Free Community Chipping to Prevent Wildfires | Eureka News
Wildfire prevention just got easier—free community chipping days are coming to Trinity County! WRTC and TCRCD are teaming up to help homeowners clear brush and reduce fire risk by chipping woody debris. Dates include Hayfork (Sept 1-3), Hyampom (Sept 7), Wildwood & Trinity Pines (Sept 8), Ruth & Mad River (Sept 9), and Kettenpom & Zenia (Sept 10). Sign up by calling WRTC for south of Hayfork Summit or TCRCD for Downriver, North Trinity, or Middle Trinity.
