SPEAKER_00: Do you ever get the feeling that you're destined for an even bigger, bolder, more magical life?
• 0:24
SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Conscious Glow Up.
• 0:26
SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, intuitive energy healer and coach Crystal Ward.
• 0:30
SPEAKER_00: My goal is to help you create the life you fantasize about by teaching you energetic spiritual laws of the universe and neuroscience tools.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_00: I'll share how I utilize these teachings in my own life with stories of single motherhood, entrepreneurship, finances, and relationships.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_00: Let's dive on into the depths of consciousness and glow up from the inside out.
• 0:54
SPEAKER_00: Hello and welcome back to the conscious glow up.
• 0:57
SPEAKER_00: I am your host, as always, Crystal Ward, life coach and intuitive energy healer.
• 1:03
  SPEAKER_00: Today we're gonna talk about self-trust.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_00: And I understand that there are a lot of avenues that one can go down when they talk about self-trust.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_00: So today I am explicitly talking about creating what you want with stories from my life, but how to create what you want in your life with self-trust and why it is so important.
• 1:26
SPEAKER_00: So, what prompted this episode is it's kind of a run-on from my episode called Learning How to Get What I Want in Life a couple of episodes back.
• 1:38
SPEAKER_00: A big life hurdle that caused me to look in with intuition with the help of my intuition teacher and mentor and figure out why I am often in situations with people I care about, uh, situations that prove that I can't trust them.
• 1:56
SPEAKER_00: And it actually doesn't have anything to do with them, it has everything to do with me.
• 2:03
SPEAKER_00: And that is because we live in an inside-out world, you guys.
• 2:08
SPEAKER_00: You've probably heard me talk about the creator field, which is the electromagnetic energy field that is always radiating off of our body.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_00: It includes our thoughts, our actions, our beliefs.
• 2:20
SPEAKER_00: Basically, the idea that how we are being with ourselves is how other people will be with us.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_00: And when you are in a relationship, and when you are in the spiritual world, like I am, really, really understanding and practicing these tools and seeing how these laws of the universe are so accurate, when you're in a relationship, you can start to see how the other person is very lovingly, high consciously, but they're they don't even realize they're doing it.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_00: They're actually showing you some of your own imbalances.
• 2:53
SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, my boyfriend and I have a wonderful relationship, but there was a little issue we had, and I'm not trying to call him out, I am just being completely honest with you guys, so that you can actually grasp the concepts that I teach and see how they're playing out in my life, so that you can maybe see how they could be playing out in your life, whether it's self-trust or something else.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_00: But he helped me see how I was not trusting myself.
• 3:18
SPEAKER_00: So when I got help from my 40-year honed intuition teacher, he helped me see that I was only trusting myself 11%, specifically when it comes to creating the life I want, aka creating a successful business that will fund my life.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_00: So linked to self-trust, linked to creating my desires.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_00: That means that if I'm only trusting myself 11%, how much of a percentage do you think that I will be able to trust other people?
• 3:55
  SPEAKER_00: Probably 11%.
• 3:57
SPEAKER_00: And that's really not good because one, I want to trust other people, but also if I'm not trusting myself, then that means other people aren't able to trust me because written in my creator field with my beliefs is does not trust.
• 4:13
SPEAKER_00: So if I'm not trusting myself, then potential clients might see what I have to offer, get on a consult call, have a free session, really enjoy it.
• 4:22
SPEAKER_00: But then something subconsciously that they're picking up on in my field is that distrust.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_00: So not that they necessarily distrust me as a human, but that they distrust my ability to help them.
• 4:33
SPEAKER_00: So if I'm 11% trusting that I can create my own desires, then they're probably only well then for a fact, actually, not probably, they can only trust me 11% to help them with their desires.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_00: This doesn't mean that I've never had clients.
• 4:49
SPEAKER_00: I currently have clients, I have repeating clients.
• 4:51
SPEAKER_00: So I mean, there there are a lot of contracts.
• 4:55
SPEAKER_00: I still have higher self contracts, I have, you know, my higher self with other higher selves to help these people, but my business really can't fully flourish until I get that 11% a lot higher.
• 5:09
SPEAKER_00: So I know intuitively looking in, now I'm at 40% because of the let's just say homework I've been doing since I had that session with my mentor a little over a month ago.
• 5:20
SPEAKER_00: And it does prove that the work works.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_00: And I had that percentage checked in with another intuitive as well.
• 5:27
SPEAKER_00: So as I'm learning to master and train my own intuition, I will get answers for myself, but I do like to get them calibrated by someone who's been doing this for many more years, and it's really fun to see, like, oh, okay, I was, you know, that that amount of percentage off, or you know, I clocked a different area of life or something like that.
• 5:46
SPEAKER_00: So that is why I have been on this self-trust journey.
• 5:51
SPEAKER_00: And especially if you're a business owner, you will be able to see how much you trust yourself and how much your potential clients, you know, people who are like, oh my gosh, I really want to work with you, and then don't end up working with you is because, you know, there might be a little room for growth in your self-trust area.
• 6:09
SPEAKER_00: And then if you don't have a business, this also really matters for our relationships and with our boss.
• 6:16
SPEAKER_00: You know, you want your boss to trust you to deliver the outcome that your boss expects you to deliver.
• 6:25
SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna get promoted if our boss and our higher ups don't look at our work, you know, don't look at our potential as something to be trusted to get them what they want in the company.
• 6:36
SPEAKER_00: So this isn't just for business owners or partnerships.
• 6:40
SPEAKER_00: It trust is important in in all areas of life.
• 6:43
SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, we don't want to wake up every day not being able to trust ourselves to face challenges and trust our intuition and you know, follow our gut, follow our nudges, and you know, just trust that we can make decisions that are that are gonna get us where we want to go.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_00: Trust ourselves to be, trust our capabilities to do what we want to do, to do what we need to do.
• 7:09
SPEAKER_00: And this actually, as I've been, as I've been chewing on my past in my mind, specifically when it comes to self-trust, I know that this distrust in myself started very young because I had, again, not trying to out anyone, not trying to out my parents, I had particular struggles so that I would learn how to get over them so that I could teach other people how to get over them.
• 7:33
SPEAKER_00: So it's all, you know, I'm I don't have any resentment at all, but I did live in a household where um it wasn't really encouraged for me to make my own decisions.
• 7:45
SPEAKER_00: And then over time, over my life, I just I got to a place, especially when I started my business, I noticed this is I was constantly looking for permission to act, permission to create certain things, permission to have such and such niche, permission, permission, permission.
• 8:03
SPEAKER_00: So I got into third, I got into third, I consolidated$30,000 worth of debt, but I spent way more than that.
• 8:09
SPEAKER_00: There was a lot of stuff I had paid in full or, you know, just paid through my bank account or whatever, but I did end up consolidating$30k worth of debt because I trusted myself so fucking little, probably less than 11% at that time when I started seven years ago.
• 8:25
SPEAKER_00: I trusted myself so little to create the results I want that I looked at other at business coaches who had what I wanted, aka a successful business where I don't have to go to work anymore, like have a job anymore.
• 8:37
SPEAKER_00: I saw what they had and I didn't trust myself to create it, so I hired them, and then I would be expecting like a playbook to for my exact business, but they don't have the playbook to my business.
• 8:50
SPEAKER_00: None of them had that.
• 8:51
SPEAKER_00: None of them, you know, they could guide me and help me with different processes and tools that help them, but I really was looking for somebody to tell me what to do and what my business should be at every fucking turn.
• 9:04
SPEAKER_00: And I learned, you know, at the this was about three, four years ago, maybe.
• 9:12
SPEAKER_00: It's almost four years that I consolidated that debt, and that is when I realized, oh my gosh, I I don't trust myself when it comes to this.
• 9:21
SPEAKER_00: And I realized I I just kind of like the pendulum swung the other way.
• 9:25
SPEAKER_00: I was like, okay, I haven't gotten what I wanted by investing all of this money with all of these people.
• 9:29
SPEAKER_00: I haven't gotten what I wanted by not trusting myself.
• 9:32
SPEAKER_00: So let me start trusting myself a little bit and just start making my own decisions without asking for permission.
• 9:39
SPEAKER_00: So that was kind of the first phase of this self-trust.
• 9:41
SPEAKER_00: And then recently, before that session with my mentor, the little life and relationship obstacle I had just illuminated it a lot brighter, I think, because I'm really ready to shift it.
• 11:54
SPEAKER_00: So this is like phase two, what felt like the biggest phase ever of trust being an issue.
• 12:01
SPEAKER_00: And the session with him, it helped me see why I didn't trust myself.
• 12:07
SPEAKER_00: But he gave me very, very precise homework to do.
• 12:11
SPEAKER_00: And one of the parts of the homework, so if you're a business owner, here's a free little tool for you.
• 12:17
SPEAKER_00: Look at what you want to create and work backwards.
• 12:20
SPEAKER_00: And part of my, you know, because my self-trust came from not trusting myself to create my desires, and then that caused reflections in other areas of life, specifically relationships, like I'm not trusting myself to create desires, so now I'm being faced with situations where I can't trust other people.
• 12:38
SPEAKER_00: Um, part of my homework is creating a formula for how to create my desires.
• 12:44
SPEAKER_00: So if I want to make a million dollars in one year in my business, but let's be real, I'm just starting with I want to make$100,000 in my business in one year at this point.
• 12:53
SPEAKER_00: That's the marker I'm currently trying to reach.
• 12:56
SPEAKER_00: I won't hit it this year, um, but that's my first like big, big marker.
• 13:01
SPEAKER_00: So I have to create a formula to get there.
• 13:04
SPEAKER_00: And he said, take you know, the help from the universe, take help from your higher self, and take out help from source.
• 13:12
SPEAKER_00: Like, do you trust that you can, or you need to get to a place where you trust that just you can create a fail-proof formula to getting what you want.
• 13:23
SPEAKER_00: So, within my formula is part of it, a very, very small part of it.
• 13:29
SPEAKER_00: It's a multi-step formula that includes skill development, um, systems, you know, relationship building, a lot of stuff.
• 13:38
SPEAKER_00: But part of the formula is networking events.
• 13:41
SPEAKER_00: And I used to go to a lot of networking events and then not go to, most everything's virtual these days.
• 13:46
SPEAKER_00: It's hard for me to find a networking event at a time that I can actually go where I'm not at my job or you know, being a mom, a single mom.
• 13:54
SPEAKER_00: Um, so I go to a lot of or I used to go to a lot of online networking events.
• 13:58
SPEAKER_00: So that's something that's part of my formula now is starting that up again.
• 14:03
SPEAKER_00: So I finally booked one for this morning and it was at 10 a.m.
• 14:09
SPEAKER_00: And I worked late last night at the restaurant.
• 14:13
SPEAKER_00: And I worked late, so I get home and I'm not gonna go to bed right away.
• 14:17
SPEAKER_00: I still want to eat dinner and I want to digest my food a little bit before going to sleep so that I don't wake up feeling like crap.
• 14:23
SPEAKER_00: Well, 9 o'clock rolls around my alarm and I felt like crap anyway.
• 14:28
SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh, I could just so stay in this cozy bed with my boyfriend and just cuddle with him all morning.
• 14:36
SPEAKER_00: I really didn't want to get up for this.
• 14:38
SPEAKER_00: The reason I did get up is has less to do.
• 14:43
SPEAKER_00: This was a big part of it.
• 14:44
SPEAKER_00: I really wanted to go to this networking event.
• 14:47
SPEAKER_00: It seemed really cool online again, but um, the biggest reason why I did get my ass out of bed was because I knew how important it was for me to go to that event because of how much it would affect my self-trust.
• 15:04
  SPEAKER_00: It seems small, right?
• 15:05
SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, one little event, and then that could really rock your self-trust.
• 15:08
SPEAKER_00: But because I am focusing on building my self-trust, that focus makes things bigger.
• 15:16
SPEAKER_00: So if I book the event and I don't go, it's you know, whereas if I wasn't really focusing on my self-trust, maybe it would be a two, a level two.
• 15:26
SPEAKER_00: But if I'm because I'm focusing on my self-trust and I don't go, it'll be like a level nine in my in that creator field, in that energy field of mine.
• 15:35
SPEAKER_00: And it would be detrimental to my self-trust building, and it probably would knock it down a couple percentages, to be honest.
• 15:44
SPEAKER_00: So I went to the event and I, like I said, have hired a lot of business coaches, a lot of people to help me.
• 15:51
SPEAKER_00: I have been to plenty of networking events.
• 15:53
SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I was being rewarded by the universe or not, but this event was the most beneficial, most valuable networking event I have ever been to.
• 16:02
SPEAKER_00: Not because I got a bunch of, you know, names and contacts, but because of the the content that the presenters gave us.
• 16:09
SPEAKER_00: This lady gave us a whole business class, basically.
• 16:12
SPEAKER_00: It was really cool, and it was stuff that I had never heard ever about the the phases of business and a lot of other stuff.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_00: I've never heard that from any of the tens of thousands of dollars I've spent with any single business coach.
• 16:27
SPEAKER_00: So that was it was it was so valuable, and I was not only grateful that I went because it did help me trust my like put that in trust, might trust myself in my creator field, in my brain, and my beliefs, but because of how much value I got from it, and it is actually a free referral network, and they do they do calls every Friday.
• 16:49
  SPEAKER_00: It's free.
• 16:50
SPEAKER_00: Those are I've never found a free referral network.
• 16:52
SPEAKER_00: This guy who owns it has had a bunch of businesses and they focus on helping small to medium-sized bus new businesses grow.
• 17:03
SPEAKER_00: Um, so like I found like I, you know, landed on a little bit of a a gold mine there.
• 17:08
SPEAKER_00: So I was it was just it worked out so well.
• 17:10
SPEAKER_00: I was very happy with myself for for many reasons.
• 17:15
SPEAKER_00: And self-trust isn't just it's not just what you think of yourself.
• 17:20
SPEAKER_00: It is so much deeper.
• 17:21
SPEAKER_00: It is embedded in your subconscious mind.
• 17:24
SPEAKER_00: It includes your deep-seated beliefs, which are comprised of your actions because it's not like our thoughts, yes, but our thoughts lead to actions.
• 17:35
SPEAKER_00: So consistent actions lead to our subconscious beliefs because the brain is always looking for consistency and patterns.
• 17:46
SPEAKER_00: So if my pattern is doesn't follow through with self, doesn't follow through with self, whether it's a networking event or going to the gym or not eating a piece of cheesecake at 11 p.m.
• 17:56
SPEAKER_00: Like if I tell myself I'm not gonna do it.
• 17:58
SPEAKER_00: Um it's the consistency that creates these beliefs.
• 18:03
SPEAKER_00: So if I'm consistently not following through on myself, okay, well, my belief is I don't follow through on myself.
• 18:12
SPEAKER_00: My proof is I don't follow through with myself, therefore, I don't really trust myself.
• 18:16
SPEAKER_00: And therefore, in my creator field, other people aren't gonna trust me either.
• 18:22
SPEAKER_00: They might like me, they might love me, they might have gained so much from like a lottery session or something, but will they buy more even if they want it?
• 18:31
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 18:36
SPEAKER_00: Self-trust isn't believing that you will always make the right decision.
• 18:42
SPEAKER_00: It is believing that whatever decision you do make, you will learn, adapt, and never abandon yourself.
• 18:49
SPEAKER_00: And part of that abandoning yourself is abandoning the things that you told yourself you were going to do.
• 18:59
SPEAKER_00: This is all part of our identity, our thoughts and our beliefs and our actions and who we believe we are in the world.
• 19:08
SPEAKER_00: And if we don't if we aren't creating the life we want because of who we feel we are being in the world, we get to change that.
• 19:17
SPEAKER_00: So I I saw that I wasn't able to create what I wanted, especially from a place of not trusting myself to create it, because I can I've I'm very good at taking action.
• 19:28
SPEAKER_00: I am incredible at taking action.
• 19:30
SPEAKER_00: I used to overtake action.
• 19:32
SPEAKER_00: I used to work my ass off until 3 a.m.
• 19:35
SPEAKER_00: I would go to the steakhouse and work a six, seven, eight hour shift and go home and fucking work at 11 p.m.
• 19:41
SPEAKER_00: I do not do that anymore, and I would never recommend that to anybody, no matter what phase of business you're in.
• 19:47
SPEAKER_00: Um, but I'm very good at taking action.
• 19:49
SPEAKER_00: So it's not that I couldn't trust myself to take action.
• 19:52
SPEAKER_00: It was just that I wasn't trusting that my actions were going to lead me where I want to go.
• 19:58
  SPEAKER_00: So that's insanity, right?
• 20:00
SPEAKER_00: So I am extremely grateful that I had this, you know, it was a massive like shirt shakeup in my life.
• 20:07
  SPEAKER_00: It was not comfortable.
• 20:09
SPEAKER_00: Um, it it was just it was hard for my relationship.
• 20:11
SPEAKER_00: We're in a much better place right now, but that let me look at the identity I've been carrying of not trusting myself and you know, just feeling like I just feeling like I wasn't the person who could really do what I want to do.
• 20:28
SPEAKER_00: And do you think successful businesses are made from that place, from that identity of I can't do it, I don't trust myself, um, you know, I'm not good enough, I'm not capable enough, or do you think a successful business is created from like I am the one, I am unique, this is my business, and it is going to be successful because I trust myself.
• 20:51
SPEAKER_00: So, whatever, whatever identity in any area of life that you feel you might have, or if you you are experiencing patterns, or you're just really struggling to have what you want, to create what you want, to have the relationship you want, get the promotion, create the business you want, sign the clients, have the health that you want.
• 21:12
  SPEAKER_00: Try and look in.
• 21:15
SPEAKER_00: And you don't need scientifically precise intuition to start to figure this out on your own.
• 21:21
SPEAKER_00: Try and look in and ask yourself what what parts of your beliefs might be holding you back from this, what parts of your everyday thoughts and and actions, like what actions are you doing that are preventing you from having this?
• 21:37
SPEAKER_00: I know that if I go back to smoking weed all the time and drinking, those actions 100% prevent me from taking the action to creating what I want.
• 21:49
SPEAKER_00: And then what actions are you not doing?
• 21:51
SPEAKER_00: And for me, that was you know, networking events for a long time and not sending emails and not doing a podcast.
• 21:57
SPEAKER_00: What actions are you not doing that are contributing to you not getting what you want?
• 22:03
SPEAKER_00: So actions, beliefs, thoughts, it's all part of your identity, and whatever you don't like, whatever you want to shift, whatever isn't working for you, you get to decide to shift it.
• 22:16
SPEAKER_00: I love helping people with identity shifting because every time I shift my own identity, big things happen in my life, and it is it's so rewarding getting to feel that empowerment for myself and see that my life really is in my hands, it's not in anybody else's hands, and that is why I love helping other people shift their identities so much because I want them to feel empowered in their lives and strong and capable to create the lives that they want, and self-trust is a very, very crucial part of that process.
• 22:54
SPEAKER_00: All right, guys, I had fun talking about one of my life's biggest struggles, but something that I can tell is going to pay off tremendously.
• 23:05
SPEAKER_00: If you want to continue this conversation, if you have any questions, if you want any help with any of this, then you can email me Crystal K R Y S T A L at Crystal Ward.com or reach out on Instagram or anywhere else you might know me.
• 23:22
SPEAKER_00: Have a great day or night.
