Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Steve Turley joined me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: The self-styled socialist mayor of New York City just got a brutal reality check and it happened less than two weeks into his administration.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Zoron Mamdoni, the 34-year-old Democratic Socialist of America member, just witnessed his first big promise crashing to the ground.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: His signature campaign pledge, the one that got him elected, just got blocked by the courts.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: The details will shock you.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: But what happens next could spell disaster for his already fledgling administration?
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: Hey gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, or a patron professor here to help you make sense of the madness with breaking news.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: And analysis, you're not going to hear anywhere else.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: So make sure to smack that bell and subscribe button just days after the ultra-left
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: He has already suffered his first political defeat, and it's a major one, because this is about far more than just one judge's decision.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's about whether government can seize private property in the name of social justice.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: This is about whether federal courts are going to protect.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: private property rights, or capitulate to socialist pressure.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: And it's about whether the Democrats' socialists of America can actually implement their radical agenda, or whether the law will stop them cold.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it appears.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's the latter.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's being widely reported that Mamedani just lost his first major legal battle in federal bankruptcy court.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: A judge completely shut down as it tempts to block the sale of over 5,000 rent stabilized apartments.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: And the real irony in all of this is you'll never guess who the buyer was that Mamedani tried to stop.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's in his Rayleigh real estate company.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: The man accused of being the most anti-Semitic mayor in New York's history just got outwitted by an Israeli real estate company.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you can't make this stuff up.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: And the timing, it's just days after he took off, it's promising to use government power to control the housing market, to basically seize private property in the name of his socialist schemes and the fallout.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: His entire campaign platform, the promises that got him elected, just got exposed as legally unenforceable fantasy.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: You see, Zoye Mamdon, a ran on an aggressively socialist platform.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking, you know, freeze rents for 1 million households, provide free child care, eliminate bus fairs.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: And here's the big one.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: force negligent landlords to sell their properties to the city if they don't pay their fines.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: Hours after being sworn in, Mamdoni visited building in Flat push Brooklyn owned by the Pinnacle Real Estate Group.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: They're real estate company that filed for bankruptcy in May of last year after defaulting on over half a billion dollars in loans.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now these aren't luxury condos we're talking about, obviously, pinnacle owned roughly about 5100 rent stabilized apartments across 90 buildings in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, and yes, conditions were terrible.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking over 5,000 housing violations, 14,000 tenant complaints, sewage backups, no heat, cockroach, and festations, expose wires, collapsing ceilings, I mean absolute squaller, but what the legacy meeting what MAMDONI refused to tell is that these conditions were the result of New York City laws that made it impossible to raise rents, which
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: to pay for all the upgrades that brought the apartments up to code.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: And so these very dilapidated conditions are actually the result of the very laws that Mamdoni supports and advocates, but that didn't matter.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Here's where Mamdoni saw his big moment.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: summit properties USA, that's the American arm of an Israeli real estate firm, they submitted the winning bid of $451 million dollars to buy up all of these properties out of bankruptcy.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: Mamdaani immediately announced the city would intervene to block that sale.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Now, his reasoning is that he alleged that pinnacle, the original owners, owed New York City $12.7 million in unpaid fines, making the city a creditor in the bankruptcy case.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: But it was very clear what his real agenda was.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Mamdaani wanted New York City, the government.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: he or at least his own approved far left non-profits to take control of those private properties.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: So this was going to be his litmus test for the entire socialist housing agenda that he campaigned on.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: If he could force a landlord who owed fines to the to the city to sell to the city instead of a private buyer who had just recently got approved, that would be a blueprint for seizing property all across New York.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: is that federal bankruptcy judge David Jones saw right through this.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: So in January 9th, Jones rejected the city's request without granting any delay whatsoever to the sale.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: The sale moved forward immediately and summit won the auction for $451.3 million and the private properties will now remain in private hands.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: So let me translate what just happened in plain English here.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: try to use unpaid fines as leverage to interfere in a private bankruptcy proceeding and dictate who could buy property in New York City.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: And if federal judge told him, FU, absolutely not.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have that authority and the free market will decide who owns these buildings.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is, without a doubt, the first and most significant legal setback for a mayor who's entire platform depends on government controlling the housing market.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: But what this ruling pretends to is something far more ominous for Mandoni than just a political setback.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: You see, something else is happening.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's happening in Mandoni's own backyard.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's indicative of a mass backlash against him and his socialism.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's far worse than anything either he or supporters could imagine in their most terrifying nightmares.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Wait until you see this.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: But first, it is the new year happy new year to all of you.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: And that means one thing, of course, resolutions, right?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: People are setting big goals right now.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's the time to what, lose weight.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: eat better, feel better, have more energy, finally feel like yourself again, but let's be honest, most people make the same resolutions every year and by February, they're frustrated because nothing's really changed and here's why.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: Most people try to start with discipline, but they skip the foundation because you're gut controls everything.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: If your gut isn't flamed, you're going to feel it everywhere, low energy, cravings you can't control,
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: brain fog, stubborn weight, frequent sickness, mood swings, and just a body that won't bounce back like it should.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, if you're serious about a real reset this year, don't start with motivation, start with your gut.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: The Kimchi I formula is one of the simplest ways to do it.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: Kimchi I is a daily capsule built around one of the most extensively studied fermented foods in the world.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Kimchi has been shown to support healthy digestion, strengthen the gut barrier, reduce inflammation, restore microbial balance, and help your body flush out toxins.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's exposed to, and this is what I like about it.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's not extreme.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a crash diet.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's one daily habit.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: that supports your body from the inside out.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: This recent study showed consumption of kimchi reduces body fat by 31.8%.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: It lowers BMI, and it promotes smaller waysline.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: So if your new year goal is to feel lighter, cleaner, sharper, and more energized, start with your foundation.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Kimchi won.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now for limited time only, take advantage of their new year's special by calling 888-597-0200.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: 33 for up to 50% off plus free shipping.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: The first 100 colors are also going to receive a free special New Year's gift.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Again, that's Triple 8, 597, 0233, don't wait, make 2026 the year.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: You turn your health around.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: Republicans in the burrow of statin island are ready to fracture New York City like never before in a statin island.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's the lone Republican stronghold among the five burrows.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: They are renewing their decades long push to succeed from the city.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: They were the only burrow that overwhelmingly voted against Mamdonny.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: and the New York Post is reporting that secessionist sentiments are now stronger than they've ever been statin island has actually been flirting with independence since the 1940s.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, back in 1993, a stunning 65% of residents voted for secession in a non-binding referendum.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: And it's absolutely doable.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: Districts are splitting off from their main cities and forming their
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: with increasing frequency if you don't know St. George Louisiana is one of the newest cities in the United States.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: It was formed by nearly 100,000 residents living on the southern side of Baton Rouge, who grew sick and tired of the dying decaying rot of that Democrat-run city, and so they decided to take matters in their own hands.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: So back in October of 2019, 54% of voters in that district, or parishes are called in Louisiana, voted in favor of succeeding from Baton Rouge and going independent.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: And as of last year, they were officially recognized as their own independent municipality.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: The city of Memphis has actually been carved up at least three times over the last several years through the exact same process.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's a fancy, schmancy word known as Deanxation.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: So, Staten Island, which is over a half a million residents, most certainly can succeed from New York City.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: But beyond that, their backlash to Mamedani shows how his brand of socialism is not only alarming conservatives,
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: But it's also red-pilling, previously disengaged for skeptical New Yorkers who now see up close, up close, both, Mamdonis ideology and his inability to deliver.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the deadly combination here.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: Many of you, Mamdoni, as a trust fund, baby ideologue, right?
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: Exporting policies that fit left-wing on-clays, but clash with the more suburban middle-class, pro-police culture of Staten Island.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, he actually had a recent visit to the borough, which was meant to try to reassure and a swage the concerns of residents.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: that he had their best interest in mind and the like, his visit only ended up intensifying resentment and hardened the sense that city holes run by a bunch of left-wing lunatics who neither understand nor care about statin Islanders.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: GOP legislatures are now framing mandani's win as proof that Staten Island's voice has been permanently diluted inside a city dominated by socialist and progressives making independence the only way to protect their values and their wallets.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Even some Democrats in the North Shore admit that the emotional appeal of secessionism is growing as residents feel increasingly ignored on
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: But what makes things so much worse for Mamedani?
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just a matter of him being a socialist.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's that people already doubt he can deliver on what he promised.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: His ambitious pledges on housing, transit, social services are already colliding with both fiscal and legal reality.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: Our nation and our cities are simply not legally or economically structured for socialist fantasies.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so Mamdoni is already finding that out that he simply can't deliver on even a fraction of what he promised.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: And so what's happening is he's creating sort of a perfect storm for revolt.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: He already has those opposed to socialism rising up against him, like the residents of Staten Island, but increasingly he's going to have very disappointed constituents all throughout the five burrows, who are more and more realizing that he's basically a fraud.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's a socialist champ.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's simply incapable of delivering on what he promised, which means that they can easily easily shift their loyalties, their allegiances away from the populist left, and instead side with the populist right.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: And not only does that further intensify the Session of Sentiments of Staten Island, but then you're going to start seeing primary challengers in the Democrat party where even
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: Regardless, Zoham Amdani has just faced his first major political defeat, and given the absurdities of what he promised, it most certainly will not be his last.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: Again, quick question.
