  entire night and I've been doing actually a surprising amount of

  off tanking this season, which real shout out to my team who

  had to deal with me tanking Lumithar when we learned that I

  don't. I neither know clockwise off the
• 1:20
  top of my head nor my left from my right.

  Oh dear. So we learned to ping.

  World of the World Warcraft has treated me really good.

  We got our Fractalis kill on NA, which was a lot of fun 'cause I

  got to tank that one I was in. We had to have one of our main

  tanks miss a night, so I was in for our original Forge Weaver
• 3:04
  kill and then I had started our Fractalis Prague and because I
• 3:08
  had started the Prague, they left me in for the kill.

  So I've now actually been in tanking for three of the five
• 3:13
  mythic bosses we've killed on Prague, which is nice.
• 3:17
  That's a lot of fun for me. I normally, since last season
• 3:19
  I've been 21st Manning, so it's been, I really enjoy.
• 3:22
  I like 21st Manning, but I really obviously much prefer to
• 3:26
  be in tanking. So that's been a real treat for
• 3:27
  me. 3 out of those 5 and on EU we had an impromptu mythic
• 3:32
  night. Our EU Guild is an AOTC only
• 3:34
  Guild. We have a lot of people that are
• 3:37
  eager to to try mythic and dip their toes in.
• 3:41
  So we had an impromptu raid on Monday that I, I offered the
• 3:45
  21st man for them because I don't want to mythic raid on EUI
• 3:49
  don't think. And but I, I didn't want to help
• 3:53
  them out. So after the 21st man and they
• 3:55
  without like any prep at all. And it wasn't even a raid day
• 3:58
  got down Lexus Sentinel and Soul binder in his injury.

  So Warcraft's been kind of like a happy spot for me.

  And I have two really big guests coming up on weekly no lever.

  So one of them we record live tomorrow and the other one will

  So let's get right into it. The first thing that we do want

  to talk about a little bit, of course, is housing.

  So this is something that they gave us some information about
• 5:51
  at Gamescon with as we've been trying to catch up on that info.

  It has been, it has it been a lot of gathering tidbits from
• 6:02
  various shows and interviews that has happened.
• 6:06
  And we're going to continue trying to bring this all
• 6:08
  together. So Blizzard has posted basically
• 6:11
  collation of the information as well as giving us like our first
• 6:16
  real view of the Horde. What do you what are they
• 6:20
  calling them neighborhoods? I guess I got to say that I do
• 6:23
  like the aesthetic of the Horde neighborhood.
• 6:25
  It has way more green than the barons or other places that they
• 6:33
  like, you know, Duratar that the that the Horde of typically
• 6:37
  being associated with and it actually looks pretty nice.
• 6:39
  So I'm I'm happy about that. I just I just still cannot stand
• 6:44
  or cuts. And unfortunately for me, a
• 6:48
  couple of things have been clarified.
• 6:51
  I guess at one point they had said, hey, we're starting with
• 6:55
  night elf and human for Alliance for the outside exterior.
• 7:00
  And then for the outside exterior of Horde, you have orc
• 7:03
  and blood elf. And it was that you could use
• 7:08
  whichever exterior you liked. But they've since said, no,
• 7:12
  actually you're restricted to whatever faction your
• 7:15
  neighborhood is in. So again, night elf, human, or
• 7:20
  if you're in the foundation point, which is the Alliance
• 7:23
  side, or if you're on the Horde side, blood elf, orc.
• 7:28
  So I expect to see a lot, a lot of blood elf buildings for
• 7:34
  particular neighborhoods. What about you guys have how
• 7:38
  have you been looking at housing 'cause I I have to say that the
• 7:44
  the virtual tour that they provided actually kind of made
• 7:47
  me feel a little bit less enthusiastic.
• 7:51
  Yeah, I so first of all, I personally hate the fact that
• 7:57
  they're blocking which houses like the outside can go to what
• 8:01
  I don't. I mean, like it's not that big
• 8:03
  of a deal. I just think it's silly because
• 8:05
  if it's aesthetic then it like one could also argue that the
• 8:09
  aesthetics of like an orc house versus a blood elf house are not
• 8:12
  going to look very good together either.
• 8:14
  So why not just like if you should.
• 8:15
  My personal vibe is the private neighborhoods.
• 8:18
  You should get an option to choose what lately to to block
• 8:22
  it. Like whoever is is leading the
• 8:23
  the neighborhood should be able to say like this is horde or
• 8:26
  this is alliance or this is night elf only or this is elf
• 8:29
  only. But if that isn't selected, then
• 8:32
  people should be able to choose whatever.
• 8:33
  But yeah, I did the housing tour.
• 8:37
  I simultaneously felt like there was a lot that I was going to
• 8:40
  have to keep an eye on at all times.
• 8:43
  And also not to sound like a broken record, there was a lot
• 8:46
  of repetitive decor. And I was like, oh, we don't
• 8:50
  have enough pieces of unique decor to decorate one housing
• 8:54
  tour. That's fun.
• 8:57
  So I wasn't in love with that. However, the other thing is,

  like a lot of things with Midnight, I just don't feel like
• 9:04
  I have enough information to make a call as to how I feel
• 9:07
  about this yet. I think until I, we have a fair
• 9:10
  amount of information, but it's still very limited in what
• 9:13
  they're sharing. Obviously we haven't, I don't
• 9:15
  believe anyone's PTR in anything, so nobody's gotten
• 9:18
  their hands on this yet. So I, yeah, I, I at this point,
• 9:23
  I kind of, I'm probably going to withhold real opinions until I
• 9:29
  start gathering decorations and I get my hands in my house.

  Because the other thing is, if it's really long and slow to
• 9:36
  grind out any decor, I'm probably going to get bored
• 9:38
  before I make an interesting house, to be like completely
• 9:41
  blunt. And that's my own problem.

  I am easily bored. So I, I'm not in love with it,
• 9:47
  but I really don't feel like I have enough to like, say this is
• 9:52
  broken and terrible and it's not going to be good.

  I think it would be really cool. I think we're really fine.

  To give you some of the info that they had provided,

  obviously people who have been on the games.com floor, they've
• 10:03
  had to play around with this. People who were at the Chicago
• 10:06
  closed event have had a little bit of time to play around with
• 10:09
  this. And I think it is probably a lot
• 10:11
  of it coming from an earlier build.

  The team had said that there will be thousands of different
• 10:18
  items, but when you have of the interior having such a large
• 10:23
  offering, how much of that is Night Elf stuff?
• 10:26
  How much of that is human stuff? How much of that is blood Elf
• 10:29
  versus void elf and so on and so on.
• 10:32
  So there's a question of like if I want to do specifically a
• 10:36
  Night Elf theme, how restricted am I?
• 10:39
  And you're right, there was a lot of repeating the whoever
• 10:42
  made that house has a real big crush on Antonitis, Arch Major
• 10:45
  Antonitis. But at the same time, you didn't
• 10:49
  see some of the stuff that they have shown is coming later.

  Like the pictures for that are coming with Midnight because
• 10:55
  they have those character frames that are there and those weren't
• 10:59
  in the virtual tour. So I do assume that there is
• 11:02
  that this was probably taken from something a lot earlier and
• 11:06
  there is more coming. Sean, what's your thoughts on
• 11:09
  this? I'm profoundly overwhelmed.

  There is a lot here. There's a lot to do.

  There's like being able in the in the demos they've shown, like
• 11:23
  the things you're able to do with resizing and placing of
• 11:26
  items and making these, you know, glorious, beautiful,
• 11:29
  majestic houses that people have made that the deaf team made
• 11:32
  with their tool. It's just a lot.
• 11:36
  And I'm just looking at this picture of there's a shot in
• 11:39
  this article of what looks like a neighborhood and you can see
• 11:42
  like houses around the street looks like a little cul-de-sac.
• 11:45
  And I'm just thinking the logistics of coordinating this
• 11:49
  with a group of people with guildies or with friends or
• 11:52
  being the horror that would be, you know, in an open
• 11:57
  neighborhood where anybody just places their stuff haphazardly.

  Like my brain doesn't like that. My I want to place these houses
• 12:05
  where they should belong and I want to have that control.
• 12:07
  And I obviously don't if I'm playing with my friends and, and
• 12:09
  I shouldn't, I'm not, we're not, we're not bees yet, despite the

  fact that I wish we were. So it just seems like a lot to
• 12:17
  me, a lot of a lot. And when that happens, when my
• 12:22
  brain gets overwhelmed with all of the possibilities and, you
• 12:25
  know, collecting of things and now the endless menus and lists
• 12:28
  of creation for these homes, I then immediately to like as a
• 12:34
  defense mechanism, I narrow in and I'm like, find something you
• 12:38
  don't like so you can ignore this.

  And I've just noticed that all of these brand new houses that
• 12:43
  we've built, the paint on the roofs are all worn off.
• 12:47
  Yeah. And if it's a brand new house
• 12:49
  wire my shingles worn off in paint on both Ford and Alliance.

  The first was like, oh, it's orcs because they hate orcs, and
• 12:56
  that's why they did this to them.
• 12:57
  But then if you look at the Alliance shingles, the paint on
• 12:59
  those is also wearing off. And these are brand new homes.

  So maybe we should stop hiring the Defyus contractors to build
• 13:06
  our stuff. Stormwind.

  They obviously don't do a good job anyway.

  Yeah, it's just I think it's I was, I was never booked like

  when they announced player housing.

  At no point was I ever like, yes, I could finally own a home.

  I own multiple houses. I don't need them in the game.

  That's that's a bit of a joke. There's some lore there.

  And that's true because one thing about people, especially

  gamers right now is they just have a glut of houses.

  Like everyone is sitting around and they're like, one thing that

  I'm so sick of is my the, the number of houses that I own.

  That's that's the. Universal experience that all
• 13:48

  mentioned it, blood elf aesthetics are gorgeous and I

  love them and they look so out of place next to the whole, the

  orc aesthetic that I desperately want to believe isn't

  problematic, but I can't help but feel like it's still a

  little problematic that in this, you know, the year in the year
• 14:25
  of our, our, our world soul 2025, we're still having orcs
• 14:31
  living in mud huts. Surely the goblin stone base,
• 14:37
  like they built under mine. Somebody could have been like
• 14:39
  you guys, just just we have plaster.
• 14:43
  Think about the Iron horde, like orc in itself its its
• 14:47
  architecture has improved like it's just it is such a backwards
• 14:50
  thing. At some point I'm going to have
• 14:52
  an entire episode about how oddly stupid it is that the orcs
• 14:57
  could live on Azeroth for this many years and not have like
• 15:01
  picked up how much things from the cultures that they share
• 15:04
  share space with. But that's a separate thing
• 15:07
  because a lot of stuff and work off is backwards.

  But you're right. You look at stuff where they
• 15:11
  have like the gazebo or the the fountain that is like sorry,
• 15:17
  void elf or blood elf and it's right beside a human building or
• 15:20
  an orc building and it just looks utterly out of place.

  The lands are going to be plots. So what you do with your plot
• 15:30
  will be set up. But I again, I keep looking at
• 15:32
  this and I'm saying all the roofs are the same color.

  Can't I have my roof painted like green or orange or just a
• 15:40
  different color as an easy way of self-expression?

  The exteriors do feel very much like what we had with Garrison's
• 15:51
  where you picked a thing, you put it in the predetermined slot
• 15:55
  and that was the be all, end all of the customization for
• 15:59
  Garrison's. So the real customization, the
• 16:02
  real self-expression is going to have to come from the inside.
• 16:06
  And this is the where the TARDIS building comes into play.

  You walk inside and it is a completely different story.

  You can have multiple floors, you can have sub
• 16:19
  compartmentalized building, you can have a tower that goes up
• 16:23
  into three stories up in your little one story Hut.

  And so, yeah, suspend your disbelief and enjoy this.

  But I think this is where this is where the virtual tour was
• 16:36
  the most damaging for me. Because as you're going through
• 16:39
  this virtual tour, which I believe is still up on the
• 16:42
  launcher for anybody who is like, what what are they talking
• 16:45
  about? Go to the Warcraft launcher.

  You can take the virtual tour in your launcher.

  They, they put that out, but they've got goblin chairs and
• 16:55
  blood elf furnaces and then you go up to the top floor and now
• 16:58
  it's all Night Elf aesthetic. And there's a tower that looks

  like something out of the Kieran tour, complete with two to three
• 17:05
  pictures of again, the arch maid Antonitis.

  And they have a part of the structure that is built from
• 17:13
  multiple parts of the same thing, just sort of fused
• 17:17
  together. And the way it's fused, you can
• 17:19
  sort of see that it's fused. And that is to show that, hey,
• 17:22
  like you could be really creative with this stuff.

  It is. It is cool in that it shows off
• 17:30
  a bunch of different things that are possible with housing, but
• 17:34
  it is also jarring. And I think this is where I
• 17:36
  agree with you, Sean, because it is so cluttered because they're
• 17:39
  throwing everything at you, it sort of takes away from it.

  It almost feels like I wish I could have walked into three
• 17:47
  different houses that had three different aesthetics.

  It's like, wow, these are so different.

  I clearly I can do so many things that are different rather

  than this like Frankenstein together piece of architecture.

  And like I, I, I love architecture.

  I, I like obviously when you do this at home, you can build it

  as you choose. But I think the part that I

  really honed in on when you were talking about it, John, is you

  were talking about like, oh, like this seems like a lot to

  do. And World of Warcraft is not

  slowing down. I don't have time for everything

  that World of Warcraft has to offer now.

  When am I going to have time to initially set this up?

  When am I going to have time to like spend time in here and be

  like, oh, I'm going to set this stuff up When I should be

  delving, I should be rating, I should be doing mythic plus.

  Still doing your check grind? No, I've done with checks, thank

  It's, I think this is where World of Warcraft has decided

  that you cannot do everything. You have to find your horse and

  ride it. If you are going to collect

  mounts, well, then you can't be a real gamer.

  You're going to have to jump in and decide, hey, I'm going to

  build my house. I'm going to like do my pet

  battles. And that means I won't be

  running delves or I won't be doing PvP.

  It's not that you can't be a real gamer, it's just that

  you're probably not a real game. That's true.

  Real gamers don't know they're left and they're right like me.

  But, and I will say this is actually one tier that I really

  kind of wish they'd given us a Season 4 because then we could
• 19:45
  have used like that would have been a perfect time to start
• 19:48
  setting up our houses and we could have done Legion Remix.

  Then like there's so many little things that I feel like we're
• 19:54
  kind of getting shoved in to season 3.
• 19:56
  And I'm like, so usually we have, you know, a few months of
• 20:00
  nothing. Now all of a sudden, I would
• 20:03
  really like a little a few months to figure things out
• 20:05
  before Midnight so I can focus on Midnight's content.

  Content when the expansion goes out and we don't get it.

  Well, that's the beauty Lex. Now you can pre-order midnight,

  unlike multi Al who won our competition and is getting their
• 20:20
  own epic edition. But for the rest of us slubs, we

  can pre-order midnight and then we'll be able to play with the

  housing in a limited pared down version in 11 point 2.7.

  is not a pro season 4 group, but wouldn't this be a great time

  for us to instead of having this come out at 11 point 2.7, this

  comes out at 11.3 and you know we have like a little dinky

  little raid that nobody does. But the point is that this is

  our like, you get devour, you get housing, you can start

  preparing So you have a season so that when you get into
• 21:33
  midnight, everything's good and ready to go and you're feeling
• 21:37
  excited. You're this is pretty, you're
• 21:38
  ready to dive into story, you're ready to dive into gearing,
• 21:41
  you're ready to dive into new features.

  And you don't feel like oh God I was so excited to play player
• 21:46
  housing but now I have to go figure out how to do this stupid
• 21:50
  gathering event thing and Oh no we got to do raid prep and my
• 21:55
  entire gear set is useless because it's a new expansion.

  I don't want season 4. I would.

  I would much rather season 3 be 8 months instead of six months.

  And the last two months of season 3 be Legion remix and and
• 22:10
  housing early access so that the teams that have already cleared
• 22:14
  the raid and are done with it can take those last two months
• 22:16
  off and just enjoy it. And it also gives the added
• 22:18
  benefit and this is something we used to get when we had longer
• 22:21
  final seasons before the season 4 casserole of nonsense began.

  It lets teams that haven't historically gotten CE yet have
• 22:31
  a chance to get their first CE, which feels really good ending
• 22:34
  an expansion with your first CE and then maybe propels you into
• 22:37
  better things in the next expansion.

  But we don't, we don't get that anymore.

  We now we, we get 6 months or 5 1/2 months in the case of Season

  3, which is what we're going to have.

  Folks lock that in and people just have to accept it.

  That's it, that's it. We're shorting it out.

  And because Season 4 doesn't work for guilds that raid

  because they're going to have to raid the new tier because item

  levels go up. And even though it's going into

  an expansion and it doesn't matter, all that's going to get

  reset as you level. Those teams still want to have

  their characters at the best point so that they can get

  through the levelling faster, so they can get the gearing faster

  because that optimization is what's fun for them.

  I'm all for a long season 3. Give me an 8 month season 3, the

  last two months, make it housing and Legion remix.
