There is a story coming out of Britain about a person described as a woman who stabbed four people.

Except the person wasn't a woman.

It was a biological male who identified as a man.

And I know we're supposed to pretend this is complicated.

We're supposed to carefully navigate the language.

"Well, the person was assigned..."

No.

Stop.

At some point, a civilization has to be able to describe what happened without needing a legal team and a thesaurus.

A man stabbed four people.

There.

Everybody survived.

The English language survived.

Nobody's pronouns were injured in the production of that…
