- 0:00Speaker 1: That was going on Rome. Oh, we got a lot
- 0:01to get into this morning. I hope you like it.
- 0:04Let's talk about the cards you play to get what
- 0:08you want, right, there's a lot of you out there,
- 0:10especially in your relationships. You know, you got that card,
- 0:14that wild card that you're just holding on to that
- 0:16you'll play for women most of the time. It's sex,
- 0:20you know, it's for your husbands. You just if you
- 0:22want something out of your man, you just give him
- 0:23sex and kind of get what you want.
- 0:26Speaker 2: So you play the sex card.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I was thinking about this the other day because a
- 0:30friend of mine was over at his house and we
- 0:33were having some beers, beers and whiskey in the backyard,
- 0:36just hanging out, you know, and his wife he plays
- 0:40the drunk card on her, on her husband, on my buddy,
- 0:46and he knows it, and he still can't stop it,
- 0:50right because he's he's kind of a cheap dude.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Like he doesn't really like spending a lot of money.
- 0:56Speaker 1: He doesn't really like going, you know, spending money on
- 0:58vacations and things like that, or you know, concert tickets,
- 1:03or he's just kind of a dude. He's kind of
- 1:04a stay at.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Home dude, and he uh, but man.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Once he once he starts having a couple, he loosens up.
- 1:15He wants to hang out. I mean, he's a fun
- 1:17guy when he's drunk, just absolutely incredible.
- 1:20Speaker 2: To be with.
- 1:21Speaker 1: And he starts paying for stuff money, and he has money,
- 1:25so it's not like he's breaking the bank. But every
- 1:29time his wife wants something or she wants to get
- 1:32something for the kids, it's kind of an extra, you know,
- 1:36kind of a something they want that you know, he
- 1:40really wouldn't want to buy or pay for. When he's uh,
- 1:45you know, sober, she plays that card. She just waits
- 1:48and now everybody knows it. Her kids, her dad's out
- 1:53having you know, dad's drinking, having fun. He likes to
- 1:56have more fun. You know, he figured and and he
- 1:59knows it. We all make fun of them because of it.
- 2:02Just wait, We even say that in our friend group,
- 2:05like just wait till he gets drunk. Then was like
- 2:07if we want to go, like if we want to
- 2:09plan a weekend to go do something, we just wait
- 2:12till he gets it, gets a little tipsy, and then
- 2:14we say, hey, let's go do this with everybody.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, let's do it. And then there you go right,
- 2:19So everybody's got a.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Card like that that they play with their spouse, with
- 2:24their relationship. I mean, maybe you got a card you
- 2:27play at work. You got a wild card in your
- 2:29back pocket that you use to get what you want?
- 2:32Speaker 2: What is it? And for two five four or seven
- 2:35to seven? All right? So let's talk about the cards
- 2:38you play to.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Get what you want, right, The sex card, the drunk card,
- 2:44I don't know, pick a card that you use to
- 2:47make me feel guilty card, whatever that may be, to
- 2:50get what you want. Everybody does it. The sympathy card.
- 2:54Is that what that is called? Alrighty for two to five,
- 2:56four seven seven? In Romeo, it's funny that you say that.
- 3:00Every time I want to go out to dinner and
- 3:04I don't want to cook, I play the sex card
- 3:06not having sex with my husband. I just take a shower,
- 3:09start to get ready, walk around half naked, and he
- 3:13starts looking at me like what's going on? And I say,
- 3:16I just want to go out to dinner. And every
- 3:19time he takes me out to dinner, doesn't matter if
- 3:22he just worked all day, doesn't matter, if he's got
- 3:25other things to do. He always takes me out to dinner.
- 3:31But that's what I mean, it works, right. I don't
- 3:33know if do guys have a card to play with
- 3:36their wives? I mean, do you guys have a wild
- 3:39card or something in your back pocket to use to
- 3:41get what you want out of your wife or your girlfriend?
- 3:44Or girlfriend's probably pretty easy, but your wife, I mean,
- 3:47how exactly does that work?
- 3:49Speaker 2: All right? Hey? Four two five or seven to seven?
- 3:52Speaker 1: Because men, I think men are pretty stupid, right, Either
- 3:56you get him drunk or you give him sex, and
- 3:58they pretty much give you whatever you want, a specially
- 4:00if they actually love you and care about You're right,
- 4:02It's that simple. I don't know what dudes do. What
- 4:05card do you play to get what you want?
- 4:08Speaker 2: Already? Four two five four seven to seven? All right?
- 4:11Speaker 1: So everybody's got a card they play right in their
- 4:13back pocket just in case, you know, they got to
- 4:16use it for something to get what they want.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Yeah, what do you got already? Four two five, four
- 4:23seven to seven? A Romeo.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I know this might sound a little shady, but I
- 4:29am a single mom with three kids, and going out
- 4:34to dinner is very expensive nowadays, so I always play
- 4:38the Grandpa card, I call my dad, or I have
- 4:40one of the kids call my dad and say, say,
- 4:44Pop pak, can we go out to dinner? And every
- 4:47time he says yes and takes all of us out
- 4:50to dinner. My mom knows I play that card. She's
- 4:55okay with it, but I don't know if he does
- 4:58or not.
- 4:59Speaker 2: But it always worked. That's what I'm playing, right.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Everybody's got a card they play, Hey roam. If I
- 5:08need him to do something and he lags on me,
- 5:11I explicit I explicitly say I'll just do it myself,
- 5:17he jumps right up.
- 5:20Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, right. What cars do you play?
- 5:23What cars do you play? To get what you want? Already?
- 5:26Speaker 1: Four two five fours seven to seven? By the way,
- 5:30that one where you uh, where you say you'll do
- 5:32it yourself, I've heard that card where where the wife
- 5:35will say, well, I'll just call my dad to do it,
- 5:38and he will also jump right up and get it
- 5:40done already four two five.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Fours seven seven? What card do you play to get
- 5:45what you want? Already? Four two five four seven to seven?
- 5:50Speaker 1: Uh, Hey, rome O, My wife is down to have
- 5:53sex with me anytime, but if I want some freaky
- 5:55crazy sex, I have to give her a couple of
- 5:58drinks and his own. I guess you play the drunk
- 6:04card to get what you want too. That's all it takes.
- 6:10Rome Hey, what I do is just always I let
- 6:16these females know what number they are, kind of like
- 6:19the DMV. If you're a number twelve and you know
- 6:23there are eleven girls in front of you, you know
- 6:25you got to step it up and go above and
- 6:27beyond beyond to matter. I know you like to make
- 6:33these chicks think they matter. I make sure they know
- 6:37they only matter based off performance. If a number twelve
- 6:41doesn't want to step up, she knows there are eleven
- 6:44chicks that will. I usually bring out the usually brings
- 6:47out their best efforts. Okay, I guess I guess there
- 6:52you go. My man is running his life. He must
- 6:56have a lot to offer. Huh yeah, I don't know. Well,
- 6:59there you go. Already four two pout or seven and seven?
- 7:03Already four four seven to seven. Hey, Romeo, you don't
- 7:09think it's wrong for couples to manipulate each other like that,
- 7:13playing a wildcard, are using some sort of sex or
- 7:17money to get what they want.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Out of their spouse.
- 7:20Speaker 1: People are just supposed to love each other and do
- 7:22things for each other because they want to, not because
- 7:26they get something.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Out of it. Well, yeah, I get it.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, you're right, you're right. But unfortunately, I
- 7:37guess you got to understand. I think most relationships today
- 7:44are what do you call it, transactional? I mean, I
- 7:49just I don't think just the world we live in today, man,
- 7:52nobody's loyal, nobody cares and loves in the same way
- 7:55that they used to. I just I mean, I agree
- 7:59with you, but I just think most relationships today are transactional.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I mean, couldn't you agree with me.
- 8:05Speaker 1: So yesterday when we were talking about you know, you
- 8:07don't have to put up with your spouse if you're
- 8:10not happy with what's going on in your relationship for
- 8:13whatever reason. Nobody says you have to stay. And a
- 8:18lot of you guys don't understand that. Women are very
- 8:20quick to tell each other you don't need to put
- 8:22up with that.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Guys are not.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And that's why I told you the other day you
- 8:26don't need to put up with it if you're.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Not happy with something.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Like a guy said, well, he one hundred percent of
- 8:32the income for the household is all him. All he
- 8:34asks is ask of his wife if to have a
- 8:37hot meal when he gets off work.
- 8:38Speaker 2: She didn't even do that.
- 8:39Speaker 1: She gets mad about it, complains about it, and then
- 8:41it waits twenty to thirty minutes after he gets off
- 8:43work to do it. And so, but you don't have
- 8:47to put up with that, And that's what I was
- 8:48talking about. Well, afterwards, I was out playing golf with
- 8:52a friend of mine at the one of the country
- 8:54clubs here.
- 8:54Speaker 2: In Bakers Well, he's a richer guy, he's got some
- 8:56good money.
- 8:57Speaker 1: His wife calls and they're talking for a second and
- 9:01he gets off the phone and he tells me. He goes, Man,
- 9:03romy goes, you wouldn't.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Believe how.
- 9:08Speaker 1: How much my wife spends on getting her nails done,
- 9:10getting her hair done. She's going to go to the massage.
- 9:13You know, she's going to get a massage today, and
- 9:14all this stuff.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And he wasn't complaining about it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: He was just saying that he didn't really he just
- 9:21is amazed by how much it cost for these things
- 9:27to get done, right, He wasn't complaining. And then we
- 9:31started talking again about the show and he says, you know,
- 9:34I signed up for that, and Romeo, I heard you,
- 9:36and he goes, rome I heard you talking about telling
- 9:38these guys to leave, but you also got to tell
- 9:40these guys you signed up for that, and most of you,
- 9:45men and women, it works for both of you. You
- 9:48guys signed up for it, so you can't be mad
- 9:52at it if you don't get what you signed up.
- 9:55If you don't get what you want up for, you
- 10:00know you can't change You can't change your mind in
- 10:03the middle of your relationship go all of a sudden,
- 10:05like we'll just go back to this guy who said
- 10:08if your wife never cooked a day in her life
- 10:11and then all of a sudden you marry her and
- 10:15you're mad at her for not cooking, well that's on you.
- 10:20Speaker 2: You know.
- 10:21Speaker 1: If you marry a woman who likes the finer things
- 10:24in life and you can't afford it, well you got
- 10:29the wrong woman. You guys have to realize what you
- 10:32signed up for. If you want a broke chick, then
- 10:36you know what they're Everywhere you can find a broke
- 10:38chick who's happy with looking dirty, not cleaning up, walking out,
- 10:42looking like trash in or pajamas.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You can find those if that's what you want.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But if you want a woman that's going to get
- 10:48up every morning, put herself together, whether it be makeup,
- 10:53clothes or whatever. Yeah, that costs money, and that's what
- 11:00you signed up for. So he made a great point
- 11:05because he said, as he told me, he goes, Man,
- 11:07it cost me whatever, one thousand dollars or whatever it
- 11:09was costing him. He goes, I signed up for that,
- 11:12and I know that and more people need to understand
- 11:15that rome when they get in relationships, and he's absolutely right.
- 11:23Know what you're getting into. You can't complain about it
- 11:26after the fact.
- 11:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 11:29Speaker 1: It's like you always say, if you were the side
- 11:31piece and took him from his wife and then he
- 11:34cheats on you, what do you expect. That's what you
- 11:37signed up for, alrighty four two, five four or seven
- 11:41to seven. He's absolutely right. My buddy's absolutely right. You
- 11:45need to know what you're getting and you need to
- 11:49know what you want so you don't have any problems
- 11:52getting what you want. If you want a girl who
- 11:56only wants to go to McDonald's and not go, you know,
- 11:59have fancy dinner and she's out there, okay. If you
- 12:05want a guy who's going to go to work ten
- 12:07twelve hours a day and make that money so that
- 12:10you could have a nice house and a nice car
- 12:12and a good fit and your kids are straight. You
- 12:15can't complain because he's working all the time. That's what
- 12:18you signed up for, all right, Ay, four two five,
- 12:22four seven to seven. Already four two five, four seven
- 12:26to seven. We're talking a little bit about knowing what
- 12:29you signed up for. When you get into a relationship
- 12:31and you marry somebody, you have to know what you
- 12:34signed up for that. Okay, nobody forced you to do that.
- 12:37You chose to be with that person, whether it goes
- 12:42male or female. But yet, once you get with that person,
- 12:46you want to be upset about things that they were
- 12:50already doing.
- 12:52Speaker 2: You signed up for that. Okay.
- 12:54Speaker 1: If he only had a part time job when you
- 12:58married him, you can't sit there and go, oh, you
- 13:00know what, why don't you have a full time job? Well,
- 13:03because that's what you chose, all right. And a friend
- 13:06of mine made that clear to me because his wife
- 13:08was spending a bunch of money on hair and nails
- 13:10the other day and he just he goes, yeah, I
- 13:12signed up for it. It's what I signed up for.
- 13:14I signed up for a woman who likes to do
- 13:15with a woman who likes to do that, and that's
- 13:18what I want, and that's what she wants, So somebody's
- 13:20got to pay for it, right, And he was not
- 13:23upset about it, just it is what it is. But
- 13:25a lot of you people don't understand that you get
- 13:28upset once you get married.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Good morning, How what's going on?
- 13:34Speaker 3: I heard about the topic?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, what's up?
- 13:37Speaker 4: What up him?
- 13:39Speaker 3: I want to say, if she couldn't wear that much
- 13:40money on the hair, I go bald, hit it.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Well Jesus, all right, all right later. If you want
- 13:53a broke woman, go get a broke woman. If you
- 13:55want a woman who looks broke all the time, it
- 13:57doesn't want anything, then she's out there.
- 13:59Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 14:00Speaker 1: But if you want a woman, it's just like the
- 14:01guy to stay at home wife. If you want a
- 14:05woman who's gonna stay that you you want to stay
- 14:08at home, then you're gonna have to pay for them
- 14:10to pay for some things that you may not want
- 14:13to or you may feel they don't need.
- 14:15Speaker 2: But that's not your decision to make.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Just like if you want to stay at home and
- 14:20Amanda go to work ten twelve hours a day, there's
- 14:23some things you're gonna have to do at home and
- 14:25there's some things and you can't get mad because he's
- 14:27at work already. Four two, five, four or seven to seven.
- 14:32You signed up for it? Good morning, How what's going on?
- 14:35Speaker 2: Hey?
- 14:35Speaker 3: Is it? Saw me on the morning? Yeah?
- 14:37Speaker 2: What's up?
- 14:38Speaker 3: Oh? My name is Skyt Dents And you know I
- 14:41listen to you pretty much every morning, and I just
- 14:45want because you make it sound like if you make
- 14:48these mistakes and do things over time that's gonna hurt you,
- 14:51you actually preserve them. But I don't know if that's true,
- 14:55because I know I've made a lot of mistakes just
- 14:58by watching what my parents do and then find me
- 15:00out later on that they did something wrong.
- 15:03Speaker 2: What do you mean.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Deserve what you I didn't say you deserve it. I said,
- 15:08you know what you signed up for and you can
- 15:10leave it. What what do you mean by deserve it?
- 15:13Speaker 3: Well, that's what it sounds like, because you don't always
- 15:16know what you signed up for. Like my mom came
- 15:20here from a belieze and didn't get anything she wanted,
- 15:24and then she married my dad, who happened to work
- 15:27on the Rea voat and he loved her and married her,
- 15:30and everybody kept saying later on, well, this is what
- 15:33you signed up for, mister Dan, But he didn't know
- 15:35he was marrying a woman who just wanted him, you know,
- 15:39being to help pay the bills and during lunchtime was
- 15:42having an affair with her. True love from believes you
- 15:45don't always know everything.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Well, when I'm not talking about affair, I'm talking about
- 15:50some of the things that caused the most problems in
- 15:52our relations Like if you marry a woman who likes
- 15:56to get her nails done and you want her to
- 15:58stay at home, you can't get mad because you got
- 16:00to pay for her nails to get done. If you
- 16:02want a woman who's gonna needing one likes to dress nicely,
- 16:05and you can't get mad because that costs money.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Those are the things that I'm talking.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Oh okay, no, I don't think you can't get mad
- 16:13about that. But the situations change over time. Maybe he
- 16:16can't afford her nails getting her nails done forever, And
- 16:21I think both sides have to be willing to give
- 16:23a little bit because you know, just situations change and
- 16:28money changes, and we're not responsible for changes that we
- 16:33didn't have anything to do with, so we just have
- 16:35to Like I've never been married but I'm still friends
- 16:39with the guys that I wanted to marry. But they
- 16:41all wanted to become doctors, and I could tell looking
- 16:43at them that they were going to spend all their
- 16:45time becoming a doctor and I would just be their
- 16:48wife at home. So you have to analyze these things.
- 16:51Not just no. But but now I have three doctor
- 16:57friends who will take care of my friends and they
- 17:00have medical problems. But I don't have the love I wanted.
- 17:03Speaker 2: But let me tell you this, so and this is
- 17:06that's another point of what I'm saying.
- 17:07Speaker 1: If you want to marry a doctor, you do have
- 17:11to accept you kind of married the lifestyle and not
- 17:15really the man because.
- 17:16Speaker 2: He's always working. That's kind of my point.
- 17:19Speaker 1: You you choose what you're going to get into. You
- 17:22can't complain about it.
- 17:23Speaker 3: After Yeah, no, I do, thank you. I just you know,
- 17:27I did not know that he was. He ended up
- 17:29running Halem Hospital, which was a really big deal for him,
- 17:32and we never got married. But I kind of blame
- 17:35myself because I didn't understand everything that was going to
- 17:39have to go into his becoming this figure doing all
- 17:42the Hallam hostele, and he saved lives, so he did
- 17:46more as a doctor.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, But that sounds to me like that's not
- 17:52what you do.
- 17:53Speaker 1: You want to marry somebody that loves You've got somebody
- 17:55not marrying a lifestyle and somebody who has a job
- 17:58before you.
- 17:59Speaker 2: So I'm mean, that's just that's kind of what I'm
- 18:01going with.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Though, You're right, I think, especially when you're young, because
- 18:06I was in my twenties and he was in his
- 18:08twenties and I was becoming a journalist at that time.
- 18:11But I don't think I knew all the intricacies of
- 18:16what he had to go through. Okay, to go from
- 18:19a you know, big shot doctor and call him hospital well, of.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Course, and he's got a political he's got to be political.
- 18:26He's got to be seen, he's got to be a
- 18:27party's he's got to be a public figure.
- 18:29Speaker 2: He's got a lot of action going on.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but they don't tell us, Like the guys
- 18:34don't want us to go away, so they tell us
- 18:36anything that's involved in it. And I was able to
- 18:40like know a little more, and you know, we had
- 18:43a lot of problems in our family, so I just
- 18:45sort of accept it too, and I wanted to do
- 18:47whatever was best for him, and he was supportive of
- 18:49me and we never got married.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well and let me make it a venture.
- 18:54Speaker 1: So you understand, nobody deserves to get cheated on because
- 18:57of a situation. Nobody's ever be cheated on. There are,
- 19:02but you can't. But if you marry a cheater and
- 19:04you know he's a cheater, and you kind of know
- 19:06what you're getting yourself into the possibility, so.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Okay, But sometimes you feel like just a situation, not
- 19:12like marriage or relationships, for cheating, and you feel like
- 19:16the situation is cheat because I know I felt that
- 19:18way for a long time, like he's rising ahead as
- 19:21a doctor and I'm here doing all these things to
- 19:23support him and I'm not getting anything out of it.
- 19:26But then over time I saw how important he was.
- 19:29He was more important as a doctor than he was
- 19:32with my husband, and I accepted that.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Well I appreciate the phone call, thank.
- 19:36Speaker 3: You, Okay, I appreciate your answering.
- 19:38Speaker 2: All right.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I mean, but that's a great point she makes, And
- 19:43that's what I'm trying to tell you. There are the
- 19:45things that you have to understand you're getting involved in.
- 19:48That's what you signed up for. Okay, and you can't
- 19:51be mad about it after the fact. She sounds like
- 19:53she was smart enough. She didn't want that lifestyle. She
- 19:57didn't want to live. She wanted a husband, not a lifestyle.
- 20:00Sounds like she knew what she was doing already. Four
- 20:02two five, four seven to seven. Good morning, How what's
- 20:05going on?
- 20:06Speaker 5: Okay? But man, that girl was really talking really fast.
- 20:09Speaker 6: I don't know you got it all.
- 20:12Speaker 2: She's by.
- 20:15Speaker 7: I was. I was like, dang, she's out talking Romeo, right.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I think she's.
- 20:22Speaker 2: From Box I think if I remember correctly.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Okay, she was.
- 20:28Speaker 5: She was on it though it was bullets spatter of
- 20:31the pistol.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Boy, she came with Ammo.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Already four two, five, seven to seven. I think it's
- 20:42the accent. I think it's the accent.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Hey room and wonderful Bakersfield.
- 20:46Speaker 1: We usually sign up for a skinny, sweet lady that
- 20:49cooks and cleans five years into a marriage. Now we
- 20:51have a fat, angry, uh honey badger that doesn't want
- 20:55to cook or clean. Don't sign up for uh didn't
- 20:58sign up for that, but be nice if people didn't
- 21:01switch up once they get that ring. Well, but that's
- 21:07why I said, though you can always leave.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I mean it. It doesn't happen like that all the time.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Okay, but wait obviously is something wait and personality obviously
- 21:22can change over time, but it doesn't always. It doesn't
- 21:29always all right, eight four two five four or seven
- 21:31to seven. So but once again, back to my point,
- 21:35you can always leave if you want.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Hey, roam, I married a woman in the.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Streets and a streets in the streets and a freaking
- 21:43the sheets, and now she's still a woman in the
- 21:45streets and turned into a nun today, turned into a none,
- 21:51none today, none tomorrow.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I didn't sign up for that. Well, that's but that's
- 21:56what I say. You guys have to understand.
- 22:00Speaker 1: You know that you can always That's why I said
- 22:04you can always leave, you know.
- 22:07Speaker 2: But some of the I mean, and then, why is
- 22:10she not having sex with you anymore? What are you doing?
- 22:12There's a lot.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Oh, it's not as simple as you think when it
- 22:16comes to sex and weight. Those are two of the
- 22:19biggest problems I think people having relationships. Are you are
- 22:22you super skinny or you know what I'm saying, Are
- 22:26you staying in shape? Are you staying fit? For the
- 22:29guy who says bakers wool women just get fat after
- 22:32they get married.
- 22:33Speaker 2: What about you? Are you still.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Doing romantic things to get your woman to be freaky
- 22:39or have you given up and just expected out of her.
- 22:41I mean, these are things that you have to think
- 22:42of as well. You have to think of everything. So
- 22:46what makes me so smart, so much smarter than you
- 22:48is I think of everything and try to help you out.
- 22:51So you got to listen if you want help or
- 22:54talking about what do you sign up for? Right when
- 22:57you get married to somebody, you sign up for certain
- 22:59things that you knew they do.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Right, if you know.
- 23:03Speaker 1: She likes to do her hair every two weeks, then
- 23:07you know that's what you signed up for. You got
- 23:09to deal with it, all right. You can't get mad
- 23:11at it. If you know he works ten hour days
- 23:14so that he can make enough money, you can't get
- 23:17mad at him. When dudes out there working ten hour
- 23:19days or twelve hour days or whatever the case may be.
- 23:23You know, you just you gotta understand what you're working with.
- 23:27I do want to talk about though, this fact that
- 23:29one guy said I didn't sign up. You know who
- 23:32was a lady in the streets in a freaking bed room,
- 23:35and after I married her she didn't want to have
- 23:36sex anymore.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Well, then you need to leave.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I mean aer to you, okay, and that's all honesty.
- 23:47You need to walk out. As long as you were
- 23:49doing everything that you believe you can to help her
- 23:56stay you know, a freak, I'll use your terminology. As
- 24:00long as you know you're you're doing everything you can
- 24:03and she still doesn't want to, then you need to roll.
- 24:06You need to realize, hey, you're right, this is not
- 24:08what I signed up for, okay, and you need to
- 24:13find somebody else because somebody else will do exactly what
- 24:17she wants, just like the guy who said, well I
- 24:20want to marry a skinny girl. After five years in
- 24:23they become fat. Well okay, way changes over the years.
- 24:28But if you're here's the thing that you guys got
- 24:32to understand when it comes to sex.
- 24:34Speaker 2: And wait, if you guys.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Or you women, because you guys, women do the same thing.
- 24:40If you're not putting in the effort to support your spouse,
- 24:44either to stay skinny or to stay freaky, and they
- 24:49just don't want to anymore with you for whatever reason
- 24:53or they've chosen this life, then yes you are with
- 24:56a different person. Okay, but you gotta be able to
- 25:01walk away, because once you stay, you need to stop
- 25:07complaining about it. If you've done everything you can to
- 25:12support your spouse and whatever it is.
- 25:15Speaker 2: They were.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Because and you find out they're never going to be
- 25:24that again, then you can you just you gotta go.
- 25:28But that was the whole point of the conversation the
- 25:31other day. You have to be willing to walk away.
- 25:36But before you walk away, you have to be sure
- 25:39that you've If you truly love somebody, you have to
- 25:42be sure that you've done everything. Okay already four two five, four,
- 25:50seven to seven, And.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Those are tough.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Weight and sex drive are tough in in a marriage.
- 26:00Speaker 2: They've just a lot of people have.
- 26:06Speaker 1: A lot of people have problems with that, and it
- 26:08causes a lot of problems in their marriage. I mean,
- 26:11but it's something you gotta work on. But I think
- 26:13I will say this though, also, I think that you
- 26:19can tell. I think you know if the woman you're
- 26:25marrying is gonna stay thin or if she's gonna stay
- 26:31stay a freak. I think you know that, you know.
- 26:34I think you can tell. And then a lot of
- 26:37it matters on how you treat them as well, you know,
- 26:41So I don't know. I know it's tough, but yeah.
- 26:47Speaker 2: But like I said, I I just.
- 26:52Speaker 1: You gotta be able to walk away, and a lot
- 26:55of you guys can't, all right eight four two five,
- 26:58four or seven, or you walk away over something that
- 27:04could have been fixed. That's the worst part, walking away
- 27:07when things were fixable, as opposed to walking away when
- 27:11you know things aren't fixable.
- 27:13Speaker 2: What my god here? What'd you send me already?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Four two, five, four seven to seven A Romeo? You
- 27:19shouldn't be telling couples that it's okay to get.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Out of a marriage.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Divorce is a horrible thing to go through. Why not
- 27:27try and work things out. When you choose to be
- 27:29with somebody, you choose to be with them forever. That's
- 27:33the problem with people today. They don't know how to
- 27:36stick to their vows and be loyal. Yeah, okay, I
- 27:46get it. I get what you're saying. But people change.
- 27:53And why if there's certain things that you.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Want in your life.
- 28:00Speaker 1: And you get married to somebody, and if you're talking
- 28:06and getting married you said forever. I mean you're talking
- 28:08what you get married at thirty, you're going to live
- 28:11till ninety eighty. Let's call it eighty sixty years, fifty years,
- 28:15fifty years of marriage.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Let's just say, I mean, is it fair.
- 28:23Speaker 1: For somebody to say that I got to stay with
- 28:25somebody because even though they've changed into something that I didn't,
- 28:30that I didn't.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Want, or that I don't want. Is that really fair
- 28:34to do?
- 28:35Speaker 4: So?
- 28:36Speaker 1: No, Absolutely, people can leave. You have to if it
- 28:39doesn't work out. I mean, the problem is you have
- 28:42so many people that get divorced over things that probably
- 28:47most likely are fixable, but they don't communicate, they don't
- 28:52talk about it, they.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Don't figure it out.
- 28:54Speaker 1: They're stubborn, right, you know, you can't tell me to
- 28:59do this, You can't tell me to do that.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Well, then you can leave, but you can't.
- 29:06Speaker 1: You can't legitimately ask somebody to be miserable their entire
- 29:10life because they thought they were marrying one person and
- 29:16they got another after they got married.
- 29:18Speaker 2: You can't. That's not fair. It's not fair to somebody.
- 29:23Speaker 1: So if yeah, yeah, so you're right with what you're
- 29:27saying about marriage being forever, But you can't expect people
- 29:31to stay in a marriage where what they wanted they're
- 29:36not getting, especially if what they wanted is reasonable.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Okay, Hey, mar Romeos.
- 29:44Speaker 7: John, Hey, I've been married twenty seven years and I
- 29:49was listening to some of these things these guys are saying,
- 29:51and I'm just going to disagree with you a little
- 29:54bit on Uh okay, all of us are not quitters.
- 29:56We don't have it in us to quit.
- 29:59Speaker 2: We don't don't do. We took vows to death to.
- 30:02Speaker 7: His part, and you know, after twenty seven years of marriage,
- 30:06it's been rough. Believe me, we were the other five
- 30:10years before we got married. And anyway, make short story long,
- 30:15you have to stick to your vows you have and
- 30:17and some of us, you know, we just can't give up.
- 30:22Speaker 3: I would have never.
- 30:22Speaker 7: Made it to basic training in the army if I
- 30:24was a queer.
- 30:25Speaker 2: You're easy quit. I want to quit so bad. Oh
- 30:28I can't.
- 30:29Speaker 7: I can't tell you.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I agree with what you're saying as long as you're
- 30:35both willing to work at it. And if you're not,
- 30:39then what is one person supposed to do. You're not
- 30:44quitting if you decided, if you and your wife decided that, hey,
- 30:49this is.
- 30:50Speaker 2: The one thing that I want you. Let's say let's
- 30:52say she.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Wanted you to work right, and you come home one
- 30:56day and you go, I don't want to work as
- 30:57much anymore. Let's get a smaller house and one car
- 31:00are and we'll survive off this.
- 31:02Speaker 2: And she goes, well, no, I want my house.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I want what you what you provided, right, And you say, no,
- 31:09that's not what's gonna happen anymore.
- 31:11Speaker 2: I don't want to do it. You can't expect her
- 31:14to go, you know what.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I need to stay with him because of my vows,
- 31:19because I'm not a quitter, because she didn't quit.
- 31:21Speaker 2: You quit. You see what I'm saying here. That's what
- 31:24I mean by that when I say that, though, at.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Some point, if you say, you know what, honey, and now,
- 31:30if you came home and said, you know what, I'm
- 31:31gonna take a year off and not work as much.
- 31:33It's just tough, and then we'll get back at it, right,
- 31:37that's different. But you can't expect somebody to live their
- 31:44entire life with somebody that doesn't own up to what
- 31:48they said they were going to own up to.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yeah, well you know what I got to say.
- 31:52Speaker 7: Until this part you would think it is funny.
- 31:56Speaker 2: It is funny ago long ago either.
- 31:59Speaker 7: Oh god, he's the only reason why you haven't killed me. Yes,
- 32:02because uh, I don't have a life insurance policy. I
- 32:05said no, the prosecutor would practice to be inventive. I
- 32:09was gonna kill you for the money.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Anyway, but yeah, you have to look at those things.
- 32:21That's not fair, right, And back to his point quitting,
- 32:25it's not quitting. You quit on me, if you if
- 32:28if I signed up for this and you don't hold
- 32:32up your into the bargain, you quit on me.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I didn't quit on you.
- 32:35Speaker 1: But you can't expect people to stay together forever if
- 32:40you know you're not doing what you said you were
- 32:42gonna do.
- 32:43Speaker 2: R A four two for seven seven a Romeo. I
- 32:47just want to tell.
- 32:48Speaker 1: You you couldn't be more wrong. When you get married,
- 32:51that is forever, people are. That guy is right about
- 32:55being a quitter. You can't just quit. You need you
- 33:01need to cherish those vows unconditional love. If you really
- 33:06truly want to be with somebody and love them, well, okay,
- 33:11it's a little one sided.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Come on your hot what's going on, mamoralmeal?
- 33:15Speaker 3: Life is not fair.
- 33:17Speaker 4: And if you find a good woman, you hold on
- 33:19to her.
- 33:20Speaker 7: You don't give up. No, I hear all these guys
- 33:24complaining but they need a man up.
- 33:26Speaker 2: They know what they signed up for.
- 33:27Speaker 4: And if she's not a freaking bed or she's gaining weight,
- 33:31let me tell you what I did.
- 33:32Speaker 7: There're is a secret. You gotta be smarter than these women.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Okay, So there's something called ADII.
- 33:41Speaker 5: Ad d ye.
- 33:42Speaker 7: It's like a woman biagra. Mix that with a little
- 33:45ozempic in a orange juice.
- 33:48Speaker 8: She's a freak and she's losing weight.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I think it's illegal to drug somebody.
- 33:54Speaker 4: It's paddy cocktails.
- 33:55Speaker 2: She'll never know you're married.
- 33:56Speaker 7: You're helping her out, you're saving the marriage, so it's
- 33:59not illegal.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I'm tallenge to try it. Okay, I'll
- 34:04let everybody know. Thanks.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I just.
- 34:09Speaker 2: You idiots.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I just can't sometimes with you guys. But let me
- 34:13ask you this question. Why is it always like when
- 34:16somebody says unconditional?
- 34:17Speaker 2: Why is it one sided?
- 34:20Speaker 1: If you're the one that's not getting what you wanted,
- 34:25what you thought you were getting in your marriage, why
- 34:28is it your fault?
- 34:29Speaker 2: Why is it not theirs? And fault? Michael being a
- 34:31good thing, Michael Bean's on here, who's fault?
- 34:33Speaker 1: But why is it if you're doing everything you can
- 34:37to help support whatever it is that you want, and
- 34:41they don't care about you. Why is it that you're
- 34:44supposed to have unconditional love? Why is it you're the
- 34:47one that's supposed to just accept everything?
- 34:51Speaker 3: You know?
- 34:53Speaker 2: Can anybody explain that? Alrighty?
- 34:56Speaker 1: Four, two, five, four or seven and seven out of all?
- 34:59I'll tell you what I mean by that. When I
- 35:02was in college, I have I've had these friends, well
- 35:06my college friends.
- 35:07Speaker 2: And there he was a meathead. She was I think
- 35:11she was.
- 35:11Speaker 1: A track star something tracker gim I can't gymnastics.
- 35:14Speaker 2: I can't remember which one it was, right, both.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Two of the most fittest people in you know that
- 35:21I knew, right, and obviously they were attracted to each other.
- 35:25Speaker 2: They we graduate college, they get married, and.
- 35:31Speaker 1: A couple of years into their marriage, he's still the meathead.
- 35:34He's still the same meathead, walking around with the gallon
- 35:36jug of water, hitting the gym two hours of days,
- 35:38trying to you know, trying to look, you know, stay
- 35:41who he is. And she gets this job with these
- 35:45women who and this is his story, so you guys
- 35:49can say what you want about it, Okay, he uh,
- 35:53she starts putting on weight and he believes she did
- 35:58it because where she was working, all the other women
- 36:04were big, so they were she started to get big
- 36:09guilt by association, right when she's always been this physically
- 36:14fit athlete. Mind you, he's still staying the same. They
- 36:20ended up getting divorced about six years. I think after
- 36:24six years they end up getting divorced six months later,
- 36:30if not sooner. She's right back to the original, to
- 36:34her size in college, physically fit, ready to go, and.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Now she's remarried. So what does that say?
- 36:45Speaker 1: What I mean, it took her to get divorced to
- 36:49get back into what he was attracted to. Now everybody
- 36:54thinks he's the bad guy. By the way, I don't
- 36:56think he's the bad guy. I think it was what
- 36:59it was, and I don't think it's realistic or for
- 37:05you guys to sign up for one thing then when
- 37:08that person changes, you're supposed to be stuck with it
- 37:10for the rest of your life.
- 37:10Speaker 2: I don't think that's fair. Nobody should live like that.
- 37:14Speaker 1: But what a big boy. He disagreed with me. Hey,
- 37:17rom I disagree. We don't know a couple's issues. I
- 37:19have friends married over twenty years who have called it
- 37:21quits only to remain better friends. I think there's always
- 37:24circumstances to consider when a couple calls it quits.
- 37:27Speaker 2: I feel blessed that.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I've been married thirty years next month and we still
- 37:31have our fire.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Here's the thing though about calling Here's where here's where
- 37:47things get tough when you talk about calling it quits.
- 37:50I believe this. I believe most people call it quits
- 37:58because I believe most people call it quits over things
- 38:02that can be fixable. Okay, and those are things that
- 38:07you might you yourself might have to put a little
- 38:09work into, okay, but the major things. There's a lot
- 38:15of people that stay together because of the idea that well,
- 38:17we're we're supposed to be married. We got married, so
- 38:20we got to stick it out forever, even if we're
- 38:22miserable the majority of our marriage, right, and you go, well,
- 38:26you guys probably should have got divorced. Then there are
- 38:30more people out there I think that leave over something
- 38:34that's fixable.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Wait.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Sex, two of the most biggest problems people have in
- 38:42a marriage. Okay, depending on what side of the fence
- 38:46you're on, there is a there's a difference.
- 38:52Speaker 2: There's a huge difference.
- 38:54Speaker 1: A woman a wife can tell her husband he's fat
- 38:57and he needs to lose weight. A husband can not
- 39:00do that in the same way tell his wife she's fat,
- 39:04you need to lose some weight. Is that fair to
- 39:07a marriage? No, it's not fair to either one of
- 39:09those people. You should both be able to say that
- 39:11to your spouse if that's if you're not happy with it, okay.
- 39:18So the reason I bring that up is those are
- 39:21fixable issues if you both want to work on it
- 39:24and help each other out. And people will cheat, people
- 39:29will leave, people will make mistakes because of fixable issues.
- 39:33That's the confusion that I think you guys are having.
- 39:35When I say it's time to leave, you're able to
- 39:39leave because most people leave over fixable issues.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Alrighty four two five, four, seven to seven, Hop, it's
- 39:48going on?
- 39:49Speaker 9: Good morning?
- 39:50Speaker 7: What's going on?
- 39:50Speaker 3: Man?
- 39:50Speaker 5: Hey?
- 39:51Speaker 2: What I brought?
- 39:52Speaker 9: Hey, I'm going down there to talk about what's going on?
- 39:55Speaker 5: Man?
- 39:55Speaker 9: On the radio?
- 39:56Speaker 7: You know I heard what you talk about?
- 39:57Speaker 1: Man?
- 39:58Speaker 2: Yeah? What do you got?
- 39:59Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 39:59Speaker 6: Hey?
- 39:59Speaker 5: Man?
- 40:00Speaker 9: What it is with women?
- 40:01Speaker 3: Brother?
- 40:01Speaker 9: Is that Look, look, men can't live without them and
- 40:05they can't live with them, but we got to have them,
- 40:07you know what I mean?
- 40:09Speaker 5: At the end of the day.
- 40:10Speaker 6: It is what it is, and we.
- 40:11Speaker 9: Always have to deal with it no matter what because
- 40:14that's just the way it is.
- 40:16Speaker 7: Going to go ahead.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 40:19Speaker 2: I'm just okay, that's what you know. You don't They're all.
- 40:22Speaker 9: Like, but like, we have to deal with it though,
- 40:24because it's men like, that's what our job to do
- 40:27is when we're with women. You know that that's doesn't
- 40:29there's people that with somebody that we fell in love with,
- 40:32you know, so a stranger that we got to know,
- 40:34and somebody that we took in, you know and accepted them,
- 40:37you know, for who they are and what they are.
- 40:39Speaker 2: What if they change, Well, if they change.
- 40:42Speaker 9: Oh well what if it's for the good, then that's
- 40:45that's a puss for you, you.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Know what I mean.
- 40:47Speaker 2: It doesn't matter.
- 40:48Speaker 9: It doesn't matter if they get big or overweight, it
- 40:50doesn't matter, you know what I mean. That person is
- 40:51still that same person inside no matter what.
- 40:54Speaker 2: They're not though they're not though that's the problem. That's you.
- 40:58You you are you think they are, they're not.
- 41:02Speaker 9: I know that women are strange creatures, for sure, they are.
- 41:05They're one of a kuyd.
- 41:08Speaker 6: They's crazy.
- 41:08Speaker 9: But you know, we can't live without them, like I should,
- 41:10you know, and we can't live with them, but we
- 41:13gotta deal with them, all.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Right, man, thanks for calling.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you you can live with the right woman or
- 41:24the right man. I mean, men are strange creatures to everybody.
- 41:27It's not just women. We're not just talking about. What
- 41:29it comes down to is people change. Do you don't
- 41:33you think?
- 41:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 41:37Speaker 1: People change, and you're supposed to be stuck with someone
- 41:41who's changed. You're a different person people, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 41:47all right.
- 41:48Speaker 2: I'm trying to process what he said, you know what's
- 41:50going on.
- 41:53Speaker 8: I kind of understand what you're saying with the with
- 41:56the whole, like.
- 41:59Speaker 6: If it's time to go, it's time to go. And
- 42:02if it's true, if it's something that you can change,
- 42:06you should change it if you want to stay in
- 42:08that marriage, because at least us, like me and my husband,
- 42:13he's the type that, like he has said it so
- 42:17many times.
- 42:18Speaker 8: Like I got married to you, like we are stuck
- 42:21together for life. And there was a point where I
- 42:24was just like, you know what, like you need to
- 42:27leave because honestly, this is not working for me. And
- 42:31he was like no, no, no, Like I married you
- 42:34and this is for life and this is forever. And
- 42:37I was just kind of like, yeah, but this is
- 42:39not working for me. If it's working for you, good,
- 42:42but it's not working for me. So he was like, okay,
- 42:46So we took marriage counseling and he's like, oh, okay,
- 42:49Like I see where what you're saying. So, yeah, there
- 42:52is sometimes that you know, you leave because you stay
- 42:59in the relationship that is not working, but because of
- 43:04because of what your parents, your grandparents would say, yes,
- 43:08you know, like oh, well you know my grandma, my
- 43:14grandma was always getting.
- 43:15Speaker 6: Beat up, and you know, she stayed. And it's just
- 43:18kind of like.
- 43:18Speaker 8: We're in a we're in a time for like, no,
- 43:23if you're.
- 43:24Speaker 6: Being abused, you don't have to stay.
- 43:29Speaker 8: You don't have to If something is not working for you,
- 43:32it's a it's a well, let's.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Not take it to that extreme because we know that
- 43:38that is when you have to leave. Definitely, there's not
- 43:41an option of staying there. But if there are things
- 43:44that are fixable like wait or sex, drive or jobs,
- 43:48or whatever the case may be, attractiveness, then you should
- 43:53fix it.
- 43:53Speaker 2: If you still love that person.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Obviously you said whatever you did was fixable, Yeah, it
- 44:00was what was.
- 44:01Speaker 2: It if you don't wand me asking.
- 44:05Speaker 8: We just wouldn't agree, Like in little stuff like I'd say, yeah,
- 44:11let's go out for icecream and he'd be like, no,
- 44:13like I want to go get a too roll.
- 44:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it's kind of like.
- 44:16Speaker 8: Yeah, bro, you know, we just wouldn't agree.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Yeah, all fixable things that if you really love each other,
- 44:24are very easily fixed with a little bit of communication
- 44:27and a little bit of you know, understanding of what
- 44:29the other person wants.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Absolutely okay, yeah, all right, all right, well thanks for colling.
- 44:34I appreciate it.
- 44:36Speaker 8: You're welcome.
- 44:37Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying. See, things that are fixable.
- 44:39People will break up over things that, uh that are fixable.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I mean, I hate to tell you this, and fortunately
- 44:50you don't want to hear this, especially you guys. Probably
- 44:53the reason your wife's not giving you more sex is
- 44:56because you're not being you're not romancing her. Now, okay,
- 45:02I'm gonna guess ninety nine percent of you the reason
- 45:05your wife, outside of medical conditions or whatever, the reason
- 45:08she's not giving you more is because you're not putting
- 45:11in the work to get her in the mood more.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Okay, Now, if you want.
- 45:17Speaker 1: To go find a hoe, that's just gonna do whatever.
- 45:19You can go do that and leave your wife. But
- 45:21if you love your wife and you want to.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Fix it, it's fixable.
- 45:25Speaker 1: For the most part, it's fixable. I mean, I mean
- 45:28there's always exceptions to every rule. Okay, weight is a
- 45:32fixable situation, but sometimes you got to put in a
- 45:37little bit of effort to support your spouse. You know,
- 45:41look at what she said, fixable because we're not agreeing
- 45:44on certain things.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Everything is well, not everything.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Most things that people break up over or cheat on
- 45:51each other over are fixable, but some things aren't.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Okay, if you're if you're.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Willing to to to work on your relationship and your
- 46:02spouse is not, you shouldn't have to just stay in
- 46:07that relationship because it took some vow that you didn't break.
- 46:13Speaker 2: They broke, Hey, Romeo.
- 46:15Speaker 4: So I think not only is it like is it
- 46:19a quick fixable? You know, we're going to get back
- 46:22together because it's something small. We're going to stay together
- 46:24because it's something small. I also believe in the financial
- 46:28stability of the person. And I say that because I've
- 46:33seen couples that if it wasn't something small that you
- 46:38would be you know what, I probably would separate with
- 46:40that person. They stay because of where they are financially
- 46:46and how comfortable their lifestyle is. Yeah, and that's sad,
- 46:51you know, well there is and with a little right,
- 46:55with the little things that that are okay, we can
- 46:58we can task, we can get through the smaller issues.
- 47:03I think the person threatens to leave because they know
- 47:07they can, they can be on their own. They know
- 47:09they can do it without them, and it's like, that's
- 47:13that's what I think. Also comes into plays of financial.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Oh you're well, how many I bet you I can
- 47:19name just in my little circle of friends in Bakersfield,
- 47:22I could probably name six seven people who are married
- 47:26to a lifestyle.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Now. They're not really married to each other, they're just
- 47:30married to it.
- 47:30Speaker 4: In me several and I will admit I was in
- 47:35that situation one where I said, you know what, I'm
- 47:38just gonna stay because I can't do it on my own.
- 47:41And it's sad. And so I wasted those five years
- 47:44not only for myself but for the person.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and then I found my person, which I was like, man,
- 47:51I should have found them center, But you know, destiny
- 47:54and all that. But I think definitely.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Yes, you know what, but you're crazy.
- 48:00Speaker 8: But okay, I know, I'm okay with it.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I'll tell you this though. I do want to tell
- 48:08you what you brought up. And it's kind of a
- 48:10real point. Is you said you wasted the five years
- 48:13for yourself and your spouse.
- 48:16Speaker 2: People don't think.
- 48:17Speaker 1: People see this one sided conversation and go, I'm over
- 48:20here staying in this marriage and I'm not really happy
- 48:22with because that person has changed. Well, you know what,
- 48:25maybe that person can find somebody better and have some
- 48:28happiness as well instead of us stilling together.
- 48:31Speaker 2: You're absolutely right, that's a great point.
- 48:33Speaker 4: Yeah, and I thought like, I need to stop doing
- 48:36that because I'm wasting his time to find his person.
- 48:40But he is a great guy, but he wasn't my partner.
- 48:44Speaker 2: He wasn't a.
- 48:44Speaker 4: Partner for me.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Destiny didn't bring you.
- 48:49Speaker 4: What's not it? Yeah? Maybe your next segment, who believe
- 48:57or not?
- 48:57Speaker 5: I guarantee there's a lot of people that do.
- 48:59Speaker 1: The only destiny I know hits the stage at four o'clock.
- 49:03So let me get these text messages. Sorry, guys, I
- 49:07haven't been paying attention here. Text messages a rome. His
- 49:11problem is he can't read between the line, Oh this
- 49:14is something else, Romeo. Women just want to have sex,
- 49:19want good sex. Yeah that's not good morning. How what's
- 49:22going on? Good morning?
- 49:24Speaker 4: I love this topic today.
- 49:26Speaker 10: I think it's really it's really really interesting. You know,
- 49:31it's not mad, it's not about the second Yes, it's
- 49:34a sex great Cotto mighty.
- 49:36Speaker 4: It used to be.
- 49:38Speaker 10: I'm a Nimpho. My husband is not, but he injured
- 49:42around ten years ago. Injured is bad, So.
- 49:46Speaker 3: Our relationship or second.
- 49:47Speaker 10: Relationship totally changed. And then a couple of years ago
- 49:52I got major injured. I sent him at the hospital
- 49:56and then I changed and then so yes, it was
- 49:59na through we try to do our little sometimes up
- 50:03laughing at.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Each other because we're like, he's like, I can't, I can't.
- 50:06Speaker 8: I'm I can't, I can't, I can't.
- 50:07Speaker 3: So we just we're just separated.
- 50:10Speaker 7: We do it.
- 50:11Speaker 10: We're just laughing at each other because it's not just
- 50:14about the sex, because yes, the sex is great, but there's.
- 50:17Speaker 3: More things to marriage than set.
- 50:20Speaker 4: So I just want to say that that.
- 50:23Speaker 1: First of all, you that might have been destiny were
- 50:26you both where your sex drives have have equaled each
- 50:29other out at this after a few years to get.
- 50:32Speaker 3: Your half and I miss it. God almighty do I
- 50:36miss a good sex.
- 50:37Speaker 10: But we we can't do what we can do.
- 50:40Speaker 2: And okay, well, I'm just gonna say this.
- 50:44Speaker 1: For sex, it's not about you and your husband, but
- 50:46for some people it is about sex. So it just
- 50:48depends on what those people want and then they need
- 50:50to go find that. And I just I just don't
- 50:53think people should be stuck with somebody if if there's
- 50:56something that they really want and that person has changed
- 50:59that in their ma, that's all.
- 51:01Speaker 8: But okay, yeah, but things, everything can be worked on,
- 51:04Everything can be worked out, you just have to get
- 51:08I think it is people.
- 51:09Speaker 10: When, especially when they're married for a long time, they
- 51:12forget who each other is.
- 51:14Speaker 3: They forget who they are.
- 51:16Speaker 10: And once they find out who they are.
- 51:18Speaker 8: And who each other is, you can do things to
- 51:21fall in love all over again. It doesn't have to
- 51:23be going.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Out, having a big, giant, romantic, extensive dinner. No, go
- 51:28to her park, make them lunch, just in quality till together.
- 51:32Speaker 10: Most important thing is quality time sitting down talking to
- 51:36each other is everything, because if you don't talk.
- 51:40Speaker 4: You just stay away.
- 51:42Speaker 1: All right, Well, thanks for Colin, I appreciate it, have
- 51:45a wonderful day you too. And I think she's right.
- 51:50I think most things are fixable. I think a lot
- 51:53of things in marriages are fixable, but you don't fix them.
- 52:00And what overshadows the fixable things in your marriage that
- 52:04could keep you together and make you happy again with
- 52:06the person you.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Committed to is cheating. You know, everybody just.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Thinks, oh, they cheat, they cheat, they cheat. Everybody just said,
- 52:14why do I don't get sex at home? So I'm
- 52:16just gonna go cheat on my wife or my husband,
- 52:17Or he doesn't communicate with me well or talk to
- 52:20me or care about me, so I'm gonna go cheat
- 52:21on him. And then that overshadows the fact that it's
- 52:27not that complicated. If I mean, and I'm just using
- 52:33sex and weight because that seems to be the most
- 52:35common topic that's come up so far, is if your
- 52:42wife just wants you to hugger more or be more
- 52:47involved in her life and that makes her more sexually
- 52:50attractive to you, that's fixable.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:56Speaker 1: If somebody in the relationship puts on weight and you're
- 52:59not a tracted to a heavy set person because they've
- 53:02never were, you might have to start working out with them.
- 53:06You might have to make sure they eat there. I
- 53:09mean that stuff is fixable, but no, it get over.
- 53:14It gets overshadowed by the fact that you guys don't
- 53:17want to put in the work, and so one person
- 53:19cheats and then all of a sudden marriage is over
- 53:21when the reality is it didn't really have to be.
- 53:24Speaker 2: I mean, not everything's fixable. Some stuff isn't, but most is.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Are and a poor two five, four, seven to seven.
- 53:31Let me get to these text messages. Here a roam
- 53:35someone has to go check up on the last caller's wife.
- 53:37She's basically getting a roofeed, what are you talking about?
- 53:42I don't remember, I know I've got I'm kind of
- 53:45late on some of your text messages.
- 53:48Speaker 2: You you ate so rational?
- 53:53Speaker 1: Agree what you can't sign up forty one You can't
- 53:57sign up forty one things and then get a another
- 54:00thing for thirty years of marriage and then expect to
- 54:03stay with that thing that you didn't sign up for,
- 54:06whatever that thing is to you been married thirty years.
- 54:11Completely agree with you, okay, but I mean that's just
- 54:14my point. You can't make a decision for your entire
- 54:19life at twenty five or thirty whenever people normally get
- 54:25married whatever the median ages, and then that person changes
- 54:31and you go, well, you're stuck with me.
- 54:34Speaker 2: I gotta deal with it. That's that's not how you
- 54:40should live your life. Uh day, Good morning, Romeo. What
- 54:46are we talking about?
- 54:47Speaker 1: Hey?
- 54:47Speaker 2: They about to Bill Cosby.
- 54:48Speaker 1: That dude that just called oh raider, Dave show this
- 54:52show to his wife.
- 54:54Speaker 2: He doesn't lead the lame.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Yeah, he was the one that was talking about giving
- 54:57her roofies or something.
- 54:59Speaker 2: I don't know, zempic and something. I don't know what
- 55:02it was. Hey, ROMI.
- 55:03Speaker 1: A lot of people say they're married for they're married.
- 55:06They're married for fifteen, twenty, thirty plus years, but it
- 55:10might not be true love, just companionship.
- 55:14Speaker 2: And some don't leave because.
- 55:16Speaker 1: They don't want the title of being divorced and they
- 55:20don't want their family and friends to know that they
- 55:23are divorced. I mean legitimate points. It's very legitimate what
- 55:27you're saying. You know already four two pop four or
- 55:30seven and seven. I just think it's unreasonable to tell somebody, hey,
- 55:34and for you to be married, let's say thirty plus
- 55:38years and go see how great we are. We stayed
- 55:41together when The reality is were you happy at what
- 55:45point did you become miserable? I mean, or were you happy?
- 55:49If you were, if it was thirty years of bliss
- 55:51and happiness, then you know, congratulations. But if you were
- 55:55married for thirty years and twenty of them sucked, you know,
- 55:59the first ten were cool, the last twenty sucked.
- 56:03Speaker 2: Why would you think that was an accomplishment? What are
- 56:05we talking about here? What did you send me? He
- 56:08says Rome.
- 56:08Speaker 1: There's a huge problem with men wanting to be masking
- 56:12and play that role. Yeah, they act like women, their
- 56:15feelings matter more. They refuse to be soft for their
- 56:19girls because it's lame.
- 56:24Speaker 2: Wow.
- 56:25Speaker 1: I would say there's a balance, you know, But I
- 56:30wouldn't say there's more men trying or wanting to be
- 56:33masculine today.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Maybe maybe, yo.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Rome, I'm divorced, got divorced because of sex. Now I
- 56:41talk to girls and get in relationships that don't last.
- 56:44Speaker 2: So don't get the point.
- 56:46Speaker 1: So don't get to the point where they come around
- 56:51and meet my family.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Kids and all.
- 56:53Speaker 1: That's because I'm in it for the honeymoon stage.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Then everything is great and happy.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Soon as I start getting and seeing the signs of
- 57:03them changing up to who they are, who they are
- 57:09then setting up to be because they think they got me,
- 57:13or till I.
- 57:14Speaker 2: See who they actually are and I disappear.
- 57:21Speaker 1: From what I've experienced, all women are almost the same.
- 57:25They will be perfect for you for four to six months.
- 57:28After that, you're gonna choose to settle for them or
- 57:31show them the door.
- 57:36Speaker 2: Okay, all right, what have we got here? Hey, good
- 57:39morning Rome?
- 57:41Speaker 1: If everything is fixable, how do you fix a lazy
- 57:44person who the older they get, the lazier they become.
- 57:48They become they feel they can because they feel they can.
- 57:53But they have a job, but just call it work.
- 57:59But I didn't say everything is fixable. I said most
- 58:03things are fixable, you know. And so if you're going
- 58:06to say, you know, if you're going to to be
- 58:11with somebody and they're getting lazier and lazier, or and
- 58:15they don't want to do things, or they don't want
- 58:18to work, or they don't that's and it's not fixable.
- 58:22Speaker 2: You have to leave.
- 58:23Speaker 1: That's the point about the conversation is that we talk
- 58:27about all these we talk about people, these couples, and
- 58:32you're expected to stay together forever because of you know,
- 58:38you took some sort of vow. But that's you can't
- 58:41honestly believe a value you took twenty years ago applies
- 58:47to you today, especially if your spouse has changed.
- 58:52Speaker 2: And they're not the same person.
- 58:54Speaker 1: You know, if you're an outgoing person that still wants
- 58:58if you both start off as very active people and
- 59:01a very active couple, you want to keep that going,
- 59:03doing stuff together, going outdoors. And then your spouse decides, Nope,
- 59:08I'm just going to be an introvert and stay home.
- 59:11Because you made a vow to them twenty years ago
- 59:13or thirty years ago, however long ago. That's not fair
- 59:17to you. They're the ones that didn't keep their vow
- 59:20to you, not you, you know, So it just you know,
- 59:27if you had a very once somebody gets lazy and complacent.
- 59:31You know.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Let's talk about the sex thing.
- 59:33Speaker 1: The guy says, after four to six months, you know,
- 59:35he wants to have sex. So after four to six months,
- 59:38he said, every woman's the same. You know, they stop
- 59:41wanting to have sex once they think they got you. Well,
- 59:43what does that say about what you were doing? So
- 59:48back to the fixable. Not everything is fixable, but I
- 59:52think everything can be, you know, you can try to
- 59:54fix everything and if it doesn't work, you gotta go.
- 59:58And the guy with the sex thing means if after
- 1:00:01four to six months your h every woman that you've
- 1:00:06ever dated doesn't want to have sex with you anymore
- 1:00:07because I think they got you, then that means you're
- 1:00:10doing something You're doing something wrong, or the women that
- 1:00:14you're choosing never wanted to have sex in the first
- 1:00:17place and they're just doing it to get a man.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: I mean, do you guys ever think about that? Who?
- 1:00:23Why did your sex.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Life die in the first place in your marriage? I
- 1:00:31did go a point when the rhythm of the valley
- 1:00:33is Romeo already four to two, five, four, seven to
- 1:00:36seven in Romeo. I've been listening to what you were
- 1:00:39talking about this morning and the people getting divorced, why
- 1:00:43they got divorced and staying together. I think that you
- 1:00:47have a bunch of shallow people that you're talking to.
- 1:00:52A real marriage deals with problems and you get through
- 1:00:56it together.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: People who talk about sex.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Or why being an issue in a marriage are just
- 1:01:02shallow people, materialistic, They don't really love each other.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not fair. Sex is a.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Very important part of a relationship, Okay, and for some
- 1:01:18people it is. For some people it isn't. So what's
- 1:01:20important is for the people that sex is a big
- 1:01:24deal in a relationship, they need to find each other okay,
- 1:01:29and they need to work on it. That's not shallow
- 1:01:32or superficial because sex, sex is a is a big,
- 1:01:36a big thing in relationships. So would you say attractiveness?
- 1:01:41So is attractiveness? How can you be with somebody you're
- 1:01:45not attracted to? It doesn't have to be weight. It
- 1:01:49could be work ethic, it could.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Be how you, you.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Know, help your spouse. I mean, there's a lot of
- 1:01:57different ways to be attracted to somebody, but you can't
- 1:02:01discount those and call people shallow because if they care
- 1:02:06about that, it's okay to care about sex in your marriage.
- 1:02:11It's okay to care about being attracted to your spouse
- 1:02:15or being attractive for your spouse.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Those are all.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Reasonable things you need to deal with in a marriage.
- 1:02:24So I'm not totally sure what you're talking about, But
- 1:02:27what do you guys think?
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Marriage is?
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Two people find each other, they commit in their thirties,
- 1:02:32and then all of a sudden, everything's just they got
- 1:02:34to stay together, even if they hate each other. They
- 1:02:36got to stay together even they don't not attract it
- 1:02:38to each other. They got to stay together even if
- 1:02:40they can't communicate with each other. They got to stay
- 1:02:42together even if they you know, I mean, I don't.
- 1:02:46All of it plays a part in the relationship. And
- 1:02:50all we're saying is you think most of you guys,
- 1:02:53think you've won because you made it through some tough times.
- 1:02:59That's different than being miserable because you don't get what
- 1:03:03you want. You think you won because your marriage outlasted
- 1:03:10even though you were both unhappy in your marriage. That's
- 1:03:16not life, that's not living life. That's not fair to
- 1:03:18either one of you. So I don't know what you
- 1:03:22were talking about. The idea is to find somebody, or
- 1:03:29I shouldn't even say it like that because it's so
- 1:03:31even when I say it like.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: That, it sounds silly.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: But the old idea was to find somebody that you
- 1:03:38can love for the rest of your life and live
- 1:03:42a happy, fulfilling life.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Right, that was the plan, But.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Realistically that's not what really happens. And then you think
- 1:03:57you've won because after forty years or thirty years, you've
- 1:04:00been miserable for most of that.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Time, that you won. No you didn't win.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Already four two, five, four or seven to seven. All
- 1:04:09I'm saying is you need to figure it out. There's
- 1:04:15no reason to be unhappy. And if you're somebody that
- 1:04:19likes to have sex with the person you married and
- 1:04:22it's not happening, you need to figure it out. If
- 1:04:26your husband has a beer gut and you're not attracted
- 1:04:28to that anymore, you guys need to figure it out.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Who's responsible? Is it?
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: Is?
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: It? Is?
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: It?
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Is it the responsibility of the person.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Who is not attractive anymore to change or the person
- 1:04:42who is not attracted to that person anymore to change.
- 1:04:48It's not a simple answer. It's not into four point one.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Hi, Yeah, what's up?
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: I was gonna go off with the prompt that you
- 1:04:56are you still talking about the marriage and divorce?
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: What do you What are you talk about?
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: So I believe it's the romantic size of it. Like
- 1:05:04with sex, I think, like I know me, I like
- 1:05:09to be made out with. And I think sometimes like
- 1:05:12we forget that sex isn't a task. So I think
- 1:05:16that's a lot of the time why it starts dying out. Yeah,
- 1:05:21it's like the romantics behind it. And I'm not talking like, oh,
- 1:05:25you know, soon me off my feet, like we just
- 1:05:27want on our first date. Sure, but definitely like just
- 1:05:32making it feel other than task.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I could see that.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: And well, and now I'm gonna say this after everything
- 1:05:40I said today, men tend to make it feel like
- 1:05:43a task, which in turn changes their sex life, but
- 1:05:46they don't realize it.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: So yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: And I mean that's like like you said. I was
- 1:05:53because I was literally just listening to what you were
- 1:05:55saying where you had said, like, you know, if you
- 1:06:00don't like something, then tell your partner, because I mean
- 1:06:02the whole point is to change together so that you
- 1:06:05stay happy.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: You know that is Yeah, that's exactly what you have
- 1:06:10to do, especially if they're all things that are fixable
- 1:06:12within reason of what you know, if you really love
- 1:06:15and care and want to stay married and all that stuff,
- 1:06:18you got to fix it together. What are you know,
- 1:06:21changed together in ways that are compatible for both of you.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: That's absolutely I agree with you.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Well, it's nice talking to you.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: I'm a good one.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: By the problem is either you guys are too selfish,
- 1:06:35too stubborn, too stupid, or don't really care, you know, caring,
- 1:06:41you know, people will say, if you really cared about
- 1:06:45your relationship, you would figure it out. Okay, But it's
- 1:06:49not a one sided conversation. It's not a one sided deal.
- 1:06:54You know, all these people out here who believe that
- 1:06:58they're just supposed to accept everything their spouse does because
- 1:07:04they married him, you're wrong. You're not supposed to You
- 1:07:10don't have to.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Now, that doesn't mean that you turn on them and
- 1:07:16you get divorced.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: It means.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: It could be fixable. I'm not getting enough sex in
- 1:07:23my life. How do we fix that? I'm not attracted
- 1:07:28to you for whatever reason. Most of the time it's weight,
- 1:07:31But I've not attracted you for whatever reason. How do
- 1:07:34we fix that? Well, you don't. I'd like you to
- 1:07:35shave more. I'd like you to dress a little better
- 1:07:38like you used to.
- 1:07:39Speaker 9: Like.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: I mean, there's all these things going on, and women
- 1:07:42have the same problems. You know.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Oh, I'm at home, so I'm just supposed to look ratty.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Won't what's wrong with looking nice for your husband when
- 1:07:51he comes home or vice versa. All the stuff I'm
- 1:07:54saying goes both ways. But you guys don't want to
- 1:07:59do that already. Four two five four or seven to seven.
- 1:08:03Would you send me here? Let's see here, man room.
- 1:08:08These people are so dumb. You explain to him a
- 1:08:10hundred different ways, and they still don't get it.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: Us.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Men love attractive women. Women love money. Guess what if
- 1:08:17you get. If she gets fat, he's leaving her. If
- 1:08:21he runs out of money, she's leaving. When the relationship started,
- 1:08:25they would have sex three times a day, and after
- 1:08:28years of marriage, she gives it to him once a week.
- 1:08:31It's not gonna work now, the lasting forever part don't
- 1:08:35make sense. One get at people that get married through church.
- 1:08:40But there's nothing wrong with divorcing someone if you're not happy.
- 1:08:44Life is too short. Well, and that's the point is
- 1:08:50it's it's okay, I'm about advocating. I'm advocating you try
- 1:08:54to fixture your relationships and get what you want out
- 1:08:57of your relationship. Because you obviously love somebody enough to
- 1:09:01marry them, you should get what you want out of
- 1:09:05that marriage. Though it's just not fair and there's no
- 1:09:11reason for somebody to live like that. You don't have to, okay.
- 1:09:17But on the flip side of that is you guys
- 1:09:19quit too easily. It's not that it's not that you
- 1:09:23you you know what, you're a quitter. If you get divorced,
- 1:09:26it's the fact that you quit too easily instead of
- 1:09:28trying to fix it. And if it still doesn't get fixed,
- 1:09:31then you quit or divorce already fourteen five four or
- 1:09:36seven to seven. The guy who said people are dumb,
- 1:09:39they're not listening to me. I don't think they're dumb.
- 1:09:42I just think you don't care enough. I think you
- 1:09:45have been. It's been so ingrained in you that once
- 1:09:49you marry somebody, you're supposed to just love them how
- 1:09:52they are, no matter what. Well, there are some real
- 1:09:56exceptions to those rules that we you don't accept people
- 1:10:01for you know that are black and white. But there's
- 1:10:04a whole lot of gray area there too. You know,
- 1:10:08I knew this woman. I still know her. But she
- 1:10:11had three sisters and a couple of friends.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: It was a you know, it was a group of
- 1:10:20girls that we all knew.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: And she would get up every morning and do her
- 1:10:25makeup before her husband got well before they were married.
- 1:10:28Nobody ever saw her without makeup and dressed nice. And
- 1:10:34she took pride in that when she got married she
- 1:10:39would actually get up early, put her makeup on for
- 1:10:42her for her husband, because she didn't want her husband
- 1:10:45to see her like that.
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: I don't know that she'd get all done up and
- 1:10:47dressed before he went to work, but she was proud
- 1:10:50of that.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: And her sisters, oh no, one of her sisters was
- 1:10:55the same way her. The other her other two sisters
- 1:10:57made fun of her. Thought she was ridiculed, thought she
- 1:11:00was doing too much. Her friends used to say, she's
- 1:11:02doing too much. Why would you do that for a man?
- 1:11:05Guess who's still married and not going through a second
- 1:11:09or third.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Divorce her, but.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Her friends or sisters all been divorced because they you know,
- 1:11:19they're not doing anything like that for a man. That's
- 1:11:23going too far. She's still happily married. She aculy married
- 1:11:27to a friend of mine, but she's still happily married.
- 1:11:30I don't actually know if she still does it.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: I haven't seen him in years.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: But my point being is she was proud of herself
- 1:11:37for doing that now, whether she did it for him
- 1:11:40or not. And you know what the worst part about
- 1:11:44it was, he didn't even care. He just accepted her
- 1:11:48for who she was. Because that's so. But the point is,
- 1:11:51nobody does it. You guys get lazy, you get complacent,
- 1:11:54and then you wonder, and then you you expect somebody
- 1:11:57to just stay with you. They're supposed to stay with you. Hey, Romeo,
- 1:12:01I like what you said. I am a stay at
- 1:12:04home wife. Me and my husband been married seventeen years.
- 1:12:07I try every day to look good for him when
- 1:12:11he comes home. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
- 1:12:14Sometimes it doesn't happen because you know, you got to
- 1:12:17deal with kids and you're cleaning. But most of the
- 1:12:21time I try to stay attractive for him. But also
- 1:12:26he tries to show that he appreciates me when he
- 1:12:30gets home in little ways. Sometimes he'll bring me flowers.
- 1:12:33Sometimes he'll call me on the way home just to
- 1:12:36say he's excited to see me. So we do have
- 1:12:40little things that make that keep us attracted to each other.
- 1:12:45Now by saying that, a lot of people, friends and
- 1:12:50family don't understand why we are together. I stay in shape,
- 1:12:55I work out. My husband works hard, but he's got
- 1:12:59a twenty pounds that he could lose. But I would
- 1:13:03never tell him that, although you just did. I would
- 1:13:06never tell him that because are because my because my attractiveness.
- 1:13:13Oh the reason you're attracted to him. Is not necessarily
- 1:13:17his weight, it's the other little things that he does
- 1:13:20for me.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: Okay, well that's what I'm saying. What's wrong with it?
- 1:13:23You people get so upset when't you get married? Yeah,
- 1:13:26you guys are all right?
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Eight four, two, five, four, seven and seven. Hey, Romeo,
- 1:13:32I think it's kind of funny what you just said. Funny, haha, funny.
- 1:13:36What how that guy might just call his wife to
- 1:13:40say he's on his way home, he missus, or I've
- 1:13:42done that before, and my coworkers make fun of me,
- 1:13:46like there's something wrong with calling my wife and saying
- 1:13:51I miss her, like I'm some sort of punk or something,
- 1:13:53when the reality is me and my wife we love
- 1:13:55each other. You know, there is something to that. There
- 1:14:01is something to the fact that how often.
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: And how often.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Nowadays do you hear people degrade their spouse publicly you're
- 1:14:16in a group of friends. It's almost like it's taboo
- 1:14:22to say something nice about your spouse publicly. You know,
- 1:14:27whether you're with a group of friends, whether you're just
- 1:14:29talking to your friends or anybody. Why is it so
- 1:14:33wrong to say yes I love my husband, or yes
- 1:14:36I love my wife or yes, they do this, they
- 1:14:39do that, they're great at this, they're great at that.
- 1:14:41And what because you're in embarrassed other couples whose relationships might.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: Not be that good. That's on them, not you.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: But there is something to the fact that you get
- 1:14:54ridiculed for praising your spouse.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: And you get high fived for degrading them.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: Probio in the Morning, every morning morning, on ninety four
- 1:15:06point one
