- 0:04Hello and welcome back to the episode of Bands with Lorenzi.
- 0:06How are you all doing? Hope you're doing great.
- 0:08For today's episode, I want to talk about the latest couple in
- 0:11town and that is Tammy Otter Dollar and Mr Izzy Ajibadi.
- 0:20These two cover wedded. They had like 3 different
- 0:22ceremonies in three different countries costing over $17
- 0:28million and Nigerians are losing their minds because Tammy
- 0:34Otterdola who is a daughter of a billionaire in dollars, changed
- 0:39her name from Otterdola to Ajibadi.
- 0:42People are saying that if they are the ones or if they're in
- 0:47tennis shoes or if even if they're in Mr Easy's shoe, they
- 0:51would have taken the surname Otterdola.
- 0:53Now, after Tammy changed her name on social media, Nigerian
- 0:57men lost their minds. So different conversations on
- 1:04different social media platforms started happening where men are
- 1:07saying that ordinary drama that is from Okoro family who refused
- 1:15to change her name to maybe yesterday because she's saying
- 1:20that her father sent her to school so she cannot, you know,
- 1:23abandoned her surname. They're saying that look at Ote
- 1:29Dolla, tell me Ote Dolla is my getting married to Mr ISI.
- 1:34And quickly, quickly she changed her name.
- 1:37I think the, the thing people are forgetting to understand is
- 1:41that because the whole lot of conversations about submission
- 1:46was thrown into the mix, that women who refuse to change their
- 1:50names are not submissive. And I beg to differ because
- 1:54submission is not about, it's not necessarily about money.
- 1:58Yes, in the case of Mr Azie and case of M Tammy, you know, when
- 2:05you have money, when you grow up in money, I don't think you even
- 2:07see money. You don't because it's just it's
- 2:11just there. You know, it's just like
- 2:14somebody who is naturally endowed all your life, you've
- 2:18carried that those assets, weather front, weather back,
- 2:21you've carried it and and you wouldn't yes, some people flaunt
- 2:25it, but it wouldn't be it wouldn't shock you like somebody
- 2:28who just got a BBL, if that makes sense, who maybe just did
- 2:32their boobs or, you know, they would want to flaunt, you know,
- 2:38those assets because they bought it, they spent money, they
- 2:43grieved it, they wanted it and they paid to get it.
- 2:47So Teni or $10 has always no money.
- 2:55She's always been around money, around wealth and now getting
- 2:59married, she found somebody who is very intentional, who we've
- 3:05never heard anything about Mr Easy cheating or Mr Easy.
- 3:11There's no scandal. Yes, maybe these that may all
- 3:15relationship go through open ups and downs.
- 3:18Yes, maybe he must have cheated, but we never heard that is the
- 3:23difference. And then people started
- 3:25comparing their relationship to Davido and Sharma.
- 3:28I mean Mr Easy is a very successful musician.
- 3:30OK, not to the, you know, scale as Davido, but these are two
- 3:36successful people, musician or entertainers who are also
- 3:40business people. Now Truman Davido they spent
- 3:44about according to Davido 3,000,000 for their wedding and
- 3:48Davido also his father is in billionaire in dollars.
- 3:51So these are you can juxtapose these two people and see the
- 3:56difference, the difference why Tammy can easily make that
- 4:01decision to change her name because she is secure.
- 4:05She trusts her husband, Shuma. Would you say she's secure?
- 4:10Yes. You know, they give her
- 4:12assurance. They did every necessary thing.
- 4:16But we will not be shocked if we wake up tomorrow and we see the
- 4:20video in the news, kneeling down, begging a woman for Gucci.
- 4:26We will not be shocked because it has happened.
- 4:28We will not be shocked if Sophia comes out tomorrow and say the
- 4:33video spend the night in my house.
- 4:35We will not be shocked because that is the dynamic of their
- 4:38relationship. Chuma has not changed her name
- 4:41on social media. She is still chef She So the I
- 4:45think sometimes the the the main problem is people trying to
- 4:49compare things. Maybe Cooley in one corner
- 4:57cheating on, maybe Aisha doing everything possible to, to to
- 5:03to, you know, make sure that Aisha doesn't have peace and
- 5:07then propose to Aisha. And Aisha is saying, I am not
- 5:09changing my name. I will not change my surname.
- 5:11Because the way you're moving mad, maybe in the next 5 years
- 5:16you will bring another Fatima. And then I'll be like, OK, I'm
- 5:20not interested in this, you know, polygamous situation.
- 5:25So instead of her to now start changing back to her surname,
- 5:27she says no, I just want to be Aisha Ibrahim.
- 5:32I don't want to be Aisha maybe a day.
- 5:37So it depends on the dynamic of that relationship.
- 5:42I don't think any woman who is in a relationship with somebody
- 5:45who is sensible, with somebody who is intentional with somebody
- 5:49who, who has plans and who is ready to lead.
- 5:56I don't think that woman will not submit.
- 5:58She will submit. She will change her name.
- 6:02In fact, she will change her identity for you.
- 6:05But you see, we have a lot of people who are online talking
- 6:09about, you know, comparing apples to oranges.
- 6:12These are people who we, we've never heard any scandal from Mr
- 6:16Easy. They've been married.
- 6:18They've been dating for for a very long time and at some point
- 6:23they were even laughing at Tammy saying that she's just dating
- 6:27him. When would they get married in
- 6:29the centre of this whole thing? I pity Koopi because everybody's
- 6:34now on Koopi's case saying, you know, she's the other sister.
- 6:38What what is going on when she's going to find her own man?
- 6:41And she has been very vocal online saying that she's looking
- 6:45for a husband. Then what do you think?
- 6:47Do you think that people are right to say that women or this
- 6:52generation of women are not submissive because, you know,
- 6:56maybe our mother's generation, they were more submissive?
- 6:59Or do you think that just like Annie Debe, we were raised by
- 7:04women who had been through hell and high waters?
- 7:10And they're saying that my child or my daughter is not going to
- 7:14go through any of these things. And then women raised like that
- 7:22or ladies or girls raised with that ideology are now saying
- 7:26that they're not going to submit to men.
- 7:28Who are we going to blame in this situation?
- 7:31Are we going to blame the parents for telling their
- 7:35daughters not to be submissive because something had happened?
- 7:39If you look at Tammy or tell the last situation, her parents are
- 7:42married, they've always had money, regardless of what was
- 7:45going on. The father has always provided
- 7:47and the mother was submissive. That is the background she's
- 7:52coming from. So her father is not going to
- 7:54tell her to be submissive. Her mother is not going to tell
- 7:56her to be submissive. But then if you get somebody who
- 8:00is coming from a background where there is trauma and that
- 8:04mother is telling her daughter, don't go through what I went
- 8:08through, I was submissive to your father and I saw shake a
- 8:11bounza. Don't do it.
- 8:15Who are we going to blame? Are we going to blame our men of
- 8:20marriageable age who cannot settle for one person who is
- 8:26busy sowing their oats, who knows that, Who believe that
- 8:30they are the price? So they want peace, but they are
- 8:34not creating the peaceful atmosphere.
- 8:37And then anybody coming in saying that, yes, we can get
- 8:41married because I want children because my biological clock is
- 8:46ticking. So I am happy to, you know,
- 8:49entertain this union for a for a certain time because I know it's
- 8:54not going to last. And that person is refusing to
- 8:57change their identity or their surname.
- 9:00Who do we blame? Let me know your thoughts.
- 9:03Thank you very much for watching today's episode.
