- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Hello, incredible humans of Beyond Limits.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: I'm here with another episode that is going to help you live Beyond Limits.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: And this is going to be a nice, fun audio-only episode for you.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: I thought about filming it, but it is so hazy and smoky where I live.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: I think there's wildfires going on.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: There's something that's causing it basically is so dark that at 12 p.m.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: when I was on a call today, I was like, it looks like we're romantically sitting by candlelight.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: It looks like 9 p.m.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: But I wanted to come on here and talk about one of the biggest breakthroughs, biggest realizations I have had in my like five years of doing this work.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: And just to set it up for you, I am also drinking a salted honey cortado, which I don't know if I've mentioned on the podcast before.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: If I have, you're hearing about it again, because salted honey cortados are incredible.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: So I mean a cortado is short.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: A cortado is, I think, four, four or five ounces, probably closer to four.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: I add a little bit of honey into the espresso, and I add a little bit, I mean three grams, and then I add in a sprinkle of salt into the espresso with the honey so that it can kind of dissolve a bit.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: So three grams of honey is not overly sweet, it's just like this little touch, three grams, and then a sprinkle of sea salt, but not any salt.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: I like sel de Provence, which is from France.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: If you've seen the outside, it's like a fleur de sel, it's from Camargue, beautiful.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: And then I like full-fat coconut milk as the milk.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, you can also do almond milk.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: I've had it with almond milk, that's good too.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: I've been really loving full-fat coconut milk in my latte or like cortados, and it's it's delicious.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: So if you're looking for a new beverage to sip, to drink, to enjoy, highly recommend.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: But like I was saying, I want to dive into one of the biggest breakthroughs that I have had in all of the work that I've done.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Because life is always trying to give you more.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: And I feel like this is this was like the the beginning of it all.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: I'm basically gonna paint the picture of I mean, I feel like my life up until this point with this breakthrough, but life is always trying to give you more.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: And that is the fundamental premise that I want you to start running through your brains, running through your nervous system.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: I don't hold back on the podcast, I don't hold back on these episodes.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: To me, they're almost like mini trainings, if you've as if you were in my world.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: That's how I want you to treat this.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: I want you to treat every podcast episode I drop actually like it's a training, because when you treat it something like a course or a program or experience, you'll take it more seriously.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: So life is always trying to give you more.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: When you anchor that into your nervous system, and as a fundamental fact, as a rule of life, that life is always trying to give you more, your perspective and how you respond and how you react or don't react, right?
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Don't get into reactivity fundamentally changes.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Because here's what I know after working with thousands of women over the years, anywhere from, I mean, yes, people starting out in their first like$100,000 to multi-six figures, seven, eight, nine figures, celebrities, industry icons, you know, founders, executives, CEOs, artists, musicians, actors, agencies, nonprofits, I say musicians, I don't know, any industry under the sun, I've worked with someone.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: The biggest limit on how good your life and business becomes is not your strategy.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: It's not even the circumstance.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: Basically, how this happened is I went into the last six months of my life, I have been so head down, devoted, studying people, things, commonalities, patterns, all my clients through all the years, myself.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: And that's how I've discovered this big breakthrough that I'm sharing with you.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: So it's not the strategy, right?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Because if it was a strategy, then anyone who applied that strategy would flourish, but it's not true.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: People apply that strategy and yet it doesn't happen, it doesn't work out.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: It's not them circumstance.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: So it's like, okay, it's a common thing circumstance, but no, people have come from a whole host of different circumstances, some quote-unquote worse circumstances, some better circumstances.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: You know, whether that's past circumstance of how they were raised, past circumstances of how they were brought up, past circumstances of what happened to them, past, even circumstances that are true for their current day to day.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: I'm like, all right, so it's not the circumstance.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: It's like their intelligence.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: That's okay.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: The biggest limit is not their intelligence.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: It's not how much you know, it's not how smart you are.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: It's not how many certifications you have.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: It's not whether you went to school.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, and for me personally, what I do has extremely benefited to my degree in psychology and going to med school and becoming a doctor because it greatly supports what I do now.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: But I don't actually think, I mean, it's gonna be a whole episode.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: I don't actually think necessarily going to university, going to college is required.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: So looking, all right.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: It's not people who are traditionally like intelligent, who, you know, necessarily got straight A's in school or who went to a uh a big college, a university, or like a big name or anything like that.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Like that's not the common thread.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: That's that's not what's limiting people.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you just even zoom out, if I don't even think about myself or my clients, if you look at society, there are 19-year-olds, 20-year-olds, not even like just shaking their hips on TikTok, making millions of dollars.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: So the biggest limit isn't your intelligence and not how smart you are.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: It's also not how good you are at your job, which is unfortunately the frustrating part for some people because you can be very good at your job, very good at what you do, and not make the money you desire to be making, or not have the life you desire to.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: And that's a lot of the work that I do as well.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: Is everyone I work with is extremely brilliant at what they do.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: So now let's have the income back.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: So it's not your strategy, it's not your circumstance, it's not your intelligence, and it's not even your potential.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: I even looked at like, okay, is it the potential?
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: Because I always see the infinite potential in people.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: When I look at people, I look at people in their absolute highest.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: Take a sip of micro Toto.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: Where people see themselves limited, I see them as infinite.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: When these people see themselves as I can't, because of this, this, that, blah, blah, blah.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I just see the potential.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: I'm like, all right, but I see all this potential, but why is the potential not enough?
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: I really started asking myself all these questions.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: Why is even potential not enough?
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: And this is something that I don't know, I don't say the word it infuriates, but maybe like it really activates me.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: It's like I see infinite potential.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I see this potential in this person and that person, every person I talk to.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I see this limitless potential of who they could be and what they could do and what they could become.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: So why is that not the thing?
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: So I thought, I thought, I thought.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: And I feel I discovered, I I found words to the pattern I had been seeing that runs underneath everything else.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: Uh yes, your nervous system runs through everything else, but it's something very specific in your nervous system.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: And I've spoken a lot about over the years how safe your nervous system feels to receive, how safe it feels in this situation.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: If it doesn't feel safe, it won't let it in.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: It only feels safe with what's familiar.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: Yes, but what is beneath that?
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: And it's funny because safety has been the fundamental premise of my entire work.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: The number one thing I have said for years is safety, safety, safety, safety.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: And it's still true.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: It is the fundamental foundation.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: You need safety.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: Why do people not anchor safety?
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: And that is your protection reflex.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: I started seeing this over and over and over again in people.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: And I feel like I had like hundreds of light bulb moments.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: I had one of these eureka moments, like they have an interstellar or like in that so raven, where I pause and my eyes got wide, and I was like, oh my god.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: And all the dots connected to me, and I was like, holy shit, no one's no one's talked about this.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: And what's funny is I have been talking about this indirectly for years.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: I just never quantified it into this reflex.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: I've been talking about protecting yourself for more.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: I've been talking about this ape.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: I've taught, if you go and read my content, it's so funny.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: This has happened to me plenty of times.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: I start making content about something, not realizing the the bigger picture of why I've been pulled to make content about it.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: And then months later, I'm like, oh, I've been talking about this for months, or I've been talking about this for years.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: So this protection reflex, it is the unconscious reflex that activates whenever life begins moving beyond what's familiar.
- 10:19unknown: Right.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: So nervous system wants to stay safe.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: Yes, it will keep you in that set point.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: This is the actual mechanism that kicks in the reflex that brings you back down to your set point.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: And it works in two ways, two very dangerous ways.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: So number one is that it actually stops you from letting life and business get that good in the first place.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: So the first thing it does is actively stop it.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: So it stops it from getting good.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: It stops you from moving beyond it.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: The second thing is that when it does get good, right, when you do let a little bit more money, aliveness, freedom, joy, bliss, opportunity overflow in, it creates a cap.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: It creates a ceiling and tries to bring you back down.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: Similar to, right, if you increased the temperature in your house, and then you opened a window on a winter day, it would bring it back down.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: That's a protection reflex.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: To protect you from actually staying that warm or staying in overflow or staying that good, it opens a window and lets all of it out, lets the heat out, it lets the goodness out.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: And this is where you get thoughts like, well, well, if it doesn't last, is this too good to be true?
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: Or you start scanning for what could go wrong, or how am I going to maintain this?
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: Now, why does this kick in?
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: It doesn't kick in because you don't want more.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: Consciously, you know you want more.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: You know that there's more.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: But your nervous system is mistaking goodness for danger.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: And I've talked about that before, right?
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: It experiences overflow the same as overwhelm.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: Overflow feels like overwhelm to the system.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Good things are dangerous.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: And this protection reflex, without realizing it, unconsciously kicks in and stops life from becoming as beautiful as it could be, or stops it from letting it stay that good and compounding to more.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: So, how do you know if a protection reflex is kicking in for you?
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: How can you identify it?
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: I want to break this down for you so you can be blown away and have these aha moments.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: I feel like I have been in one aha after another with so many clients, with myself, with everything.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's just been, I feel like my whole work has been leading up to this.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: It's also shifted my perspective on the book and what how I'm going to write that and oh, it's everything.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: So then, first thing I want you to, you know, kind of audit.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: Think about like an audit.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: Something in you knows that there's more, but life never seems to get as good as you know it could be, or your experience of it is like you can't feel it.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: That's how you know if it's running.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: This is the first kind of like sign you want to look for.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: You know there's more, but it's like, oh, I can't quite get there.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: It's like it keeps moving, or it happens and it just feels empty.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Like you hit that income goal and it like doesn't feel like you thought it would.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: I've had this, I remember, I think I've shared this story before.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: I remember I thought when I hit 100k subscribers on YouTube that would have made it and it would feel so good.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: And I remember sitting in my W hotel in Montreal, waking up and I'd crossed it and it felt so empty.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: And I've seen the same thing happen with so many different people, whether that's amount of you know, followers, whether that's amount of money, they thought reaching seven figures would feel different.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: They thought heading 100k months would be came different.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: They thought hitting 10 million would be different.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: They thought hitting 100 million would be different, they thought the the validation would be, they just thought all these things would be different.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: And they can't actually experience it.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: So that's a sign, right?
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: And also the sign of when it's here, you feel like it's not going to last.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: It's like this low grade anxiety or pressure in your chest or thoughts in your head, like it's all gonna come crashing down, or it's like a luck or it's a fluke, and you have to then prove that you can maintain it.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: And so you start operating from urgency and pressure.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: It's like this feeling that things are like just out of reach, like the carrot dangling in front of the horse, right?
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Where you always, almost break through.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: It really is that feeling of almost always breaking through.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: It's like you come right up, you almost have your highest mouth, and then you don't.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: You almost, and then you don't.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: You almost and then you don't.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: And what ends up happening is you get exhausted, right?
- 14:49SPEAKER_01: So after time, when the protection reflex has been running for a very, very long time, you start getting exhausted because you're running in circles, because it feels like a groundhog day.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: And this is where you start feeling, I hate this word, but it's true because it feels this way.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: You start feeling blocked.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: So many women come to me, they're like, Liv, I am feeling blocked.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: And I started asking myself, why women are not blocked, they're in resistance.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: I've said that for years.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: You're not blocked, you're in resistance.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: I don't like the word blocked, you're not blocked, you're in resistance.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: But why do they feel so blocked?
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Why are they in resistance?
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: And I feel like I had this moment, you know, your eyes are kind of dirting back and forth.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: You're like, why, why?
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: And that's the Eureka moment.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: The reason you feel blocked, yes, it is because you're in resistance, but why are you resistant?
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: Why are so many people resisting the very thing that they prayed for?
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: Why are so many people living in this, you know, vicious of like I want more, but they're not letting themselves have more, and they won't let themselves receive, and they can't stay in their receiving zone, and they can't open the floodgate tomorrow, and they can't stay open to the floodgate.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: This you're in resistance, you feel blocked because of the protection reflex trying to protect you.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: And it almost drives you crazy.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: This is where you know, and uh oh, like I said, what the the dots that are connecting, I hope you're you're picking up what I'm putting down because this is blows my mind.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: And it almost drives you crazy because you're like, what am I missing?
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: And it makes you feel like, what am I missing?
- 16:29SPEAKER_01: I must be missing something, something's not adding up, the math isn't mathing.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: And it's like you have this feeling in your system, like there's something I'm not seeing.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: What am I not seeing that's stopping me from getting this?
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: What am I missing?
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: There's something I'm not seeing.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: So many women feel this way.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: And then they look at thinking that it is, going back to what I was saying at the beginning of this episode, they think it's a strategy.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: And I hear women say, What do I need to do strategically?
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: What do I need to shift?
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: Do I now need to learn to yap?
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: Do I now need to do content like this?
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: Do I need to switch this?
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: Do I need to refine this?
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: Is it my circumstance?
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: Do I need to have another certification?
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: Do I need to learn more?
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: Do I need to do this?
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: You're not crazy.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: You're not blocked.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: You're not missing anything.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: It's your protection reflex.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: Holy shabang! Holy shaboom! I'm just, I feel like I need I'm gonna pause and have a sip of my cortado because when you realize the depth that I have realized this in the last few months.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: I love that we're just having like I'm having a conversation with you literally, like you were in the coffee shop with me, sipping a cortado because this is one of, like I said, the biggest breakthroughs of my life and that I've made for clients.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: You have just been living with a protection reflex that's been limiting how much your nervous system was willing to allow in.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: And I share this with you partly because when you feel like you're quote unquote blocked, or when you feel like you're missing something, or you know, that there's something outside of you that's stopping it.
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: And you might even know that you're in resistance, but you're like, you you can't put a name to it.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: I'm putting this a name for you, so you can be like, oh, my protection reflex, oh, my protection reflex.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: When you feel like you're blocked, I'm not blocked.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: That's my protection reflex.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: When you feel like you're missing something, you're not missing anything, that's my protection reflex.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: When you feel like there's something in the beyond, something outside of you that's, you know, keeping it, it's not an evil eye, it's not a hex, it's not an algorithm, it's not an economy, it's not a market, it's not whatever you think it is, it's a protection reflex.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: And I feel like there's something so hmm.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: The nervous system loves, does love to label things, right?
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: So being able to identify what is going on for you and labeling it as a protection reflex because that's what it is, your nervous system naturally starts to exhale a bit because then you don't feel crazy.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: I think about this when I used to work with a lot of clients in terms of symptoms and um their health and everything like that.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: Let's say they were suffering right with something and then they fought they got diagnosed with IBS.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, yes, you can cure IBS, but putting a name to it, it's like, oh, okay, that's what's going on.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: Or when people were having stuff going on with their hormones and their cycle, and they get a diagnosis of endometriosis.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: That feels the nervous system, then has something to chew on because it's like, okay, I'm not crazy, I'm not missing something, something is actually going on here.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: And yes, you can also fully heal endo and all your symptoms if you're not aware of it.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: Physical symptoms are just manifestations of emotions not yet processed.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: But you can see, oh, okay, this is what's going on.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: So I immediately want you to let your nervous system exhale because it's like, oh, finally, I have words to put what's been going on.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: And you'll see it because the this is the difference, right?
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: It's the difference between waking up in the morning and feeling stressed, feeling anxious, feeling like, oh my God, I got to do all these things, or feeling like you need to keep up with the day, or uh, catch up in some way, and like your mind is racing, and you wake up and before your feet even hit touch the floor, right?
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: You're smiling, you're excited to live your life.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: That this protection reflex is the difference between you making the money you've always wanted to make, but before you even enjoyed it, you were trying to prove that it wasn't a fluke, right?
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: You were trying to make sure that it lasted, you were trying to figure out what to do to maintain it, versus making the money you've always wanted to make.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: And it becomes the least interesting part about you, the least interesting part of your life.
- 21:07unknown: Right.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: It's the difference between when business is quiet, you feel deflated and you wonder what's wrong.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: And when business is quiet, it doesn't dampen how obsessed you are with your work.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: And because it doesn't dampen how obsessed you are with your work, it starts compounding again, bigger and better, because you're not distracted by that.
- 21:26unknown: Right?
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: It's the difference between having your biggest month ever and then three days later panicking about doing it again, right?
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: And having your biggest month ever, and three days later instead you're still celebrating it.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: It's the difference between posting content, right?
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: And keep checking how it's doing, open your phone, how many people have liked it, have people DM'd, you posted on stories, have people bought yet, did people this, that versus posting content or publishing something and then going and living your life.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: It's the difference between buying something you wanted.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: And then spending the rest of the day replaying that purchase in your head, whether you should have, and buying the thing you wanted and actually enjoying it.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: All right, it's the difference between life being good, right?
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: And things start getting better and better, and then you start reacting to little things.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: I want you to notice how many times you've done this.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: You start reacting to little things, you start picking fights over nothing that has nothing to do with the laundry or the dishes or the house.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: You start creating problems.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: I can't tell you how many clients I've had who start creating problems or chaos or fights or nitpicking or doing that stuff in their relationships.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: Either when life starts getting really good, right?
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: Business picks up and it goes well and it like looks for problems and it creates problems at home, or vice versa, business is stressful, so they start creating more problems at home, more fights.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: That happens, that's the protection reflex.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: You'd be shocked how often this happens.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Is the difference between and I've seen also so many people do this, they hit a new level and they start self-sabotaging, which self-sabotage is just what's going on in the surface.
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: Underneath that's really the protection reflex.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: And they stop doing the things that made them feel their best.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: So they start skipping their workouts.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: They start reaching for sugar.
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: Thinking about a client who her life started getting really good.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: So she started getting a lot more visibility online.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: She had more clients signing up than ever.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: Has a dream wedding she's planning in the south of France.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: And she started self-sabotaging and not eating as healthy, uber eatsing.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: Is it banana something?
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: Cake?
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: What is it?
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know what they're called.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: Banana, not banana cream pie.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: Banana bread pudding?
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: Banana pudding is a, I don't know.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: You get what I mean, that type of thing.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: Eating sugar that then made her feel awful the next day.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: That then made her feel less creative, made her feel puffy and like bloated and like not great in her body.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: Because that's also the protection reflex.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: You start skipping the workouts, eating more sugar, eating foods that don't feel good for your body, drinking more alcohol, staying up late, versus when things start finally falling into place, you don't stop choosing the habits that make you feel your best.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: And this is why you see so many people only be able to do things for a short amount of time.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: They lose weight, but the weight comes back.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: They eat healthy, but they eat healthy for a short amount of time.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: It's all of this.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: It's a protection reflex, right?
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: It's I mean, it's also the difference between how present you are in your life, right?
- 24:47SPEAKER_01: It's the difference between being really present with your kids, like where your mind is there with them, where you're actually there and you're there, but like really your mind is someone else.
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: Whether you're having dinner with people you love, whether you're with your kids, whatever it is, you know that feeling when your mind is somewhere else.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: Versus actually being there.
- 25:08unknown: Right?
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: It's the difference between falling asleep, replaying everything that went wrong, replaying conversations in your head, what you should have done differently, how this isn't good yet, what you gotta do to fix that, and falling asleep thinking, like today was so beautiful.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: And that's what's crazy.
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: The protection reflex is so powerful that when life gets really amazing, it will start looking for what's about to go wrong and it will start creating problems.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: It will literally create income dips.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: It will create problems in your relationship, it will make you eat unhealthy, it'll make you feel off in your body, it'll it'll it won't just do it in one area.
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: It'll do it in money, relationships, health, uh, fitness, how you feel with friends, how you feel with your dog, how you feel with your kids, everything.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: That's what's wild.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: And in all of these scenarios, right, you can see where the protection reflex activates.
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: Because when the protection reflex doesn't activate, you're actually able to keep compounding.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: When the protection reflex doesn't activate, you start multiplying how good life and business gets to be because that reflex doesn't take you out of the game.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: This is where so many people they go up and they go down, they go up and they go down.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: But they're not consistently compounding.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: And that's why the question has never been, is more available?
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: Like I was saying in the beginning of this episode, life is always trying to give you more.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: Always.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: Life was never trying to withhold more from you.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: I want you to answer this in life was never trying to withhold more from you.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: It was that your nervous system had unconsciously learned to protect you from it.
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: It became more focused on what you could lose rather than what you were being invited to receive.
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: Because that's what protection does.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: It keeps your heart safe, but it also keeps it closed.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: And so the magic, the miracles, the overflow begin flowing in when you dismantle this reflex.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: Because when it stops preparing for loss, it finally has the capacity to receive.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: To receive and begin discovering really just how good life gets to be.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: And that you don't actually need years of healing.
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: You don't need, you know, hours of breath work or anything like that.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, what I've been doing with myself and clients is a 30-second process, well, the main one's a 30-second process.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: The other ones are maybe 60 seconds to open your capacity for how good life gets to be.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: This is what we're doing inside of how good.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: It is a 21-day experience to discover how good life and business gets to be when that protection reflex is no longer running the show.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: I'm so excited to dismantle every place you've been unconsciously closing yourself off so you can find out just how good life and business gets to be.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: Like I actually want you to realize you have no idea.
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: You're gonna blow your mind for how good it gets to be.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: I cannot wait to be your mentor for 21 days and beyond if you choose to continue after that space.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: But I really want you to wake up that it gets to be this good now.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: Not when something happens, not when you hit this income level, not when you lose weight, not when you find a relationship, not when you get married, not when you have kids, now, not when you have the car, not when you have the house, not when you have the followers, not when you have the best-selling book, not when you have this, not when insert whatever thing now.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: Now, this month, this summer, this year.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: So we will leave the link for how good down below.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: It is$33.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: No brainer.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: It is only open this summer.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: So after we close it, it won't be open again until 2027.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: So I highly recommend joining during this time.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, you will have to wait.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: And I cannot wait to see how good life and business gets to be for you.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: I love you, and I'll speak to you soon.
