- 0:00Speaker 1: Anybody do anything this week?
- 0:01Speaker 2: Yeah, anything happening this week? I have sadly report that
- 0:06Speaker 2: I have to watch smack Then every week.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Now, guys, it's been six years. I guess technically six
- 0:13Speaker 1: years twenty twenty twenty six, close to six years, but
- 0:17Speaker 1: I wow, yeah, I returned to WWE. I was on
- 0:22Speaker 1: SmackDown this week. Not a Zach Ryder. We heard the
- 0:26Speaker 1: woo woo, we got we got faked out. But it's
- 0:29Speaker 1: as Matt Cardona. So man, what a what a what
- 0:35Speaker 1: a night, what a what a ride? I want to
- 0:37Speaker 1: thank all you guys supposed to YouTube, Brian and Mark
- 0:40Speaker 1: with a social media posts and all the fans, everybody
- 0:43Speaker 1: who reached out. I definitely felt the love and support,
- 0:46Speaker 1: so so thank you very much.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Yeah, it seemed like there was a lot of people
- 0:52Speaker 3: posting very nice things but also really funny things. Did
- 0:55Speaker 3: you see the story that dark Shekh told, Yes I did, Frian,
- 1:00Speaker 3: did you see this?
- 1:01Speaker 2: I think someone sent it to me.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Yeah, the about the water that said I had to
- 1:06Speaker 3: send people somebody to get water and they said, oh, thanks,
- 1:11Speaker 3: that's really kind of you, and he said, not for everybody,
- 1:13Speaker 3: for me, And as I read that, I just saw
- 1:17Speaker 3: him going for me.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yeah, listen, what a journey guys, Like you know, we
- 1:25Speaker 1: got fired twenty twenty April fifteen, twenty twenty, and you know,
- 1:31Speaker 1: like I guess, the goal was always to get back,
- 1:34Speaker 1: but it wasn't like from day one, what have I
- 1:37Speaker 1: got to do to get back to W I couldn't
- 1:38Speaker 1: think like that, you know, I couldn't think and I
- 1:42Speaker 1: certainly couldn't think like with negativity or bitterness. I just knew.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And I've posted about this, like, I had three options.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I could be bitter, be negative, feel feel sorry for myself,
- 1:53Speaker 1: and fade into obscurity. I could just coast off the
- 1:57Speaker 1: WW name and play the greatest hits and make money
- 2:00Speaker 1: for the rest of my life. Or I could reinvent myself,
- 2:04Speaker 1: try to outwork every motherfucker out there and create my
- 2:08Speaker 1: own path. And I chose option three. And it wasn't easy.
- 2:12Speaker 1: You know, it might seem like it was easy, but
- 2:14Speaker 1: it wasn't. And it was a lot of ups and
- 2:16Speaker 1: downs and a lot of hard work, but it all
- 2:18Speaker 1: paid off, you know.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean my post here on the screen, you know,
- 2:23Speaker 2: I meant every word of it, you know, And I
- 2:25Speaker 2: think it goes without saying that I'm proud of you
- 2:28Speaker 2: and happy for you. But I think the bigger picture
- 2:31Speaker 2: is like what I think you were able to show
- 2:33Speaker 2: people what's possible, you know, because I think a lot
- 2:36Speaker 2: of people sometimes get lost in that, in that bubble
- 2:40Speaker 2: and the woe is me when you know, wrestling doesn't
- 2:43Speaker 2: know anyone anything. You know, it's what you don't it's
- 2:45Speaker 2: what you put into it, what you get back. TJ
- 2:48Speaker 2: and I were talking about yesterday and we were laughing,
- 2:50Speaker 2: We're like Matt was signed at twenty and then again
- 2:53Speaker 2: at forty. I just thought so like, oh my god,
- 2:58Speaker 2: but like that's funny in a way, but also like
- 3:02Speaker 2: it's also like anything's possible, right, everybody's story is different. No,
- 3:06Speaker 2: there's no no, you know what I mean. The only
- 3:09Speaker 2: one's gonna tell you no is you if you accept
- 3:11Speaker 2: it and don't try anymore.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You know, I tell guys and girls all the time,
- 3:15Speaker 1: but they ask for advice. I say, like you said, Brian,
- 3:18Speaker 1: nobody has the same journey, No one has the same path. No,
- 3:22Speaker 1: there's no blueprint, right, Like you might make it if
- 3:26Speaker 1: you don't quit, and you definitely won't make it if
- 3:28Speaker 1: you quit, So just don't quit. It's as easy as that.
- 3:30Speaker 1: It's the only advice I can give people. And that's
- 3:32Speaker 1: the advice I kind of, maybe delusionly optimistically told myself
- 3:37Speaker 1: every single day, you know. And there are certainly times
- 3:40Speaker 1: where listen, like the crowd's rabit hot, I'm making all
- 3:44Speaker 1: this money on merchant, I'm loving life. And then there
- 3:46Speaker 1: are days where I'm in the middle of nowhere, there's
- 3:49Speaker 1: not a tweet about the show, and I'm thinking what
- 3:50Speaker 1: am I doing with my life? You know, like we've all.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Been there, right. Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 3: That being said, though, mat just from being around you,
- 4:00Speaker 3: I don't think that you let this goal like consume
- 4:03Speaker 3: your thoughts. I think, right like you had a great
- 4:07Speaker 3: time and you and it certainly was at the top
- 4:11Speaker 3: of your mind. But I think that like you would
- 4:14Speaker 3: have been fine if it never happened, right like you?
- 4:16Speaker 3: You you sort of you made your your your businesses
- 4:20Speaker 3: and and and you pushed on that stuff. And I
- 4:23Speaker 3: don't know what what what would you say to that?
- 4:25Speaker 1: No, I made a post about it the other day,
- 4:27Speaker 1: like these past five years in the Indies were the
- 4:30Speaker 1: greatest time of my career, uh so far. And like
- 4:35Speaker 1: I said earlier, it wasn't like what do I gonna
- 4:37Speaker 1: do to get them notice me?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Game?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. But of course, like every day when
- 4:40Speaker 1: I woke up, I would say, Okay, my goal is
- 4:42Speaker 1: to get back there, you know, and I did all
- 4:45Speaker 1: the things I could do to control. But also like
- 4:48Speaker 1: if it didn't happen, I built something outside and it's
- 4:51Speaker 1: not like, Okay, it's not like I was never there.
- 4:54Speaker 1: If I was never there and never got to w
- 4:56Speaker 1: w ever, it'd be devastating, right, and I think I'd
- 5:01Speaker 1: be a little bummed up and never got back there again.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Right at least I could say, well, I was there,
- 5:05Speaker 1: you know. I want the intercoll time on wrestlming.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I do want to say that for those that haven't,
- 5:09Speaker 2: like because I say this all the time too, like
- 5:11Speaker 2: it would be very hypocritical if Matt and I were
- 5:12Speaker 2: like whatever, But because we've lived WW lives and dreams,
- 5:17Speaker 2: so like, I always think everyone's going to find that
- 5:19Speaker 2: out for themselves if that's for them, or you know,
- 5:21Speaker 2: or at least try it once to see you know
- 5:24Speaker 2: what it's like. I mean, because so if you haven't,
- 5:27Speaker 2: you got to go for it. The truth is I
- 5:29Speaker 2: didn't grow up wanting to be a pro wrestler.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Group wanted to be a WWE wrestler, a WWE superstar,
- 5:36Speaker 1: right so, and you know you saw like Cody and
- 5:41Speaker 1: Kevin Owen's making fun of me a couple of months ago,
- 5:43Speaker 1: right like that, he's so good that I brought it
- 5:45Speaker 1: up all the time, because I only brought it up
- 5:47Speaker 1: when I was asked, first of all.
- 5:48Speaker 2: But of course that was fairly true.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Of course I wanted to work. You know where my
- 5:54Speaker 1: wife works. Of Course I wanted to work the place
- 5:56Speaker 1: I grew up wanting to work. Of course I want
- 5:59Speaker 1: I wanted to wrest so manium moment again and wrestling
- 6:01Speaker 1: mass worguard again, or walk into Target or Walmart and
- 6:04Speaker 1: see my figure again. And now all that stuff is possible.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I'm very grateful for it, man, and listen, there were
- 6:09Speaker 1: certainly times I thought it's never gonna happen. Like I
- 6:13Speaker 1: remember one time calling SDL up when we were together.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'm like, you need to go your own way because
- 6:18Speaker 1: I think I'm holding you back because you're never gonna
- 6:19Speaker 1: get there with me. But I'm serious, really Like, there
- 6:25Speaker 1: was a point, like a couple of times where I'm like,
- 6:27Speaker 1: it's not happening, because like if not, now, when is
- 6:31Speaker 1: it going to happen?
- 6:32Speaker 2: Right?
- 6:32Speaker 3: What else would you?
- 6:33Speaker 1: What also I have to do?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Like but no, no, Like that's the thing.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I just I just didn't. I just didn't quit. I
- 6:40Speaker 1: didn't take no for an answer, you know, I.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Just you also took every possible opportunity that you had.
- 6:47Speaker 3: I mean, you had an insane year this year, working
- 6:50Speaker 3: for so many companies. You know, it's just it's absolutely insane.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And that's another thing too. It's like I took every
- 7:00Speaker 1: booking everybody, the good, the bad, the ugly, right, Like,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I just wanted to get out there, and I learned
- 7:07Speaker 1: from every single booking out there, every single opponent. I
- 7:12Speaker 1: learned something from, right, And like that's why I tell
- 7:14Speaker 1: people work as much as possible. Yeah, Like, seriously, work
- 7:19Speaker 1: as many shows as possible. Some people they only want
- 7:22Speaker 1: to do the big ones. Like of course, everyone wants
- 7:24Speaker 1: to only do the big ones.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Hey. Another thing that Tyson Kidds said yesterday during a
- 7:29Speaker 2: seminar that I didn't really ever think about, and it
- 7:34Speaker 2: doesn't apply to in this moment because right now WW
- 7:37Speaker 2: is doing that holiday tour and they're going to be
- 7:39Speaker 2: in overseas, but ind you guys have a chance to
- 7:43Speaker 2: have like double the reps of a WW superstar, right,
- 7:48Speaker 2: And that's how you get better. You know, the more
- 7:49Speaker 2: shows you do, the more you learn, the more whatever. Then,
- 7:51Speaker 2: like you said, the good, the bad, whatever, you just
- 7:53Speaker 2: do them all. That's how you learn in this business.
- 7:56Speaker 2: And like to a degree, WW superstars aren't getting fast
- 7:59Speaker 2: checked like they are because it's not possible. There's no shows,
- 8:01Speaker 2: you know, it's just your TVs. So like in you
- 8:04Speaker 2: guys have the run of it like you guys have
- 8:06Speaker 2: like the that's a cool perspective, I think. Right, that's crazy.
- 8:09Speaker 3: And there are areas too where you can have five
- 8:14Speaker 3: shows a week.
- 8:15Speaker 2: For sure. There's plenty of CAP guys busting their masket
- 8:17Speaker 2: in the car going up and down these coasts, you know,
- 8:19Speaker 2: two or three times a weekend, working everything they can.
- 8:22Speaker 3: It's crazy. There's this young brother up here in New England,
- 8:27Speaker 3: very new I think, two years in and he wrote
- 8:30Speaker 3: that he had one hundred and seventy eight matches I
- 8:34Speaker 3: leave twenty twenty five.
- 8:35Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I saw him on New Year's and I go, I'm like,
- 8:38Speaker 3: come on. I was like, I'm trying to do the math.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Here are you counting practice matches? And he's like no,
- 8:44Speaker 3: He's like no, and he showed me his cage match
- 8:46Speaker 3: and his cage match had one hundred and fifty something
- 8:49Speaker 3: and he said, I know it says only say one
- 8:50Speaker 3: hundred and fifty, but there was some like really crappy
- 8:51Speaker 3: shows I did that it didn't count. But he actually
- 8:54Speaker 3: did it.
- 8:55Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 8:56Speaker 3: And you know this is not some big name INDI guy,
- 9:00Speaker 3: so so it's possible if you do it. But I
- 9:03Speaker 3: did want to mention Broski. I talked a lot about
- 9:05Speaker 3: the I posted about the hard work and sort of
- 9:10Speaker 3: what you did and how insane you were. You know,
- 9:15Speaker 3: sometimes you're the hardest worker I've ever met. Sometimes I
- 9:17Speaker 3: think to a detriment, which you know, sometimes you agree.
- 9:22Speaker 3: But it's funny because it recently there's been a lot
- 9:25Speaker 3: of talk in my life about this hard work by
- 9:28Speaker 3: I was talking to my daughter about she started basketball.
- 9:31Speaker 3: She's nervous if she's going to be good at it,
- 9:34Speaker 3: you know, and I'm trying to tell her that, you know,
- 9:37Speaker 3: you're not going to be good at it unless you try,
- 9:40Speaker 3: and you certainly can be good at it if if
- 9:44Speaker 3: you work hard at it. If you practice, you're dribbling.
- 9:46Speaker 3: If you go out and you and you try shooting.
- 9:48Speaker 3: And that's why I wrote that, it's kind of it's
- 9:50Speaker 3: kind of a lesson for everybody. I mean, it's a
- 9:52Speaker 3: lesson that parents can give their kids. As as corny
- 9:56Speaker 3: as that is, as to say, if you work hard
- 10:00Speaker 3: enough at something, it will happen. And this is this
- 10:05Speaker 3: is proof some of these shows. Man, you could have
- 10:09Speaker 3: just went, you could have just did the match, but
- 10:12Speaker 3: instead you brought a Jurassic Park jeep that every time
- 10:17Speaker 3: an entourage of people, Yeah, book the right thing. You
- 10:21Speaker 3: made a moment you got to figure out of it.
- 10:24Speaker 3: You could have just did a match.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Well, I you know, I listen. I can't say that
- 10:28Speaker 1: I treated every single match like it was WrestleMania, because
- 10:30Speaker 1: I would be a lie. But I tried to treat
- 10:32Speaker 1: every single match like it was a big deal, right,
- 10:35Speaker 1: because if it wasn't, then what am I even doing right?
- 10:38Speaker 2: Right? Why would it be big deals? With people paying it?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Come exactly right. I tell that to people all the time.
- 10:43Speaker 1: If it's not a big deal to me, that's not
- 10:44Speaker 1: big deal to anybody. Like listen, at the end of
- 10:46Speaker 1: the day. It's an independent show, even like the biggest
- 10:49Speaker 1: GCW show is an independent show in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Right,
- 10:53Speaker 1: But if I have to treat it like it's WrestleMania
- 10:56Speaker 1: in Atlantic City, New Jersey or else, it's nothing else.
- 11:00Speaker 1: What am I even like getting out of bed for?
- 11:02Speaker 2: You know?
- 11:03Speaker 1: But yeah, the support over the past five years, every
- 11:07Speaker 1: promoter who booked me, you know, everyone who brought me
- 11:08Speaker 1: in for a signing, every fan who showed support, you know,
- 11:13Speaker 1: the podcast fans, like every opponent, thank you.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I have a question, how sad have all these promoters
- 11:18Speaker 2: been that you told them you're not coming to their
- 11:20Speaker 2: shows anymore? And part two, how many of the boys
- 11:23Speaker 2: have just been like cockroaches trying to scoop up your
- 11:26Speaker 2: bookings and stuff. Because I'll admit I was like, ooh,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I would hop on that Adrian tour in Australia, but
- 11:32Speaker 2: the name date I want.
- 11:34Speaker 3: I wanted to defend his ACW championship.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I'm like, without Roski there, I can get me and
- 11:38Speaker 2: two of my friends in there to fill that spot.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Be the same somebody, Adrian.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Somebody asked me for Broski's right, I said, two thousand
- 11:46Speaker 3: dollars less.
- 11:48Speaker 1: What a deal. Yeah, listen, it's unfortunate that, you know,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I had bookings up until the summer that had cancel.
- 11:54Speaker 2: But that's that's that's that's the rope the show business.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Don't thing anyone's upset by it, right, No.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Well, some some fans were trying to make a joke
- 12:02Speaker 3: up about it.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yeah, well whatever, it doesn't bother me.
- 12:04Speaker 3: But I did. Yeah, Ben Bishop, that.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Was actually a fun way should holiday all those guys. Uh, yeah,
- 12:14Speaker 2: I listen, it was a hell of a ride. And uh,
- 12:16Speaker 2: it's a depth the five years on the indies. It's
- 12:19Speaker 2: it's for the book. Like I couldn't I couldn't summon
- 12:21Speaker 2: it up here. I couldn't sum it up in a
- 12:23Speaker 2: social media post.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Uh, you know. And I'll say this, I don't really
- 12:26Speaker 1: want to do some some things I want to keep
- 12:28Speaker 1: close to the vest, you know. But I will say
- 12:31Speaker 1: this when I when I signed my WW contract, which
- 12:35Speaker 1: now everything's you know, you're not actually signing paper, it's
- 12:37Speaker 1: all you know on your phone whatever.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Oh my god, I can't even believe that I signed.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I signed it with my g CW title like on
- 12:45Speaker 1: my lap, you know, because it was over GCW. Then
- 12:47Speaker 1: I wouldn't be the the Indie God. If it wasn't
- 12:51Speaker 1: for the Indie God, I wouldn't be.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Back in w W. A I don't.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I I firmly believe that. So when I got fired,
- 12:56Speaker 1: I looked at that picture of me being my dad
- 12:58Speaker 1: wrestle media, and I got rehired. I was holding that
- 13:01Speaker 1: GCW title. So I'm very sentimental like that.
- 13:04Speaker 2: You know, good thing Mark suggested you do that match
- 13:07Speaker 2: changed your life.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I did suggest I did suggest you have a match
- 13:12Speaker 3: with thinks. Two questions one, yeah, Uh do you think
- 13:19Speaker 3: that now you will have time to shit?
- 13:22Speaker 2: No?
- 13:22Speaker 1: I think I'll actually have less time, really less time. Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I will say this also, like this month of December
- 13:31Speaker 1: has been the most stressful month of my life. Like
- 13:34Speaker 1: mental health is a real thing, bro Like like not
- 13:38Speaker 1: that I didn't think it was real, but like I
- 13:39Speaker 1: never really experienced it.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Like this half had me and Mark's a little stressed
- 13:42Speaker 2: and I was stressed about nothing.
- 13:43Speaker 1: And I listen again, I'm not going to get into
- 13:45Speaker 1: all the details, but uh, it was kind of like
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'll tell you exactly when. So after the SmackDown thing
- 13:52Speaker 1: with La and Night, that's kind of when the ball
- 13:53Speaker 1: got rolling right where there was like discussions like I
- 13:56Speaker 1: will be in touch blah blah blah, and Brent, I'm
- 14:00Speaker 1: if you remember we were at wrestle Kid and I
- 14:01Speaker 1: was at dinner like after we had the match, and
- 14:03Speaker 1: I left and I went and took a phone call
- 14:06Speaker 1: like I don't know if you remember that, but like
- 14:07Speaker 1: that's when like I got.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Through all like the express of martinis but show.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Like that's when I got the call like hey, you
- 14:14Speaker 1: know we're interested, let's let's start talking. I was like,
- 14:16Speaker 1: oh boy, all right, here we go. So it was
- 14:21Speaker 1: very stressful in a good way, right, like not bad stress, right,
- 14:24Speaker 1: but still like is this gonna happen?
- 14:26Speaker 2: Is this not gonna happen? Just the particular all right?
- 14:29Speaker 1: And then finally signed Christmas week, so it was like
- 14:33Speaker 1: very sudden, there's like, okay, am I zach am I Matt,
- 14:36Speaker 1: so I'm having both sets of gear made and designed.
- 14:39Speaker 2: My heart sank when I heard that.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Me too, because I knew that you only brought the
- 14:46Speaker 3: mad cardonah gear.
- 14:49Speaker 2: We need a fresh start. That's not a fresh start.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and listen, I want to thank Downstate for the
- 14:54Speaker 1: years with that with that song, right, Uh, it was
- 14:57Speaker 1: time that. You know, they wanted something fresh and I
- 15:00Speaker 1: actually dig the new music. Uh, I liked it. Yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 1: I liked it. I finished, which which is awesome. Like
- 15:06Speaker 1: I like that that that slogan put on the T
- 15:08Speaker 1: shirt TTD, thank you for the T shirt. But man
- 15:13Speaker 1: like that. Even even that day going to SmackDown they
- 15:16Speaker 1: smacked I was in Buffalo, I flew into Rochester, so
- 15:20Speaker 1: no one was seeing me at the airport, right, and
- 15:22Speaker 1: then I was hidden in the room all day. I'm like, oh,
- 15:24Speaker 1: this is like I just want to I just want
- 15:28Speaker 1: the news to be out there.
- 15:29Speaker 2: You know. I said I was the same way, and
- 15:31Speaker 2: I have nothing really to do with it.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and I also want my loose lips sterling moniker
- 15:38Speaker 3: to be eliminated, okay, because I did a good job here.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:43Speaker 2: So I was fishedly doing a mac cart on a
- 15:45Speaker 2: shoot interview yesterday at ken Con, everybody nobody asked me.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Somebody asked me a goddamn question about myself.
- 15:51Speaker 1: This weekend we got on un but yeah, the match
- 15:56Speaker 1: was was was fun. Uh, kit is awesome to be
- 16:00Speaker 1: That's a he's a pro wrestler. Looks great, you the ring,
- 16:03Speaker 1: great gimmick, he.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Great hipswivel on this guy. Yeah, is Joe Shoe's seen him?
- 16:11Speaker 2: It's not rocking with well Rick books like the rockstar
- 16:15Speaker 2: guy was his favorite. Maybe Kid's gonna be the tickest place.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Well, he might be jealous because Shoes had the hip
- 16:20Speaker 3: swivel Championship of the World.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and Shoes is toxic, so maybe.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And I will say, guys, that stage is still slippery.
- 16:28Speaker 1: By the way, I could tell you're walking real slow
- 16:30Speaker 1: to get past that slippery. But guys, does this mean
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm back in the elite squad?
- 16:37Speaker 2: I don't understand how you couldn't be.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I have to assume that you are now the leader
- 16:42Speaker 3: of they should come crawling.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Oh are we gonna see some has a partnership, so
- 16:47Speaker 2: I'd be gladly there to help you. Guys.
- 16:49Speaker 3: There's gotta be some video where you show up day one.
- 16:51Speaker 3: You're the new boss. You're telling no, you.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Need to come in like alright gold with a paintball
- 16:56Speaker 2: gun and be like out of here. I see Sam
- 17:03Speaker 2: Roberts got him around the corner. Oh boy, Kina was
- 17:10Speaker 2: in Japan marking out and I think he thought he
- 17:12Speaker 2: was in like a fever dream, like he's upset he's
- 17:14Speaker 2: gonna make a bill.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I said, all back. He finally responded, it took him
- 17:18Speaker 1: a while.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Oh geez, yeah, did you post that that was too
- 17:21Speaker 2: many stocky bombs?
- 17:24Speaker 1: Uh?
- 17:25Speaker 3: Here's the other question I had, Rosky. Has anyone ever okay,
- 17:32Speaker 3: for example, Scott Hall, he was remote, he went to
- 17:34Speaker 3: w CW, he became Scott Hall. He came back to
- 17:37Speaker 3: ww E as Scott Hall. Has anybody ever left and
- 17:43Speaker 3: reinvented themselves on the indies and came back as their reinvention.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I saw you, I heard you mention that on silver linings,
- 17:52Speaker 1: and I didn't even put that together, Like, I don't
- 17:54Speaker 1: know if that's I don't know if that ever happened
- 17:58Speaker 1: where you're saying strictly like in I.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Mean obviously Diesel, Kevin Ash, maybe.
- 18:06Speaker 3: A TNA person who like spent years in TNA and
- 18:08Speaker 3: like reinvent themselves or whatever the hell, but like you know, uh,
- 18:13Speaker 3: you reinvented yourself so huge on independent professional wrestling that
- 18:19Speaker 3: they were like, nah, the more valuable thing here is Macardona,
- 18:23Speaker 3: not Zach Ryder, the guy that we we made years ago.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Again, I said anything as possible, man. You know, no
- 18:29Speaker 2: is only no if you believe it and stop trying, right.
- 18:32Speaker 1: And I said this before and people they I think
- 18:34Speaker 1: a lot of people thought it was like a shot
- 18:36Speaker 1: or but it was never meant as a shot when
- 18:38Speaker 1: I would say, WWE was my developmental but it taught
- 18:42Speaker 1: me everything I needed to thrive and succeed on the indies,
- 18:46Speaker 1: where I'm like, how come no one's doing this? How
- 18:48Speaker 1: come no one's doing that? How come no one knows
- 18:50Speaker 1: how to do like an interview? How come nobody could
- 18:53Speaker 1: talking sound bites? How come nobody commion experience? It's stuff
- 18:58Speaker 1: I learned in WWE. And then I flipped the script
- 19:01Speaker 1: and became what people what they love me for w
- 19:04Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm gonna make them hate me for that now,
- 19:07Speaker 1: So like ww set me up for that indie run
- 19:09Speaker 1: and then I just ran with it, you know, And
- 19:12Speaker 1: now back as Matt Cardona, it's it's surreal to be honest,
- 19:17Speaker 1: Like I don't want to say I don't I don't
- 19:20Speaker 1: even know how to describe it. It feels like it
- 19:25Speaker 1: was just meant to be where it's like I don't
- 19:27Speaker 1: feel like any difference, Like Okay, I'm in w like
- 19:29Speaker 1: that's what it was supposed to happen, you know what
- 19:30Speaker 1: I'm saying, right, Like, of course I'm excited and I'm proud,
- 19:35Speaker 1: but it's.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Like, okay, well and then like we go, within a
- 19:37Speaker 2: month or barely, you'll be right back in the think
- 19:41Speaker 2: of things and just it is what it is. It's
- 19:42Speaker 2: your job, you know.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I kind of feel that already, Like I feel like this,
- 19:46Speaker 1: like this is maybe like naive to say, but I
- 19:50Speaker 1: feel like I was meant to be here, so like
- 19:51Speaker 1: I just feel like it's part of the process, you know,
- 19:53Speaker 1: it's everyone has a different story and this is just
- 19:56Speaker 1: part of my roller coaster ride. And I love roller coasters.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You guys know that at the Universe baby coming up smokes.
- 20:03Speaker 3: And to put button on this. Going Forward to the
- 20:06Speaker 3: Future podcast every Monday. Live, podcast audio drops every Friday,
- 20:13Speaker 3: podcast video drops every Saturday. We will try to have
- 20:16Speaker 3: a vlog every Monday on the YouTube channel. Broski will
- 20:20Speaker 3: still be doing figures everything on Patreon.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Stays Yeah. The To answer the questions everyone was asking,
- 20:29Speaker 1: the podcast is safe, major is safe? Guys? Well, you know,
- 20:34Speaker 1: maybe sometimes there'll be some scheduling issues, but we've never
- 20:37Speaker 1: missed a week ever.
- 20:38Speaker 2: We're gonna say a lot of people asking me about
- 20:40Speaker 2: live shows. I mean, that's the only thing with scheduling, right,
- 20:43Speaker 2: I literally said, I think it's just a schedule permitting thing.
- 20:47Speaker 2: And I also said, worst case, I'm especially in our
- 20:51Speaker 2: new format, Mark and I can certainly handle a guest
- 20:55Speaker 2: in an interview and a meet and greet. And then
- 20:58Speaker 2: if someone named Macardona come to said location to hang
- 21:01Speaker 2: out after, right, no one's gonna stop that, you.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Know, Yeah, it's just a scheduling thing. And and someone
- 21:08Speaker 1: just he Cruz has wrote this. I gotta say it
- 21:10Speaker 1: because I know it's Bride's favorite quota vide is that
- 21:13Speaker 1: this whole journey was never about proving people wrong. It's
- 21:16Speaker 1: about proving myself.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Jo Shoes is what it was. Really. I mean, I
- 21:25Speaker 2: was hearing it and then he said, I'm like, yeah, bro,
- 21:28Speaker 2: I've heard that one a lot.
- 21:29Speaker 1: See, that's something I learned in WWE. Is how you
- 21:31Speaker 1: talking sound bites? You know what I'm saying.
- 21:33Speaker 2: You know, like that clip a couple of months ago
- 21:36Speaker 2: is going around of Regal doing U manga and it
- 21:38Speaker 2: was like ninety seconds worth. You probably get like a
- 21:41Speaker 2: good you one like Van Vleet and everything. Ariel Hawani
- 21:45Speaker 2: would be like the same if someone myself wrong, rude
- 21:51Speaker 2: myself ro I.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Also want somebody to cut together a highlight video of
- 21:56Speaker 3: all the times that babyface chanted chicken to you, just
- 22:00Speaker 3: like a whole ya getting and then you.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Going how you're going to wrestle without the Internet title
- 22:07Speaker 2: and hold people up and they duck and you hit
- 22:09Speaker 2: the wrong out at the belt. Happened?
- 22:12Speaker 1: I so nothing. I've retired. I'm still the Internet Champion,
- 22:15Speaker 1: but it's it came out of my gear bag, you know.
- 22:18Speaker 1: And I said, I have a permanent place in the
- 22:20Speaker 1: new toy room office with the old Internet title. Just
- 22:24Speaker 1: but the old inner time might be new again. Maybe
- 22:29Speaker 1: the shell makes the new Internet title with my new figure.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Who knows. I don't know, but guys, thank you so
- 22:35Speaker 1: much for support. I'm back Jack. Oh look at Chelsea,
- 22:38Speaker 1: Chelsea Green. I'll tell you what she is not happy.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I don't know if we're gonna ride together, guys, like, honestly,
- 22:46Speaker 1: for your marriage, I don't think you should. That's too
- 22:48Speaker 1: much time together. I'm honestly, I don't know if we're
- 22:51Speaker 1: gonna ride together or travel together.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Like like I said, I'm literally suggesting you don't because I
- 22:55Speaker 2: feel like that's too much time together.
- 22:57Speaker 1: So like, for instance, like I flew into like I said,
- 22:59Speaker 1: I've we went to Rochester, not Buffalo. So by the
- 23:02Speaker 1: time I got to the hotel room, it was like
- 23:03Speaker 1: well after one o'clock and I had to wake her
- 23:06Speaker 1: up because I needed to get tanned because I couldn't
- 23:09Speaker 1: get a tan because the day before was New Year's Day,
- 23:12Speaker 1: tanning salon closed barber shop clothes, so she had to
- 23:16Speaker 1: tan my back like one in the morning. She did
- 23:18Speaker 1: like that, and then after the after SmackDown, I'm you know,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I'm celebrating, you know, Cody invites me on the bus
- 23:24Speaker 1: for for a cocktail. Chelsea's let's go. I couldn't even
- 23:28Speaker 1: I had to chug the old fashion I couldn't even
- 23:33Speaker 1: enjoy knock it on the.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Bus doorst girl or whatever's going on? Yeah yeah, what
- 23:44Speaker 2: a what a what a what a story? First ever
- 23:49Speaker 2: Ken Con guys.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Our transition.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Yeah all right, well, oh yeah, I get the shirt.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I'm not finished on w shop dot com and the
- 23:57Speaker 1: song will be coming out very very soon. Get the shirt, baby.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I bought the shirt, but I also Mackenzie wanted a
- 24:03Speaker 2: new Morgan shirt, so nothing is shipped. Yet I don't know.
- 24:06Speaker 1: And I will say this is ttd's first time designing
- 24:11Speaker 1: a a Matt Cardona WW shirt. He's done a lot
- 24:14Speaker 1: of Matt Cordona shirts. First time with the WW shirts
- 24:19Speaker 1: with thank you, TTD. I love you know Ryan Rick
- 24:23Speaker 1: Michaels who made the gear, like you guys, Oh without you,
- 24:27Speaker 1: I don't know where I'd be working so fast around
- 24:30Speaker 1: the clock. You know, appreciate it, like maybe my gear
- 24:33Speaker 1: was falling apart a little bit because Rick made it
- 24:35Speaker 1: in twenty four hours, but it came.
- 24:37Speaker 2: It came.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Thank you, guys. I love all you major marks And
- 24:42Speaker 1: as that Hogan bashing brawler says, I'm back.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Jack Nate Mean says they saw Matt label as an
- 24:48Speaker 3: all rounder on his cage match, so they had to rehire.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Definitely perfect over the edge they were, they were iffy,
- 24:55Speaker 2: but then they read your cage match, right, we should
- 24:57Speaker 2: bring him back. M
