- 0:00Have you ever had a premonition? A strange feeling or dream that
- 0:05something was going to happen, only to discover later that it
- 0:09actually did happen. And if you answered yes, then
- 0:13you are not alone. In today's video, we will be
- 0:16discussing several real instances where people's
- 0:19premonitions came true, whether for better or worse.
- 0:24Welcome to discover the unexplained.
- 0:54Could we really be receiving messages from a higher
- 0:57consciousness or intelligence other than our own?
- 1:01Many people, myself included, have experienced dreams or
- 1:05feelings of things to come, whether that's feeling reassured
- 1:09that what we're doing is the right path.
- 1:12Or whether that feeling is an impending sense of doom.
- 1:16Whether this phenomena is natural or supernatural.
- 1:20There have been several instances that truly make us
- 1:23wonder exactly what is causing this.
- 1:27Published in 1838, the narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym is Edgar
- 1:32Allen Poe's only complete full length novel.
- 1:35It tells the story of Arthur Pymm, a stowaway on a whaling
- 1:39ship. Mutiny, shipwreck and
- 1:42cannibalism follow, with the cabin boy, a character named
- 1:46Richard Parker, becoming a victim.
- 1:49It is Parker in the story who suggests that a crew member
- 1:53should be sacrificed to provide food for everyone else.
- 1:57As to which the crew proceeds to draw straws, he himself draws
- 2:01the shortest one. In a strange twist of fate,
- 2:05several decades later, an eerie incident of life imitating art
- 2:09occurred. In May of 1884, a ship called
- 2:13the Minion Net set sail from Southampton, heading for Sydney.
- 2:18The ship wrecked. When food supplies began to run
- 2:21out, the crew determined that a sacrifice had to be made.
- 2:25They also determined that they could draw straws to figure out
- 2:29exactly who would be sacrificed to feed the others.
- 2:34The cabin boy, a young man by the name of Richard Parker, drew
- 2:38the shortest straw and was Subsequentially killed and
- 2:43consumed. The ship would eventually be
- 2:45rescued in September of 1884, after which Captain Tom Dudley
- 2:51and crew made Edwin Stevens were tried in the case Regina versus
- 2:56Dudley and Stevens. Both were convicted of murder
- 3:00and sentenced to death, but would later have their sentences
- 3:03reduced to six months given their harrowing circumstances.
- 3:10So did Poe receive a vision of a tragedy that would occur in the
- 3:13future? Or was the whole thing just a
- 3:16strange coincidence? Could someone be aware of their
- 3:22own fate? What would happen to them?
- 3:25And if that someone was you. Would you want to know?
- 3:29Actress Sharon Tate once told a columnist and an interview for
- 3:33Fate magazine ironic as ever, as she once had a strange vision
- 3:38that she could see her own death.
- 3:41The vision occurred around 1967, when Tate was dating a celebrity
- 3:45hairstylist by the name of Jay Sebring.
- 3:49One night while Jay was traveling for work, she was
- 3:53sleeping at his home alone. A home that was once owned by
- 3:57Hollywood agent Paul Byrne, who had literally died in the house.
- 4:03She went on to explain that she began to have a funny feeling
- 4:06when trying to get some sleep, and although she believed she
- 4:09was fully awake at the time, she began to see figures materialize
- 4:14in her room. She saw a small, short man that
- 4:17would later describe Paul Byrne to a tee in the bedroom with
- 4:21her. Terrified, she ran out of the
- 4:24room and into the hallway. From here, Tate said that she
- 4:29saw someone or something tied to the staircase, and whatever it
- 4:34was, it had its throat cut. In a bizarre and sad event years
- 4:39later, both Sharon Tate and Jay Sebring would be murdered by the
- 4:43Manson family on August 9th of 1969.
- 4:48And although nobody appeared to have had their throat cut,
- 4:51multiple people who were killed that day were stabbed multiple
- 4:55times and hung as well. So did Sharon Tate predict her
- 5:00own demise? Well, that's up for you to
- 5:03decide. Joe Meek was a British music
- 5:07producer in the 1950s and was responsible for musical
- 5:11innovations such as sampling and overdubbing, and had worked with
- 5:15many rock stars at the time. He was also known for being
- 5:19strange and paranoid. He believed his apartment was
- 5:23bugged and that people were constantly trying to steal his
- 5:26instruments. Meek was also an avid
- 5:29practitioner of the occult. And one night in 1958, he and
- 5:35several of his friends were conducting a tarot card, reading
- 5:38and playing with the Ouija board.
- 5:40And the results of which were frightening.
- 5:44During the reading, one of the attendees began to frantically
- 5:47scribble down messages on a small notepad and Meek's living
- 5:51room. The message is read February the
- 5:553rd. Buddy Holly dies.
- 5:58Meeks, a huge Buddy Holly fan, was horrified.
- 6:03The following day, he immediately attempted to get the
- 6:05message to the singer as fast as he could.
- 6:09However, when February the third of 1958 passed without incident,
- 6:14Meek was relieved. Relieved, but still felt an
- 6:17impending sense of doom and that he had to get the message to
- 6:21Holly. After months of trying, Meek was
- 6:24finally successful. But upon finding out, Holly
- 6:28politely told him that he would be careful when the date came
- 6:31around and reassured the producer that all would be well.
- 6:36But it wasn't. The following year, Buddy Holly
- 6:40would tragically die in a plane crash on February the third of
- 6:441959. Along with pop stars Ritchie
- 6:48Valens and the Big Bopper. Years later, Meek and a fit of
- 6:53depression and insanity shot his landlord and then himself.
- 6:59This strangely also took place on February the 3rd, but of the
- 7:04year 1967. So was Joe Meek insane, or did
- 7:09he truly receive a message from a higher plane?
- 7:12This answer we may never know, but it's truly bizarre, isn't
- 7:16it? The producer would also claim in
- 7:19the years to come after Holly's death that he would be visited
- 7:22by the spirit of the singer regularly, who would offer him
- 7:26advice. And as to what advice, we'll
- 7:29also never know. So far, we have discussed
- 7:34several premonitions that involved people predicting
- 7:36death, something we as human beings are incredibly fascinated
- 7:41with. And why wouldn't we be?
- 7:44But this next story, although it involves tragedy, did save one
- 7:48life. 8 year old Kikyo Agora was happy and excited on August the
- 7:546th of 1945 when her father told her that she shouldn't go to
- 7:59school that day and for some strange reason he had a gut
- 8:03feeling that something might happen.
- 8:05But at the time, things probably didn't register with the young
- 8:09girl who went off to attend her studies.
- 8:13At around 8:15 AM, Kikyo was out in the street near her house
- 8:18when a sudden flash turned the entire sky white.
- 8:22And the young girl fainted. Upon returning to waking life,
- 8:27the world around her had descended Into Darkness.
- 8:31The sky was now blackened and so filled.
- 8:35Debris and carnage littered the world around her.
- 8:38And she slowly stumbled to her feet.
- 8:41And ran home. Upon approaching where her home
- 8:45once was, she now only found smoldering rooms.
- 8:50Hearing her little brother crying, Kigyo began to search
- 8:53and thankfully found him. The two then slowly made their
- 8:57way to the countryside, where it started to rain.
- 9:01But the typical clear drops of water.
- 9:04Were black. The world's first atomic bomb
- 9:07was dropped on Hiroshima on August the 6th of 1945 at
- 9:12approximately 8:15 AM. Kikyo Gora's fathers intuition
- 9:18had somehow delayed his daughter just enough to prevent her
- 9:21death. The explosion devastated over
- 9:2490% of the city and killed approximately 80,000 people, and
- 9:29thousands of others would later perish from radiation exposure.
- 9:35Do you think the girl's father somehow sensed that they were on
- 9:38the brink of a history changing moment?
- 9:41Or did a wise man just listen to his gut that day?
- 9:44Or are there more to these feelings?
- 9:47As with many mysteries in this vast world of ours, I think
- 9:50these examples and other instances of premonitions are
- 9:54just some of the strange things that we have yet to decode.
- 9:58And perhaps were not meant to decode.
- 10:00Perhaps some things are better left unexplained.

- 10:28And take care. Have you ever asked yourself if
- 10:39monsters truly exist? Have you ever wondered how one
- 10:44might become a monster? In the cold forests of North
- 10:48America, Native American folklore describes a dark and
- 10:52monstrous spirit that was once human.
- 10:55And it tells of how others might be transformed into this same
- 10:59terrifying creature. Join us on this episode of
- 11:03Discover the unexplained as we go into the woods.
- 11:09I scoured the forest searching for any firewood that I could
- 11:12find. Before I could grab a large
- 11:15enough bundle, the bushes behind me rustled.
- 11:18My hair stood on end. And I heard my name being
- 11:22called. But it couldn't figure out which
- 11:25direction it was coming from. The voice sounded like my
- 11:30sister, but she just recently left the camping trip, not even
- 11:33an hour ago. The voice sounded wrong, like an
- 11:38animal trying to copy a human. I dropped the bundle and I
- 11:43sprinted as fast as I could. Something crunched the twigs and
- 11:48leaves just behind me. Dogging my every step.
- 11:53I could feel a breath on the back of my neck.
- 11:56And when I finally reached the campsite is when the footsteps
- 11:59stopped. When I turned back around, I
- 12:04found nothing. It was evening when me and my
- 12:07parents finally left the campsite and I looked back from
- 12:11our car window and saw a figure standing at the tree line,
- 12:15staring at me with ghostly eyes. It had dark skin stretched over
- 12:20its body, almost like a corpse. But when I blinked, it vanished
- 12:27into thin air. There have been many such
- 12:32stories reported by those who have claimed to have encountered
- 12:35this mysterious creature known as the Wendigo.
- 12:39The Windigo originates from Native American folklore and
- 12:43both Canada and the Northern United States as a creature
- 12:47associated with famine winter. Death and cannibalism.
- 12:53The native ethnographer Basil Johnston described the creature
- 12:57as such. The Wendigo was gone to the
- 13:00point of emaciation. Its desiccated skin pulled
- 13:04tightly over its bones. With its bones pushing out over
- 13:08its skin. Its complexion, the ash Gray of
- 13:12death, and its eyes pushed back deep into its sockets.
- 13:17The Wendigo looked like a skeleton recently disinterred
- 13:21from a grave. What lips it had were tattered
- 13:25and bloody. Unclean and suffering from
- 13:28separations of the flesh. The Windigo gave off a strange
- 13:32and eerie odor of death and corruption.
- 13:36The Beast desire for human flesh can never be satisfied, for they
- 13:40are said to grow in proportion to every victim they devour.
- 13:44And they are always hungry. But how are windigos born?
- 13:48What horrible process could produce such a man eating
- 13:51monstrosity of supernatural origin?
- 13:55The answer may be found in the hearts of those the Windigo has
- 13:58claimed, both in story and in reality.
- 14:04The year was 1879 and Fort Saskatchewan, Canada.
- 14:09Those who knew swift runner described him as a likable and
- 14:13trustworthy man who loved his family and was especially fond
- 14:17of his six children. He originally was a guide for
- 14:21the Northwest Mounted Police, but was relieved of this
- 14:24position as a result of his alcoholism.
- 14:28After being expelled from his community, he ventured into the
- 14:32wilderness with his family and the winter of 1878.
- 14:37When Swift returned from the harsh winter in 1879 without his
- 14:41family. He was questioned on their
- 14:43whereabouts. And one witness stated, he said
- 14:47I could not expect to see any of his family because he was the
- 14:51only one left. During the winter he hadn't been
- 14:55able to find any food, so slowly but surely all his relatives had
- 15:00starved to death. Yet Swift runner looked neither
- 15:04malnourished or starved. And without a proper explanation
- 15:09of his family's absence, his in-laws got in touch with the
- 15:12mounted police. The police questioned him and
- 15:16forced him to lead them back to the winter campsite.
- 15:19Once there, he directed them to an undisturbed grave in the
- 15:23snow, where they found the remains of his oldest son, who
- 15:27swift runner had said died during the winter.
- 15:31However, one thing that was not so readily explained were the
- 15:35scattered human bones all over the site.
- 15:38Soon he revealed the events that took place during the fateful
- 15:42winter in 1878. At first he received terrible
- 15:47dreams where the Wendigo attacked him, trying to convince
- 15:51him to consume his family. He fought back for a time, but
- 15:56eventually he felt the spirit creep over his mind and take
- 16:00control. Soon Swift runner was no more.
- 16:04There was only one to go. Finally in control, the Wendigo
- 16:09killed and ate his wife. Then the spirit killed the rest
- 16:13of his family. And hung his young infant before
- 16:17devouring all of them. He was only 25 miles from food
- 16:21supplies and would later admit that he did it purely for the
- 16:25enjoyment of consuming human flesh.
- 16:29Horrified and disgusted by this revelation, the mounted police
- 16:33arrested swift runner and he was tried, found guilty and
- 16:37sentenced to death by hanging. On December 20th, Swift stood on
- 16:42the scaffold and said. I could kill myself with a
- 16:45tomahawk, he offered. And save the hangman.
- 16:48Further trouble. This event marked the first
- 16:51formal execution in Western Canada.
- 16:55As a result of cases of cannibalism like that of swift
- 16:58runner, some have coined the term Wendigo psychosis as a
- 17:02possible explanation for the culture bound phenomena of
- 17:06sudden cannibalism among some native peoples.
- 17:10Though this has been met with criticism and even outright
- 17:13mockery. But is it mere psychosis, or is
- 17:17there truly something supernatural present within
- 17:20these tales? The Wendigo has haunted pop
- 17:28culture for decades, with its familiar antlers popping up in
- 17:31horror movies and video games alike.
- 17:34But is the windego real? Encounters with the creature
- 17:38have been posted on sites like Reddit.
- 17:40With even more eyewitness testimonies like these, but
- 17:44neither can be confirmed easily, and all have similar elements to
- 17:48that of other frightening creatures said to haunt the
- 17:50forest of the world. Other creatures such as dogmen,
- 17:55goatmen, and even Skinwalkers. The feeling of being watched, of
- 18:00that, of a strange, emaciated creature, makes siding of these
- 18:04beings almost demonic in nature. Whether they are truly physical
- 18:08beings or spirits capable of possession is anyone's guess.
- 18:14One thing that is for certain is that the Wendigo originates from
- 18:18folklore, where its presence describes a taboo against greed,
- 18:22gluttony and cannibalism among tribes.
- 18:26That certainly would have a good reason to prevent their
- 18:29existence. Early contact with these tribes
- 18:32from European settlers even compared the Windigo to that of
- 18:36a similar creature of their own folklore, the werewolf.
- 18:41But similar to that of the werewolf, can we say that such
- 18:44an otherworldly monster really exists?
- 18:48Or is it just another way of illustrating the beast that
- 18:51dwells within man himself? Perhaps some things will just
- 18:55have to stay unexplained. In human history, only two
- 19:01nuclear accidents have ever been raided at the maximum level of
- 19:06severity. One was the 2011 Fukushima
- 19:11disaster that affected Japan. The other was the Chernobyl
- 19:16meltdown of 1986. The tragedy sent ripples around
- 19:21the world and is arguably the worst nuclear disaster of all
- 19:26time. However, there is a lesser known
- 19:30aspect to the event in the form of the seemingly supernatural
- 19:34signs that occurred both before and after the fateful accident.
- 19:39Today we will be discovering the unexplained as we explore the
- 19:44ghost of Chernobyl. Here on mystery archives.
- 19:53Located in the settlement of Pripyat and northern Ukraine,
- 19:58the Chernobyl power station was built by the Soviets around
- 20:021980. The station had four reactors,
- 20:06each capable of producing 1000 megawatts of electrical power on
- 20:12April 26th, 1986. Workers at reactor Unit 4
- 20:18attempted an experiment. The experiment was designed in
- 20:22part to test the reactors emergency safety systems.
- 20:26However, due to a series of compounding mistakes and poor
- 20:31decisions, this led to increasing instability of the
- 20:35reactor. At approximately 123 AM the
- 20:41reactor exploded, the heavy steel and concrete lid of the
- 20:46reactor was blown off and the fire raged in the graphite.
- 20:51Reactor core releasing radioactive matter into the
- 20:55atmosphere and causing a meltdown.
- 20:59The effects in the immediate vicinity of the reactor resulted
- 21:03in around 50 deaths due to the explosion.
- 21:07The radiation in the atmosphere was several times that of the
- 21:11atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
- 21:15As a result, thousands of people were forced to evacuate from the
- 21:19surrounding areas. But even still, cancers and
- 21:23radiation sickness caused even more casualties.
- 21:28The true scale of the adverse effects resulting from the
- 21:31meltdown has been difficult to determine due to just how many
- 21:35people the radiation might have reached.
- 21:38Contamination of the area resulted in the Soviet Union
- 21:42declaring an exclusion zone and building a sarcophagus around
- 21:47the reactor, which still stands to this day.
- 21:51But is there more than meets the eye to this real world disaster?
- 21:56In the days leading up to the incident, workers at Reactor 4
- 22:01saw something terrifying and the sky.
- 22:05They described it as a black creature, almost like a bird,
- 22:09with red eyes and no head. After the explosion, workers
- 22:15thought they saw some kind of beast flying in the smoke clouds
- 22:19just above the reactor. Witnesses who saw first hand
- 22:24said that they had terrible nightmares afterwards,
- 22:27threatening phone calls. And even more personal
- 22:31experiences with the creature. Once the disaster had passed,
- 22:36however, no further sightings were reported.
- 22:40Speculation as to the nature of the creature has unavoidably
- 22:44come to the same conclusion that the Blackbird of Chernobyl was
- 22:49perhaps the creature known to Point Pleasant as the Mothman.
- 22:53The Mothman is an almost mythical being associated with
- 22:57the infamous Silver bridge collapse in 1967.
- 23:01It is seen as a terrible omen of misfortune.
- 23:04Death and disaster. Whether any of these stories are
- 23:09true remains to be seen, as the presence of the Mothman around
- 23:13Chernobyl would be easy to point to but difficult, if not
- 23:18impossible to prove. But what else lurks in the
- 23:22shadows of the exclusion zone? Experiences by those who have
- 23:28ventured into the zone have included feelings of being
- 23:31watched, apparitions and shadows.
- 23:36Sci-fi's destination, Truth, investigated the exclusion zone
- 23:40in 2009, where they caught figures on thermal imaging
- 23:44equipment and multiple abandoned buildings.
- 23:49Andre Korsakov, a nuclear physicist from the University of
- 23:53Buffalo, visited the site in 1997, and he also gave an
- 23:58account of what he witnessed. I arrived with the abandoned
- 24:03power station at about 7:30 AM. I proceeded directly to the
- 24:09reactor for Sarcophagus where the explosion took place.
- 24:14I could not enter due to the radiation.
- 24:17I stood by the entrance, taking radiation readings.
- 24:21I know that no one could be inside the old reactor core, but
- 24:25I could hear a very distinct sound of someone screaming for
- 24:29help, shouting that there was a fire inside.
- 24:33I ran upstairs to tell someone, but they said when I entered the
- 24:37reactor control room, I was the first person to open that door
- 24:42in three years. And the only way to get inside
- 24:45the old reactor is through the doors I came in through.
- 24:49If someone had gone inside the reactor when I was not looking,
- 24:53they would have tripped an alarm that goes off when the reactor
- 24:56doors opened mechanically. The reactor door requires a
- 25:00password and a handprint, yet someone or something.
- 25:05Was inside. Later that evening, as we were
- 25:08eating dinner outside the building by the river next to
- 25:12the plant, a floodlight turned on in one of the rooms of the
- 25:15installation. There was no way anyone could be
- 25:19inside. And as we ate, we figured there
- 25:22was just a power surge or something.
- 25:24Then, just as my colleague said that the light turned off.
- 25:31In contrast to the sinister phenomena, there is in fact
- 25:34peculiar occurrences of a different nature within this
- 25:38region. Saint Elias Orthodox Church is
- 25:41the only operational church within the exclusion zone.
- 25:46The original church was built out of wood in the 1500s and
- 25:50lasted until 1872. When it burned down and a stone
- 25:55church was built in its place. Soviets attempted to destroy the
- 25:59church both in 1930 and in 1941, but were unsuccessful.
- 26:06Services would eventually resume in 1944 and continued till the
- 26:11Chernobyl accident where they were halted until the late
- 26:151990s. Looters reportedly attempted to
- 26:19tear open the doors of the church after the accident with a
- 26:23cable attached to a tractor. As they tried to pull on the
- 26:27doors, the cable burst and seriously injured one of the
- 26:31robbers, leaving their scheme unfulfilled.
- 26:36Prior to the reactor explosion, fishermen and the Pripyat River
- 26:41claimed to see a massive fireball of light erupt above
- 26:44the church. The church is also known for the
- 26:48fact that has always had extremely low levels of
- 26:51radiation, according to the President of the Ukrainian
- 26:55Chernobyl Union, Yuri Andropov, in a 2011 interview.
- 27:01Even during the most difficult days of 1986, the area around
- 27:06the Saint Elijah Church was clean.
- 27:08Not to mention that the church itself was also clean of
- 27:12radiation. A few seconds after the
- 27:14explosion in the fourth unit of the Chernobyl power plant, the
- 27:19cloud containing uranium particles started moving in the
- 27:22direction of Patriot, the city located 1800 meters from the
- 27:27plant. There was a pine tree in its way
- 27:31and the clouds stopped short of this pine divided into 2 parts
- 27:35by some unknown cause and continued moving to left and
- 27:40right sides of the city instead of covering its residential
- 27:44areas. The radiation level and
- 27:46contamination areas was four or five rentgen per hour, and the
- 27:52city showed only half a Miller into June.
- 27:55The tree he is referring to has quite a history of its own as
- 27:59well. During World War Two, the tree
- 28:02was used by Nazis to hang Russian soldiers and partisans,
- 28:07thus giving it the name the partisan tree.
- 28:11The tree did in fact stand between the city and the plants.
- 28:16And the radiation cloud did split in half when it reached
- 28:19the tree behind it, half the forest turned red and died from
- 28:24the radiation. While the other half remained
- 28:28living. A decade prior to the incident,
- 28:32citizens within Pripyat claim to see an image of the Virgin Mary
- 28:36in the sky above, giving a blessing with two bundles of
- 28:40warm wood and each hand. A special icon was made not too
- 28:44long after this event, and this is not the only unique vision
- 28:49leading to the Commission and blessing of an icon associated
- 28:53with a disaster. During the disaster, Yuri
- 28:57Andreoff, a staunch Communist Party member, was exposed to
- 29:01high levels of radiation. During the efforts to clear the
- 29:05rubble, he was hospitalized with terminal radiation sickness as a
- 29:10result. He claimed to receive a vision
- 29:14to create an icon and called to speak with the local
- 29:17metropolitan Bishop at the time, who gave his blessing for its
- 29:22creation. The icon depicts Jesus Christ
- 29:26with the Virgin Mary and the Archangel Michael.
- 29:31There in the clouds and below them are doctors, construction
- 29:34workers and others who survived the disaster, and those who lost
- 29:39their lives cloaked on the left. The tower of the power plant
- 29:44rises in the background, and between the horizon and the
- 29:48people stands the partisan tree in the shape of a cross.
- 29:53The star overhead and the scrolling Christ hand references
- 29:57the Book of Revelations. And there fell a great star.
- 30:01From heaven burning, as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the
- 30:05third part of the rivers and on the springs of water.
- 30:10The name of the star is Wormwood, and the third part of
- 30:14the waters became Wormwood, and many men died of the waters
- 30:19because they were made bitter. For those of you who may not
- 30:24know, Chernobyl and Ukrainian means Wormwood.
- 30:30The icon was blessed in 2003, and at the moment of its
- 30:34blessing a dove flew over the icon, and before hundreds of
- 30:39witnesses the sign of the cross allegedly appeared in the sky
- 30:43above. Just after this, Yuri Andreyev,
- 30:47who had remained in the hospital since the disaster, miraculously
- 30:52recovered. The icon was then given in
- 30:55solidarity to Japan in 2011 following the earthquake,
- 31:00tsunami and damage to their nuclear power plants.
- 31:04And another strange happening the Church of Saint Michael the
- 31:08Archangel, which sits near the village of Crossnoe, was also
- 31:12the site of a strange phenomena. Between 2005 and 2009, members
- 31:19of the Chernobyl police began to tell stories of seeing a light.
- 31:23From within the abandoned church, along with an angelic
- 31:27singing that would vanish as quickly as it had come.
- 31:31However, the claims of it being abandoned don't hold too much
- 31:35weight considering that there is recent footage of the church
- 31:39with various items being maintained.
- 31:43The Saint Elias Church has continued its services for the
- 31:46faithful and the zone since 2001.
- 31:50And every year there was a bell of sorrow that rings on April
- 31:5426th to mark the anniversary of the disaster.
- 32:00Chernobyl is a tragedy that in many ways redefined how we view
- 32:05and handle nuclear energy. It is also an event that has
- 32:09spawned its own mythos and legacy, with many venturing into
- 32:13the zone to explore its contents.
- 32:17Though we've spoken about the rumors surrounding the
- 32:19supernatural happenings and even some of the alleged miracles.
- 32:24It is important to keep in mind that the dangers both old and
- 32:28new are very real. And that the lives lost can
- 32:32never be given back. While I would say that one could
- 32:36arrange to explore the zone, the current war between Russia and
- 32:40Ukraine is still ongoing and I certainly would not recommend
- 32:45travelling into an act of war zone.
- 32:49Our hearts here of mystery archives go out to all of those
- 32:52who have lost their lives both during the tragedy and in the
- 32:57current situation. That being said.
- 33:01As per the supernatural phenomena, what do you think?
- 33:05Was the phenomena real? Let me know down in the comments
- 33:09below. The desperate screams of
- 33:12children and thick black smoke filled the air as dozens of
- 33:17onlookers stare and horror. The old orphanage is soon
- 33:22reduced to a pile of glowing embers that slowly extinguish.
- 33:28Were the souls of the children extinguished with them?
- 33:32Or do they cry out from beyond the grave?
- 33:36Today, here on Mystery Archives, we explore this nightmarish
- 33:40tragedy and tell the untold story of Gore Orphanage.
- 33:56The year was 1902 and a religious zealot named Reverend
- 34:00Johan Sprunger decided to establish an orphanage on Gore
- 34:04Rd. And the Vermilion area.
- 34:08He and his wife, Katharina, had moved to Ohio after their prior
- 34:12orphanage had burned down and burn Indiana.
- 34:17Although was located on Gore Rd, the actual name of the orphanage
- 34:22was light of hope, although its name would not fit its future
- 34:27reputation. The new orphanage consisted of
- 34:31four sets of farm buildings covering a total of 543 acres.
- 34:38A magnificent Greek style mansion now sat abandoned on the
- 34:42property as well, and it too had a strange and tragic back story.
- 34:48Originally built by a man named Joseph Swift in the 19th
- 34:51century, it housed elaborate furnishings, ornate woodwork and
- 34:56marble columns. But happiness soon turned to
- 35:00tragedy when Swift's 5 year old daughter suddenly passed away.
- 35:05And within a matter of months, his 24 year old son would also
- 35:09pass. Shortly after both of these
- 35:12terrible happenings, the Swift family investments began to dry
- 35:16up. Forcing Joseph to sell his
- 35:19onestream home to a man named Nicholas Wilbur, who was a
- 35:23renowned spiritualist. Mysterious rituals and seances
- 35:28were said to have been conducted regularly in the secluded
- 35:32mansion. Conjuring up the spirits of
- 35:35deceased children, the spirits were said to inhabit a
- 35:39particular room within the mansion itself.
- 35:42And that Wilbur's own children or sidekick and could
- 35:46communicate with them on a regular basis.
- 35:50Tragedy would also be fall Wilbur as well.
- 35:53Four of his grandchildren would die at the mansion during a
- 35:57diphtheria epidemic. The mansion was then abandoned
- 36:01in 1901, roughly one year prior to Sprunger purchasing the land.
- 36:07Sprunger did not, however, try to use this mansion as part of
- 36:11his orphanage. He decided to utilize it as part
- 36:15of a self-sustaining religious community instead.
- 36:19It housed a small Chapel and a printing press, proudly stamping
- 36:23Bibles and other religious texts printed there with light of
- 36:27hope. The orphanage grew to be quite
- 36:30large population wise. It housed over 100 children at
- 36:34any given time. Boys lived in a farm called the
- 36:38Hughes Farm, while the girls lived at the Howard Farm.
- 36:42But rumours of darkness and despair would begin to plague
- 36:45light of hope. Orphans frequently ran away from
- 36:49the home, often wading through the Vermillion River to escape.
- 36:54And many children soon told horrific stories of abuse,
- 36:58neglect and slave labor. They described their diet,
- 37:03consisting of calves, lungs, hog heads and sick cattle, if they
- 37:08were fed at all. Their food was also often cooked
- 37:12in the same pots that were used for boiling undergarments.
- 37:16And the allegations didn't stop here.
- 37:19They would go on to describe rat infested quarters, where the
- 37:22children lived, and how the rats would often bite children as
- 37:26they tried to sleep. The children also only had one
- 37:30tub per farm to bathe in, and they could only bathe every two
- 37:35weeks and had to use the same water as the other children.
- 37:41Sprunger would also apparently rent the children out to
- 37:44neighbouring farms as labourers for a price, and would beat the
- 37:49children with a thick leather strap if any of them dared to
- 37:53step out of line. Illness was apparently only
- 37:57treated via prayer and the children didn't receive a proper
- 38:01education as they were meant to. In 1909, the formal
- 38:07investigation was conducted by the state of Ohio.
- 38:10But because there were no laws on the books at the time, they
- 38:14failed to be able to do anything about the situation.
- 38:18The SPRANGERS would ultimately admit to many of the allegations
- 38:22that were lobbied against them. The fate of light of hope would
- 38:26soon come to fruition, however. Mr Sprunger died just two years
- 38:31after the conclusion of the investigation.
- 38:34Leading to the closure of the orphanage in 1916 after years of
- 38:39financial troubles. The children would be dispersed
- 38:43throughout the local community and or returned to any relatives
- 38:48that would take them. But unlike the infamous legend,
- 38:52there is actually no evidence of the orphanage burning down
- 38:55whatsoever. But there is an eerily similar
- 38:59event that happened about 40 miles away from where light of
- 39:02Hope is located. Shortly before the orphanage
- 39:06investigation and 1908, a disaster took place in the town
- 39:11of Collingwood. The school mysteriously caught
- 39:15fire and caused the deaths of 176 students and four adults.
- 39:22These poor souls either burned to death or were trampled in the
- 39:26ensuing chaos. According to witnesses, the
- 39:30children attempted to exit the building through the main
- 39:33stairwell, but it was already blocked by flames.
- 39:38The majority then tried to make their way to the rear exit of
- 39:41the school, but it was unfortunately locked, crammed
- 39:45together with little to no room to move.
- 39:48The fire swept from hallway to hallway, consuming all in its
- 39:52path. The cries of the children
- 39:55disturbed desperate parents and onlookers who could do nothing
- 39:59to save them. After the tragedy, the school's
- 40:03janitor would be accused of setting the blaze, but was later
- 40:06proven innocent. He himself lost four children in
- 40:10the fire and was terribly burned trying to rescue one.
- 40:15And for a time he was detained by the police in protective
- 40:18custody to keep the residents from lynching him.
- 40:23This terrible and very real event is what more than likely
- 40:26inspired the tall tales of Gore Orphanage.
- 40:30Perhaps the details were mixed up or interwoven for one reason
- 40:35or another. It could be that after the fire,
- 40:38many families from Collinwood moved away, many of them to
- 40:42where light of hope was located at the time.
- 40:45The fire itself brought an end to the town of Collinwood,
- 40:49leading to its annexation into Cleveland just two years after
- 40:53the tragedy. Although Gore orphanage or light
- 40:57of hope also shared a dark past, it would also experience a fire,
- 41:02but one much different than the legend.
- 41:05After its abandoned men, it quickly became a dwelling ground
- 41:08for teenagers and troublemakers. The Swift mansion soon became
- 41:13covered in graffiti. And would be burned down in
- 41:161923, more than likely by the same culprits.
- 41:21This is what remains of the site today.
- 41:25And although there is no evidence of anyone passing away
- 41:28during the days of light of Hope Orphanage, there certainly is a
- 41:32dark past and multiple deaths that have taken place upon the
- 41:35land. The dark rituals and seances
- 41:39conducted within the Swift mansion and in of itself could
- 41:42have conjured something into this world that shouldn't be
- 41:45here. And since it's abandonment, a
- 41:49lot of paranormal activity has been reported in or around the
- 41:52site apparitions. Disembodied voices.
- 41:57Balls of light. Screams and ghostly handprints
- 42:02are just some of the strange paranormal activity that has
- 42:06been reported on Gore Orphanage Road and whatever the case may
- 42:10be, whether the stories are true or false.
- 42:14One can say with certainty that given the dark events of the
- 42:17land that we're aware of, it's not surprising that this legend
- 42:21continues to live on today, and that Gore Orphanage has earned
- 42:26its spot in history as Ohio's most haunted destination.
- 42:33Hidden away within the Andes mountains near Lima, Peru, there
- 42:38lies a plateau that is inundated with mystery.
- 42:43The area is home to multiple massive granite rocks that
- 42:47resemble those of human faces, animals and religious symbols
- 42:53that no one truly knows if they were carved or naturally formed.
- 42:58And this isn't the only strange thing about this place.
- 43:02The skies are filled with unidentified flying objects, the
- 43:07spectres of bizarre cryptids, and even reports of a portal
- 43:12that can allow one to travel through time and other
- 43:15dimensions. This is an episode you certainly
- 43:19won't want to miss, so join me as I explore the untold story of
- 43:25the Markawasi Stone forest here on mystery archives.
- 43:35The Markawasi Stone Forest is located on a mountain range that
- 43:39sits nearly 4000 meters high and the horrid Shuri Province east
- 43:44of Lima, Peru. This plateau is shrouded and
- 43:49many levels of mystery and makes one ponder many questions.
- 43:55The first of which is just who or what made these massive stone
- 44:00structures. There are many different
- 44:02formations alleged to have been found.
- 44:04Within the forest, these range from human faces and figures to
- 44:11animals and even religious figures as well, religious
- 44:15figures that are not native to the area.
- 44:19But there is much, much more to unpack here than just what's on
- 44:23the surface. Many of the formations seem to
- 44:27represent different races and animals not found within the
- 44:31vicinity of where the plateaus located.
- 44:35Among these include the likes of toads, dogs and condors, which
- 44:40are all indigenous to the area and can be found here.
- 44:45But animals that are not indigenous are also found within
- 44:48the forest as well, and these include massive carvings of
- 44:52walruses, Campbells, lions. A polar bear, alligators,
- 44:59turtles, and what even appears to be a stegosaurus, some of
- 45:04which are over 25 feet tall. Along with many different
- 45:08animals, there are also the faces and figures of humans.
- 45:13One noteworthy specimen is A3 story tall human head, which
- 45:18seems to be carved from a single boulder, with other figures
- 45:23descending down a Cliff that drops 1000 feet.
- 45:27If these were deliberate carvings, the sheer level of
- 45:30craftsmanship and labor required to make such figures would be no
- 45:35meager feat, even by today's standards with modern tools, let
- 45:40alone thousands of years in the distant past.
- 45:44But just who could have carved them?
- 45:47And what was this all supposed to mean?
- 45:50Many origin stories for the formations exist, one of which
- 45:54is provided to us by the local people who live there.
- 45:59According to the native Indians, these aren't natural formations.
- 46:04These are statues. Statues that were provided by
- 46:08beams of a higher intelligence than man.
- 46:12The beings allegedly came from inside the earth.
- 46:15Whether they lived there, is speculated by some and some kind
- 46:20of inner earth, or simply materialized from another
- 46:24dimension is up for debate. But what the native andeans do
- 46:29tell us is that along with providing the statues, these
- 46:33beings also taught them many valuable lessons and blessed
- 46:37them with a higher knowledge. Although they have never
- 46:41described just who these beings were or what they even looked
- 46:45like, these beings are makers, as albeit referring to them,
- 46:50were often also called Shaman. Among many of the figures found
- 46:55throughout the plateau, there is one that is perplexing to say
- 46:59the least, and one such figure appears to bear striking
- 47:04resemblance to an ancient Egyptian goddess.
- 47:08The Egyptian goddess is. Out of towers or towers, the
- 47:13goddess of childbirth and maternity.
- 47:17Her form is that of an upright female human with hippopotamus
- 47:21characteristics. We seem to see a very prominent
- 47:25female face while examining this figure here.
- 47:29But although Peruvian and Egyptian civilizations were two
- 47:32of mankind's earliest, they were never known to have ties to one
- 47:36another. So how would it be that this
- 47:39massive sculpture of an Egyptian goddess exists in the mountains
- 47:43of Peru? Another mystery is that of the
- 47:47three stories tall human head carving I mentioned previously.
- 47:52Apparently this particular piece represents the different races
- 47:56of the world speaking in a muted silence as one perhaps claiming
- 48:02that all people were one at one point within mankind's history.
- 48:08But that, of course, is also up for interpretation.
- 48:12These strange figures provide us with more questions than answers
- 48:17and now haunt the mists that shroud the plateau of this lost
- 48:21world. Attempting to answer some of the
- 48:24questions posed already, I researched what the
- 48:28archaeological community has had to say in regards to the stone
- 48:32forest, and really for the most part they aren't yet able to
- 48:37explain the majority of the formations.
- 48:40The simplest explanation is that they are naturally formed
- 48:44through weatherization and just happened to look like said
- 48:47faces, figures and animals. This phenomena is known as
- 48:54paradolia, the tendency for humans to see patterns that
- 48:58aren't really there, and although this is indeed
- 49:02possible, there is also substantial evidence of early
- 49:06human settlement there. So who's to say that perhaps
- 49:10they didn't have? Hand and creating these figures
- 49:14and this also leads us to another mystery, the mystery of
- 49:19a lost civilization. Among the various figures or
- 49:23formations, however you choose to look at them, there are also
- 49:27ruins of an ancient civilization, far older than the
- 49:31Inca, that also used to call Peru their home much later.
- 49:36Considering what appear to be people, animals and deities not
- 49:41native to the area appearing ever so far from where they
- 49:44originate from, the only other logical explanation would be
- 49:49that of a lost civilization, a pre Columbian culture that had
- 49:54transoceanic ties. Something of this nature has
- 49:58been speculated upon by many researchers and philosophers
- 50:02over the years, but is yet to be proven.
- 50:06To somewhat add to this theory of the ancient ruins I
- 50:09previously mentioned, there is what appears to be an ancient
- 50:13city located near where the stones can be found.
- 50:16These were first believed to be remnants of the early Inca given
- 50:20the area and time frame. However, this now appears to not
- 50:24be the case since the ruins date much older than known Inca
- 50:28settlement and occupation. Although the Inca were very
- 50:32advanced for their time, they weren't known for making statues
- 50:36or carvings like these either. If they are indeed those and not
- 50:41formations, that is. Another strange detail about the
- 50:45stones as well is that many of them are only viewable from
- 50:49certain areas and at certain times.
- 50:53Others appear to change forms as one moves or as light changes.
- 50:58Perhaps from one race of a face to another, which is very
- 51:03interesting indeed. And if this was the intention of
- 51:07whoever made them, if they were made, just what were they trying
- 51:11to tell us? Like an unfolding novel, the
- 51:15mystery surrounding the Stone Forest only continues to be
- 51:19written among the strange figures, ancient ruins, and
- 51:24whispers of another time. There seems to be a unique
- 51:27energy that emanates throughout Markawasi.
- 51:31Adding to this energy is the existence of numerous tulpas, or
- 51:36tombs found on the plateau. They often are neatly
- 51:40constructed out of stone blocks with expert precision.
- 51:44And others utilize natural overhangs or shallow caves.
- 51:49Perhaps designating the person's status or importance, depending
- 51:54on how they were buried. Bodies were bound and mummified
- 51:58according to religious practices.
- 52:01What's interesting to note here is that mummification.
- 52:05The construction of pyramids, king burial with the pyramids
- 52:09and shifting statues, but all be things that the native Andean
- 52:13peoples and the Egyptians would have in common, although they
- 52:17were over 7400 miles away from one another.
- 52:22And considering the theories about Egypt and the fact that a
- 52:25statue of what appears to be an Egyptian goddess was found
- 52:28within the Stone forest. This in and of itself makes for
- 52:32an extremely interesting mystery, and one that perhaps
- 52:36will never be solved, since the knowledge has more than likely
- 52:39been lost to the sands of time. But as noted by many who have
- 52:44visited, there seems to be the feeling of a strange energy
- 52:49emanating from the plateau itself.
- 52:52Could this energy be attracting extraterrestrial life?
- 52:57Over the years, hundreds of supposed sightings of UFOs have
- 53:01taken place at the Markawasi Stone Forest and the nearby
- 53:06surrounding area. These have become so commonplace
- 53:11that it's prompted Peru to reopen its office of UFO
- 53:14investigation. While many of the official
- 53:17reports are classified, often stated as an issue of national
- 53:22security, there is one extraordinary story that was
- 53:26apparently experienced by the President of Peru at the time.
- 53:31A former commander named Hulio Kamaro stated in a rare
- 53:35interview with the BC that then President Fujimori was on a
- 53:39fishing trip within the Markazi lagoons with his full security
- 53:44entourage. When the luminous sphere rose
- 53:47from the water and hovered over the boats, before then shooting
- 53:52off into space at an unimaginable speed.
- 53:56This experience and multiple military sightings and
- 54:00encounters were apparently what prompted the office being
- 54:04reopened. As to what could seem to be
- 54:08drawing these objects to the stone forest and the surrounding
- 54:12areas remains to be seen. Or could they have been there
- 54:16from the beginning? Lying and waiting to reemerge.
- 54:21UFOs aren't the only strangeness that's witnessed here.
- 54:25Stories of cryptids and spirits are also commonplace among the
- 54:30mists of the mountains. One such creature is known as
- 54:35the Grey Giant. It is described as a tall, grey
- 54:38humanoid figure with long arms and legs and has been seen
- 54:43numerous times around the stone forest.
- 54:47This is alleged footage that was taken of the creature by nearby
- 54:50residents several years ago. Is this an extraterrestrial or
- 55:01something left behind by one? Or could it be one of the makers
- 55:05the native Indians spoke about when describing how the stones
- 55:09came to be? Another interesting phenomena
- 55:13that's been experienced here is that of spirits, or translucent
- 55:18beings. Many visitors have reported not
- 55:21only seeing ghostly apparitions, but feeling or being pushed by
- 55:25them as well. Local residents describe them as
- 55:30ghosts and say they are the spirits of the people who used
- 55:34to inhabit the forest. They often also materialize as
- 55:39bright and distant lights, usually glowing white or red.
- 55:44This is one such story of a traveler who visited in 2010
- 55:49with a group of friends, and it seems to capture multiple things
- 55:53that I've mentioned thus far. On the first night camping out,
- 55:58the campsite was about 700 meters away from the last town
- 56:02we all saw ghost, a person all in bright white, floating from
- 56:08the cemetery and the direction of the nearest town at 1:00 AM
- 56:12in the morning take into account.
- 56:15For the cold at night, nobody in the Highlands leaves home after
- 56:198:00 PM on day two. During the walkings, the group
- 56:23experienced the presence of someone behind them, walking at
- 56:27a close distance all the time. Or we're seeing someone walking
- 56:31in the distance that suddenly disappeared.
- 56:35We were told by the nearby people of the town that these
- 56:39also were ghosts by night time. On the same day, red lights in
- 56:44the distance were moving on the nearby hills, but in a zone
- 56:48where no towns or houses were located.
- 56:51We checked this the next morning.
- 56:53Constant discharging of batteries from cameras with no
- 56:57apparent reason. Then, finally, UFOs were clearly
- 57:02seen by everyone in the group moving on the skies slowly at
- 57:06first. Than as fast as shooting stars
- 57:10and changing directions all the time.
- 57:13There were many and they even got super close to us.
- 57:17So close that we could see the roundness of the object.
- 57:21We were so freaked out that we turned off the lanterns right
- 57:25after the object vanished. Could these spirits or ghosts
- 57:30perhaps not be the remnants of those who once occupied this
- 57:33place? Could they perhaps be beings
- 57:37from another dimension, or people existing within another
- 57:40realm of reality? Could there be doors between our
- 57:44world? And something else.
- 57:48There are reports, and one such story in particular, that makes
- 57:52us ask these questions and much more.
- 57:56An anonymous patient, due to the confidentiality protocols, came
- 58:01to see a doctor by the name of Raul Centino and Lima, Peru.
- 58:07She came to see him in a distressing state of partial
- 58:10paralysis. Her condition was described as
- 58:14hemiplegia, where 1/2 of the human body is paralyzed.
- 58:19But the stated condition didn't seem to make sense after tests
- 58:23had been ran. Upon undergoing a CAT scan, no
- 58:27visible signs of brain trauma or swelling, the causes of
- 58:31hemiplegia were present. Already baffled by what he was
- 58:36seeing developing his patient's case, the doctor was even more
- 58:40taken aback when she began to describe what happened.
- 58:43The woman had apparently recently been hiking near the
- 58:46Marcozzi Stone Forest with some friends.
- 58:49And as they approach where they were going to set up camp, the
- 58:53group began to hear music drifting towards them from the
- 58:56mountains. After some walking, upon closer
- 58:59examination, they noticed a small stone cabin lit from the
- 59:03inside with torches, and they witnessed what appeared to be
- 59:07figures dancing around inside. Approaching further out of sheer
- 59:11curiosity, the patient began to feel a strange coldness overtake
- 59:16her body, but pushing through upon peering inside the
- 59:20building, the woman claimed to have seen occupants clad in 17th
- 59:24century clothing or older. Like she was watching a history
- 59:29documentary of some sort. But in reality, as she attempted
- 59:34to step into the house, she only made it halfway before she was
- 59:37pulled back by a friend who was very scared and had a bad
- 59:41feeling about the entire experience from here.
- 59:45Within a matter of minutes, the deathly feeling of numbness
- 59:49overtook half of the woman's body, the same half that had
- 59:53managed to make it into the strange house.
- 59:56After the ensuing panic and transportation, the woman was
- 1:00:00then brought to the doctor. After this consultation, the
- 1:00:03woman then began intensive physical rehabilitation and a
- 1:00:07National Hospital located in Lima.
- 1:00:10Her recovery status from here remains unknown.
- 1:00:14Could there really be portals or time slips in this world?
- 1:00:19Glimpses into the past as if it's existing side by side with
- 1:00:23you? Could this be through a
- 1:00:25wormhole, a rip in time, or access to another dimension?
- 1:00:31These questions. And more come to mind when
- 1:00:33pondering just exactly what this woman, and I'm sure several
- 1:00:37others, have experienced within the strange mists of the
- 1:00:41Markawasi Stone forest. Could it be the source of the
- 1:00:45energy many have spoken about, or is it being caused by
- 1:00:49something else? Just who or what exactly caused
- 1:00:53the stones to resemble human and animal faces and figures and
- 1:00:58given a fact that we saw a video of an alleged extraterrestrial,
- 1:01:02just two? Or what are the native andeans
- 1:01:05referring to when they described the makers?
- 1:01:09These questions and more have been brought to the surface
- 1:01:12today, and I'm curious to know what you guys think.
- 1:01:16So if you're visiting now, you know, you might not want to
- 1:01:19wander too far within the Andes mountains of Peru because
- 1:01:24something or someone may just make you a permanent resident.
- 1:01:31There was once a place where the dead whispered.
- 1:01:35Were buried secrets lied dormant for generations?
- 1:01:40Only turn leash a horrific evil once they were unearthed.
- 1:01:45This is the story about a family who endured a living nightmare
- 1:01:49in what was supposed to be their dream home.
- 1:01:52This is the untold story of the Summerwind mansion and the hell
- 1:01:57that dwelt within its walls. The home that would become known
- 1:02:05as summer wind was originally built in northern Wisconsin in
- 1:02:091916 by then US Secretary of Commerce Robert Lamont,
- 1:02:15originally called the Lamont Mansion, after it was finished
- 1:02:19sat upon 80 acres of property. Alongside the large home, which
- 1:02:24contained 3 large chimneys, guest quarters and a large
- 1:02:28basement, sat another smaller building which is where the
- 1:02:32servants lived. And from the beginning, things
- 1:02:36just didn't seem quite right. The mansion was fairly isolated,
- 1:02:40especially given the time period.
- 1:02:43The road conditions were poor at best and the area in which it
- 1:02:47was in receives heavy snowfall throughout various times of the
- 1:02:51year, which led to most of the winters being waited out among
- 1:02:55the estate during the first long winter at the property.
- 1:02:59The servants were soon being tormented by what they described
- 1:03:03as a translucent woman first seeing her staring at them from
- 1:03:07the main window. Of their quarters from the
- 1:03:10courtyard. To her, then beginning to
- 1:03:13materialize within the home itself.
- 1:03:16Mr Lemon initially dismissed these claims as nothing more
- 1:03:19than paranoia, thinking his servants were either delusional
- 1:03:24or getting stir crazy given the weather.
- 1:03:26And this was until 1 cold evening when he was made a true
- 1:03:30believer. While he and his wife were
- 1:03:33enjoying their dinner together on the 1st floor, they were
- 1:03:37interrupted by the basement door shaking violently.
- 1:03:42Terrified, knowing that there was no one who could be down
- 1:03:45there, Mr Lamont, pistol in hand, when to investigate.
- 1:03:50The shaking door abruptly stopped as Lamont came within
- 1:03:54several feet of it. Fighting through nerves and
- 1:03:58anxiety, Mr Lamont threw the door open, expecting there to be
- 1:04:02some one there. Instead, he was met with a bone
- 1:04:06chilling silence. He was even more unnerved after
- 1:04:11sweeping the basement and further confirming that there
- 1:04:14was indeed no one there. Afterwards, he began to make his
- 1:04:18way back towards the door to head back upstairs.
- 1:04:22When suddenly the ghostly form of a man appeared and stepped
- 1:04:27right in front of the exit. Scared out of his mind, the
- 1:04:31month then fired two shots from his pistol.
- 1:04:34And the apparition then disappeared.
- 1:04:37When others were sent to investigate to confirm that
- 1:04:40there indeed was no one there, all they found were fresh bullet
- 1:04:43holes and after this incident, the Lamont family abandoned the
- 1:04:48property, never to return. It then sat vacant and rotting.
- 1:04:54For decades. The mansion was still owned by
- 1:04:58the Lamont family until Mr Lamont's death in 1948, when it
- 1:05:03was then sold. It exchanged hands several times
- 1:05:08until it came into the possession of Mr and missus
- 1:05:11Kiefer. The Keefer family believed that
- 1:05:14they had found their forever home and were more than excited
- 1:05:17to move in. But this honeymoon feeling was
- 1:05:21all too short lived. The Kiefer soon began to
- 1:05:24experience strange things within the house.
- 1:05:28Unexplained sounds like banging travelled all throughout the
- 1:05:32home at random times of the day and night.
- 1:05:36Glimpses of shadows out of the corner of their eyes and the
- 1:05:40feeling as if they were being watched at all times.
- 1:05:44These experiences soon led the family to their breaking point,
- 1:05:48and they too would abandon the mansion, leaving behind all of
- 1:05:52their belongings, food, clothes and furniture.
- 1:05:57Missus Kiefer would later state that she believed, as she took
- 1:06:00anything with her from that house, that something horrible
- 1:06:04would happen to them. And although was still owned by
- 1:06:07the Kiefer family, the estate yet again sat rotting away for
- 1:06:11years to come. And not only that, but word of
- 1:06:15just why it had been abandoned had reached the local community
- 1:06:18as well. Leading to it being called the
- 1:06:21old Haunted House. The Kiefer family, despite their
- 1:06:25unfortunate experiences, would end up being the lucky ones.
- 1:06:32In 1969, Ginger Hinshaw was visiting a friend and was told
- 1:06:38that she had to visit the old haunted house with her.
- 1:06:41Intrigued, she agreed and soon found herself approaching into
- 1:06:45car, catching her first fleeting glimpses of summer wind through
- 1:06:50fingerprints, speckled window glass.
- 1:06:53She would later say that upon seeing the home, she felt sorry
- 1:06:56for it. She felt that it was calling out
- 1:06:59to her soul, crying out to her soul.
- 1:07:02For her to save it. She almost immediately became
- 1:07:06obsessed with the idea of living there.
- 1:07:09Her husband Arnold owned a construction company and shortly
- 1:07:13after her initial trip with her friend, would also take a trip
- 1:07:16there with his wife to see just what all her excitement was
- 1:07:20about. Knowing what it would take,
- 1:07:23Arnold immediately saw the potential and agreed that it may
- 1:07:26just be the perfect investment for the family since they were
- 1:07:30used to moving. Due to the nature of Arnold's
- 1:07:32business, the couples also figured they could use the
- 1:07:35space. With their six children as well
- 1:07:37as themselves, they then were able to reach out to the keefers
- 1:07:42and make them an offer that they couldn't refuse for this massive
- 1:07:45fixer upper. First impressions certainly go a
- 1:07:48long way for most people, and not everyone will get the same
- 1:07:52impression either. Contrary to her parents
- 1:07:55impressions of Summerwind, nine-year-old April got a much
- 1:07:59different feeling altogether. One of unease and fear.
- 1:08:05She described summerwind as a huge, dingy and decrepit place.
- 1:08:10And that she was immediately overcame with a feeling of
- 1:08:13dread, like she didn't belong there.
- 1:08:16Children can often be scared by new experiences, but given what
- 1:08:20was about to unfold, I don't think that was the case for
- 1:08:24young April. Within weeks, the family moves
- 1:08:28in. Ginger immediately becomes
- 1:08:30obsessed with restoring the old home, so much so it was like she
- 1:08:35was being compelled by an unseen force.
- 1:08:38Some of this work included trying 11 different paint colors
- 1:08:42to match the woodwork. It was if she had been given an
- 1:08:46assignment. To restore this relic back to
- 1:08:49its original glory, and as ginger fixated on renovating her
- 1:08:54husband, Arnold began to lose interest in the house and grew
- 1:08:58ever more distant from his family.
- 1:09:01He began to wander aimlessly in a state of confusion.
- 1:09:05Starting things and stopping them just as quickly.
- 1:09:09He seemed to hyper focus on the old organ that had come with the
- 1:09:12home. And began to play it at all
- 1:09:15hours of the night. Along with this, he began to be
- 1:09:19tormented by something that he couldn't see.
- 1:09:22And he believed that if he stopped playing, something
- 1:09:25horrible would happen to him. Meanwhile, Ginger continued her
- 1:09:31work. As the days continue to tick by,
- 1:09:34slowly but surely the family began to experience very strange
- 1:09:38activity within the home. This began with small items
- 1:09:42often being misplaced when there was no one around to move them,
- 1:09:46but this soon escalated to chairs being moved.
- 1:09:49One moment they'd be up against the dining table and the next
- 1:09:53moment up against the wall. And no matter what room you were
- 1:09:57in or what you were doing, you always felt as if you were being
- 1:10:01watched. Along with this omnipresent
- 1:10:04watcher, the family began to be awakened by disembodied crying
- 1:10:08at all times during the night. The crying was described as
- 1:10:12something trying to mimic the crying of a baby, but it just
- 1:10:16wasn't quite human and there were no children that age
- 1:10:20residing within the home at the time.
- 1:10:23Footsteps also followed them wherever they went.
- 1:10:26And didn't stop when they reached them, they would often
- 1:10:30cascade onto the walls. They would also hear The Walking
- 1:10:33above their heads, as if some one or something simply defy
- 1:10:38gravity walked around and above them.
- 1:10:42Now, several weeks into what was supposed to be there forever
- 1:10:45home, the Henshaw family was now experiencing activity not of
- 1:10:50this world. Arnold had also grown more
- 1:10:53distant, more reclusive, and was no longer acting like the Sweet
- 1:10:57Man that he had once been. His personality had completely
- 1:11:01shifted and he was no longer himself.
- 1:11:05He had gone from a loving father to an insanely angry shell of
- 1:11:09his former self. His daughter April would later
- 1:11:13describe him like this. Any little thing would seem to
- 1:11:16set him off, and you would have to bear the brunt of his rage.
- 1:11:20These possession episodes only grew in intensity and he became
- 1:11:24more and more. Evil.
- 1:11:27An example of this is that one day the family's pet raccoon
- 1:11:31escaped, sending Arnold into a frenzy.
- 1:11:35He attempted to force the children into the nearby woods
- 1:11:37to look for it. Amidst the altercation,
- 1:11:41thankfully, their mother intervened and kept him from
- 1:11:44sending them there. As a punishment to the children,
- 1:11:48Arnold found and then killed the raccoon in front of them.
- 1:11:53Despite the radical changes that were taking place within her
- 1:11:57family and daily life, Ginger attempted to regain a sense of
- 1:12:01normalcy. Attempting to put the strange
- 1:12:04activity out of her mind, she hosted a dinner party with some
- 1:12:08friends who hadn't seen her or the family since they had moved
- 1:12:12in to Summerwind. Things seemed to be going well,
- 1:12:15and that was until she made a quick trip to the kitchen to get
- 1:12:19some snacks for her guests who were sitting in the parlor.
- 1:12:23As she loaded a plate with food, the muted warmth of company was
- 1:12:27shattered by a scream. Ginger rushed to the room to
- 1:12:31find her guests screaming in terror as they witnessed the
- 1:12:34ghostly form of a man with a misshapen face appeared directly
- 1:12:39in front of them. Within seconds, they rushed out
- 1:12:42of summer wind and would never speak to ginger ever again.
- 1:12:48Although what she had suspected all along, Ginger's worst fears
- 1:12:52were now confirmed, she was dealing with something not of
- 1:12:55this realm. And even though she knows she's
- 1:12:58not insane. It's of little consolation.
- 1:13:02Arnold has continued to spiral deeper into madness.
- 1:13:06His playing on the old organ has now become more frequent than
- 1:13:10ever and has grown more dissident and demonic and
- 1:13:14tonality. Within two months, Arnold has
- 1:13:18gone completely berserk and has lost all grip of reality.
- 1:13:23He's lost his construction business because he simply
- 1:13:26stopped working. And all of the family's assets
- 1:13:29are depleted, having purchased and renovated the home.
- 1:13:33And now he was on the verge of losing his family.
- 1:13:37His daughters, now ages 8 and 10, believe that the house is
- 1:13:42what is destroying their family. They have both contemplated
- 1:13:46suicide, the horrific absolute for anyone, but it's
- 1:13:50particularly disturbing because of their young ages.
- 1:13:54Ginger now often seeks refuge in the nearby woods, choosing to
- 1:13:59sleep on the forest floor rather than in her own home because
- 1:14:03she's grown so terrified of what inhabits the property.
- 1:14:07But this time, winter is quickly approaching.
- 1:14:12Due to the lack of income, the gas and electricity to the home
- 1:14:15have now been shut off and the family's daily life has devolved
- 1:14:20into basic survival needs. A broken water pump now forces
- 1:14:25them to also have to haul water from the nearby lake.
- 1:14:29Along with continuing to deal with Arnold's insanity and the
- 1:14:33paranormal activity, they are struggling just to stay warm.
- 1:14:37They've now moved all of their mattresses into the living room
- 1:14:40around the fireplace and have resorted to burning the
- 1:14:44furniture, no matter how expensive, just to live while
- 1:14:49stripping part of the woodwork in her room to use as firewood.
- 1:14:54April was met with a horrific discovery.
- 1:14:57Upon pulling a board back, she was greeted face to face with a
- 1:15:01human skeleton. Its gnarled teeth and empty eye
- 1:15:06sockets staring back at her with small strands of hair still
- 1:15:10attached to the scalp. Isolated and traumatized, the
- 1:15:15Hinshaws continued to barely exist.
- 1:15:19As the icy winds howl outside of the mansion, and although it's
- 1:15:24taken nearly everything going wrong, ginger finally reaches
- 1:15:28her breaking point. Pride has kept her from calling
- 1:15:32her father, but pride is slowly giving way to her fear.
- 1:15:37Fear for herself and her children's lives.
- 1:15:41So she finally does the right thing.
- 1:15:44Walking through the frozen woods, she makes her way to the
- 1:15:47closest neighbor's house and makes the call.
- 1:15:50And like a knight in shining armor, the following morning,
- 1:15:53ginger and the girls are rescued.
- 1:15:57Arnold stays behind but would leave summer when the following
- 1:16:00day to be committed to a mental hospital.
- 1:16:04Whatever hope him and Ginger once had for their relationship
- 1:16:08has long since been shattered. He was never seen or heard from
- 1:16:13by the family again. The home would be foreclosed on
- 1:16:17and resold to a new owner. But just when they thought the
- 1:16:20war was over, a new chapter was just beginning.
- 1:16:27In later interviews, Ginger would state that she wasn't into
- 1:16:31haunted houses or the spiritual world.
- 1:16:34But after what she experienced at summer wind, she felt that
- 1:16:37she had to discover and learn about it to make sense of what
- 1:16:41had happened to me. Upon being rescued by her
- 1:16:44father, Ray Ginger told him everything, every last detail of
- 1:16:49what had taken place. However, her father didn't
- 1:16:54believe her. He didn't doubt that there had
- 1:16:56been dysfunction and breakdown within her marriage, but he did
- 1:17:00doubt that the paranormal had anything to do with it.
- 1:17:05The years now 1972, and Ginger and the girls are now living
- 1:17:09with Ginger's father and Ontario, Canada.
- 1:17:12Ginger has become an avid student of the paranormal,
- 1:17:15reading every last book that she can get her hands on to try and
- 1:17:19decipher just what happened at Summerwind.
- 1:17:22Since her time there, she's vowed to never return under any
- 1:17:26circumstances. But to the contrary, her father
- 1:17:31cannot seem to get the place out of his mind.
- 1:17:34And without her knowledge, he arranges a meeting in a showing
- 1:17:38of the mansion with the new owner, a woman named Missus
- 1:17:42Murray. Since purchasing the home, she's
- 1:17:45been unable to sell it and refuses to go inside due to a
- 1:17:49personal experience she never spoke about.
- 1:17:53Upon the arrangement, Ray and his son, Ray Junior, go inside.
- 1:17:58Ray Junior has just been discharged from the army after
- 1:18:01several tours in Vietnam during the war.
- 1:18:04And needs something to help keep him busy and help him adjust
- 1:18:07back to civilian life. Upon seeing summer wind.
- 1:18:12Like his father, he is also immediately drawn to it,
- 1:18:16describing it as the most fascinating home he's ever seen,
- 1:18:20like a mix of all different styles of architecture and that
- 1:18:23the home looked like it needed someone to care for.
- 1:18:26Like a puppy in the rain. Both men make their way inside,
- 1:18:30and it isn't long until they feel like the home is watching
- 1:18:34them. But despite a mysterious chill
- 1:18:37in the air, ray decides to make the purchase.
- 1:18:41But like his daughter before him, he too will soon discover
- 1:18:44that he's purchased more than what he could have ever
- 1:18:47bargained for. Ray Junior quickly gets to work
- 1:18:50renovating the old home. He calls multiple contractors to
- 1:18:54try and get assistance with the work.
- 1:18:57But as soon as they would find out where the work was to be
- 1:18:59done, they would stop returning his calls.
- 1:19:03So Ray continued alone. One day, shortly after his work
- 1:19:08had began, Ray was frightened by something.
- 1:19:12He was so frightened that he refused to return to the mansion
- 1:19:16and claimed that he broke all of his tools, but not yet telling
- 1:19:20his father about what had happened.
- 1:19:23Racing you'll continue to be excited about his plans for
- 1:19:26summer wind as he was explaining his layout plan with his
- 1:19:30daughter and son. Ray junior seemed particularly
- 1:19:33nervous and kept biting his nails.
- 1:19:37Having also now studied hypnotism, Ginger offered to
- 1:19:40help her brother with his nail biting by placing him in a
- 1:19:44trance. However, things soon escalated.
- 1:19:49The lights began to flicker and the same mysterious icy wind
- 1:19:53began to chill the entire room and ray no longer sounded like
- 1:19:59himself. The voice of an old gruff man
- 1:20:02now answered ginger. An old gruff voice that said I
- 1:20:07am strong and my children are weak.
- 1:20:10You are weak and I am strong. I'm very old and have seven
- 1:20:16children and I despise them all, for they are weak and I am
- 1:20:21strong. Fearing that she had unleashed
- 1:20:23something she couldn't control, dinger began to panic once the
- 1:20:28traditional methods weren't breaking.
- 1:20:29Raised Trance, she commanded the spirit to leave his body and
- 1:20:34give her back her brother, and with those words things returned
- 1:20:38to normal. Ray soon woke up and besides a
- 1:20:42slight headache, had no memory of what had just occurred.
- 1:20:46Much to everyone shock. Ray Senior was quick to dismiss
- 1:20:50the event as overactive imaginations.
- 1:20:53However, Ray Junior had no children and none of the
- 1:20:57statements he had made made any sense.
- 1:21:01The man's son then proceeded to explain to him what took place
- 1:21:04to him at Summerwind and why he refused to go back.
- 1:21:39But there were no tracks besides his, which would have been
- 1:21:42impossible. As he continued to check, he saw
- 1:21:46the basement door where he had spotted two bullet holes, and
- 1:21:50although they looked extremely old, he continued to smell
- 1:21:53gunpowder and was rattled to his core.
- 1:21:57Upon turning around to face the room again, he was met by the
- 1:22:01apparition of an old man with a disfigured face.
- 1:22:06The spirit was racing towards him with Hell in his eyes.
- 1:22:11Ray did the sensible thing and ran to the safety of his vehicle
- 1:22:16and left for good knowing his son was a staunch atheist and
- 1:22:20non believer. Prior to this event, Ray Senior
- 1:22:24was astonished given all the information and details both his
- 1:22:28daughter and son had now shared with him along with his newfound
- 1:22:32obsession with the home. Ray now believed that there was
- 1:22:35some kind of force attempting to communicate with them.
- 1:22:38But about what, exactly? He wasn't sure.
- 1:22:42Upon her father's request, and although it took much longer
- 1:22:45than anticipated, Ginger placed him in the same trance that she
- 1:22:49had placed her brother during his hypnosis.
- 1:22:53Racing your finds himself at summer when searching its halls.
- 1:22:57He then began to descend into the basement, where he
- 1:23:00discovered a box hidden behind some old stones and one of the
- 1:23:04walls. Upon opening the box, he sees a
- 1:23:08land grant written in 1767, signed by someone named Jonathan
- 1:23:14Carver. As the trance is broken and as
- 1:23:17he reenters conscious reality, Ray senior, along with his
- 1:23:21family, are shocks that seemingly out of nowhere,
- 1:23:25they've conjured a name connected to Summerland.
- 1:23:29A name that could help them solve the elusive mysteries
- 1:23:32hiding within its walls. The family quickly gets to work.
- 1:23:38Heading to the local library, Ray Senior finds that Jonathan
- 1:23:41Carver was an explorer in the late 1700s whose crowning
- 1:23:46achievement was negotiating a peace settlement between two
- 1:23:49warring native tribes. As a reward for this, he was
- 1:23:53gifted a large swath of land, the same land in which summer
- 1:23:57wind now sits. But upon his death, his children
- 1:24:01were unable to find any documents to verify this, and
- 1:24:05thus they were unable to inherit it.
- 1:24:08Could a land grant truly be sitting in a box hidden deep
- 1:24:11within the basement of the mansion?
- 1:24:13Although both Ginger and her brother had vowed to never step
- 1:24:16foot in summer wind again. Given these new revelations,
- 1:24:20they both believe that perhaps the spirits were attempting to
- 1:24:23tell them where this grant was. Perhaps they wanted it found for
- 1:24:27one reason or another so they could be at peace.
- 1:24:31For this reason, they agreed to go back.
- 1:24:35Although all were fearful, they made their way back into the old
- 1:24:39mansion. And from here they headed to the
- 1:24:42basement to search. They quickly came upon the spot
- 1:24:45Ray Senior had seen during his trance, and after polling
- 1:24:49several stones out, there was a space behind them, just as Ray
- 1:24:53had seen. But shock and happiness soon
- 1:24:56turned to an abyss of disappointment.
- 1:25:00There was no box there and after confirming that there was no box
- 1:25:04anywhere in the basement. They decided to do a deep search
- 1:25:08of the entire house, but a box was never recovered.
- 1:25:13Realizing just how much of an impact the entire summer wind
- 1:25:16experience had had upon them, and how much time they had spent
- 1:25:19searching for answers to its elusive enigmas.
- 1:25:23They collectively decided to preserve what was left of their
- 1:25:27sanity. Seemingly tormenting every
- 1:25:30single person who had ever lived there.
- 1:25:32Perhaps its secrets could never be solved.
- 1:25:36So the family gets in their vehicle and leaves summerwind.
- 1:25:40Never to return, the property would later be sold again, and
- 1:25:45again it would sit vacant for years.
- 1:25:49Then on one stormy night in 1988.
- 1:25:52Lightning strikes the old mansion multiple times, burning
- 1:25:56it to the ground, forever sealing its secrets within a
- 1:26:01tomb of Ashes. Today, all that remains are the
- 1:26:05ruins of its two chimneys and some stones.
- 1:26:10Carvers, descendants, researchers and others still to
- 1:26:13this day have not found the land deed.
- 1:26:16But the real question is, did it ever exist at all?
- 1:26:20Did the spirit of Carver pull any and all people he could to
- 1:26:24attempt to find it, or was he ever there at all?
- 1:26:28Or could there have been something else, something that
- 1:26:32perhaps was never human, stalking the grounds of
- 1:26:35summerwind, instead causing the torment and madness to the many
- 1:26:40residents who dared to call the mansion their home?
- 1:26:44The truth for now will forever remain a mystery, it seems, but
- 1:26:48the reality of what happened to the Hinshaw family will forever
- 1:26:52haunt them until the day that they die.
- 1:26:57There are many seemingly normal places in this world.
- 1:27:03But hidden behind the veil of normalcy can lie many, many
- 1:27:09secrets. This is the tale of one such
- 1:27:13place, and this tale intertwines history with myth and first-hand
- 1:27:20accounts of experiences and much more, from strange crypted
- 1:27:25encounters to bizarre cult rituals and UFO sightings.
- 1:27:32There is much to uncover within, so join me as we decode the
- 1:27:37untold story of Black Star Canyon here on Mystery Archives.
- 1:27:51Black Star Canyon is known by many throughout the state of
- 1:27:54California as a wide open space full of family friendly trails.
- 1:28:00However, it should be known for much more than just this.
- 1:28:06Unlike many of Southern California's trails, Black Stars
- 1:28:10been the site of a plethora of horrific events that have taken
- 1:28:14place throughout history, as well as a multitude of strange
- 1:28:19sightings which we'll get into later.
- 1:28:22Located in Orange County, California and the Santa Ana
- 1:28:26Mountains, the Canyon was originally known as Canada de
- 1:28:31Los Indios under Spanish rule and then later under Mexican
- 1:28:36rule. As part of Alta, CA or Nueva,
- 1:28:40California. First known recorded negative
- 1:28:44event that took place there was an 1831.
- 1:28:49Local ranchers were being terrorized by horse thieves from
- 1:28:53the Shoshone tribe, a Native American tribe that was active
- 1:28:57in the area at the time. Unable to track the thieves down
- 1:29:01themselves, they banded together and were aided by a local
- 1:29:06mountain man named William Wolfskill.
- 1:29:10Over several weeks, Wolfskill and the ranchers tracked the
- 1:29:14thieves down until they came upon their encampment.
- 1:29:18Here they discovered much more than they had bargained for.
- 1:29:22Not only had the tribesmen ate their horses, but they found
- 1:29:26several still cooking human limbs over the crackling
- 1:29:30campfire. Disturbed and angered, the
- 1:29:35ranchers overwhelmed the natives they encountered there and
- 1:29:39massacred them, before then desecrating and leaving their
- 1:29:43remains. But this would be only one of
- 1:29:47many shocking events that would take place here and add to the
- 1:29:51darkness of the Canyon. The land in which the massacre
- 1:29:56took place on would eventually fall into the hands of William
- 1:30:00Wolfskill and eventually a man named James.
- 1:30:03Irving. After discovering coal deposits
- 1:30:06in the Canyon, James Irving would Co found with a man named
- 1:30:10August Widdz, the Black Star coal Mining Company, an 1879
- 1:30:16which gave the Canyon its current name.
- 1:30:19The mine would pull an estimated 6 tons of coal each day and was
- 1:30:24almost exclusively employed by the canyons few residents.
- 1:30:29Many accidents would take place within the mind, including one
- 1:30:33incident where a man who was seemingly intoxicated fell to
- 1:30:37his death. This was later investigated by
- 1:30:40the law at the time and the mining company was not found to
- 1:30:44be at fault. Many locals at this time of the
- 1:30:48operation believe the mine or the land could be haunted due to
- 1:30:52the frequent experiences of seeing apparitions and hearing
- 1:30:57disembodied voices throughout the mouth of the mind and the
- 1:31:01surrounding area. Many of the apparitions were
- 1:31:05described as natives adorned in tribal garb.
- 1:31:09The mining operation, like many during this era, soon became
- 1:31:13unprofitable and the Black Star Mining company.
- 1:31:17Was soon sold by Irving. It would later be replaced by
- 1:31:21the Santa Clara mine, a much more successful and sustainable
- 1:31:25company that would lead to the sustainment of the town of
- 1:31:29Carbondale. Located nearby, it would go on
- 1:31:33to operate until it closed for good in the early 20th century.
- 1:31:38Another unfortunate event that took place upon the land
- 1:31:42happened on June 9th, 1899 at a place called Hidden Ranch
- 1:31:48located within the Canyon. Hidden Ranch was owned by a man
- 1:31:53named Henry Hungerford of Norwalk and George Howard of
- 1:31:58Anaheim. On June 8th, 1899, James Gregg,
- 1:32:03his brother-in-law, and a teenage boy by the name of Clint
- 1:32:07Hunt arrived. Drive out cattle that Greg owned
- 1:32:11and paid pasturage for on the land.
- 1:32:14That evening a dispute broke out over unsettled debts between
- 1:32:18Greg and the property owners. Howard owed Greg $10.00 on a
- 1:32:23horse trade and Greg had an outstanding pasturage bill of
- 1:32:27$17.50. A total sum that would equal
- 1:32:32approximately $98,000 in today's money.
- 1:32:37While Greg insisted that Hungerford and Howard accept a
- 1:32:40settlement of $7.50, or about $26,000 in today's money, a
- 1:32:48heated exchange broke out between the two.
- 1:32:51But they eventually would go their separate ways.
- 1:32:55And ultimately would go to bed for the night.
- 1:32:58However, the following morning, upon reconvening, the argument
- 1:33:03simply started back up. Amidst the resume dispute, Henry
- 1:33:08Hungerford would ultimately fatally shoot and kill James
- 1:33:12Gregg. It wasn't long after this
- 1:33:15incident that Hungerford was arrested and brought to the
- 1:33:18trial for the murder before Judge JW Ballard.
- 1:33:22Initially convicted of the murder, the trial results were
- 1:33:26overturned due to the judge granting a motion for a new
- 1:33:30trial on the grounds that not enough evidence had been
- 1:33:33produced to convict beyond a reasonable doubt.
- 1:33:38Since no new evidence was available upon the start of the
- 1:33:41new trial, the District Attorney, a man named RY
- 1:33:45Williams, had no choice other than to dismiss the case.
- 1:33:50Henry Hungerford would get away with the murder.
- 1:33:53Of James Gregg. And since then, many have
- 1:33:57claimed to see Greg near Hidden Ranch.
- 1:34:00And considering the circumstances in which he died
- 1:34:04out of a lapse of judgment, heated emotions and reaction, it
- 1:34:10wouldn't surprise me if his soul was still wandering the land
- 1:34:13even to this day. Besides events of the distant
- 1:34:18past, there have been more modern tragedies to take place
- 1:34:22within the Canyon as well. I'll be focusing on the ones
- 1:34:25that took place directly in the geographical area of Blackstar
- 1:34:30and not the surrounding areas. It's been rumoured, but cannot
- 1:34:34be confirmed, that in the 1970s a bus driver lost control of the
- 1:34:39bus that transported local children to and from school.
- 1:34:43The bus then Subsequentially crashed into the Black Star
- 1:34:47Canyon, killing everyone who was on board.
- 1:34:51The corpse of the bus then sat within the Canyon for more than
- 1:34:5540 years until it was removed in 2013.
- 1:35:00Many people have reported being pushed by what felt like child's
- 1:35:04hands and hearing children whispering and laughing near the
- 1:35:09bus when it was still there, but there was never any one around.
- 1:35:15In 2001 and a brazen act of evil, two men and three boys
- 1:35:21associated with the gang known as the LTK Crew were arrested
- 1:35:26after the beating of two teenage boys and the violation of their
- 1:35:31teenage girlfriends within Black Star.
- 1:35:35The suspects confessed to being under the influence of alcohol
- 1:35:39prior to the attack and began also taking drugs while the
- 1:35:43attacks were in progress and after they had taken place as
- 1:35:47well. In 2002, a very sad and
- 1:35:52unfortunate event also took place.
- 1:35:55Nicholas Anderson and his brother Glenn Anderson entered
- 1:35:59the blue light mine in hopes of exploring the abandoned mine and
- 1:36:04having an adventure, but the two brothers, tragically would never
- 1:36:08make it out alive. Oxygen levels inside the mine
- 1:36:13were recorded at only 4%. The mine, which has a total of
- 1:36:1711 entrances, only had three properly blocked off at the time
- 1:36:22of the Anderson Brothers deaths. There's since been a project in
- 1:36:27place to seal the additional entrances to prevent any further
- 1:36:31tragedies from taking place. Of just the several events that
- 1:36:36we've covered so far, as I've mentioned before in previous
- 1:36:40videos similar to this one as well, some believe that
- 1:36:44unspeakable events of evil such as murder or massacre or even
- 1:36:49untimely death can oftentimes leave a wound upon the land.
- 1:36:54And A haunting, as some believe, is similar to a scar upon the
- 1:36:59land where the event has long since passed, but the energy of
- 1:37:04it once. Having taken place, there still
- 1:37:07exists. One theory that's been discussed
- 1:37:10is that the majority of the Canyon is comprised of
- 1:37:13limestone, which has long since been debated by the paranormal
- 1:37:17community since the 1970s to be a type of stone that captures
- 1:37:23and stores bursts of energy like those that would have been
- 1:37:26discharged at the prior events mentioned.
- 1:37:30Could this possibly be contributing to the hauntings
- 1:37:33and other strange events taking place?
- 1:37:36Within Black Star Canyon today. Another theory is that many
- 1:37:41believe the Canyon to be a kind of portal, whether that's to
- 1:37:44another dimension, the other side, or something else
- 1:37:48entirely, such as a different universe.
- 1:37:51It's hard to say, but the following stories may pique your
- 1:37:55interest as to why they feel this way.
- 1:37:58Satanic rituals and strange cult activity have long been
- 1:38:03associated with Black Star Canyon, with many visitors
- 1:38:06reporting hooded figures. Unexplained fires and chanting.
- 1:38:12Some have even reported witnessing the sacrifice of an
- 1:38:15animal. Hikers have discovered satanic
- 1:38:19imagery carved into various stones along trails.
- 1:38:23Used black candles, animal skulls and bloody objects.
- 1:38:29Many of these claims could be dismissed as legend or an
- 1:38:32overactive imagination, according to most.
- 1:38:36But could there be more to these claims than mere speculation?
- 1:38:39Through some digging I found a reference, as noted in the book
- 1:38:44the Truth about Freemasons, the Illuminati, and the New World
- 1:38:48order by SDS&CMW, an individual who used the alias Pendar,
- 1:38:55claimed to be a member of the illuminated Brotherhood, also
- 1:38:59known as the Illuminati to most. This individual claim to be from
- 1:39:04the Alsace Lorraine region of France and would attend major
- 1:39:08satanic ceremonies in Europe. And parts of the United States
- 1:39:12regularly. One such ritual was said to have
- 1:39:16originally been hosted on a regular basis and the Trabuco
- 1:39:20Canyon in California. However, urban sprawl and
- 1:39:24development led the organizers to move the riots to Black Star
- 1:39:29Canyon instead. If this were true, it could
- 1:39:33possibly tie in or contribute to some of the legends that you're
- 1:39:37about to hear. Many strange things have been
- 1:39:41spotted within Black Star. One of those is a sighting of an
- 1:39:45ape like creature within the Canyon and throughout the
- 1:39:49surrounding area. Aside from dozens of reports by
- 1:39:53locals and tourists alike having claimed to have seen the
- 1:39:56creature, it has also been documented as being seen on four
- 1:40:00different occasions by 4 different Rangers.
- 1:40:04This is a photo of 1 alleged encounter.
- 1:40:09Could the activity of one or several dark cults have brought
- 1:40:13forth something into our world that isn't supposed to be here?
- 1:40:17Or is it something that's lived here all along?
- 1:40:21Another strange creature that has been witnessed draws from an
- 1:40:25old Spanish folk tale. The Spanish, of course,
- 1:40:29controlled the area prior to Mexico, and the folk tale is
- 1:40:34that of La Larona. There are many origin tales, but
- 1:40:38from my research it seems that law lerona, or the weeping woman
- 1:40:43was a woman named Maria who married a wealthy man who she
- 1:40:48eventually bore two children to. As time went on, she began to
- 1:40:53see her husband less and less, and when he was home, he only
- 1:40:57ever paid attention to the children.
- 1:41:00Eventually, she would see her husband with another woman.
- 1:41:05Out of jealousy and mania, one night she drowned her two
- 1:41:09children. Immediately regretting this
- 1:41:12horrid decision, she then drowned herself.
- 1:41:18She was denied entry through heaven's Gates and now searches
- 1:41:21the world for her lost child. Often being seen in a white
- 1:41:26bridal gown. With the disfigured or animal
- 1:41:30like face. She's typically seen floating in
- 1:41:34bodies of water and attacks children as well as adults.
- 1:41:40There is a well that is rumored to exist within the Canyon where
- 1:41:44she lives. And she's been rumored to have
- 1:41:48manifested and come out of that well, only to drag whoever or
- 1:41:53whatever she preys upon deep into its debts.
- 1:41:58Black Star Canyon also seems to be a hotspot for EVP, or
- 1:42:04electronic voice phenomena. Disembodied but audible voices
- 1:42:09have been heard and recorded by many individuals while visiting.
- 1:42:14The sounds of distant chanting, weeping, and even growling have
- 1:42:19been reported as well, all with no visible origin.
- 1:42:23Many people have also reported seeing things out of the corner
- 1:42:27of their eye only when they turn.
- 1:42:30There's nothing there this activity could tie into the
- 1:42:34limestone theory or even the occult activity that's taking
- 1:42:38place there. Perhaps energy over the ages has
- 1:42:41been stored within the stone, or perhaps an otherworldly vortex
- 1:42:46exists within the Canyon itself. Whether it's always been there
- 1:42:50or was open due to evil practices is. 21 guess.
- 1:42:56This vortex that I've mentioned could be a spiritual one, but
- 1:43:00others have often speculated that it could be some kind of
- 1:43:03wormhole or interdimensional portal instead.
- 1:43:08Many people wanting to escape the urban lifestyle of Orange
- 1:43:12County have taken to places like Black Star Canyon due to its
- 1:43:16relatively quiet environment and unparalleled views of the sky.
- 1:43:22A place where things aren't obstructed by city lights.
- 1:43:26Over the years a plethora of UFO activity has been documented and
- 1:43:30reported over Black Star, and although there is occasionally
- 1:43:34planes overhead due to John Wayne Airport nearby, many have
- 1:43:39noted very strange craft with pulsing lights unlike anything
- 1:43:43they've ever seen before within the night sky there.
- 1:43:48As previously mentioned, many people have reported seeing
- 1:43:52things out of the corner of their eye, only for there to be
- 1:43:55nothing there. But people have also reported
- 1:43:58being stalked and even pursued by something aggressive and yet
- 1:44:03unseen. Could this perhaps be something
- 1:44:06that was dropped off by UFO, a terrifying and abhorrent
- 1:44:10creature created in an alien lab somewhere?
- 1:44:14Or is this a spirit, or something else completely
- 1:44:17unknown? Those who have encountered such
- 1:44:20entities and have lived to tell the tale, I'm sure will not be
- 1:44:24going back anytime soon, and I can't blame them.
- 1:44:29Many creatures have been mentioned due to Black Star
- 1:44:31Canyon being a hotspot of many different types of supposed
- 1:44:36activity, but there is another type of creature or creatures
- 1:44:41that I'd like to mention as well, although these certainly
- 1:44:44seem less menacing. Originally spotted on January
- 1:44:4823rd of 1995 by a group of friends hunting within the
- 1:44:53Canyon, they were described as the Black Star Waddlers.
- 1:44:57These were small entities that were approximately 2 feet tall,
- 1:45:02dark in color, and had a notable waddle as they walked by.
- 1:45:07They typically would be seen in groups and were spotted several
- 1:45:11times by the first party prior to their hunt being over, the
- 1:45:15creatures would also be spotted. By another group later that year
- 1:45:19and again in 1998. And although not much is known
- 1:45:23about them, they don't appear to be hostile.
- 1:45:27But for those who witness them, it would certainly make for a
- 1:45:30very strange trip, and even a stranger story indeed.
- 1:45:37While many of the trails and open spaces of Black Star Canyon
- 1:45:41are still regularly traveled during the day, many refused to
- 1:45:45traverse the space at night. There are said to be an
- 1:45:48uncomfortable and noticeable shift in energy from relative
- 1:45:53happiness and normalcy to that of malice and uncertainty.
- 1:45:59While the majority of known history, legends and sightings
- 1:46:04have all been mentioned in this video, there are old T tales
- 1:46:07that we may possibly never know and others that will be kept
- 1:46:12from us about this place. There are also still stories and
- 1:46:17new experiences being written and told as those with an
- 1:46:21insatiable curiosity for the unexplained continue to hike
- 1:46:26Black Star Canyon. So if you find yourself in
- 1:46:29California, want to experience the weird and Black Star Canyon
- 1:46:34might just be the place for you. But if I were you, I wouldn't
- 1:46:39recommend staying too long because you may never leave.
- 1:46:45Most of us are familiar with the foggy and desolate streets of a
- 1:46:49place called Silent Hill. Whether it's been through video
- 1:46:53games or movies, there's something psychologically
- 1:46:57terrifying about a monster infested hellscape with a fire
- 1:47:01burning deep beneath its grounds.
- 1:47:04But as many of you may not know, Silent Hill, or at least the
- 1:47:08inspiration behind the concept, was based on a real life place.
- 1:47:13Today, we're going to learn about the history of Centralia.
- 1:47:16Pennsylvania, otherwise known as Silent Hill.
- 1:47:20Here on mystery archives. The town that would become known
- 1:47:27as Centralia was founded and incorporated into the local
- 1:47:31borough in 1866. The main employer within the
- 1:47:36community was the various coal mining companies that operated
- 1:47:40within the area and although a job like coal mining carried
- 1:47:45various risks, it provided a decent life for the majority of
- 1:47:50the 2000 citizens that occupied the town.
- 1:47:53But although being a much needed financial lifeline at the time,
- 1:47:58it would soon also be its downfall.
- 1:48:02The coal mining continued until the 1960s, when most of the
- 1:48:06companies went out of business, and by this time the borough had
- 1:48:11grown to home a total of five schools, 7 churches, 5 hotels,
- 1:48:1727 saloons, 2 theaters, a bank post office and 14 general
- 1:48:25stores. On May 27th, 1962, the people of
- 1:48:30Centralia put into motion a course of events that would
- 1:48:34change their history and lives forever.
- 1:48:43It was a Monday, and the citizens were getting ready for
- 1:48:46their Memorial Day festivities to take place just a few days
- 1:48:50later. But there was a problem that
- 1:48:53hadn't been dealt with yet. Due to their continued
- 1:48:57population growth, the main landfill had been overflowing
- 1:49:01for quite some time. The City Council had met earlier
- 1:49:06that month to discuss the best way to go about cleaning up the
- 1:49:09300 foot wide and 75 foot tall pit of trash that had
- 1:49:14accumulated, so it was agreed upon that they would burn the
- 1:49:18pile and have the problem out of the way before the festivities
- 1:49:22could commence. The only problem was that the
- 1:49:26landfill was located directly on top of the old coal mine.
- 1:49:31But deciding that it was a risk they had to take, they set fire
- 1:49:35to the trash on May 27th, 1962 and waited for the smoldering
- 1:49:40trash to burn itself out. The only problem was.
- 1:49:45That it didn't stop. The fire soon grew out of
- 1:49:55control, despite the best efforts of the local fire
- 1:49:59department, and it latched onto the old coal seam from the mine
- 1:50:03and slowly but surely spread throughout the mines under the
- 1:50:07city. Despite the initial panic and
- 1:50:11realization of the magnitude of a situation they were dealing
- 1:50:15with. I can only imagine how those in
- 1:50:17charge must have felt. Some of the first residents to
- 1:50:21notice that things were heating up, so to speak, were the town's
- 1:50:25gas station owners. Upon taking the temperature of
- 1:50:29their underground fuel tanks, something they routinely did,
- 1:50:33they panicked when the temperature gauges read 397
- 1:50:38degrees Fahrenheit. To put it in perspective,
- 1:50:42gasoline typically combusts around 495 degrees.
- 1:50:47So it was only a short time before the ticking time bombs
- 1:50:50exploded around the city. Some residents began evacuating
- 1:50:56on their own volition. And soon flames were visible,
- 1:51:00coming out of cracks in the ground.
- 1:51:03And more flames began to be spotted over the days to come.
- 1:51:08And when those flames were extinguished, the residents
- 1:51:12began reporting the constant smell of smoldering trash and
- 1:51:16coal. Over the next several weeks, the
- 1:51:20authorities tried almost every conceivable effort to smother
- 1:51:24the blaze. They pumped water into the mines
- 1:51:27daily. They covered the surface with
- 1:51:30clay and pumped a slurry of ash, water and rocks into the mine.
- 1:51:36But all efforts failed to stop the hell that was now burning
- 1:51:40deep beneath their beloved town. Eventually, they had no choice
- 1:51:50other than to give up, and fearing for the safety of the
- 1:51:53town's inhabitants, the city was condemned and all residents were
- 1:51:59forced to vacate their homes. The majority of citizens
- 1:52:03evacuated the town, but several opted to stay despite the
- 1:52:07warnings of local authorities. The ones who did leave relocated
- 1:52:13to surrounding towns. That was until the fire
- 1:52:16continued to spread. In the beginning of 1980, the
- 1:52:21adverse health effects of carbon monoxide poisoning were being
- 1:52:25reported within the surrounding townships of the borough at an
- 1:52:29alarming rate. The statewide attention to the
- 1:52:33scale of the problem culminated in 1981 when a 12 year old
- 1:52:38resident named Todd Dombrowsky fell into a sinkhole which had
- 1:52:42spontaneously opened up beneath him as he was playing in his
- 1:52:46backyard. He held on by a tree root while
- 1:52:50breathing in carbon monoxide until his 14 year old cousin
- 1:52:54pulled him out of the hole, saving his life.
- 1:52:58Upon examination, it was found that the hole was four feet
- 1:53:02across and 150 feet deep and was spewing out toxic gases and
- 1:53:08intense heat. Soon after, more the surrounding
- 1:53:14towns were forced to evacuate, and in 1992, then Governor Bob
- 1:53:19Casey invoked eminent domain on all properties in the borough,
- 1:53:24condemning all buildings within. A subsequent legal effort by the
- 1:53:30few remaining residents failed to have the decisions reversed.
- 1:53:35And in 2002, the US Postal Service revoked Centralia ZIP
- 1:53:40code 17927. And despite $42 million worth
- 1:53:46of relocation payments and buyouts.
- 1:53:50The last remaining residents were again ordered to leave but
- 1:53:54refused. They eventually reached an
- 1:53:57agreement with local and federal officials to allow them to live
- 1:54:02out the rest of their lives in their homes.
- 1:54:05And afterwards their homes would be seized under eminent domain.
- 1:54:10To ensure that no one else could live in the condemned areas.
- 1:54:15Centralia has since become a ghost town and a bit of a
- 1:54:19tourist attraction. Visitors come to see the smoke
- 1:54:23on its abandoned streets and to observe what seems like a scene
- 1:54:27frozen in time. And it's because of this creepy
- 1:54:31spectacle that many have reported seeing ghostly
- 1:54:34apparitions and strange creatures within the toxic fog.
- 1:54:40People who have visited Centralia over the years are
- 1:54:43more than often awestruck by what they see a gridwork of
- 1:54:47empty, nameless streets, remnants of properties such as
- 1:54:52steps to a front door that's no longer there, all surrounded by
- 1:54:56smoldering hillsides and devastated wasteland.
- 1:55:01There are three cemeteries that occupy the grounds of the church
- 1:55:05that was torn down years ago. And while no lives were lost
- 1:55:10during the tragedy, visitors have often reported seeing
- 1:55:13ghostly figures and hearing odd sounds and feelings as if they
- 1:55:18were being watched. And others have even speculated
- 1:55:22that the town is now an entrance to Hell itself.
- 1:55:26These are two stories that I could find of people
- 1:55:29experiencing such ghostly happenings.
- 1:55:32I visited Centralia last weekend with a couple of my friends, and
- 1:55:37I thought I might share a very weird experience I had while
- 1:55:40exploring the town. We were there for about an hour
- 1:55:44and a half and we were checking out the interesting locations
- 1:55:47that I had heard about, like the burning hillside, the crack in
- 1:55:52Route 61, and the streets without homes.
- 1:55:56We were in the area next to an old cemetery on the east side of
- 1:56:00town, east of Route 61. We had just checked out some old
- 1:56:05tombstones and were getting a whiff of smoke from the east so
- 1:56:10that we walked down the old gravel road to look around.
- 1:56:13We found a slag covered hillside with steam coming out of it, and
- 1:56:18when we heard what sounded like a voice saying something
- 1:56:21inaudible from down below where we were.
- 1:56:25All three of us heard it. We figured it was someone else
- 1:56:29checking out the area too, so we ignored it.
- 1:56:33Then we heard it again a little more clearly.
- 1:56:36A few words and it sounded like leave this place.
- 1:56:41At that moment, the hill we were standing on started steaming
- 1:56:44more. And it really began to stink.
- 1:56:48Like rotten eggs or sulfur, I guess.
- 1:56:52Well, it sort of spooked us, so we figured we'd better head back
- 1:56:55to the car. And as we were walking back to
- 1:56:58the area towards the cemetery, we heard it again.
- 1:57:03Not the same words and not as clear, but it was like why?
- 1:57:09Why did you come here? What was even weirder was that
- 1:57:13it sounded like someone was yelling it out of the bushes.
- 1:57:17It was quiet and kind of closer, but we couldn't figure out
- 1:57:21exactly which direction it was coming from.
- 1:57:25It was very weird. We got back to the car and
- 1:57:28didn't see any other cars or people the whole time we were
- 1:57:32there. We left and weren't really sure
- 1:57:35what to make of it. We really weren't sure if we
- 1:57:38wanted to talk about it either. But all I know is that I'm not
- 1:57:42going back. And when I got home, I found out
- 1:57:46that the area I was walking in was near the location where the
- 1:57:49fire started, just right across the road from the cemetery.
- 1:57:54And something is just not right about that place.
- 1:58:00My name is Jim and about a month ago my girlfriend Laurie and I
- 1:58:04were coming back from nobles and we decided to take 61 home and
- 1:58:09stop at Centralia to take a look as we did once before.
- 1:58:14First, let me say we're not superstitious.
- 1:58:18In fact, we're quite the opposite.
- 1:58:21We like checking out abandoned places and old buildings, old
- 1:58:24cemeteries and that sort of thing.
- 1:58:28We've seen a lot of old abandoned homes over the years.
- 1:58:32And we checked out Centralia about a month ago and it really
- 1:58:35gave us a fright. It was a wide, abandoned twin
- 1:58:39home up on the side of the street on a hill.
- 1:58:43There were two units and both had red numbers sprayed on the
- 1:58:47front, which indicated, from what I gathered from the other
- 1:58:50homes, that it was probably set to be demolished in the near
- 1:58:54future. So we decided to check it out.
- 1:58:59The back door was open, so we went in.
- 1:59:03Some of the first four windows were boarded up, making it dark,
- 1:59:07but we explored the old house a little.
- 1:59:10We were on the 2nd floor on the hallway near the stairs that led
- 1:59:14up and down to the first and third floors.
- 1:59:18The door was open, leading to the third floor.
- 1:59:21Laurie was in the hallway while I was at the top of the steps
- 1:59:25that led downstairs. At this point we heard footsteps
- 1:59:30coming from the stairs from the third floor.
- 1:59:34It sounded to me that the steps were coming from the ceiling
- 1:59:37above. But also going down as well.
- 1:59:41So my first thought was that perhaps someone was living in
- 1:59:45the attic, maybe a third floor bedroom or something.
- 1:59:50At first we were startled and really were worried that someone
- 1:59:54else was in the house. And as the footsteps sounded
- 1:59:58like they were going to reach the 2nd floor hallway, Laurie
- 2:00:02looked into the stairwell, expecting to see someone, and
- 2:00:06there wasn't anyone there. At the same time, we looked down
- 2:00:10the steps to the first floor and saw no body.
- 2:00:15We just stared at each other for a few seconds and I promptly
- 2:00:19asked do you want to leave? And she said yes.
- 2:00:23We made a B line to the back door where we came in and out to
- 2:00:27the car. We drove about 100 feet or so
- 2:00:31and stopped to look back at the house looking at the windows.
- 2:00:34I mean, we expected to see someone looking at us.
- 2:00:38But there was nothing though. It was really weird.
- 2:00:42Like someone had walked down those stairs, but we couldn't
- 2:00:45see them. And it freaked us out.
- 2:00:49Anyways, I just don't know what to make of the whole situation.
- 2:00:58The coal mine fire of Centralia was indeed a tragedy and its
- 2:01:03mine speculation that although none was lost during the
- 2:01:06situation. Perhaps the collective trauma
- 2:01:09was enough to stir up whatever could have been lurking there.
- 2:01:13Or attracted something that wasn't there before.
- 2:01:17Losing your home and essentially your history due to an accident
- 2:01:22and really for any reason at all, must have been devastating.
- 2:01:26And if there happens to be anybody listening with close
- 2:01:29ties to everything, my heart really does go out to you.
- 2:01:34As for now, the legend of Centralia continues to live on
- 2:01:37as a desolate place where there is no people and no happiness.
- 2:01:44A smouldering wasteland. A true.
- 2:01:48Silent Hill. Hidden away, deep within the
- 2:01:53Forest of Belgium, there lies a heavily guarded castle that is
- 2:01:58said to be the home of unspeakable horrors.
- 2:02:02Legends are abundant and strange surrounding this secluded
- 2:02:06building. It's so forbidden that few
- 2:02:09locals will even dare to speak of its existence.
- 2:02:13Satanic rituals of every debaucherous level are said to
- 2:02:17take place within its stone walls.
- 2:02:20So join me as we unlock the secrets and tell the untold
- 2:02:25story of Chateau de Armoise, better known as the Mothers of
- 2:02:31Darkness Castle. There is a fine line between
- 2:02:38speculation, legend and fact with this case.
- 2:02:43But I will do my best to relay the information I found.
- 2:02:47And you can draw your own conclusions.
- 2:02:49It's been said that the elite who run this world love their
- 2:02:53seclusion, from the ultra rich private estates and gated
- 2:02:57communities to places that no one outside of their inner
- 2:03:01circles have ever seen. They are said to practice
- 2:03:04terrible and perverse rituals and locations such as these,
- 2:03:08often to honor and worship their ancient gods, keeping what they
- 2:03:13do far from the prying eyes of the public.
- 2:03:18This castle is allegedly one of them.
- 2:03:22Hidden beneath the guise of thick forest along the Belgium
- 2:03:25and French border lies Chateau de Armoise, better known as the
- 2:03:30Mothers of Darkness Castle. Truth seekers and
- 2:03:34self-proclaimed researchers have dubbed this creepy place as one
- 2:03:39of the illuminatis many ritual sites.
- 2:03:42During my own personal research, I found that finding details
- 2:03:46proved rather difficult because little information on the site
- 2:03:50is available through simple search.
- 2:03:52To find details on a place such as this, one has to dig deeper,
- 2:03:57so to speak. There are barely any photos of
- 2:04:00the castle from the outside, especially closer to modern
- 2:04:03times, and they're barely exist any interior photos whatsoever.
- 2:04:09The current owners and true conspiracy fashion seem to be
- 2:04:13doing everything they can to keep it this way.
- 2:04:16Both the BBC and the National Geographic, as well as many
- 2:04:20smaller outlets, have been denied access to the castle on
- 2:04:24numerous occasions. The castles wooded exteriors,
- 2:04:28heavily guarded, monitored with many cameras and laced with
- 2:04:32electrical fences, barbed wire and trip lines.
- 2:04:37Those who have dared to venture close enough without getting
- 2:04:40caught have noted that many of the security devices in place
- 2:04:44are state-of-the-art. The castle was originally built
- 2:04:50in 1849 by the Count of Mesnil. He then sold the property to
- 2:04:56Theodore Vandernoot. The 8th Marcus of Ash in 1859,
- 2:05:03and then another ten years after that sale, it was sold to Prince
- 2:05:08Philip, Count of Flanders, who belonged to the notorious Sax
- 2:05:12Coburg and Gotha bloodline. This is the same bloodline who
- 2:05:17the current British royal family is descended from.
- 2:05:21All of whom can be traced back to Vlad the Impaler.
- 2:05:25The original Dracula. Although the exact purchase date
- 2:05:29is unknown. The modern owners of the castle
- 2:05:33are an elite Belgium family known as the solves.
- 2:05:38The Solvates are one of the wealthiest families in Belgium.
- 2:05:42Among many holdings, they own large pharmaceutical and
- 2:05:46chemical companies, both of which produce some products that
- 2:05:50have become household names. This includes the antidepressant
- 2:05:54drug Prozac and the chemical fluoride.
- 2:05:58The fluorine products they specialize in are for creating
- 2:06:01consumables such as in toothpaste and drinking water.
- 2:06:07As mentioned earlier in this video, the castle is better
- 2:06:11known by its English name, the Mothers of Darkness.
- 2:06:14This name was given to it by researchers who have claimed
- 2:06:18that a coven of elite witches known as the Mothers of Darkness
- 2:06:22convene here for a diaspora of rituals.
- 2:06:26They are claimed to be adept witches who come from extremely
- 2:06:30old satanic families. And they convene on certain
- 2:06:35dates and times to perform macabre rituals that would
- 2:06:39disgust and terrify anyone who dared to witness.
- 2:06:44Although it's easy to demonize these women, we also have to
- 2:06:48think of how they got here. They are said to be the subjects
- 2:06:52of satanic ritual abuse from an extremely early age.
- 2:06:57These rituals often include physical, sexual and mental
- 2:07:01abuse, all of which result in a dissociative disorder which
- 2:07:06allows them to be easily programmable.
- 2:07:09As they grow older, they too will participate in the ritual
- 2:07:13abuse of the young, just as they experienced.
- 2:07:17And the cycle begins anew. The dissociative disorder they
- 2:07:21typically develop is multiple personality disorder as a result
- 2:07:26of the abuse fracturing their minds very early.
- 2:07:30They assume the identities of numerous people.
- 2:07:33Each one serving their own function.
- 2:07:36When they become women and are ready to be fully initiated as
- 2:07:39witches within the coven, the ritual is said to be performed
- 2:07:44at Chateau de Armoir. However, this isn't the only
- 2:07:49reason the castle is cursed. Given its owners and its
- 2:07:54location, it has also been rumored to be one of the many
- 2:07:57sites of the Illuminatis rituals.
- 2:08:00One such ritual is known as eyes wide shut.
- 2:08:05This sickening ritual typically involves the abuse of children
- 2:08:09and is videotaped as potential blackmail in case anyone dares
- 2:08:14speak about it. The corruption of a child is the
- 2:08:17corruption of innocence, and they do this in order to please
- 2:08:21their God, bail. But soon these alleged rumors
- 2:08:26would be proven to be reality. Many of these sick details were
- 2:08:35revealed during the infamous Mark Dutroux scandal that rocked
- 2:08:39Belgium in 1996. In case you aren't familiar, let
- 2:08:45me quickly fill you in. Children in the 90s in Belgium
- 2:08:49were going missing at an alarming rate.
- 2:08:53And in August of 1996, Belgian police discovered two children
- 2:08:58who had been abducted and imprisoned, and a basement
- 2:09:02dungeon near Charlotte, the second largest town and
- 2:09:07Belgium's French speaking region.
- 2:09:09As the search continued, the police began to connect the dots
- 2:09:13and soon tapes and bodies would begin to be discovered.
- 2:09:18The arrest of Marc Dutroux and the details that would go public
- 2:09:22shortly after not only shocked the country, but the world.
- 2:09:27And this almost sparked a revolution.
- 2:09:30Despite several credible tip offs, it took the police four
- 2:09:34years to arrest Dutrow. Who had been abducting,
- 2:09:38murdering an overall exploiting children for the political elite
- 2:09:43of Belgium's left wing socialist government.
- 2:09:47The populace was not only shocked by the crimes that had
- 2:09:50taken place, but that Dutroux was being protected by the
- 2:09:53government that was in power. He received generous government
- 2:09:57benefits following his initial imprisonment.
- 2:10:01Investigations into prominent cases believed to be involved
- 2:10:05were being blocked by higher ups.
- 2:10:08And this was all at the expense of the taxpayer.
- 2:10:12The man was then only given 13 years for his horrific crimes
- 2:10:16and which he would only go on to serve 3.
- 2:10:19During this time, he was given monthly checks from the welfare
- 2:10:23state. Loads of free time.
- 2:10:25Guests and more. He then used these funds to
- 2:10:30purchase more estates, which he built multiple dungeons in and
- 2:10:34continued his sickening activities.
- 2:10:37Multiple scandals similar to this one were uncovered in the
- 2:10:41years to come. All of which seemed to tie into
- 2:10:44one another and linked to the Walloon socialist government as
- 2:10:49well. Although despite this, there was
- 2:10:52no decline in voter support for them.
- 2:10:56All of these emerging details would lead one Belgian
- 2:10:59politician to say that big business, blackmail and lots of
- 2:11:04money are involved here, and a highly sophisticated
- 2:11:08organization. The entertainment was not just
- 2:11:11sex, it involved sadism. Torture and murder.
- 2:11:17The system of blackmail has been and is still in place, running
- 2:11:21to this day all over the Western world.
- 2:11:24Many of the Dutro scandal files named such activities taking
- 2:11:28place in castles. And one such was named in
- 2:11:32particular. That was Chateau de Armoise.
- 2:11:40Belgium city of Brussels hosts the official Council of the
- 2:11:44European Union. And often hosts some of Europe's
- 2:11:48power brokers during these Council meetings.
- 2:11:51Many of whom would be named in the scandal.
- 2:11:55Councilmen themselves, lawyers and high-ranking judges and the
- 2:12:00government. All of which took place or
- 2:12:03attended in orgies organized by Detro's organization.
- 2:12:08These details surrounding the case would also describe grisly
- 2:12:12rituals known as hunting parties.
- 2:12:17During these hunting parties, abducted children were allowed
- 2:12:21to run away in the forest, while massed groups of the elite would
- 2:12:25hunt them down like animals. This was also called the most
- 2:12:30dangerous game. A seemingly favorite of the
- 2:12:35attendees because it got their adrenaline flowing and allowed
- 2:12:40them to feel something. This is an audio clip from
- 2:12:44someone who claims to be a satanic ritual abuse survivor.
- 2:12:50It was early evening when they played most dangerous game.
- 2:12:55I was stripped of my clothing. I was allowed to wear tennis
- 2:12:58shoes and told that I could have.
- 2:13:00I had to start and begin running before I would be hunted down.
- 2:13:05My exposure to it resulted in my believing I had no place to run
- 2:13:11and no place to hide. You see, there were no limits to
- 2:13:16what could happen in my existence at that time.
- 2:13:20Was the most extreme, one of the most extreme situations I think
- 2:13:23ever, ever survived? 1 Prosecutor would go on to say
- 2:13:29that it was like something out of the Middle Ages.
- 2:13:32Not only all the disturbing details of the crimes, but the
- 2:13:36mere existence of satanic cults right before our eyes.
- 2:13:41One such cult that was named in the files is known as a
- 2:13:46brasseux. Abrasax is a word of cabalistic
- 2:13:50origin. This group is known to worship a
- 2:13:54demon by the same name that dates back to Egyptian times.
- 2:13:59The Basilian sect of Gnostics of the 2nd century claimed Abraxis
- 2:14:04as their God. And believed that Jesus Christ
- 2:14:08was merely a phantom sent to earth by him.
- 2:14:11They believed that his name contained great mysteries, and
- 2:14:14that it was composed of the seven Greek letters which formed
- 2:14:18the number 365, the number of days in the year, and so that
- 2:14:23under his command he had the other 364 gods at his disposal.
- 2:14:29He is depicted in ancient amulets as a demon with the head
- 2:14:32of a king with a serpent forming his feet, saying the ancient
- 2:14:37curse abracadabra while flailing a whip.
- 2:14:42The connection was discovered in a note to Dutro from an
- 2:14:45anonymous member calling themselves a new business.
- 2:14:48The note informed him that a very special ceremony was coming
- 2:14:52up and soon instructed him to provide presence for said
- 2:14:56ceremony. The presents were to be
- 2:14:59presented to the High Priestess of the oppressive order.
- 2:15:03And even gave details as to what age and gender the presence
- 2:15:08should be. Later eyewitness testimony would
- 2:15:12reveal that the Abraxis ceremony consisted of the defilement and
- 2:15:16murder of those presents within the walls of Chateau de armoire.
- 2:15:22And afterwards their blood would be collected and placed in small
- 2:15:26pots, and which quill pens would be dipped in, and then an
- 2:15:30account would be written as to what had taken place, as to hail
- 2:15:35their God and bring about the ultimate plan.
- 2:15:39But the plan was never revealed. It would later be revealed
- 2:15:45through investigative work that heavy corruption, deliberate
- 2:15:49sabotage of DNA testing and much more had taken place.
- 2:15:54The citizens of Belgium who had uncovered the horrifying truth
- 2:15:58about the situation gathered in protest and multiple cities with
- 2:16:03the largest crowd being over 30,000 people.
- 2:16:07After the removal of several judges, detectives and high
- 2:16:12government officials, the Dutroux case was re examined.
- 2:16:17Initially the information on the Abraxis colt was not followed up
- 2:16:22on, but once again. With proper Detective work this
- 2:16:26time, it was uncovered that many of the alleged happenings truly
- 2:16:30did take place. Along with the castle, rituals
- 2:16:35also took place in a wooden house that was owned by a man by
- 2:16:39the name of Bernard Weinstein. Dutroux would later admit to
- 2:16:43murdering Weinstein and placing his body, along with numerous
- 2:16:48children's corpses on the property, which Dutrow then
- 2:16:52purchased at a fire sale rate after he murdered him.
- 2:16:57It was uncovered that the cult part took and sexual abuse as
- 2:17:01well as murders there. Anubis would be uncovered as a
- 2:17:05man named Francis de Schmidt, and the aforementioned high
- 2:17:10priest would be identified as Dominic Kindermann's.
- 2:17:15Throughout the investigation, it would be uncovered that at least
- 2:17:19four policemen there in Charlotte were also members of
- 2:17:22the cold. One was even a city treasurer.
- 2:17:26After this revelation, the headquarters of the Institute of
- 2:17:30Abraxis was raided in 1996 by 150 officers.
- 2:17:37Video evidence of the rage showed police taking away bags
- 2:17:40of papers, videotapes, as well as many strange occult items,
- 2:17:46including human skulls. After everything was said and
- 2:17:49done, Marc Dutroux was ultimately charged with the
- 2:17:53murder of 11 children and numerous other crimes.
- 2:17:58You would then be given multiple life sentences and is still
- 2:18:01serving those years. Within solitary confinement, a
- 2:18:05monster truly was put behind bars.
- 2:18:09However, most of Dutroux's high profile clients would get off
- 2:18:14Scott free. And the case files, to this day
- 2:18:17are still classified and unable for full, unredacted viewing by
- 2:18:22the public. But this hasn't stopped some of
- 2:18:25the files from being leaked online.
- 2:18:28In 2009, the infamous whistleblower organization known
- 2:18:32as WikiLeaks posted several of its documents for public viewing
- 2:18:36on the Internet. The Belgium government, however,
- 2:18:40moved quickly to scrub these from the web as fast as
- 2:18:44possible. They claimed it was.
- 2:18:46Because certain people were mentioned who hadn't done
- 2:18:48anything but were mentioned during the investigation, and
- 2:18:52that they didn't want them to come under any unjust scrutiny.
- 2:18:56But it would leave many of us to speculate that there had to
- 2:19:00truly be something more. Given its picturesque views,
- 2:19:05stunning natural features and the fact that it's a hub of both
- 2:19:09the EU and NATO, along with the facts exposed have led many
- 2:19:14researchers to claim that Brussels as a hub for the elite,
- 2:19:18otherwise known as the New World Order.
- 2:19:22High-ranking officials, politicians, bankers and
- 2:19:26businessmen stop in Belgium. And justice might take a trip.
- 2:19:32To Chateau de armoire. Are one of the region's many
- 2:19:36supposed satanic estates. To seal their deal and
- 2:19:41participate in one of the many rituals required to make them a
- 2:19:45success. One such person was a man by the
- 2:19:49name of Ronald Bernard. Who claimed that the world's
- 2:19:53elite did indeed participate in these rituals because he himself
- 2:19:58was asked to do so. Bernard became a major player at
- 2:20:02the highest levels of finance. And details not only the world
- 2:20:06of the elite and what he was asked to do, but just who the
- 2:20:10elite truly are. And just how long this has been
- 2:20:13going on for? The entire interview is
- 2:20:16extremely interesting to say the least, and I urge you to watch
- 2:20:20it linked down in the description below once this
- 2:20:23video is over with. Here are several clips of his
- 2:20:27now infamous whistleblower interview.
- 2:20:32The level I played at in those five years and that didn't
- 2:20:36happen overnight. You need to earn your place.
- 2:20:40I am skilled at connecting the dots information in order to
- 2:20:43achieve a full picture of all the things involved.
- 2:20:48Open the building near metal car to call me near your world,
- 2:20:52since through the financial world you learn all of the
- 2:20:54actual truth. So you say all in what regard?
- 2:20:58Well, your clients give you glimpses of how the world really
- 2:21:02works. In hindsight, I still didn't
- 2:21:07know everything, but I did know a lot because my clients were
- 2:21:11banks who didn't want blood on their hands.
- 2:21:14But within those banks there always is a number of people who
- 2:21:17know damn well what is going on. So like 1% within a bank knows
- 2:21:22the truth of the matter regarding the happenings within
- 2:21:25the world, which is not surprising considering they are
- 2:21:29involved in the flows of money. Those are your clients.
- 2:21:32You also have governments to deal with.
- 2:21:35The multinationals, you have to deal with secret services and
- 2:21:39what they now call terrorist organisations.
- 2:21:42You get all of the groups that are involved with the big money
- 2:21:45as clients. Then you start seeing the
- 2:21:48connections. So they might be
- 2:21:50compartmentalized, as you just mentioned regarding knowledge.
- 2:21:54But because I am in the middle, I see how they relate to
- 2:21:57another. You see the money coming from
- 2:21:59this place, then going to that place, etcetera.
- 2:22:02You keep gaining information and thereby.
- 2:22:05An overview of what is really going on, but now am I do is
- 2:22:09about secret services. You think they are there to
- 2:22:13serve and protect our people, country, et cetera, but they
- 2:22:16actually turn out to be the criminal organizations to be
- 2:22:20more precise. The system is heavily so.
- 2:22:24Give me now, yeah, we are talking about financing wars,
- 2:22:28creating wars, so basically creating a lot of misery in this
- 2:22:32world. So lots of conflict.
- 2:22:39And then I think to myself, if only people knew what the world
- 2:22:43is really like, secret services will stop at nothing.
- 2:22:49Nothing. But they also have their flows
- 2:22:52of money because if they are trading in drugs or weapons or
- 2:22:56for that matter, people. All that money has to go
- 2:23:02somewhere. Everything has to be financed.
- 2:23:07But you could confirm they are doing this.
- 2:23:10All of them. All of them.
- 2:23:12So the entire world as we think we know it is just an illusion
- 2:23:16we believe in. Start pulling out from all the
- 2:23:21air. However, all those horrible
- 2:23:23things started to eat at me. Can you give an example?
- 2:23:28Because I can sense a lot of terrible things happen to you.
- 2:23:32Yes, it is difficult for me to talk about.
- 2:23:36I can feel that. But only whatever you wish to
- 2:23:38share is all right. Yes, I only talk about things I
- 2:23:43want to tell, but it does evoke lots of emotions, and with my
- 2:23:47conscience not being in the freezer, it touches me deeply.
- 2:23:52I feel the same way. All right.
- 2:23:55Can you tell me the worst thing that has happened that caused
- 2:23:58the tipping point in your situation?
- 2:24:01Hello, I'm done. Now, well, that was the
- 2:24:05beginning of the end. You get so deep into these
- 2:24:08circles. You've taken to a cyclical and
- 2:24:13you sign a lifetime contract, not with blood or anything, to
- 2:24:17never disclose names of companies, organizations, or
- 2:24:20people. I think that is why I am still
- 2:24:25alive. You have to, to put it
- 2:24:27carefully, most of these people followed not very mainstream
- 2:24:31religion. So you have Catholics,
- 2:24:33Protestants, all sorts of religions.
- 2:24:37These people, most of them were luciferians.
- 2:24:41And then you can say religion is a fairy tale, God doesn't exist.
- 2:24:46None of that is real. Well, for these people it is
- 2:24:50truth and reality. And they served something.
- 2:24:53Material what they called Lucifer.
- 2:24:57Madam. But then, at some point I was
- 2:24:59invited, which is why I'm telling you all this to
- 2:25:03participate in sacrifices. Abroad.
- 2:25:17That's what should break. That was the breaking point.
- 2:25:23Children. You were asked to do that, yes,
- 2:25:31and I couldn't do that. Unfortunately, the truth is that
- 2:25:38worldwide they have been doing this for thousands of years.
- 2:25:42I once studied theology and even in the Bible you find references
- 2:25:47to these practices with Israelites.
- 2:25:50The reason the 1st 10 tribes were banished to Babylonia was
- 2:25:54because of these rituals with children.
- 2:25:58That kinder including the sacrificing of children.
- 2:26:02So this is pertinent. All this made me believe because
- 2:26:06I realized there was more to life than meets the eye.
- 2:26:09There is a whole invisible world.
- 2:26:12It is real you. Much later, in all those studies
- 2:26:16and discoveries, I found a document which they are claiming
- 2:26:19is bullshit. Of course the Protocols of Zion.
- 2:26:23And nowadays I recommend everyone to read the whole of
- 2:26:26that incredibly boring document. Just work through it.
- 2:26:30Read it though. We are also talking about
- 2:26:34Zionism. Yes of course, if you read the
- 2:26:38Protocols of Zion. And really study them and
- 2:26:43understand. Then it is like reading the
- 2:26:47newspaper of the daily life. How from their position of
- 2:26:52ultimate power and ultimate titas literally become?
- 2:26:56Vertical team order. But that is only because the
- 2:27:00people don't stand up for themselves.
- 2:27:04They don't realise what reality is.
- 2:27:07After detailing what he had experienced from beginning to
- 2:27:11his crash and rise out of the proverbial ashes.
- 2:27:15Ronald Bernard thought he was finally free of his former life.
- 2:27:20He eventually would go on to marry a woman and move to the
- 2:27:23United States. But his story would
- 2:27:26unfortunately end here. In August of 2017, Bernard, who
- 2:27:32had been living in Florida with his wife.
- 2:27:35Went missing after he went on a walk on a nature trail shortly
- 2:27:40after 1:00 PM near his home. He called 911 around 3:46 PM,
- 2:27:46seeming distressed and stating that he was lost.
- 2:27:51Although many attribute this to possible dementia, Bernard had
- 2:27:55no medical history of this condition and had showed no
- 2:27:58prior signs. Between his initial phone call
- 2:28:02and 6:13 PM, he phoned the authorities several more times
- 2:28:07and told them that he was being followed and that his life was
- 2:28:11in danger. Through pinging his cell phone,
- 2:28:15authorities sent several search units, canines and a helicopter
- 2:28:20to the area. Bernard was then found floating
- 2:28:24face down at approximately 8:24 PM and a shallow stream of
- 2:28:29water. His cause of death has yet to be
- 2:28:33revealed. It has long since been
- 2:28:38speculated that the world's aristocracy worships an unseen
- 2:28:42force. One of complete darkness that
- 2:28:46will do anything and everything to destroy what it perceives as
- 2:28:51a threat. Many of these high-ranking
- 2:28:54officials are seemingly above the law.
- 2:28:58At the 1988 Republican National Convention.
- 2:29:01As Loyalists waved their flags and cheered the man who accepted
- 2:29:05their party's nomination for president and would later win
- 2:29:09and my friend, President Ronald Reagan.
- 2:29:20I accept your nomination for President.
- 2:29:45Say it from the cities to the suburbs to the loneliest town on
- 2:29:49the quietest St to take our message of hope and growth for
- 2:29:56every American, to every American, I will keep America
- 2:30:00moving forward, always forward, for a better America, for an
- 2:30:06endless enduring dream and 1000 points of life.
- 2:30:10He would later go on to reference 1000 Points of Light
- 2:30:13again during his presidential inauguration.
- 2:30:16Speech. I've spoken of 1000 Points of
- 2:30:21Light. He then will continue to make
- 2:30:24numerous references to the New World order.
- 2:30:26We have before us the opportunity to forge for
- 2:30:30ourselves and for future generations, a new world order,
- 2:30:34a world where the rule of law, not the law of the jungle,
- 2:30:39governs the conduct of nations. When we are successful.
- 2:30:44And we will be. We have a real chance at this
- 2:30:47new world order in order in which a credible United Nations
- 2:30:51can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision
- 2:30:56of the UN's founders. Most Americans have no clue what
- 2:31:01this phrase meant, but researchers have since decoded
- 2:31:05it. Inside the mothers of Darkness
- 2:31:07Castle there is a special ceremony room reserved for the
- 2:31:11highest levels of the elites rituals.
- 2:31:15It is a spectacular room with a domed ceiling.
- 2:31:19Which contains 1000 Points of Light.
- 2:31:25Among these researchers were many former high-ranking
- 2:31:28Satanists themselves. One such person is a man by the
- 2:31:33name of Stephen Dallins. And this is what he had to say
- 2:31:37in regards to the reference made by the former president.
- 2:31:41But nobody bothered to question that.
- 2:31:44And he said that at least four to six times.
- 2:31:48I talked to a lady just recently in Baltimore.
- 2:31:52She came up right after the meeting in Baltimore, and she
- 2:31:55came up and she said everything that you said tonight, I can
- 2:31:58verify, she said. Because I was George Bush's
- 2:32:02campaign manager and she proved it.
- 2:32:05She pulled out the campaign. Manage your badge that she had
- 2:32:09when she was campaign manager when he was going into to for
- 2:32:13for presidential election and she said I was there the night
- 2:32:17that he made that address and she says now I understand what
- 2:32:20that meant. Because, she said.
- 2:32:23I looked at George and I said after he stepped off the
- 2:32:26platform, I said, George, I want to be, I don't know about that
- 2:32:30new world order thing, she said. But I want to be a part of that
- 2:32:33thousand Points of Light. And she said he grabbed her by
- 2:32:37the shoulder, looked her sternly in the face and said, I have no
- 2:32:41control over that. Did HW Bush and many former
- 2:32:45presidents visit a place such as Chateau de Armoir to help
- 2:32:49achieve their status? Testimonies such as these
- 2:32:52certainly make us think that they did.
- 2:32:55People over the years who have managed to get close to the
- 2:32:58castle have spotted numerous spy devices, booby traps and
- 2:33:03tripwires. One such man who apparently saw
- 2:33:06that the gate was open and was visiting the area with his
- 2:33:10girlfriend and another friend. Had sent his girlfriend up to
- 2:33:13knock on the door and an attempt to provoke an interaction.
- 2:33:18The gate then closed with her still inside.
- 2:33:22After an hour of fruitlessly trying to contact those within
- 2:33:25the walls, the young man went to the Belgian authorities who,
- 2:33:29after reaching out to the occupants of the castle, said
- 2:33:32that they had claimed they had never seen or heard from the
- 2:33:35couple before. That woman was never seen or
- 2:33:40heard from again. Some other rumors that are worth
- 2:33:44mentioning are that there is a series of tunnels that connect
- 2:33:48mothers of darkness to other locations throughout Belgium.
- 2:33:52For the transport of people for multiple purposes.
- 2:33:56Although no one has come forward with proof of this in particular
- 2:34:00or has lived to be able to do so.
- 2:34:04History provides us with a terrifying glimpse into the
- 2:34:07past, from psychopaths such as Vlad the Impaler to the
- 2:34:12Rothschilds and many more. We have numerous examples of the
- 2:34:16elites manipulating people for their own nefarious reasons and
- 2:34:21worshipping an unseen, sinister force.
- 2:34:25Is there truly a malevolent darkness that runs this world
- 2:34:29and seeks to destroy all light within it?
- 2:34:32Is there truly such a thing as the Illuminati?
- 2:34:36These questions and more are all up to your interpretation.
- 2:34:40But one thing is for certain. There is a darkness that
- 2:34:44surrounds Chateau de armoire. As well as numerous mysteries as
- 2:34:50thick as the fog that surrounds the forest it dwells in.
- 2:34:58What once seemed like a miraculous place to its early
- 2:35:01settlers slowly but surely collapsed under the weight of
- 2:35:06its own prophets and debauchery. And it's now said that the land
- 2:35:12in all items within this abandoned town are now cursed.
- 2:35:17This is a strange tale that intertwines legend with history.
- 2:35:22This is the untold story of Bodie, California.
- 2:35:35The year was 1859, and mining had began to decline along the
- 2:35:39western slope of the Sierra Nevada.
- 2:35:43Prospectors in search of riches beyond their wildest dreams
- 2:35:46began to cross the eastern slope.
- 2:35:50One such man was named William S Body.
- 2:35:54During his expedition, body would find gold near a place now
- 2:35:57known as Body Bluff. He would make camp there and
- 2:36:01continue to take his chances in order to collect his riches.
- 2:36:06His supplies and food would grow scarce, but his stash of gold
- 2:36:10Nuggets was growing ever larger. Powered by his insatiable love
- 2:36:15for a better life. Body continued on.
- 2:36:20However, as the year progressed and winter came over the area,
- 2:36:24he unfortunately would breathe his last breath.
- 2:36:28Bodie died in a snowstorm that very winter and would later be
- 2:36:32discovered by the future inhabitants of the town that
- 2:36:36would come to bear his name. His story, in its own way, would
- 2:36:40manifest within the settlement. Even down to its last days.
- 2:36:45As the search for gold continued, body's gold vein
- 2:36:49would be rediscovered and slowly but surely a mine was
- 2:36:53established as well as a mill. The year was now 1861 and the
- 2:36:59town known as Bodie was home to 20 miners.
- 2:37:03For the next 17 years to come, its population would grow
- 2:37:07steadily, but it would remain a rather insignificant mining
- 2:37:11camp. And that was until the mill was
- 2:37:14sold. Bunker Hill mine, as it came to
- 2:37:17be known on the West slope of Body Bluff, would change hands
- 2:37:21several times within the 17 years.
- 2:37:25Until it came into the possession of standard mining
- 2:37:28company. It was originally sold because
- 2:37:31the owners of Bunker Hill mine at the time believed that the
- 2:37:34well had run dry, so to speak, since their profits and gold
- 2:37:38discovery had been on a downward trajectory for many years.
- 2:37:43But after it was sold to standard, it was if a miracle
- 2:37:46had taken place. Just months after the sale, a
- 2:37:50significant vein of rich gold ore was discovered.
- 2:37:54Profits, as a result, rose dramatically.
- 2:37:58And by 1878, body's population had soared to over 5000 people.
- 2:38:04It's estimated that the mine would yield nearly $15 million
- 2:38:08worth of gold over the next 25 years.
- 2:38:12Profits that would be worth an estimated $400 million in
- 2:38:16today's money. Although all seemed to be going
- 2:38:19great in body, there were many hardships yet in store for the
- 2:38:23fledgling town and its citizens. The winter of 1878 was
- 2:38:29particularly savage. It's estimated that over 200
- 2:38:33people would lose their lives either due to exposure,
- 2:38:37hypothermia or disease. Others would be taken by fallen
- 2:38:43timber and one of several explosions to take place within
- 2:38:47the mines as the powder magazine mysteriously ignited.
- 2:38:54But despite the horror of the winter, frost body continued to
- 2:38:58grow. People of almost every walk of
- 2:39:01life would end up there. From miners to gamblers,
- 2:39:06prostitutes and businessmen. And by 1879, it had doubled in
- 2:39:13size to over 10,000 residents. It had added an additional 2000
- 2:39:19buildings and before long it supported over 30 gold mines, 65
- 2:39:24saloons, an untold amounts of brothels, gambling halls and
- 2:39:30opium dens. Opposite the brothels, gambling
- 2:39:34and opium smoking. The town also had several
- 2:39:38churches, banks and schools. 3 breweries within the town worked
- 2:39:44day and night brewing whiskey and 100 gallon barrels because
- 2:39:48Bodie seemed to have an insatiable thirst for alcohol.
- 2:39:53Like a perfect storm, body would soon earn a reputation for
- 2:39:57violence, lawlessness and debauchery of every kind.
- 2:40:03Killings at times were daily events.
- 2:40:06Robberies, stick ups and street fights all became frequent
- 2:40:11occurrences as well as the towns seemed to turn its back on God
- 2:40:15and worship its new found idol. One of gold and profit.
- 2:40:21It seemed like the good times for those who indulged
- 2:40:24themselves would never end. But they would.
- 2:40:29Given body's reputation, it's perhaps not surprising that one
- 2:40:34little girl whose family was moving to the mining town
- 2:40:37reportedly prayed. Good by God.
- 2:40:41We are going to body. For all of its construction,
- 2:40:46body needed vast amounts of lumber.
- 2:40:49And the problem was that there were scarce trees in the area.
- 2:40:53Soon, several businessmen formed the Bodie and Benton Railroad
- 2:40:57Company in 1881 for the sole purpose of sustaining that
- 2:41:03appetite for much needed lumber. However, for the citizens of
- 2:41:07body, this was not a good decision.
- 2:41:10In order to maximize profits, the company hired an expensive
- 2:41:14Chinese labor, much to the outrage of the locally
- 2:41:18unemployed. So with a large influx of cheap
- 2:41:22foreign labor, it soon helped drive the competing labor costs
- 2:41:26and to the ground, not just for the railroad, but for mining as
- 2:41:31well. This marked the beginning of the
- 2:41:33end of the town. The boom was over just one year
- 2:41:37later in 1882. Bodies started to rapidly
- 2:41:41decline. Prior to 1882, there were no
- 2:41:46churches within the town, but there were two preachers, one
- 2:41:50Methodist and one Catholic, who held services in their private
- 2:41:54homes. And despite of the town's
- 2:41:57decline, 2 churches would be built in 1882.
- 2:42:01One for each of the two faiths. However, both would not end up
- 2:42:06surviving. After the merging of Bodie and
- 2:42:10the standard mining companies in 1887.
- 2:42:14The town saw a brief revival in both wealth as well as
- 2:42:18population. But that too would be short
- 2:42:21lived. A series of fires would soon
- 2:42:24extinguish body for good. In 1892, a fire ravaged much of
- 2:42:30the business district, further depleting the population.
- 2:42:34And in 1898, a massive fire broke out and destroyed the once
- 2:42:40prosperous mill. And although it was a slow burn,
- 2:42:44metaphorically speaking, as far as the decline of the town.
- 2:42:48The final nail in the coffin was in 1932.
- 2:42:53When a 2 year old boy who had gotten a hold of his father's
- 2:42:56matches ended up lighting a fire that would destroy 95% of all
- 2:43:01buildings left within the town. In the years to come,
- 2:43:06prohibition and the Great Depression would entomb body.
- 2:43:10And although attempts were made to strike new gold.
- 2:43:13Companies, once record profits crashed.
- 2:43:18We are thus left with a tale of a city that flew too close to
- 2:43:21the sun. And burned.
- 2:43:24Showing that chasing profit and vanity, debauchery and lust
- 2:43:29yield a disastrous long-term consequences.
- 2:43:34After World War Two, only six people lived in the old
- 2:43:37settlement. And five of these six would soon
- 2:43:41meet strange and untimely deaths.
- 2:43:44The first was a man who seemingly went mad.
- 2:43:48Out of the clear blue sky, he woke up one day, loaded his
- 2:43:52pistol and shot his wife in broad daylight in the town
- 2:43:57centre. Three men witnessed this take
- 2:44:00place and quickly took action which would lead to the death of
- 2:44:04the man who had just killed his wife.
- 2:44:07And this is where things take a very weird turn indeed.
- 2:44:11According to each man, the ghost of the murdered man would visit
- 2:44:15them individually, tormenting them.
- 2:44:19And forbidding their rest. Soon all three would die of a
- 2:44:23mysterious and painful disease. Details on their condition are
- 2:44:29scarce. But thick and painful boils were
- 2:44:32said to envelope them. And within a matter of agonizing
- 2:44:36weeks, they would all perish. But the strange happenings
- 2:44:41didn't seem to stop with just those three men.
- 2:44:45After this body truly became a ghost town.
- 2:44:49By 1962, after years of neglect, it was designated as State
- 2:44:55Historical Park by the state of California, and Legends about
- 2:44:59this place seemingly stuck in time.
- 2:45:03One such legend is known as the body Curse.
- 2:45:07Supposedly, if visitors take anything from this town, even a
- 2:45:11Pebble. They will forever be cursed with
- 2:45:14terrible misfortune. One such victim claimed to have
- 2:45:18been struck with horrible luck and tragedy.
- 2:45:22Until they returned an item that they had stolen from a previous
- 2:45:25visit. And this isn't entirely
- 2:45:28speculation or superstition. However, the parks own Rangers
- 2:45:32claim it's a real phenomenon. Years ago, they began to keep a
- 2:45:36log of anyone who had offered to tell them that they were taking
- 2:45:40something from body. And the log book also contains
- 2:45:44pages upon pages of those same people returning those items and
- 2:45:49claiming the notorious curse. The curse is said to be
- 2:45:53perpetuated by the ghosts that live there who guard their
- 2:45:57riches against thieves as they are still searching for new
- 2:46:00gold. And despite the Park Rangers
- 2:46:03vouching for the happenings, many believe it's nothing more
- 2:46:07than silly superstition. But I for one wouldn't want to
- 2:46:11be the guy to test this out. There are many places I'd be
- 2:46:15willing to go to investigate, with body being one of them.
- 2:46:19But why take the chance of destroying your life for
- 2:46:21something that wasn't yours to begin with?
- 2:46:25Another ghostly legend is that of the haunting of the J Kane
- 2:46:29house at the corner of Green and Park Streets.
- 2:46:34James Stewart Kane or JS Kane had arrived in body when he was
- 2:46:39just 25 years old. Soon after his arrival, he
- 2:46:43entered the lumber transporting business and soon became a
- 2:46:47mogul. He would go on to own the body
- 2:46:51bank, a leasing company. And became the primary property
- 2:46:55owner within the town. The home is said to be haunted
- 2:46:59by the restless spirit of a Chinese maid.
- 2:47:03The maid apparently loves children who visit.
- 2:47:06But hates adults. Adults sleeping in the old house
- 2:47:10have said to be awake and frightened and breathless.
- 2:47:14Feeling the weight of another person sitting on their chest.
- 2:47:19Others have experienced doors opening and closing by
- 2:47:22themselves. And have even seen the
- 2:47:25apparition of the spirit herself knitting in the chair and the
- 2:47:29main room. And this isn't the only place
- 2:47:32that's claimed to be haunted that's still stands there.
- 2:47:35The Mendocino House is called home to several friendly ghosts.
- 2:47:40One who is thought to be Mrs Medicine herself.
- 2:47:44She loved cooking large Italian meals for her family.
- 2:47:48Guests and Park Rangers alike have reported smelling delicious
- 2:47:52aromas emanating from the house. Although no one has cooked there
- 2:47:57for over 100 years. Others have seen the spirit of a
- 2:48:02woman peering out of the top window of the Dockum view house.
- 2:48:06Almost as if the woman is still alive, but trapped in another
- 2:48:10time. Still dressed as though it's the
- 2:48:14early 1900s. And yet another ghost is known
- 2:48:19as the Angel of Body, and her home is the body cemetery.
- 2:48:24There is an old Angel statue that sits to guard her grave.
- 2:48:28The Angel was a 3 year old little girl who was said to have
- 2:48:32been accidentally killed when she was hit in the head by a
- 2:48:35slipped miners pickaxe. Visitors of her giggling,
- 2:48:40feeling a small hand tugging on their pant legs.
- 2:48:44And others have seen a little girl run from Tombstone to
- 2:48:47Tombstone. But upon rushing to find her.
- 2:48:51There's never anyone there. Body is now in a state of
- 2:48:55arrested decay. There are no permanent residents
- 2:48:59of the town except the park employees, and only about 10% of
- 2:49:03the original buildings still stand.
- 2:49:07And this ghost town? There are no maps, no
- 2:49:10restaurants or recreations. Here you get the real Ghost town
- 2:49:15experience. So if you find yourself in
- 2:49:18California and feel like taking a walk through time.
- 2:49:22Bodie just might be the place for you.
- 2:49:26But just remember, don't take anything.
- 2:49:30Or you just might become its newest resident Ghost.
- 2:49:37Immortality is a concept that most of us can't really fathom.
- 2:49:43That one could truly live forever.
- 2:49:46Although this would seem like a blessing, it could quickly
- 2:49:50develop into a curse watching everything and everyone you ever
- 2:49:56loved pass on. But you?
- 2:50:00Is it mere folklore, or can one truly discover the secret to
- 2:50:05defeating death? One such man, who was a European
- 2:50:09adventurer, has claimed to have done such a thing.
- 2:50:13He was born in the 1700s and was seen as late as the 1970s, with
- 2:50:20some believing his longevity reaching back to the time of
- 2:50:24Christ. Some of these claims seem
- 2:50:26farfetched, but could there be? For that needs the hourglass.
- 2:50:32This is the legend of such a man.
- 2:50:34This is the untold story. Of the Count of Saint Germain.
- 2:50:45The man who first became known as Saint Germain is speculated
- 2:50:49to have been born in Transylvania, although the exact
- 2:50:53date isn't known. Records kept have suggested it
- 2:50:57was on or around the year 1690. And many origin stories as to
- 2:51:03who he was and who he was born to very.
- 2:51:08Some say he was an outstation Jew, one of Europe's oldest sex.
- 2:51:14Whose true name was Simon Wolfe and was born in Strausbourg,
- 2:51:18Germany, close to the 1700s. Others that he was born to an
- 2:51:24Italian Princess and Sangermano and Savoy in 1710.
- 2:51:32But he himself would later claim to be the son of Francis the
- 2:51:36second, the Prince of Transylvania.
- 2:51:40Although no record exists of this.
- 2:51:42It would certainly account for his wealth and fine education
- 2:51:47from an early age, although it's hard to pinpoint exactly to who
- 2:51:52and where he was born. The count would go on to be
- 2:51:56educated in Italy by the last Medicis, Gian Gastone.
- 2:52:03He was also believed to be a student of the University of
- 2:52:07Siena. Unraveling the web of folklore
- 2:52:10almost seems like a monumental task, considering of what's
- 2:52:14recorded. The man himself spun a confusing
- 2:52:18web of differing stories and names, seemingly to disguise his
- 2:52:23true origin and name. However, what has been
- 2:52:28unanimously agreed upon is that Saint Germain became a master in
- 2:52:33the mystical science known as Alchemy.
- 2:52:38His main aim while conducting this alchemy was to achieve the
- 2:52:41ultimate goal of creating the elusive philosopher's stone,
- 2:52:46which would supposedly allow one to change lead into gold.
- 2:52:51Furthermore, the magical power of the stone could be extracted
- 2:52:56and placed in a potion granting immortality to those who drank
- 2:53:00it. County Saint Germain is believed
- 2:53:04to have discovered such a thing. He first came to prominence in
- 2:53:10high society in Europe in 1742. He spent five years in the Shah
- 2:53:16of Persia's court. Where he had learned the
- 2:53:19jeweler's craft. This allowed him to court those
- 2:53:22of high society. He gifted the Royals and rich of
- 2:53:26the upper class with vast amounts of beautiful jewelry,
- 2:53:30knowledge of science, history, music and language.
- 2:53:37Gifts of knowledge at this time were considered divine.
- 2:53:40They were essentially priceless, esoterically speaking.
- 2:53:45He was said to speak many languages fluently.
- 2:53:48These included French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese,
- 2:53:55Russian, English, Chinese, Latin, Arabic and even some
- 2:54:02aging Greek. It might have been his
- 2:54:05incredible intelligence that led to such acquaintances.
- 2:54:09But in 1760 we would see the notion put forth.
- 2:54:14A Saint Germain could perhaps be immortal.
- 2:54:18In Paris that year, the Countess von Giorgi heard that Jermaine
- 2:54:23had arrived for a soray at the home of Madame de Pompadour,
- 2:54:29mistress of King Louis the 15th of France.
- 2:54:33The aged Countess was bestowed with curiosity.
- 2:54:37She had originally met the count in 1740 and Venice.
- 2:54:42And upon meeting her old friend again, she noticed he hadn't
- 2:54:46aged, and initially thought that it might have been his father
- 2:54:50that she met in Venice. But it was indeed the very same
- 2:54:54man. Perplexed, she asked the count
- 2:54:57to detail their prior meeting, which he proceeded to divulge
- 2:55:02without missing a single detail. When the Madame said that's
- 2:55:07simply not possible, the count simply smiled and said I am
- 2:55:12indeed very, very old. During his time in France, he
- 2:55:17would go on to become a trusted diplomat to King Louis and would
- 2:55:21go on to perform secret missions for him and England.
- 2:55:26Mean to be always present and active.
- 2:55:29The man who never aged became quite the adventurer.
- 2:55:33In 1760, he attended a function in Hogg where he met the
- 2:55:38infamous lover Giacomo Casanova. Casanova later said this in
- 2:55:44regards to meeting him. This extraordinary man would
- 2:55:47say, in an easy, assured manner, that he was 300 years old.
- 2:55:52That he knew the secret of universal medicine.
- 2:55:55That he possessed mastery over nature and that he could melt
- 2:56:00diamonds with it. Germaine seemed to be
- 2:56:03everywhere. In 1762, he traveled to Russia,
- 2:56:08where it said that he assisted in a conspiracy that would
- 2:56:12ultimately place Catherine the Great on the throne.
- 2:56:15As a result, he would later become a trusted adviser to the
- 2:56:19commander of the Imperial Russian armies during their war
- 2:56:23against Turkey, which they would go on to win.
- 2:56:27After returning to Europe, he would continue his trek.
- 2:56:31In 1774 he returned to France, where then King Louis the 16th
- 2:56:37and Marie Antoinette now occupied the throne.
- 2:56:40Through a series of conversations amid the count
- 2:56:43playing violin for the couple, something that he was well
- 2:56:46documented at being incredible at, like many things in his
- 2:56:50life, he warned them of the revolution that was going to
- 2:56:53come in 15 years. But his warnings were apparently
- 2:56:58unheeded. Louis and Marie Antoinette would
- 2:57:02go on to meet their fates via the cascading blade of the
- 2:57:06guillotine. He would then reappear in 1779
- 2:57:11and Hamburg, Germany, where he befriended Prince Charles of
- 2:57:15Hesse Castle. Prince Charles also had a keen
- 2:57:19interest in mysticism and was a member of several secret
- 2:57:23societies. For the next five years he lived
- 2:57:27as a guest within the Princess Castle at Eckenberg.
- 2:57:31Here he was provided with a laboratory for alchemical
- 2:57:34experiments and attempted to teach the Prince what he knew
- 2:57:39and for all intents and purposes, this is where Saint
- 2:57:42Germain died on February 27th, 1784.
- 2:57:48His death was recorded in the Register of the Saint Nikolai
- 2:57:51Church and Econ Fort. He was then buried on March 2nd.
- 2:57:561784 his grave was there at the church cemetery.
- 2:58:01Since no relatives could be found, the counts possessions
- 2:58:04were auctioned off shortly after by the mayor of the city, but
- 2:58:09surprisingly enough, his story would not adhere, and for any
- 2:58:14mere mortal, this would be the end of a very interesting story
- 2:58:18to say the least. However, the count would
- 2:58:21seemingly reemerge not even a year after his supposed death.
- 2:58:27In 1785, Franz Anton Mesmer, the pioneer of mesmerism which would
- 2:58:33later evolve into what we know as hypnotism, claimed to have
- 2:58:37seen the count and have received advice from him for the basis of
- 2:58:41hypnotism. And personal magnetism.
- 2:58:45He claimed that initially, while seeking assistance in the
- 2:58:48development of mesmerism, received an anonymous letter to
- 2:58:52which he responded to. An unknown man then showed up on
- 2:58:56his doorstep in Vienna shortly after this correspondence.
- 2:59:00And after a 3 hour long conference, the Count revealed
- 2:59:04his identity to Mesmer. The two then arranged a further
- 2:59:08meeting in Paris, although not much is known what was discussed
- 2:59:12there. Later that year, official
- 2:59:16Freemason records will go on to show that they chose the count
- 2:59:20as an official representative for one of their conventions.
- 2:59:25After the taking of the Bastille during the French Revolution in
- 2:59:281789, the Comptus the Adamar said that she had a lengthy
- 2:59:34conversation with County Saint Germain, who allegedly told her
- 2:59:38of France's immediate future, as if he knew what was to come in
- 2:59:421821, she wrote. I have seen Saint Germain again.
- 2:59:47Each time, to my amazement, I saw him with the queen the day
- 2:59:51following her death. I also saw him on the day.
- 2:59:55Following the death of the Duke of Ingin and on the eve of the
- 2:59:59murder of the Duke of DeBary, last time I saw him was in 1820,
- 3:00:05and each time he looked like a man no older than his mid 40s.
- 3:00:10After 1821, Saint Germain may have taken on a new identity.
- 3:00:15In his memoirs, Albert Van Damme claimed to have met a man that
- 3:00:20bore striking resemblance to that of the count.
- 3:00:23He wrote. He called himself Major Frasier.
- 3:00:27He lived alone and never alluded to having any family.
- 3:00:31Moreover, he was lavish with money, though the source of his
- 3:00:34fortune remained a mystery to everyone.
- 3:00:38He possessed marvelous knowledge of all countries in Europe at
- 3:00:42all periods. His memory was absolutely
- 3:00:45incredible, and curiously enough, he often gave his
- 3:00:49hearers to understand that he had acquired this learning
- 3:00:53elsewhere other than from books. Many is the time he told me with
- 3:00:58a strange smile, and that he was certain he had known Nero had
- 3:01:03spoken with Dante. And so on.
- 3:01:07Odd as always. The man known as Major Frazier
- 3:01:10disappeared shortly after without a trace.
- 3:01:14It would be quite some time before this remarkable man made
- 3:01:17another reveal. Between 1880 and 1900, St
- 3:01:22Germaine's name once again became prominent.
- 3:01:25Members of a Theosophical society, including the famed
- 3:01:29Mystic Helena Blavatsky, claimed that he was still alive and was
- 3:01:34working on the spiritual development of the West.
- 3:01:37There is even a photo that was taken of Helena with the count.
- 3:01:41Many have claimed it to be a fake.
- 3:01:43And it's hard to tell, but this is the photo.
- 3:01:48And another tail that bore his name, the famed French singer
- 3:01:52Emma Cauv dedicated an autographed portrait of herself
- 3:01:56to Saint Germain. Perhaps he was a fan.
- 3:02:01Headed into the 20th century, we now have the most recent
- 3:02:05appearance of a man that claimed to be the Saint.
- 3:02:08The year was 1972. The city Paris.
- 3:02:13A man named Richard Chanfrau announced that he was the
- 3:02:16legendary count. He appeared on French television
- 3:02:21and to prove his claim. He turned lead into gold on a
- 3:02:24camp stove before the cameras. This would later be investigated
- 3:02:29by many magicians to find potential trickery, but nothing
- 3:02:33was ever uncovered. He attempted a magic career in
- 3:02:371973, starting in a Parisian theater.
- 3:02:41Announcing himself as the man who transmutes lead into gold.
- 3:02:46Things, however, did not go according to plan.
- 3:02:50In 1976, he met the singer known as Delida at the height of her
- 3:02:55fame. The two soon became infatuated.
- 3:02:59However, Richard soon grew paranoid.
- 3:03:02He often slept with a shotgun under his pillow and ended up
- 3:03:06shooting a man whom he found in his kitchen naked one night.
- 3:03:10The man, fortunately, was only superficially wounded and turned
- 3:03:14out to be the lover of one of the homes maids.
- 3:03:18Richard ended up doing a year in prison for the incident and was
- 3:03:22forced to pay 500,000 French francs in restitution.
- 3:03:27This incident marked the start of his decline.
- 3:03:31The couple soon ran out of money.
- 3:03:33Richard then attempted music, painting and sculpture, all to
- 3:03:38no success. The couple would break things
- 3:03:41off in 1981. None like prior appearances of
- 3:03:45the supposed count. Richard was last seen at a party
- 3:03:49in June of 1983. He was reportedly very thin, had
- 3:03:54white hair and looked exhausted. He had, prior to this, met a
- 3:03:59woman by the name of Paula Deluce, which apparently was an
- 3:04:04alias as well. She claimed to be a millionaire
- 3:04:08and would help Richard with his financial woes.
- 3:04:11However, she too was heavily in debt.
- 3:04:15After a brief romance, the two would commit suicide together on
- 3:04:20the 14th of July 1983. They ingested barbiturates while
- 3:04:26inhaling the exhaust of Richard's car.
- 3:04:29A nearby note read. I leave and I bring her with me
- 3:04:34because she is so like me. There have been brief mentions
- 3:04:40of the count since this, but nothing substantial.
- 3:04:44So in conclusion. Was the Count's identity stolen
- 3:04:48multiple times or was it the work of con man throughout the
- 3:04:52ages? Or just multiple cases of
- 3:04:55mistaken identity. Or did he even exist at all?
- 3:05:00All of these are certainly logical takes, no doubt.
- 3:05:03But could there really have been a man that unlocked the secrets
- 3:05:07of life and made himself immortal through alchemy,
- 3:05:12through the discovery of the elusive philosopher's stone?
- 3:05:17Or something similar. Until when and if he shows
- 3:05:21himself again, I suppose we'll never truly know.
- 3:05:26But one thing is for certain. The legend of the Count of Saint
- 3:05:30Germain. Is truly a strange mystery
- 3:05:34indeed. There are many places in this
- 3:05:42world that harbour darkness. Evil entities hiding in the
- 3:05:47shadows, waiting to strike when the time is right.
- 3:05:52Paranormal happenings seemed to be all around us.
- 3:05:55The house across the street could be haunted or even your
- 3:05:59own home, as many of you have experienced yourselves.
- 3:06:03When horrific events take place, they often seem to leave a wound
- 3:06:07upon the land. And the wounds often develop
- 3:06:11into scars. This is the story of a place
- 3:06:15that is claimed to be the most evil place in America.
- 3:06:19Where multiple mysterious deaths, supernatural occurrences
- 3:06:24and poltergeist activity have taken place.
- 3:06:28This is the untold story of willows weep.
- 3:06:34Located in Cayuga IN once home to Mound building Native
- 3:06:38American tribes and the sight of several battles between natives
- 3:06:43as well as natives and settlers, willows weep, as it would come
- 3:06:47to be known, was originally built in 1890 by a man by the
- 3:06:52name of Jesse Sykes. The home got its name from the
- 3:06:56large Willow tree that sits next to the house and the horrible
- 3:07:00events that would later take place there.
- 3:07:03The home is a cross or tea cottage with evident alterations
- 3:07:08that have been made over the years similar to, but slightly
- 3:07:12atypical of standard Victorian style homes at the time.
- 3:07:16Many theories exist as to why the home was built in the shape
- 3:07:19of an upside down cross facing the east, and other than the
- 3:07:23fact that he was a farmer, not much is known about Mr Sykes's
- 3:07:27personal day-to-day life. It wasn't uncommon for people to
- 3:07:31be very religious and superstitious back in those
- 3:07:34days. One theory is that it was
- 3:07:38constructed in such a way to ward off any evil that could be
- 3:07:41lurking near the Sykes family. Another theory that ties into
- 3:07:46this one is that the home rests on top of an ancient Native
- 3:07:50American burial ground. And after the arrival of the
- 3:07:54settlers, a hex was placed upon the land.
- 3:07:58Another more disturbing theory is that what if the home was
- 3:08:02constructed not to ward off evil?
- 3:08:05But to attract it and potentially trap it?
- 3:08:08As to encapsulate the ethereal realm in ours, and as to why
- 3:08:13someone would want to do that, we may never know.
- 3:08:16But it would certainly make sense given what would occur
- 3:08:19later on. The family originally included
- 3:08:23Jesse and his wife Elizabeth, but would later grow to include
- 3:08:27a son by the name of annual. It is speculated that annual
- 3:08:31later fathered several children with the woman next door, whose
- 3:08:35name was Marianne Petty. She would later take the Sykes
- 3:08:39last name. Although described as a good man
- 3:08:42who would go on to found a general store than the fledgling
- 3:08:45town, there seems to be a darker side to Jesse Sykes.
- 3:08:50He was charged in 1874 with incest for engaging in unlawful
- 3:08:55intercourse with the daughter of Mary Anne and his son Annuel, a
- 3:09:00girl named Elizabeth, after his own wife.
- 3:09:04From here, things seem to grow only stranger and more
- 3:09:08disturbing. One day while going to feed the
- 3:09:11hogs, Jesse Sykes met a gruesome and horrific death.
- 3:09:16Now in his later years and suffering from epilepsy, Jesse
- 3:09:21had some sort of a seizure while feeding over 100 hogs on his
- 3:09:24farm. And before his family knew it,
- 3:09:28he had fallen face first into the hogs pit.
- 3:09:31And was quickly devoured by the starving animals.
- 3:09:36Due to the location of the pen, his screams would fall upon deaf
- 3:09:41ears. Realizing that her husband was
- 3:09:44taking an unusual amount of time to feed the animals, Elizabeth
- 3:09:48went to check on him and found the animals fighting over what
- 3:09:52remained of Jesse. The site was so traumatic to Mrs
- 3:09:56Sykes that she would go on to spend several years in a mental
- 3:10:00institution. With the loss of his father and
- 3:10:03his mother being institutionalized, the home was
- 3:10:06given to Annuel, who had Marianne and her now six
- 3:10:10children move in. Annual will continue to run the
- 3:10:13family's general store and farm and would welcome his mother
- 3:10:17back some years later. She would then pass away from
- 3:10:21natural causes not soon after her return.
- 3:10:24Shortly after his mother's death, Annuel would unexpectedly
- 3:10:28drop dead as well from a cerebral hemorrhage.
- 3:10:32And the home was put up for auction shortly after.
- 3:10:36The home would then be purchased by a man named Robert Sandlin.
- 3:10:40Sandlin, just months after purchasing the property, would
- 3:10:44mysteriously die as well. Leading to a court battle over
- 3:10:47the home as well as the rest of his belongings amongst his
- 3:10:51children. Once settled, after quite some
- 3:10:54time, the home would again be purchased and sold twice in
- 3:10:58quick succession, just several years dating between sales.
- 3:11:03As to why this would happen, it's not exactly clear heading
- 3:11:08into the 21st century. In 1999, the home was again
- 3:11:12purchased by the Skinner family, consisting of husband and wife,
- 3:11:16Curtis and Cheryl Skinner. Not many details are available
- 3:11:20about what the family's home life or relationships were like,
- 3:11:24but it seems like willows weep has a track record of conjuring
- 3:11:28darkness within its owner's lives.
- 3:11:31Sadly, Cheryl would pass away from a cardiac event in 2001 and
- 3:11:37eight years later Curtis, two, would pass away but from a
- 3:11:41self-inflicted gunshot wound within the home.
- 3:11:44Like a curse, willows weep move generation to generation.
- 3:11:49And despite its now famous track record as being an evil place,
- 3:11:53it would then yet again be purchased in 2010 by Brenda
- 3:11:58Zimmerman, also known as Brenda Johnson, with the hopes to
- 3:12:02renovate the home for her and her son to live in.
- 3:12:06But shortly after the purchase, she began to have a very
- 3:12:09different view that made her question just what she had
- 3:12:12gotten herself into. The renovations began shortly
- 3:12:16after the purchase was finalized.
- 3:12:19Brenda and her son quickly got to work, starting with the
- 3:12:22ceiling, and right from the get go, things just didn't feel
- 3:12:27right. As her son was removing a
- 3:12:29section of ceiling to be replaced, several of the old
- 3:12:33boards on the wall flew off and hidden.
- 3:12:36Leaving him both shocked and terrified.
- 3:12:40After this event, Brenda hired a maintenance worker to assist in
- 3:12:43the renovation to do tasks that were out of their field of
- 3:12:47expertise. During his employment, the
- 3:12:50worker would find a human bone buried on the property.
- 3:12:53Unsure of what they were looking at, Brenda decided to take it to
- 3:12:57a friend of hers that was a local police officer.
- 3:13:00Given the aged appearance of the bone and the circumstances of
- 3:13:04how was found, she was given the option to either dispose of it
- 3:13:08or place it back where she had found it.
- 3:13:11Like most of the area's residents, the officer had heard
- 3:13:14of the ancient burial grounds and wasn't going to push his
- 3:13:17luck of the wrath of the unknown by further disturbing the grave.
- 3:13:23Faced with this task, Brenda decided to further research
- 3:13:26where the bone could have came from, and the result put a cold
- 3:13:30chill up her spine. Searching for answers, Brenda
- 3:13:34reached out to one of the living previous owners, who told her
- 3:13:38about a story that she had heard but couldn't confirm.
- 3:13:42The story was about a former tenant and her children roughly
- 3:13:45around the 1940s. The woman moved in with her two
- 3:13:49children, 1A little girl of about six years old and the
- 3:13:53other a teenage boy. Some of the locals were
- 3:13:57concerned about the children because they had heard stories
- 3:14:00about their mother. It said that she had gone
- 3:14:03through three different husbands and each one of them had died
- 3:14:07under mysterious circumstances. But other than gossip, not much
- 3:14:12else came out about her. Her children, however, were a
- 3:14:15very different story. It all starts with the little
- 3:14:19girl who one day goes missing. No one can find her, and no one
- 3:14:24has any idea as to where she could be.
- 3:14:27There is in fact no signs of her, as if she vanished into
- 3:14:32thin air. As a result, her older brother
- 3:14:36either due to the grief of losing his little sister or the
- 3:14:39torment within the house, or combination of both.
- 3:14:43Sadly hangs himself. And that is where Brenda
- 3:14:47believes the bone came from. She thinks it's possible that
- 3:14:50the little girl somehow passed and could have been buried by
- 3:14:54her mother upon the property. The bone would later be
- 3:14:57identified as an arm bone belonging to a young child.
- 3:15:02This disturbing discovery would soon be paired with even
- 3:15:05stranger paranormal activity within willows weep.
- 3:15:09Brenda describes that she's been scratched, revealing 6 claw
- 3:15:12marks several times. Doors and cabinets would
- 3:15:16regularly open and slam on their own, and there was often intense
- 3:15:21banging coming from within the walls and underneath the floors
- 3:15:25on more than one occasion. At this point she begins to
- 3:15:29believe the dark tales about the place she now owns and
- 3:15:33speculates if she could continue to own the property and end up
- 3:15:37like one of the previous owners. Or if she should take the risk
- 3:15:42and sell the home, possibly shifting the curse to someone
- 3:15:47new. No longer living at the
- 3:15:49residence as she had originally planned.
- 3:15:52Brenda takes to venting her frustrations to some local
- 3:15:55friends and eventually the war gets out about the dark past of
- 3:15:59the house. As well as the experiences that
- 3:16:02Brenda and others have endured there.
- 3:16:05And it soon captures the attention of local and national
- 3:16:09paranormal investigators eager to try and experience willows
- 3:16:13weave for themselves. One such investigator is a man
- 3:16:18by the name of David Spinks, who has been involved in several
- 3:16:21high profile cases. Spinks makes contact with Brenda
- 3:16:26and, along with several associates, begins to
- 3:16:28investigate the home and captures more EVP's in his first
- 3:16:32night there than at any other prior investigation which
- 3:16:36further intrigues him. Desperate to get to the bottom
- 3:16:40of what could be taking place there, Sphinx, along with other
- 3:16:43associates, head back to willows, weep for a follow up
- 3:16:46investigation. But as soon as Spinks and his
- 3:16:49colleagues enter, they are struck with an overwhelming
- 3:16:52sense of dread. And the dread is soon paired
- 3:16:56with crippling headaches. Unable to continue any further,
- 3:17:00they all head outside for some fresh air and continue to speak
- 3:17:04with Brenda. Brenda refuses to ever go back
- 3:17:07inside that one story. Portal to hell.
- 3:17:10Sphinx then does something unforeseen.
- 3:17:13Knowing that, Brenda wants to rid herself of willows, weep
- 3:17:16once and for all, and not wanting someone unsuspecting or
- 3:17:20unexperienced to deal with whatever could be lurking
- 3:17:23inside. He offers to purchase the home
- 3:17:26from Brenda so that he can further investigate with his
- 3:17:29team. Sphinx did end up purchasing the
- 3:17:32home, and the deal was finalized roughly in 2019.
- 3:17:37He has gone on to write several books and make a film about his
- 3:17:40findings there. But his actions have not gone
- 3:17:44without controversy. The children of the Skinner
- 3:17:47family, Adam and Haley's prior tenants, whose parents both
- 3:17:52passed away within the home, one from suicide, do not share the
- 3:17:56fears that others do, despite growing up there and dealing
- 3:18:00with their own dark happenings. They claim that their mother
- 3:18:04actually passed away at the hospital from a heart attack and
- 3:18:07that their father did indeed commit suicide within the house.
- 3:18:11But this was due to the fact that he had been diagnosed with
- 3:18:14cancer and couldn't afford his treatments.
- 3:18:17So they launched their own petition and media campaign to
- 3:18:21try and bar Dave Spinks from exploiting people's deaths to
- 3:18:24legitimize the haunting of willows.
- 3:18:27Weep. Why?
- 3:18:29I do understand where the Skinners are coming from.
- 3:18:31I don't necessarily think that Spinks engineered sad narratives
- 3:18:35in order to profit from the alleged haunting that's taking
- 3:18:38place there, given its strange and dark history, weird
- 3:18:42architecture, and the amount of tragedies that have unfolded
- 3:18:46upon the land in which willows. Weep now sits.
- 3:18:49It's hard to imagine if the place at a minimum didn't have
- 3:18:52some sort of a residual haunting attached to it.
- 3:18:55And I hope that with Spinks now owning the property that no one
- 3:18:59else will meet a mysterious and untimely fate, and that
- 3:19:03hopefully whatever terror that resides there can now slumber
- 3:19:08forever. Atchison, Kansas has become
- 3:19:13infamous over the years for its countless legends and ghost
- 3:19:17stories. Located in northeast Kansas,
- 3:19:21it's situated on the Bluffs of the Missouri River, offering
- 3:19:25sweeping views of the River Valley beyond.
- 3:19:28Grand Victorian homes and cobblestone roads were called
- 3:19:31Glorious Days, where wealthy lumber merchants and railroad
- 3:19:35magnates once occupied this town.
- 3:19:38But as one walks the streets today, they can't help but get a
- 3:19:41tingle up their spine and a cold shudder in their soul.
- 3:19:45Atchison is home to many haunted places, but today we are
- 3:19:49discussing a place that's said to harbor something demonic.
- 3:19:53Today we are discussing Sally's house here on mystery archives.
- 3:20:07The home that would become known as the Sally House was
- 3:20:10originally built in 1867 by the Finney family and would become a
- 3:20:15generational home. Several generations of the
- 3:20:19family would live there between 1867 and 1939.
- 3:20:24There are four confirmed deaths within the family during that
- 3:20:27time at which they lived at the home.
- 3:20:30Michael Finney in 1872, Charles Catharine's father of Kate
- 3:20:35Finney and Richard Finney in 1874, and finally Agnes Finney
- 3:20:40in 1939. The name Sally House originates
- 3:20:44from an unconfirmed death that allegedly took place within the
- 3:20:48home, but can't 100% be confirmed by historical records
- 3:20:54which weren't always kept at that time.
- 3:20:57The story goes that Charles Finney, the son of Michael and
- 3:20:59Kate. Went on to become a doctor and
- 3:21:03made the home his residence as well as his practice.
- 3:21:06The front served as the office space and examination room while
- 3:21:11the doctor and his family lived upstairs.
- 3:21:15One day a frantic mother arrived carrying her six year old
- 3:21:18daughter Sally, who had collapsed from severe abdominal
- 3:21:23pain. The doctor quickly diagnosed
- 3:21:25that the young girl was suffering from an appendectomy
- 3:21:28and knew that he had to take her into surgery immediately.
- 3:21:32Believing that the appendix would soon burst, he quickly
- 3:21:36laid Sally onto an operating table, wrapped himself, and gave
- 3:21:40her the general anesthesia that was available at the time, which
- 3:21:44was more like ether. This placed her under so that
- 3:21:48the surgery could begin the doctor.
- 3:21:51Fully dressed for surgery began the operation.
- 3:21:55The only problem was that Sally wasn't fully asleep.
- 3:21:59As the first abdominal incision was made, the young girl began
- 3:22:03to scream and thrash. Through trying to restrain the
- 3:22:07child and apply proper anesthesia, her wound and blood
- 3:22:11loss were soon too severe. Sally screamed, suddenly
- 3:22:15stopped, and she grew pale and limp.
- 3:22:18She sadly died on the operating table, her last memories being
- 3:22:23of a man who she believed was torturing her.
- 3:22:32The home left the Finney family in 1939 and since then has
- 3:22:38transferred various owners. It soon became a rental property
- 3:22:43and has had multiple people living there over the decades.
- 3:22:47Out of all those who lived there, at least one person may
- 3:22:52have been involved in satanic worship, which could have
- 3:22:57possibly led to what we're about to discuss.
- 3:23:00More on that to come. Prior to 1992, there had been no
- 3:23:05paranormal activity reported. But that soon would change.
- 3:23:11During that year, Tony and Deborah Pickman began to rent
- 3:23:15the home and slowly but surely realized that something felt
- 3:23:19very off. The activity began with objects
- 3:23:23moving in their newborn daughters room, specifically
- 3:23:27their daughters. Stuffed animals began to be
- 3:23:29moved and placed into a circle formation, sometimes within the
- 3:23:33room itself and other times in other parts of the house, but
- 3:23:37always in a circle formation. At first, the family wasn't
- 3:23:42alarmed because Tony and his brother were notorious
- 3:23:46pranksters towards one another. But after Tony confronted his
- 3:23:50brother while he was at his house over the incident, his
- 3:23:54brother was clueless about what was taking place.
- 3:23:57And as the two discussed the incident before their very eyes,
- 3:24:01the toys began to place themselves in a circle upon the
- 3:24:05floor within Tony's daughter's room.
- 3:24:09Bewildered and shocked, they now knew they were dealing with
- 3:24:12something paranormal. The activity continued.
- 3:24:18Lights began to flicker on and off and strange knocks began to
- 3:24:22frighten the family late at night.
- 3:24:25Not knowing where else to turn, the Hickmans reached out for
- 3:24:29help. They contacted multiple
- 3:24:31sidekicks and paranormal groups and were eventually aided by
- 3:24:35psychic Peter James. After Peter's arrival, an
- 3:24:39initial walkthrough of the home, he sensed that there was a
- 3:24:42spirit of a little girl and another spirit lurking within
- 3:24:46the home, something much more powerful and darker than
- 3:24:50anything he had experienced before.
- 3:24:52Peter said that the child's name was Sally and that she was
- 3:24:55responsible for moving the objects around the home, and he
- 3:24:59believed that. Valley had died from an acute
- 3:25:02appendicitis at the hands of Doctor Charles Finney.
- 3:25:06He first believed that the darker spirit could perhaps have
- 3:25:10been the girl's defensive mother.
- 3:25:12Then he suggested that they could help appease the spirit of
- 3:25:15the little girl by offering her a toy.
- 3:25:18The family got Sally her very own doll and made her a small
- 3:25:22space within their house so she could feel accepted by them.
- 3:25:26This was in hopes that this girl's spirit would move on and
- 3:25:29this would in turn allow her mother's.
- 3:25:31Here to move on as well, and thus the haunting would cease.
- 3:25:36The activity began to focus on Tony Pickman, who was vehemently
- 3:25:40against trying to appease this spirit in any way, and whatever
- 3:25:44force that was lurking soon escalated to violence towards
- 3:25:48him. Tony began to have large
- 3:25:50scratches all over his body and at night he would have horrible
- 3:25:54dreams that the home was on fire and that a creature was trying
- 3:25:58to take their daughter. He would later describe his
- 3:26:01daily waking life within the house as oppressive and like he
- 3:26:05couldn't breathe without the feeling, as if he was being
- 3:26:08watched. Alongside these, Tony began to
- 3:26:11have intrusive thoughts of harming both his daughter and
- 3:26:15his wife, which he would have never thought of his own free
- 3:26:18will. The activity peaked when a
- 3:26:21series of small fires began to erupt throughout the home on a
- 3:26:25weekly basis. Worn thin and fully oppressed at
- 3:26:29this point, Tony's thoughts of harming his family were becoming
- 3:26:34consuming and overwhelming. Fortunately, he made a decision
- 3:26:38to have the family leave the home for good.
- 3:26:42They would never return to Sally's house, but that wasn't
- 3:26:46the end of the activity. However.
- 3:26:49The owner of the property at the time of the pigments was a man
- 3:26:53by the name of Les Smith. Intrigued and bewildered at the
- 3:26:57accusations of paranormal occurrences, Smith decided to do
- 3:27:01some investigating of his own, and he ended up discovering a
- 3:27:05pentagram under the original floorboards within the basement
- 3:27:08of the home. But just what rituals were
- 3:27:11conducted there, and by whom? That's another mystery in and of
- 3:27:15itself, but many have speculated that whatever ritual that was
- 3:27:19conducted perhaps summoned something demonic.
- 3:27:29Since Smith's initial discovery, a plethora of different
- 3:27:33investigations have taken place at the residence, both physical
- 3:27:37and paranormal. During one such investigation, a
- 3:27:41luminol test was conducted and evidence of blood splatter
- 3:27:44within the master bedroom closet was found, as well as tatters of
- 3:27:49a bloody sweater were also found within the attic.
- 3:27:52Could these perhaps be physical clues as to what darker things
- 3:27:56could have sparked the haunting at the Sally house?
- 3:28:00Other phenomenon reported are unexplained EVP's.
- 3:28:08Violent physical attacks, including one investigator being
- 3:28:12choked unconscious, electronic failures, lasting depression,
- 3:28:16nightmares and poltergeist activity manifesting those who
- 3:28:20have visited the house itself. Given what the pigments say they
- 3:28:27experienced and the amount of investigation conducted since
- 3:28:311992, there certainly seems to be something dark that still
- 3:28:35lurks within the Sally House. It's certainly not a place I
- 3:28:39would like to experience for myself as far as the current
- 3:28:42update, as far as I've researched, the House still
- 3:28:45remains and I believe you can actually tour it if you so wish,
- 3:28:49but it's not something I'd recommend for the spiritually
- 3:28:52weak or the faint of heart given the stories.
- 3:28:55And on that note, I'd like to say I'm not sponsored or
- 3:28:58affiliated with the property in any way.
- 3:29:01I just find the stories and the legends of the place extremely
- 3:29:04intriguing, and I never condone anyone trespassing under any
- 3:29:07circumstances. This is all just for
- 3:29:10storytelling and entertainment purposes only.
- 3:29:13With all that being said, guys, what do you think caused the
- 3:29:16haunting at the Sally House? Or do you think it's haunted at
- 3:29:19all? Let me know what you think down
- 3:29:22in the comments below. I first heard about the Sally
- 3:29:40house roughly around 2005 or 2006.
- 3:29:44I was watching a show called A haunting and they did an episode
- 3:29:47on it and I remember being extremely intrigued because it
- 3:29:50was located in Kansas, which is where I also live at this time.
- 3:29:54I was a kid. I revisited this story when I
- 3:29:57decided I was gonna research and make a video on the history of
- 3:30:01the paranormal activity within the home last year, and
- 3:30:04something about the house just seemed out of the ordinary to
- 3:30:08me. It just really seemed to draw me
- 3:30:10in, and I couldn't explain why. Considering I hadn't been back
- 3:30:14to a haunted house since I was a kid, thankfully I wasn't sure
- 3:30:18exactly why I'd be feeling this way.
- 3:30:20Maybe I wanted to experience something otherworldly again.
- 3:30:24You know, we oftentimes get caught up in the day-to-day rat
- 3:30:27race, which becomes repetitive to say the least.
- 3:30:30And rarely do we get the opportunity to go outside of our
- 3:30:33comfort zone and do something else.
- 3:30:36Well, with a little pushing, that's exactly what I decided to
- 3:30:39do. So with some careful planning, I
- 3:30:42decided to book an overnight stay at the Sally House and eat
- 3:30:45the words I had previously said in my original video.
- 3:30:49Given what the pigments say they experienced and the amount of
- 3:30:53investigation conducted since 1992, there certainly seems to
- 3:30:58be something dark that still lurks within the Sally House.
- 3:31:02It's certainly not a place I would like to experience for
- 3:31:04myself. It was time to go and experience
- 3:31:08this place for myself. Thankfully, I am not alone,
- 3:31:12however, I'm joined by Cody Gall, my best friend, trusted
- 3:31:16driver and history buff my cousin Brett Parrott, who's done
- 3:31:20both visual arts for the channel as well as composing the music
- 3:31:24we use. He's also very spiritual and has
- 3:31:27opted to provide us with protection against any evil that
- 3:31:30could be lurking within the house.
- 3:31:33And lastly, we are also joined by Jordan Hughes, who's a friend
- 3:31:37of both me and kodys. She also does my merchandise and
- 3:31:40has written for the channel. Together, we decided to begin
- 3:31:43our investigation at the Sally House.
- 3:31:47We arrived roughly after 8:00 PM in Atchison, and I could feel
- 3:31:51the hair standing up on my body the closer we got.
- 3:31:55Upon arrival, I felt like my heart was going to jump out of
- 3:31:58my chest. In the area where it's located,
- 3:32:02you can just tell that there's a plethora of history to it.
- 3:32:06Atchison, among many other things, was a battleground
- 3:32:09during the Civil War and potentially other conflicts as
- 3:32:12well. I wondered if this could be
- 3:32:14contributing to the alleged activity within the home.
- 3:32:19As we first approached the house, I wanted to go ahead and
- 3:32:22get a general feel for what we were about to walk into, so I
- 3:32:26decided to film from the front and do a walk around of the
- 3:32:29house just to see exactly what we were about to embark on.
- 3:32:39When we approached the door, I noticed that there was a rosary
- 3:32:43in the middle of a St located on the mailbox.
- 3:32:47And prior to going in, Brett offered to anoint those of us
- 3:32:51who wanted it with blessed oil. He also provided us with palm
- 3:32:55crucifixes to keep on ourselves during this time.
- 3:33:03And from here. We enter.
- 3:33:15The first thing I noticed was how frigid the house was.
- 3:33:19It was in the high 80s outside and very muggy.
- 3:33:23Within the House, as soon as we open the door, it felt like it
- 3:33:26was 40 degrees or lower. Immediately checked the
- 3:33:30thermostat and noticed that it was set to 75, which if that's
- 3:33:34the case, there was no reason for a job in that cold.
- 3:33:39And upon opening the front door, we were also greeted by a very
- 3:33:42creepy looking baby doll in a carriage, which was unnerving to
- 3:33:46say the least. We began to survey the house and
- 3:33:50get an idea of what we were about to experience.
- 3:33:53This is the living room where there was a TV, some old
- 3:33:57fixtures and a stereo with a record player.
- 3:34:00The TV reportedly turns off and on, as does the radio.
- 3:34:05Other frequent activity that has been reported is that lights are
- 3:34:09known to flicker. Knocking noises have been heard
- 3:34:12throughout the home, as well as heavy footsteps in a general
- 3:34:16experience of uneasiness. We waited until sundown before
- 3:34:22we began our investigation. It's the first time we've done
- 3:34:25this, so we did our best and some of the questions will be
- 3:34:28repeated. It's just the nature of the
- 3:34:30process. Now we're attempting to contact
- 3:34:37the spirit known as Sally. If you're here, Sally, please
- 3:34:43flicker the light for us. Do something.
- 3:34:46Give us a sign of your presence. Because so far we have nothing.
- 3:34:53We have an old house. There's a ball at the top of the
- 3:34:58stairs. Roll the ball.
- 3:35:05Give us a sign. One or more than one of these
- 3:35:10people here with me today don't believe in spirits.
- 3:35:14They're gonna prove them wrong. Maybe not.
- 3:35:20I don't think there's anything in this house, to be honest.
- 3:35:22I know you don't. With its rich history and its
- 3:35:27back story, its lore. That's a car.
- 3:35:32I would like to think there's something here.
- 3:35:34You can feel that there might be something here, but as of yet
- 3:35:38we've haven't experienced anything.
- 3:35:42Something here just mold. Definitely mold.
- 3:35:48No doubt about that. Why is it flickering the low
- 3:35:53battery thing when I literally just replace those batteries?
- 3:35:57Like I just replaced those batteries like right before we
- 3:36:00left to come here and it's flickering the low battery light
- 3:36:03right now. Sally, come out and play.
- 3:36:07You see the blue battery light flickering?
- 3:36:09Yeah, which there is no reason to shipping flickering.
- 3:36:12Like just put brand new batteries in it.
- 3:36:15That's definitely creepy. Like, the light still full
- 3:36:18completely. Like, it's not even dying.
- 3:36:21Yeah, but it's flickering. Well, you've got our attention
- 3:36:25somewhat if that was your intention.
- 3:36:28Can you do anything else for us? Anything at all?
- 3:36:34Maybe open one of these doors. Or roll the ball down the
- 3:36:39stairs. Walk around us, walk around
- 3:36:43upstairs. Let's hear some footsteps and
- 3:36:46knock anything. I left the closet door open that
- 3:36:50she likes to play in. Going to come out movie toys?
- 3:36:55We'll go up there and check. Love to.
- 3:36:59I would love to play with Sally. I think that'll be fun.
- 3:37:07Anyone else will ask any questions.
- 3:37:10Starting here. The lights stopped flickering
- 3:37:13and started doing it again. Sally, is your mom here?
- 3:37:21If I'm speaking with Sally's mother, I heard you don't like
- 3:37:25men. Well, you got three of them here
- 3:37:27right now. Does that make you
- 3:37:31uncomfortable? Does that piss you off?
- 3:37:38We're invading your space. Good 'cause we're gonna be here
- 3:37:42all night. Never having attempted to
- 3:37:47contact spirits in this way before, I tried to aggravate
- 3:37:51anything that might be there to provoke an interaction.
- 3:37:55Cody's flashlight that he brought began to flicker as if
- 3:37:58the batteries were dying. But the light itself was fine.
- 3:38:04It's rumored that Sally's mother deeply dislikes men being in the
- 3:38:07house and often scratches or pushes those who invade her
- 3:38:12space. After a short session starting
- 3:38:15in the kitchen, we decided to make our way from the base level
- 3:38:18upstairs towards the nursery, otherwise known as Sally's Room.
- 3:38:42Upon first glance to the room at the far right, past the stairs,
- 3:38:46I thought I saw someone standing in the corner towards the back
- 3:38:49closet. Turns out, almost every single
- 3:38:52one of us thought the exact same thing.
- 3:38:56Shortly after we entered the nursery, Jordan's hands began to
- 3:39:00burn, even though she was on medication to prevent this.
- 3:39:09As we entered the nursery, we decided to take a look at some
- 3:39:12of the toys that had been left for Sally within her room.
- 3:39:16There were several stuffed animals located in a circle on
- 3:39:20the ground. Brett then suggested that we
- 3:39:22move the toys in order to provoke an interaction.
- 3:39:33You can also see Cody with this toy here in his hand.
- 3:39:37This toy specifically is touch activated, so by touching the
- 3:39:41head it will go off. This will become significant
- 3:39:45later in the night. We thus far weren't having any
- 3:40:04luck making contact in the nursery, so we decided to place
- 3:40:08some toys out for Sally's enjoyment and hopes that she'd
- 3:40:12make us aware of her presence. From here we decided to move
- 3:40:17into the room that is known for the majority of the activity.
- 3:40:21Although not specifically named, I believe it to be the master
- 3:40:24bedroom due to its arrangement. Within the bedroom, we again
- 3:40:28attempted to make contact. This is also the same room I
- 3:40:32mentioned earlier that we would all later recount that we
- 3:40:36believed that we saw some one or something sitting in the corner
- 3:40:41near the closet. You know why that was like that?
- 3:40:45Because there's not any fucking spirits in this house.
- 3:40:48I haven't heard anything, haven't experienced anything,
- 3:40:50Vince, that there isn't spirits, but I haven't had any.
- 3:40:53I haven't had any interaction, any definitive signs.
- 3:40:58If you're here with us right now, I heard this is the room
- 3:41:01that gets the most interaction. Flicker that light right there,
- 3:41:05right next to your music box. I think if you're so powerful,
- 3:41:13you could just flicker a light just a little, turn a light on
- 3:41:16and off. That's what's what supposed to
- 3:41:20happen in this house. Well, it's supposed to go on and
- 3:41:22off. Pictures are supposed to move by
- 3:41:24themselves. Items are supposed to move by
- 3:41:28themselves. I haven't experienced any of
- 3:41:31that. Whatsoever.
- 3:41:34You could do anything, just give us a sign.
- 3:41:41Play some music. Make this music box work.
- 3:41:48Fun little note. I don't know if you noticed this
- 3:41:51yet, but your camera shows you when it picks up any kind of
- 3:41:55visual audio. I mean, sorry so if you ask
- 3:41:58questions. With the microphone, I know, but
- 3:42:02it shows you physically that it's catching something extra.
- 3:42:05Really, yes. Huh.
- 3:42:10Well, we've yet to listen to whatever we have potentially
- 3:42:13captured or not captured. But hasn't been audible to me
- 3:42:17yet. Truthfully.
- 3:42:22Little did we know when Jordan said the camera was indeed
- 3:42:25capturing something extra. She wasn't wrong.
- 3:42:28In case you missed it, I'm going to play this section for you
- 3:42:31again. It still seems relatively hard
- 3:42:55to understand, but I almost hear get out.
- 3:42:59Let me know what you think in the comments below.
- 3:43:02And I'd also like to mention that we had no phones running
- 3:43:04during this time and we had no additional items that could have
- 3:43:08produced those noises. If you wanted to give us any
- 3:43:13sort of a sign, you might not want to, and I understand we are
- 3:43:16a little rambunctious, but we're not going to leave till we get
- 3:43:20one. You don't want us left in your
- 3:43:24house forever, do you? You could just flicker the light
- 3:43:28a couple times. We'll get out of your hair.
- 3:43:37Unless you don't want to play games, and if that's the case.
- 3:43:41Well, why are we even here? Why did you harass the pigments?
- 3:43:46Literally anyone else. What are we not good enough?
- 3:43:51From here we decided to head back downstairs and into the
- 3:43:55living room to let the Knight progress a little further and to
- 3:43:58come up with a game plan to further try and promote any sort
- 3:44:01of interaction. It was at this time,
- 3:44:04unfortunately, when our camera wasn't running that the TV
- 3:44:08turned itself on and off, which was bizarre to say the least.
- 3:44:13These happened at 2 separate times, but relatively close to
- 3:44:16one another, probably about 15 to 20 minutes apart considering
- 3:44:20it was an older TV. We went and checked the timer
- 3:44:23settings and there were no settings that could have caused
- 3:44:26this. As the night progressed we
- 3:44:29weren't having much luck with interaction, but we had noticed
- 3:44:32earlier in the night that someone had left a birthday cake
- 3:44:34in the fridge for Sally. So we decided to sing her happy
- 3:44:38birthday along with a few of her toys and hopes that maybe she'd
- 3:44:42come out and play. Shortly after this, things began
- 3:44:46to pick up exactly at 3:00 AM. Both me and Cody thought we
- 3:44:51heard the toy box go off by itself upstairs, and the entire
- 3:44:55atmosphere of the house seemed to change almost immediately.
- 3:44:59It went from fairly happy and calm to what felt like the air
- 3:45:03was so overwhelmingly heavy it became difficult to breathe.
- 3:45:17So we just experienced some pretty weird developments.
- 3:45:20It just turned 3:00 AM here. So we're going to go back up and
- 3:45:24see if we can get any additional activity aside from what we've
- 3:45:27had already today, tonight. He did.
- 3:45:51Boys haven't moved or anything? No, I vote we put them back in a
- 3:45:54circle real quick. Get her nice and set up for the
- 3:46:03next tea party. What's up, Mr Bear?
- 3:46:12Join. Like I previously mentioned, the
- 3:46:22atmosphere inside felt so heavy and thick that all of us were
- 3:46:26having a hard time breathing. The toys in which we had
- 3:46:29previously moved on Brett's suggestion hadn't moved from
- 3:46:33where we had put them, so we decided to rearrange them in a
- 3:46:36circle in the hopes that a tea party might catch Sally's
- 3:46:39attention. We then decided to try some
- 3:46:43questioning in the guest bedroom, although it typically
- 3:46:46is unknown for much interaction within the house.
- 3:46:51Yeah, I feel like head like a heavy feeling in this room.
- 3:46:54Do you? Trying to see what's in here,
- 3:46:58boys, I thought the door was closing by itself.
- 3:47:03What's going on? There's nothing in there.
- 3:47:08Well, all right. He wants to lead the
- 3:47:12questioning, Mr Gall. Mr Spirit man with the lamp
- 3:47:16strapped to his head. A good look for you by the way.
- 3:47:23We. I'm dead.
- 3:47:32All right, well, well messed with twice in the bathroom.
- 3:47:36I mean, you know what's next. It's hard telling.
- 3:47:42Well, this is allegedly the bewitching hour, 3:00 AM.
- 3:47:48So if there's any spirits in this House, please make your
- 3:47:51presence known. Prove us wrong.
- 3:47:59A knock, a flicker of the light, anything.
- 3:48:11All right, Cody, two time to shine.
- 3:48:14Master bedroom. Watch.
- 3:48:21I feel like it's gotta be no cause I keep getting screwed.
- 3:48:24That's true. I noticed after my series of
- 3:48:30questions that Cody seemed distracted and kept looking
- 3:48:33towards the hallway. Whether conscious or
- 3:48:37subconscious, it's as if something was calling him back
- 3:48:41into the master bedroom. So that is where we decided to
- 3:48:45ask our final questions, to whatever spirits that were
- 3:48:49within the Sally House. I swear that's what I heard.
- 3:48:59I thought I heard it too. The music makes it like one of
- 3:49:12those creepy ass movies that you go see.
- 3:49:15It really does. Yeah, I could have swore I heard
- 3:49:23that too. That's what prompted us to come
- 3:49:24up here, essentially. I mean, we were planning on it
- 3:49:27anyhow, but that was bizarre. We experienced a couple small
- 3:49:32things downstairs which will relate to you here in a little
- 3:49:35bit, but it's definitely been an interesting night to say the
- 3:49:37least. Well, Cody, is there anything
- 3:49:42you want to ask? The spirits that live in this
- 3:49:43House, allegedly, why haven't they shown themselves or ex made
- 3:49:50themselves known? It's supposed to be one of the
- 3:49:52most haunted places in the world and I haven't really experienced
- 3:49:54much. That was spooky.
- 3:49:57Not a whole lot. It's the most right now.
- 3:50:01Small things that maybe, but I agree with you.
- 3:50:05If there's anyone in this house. What used to be human or
- 3:50:10otherwise? Give us a sign.
- 3:50:15Knock on the wall. Play your music box again.
- 3:50:19Dude, I just felt something on my back.
- 3:50:21Did you really? I swear to God, I I just felt
- 3:50:24something like fucking brush across my back.
- 3:50:26Does it hurt? No, it doesn't hurt.
- 3:50:28It just felt like it like just brushed across my my shirt.
- 3:50:32That's strange. Is anybody in here touch my
- 3:50:36hand? Like I just felt.
- 3:50:42Something just go across my back like.
- 3:50:46It was. That's bizarre, man.
- 3:50:48More or less like the feeling of a hand, like going across your
- 3:50:52back. That's bizarre.
- 3:50:54I felt like the burning feeling again.
- 3:50:58That is strange. OK, you've got our attention.
- 3:51:04Hopefully we have yours. Can we get a flicker of the
- 3:51:09lighter? A knock?
- 3:51:12Are you human? Or were you human?
- 3:51:17Or were you never human? Give me a knock.
- 3:51:22Give me a sign. The toy we had discovered
- 3:51:37earlier in Sally's room was a touch sensitive toy.
- 3:51:41As in, when you touched its head, it goes off.
- 3:51:45Jordan brought this into the room in the hopes that whatever
- 3:51:47was there could communicate with us through it like a conduit.
- 3:51:57Good, good choice. So this little guy is motion
- 3:52:03activated. Could you set off the toy for us
- 3:52:08to give us a sign if you can't knock or flicker the light or do
- 3:52:11anything else? Now is your time to shine.
- 3:52:24It does feel heavy in here though.
- 3:52:27It feels heavy and the whole, I swear to God, the whole energy
- 3:52:30of the house shifted when it hit three, like even like 258.
- 3:52:35And went from like a happy, upbeat, energetic to like very
- 3:52:38bizarre very quickly. Who was it that touched Cody's
- 3:52:45back? Was it Sally?
- 3:52:51Was it Sally's mother? Or was it something else?
- 3:52:56Give us any sign if it was you. And who keeps burning my hands?
- 3:53:05I could have, yeah. My screen just flickered.
- 3:53:08That's bizarre. Brand new camera guys.
- 3:53:11Did that happen? When I said that it's something,
- 3:53:14yeah, I just caught a glimpse of it.
- 3:53:16It was strange. Who touched my bag?
- 3:53:20You can talk into the phone here.
- 3:53:31We know you don't like men. The sooner you give us a sign,
- 3:53:36the sooner we'll be out of your hair.
- 3:53:38For good. Is there anything in this House?
- 3:54:06What keeps making Jordan's hand burn?
- 3:54:09Is it is it something human or is it something else?
- 3:54:24Well, is there anything at all that would wish to communicate
- 3:54:26with us while we're here? If there's something in this
- 3:54:30room with us now, I want you to touch the toy just like this.
- 3:54:34And just make it. Just give us a sign.
- 3:54:45Interact with the toy that's on the batter.
- 3:54:47Give us a knock or. Flicker a light.
- 3:54:53Maybe walk downstairs just. Here's some footsteps.
- 3:55:05If there is anything within this home that wishes to communicate
- 3:55:09with us. The floor is yours.
- 3:55:14This time is yours. All you have to do is give us a
- 3:55:19single sign. And we will be out of your hell
- 3:55:23forever. Whether you want to touch that
- 3:55:27toy. Whether you want to touch Codys
- 3:55:30back. Or whether you want to touch me.
- 3:55:34Slam a door. That's true.
- 3:55:51Oh fuck, I saw that with my own fucking eyes.
- 3:55:53What there is fucking white, just like out from between my
- 3:55:57legs, I was about to say. I thought I saw a shadow just
- 3:56:02like out of the corner of my eye, moving around by the
- 3:56:04stairs. Like going like more towards
- 3:56:07downstairs, really. When we first got here, I
- 3:56:11thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye in this
- 3:56:14room, which allegedly gets the majority of the activity.
- 3:56:19Chills. I've got some chills too.
- 3:56:24What the fuck? Maybe I don't know.
- 3:56:27I saw the corner like the shadow, like move towards.
- 3:56:31Like the downstairs did it. Oh, I was like, oh dude.
- 3:56:44Well, Sally, before we make our way downstairs and we depart.
- 3:56:49Just wanted to say this whole experience.
- 3:56:51I've wished you no harm other than to communicate, and I wish
- 3:56:56you truly all the best. During our last questioning
- 3:57:07session in the master bedroom, the screen of my camera
- 3:57:10flickered and it wasn't the recording app Cody had on his
- 3:57:14phone. Jordan also believed that she
- 3:57:17had seen a flash of light come from below her, although it
- 3:57:21didn't seem to be picked up by my camera.
- 3:57:24She also seemed to have the majority of the activities
- 3:57:27centered around her. Not only did her hands continue
- 3:57:31to have a burning sensation, but she previously in the night when
- 3:57:35she had used the restroom, the door began to jiggle and then
- 3:57:39ultimately unlatched itself while the rest of us were in the
- 3:57:42living room. The restroom itself was located
- 3:57:46in the kitchen next to the basement.
- 3:57:50Upon heading downstairs for our final time left in the house, we
- 3:57:54decided to place the touch activated toy back on the bed
- 3:57:58and little did we know that this would be significant just a
- 3:58:00short while after doing so. We made our way downstairs
- 3:58:05where, although the basement was closed off, we decided to film
- 3:58:09some footage of it from the upstairs.
- 3:58:12Since it was the bewitching hour, we didn't know if we'd
- 3:58:15catch anything or not. As some of you may or may not
- 3:58:19know, there is a pentagram located on the basement floor
- 3:58:23and it's said to be a hot spot for activity as well as it once
- 3:58:28hosted black masses. After this, I decided to
- 3:58:35interview everyone as we geared up to leave to capture their
- 3:58:39personal experiences and how they felt about their
- 3:58:42investigation. All right, Brett, go ahead and
- 3:58:46tell us kind of a little bit of what your personal experience
- 3:58:50has been like. Well, you know, even just before
- 3:58:54we even, like, walked inside, right when we pulled up in the
- 3:58:59driveway, I immediately started feeling this sense of
- 3:59:02adrenaline, right? Like the moment you enter like a
- 3:59:05crisis situation or a situation towards just a high stress fight
- 3:59:08or flight situation, it just immediately hit me like I was
- 3:59:12just shaking right, like just this trembling.
- 3:59:15Feeling right. They're trying to prepare, you
- 3:59:18know, say my prayers. Do all that stuff beforehand.
- 3:59:22I felt better right after I anointed myself with the oil.
- 3:59:27And when we walked in like I I have felt like various cold
- 3:59:30presents like cold spots, right, like sensations on my fingers
- 3:59:33kind of being colds and since you know my arm like cold spots,
- 3:59:36I've been able to feel that right.
- 3:59:38But the main thing is that this hyper vigilance has kind of kept
- 3:59:41with me at times where especially like things out of
- 3:59:46the corner of my eye, right, like I've experienced with that
- 3:59:49too. In at its worst, upstairs 100%
- 3:59:54when we've gone upstairs multiple times, right?
- 3:59:58I've always just been like my eyes are just deadlocked on some
- 4:00:02of the rooms upstairs. Like I was constantly looking
- 4:00:05over people's shoulders. Like I'm constantly looking back
- 4:00:08behind people to see because I keep thinking that there's going
- 4:00:10to be something there. And what else to?
- 4:00:18And I would say. That when we were in like, that
- 4:00:22master bedroom, right, right. That was when the moment,
- 4:00:26especially after, you know, it turned 3, right.
- 4:00:28Like when we went in there earlier, I experienced this a
- 4:00:30few times. But definitely the last time we
- 4:00:32went in there, that switch flipped on and it was really
- 4:00:36strong. Like tour, you know, I'm having
- 4:00:38to sit here and pray while I'm doing this, you know, because
- 4:00:42it's just so, it's so strong. So I'm like sitting here, like
- 4:00:46looking back and forth, looking as if, you know, I'm looking for
- 4:00:49the source, right. I'm looking for.
- 4:00:50What's making me feel this way, right?
- 4:00:52It's something I can't see or even perceive, right?
- 4:00:55But it's there. And then when we came down here
- 4:00:59and you were opening the door, right, when you open the door to
- 4:01:01the basement, that was probably the strongest it's been in that.
- 4:01:04Yeah, honestly, I I felt like something, something dark is
- 4:01:08down there for sure. And, you know, like I was
- 4:01:10telling you earlier off camera, right.
- 4:01:13You know, it's like, you know, you've entered a combat
- 4:01:16situation or something. You're dealing with somebody
- 4:01:18who's, like, trying to kill you, right?
- 4:01:19Or wants to hurt you or you're about to deal with like a feral
- 4:01:21wild animal, right? The mall you live from limits,
- 4:01:24that kind of fight or flight situation.
- 4:01:26That's the way it feels. It's the kind of.
- 4:01:29From what I've seen from the like the set, like the the
- 4:01:34medium that Sam and Colby brought in all their video, she
- 4:01:39felt said. She felt up there in that room,
- 4:01:42the presence of like a a military person, like someone
- 4:01:46from from the military. And like I said earlier, the
- 4:01:49this whole part of Atchison was a battleground.
- 4:01:55I can feel it during the civil war, maybe even a few other wars
- 4:01:58to be honest. It was, it was, it was a
- 4:02:00battleground and like who knows what this house was built on top
- 4:02:04of. Even by this, the House could
- 4:02:07have been built on top of a fucking like a war zone.
- 4:02:11And along with the seances that have happened in this House and
- 4:02:15the basement, the basement on the ground, everything.
- 4:02:18Who knows what could have just that could have just brought a
- 4:02:21perfect storm. Like I can agree with that 100%.
- 4:02:25But yeah, so I would say for my, you know, my part of the
- 4:02:29interview, right. That's a lot of what I've
- 4:02:32experienced. It's been those kind of states,
- 4:02:34especially thinking I see things out of the corner of my eye, a
- 4:02:37lot of those kind of experiences there were a few times where
- 4:02:40like. I saw like a tiny white thing
- 4:02:44move across the floor. That was one time where I've
- 4:02:47seen that, but honestly, a lot of it's been like that.
- 4:02:51That's been probably the crux of my experience, has been a lot
- 4:02:53like that. I'd say there's something here.
- 4:02:58There's nothing going on here. That's the way I feel about it.
- 4:03:00I knew that there was before I'd even come up here.
- 4:03:02But like that's you felt it now for well, I mean, it's just when
- 4:03:06you feel that way, when you have that intense of a reaction, I
- 4:03:10mean, it just puts you on guard, right?
- 4:03:13Like it's such a tangible feeling that you know.
- 4:03:16It's something that has stuck with that's probably the
- 4:03:19highlight of my experience that's that's pretty much what
- 4:03:21my experience has been like. It's just constant like you
- 4:03:25know, you know, hypervigilance. So but that's that's been kind
- 4:03:31of what I felt pretty much the whole time.
- 4:03:32I appreciate you sharing that with me and joining me tonight,
- 4:03:35man. Yeah.
- 4:03:38All right, Cody, how about you? How how has your personal
- 4:03:41experience of the Sally house made you feel?
- 4:03:45Well, when I first walked into the house, I felt.
- 4:03:49Just just something heavy like as as soon as you walk into the
- 4:03:52house. I mean it's just the whole
- 4:03:54feeling of the house. We walk in here and the
- 4:03:56temperature outside is in the in the high 80s and as soon as we
- 4:04:01walk in here and it felt like 20 degrees frigid it was it was
- 4:04:04insanely cold and but like the whole the whole experience with.
- 4:04:11With like activity wise it's been.
- 4:04:15It's been underwhelming but it's it's it's definitely been
- 4:04:20present in some spec in some aspects like the clock here on
- 4:04:24the wall. We were all just standing here
- 4:04:26talking right at about 3:00 o'clock this morning and I just
- 4:04:31out of the corner of my eye I saw the the pendulum on this
- 4:04:33clock just just move ever so slightly and now if you look at
- 4:04:37it it was it was in the middle and now it's it's kind of just
- 4:04:41it's kind of just. Offset a little from the very
- 4:04:45middle. It is.
- 4:04:48And then when we were upstairs just just talking and trying to
- 4:04:53get a response out of whatever's in this House, I felt just
- 4:04:56something very lightly running, like what felt like a hand run
- 4:05:01across the small of my back, and it just made every hair on my
- 4:05:05body just stand up like it was. I believe it, man.
- 4:05:08It's pretty terrifying. And then a.
- 4:05:11Why was it standing here in the kitchen alone while you guys
- 4:05:13were coming down the stairs or might have already been off the
- 4:05:16stairs? I heard what I thought was was
- 4:05:20some knocking from the basement. It is a possibility, so like
- 4:05:25I've experienced some things I wouldn't.
- 4:05:29Say the house would be necessarily as haunted as it
- 4:05:33once was. I I could believe that, but it
- 4:05:36there's definitely something still here.
- 4:05:38I agree with that 100%, man. I appreciate you coming out and
- 4:05:43being our loyal driver and our homie, that's down for whatever.
- 4:05:46So we appreciate it, man. You don't want to come with you.
- 4:05:51You can. If you want me, I think I might.
- 4:05:54All right, Jordan, how how has your personal experience of the
- 4:05:58Sally house been for you? Initially, my hands have been
- 4:06:03burning since I walked in. I like to touch everything, but
- 4:06:07it didn't stop after, you know, I stopped touching things.
- 4:06:10So there was that definitely weird.
- 4:06:13Yeah, it was really weird. And then I guess really the
- 4:06:17other weird things. It's pleasant till like 3 in the
- 4:06:19morning, went to the bathroom. I locked the door over it all by
- 4:06:24itself. Ohh boy ohh really.
- 4:06:28I'm done. Went off.
- 4:06:31What did the fucking toy. No fucking touch, swear to God.
- 4:06:34I put the ball in the bed and it fucking went off.
- 4:06:36What was it on the bed? What the put it up.
- 4:06:39I put it up there. I put the toy on the book.
- 4:06:42But when we came down I didn't do any movement towards the toy
- 4:06:46whatsoever. I just set the 8 ball on the bed
- 4:06:48and it fucking went off. I got it on video.
- 4:06:50Ohh shit. We will definitely share that
- 4:06:53with you guys. I don't know you.
- 4:06:56I don't know what's up. Maybe because you're a mom.
- 4:06:58I don't know. It's bizarre.
- 4:07:02It's like that flashlight turned on for a moment.
- 4:07:04It freaked me out. I don't know, you know, I want
- 4:07:07somebody to watch your back. During my interview with Jordan,
- 4:07:11Cody and Brett went to take a Magic 8 Ball toy that we had
- 4:07:14originally taken from Sally's room back upstairs to put it
- 4:07:18back. Cody happened to be recording
- 4:07:21and as he laid the 8 ball on the bed, the toy went off on its
- 4:07:25own. Not only did you have to touch
- 4:07:28the head of this toy to set it off, but no motion would have
- 4:07:31activated it since. Not only was it sitting on top
- 4:07:34of a book on top of the bed, but Cody was at least three to four
- 4:07:38feet away when it went off. You can't if you want, man,
- 4:07:43think about it. I'll talk about you.
- 4:07:46Like, I'm just gonna kind of reset everything.
- 4:07:50Always good to know what I mean, bro.
- 4:07:54You know you gotta have somebody to watch your back.
- 4:07:59I don't want to put this ball. Right back in this room over
- 4:08:04here, the nursery. Then the 8 ball, the 8 ball was,
- 4:08:10yeah. Bro what the fuck?
- 4:08:14That just went off by itself. Ohh boy.
- 4:08:19Alright, I'm done. Before this toy decided to go
- 4:08:23off on its own and freak everybody out, which is, you
- 4:08:26know what we've been hoping to experience anyways?
- 4:08:29How has your personal experience been here at the Sally house?
- 4:08:34My hands been burning? And.
- 4:08:40He hasn't been burning. I touch toys and they start
- 4:08:43burning and then nothing for couple hours and got to like 3
- 4:08:48and I went to the bathroom and I I pulled the lock over on the
- 4:08:51door and as I did that and I went to go out of the bathroom
- 4:08:57it jiggled and then opened. Definitely very creepy.
- 4:09:01Super creepy. But the clock was kind of moving
- 4:09:05a little bit and then we went upstairs.
- 4:09:08That's where it was really good because I was sitting in the
- 4:09:10chair because apparently every time I talk something weird
- 4:09:14needs to happen. And I saw this orb which
- 4:09:16hopefully would caught coming from between my legs and the
- 4:09:19chair just straight out and disappear.
- 4:09:22I definitely saw a flash. I think I may have caught it
- 4:09:24too, but we'll have to check it for sure.
- 4:09:29Yeah, that I mean nothing too crazy, but well, do you think
- 4:09:35overall it's haunted? Do you think there's something
- 4:09:38still here? Or, you know, would you agree
- 4:09:39with Cody that perhaps it's not as haunted, haunted as it once
- 4:09:43was? Or maybe we just came when
- 4:09:45things were calmer? Half of me thinks it's not
- 4:09:50because you, you've arguably experienced the majority.
- 4:09:52I would argue, and I mean, I think there's something here,
- 4:09:56but with everybody coming in and doing their own thing to the
- 4:09:59house, right. I think it's affected it.
- 4:10:01Yeah. Like, you know, you're not,
- 4:10:03you're not allowed to cleanse the home, but they're, I mean,
- 4:10:05you probably can't see it here, but someone has very clearly
- 4:10:08anointed the windows with oil and Sally's room.
- 4:10:12There's also oil on the window seal.
- 4:10:14You can see it a little bit there just all around,
- 4:10:18definitely. I would argue that it's there's
- 4:10:22something definitely still here, and I will share my thoughts
- 4:10:24with you a little later after we wrap things up here.
- 4:10:27But I I would argue that there's something that is still here.
- 4:10:31Perhaps we've come during a calmer time.
- 4:10:33Perhaps the circumstances weren't right, or they, you
- 4:10:36know, they just weren't feeling us.
- 4:10:38Really depends. Or an interesting mix of people.
- 4:10:40So I don't know, maybe they just weren't vibing with this as hard
- 4:10:44as others. But hey, we came, we gave it our
- 4:10:46best shot and all around them. I'm not really disappointed on
- 4:10:50how things turned out. Is there anything else you want
- 4:10:53to say before we leave the Sally house?
- 4:10:57Alright P Sally. Sally, we, like I said earlier,
- 4:11:03we wish you no harm and wish you only the best and that you.
- 4:11:06I hope you find peace. I hope your mother finds peace.
- 4:11:09And I hope any other spirit that dwells within this home finds
- 4:11:12peace. And to that, I say goodbye.
- 4:11:22Hello. Air pressure in this?
- 4:11:23No. From here, we decided to wrap
- 4:11:27things up. We slowly but surely loaded
- 4:11:30everything into Cody's car, and we were about to depart when we
- 4:11:35discovered one of our wheels was flat.
- 4:11:37So that was fun. Right around this time, we heard
- 4:11:40a banging noise come from the upstairs master bedroom of the
- 4:11:44Sally house. And then the green light which
- 4:11:47had been on all night, which was controlled by a switch in the
- 4:11:51House, decided to turn itself off randomly.
- 4:11:55I happened to be taking my final pictures of the home from my
- 4:11:58personal phone when this happened.
- 4:12:01There was also a creepy and dense fog that draped over
- 4:12:04Atchison as we headed home. Since I asked everyone for their
- 4:12:08personal experience, I'd like to share mine with you now.
- 4:12:13As we edged ever closer to the Sally House, I began to feel a
- 4:12:17sense of adrenaline. As I saw it in the flesh and
- 4:12:20approached its front door, I felt uneasy and shaky.
- 4:12:25Upon opening the front door, it was absolutely frigid and I
- 4:12:30immediately felt a heavy sense of darkness enveloped me.
- 4:12:34As our time progressed there, the feeling or the energy of the
- 4:12:38home seemed to go from one of darkness to almost mildly
- 4:12:41jovial. We questioned what we could
- 4:12:44think of and used what tools we had at our disposal to attempt
- 4:12:48and provoke an interaction. But really we only started to
- 4:12:53experience small things towards the end of our stay.
- 4:12:57However, I'm not disappointed in having investigated the house.
- 4:13:01It was not an experience I'll soon forget, that's for sure.
- 4:13:06As far as my verdict on the haunting, I definitely think
- 4:13:09that there's something there, and I also don't think it's
- 4:13:12human and never was human. Think about this for a second.
- 4:13:16Black masses and seances were held in the house.
- 4:13:20There's a covered pentagram in the basement, and from our
- 4:13:23personal experience, the entire atmosphere of the home shifted
- 4:13:27at exactly 3:00 AM, which is the bewitching hour and notorious
- 4:13:31for demonic activity. Perhaps Sally isn't the spirit
- 4:13:35of a little girl. Perhaps it's something much,
- 4:13:38much darker, such as a demon and if this demon is masquerading as
- 4:13:43a child. It's getting hundreds, if not
- 4:13:46thousands of humans to interact with it and pay a tribute, such
- 4:13:50as we did through not knowing any better.
- 4:13:53I may not have all the answers, but As for the Sally House,
- 4:13:57there's more than meets the eye. Thank you so much for joining us
- 4:14:05on our very first paranormal investigation.
- 4:14:07I have many more planned, but I also need your help.
- 4:14:11We'd like to purchase some additional gear for our next
- 4:14:14one, which is much bigger than the Sally House.
- 4:14:17And how you could help is by buying one of these shirts from
- 4:14:20my shop linked down below. It's the exact same shirts that
- 4:14:24we all wore during this investigation.
- 4:14:26They're comfy and they're great, plus it'll really help us out
- 4:14:30getting some new gear, so it always is.
- 4:14:33Much appreciated when you support the channel, and As for
- 4:14:36me, I'd truly appreciate all of your support.
- 4:14:39Please make sure you're subscribed so that you never
- 4:14:42miss a new video. And as always, this has been
