- 0:06Speaker 1: I hope you're very welcome into this week's edition of
- 0:08Speaker 1: the Irish Theaters Podcast, presented by Erlings. But can you
- 0:11Speaker 1: believe it? After all the weeks and the months of
- 0:14Speaker 1: looking forward to the NFL season and getting excited and
- 0:18Speaker 1: just waiting for Steels football, we're already in week seventeen
- 0:21Speaker 1: of the season. And I know for some people, including myself,
- 0:25Speaker 1: it's sad. It's a bit depressed, and you sort of
- 0:27Speaker 1: know yourself. We're going into like a nine month off
- 0:29Speaker 1: season here, seven month off season hopefully for us, but
- 0:32Speaker 1: we are getting closer to the end than the beginning.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Two regular season games for the Staelers to finish off
- 0:40Speaker 1: the regular season more or not in the second first
- 0:42Speaker 1: off this is going out on Friday, on Sin Steven's
- 0:45Speaker 1: Day or in Boxing Day if you are in the North,
- 0:48Speaker 1: of course, folks, Happy Christmas, not like Conna. I hope
- 0:52Speaker 1: you have a great Christmas and obviously hope you have
- 0:54Speaker 1: an even better Christmas weekend with the Steelers playing this
- 0:57Speaker 1: Sunday on the road against the Cleveland Browns before I
- 1:01Speaker 1: bring my guest in a number of different scenarios to
- 1:04Speaker 1: talk about this weekend. So podcast, if you're listening on
- 1:08Speaker 1: Friday or Saturday morning, you're getting the full scoop because
- 1:11Speaker 1: a lot can change. Really, we will see Ravens play
- 1:15Speaker 1: the Packers Saturday night. Steelers travel the feast the Cleveland
- 1:18Speaker 1: Browns on Sunday evening. The game is on NFL Game
- 1:23Speaker 1: Pass on the Zone, and I guess in terms of
- 1:26Speaker 1: the playoffs, it's in the Steelers hands. But at the
- 1:29Speaker 1: same time it isn't you know, in terms of the
- 1:31Speaker 1: AFC North, if the Ravens don't win against the Green
- 1:34Speaker 1: Bay Packers on Saturday night, the Steelers will win the
- 1:38Speaker 1: AFC North. Or if the Ravens defeat the Packers, all
- 1:42Speaker 1: the Steelers need to do this week to cement it
- 1:45Speaker 1: this week is to beat the Cleveland Browns on the road.
- 1:49Speaker 1: There are two scenarios, so in terms of that Baltimore
- 1:52Speaker 1: loss or just a Pittsburgh win generally, which gets there.
- 1:55Speaker 1: If Pittsburgh do not win this weekend and Baltimore win
- 1:59Speaker 1: in Green Bay, it goes to Wiki eighteen in what
- 2:01Speaker 1: would potentially most likely be Game two seventy two to
- 2:05Speaker 1: win the AFC North Ravens against the Steelers. Time will tell. Hopefully,
- 2:12Speaker 1: we are having a little party of the podcast early
- 2:15Speaker 1: next week. And look, before we start off here, a
- 2:18Speaker 1: number of different points to talk about. First off, Males
- 2:21Speaker 1: Garrett is one sack away from the NFL record. He
- 2:25Speaker 1: sits on twenty two regular season sacks Tej Watt, obviously
- 2:30Speaker 1: sharing with Michael Strang in twenty two point five. He'll
- 2:33Speaker 1: be looking to get that this week. And in terms
- 2:35Speaker 1: of that Ravens playoff permutation. At the time of recording,
- 2:39Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson has not trained this week. That may change,
- 2:45Speaker 1: but obviously the Ravens will be disappointed. But what happened
- 2:48Speaker 1: last week there does just feel like an opportunity to points.
- 2:52Speaker 1: And as we are here on the Irish Theaters podcast
- 2:54Speaker 1: presented by Erling still lead of the welcome in my
- 2:57Speaker 1: co host this week Davog McKee and Davog a very
- 3:00Speaker 1: very very Christmas to you. How are you doing man?
- 3:03Speaker 1: Not like Connor?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Yeah, not so bad, Michael, coming a lot of time
- 3:06Speaker 2: of the year, not just the you know, the end
- 3:09Speaker 2: of the NFL season, but also Christmas, you know, nearly
- 3:12Speaker 2: time to get the turkey in the turkey in the oven,
- 3:16Speaker 2: get the stuff on ready and sit down and watch
- 3:19Speaker 2: some Steelers football as well. So yeah, good to be
- 3:21Speaker 2: here and looking forward to to reviewing that wild game,
- 3:26Speaker 2: to say the least, on Sunday night.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Right, more importantly, yesterday, did you get any any Steelers gifts?
- 3:32Speaker 1: I'm presuming the one gifts you want is an R.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Doublin game.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yeah, well, aside from an Aron Rodgers twelve Steelers jersey,
- 3:41Speaker 2: one thing I would really love this year, Michael, is
- 3:43Speaker 2: play a playoff berth or even a playoff win, which
- 3:46Speaker 2: will be the first and you know, close to ten
- 3:48Speaker 2: years anyway, I'm pretty sure you know we're hoverning around then,
- 3:50Speaker 2: but that would be the one thing I would request.
- 3:53Speaker 2: A game in Dublin. I think maybe another game in
- 3:55Speaker 2: Dublin would be another thing, but yeah, you know, I'll
- 3:59Speaker 2: keep it saying this year. The one thing I want
- 4:01Speaker 2: this year to playoff win, which you'll obviously be a
- 4:04Speaker 2: bit later because obviously it's January when that will roll around.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But aside from that, you know, I'm not gonna be great.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I'm not gonna ask for much else, you know, watching
- 4:14Speaker 2: that game on Sunday for like an early prison Christmas present,
- 4:19Speaker 2: looking forward to breaking it down a bit more depth.
- 4:21Speaker 2: But yeah, I've barely recovered from that.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Now, let's look back at that Lions game. It's funny
- 4:26Speaker 1: I started off the podcast Dovog and I didn't even
- 4:28Speaker 1: mention the fact that that win on Sunday night was clutch.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It was classic Steelers. It was an instant classic of
- 4:36Speaker 1: a game as well in terms of it had ended,
- 4:38Speaker 1: but in terms of what we have and in terms
- 4:40Speaker 1: of what the Staeiers team has, that run game, Dvog
- 4:43Speaker 1: was explosive, isn't it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: You know, Michael, if you hadn't come out of this
- 4:48Speaker 2: game talking about a one two punch, you would have
- 4:51Speaker 2: been forgiven about talking about Jamior Gibbs and Dave Montgomery.
- 4:54Speaker 2: But our run game with Gill and Moore and Kennef
- 4:57Speaker 2: gain Will absolutely sensious. No, just having a look the
- 5:00Speaker 2: starts there. I mean, Jayleen Warren one hundred and forty
- 5:02Speaker 2: three yards Russian. I'm pretty confident that's his most as
- 5:06Speaker 2: a Steeler. You know Kenneff Gainwell, who had a monster game,
- 5:09Speaker 2: the amazing catch on the on the sideline. Still don't
- 5:12Speaker 2: know how he managed to come up with that one.
- 5:14Speaker 2: He had fifty yards as well, and you know, of
- 5:17Speaker 2: course that touchdown was was you know, breathtaking to say
- 5:20Speaker 2: the least so that two headed monster, which we talked
- 5:23Speaker 2: about at the start of the year. I mean, there
- 5:25Speaker 2: was question mores whether to see if Jayleen Warren could
- 5:27Speaker 2: elevate his game into starting you know, NFL running back,
- 5:32Speaker 2: and he's answered question every single week this year. And
- 5:36Speaker 2: my opinion in Keneff Gainwell, I mean, I think I
- 5:38Speaker 2: saying that Aaron Rodgers mentioned in his postgame press conference
- 5:42Speaker 2: he wished he had been playing with game well for
- 5:44Speaker 2: the past ten years of his career, and that's how
- 5:47Speaker 2: much of a of a special player he is, to
- 5:50Speaker 2: say the least. So the wrong game was fantastic. You know,
- 5:55Speaker 2: there was a you know, Darnell Washington had the you know,
- 5:58Speaker 2: the penalty, he was able to as back as well.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I was pretty impressed with how he played. And of course,
- 6:05Speaker 2: you know the offensive line who comes under a lot
- 6:07Speaker 2: of stick, you know, quite a lot. I thought they
- 6:09Speaker 2: played superably as well. So all in all, very impressive victory,
- 6:14Speaker 2: you know, on a game that you know, most people
- 6:16Speaker 2: would have put down as a loss, particularly at the
- 6:18Speaker 2: start of the season. You know, in Detroit, fantastic year
- 6:21Speaker 2: last year. You know, coming in off across the wave,
- 6:24Speaker 2: they've had their own struggles obviously, you know, losing both coordinators,
- 6:28Speaker 2: but ultimately very very happy with how some they went
- 6:31Speaker 2: and things are looking up with your theaters on.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Big win for the team, though, I think to go
- 6:35Speaker 1: on the road to an NFC North rival that is
- 6:38Speaker 1: playing for their lives and was playing for their lives
- 6:41Speaker 1: at that time, really down edge of your seat football
- 6:46Speaker 1: in winter. You know, it feels like we have really
- 6:49Speaker 1: turned the corner here. We will have one eye on
- 6:52Speaker 1: Lambo on Saturday night. That being said, no matter what
- 6:54Speaker 1: happens in and we are in sounds good, doesn't it.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be watching that game with close attentionent on
- 7:03Speaker 2: Saturday night. What a way would be as well? You
- 7:06Speaker 2: know the Packers of all teams, which could have give
- 7:09Speaker 2: Aran Rodgers his first FC North title, it's his old time,
- 7:13Speaker 2: the Green Bey Packers, So I'll be keeping a close
- 7:16Speaker 2: eye on that one. Of course, I kept the close
- 7:17Speaker 2: eye on the Sunday game. You know, the Patriots was
- 7:20Speaker 2: rooting for them and they came up trumps. And you know,
- 7:23Speaker 2: the Ravens just haven't been the up the races at
- 7:26Speaker 2: all this year. I mean La Mars been carrying that
- 7:27Speaker 2: injury and you know, never like to see, you know,
- 7:31Speaker 2: players be hindered from injury. But it's it's been a
- 7:35Speaker 2: good year for the Steelers in terms of, you know,
- 7:37Speaker 2: the rest of the division sort of tend to fold.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So I'm happy enough, and as I mentioned there, I'll
- 7:42Speaker 2: be watching them with close and Tan Saturday night.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I confidently you daog generally down the stretch in terms
- 7:48Speaker 1: of just you know what lies ahead in two weeks
- 7:51Speaker 1: regular season playoffs. It comes down the clutter performances, and
- 7:55Speaker 1: for me, it comes down to having guys that have
- 7:57Speaker 1: been there and they have done it. They have and
- 8:00Speaker 1: warn the T shirt, and this is where you need
- 8:03Speaker 1: a healthy, a fit or a relatively you know, good
- 8:07Speaker 1: performing Aaron Rodgers under center. He is thriving. He looks
- 8:12Speaker 1: happy under center, he looks motivated, and I think he
- 8:15Speaker 1: could be a real X factor Dobug for this team
- 8:19Speaker 1: when push comes to shove late in the season.
- 8:23Speaker 2: You know, if you had to ask me a couple
- 8:24Speaker 2: of weeks ago, Michael, if I had been confidence, not
- 8:27Speaker 2: at all. You're going back to the Sunday night lost
- 8:31Speaker 2: the Chargers the Bills game. You know where we just were.
- 8:35Speaker 2: We're looks so offensively fragile. Now things are really locking up.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I mean, you get a win against a team that
- 8:43Speaker 2: a lot of people to center our Super Bowl contender,
- 8:45Speaker 2: like the Detroit Lance. You know, with a coach like
- 8:48Speaker 2: Don Campbell, people take them seriously. When you get a
- 8:51Speaker 2: win like that, people all of a sudden start to
- 8:53Speaker 2: take note. And I feel like we're finally starting to
- 8:56Speaker 2: get the platuts. You know, us fans that we've been
- 8:58Speaker 2: patient all year with the stagnant offense, say the least,
- 9:03Speaker 2: so very confident. I don't think there's many teams in
- 9:07Speaker 2: the FC. I mean, if you look at that FC,
- 9:09Speaker 2: I matched it a couple of weeks ago on the podcast.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I mean, it's there for the taken. You know, Danver
- 9:14Speaker 2: had a widely bad loss against the Jags. You know
- 9:17Speaker 2: the Jags are definitely beatable New England as well. You
- 9:21Speaker 2: know they've been up and down. You know that they have.
- 9:23Speaker 2: The Bills lost last week. Of course, they bounced back
- 9:25Speaker 2: with a win on Sunday, and apart from that, you
- 9:28Speaker 2: I mean, the Chargers, the Bills have had their own problems.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I mean, this is an FC that's up to the taken.
- 9:33Speaker 2: So the question now, but am I confident? The answer
- 9:37Speaker 2: is yes. But at the same time, you know, you
- 9:39Speaker 2: can't get too far ahead of yourself, and we can
- 9:41Speaker 2: really take by take a week by week, and we
- 9:44Speaker 2: will be by having a look at, you know, the
- 9:46Speaker 2: Browns game, which is obviously a drop game it has
- 9:50Speaker 2: been for the past few years heading up to Cleveland.
- 9:52Speaker 2: So yeah, looking forward to breaking that one down as
- 9:55Speaker 2: well with you.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Okay, We're gonna hear from coach Tomlin this week on
- 9:59Speaker 1: the Irishers Podcast presented by Erlingas. Here he is ahead
- 10:02Speaker 1: of the game on Sunday against the Cleveland Brunners.
- 10:06Speaker 3: You know, quite frankly, they're the number one unit in
- 10:08Speaker 3: the AFC North. They are statistically, they're better than any
- 10:13Speaker 3: other unit in the North offensively or defensively. They got
- 10:17Speaker 3: what appears to be a slam dunk defensive player of
- 10:20Speaker 3: the year. They got what appears to be a slam
- 10:22Speaker 3: dunk defensive rookie of the Year in their front seven.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Miles Garrett has certainly been an issue for us in
- 10:29Speaker 3: that venue. I think he's had five sacks against us
- 10:32Speaker 3: in our last two trips, neither of which we won.
- 10:36Speaker 3: And so we understand the gravity of what we're going
- 10:40Speaker 3: into and how they engineer victory and who's significant in
- 10:44Speaker 3: doing so. He's at the doorstep of history, and so
- 10:48Speaker 3: we certainly have respect for that. They got a quality,
- 10:51Speaker 3: experienced coordinator in Jim Swartz who does a nice job
- 10:55Speaker 3: dividing the labor up and and really getting half the
- 10:58Speaker 3: people schematically. The environmental component of it, I'm sure will
- 11:02Speaker 3: be be something to combat. It always is going to Cleveland,
- 11:07Speaker 3: and so we got to put together a thoughtful plan.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Certainly we could potentially lack some significant people and so forth,
- 11:15Speaker 3: but again that's life. We better put together a thoughtful
- 11:19Speaker 3: plan in terms of how we divide the labor up
- 11:21Speaker 3: and and and and put ourselves in position to engineer victory.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Looking at their offense, they've changed a lot since the
- 11:30Speaker 3: last time we played them. The last time we played them,
- 11:32Speaker 3: Kevin Stefanski was the play caller. Now Tommy Reese is,
- 11:36Speaker 3: and certainly Uh the quarterback has changed. Shador is doing
- 11:40Speaker 3: a really good job. He's growing and growing with each
- 11:43Speaker 3: week from an outside his perspective, and I think it's
- 11:46Speaker 3: always cool when when you're growing with company. Certainly see
- 11:50Speaker 3: him gravitating towards some young players whose roles are expanding
- 11:54Speaker 3: since the last time we played them. Can't say enough
- 11:56Speaker 3: about Fanning and what he's doing. I think he's got
- 11:59Speaker 3: seventy catch which is in over seven hundred yards as
- 12:01Speaker 3: a rookie tight end. It's pretty special. Isaiah Bond's role
- 12:07Speaker 3: has grown in recent weeks and you see Shador really
- 12:10Speaker 3: looking for him down the field, and he's provided some
- 12:12Speaker 3: splash forum acquisition they got from the Jets, And Malachi
- 12:17Speaker 3: Corley wasn't heavily involved the last time we played him.
- 12:21Speaker 3: He appears to be increasingly so now reverses and so
- 12:26Speaker 3: forth man really utilizing his skill set and providing some
- 12:29Speaker 3: splash form. Man, it's really unfortunate that their top young
- 12:34Speaker 3: runner got hurt. I just got a lot of respect
- 12:37Speaker 3: for that young man and how he plays, and certainly
- 12:40Speaker 3: I never want to see anybody get hurt significantly that way,
- 12:43Speaker 3: and so just sitting well wishes to him, but also
- 12:47Speaker 3: understanding that one man's misfortune is another person's opportunity, and
- 12:50Speaker 3: so I'm sure they have some capable guys that have
- 12:53Speaker 3: been working behind the scenes and readying themselves for their opportunity,
- 12:57Speaker 3: and I certainly have respect for that. In the potential
- 13:00Speaker 3: of that, in the unknown component of that, we're no different.
- 13:05Speaker 3: You know, Dylan Cook is getting a lot of attention
- 13:08Speaker 3: for what he's provided us, but you know he's been
- 13:11Speaker 3: in working, in in in in the ranks for for
- 13:14Speaker 3: a long period of time. And I was never asking
- 13:16Speaker 3: him to be patient, but simply to work while he waited,
- 13:20Speaker 3: and it's paid off for him and us through his participation.
- 13:23Speaker 3: And so that's through the lens that we see their
- 13:26Speaker 3: running back position and we certainly better be ready to
- 13:28Speaker 3: minimize the run. It's kind of been a catalyst for
- 13:32Speaker 3: us in recent weeks, our ability to to improve our
- 13:36Speaker 3: run game on offense and and minimize opposing units run game.
- 13:41Speaker 3: And so I imagine this week will be no different. But
- 13:44Speaker 3: there's a lot of things to discuss. Man, these waters
- 13:46Speaker 3: run deep into visional play. I'm excited about it. I'm
- 13:52Speaker 3: sure our team will be. We better put together a
- 13:55Speaker 3: good play. We better have a no blink mentality. It's December.
- 13:58Speaker 3: It is that time of year. We anticipate being challenged
- 14:03Speaker 3: and challenged in a big way. That's life in this league.
- 14:07Speaker 3: But that's what we love, the competitors that we are.
- 14:10Speaker 3: We love that.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Great to hear from coach Tomlin ahead of this game
- 14:14Speaker 1: against the Cleveland Browns and Davogue. That's how a little
- 14:17Speaker 1: breakdown ourselves before we wrap up for Christmas this week.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I know people are looking to get their presence open
- 14:23Speaker 1: and to relax over the weekend, but it's important for
- 14:25Speaker 1: us to break down this game. Look, it's never easy
- 14:29Speaker 1: going in the Cleveland d avou and you know, things
- 14:32Speaker 1: change over time. I think of the different quarterbacks, the
- 14:34Speaker 1: different situations that Cleveland have had down through the years,
- 14:37Speaker 1: a bit different now we got s Sanders under center.
- 14:40Speaker 1: A lot of people will know Shadur in terms of
- 14:42Speaker 1: what is fathered on the league. A lot of people
- 14:43Speaker 1: to follow Shadur with guys like Travis Hunter in Colorado,
- 14:47Speaker 1: and people have seen what he can do. I actually
- 14:49Speaker 1: had the Jan Stavog to go to Burret, Ohio for
- 14:53Speaker 1: training camp, and to see the difference in the Browns
- 14:56Speaker 1: now than what was there in August is just incredible.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I impressed. Though. Have you been with Sanders?
- 15:04Speaker 2: Yeah, of course pretty impressed. I have to say, you know,
- 15:07Speaker 2: a fifth round pick, A lot of people considered him
- 15:10Speaker 2: as you know, a first second rounder. Big name of
- 15:13Speaker 2: course Sanders, you know from from prime He's coming in
- 15:18Speaker 2: with big expectations from the family side of things, but
- 15:21Speaker 2: you know, to sort of have things that have been
- 15:24Speaker 2: thrown his direaction. I mean, to be to knock down
- 15:26Speaker 2: so far down that draft board and then to come
- 15:29Speaker 2: in when you know he's had the bottle out with
- 15:31Speaker 2: Dylan Gabriel Joe Flacco in pre season. You know, I
- 15:35Speaker 2: have to say I have been impressed with how he's
- 15:37Speaker 2: dealt with that. And you know, he's playing all right.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I mean, you know, he's had a couple of topsy
- 15:42Speaker 2: turvy games. I mean with the turnovers. Of course, he's
- 15:45Speaker 2: a rookie, you can't be too harsh on them. But
- 15:47Speaker 2: there's been a few really really really bad turnovers and
- 15:50Speaker 2: I'm hoping to worry able to exploit on Sunday. But overall,
- 15:54Speaker 2: pretty impressive how he's played. And yeah, hopefully you know,
- 15:58Speaker 2: with in regards to the struggle with the turnovers, we
- 16:01Speaker 2: can continue to see that on Sunday, and yeah, looking
- 16:05Speaker 2: forward to seeing how we play.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I imagine that just at the start of this podcast,
- 16:09Speaker 1: the situation involving Miles Guard and it really is something
- 16:12Speaker 1: to look out for this weekend. You know, look, I'm
- 16:14Speaker 1: talking of my own back here. I'm not talking on
- 16:16Speaker 1: the team's back. But if the Baltimore Ravens will on Saturday.
- 16:19Speaker 1: So if the Baltimore Evens lose on Saturday, you know,
- 16:22Speaker 1: do we see coach Tomlin rest some people ahead of
- 16:26Speaker 1: the playoffs if they get into that point. Do we
- 16:28Speaker 1: see me as and Rudolph playing at Christmas? You know,
- 16:31Speaker 1: I think regardless who's playing, we know how much of
- 16:33Speaker 1: a game wrecker and a game changer that Miles Guard is.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You just feel for him that he's not probably getting
- 16:39Speaker 1: the opportunity to probably exploit himself more and more in
- 16:42Speaker 1: this league in terms of winning a Super Bowl, but
- 16:44Speaker 1: probably good for us. He's on the Browns and but
- 16:46Speaker 1: the height of what they have at the moment, and
- 16:49Speaker 1: he will want to do it over Pittsburgh. He will
- 16:51Speaker 1: want that record over in AFC noor thrival, won't he.
- 16:54Speaker 1: We need to stop him.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Man, Yeah, of course, you know, Males Yards He's not
- 16:58Speaker 2: a person I like talking about too much because you
- 17:02Speaker 2: know a lot of people will think that we're all
- 17:04Speaker 2: wor for introduce hit him. Oh he's not as good
- 17:06Speaker 2: as TJ. Blah blah blah. I still don't think he
- 17:08Speaker 2: is as good as TJ. Just for the record, but
- 17:11Speaker 2: he has had a very impressive seven. I'm not gonna lie.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I'm not gonna be a heter on this occasion, you know,
- 17:16Speaker 2: to be you know, one game, one game away, sorry,
- 17:20Speaker 2: one sack away from breaking that all time sack record
- 17:23Speaker 2: the TJ and Michael Strahana have set with two games
- 17:27Speaker 2: spur is pretty impressive stuff. All I want to see
- 17:31Speaker 2: is us prevent that from happening against us. He was
- 17:35Speaker 2: down for it durn someday against Josh Allen on the Bills.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I was watching him, you know, he was chomping at
- 17:39Speaker 2: the bit. He was given a half sacker believe for
- 17:41Speaker 2: that mess and Graham one just on the end line.
- 17:45Speaker 2: So please, if any offensive lineman is listening, do not
- 17:49Speaker 2: let this happen this weekend. We can't let it happen
- 17:51Speaker 2: on our watch. I mean, we still need to get
- 17:55Speaker 2: our PROO Pro Bowl, all time great pass rusher back.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Of course, you know, the main thing is his health.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Best wishes to TJ in his recovery. But yeah, in
- 18:05Speaker 2: terms of wise yard, all I want to see is
- 18:07Speaker 2: a Springett and not happening this Sunday. But of course,
- 18:10Speaker 2: you know, at the same time, I'm sure if you
- 18:12Speaker 2: would ask mause Yard. Is he gonna swap off for
- 18:14Speaker 2: a playoff Berth? You know he would say yes, I
- 18:16Speaker 2: would far rather be in our position than his, And yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 2: hopefully this Sunday we can kick the can down the
- 18:23Speaker 2: road for him.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Judkinsdog has been a huge piece in the army for
- 18:27Speaker 1: the Browns, not just in terms of his game racking
- 18:30Speaker 1: effective ability. He is so so fun to watch and
- 18:34Speaker 1: it almost seems a pity for a football fan to
- 18:36Speaker 1: see him go out for the season. Obviously injured last
- 18:40Speaker 1: week against the Buffalo Bills, and frankly on that note,
- 18:42Speaker 1: very quickly the Bills really headed up against them when
- 18:45Speaker 1: they faced the Browns. Yes, they won the game, but
- 18:48Speaker 1: by god, it wasn't easy. So definitely something for us
- 18:50Speaker 1: to look out for in terms of that there, Judkins
- 18:53Speaker 1: davog now out the run game for Cleveland is affected.
- 18:56Speaker 1: That's big for us.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yes, I've seen that on Sunday. I mean with the
- 19:00Speaker 2: broken leg. Never nice to see it. But you know,
- 19:04Speaker 2: he's a rookie as well. I'm sure he'll he'll bounce back.
- 19:07Speaker 2: He just needs his time to recover and I wish
- 19:10Speaker 2: him all the best even though he is a Cleveland Brown.
- 19:12Speaker 1: No matter what.
- 19:13Speaker 2: You never like to see injuries like that, so speedy
- 19:15Speaker 2: recovery the Judkins. Of course, it's something now that we
- 19:19Speaker 2: won't have to deal with, though I'm not entirely sure
- 19:23Speaker 2: who their their backup is. I mean, is it still forward.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I'm not entirely sure. He'll have to have a look
- 19:27Speaker 2: at that. But you know, if we can defend the run, Michael,
- 19:32Speaker 2: like we did on Sunday against Detroit Lands, I really
- 19:35Speaker 2: don't see this Cleveland Browns team having a stuff against us.
- 19:38Speaker 2: The defense was outstanded, not even just you know, against
- 19:40Speaker 2: the run. We really put Yard Goff under a lot
- 19:43Speaker 2: of pressure, you know, who's a season veteran at this point.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I mean, if we're able to do that to that
- 19:50Speaker 2: Detroit Lance team, I don't really see any reason as
- 19:53Speaker 2: to why we can't do it too to the Cleveland Browns.
- 19:55Speaker 2: So yeah, of course, you know that rung game isn't
- 19:59Speaker 2: going to be as as threatening as it once suppose before.
- 20:01Speaker 2: But we still have a lot of you know problem
- 20:04Speaker 2: you know, I mean, Jerry Duty's and a nice piece
- 20:06Speaker 2: David and Joku has helped you know, has a decent
- 20:09Speaker 2: season so far, and of course you there have to say,
- 20:14Speaker 2: but he's a lot more lusive than I originally thought
- 20:16Speaker 2: he was. So yeah, really really looking forward to seeing
- 20:20Speaker 2: how we you know, put him under pressure or sorry
- 20:24Speaker 2: neutral as on the run game and you know, stop
- 20:28Speaker 2: the offense as a whole. And you know, if we
- 20:30Speaker 2: can play our game offensively like we did on some
- 20:33Speaker 2: on Sunday, there's gonna be no stopping us.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yes, the Brown season has done, but my god, they
- 20:39Speaker 1: will want to spoil a party. They'll want to show
- 20:41Speaker 1: up Pittsburgh. What are your keys to the game?
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, game production for me as imagined that Michael. I
- 20:48Speaker 2: don't see the Cleveland Brown stop must now. Of course
- 20:51Speaker 2: it's a It's an FC North Divisional game. You know,
- 20:54Speaker 2: the Browns. This is the Brown super Bowl. We know
- 20:57Speaker 2: that they always like to play well against us, particularly
- 21:01Speaker 2: in Cleveland. Our record in Cleveland in the past few
- 21:04Speaker 2: years has not been great. I mean, we've lost the
- 21:06Speaker 2: Gamus Winston in the snow last year, the watch party,
- 21:09Speaker 2: I believe the first watch party was against the Browns.
- 21:12Speaker 2: We lost that one that was away to the Browns.
- 21:15Speaker 2: So I'm never gonna take it lightly. But I do
- 21:19Speaker 2: think you know, if you look at their pixes on offense.
- 21:21Speaker 2: You know Judkins had injured. You know, they've really towed
- 21:26Speaker 2: the line in terms of you know, I think they're
- 21:28Speaker 2: three and twelve now, they'll be have one eye on
- 21:31Speaker 2: that number one pick. So I'm gonna go Steelers thirty,
- 21:35Speaker 2: Browns seventeen. You can take that to the bank and
- 21:38Speaker 2: hopefully that will secure our playoff win.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Okay, game prediction for medlog, I'm gonna say the Steelers
- 21:44Speaker 1: win this twenty seven to fourteen, regardless who plays a quarterback.
- 21:49Speaker 1: In terms of playoff promotations, we obviously expect Rogers to
- 21:52Speaker 1: play folks, but you never know. With Saturday evening with
- 21:55Speaker 1: the Ravens and the Packers, time will tell all that there.
- 21:58Speaker 1: That Ravens Packers game is one twenty am Sunday morning,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and then obviously we're six o'clock in the early window
- 22:05Speaker 1: on Sunday. As I said, there are Steelers Browns coming
- 22:08Speaker 1: up on Sunday, December the twenty eighth. The game is
- 22:12Speaker 1: an NFL game Pass on the Zone if you're out
- 22:14Speaker 1: and about visiting the family across the island of Ireland,
- 22:17Speaker 1: and you can listen on the OTB Sports app as well.
- 22:20Speaker 1: A big game for Stailers big, big, big weekend in
- 22:23Speaker 1: terms of getting that up, getting that AFC North hopefully
- 22:26Speaker 1: wrapped up. Hopefully by the time we talk to you
- 22:29Speaker 1: next week, we'll be AFC North champions for myself. From
- 22:32Speaker 1: Michael and from Davog. We want to wish you not
- 22:35Speaker 1: just the very Mary Christmas, not l'conna, but a happy
- 22:37Speaker 1: new Year as well, and we'll be back looking ahead
- 22:39Speaker 1: the week eighteen on the Irish Theaters podcast presented by Erlingus.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Next week here, take care and we'll chat to you,
- 22:45Speaker 1: said
- 23:02Speaker 2: Proble.
