- 1:41the time really just take a ship on that movie because a lot of the
- 1:45time those movies suck. Yeah. Now not today's thing that we're talking about
- 1:52is uh and our Stephen King book. Before we get into that uh.

- 2:47just know that you'll be you'll you'll definitely get a kick out of it.
- 2:55Gay anyway. So what we're talking about today, So today we are going
- 2:59to be talking about another Stephen King novel, this one this time we are
- 3:04going to be talking about fire Starter. Yay, So fire Starter or carry
- 3:13adjacent terry as well. When you think about it, like the premise is
- 3:19pretty much the same. It centered around a young a young girl with psycho
- 3:23connectic abilities. Except in Firestarter, the young girl in question girl name excuse
- 3:30me, let me get her and my notes up. Sorry I should have
- 3:32that already. The young girls a girl named Charlene Charlie McGee, so a
- 3:39little back. It is centered around this young girl and she does not have
- 3:45teleconnectic abilities like Carry does, but she has hirokonnetic abilities, so she is
- 3:51a literal fire starter. Now, so the story about the story of fires
- 4:03actually beans where Charlie is born. It starts pretty much starts off the story
- 4:13Pretti starts off centered around her father, Andrew McGee or Andy, and his
- 4:20wife Victoria or Vicky. The thing is is that back in the back in
- 4:28the day when both Charlie, both Andy and Victoria were students, were both
- 4:34college students you know, bro college student shit, they both decide to participate
- 4:42in a experiment dealing with a specific kind of hallucinogetic drug similar to LSD called
- 4:49LOTS six. Now. The drug gave Andy and his future wife Vicky minor
- 4:59psycho psychic abilities. With Vicky she gets she gets minor telekinetic abilities, and
- 5:06with him he gets this form of telepathic. This form of telepathy allows him
- 5:15to control other people's minds. More specifically, he's able to like push suggestions
- 5:20into other people's minds. And after college and as he's like as he learns
- 5:27more about his abilities, he actually uses it to help him in his psychologist
- 5:32career because he is a certified psychologist and what he tends to do is use
- 5:38his push ability to help implant suggestions and his patients to help them deal and
- 5:44cope with their own stress and mental illnesses. But it comes with its own
- 5:47drawbacks, because if he pushes too hard, it leaves him with crippling migraine,
- 5:55headaches and even even like minor brain hemorrhages and similar things. With his
- 6:02wife, she can move objects with her mind, but you know, anytime
- 6:08she moves anything too big, she like deals with the same thing splitting headaches,
- 6:14and she feels like she can't move for the rest of the day.
- 6:16But after they get married and they have their daughter, Charlie, they realized
- 6:23very early on that Charlie has inherited their abilities. In fact, she's developed
- 6:28her own ability and it is very powerful power kinnetic abilities. In fact,
- 6:32when Charlie was just a little, just a baby, like a few months
- 6:39old, I guess, like as her hair was growing out, it got
- 6:43into her face and she got a little upset and she accidentally set her own
- 6:46hair on fire. And from that point on until like the present day,
- 6:53believe she was like eight or nine in the events of this In the events
- 6:58of the book, Charlie like we'll have these little accidents where she'll accidentally just
- 7:04set things on fire. If she has a tantrum, she can like set
- 7:09like a whole room on fire. If she like gets fussy or she focuses,
- 7:15you know, she focuses too much on one thing, she will cause
- 7:20things to just spontaneously combust. The thing is is that Charlie, Charlie and
- 7:30her family they've had for a very long time. They've had to basically go
- 7:33on the run and hide from the government agency that experimented on her parents.
- 7:43This agency is called the Shop. Now the Shop they found out that Andy
- 7:49and Victoria had a child, and that child has basically as a result,
- 7:55is she's what they were looking for. The reason why they were experiments on
- 8:00these kids so that way they can develop somebody with powerful psycho connectibilities. And
- 8:05since Charlie is exhibiting those abilities in a very you know, major way,
- 8:09they want her for their own experiments and to develop her into Well doesn't specifically
- 8:16say in the book why they want her, but considering it's the government weapon
- 8:22weapon like they want a weaponizer, so yeah, it goes without saying.
- 8:28So let me see here. So Charlie and Andy they end up going on
- 8:39a run. Because the shop actually catches up with them, they send this
- 8:43assassin after them. This assassin is a he just for some pretext, he
- 8:54is a Cherokee and Vietnam War veteran. He's a Cherokee Native American and a
- 8:58Vietnam War veteran. His name is John Rainburn. They sent Rainbird to track
- 9:07down Charlie and bring her back to the shop for testing, and also Rainburn
- 9:16has been given orders to kill her parents because they are not necessary. But
- 9:22when the shop actually catches up with them, with all three of them,
- 9:26they they hadn't sent Rainburg just yet. They managed to track her down to
- 9:33her home in Ohio. Her they're suburban home in Ohio, but when they
- 9:39tried to take Charlie, it kind of went sideways and they ended up killing
- 9:43her mother. And they do manage to take Charlie while Andy was at work.
- 9:52Andy being having his own psychic abilities, he senses that she's in danger
- 9:58and rushes home to figure out what's going on. That's where he finds his
- 10:03murdered wife and his daughter and realizes his daughter's kidnaps. He then uses his
- 10:07abilities to track her down and he eventually catches up to them on a rest
- 10:13stop, and there he uses his push ability to incapacity the shop agents.
- 10:18He actually the way he does it, he actually blinds one of them and
- 10:22he leaves the other one comatose. So at this point the two of them
- 10:28flee and then again in the life of running and hiding and just basically using
- 10:33fake names and identities, they moved several times to avoid discovery, but eventually
- 10:39the shop catches up with them, and this is where Rainburn comes in.
- 10:43Rainbird comes in and let me see here. So the chase does take them
- 10:58through many plays, including Albany, New York, and at one point h
- 11:05Andy manages to get them plane tickets to fly out to fly out of New
- 11:09York to Vermont where he has a fan where he has a cabin that once
- 11:13belonged to his grandfather, and several times they're nearly caught by the assassin while
- 11:22they're hiding out at that farm. Eventually the shop does catch up with him,
- 11:33and I'm sorry, I'm like losing my train of thought here. Cool.
- 11:39Sorry. When you play when you've been doing nothing all day, like
- 11:43literally nothing, just playing, just mindlessly playing video games, you kind of
- 11:46like kind of like, it's not good. It's not good for your brain
- 11:52because you're just like what am I doing? Brain fart? Brain fart?
- 11:58Nuhu. So Anyway, when the shop catches up to them and his family,
- 12:03Andy's family farm, the ensuing chaos triggers Charlie and she unleashes her pyre
- 12:11connectic abilities and she ends up like burning half of the farm down. Unfortunately,
- 12:20both her and her father are taken in by the shop and they are
- 12:24separated at the shop headquarters in DC And basically like the shop headquarters is disguised
- 12:33as like a I believe it's like disguised as a like psychiatric hospital, so
- 12:43like rehabilitation place. They end up there they are and in prison there for
- 12:50about six months, just a little like kind of like just take a step
- 12:54a pause here to talk about Rainbird. Rainbird is pretty unhinged. He even
- 13:00though he was the one who successfully tracked them down and brought them in,
- 13:03he has this weird obsession with Charlie and he wants, like he really he
- 13:11wants to be friend, but he ultimately wants to kill her because he sees
- 13:15her is like the ultimate I guess, like the ultimate praise since she has
- 13:20her firepower and everything. And I don't know, I think this is a
- 13:26personally since this book was written and published in nineteen eighty. I think it's
- 13:31just just like ignorance on Stephen King's part, not really understanding like culture of
- 13:37Native American culture and things like that, because kind of the way Rainbird has
- 13:41played off is is like this paranoid It's a phrenic Native American dude who's obsessed
- 13:46with the hunt and things like that. And yeah, I didn't really like
- 13:52it honestly, Like it was like Rainbird's obsession was also kind of like borderline
- 13:58pedophilia, but there was nothing things sexual about it. So that's where it's
- 14:03just what his character, Like, what's why is he so obsessed with with
- 14:09Charlie. She's yeah, like I get she's very powerful, but like,
- 14:15what is his obsession with wanting to kill her? Is it just like something
- 14:18to do with like the fact that she he thinks of her as like the
- 14:22ultimate enemy and just wants to kill her, you know, prove that he's
- 14:26stronger in some way. I don't get it, but will While both of
- 14:33them are imprisoned in the same headquarters, they are separated for about six months.
- 14:37During that time, they keep Andy under like heavy sedation to keep him
- 14:43from using his powers, and because of the because of the sedatives that they're
- 14:52using on him, he does also become pretty addicted to it and basically loses
- 14:54his spirit to fight, and the Shop eventually deems him useless, like of
- 15:00no value. However, Charlie, at first she refuses to define. She
- 15:07refuses to cooperate with Shop and doesn't demonstrate her power for them. But you
- 15:16see here, so while she's like resisting them and doesn't want to like use
- 15:24her like full power, because at one point she they do convince her like
- 15:28if she doesn't use her powers, like if she doesn't comply with their tests,
- 15:33they'll just they'll start hurting, they'll hurt her dad, and they'll kill
- 15:39him. So she starts using her power, but she refuses to like let
- 15:43it out fully because for one thing, for her, it's kind of like,
- 15:48uh, you know, it's kind of like bladder control. Really,
- 15:52this is the best way to describe it. But since she's a little girl,
- 15:54she like, you know, when you're a little kid, you know,
- 15:58accidents happen. You don't you don't really have full control over your you
- 16:03know, over your bladder, and sometimes you could either just have like small
- 16:07leaks or you know, full on like piss yourself or like wet the bed.
- 16:12And in Charlie's case, like with since she's still learning to control her
- 16:17firepower, anytime she uses it too much, it'll just eventually just come pouring
- 16:22out of her and she'll just burn everything around her to ground. So she
- 16:26herself doesn't want to use that all that power out all at once, but
- 16:32while they're testing her, while they're testing her, and since the shop has
- 16:36like pretty much forgotten about Charlie, Charlie, I'm sorry, pretty much forgot
- 16:41about Andy. Andy manages to like put pull himself out of his addiction,
- 16:48and he uses his own he uses his own ability to push himself into overcoming
- 16:55his addiction and to like basically start like weaning himself off of it, off
- 17:00of the drugs by secretly like not taking the food or medicine that has the
- 17:07sedative in it, and he eventually manages to break out. Rainbird All,
- 17:14on the other hand, also is there, and he's he pretends to be
- 17:18like it. He's like he disguises himself as a chanitor and befriends Charlie and
- 17:22try and is gaining her trust. Andy, he manages to use his push
- 17:29ability on his psychiatrist to gain crucial to gain some really crucial information. And
- 17:40at one point Andy manages to like he manages to overpush his psychiatrist, which
- 17:49causes him to un alive himself. So his psychiatrist because like when Andy uses
- 17:56his abilities too much on a person to control them, it causes like I
- 18:00guess you could say, like a mental feedback, and this causes them to
- 18:04like become people to become unhinged, begin to act out in strange ways and
- 18:10even hurt themselves. And that's what happened with his psychiatrist, Like he had
- 18:14some pretty uh kinky things that he had repressed and Andy's push and with Andy
- 18:22using his abilities on him, it causes those repressed kinks quote quote unquote kinks
- 18:30to like really comes to the surface, hesp hurting himself to the point of
- 18:33death. And Jesus, yeah, yeah, Andy is able to because of
- 18:40this. It causes a lot of stir at the at the shop, and
- 18:42and he's able to make meet and push the director of the facility and uses
- 18:49him the facility as well as finally communicate with Charlie. Rainbird unfortunately discovers Andy's
- 18:56plan and decides to use it to his advantage. So even though Andy's plants
- 19:00succeed and he and Charlie are reunited and are about to escape, Rainbird is
- 19:07ready for them and he's planning to kill them both during Thanks to the distraction
- 19:12provided by the director, who's losing his mind from the side from a side
- 19:15effect of being pushed, Andy gets attacked by Rainbird, but he manages to
- 19:23use his ability on Rainbird one last time, forcing Rainbird to leap to jump
- 19:30from the upper level of the barn that they were hiding in, and he
- 19:33ends up breaking his own leg, but Rainbird ends up shooting Andy in the
- 19:37neck and basically killing him. And then when he tries to kill Charlie,
- 19:45Charlie, you know, in a fit of rage, she uses her power.
- 19:52She basically unleashes her powerful force and she stops her firepower stops the bullet
- 19:59mid air and it sets both Rainbert and Cap on fire. Her dad because
- 20:04he used his ability too much, he ends up having a stroke and gets
- 20:10it has an aneurysm, which he has an aneurysm which causes a stroke and
- 20:15he does end up dying. After he dies, Charlie she goes on a
- 20:21rampage. She burns down the entire facility, killing like dozens of employees and
- 20:27like basically just recks everything, you know, and nothing they can they do
- 20:36can stop her because there is this is a military facility as well, So
- 20:41even though the military is there and they try to like stop her, she
- 20:44just ends up blowing them up. And she does end up escaping, leaving
- 20:49most people, like almost everybody dead. So but of course, in the
- 20:56very government fashion, the whole event is covered up by the is covered up
- 21:00and released to the media as like a terrorist fire bombing the shop. It
- 21:07quickly reforms on her new leadership and they begin to hunt Charlie again. She
- 21:11returned to She ends up returning to her family farm, and she eventually comes
- 21:18up with a plan to basically expose herself so that way the government can no
- 21:29longer cover it up. So she ends up traveling to New York City and
- 21:33she goes to Rolling Stone Magazine, the Rolling Stone Magazine of all places,
- 21:40and she gives them a demonstration of her power. But at that point that's
- 21:48where the book ends, so it's pretty open ended, So there's no like,
- 21:55It's it's pure Stephen King fashion. A lot of his books end and
- 21:59like with like very like open ended ending with no real with no real resolution,
- 22:04like what happens to Charlie? What is the shop eventually cap catch up
- 22:08with her? Does is the world now aware of what the US government has
- 22:12done, you know, resulting and somebody a very extraordinary person like Charlie existing,
- 22:18you know, and does this actually expose their other wrongdoing like the experiments
- 22:26at that college that resulted in her parents getting powers? You know? So
- 22:30that really is up. It leaves pretty much leaves it up to whoever decides
- 22:36to. I guess like Stephen King does this deliberately because since a lot of
- 22:40his books get published and like it's produced into a movie, I guess he
- 22:45leaves it that way so that way the producers can just come up with their
- 22:48own ending, which they typically do. Yeah. Yeah, So that is
- 22:56pretty much it for the book. It's a very short book, pretty much
- 23:00carry It's only about four hundred and twenty six pages long. And I personally
- 23:07liked this one better than Carrie. M Like Carrie, go listen to me,
- 23:14don't get wrong. Carrie is always going to be a classic, and
- 23:17it's always gonna be iconic, but I like this one better because, like,
- 23:21I feel like we actually know how she got her powers. Like,
- 23:25okay, so it all started when the government started fooling around with LSD and
- 23:30like with an LSD variant which gave her parents psychokinetic abilities, which she ends
- 23:38up inheriting. But the thing is, like, unlike her parents who are
- 23:41very limited because of their own mature physio physiology, she herself is not held
- 23:48back by those limitations, which is why she's very powerful. But you know,
- 23:55it's very synonymous with Carrie because, like, like Carrie, towards the
- 23:59end of the book, she ends up having like she ends up going on
- 24:03a rampage, killing a bunch of people with their powers and all that shit.
- 24:10So like, But unlike Harry, which has been adapted into some pretty
- 24:14decent movies, fire Starters movie adaptations were not all that great. Yeah,
- 24:22like the original Firestarter adaptation. Let me see here, this is actually the
- 24:33very first movie. A movie adaptation of Firestarter was produced in nineteen eighty four,
- 24:38so about four years after the book was published, And actually this was
- 24:45I believe her breakout role. Drew Barry. Yeah, Drew Barrymore played Charlie
- 24:56and David Keith played Andy McGee. And now you have this old you have
- 25:02this pull ensemble of eighties actors and actresses. But I never actually got to
- 25:10watch this version, this original version, just because it's not currently on any
- 25:15streaming services, at least none that I can find. Well, I mean,
- 25:19I don't know. I bet you if I check right now, it'll
- 25:22probably be somewhere well that let me lark, Yeah, fire Starter like eighty
- 25:30four. No, it's not anywhere. It's not on Sday streaming services currently,
- 25:37right, So I can't really, I really can't give my opinion on
- 25:41that movie because since I haven't been able to watch it, Like I'm actually
- 25:45planning on just going to use DVD store and just pick up a cheap copy
- 25:48of it and watch it later. But I have been able to watch The
- 25:55most recent adaptation of fire Starter came out last year in twenty twenty two,
- 26:00and it does have an all decent, all star cast. We have Ryan
- 26:06Kiera Armstrong as our leading lady Charlie, and then of course we have yeah
- 26:12Daddy that we have Daddy zac Efron playing actually playing a daddy. Yeah,
- 26:22that came out weird. I'm never doing that again anyway. So yeah,
- 26:25so Zach, I think this is I think this is actually the first zac
- 26:29Efron's first role playing a mature father figure, because I mean he's had plenty
- 26:33of other roles where he's played like an older brother type character. Yeah,
- 26:38he did Blage, Disaster Artists, The Great Showman. Uh, do you
- 26:47think of anything else? Yeah, he did. That was really you know.
- 26:49Of course, there's also he played he played also Ted Bundy and the
- 26:53extremely wicked chockol ly evil and vile. I didn't know that, but yeah,
- 27:00yeah, it's very of course he played. But yeah, he played
- 27:03other roles and ship he played. Yeah, he played a lot of different
- 27:07roles. So this role was definitely a very it's it's very different from the
- 27:12usual roles he plays because he's always playing that like playboy, bachelor, like
- 27:19ladies man, like lady killer kind of guy. But this one is like,
- 27:26oh the aside, there was that other there was this other movie where
- 27:29he played like an older brother, like a he played as an older brother
- 27:30and his little brother died and shit, and yeah it was very sad.
- 27:36Yeah it was very sad. But like this is I think like this one
- 27:40was definitely, like, you know, it was very different from him,
- 27:44and I honestly liked it. Other than that it wasn't very faithful to the
- 27:51book. It was definitely you know, definitely changed some things, like it
- 27:56started out with the family on the run and then Rainbow Rainbow tracks them down,
- 28:03kills the wife, and chases them across across the country. Personally,
- 28:11I don't think they we actually got that scene where we see her, where
- 28:17we see Charlie just really go all out. Like in the book. There
- 28:21was that scene where they escaped from the shop's headquarters, and this part was
- 28:26like the part that got me like, oh this this is like so dumb.
- 28:30Was when they had captured both Charlie and Andy and the shop was trying
- 28:37to force Charlie to like you know, surrender to them and then Andy in
- 28:42order to like keep them from getting their hands on Charlie. He uses his
- 28:47power on Charlie and compels her and basically just go all out and blow everything
- 28:53up. And I'm just like, oh no, no, no, no,
- 28:57no no. They took away from it, took away like see he
- 29:02deaf in the book, he made that that sacrifice he did sacrifice himself for
- 29:07his daughter, and he did use his power to protect her, but he
- 29:11ends up dying not because he compels her to kill him, but because you
- 29:18know, he overused his powers, which I thought was a lot more heart
- 29:22like heartbreaking because he he ends up his power ends up killing him because of
- 29:33this, you know, because he's trying to protect him protect his daughter.
- 29:37Right. Yeah, So I personally didn't like that. And like she does
- 29:42end up going on a rampage and killing her, like killing everything, but
- 29:45like it just seemed like it was very downplayed and didn't really it didn't really
- 29:51go there. Like it like it doesn't carry, you know, because like
- 29:55I said, this book is very this plot of this book is very similar
- 29:56to Carry, and you know, with You had the you know, the
- 30:02final rampage as I call it, and fire Starter had the same thing,
- 30:06but they kind of really I feel like they really downplayed it in this movie.
- 30:08I don't know, I think I should watch it again because when I
- 30:11watch it the first time, I'm not gonna lie. I kind of just
- 30:14I lost interest in it like halfway through the movie, so I didn't really
- 30:18pay attention to it. Well, it didn't get good very good reviews and
- 30:23no one seems like it, so yeah, so sorry. I mean zach
- 30:29Efron, He's always a good actor. He's a good actor. I love
- 30:32seeing him in movies. This just wasn't his best movie. And I did
- 30:40not really hate it when like a good book is adapted into a shitty movie
- 30:42because like it really like reflects badly on the book two, because it's like
- 30:49what was the was the book so bad they couldn't come up with a good
- 30:52plot, you know, like it didn't have a good plot for a movie.
- 30:56But then again, you have to remember, not every book is going
- 31:00to be adapt movie adaptable, true, true, because I everything translates watching
- 31:06the screen. Yeah, exactly, you know, unless of course you are
- 31:08like, you know, unless of course you do your research and do you
- 31:14know how to like really like translate these books, like personally, like if
- 31:18we go take a step back and talk about Dune for a second, you
- 31:22know that book was definitely not an easy book to translate into a movie,
- 31:27but Villenuive did an excellent job. Yeah, And I honestly can't agree.
- 31:37And I honestly can't wait for part two to come out. It's coming out
- 31:38this year, right in November. Yesterday, so happy. I'm I'm here
- 31:47for that, I'm living for that. But yeah, other than that,
- 31:51this is firestarter by Stephen King. You know, definitely, I would definitely
- 31:55say read the book. You'll I feel like a lot of people will enjoy
- 32:00it more, enjoy the book more. But of course, if you've read
- 32:06Carrie first and then read and then read this, so as most I'm pretty
- 32:09sure most Stephen King fans have, you'll kind of you'll see as I've seen
- 32:15that it's very it's very similar to Carry, Well is it? Well,
- 32:22don't both of them technically? I know Carrie has the shining for sure,
- 32:28but but doesn't Charlie. Supposedly rumor not umor theory has it that Harry has
- 32:37the shine? Yeah, Carry has to shine. Yeah, it's a big
- 32:42goal. That's an ongoing theory. Well, but isn't Charlie part of that
- 32:45theory as well as that she also has the shine? So that is a
- 32:53that's a very like gray area because since Charlie's power, Like, the thing
- 33:00about the shine is that there's no real origin for it. It's just something
- 33:04that you were born with. True, So like you know, no one
- 33:09really knows where David gets David got his shine from, or his need or
- 33:15his knees got it from. I mean they all they all think that the
- 33:19common denominator is their dad, but their dad never exhibited those powers before.
- 33:25No. With the thing with Charlie, is that her powers or the result
- 33:29of like, you know, scientific experimentation. So I can't really say it
- 33:37does factor into that. I mean maybe it could actually be the shine and
- 33:42that that drug just merely like enhanced those powers. I'd look back at that
- 33:49theory. So now for sure it was Carrie as well as obviously the shining,
- 33:54the kid and the shining and then oh god, what's that character's name
- 34:00from the Green Mile? Yeah, the one who can heal? Yeah,
- 34:05I supposedly he has the shrine as well. Yeah, there's a whole like,
- 34:09yeah, there's a lot of theories surrounding all that. I'm pretty sure
- 34:15with with five with Charlie, I just don't think it's it's the actual shine.
- 34:21If it is, then okay, But I had to look back at
- 34:29the theory again. Yeah, I gotta like go through Kerry again and just
- 34:36do more research. But I'm pretty sure a lot of people theorize that her
- 34:40dad is actually the the man in Black. You're kidding? That makes sense.
- 34:49Yeah, it makes sense. Yeah, because like it like her mother,
- 34:54while she doesn't openly admit it, she was like it wasn't like fully
- 35:00touched on, but she basically painted that she was a victim of marital heart
- 35:07our word. Yeah, so like it's possible like her husband was in fact
- 35:17the man in black and he was just using her for his own purposes and
- 35:22shit. But yeah, and Carrie is the result, which is why she
- 35:30has such powerful telekinetic and telepathic abilities. Yeah, that's true. Would explain
- 35:40a lot, would explained why she why her mother was so freaking religious,
- 35:45because I'm sure she wasn't like that before. Oh yeah, well I mean,
- 35:50well I'm sure she was probably that before. But there, I mean,
- 35:52I've always wondered why was she so extreme, Like because that extremism doesn't
- 35:57come out, does it really pop up over night? You're someone puts you
- 36:02that way or something drove you to that be that extreme. Yeah, she
- 36:07that's interesting. Yeah, it could definitely like that extreme that such extremism when
- 36:13it comes to like her religion is definitely I could definitely see that as something
- 36:17like as some form of like trauma response yeah, because like once you know,
- 36:23when you know you experienced like extreme trauma, it really fucks you up
- 36:29in the head. And when that happens, it does like negatively affect your
- 36:36your behavior, your beliefs, and things like that, Like you know,
- 36:39something like that's why let's let's look at you know, not to dish our
- 36:45service member. You know, are men and women who serve in the military.
- 36:47But it's a very like common fact. It's a very like easy subject
- 36:53to touch on because like you see that a lot in servicemen and women,
- 36:59especially when they have been deployed to like you know, overseas and they've seen
- 37:05combat. So like when they're out there, they're in the ship, you
- 37:09know, they see a lot of really bad things. You know, they
- 37:13see they see people dying in the streets. You know, they themselves may
- 37:17or may not have to take a life and or they themselves may have survived
- 37:23very like you know, life threatening situations. And when you experience that that
- 37:30like such extreme levels of trauma, it does severely affect your mentality in your
- 37:35behavior. That's why, like you know, there are several people I know
- 37:37personally who tend to who have very like negative behavior because of their experiences and
- 37:43their own experiences out there. No again. Yeah, I'm not taking a
- 37:47ship. I'm not talking shit about uh. Men are our brothers and sisters
- 37:52in the military, all right, I love you guys to death. All
- 37:55right, It's just that this is just a harsh reality that a lot of
- 38:00you have to face that we that we do see every day. Period.
- 38:07So but yeah, other than that, that was fire starter. Now I
- 38:17know Tiff has been is going to be joining us, is she's going?
- 38:22They are going to be joining us next In our next episode, we're gonna
- 38:27be taking a step back from Stephen King just for a short period of time
- 38:30because they Tiff has been wanting to join us and talk about another books series.
- 38:37So we're gonna be diving into the world of d Indi inspired stories,
- 38:46mainly the Legend of Drifts. Yeah, all right, So next week Tiff
- 38:57will be here with us. What in whether in person or in spirit,
- 39:01I don't care. Well, you know, I got a little bit of
- 39:06you know, witchcraft running my my veins. I'll figure out a way to
- 39:09invoke her or something. She'll be here. They'll be here, God,
- 39:13they'll be here. Either way, They'll be here here, and we will
- 39:16be talking about book one in the Legend of Drists Homeland yep So until then,
- 39:27catch all, next time, all right, peace out.
