- 0:00Hello friends! Welcome back to Wonderfully Made,
- 0:04Bible Stories for Children. I'm so glad you're
- 0:08here. Last time, we learned how God gave King
- 0:13Solomon a very special gift. Wisdom. Solomon
- 0:18asked God to help him know what was right and
- 0:21wrong, so he could lead God's people well. Today,
- 0:26We'll see what happens when Solomon's wisdom
- 0:29is tested. Are you ready for the story? Let's
- 0:35jump in. One day, two women came to see King
- 0:53Solomon. carrying one baby between them. They
- 0:58had a serious problem and asked the king to help.
- 1:01Both women had given birth around the same time,
- 1:05but one of the babies had died. Now each woman
- 1:09told her story. Each of them claimed that the
- 1:14living baby belonged to her and said the other
- 1:16woman was not telling the truth. The room grew
- 1:21quiet. No one else knew what had really happened.
- 1:26There were no witnesses. It seemed impossible
- 1:30to know who was right. Solomon listened carefully.
- 1:35He didn't interrupt. He didn't rush. He paid
- 1:40attention to every word. Then he made a surprising
- 1:44decision. He said that a sword should be brought.
- 1:48That way. the baby would be divided so that each
- 1:52woman could have a part. The people were shocked.
- 1:57But then something very important happened. One
- 2:02of the women cried out. She begged the king to
- 2:06let the baby live, even if that meant giving
- 2:09the child to the other woman. She said the baby
- 2:13should not be harmed. The other woman did not
- 2:17respond the same way. She wanted the baby to
- 2:21be divided. At that moment, Solomon knew the
- 2:25truth. He ordered that the baby be given to the
- 2:29woman who wanted the child to live. Solomon explained
- 2:33that this woman was the true mother, because
- 2:36real love protects life. When the people of Israel
- 2:40heard about this decision, they were amazed.
- 2:45They understood that God had truly given Solomon
- 2:48wisdom. They saw that the king ruled with fairness,
- 2:53understanding, and care. Solomon did not rush.
- 3:04He did not choose sides too quickly. He listened
- 3:09carefully and used wisdom to protect the child.
- 3:13That's what real wisdom looks like. Real wisdom
- 3:17helps us tell the truth from lies. Real wisdom
- 3:21chooses what is right even when the choice is
- 3:24hard. Let's think together. Have you ever been
- 3:32in a situation where you didn't know what the
- 3:35right thing to do was? Who could you ask for
- 3:41help or guidance when you're not sure what the
- 3:44right choice is? This story teaches us that wisdom
- 3:51is not about being the smartest person in the
- 3:54room. True wisdom is about loving what is right
- 3:58and doing what pleases God. And the most important
- 4:02thing to remember is this. Solomon's wisdom came
- 4:07from God. When we don't know what to do, we can
- 4:11ask God for wisdom too. He loves to help us.
- 4:18Thanks for joining me today to see an example
- 4:21of how wisdom helped Solomon lead God's people
- 4:25well. Next time, we'll see how he uses that wisdom
- 4:29to build something very special for God. Until
- 4:33then, remember, You are wonderfully made, and
- 4:37God is with you always. Bye for now.
