he couldn't
- 11:15speak or talk at the time and I'm My husband and I are trying
- 11:20to discuss with the doctors and they brought us in this big
- 11:22conference room and were chatting with them.
- 11:25You know? Like they're telling us, we
- 11:26tried this, this, and that, and nothing's working as a, we'll
- 11:28have you looked into this this and that, you know, parents go
- 11:30to the ends of the Earth. We're doing all the research and
- 11:32I'm in a research hospital anyway, but it was, it was
- 11:37really hard but at the end of that, I write about it in the
- 11:43book, they wanted to take our son away from us.
- 11:47And put them in a psychiatric ward.
- 11:49And we're like But you said, it wasn't psychological.
- 11:52He would have surely died in there.
- 11:54I said, why would you take that course of action?
- 11:57So parents have to understand, then we had to, you have to be
- 12:01very careful how you learned. We had a bit, get an attorney to
- 12:05help intervene between us in the hospital because hospitals are
- 12:09very, you know, scared of being sued and whatnot, but to get him
- 12:15out of the hospital because they basically said, take him home
- 12:18and make him comfortable, which basically meant Hospice care and
- 12:21palliative care, but we were yet not going to give up on him.
- 12:25And we had that bring a whole team of people into our home.
- 12:29We, but we hired a nutritionist here, an osteopath, we decided
- 12:33to take things a little bit differently.
- 12:35More integrative medicine, since Western medicine, couldn't
- 12:38figure it out and then I had to have a whole team in place
- 12:42before, they would release him from the hospital, which was
- 12:44fine, because we needed that we were going to give up on him.
- 12:48He left that that time with The good things that came out of the
- 12:52hospital as they broke the myoclonic seizures, they put a g
- 12:56tube in his stomach. So we could feed him because he
- 12:58lost the ability to swallow and eat, and he was losing weight
- 13:02and alarming rate. I had good friends, come and my
- 13:06nutritionist. We she created Mitchell's
- 13:08formula, she coddled, it Mitchell's formula, they
- 13:11organically Juiced everything and then that she had all these
- 13:14vitamins and things, I'll break all these capsules and
- 13:16everything that she would work off his blood work to see what
- 13:19he was deficient in to help build.
- 13:20Back up on the cellular level, as well as to put weight back on
- 13:25the osteopath, came into the picture and things started to
- 13:28make a turn for a little bit of the better.
- 13:30He was the only doctor that said there is an inflammatory
- 13:34situation happening in his head. My nutritionist wanted him to be
- 13:38tested for Lyme's disease and I said Lyme's disease and back
- 13:42then. See no one knew anything about
- 13:46that. The test even back then, or not
- 13:47very accurate from what I'm now know.
- 13:51And learned but Lyme's disease is a big, disguiser of many
- 13:56things which the tests don't always show it in blood work and
- 14:01what and other things that I have now learned over the years
- 14:05since we are helping other families right now with children
- 14:08going through Lyme's disease and I see similar symptoms of what
- 14:12they're going through. What Mitchell had.
- 14:14So back then we're talking, you know, 15 years ago.
- 14:19Social media wasn't really around.
- 14:21Myspace was it. So everything had to be done of
- 14:25getting Mitchell's word out was through newspaper and print.
- 14:30And so, we were not in a really good place of people
- 14:34understanding. But anyway, he was the only
- 14:38doctor, the osteopath to had a glimmer of testing of that.
- 14:44There's something else going on. That's affecting his central
- 14:46nervous system. Not only that he picked up and
- 14:50detected heavy metals, and we were like heavy metals.
- 14:56I thought, oh my gosh, it's someone poisoned my son, and
- 14:59then I had myself, my husband and my other son tested.
- 15:02We were fine. But Mitchell's she meddles in
- 15:05his system were not. They were abnormal that was the
- 15:08only thing a first clue of something, wasn't, right?
- 15:12So we had to go through a whole chelation process with that with
- 15:15him and detox him. And I thought, well, once those
- 15:19got out of his system, maybe we'll start to see things turn
- 15:21around, but he was the only doctor that helped us get
- 15:24through them. That and then do some protocols
- 15:27to help. Get the inflammation down in his
- 15:29head. That was causing the pain.
- 15:33But speaking to other people who have now have suffered from that
- 15:37disease, those are some of the symptoms and but go figure back
- 15:42then, we're running around the whole United States looking for
- 15:45answers and not one doctor, could figure it out or even help
- 15:51us. Yeah.
- 15:52Oh man. I this is like an unimaginable.
- 15:55Nightmare for any parent. And just to walk through this,
- 16:01hearing your journey and how you're just navigating trying to
- 16:05find some kind of solution to his pain.
- 16:10I mean my heart is breaking and I just could not imagine how I'm
- 16:17curious. How was your relationship with
- 16:20the Lord during this time? Period.
- 16:23Oh yeah, good question. They us.
- 16:25I'm very faithful, I was In my faith and my husband, too, and
- 16:31we've had people praying over him, pastors, coming and praying
- 16:35having Mitchell on. Everyone's prayer.
- 16:36Chain People Prayed and we buy write about it in the book at
- 16:41that time. God, where are you?
- 16:43Why aren't you answering our prayer wire?
- 16:46Where are you? Why aren't you healing him we?
- 16:48And we had people laying hands on him.
- 16:50We were just, I mean everything we had in our prayer walks.
- 16:55So yes, it tested my My faith and my husband Faith to the nth
- 17:01degree, but we never wavered. But yet, It got to a point when
- 17:07we came home from that UCLA visit, I mean I was crying on
- 17:11the Park Bench outside the hospital, a lady comes up to me
- 17:16says, are you? Alright?
- 17:17And I'm like bawling this is no my son's in this hospital and
- 17:21these having surgery right now to put that g tube in and I was
- 17:24just a wreck your a basket case walking through it all and
- 17:27you're reaching out and you're crying and your wits and I was
- 17:30so when I finally came home with him, it came to the point where
- 17:34II was had to totally surrender him.
- 17:39And I was so exhausted from five years of your like as a parent.
- 17:44You're in the battlefield right day in and day out, fighting for
- 17:47your child and it took a toll on my health.
- 17:52I finally fell to my knees and cried and said I Surrender him
- 17:56God to you. I can't do this anymore, you've
- 17:59got to, I can't take it. I can't do it, right?
- 18:02You're at that point, many people get can get to that point
- 18:06when they're going through such But I was hanging on my husband,
- 18:10I were hanging on like pitbulls, you know, we weren't letting go
- 18:13trying to help my son. We often prayed in my head
- 18:15Mitchell in the backyard with me.
- 18:17We'd see butterflies flying around us.
- 18:19I say, you know, Mitchell one day, God's going to heal you and
- 18:21set you free. But in my mind healing him here
- 18:25on Earth, that was the hardest part of the journey.
- 18:27He ultimately did pass at 18 so and then we took.
- 18:32But while he was alive which was very interesting people in this
- 18:35community came out and heard about her situation.
- 18:38Shannon and they formed a walkathon, these are some very
- 18:41good friends of ours is we are going to help you.
- 18:44We know how much medical it. We have very good insurance but
- 18:46we still owe to over 100,000 dollars out of pocket to that
- 18:51hospital stay and we're going to do a walkathon for your family.
- 18:56So this was when Mitchell was alive with us and we came home
- 18:59with them medical bill and Hundreds of people showed up
- 19:02like 800 people. People, we didn't even know came
- 19:05out in droves for our family. To do a walkathon to help us
- 19:08raise money to help pay off our medical bill.
- 19:11Even while we had good insurance, yeah, Community.
- 19:15I mean you really through tragedy like that, you really
- 19:20see people coming together and supporting and helping one
- 19:25another and you made a foundation in his name.
- 19:30But before Jump into that. I wanted to ask you.
- 19:33So what made you write and publish a book was, there is,
- 19:40you know, obedience that the Lord was placing on your heart
- 19:43to do. Well, you know, and like it took
- 19:46like I said, it's 13 years now, it took me.
- 19:50It's finally published, but I wanted to get it out in our
- 19:5310-year anniversary, but it really took covid-19 to shut
- 19:57everything down to quiet, my world and quiet, take all our
- 20:01events, had to cancel, and put me in a space of its time.
- 20:06When I heard God speak to my spirit, he said to me daughter,
- 20:10It's time to write our story and it's been in my heart for so
- 20:15long. People always said you need to
- 20:17share your story, all the things that Mitchell was speaking to
- 20:20you beyond the veil of heaven and how God showed up in.
- 20:23So many ways for you that I documented and photographed in
- 20:27the book, you should people kept saying, you need to share your
- 20:31story, you need to tell your stories, you start hearing that
- 20:33enough, you like I know I need to tell it, I just have to find
- 20:36time to do it. So it really took covid that
- 20:39made me piss. Pivot.
- 20:40And I finally when I heard God speak to my spirit I when you
- 20:44hear God speak like that you move and I moved and for and I
- 20:49just prayed through the Holy Spirit every day to speak
- 20:51through. My heart, to my mind, to my
- 20:53fingers and everything, just kept flowing like rivers of
- 20:57water, out of my fingertips and prior to that nothing was
- 21:01flowing. Because quite frankly, it's all
- 21:02in God's perfect timing because prior to that I wasn't ready, my
- 21:06sister early on. When 3 years in after I was
- 21:10passing, she's like, oh my gosh, Mitchell's brought so many
- 21:13people closer to God, even our own family.
- 21:15I can't believe in all these people that came out for you and
- 21:17to walk for you and hundreds, and people are drawn to this
- 21:21drawn to you drawn to the story, there's something about
- 21:24Mitchell. And I talked about in the back
- 21:27of the book is how the Power of One Life can cause a ripple
- 21:30effect that goes on and on and on to touch so many others lives
- 21:34that draw people closer to the glory of God, which we can
- 21:37actually turn people to know. Our testimony and how God was
- 21:42faithful through it all. Even at times when we felt like
- 21:45he wasn't. So I am a big proponent of faith
- 21:49and so that's what started that Journey.
- 21:54So I took me 15 months to write it and another wonderful miracle
- 21:59that was in it. Was my first book submission
- 22:04book proposal to the very large Publishing House in New York,
- 22:08Morgan, James publishing. And I thought, you know, go big
- 22:11or go home, right? Let me start here, I didn't know
- 22:14where to go and I love it, you know?
- 22:17So they stay sent me. I have it hanging on my wall as
- 22:22we speak a congratulations letter.
- 22:23They sent it to me that they are going.
- 22:26They like the proposal that they are wanting to publish It's the
- 22:30manuscript and they that letter was sent the week of Mitchell's
- 22:34passing and I just waved that letter to the heavenlies, I was
- 22:38crying. I was like, oh my gosh, God, you
- 22:40do want your story out there through us and we're just a
- 22:44witness for God of everything that happened along this journey
- 22:50and how we came out of such pain and such tragedy that.
- 22:56The whole process of going through our healing and
- 22:59restoration that I write about in the book, which is a
- 23:03necessary point. For anyone going through trauma
- 23:07or tragedy, is to find someone that you can trust.
- 23:12And in our case, it was our spiritual counselor.
- 23:16I always have to go that route with my faith because I knew
- 23:20there were many things that had to be broken off my husband and
- 23:22I I'll for figure in this break off the doctors that couldn't
- 23:26find all the answers for giving them forgiving, people who said
- 23:30things that they shouldn't have, said, forgiving all that stuff
- 23:33that you're harboring that has to be broken off, for you to be
- 23:37set free. And when we went through that
- 23:40healing session, the very next day, I literally my husband.
- 23:46I were a wreck, we were exhausted, but the very next day
- 23:49it was like, we went through the refiners fire.
- 23:52And I woke up, totally transformed and changed.
- 23:55And I told my husband, I don't want to do anything else on this
- 23:59Earth, unless it has Eternal significance.
- 24:03And he looked at me and he said, wow, he says, you know, I feel
- 24:06the same, so we just were totally transform everything we
- 24:10did prior to an our life. I was in the fashion industry,
- 24:14my husband was in sales and marketing for a fitness
- 24:17industry. We gave it up and we started a
- 24:21foundation in Mitchell's honor and only because when I was in
- 24:27my deepest pain of grief, Again, the Lord spoke to my spirit, I'm
- 24:32curled up in a ball, right? He said this is not the end.
- 24:38This is the beginning. And I kind of shook up I sat, I
- 24:42said, what do you mean by that? This is not the end.
- 24:45This is the beginning. It feels like it's the end.
- 24:47I don't want to be here anymore. I like I lost part of my soul,
- 24:51died with my son and Brad got us a message when he was at the
- 24:57church over here like two days later and he said, you know, I
- 25:02heard of two boys, it had Hodgkin's lymphoma and one had
- 25:04Non-Hodgkin's both families struggling to make ends meet and
- 25:08God spoke to my spirit to A foundation.
- 25:10I we need a form a bridge here to help other families going
- 25:14through what we went through and he came home and told me God
- 25:17spoke to my spirit, we need to start a foundation and I looked
- 25:19into you undo, what are you you want to do what?
- 25:23But then I had to go back and realize what God said to me.
- 25:26This was not the end. This is the beginning.
- 25:30And I thought, okay, well then, there we go.
- 25:34We got on our hands and knees and pray, that God is the CEO of
- 25:37this foundation. And he's going to show us the
- 25:38way. And here we are 13 years later,
- 25:41giving to back 2.6 million dollars and Counting back into
- 25:46the community helping other families and children fighting
- 25:49for their tomorrow's. That's so great.
- 25:52That's wonderful. You know, it's, it's beyond us,
- 25:56right? You start to learn that.
- 25:57It's really about others, and Bring others and you know God
- 26:02just reveals that to us and it's a beautiful thing.
- 26:06Wow. Okay, can you leave us with a
- 26:09takeaway? I know I loved it.
- 26:11Asked each guest as we conclude in our episode here of just
- 26:16something that you can leave. Maybe the you know listener is
- 26:20lost someone or maybe you know, they're just going through a
- 26:26loss in general. Rather it be like a job or home.
- 26:29Home, or a friendship, some relationship.
- 26:33What is some encouragement that you can give them?
- 26:38Yes, loss comes in many forms, like you say, and my, I'm so big
- 26:45of hanging on to your faith. So Faith doesn't always take
- 26:51out. The problem.
- 26:53Faith takes you through the problem.
- 26:56And Faith doesn't always take away the pain.
- 26:59But Faith gives you the ability to handle the pain.
- 27:03And Faith doesn't always take you out of the storm but Faith
- 27:07calms you in the midst of the storm.
- 27:10So faith is a is one of the things I write about in the
- 27:14book. It's such an important principle
- 27:16to God. That I would say to your
- 27:20listeners, if you feel like you've lost your faith, ask
- 27:24yourself. How strong is my faith?
- 27:29And people will often say that to me.
- 27:30I my faith is not as strong as yours, I said, but you can find
- 27:34your faith and the only way you can find your faith is to get
- 27:37into the word of God. Find a good bible-based church,
- 27:41find and surround yourself with faith like-minded, people to
- 27:45help build you, and encouraged you along whatever, struggle
- 27:48you're going through. And God will take you there.
- 27:52He will speak to you through his word, but I also encourage
- 27:56people to get it. Don't get yourself isolated.
- 27:59That's what the enemy wants to do.
- 28:01Keep you isolated and away from others, and in your pain and
- 28:06then people don't, they don't turn to the faith and they turn
- 28:10to other things to numb, the pain, drugs alcohol, and that's
- 28:13not the answer. God is the answer.
- 28:16He's the only one ultimately who can heal and restore Amen to
- 28:21that, you know, Faith pleases God.
- 28:23Right? Yeah, faith is comes by hearing
- 28:27and hearing the word of God and we've all been given a Measure
- 28:33of Faith and faith is essential, okay?
- 28:36Where can people go and get your book or even?
- 28:40Just get to know this Foundation.
- 28:43Oh, yes, absolutely. The book just got released,

- 29:50Tragic deep experience and having those seeing you go
- 29:55through it with God and coming out on the other side with a
- 30:00beauty that only God can do. And to really take the focus off
- 30:06yourself and give it over to other people and serving others
- 30:11and by glorifying God through it all.
- 30:14It's just there's so much courage in that and there's so
- 30:18much inspiration. And what you do and your
- 30:21husband, after going through something like this.
- 30:24So thank you for sharing your voice, and your story, and
