- 0:14Speaker 1: take some calls. Let's go to Sal in New Jersey, Sal,
- 0:17Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 0:18Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark? Mark? When when Maya Mom Donnie says
- 0:22Speaker 3: he wants to tax the rich and go after the rich,
- 0:25Speaker 3: he's gonna end up hurting everybody because the rich they're
- 0:29Speaker 3: the ones that create the jobs.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I think I think we just didn't we just say that, yes? Thanks?
- 0:36Speaker 3: So?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Uh?
- 0:37Speaker 1: You know the other problem, I don't think he's ever
- 0:38Speaker 1: met with anybody, you know, the tax people. I don't
- 0:41Speaker 1: think mom Donnie ever sat down and says, show me
- 0:43Speaker 1: where our taxes come from. I don't think he knows
- 0:46Speaker 1: that the top one percent pays forty percent of the
- 0:49Speaker 1: tax in there. I don't think he's aware of that.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing
- 0:55Speaker 1: good morning?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Mark?
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yes? Mike?
- 0:58Speaker 2: No?
- 0:58Speaker 4: Uh? Tom opened up for Sinatra? Uh? Was he the
- 1:03Speaker 4: only comedian who opened for him? And did Snatra have
- 1:06Speaker 4: other singers ever opened for him?
- 1:08Speaker 2: No?
- 1:09Speaker 1: Career always a comedian it was pat Henry for millions
- 1:13Speaker 1: of years a couple of decades, and then uh was
- 1:17Speaker 1: his name. After pat Henry was going, It was Jackie
- 1:19Speaker 1: Gaylee for a while, and then it was Tom Dreesen,
- 1:22Speaker 1: who is a great guy, the nicest guy in the world.
- 1:25Speaker 1: He maybe that may not be the top comedian of
- 1:27Speaker 1: the world, but he's a nice guy and a wife. Yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 1: he's a.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Good would only be Vegas would have been No. Whenever
- 1:34Speaker 4: he toured, he'd bring those guys along.
- 1:36Speaker 1: No, you tour all over the world with him, and
- 1:39Speaker 1: the wife loved Tom Dreesen. That's one reason Sinatra kept him.
- 1:42Speaker 1: He kept the wife busy. And then uh, he did
- 1:46Speaker 1: have a singer for a little while. There was a
- 1:48Speaker 1: cash crunch at one time, and Sinatra didn't have the
- 1:52Speaker 1: private jets. So you remember for a year or two,
- 1:54Speaker 1: Pia Zadora was the opening act and that was Oh
- 1:56Speaker 1: I got that was because the has been lent two
- 2:01Speaker 1: private jets to the tour. So, but it's a good question.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Let's go to Rich and Myrtle Beach. Rich,
- 2:09Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Hey? Thanks? Speaking of Sinatra, My wife and I sware him.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I guess was maybe your early nineties late eighties. He
- 2:16Speaker 2: was at Jones Beach a couple of times. He had
- 2:18Speaker 2: Don Rickles open up for him several times.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Well, well, actually that that wasn't an opening act. Don
- 2:23Speaker 1: Rickles was co builled with him. They were both on
- 2:26Speaker 1: the bill together.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That was a oh, but that was a couple of
- 2:29Speaker 2: great shows that Joe's beacher. Yeah, hey, can this guy
- 2:33Speaker 2: that Munbani is targeting? Can he sue Mandanni personally?
- 2:38Speaker 1: He could, but that's not you know, you're worth fifty billion,
- 2:41Speaker 1: You're going to sue this little weasel.
- 2:44Speaker 2: No, you don't have to sue, just taking your money
- 2:46Speaker 2: and running. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Mean if you sued, what would you get money? I mean,
- 2:50Speaker 1: he doesn't need the money, but you just pick up the.
- 2:54Speaker 2: One last thing mark, you know. Do we know how
- 2:56Speaker 2: much Mumdannie was worth when he came into office? Were
- 2:58Speaker 2: we going to keep track of how he's going to
- 3:00Speaker 2: of like quadruple his worth when he leaves office. Just
- 3:03Speaker 2: like all these other cyclists.
- 3:04Speaker 1: He's from a very wealthy family. He's well off. He
- 3:07Speaker 1: doesn't need any money, and I don't think you have
- 3:08Speaker 1: to worry about him profiting in office. He's not that bright.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I don't think you could figure out how to do it.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Thanks Mark.
- 3:15Speaker 1: He's probably the only politician will be worth less money
- 3:17Speaker 1: when he leaves. Let's go to Neil in Brooklyn. Neil,
- 3:20Speaker 1: how you doing all right?
- 3:22Speaker 5: Thank you, Mark. Someone brought up Gary Content the other day. Yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 5: and nine to eleven kept him out at the newspapers.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Yeah, you know that.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Also, Dan Radab benefited because there was a count going
- 3:36Speaker 5: on how many knights in a row. Dan rather would
- 3:40Speaker 5: not mention the story, and one of the reasons was
- 3:43Speaker 5: his daughter worked for Gary Content, So it's nine to
- 3:46Speaker 5: eleven saved him too in a way.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. Good point. Yeah, it was back in
- 3:51Speaker 1: two thousand and one. This would have been in the summer.
- 3:55Speaker 1: There was two major scandals. One was Gary Content, who
- 4:00Speaker 1: he was a congressman, having an affair with a young
- 4:02Speaker 1: intern was the name Chandra Levy. They were having an
- 4:06Speaker 1: affair and then she turned up dead in a field
- 4:10Speaker 1: near his house, so he was the chief suspect. It
- 4:14Speaker 1: turned out wasn't the guy that did it. Somebody else
- 4:17Speaker 1: did it. But he was all over the news twenty
- 4:19Speaker 1: four to seven. It was the biggest story. He was
- 4:21Speaker 1: in the middle of the worst scandal imaginable, it would
- 4:24Speaker 1: never go away. Then nine to eleven happened and he
- 4:27Speaker 1: was never mentioned again. So as awful as nine to
- 4:30Speaker 1: eleven was for this guy, it was a dream come
- 4:32Speaker 1: true that it got him out of the news. But
- 4:34Speaker 1: there were three scandals go There was do you remember there?
- 4:37Speaker 1: It was a Little League Baseball World Championship and one
- 4:41Speaker 1: of the players who was supposed to be fourteen turned
- 4:43Speaker 1: out he was like twenty three. That was another big
- 4:46Speaker 1: scandal got wiped out by nine to eleven, and I
- 4:48Speaker 1: forgot about that Dan Rather thing. You know, he was
- 4:50Speaker 1: really the father of modern day fake news with the
- 4:53Speaker 1: fake George Bush going a Wall story, and yeah, he
- 4:57Speaker 1: had a connection to Gary Condent. It was the biggest
- 4:59Speaker 1: story in the news, and he wouldn't mention it on
- 5:02Speaker 1: the news. He wouldn't even do the story. So and
- 5:05Speaker 1: everybody started to notice and he was getting a lot
- 5:06Speaker 1: of talk. Again, nine to eleven erased the whole thing. Hey,
- 5:10Speaker 1: when we come back, the brilliant economist, the best business writer,
- 5:14Speaker 1: John Carney, he'll be with us next. We'll talk about
- 5:16Speaker 1: the FED, we'll talk about Iran, We'll get to Ken
- 5:19Speaker 1: Griffin and Moore coming up on seven to ten wor
