Rather than viewing the parable of the ten virgins as a mere lesson in individual preparedness, we are challenged to stay spiritually awake against the lull of modern distractions and cultural division, recognizing that true salvation is found not in selfishly securing our own oil, but in actively building a unified community where no one is left shut out in the dark.
