- 0:08Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear.
- 0:17Speaker 2: When you're a.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Guest to my home, you gotta come to me empty.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And I said, no, guests, your own presences presence enough.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I already had too much stuff, So how did you
- 0:36Speaker 1: dare to surbey me?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Welcome to I said, no gifts. I'm Britchard Wineger. Oh
- 0:57Speaker 3: what a week? A lot of I mean, let's just
- 1:00Speaker 3: talk about my personal life. What are the highlights for me?
- 1:04Speaker 3: I got an ultrasound and I lost twenty dollars in
- 1:07Speaker 3: a slot machine. So those are the two peaks of
- 1:09Speaker 3: the week for me. And I imagine I can't bring
- 1:12Speaker 3: up me getting an ultrasound without clarifying that turns out
- 1:16Speaker 3: everything's fine. My kidneys and bladder are working perfectly. The
- 1:20Speaker 3: doctor used the word perfectly. So there must be something
- 1:23Speaker 3: else wrong with me, But for right now, the target
- 1:26Speaker 3: concern is not a concern. So everybody relaxed about my kidneys.
- 1:32Speaker 3: That I mean, that sums up almost my you know,
- 1:35Speaker 3: at least on a micro level. My week. The ultras
- 1:38Speaker 3: I will say, the ultrasound. If you've never gotten one,
- 1:41Speaker 3: I've gotten one. You've gotten we'll talk about I guess that. Oh,
- 1:45Speaker 3: we'll get to that. Let's just bring in the well.
- 1:48Speaker 3: First of all, I'll just remind you get on the patreon.
- 1:50Speaker 3: We appreciate everybody coming to the patreon, and we're having
- 1:53Speaker 3: the time of our lives. I'm producing too much content
- 1:56Speaker 3: for the patreon, to be honest, it's a bargain. Get
- 1:58Speaker 3: over there, Patreon, Colm Slash. I said, no gifts. Let's
- 2:01Speaker 3: get into it with our guests. I adore her. Everyone
- 2:04Speaker 3: adores her. It's Kate Burland.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Oh my god, long time coming.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Goodness, see, I know, welcome to I said, no gifts.
- 2:10Speaker 3: We've got to talk about ultrasounds.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Vaginal Oh, vaginal vaginal ultrasounds by choice. I have never
- 2:20Speaker 2: been pregnant and starrying to catch up with me. I
- 2:25Speaker 2: want to brag. I once had no ovarian sispers.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Okay, oh is that yeah? And is it painful? Like
- 2:33Speaker 3: before you go to the doctor, like you're like, oh god,
- 2:35Speaker 3: something's happening.
- 2:36Speaker 2: We'll go by the night, throw it from the pain.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I go, hello, next day going and they go yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 2: they wand they go, yep, there you go. I was like, okay,
- 2:47Speaker 2: and that's kind of just fine.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's over. Yeah, how fascinating.
- 2:52Speaker 2: And then let's just say I had another one but ultrasound,
- 2:57Speaker 2: but I've never had over the over over.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Yah, And it was like, I mean, they had kind
- 3:02Speaker 3: of spaw music. They had the weird AI video of
- 3:05Speaker 3: art that every doctor's office now has. It's just kind
- 3:07Speaker 3: of like supposed to be a serene scene, but you
- 3:10Speaker 3: know that it's nowhere you haven't. I mean, it's not
- 3:15Speaker 3: relaxing to look at because you know it's not. It's
- 3:17Speaker 3: like the computer's idea of Sorrento or whatever. But they
- 3:23Speaker 3: did have music playing and the jail they put on
- 3:25Speaker 3: you is very warm, so if you can like ignore
- 3:27Speaker 3: just the underlying dread and the unknown about what could
- 3:30Speaker 3: be wrong with your body. Yeah, it was kind of
- 3:32Speaker 3: a nice exponent. Although they had two different technicians do it,
- 3:36Speaker 3: Like one did it for a while and then one
- 3:38Speaker 3: took over.
- 3:39Speaker 2: I like that.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I don't understand what one could know.
- 3:44Speaker 2: You got, you got someone trying to figure it out
- 3:45Speaker 2: learning on the job.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Wow, that's probably what was happening. Someone was shadowing for
- 3:50Speaker 3: the day. Interesting, Yeah, because the second one did my bladder, yeah,
- 3:55Speaker 3: and asked me if my bladder needed to be emptied.
- 3:58Speaker 3: It didn't, but then she insisted that I empty my bladder,
- 4:01Speaker 3: so they had to go into the bathroom and pee
- 4:02Speaker 3: while they all sat there in the dark.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Oh my god. When I had my ultrasound, similarly, she
- 4:09Speaker 2: was like, well, she's talked down to me. She was like,
- 4:11Speaker 2: you know, it's really important me to go to the
- 4:13Speaker 2: bathroom you completely empty your bladder. And I was like, well,
- 4:15Speaker 2: I thought I had bitch. And that really stuck with me,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and I go, am, I am I cutting out too early?
- 4:22Speaker 3: How I mean, you would have to cut out so
- 4:24Speaker 3: early for that to be noticeable.
- 4:25Speaker 2: But I guess, like, yeah, it's like what there's like
- 4:27Speaker 2: I no, no.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I feel like most people, I'm not.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Save a little for later, that little treat. Yeah. I
- 4:35Speaker 2: don't know, but it haunted me.
- 4:37Speaker 3: That's a really weird thing to say. I know, I
- 4:39Speaker 3: don't understand. I can't imagine going into a especially in
- 4:42Speaker 3: a doctor situation, and not just filling it up or
- 4:46Speaker 3: you know, emptying it out.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I've had I have pea anxiety or like like I've
- 4:51Speaker 2: had to have you know, when you give the sample
- 4:53Speaker 2: the doctor, I'm hanging out by the water cooler me again,
- 4:55Speaker 2: I mean, I take four five minutes.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I had one of those where I had to go
- 4:59Speaker 3: get like the whole situation, my panel's done, and had
- 5:02Speaker 3: just stupidly peed before and then just was kind of
- 5:06Speaker 3: pacing in the bathroom for fifteen minutes and finally was
- 5:09Speaker 3: able to produce enough pede that they were like, well,
- 5:11Speaker 3: we'll take a look, and it was enough. So you
- 5:15Speaker 3: don't need as much peace.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You don't need to fill the cup. And a lot
- 5:17Speaker 2: of there's a lot of confusion about that. You don't
- 5:19Speaker 2: need to fill the cup.
- 5:19Speaker 3: You doesn't need to be overflowing.
- 5:20Speaker 2: It's almost just like, I think you have just.
- 5:22Speaker 3: A couple of little well not drops, but yeah, yeah,
- 5:26Speaker 3: a squirt squirt. So I learned that that was a
- 5:30Speaker 3: good lesson to learn, I suppose. But it's terrifying when
- 5:33Speaker 3: you can do that and you think, well, now what
- 5:34Speaker 3: I have to hang out at the hospital.
- 5:36Speaker 2: For no, no, and you think of them mocking you.
- 5:39Speaker 3: And yeah, they're all having a lot. The other thing
- 5:45Speaker 3: I did this week was gamble, which I haven't done
- 5:48Speaker 3: in at least a decade. And have you ever gambled?
- 5:52Speaker 2: It just doesn't take from me. I don't I don't
- 5:55Speaker 2: really like games. I don't really I don't know I did.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And then this is a brag. Where was I? I
- 6:01Speaker 2: was at some casino once and I truly, but what's
- 6:04Speaker 2: the thing where it's the big roulette?
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:07Speaker 2: And I thought it was. I was like forty five
- 6:08Speaker 2: black or whatever, and it landed on it.
- 6:11Speaker 3: How much did you win?
- 6:11Speaker 2: One hundred and fifty bucks? I thought that's it.
- 6:14Speaker 3: See for me, that would be the beginning of a
- 6:16Speaker 3: grand that would be an electric shocked. Well, I was
- 6:19Speaker 3: kind of like one hundred and fifty dollars for free.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Are you ever tempted to say roulai rulay? I sometimes
- 6:26Speaker 3: I'll see that and just fred, But I think it's roulette.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I don't French never got in for me. I don't know.
- 6:34Speaker 3: How did you take French in high school?
- 6:36Speaker 2: Fanish?
- 6:36Speaker 3: Spanish? Yeah? I took French? What a waste of Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 3: only to be confused about gambling. Yes, performance I'm not
- 6:46Speaker 3: a big gambler either. Jim likes to gamble, but I've
- 6:49Speaker 3: demanded he not gamble since we basically began dating. Yeah,
- 6:53Speaker 3: and we were in Palm Springs and unfortunately we just
- 6:55Speaker 3: had too much time, and he asked very nicely, and
- 6:58Speaker 3: so I thought it through and set down some ground
- 7:01Speaker 3: rools and said I will be in control of every time.
- 7:04Speaker 2: To a gamble hit a max.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Yes, And he said I'm only going to take out
- 7:08Speaker 3: two hundred dollars and I'll give you twenty for slot machines.
- 7:12Speaker 3: And I was like, well, who cares. It'll at least
- 7:14Speaker 3: give me something to do. But then I kind of
- 7:16Speaker 3: learned that I don't really even know how to operate
- 7:18Speaker 3: a slot machine, which feels like it should be pretty easy.
- 7:20Speaker 3: It was this crank, you're not using the crank, there's
- 7:23Speaker 3: all the buttons.
- 7:24Speaker 2: You didn't even get the crank anymore.
- 7:25Speaker 3: I was tempted to, but then I was like, what
- 7:26Speaker 3: if someone sees me try to use the car all
- 7:29Speaker 3: of these pro gamblers around me. So I was up
- 7:33Speaker 3: by two dollars at one point, and then gambled it
- 7:36Speaker 3: all away because well, I gambled nine dollars away because
- 7:39Speaker 3: I again didn't know how to use a slot machine
- 7:41Speaker 3: and gambled too much. There was a woman having the
- 7:44Speaker 3: time of her life. She had a little dog in
- 7:45Speaker 3: a purse, She had her own glass of wine she
- 7:48Speaker 3: was pouring.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, doing it sober is bizarre. Who's sober gambling? Guess
- 7:52Speaker 2: a lot of people. Actually, no, I know, I was
- 7:53Speaker 2: gonna say a lot of people, but who are really addicted?
- 7:55Speaker 3: All right, Yeah, they're just like smoking completely. I mean
- 7:59Speaker 3: you have to be very away because you're up all night.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Well, I gamble. I guess I am addicted to gambling,
- 8:04Speaker 2: because that's what. Of course, the social media is, right,
- 8:07Speaker 2: so you're fresh, and it's like you might get a
- 8:09Speaker 2: cookie or you might not. Yeah, it is exact, it's
- 8:12Speaker 2: the same thing. And then they keep you, they keep
- 8:14Speaker 2: you enticed by every little feeder drop a couple likes.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Oh you got a message?
- 8:19Speaker 3: Make it never start. I'm going to start smoking while
- 8:22Speaker 3: I'm using Instagram.
- 8:23Speaker 2: No, just kind of.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I hate it so much and it's inescapable.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Hell, am on seven day cleanse right now?
- 8:32Speaker 4: Now?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Are you really?
- 8:33Speaker 2: Day's day two?
- 8:34Speaker 3: Wow? What a time to be on a cleanse.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I've done it sometimes where I do like months, like
- 8:38Speaker 2: I go thirty days, right then a sixty day.
- 8:41Speaker 3: How does that feel?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Immediate relief?
- 8:45Speaker 3: I was right on this kick probably in like the
- 8:48Speaker 3: last week of February twenty twenty. It's like I've finally
- 8:51Speaker 3: done it. I've kicked it off. And then we went
- 8:53Speaker 3: into lockdown and said, well, no.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It's over.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll look at this for forty eight hours forever, ikare.
- 9:00Speaker 3: I haven't gone back out of it. And it's the
- 9:02Speaker 3: one thing I don't do is look at it immediately
- 9:04Speaker 3: in the morning anymore.
- 9:05Speaker 2: It's incredible.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I have to have had breakfast and read something that's
- 9:10Speaker 3: not on my phone. Good for you, But how long
- 9:13Speaker 3: you were seven day cleanse? Why did you pick seven?
- 9:16Speaker 2: Just a week? Just classic?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Are you online at all for the next week? Eil?
- 9:23Speaker 2: And I'll let you know. Sure, I'll go on a website,
- 9:26Speaker 2: I guess, but I just.
- 9:27Speaker 3: There are only two of them less, there are not
- 9:29Speaker 3: enough websites left. It's so frustrating for me.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I don't have TikTok okay, I knew if I assigned
- 9:36Speaker 2: up for that's so far. I just should it's over.
- 9:40Speaker 2: So I'm elderly, so I just have Instagram. It's really
- 9:44Speaker 2: embarrassing to be addicted to Instagram.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Oh, it's so embarrassing. It's not even it's like, you know,
- 9:49Speaker 3: it's like Facebook, Yes, essentially like being on Facebook and engaging.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I deleted my Facebook way back when, and then I
- 9:57Speaker 2: went back on because I wanted to do marketplace.
- 9:59Speaker 3: It's the marketplace. It gets you every time.
- 10:01Speaker 2: And I had to do huge things. I had been
- 10:03Speaker 2: off for ten years maybe more, and it was such
- 10:06Speaker 2: a thing to get back in. I finally had to,
- 10:08Speaker 2: like I got back into my account to see the
- 10:11Speaker 2: people that are still it was it was really I
- 10:13Speaker 2: was like, they're still here and it's the same figures,
- 10:16Speaker 2: it's the same strange people and like my wall and
- 10:20Speaker 2: it's like happy birthday for like the last ten years.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Oh no, we're just they go and I have to say,
- 10:26Speaker 2: I was like seeing people go, this person's dead, this
- 10:29Speaker 2: person's married, this person. I mean, it was crazy.
- 10:32Speaker 3: That's like going into a haunted house.
- 10:33Speaker 2: I couldn't believe it.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Did you look at like your most recent message you
- 10:37Speaker 3: or post from a friend, like what was the last
- 10:39Speaker 3: thing somebody?
- 10:40Speaker 2: I didn't. I saw some messages and it was all
- 10:45Speaker 2: just very banal.
- 10:47Speaker 5: There was it just but.
- 10:48Speaker 2: It was a strange thing of like that, and I
- 10:50Speaker 2: should leave Instagram tomorrow of course, never return. And then
- 10:53Speaker 2: you go back on ten years and you go, oh look,
- 10:56Speaker 2: I instead I was living my life for ten years.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Because I go back. I opened the Facebook room. You
- 11:01Speaker 2: guys are still in here. Clanging against the walls, like.
- 11:05Speaker 3: This is my big problem because there are people on
- 11:07Speaker 3: Facebook i'd like to, you know, spy on Yeah, they're
- 11:10Speaker 3: like that's the sort of person. I do want to
- 11:11Speaker 3: see how they're like behaving on the internet. And unfortunately
- 11:14Speaker 3: I'm not on there anymore, and I know that they're
- 11:16Speaker 3: just mutating there.
- 11:18Speaker 2: It's very strange on there. It's like everyone's like it's
- 11:20Speaker 2: like my fishing trip, like my daughter's engaged.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Which is kind of.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Out of touchness.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Yeah, there's I feel like there's probably less careerism on
- 11:29Speaker 3: Facebook definitely.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Well, no, you're not on there to get work.
- 11:32Speaker 3: The only like unless you're trying to sell supplements or
- 11:34Speaker 3: like you're, yeah, whatever's filling your garage at the moment
- 11:37Speaker 3: that MLM type sales. I didn't get back on. I
- 11:41Speaker 3: used my sister's account to get into the marketplace.
- 11:43Speaker 2: It's good.
- 11:44Speaker 3: I was talking to somebody about Marketplace recently and why
- 11:46Speaker 3: it's like overtaking Craigslist and we couldn't come to any conclusion.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Is there I feel like I still will just go
- 11:53Speaker 3: to Craigslist.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Craigslist. I know I used to be really I used
- 11:56Speaker 2: to be on there.
- 11:57Speaker 3: M h.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I haven't in a minute.
- 11:59Speaker 3: It's still the same website used.
- 12:01Speaker 2: To Miss Connections is gone though, so it's been gone
- 12:04Speaker 2: for like probably fifteen years.
- 12:05Speaker 3: What a shame? Why did they get rin away?
- 12:06Speaker 2: Maybe not fifteen years, but a long time.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Do something dangerous happened?
- 12:11Speaker 2: No, I'm sure, but I think it was just like
- 12:13Speaker 2: they're like, this is not a sex website, you know,
- 12:15Speaker 2: or something. I'm sure it was that fascinating. I posted
- 12:18Speaker 2: a misconnection once. Who's an explosive story. I'm premiering it
- 12:23Speaker 2: on the podcast. I don't think I've ever talked about
- 12:25Speaker 2: this on air, and I was here the right to
- 12:28Speaker 2: repeat this on my podcast. I posted a misconnection. I
- 12:33Speaker 2: want to say. I mean, this is fifteen years ago
- 12:38Speaker 2: and I still.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Have that being balked from the website or deleted.
- 12:42Speaker 2: And I was living in New York City at the time,
- 12:44Speaker 2: and I used to constantly look at miss Connections. For
- 12:46Speaker 2: those of you who don't know, it was so sweet.
- 12:48Speaker 2: It'd be like I was on the sixth train uptown
- 12:50Speaker 2: at nine point thirty. You were reading this book. We
- 12:53Speaker 2: were looking at each other. I would love to get
- 12:55Speaker 2: coffee whatever, really cute stuff. And I was in my
- 13:00Speaker 2: permit I was living alone at the time, and I
- 13:02Speaker 2: started to feel dizzy in a way that feared me.
- 13:05Speaker 2: NIL one dial immediately now one and then I'm talking
- 13:10Speaker 2: and they're like hi. I'm like, hi, I feel dizzy,
- 13:14Speaker 2: and they're like, okay, you know, sit down, whatever is
- 13:19Speaker 2: there anyone around? No alone. Immediately as I'm talking to her,
- 13:23Speaker 2: I'm actually okay. I start to rese and by I go,
- 13:25Speaker 2: you know what, I'm okay. She goes, We've already dispatched
- 13:28Speaker 2: paramedics and I don't have to. And then the speed
- 13:32Speaker 2: at which I still understand how they get in. They
- 13:34Speaker 2: have like a universal key, Like how.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Do they get into the building.
- 13:37Speaker 2: I'm not kidding. It felt like moments later I hear
- 13:39Speaker 2: I opened my door. Up the stairwell comes three cakes
- 13:43Speaker 2: and I was like, and I go, sorry, sorry, I
- 13:46Speaker 2: think I'm actually okay. They come in and I was
- 13:49Speaker 2: just like, I mean, I feel weird, but you know
- 13:51Speaker 2: who doesn't, you know? We all feel weird, right, I start,
- 13:54Speaker 2: and they're like, so you keep saying you feel weird,
- 13:55Speaker 2: We're gonna have to take you in. I was like no, please, please, no,
- 13:58Speaker 2: And I was like, I want to do the ambulance
- 14:00Speaker 2: right but seven hundred bucks whatever.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Of course it's very expensive.
- 14:02Speaker 2: So I was like, no, please, just like I'm okay, really,
- 14:05Speaker 2: I'm okay. So they sit with me for a second.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I remember I had a stack of posters of like
- 14:09Speaker 2: postcards for my comedy show at the time. I go,
- 14:11Speaker 2: you guys like comedy, come on down, you know so,
- 14:14Speaker 2: And of course one of the paramedics was cute.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Okay, okay, and I'm sure there was.
- 14:19Speaker 2: No connection, and then so they leave. I posted a
- 14:22Speaker 2: misconnection for the paramedic any response, of course not, I
- 14:27Speaker 2: don't think. I think the energy was in one direction.
- 14:29Speaker 3: And then but you probably felt it because the paramedic
- 14:31Speaker 3: is supposed to care. Of course, they're supposed to give
- 14:34Speaker 3: this feeling of safety, and you're going to be okay, yeah,
- 14:38Speaker 3: who can resist that?
- 14:39Speaker 2: And I'll never forget because I you know, felt woozy afterwards.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I remember I walked a few blocks to a restaurant,
- 14:45Speaker 2: got a veggie burger, felt all better. I was hungry.
- 14:47Speaker 3: You were your blood. That's why you were so cranky
- 14:51Speaker 3: with the paramedic.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Exactly, I'm onry.
- 14:54Speaker 3: What what's a paramedics uniform? I'm trying to picture that.
- 14:57Speaker 3: It's not like scrubs. Is it a jumpsuit?
- 15:00Speaker 2: Was it a fireman? Yeah, it's just like pants. I
- 15:02Speaker 2: don't know.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, maybe it's like a dark pant and a
- 15:05Speaker 3: T shirt. Right right, that's a good look for I
- 15:07Speaker 3: mean that's just a good street wear. Yeah, absolutely, Wow,
- 15:11Speaker 3: and no response. I wonder where he is now? Is
- 15:15Speaker 3: an ambulance? Right? Seven hundred dollars? Is that what we think?
- 15:18Speaker 2: I don't know. It fluctuates with inflation. I think at
- 15:21Speaker 2: the time the number seven hundred was burned to.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Me right on at least would you look into that
- 15:25Speaker 3: because I actually, I mean present day, how much is
- 15:27Speaker 3: that novelty? Seven hundred dollars? I mean unless to find
- 15:31Speaker 3: out seven hundred dollars, I could get the community to
- 15:36Speaker 3: reach out and like pitching for.
- 15:37Speaker 5: Me to ride in an right now in New York City,
- 15:40Speaker 5: it's nine hundred.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Dollars one hundred. I mean, that's not that much inflation wise.
- 15:44Speaker 3: That's estate that's been pretty steady. You know. You look
- 15:47Speaker 3: at a price of eggs, that's.
- 15:48Speaker 2: So crazy, throwing carton of eggs and we're talking, Wow.
- 15:53Speaker 3: That's wild. Yeah, I did you did you ever see
- 15:56Speaker 3: anything that felt like it might be a misconnection pointing
- 15:59Speaker 3: to you.
- 15:59Speaker 2: No, no, next question. I don't think so.
- 16:05Speaker 3: I feel like that. That's got to happen pretty often though.
- 16:07Speaker 3: People are like, well, this could be me, and then
- 16:10Speaker 3: they're reaching out to the person.
- 16:11Speaker 2: And bothering that it's not me. Yeah it wasn't you.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Have you ever been in an ambulance? No? No, no,
- 16:18Speaker 3: I never question.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Yeah, where's what?
- 16:22Speaker 3: My god? This is all?
- 16:26Speaker 2: Okay, does this take what?
- 16:28Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:28Speaker 1: That's what.
- 16:29Speaker 2: That's what. That's what. That's what knocked on it, particleboard,
- 16:31Speaker 2: that's what.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Okay, then we're fine. We're absolutely fine. Are you superstitious
- 16:38Speaker 3: like that? Are you really?
- 16:39Speaker 1: I am?
- 16:40Speaker 3: That's the one thing I do.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I knock wood and spilled salt.
- 16:43Speaker 3: I'll go, I'll do that, you will. What are you
- 16:45Speaker 3: supposed to do that for?
- 16:47Speaker 1: Uh?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Just like being cursed.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I guess somebody curses you when you throw.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Oh, if you spill salt, then you have to throw
- 16:54Speaker 2: it over your left is either left or right shoulder?
- 16:56Speaker 2: I do both because I never checked.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I didn't know this.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Ye.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Actually it's weird you bring it up because today a
- 17:02Speaker 2: little salt like I lost control of the shaker a
- 17:04Speaker 2: little bit. Someone on my hand I go, does that count?
- 17:06Speaker 3: And I just kind of yeah, wow, I don't know
- 17:11Speaker 3: that I've ever spilt salt. Salt is a thing you're like,
- 17:15Speaker 3: you're supposed to constantly. Yes, the point of the entire
- 17:18Speaker 3: shaker interesting. Well, I'm not going to start now. I'll
- 17:21Speaker 3: just keep knocking on wood.
- 17:23Speaker 2: And yeah, you're fine at this point.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Whatever. What else has been going on in your life?
- 17:26Speaker 1: Oh?
- 17:27Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 17:28Speaker 3: Well?
- 17:29Speaker 2: I saw a ghost?
- 17:30Speaker 3: You saw a ghost kind of where?
- 17:33Speaker 2: Well, here's what I'll tell you. I had a ghost.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I was staying in Bend, Oregon.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Okay, spooky.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Apparently, but I was there for two nights. I had
- 17:44Speaker 2: a show and I went to this place. I was like,
- 17:47Speaker 2: I'm not a ghost person.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I'm not that people know what is until they've seen
- 17:51Speaker 3: and I'm very like.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I don't want to see them. But I went in,
- 17:54Speaker 2: went to this room. The point is fell asleep, mill
- 17:57Speaker 2: of the night, eyes open, like, oh no, I woke
- 18:00Speaker 2: myself up. Listen what I'm gonna try to say. It
- 18:02Speaker 2: was weird, creepy stuff. I'd never get nightmares, rolling nightmares,
- 18:06Speaker 2: lights going on, really fucking weird stuff. And I was scared,
- 18:10Speaker 2: like waking up, which is I travel alone constantly. I'm
- 18:12Speaker 2: not like afraid. In the night, I was awake, like
- 18:15Speaker 2: arms crossed, like like really freaking out mood rooms okay,
- 18:20Speaker 2: next day scared, I'm sorry to say this word and
- 18:22Speaker 2: the energy scared like I was like, I'm scared in
- 18:25Speaker 2: this room, like this is off. I'm gonna just cut
- 18:29Speaker 2: forward and say found out today found Google reviews people
- 18:32Speaker 2: saying this place is haunted.
- 18:35Speaker 3: When you spoke to the hotel staff, did you say
- 18:37Speaker 3: I think my room is haunted or did you just
- 18:38Speaker 3: say the So I was.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Too scared to say it there because I had another
- 18:41Speaker 2: night left right and I changed my flight to like
- 18:43Speaker 2: seven am. I wanted to get out of there. I
- 18:45Speaker 2: was like, I don't want to go the whole place.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I was like, this is like a bad place. I
- 18:48Speaker 2: don't like the energy. Again, the hotel was well run.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Everyone was sweet, but so I eventually, then when I
- 18:55Speaker 2: got back, I called the hotel and I was like,
- 18:58Speaker 2: this is really funny, but has anyone ever talked about
- 19:01Speaker 2: like being haunted? And the guy I spoke to was
- 19:03Speaker 2: like sweet, young guy. He's like, I've actually only been
- 19:07Speaker 2: here three months, so I was like, oh, But then
- 19:09Speaker 2: he talked to him and he goes, well, when I
- 19:11Speaker 2: got my first tour, they did tell me like, oh,
- 19:13Speaker 2: this is an area of the hotel where people kind
- 19:15Speaker 2: of war report stuff. I was like, what so yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 2: And then since then I've seen a Google review that
- 19:23Speaker 2: said do not stay here haunted. Okay, and then another
- 19:26Speaker 2: person who said my partner woke up in the middle
- 19:28Speaker 2: of the night screaming help and then walked to like
- 19:31Speaker 2: a window and was.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Like, is there any theory about where the like the
- 19:36Speaker 3: spirit came from, like a murdered woman or.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I of course did auditions. I saw a couple and
- 19:42Speaker 2: I'm not going to get into it here. It's something
- 19:44Speaker 2: that I'm working on privately. But I'm not a ghost person.
- 19:46Speaker 2: And I said, don't I don't want to see you ooh,
- 19:49Speaker 2: And I said that lag, I know I'm not open.
- 19:52Speaker 3: See this is where I you and I differ. Yeah,
- 19:55Speaker 3: I would, I mean, I feel you want to. I
- 19:57Speaker 3: would be so thrilled. It would be some proof of
- 19:59Speaker 3: suf thing to me.
- 20:00Speaker 2: It's just I don't know. I feel scared to see
- 20:04Speaker 2: the conjuring thoughts. Do I want to see the conjuring
- 20:07Speaker 2: post this?
- 20:08Speaker 3: Because I have have you seen any of The Conjuring.
- 20:11Speaker 2: How many other like five of them at least six
- 20:13Speaker 2: really Lily Taylor.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Patrick Wilson and Vera.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Oh she's very ghosts.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Yeah, they're very you know what I want to see,
- 20:22Speaker 3: thank you.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I want to rewatch The Others starring Nicole Kidman.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I love The Others. That's one of the all time
- 20:27Speaker 3: ghosts movies. Yeah, it's like I don't really a horror movie. Yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 3: in theater theaters in New York. I want to say
- 20:33Speaker 3: that was a big one where they you know, like
- 20:35Speaker 3: the ad campaign spoiled the whole thing. They were like
- 20:38Speaker 3: and the twist endings just like, just let me find
- 20:40Speaker 3: out that something turns.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Those were the olden days when trailers were four minutes
- 20:43Speaker 2: long and they just showed you the whole movie.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I appreciate it. No, I love the Others. I
- 20:50Speaker 3: love the Haunting of hill House or it's just the haunting.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Have you ever seen that? The night? I think it's
- 20:55Speaker 3: like a I think sixteen to three. It is terrifying.
- 20:58Speaker 3: That's scary, It's genuine. Yeah, it's really just like scared me.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Of course, I think that probably stood in with ghost
- 21:04Speaker 3: stuff and I'm when a child actor is good in
- 21:07Speaker 3: a movie. I feel especially scared because I feel like
- 21:09Speaker 3: that's a you feel the vulnerability or something that.
- 21:12Speaker 2: They're too close to the spirit world already. Yes, the
- 21:15Speaker 2: child act already like of the another world, and they're
- 21:20Speaker 2: like child actors to me? Are they prove that reincarnation
- 21:24Speaker 2: is real? And like that's some like fifty five year
- 21:28Speaker 2: old actor who's now twelve, and it's like, here's my
- 21:31Speaker 2: big shot.
- 21:32Speaker 3: That is the dancing of yeah, Shirley.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Temple like or just any of these kids, any of
- 21:38Speaker 2: these kids on and if you if you work in
- 21:40Speaker 2: sorry to say it, Hollywook, you know, every now and
- 21:43Speaker 2: then you see one of these kid actors. Yeah, oh
- 21:44Speaker 2: thanks man, Yeah, I'm good. It's like you aren't twelve,
- 21:49Speaker 2: you're fifty two.
- 21:51Speaker 3: When you feel the trained networking, like the parents like
- 21:55Speaker 3: hammering that into the kid, that's the world.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Jacqueline Novac, this is her idea, so I can't steal it,
- 22:01Speaker 2: but she said children should not be allowed in movies.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Adults should play children.
- 22:07Speaker 3: That's a great idea, and I've hurt somebody else that
- 22:09Speaker 3: I unfortunately can't credit them. They said, that's the one
- 22:11Speaker 3: use of AI that makes.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Sense, right, right, right, get the kids up.
- 22:14Speaker 3: All children in movies should be AI.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Why not you're taking your kids to moviesit what strong?
- 22:20Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 22:21Speaker 2: It's so crazy.
- 22:22Speaker 3: It's like we've just seen case after case after case.
- 22:26Speaker 3: It's like you think you're gonna be one that your
- 22:28Speaker 3: child escapes. How horrible it is?
- 22:30Speaker 2: Only I was Mary Kate Ashley Olson. They are, they
- 22:34Speaker 2: are the exception. But they went on, they went through it,
- 22:37Speaker 2: and now they have the row and they've done an
- 22:39Speaker 2: incredible job. And they have and they've they snuck out
- 22:42Speaker 2: of the public eye. They have secret in private lives.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Everyone else dead or near death.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty much hanging by a thread. It's such a
- 22:52Speaker 3: small pool where it's like, oh, now they're just an
- 22:54Speaker 3: adult and they can live there, and they have to.
- 22:57Speaker 3: I feel like their child acting career really has to
- 22:59Speaker 3: fizzle out pretty quickly in order for them to be like, yeah,
- 23:02Speaker 3: then they like end up in a real middle school
- 23:04Speaker 3: or what have you, rather than learning in some unit
- 23:08Speaker 3: on set.
- 23:09Speaker 2: From hearing Kulkan another success story.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Oh, he's a fantastic success story. It's really rare, and
- 23:14Speaker 3: I'm sure he went through it. Sure well. Actually he
- 23:17Speaker 3: kind of just had a lot of tasteful choices the entire.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Time well managed.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Well, that's a family that knows they had a they
- 23:24Speaker 3: had another child that went through it.
- 23:26Speaker 2: They probably said, let's strategize on this one.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Yeah, let's take our So instead he wins the race.
- 23:33Speaker 3: He came out on top. He absolutely came out on top. Well,
- 23:37Speaker 3: I feel like there's something else we should talk about.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Let's see, it's something I don't want to talk about.
- 23:45Speaker 3: I was excited to have you here on.
- 23:46Speaker 2: The podcast today, Kate, Yeah, until I.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Thought cable come by. We'll have an absolutely fantastic conversation.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Nothing will go wrong, Yeah, and then we'll move on
- 23:56Speaker 3: with our days. Yes, things are hard enough already. Yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 3: so you know the podcast is called I said no gifts,
- 24:03Speaker 3: and so I was a little surprised when you kind
- 24:06Speaker 3: of forced your way in here holding what I assume
- 24:10Speaker 3: is I haven't seen you in a while. That's true.
- 24:12Speaker 2: So I felt like it was only appropriate after so
- 24:15Speaker 2: much time.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Right, it's right, Okay, Well that's that's a nice way
- 24:19Speaker 3: of going this. Yeah, and it's not too big, and
- 24:21Speaker 3: it's in kind of a velvety looking bag. How can
- 24:24Speaker 3: I resist? Should I open it? Here? On the podcast?
- 24:28Speaker 2: I mean, why not, why not let me just a
- 24:31Speaker 2: little something, just a little something.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Oh, this is a material that is hard for me.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Yeah, what is cheap? It's a cheap material. It's poor
- 24:46Speaker 2: man's velvet. Yeah, it's a I would have an emergency.
- 24:50Speaker 3: What do you is that velveteen?
- 24:52Speaker 2: Is that it's below velveteen?
- 24:54Speaker 3: Is velveteen? Cheaper velvet?
- 24:56Speaker 2: I think it goes velvet velveteen? And then whatever that is?
- 25:01Speaker 3: Okay, well I'm going to open it here. Well that
- 25:05Speaker 3: sounds nice. Okay, we're pulling it. Oh my god, what
- 25:11Speaker 3: I mean? I'm actually not entirely sure if this is
- 25:14Speaker 3: real fish or like a gag tin fish.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Another element of this which is kind of crazy. Doesn't
- 25:22Speaker 2: it look like one's missing? It hasn't been opened? Yeah,
- 25:24Speaker 2: looks so no, no, no, here's what So I get this.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I go wait, and I said to my partner, I go,
- 25:31Speaker 2: did you take a chocolate?
- 25:33Speaker 1: They go no?
- 25:34Speaker 2: And then I know it's completely sealed. It's never been opened.
- 25:36Speaker 2: So this is just poorly or I think something happened.
- 25:40Speaker 2: This is limited a ghostly removal of a sardine.
- 25:43Speaker 3: I don't want to get off this topic too. I
- 25:45Speaker 3: want to come back to this, but this reminds me
- 25:47Speaker 3: of a time you were in Ireland in a hotel. I.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Oh, you're right, yeah, I've had a couple encounters happened.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Then can we do you mind talking about that?
- 25:57Speaker 2: Because I want to remember No, I want to remember
- 25:59Speaker 2: this and these This is the golden age of Twitter
- 26:02Speaker 2: where it was you Mega name and Rob Delane and
- 26:06Speaker 2: you three were smoking cigars and everyone was please retweet?
- 26:10Speaker 2: Can I please get a follow?
- 26:12Speaker 3: Friday?
- 26:13Speaker 2: You guys were the I remember I was working. I
- 26:18Speaker 2: was an assistant. I was working for this woman. I
- 26:22Speaker 2: was her assistant. I was mad at my job. I
- 26:25Speaker 2: had to do like I was like talking to her account.
- 26:27Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I had to do like Xcel
- 26:29Speaker 2: like quick books. No, no, no no, and I would
- 26:31Speaker 2: get and then she stared I didn't know what I
- 26:35Speaker 2: was doing with like the tax stuff. I was like,
- 26:37Speaker 2: and then the account it was like, what's you like?
- 26:39Speaker 2: They uncovered that I had no idea what. I was
- 26:42Speaker 2: just entirely on them, but I completely but at that job,
- 26:45Speaker 2: I would be like on Twitter. And I remember once
- 26:48Speaker 2: Rob Delaney retweeted me and I was at work and
- 26:51Speaker 2: I was like, it was like it was all about Yeah,
- 26:55Speaker 2: I was like, here we go. I was in duble
- 27:00Speaker 2: Lynn doing a comedy festival, okay, and oh my god,
- 27:05Speaker 2: what was it? Okay? So it was that I left
- 27:08Speaker 2: my room to like go do something, and I came
- 27:11Speaker 2: back and there was a pair of red.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Underwear, oh men or women's underwear was.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Women's okay, either on the bed somewhere where I was like,
- 27:28Speaker 2: what the fuck is like it was like I had
- 27:32Speaker 2: been there for and I remember it was a thing
- 27:34Speaker 2: because if I'm saying in a hotel for a few days,
- 27:36Speaker 2: I don't get like the room turned over. It's like
- 27:38Speaker 2: kind of rare that I will do that unless I'm
- 27:41Speaker 2: saying somewhere really high end and I want to, you know,
- 27:43Speaker 2: I have to give all the whole experience. But if
- 27:45Speaker 2: it's just kind of a hotel, I'm like, I don't
- 27:46Speaker 2: need my bed, she's changed your towels. I'm here for
- 27:48Speaker 2: two nights, three nights whatever. So I knew no one
- 27:51Speaker 2: had been in there, but there was this really ostentatious
- 27:55Speaker 2: pair of red underwear, maybe hanging on the back of
- 27:58Speaker 2: the door something where I was like, and it scared
- 28:01Speaker 2: me because I was like, someone was in here.
- 28:03Speaker 3: It feels like such an invent.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I feel like there was another detail that I'm forgetting
- 28:06Speaker 2: because this was ten years ago. Everything I'm saying is
- 28:08Speaker 2: ten Sorry.
- 28:09Speaker 3: To ask you to just recall this, but like, no,
- 28:11Speaker 3: for whatever reason, a missing fish made me think of something,
- 28:14Speaker 3: and I.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Called the front desk. I think, I I you know what,
- 28:17Speaker 2: I bet where this is saved somewhere. I believe I
- 28:19Speaker 2: was chronicling it on Instagram Stories when stories had just launched.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Oh my god, and I mean speaking of people reigning
- 28:24Speaker 3: supreme your early days of Instagram Stories for unlike anything,
- 28:29Speaker 3: they should have shut it down after that, you know.
- 28:31Speaker 2: So I was like, I gotta get back to story.
- 28:32Speaker 2: I gotta go. I gotta start having fun with Instagram again,
- 28:34Speaker 2: getting back into those stories. Wow.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Well, I'm sorry to bring up the memory, but I yeah,
- 28:42Speaker 3: that just there was this flash in my mind of
- 28:44Speaker 3: a haunted Irish hotel room.
- 28:46Speaker 2: You know, I've had some strange things that happened.
- 28:49Speaker 3: It's weird to walk into a whole hotel room and
- 28:51Speaker 3: something's changed like that you've already been in, because it
- 28:53Speaker 3: feels like, oh, I've almost walked into another dimension. This
- 28:55Speaker 3: is the same space, but just slightly altered. A real like, yeah,
- 29:01Speaker 3: one of those picture things. Which thing is different?
- 29:04Speaker 2: Do you think this is weird?
- 29:05Speaker 3: Really quick?
- 29:06Speaker 2: At the recent haunting that I had the hotel, I
- 29:09Speaker 2: switched rooms right. I went into the second room and
- 29:13Speaker 2: it was in a different building, different part of the building.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I go, okay, I'm safe. This is different, same room,
- 29:17Speaker 2: but like inverted, you know, like I was in there
- 29:22Speaker 2: and I had spent like hours resting. I'll call it
- 29:26Speaker 2: in bed and I leave, I come back. No one's
- 29:31Speaker 2: been in there. The digital clock next to the bed
- 29:34Speaker 2: was blinking three forty four. It was like ten o'clock
- 29:37Speaker 2: at night blinking three forty four am, blinking, blinking, And
- 29:40Speaker 2: I go, I would have seen that if the clock
- 29:43Speaker 2: had been doing that, is that scary.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Power go out or something that is? That's just not
- 29:48Speaker 3: a thing that you know, after already having a haunting experience.
- 29:53Speaker 2: At three am, that's when I woke up. It's like
- 29:55Speaker 2: a cartoon.
- 29:55Speaker 3: I was going to say, if that's when you.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Woke up right before three am, I was like, woke
- 30:01Speaker 2: up the whole thing. The light's going off. I go, no, no, no, no,
- 30:03Speaker 2: no no no, it was three am, just before three am.
- 30:06Speaker 3: There's something you should get in touch with these other
- 30:08Speaker 3: people who feel like they've been haunted.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Well, I actually went to the Google review today and
- 30:12Speaker 2: I try and I want to reach out to him
- 30:14Speaker 2: and go what happened?
- 30:14Speaker 3: Right, you should start putting the pieces together. He might
- 30:17Speaker 3: have another details.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I could have a whole set of podcast here.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I can have ah, this is a mini series. This
- 30:23Speaker 3: is a limited series for podcasts. I just woke up
- 30:25Speaker 3: screaming because I had a Charlie horse. You had that
- 30:28Speaker 3: and were of course there's no I mean, I'm.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Sure, Oh it's terrible. Was your foot doing the thing
- 30:33Speaker 2: where it's.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Like, yeah, of course and there's no undoing it?
- 30:37Speaker 2: Read just scream screaming.
- 30:41Speaker 3: It's so crazy, horrible for you. Anyway, let's get back
- 30:44Speaker 3: to these fish. I'm very curious about this entire situation.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Well, wanting it back and silly Okay. Price tag by
- 30:51Speaker 2: the way, thirty two dollars.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Thirty two dollars.
- 30:53Speaker 2: That's pretty fucking expensive.
- 30:55Speaker 3: That's a that's that's in the top ten of this podcast.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Probably thirty two dollars.
- 31:00Speaker 3: That's eight dollars of fish.
- 31:02Speaker 2: It's crazy. Okay, So this is a really cute item, right,
- 31:06Speaker 2: It really does look like one's missing. I think just
- 31:08Speaker 2: they got shooken up.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Okay, seems like five is a better number.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I got this in an artisanal gift shop. I want
- 31:17Speaker 2: to say the last Christmas?
- 31:18Speaker 3: Okay?
- 31:19Speaker 2: And I was going to give this to what's the date? Quick?
- 31:23Speaker 3: Today is October? Nope? Wrong fully wrong on September nineteenth,
- 31:29Speaker 3: Nomber September eight.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Best if used by September fifteenth, twenty twenty five. So
- 31:34Speaker 2: we're still well.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Within That is a lie. Ye, No, of course, expiration's
- 31:39Speaker 3: a lie.
- 31:40Speaker 2: I cracked eggs. Want any go best of? I go
- 31:42Speaker 2: best of your mother, bitch, I'm meeting you for another month.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Do you know how you can tell if an egg
- 31:45Speaker 3: is good? If it floats, put it in the water.
- 31:47Speaker 2: If it floats, it's.
- 31:48Speaker 3: If it floats, it's bad. If it stands up, it's
- 31:50Speaker 3: on the edge, And if it sinks completely it's good.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Also, I think with eggs, crack it open. If it
- 31:56Speaker 2: smells crazy, I don't use it.
- 31:57Speaker 3: That's really the ultimate test of anything. If it smells
- 32:00Speaker 3: like rotten garbage.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Don't put it in your mouth. Okay. So I'm gonna
- 32:05Speaker 2: take again thirty two dollars. Okay. So I got this
- 32:08Speaker 2: in an artisanal shop. Okay, I got two of them,
- 32:11Speaker 2: and I go, you know what this is. I saw
- 32:13Speaker 2: this and I go, this is a perfect little come
- 32:15Speaker 2: over to someone's house for dinner the holidays.
- 32:19Speaker 3: It's got those shiny red packagers.
- 32:21Speaker 2: I just thought this was cute. I think, actually, you
- 32:22Speaker 2: know what I was gonna do, and this is really sad.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I was gonna send this to Amy Sidaris and I
- 32:26Speaker 2: never did this.
- 32:26Speaker 3: It feels right of her aunt.
- 32:28Speaker 2: So this is like an Amy Sidaris like. I was like,
- 32:29Speaker 2: I'm gonna send this to Amy. It didn't happen, So sorry, Amy.
- 32:32Speaker 2: And this is in line with a broader theme in
- 32:35Speaker 2: my life, which is gifts that I purchased to give
- 32:37Speaker 2: someone sure never give them. So right now, I want
- 32:40Speaker 2: to say, for maybe a year, if there's been a
- 32:43Speaker 2: little child size parasol propped up next to my front door,
- 32:47Speaker 2: I was going to give that to my friend's daughter
- 32:48Speaker 2: for her birthday. The birthday passed. Now the other birthday
- 32:52Speaker 2: just happened. I go, I'm finally going to give her
- 32:54Speaker 2: the parasol. Still have it. I bought baby, I bought
- 32:57Speaker 2: purchase baby clothes for babies. The baby's on five. I
- 33:01Speaker 2: can't no I got. It's a couple of things. I
- 33:05Speaker 2: need a full time assistance. I mean, how do how
- 33:07Speaker 2: are people.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Saying, I really I forget. Anything that's not like always
- 33:13Speaker 3: in my bag will be forgotten.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Anytime I go to the dentist, they say make sure
- 33:16Speaker 3: to bring your mouth guard. It's not coming with me.
- 33:18Speaker 3: They're not cleaning that. So it's all up to me.
- 33:20Speaker 3: So I understand this feeling of like because it's not
- 33:23Speaker 3: entirely essential. A friend asked me to buy them sunscreen
- 33:28Speaker 3: on vacation I was Japan. She's like an SPF, there's
- 33:31Speaker 3: really good. This was five six months ago.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I did the same thing Aqua.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Yes, it's good SPF.
- 33:38Speaker 2: See, I know my shit. I bought Bora Aqua for
- 33:42Speaker 2: a friend and never gave it to her. Wow, I
- 33:44Speaker 2: when to Japan, and as you do give her friends
- 33:46Speaker 2: give your friends, they're never getting them.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Because they're mostly in essential items.
- 33:52Speaker 2: It's a sweet thing because you're like, oh, the key chain.
- 33:55Speaker 2: I'll buy this from my friend. It's a sweet thing,
- 33:57Speaker 2: but you got to go the extra home give it
- 33:59Speaker 2: to them. That's where I circuit complete, Like this was
- 34:03Speaker 2: so sweet, and I have this I have this dream
- 34:05Speaker 2: of myself. Dear Amy, Merry Christmas.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Love you now? Would you have had to taken it
- 34:12Speaker 3: with you to New York to give to her or
- 34:13Speaker 3: mail to her?
- 34:14Speaker 2: I was going to mail it.
- 34:14Speaker 3: See that's him. That's never happened. There's no chance that's
- 34:17Speaker 3: happening unless there's like some business agreement where they can
- 34:20Speaker 3: like write you a bad view. Yeah. Yeah, you're not
- 34:23Speaker 3: going to the post office to send those.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I have a post office I love, and so I
- 34:29Speaker 2: have almost a superstitious attachment to them. Like that's where
- 34:31Speaker 2: I go. Okay, I feel like any other male, I
- 34:33Speaker 2: can't do it right. And so I could have gone there,
- 34:36Speaker 2: but I didn't.
- 34:37Speaker 5: And so this ended up.
- 34:40Speaker 2: In my home and I've been looking at it and
- 34:43Speaker 2: I went, okay, oh I can dinner party.
- 34:46Speaker 3: No.
- 34:46Speaker 1: No.
- 34:47Speaker 2: And so I was looking at what to bring you today.
- 34:49Speaker 2: I wanted to bring you something, and I looked, you know,
- 34:51Speaker 2: there were some options. There was some skincare sure, and
- 34:54Speaker 2: I thought, and I go, no, this and this is
- 34:58Speaker 2: the promise of a person that I I hope to be,
- 35:00Speaker 2: and I think I could still become that person.
- 35:02Speaker 3: This feels like a nice two dollars thirty two dollars my.
- 35:05Speaker 2: God, price point, I mean, what is that?
- 35:07Speaker 3: I call it fifty truly thirty two dollars?
- 35:10Speaker 2: Round up, it's called it forty.
- 35:11Speaker 3: It's already the price is already out of control.
- 35:14Speaker 2: That not being nine dollars, what would you guess nine dollars?
- 35:16Speaker 3: I would have guessed this was fourteen, because you know
- 35:19Speaker 3: it's got the little it's true sweet, ha's sweet tech. Yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 3: and who God knows what the quality of chocolate is,
- 35:25Speaker 3: but maybe a tie. It probably is decent.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Where's the chocolate from?
- 35:30Speaker 3: Let's see here? This is truely space is.
- 35:34Speaker 2: German?
- 35:35Speaker 3: I'm not seeing Let's see, oh, France. It's probably a.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Good cho chocolate. And the quality of the sardines is
- 35:44Speaker 2: all the details detail, it's gorgeous.
- 35:46Speaker 3: I'll have to post some sort of picture of that.
- 35:47Speaker 3: But this is like a real They're shiny, like a sargine.
- 35:50Speaker 2: They're beautiful.
- 35:50Speaker 3: You wonder where that I guess chocolate's shiny. So that works.
- 35:54Speaker 3: And now I'm like, should we open these or should
- 35:56Speaker 3: this be?
- 35:57Speaker 2: Should we try one?
- 35:58Speaker 3: Oh? And do you know what I'm noticing? There are
- 36:00Speaker 3: five in here?
- 36:01Speaker 2: So yeah, one just got dislodged.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Yeah, so I've this whole time. I thought it was
- 36:07Speaker 3: just but they're just packed in in a way that like,
- 36:12Speaker 3: do you think we should open them?
- 36:14Speaker 2: I'm completely torn. What do you want to do?
- 36:17Speaker 3: I think we should open them. I feel like we should.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Chocolate girl like me. I think they're factory sealed.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Factory sealed with a piece of Scotch day. Okay, oh
- 36:31Speaker 3: my god, Okay, look at that. Okay, we'll put them
- 36:34Speaker 3: back in place.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Oh, here's one got loose.
- 36:38Speaker 3: And do you know what I'm noticing already is that
- 36:40Speaker 3: it's even more it's the tin is the I thought
- 36:44Speaker 3: they were painted like fish, but detail, how sweet that is?
- 36:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good solid chocolate.
- 36:56Speaker 3: That's no, that's good French chocolate.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Hmmm, you know there is first I go see after taste,
- 37:04Speaker 2: you go, it's French.
- 37:05Speaker 3: There's no other chalkiness.
- 37:07Speaker 2: This is not a CVS Easter Bunny.
- 37:09Speaker 3: The worst a Russell Stover's the absolute bottom of the barrel.
- 37:13Speaker 2: You know.
- 37:14Speaker 3: I mean a lot of you United States chocolate and
- 37:16Speaker 3: now was not chocolate. They have to call it chocolate.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Echo you read about that. Ye, no, I guess there's
- 37:21Speaker 3: some international standard. And because they're just feeling it with
- 37:25Speaker 3: blavor and it's wax or.
- 37:26Speaker 5: What have you.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Well, isn't that what we That's what those countries become.
- 37:29Speaker 2: It's chocolate.
- 37:31Speaker 3: It used to be chocolate, I know, used to be
- 37:33Speaker 3: pure chocolate and.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Now chocolate product.
- 37:36Speaker 3: This is very good. Do you eat? Are you a
- 37:38Speaker 3: tin fish person?
- 37:40Speaker 2: I kind of Sometimes I get really I'm a tuna girl, okay,
- 37:45Speaker 2: but the actual sardines, like the actual fish. A couple
- 37:49Speaker 2: of times I go, oh yeah, and then it's scary
- 37:52Speaker 2: when it's the head and the spine, and you go,
- 37:55Speaker 2: I don't like the spine.
- 37:57Speaker 3: I don't like the idea that they're I'm crunching on bones.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Don't really like that. And I in Kyoto once, I
- 38:03Speaker 2: of course did eat. There was a thing where it
- 38:05Speaker 2: was like the whole fish and it's just a little
- 38:09Speaker 2: I'll do it.
- 38:10Speaker 3: But that's another very American thing though. We don't want
- 38:14Speaker 3: to see the four want to get the chicken finger? Yeah,
- 38:16Speaker 3: you don't want it. Want it's separated from.
- 38:17Speaker 5: What they don't want, the carcass.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah right right, Yeah. I like a tuna. Are you
- 38:21Speaker 3: putting anything in or eating a plane tuna? Yeah? Lemon
- 38:25Speaker 3: all over, I mean I do it.
- 38:26Speaker 2: I'll do a mustard. I mean I do a real
- 38:29Speaker 2: chop them up, salad, herbs, capers, oh wow, red onion, shallots,
- 38:34Speaker 2: and what is the you're not? It depends on if
- 38:40Speaker 2: I'm in a cut.
- 38:44Speaker 3: I uh, I love a tuna with just lemon or whatever.
- 38:47Speaker 3: But the mayonnaise. I don't know that I've ever actually
- 38:49Speaker 3: even eaten that. I've been circling a tuna melt at
- 38:53Speaker 3: a restaurant. Which restaurant my favorite Clark Street diner. So good,
- 38:58Speaker 3: it's good.
- 38:59Speaker 2: I don't know. I just know that it's good.
- 39:01Speaker 3: I know the waiter that I I mean, we're there
- 39:04Speaker 3: so often. She's like, you have to try it, but
- 39:06Speaker 3: and we kind of came to an agreement where she's like,
- 39:09Speaker 3: you can send something back if you don't like it,
- 39:10Speaker 3: and that kind of took some of the pressure.
- 39:12Speaker 2: You can't this happens, is what they love to tell you.
- 39:15Speaker 2: If you don't like it, it's a cocktail thing. Because
- 39:17Speaker 2: I'll have a cocktail at restaurant. I go, oh, is this?
- 39:20Speaker 2: They go, if you don't like it, send it back?
- 39:22Speaker 2: I go, Now, I really can't because now you've gone
- 39:28Speaker 2: doors open. What could possibly be scary about that? So
- 39:32Speaker 2: now there's a real gun to my head.
- 39:34Speaker 3: And so I can't have you ever sent anything back?
- 39:37Speaker 2: Relish in it all the time, not all the time,
- 39:42Speaker 2: and it's scary, and but it's one of the great accomplishments.
- 39:45Speaker 2: That's I think of adulthood that if I look at
- 39:48Speaker 2: my life and I go, what's changed? I can send
- 39:50Speaker 2: something back now. And by the way, it's rare, and
- 39:54Speaker 2: it's an emergency. It's you have something has to be
- 39:57Speaker 2: really wrong. I'm not doing I don't like this, of
- 40:00Speaker 2: course not, but when it's an occasion, it has to
- 40:03Speaker 2: be egregious, like like I did not order this. That's
- 40:07Speaker 2: because I used to just even suck that down.
- 40:08Speaker 3: But I got what I got. You know.
- 40:10Speaker 2: It was like I was very yeah, I was very like,
- 40:13Speaker 2: it won't be me. I won't rock the boat. But
- 40:16Speaker 2: now I'm trying to think of a good sendback. I
- 40:18Speaker 2: had there anything, Yeah, I want to send it back.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Oh.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Actually I ordered a disgusting steak at a disgusting restaurant.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Here's the thing. I went to a place where you
- 40:32Speaker 2: go for happy hour cocktails and like French fries mistake
- 40:36Speaker 2: and it was a huge thing. And I go, I'm
- 40:38Speaker 2: going to get the full at Mignon and it was
- 40:39Speaker 2: so everything else. It was like happy hour burger is
- 40:42Speaker 2: ten dollars, right, happy hour fries are five dollars. I go,
- 40:45Speaker 2: I'll get the forty five dollars, fulllaming eye. I knew
- 40:47Speaker 2: it was a mistake, but I was hungry, and I
- 40:49Speaker 2: was like, I don't I just it came and I
- 40:52Speaker 2: said medium, because I go, I want to do a
- 40:55Speaker 2: medium right here. It arrived rare and it tasted like
- 40:58Speaker 2: dog meat. It tasted. I was like, this is a
- 41:00Speaker 2: frozen smart and final steak from three years ago. I mean,
- 41:02Speaker 2: I was like, this is not good. And as a result,
- 41:05Speaker 2: I barely touched it, but I sliced in I go
- 41:09Speaker 2: and so I said. I was like, and the guy
- 41:11Speaker 2: was so slammed. It's a happy hour joint. He's like, what,
- 41:13Speaker 2: They're already like steak like it was crazy. And then
- 41:18Speaker 2: I went, sorry to do this, but it was just
- 41:20Speaker 2: so rare, right, and he looked at huh. I went
- 41:24Speaker 2: back to the thing comes back dog meat on the plate,
- 41:27Speaker 2: and so I had to send that back and yeah,
- 41:30Speaker 2: but that was the last time.
- 41:32Speaker 3: So they brought it back another steak back to you,
- 41:34Speaker 3: the same steak, and you didn't eat it. You just said,
- 41:37Speaker 3: I took a by it.
- 41:38Speaker 2: My friends had a couple of bites and we all
- 41:39Speaker 2: agreed that it was like.
- 41:41Speaker 3: That's the big problem when you send something back and
- 41:43Speaker 3: they're like, well, we'll bring back the same thing, but
- 41:45Speaker 3: because there might be multiple elements you don't like about
- 41:47Speaker 3: it and the thing that you're sending it back for,
- 41:49Speaker 3: they'll bring it back and that's gone. But now you
- 41:51Speaker 3: still don't like that. Yeah, I just sent back a steak.
- 41:54Speaker 3: I've never done that before, but I realized that within
- 41:57Speaker 3: the last two years or so. Like when I was
- 41:59Speaker 3: a waiter and people unless they were truly horrible and
- 42:01Speaker 3: we're sending everything back. It was like I didn't care.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Well, that's the thing that I always I talk. I go,
- 42:06Speaker 2: I'm being lovely, I'm being polite. I'm not going, what
- 42:09Speaker 2: the fuck is this? Like, I'm being I am so sorry,
- 42:13Speaker 2: and it's not egregious. If I'm sending it back, I'm
- 42:16Speaker 2: sending right for a reason.
- 42:17Speaker 3: You want to get the thing you pay for. That's
- 42:18Speaker 3: like I was. I had had maybe twenty percent of
- 42:22Speaker 3: the meal, and I was thinking, am I just going
- 42:23Speaker 3: to sit here for the rest of my meal and
- 42:25Speaker 3: not enjoy this? And then pay for it.
- 42:27Speaker 2: I can't do that anymore. It's not fair. We're too old.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Yeah, if an ingredient is missing, I'll let them know.
- 42:34Speaker 2: And if an ingredient's missing, what do you mean.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Well, okay, now it's gonna sound like I send everything back.
- 42:38Speaker 3: But this is very I have to say, it's very rare.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Your head is just a tune them out. Now, I'm hungry.
- 42:43Speaker 2: I want to tune them out. I was just looking
- 42:44Speaker 2: at all I see is a Clark Street.
- 42:46Speaker 3: That company owes me some sort of compensation. You talk
- 42:49Speaker 3: about them all the time, although I found out recently
- 42:53Speaker 3: that their T shirt they sell is forty dollars, which
- 42:56Speaker 3: I wasn't planning on buying one in the first place.
- 42:57Speaker 3: But that feels like a lot of five. Yes, but
- 43:01Speaker 3: people buy a T shirt. Everybody needs a little extra money.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Okay, miss the ingredient.
- 43:06Speaker 3: I ordered a club and it didn't come with bacon.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Well that's you know, that's a There are only a few.
- 43:11Speaker 3: And they say they were lovely about us, We're so sorry.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Not only did they take it back, but they clearly
- 43:17Speaker 3: remade the this this to me, I was like, well,
- 43:19Speaker 3: you could just go back and just flop it up
- 43:21Speaker 3: and throw the whole plate had been redone.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I feel like Clerk Street, you're getting high quality sour dough.
- 43:28Speaker 2: I want that cheddar on.
- 43:29Speaker 3: There, fantastic delicious and their cob salad. I don't know
- 43:32Speaker 3: if you've ever had that which Clark Street, because there's two, right,
- 43:35Speaker 3: this is the one, the old Yeah, the old cafe
- 43:37Speaker 3: one on one.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Cafe one on one used to have ice to go
- 43:39Speaker 2: there in high school.
- 43:41Speaker 3: It's been around for a long time.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not that old. H I used to go
- 43:45Speaker 2: there to go there. They had a waffle brownie Sunday,
- 43:51Speaker 2: and this is something that I mourn. I mourn the
- 43:53Speaker 2: loss of this brownie batter and a waffle maker.
- 43:58Speaker 3: That's a gene idea, especially for a diner waffle.
- 44:03Speaker 2: I scream hot fudge me sixteen years old, high as
- 44:07Speaker 2: a kite there with my girlfriends being bad.
- 44:11Speaker 3: That is such a good idea because then they don't
- 44:13Speaker 3: have to worry about the brownie getting to stale.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Crispy Edges waffle.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Clark Street reach out, I mean, can they get that
- 44:21Speaker 3: back on the middle a waffle maker there?
- 44:23Speaker 2: I have a Clerk Street announcement. I went there. I
- 44:25Speaker 2: have a dear friend. He would love his fabulous love you, Lauren.
- 44:29Speaker 2: He goes there a lot. I went with him once,
- 44:32Speaker 2: and he has his whole thing there. He has his women,
- 44:37Speaker 2: he's got this relationship with the wait there she was
- 44:40Speaker 2: selling this oil that she made called abundance oil. Okay,
- 44:44Speaker 2: and it was like, you know, it's like we're this
- 44:47Speaker 2: and like abundance. I was going through a hard time.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I got give me, I need a bigger bawl, you know.
- 44:52Speaker 2: I bought it. Smell fabulous.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Oh this is great.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Little roller. I had in my purse for a couple
- 44:57Speaker 2: of days. I was wearing it. Something happened, not blaming
- 45:01Speaker 2: the bottle, but shattered in my purse. I went into
- 45:03Speaker 2: my person, got my keys pulled out. Bloody. That wasn't
- 45:06Speaker 2: that bad, but cut your handle. I was out of party, actually,
- 45:09Speaker 2: and I was fishing around and I go, ah, blood,
- 45:12Speaker 2: I had to ask a bartender for a band aid.
- 45:15Speaker 3: That's a broken glass stuck in your hand.
- 45:17Speaker 2: A week or so later, I meet my current part partner.
- 45:22Speaker 2: We'll take that again. A week or so later, I
- 45:24Speaker 2: meet my current partner. Can you imagine it's actually a
- 45:27Speaker 2: week or so, But I just mean, is that the
- 45:29Speaker 2: abundance oil, and.
- 45:32Speaker 3: I feel like the symbolism of it's rich, yeah something
- 45:35Speaker 3: blood and the passion. That's amazing. And was I assumed
- 45:40Speaker 3: there was no real connection there. It wasn't like they
- 45:42Speaker 3: were like, oh I noticed that scar on your hand.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Yeah no no, But I just later I go, huh,
- 45:47Speaker 2: maybe the abundance oil. I got to get more.
- 45:49Speaker 3: That's very like witches brew where you have to put
- 45:51Speaker 3: a drop of blood into the brew and it creates
- 45:55Speaker 3: whatever you need.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Wow, And I get some more oil.
- 45:59Speaker 3: And I'm sure your purse smells wonderful now it did?
- 46:02Speaker 2: What purse was it at the time?
- 46:04Speaker 3: You know?
- 46:04Speaker 2: That's girls with our purses. The passes recommend they become
- 46:07Speaker 2: a certain air of your life. That's the air of
- 46:09Speaker 2: life of that purse. And then you move on in
- 46:10Speaker 2: that purse. You got to just get rid of it.
- 46:12Speaker 3: That bag right there have been carrying around for I
- 46:14Speaker 3: think three years. It's a nightmare. And I can't commit
- 46:16Speaker 3: to a new bag.
- 46:17Speaker 2: I know exactly what bag you're going to upgrade to.
- 46:19Speaker 3: What.
- 46:20Speaker 2: I have a couple of ideas for you.
- 46:21Speaker 3: I need, I genuinely need to punt this as holes
- 46:23Speaker 3: in it.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Okay, I know a bag. I don't why I'm keeping
- 46:26Speaker 2: a secret at Couslada. Sorry, but they are friends. But
- 46:29Speaker 2: they're fabulous.
- 46:30Speaker 3: That's a good bag.
- 46:31Speaker 2: They just new season. I just saw the show a
- 46:34Speaker 2: fashion week. They came out with a new They have
- 46:37Speaker 2: a new bag that is so fabulous. It's amazing. It's
- 46:40Speaker 2: not gonna be cheap, sweet, but it's gonna last you
- 46:41Speaker 2: for the rest of the next ten years.
- 46:43Speaker 3: That's what I need, because I'm not someone who's like
- 46:44Speaker 3: a constant turnover.
- 46:45Speaker 2: You need a fat you need a real bag.
- 46:48Speaker 3: I just need a bag that's like, you know, I
- 46:50Speaker 3: can use and it's I have.
- 46:51Speaker 2: One of their other ones. It's like my tour bag
- 46:53Speaker 2: fits a lot.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Do they have any inner pocket?
- 46:56Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 46:57Speaker 3: I need just for my ones.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:58Speaker 2: I think there's always my wall. Every a serious bag
- 47:01Speaker 2: is gonna have the obligatory inner zip.
- 47:03Speaker 3: The rest of its keys, and then swamp right just
- 47:06Speaker 3: garbage they have to fish through.
- 47:07Speaker 2: I think you should get that one in like navy
- 47:09Speaker 2: in a like an army green.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Okay, this is good to know because I've been online
- 47:13Speaker 3: for at least six months.
- 47:14Speaker 2: I wonder if you'll think it's like if it's like
- 47:16Speaker 2: a little too firm for you. But it's not it.
- 47:18Speaker 3: Who cares?
- 47:19Speaker 2: No, I know, I think they'll be into it.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Okay, I'm very curious.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's black too.
- 47:23Speaker 3: See this is why you're here.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Look at this ads is while you're look at this
- 47:25Speaker 2: ad Clark Street.
- 47:27Speaker 3: These companies compensated. I know, Well, is there anything left
- 47:32Speaker 3: we have to say about this fish?
- 47:33Speaker 2: I think this was really nice.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Glad we ate it tastes wonderful. M I wonder if
- 47:41Speaker 3: the listener hates that's like the soft pressure of tooth
- 47:49Speaker 3: on chocolate seems like a nightmare, But that's what you get.
- 47:55Speaker 2: This molded into that. Look at the look at the
- 47:57Speaker 2: scales on that. That's a high quality item.
- 48:00Speaker 3: And now I have a couple for decor, which is
- 48:02Speaker 3: so lovely.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Most can just kind of you know, ratch, it's almost
- 48:06Speaker 2: a little toddler. You go, oh, like they'd like that
- 48:08Speaker 2: you could taunt a child from the little sardine.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Children. Well, I think we should play a game. Okay,
- 48:17Speaker 3: We're going to play a game called Gift or a Curse.
- 48:19Speaker 3: But I need a number between one and ten for you. Okay,
- 48:21Speaker 3: I have to do. I have to do some light
- 48:25Speaker 3: calculating to get our game pieces. So right now you
- 48:28Speaker 3: can promote, recommend, do whatever you want with the microph.
- 48:30Speaker 2: I have a podcast called Poog. You can find us
- 48:33Speaker 2: at poog podcast. Legally we had to be Berlant Novak.

- 49:00Speaker 2: the other day. I go, fuck you, saying them ugly.
- 49:04Speaker 2: I don't like that. I'm an actress. Hello, comedian of course.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Someone someone was introducing she's a great writer.
- 49:11Speaker 3: I go, that's a weird thing to name you first,
- 49:14Speaker 3: like writer, Like why give up.
- 49:21Speaker 2: My pen?
- 49:22Speaker 3: I would say singer for not that you're not a
- 49:25Speaker 3: great writer, but it's like I think you're.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Known, thank you seven people. She's a she's a great writer,
- 49:36Speaker 2: hair stylist, dentist, exactly, garbage man, yeah, yeah, all these things.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Yeah yeah writer.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Was it someone who knew you well?
- 49:45Speaker 2: Apparently not? No, that's what I know well, but someone
- 49:47Speaker 2: I know enough to go writer.
- 49:49Speaker 3: I feel like whatever, good for them that shakes you up.
- 49:54Speaker 3: The actress, re evaluate your actress. Okay, everyone go, So
- 50:00Speaker 3: it's back to Poog.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Listen, this was a whole drama, a big drama in
- 50:06Speaker 2: the podcast world. We're on the cover of Fast Company.
- 50:09Speaker 2: I don't know what that is. What's fast Company?
- 50:11Speaker 3: That's a great, great question.
- 50:14Speaker 2: It's like burn into my head. I don't know what
- 50:16Speaker 2: it is.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Is it a website?
- 50:20Speaker 2: Is it like an articleal magazine?
- 50:22Speaker 3: I think yeah, I feel like I always see it
- 50:24Speaker 3: like almost like uh.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Okay, deep Pockets. I'd love to do it. I would
- 50:27Speaker 2: love to do a seminar a Fast Company.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Who's subscribing to Fast Company? Is it like marketing companies
- 50:34Speaker 3: to put on their coffee tables?
- 50:35Speaker 2: Yeah, they like Fast Company's like here are the top
- 50:37Speaker 2: businesses of this month.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Yeah, there's no one sitting at home like waiting for
- 50:41Speaker 3: the mail to come to get their latest issue of
- 50:43Speaker 3: Fast Company. I don't know what it is, but it
- 50:45Speaker 3: does seem like they have someone working there.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Someone's there and they're talking about businesses and your business
- 50:52Speaker 2: and companies and I have a business. But back to Poog,
- 50:55Speaker 2: So everyone, the podcast continues. You know, we started in COVID.
- 51:00Speaker 2: It and we're just still there.
- 51:03Speaker 3: We've seen a lot of come and go.
- 51:04Speaker 2: We've seen a lot of stand strong, resilient. Okay, this
- 51:08Speaker 2: is how we by some of the episodes stick around.
- 51:14Speaker 3: This is how we play Gift or a Curse. I'm
- 51:15Speaker 3: going to name three things. You'll tell me if they
- 51:17Speaker 3: are a gift or a curse and why, and I'll
- 51:20Speaker 3: tell if you're right or wrong, because there are correct answers.
- 51:23Speaker 3: First up, this is from a listener named Emily. Gift
- 51:25Speaker 3: or a curse. A character quietly, yet dramatically takes a
- 51:28Speaker 3: pill to let the audience know they are troubled.
- 51:32Speaker 2: It's a curse. Why I don't understand the question. Wait,
- 51:40Speaker 2: a person takes a pill.
- 51:41Speaker 3: A character like in a TV or movement, takes a
- 51:44Speaker 3: pill to let the audience know they're troubled.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Oh I see, I see. No, it's a gift to
- 51:50Speaker 2: the audience to show them. It's it's character development. It's
- 51:55Speaker 2: a rich character development.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Correct.
- 51:58Speaker 2: I mean it's cheap writing. But yeah, I think absolutely
- 52:08Speaker 2: still actually used to do that tiktoks when I was
- 52:10Speaker 2: a little kid.
- 52:14Speaker 3: For years, your little pills. Yeah, yeah, when you're bored,
- 52:17Speaker 3: you get to it's like there are a few things
- 52:19Speaker 3: that kind of were drug coded as children, like.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Tiktoks were huge. And then I loved a First Wives
- 52:26Speaker 2: Club when I was younger and stuck her channing in
- 52:29Speaker 2: the beginning, she has she's about to kill herself or
- 52:33Speaker 2: spoiler happened to the first scene. So it's fine. But
- 52:36Speaker 2: she jumps off the balcony of her apartment building and
- 52:38Speaker 2: she has vodka and a little thing and she's like
- 52:41Speaker 2: drinking the vodka with like the glass hitting and I
- 52:43Speaker 2: remember doing that, like loving like the woman on h Yeah.
- 52:48Speaker 3: She poured herself the glass of vodka before she.
- 52:50Speaker 2: Drinks like one last drink and then she puts on
- 52:52Speaker 2: what it's nice. She's fabulous. It's a great scene. It's
- 52:56Speaker 2: a great movie. We won't make them like that anymore.
- 53:00Speaker 3: We get to see the actor. You know. Everyone's take
- 53:02Speaker 3: on the pills swallow. Yeah, sometimes you just need it
- 53:04Speaker 3: spelled out for you. That's something's wrong.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Actually I sometimes am rosing about myself because I
- 53:10Speaker 2: have pills. I don't like like I take it time.
- 53:12Speaker 2: I'm actually a little scared of pills. But I've been
- 53:14Speaker 2: known to have an emergency colnup in here and there.
- 53:16Speaker 2: But I have a little pillcase and I am on
- 53:18Speaker 2: a plane. I had a tummy ache the other day
- 53:21Speaker 2: and I took something for my tummy, and I felt
- 53:24Speaker 2: very aware of like opening the pillcase in public and
- 53:28Speaker 2: being like like, right now, not me, but yeah, it's
- 53:32Speaker 2: like what are they thinking?
- 53:33Speaker 3: And I wanted to be like, yeah, but everyone gets
- 53:36Speaker 3: to guess what's wrong with you? Yeah, exactly, and no
- 53:38Speaker 3: one at that point they're gonna be tiptoeing around you
- 53:40Speaker 3: for the rest of the flight.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Well, I was overthinking because I'm actually I'm taking this
- 53:43Speaker 2: at the end of the flight. That would be weird
- 53:45Speaker 2: to take take a sleep medication at the end of the.
- 53:47Speaker 3: That's a great idea. I'm gonna drive myself home.
- 53:51Speaker 2: So I thought, anyone observing me right now I might go,
- 53:53Speaker 2: what was she taken? But I probably don't care. But
- 53:56Speaker 2: of course, and so I thought, well that I'm throwing
- 53:59Speaker 2: them off this.
- 54:01Speaker 3: What do you take for a stomach?
- 54:04Speaker 2: You know you're up there.
- 54:05Speaker 3: I'm never prepared. I don't have any pills.
- 54:07Speaker 2: I have pills at all times.
- 54:09Speaker 3: I should, you know, I have a whole bag of
- 54:10Speaker 3: garbage always what are you doing well?
- 54:12Speaker 2: Because I get migraines chronically, so always have migraine medication
- 54:14Speaker 2: on me. I always have something for the stomach. God forbid,
- 54:18Speaker 2: and I feel God forbid.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Migraine is that prescription medication I need that.
- 54:23Speaker 2: I literally give myself an injection once a month in
- 54:26Speaker 2: my five I have them at a.
- 54:27Speaker 3: Really bad frequently.
- 54:28Speaker 2: And I'm in a whole battle with my insurance company
- 54:32Speaker 2: right now because I'll just say quickly, I've been taking
- 54:34Speaker 2: it for years. Change my life. This medication, life saving
- 54:37Speaker 2: medication really when you think about it, and five dollars
- 54:40Speaker 2: guess how much of costs now?
- 54:41Speaker 3: Oh, I can't imagine.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Hundred unbelievable, untenable. So I've been literally begging for free
- 54:47Speaker 2: samples all over town. I had to pay for it
- 54:49Speaker 2: once out of pocket. But who can do that? I
- 54:50Speaker 2: mean it's just insane.
- 54:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I mean we all know how awful
- 54:54Speaker 3: it is, absolutely horrible, And like you think about somebody
- 54:57Speaker 3: that has the rug pulled out from underneath them and
- 54:58Speaker 3: they don't have that.
- 55:00Speaker 2: With the coupons and everything, I got it down that
- 55:02Speaker 2: one time to seven hundred.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Seven hundred dollars the price of an ambulance ride in
- 55:07Speaker 3: twenty twelve.
- 55:09Speaker 2: So I mean the chaos continues.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Oh, that's horrible. And you haven't gotten the approval yet.
- 55:15Speaker 2: Oh, I've been denied. I'm in like my fourth appeal.
- 55:17Speaker 3: They pulled that on me with some medication monsters. Yeah,
- 55:19Speaker 3: and there was just there's nothing you can do.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 55:24Speaker 3: Anyway, we gotta reach out. Yeah, exactly. Okay, so you
- 55:29Speaker 3: got one right, so far, so good for you. I'm second.
- 55:32Speaker 3: This is from an unknown listener, so they must have
- 55:34Speaker 3: posted it on some sort of thing we were doing.
- 55:38Speaker 3: God bless you, gift her a curse. Tongue scrapers.
- 55:43Speaker 2: Okay, so I have a lot to say about this
- 55:45Speaker 2: because tongue scraper ostensibly you go, well, that's great, fresher
- 55:49Speaker 2: breath whatever. Jury's out. Because listen to me, there's there's
- 55:54Speaker 2: two schools of thought, and I have to go deeper
- 55:56Speaker 2: into this. Some people think that when you wake up
- 55:59Speaker 2: in the morning, you should immediately tongue scrape brush your teeth,
- 56:04Speaker 2: get all that out right before breakfast. Oh yeah, for coffee,
- 56:08Speaker 2: for everything, because they think, oh, well, in the night,
- 56:10Speaker 2: all your shit is caked in there, and then you're
- 56:13Speaker 2: eating it, you're digesting it. It's going back in, oh,
- 56:16Speaker 2: causing heart problems. Plaque, the whole thing, right, there's another
- 56:19Speaker 2: school of thought. Andrew Huberman taught me this. Yes, I
- 56:23Speaker 2: dip in Huberman. He teaches at Berkeley. There's some scary
- 56:28Speaker 2: stuff going on there, but there's usually somebody who fixed.
- 56:30Speaker 2: I like science, he said, because I listened to one
- 56:33Speaker 2: of his episodes about like immunity, because I'm obsessed with immunity,
- 56:36Speaker 2: you know, doing what I we all, you know, we
- 56:38Speaker 2: all should be but touring and whatnot. And he one
- 56:41Speaker 2: of his little tips. He goes something that I do
- 56:43Speaker 2: for immune for immune support every day, and you wake
- 56:47Speaker 2: up bedside water.
- 56:51Speaker 3: Swallow oh, which is the absolute opposite.
- 56:55Speaker 2: So I so I have an announcement. I've been doing
- 57:00Speaker 2: that for about six months. I haven't gotten.
- 57:04Speaker 3: Shiok oh, my god in six months.
- 57:06Speaker 2: And I've been traveling. I mean I've been traveling.
- 57:11Speaker 3: That's a long stretch. I get sick probably once a
- 57:14Speaker 3: quarter something. M h wow. And that's so. I mean,
- 57:20Speaker 3: there's something about that that the logic doesn't add up.
- 57:23Speaker 3: So maybe that's why it works, because I feel like
- 57:25Speaker 3: there's nothing worse than a glass of water that you
- 57:27Speaker 3: wake up to.
- 57:28Speaker 2: I don't know what. I don't know what The science
- 57:30Speaker 2: is there. But he goes, he goes. You know, this
- 57:31Speaker 2: is kind of a I don't know what he said
- 57:33Speaker 2: about it, but he goes, he goes. People think it's
- 57:35Speaker 2: a little gross. He said, It's not like you're you
- 57:36Speaker 2: literally do.
- 57:37Speaker 3: It's not like you're like just what's inside your mouth,
- 57:39Speaker 3: just like a But I started.
- 57:41Speaker 2: Doing that as a habit just kind of and I
- 57:42Speaker 2: kind of I'm kind of going, someone's here, well, maybe
- 57:47Speaker 2: I'll give it an But then I read a horror
- 57:50Speaker 2: story yesterday. My friend's friend's friend suddenly ill, plagued with sickness.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Feels crazy, going to the hospital. I've never felt worse.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Help help something. They can't figure it out. They're testing them,
- 58:01Speaker 2: they're doing all this stuff. Eventually doctor comes in and goes,
- 58:04Speaker 2: tell me about your oral hygiene. It's okay, well I'm
- 58:07Speaker 2: pretty on top of it. I floss, I brush, blah blah.
- 58:10Speaker 2: When do you floss? When do you brush? They get
- 58:12Speaker 2: down to the order. Turns out they think this person
- 58:15Speaker 2: has been ingesting plaque and it's doing made something go haywire.
- 58:20Speaker 2: Sounds crazy. How is that? I go, well, then is
- 58:22Speaker 2: that what I'm doing?
- 58:23Speaker 3: I'm right, I'm adjusting.
- 58:26Speaker 2: All of it, and I'm flossing before bed and then I.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Go to sleep, right, So it's all just kind of
- 58:29Speaker 3: floating around.
- 58:30Speaker 2: You want to floss spit when you're at night. Well,
- 58:34Speaker 2: by the way, who's flossing yum yum yum and eating?
- 58:36Speaker 2: I mean, you're like spinning it out. But I have
- 58:39Speaker 2: another announcement. I'm saving lives alcohol free mouthwash. Do not
- 58:43Speaker 2: use mouthwash with alcohol.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I've switched over making sure. But I just
- 58:47Speaker 3: kind of thought, well, why do I need alcohol in
- 58:49Speaker 3: my mouth washed?
- 58:49Speaker 2: But a lot of people think, well, that's what's cleaning you. No,
- 58:52Speaker 2: it's the opposite. You're getting rid of these essential something.
- 58:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's killing off a bacteria. They don't want to
- 58:57Speaker 3: kill it. That'd heart. I love when I do something
- 58:59Speaker 3: by accident.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Wow, And I just learned you're not. Just as of today,
- 59:04Speaker 3: I've learned you're not supposed to rinse after brushing your teeth. Huh.
- 59:08Speaker 3: You're supposed to see.
- 59:09Speaker 2: The floride is supposed to spit.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Which I tried this morning. It was not didn't feel
- 59:14Speaker 3: natural in any way. I don't like that I've been,
- 59:17Speaker 3: you know, washing out my entire life. You too, have
- 59:19Speaker 3: been washing it out and the water feels so good.
- 59:26Speaker 3: But apparently that's what you're supposed to do. Right now,
- 59:29Speaker 3: I'm using a Colgate with kind of a science. I
- 59:32Speaker 3: think I bought this in a four pack at Costco,
- 59:35Speaker 3: kind of a medical looking tube. It's not their traditional
- 59:38Speaker 3: you know, it's like almost a doctor's certified.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Yes, I've I'm really into arm and Hammer Now I'm
- 59:45Speaker 2: just never go.
- 59:46Speaker 3: Back baking soda.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Yeah, why the clean that? Now? When I do Colgate
- 59:51Speaker 2: or Cress, I'm like, what is this a trip to
- 59:53Speaker 2: the fair? The County Fair tastes like sugar. It's like
- 59:56Speaker 2: it's like it's like tastes.
- 59:57Speaker 3: Like mint, like crazy, and it's so smooth.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Doesn't get it clean to me? I need the arm
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: and Hammer.
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: I need the microscoppers, right, I like that bit of grit, Yeah,
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: that little making so yeah, my I do think we
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: should just narrow it down to like, why does Colgate
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: have fifty varieties as a company?
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: Just settle on one choice.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: They think that's what you want to want to go
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: in there and see a wall of options, But.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: For me, it's just which one is on sale, So
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: they're not going to get made. Yeah, tongue scrapers. You're saying,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: I own one.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Sometimes I'll use it, but I need to get more research. Gift,
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: I shall say it's a gift curse.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: Look at all the efforts you've brought up, not big.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Effect and even yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: I think it's not only we don't know the science
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: is out. It seems dangerous. I feel like you could
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: go too far with it. Well, yeah, the horror element
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: of it, the final designation of accident, pulling your tongue
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: off or totally scraping the you know, the surface.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Off, threading your tongue through the whole. Oh, it's kind
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: of amazing. You don't see that more people threading it through.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: And then no, I feel like just brushing your tongue
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: with your toothbrush is enough. Totally waste of money. That's another,
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: you know, scam, that's just kind of being imposed on us. Whatever,
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: you got one wrong, and that's fine.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: This final one is from one of our Patreon listeners,
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Arista Arista A R I S T A. Thank you.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I don't know how to pronounce your name.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: Gift to a curse. Cute c fake movie trailers with
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: celebrities that remind you not to talk or text during
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: the movie.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Well, very rarely are they with celebrities, So I'm a
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: little confused by the question.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: Apparently they exist.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: Okay, So there's a classic one that I'm sure people
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: have seen that I remember seeing in theaters in like
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: high school, my early years. That's Fabulous, which is like
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: a opera. It's like there's like an opera performance and
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: you think you're in about this, and then this one
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: opens your mouth to sing and I phone rings and
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: someone's like, oh no, that's fabulous, adorable, love it. No
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: movie stars in that.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: Those are so characters in great costumes.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: I would actually go as far as to argue, I've
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: never seen a celebrity and I please don't talk during
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: the movie, So I'm gonna have to see that. You
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: might maybe this person's talking, of course the viral Nicole
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Kidman and c.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: But she's not asking anyone to do that.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: It's not about that, but it's about the power of storytelling, right,
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: And so I've never seen a celebrity in one of those.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: So I refeat the question. It's a gift though, because
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: I like that one media.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: Wrong. I've never seen one with a celebrity either. So
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: I'm a little baffled and I'm disoriented. But to me,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: I don't think we need any of these things because
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: the people who are going to do these things are
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: going to do them no matter what.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: So I'm just sitting there being reminded that someone in
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: the theater will be doing that ignoring what they've been told.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Have you ever been with someone where there I went
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: some movie recently with some friends. One of the friends
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: was talking a little bag.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Oh, a friend of a friend.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: No, no, my friend who I guess I haven't seen
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: a movie with a long time, just a little bit.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: But I was like, oh, because I'm I'm of course,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: that's what you do. The most I could ever do
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: a movie looking for like the most quite thing I
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: had to be said. It would be sub perceptual.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: And it puts you in a weird position because you're like, well,
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: I don't want to be rude to and.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Go stop talking and making me uncomfortable. You can't sit
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: to a friend, then you're a cop or.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: I'll just be icy to them. And then I'm like,
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: now do they think I'm not fun to be around?
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: I'm can't talk in the movie.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: You can talk through the trailers. I don't care anymore.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: The trailers are communal.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: Yes, when you make friends, what do we think of this?
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: No, that's fun. I had a lot of fun. Actually
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: had a really fun time going to see weapons. And
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: I was I was in a really good mood, and
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: I was doing major entertainment for the whole theater. I
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: was doing major talking. I was talking about I'm scared,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: I'm scared. I was doing the whole thing is I
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: really was scared and talking it all up, and a
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: bond of was and people like you want to switch
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: some too close someth I gets good. I was doing
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: incredible community work. But then once the trailer's pay and
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: re in the movie, bitter silence.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Of course that's what everyone's there for. And the trailers
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: were there for a half an hour, were trapped.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: What was I watching a movie I didn't like? Oh, Wicked,
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: but there was somebody on their phone.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Oh just during the movie. Happens all the time.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: And then I see it again, I go, sorry, but
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: I loved Wicked. But the point is, please cast me
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: in anything. But the point is, it's just it's not
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: your cup of tea. It's too strong to say I
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: didn't like it. It's not it's just that it's not
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: for me. Yeah, that's and that's fine. By the way,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: so cried it's not for me when she's falling through
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: when she sees he chocolateself.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: Not I didn't know what it was about.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Told me what it was about. On the way to
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: the theater.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: I hadn't seen the plot. And I'm happy for everyone
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: doing everything, happy for every everyone, except for this person
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: texting during it. That's half the reason I'll go to
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: a movie is because I know I won't be able
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: to text.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: That's the joy of it.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Because at home I will be on my phone. It's
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: impossible to resist looking at my phone while watching. I
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: need to be trapped in a movie.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Theater, I know. So when someone's guess what I just
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: set up before coming to see you today? The light phone?
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: What's that?
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Here's another ad the light phone, because I because I
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: have to move away from technology and joining my life.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: I've donated my brain to science and not for my
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: own gain. It's horrible, it's over. I used to be smart.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: I'm dumb now. It's actually completely The light phone is
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: a phone that only has texts maps camera, you can
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: put music on there. The point is it's not connected
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: to the internet.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: Right, Oh, so it's almost like you put MP three's
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: on you.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: You can't exactly, it's like an iPod. You can't. You
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: can't download apps. So it's only a phone number. You
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: can text, you can talk obviously, maps huge, what else
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: do you really truly? And I just set it up
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: before coming here, So I'm gonna have two phone numbers.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: Oh so you're keeping your iPhone or whatever?
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Of course I got it.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: So but how are you going to operate with these
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: two phones?
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: So here's what it's going to be. I'm gonna have
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna have like light phone days. I'm gonna give
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: my light phone number to people that have to reach
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: me emergency concert and I'll go.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: How much does a light phone cost?
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: It's not cheap. They have different models. I think this
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: new one's going to run you like six hundred's for
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: a new life.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: That's half the cost of an iPhone certainly.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: And by the way, it's fun. It's cute. It's light
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: physically light, it's like a square. It's I'm really excited.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: I just set it up and I tested it to
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: the phone, took a photo. It's like a cute little Oh.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: I want to try one of these, and so I'll
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: report back.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: But I'm convinced it's going to change my life.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: Because I have you know, like, do not disturb on
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: at all times?
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Do anything?
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: Well? It does for me. It makes everyone mad at me,
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: even my doctors.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Be At this point, I was texting with my doctor
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: this morning. You text with your doctor.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: No, that's too close of her.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: I need the doctor right here. I'm saying, pictures, what's
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: this rash? It hurts when I touch this. Help?
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: Did you know them prior to the doctor relationship?
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: We actually have an amazing relationship. And I'm a powerful manifestor.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: And I had done an interview and I guess it
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: was variety and they were like, what's your goal for
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: the year or what's something you want for the year?
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: And I said, and I meant, meant from the soul.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: It was authentic. I want a primary care doctor in
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: my network who I like. I met this doctor at
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: a Emmy event.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: Oh wow, she's.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: High up there. I go, this is great. I need
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: a doctor. We start talking. She's she's fabulous, She's like,
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: what are you looking for we talk. She goes, I
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: have some people I can connect you with, and then
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: she goes, you know what, I'll be your doctor. Oh
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: my god, she is beyond.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: And that's I mean, that's unbelievable.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: And then she by the way, she texted me today
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: apparently she's a podcast. I'm gonna go on it.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: But I lost my last doctor to a podcast. Really,
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: the last thing I heard he said he was starting,
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: Oh my god, He's like, well, what has my treatment? Ben?
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: I love her and it's really, I mean, it's one
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: of the greatest blessings of my life.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: Wow. I want to manifest something like that. Something I'm
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: dreaming about constantly is a someone who cuts hair that
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: has ideas.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: About, oh, what to do with your hair? Yes, well
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: that's what you need.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: I love my current barber, but he doesn't, you know,
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: he doesn't bring thee. I would love for someone to
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: confidently say this is what you should do.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Oh, I have I have some names for you.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: Okay, that's really because it's hard and it's hard to
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: get any sort of recommendation. Okay, see, there we go.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: I think I might be texting with one of.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: These guys for you.
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: Yeah, we have to ask for what we want.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and sometimes beautiful thing about I'm in your hands,
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: But what do you think right?
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: Oh, to get another person who the stakes are not
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: as high for them relationship wise, and they can say something.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: They can look at you and say this is what
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: needs to happen. Yeah, the best feeling in the world.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: Deliberating because no one else is going to give you
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: the truth and they don't really see you. If someone
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: if someone's been in your life a really long time,
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: it's hard for them to separate.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: You have to go to children at that point go
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: am I ugly like, Yeah, you don't have to ask,
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: and you know, it's.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: Nothing worse when a child starts crying before you've done anything.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: Just seeing you.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: Yeah, well you got two out of no, one out
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: of three, five of it. That's totally fine. You were
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: honest with yourself and what are you gonna do? Yeah,
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: let's see. Okay, Now analys has their own gift or
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: a curse that they're going to present we you have
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: to speak to it. At least, what is it?
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: Gift? A curse? Watching a scary movie alone?
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: We were just talking about scary movies, really good one.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Okay, so I have a complicated relationship to scary movies.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: I think I like them, but I'm very poorous and
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: I'm open and they scare me. Sure, so I have
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: to time of day how going into theaters. Like, for example,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: my friend who loves scary movies is like, let's go
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: see The Conjuring, and I go, that might be too
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: scary for me. I don't know so, but I'm open
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: to it watching them alone. My partner is tragically really
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: afraid of scary movies. They're like, no, I've been bigging
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: to watch Zodiac, one of my favorite movies.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: Oh my god, maybe my favorite movie. It's one of
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: the best, one of the most rewatchable movies.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: I agree completely, and they're like no, And I'm like, re'spect.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: They're like, I won't do murder, I won't do sexual violence.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: I won't do uh like possession demons that scares them.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: I go, yeah, there's nothing they can do zombies for
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: some reason, zombies don't scare them.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: Well, zombies are boring.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: But watching a scary movie alone, I'm gonna go with Curse.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: I think I think it's not. But I'm on the
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: fence here because I was thinking about actually watching the
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: conjuring solo an old version to gear up for the
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: new one before I go to the grove and shell out.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: Right, this is going to distract, But I just had
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: this vision of you alone and not watching This isn't
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: a scary movie, but the idea of you sitting and
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: watching Pirates at the Caribbean, I've never seen it.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: It could happen.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: It seems like a very funny thing on my couch,
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: just like seeking it out and I'm watching it and
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: just like wow.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: Yeah, be like, well, technology has advance and it doesn't
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: look that good.
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: So you're saying, Okay, I'm actually.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Gonna go with I'm gonna go with Gift, even though
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: my instinct is cursed, and we'll see if that pays off.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: I also am going to say Gift and I it's
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: an extreme I've done it before, and I'll say it's
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: a very hard thing to do because it's the fear
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: factor is through the roof when you're alone. But I
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: think that's a that's how you maximize what the movie is.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: And it could be fun. Like I'm actually picturing myself
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: on my couch with a blanket, like.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: Oh, it's fantastic. I tried watching I've had several failures
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: where I tried watching The Strangers alone. Once I put
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: it in in a twelve forty five am oh home
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: invasion movie.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: A few years ago.
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: Oh eight, maybe at this point, Okay, you should see
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: this movie. It's one of the most terrible invasion for me.
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: That movie I watched, you know, I knew what it was,
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: and I watched up until the point when there was
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: a knock at the door in the movie and I said, oh, okay,
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: I'm not watching this anymore.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: That's azing. That scared you that much. I saw like
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: a fake clickbait thing that was like seven or seven
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: out of nine people couldn't wouldn't be seven out and
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: I was probably say out of ten, but it was
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: like people couldn't finish this movie on Netflix was like
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Netflix officially says.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: That marketing tactics, it was obs scare a meter. What
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: movie was it?
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: Don't no something I had never heard of a clue
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: they were trying to I couldn't it because it was
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: so terrible exactly exactly.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: I hate this one. Yeah, yeah, no, I think it's
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: a gift. I love watching scary movies with people, but
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: I if I really want to be terrified. I have
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: to do it alone.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: What do you see weapons?
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: Oh? I loved Weapons. Was in the theater, so it
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: wasn't sccary. Oh okay, I had some scary moments.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: Did you scream?
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: No? I didn't scream. I rarely scream. I screamed in Jaws.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: Recently actually went saw Jaws. Have you ever seen Jaws? Yes,
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: there's one scary moment with a dead body underwater. It's
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: kind of a jump scare with a man's face.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, scared.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: Oh my god, it's terrifying. But the thing I love
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: about Weapons is I love a horror movie where there's
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: an actual evil, Like there's an evil witch. You know,
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: it's not like psychological or anything. It's just like, oh no,
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: there's an actual demon that the town has to deal with.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: She rocks.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: She's so good.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: Finally someone wasn't scared to go.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: There's good for her, so good on a least. What
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: is the answer.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: It's a gift.
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: It's a gift we all win. I mean, yeah, to me,
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: it's my way to show me what I made of.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: You know, if I can sit through something really terrifying
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: by myself and get through it, I'm good. Like, I've
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: never felt stronger than watching And I know this may
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: seem silly because it's not very scary for a lot
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: of people, but watching the Blair Witch Project by myself, oh,
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: I felt invincible.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: I could do anything to do a rewatch because that
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: movie really got me.
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: I recently watched it for the first time. Did nothing
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: for me. I think that I've just seen too much.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Where Witch just like Pre nine eleven, like it just
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: takes me back. I mean, coming one of those people,
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: it's like the world. I mean, of course, just end
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: the episode quick before I start getting into pre nine
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: to eleven.
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: Okay, well we all win today. Good for us. Okay,
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: we have to answer a listener question. People writing into
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: I said no gifts at gmail dot com. Will you
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: help me answer questions? Okay, well, this is Salu Bridgett.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: So this person's already off on a bad Yeah. I
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: don't know if that's a typo or what, but in
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: the French, you're you're on my bad side. Listener. My
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: brother in law is turning forty this December, and my
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: husband and I want to get him a thoughtful yet
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: unique gift. He's a college professor of creative writing, and
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: his hobbies include surfing, reading, and writing, and he loves
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: a good pizza as specifically New England.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: Pizza as a single New England pizza.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: Where's is it? What is New England pizza?
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: There's no culture there. I don't know what New England
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: pizzas versus New York pizza is that they Maybe I'm
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: hungry pizza and tuna melts. We will clan.
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: We only get to see him and my sister a
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: couple of times a year when they visit us for
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: the holidays. It's too much, it's overwhelming.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: Uh, they're in New York. We're in Florida. So even
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: an experience gift during Christmas time might be fun. He
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: already owns a million books. NERD, what would you get
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: a forty year old writer, surfer reader who seems to
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: have it all advanced? Thanks Catherine.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: I have to say something that's gonna sound like spawn,
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: like I'm sponsored.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: Here we go. But I have to say like a
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: nask and my stickers.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: This might sound obvious, but gold belly and a pinch.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: Oh has some fun stuff for someone that wants a
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: food item. Like you're saying he's a pizza head. Loves
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: knowing them pizza. I've never heard of that culture, but
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: why not send a fun other kind of pizza sampler.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Here's what you do. Like my friend had a baby,
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: I send her post posts post.
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: Part post when you say that with that depression, but
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: it's not and it's a weird.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it seems a little are you. Yeah, I
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: don't know, but I sent the pizza because they do
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: you know Top Chef Chris Bianca.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: Yes, Chris Bianca.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: It's a fun episode. You can get his pizzas sense, right,
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: So I go watch the chefs hey episode, get excited,
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: to get hungry.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: I have the pizza.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Isn't that fun?
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: What an experience?
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: So I think.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Sometimes a fun gold belly item.
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: Multimedia like can be.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: That was my own little spin. But I think that's
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: a great gold belly because I've been sent a couple
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: of gold bellies. I go, let's hit the spot.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: Because I am never like, oh I'll get gold belly
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: for myself. I'll never order something from across the country.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: It's wet, but it's such a novelty. It's an extreme
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: not and there are different price points, so if you
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: want it into the fortieth you want to get up there.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: I think you can get things as low as maybe
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: you know, there's seventy dollars range, but they're going up,
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: up up.
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: I wonder what the most expensive thing you can get
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: on there, and it's probably some sort.
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: Of meat, right, I think you can go pretty high.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: Probably some type of sushi or yeah, does it all
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: come frozen?
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: Don't gold sushis like a rough No, it's not all
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: I've gotten.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: I was.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: I sent Russ and daughters so they it's different.
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: That's a lovely I mean, and she could, uh, maybe
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: there's a good food in Florida that could be gold
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: Belly to Florida. Yeah, there is good Cuban food there.
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: We go.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: You have never been to Florida, so I've never been
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: to Florida. I've never set foot in the state.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: Well, and I can actually cannot really speak to the
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: Cuban food because my experience in Miami was very singular
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: and I was not really allowed to go into the city.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: But I really, really okay, I really wanted a Cuban
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: sandwich and ended up so desperate to have when I
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: had one in the airport. So it wasn't really the
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: experience I.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: Was looking sometimes airport food. I had one of the
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: best things I had in Italy at the train station.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: Well but Italy, Yeah, what did you have this fucking
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: amazing sandwich.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: It's weird when you go to other countries and it's
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: just like baseline, everything's good. Yeah, it's like you don't
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: have to worry about even a train station having bad
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: Yeah it was.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: I was blown away.
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: Oh well, I think that's a lovely gift. My only
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: thought is you're in Florida. Has he been on one
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: of those air powered boats? What is that called? Was
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: you know the thing with a giant fan behind it?
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: Did they fly across a swamp.
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: A solo like a one seater?
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: No, I feel like it's usually uh like a swamp person.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: That's like a swamp tour.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Swamp tour. Have you been on a swamp tour?
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: No, that's how I want to del ray fall in love.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: That's true.
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: And if he's single, I know, get out there misconnection.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: If it were on the Swana, I could work for anyone.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: She's still married to the guy, never been happier, So
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: I believe it. I saw Listen walking down the aisle
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: full blown, and then someone there was footage of her
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: recently on a tour being like and then crying like
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: looking at him, I.
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: Was like, whoa, that is incredible.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: Good for her, really happy for her.
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: Well, yeah, we love her and Catherine of you and
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: your brother in law.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: Happy birthday.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: Happy birthday to him, and hopefully send him some food
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: and then say you'll take him on a swamp tour.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: I think that's fun.
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: If you already took him on a swamp to he's
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: probably hooked.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: He probably wants to go on another.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: We answered the question perfectly.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: I'm scared of a swamp tour. Alligators.
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: No, alligators are very top of my list of terrify.
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: I was like about alligators in therapy yesterday.
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: Have you ever seen one in person? No?
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: But I had a dream? Oh, I mean young and analysis.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: We'll talk about dreams a lot.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: What happened to the within the dream today?
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: Sometimes alligators appear for me and the primordial mother m
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: the alligator. You know what's lurking underneath the service that
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: can suddenly explode and.
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: Can follow and thrash, and they scare me. Yeah, of
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: course I.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: Am not unique in that they're scary, But something about like,
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: sometimes I watch videos of them. I kind of like
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: want to feel the fear. There should be an alligator
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: horror movie.
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: I don't think anybody is really a lake plasid.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: I think that about a giant alligator. It's a great
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: alligator versus crocodile. What's the difference. Is it a gender thing?
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: I feel like a crocodile has a rounder snout while
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: the alligator has a more harper points smaller Yeah, can
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: kind of snatch you, while the crocodile is more like
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: chomps you. It's a science. Yeah, they're terrifying to me.
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: We had a lizard in the house recently.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: Baby alligator.
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: Gim was screaming. Yeah, I had it was adorable. It
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: was smaller than that's cute.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: The alligators don't scare me. I had an alligator, I
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: mean a lizard that came into the house hot day
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: in Los Angeles. Where was it laying on my cold
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: laptop on the top and take a load off? Just
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: the cold apple metal like I know.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: I was like, smart, someone should make beds out of
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: that so aluminum at oh beautiful. Well we answered the
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: question perfectly. I have my chocolates. I'm so glad you
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: could be here. When the misstic thank you for being here,
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: thank you for having me, and listener, the podcast is
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: over for screeching to a halt. I'm oddly warm. I
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: don't know what's happening in the studio today. I think
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: we need to I mean, unfortunately, it's too late for
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: the note. The next person who records in here will
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: be nice and breezy. We're sweating. We have to get
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: out of here. I love you, goodbye. I said, No
