- 0:18Speaker 1: Well, hello there, welcome back to JFK Book Reviews. I
- 0:23Speaker 1: am Big Bad Bob aka Rob Clark along with you today,
- 0:29Speaker 1: No Joe today, But what is gloss? Right over that
- 0:32Speaker 1: and proceed. So instead of two hosts today, we have
- 0:35Speaker 1: two books we're going to be reviewing today. And why
- 0:39Speaker 1: two books, you might ask, Well, I view them as
- 0:42Speaker 1: sister books if you will, even though they were published
- 0:46Speaker 1: thirty eight years apart. But we'll get there, I promise. Now,
- 0:52Speaker 1: there's been a lot.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Of people out there.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Who have quote unquote, had alleged involved either tangentially or
- 1:02Speaker 1: directly in the assassination of John F. Kennedy in the
- 1:09Speaker 1: nineteen sixties. During the Garson investigation, he decided to focus
- 1:17Speaker 1: on two men for some reason, two of those men
- 1:22Speaker 1: being Thomas Beckham and the other one being Fred Lee Chrisman.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So let's start with Murder of a City, Tacoma by
- 1:33Speaker 1: John Gold. Now you might be saying, who the hell's
- 1:38Speaker 1: John gold?
- 1:39Speaker 2: Well.
- 1:41Speaker 1: John Gold is actually Fred Lee Christman, known to his
- 1:48Speaker 1: radio and television audiences as John Gold, a former teacher,
- 1:53Speaker 1: school administrator, and presently a freelance political writer. He was
- 1:57Speaker 1: a fight fighter pilot in World War Two, and was
- 2:01Speaker 1: recalled to serve another thirty months. That's two and a
- 2:04Speaker 1: half years for you focus out there, accounting during the
- 2:08Speaker 1: Korean War. Now this book, if you go down here
- 2:14Speaker 1: to the last paragraph, he names himself as a liberal Democrat.
- 2:19Speaker 1: He's been classified as a far right extremist, member of
- 2:22Speaker 1: the mafia, and secret agent of the CIA. He denies
- 2:27Speaker 1: being anything but what he is, a sincere man dedicated
- 2:29Speaker 1: to seeing the return of decent, honest, representative government to
- 2:34Speaker 1: his hometown. That is Murder of a City, Tacoma.
- 2:43Speaker 2: By John Gold.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Now the other book that we have here will be
- 2:48Speaker 1: talking about today is Remnants of Truth, an anachronism for
- 2:55Speaker 1: rot or Rot. Is this what Thomas Beckham is telling
- 3:01Speaker 1: us to do to rot in Hell? I don't know.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:06Speaker 1: This book here was published in two thousand and eight.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Murder of a City Tacoma published in nineteen seventy.
- 3:15Speaker 2: We'll flip it over.
- 3:17Speaker 1: We've got a picture of the good Rabbi Thomas Bacham
- 3:24Speaker 1: because he now spells it with a apostrophe after the h.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Now a rabbi of the Hebrew Faith, Rabbi Doctor Beckham,
- 3:35Speaker 1: has put together a book that brings together the people
- 3:38Speaker 1: whom Jim Garrison tried to prove were involved in the assassination.
- 3:46Speaker 1: These books, despite being published thirty eight years apart, are
- 3:50Speaker 1: remarkably similar in stature.
- 3:54Speaker 2: And size. They were both.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Into penantly self published, if you will, you said, very
- 4:07Speaker 1: very similar in size and stature. That's why I decided
- 4:12Speaker 1: to pair them up. And not only that, these are
- 4:15Speaker 1: two of the rarest books concerning figures that have been
- 4:20Speaker 1: alleged to be involved in the JFK assassination. I couldn't
- 4:24Speaker 1: find him anywhere on the Internet where you could actually
- 4:26Speaker 1: buy a copy. The links to the Amazon page will
- 4:30Speaker 1: be in the description, so you can keep checking back.
- 4:32Speaker 1: If you're watching this two years from now, six months
- 4:35Speaker 1: from now, somebody may have copies up there by then.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:39Speaker 1: But right now, as of the taping of this book review,
- 4:43Speaker 1: there are none. There's none on eBay, there's none in
- 4:47Speaker 1: any specialty bookstore that I found.
- 4:49Speaker 2: There's just none. None.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So very interesting. Now, let's start off with Murder of
- 4:59Speaker 1: a City Tacoma by John Gold aka Fredley Crismin. Now,
- 5:05Speaker 1: Fridley Crispmin was implicated in the assassination by Jim Garrison,
- 5:09Speaker 1: alleging him to be one of the three tramps, one
- 5:13Speaker 1: of the assassins on the Grassy know And in this
- 5:17Speaker 1: book Murder of a City, he does acknowledge these allegations.
- 5:25Speaker 1: This book was written a mere two years, you know,
- 5:29Speaker 1: after two or three years after he traveled to New
- 5:33Speaker 1: Orleans to defend himself against Garrison's allegations. Now, of course
- 5:38Speaker 1: he denies everything, okay, but he does have.
- 5:45Speaker 2: A very interesting background.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Starting back in nineteen forty seven in a little something
- 5:53Speaker 1: called the Maury Island Incident, which predates Roswell the Crash
- 6:00Speaker 1: UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico by a month or two,
- 6:05Speaker 1: I believe. Now, Crispin was involved with a man named
- 6:12Speaker 1: Harold Dahl who alleged to see several saucer shaped UFOs
- 6:22Speaker 1: flying over the sound. They were out collecting logs that
- 6:29Speaker 1: had fallen off of logging barges. They were basically scrappers.
- 6:34Speaker 1: They were picking up scraps, and allegedly, during this UFO incident,
- 6:43Speaker 1: one of these flying saucers appeared to be having some
- 6:49Speaker 1: difficulty as far as wobbling and not being able to
- 6:54Speaker 1: fly as good as the other craft. And at some
- 6:57Speaker 1: point this craft allegedly leaked some sludge or some kind
- 7:03Speaker 1: of weird material onto the boat that these guys were
- 7:07Speaker 1: on and ended up.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Injuring.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I can't remember if it was Christmas son or Harold
- 7:18Speaker 1: Dahl's son, but it also killed a dog on board
- 7:23Speaker 1: the boat allegedly. Now, the FBI was sent out there
- 7:28Speaker 1: to investigate this claim. Unfortunately, two of the pilots that
- 7:42Speaker 1: accompanied the FBI agents out there ended up dying in
- 7:47Speaker 1: a plane crash on the way back. They had collected
- 7:51Speaker 1: this sludge material to be analyzed by the FBI in
- 7:56Speaker 1: some cereal boxes. Now, in the nineteen the issue of
- 8:00Speaker 1: Fate magazine, Chrismin insisted that the incident was not a hoax.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Chrisman wrote, why if we were such blackguards and deliberately
- 8:08Speaker 1: caused the deaths of two air Force pilots and the
- 8:11Speaker 1: loss of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars airplane, did
- 8:14Speaker 1: not the government or some agency then attempt to see
- 8:17Speaker 1: justice to the courts of the state or federal government.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Good point.
- 8:24Speaker 1: He was also heavily involved in writing for Amazing Stories magazine, and.
- 8:33Speaker 2: The Shaver Mysteries were.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Kind of incorporating all this. Now, his buddy Harold thought
- 8:40Speaker 1: that the nineteen sixties TV series The Invaders was based
- 8:43Speaker 1: on Christman's life. Apparently had a very mysterious life, you know,
- 8:53Speaker 1: like I said, prior to all this, you know, in
- 8:55Speaker 1: the military. He actually left the military in February of
- 9:00Speaker 1: nineteen forty six, and of course this Maury Island and
- 9:03Speaker 1: incident happened in nineteen forty seven. But he joined the
- 9:07Speaker 1: Army in nineteen forty two in the of World War Two,
- 9:12Speaker 1: enlisted in the Army, entering the service with the rank
- 9:14Speaker 1: of second lieutenant based on his.
- 9:19Speaker 2: College degree, and.
- 9:23Speaker 1: In nineteen forty three he was listed as an aviation
- 9:25Speaker 1: cadet undergoing training at Lancaster, California. He was awarded the
- 9:29Speaker 1: Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He left the
- 9:33Speaker 1: Army as a first lieutenant four years later, like I said,
- 9:36Speaker 1: in February of nineteen forty six. And he was a
- 9:40Speaker 1: real veterans advocate. He was a member of the State Bureau,
- 9:45Speaker 1: Washington State Bureau of Veterans Affairs, the Seattle American Veterans Chapter.
- 9:51Speaker 1: He used to give speeches endorsing certain folks up there,
- 10:00Speaker 1: big an Alliance Club, the Kawana's Club, the am Vettes,
- 10:03Speaker 1: things like that, and then he gets sucked into this
- 10:06Speaker 1: UFO deal, and then he gets sucked into the clay
- 10:10Speaker 1: Shaw trial. Okay, now why did he get sucked into
- 10:16Speaker 1: this clay Shaw trial. Well, Garrison was investigating some of
- 10:23Speaker 1: these fake bishops, if you will, and their diploma mills,
- 10:32Speaker 1: and apparently Chrisman and Beckham and Ferry and Jack Martin
- 10:41Speaker 1: and a lot of these other guys around New Orleans
- 10:45Speaker 1: at the time were heavily involved in this type of thing.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You know, it was a con, nothing more, nothing less.
- 10:58Speaker 1: He did go on to work at Boeing Aircraft Lockheed
- 11:03Speaker 1: Aircraft in Los Angeles. Now, Beckham alleges that he was
- 11:08Speaker 1: either high military intelligence or CIA. He alleged that he
- 11:16Speaker 1: had a phone in his very brand new Cadillac, which
- 11:22Speaker 1: in nineteen sixties was unheard of. Okay, people didn't have
- 11:28Speaker 1: carphones back then, but allegedly Fred Chrismin did, which is interesting.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Again. Chrismin died in nineteen seventy.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Five, and basically in his book, like I said, he
- 11:46Speaker 1: devotes one chapter to the JFK assassination subject, and maybe
- 11:53Speaker 1: three to four paragraphs in that chapter specifically, he does
- 11:58Speaker 1: tend to wander a bit in his ramblings, but it's
- 12:02Speaker 1: basically a full blown denial of any of Garrison's allegations,
- 12:08Speaker 1: which I understand now. The more interesting allegations against Fridley
- 12:18Speaker 1: Crispin come from Thomas Beckham. Now, Thomas Beckham was a
- 12:25Speaker 1: young con man living in New Orleans in the early
- 12:30Speaker 1: nineteen late fifties and early sixties. He was involved in
- 12:35Speaker 1: many quick money making schemes, including running a diploma mill,
- 12:44Speaker 1: ordaining people in a weird church, and hell, even crooning
- 12:51Speaker 1: some country tunes under a different moniker, another assumed name.
- 12:59Speaker 1: So he's a guy who had many fingers in many pies,
- 13:03Speaker 1: if you will. Now, what's interesting about this book, published
- 13:09Speaker 1: in two thousand and eight, Remnants of Truth, is by
- 13:12Speaker 1: this time, by the time he publishes his own book,
- 13:18Speaker 1: he has already really come clean to the House Select
- 13:21Speaker 1: Committee on Assassinations, and he had admitted a lot of
- 13:27Speaker 1: things to them that he did not admit during the
- 13:31Speaker 1: Garrison investigation in the Garrison Grand Jury. Now, of course,
- 13:39Speaker 1: by this time, David Ferry is dead, Clay Shaw is dead, Fred.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Christman is dead.
- 13:49Speaker 1: So by nineteen seventy seven seventy eight, when he decides
- 13:53Speaker 1: to talk to the HSCA and actually come clean or
- 13:59Speaker 1: tell her really fantastical story one of the two. You know,
- 14:05Speaker 1: these investigators, Delsa and Burris can't believe what they're hearing.
- 14:12Speaker 1: But they're running up against their own problems with the
- 14:14Speaker 1: HSCA as far as being able to fund an actual
- 14:19Speaker 1: investigation because at the time that they need to talk, well,
- 14:24Speaker 1: they do go and talk to Beckham a couple of times,
- 14:26Speaker 1: but they really want to bring him to Washington. Unfortunately,
- 14:32Speaker 1: he's he was currently incarcerated in the South at the time,
- 14:37Speaker 1: and the HSCA was getting pissed at Burris in Delsa
- 14:43Speaker 1: because they were racking up the air miles and the
- 14:46Speaker 1: bills to do their investigation there in New Orleans. Now
- 14:51Speaker 1: I get it, I get it. You know, this is
- 14:54Speaker 1: about the time that things were changing from Sprague to Blakey,
- 14:58Speaker 1: the focus shifting from these odd characters and what Garrison
- 15:03Speaker 1: was doing down there to a more mafia based slant
- 15:08Speaker 1: on things.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I get it.
- 15:11Speaker 1: But we do have transcripts of the Beckham interview, We
- 15:15Speaker 1: do have audio of the Beckham interview, and in later years,
- 15:23Speaker 1: you know, he was pretty much Thomas Beckham that is
- 15:27Speaker 1: pretty much ignored by most mainstream authors having to write
- 15:32Speaker 1: about the Kennedy assassination until along comes Joan Mellon. Now,
- 15:39Speaker 1: Joan did speak an interview Thomas Beckham for her book,
- 15:46Speaker 1: and some very interesting things kind of resurfaced, if you will,
- 15:53Speaker 1: because his Ahasca testimony had been buried in the archives
- 15:58Speaker 1: for many, many years at this point and hadn't really
- 16:02Speaker 1: been dug out and pursued and perused by the JFK
- 16:09Speaker 1: research community very well. And when she published her book
- 16:15Speaker 1: once his new relevatory interviews with Thomas Beckham, everybody was
- 16:20Speaker 1: raising eyebrows about this time, like hmm. And it was
- 16:25Speaker 1: around the same time that Thomas Beckham figured it'd probably
- 16:28Speaker 1: be a good idea to write his own book. Now,
- 16:33Speaker 1: this is an interesting book. It's not written well, folks,
- 16:38Speaker 1: all right, this dude probably had a seventh grade education,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and I'm not exaggerating.
- 16:43Speaker 2: It may sound like it, but I am not. Now
- 16:47Speaker 2: in this.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Book, it is a very basic book, and I mean basic.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And the writing is very large and takes up sometimes
- 17:04Speaker 1: not even the whole page, like there's room.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Okay. Very basic book.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Again, not written by you know, a guy who's going
- 17:19Speaker 1: to be winning any mental awards, but The interesting thing
- 17:28Speaker 1: here he kind of clarifies in his book, and he
- 17:32Speaker 1: doesn't really go off script of what he told the HSCA.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Some things in this book I want.
- 17:37Speaker 1: To read to you, folks, since it's so scarce out there,
- 17:40Speaker 1: you might never ever hear. But he says, I knew
- 17:43Speaker 1: the following people, and they all knew me, Jack Martin,
- 17:48Speaker 1: Jack Ruby, Fred Lee Crispin, Guy Banister, Roswell Thompson, Lawrence Howard, Lee,
- 17:55Speaker 1: Harvey Oswald, g Ray Gill, Hail Boggs, Carlos, Marcelo, Clay
- 18:01Speaker 1: Bertrand David Ferry, Lauren Hall, Aaron Cohne, Thomas Burdbank, Jack
- 18:09Speaker 1: Grimmelion W. T. Grant, Louis Rebel, Joe Newborough, just to
- 18:14Speaker 1: name a few that I can still remember. That's a lot.
- 18:21Speaker 1: And those are all names we've heard associated with the
- 18:24Speaker 1: Garrison investigation and the whole New Orleans slant on all
- 18:29Speaker 1: of this. Now, he alleges Jack Ruby or Jack Martin
- 18:36Speaker 1: was always an agency asset. He even writes, and here
- 18:45Speaker 1: a story about him, Jack Martin and Guy Banister going
- 18:49Speaker 1: to meet Falgencio Batista on a tarmac somewhere in Miami
- 18:58Speaker 1: with Batista handing over a sack containing probably one hundred
- 19:03Speaker 1: thousand dollars at least, they said, and this was to
- 19:07Speaker 1: fund these anti Castro Cuban exile raids against Castro. Very interesting,
- 19:20Speaker 1: very interesting. So I'm gonna cruise up here a little
- 19:30Speaker 1: bit to another part of the book and read you something.
- 19:39Speaker 1: We were all at the attorney Gray Gill's office, who
- 19:42Speaker 1: was David Ferry's attorney, when I was given a large
- 19:47Speaker 1: brown envelope to deliver to Dallas, Texas. I was driven
- 19:51Speaker 1: to the airport and given a couple of magazines, where
- 19:54Speaker 1: I put the envelopes that the attorney had given me.
- 19:57Speaker 1: He told me he knew that I like to talk
- 19:59Speaker 1: a lot. He said he didn't want, not want to
- 20:02Speaker 1: hurt my feelings, but what he had to say was
- 20:04Speaker 1: very important.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Excuse me.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I was not to speak to anyone on the plane.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I wasn't to wear any jewelry, flashy jewelry, or draw
- 20:14Speaker 1: any attention to myself. I was to take the envelope
- 20:17Speaker 1: to a room at the Executive n After leaving there,
- 20:21Speaker 1: I was to walk a good ways away before taking
- 20:23Speaker 1: a taxi back to the airport. As soon as I
- 20:26Speaker 1: got to Dallas, I hopped a taxi to the hotel,
- 20:29Speaker 1: and before I even got out of the taxi, I
- 20:32Speaker 1: was met by Lawrence Howard, who had been waiting for
- 20:35Speaker 1: me in an old Chevy. He was a really mean
- 20:38Speaker 1: looking dude. I gave him the envelope. After he opened it,
- 20:42Speaker 1: he asked me if there was anything else, and I
- 20:45Speaker 1: told him that was all I was supposed to deliver.
- 20:49Speaker 1: He asked me if I had ever opened it, and
- 20:51Speaker 1: I said, what are you talking about? I never opened it.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I walked away, walking for about twenty minutes or more
- 20:59Speaker 1: before gets another taxi back to the airport. I was
- 21:02Speaker 1: still mad about not being trusted by Howard. I kept
- 21:06Speaker 1: thinking of some things I should have or wanted to
- 21:08Speaker 1: have told him, and none of it was good enough.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I always had so much on my mind, working so
- 21:14Speaker 1: many things right next to each other. All I could
- 21:16Speaker 1: do was my job, well without even thinking about what
- 21:20Speaker 1: I did or what I had to do. So as
- 21:23Speaker 1: you can see, his writing style sucks. His storytelling is
- 21:29Speaker 1: not the best. I mean, you know, if this incident
- 21:35Speaker 1: really happened, I mean, just think about the detail that
- 21:37Speaker 1: you could go into about this, you know, and you know,
- 21:42Speaker 1: like he's going to do something against Lawrence Howard. Come
- 21:44Speaker 1: on now, and he finishes this little sub chapter with
- 21:49Speaker 1: the words you know everything or you know nothing.
- 21:54Speaker 2: You know.
- 21:54Speaker 1: He's pontificating, he's waxing poetic here.
- 21:59Speaker 2: And the book itself.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Is roughly about ninety pages long, which is not much,
- 22:09Speaker 1: especially with the big print. Now that's the actual book itself,
- 22:16Speaker 1: But on page ninety one of the book, for some reason,
- 22:25Speaker 1: he thinks it's a good idea to publish some letters
- 22:30Speaker 1: from some of his friends who believe in him. He says,
- 22:34Speaker 1: who is still my friend? I thought it would be
- 22:38Speaker 1: funny to see what some of the people I used
- 22:40Speaker 1: to know would say about me and JFK. I wanted
- 22:44Speaker 1: to share some of these silly and funny comments that
- 22:46Speaker 1: I received. There were a lot more, but they asked
- 22:50Speaker 1: that I didn't publish their letters. They all said that
- 22:53Speaker 1: they were looking forward to reading my book and hoped
- 22:56Speaker 1: that I would one day visit, but not own business.
- 23:01Speaker 1: So then we proceed to have about forty pages of
- 23:08Speaker 1: letters from random people that are signed such lovingly ways
- 23:14Speaker 1: as your friend, buddy, doctor Maddox. I mean, you can't
- 23:25Speaker 1: make this stuff up. Then he talks about his transition
- 23:28Speaker 1: to being a Jewish rabbi, despite being a lifelong con
- 23:35Speaker 1: man and spending a lot of time in jail, prison,
- 23:40Speaker 1: whatever you want to call it. And in the last
- 23:48Speaker 1: thirty pages or so of the book, he thought it
- 23:51Speaker 1: would be a good idea to list all of his degrees, honors,
- 23:55Speaker 1: and titles that he has proudly received to date, most
- 23:59Speaker 1: of which he probably he fabricated himself, which is interesting.
- 24:06Speaker 1: So he seriously he puts in copies of Certificate of Completion.
- 24:13Speaker 1: This certifies that Thomas Beckham has completed all required levels
- 24:18Speaker 1: of alcohol and drug and anger management studies as set
- 24:22Speaker 1: forth by the Louisiana Education and Training Center, and recognition
- 24:28Speaker 1: thereof is hereby awarded this certificate on the twenty third
- 24:32Speaker 1: day of October two thousand and three by h Wayne Crichton,
- 24:36Speaker 1: President and CEO of what, I don't know, something Counseling Services. Okay,
- 24:54Speaker 1: here's one from the United States Coastguard as an honorary
- 24:59Speaker 1: US Marine Officer.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I'm sure that's real. Yeah. And then we have below it.
- 25:12Speaker 1: From the International Theological Seminary of California, which sounds so legit.
- 25:21Speaker 1: This awards Thomas Beckham the degree Doctor of Theology with
- 25:26Speaker 1: a major in Christian Something Psychology two thousand and six.
- 25:35Speaker 1: It's got the seal and signatures and everything, folks, so
- 25:38Speaker 1: it must be legit.
- 25:40Speaker 2: And I mean it goes on and on.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Certificate of Field Supervision. The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary certifies
- 25:53Speaker 1: Rabbi Thomas Beckham as an approved field supervisor in the
- 25:58Speaker 1: Seminary Supervised Industry Experience Program. I don't even know what
- 26:03Speaker 1: any of that means, to be honest with you.
- 26:06Speaker 2: And then we have.
- 26:07Speaker 1: One from the Maryland State Homeopathic Medical Society Certification in
- 26:14Speaker 1: the Science of Homeopathic Medicine otherwise known as Hodoo voodoo
- 26:21Speaker 1: or mumbo jumbo.
- 26:26Speaker 2: So as you can see, he is parlayed.
- 26:30Speaker 1: What he started working on in the nineteen fifties and sixties.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Into a career.
- 26:44Speaker 1: All right, you know, hey, whatever works for you. You know,
- 26:52Speaker 1: it's better than sitting in jail or prison.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I would assume.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Again the con it's a long con with Beckham, a
- 27:04Speaker 1: long con. But is what he says a con? I mean,
- 27:13Speaker 1: it's just it's so mind blowing to try to figure
- 27:19Speaker 1: out if some of these people, even though you know
- 27:22Speaker 1: that ninety percent of their life is bullshit, is the
- 27:26Speaker 1: ten percent that he talks about for the JFK assassination.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Is that legit.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I don't know. We just don't know. We just don't know.
- 27:42Speaker 1: So it is interesting. And in the book he talks
- 27:50Speaker 1: about Oswald passing out leafless in front of the trademark.
- 27:56Speaker 2: He said he was there.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Now, there's pictures of this, and there are pictures that
- 28:03Speaker 1: look a hell of a lot like Thomas Beckham in
- 28:04Speaker 1: nineteen sixty three hiding his face standing in a suit
- 28:09Speaker 1: behind Lee Harvey Oswald. There's sometimes attributed to being Bill Shelley,
- 28:13Speaker 1: which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever why one of Oswald's
- 28:19Speaker 1: future employers at the school book depository would be in
- 28:23Speaker 1: New Orleans, to me, makes more sense that this person
- 28:28Speaker 1: in the photo is Thomas Beckham. He places himself there,
- 28:33Speaker 1: and he says, after they got done handing these leafless out,
- 28:37Speaker 1: they went down to the Walgreens and had a coke
- 28:38Speaker 1: and they talked about some things. Again, the story is
- 28:42Speaker 1: in the book. The story is in the HSCA files
- 28:46Speaker 1: if you would like to check it out.
- 28:47Speaker 2: But these are of.
- 28:51Speaker 1: The most interesting rare books that I own, folks, so
- 28:55Speaker 1: I figured that would be suitable to have them here together.
- 29:04Speaker 1: In this book review. I've done entire shows about just
- 29:08Speaker 1: this book alone in the past, long long ago, in
- 29:13Speaker 1: a galaxy.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Far far away.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Oh but yeah, and if you really really really start
- 29:23Speaker 1: digging into Fred Lee Christmin, you'll come to find very
- 29:32Speaker 1: interesting tentacles extending from the octopus involving There were cont
- 29:40Speaker 1: I don't know how to say their name. They were concutos,
- 29:43Speaker 1: were concutos, Michael were concutos, and his father, I believe
- 29:48Speaker 1: Fredley Christmin even talks about him in this book, Michael's father.
- 29:55Speaker 1: So it's wild if you're really really want to go
- 30:01Speaker 1: down the rabbit hole. And you know, there's books that
- 30:05Speaker 1: have been written about Fred Christman. There's even a comedy
- 30:11Speaker 1: film based on the tales of Fred Christman called The
- 30:15Speaker 1: Cave of the Space Nazis. It's animated, uh and it
- 30:19Speaker 1: and it goes through all the claim many claims of
- 30:22Speaker 1: Fred Christmin.
- 30:24Speaker 2: So if you want to check.
- 30:25Speaker 1: That out, feel free. It's it's pretty wild, pretty pretty wild.
- 30:31Speaker 1: But anyway, folks, that's it for this JFK book review.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Uh.
- 30:38Speaker 1: You know, wow, these might be the most expensive and
- 30:47Speaker 1: rarest books that I own. It doesn't mean they're great,
- 30:52Speaker 1: it doesn't I would. I would give this one based
- 30:57Speaker 1: on the fact that ninety percent of it is probably bullshit. Okay,
- 31:06Speaker 1: like a two out of ten guns up right, and
- 31:13Speaker 1: this one here. You know, I just don't know what
- 31:18Speaker 1: to make of Thomas Beckham when it comes to the
- 31:20Speaker 1: JFK assassination. I know a lot of the other stuff
- 31:26Speaker 1: in his life is bullshit, but is this part bullshit?
- 31:31Speaker 2: I just don't know.
- 31:33Speaker 1: So for that reason, I'm gonna hop on the fence
- 31:39Speaker 1: and let it ride up my crack and give it
- 31:42Speaker 1: a solid five out of ten guns up. And that's
- 31:53Speaker 1: being very generous Thomas Beckham, who's possibly still alive and
- 31:58Speaker 1: out there in Louisville, Kentucky, practicing his quackery medicine, saving
- 32:06Speaker 1: people's lives and all. And that's gonna do it for
- 32:14Speaker 1: JFK book reviews for this week. I am the biggest,
- 32:19Speaker 1: the baddest of the bobs. Thank you for joining us.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Check out these other ones. In the meantime, check out
- 32:26Speaker 1: our podcast that we do every Friday night live stream
