  I
• 0:40
  feel
• 0:40
  stuck
• 0:40
  looking
• 0:41
  back
• 0:41
  on
• 0:41
  my
• 0:41
  finances
• 0:42
  like
• 0:42
  I
• 0:42
  didn't
• 0:42
  grow
• 0:42
  enough.
• 0:43
  How
• 0:43
  can
• 0:44
  I
• 0:44
  look
• 0:44
  back
• 0:44
  and
• 0:44
  learn
• 0:44
  from
• 0:45
  my
• 0:45
  past
• 0:45
  financial
• 0:45
  decisions
• 0:46
  without
• 0:47
  getting
• 0:47
  discouraged?
• 0:48
  Well,
• 0:48
  let
• 0:48
  me
• 0:48
  tell
• 0:49
  you
• 0:49
  right
• 0:49
  now,
• 0:49
  you're
• 0:49
  not
• 0:49
  alone
• 0:49
  in
• 0:50
  that.
• 0:50
  In
• 0:50
  fact,
• 0:50
  listen
• 0:51
  to

  this.

  say
• 0:55
  they
• 0:55
  feel
• 0:55
  behind
• 0:55
  on
• 0:56
  their
• 0:56
  financial
• 0:56
  goals.
• 0:57
  So
• 0:57
  listen,
• 0:57
  you're
• 0:58
  right
• 0:58
  there
• 0:58
  with
• 0:58
  most
• 0:59
  of
• 0:59
  us,
• 1:00
  two
• 1:00
  thirds
• 1:00
  to
• 1:00
  think
• 1:01
  about
• 1:01
  it.
• 1:01
  But
• 1:01
  I
• 1:01
  love
• 1:01
  what
• 1:01
  psychologist
• 1:02
  Brad
• 1:02
  Klonz
• 1:03
  notes.
• 1:03
  He
• 1:03
  said
• 1:03
  financial
• 1:04
  reflection
• 1:05
  is,
• 1:05
  is
• 1:05
  the
• 1:06
  bridge
• 1:06
  between
• 1:06
  frustration
• 1:07
  and
• 1:07
  growth
• 1:08
  and
• 1:08
  it's
• 1:08
  how
• 1:08
  we
• 1:09
  change
• 1:09
  the
• 1:09
  pattern.
• 1:09
  So
• 1:10
  today
• 1:10
  we're
• 1:10
  going
• 1:10
  to
• 1:10
  talk
• 1:10
  about
• 1:10
  how
• 1:11
  to
• 1:11
  change
• 1:11
  patterns
• 1:11
  because
• 1:12
  when
• 1:12
  you
• 1:12
  feel
• 1:12
  stuck,
• 1:13
  it
• 1:13
  is
• 1:13
  so
• 1:14
  tempting
• 1:14
  to
• 1:14
  avoid
• 1:15
  looking
• 1:15
  back.
• 1:16
  But
• 1:16
  reflection,
• 1:17
  that
• 1:17
  looking
• 1:17
  back
• 1:17
  isn't
• 1:18
  punishment.
• 1:18
  I
• 1:18
  want
• 1:18
  to
• 1:18
  start
• 1:18
  by
• 1:19
  telling
• 1:19
  you
• 1:19
  that
• 1:19
  it's
• 1:20
  preparation
• 1:20
  and
• 1:21
  it's
• 1:21
  where
• 1:21
  progress
• 1:22
  becomes
• 1:22
  visible
• 1:23
  and
• 1:23
  God's
• 1:23
  faithfulness
• 1:24
  becomes
• 1:24
  clear.
• 1:24
  Let's
• 1:25
  change
• 1:25
  the
• 1:25
  pattern
• 1:25
  of
• 1:26
  how
• 1:26
  you
• 1:26
  think
• 1:27
  on
• 1:27
  today's
• 1:27
  show.
• 1:29
  This
• 1:30
  is
• 1:30
  Financially
• 1:30
  Confident
• 1:31
  Christian,
• 1:32
  your
• 1:32
  daily
• 1:32
  dose
• 1:32
  of
• 1:33
  gospel,
• 1:33
  grounded
• 1:34
  insight
• 1:34
  and
• 1:34
  faith
• 1:35
  driven
• 1:35
  tips
• 1:35
  for
• 1:36
  to
• 1:36
  help
• 1:36
  you
• 1:36
  break
• 1:36
  the
• 1:36
  cycle
• 1:37
  of
• 1:37
  financial
• 1:37
  shame
• 1:38
  with
• 1:38
  confidence.
• 1:41
  Hello
• 1:41
  and
• 1:42
  welcome
• 1:42
  back.
• 1:42
  I'm
• 1:43
  Ralph.
• 1:43
  This
• 1:43
  is
• 1:43
  the
• 1:44
  show
• 1:44
  where
• 1:44
  we
• 1:44
  come
• 1:44
  at
• 1:44
  you
• 1:45
  every
• 1:45
  day
• 1:45
  helping
• 1:45
  you
• 1:45
  to
• 1:45
  break
• 1:46
  that
• 1:46
  cycle
• 1:47
  of
• 1:47
  financial
• 1:47
  shame
• 1:48
  with
• 1:48
  confidence.
• 1:48
  And
• 1:48
  I'm
• 1:49
  so
• 1:49
  excited
• 1:49
  today
• 1:49
  as
• 1:49
  we
• 1:50
  launch
• 1:50
  a
• 1:50
  new
• 1:50
  series
• 1:50
  for
• 1:50
  the
• 1:51
  month
• 1:51
  and
• 1:51
  I'm
• 1:51
  calling
• 1:52
  this
• 1:52
  the
• 1:52
  December
• 1:52
  Reset.
• 1:53
  Reflect,
• 1:54
  refocus
• 1:55
  and
• 1:55
  prepare
• 1:55
  for
• 1:55
  the
• 1:56
  new
• 1:56
  year.
• 1:56
  Because
• 1:56
  listen,
• 1:57
  if
• 1:57
  we're
• 1:57
  going
• 1:57
  to
• 1:57
  be
• 1:57
  successful
• 1:58
  in
• 1:58
  the
• 1:58
  new
• 1:58
  year,
• 1:58
  guess
• 1:58
  what
• 1:58
  that's
• 1:59
  going
• 1:59
  to
• 1:59
  take?
• 1:59
  It's
• 2:00
  going
• 2:00
  to
• 2:00
  take
• 2:00
  a
• 2:00
  little
• 2:00
  preparation.
• 2:01
  It's
• 2:01
  not
• 2:01
  just
• 2:01
  going
• 2:01
  to
• 2:01
  happen
• 2:02
  on
• 2:02
  its
• 2:02
  own.
• 2:03
  And
• 2:03
  you
• 2:03
  might
• 2:03
  be
• 2:03
  saying,
• 2:03
  okay,
• 2:03
  who
• 2:04
  is
• 2:04
  this
• 2:04
  guy,
• 2:04
  Ralph,
• 2:05
  Listen,
• 2:05
  I'm
• 2:05
  gonna
• 2:05
  tell
• 2:05
  you
• 2:06
  right
• 2:06
  now,
• 2:06
  I've
• 2:06
  been
• 2:06
  helping
• 2:07
  families
• 2:07
  and
• 2:07
  business
• 2:07
  owners
• 2:08
  just
• 2:08
  like
• 2:08
  you
• 2:09
  for
• 2:09
  30
• 2:09
  years.
• 2:10
  I've
• 2:10
  helped
• 2:11
  people
• 2:11
  evaluate
• 2:12
  their
• 2:12
  finances
• 2:12
  with
• 2:12
  grace,
• 2:13
  not
• 2:13
  guilt,
• 2:14
  because
• 2:14
  it's
• 2:14
  so
• 2:14
  easy
• 2:15
  to
• 2:15
  feel
• 2:15
  bad
• 2:15
  about
• 2:16
  yourself.
• 2:16
  Today's
• 2:16
  listener
• 2:17
  question
• 2:17
  is
• 2:17
  all
• 2:17
  about
• 2:17
  that
• 2:18
  I've
• 2:18
  seen
• 2:19
  in
• 2:19
  my
• 2:19
  own
• 2:19
  life
• 2:20
  where
• 2:20
  that
• 2:20
  reflection
• 2:22
  turns
• 2:22
  regret
• 2:23
  into
• 2:23
  gratitude.
• 2:23
  That's
• 2:24
  what
• 2:24
  we're
• 2:24
  gonna
• 2:24
  talk
• 2:24
  about
• 2:24
  today,
• 2:25
  is
• 2:25
  gratitude.
• 2:26
  Now
• 2:26
  you
• 2:26
  might
• 2:26
  be
• 2:26
  saying,
• 2:26
  ralph,
• 2:27
  okay,
• 2:27
  that
• 2:27
  sounds
• 2:27
  good,
• 2:27
  but
• 2:28
  have
• 2:28
  you
• 2:28
  ever
• 2:28
  felt
• 2:29
  this?
• 2:29
  Well,
• 2:29
  let
• 2:29
  me
• 2:29
  tell
• 2:30
  you,
• 2:30
  I
• 2:30
  felt
• 2:30
  this
• 2:31
  and
• 2:31
  I
• 2:31
  felt
• 2:32
  it
• 2:32
  real
• 2:32
  deep
• 2:32
  in
• 2:32
  my
• 2:32
  bones.
• 2:33
  I
• 2:33
  never
• 2:33
  Forget
• 2:34
  back
• 2:34
  in
• 2:34
  2008,
• 2:35
  the
• 2:36
  economy
• 2:36
  in
• 2:36
  the
• 2:36
  United
• 2:37
  States
• 2:37
  really
• 2:37
  was
• 2:37
  struggling
• 2:39
  and
• 2:39
  my
• 2:39
  business
• 2:39
  started
• 2:40
  to
• 2:40
  struggle
• 2:40
  a
• 2:40
  little
• 2:41
  bit,
• 2:41
  to
• 2:41
  be
• 2:41
  honest
• 2:41
  with
• 2:41
  you.
• 2:41
  I
• 2:41
  don't
• 2:41
  like
• 2:42
  to
• 2:42
  admit
• 2:42
  this
• 2:42
  sometimes,
• 2:42
  but
• 2:43
  it
• 2:43
  got
• 2:43
  a
• 2:43
  Little
• 2:43
  bit
• 2:43
  tough.
• 2:45
  And
• 2:45
  I
• 2:45
  thought
• 2:45
  to
• 2:45
  myself,
• 2:46
  well,
• 2:46
  how
• 2:46
  am
• 2:46
  I
• 2:46
  going
• 2:46
  to
• 2:46
  fix
• 2:46
  this
• 2:47
  problem?
• 2:47
  That
• 2:48
  would
• 2:48
  have
• 2:48
  been
• 2:48
  real
• 2:48
  easy
• 2:48
  to
• 2:49
  just
• 2:49
  push
• 2:49
  forward
• 2:49
  and
• 2:49
  say,
• 2:50
  well,
• 2:50
  you
• 2:50
  know,
• 2:50
  everything
• 2:51
  will
• 2:51
  be
• 2:51
  fine.
• 2:51
  I'll
• 2:52
  just
• 2:52
  keep
• 2:52
  moving
• 2:52
  forward.
• 2:53
  But
• 2:53
  I
• 2:54
  thought
• 2:54
  about
• 2:54
  it.
• 2:54
  I
• 2:54
  said,
• 2:54
  you
• 2:54
  know
• 2:54
  what
• 2:54
  I
• 2:55
  really
• 2:55
  have
• 2:55
  to
• 2:55
  do?
• 2:55
  I
• 2:55
  told
• 2:55
  clients
• 2:56
  this
• 2:56
  time
• 2:56
  and
• 2:56
  time
• 2:56
  again.
• 2:57
  I
• 2:57
  said,
• 2:57
  go
• 2:57
  back
• 2:58
  and
• 2:58
  reexamine
• 2:59
  where
• 2:59
  you
• 2:59
  are.
• 3:00
  And
• 3:00
  to
• 3:00
  be
• 3:00
  honest
• 3:01
  with
• 3:01
  you,
• 3:01
  as
• 3:02
  the
• 3:02
  accountant,
• 3:02
  I
• 3:03
  had
• 3:03
  never
• 3:03
  done
• 3:03
  that.
• 3:03
  I
• 3:03
  never
• 3:04
  really
• 3:04
  examined
• 3:04
  those
• 3:05
  nitty
• 3:05
  gritty
• 3:06
  details.
• 3:07
  And
• 3:07
  I
• 3:07
  thought
• 3:07
  to
• 3:07
  myself,
• 3:08
  why
• 3:08
  are
• 3:08
  you
• 3:08
  worried
• 3:08
  about
• 3:09
  it?
• 3:09
  To
• 3:09
  be
• 3:09
  blunt,
• 3:10
  I
• 3:10
  was
• 3:10
  afraid
• 3:10
  of
• 3:11
  what
• 3:11
  I'd
• 3:11
  see.
• 3:12
  But
• 3:12
  when
• 3:12
  I
• 3:12
  finally
• 3:13
  did
• 3:13
  it,
• 3:14
  it
• 3:14
  was
• 3:14
  actually
• 3:15
  a
• 3:15
  reassuring
• 3:16
  thing
• 3:16
  because
• 3:16
  I
• 3:17
  realized
• 3:17
  how
• 3:17
  far
• 3:17
  I
• 3:17
  had
• 3:18
  come.
• 3:18
  I
• 3:18
  look
• 3:18
  back
• 3:18
  to
• 3:19
  when
• 3:19
  I'd
• 3:19
  started
• 3:19
  my
• 3:19
  business
• 3:20
  with
• 3:21
  just
• 3:21
  a
• 3:21
  handful
• 3:21
  of
• 3:21
  clients,
• 3:22
  and
• 3:22
  by
• 3:22
  this
• 3:22
  time
• 3:22
  in
• 3:22
  2008,
• 3:23
  man,
• 3:24
  that
• 3:24
  had
• 3:24
  grown
• 3:24
  out.
• 3:25
  Did
• 3:25
  I
• 3:25
  see
• 3:25
  some
• 3:26
  warning
• 3:26
  signs
• 3:27
  on
• 3:27
  the
• 3:27
  horizon?
• 3:27
  Sure
• 3:28
  I
• 3:28
  did.
• 3:28
  But
• 3:29
  when
• 3:29
  I
• 3:29
  went
• 3:29
  back
• 3:29
  and
• 3:29
  looked
• 3:30
  at
• 3:30
  it,
• 3:30
  I
• 3:30
  learned
• 3:30
  where
• 3:31
  I
• 3:31
  could
• 3:31
  improve.
• 3:32
  The
• 3:32
  other
• 3:32
  thing
• 3:32
  I
• 3:32
  did,
• 3:33
  which
• 3:33
  is
• 3:33
  super
• 3:33
  important,
• 3:34
  is
• 3:34
  I
• 3:34
  accepted
• 3:35
  some
• 3:35
  small
• 3:36
  victories
• 3:36
  along
• 3:36
  the
• 3:36
  way.
• 3:37
  Because,
• 3:37
  listen,
• 3:38
  you
• 3:38
  got
• 3:38
  to
• 3:38
  embrace
• 3:38
  the
• 3:39
  victories
• 3:39
  because
• 3:40
  if
• 3:40
  you
• 3:40
  stay
• 3:40
  mired
• 3:41
  down
• 3:41
  and,
• 3:41
  well,
• 3:41
  this
• 3:41
  didn't
• 3:42
  work,
• 3:42
  and
• 3:42
  this
• 3:42
  didn't
• 3:42
  work,
• 3:43
  you're
• 3:43
  going
• 3:43
  to
• 3:43
  get
• 3:44
  discouraged.
• 3:45
  But
• 3:45
  I
• 3:45
  accepted
• 3:46
  those
• 3:46
  small
• 3:46
  victories.
• 3:47
  At
• 3:47
  the
• 3:47
  same
• 3:47
  time,
• 3:47
  though,
• 3:48
  I
• 3:48
  reflected
• 3:49
  on
• 3:49
  some
• 3:49
  things
• 3:49
  that
• 3:49
  I
• 3:49
  could
• 3:50
  change
• 3:50
  when
• 3:50
  I
• 3:50
  was
• 3:50
  really
• 3:51
  honest
• 3:51
  with
• 3:51
  myself
• 3:52
  and
• 3:52
  I
• 3:52
  looked
• 3:53
  back
• 3:53
  at
• 3:53
  the
• 3:53
  business
• 3:53
  that,
• 3:53
  well,
• 3:54
  here
• 3:54
  sells
• 3:54
  some
• 3:54
  things
• 3:54
  I
• 3:54
  could
• 3:55
  change.
• 3:55
  Well,
• 3:55
  you
• 3:55
  could
• 3:55
  do
• 3:55
  the
• 3:55
  same
• 3:55
  thing
• 3:56
  with
• 3:56
  your
• 3:56
  personal
• 3:56
  finances,
• 3:57
  but
• 3:57
  when
• 3:57
  you
• 3:58
  reflect,
• 3:58
  and
• 3:58
  I'm
• 3:58
  going
• 3:58
  to
• 3:58
  give
• 3:58
  you
• 3:59
  a
• 3:59
  way
• 3:59
  to
• 3:59
  do
• 3:59
  that
• 4:00
  on
• 4:00
  today's
• 4:00
  show,
• 4:00
  but
• 4:01
  when
• 4:01
  you
• 4:01
  reflect,
• 4:02
  you
• 4:02
  can
• 4:02
  see
• 4:02
  some
• 4:03
  things
• 4:03
  that
• 4:03
  might
• 4:03
  need
• 4:03
  to
• 4:04
  change.
• 4:04
  So
• 4:04
  let's
• 4:04
  get
• 4:04
  back
• 4:05
  to
• 4:05
  our
• 4:05
  question,
• 4:06
  and
• 4:06
  that's
• 4:06
  how
• 4:06
  can
• 4:06
  I
• 4:07
  look
• 4:07
  back
• 4:07
  and
• 4:07
  learn
• 4:07
  from
• 4:08
  my
• 4:08
  past
• 4:08
  financial
• 4:08
  decisions
• 4:09
  without
• 4:10
  getting
• 4:10
  discouraged?
• 4:11
  Because,
• 4:11
  yes,
• 4:11
  it's
• 4:12
  super
• 4:12
  easy
• 4:12
  to
• 4:13
  get
• 4:13
  discouraged.
• 4:13
  Well,
• 4:14
  we
• 4:14
  came
• 4:14
  up
• 4:14
  with
• 4:15
  what
• 4:15
  we're
• 4:15
  going
• 4:15
  to
• 4:15
  call
• 4:15
  the
• 4:15
  clear
• 4:16
  plan.
• 4:16
  That's
• 4:16
  C,
• 4:17
  L,
• 4:17
  E,
• 4:17
  A,
• 4:18
  R.
• 4:18
  I'm
• 4:18
  going
• 4:18
  to
• 4:18
  break
• 4:19
  these
• 4:19
  down
• 4:19
  for
• 4:19
  you.
• 4:19
  But
• 4:20
  basically
• 4:20
  the
• 4:20
  clear
• 4:21
  plan,
• 4:21
  number
• 4:21
  one
• 4:22
  thing
• 4:22
  with
• 4:22
  the
• 4:23
  C,
• 4:23
  celebrate.
• 4:25
  See,
• 4:25
  gratitude
• 4:25
  opens
• 4:26
  your
• 4:26
  eyes
• 4:26
  to
• 4:26
  God's
• 4:27
  provision.
• 4:27
  So
• 4:27
  start
• 4:27
  by
• 4:28
  celebrating
• 4:28
  that.
• 4:29
  That's
• 4:29
  the
• 4:29
  first
• 4:29
  in
• 4:30
  the
• 4:30
  letter.
• 4:30
  Clear
• 4:31
  C,
• 4:31
  L,
• 4:31
  E,
• 4:31
  A,
• 4:32
  R.
• 4:32
  But
• 4:32
  celebrate.
• 4:33
  Because
• 4:33
  when
• 4:33
  you
• 4:34
  celebrate,
• 4:34
  when
• 4:34
  you
• 4:34
  have
• 4:34
  that
• 4:35
  gratitude,
• 4:36
  you'll
• 4:36
  see
• 4:36
  just
• 4:36
  how
• 4:37
  much
• 4:37
  God
• 4:37
  has
• 4:37
  actually
• 4:38
  given
• 4:38
  you.
• 4:38
  Well,
• 4:38
  the
• 4:38
  second
• 4:39
  letter
• 4:39
  is
• 4:39
  L
• 4:40
  and
• 4:40
  that
• 4:40
  stands
• 4:40
  for
• 4:41
  learn.
• 4:41
  We
• 4:42
  all
• 4:42
  have
• 4:42
  to
• 4:42
  learn
• 4:43
  that
• 4:43
  mistakes
• 4:44
  are
• 4:44
  lessons
• 4:44
  in
• 4:44
  our
• 4:45
  stewardship.
• 4:46
  Listen,
• 4:46
  I'm
• 4:46
  going
• 4:46
  to
• 4:47
  let
• 4:47
  you
• 4:47
  out
• 4:47
  a
• 4:47
  little
• 4:47
  secret
• 4:48
  right
• 4:48
  now.
• 4:48
  You're
• 4:49
  not
• 4:49
  going
• 4:49
  to
• 4:49
  be
• 4:49
  perfect.
• 4:50
  You're
• 4:50
  going
• 4:50
  to
• 4:51
  make
• 4:51
  mistakes.
• 4:51
  I
• 4:51
  make
• 4:52
  mistakes.
• 4:53
  I
• 4:53
  have
• 4:53
  a
• 4:53
  degree.
• 4:53
  I
• 4:54
  have
• 4:54
  a
• 4:54
  master's
• 4:54
  in
• 4:54
  business
• 4:55
  administration
• 4:55
  and
• 4:55
  degree
• 4:56
  in
• 4:56
  accounting.
• 4:56
  Guess
• 4:56
  what?
• 4:57
  I
• 4:57
  make
• 4:57
  financial
• 4:58
  mistakes.
• 4:59
  You're
• 5:00
  going
• 5:00
  to
• 5:00
  make
• 5:00
  mistakes
• 5:00
  as
• 5:01
  well,
• 5:01
  but
• 5:01
  the
• 5:01
  key
• 5:01
  is
• 5:01
  to
• 5:02
  learn
• 5:02
  from
• 5:02
  them.
• 5:02
  So
• 5:03
  number
• 5:03
  two
• 5:03
  is
• 5:04
  the
• 5:04
  L,
• 5:04
  and
• 5:05
  that's
• 5:05
  learn.
• 5:06
  The
• 5:06
  E
• 5:06
  stands
• 5:07
  for
• 5:07
  examine.
• 5:08
  Now,
• 5:08
  a
• 5:09
  lot
• 5:09
  of
• 5:09
  people
• 5:09
  don't
• 5:09
  like
• 5:09
  the
• 5:10
  examination
• 5:10
  thing.
• 5:10
  You
• 5:10
  picture
• 5:11
  this
• 5:11
  light
• 5:11
  bulb
• 5:11
  above
• 5:12
  your
• 5:12
  head
• 5:12
  and
• 5:12
  it's
• 5:12
  pointing
• 5:13
  down
• 5:13
  on
• 5:13
  you.
• 5:14
  But
• 5:14
  you've
• 5:15
  got
• 5:15
  to
• 5:15
  critically
• 5:15
  look
• 5:15
  at
• 5:15
  your
• 5:16
  data.
• 5:16
  You
• 5:17
  can't
• 5:17
  sugarcoat.
• 5:17
  It's
• 5:17
  real
• 5:18
  easy
• 5:18
  to
• 5:18
  say,
• 5:18
  well,
• 5:18
  you
• 5:18
  know,
• 5:19
  things
• 5:19
  aren't
• 5:19
  too
• 5:19
  bad.
• 5:20
  Wasn't
• 5:20
  a
• 5:20
  big
• 5:20
  deal.
• 5:21
  That's
• 5:22
  called
• 5:22
  sugarcoating
• 5:23
  it.
• 5:23
  Sugarcoating
• 5:24
  it
• 5:24
  isn't
• 5:24
  going
• 5:24
  to
• 5:25
  help
• 5:25
  you.
• 5:25
  You
• 5:25
  got
• 5:25
  to
• 5:25
  critically
• 5:26
  look
• 5:26
  at
• 5:26
  the
• 5:26
  data.
• 5:26
  If
• 5:26
  you're
• 5:27
  examining
• 5:27
  your
• 5:27
  personal
• 5:27
  finances,
• 5:29
  look
• 5:29
  at
• 5:29
  where
• 5:29
  you're
• 5:29
  spending
• 5:30
  your
• 5:30
  money.
• 5:30
  Look
• 5:31
  at
• 5:31
  the
• 5:31
  direction
• 5:31
  of
• 5:32
  where
• 5:32
  your
• 5:32
  money's
• 5:32
  going,
• 5:33
  which
• 5:34
  leads
• 5:34
  us
• 5:34
  to
• 5:34
  A,
• 5:34
  and
• 5:35
  that's
• 5:35
  accept.
• 5:35
  Listen,
• 5:36
  we
• 5:36
  all
• 5:36
  make
• 5:36
  mistakes.
• 5:37
  I
• 5:37
  started
• 5:37
  by
• 5:37
  saying
• 5:38
  this
• 5:38
  a
• 5:38
  little
• 5:38
  while
• 5:38
  ago.
• 5:39
  None
• 5:39
  of
• 5:39
  us
• 5:39
  are
• 5:40
  perfect.
• 5:40
  If
• 5:41
  you're
• 5:41
  looking
• 5:41
  for
• 5:41
  perfection,
• 5:42
  you're
• 5:42
  going
• 5:42
  to
• 5:43
  constantly
• 5:43
  struggle.
• 5:44
  So
• 5:44
  accept
• 5:45
  that
• 5:45
  you've
• 5:45
  made
• 5:45
  mistakes.
• 5:47
  But
• 5:47
  the
• 5:47
  last
• 5:47
  is
• 5:48
  R,
• 5:48
  and
• 5:48
  that's
• 5:49
  refocus.
• 5:50
  So
• 5:50
  once
• 5:50
  you
• 5:50
  examine,
• 5:51
  once
• 5:52
  you
• 5:52
  learn,
• 5:52
  once
• 5:53
  you
• 5:53
  accept.
• 5:53
  But
• 5:54
  then
• 5:54
  you
• 5:54
  have
• 5:54
  to
• 5:54
  refocus
• 5:55
  because
• 5:55
  you
• 5:55
  got
• 5:55
  to
• 5:55
  use
• 5:56
  what
• 5:56
  you've
• 5:56
  learned
• 5:56
  to
• 5:56
  plan
• 5:57
  faithfully
• 5:57
  for
• 5:57
  the
• 5:57
  year
• 5:57
  ahead
• 5:58
  because
• 5:59
  it's
• 5:59
  real
• 5:59
  easy
• 5:59
  to
• 5:59
  stay
• 6:00
  stuck.
• 6:01
  But
• 6:01
  listen
• 6:01
  again,
• 6:02
  clear.
• 6:03
  Celebrate,
• 6:04
  learn,
• 6:04
  examine,
• 6:05
  accept,
• 6:06
  and
• 6:06
  refocus.
• 6:07
  Well,
• 6:07
  let
• 6:07
  me
• 6:08
  tie
• 6:08
  this
• 6:08
  into
• 6:08
  the
• 6:08
  Bible.
• 6:08
  We
• 6:09
  got
• 6:09
  a
• 6:09
  great
• 6:09
  verse
• 6:09
  from
• 6:10
  the
• 6:10
  Bible
• 6:10
  today.
• 6:10
  It
• 6:10
  comes
• 6:10
  from
• 6:10
  the
• 6:11
  book
• 6:11
  of
• 6:11
  Lamentations.
• 6:11
  I
• 6:12
  don't
• 6:12
  think
• 6:12
  I've
• 6:12
  actually
• 6:12
  ever
• 6:13
  used
• 6:13
  this
• 6:13
  one
• 6:13
  on
• 6:13
  the
• 6:13
  show,
• 6:14
  but.
• 6:14
  Lamentations,
• 6:15
  chapter
• 6:16
  3,
• 6:16
  verse
• 6:16
  40.
• 6:17
  It
• 6:17
  says,
• 6:17
  Let
• 6:17
  us
• 6:18
  examine
• 6:18
  our
• 6:18
  ways
• 6:18
  and
• 6:19
  test
• 6:19
  them,
• 6:19
  and
• 6:20
  let
• 6:20
  us
• 6:20
  return
• 6:20
  to
• 6:21
  the
• 6:21
  Lord.
• 6:22
  Well,
• 6:22
  think
• 6:22
  about
• 6:22
  that.
• 6:23
  Examine
• 6:24
  our
• 6:24
  ways.
• 6:24
  That's
• 6:24
  exactly
• 6:25
  what
• 6:25
  I'm
• 6:25
  talking
• 6:25
  about
• 6:25
  today.
• 6:26
  It
• 6:26
  doesn't
• 6:26
  say
• 6:26
  to
• 6:26
  get
• 6:26
  mired
• 6:27
  down
• 6:27
  in
• 6:28
  this
• 6:28
  feeling
• 6:28
  like
• 6:28
  you
• 6:28
  can't
• 6:29
  do
• 6:29
  it.
• 6:29
  Listen,
• 6:30
  you
• 6:30
  are
• 6:30
  going
• 6:30
  to
• 6:31
  struggle.
• 6:31
  You
• 6:31
  are
• 6:31
  going
• 6:32
  to
• 6:32
  fail.
• 6:32
  I
• 6:32
  remember
• 6:32
  the
• 6:32
  first
• 6:33
  time
• 6:33
  I
• 6:33
  rode
• 6:33
  my
• 6:33
  bike.
• 6:34
  I
• 6:34
  got
• 6:34
  on
• 6:34
  that
• 6:35
  bike
• 6:35
  and,
• 6:35
  man,
• 6:35
  I
• 6:35
  was
• 6:35
  tearing
• 6:36
  off
• 6:36
  for
• 6:36
  a
• 6:36
  couple
• 6:36
  seconds,
• 6:37
  and
• 6:37
  next
• 6:37
  thing
• 6:37
  you
• 6:37
  know,
• 6:37
  I'm
• 6:37
  laying
• 6:37
  in
• 6:38
  the
• 6:38
  side
• 6:38
  again.
• 6:38
  Well,
• 6:39
  you
• 6:39
  got
• 6:39
  to
• 6:39
  get
• 6:39
  back
• 6:39
  up
• 6:39
  and
• 6:40
  try
• 6:40
  again.
• 6:41
  And
• 6:41
  that's
• 6:41
  what
• 6:42
  it
• 6:42
  takes
• 6:42
  to
• 6:42
  really
• 6:43
  start
• 6:43
  the
• 6:43
  new
• 6:44
  year
• 6:44
  off
• 6:44
  with
• 6:45
  that
• 6:45
  clear
• 6:45
  focus.
• 6:46
  Well,
• 6:46
  let's
• 6:46
  pray
• 6:46
  together.
• 6:47
  Father
• 6:48
  God,
• 6:48
  we
• 6:48
  come
• 6:48
  to
• 6:48
  you
• 6:48
  right
• 6:49
  now.
• 6:49
  We
• 6:49
  just
• 6:49
  thank
• 6:49
  you
• 6:50
  for
• 6:50
  the
• 6:50
  growth
• 6:50
  that
• 6:51
  you've
• 6:51
  given
• 6:51
  us,
• 6:51
  that
• 6:51
  we've
• 6:52
  overlooked.
• 6:52
  And
• 6:52
  Lord,
• 6:53
  as
• 6:53
  we
• 6:53
  examine
• 6:54
  this,
• 6:54
  as
• 6:54
  we
• 6:54
  refocus
• 6:55
  in
• 6:55
  this
• 6:55
  season,
• 6:56
  Lord,
• 6:57
  help
• 6:57
  us
• 6:57
  to
• 6:57
  understand
• 6:58
  how
• 6:58
  we
• 6:58
  can
• 6:58
  change
• 6:59
  things.
• 6:59
  And
• 6:59
  Lord,
• 7:00
  give
• 7:00
  us
• 7:00
  grace
• 7:00
  to
• 7:01
  learn
• 7:01
  without
• 7:01
  guilt.
• 7:02
  It's
• 7:02
  so
• 7:02
  easy
• 7:02
  to
• 7:02
  get
• 7:03
  stuck
• 7:03
  in
• 7:03
  that
• 7:03
  fear
• 7:03
  and
• 7:04
  that
• 7:04
  situation
• 7:05
  of
• 7:05
  guilt.
• 7:05
  And
• 7:06
  Lord,
• 7:06
  we
• 7:06
  just
• 7:06
  ask
• 7:06
  for
• 7:07
  your
• 7:07
  wisdom
• 7:07
  to
• 7:07
  help
• 7:08
  us
• 7:08
  plan
• 7:08
  this
• 7:08
  next
• 7:09
  season
• 7:09
  of
• 7:09
  our
• 7:09
  lives,
• 7:09
  understanding
• 7:10
  that
• 7:11
  we've
• 7:11
  made
• 7:11
  mistakes.
• 7:11
  And
• 7:12
  we
• 7:12
  ask
• 7:12
  for
• 7:12
  your
• 7:12
  grace.
• 7:13
  Grace.
• 7:13
  And
• 7:13
  we
• 7:13
  ask
• 7:13
  for
• 7:14
  your
• 7:14
  mercy
• 7:14
  in
• 7:14
  this.
• 7:15
  Lord,
• 7:15
  show
• 7:15
  us
• 7:16
  how
• 7:16
  to
• 7:16
  be
• 7:16
  wise
• 7:16
  stewards
• 7:17
  of
• 7:17
  the
• 7:17
  things
• 7:17
  you've
• 7:18
  already
• 7:18
  provided
• 7:18
  for
• 7:18
  us.
• 7:19
  And
• 7:19
  we
• 7:19
  ask
• 7:19
  this
• 7:19
  in
• 7:20
  the
• 7:20
  name
• 7:20
  of
• 7:20
  Jesus.
• 7:21
  Amen.
• 7:22
  All
• 7:22
  right,
• 7:22
  you
• 7:22
  ready
• 7:22
  for
• 7:23
  your
• 7:23
  action
• 7:23
  item?
• 7:23
  Today
• 7:24
  we're
• 7:24
  going
• 7:24
  to
• 7:24
  start
• 7:24
  off
• 7:25
  on
• 7:25
  the
• 7:25
  positive
• 7:25
  note.
• 7:25
  I
• 7:26
  want
• 7:26
  you
• 7:26
  to
• 7:26
  list
• 7:26
  three
• 7:26
  wins,
• 7:27
  three
• 7:27
  lessons,
• 7:28
  and
• 7:28
  one
• 7:29
  area
• 7:29
  growth
• 7:29
  from
• 7:29
  this
• 7:30
  year.
• 7:30
  What
• 7:30
  is
• 7:31
  that
• 7:31
  going
• 7:31
  to
• 7:31
  mean?
• 7:31
  It
• 7:31
  means
• 7:31
  you're
• 7:31
  going
• 7:31
  to
• 7:32
  go
• 7:32
  back
• 7:32
  and
• 7:32
  look
• 7:32
  at
• 7:32
  what
• 7:32
  happened
• 7:33
  this
• 7:33
  year.
• 7:33
  Don't
• 7:34
  sugarcoat
• 7:34
  it.
• 7:34
  Go
• 7:35
  back
• 7:35
  and
• 7:35
  look
• 7:35
  what
• 7:36
  went
• 7:36
  on.
• 7:36
  Look
• 7:37
  at
• 7:37
  the
• 7:37
  things
• 7:37
  that
• 7:37
  worked,
• 7:38
  look
• 7:38
  at
• 7:38
  the
• 7:38
  things
• 7:38
  that
• 7:39
  didn't
• 7:39
  work,
• 7:40
  but
• 7:40
  really
• 7:40
  celebrate
• 7:41
  those
• 7:41
  wins.
• 7:41
  But
• 7:42
  then
• 7:42
  also
• 7:42
  take
• 7:43
  some
• 7:43
  time
• 7:43
  and
• 7:43
  say,
• 7:43
  you
• 7:44
  know
• 7:44
  what,
• 7:44
  I
• 7:44
  could
• 7:44
  really
• 7:44
  work
• 7:45
  on
• 7:45
  this.
• 7:45
  And
• 7:45
  then
• 7:46
  just
• 7:46
  take
• 7:46
  a
• 7:46
  minute
• 7:46
  and
• 7:47
  thank
• 7:47
  God
• 7:47
  for
• 7:47
  his
• 7:48
  faithfulness
• 7:48
  during
• 7:49
  all
• 7:49
  of
• 7:49
  this.
• 7:50
  And
• 7:50
  one
• 7:50
  of
• 7:50
  the
• 7:50
  ways
• 7:50
  you
• 7:51
  can
• 7:51
  continue
• 7:51
  your
• 7:51
  faithfulness.
• 7:52
  We
• 7:52
  just
• 7:52
  launched
• 7:53
  a
• 7:53
  new
• 7:53
  group.
• 7:53
  It's
• 7:53
  called
• 7:53
  the
• 7:54
  Financially
• 7:54
  Covenant
• 7:54
  Christian
• 7:55
  Community.
• 7:55
  And
• 7:56
  this
• 7:56
  is
• 7:56
  a
• 7:56
  wonderful
• 7:57
  place
• 7:57
  where
• 7:57
  you
• 7:57
  can
• 7:58
  go
• 7:58
  and
• 7:58
  share
• 7:58
  wisdom
• 7:59
  with
• 7:59
  other
• 7:59
  people.
• 7:59
  We
• 7:59
  can
• 8:00
  support
• 8:00
  one
• 8:00
  another
• 8:01
  and
• 8:01
  we
• 8:01
  can
• 8:01
  pray
• 8:01
  through
• 8:02
  every
• 8:02
  financial
• 8:02
  decision.
• 8:03
  It's
• 8:03
  a
• 8:03
  place
• 8:03
  to
• 8:04
  connect.
• 8:04
  It's
• 8:04
  a
• 8:04
  place
• 8:05
  to
• 8:05
  grow,
• 8:05
  and.
• 8:06
  And
• 8:06
  it's
• 8:06
  a
• 8:06
  place
• 8:06
  to
• 8:06
  walk
• 8:06
  in
• 8:07
  confidence
• 8:07
  together.
• 8:07
  If
• 8:08
  you're
• 8:08
  interested
• 8:08
  in
• 8:08
  joining
• 8:08
  it,
• 8:09
  it's
• 8:09
  absolutely
• 8:10
  free
• 8:10
  as
• 8:10
  a
• 8:10
  simple
• 8:11
  membership.
• 8:11
  You
• 8:11
  can
• 8:11
  go
• 8:12
  to
• 8:12
  financiallyconfidentchristian.com/join
• 8:15
  again.
• 8:15
  That's
• 8:16
  financiallyconfidentchristian.com/Join
• 8:19
  now.
• 8:19
  When
• 8:19
  you
• 8:19
  get
• 8:19
  there,
• 8:20
  you're
• 8:20
  going
• 8:20
  to
• 8:20
  find
• 8:20
  that
• 8:20
  there
• 8:21
  are
• 8:21
  some
• 8:21
  ways
• 8:21
  that
• 8:21
  you
• 8:21
  can
• 8:22
  upgrade
• 8:22
  if
• 8:22
  you
• 8:22
  want
• 8:22
  to
• 8:22
  support
• 8:22
  the
• 8:23
  show.
• 8:23
  So
• 8:23
  I
• 8:23
  encourage
• 8:24
  you
• 8:24
  to
• 8:24
  do
• 8:24
  that.
• 8:24
  But
• 8:24
  you
• 8:24
  can
• 8:24
  join
• 8:25
  absolutely
• 8:25
  free.
• 8:25
  Again,
• 8:26
  that's
• 8:27
  at
• 8:28
  financiallyconfidentchristian.com/join.
• 8:30
  So
• 8:31
  today
• 8:31
  take
• 8:32
  a
• 8:32
  moment
• 8:32
  to
• 8:32
  reflect
• 8:33
  because
• 8:33
  that
• 8:33
  reflection
• 8:34
  brings
• 8:34
  clarity.
• 8:35
  Once
• 8:35
  you
• 8:35
  take
• 8:35
  time
• 8:36
  to
• 8:36
  do
• 8:36
  that,
• 8:37
  then
• 8:37
  you
• 8:37
  can
• 8:37
  help
• 8:38
  God
• 8:38
  to
• 8:38
  use
• 8:38
  you
• 8:39
  to
• 8:39
  review
• 8:39
  and
• 8:40
  renew
• 8:40
  your
• 8:40
  path
• 8:41
  forward.
• 8:41
  Remember,
• 8:41
  you're
• 8:42
  not
• 8:42
  behind.
• 8:43
  You're
• 8:43
  being
• 8:43
  refined.
• 8:44
  So
• 8:45
  step
• 8:45
  forward
• 8:45
  in
• 8:45
  faith,
• 8:45
  knowing
• 8:46
  every
• 8:46
  season
• 8:46
  has,
• 8:47
  and
• 8:47
  we
• 8:47
  all
• 8:47
  have
• 8:47
  seasons
• 8:48
  in
• 8:48
  our
• 8:48
  lives.
• 8:49
  Every
• 8:49
  season
• 8:50
  is
• 8:50
  shaping
• 8:51
  what's
• 8:51
  next
• 8:52
  for
• 8:52
  you.
• 8:52
  So
• 8:53
  go
• 8:53
  out
• 8:53
  there
• 8:53
  today.
• 8:53
  I
• 8:53
  encourage
• 8:54
  you
• 8:54
  to
• 8:54
  be
• 8:54
  that
• 8:54
  financially
• 8:55
  confident
• 8:55
  Christian,
• 8:55
  because,
• 8:56
  listen,
• 8:56
  I
• 8:56
  know
• 8:56
  you
• 8:56
  can
• 8:56
  do
• 8:56
  this.
• 8:57
  Even
• 8:58
  amidst
• 8:58
  this
• 8:58
  time
• 8:59
  of
• 8:59
  really
• 8:59
  going
• 8:59
  back
• 9:00
  and
• 9:00
  seeing
• 9:00
  what
• 9:00
  happened.
• 9:01
  You
• 9:01
  have
• 9:01
  the
• 9:01
  skills
• 9:02
  to
• 9:02
  do
• 9:02
  this.
• 9:02
  You
• 9:02
  have
• 9:03
  the
• 9:03
  ability
• 9:03
  to
• 9:03
  do
• 9:03
  it.
• 9:03
  But
• 9:04
  better
• 9:04
  than
• 9:04
  all
• 9:04
  those
• 9:04
  things,
• 9:05
  God
• 9:05
  is
• 9:05
  with
• 9:06
  you.
• 9:06
  And
• 9:06
  if
• 9:06
  God
• 9:07
  is
• 9:07
  with
• 9:07
  us,
• 9:07
  who
• 9:08
  can
• 9:08
  stand
• 9:08
  against
• 9:08
  us?
• 9:09
  So
• 9:09
  today
• 9:09
  I
• 9:09
  want
• 9:10
  to
• 9:10
  encourage
• 9:10
  you,
• 9:10
  stay
• 9:10
  financially
• 9:11
  savvy
• 9:11
  out
• 9:11
  there.
• 9:12
  God
• 9:12
  bless
• 9:12
  you.
• 9:12
  And
• 9:13
  I'll
• 9:13
  see
• 9:13
  you
• 9:13
  again
• 9:13
  tomorrow
• 9:14
  on
• 9:14
  the
• 9:14
  show.
