Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
- 0:05Speaker 2: today's word.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Focused Forward, Focused Forward.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Philippians three thirteen says, I am not all that I
- 0:15Speaker 2: should be, but I am bringing all my energies to
- 0:19Speaker 2: bear on this one thing forgetting the past and looking
- 0:22Speaker 2: forward to what lies ahead.
- 0:26Speaker 1: That's from the Living Bible, y'all.
- 0:27Speaker 2: One of the saddest realities in life is that so
- 0:31Speaker 2: many people never become who they were created to be.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Someone once said, the richest place in the world is
- 0:38Speaker 2: not the stock market. It's not the oil fill or
- 0:41Speaker 2: even the diamond minds. It's the graveyard buried. There are
- 0:47Speaker 2: books that were never written, businesses that were never started,
- 0:51Speaker 2: ministries that were never launched in, inventions that were never developed,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and relationships that were never healed. Not because people lack
- 0:59Speaker 2: the ten but because they got distracted, they got discouraged,
- 1:03Speaker 2: or they got stuck in the past. The apostle Paul
- 1:08Speaker 2: understood this danger. He had a powerful past, both good
- 1:12Speaker 2: and bad. He had achievements he could brag about and
- 1:16Speaker 2: failures he could be ashamed of. Yet he said, this
- 1:19Speaker 2: one thing I do. He made a decision not to
- 1:23Speaker 2: live looking backward. He refused to let regret define him
- 1:28Speaker 2: or success distract him. He focused forward. Many people spend
- 1:34Speaker 2: too much energy replaying what didn't work out. They think
- 1:39Speaker 2: about the mistakes, They think about the doors that close,
- 1:42Speaker 2: They think about the opportunities they miss, and they let
- 1:45Speaker 2: yesterday still today's strength. Others are busy trying to do
- 1:50Speaker 2: everything at once. They are talented in many areas, but
- 1:55Speaker 2: spread so thin that they never truly.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Excel in any of them.
- 2:01Speaker 2: You can do many things, but you were designed to
- 2:04Speaker 2: do one main thing with excellence. Ask yourself, what could
- 2:09Speaker 2: my life look like one year from now if I
- 2:12Speaker 2: eliminated the distractions and poured by energy into the assignments
- 2:17Speaker 2: that God put it by heart. It may mean taking
- 2:20Speaker 2: a class, It may mean getting your finances in order.
- 2:23Speaker 2: It may mean finding a mentor it may mean saying
- 2:26Speaker 2: no to good things so you can say yes to
- 2:29Speaker 2: the best thing. God doesn't bless confusion, He does bless focus.
- 2:36Speaker 2: When you concentrate your energy instead of scattering it. Progress
- 2:39Speaker 2: accelerates when you stop trying to be everything and decide
- 2:44Speaker 2: to become who God called you to be.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Momentum begins to build.
- 2:48Speaker 2: You start moving with purpose, instead of drifting through seasons.
- 2:51Speaker 2: The future God prepared for you doesn't require perfection, it
- 2:56Speaker 2: does require direction.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Let go of what workout.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Stop rehearsing the failure, Stop comparing yourself to other people.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Your assignment is not behind you. It's still ahead of you.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And when you commit to that one thing, you'll discover
- 3:11Speaker 2: that focus Unlock's favor. Come on, Jesus, Father, thank you
- 3:15Speaker 2: for the gifts and the talents that you placed inside
- 3:18Speaker 2: of us. Thank you that you created us with purpose
- 3:20Speaker 2: and intention. Help us God to release the past, remove
- 3:24Speaker 2: distractions and focus on.
- 3:25Speaker 1: The one thing you called us to do. God, we
- 3:28Speaker 1: declare that we will move.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Forward with clarity, discipline, and excellence in Jesus' name.
- 3:34Speaker 1: That's your word for today.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Take it applied to your everyday life, and you continue
- 3:38Speaker 2: to be encouraged and inspired. It is your early morning
- 3:41Speaker 2: praise party. I am Sherry Mackie.
