- 0:01Speaker 1: Thank you. Welcome to the favorites presented by DraftKings. The
- 0:12Speaker 1: crown is yours. We are an Action Network podcast. I'm
- 0:16Speaker 1: your host, Brandon Kravitz, joined by the first lady of
- 0:19Speaker 1: the pod, Kendra Middleton. Stats hound Evan Abrams here as well.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Week three, full breakdown, preview, and our five official plays.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Emerson from DraftKings is back and... We have some work
- 0:32Speaker 1: to do because we have started out quite poorly for
- 0:35Speaker 1: the crew. One and four last week in the contest, Kendra.
- 0:40Speaker 1: So we don't have a lot of wiggle room now.
- 0:42Speaker 1: We got to get hot quick.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Last week was my card and I am terrified of
- 0:47Speaker 2: you two for this week. So we'll see how it
- 0:49Speaker 2: goes because we really can't have this many stupid people
- 0:53Speaker 2: on one show. It's getting it's getting impressive.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I was talking a lot of shit to our audience
- 0:58Speaker 1: when the season started saying, you all think you can
- 1:01Speaker 1: beat us. We're the casuals. Watch us run you down. Well, thankfully,
- 1:07Speaker 1: it is a marathon, not a sprint, Kendra, and to
- 1:10Speaker 1: all of you. So have your fun while you can.
- 1:13Speaker 1: The bounce back is coming. And that is because we
- 1:15Speaker 1: have secret weapons in our back pocket. We have Dr.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Chow.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And we've got this man, Evan Abrams. Evan, the floor
- 1:23Speaker 1: is yours. Two-minute trends.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Wait, I got to start my two-minute clock. I didn't
- 1:31Speaker 2: think this through, you guys.
- 1:34Speaker 4: This is not going to take two minutes, so you
- 1:35Speaker 4: have no need to worry about it.
- 1:37Speaker 1: The sand in the hourglass is starting to run.
- 1:40Speaker 2: We're going.
- 1:41Speaker 5: And also, the fact is this.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I can't talk you guys into anything these days, so
- 1:45Speaker 4: don't blame it on me. Kitchen sink week is considered
- 1:49Speaker 4: like week three, week four. Brandon Anderson uses it all
- 1:52Speaker 4: the time, but that's kind of the trends and the
- 1:54Speaker 4: direction of that history tells us. 0-2 teams who are
- 1:58Speaker 4: 0-2 straight up in Week 3, facing a team with
- 2:00Speaker 4: at least one win, 19-9-1, against the spread since 2022.
- 2:04Speaker 4: 42-22 over the last decade. And that's betting the worst.
- 2:09Speaker 4: It's Atlanta, it's Washington, Miami, the Chargers, the Titans, and
- 2:12Speaker 4: the Bucs. And then teams who start 0-2 straight up
- 2:15Speaker 4: and against the spread, who are underdogs in Week 3,
- 2:18Speaker 4: facing an opponent who either has a straight up or
- 2:21Speaker 4: an ATS win. So teams who are not the 0-2.
- 2:24Speaker 4: 28-14 against the spread since 2015. Falcons, Dolphins, Chargers, Bucs.
- 2:32Speaker 4: And the other one that I think is a little
- 2:33Speaker 4: crazy is first nine games regular season, early season, home
- 2:37Speaker 4: dogs of seven plus points, which now looks like it's
- 2:41Speaker 4: definitely Miami. And it could be Washington. Depends on what's
- 2:44Speaker 4: happened there. 23-4-2 against the spread since 2022, covering by
- 2:50Speaker 4: over six points per game. So it is bet the bad.
- 2:54Speaker 4: And that's usually how it works in weeks three and four.
- 2:56Speaker 6: Wow.
- 2:56Speaker 2: A minute and 21 seconds, Evan. That was good.
- 2:59Speaker 3: That was good.
- 3:00Speaker 4: No, we're good. I'm a professional, guys. I'm a professional,
- 3:04Speaker 4: at least in speaking.
- 3:05Speaker 3: The meat left on the bone as well.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I guess the question I have in my one follow-up
- 3:10Speaker 1: here is... with this being such public knowledge everywhere I look,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I am seeing, I'm seeing more week three trends shared
- 3:20Speaker 1: than I saw in week two, which is also a
- 3:22Speaker 1: heavy trends week. Is this stuff priced in? We hear
- 3:27Speaker 1: the terminology. This is baked into the line all the time.
- 3:30Speaker 6: Sure.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Well, but it, but is it, I mean, are, are
- 3:33Speaker 1: we seeing these dogs with some shaven numbers because of
- 3:38Speaker 1: the trends or do the books just say, Hey, the
- 3:40Speaker 1: trends are the trends. We're just going to go with
- 3:42Speaker 1: our power ratings and injuries.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I think it's still game by game. Look at the
- 3:46Speaker 4: four examples I gave you off the bottom. Atlanta, Miami, Chargers,
- 3:49Speaker 4: Tampa Bay. Atlanta's come down three and a half points,
- 3:52Speaker 4: but that's because of Pennix. Tampa Bay's basically come down
- 3:55Speaker 4: like a point or two, but I think that's based
- 3:58Speaker 4: off team. You look at Miami and the Chargers, they
- 4:00Speaker 4: basically haven't moved. And I think that's more based off opponents.
- 4:03Speaker 4: So I still think it's way game to game than
- 4:05Speaker 4: it is anything blanketed here.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Well, you're not done with you, Abrams. So don't you
- 4:09Speaker 3: move a muscle.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Dr.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Chow, Emerson Lotzi, a five contest plays nominated. But first,
- 4:16Speaker 1: let's hear from the King of Kings, DraftKings.

- 4:53Speaker 1: No week of game previews can continue without a chat
- 4:57Speaker 1: with the doc.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Dr. David Chow joins us from SixScore.com, our go-to source.
- 5:04Speaker 1: For injury news, information, and pricing, in week two of
- 5:08Speaker 1: the NFL, the sick premium model helped subscribers win over
- 5:11Speaker 1: 12 units, all based on their injury intel. And Doc,
- 5:16Speaker 1: I'll have you know, Kendra has already shifted her format
- 5:20Speaker 1: of betting to tilt in the side of making sure
- 5:24Speaker 1: that she reads through all of your injury scores before
- 5:27Speaker 1: placing any bets because we got absolutely slaughtered last week.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Let me tell you something. Yeah, we were six and
- 5:33Speaker 5: one and the three and two stars picks hit and
- 5:35Speaker 5: they were plus 12 some units. It's not like that
- 5:37Speaker 5: every week. But here's the thing. We try and stay
- 5:40Speaker 5: away from the clunkers, get on the blowouts, and we'll
- 5:43Speaker 5: take the coin flips. And it's all based on injuries.
- 5:46Speaker 5: And look, you guys are very experienced. I'm not really
- 5:49Speaker 5: a better. You guys are. What you should do is say,
- 5:52Speaker 5: I like Team X. Check out the injury. That makes
- 5:55Speaker 5: me like Team X more. Go two units or maybe
- 5:58Speaker 5: go half a unit. Like, you know, it's just one
- 6:00Speaker 5: factor in what you all should do, right? It's never
- 6:03Speaker 5: the be all end all.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Nothing is. You know, we are.
- 6:07Speaker 5: We're out here.
- 6:08Speaker 1: We're just making jambalaya with this sports betting. You throw
- 6:12Speaker 1: a bunch of stuff in there. And hope that we
- 6:14Speaker 1: come out on top. We've seen a lot of quarterbacks
- 6:17Speaker 1: hit the shelf already early on this season. Jackson Dart,
- 6:21Speaker 1: Caleb Williams, Jaden Daniels, Kyler Murray. They all have something
- 6:24Speaker 1: in common. They're all running quarterbacks. Now, they didn't all
- 6:28Speaker 1: get hurt running. But still, is there a correlation to
- 6:32Speaker 1: a higher rate of injury with these mobile quarterbacks?
- 6:36Speaker 5: Yes. And here's what I mean. My guy, Phillip Rivers,
- 6:40Speaker 5: longtime guy, we've talked about on the show before. Basically,
- 6:43Speaker 5: he got hurt, but never really, he never missed a game,
- 6:46Speaker 5: Ironman streak. Eli Manning, pocket guy, Ironman long streaks. Tom Brady,
- 6:51Speaker 5: for the most part, one year. These were not running quarterbacks.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Running quarterbacks exposes you. It's like the more double black
- 6:59Speaker 5: diamond ski runs you take, the more chance of injury.
- 7:03Speaker 5: But it's not just running quarterbacks. It's the style of
- 7:07Speaker 5: play of extending plays. Jackson Dart wasn't running, but he
- 7:11Speaker 5: was in the pocket, jump pass, trying to extend plays.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Jayden Daniels, when he went down, he got stepped on.
- 7:18Speaker 5: He was trying to save himself and extend the play.
- 7:21Speaker 5: I'll add another one to that. Kyler Murray was clearly running, right?
- 7:25Speaker 5: And et cetera. But I'll add another one to that.
- 7:27Speaker 5: And Caleb Williams running. But Sam Darnold was extending a
- 7:31Speaker 5: play when he hurt his hip. So that's five starting
- 7:34Speaker 5: quarterbacks right there. They're not in the pocket throwing or
- 7:38Speaker 5: dumping the ball, getting rid of the ball. They're extending plays.
- 7:41Speaker 5: And that's where the injury risk comes from.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I want to piggyback off of this. Both Sam Darnold
- 7:48Speaker 2: and Caleb Williams are questionable for this weekend. What do
- 7:51Speaker 2: you see on the injury side? And I know that
- 7:54Speaker 2: we can't really predict or project who's going to play,
- 7:56Speaker 2: but you're the best at it. So who would you
- 7:58Speaker 2: assume is in or out for this weekend?
- 8:00Speaker 5: Well, we're not perfect at it, but we are pretty
- 8:04Speaker 5: good at telling you what the injury is. And when
- 8:07Speaker 5: Caleb Williams went down, the whole world said, uh-oh, non-contact.
- 8:12Speaker 5: And look at the way he was carted off and
- 8:15Speaker 5: he's done for the season. And we said, no, just hamstring.
- 8:19Speaker 5: And it turned out to be not only hamstring, but
- 8:21Speaker 5: grade one hamstring. This is why we always say, judge
- 8:25Speaker 5: the injury video, not the reaction to the injury. And
- 8:29Speaker 5: the reactions can be different. Caleb Williams is not playing
- 8:33Speaker 5: this week. Even if he could play from the pocket,
- 8:38Speaker 5: which is just not his style, you don't want to
- 8:42Speaker 5: turn a short-term injury into a longer-term injury. Caleb Williams
- 8:46Speaker 5: is not playing. As a matter of fact, I don't
- 8:47Speaker 5: think Bajent, the backup, is playing because the concussion is
- 8:51Speaker 5: likely Case Keenum. Sam Darnold amazingly has a chance to
- 8:56Speaker 5: play this weekend. I think this means for sure next weekend,
- 9:01Speaker 5: but possible this weekend.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Yes.
- 9:03Speaker 5: And that he's come a long way from that hip injury.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Can you explain what happened with Sam Darnold? Because you've
- 9:11Speaker 2: said a lot of hip. I know that there have
- 9:13Speaker 2: been some jokes that it was his ass online. I
- 9:15Speaker 2: still don't understand what happened to him. And I want
- 9:19Speaker 2: to make the ass injury jokes, but I feel like
- 9:21Speaker 2: I need to know what's going on before I can.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Well, the ass injury jokes come from glute tendon, right?
- 9:26Speaker 5: And glute is tendon. No offense, your ass, right? A
- 9:30Speaker 5: big part of your ass. But how does the glute
- 9:32Speaker 5: tendon get strained? The glute tendon gets strained because he
- 9:36Speaker 5: lands on his knee and the flexed hip gets driven
- 9:40Speaker 5: up and out. And that's how you strain the tendon.
- 9:43Speaker 5: So I think, look, it's all about coach speak and
- 9:48Speaker 5: injury management. And there's spin that goes on shocker. And look,
- 9:53Speaker 5: I think I can interpret coach speak a little bit
- 9:55Speaker 5: better because I was on the other side of it.
- 9:59Speaker 5: uh going back to philip rivers the one time he
- 10:01Speaker 5: played with a torn acl in that afc championship game
- 10:04Speaker 5: coach norv turner literally asked i said what are you
- 10:06Speaker 5: going to tell the media he said don't tell anyone
- 10:08Speaker 5: don't tell anyone even in our coaches meeting what he
- 10:10Speaker 5: really has i said okay what are you going to
- 10:12Speaker 5: tell the media and he goes mri pending i said
- 10:15Speaker 5: okay what are you going to tell him tomorrow and
- 10:17Speaker 5: he goes okay what should i tell him and came
- 10:20Speaker 5: up with an MCL, which he had, mild, right, to
- 10:22Speaker 5: hide it. So coach speak is part of this. I
- 10:25Speaker 5: think they wanted to signal Seattle that this is not
- 10:28Speaker 5: going to be a Bo Jackson. This is nothing to
- 10:30Speaker 5: worry about here. Let's not use the word hip, even
- 10:33Speaker 5: though it started out as hip. Let's say glute tendon
- 10:35Speaker 5: and pick out a piece of it, et cetera. It's
- 10:39Speaker 5: all in the messaging. And, you know, look, I try
- 10:43Speaker 5: and interpret for you guys.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I have one more piggy on this Bears-Eagles matchup. Saquon Barkley,
- 10:49Speaker 2: before I go and put some money on the Eagles,
- 10:52Speaker 2: any expectation that he will sit this week?
- 10:55Speaker 5: You make a very good point, and I've talked about
- 10:58Speaker 5: it this week. I have some worry for Saquon. First
- 11:02Speaker 5: of all, it was reported as a stinger. Most stingers
- 11:07Speaker 5: resolve very quickly. He did come back to the field
- 11:11Speaker 5: with that cowboy collar, but he really didn't return to
- 11:14Speaker 5: the game till late and was relatively inconsequential. Then comes
- 11:19Speaker 5: an MRI and an MRI is always negative on a stinger.
- 11:24Speaker 5: But the fact that they did an MRI may indicate
- 11:28Speaker 5: either the stinger is worse than they thought or they're
- 11:31Speaker 5: ruling out a disc issue. So I would be guarded
- 11:36Speaker 5: on Saquon Barkley right now and see what happens. I'm
- 11:40Speaker 5: hoping for the best, but there are some subtle signs
- 11:43Speaker 5: based on the video and how they've treated it that
- 11:46Speaker 5: there's a little bit iffiness here on Saquon.
- 11:49Speaker 2: This is why I wait.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I mean, it's such valuable information for us as we're
- 11:55Speaker 1: about to get into our game-by-game breakdown. And one of
- 11:57Speaker 1: the games that I think we're going to be the
- 11:59Speaker 1: most confused on is the international game this week between
- 12:02Speaker 1: the Ravens and the Cowboys. Zay Flowers is still dealing
- 12:05Speaker 1: with an injury to his hamstring. There's injuries on the
- 12:08Speaker 1: offensive line, Ronnie Stanley mispractice, Matabuke on the defense mispractice.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Are team physicians, coaches, those that are making the decisions
- 12:19Speaker 1: more cautious when it comes to international play, or are
- 12:23Speaker 1: all of these things treated the same?
- 12:26Speaker 5: Well, they're more cautious in some ways. They always look
- 12:31Speaker 5: at the schedule and say, rest here, short by, division games.
- 12:35Speaker 5: They always are schedule playing. Now, Matabuke is actually slated
- 12:40Speaker 5: to come back this week. But where the international travel
- 12:43Speaker 5: comes into play, especially for your gamblers, is if they
- 12:47Speaker 5: don't travel, they have to be declared out, right? That
- 12:52Speaker 5: was a rule that was instituted after Belichick, back in
- 12:55Speaker 5: the day, was following travel reports. So, you're not going
- 12:58Speaker 5: to fly Zay Flowers to Brazil immediately. on a long
- 13:02Speaker 5: flight on a hamstring if he's not going to play.
- 13:05Speaker 5: So you're going to hear about that earlier. That's what
- 13:08Speaker 5: you're going to hear. I think he's probably another week away.
- 13:12Speaker 5: This is where the international travel comes into play. And
- 13:16Speaker 5: the other thing is with Zay Flowers, speedster, you don't
- 13:19Speaker 5: want to turn a short-term hamstring into a long-term injury,
- 13:24Speaker 5: especially this early in the season. See Caleb Williams, Zay Flowers,
- 13:28Speaker 5: Puka Nakua with his hip, Nico Collins with his hamstring.
- 13:32Speaker 5: That's where you see some of the caution. And that's
- 13:34Speaker 5: why on last weekend, I was telling the fantasy world,
- 13:38Speaker 5: you better prepare for Monday night. There's not going to
- 13:41Speaker 5: be puka. You better have a plan. What happened with
- 13:44Speaker 5: Malik neighbors? That was such an odd injury. It felt
- 13:47Speaker 5: like you didn't really see anything happen. Usually if a
- 13:50Speaker 5: wide receiver gets hurt on what was an attempt at completion.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Usually there's a flag that goes with it. There was nothing.
- 13:58Speaker 1: There was marginal contact and he was grabbing at his shoulders.
- 14:02Speaker 1: If that thing hurt pretty bad, what did you see
- 14:04Speaker 1: in the moment? And what do you think that means
- 14:06Speaker 1: for him moving forward?
- 14:08Speaker 5: In the video, in the moment, and then doing our
- 14:12Speaker 5: data bank research at Sports Injury Central, that was a
- 14:16Speaker 5: right shoulder subluxation as he was hand fighting. The shoulder
- 14:19Speaker 5: slipped out a socket briefly. That's why it was so painful.
- 14:23Speaker 5: He actually has a history of labral tear and the
- 14:26Speaker 5: shoulder slipping out of socket by inference. And this may
- 14:31Speaker 5: be a recurring problem this year. And I would not
- 14:36Speaker 5: be surprised if he ultimately has surgery on it. Now,
- 14:40Speaker 5: we hope that surgery is at the end of the
- 14:42Speaker 5: season and he can finish. But obviously, he just got
- 14:45Speaker 5: off his ACL and returned. But there was word and
- 14:49Speaker 5: we have history of him subluxing that shoulder before and
- 14:53Speaker 5: having labral tear before in that shoulder. And that's what
- 14:56Speaker 5: we believe it is. And the Giants are banged up now.
- 14:59Speaker 5: So you got Jackson Dart and all that initial confusion.
- 15:02Speaker 5: And you can talk about that if you want. Brian Burns,
- 15:05Speaker 5: a top defender out. And their left tackle, Andrew Thomas
- 15:08Speaker 5: with a groin and Malik neighbor hampered here. All of
- 15:11Speaker 5: a sudden the Giants ball to the top. The season
- 15:14Speaker 5: started with Carolina most injured on there. But, you know,
- 15:18Speaker 5: now Detroit is making a run at it. And, you know,
- 15:22Speaker 5: Washington is making a run at most injured now. A
- 15:26Speaker 5: lot of injuries going around.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Speaking of injury history, Jaden Daniels, I've done some research
- 15:32Speaker 2: and I clearly am not a doctor, but I've read
- 15:35Speaker 2: that since he has a history of that same thing
- 15:38Speaker 2: with the same elbow, it almost makes his recovery a
- 15:40Speaker 2: little bit easier because the muscles and the arm or
- 15:43Speaker 2: something like that understand what happened. Is this true or
- 15:46Speaker 2: is this a load of baloney? What's his recovery timeline?
- 15:49Speaker 5: Where did you get that info from?
- 15:52Speaker 2: Um, I, I would like to keep my job, so
- 15:54Speaker 2: I'm not going to say, but okay.
- 15:56Speaker 5: Well, well, if you follow along, uh, uh, Twitter X
- 16:00Speaker 5: pro football doc and the podcast, that's exactly what we
- 16:03Speaker 5: said immediately after the game, because this is a re injury. Um,
- 16:08Speaker 5: the bad news is it's an elbow dislocation. Again, the
- 16:13Speaker 5: good news is there's no new damage. last time he
- 16:17Speaker 5: came back in four weeks. This is why he can
- 16:20Speaker 5: come back sooner than that with an elbow brace. Okay.
- 16:23Speaker 5: Because there's no new damage. Kurt Warner is right. He
- 16:28Speaker 5: played one week after dislocating his elbow and a big brace,
- 16:32Speaker 5: but he also handed the ball off only with his
- 16:36Speaker 5: right hand and no offense to Kurt Warner, 2007 Kurt Warner,
- 16:41Speaker 5: Kurt Warner was never that mobile, but 2007 Kurt Warner
- 16:45Speaker 5: with the Cardinals was a lot less mobile than that.
- 16:48Speaker 5: And they play a different game, Jaden Daniels. And the
- 16:52Speaker 5: game is different today. I respect the heck out of Kurt,
- 16:55Speaker 5: Hall of Famer, et cetera. However, here's the punchline and
- 16:59Speaker 5: here's the worry on Jaden Daniels. he can come back
- 17:03Speaker 5: fairly quickly with an elbow brace and avoid short-term IR.
- 17:07Speaker 5: But if he doesn't wear that elbow brace, it has
- 17:10Speaker 5: a high risk of redislocating again. Because of that, and
- 17:15Speaker 5: because of the torn ligament in his elbow, because it's
- 17:18Speaker 5: non-throwing elbow, if it were throwing elbow, he would have
- 17:20Speaker 5: already had surgery. I mean, a Tommy John type surgery.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Because it's non-throwing elbow, you can play through with a brace.
- 17:27Speaker 5: But the fact that it's come out a second time
- 17:29Speaker 5: when he didn't have the brace on, means he's always
- 17:32Speaker 5: going to have the brace. So why the second opinion's
- 17:36Speaker 5: multiple right now? Because his agent slash his mom is
- 17:39Speaker 5: trying to take care of the son, right? Make sure
- 17:42Speaker 5: he's okay. Make sure this is not an RG3 situation.
- 17:46Speaker 5: And it's a re-dislocation second time, which also puts surgery
- 17:51Speaker 5: on the table to fix it because maybe Jaden doesn't
- 17:54Speaker 5: like the brace and doesn't want to wear it. So
- 17:57Speaker 5: even if he wears it all the rest of this season,
- 18:00Speaker 5: This offseason, he may have surgery on it to get
- 18:03Speaker 5: it fixed. That's what he's working through. Of course, if
- 18:06Speaker 5: he doesn't like wearing the brace or he wants to
- 18:09Speaker 5: get it fixed, it's within his right to get it
- 18:11Speaker 5: fixed now. But this is what they're looking at to
- 18:14Speaker 5: make a good decision. Surgery is on the table in
- 18:18Speaker 5: his future. A question of when. But he could try
- 18:21Speaker 5: and return in a brace short of IR.
- 18:24Speaker 2: So the commanders are going to suck. I'll put that
- 18:25Speaker 2: in my notes. My last question for you.
- 18:27Speaker 5: You don't like Marcus Mariota?
- 18:30Speaker 2: Can't say I do.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Not a Mariota pod.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Can't say I'm married to Mariota. However, my final question
- 18:36Speaker 2: for you, Brock Bowers. We have brought him up every
- 18:39Speaker 2: single week since the season started. And granted, it's only
- 18:41Speaker 2: week three. But what are your expectations for Brock Bowers'
- 18:44Speaker 2: potential return this week? Or are we going to be
- 18:47Speaker 2: waiting to see him next week?
- 18:48Speaker 5: I think you're going to see Brock Bowers active this week,
- 18:52Speaker 5: but are you going to see the Brock Bowers that
- 18:55Speaker 5: everyone expects this week? I think this is potentially a
- 18:59Speaker 5: week where he plays, but there's a little bit of
- 19:02Speaker 5: a target share with Michael Mayer. This is the transition week.
- 19:05Speaker 5: That's what it is shaping up to be. Some Brock
- 19:09Speaker 5: Bowers is better than none, but I wouldn't say this
- 19:12Speaker 5: is the Brock Bowers version that we've all grown accustomed
- 19:15Speaker 5: to yet.

- 19:35Speaker 5: Thanks. Thank you.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Just pick something already. If you don't like it, you
- 19:44Speaker 2: can just veto it.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Time to welcome on our special guest picker, the one
- 19:50Speaker 1: and only Emerson Latzia back at it for more pain.
- 19:54Speaker 1: TV Maven, the face of draft Kings. If you ask me, Hey, Emerson,
- 19:59Speaker 1: welcome back. Thanks for forcing us the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.
- 20:04Speaker 3: That was great. That really paid off well in the
- 20:06Speaker 3: contest for us.
- 20:07Speaker 6: Oh yeah. It's okay. It's all right. Our guys, uh,
- 20:12Speaker 6: we've had one bad half of football in two games
- 20:15Speaker 6: this year. Okay. Listen, I don't have a crystal ball.
- 20:19Speaker 6: I can't predict the future. They should have gone in Europe.
- 20:22Speaker 6: Seven points. I mean, Kendrick can back me up on this.
- 20:24Speaker 6: They should have won that game. But instead, they decided
- 20:28Speaker 6: to shit right down their leg. And Trevor threw a
- 20:32Speaker 6: terrible interception, tried to throw a couple more. And then
- 20:35Speaker 6: the Broncos were like, we'll score 17 unanswered points.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Like, no big deal.
- 20:39Speaker 6: You know, hey, sometimes it happens, right? You don't get
- 20:42Speaker 6: them all right. Wait till you see who my bet
- 20:45Speaker 6: is going to be this week.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:48Speaker 3: I'm excited. I will not be bullied again. Okay. That
- 20:51Speaker 3: did not go well for us. Put some respect on
- 20:54Speaker 3: my name. Wait, wait, wait.
- 20:56Speaker 6: Which one of you, I can't remember, which one of
- 20:58Speaker 6: you decided to back the Browns against the Bucs? That
- 21:01Speaker 6: was you. Good call. I'm going to give you credit.
- 21:05Speaker 6: Good call. Although it was another game where the Bucs
- 21:08Speaker 6: Didn't they come out of that two-hour delay? Weren't they
- 21:11Speaker 6: in the red zone?
- 21:13Speaker 3: Yeah, they were in the red.
- 21:14Speaker 6: Zone, and they had a minute. They just need to
- 21:16Speaker 6: score a touchdown.
- 21:18Speaker 1: The Bucs probably should have won the game, but they
- 21:20Speaker 1: were never going to cover. So that's all we needed
- 21:23Speaker 1: was the eight and a half. All right.
- 21:24Speaker 6: I mean, I'm out on that team right now. I
- 21:26Speaker 6: am absolutely out on that team. I'm done with them.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Emerson, your eyebrows look very nice. Did you just get
- 21:32Speaker 2: them threaded?
- 21:33Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 21:33Speaker 6: I didn't get them threaded. I got them waxed yesterday. Yeah.
- 21:38Speaker 6: How on point are my eyebrows right now? It's the
- 21:40Speaker 6: best hair on my body. I tell people that all
- 21:43Speaker 6: the time.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:44Speaker 1: This is a much more, much more handsome week for
- 21:47Speaker 1: you than last week.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Last week. I don't know what was going on.
- 21:50Speaker 6: It was, it was a, it was a little rough.
- 21:52Speaker 6: It's okay. I was a little rough around the edges.
- 21:54Speaker 6: I just shaved at the gym after a nice sauna
- 21:56Speaker 6: session with my bros and yeah, saw some, saw some,
- 22:01Speaker 6: you know, fruit dangling.
- 22:02Speaker 3: All right.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Well, You got to let it hang out in the sauna.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Let's go to Thursday night football. Falcons Packers Packers favored
- 22:11Speaker 1: by four and a half total at 42 and a half.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I told myself I wasn't going to bet the Falcons
- 22:16Speaker 1: earlier in the week. I had to fight myself. It
- 22:19Speaker 1: was plus seven. Now they're four and a half point underdogs.
- 22:22Speaker 1: And this is why you have to put your fears
- 22:24Speaker 1: to the side.
- 22:25Speaker 5: Folks.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Michael Pennix is back. The Cooper rush days are over.
- 22:29Speaker 1: The Packers offensive line is a mangled mess. The Packers
- 22:32Speaker 1: have already used five offensive line combinations through two games,
- 22:36Speaker 1: and it's only going to get worse tonight. This is
- 22:39Speaker 1: a Falcon spot to the max. I didn't get the seven.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I have bet them on the money line here. So
- 22:46Speaker 1: that's where I am. Kendra, I'm not going to have
- 22:49Speaker 1: them in the contest here because there's just so much.
- 22:52Speaker 1: We don't need to force a Thursday night football game.
- 22:54Speaker 1: With a number that's gotten away from us. But come on,
- 22:57Speaker 1: this is a week to back the Falcons if you're ever.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Going to do it.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Does Michael Penix really move the needle for you? I'm
- 23:03Speaker 2: sure that there's like a penis joke to be made,
- 23:04Speaker 2: but like he does not does not do that for me.
- 23:08Speaker 1: What moves the needle for me is Cooper Rush not starting.
- 23:12Speaker 1: That's what moves the.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Needle for me.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I just, I can't, I hate the Packers after
- 23:17Speaker 2: what they did to me last week. I have no
- 23:20Speaker 2: faith in any of the quarterback situation going on in
- 23:23Speaker 2: Atlanta right now. I don't want anything to do with
- 23:25Speaker 2: this game.
- 23:26Speaker 6: What is this game right now? Five and a half?
- 23:30Speaker 6: Five and a half.
- 23:31Speaker 3: We are down to four and a half.
- 23:32Speaker 2: There's a five available, but four and a half.
- 23:35Speaker 6: Dude, does my internet suck or something? I don't really
- 23:38Speaker 6: quite understand. I'm seeing five and a half. I mean,
- 23:40Speaker 6: either way, getting more than a field goal gives us
- 23:42Speaker 6: a little extra cushion. I'm also going Falcons on this.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Are y'all nominating the Falcons right now?
- 23:50Speaker 3: I don't know, man.
- 23:51Speaker 6: What do you think?
- 23:52Speaker 3: We're so early on into the discussion here. I feel
- 23:56Speaker 3: it's premature.
- 23:56Speaker 2: What is the contest line? Is it the four and
- 23:59Speaker 2: a half or the five and a half? Because if
- 24:00Speaker 2: it's the five and a half, I would be more likely.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Can you text or slack us the contest.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Lines, please, so that I can be the most accurate
- 24:10Speaker 3: on this?
- 24:11Speaker 1: Because maybe we are getting a little extra juice for
- 24:14Speaker 1: the squeeze because they lock in those contest numbers ahead
- 24:17Speaker 1: of time. And for those five and a half, I'll
- 24:20Speaker 1: take it. Emerson brought this up last week, and it's
- 24:24Speaker 1: a really good point. We should do a better job
- 24:27Speaker 1: explaining what it is we're doing here. We've got five
- 24:31Speaker 1: picks to put into the contest against the spread. Kendra
- 24:35Speaker 1: and I ideally would come to a consensus for the
- 24:38Speaker 1: five plays, but that is never going to happen in
- 24:41Speaker 1: the history of mankind. So we'll hopefully land on a
- 24:45Speaker 1: couple that we agree on, but we each have two
- 24:47Speaker 1: nominations and we also have a veto if we hate
- 24:51Speaker 1: one of the other person's nominees and Emerson will get
- 24:54Speaker 1: to lock in. one of the picks as well. So
- 24:56Speaker 1: ideally two of the picks come from me. Two of
- 24:59Speaker 1: the picks come from Kendra and one comes from our
- 25:02Speaker 1: special guest with veto powers available for all.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Got it.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Good.
- 25:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I can, I can understand it.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Contest is six and a half coming from production boys.
- 25:12Speaker 2: You might be winning this with the dirty bird.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Oh, wow. That is fast. We, uh, let's lock it in.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons plus six and a half. I will write
- 25:25Speaker 1: that on my sheet.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Kravitz, I hope that you know, if this goes poorly,
- 25:31Speaker 2: they are in federal prison. Emerson, you missed this. I
- 25:34Speaker 2: am not allowed to nominate or bet for or against
- 25:37Speaker 2: the Patriots for the rest of the season. They are
- 25:40Speaker 2: in federal prison for me until the postseason. I am
- 25:43Speaker 2: making it by right now declaring that if the Falcons
- 25:47Speaker 2: fuck this up for us, they go and bet federal
- 25:50Speaker 2: prison for Kravitz.
- 25:52Speaker 3: I just want to be.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Real about something. If they go 0-3 against the spread, though,
- 25:55Speaker 4: you're going to bet them again because it's going to
- 25:57Speaker 4: be great. Their line's going to be huge. That's not
- 26:01Speaker 4: really how it works, but we all love you.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I put them in prison with a temporary sentence
- 26:08Speaker 1: on Monday's show, and now they're the first team in
- 26:11Speaker 1: the contest.
- 26:12Speaker 3: This is like Shawshank Redemption.
- 26:14Speaker 2: We're out.
- 26:16Speaker 5: Yep.
- 26:16Speaker 6: Climbing through a tunnel of shit, and now we're just
- 26:19Speaker 6: chilling on the beach. And we're making money.
- 26:22Speaker 1: All right, let's go to Sunday. We got the Seahawks
- 26:24Speaker 1: and the commanders, the Seahawks favored by seven. And this line,
- 26:28Speaker 1: I think is going to be on the move because
- 26:31Speaker 1: we've got some word that Sam Darnold is on track
- 26:33Speaker 1: to come back for this game. The commanders are going
- 26:35Speaker 1: to be without Jaden Daniels for the foreseeable future. The
- 26:38Speaker 1: Seahawks defense is awesome. Not a lot of reasons to
- 26:41Speaker 1: back the commanders here, unless you just like taking those
- 26:44Speaker 1: big home underdogs. But Kendra, it's, it's probably a pass
- 26:49Speaker 1: for me, but it's Seahawks or nothing.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, pass for me. I kind of lean towards the
- 26:53Speaker 2: under just because, one, I don't have a ton of
- 26:55Speaker 2: faith in Marcus Mariota, but if Darnold's coming back, I
- 26:58Speaker 2: don't think that they're going to overexert him by any means.
- 27:01Speaker 2: I think that they're going to try and play it
- 27:02Speaker 2: safe against a team that they should easily get a
- 27:05Speaker 2: road win against, not do anything crazy, lean the under here,
- 27:07Speaker 2: but no play from me.
- 27:09Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm probably not going to touch this one either.
- 27:11Speaker 6: Do we have any trends with West Coast teams going east?
- 27:16Speaker 6: Is there, is there anything there? I know we have a,
- 27:17Speaker 6: we have a trend. That's always something we used to
- 27:20Speaker 6: talk about a lot, like on our shows on draft
- 27:21Speaker 6: Kings and stuff.
- 27:24Speaker 4: It is a very good trend overall recently, but honestly,
- 27:28Speaker 4: it's just the best for Seattle.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Seahawks are seven, one and one when crossing three time
- 27:34Speaker 4: zones over the last three seasons covering by over 11
- 27:37Speaker 4: points per game. Uh, The one I will give you
- 27:41Speaker 4: is like the reason to potentially like Washington here. And
- 27:44Speaker 4: this is a crazy one. First nine games, the regular
- 27:47Speaker 4: season home dogs of seven plus 23, four and two
- 27:51Speaker 4: against the spread since 2022 covering by over six points
- 27:54Speaker 4: per game to completely opposite trends. That's how trends work.
- 27:57Speaker 4: But to me, that just tells you like an inflated number.
- 28:00Speaker 4: So possibly a reason to get into the Mariotta business,
- 28:03Speaker 4: but yeah, Seattle's been stones on the road.
- 28:06Speaker 6: Yeah, so they're 2-0 ATS on the season, right? And
- 28:09Speaker 6: that's with Drew Locke as their primary quarterback. So let's
- 28:11Speaker 6: just say Sam Darnold does come back. Yeah, I would
- 28:14Speaker 6: have to lean Seattle. I'm not scared of Marcus Mariota.
- 28:18Speaker 1: I kind of like getting a better number with Drew
- 28:20Speaker 1: Locke as the quarterback if I'm betting into this. Yeah,
- 28:23Speaker 1: for sure. So far, we haven't really seen much of
- 28:26Speaker 1: a deviation between the two. Evan, before we completely cut
- 28:29Speaker 1: you loose on this game, Marcus Mariota, from what I recall,
- 28:32Speaker 1: not so good against the spread as a quarterback.
- 28:34Speaker 3: I think that's something else to consider here.
- 28:38Speaker 1: There are a.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Few trends, but it's mostly just first half. I don't
- 28:41Speaker 4: believe he's a good first half quarterback. The one thing
- 28:44Speaker 4: I found really interesting with Mariota is face four defenses
- 28:48Speaker 4: with a really high sack percentage, 4% or higher. He
- 28:51Speaker 4: scored 26, 22, 27, and 41, all with the commanders.
- 28:56Speaker 4: So it feels like sometimes he shows up in these
- 28:58Speaker 4: games and isn't as bad as we remember. But I'd
- 29:00Speaker 4: have to look into some of the EPA stuff.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Not going to be a contest play for us. But
- 29:07Speaker 1: if you wanted a prop, I think we're really missing
- 29:09Speaker 1: the boat on just betting on Jackson Smith and Jigba
- 29:12Speaker 1: every week. 122 yards, 155 yards. Those are his outputs
- 29:17Speaker 1: in the first two weeks. He's plus 115 to hit
- 29:20Speaker 1: at least 100 yards.
- 29:22Speaker 3: I mean, what are we doing?
- 29:23Speaker 2: Anytime, because if he's still plus money for it, anytime
- 29:26Speaker 2: they're sleeping.
- 29:27Speaker 6: Dude, I mean, he's had 11 targets, too, like in
- 29:31Speaker 6: each game, like four touchdowns. And Washington's defense has definitely
- 29:34Speaker 6: been vulnerable. That would easily be one of my favorite
- 29:38Speaker 6: anytime touchdown spots.
- 29:39Speaker 5: Even mine.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Plus 100 on JSN.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Do it. Do it.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Pod bet.
- 29:44Speaker 1: All right.
- 29:45Speaker 3: We are in. Chargers-Bills.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Bills favored by seven and a half. This is one
- 29:52Speaker 1: of the eight 2-0 teams in the NFL. Josh Allen
- 29:55Speaker 1: is the odds-on favorite to win MVP. Everything is sunshine
- 29:58Speaker 1: and rainbows. at the new high Mark stadium, which looks
- 30:01Speaker 1: gorgeous for the chargers. Not so much. They've lost by
- 30:05Speaker 1: the score of 26 to 14 in back-to-back weeks, which
- 30:09Speaker 1: is very strange. Madison beer is a character in fortnight now.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And Jim Harbaugh looks like he's about to have a stroke.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I guess that means we're going to back the chargers
- 30:18Speaker 1: this week.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Aren't we Kendra?
- 30:21Speaker 2: I really want to nominate them, but the Bills just
- 30:24Speaker 2: look like world beaters. That's the thing. If this were
- 30:27Speaker 2: probably any other team, I would be on the Chargers
- 30:30Speaker 2: for a bounce back this week, but it just feels
- 30:33Speaker 2: like there's trouble in paradise. I don't know if it's
- 30:36Speaker 2: like the McDaniels is just the diva of the week still,
- 30:41Speaker 2: and he's beefing with Harbaugh. I don't understand what's going
- 30:43Speaker 2: on here. I texted you guys separately once we got
- 30:46Speaker 2: off of the show on Monday after I rewatched the
- 30:49Speaker 2: Chargers game last week that I was absolutely potentially right
- 30:52Speaker 2: in leaving Justin Herbert off of my top 10 quarterbacks
- 30:55Speaker 2: in the league because, man, does he look like shit.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Dude, he looks terrible.
- 30:59Speaker 6: I hate that team right now. Now, some of it
- 31:02Speaker 6: has to do with I have a lot of those
- 31:03Speaker 6: guys on my fantasy teams, but Jesus Christ, get it together.
- 31:07Speaker 6: I mean, at what point are we going to talk
- 31:09Speaker 6: about Or are we going to mention Justin Herbert's a problem?
- 31:13Speaker 6: But hasn't he had like five different offensive coordinators in
- 31:16Speaker 6: five seasons or something insane like that? That is definitely
- 31:20Speaker 6: not easy. And this is probably the most complicated offense
- 31:24Speaker 6: that he's had to work through. But my God, I'm
- 31:26Speaker 6: going to trust Buffalo to clear the touchdown at home
- 31:30Speaker 6: because I have zero faith in the Chargers. They can
- 31:33Speaker 6: eat my white ass because I am done with that team.
- 31:37Speaker 6: They don't know how to play football anymore. But again,
- 31:41Speaker 6: at least they have Madison Beer up there to look at.
- 31:43Speaker 6: Not too shabby.
- 31:44Speaker 2: I have a question. Do we think that Justin Herbert
- 31:48Speaker 2: is stupid?
- 31:50Speaker 6: Like, he has special needs and Madison Beer is one
- 31:54Speaker 6: of them, but I don't know a whole lot more
- 31:58Speaker 6: than that. Why do you ask that?
- 32:01Speaker 2: I don't think it's like a not doing your homework situation.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I don't think it's like a lack of effort. I
- 32:07Speaker 2: just don't think that he.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Reads a defense. Well, I don't, I don't think that
- 32:13Speaker 2: he processes well, or at least he's not processing well
- 32:16Speaker 2: right now. Like for the beginning of his career, I
- 32:19Speaker 2: think that he was capable and able of just relying
- 32:22Speaker 2: on his athletic abilities. But we see at this point
- 32:26Speaker 2: in quarterbacks careers who are elite, the game slow down
- 32:29Speaker 2: for them. And I just don't think that that's happening
- 32:32Speaker 2: for him. I think that he's doing the work, but
- 32:34Speaker 2: he's not understanding the work.
- 32:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:37Speaker 2: The answer is, but he don't know how he got
- 32:39Speaker 2: the answer.
- 32:41Speaker 6: Yeah. The only, I agree with you. The only thing
- 32:44Speaker 6: I'll touch on again, it's Mike McDaniel's offense is known
- 32:48Speaker 6: to be like one of the most difficult, I guess,
- 32:51Speaker 6: to absorb.
- 32:51Speaker 2: I mean, I think he might be dumb.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I mean, like this could be.
- 32:55Speaker 6: One of those teams I could easily see like halfway
- 32:57Speaker 6: through the season, all of a sudden it just starts clicking,
- 32:59Speaker 6: you know, and he's just starts throwing bomb after bomb.
- 33:02Speaker 6: We saw it a little bit like with Trevor Lawrence
- 33:04Speaker 6: last year. A little bit of a slow start. Started
- 33:07Speaker 6: getting used to that offense. Liam Cohen said, dude, just
- 33:09Speaker 6: cut loose. Think less. Throw the damn football. And they
- 33:12Speaker 6: had an incredible finish to the year. But I don't
- 33:15Speaker 6: know what's going on.
- 33:16Speaker 3: How about this stat? How about this stat? Go ahead, Evan.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Come on.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Yeah. Like everything, the credibility behind Herbert, like what we
- 33:24Speaker 4: think Herbert is, doesn't equal what Herbert shows. Four GPA
- 33:29Speaker 4: at Oregon, 39 of 50 Wunderlich. He was the perfect quarterback,
- 33:35Speaker 4: the genius, and everything's fallen apart since.
- 33:38Speaker 2: The Wunderlich I buy into, but the GPA I don't
- 33:41Speaker 2: because at Auburn, all you had to do was write
- 33:44Speaker 2: your sport on the back of your test, and they
- 33:46Speaker 2: would give you an A. So I throw the GPA
- 33:48Speaker 2: out the window. The Wunderlich, fine, I'll give it to you.
- 33:51Speaker 6: I also do not buy into GPA because, for example,
- 33:56Speaker 6: when I was in high school, I played a golf match.
- 33:59Speaker 6: against my marine biology teacher before my senior year. And
- 34:02Speaker 6: he said, if you beat me, I'm going to give
- 34:04Speaker 6: you an A for the year. And so I beat him.
- 34:07Speaker 6: And so I got an A for the year in
- 34:09Speaker 6: marine biology. I don't know. He's not at the school anymore,
- 34:12Speaker 6: but I'm not going to mention his name, but shout
- 34:14Speaker 6: out to a Bishop Kenny high school down in Jacksonville,
- 34:18Speaker 6: because I love the teachers there. I remember sitting next
- 34:21Speaker 6: to one of the smartest girls in our class. And
- 34:23Speaker 6: she would always look at me and she would always
- 34:26Speaker 6: be like, I don't get how you continue to get
- 34:28Speaker 6: an a in this class like you don't do anything
- 34:30Speaker 6: and i said honey it's all up here okay all
- 34:33Speaker 6: up here.
- 34:36Speaker 1: More like it's all up here well i'm sure you
- 34:40Speaker 1: have a lot to say on the dolphins then since
- 34:42Speaker 1: you're a marine biology expert um the uh they suck
- 34:47Speaker 1: i i think we should put the chargers in the
- 34:48Speaker 1: contest i have other games that i feel more strongly
- 34:53Speaker 1: about that i don't want to waste a potential veto
- 34:56Speaker 1: here so i'm not sure i really thought that this
- 34:58Speaker 1: was going to be a buddy bet in this because
- 35:00Speaker 1: this was one that we were leaning towards i did
- 35:02Speaker 1: already bet the chargers plus seven and a half in
- 35:06Speaker 1: the action app but i'll leave it alone for now
- 35:08Speaker 1: bangles steelers steelers three and a half point dogs four
- 35:11Speaker 1: and forty two and a half on the total, a
- 35:13Speaker 1: classic NFC North battle bangles. They look like world beaters
- 35:17Speaker 1: to Steelers look old, tired and slow. Yet this line
- 35:21Speaker 1: is parked at three and a half. I feel like
- 35:23Speaker 1: we're supposed to take the Steelers here in theory, but
- 35:26Speaker 1: I just can't get in front of the bangles right now.
- 35:28Speaker 1: They're number one, total EPA on defense in the league
- 35:31Speaker 1: right now through two weeks. And at any point, this
- 35:34Speaker 1: offense could put up 50. So I I'm not doing
- 35:37Speaker 1: anything with this game.
- 35:38Speaker 6: Kendra.
- 35:40Speaker 2: This is a nomination from me. I bet the Bengals
- 35:42Speaker 2: on Monday. The Steelers are ass. Aaron Rodgers is old.
- 35:48Speaker 2: This offense sucks. Their defense is okay, but the Bengals
- 35:51Speaker 2: are 10 times better than that defense even now. I
- 35:55Speaker 2: get that it's a divisional matchup and it's on the
- 35:56Speaker 2: road for the Bengals, but I think that they beat
- 35:58Speaker 2: them at least by a touchdown. I have had this
- 36:01Speaker 2: in the bank since Monday. This is one of my noms.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Hmm.
- 36:05Speaker 6: Oh, man. Okay, so let's see. It's three and a half.
- 36:10Speaker 6: Hook is not ideal. Cincinnati, though, has been significantly better.
- 36:14Speaker 6: The only thing I'll say, and I read this, I
- 36:16Speaker 6: had a little VO. You may see it in a
- 36:18Speaker 6: commercial this week, guys. But we have Bengals have failed
- 36:23Speaker 6: to cover the spread in four of their last six
- 36:25Speaker 6: trips to the Steel City. That includes three straight outright losses.
- 36:30Speaker 6: And right now, I think you have Cincinnati aiming for
- 36:32Speaker 6: their first 3-0 starts in 2015. I may end up
- 36:39Speaker 6: betting the Steelers in this, okay? Just because of a
- 36:43Speaker 6: little recent trend in Cincinnati.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Is this your veto?
- 36:46Speaker 6: A little trickle of urine down its leg for some
- 36:50Speaker 6: reason inside the city where they put French fries on everything. Yes,
- 36:54Speaker 6: this is my veto.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Wow yeah i wasn't gonna do it i was gonna
- 36:58Speaker 1: let this i was gonna let this one sneak through.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I i don't mind betting the bangles here the tower.
- 37:03Speaker 1: The trends do you know you gotta save this stuff
- 37:06Speaker 1: trends point to the steelers the steelers are 12 2
- 37:09Speaker 1: and 2 against the spread as a home underdog in
- 37:12Speaker 1: division dating back to 2000 but how much of that
- 37:14Speaker 1: i i know okay i'm just telling the story here
- 37:18Speaker 1: but how much of that was mike tomlin You can't
- 37:21Speaker 1: do the rah-rah Mike Tomlin spot when Mike Tomlin's on
- 37:24Speaker 1: Sunday Night Football.
- 37:26Speaker 3: It doesn't work. I do hate.
- 37:28Speaker 6: Myself for this because I put that Pittsburgh Patriots game
- 37:32Speaker 6: on for 10 minutes last week. I couldn't watch it.
- 37:35Speaker 3: It was terrible football.
- 37:36Speaker 6: Dude, Aaron Rodgers is.
- 37:39Speaker 2: awful he cannot abuse move.
- 37:42Speaker 6: This yeah it really is dude that i mean that
- 37:45Speaker 6: that guy should be like in a wheelchair sipping warm
- 37:49Speaker 6: glasses of breast milk at four o'clock in the afternoon
- 37:53Speaker 6: like every day but i'm gonna miss the ai wife.
- 37:57Speaker 1: And the bangles defensive line is ripping The Bengals D
- 38:02Speaker 1: line is ripping through these opposing offensive lines. I like
- 38:05Speaker 1: the Bengals here too, but it's been vetoed.
- 38:07Speaker 3: So we'll move on.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Chiefs dolphins. Let's check in with our Marine biologists on
- 38:11Speaker 1: this one. The dolphins catching 10 and a half. I'm
- 38:14Speaker 1: going to assume that in the contest, you get an
- 38:16Speaker 1: extra point on the dolphins based on the way that
- 38:18Speaker 1: this is going. I'm thinking it's probably 11 and a
- 38:20Speaker 1: half in the contest. I'm not sure it's going to
- 38:22Speaker 1: matter for us here. The dolphins are second only to
- 38:26Speaker 1: the Atlanta Falcons in terms of the worst point differential
- 38:28Speaker 1: in the NFL right now. And the chiefs look like
- 38:31Speaker 1: they are all the way back. It is sitting at
- 38:33Speaker 1: 10 and a half in the contest.
- 38:35Speaker 3: No, thank you. That would be my read on this.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I can see the Dolphins going 0-17 against the spread
- 38:41Speaker 1: this year. I don't think that that's crazy, which I
- 38:44Speaker 1: guess in that respect, it would be the Chiefs. But
- 38:46Speaker 1: laying over a touchdown, over 10 points with Mahomes on
- 38:51Speaker 1: the road historically has not been a profitable endeavor, I believe.
- 38:55Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 38:57Speaker 3: I mean, a lot of hemming and hawing going on
- 38:58Speaker 3: over here.
- 38:59Speaker 6: I'm thinking about flogging the Dolphin here. But Kansas City,
- 39:04Speaker 6: 31 points, 33 points in his first two games. I
- 39:06Speaker 6: don't know, man. Miami hasn't shown jack shit, including last week.
- 39:12Speaker 6: Who was it? One of you guys thought the Dolphins
- 39:13Speaker 6: would give San Francisco a problem.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Not.
- 39:18Speaker 6: Yeah, Middleton. I see you there.
- 39:21Speaker 2: That was our peg of the week. That was the
- 39:23Speaker 2: backdoor cover. All right, all right, all right.
- 39:25Speaker 6: Which, which, trust me, I've thought about the peg of
- 39:27Speaker 6: the week every day since we came up with the
- 39:30Speaker 6: peg of the week. And I'm like, I don't know.
- 39:33Speaker 6: Some of these teams go down there to South Florida
- 39:35Speaker 6: just like, why is someone ringing my doorbell right now? Oh,
- 39:38Speaker 6: my God. I did not ask for that. Do not
- 39:41Speaker 6: ring my doorbell again. Man, I hate an unsolicited doorbell ring.
- 39:47Speaker 6: just induces rage.
- 39:49Speaker 3: That is, it is fear inducing that somebody, I hate it,
- 39:52Speaker 3: but like, but, but.
- 39:53Speaker 6: Like real talk, you've seen like recent history, Patriots going
- 39:57Speaker 6: down to Florida, playing the Jags early.
- 39:59Speaker 2: It's not going to be that hot this weekend though.
- 40:01Speaker 6: I know, which is why I can't absolutely wait. And
- 40:04Speaker 6: I'm debating wearing a long sleeve shirt on Sunday.
- 40:07Speaker 2: I'm debating jeans.
- 40:09Speaker 6: Oh that's disgusting ass sweat and jeans are so uncomfortable.
- 40:13Speaker 2: But i have the del campo denim shorts.
- 40:17Speaker 6: Oh nice nice and breathable i like that but i
- 40:20Speaker 6: don't know i'm starting to think maybe kansas city goes
- 40:22Speaker 6: down there and uh they can't handle the heat the
- 40:25Speaker 6: humidity the sun ah and then the dolphins are like
- 40:29Speaker 6: okay maybe just the back door cover peg of the
- 40:31Speaker 6: week this is my peg of the week I would.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Agree just because I think that if they get ahead,
- 40:37Speaker 2: they're going to sit people and just let it rock.
- 40:41Speaker 2: And I think that the dolphins, that's the only, that's
- 40:43Speaker 2: the only thing that I can think of. No play,
- 40:46Speaker 2: but definitely peg of the week again.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Yep. Peg of the week.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I like just sort of like throwing that out there
- 40:53Speaker 1: and not being tied to this financially.
- 40:55Speaker 3: So we're good with that.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Jets, Lions, Lions sitting at six and a half point favorites,
- 41:00Speaker 1: total of 47 and a half. The Jets are off
- 41:02Speaker 1: of an overtime loss to the Packers where Aaron Glenn
- 41:05Speaker 1: really fumbled the bag with clock management. And then the
- 41:07Speaker 1: decision to take the ball in overtime. You don't do
- 41:11Speaker 1: that in 2026. fascinating game. The lions have extra time
- 41:15Speaker 1: to prepare where Dan Campbell has been pretty good in
- 41:17Speaker 1: those situations. I'll give you the trend on that in
- 41:19Speaker 1: a moment. And he's going up against the guy that
- 41:22Speaker 1: he coached with for multiple years and Aaron Glenn. So
- 41:25Speaker 1: I like the lions this week. I wouldn't be surprised
- 41:27Speaker 1: if this closes at seven or even seven and a
- 41:30Speaker 1: half official nomination from me. I'm laying the points with
- 41:35Speaker 1: the lions at home.
- 41:38Speaker 6: I like it. I mean, get Detroit. What is six
- 41:41Speaker 6: and a half right now? I mean, getting Detroit below seven,
- 41:43Speaker 6: that that's important. And Hey, what's going on? I saw
- 41:46Speaker 6: it this morning. The jets have been making like quarterback moves.
- 41:49Speaker 6: I think they got rid of like Zappy. I think
- 41:51Speaker 6: they brought in what's his nuts. Former Titans quarterback. He's
- 41:54Speaker 6: super shredded and likes mayonnaise.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:58Speaker 6: Is, is something up with Gino? Like, is he, is
- 42:02Speaker 6: he banged up? I don't know. I think that's something
- 42:04Speaker 6: to keep an eye on here, but yeah.
- 42:07Speaker 5: What?
- 42:07Speaker 2: Apprehension here is the Jets are just frisky. I know
- 42:11Speaker 2: that Evan has stats about teams who just played in
- 42:14Speaker 2: overtime the week prior, if I'm not mistaken, and how
- 42:17Speaker 2: they usually don't perform very well. That's the only thing
- 42:20Speaker 2: that I think is of magnitude here for me. I
- 42:24Speaker 2: can't think of another situation where I'm going to use
- 42:26Speaker 2: my veto unless Kravitz really throws me a curveball. I
- 42:30Speaker 2: just think the Lions kind of suck, but the Jets
- 42:32Speaker 2: are frisky. That's where I'm at here.
- 42:36Speaker 3: I do agree.
- 42:37Speaker 1: The Jets are frisky. They're 2-0 against the spread. I
- 42:40Speaker 1: will be backing the Jets many more times throughout the year.
- 42:43Speaker 1: This is more of a lean to the Lions than
- 42:45Speaker 1: it is a fade of the Jets. Dan Campbell has
- 42:49Speaker 1: coached six games against a head coach that either employed
- 42:55Speaker 1: or worked for Dan Campbell, so a former co-worker of his,
- 42:59Speaker 1: 5-1 straight up, 4-2 against the spread, winning five in.
- 43:02Speaker 3: A row outright.
- 43:03Speaker 1: The Lions are also 12-3 against the spread with extra
- 43:06Speaker 1: rest over the last five seasons. This is a spot
- 43:10Speaker 1: play more than anything else. The Lions are so much
- 43:12Speaker 1: better when they're inside.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Of their home building.
- 43:15Speaker 2: They're just so injured.
- 43:17Speaker 1: The line, I don't love the offensive line, but I
- 43:19Speaker 1: think that's why we're getting the discount on the season.
- 43:21Speaker 6: Yeah, below seven. Take them down.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Joseph and Brian Branch are both out.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Yeah, Gino could end up ripping up the secondary. All right.
- 43:30Speaker 2: All right.
- 43:31Speaker 3: So you use the veto. All right.
- 43:32Speaker 1: We have one in the contest. Right now, we're rocking
- 43:35Speaker 1: with the Falcons. Plus six and a half.
- 43:37Speaker 3: We started off hot. Panthers Browns. You just never know
- 43:43Speaker 3: what direction this is going to go in. Too much fun.
- 43:45Speaker 2: I got to be honest. I don't think I'm going
- 43:47Speaker 2: to use my veto here. I think I have to
- 43:48Speaker 2: let it slip in.
- 43:51Speaker 6: Oh, you want to slip it in?
- 43:53Speaker 2: Oh, okay. I don't see any other games that I
- 43:57Speaker 2: hate more or love more or less other than the
- 43:59Speaker 2: one that I'm going to nominate. So I think that
- 44:02Speaker 2: that's where I'm at is I just am not in
- 44:04Speaker 2: love with the card. So I got to let it slide. Okay.
- 44:07Speaker 1: All right. Falcons minus six and a half or I'm sorry.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Lions minus six and a half. Can't get Atlanta out
- 44:12Speaker 1: of my mind. Lions minus six and a half has
- 44:14Speaker 1: made it into the contest. Let's preview the most disgusting
- 44:17Speaker 1: game of the weekend. The Panthers and the Browns, the
- 44:19Speaker 1: Browns plus two and a half. Very odd one to
- 44:23Speaker 1: handicap here. I would love to take the Browns, but
- 44:26Speaker 1: back in Cleveland off of a win feels like a
- 44:29Speaker 1: world I don't want to live in. Also, Bryce Young,
- 44:33Speaker 1: second week in a row listed as a road favorite.
- 44:35Speaker 1: That's only the third time in his career that he's
- 44:39Speaker 1: been a road favorite.
- 44:40Speaker 3: This is not common.
- 44:42Speaker 1: So another thing that should give you pause if you're like, well,
- 44:45Speaker 1: obviously the Panthers are better than the Browns. 80% of
- 44:48Speaker 1: the bets, 82% of the money on Carolina, all the
- 44:52Speaker 1: bets coming in on Carolina. And boy, if you have
- 44:55Speaker 1: paid attention to these splits, you have seen how that
- 44:58Speaker 1: has gone early on this season. Dangerous place to live.
- 45:01Speaker 1: I think it's Browns or pass. I can be talked
- 45:03Speaker 1: into the Browns. I would not veto it, but I'm
- 45:05Speaker 1: not going.
- 45:06Speaker 3: To nominate it.
- 45:06Speaker 6: Kendra.
- 45:07Speaker 2: See, I'm on the side of the sad cats here.
- 45:10Speaker 2: The only thing that I have question over is Devin
- 45:13Speaker 2: Lloyd is such a ball hawk for interceptions. And him
- 45:16Speaker 2: being questionable for this game gives me a little bit
- 45:20Speaker 2: of apprehension just because I think that he could very
- 45:22Speaker 2: easily make slight work out of Deshaun Watson. But I'm
- 45:27Speaker 2: also in the same predicament that I was last week where, okay,
- 45:29Speaker 2: did Deshaun perform because of this lightning delay at the
- 45:34Speaker 2: last minute? Or is it because that he knows that
- 45:36Speaker 2: his job is on the line and that's the only
- 45:38Speaker 2: version of Deshaun Watson that I'm scared of is that
- 45:40Speaker 2: I have nothing to lose Deshaun Watson.
- 45:42Speaker 6: Yeah. Any Browns fans in my life were so pissed
- 45:46Speaker 6: that they won that game because they know it just
- 45:48Speaker 6: meant another week of Deshaun Watson under center. What number
- 45:52Speaker 6: are we playing this in the contest? Two and a half?
- 45:54Speaker 6: I'm seeing three right now. Okay, two and a half.
- 45:57Speaker 6: I mean, if it spreads under or below three, I'm
- 46:02Speaker 6: going to back Bryce Young and the Panthers who saw
- 46:04Speaker 6: their offensive ceiling last week rather than asking Cleveland to
- 46:08Speaker 6: keep up here.
- 46:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that I also, it's Panthers or nothing
- 46:12Speaker 2: for me.
- 46:13Speaker 3: All right, but that is not an official nomination.
- 46:17Speaker 2: No, I have two that I like still. One of
- 46:21Speaker 2: them I want in, so I will allow this to
- 46:26Speaker 2: move forward.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Okay, we won't push past.
- 46:29Speaker 2: You already have your two, and I know what Emerson's
- 46:31Speaker 2: throwing out there, and you used the veto, so.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Oh, that's right.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I've wasted all of my opportunities. I have other games
- 46:37Speaker 1: that I like. I'll just have to try and I'll
- 46:39Speaker 1: have to try and soft sell them. But the Browns
- 46:41Speaker 1: are one in six ATS off of a win over
- 46:44Speaker 1: the last three seasons. A reason to not bet on
- 46:46Speaker 1: the Cleveland Browns Patriots Jags. You're both going to be
- 46:49Speaker 1: at this game, right?
- 46:51Speaker 6: Yeah. Wow.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Meet my family.
- 46:55Speaker 5: Oh, hello.
- 46:58Speaker 6: Hi, mom.
- 47:01Speaker 3: Let's talk about pegging the AFC.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Champs and do not know what that means.
- 47:06Speaker 6: I'll teach her.
- 47:09Speaker 1: This is arguably the biggest home game of the year
- 47:12Speaker 1: for the Jaguars. If you look at their schedule, there's
- 47:14Speaker 1: a primetime game against Pittsburgh later in the season, but
- 47:18Speaker 1: Pittsburgh's kind of lame, so this.
- 47:20Speaker 6: Could be it.
- 47:20Speaker 2: I guess it depends on what you consider home games
- 47:23Speaker 2: because they have the Eagles and the Texans back-to-back in
- 47:26Speaker 2: London as home games.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Well, that does not count because it's not in Jacksonville.
- 47:29Speaker 6: I think we've only got five games or four games
- 47:32Speaker 6: left in Jacksonville for the rest of the season.
- 47:34Speaker 1: And then they're coming to my city, and then they're
- 47:37Speaker 1: coming to Orlando.
- 47:39Speaker 3: That's right.
- 47:40Speaker 1: They're not at home again until November 1st. So this
- 47:42Speaker 1: is like the last hurrah. This is sending them off
- 47:46Speaker 1: before they go off to war. Do we back the
- 47:49Speaker 1: Jags here after they wet the bed for us in
- 47:51Speaker 1: the contest last week?
- 47:53Speaker 3: I'm back in. I sold my shares for one week.
- 47:56Speaker 3: I was right.
- 47:57Speaker 1: You two bullied me into the Jags, but I like
- 48:00Speaker 1: Jacksonville minus the three here.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Go ahead. I can't nominate it, but I'm sure one
- 48:04Speaker 3: of you two bozos will.
- 48:05Speaker 6: Yeah, come on, everybody. Let's go.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Circle jerk.
- 48:09Speaker 6: We are jagging off. I don't think New England's win
- 48:14Speaker 6: over Pittsburgh last week really deserves any respect. Jags back home,
- 48:19Speaker 6: bounce back spot. Liam Cohen is feeling it, okay? The
- 48:25Speaker 6: blood pumping through his loins. pumping through his plums and
- 48:30Speaker 6: his hog. He's going out there. There is blood in
- 48:34Speaker 6: the water, and there is nothing our fan base loves
- 48:38Speaker 6: more outside of maybe beating Tennessee or the Colts who
- 48:41Speaker 6: can't win in Jacksonville than beating a team that was
- 48:45Speaker 6: just in the Super Bowl and a team that has
- 48:48Speaker 6: owned us throughout our history, okay? And they can't handle
- 48:53Speaker 6: the heat, even though it may not be as warm.
- 48:55Speaker 6: That's why Kendra may wear jeans. This is my bet.
- 48:58Speaker 6: This is my bet. Jags minus three, Trevor Lawrence over
- 49:02Speaker 6: one and a half touchdowns, wherever you want to find
- 49:03Speaker 6: those odds, find the best odds possible. She's on DraftKings Sportsbook.
- 49:08Speaker 2: I have been on every single show possible this week.
- 49:11Speaker 2: I think as a Patriots rep and a Jags rep,
- 49:13Speaker 2: I've really been across the board here. And the more
- 49:16Speaker 2: and more I look into this game, I know that
- 49:18Speaker 2: I have nothing to say here because the Patriots are
- 49:20Speaker 2: in federal prison for me I do have a Jacoby
- 49:24Speaker 2: Myers anytime touchdown because I um I think that it's
- 49:28Speaker 2: a Jacoby game because you have to make the decision
- 49:31Speaker 2: of Christian Gonzalez shadowing BTJ, which I don't think is
- 49:34Speaker 2: the best option for them because yes, he's the fastest
- 49:37Speaker 2: person on the field, but he can't catch the ball.
- 49:39Speaker 2: So you have to move Christian Gonzalez to the guy
- 49:41Speaker 2: getting the most amount of workload, which is going to
- 49:42Speaker 2: be Parker Washington. You still have to respect BTJ, but
- 49:46Speaker 2: Jacoby Myers, if anything is going to have a revenge
- 49:48Speaker 2: game against this team because they have not considered him
- 49:50Speaker 2: for the entirety of his career. And I don't see
- 49:52Speaker 2: why that's going to change now. Um, Um, but the
- 49:55Speaker 2: thing for me is that I really don't think with
- 49:57Speaker 2: all of the injuries that this Patriots defense is going
- 50:00Speaker 2: to be able to stop the Jaguars offense enough for
- 50:03Speaker 2: the Patriots offense with their injuries to be able to
- 50:06Speaker 2: keep up. That's the thing for me here.
- 50:08Speaker 6: Dude, the only reason the Patriots like a defensive front
- 50:12Speaker 6: looked good last week is because they were playing the
- 50:14Speaker 6: fricking Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 50:16Speaker 5: Yep.
- 50:16Speaker 6: That's the only, that's the only reason. It was gross.
- 50:19Speaker 6: New England still only scored one offensive touchdown early in
- 50:22Speaker 6: the game. After that, Drake May is broken.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Yeah, he does not look right.
- 50:27Speaker 1: If you look at his quarterback rating, if you think
- 50:29Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield has been bad, Drake May is like seven
- 50:32Speaker 1: slots lower than him in terms of efficiency.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Look ahead spot. Patriots have the bills on deck.
- 50:38Speaker 3: That's huge. That's big.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Morgan Moses popped up on the injury report. Is he
- 50:42Speaker 1: supposed to play?
- 50:43Speaker 3: Do you know?
- 50:43Speaker 6: I think.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Yes, but I am not positive. I should have asked
- 50:48Speaker 2: Callahan about that this morning.
- 50:49Speaker 1: The Jags have, I think their pass rush can get
- 50:53Speaker 1: home on Drake May.
- 50:54Speaker 3: I really like Jacksonville here.
- 50:55Speaker 2: They have to. You cannot, they have to. You cannot
- 50:58Speaker 2: have another showing like you did with two first round
- 51:01Speaker 2: picks last week. I need more from those two.
- 51:04Speaker 6: I think they will eat, especially with Patriots just lost
- 51:08Speaker 6: their left guard, right?
- 51:09Speaker 2: Mike and Wenu.
- 51:10Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah. Dude, they're going to feast. It's going to
- 51:13Speaker 6: be a great game. There's going to be a lot
- 51:14Speaker 6: of happiness in that dog shit stadium that we have
- 51:18Speaker 6: right now. The vibes will be high.
- 51:21Speaker 2: It'll be an electric factory.
- 51:23Speaker 3: You're going to be hammered.
- 51:24Speaker 2: I had two glasses of wine last night and argued
- 51:27Speaker 2: with my dog when I got home.
- 51:28Speaker 6: Okay, well, Jackson was probably right in whatever argument you
- 51:32Speaker 6: guys were having. I'll be stone cold sober, and I'm
- 51:34Speaker 6: going to be bricked up for four entire quarters. So
- 51:37Speaker 6: whoever's sitting in front of me, Godspeed.
- 51:40Speaker 2: That's right.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Do you have your ticket?
- 51:43Speaker 3: What's that in my ear?
- 51:44Speaker 6: What's that? No, I'm supposed to get my tickets this weekend.
- 51:48Speaker 2: I'm also going to get my tickets this weekend. I
- 51:50Speaker 2: don't have mine yet.
- 51:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I've got a ticket hookup. You know,
- 51:55Speaker 6: those just sometimes come in a little later and I'm
- 51:57Speaker 6: a little nervous right now. My cheeks are a little tight,
- 51:59Speaker 6: but we'll be fine.
- 52:00Speaker 2: That's why I'm waiting is just in case somebody has
- 52:03Speaker 2: some extras, but I've got, I've got, I've got, I
- 52:05Speaker 2: need four tickets. So I'm just going to have to.
- 52:08Speaker 6: Your whole family's going?
- 52:09Speaker 2: Well, so my brother and my sister-in-law are taking their
- 52:13Speaker 2: kids to tailgate and then I'm stealing the sister-in-law and
- 52:17Speaker 2: she's going to the game with me and my childhood
- 52:19Speaker 2: best friend and my high school best friend.
- 52:21Speaker 6: This is going to be great.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Three games in the contest so far. Falcons, Lions, Jags.
- 52:28Speaker 3: That's what we have. Texans, Colts on deck.
- 52:31Speaker 1: The Colts are two and a half point underdogs total
- 52:35Speaker 1: at 42 and a half. The 0-2 trend really gets
- 52:37Speaker 1: tested here because both of these teams are sitting at 0-2.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Both are desperate for a win. This is essentially a
- 52:44Speaker 1: playoff game when you think about it. The percentages drop
- 52:47Speaker 1: so low if you start the season 0-3. Evan fed
- 52:51Speaker 1: me this stat before the show. Dogs are 13-7 against
- 52:54Speaker 1: the spread the last 20 years when both teams are
- 52:59Speaker 1: 0-2 in week three.
- 53:01Speaker 3: That's a great trend.
- 53:03Speaker 6: Evan is excellent, by the way. Sorry to cut you off,
- 53:05Speaker 6: but I really like having Evan as part of this.
- 53:07Speaker 6: He's a smart dude.
- 53:09Speaker 3: He is our secret weapon. Him and Dr. Chow.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Have to say I'm nominating the Houston Texans here. The
- 53:17Speaker 2: fact that it's just a field goal they need to
- 53:19Speaker 2: win by in the contest. Somebody has got to win
- 53:22Speaker 2: this game. And I think that the Houston Texans are
- 53:24Speaker 2: more likely to have a bounce back than the Colts.
- 53:26Speaker 2: I think the Colts suck. They're dealing with a lot
- 53:28Speaker 2: of injuries. houston the last time they went oh and
- 53:31Speaker 2: three i believe and made the playoffs was 2017 if
- 53:34Speaker 2: i'm not mistaken they're one of the last teams to
- 53:36Speaker 2: do it since like the 80s or something like that
- 53:38Speaker 2: so if they're gonna do it that if somebody's gonna
- 53:41Speaker 2: do it it's got to be them again they're way
- 53:42Speaker 2: better than the colts i think that their coaching is
- 53:44Speaker 2: better than the colts i am nominating the houston texans
- 53:47Speaker 2: and you guys can't veto it so suck my balls i.
- 53:50Speaker 1: Can't i haven't used mine yet oh dude sucker balls
- 53:54Speaker 1: veto that.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Damn it kravitz don't do this to.
- 53:56Speaker 3: Me i'm vetoing it i like the colts this week.
- 53:59Speaker 6: I saw this number, 85% of TK's spread handle is
- 54:04Speaker 6: on Houston, despite only 51% of the bets. So I
- 54:08Speaker 6: think I'm going to go with a pretty strong argument
- 54:11Speaker 6: there for switching, which I originally was on Team Kendra,
- 54:14Speaker 6: but I'll take Colts at home, plus two and a half.
- 54:17Speaker 2: You guys are really fucking me here.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Titans, Giants. That was graphic.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Giants minus three, 39 and a half is the total.
- 54:28Speaker 1: The Titans almost got their first win of the season
- 54:31Speaker 1: on Sunday against Philadelphia, but they fell short. The Giants
- 54:35Speaker 1: took all that hype from week one into Monday night football,
- 54:38Speaker 1: and they got blasted by the Rams after Jackson Dart
- 54:41Speaker 1: left the game with that wobbly knee.
- 54:44Speaker 3: Jameis is terrible. The fade is on.
- 54:46Speaker 1: I'm not allowed to nominate anymore, but please somebody put
- 54:49Speaker 1: the Titans in here because God, God, It's Jameis Winston.
- 54:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:54Speaker 3: Maybe the worst quarterback we'll see this weekend.
- 54:57Speaker 6: You know, Kendra, you mentioned earlier about Justin Herbert. Like,
- 55:01Speaker 6: is he like stupid or maybe he didn't like dive
- 55:04Speaker 6: into the playbook, the new playbook with his new offensive
- 55:06Speaker 6: coordinator throughout the offseason? No one ignored the playbook more
- 55:11Speaker 6: this past offseason than Jameis Winston. That guy was everywhere
- 55:16Speaker 6: else besides in a playbook. Okay. I am going to
- 55:22Speaker 6: go Titans plus two and a half, 100%.
- 55:27Speaker 2: I just, I'm worried about the Giants defensive line. You guys,
- 55:30Speaker 2: that's the big thing for me here. They're the only
- 55:33Speaker 2: thing that they have left is the, they have scatterbow
- 55:36Speaker 2: for as long as maybe he can potentially stay healthy
- 55:39Speaker 2: and they have that defensive front. That's what you have
- 55:40Speaker 2: to hang your hat on here. The Titans are bad.
- 55:43Speaker 2: I love, I wish this number was higher. Is it
- 55:46Speaker 2: a three in the contest?
- 55:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 55:48Speaker 6: Let me know. I had it at two and a
- 55:50Speaker 6: half when I was doing my, I.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Don't love this guys. I really don't.
- 55:55Speaker 3: We get to fade. Winston Brian Burns is hurt.
- 56:00Speaker 6: Hey, Hey, Hey, what's good. Is Malik neighbors going to play?
- 56:02Speaker 6: Is there any update with his health? Because that, I
- 56:05Speaker 6: don't think so.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 56:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 56:08Speaker 3: I mean, I saw some real signs of life from
- 56:11Speaker 3: the Titans last week.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Real signs.
- 56:13Speaker 3: They were explosive on offense.
- 56:16Speaker 2: I would rather sneak the chargers in here.
- 56:18Speaker 1: I'd be okay with that. Those are two of my
- 56:20Speaker 1: favorite plays this week. Titans plus three chargers.
- 56:23Speaker 2: Are you more on the Titans or the chargers?
- 56:26Speaker 6: Oh, I'd be more on the Titans.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 56:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Can you tie break between the chargers and the Titans?
- 56:35Speaker 4: It would be the Titans for me.
- 56:37Speaker 6: I'm sorry. Yeah. Yeah.
- 56:40Speaker 4: Chargers injuries.
- 56:42Speaker 6: Buffalo's offense.
- 56:44Speaker 4: And yeah, I don't trust.
- 56:45Speaker 5: I'm getting crabbed.
- 56:46Speaker 2: None of my nominations are going to fucking make it
- 56:48Speaker 2: into this shit.
- 56:49Speaker 3: This is my entire card right now. This is great.
- 56:53Speaker 3: I mean, this is.
- 56:53Speaker 2: I only have one left and I don't love it.
- 56:57Speaker 1: This is what I this is. This is why I
- 56:59Speaker 1: got up in the morning. All right, let's go to
- 57:00Speaker 1: the four o'clocks. Cardinals, 49ers, Niners, minus eight and a half.
- 57:04Speaker 1: The 49ers look like the best team in the NFL
- 57:06Speaker 1: right now. My Brock Purdy MVP ticket is trending in
- 57:10Speaker 1: the right direction. I just need Josh Allen to go
- 57:12Speaker 1: on a mini vacation, and then we'll be right there
- 57:14Speaker 1: at the top.
- 57:15Speaker 6: He will. Dude, Bills do that every year, by the way.
- 57:17Speaker 6: He does this every year. Scores like four or five
- 57:19Speaker 6: touchdowns a game. Midway through the season, Josh Allen falls
- 57:22Speaker 6: off a little bit. Maybe he's a little banged up.
- 57:25Speaker 6: Maybe teams kind of pick up on what he's doing.
- 57:27Speaker 6: But listen, I like where you're at right now. Stay
- 57:30Speaker 6: the course, okay?
- 57:32Speaker 3: Yeah, we're not selling that. But the Redbirds are in
- 57:33Speaker 3: trouble here.
- 57:34Speaker 5: I think.
- 57:36Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm not really interested in this game. Anybody?
- 57:39Speaker 2: I'm Cardinals or nothing because it's a divisional game.
- 57:44Speaker 3: Well, the 49ers have lost.
- 57:46Speaker 1: They have lost eight consecutive games against the spread at
- 57:50Speaker 1: home against the NFC West. So the trends would tell
- 57:53Speaker 1: you it's the Cardinals here. We are a Redbirds podcast, so...
- 57:59Speaker 1: I think that there's just better options out there. I'm
- 58:02Speaker 1: interested in Marvin Harrison Jr. You can bet his yardage
- 58:05Speaker 1: total of 29.5. Let's bet that to the under. Zero
- 58:08Speaker 1: catches on one target last week. This guy is cooked.
- 58:12Speaker 6: Brock Purdy, Arizona native too. He's out to peg his
- 58:18Speaker 6: hometown team.
- 58:20Speaker 2: I'm not doing it.
- 58:21Speaker 3: Yeah, let's not.
- 58:24Speaker 5: Okay.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Uh, let's move to the Minnesota Vikings at the Tampa
- 58:27Speaker 1: Bay Buccaneers bucks. One and a half point dogs. 42
- 58:31Speaker 1: and a half is the total. Kyler Murray is back
- 58:35Speaker 1: on the field. He's going to take on another former
- 58:38Speaker 1: Oklahoma Sooner. The Vikings 2-0. They're blitzing like madmen. 54%
- 58:42Speaker 1: pressure rate.
- 58:43Speaker 3: That's number one in the NFL.
- 58:45Speaker 1: And Baker Mayfield has been pretty bad.
- 58:49Speaker 3: 23rd rated passer in the NFL right now. That's a
- 58:51Speaker 3: bad combo.
- 58:52Speaker 1: Not a lot of great reasons to take the Tampa
- 58:54Speaker 1: Bay Buccaneers, but we should.
- 58:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:58Speaker 6: We should.
- 59:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:00Speaker 1: The trends point in that direction and come on. If
- 59:04Speaker 1: we're looking at the two and O teams out there
- 59:07Speaker 1: that are the fakest, it's the Vikings. If we're looking
- 59:11Speaker 1: at the O and two teams that kind of shouldn't
- 59:14Speaker 1: be O and two, it's the bucks.
- 59:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:18Speaker 3: This is made in the shade for us.
- 59:22Speaker 1: I think this should be the last one that we
- 59:24Speaker 1: lock in to the contest, but that's just my case
- 59:28Speaker 1: for it.
- 59:28Speaker 3: I think the Bucs are much better than that 0-2
- 59:30Speaker 3: record would suggest.
- 59:31Speaker 2: You're on a hotter streak than me.
- 59:34Speaker 6: They're not 0-2 bad, and the Vikings are not 2-0 good.
- 59:37Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 59:38Speaker 6: Let's do it. Come on. Make me moist.
- 59:41Speaker 5: Look at that.
- 59:42Speaker 3: Two state of Florida teams in there.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Let's do it this way. Since we're running out of time,
- 59:47Speaker 2: the only other thing that I was going to bring
- 59:49Speaker 2: up Gifford, can you let us know what the line
- 59:52Speaker 2: for the Eagles bears is in the contest? Because that's
- 59:55Speaker 2: the only other thing that I'm interested in. And it's
- 59:57Speaker 2: only handicapping injuries. That's literally it. Other than that, I
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: have nothing to bring to the table.
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: Good.
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: I like your confidence.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: If anything, I am self-aware.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: Who do you like in.
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: That game, Kendra?
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I like the Eagles, but if we want to go
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: with the Kravitz card, then fine, but I lean Eagles
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: here at four and a half.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Well, the card is we have it right now.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: We have a couple of other games that we want
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: to preview as well, but we have Falcons plus six
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: and a half.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: Lovely.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Lions minus six and a half. Jags minus three. Titans plus.
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: Two and a half?
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: I feel like we got to put the Bucs in there.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: And the Bucs plus one and a half. That's the contest.
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: I actually have a lot of confidence in what we
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: have built so far.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: Also, the Bucs game. Shout out to Nick Giffen.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Number one luck game in the NFL by a decent...
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Margin is taking the bucks against the Minnesota Vikings Raiders
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Saints Saints minus three. This is low key. The best
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: game on the card. Tyler Shucks playing like an MVP.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: The Raiders are even better than we predicted on this show.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Both Kendra and I were in on these pirates. I
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: love them both. This is like picking which kid is
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: your favorite here. So Emerson, how do you think this
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: one's going to play out? We were already locked in
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: as far as our contest plays, but this is a
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: fascinating game.
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: Yeah, New Orleans deserves credit for its win in Baltimore,
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: but Vegas 2-0 after beating, what, Miami and then the Chargers,
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: both by double digits. I'm going to take the undefeated
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: team plus a full field goal there, right? We're taking
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: Raiders plus three.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: I kind of like the Saints here.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Tyler Shuck 4-0 against the spread against AFC opponents so
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: far in his career. They've covered eight straight games dating
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: back to last season. and we're not really sure what
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Brock Bowers is going to bring to the table here
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: the Raiders I like the Raiders but I think if
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: you're getting this this is this is one of those
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: you got to play with the hook if it's three
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and a half I'm not betting the Saints if it
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: sits at three I would bet New Orleans and and
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: just live with a push but I think this is
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: going to be a close game this.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: One's a lot of fun yeah New Orleans are nothing
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: for me but I I think I think last year
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: was when I picked a game every single week that
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: I just wanted to watch and not have an opinion
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: on that's this week's That's this game for me this week.
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: Can I just ask one question? What are they doing
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: with Travis Etienne?
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Sitting behind Alvin Kamara? I don't know.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: Like, what the shit is that?
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: Like, 55-year-old Alvin Kamara, like, getting more rush attempts.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: And they're paying him, what, like, 16 mil?
- 1:02:38Speaker 6: Dude, it is ridiculous. They have, like, no idea how
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: to use him. Just do the same thing the Jags did. Like,
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: you're pissing me off. That's my sweet prince.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: Love me some probably.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: They're probably confused by the name change i think so oh.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: He's in the dog house remember emerson it's a chan
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: now uh ravens cowboys the cowboys three and a half
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: point dogs total up to a sky high 52 and
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: a half this is the rio de janeiro game baltimore
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: and dallas identical records both sitting at one and one
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: this is the first game.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: Ever In Rio.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: So a lot of unknown here. We have injuries on
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: the defense for the Cowboys. We've got injuries all over
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: the place for the Ravens. There's just, to me, there's
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: too much unknown. It's over or nothing for me when
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: it comes to this international flair.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: I have the under. I want nothing to do with this.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: The travel. Listen, I've already handicapped enough travel for the
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: entirety of the season.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: We're 1-0 on travel. I mean, no sense in pushing
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: our luck here.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: That's not true. I'm 1-1 on travel because I tried
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: to have the peg of the week be the Dolphins
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: last week, and I got my ass kicked.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: Ah, the travel back. Okay, well, the travel back is
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: not your friend.
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: So, rip.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: I don't really know.
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: I may just sit back and just watch this for
- 1:03:57Speaker 6: a little bit. I don't know if I'm going to
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: really mess with it, touch it.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: That's the theme of the card for us. We're just
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: going to sit back and watch it.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: This card is disgusting, especially with all the quarterback injuries.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: This should have been great, and now we're sitting here
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: and everything sucks.
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: I will say one.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: Thing about Baltimore and Dallas. Derrick Henry will run for
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: 200 yards after not getting the ball in that scenario
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: last week. We've seen this over and over again. Plus,
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: they'll see what the Giants did against Dallas. He should
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: go crazy in this game.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Okay, now. That sounds mighty nice.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Let's just, yeah, let's just take some ladders on Derek
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Henry call it a day. Rams Broncos Sunday night football
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Broncos plus two and a half total of 44 and
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: a half. Both teams are off of big wins. So
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: no bounce back opportunities to bet into here. Pretty similar
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: starts to the season. If you think about it, both
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: were dominated by divisional opponents in week one and then
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: looked like legit Superbowl threats at home in week two.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I'm not really sure what to do with this one.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: The Rams looked great. Aaron Donald, it's like he didn't
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: miss any time at all. Kendra, where are we on
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Puka Nakua? Is he going to play?
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: That's a factor that we've got to take into account here.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: I think Puka has to play in this game. But
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: for me, it's more so just fading Bo Nix. I
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: think he sucks. I really do. I can't get behind
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Bo Nix at this point in the season. Probably won't
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: get behind him at any point in the season unless
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: there's just a number that I really, really cannot pass on.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: I like the Rams. Don't love the Rams because the
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Broncos defense is obviously insane. But yeah, I just I
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: can't get behind Bo Nix. So it's Rams or nothing
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: for me. But I don't want anything to do with
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: this game.
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, McVay said on a show, I think
- 1:05:38Speaker 6: it was yesterday, I saw a clip on Twitter, that
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: Puka's not looking good right now. They don't think it's
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: going to be like a long-term IR thing, but he
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: says he's not making a whole lot of progress this week. Now,
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: could he just be full of shit and making us
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: think that? Sure. My fantasy team would love to have him.
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: But the one thing that has me on the Broncos,
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: one of the things is– Bonex, 15-3 in regular season
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: starts at home. And especially if Puka's not playing, I'd
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: probably take Broncos at home with the points.
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I'm always interested to see when I'm on the fence,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: the public just comes in so heavy on these primetime games.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I kind of just let that sway my decision. And
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I just like to fade everybody into oblivion. And so
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I'll see... People are probably, probably going to end up
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: lining up on the Rams. Maybe we end up getting
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: a three on the Broncos and I'll bet Denver, assuming
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: the card goes well. Cause I might just, I might just,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: if we have another down week by Sunday night football,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I'm going to be hiding in the closet.
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: So you can hide.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: I'm going to overdose on edibles.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I missed, I missed doing that over Sally over here.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Eagles bears Monday night football. We'll save that for Monday's show.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Let's recap the final five presented by DraftKings. We are
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: on the Atlanta Falcons plus six and a half on
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Thursday night football. Lions minus six and a half against
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: the New York Jets. We're back on the Jaguars minus
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: three against the AFC champs in the New England Patriots.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans plus three against the New York Giants and
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers home dogs. against those fraudulent Minnesota Vikings.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I love this card.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: Why should you place these bets at DraftKings?
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Because all DraftKings customers are getting a profit boost every
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: game day in the month of September. And that is
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: why the crown is yours. This is, I mean, this
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: should be laminated. This thing's so beautiful.
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I agree. I love it. It is so disgusting
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: that I am turned on.
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: You guys.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: We're going 5-0. We're going 5-0 this week. I will
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: not hear anything else.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: If the Bengals and Houston both cover, I'm going to
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: let you two have it.
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: Yeah. Give it to us, dude. I'm going to let
- 1:08:11Speaker 6: your mom have it at the tailgate on Sunday.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: You two have fun at the game, and we will
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: catch up on Monday. Thanks, Emerson.
- 1:08:19Speaker 6: All right. Love you guys. Mean it.
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: Bye.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: Love you.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: The favorites will return on Monday as we recap week
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: three of the NFL season.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: And preview Eagles Bears in detail.
