SPEAKER_00: Folks, welcome to the Reverse Jackass Podcast.
• 0:02
  SPEAKER_00: I'm Nick.
• 0:03
SPEAKER_00: With me is Evelyn, the Canadian Blade.
• 0:05
SPEAKER_00: Evelyn, say hello to the people.
• 0:07
  SPEAKER_01: Hi, everybody.
• 0:08
SPEAKER_01: So glad to be with you here on this special little quick episode.
• 0:13
SPEAKER_00: If you're listening to this, there's a non-zero chance that you received a postcard in the mail from us.
• 0:18
SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, a postcard?
• 0:20
SPEAKER_00: Like a card sent in the post?
• 0:22
SPEAKER_01: Yes, like it's 1926 all over again.
• 0:25
SPEAKER_01: Those sure were the days.
• 0:26
SPEAKER_01: Hey, so you're probably wondering, what is this podcast?
• 0:29
SPEAKER_01: Well, we just wanted to give you a little heads up so you can decide whether or not you want to put that postcard in your recycling or put it on your fridge along with all your kids' artwork.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_00: This podcast is more than a podcast.
• 0:40
SPEAKER_00: It's a way of life for bad people.
• 0:42
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 0:42
  SPEAKER_01: And Canadians.
• 0:43
SPEAKER_01: So here's what the Reverse Jackass podcast is.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_01: And if you're a victim of our gorilla marketing.
• 0:49
SPEAKER_00: If you're a gorilla of our victim marketing system.
• 0:52
  SPEAKER_00: Victim marketing.
• 0:52
SPEAKER_00: We should we should have that.
• 0:54
  SPEAKER_01: I think that's what happened.
• 0:56
SPEAKER_01: I think that's what happened when we sent 200 postcards out all over all over the United States and Canada.
• 1:01
SPEAKER_01: Nick and I wanted to make sure that you knew about this podcast.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_01: Now we're not trying to sell you anything.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_01: We never will until we decide that we want to.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_01: And up to this point, though, this is all for free.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_01: You're getting this quality podcast between one Canadian and one American for absolutely zero dollars.
• 1:19
  SPEAKER_01: A free podcast.
• 1:20
  SPEAKER_01: We piloted that.
• 1:21
  SPEAKER_01: A free podcast.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_01: That's our invention, and no one will tell us otherwise.
• 1:25
SPEAKER_01: Nick, what can you tell the people that they're in for listening to episodes of the Reverse Jackass podcast?
• 1:30
SPEAKER_00: Well, I'll tell you what I signed on for.
• 1:32
SPEAKER_00: It was peace talks between two countries, formerly allies, that have had some rough times of late.
• 1:38
SPEAKER_00: And I was looking forward to availing myself of some of that fabled Canadian joy and kindness and sort of easy-going homie perspective.
• 1:47
SPEAKER_00: What has ensued has been a hellish nightmarescape, a real look into the psyche of a country filled with well-meaning, but frankly cruel hearted people, and also the United States.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_00: Boy, doesn't that sound fun.
• 2:00
SPEAKER_00: So here you are, you've gotten this postcard of either Canadian or American Providence, and you're saying to yourself, what's the matter with these people?
• 2:08
SPEAKER_00: And what's the matter with me that I'm receiving it?
• 2:10
SPEAKER_01: Or another way of looking at it is what's so special about me that I received it?
• 2:13
SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm here to tell you that it basically is completely random.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_01: If you are a small coffee shop somewhere in Portland, guess what?
• 2:21
  SPEAKER_01: It was random.
• 2:22
SPEAKER_01: We've never heard of you, but we Googled you, and now you have a postcard.
• 2:26
  SPEAKER_01: You are so welcome.
• 2:28
SPEAKER_01: Will we visit you someday?
• 2:29
  SPEAKER_01: Probably not.
• 2:30
SPEAKER_01: But now you have a postcard.
• 2:31
SPEAKER_00: What's the difference between what we did there and doxing?
• 2:34
SPEAKER_01: Well, I think doxing has has ill intent.
• 2:36
SPEAKER_00: Well, you might make the case that subjecting people to our podcast is the illest of intent.
• 2:41
SPEAKER_01: Well, only if they listen to your part of it.
• 2:43
SPEAKER_01: If they clog their ears when you talk and listen when I talk, it's totally fine.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_01: It's actually an act of compassion and kindness.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_00: Join our Patreon for special versions of the episode with all of my stuff cut out.
• 2:54
SPEAKER_01: It's just the reverse podcast because we've gotten rid of 100% of the jackass.
• 2:58
  SPEAKER_00: Oops, all Evelyn.
• 3:00
  SPEAKER_00: Yours was better.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_01: Stick around for a little bit.
• 3:02
SPEAKER_01: Check out a few episodes.
• 3:03
SPEAKER_01: I mean, people can listen in order, sure.
• 3:05
SPEAKER_01: But is there an episode that's special to you that sticks out?
• 3:08
SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, front of mine for me is our 50th episode celebration recently where you and I tested the waters of selling out by writing ads for different Canadian and American concerns to audition for ad money.
• 3:19
SPEAKER_00: Uh, how about you, Evelyn?
• 3:20
SPEAKER_00: What's an episode that stands out to you?
• 3:21
SPEAKER_01: One of my favorite ones would be the episode where we talk about the grossest things we've ever had in our mouths.
• 3:29
SPEAKER_01: Maybe not a favorite, but certainly one that does stand the test of time.
• 3:32
  SPEAKER_01: Certainly.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_01: It's six in one's craw, no pun intended.
• 3:35
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's true.
• 3:36
SPEAKER_01: So, anyway, thank you for accepting your postcard.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_01: Thank you for not reporting us to the authorities.
• 3:42
SPEAKER_01: Thank you for just even listening to this.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_00: And please enjoy the theme song that Nick and I wrote in a moment of It took us less time to write the theme song than it took you to complete the sentence.
• 3:56
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're not wrong.
• 3:57
SPEAKER_00: The theme song just poured out of us.
• 3:59
  SPEAKER_00: That sentence was painful.
• 4:01
  SPEAKER_01: That was painful.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_01: It was painful, it was painful for all of us.
• 4:05
SPEAKER_01: Anyway, we love you even though we don't know you, and we hope that you enjoy the wobbly, imbibed journey of the reverse jackass podcast.
• 4:15
SPEAKER_01: Some neighbors are besties, others quarrel bitterly.
• 4:19
  SPEAKER_01: Stuck together through geography.
• 4:23
SPEAKER_00: One of us has nukes, and the other has tokes.
• 4:27
  SPEAKER_01: It's American Canadian diplomacy.
• 4:32
  SPEAKER_01: It's reverse.
