- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie. It is time for us to
- 0:02Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, and as always, I ask
- 0:06Speaker 1: that you would join along with me in prayer. You know,
- 0:10Speaker 1: it's Memorial Day weekend. I'm thinking about our military personnel.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I'm thinking about our military personnel families, those that gave
- 0:19Speaker 1: the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. But I'm
- 0:22Speaker 1: thinking about the state of our country. Now. Don't let
- 0:25Speaker 1: us pray. Let's pray together, family, Father, in the name
- 0:28Speaker 1: of Jesus Christ. As we pause this Memorial Day weekend,
- 0:32Speaker 1: our hearts turned toward those who have paid the ultimate
- 0:35Speaker 1: price for the freedoms that we so often take for granted. God,
- 0:39Speaker 1: we honor the men and the women of our military
- 0:42Speaker 1: who laid down their lives in service to this country.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We remember their sacrifice with reference and gratitude, and we
- 0:48Speaker 1: pray God comfort and strength for the families they've left behind. Lord,
- 0:52Speaker 1: your word says in John fifteen thirteen, Greater love hath
- 0:56Speaker 1: no man than this, that a man laid down his
- 0:58Speaker 1: life for his friends. These brave souls lived and died
- 1:02Speaker 1: and embodied that truth. God, let their memory inspire us
- 1:06Speaker 1: to live lives worthy of the sacrifice they made walking
- 1:10Speaker 1: in love, service and in unity. God, we lift up
- 1:13Speaker 1: our nation before you, these United States of America. Lord,
- 1:17Speaker 1: in these uncertain times, we ask for healing across our land,
- 1:21Speaker 1: healing from division, healing from violence, from moral confusion, and
- 1:26Speaker 1: from economic turmoil. Let righteousness and justice be restored in
- 1:30Speaker 1: our hearts, in our homes, and in our institutions. God,
- 1:33Speaker 1: we pray for the men and women who are currently
- 1:36Speaker 1: serving in the military, on land, at sea, and in
- 1:40Speaker 1: the air and station far from home. God strengthened them
- 1:44Speaker 1: with courage, Protect them with your hand, Surround them with
- 1:48Speaker 1: your peace. God be with their families, who also bear
- 1:51Speaker 1: the weight of sacrifice. Bless them God with comfort, with provision,
- 1:55Speaker 1: and the assurance that you see and you sustain them. God,
- 1:59Speaker 1: we live up our leaders at the local, state, and
- 2:02Speaker 1: the national levels. God, your word tells us that wisdom
- 2:06Speaker 1: begins with the fear of the Lord. So we pray
- 2:08Speaker 1: that you would raise up godly men and women to
- 2:11Speaker 1: serve in these positions, those that seek your truths and
- 2:15Speaker 1: that will lead with integrity and humility and justice. Let
- 2:19Speaker 1: those in authority turn their hearts toward You, making decisions
- 2:23Speaker 1: that reflect your purpose and the protection of your people. God,
- 2:26Speaker 1: we also pray for our economy and those who are struggling.
- 2:30Speaker 1: God to make ends meet, open doors of opportunity. God,
- 2:34Speaker 1: bless the work of our hands. God, let honest labor
- 2:38Speaker 1: be rewarded, and let greed and corruption be uprooted from
- 2:41Speaker 1: our financial systems. God, in the name of Jesus, let
- 2:45Speaker 1: policies being acted that promote dignity, fairness, and stewardship over
- 2:50Speaker 1: exploitation for every citizen of this land. Lord, awaken to
- 2:55Speaker 1: us our responsibility not only to enjoy freedom, but to
- 2:59Speaker 1: preserve it through prayer, action and compassion. Unite us as
- 3:04Speaker 1: one people under God in true repentance and faith and purpose.
- 3:09Speaker 1: And finally, God, in the name of Jesus, let revival
- 3:13Speaker 1: stir in our land. Turn hearts back to you. Let
- 3:17Speaker 1: your church shine like a light in the darkness. God,
- 3:20Speaker 1: let this memorial Day be more than remembrance. Let it
- 3:24Speaker 1: be a call to live in such a way that
- 3:27Speaker 1: honors the sacrifice is made and glorifies the one who
- 3:30Speaker 1: gives us life, liberty, and hope. In the powerful, mighty,
- 3:35Speaker 1: matchless name of Jesus, we pray, Amen, Amen,
