- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody
- 0:06Speaker 1: you are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now.
- 0:09Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man
- 0:14Speaker 1: got a radio show because God is in a blessing business.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I just happen to be a recipient.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I just happened to got a couple of things right,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and man, his grace and mercy carries you the rest
- 0:30Speaker 1: of the way. All you got to do is get
- 0:33Speaker 1: a couple of things right, and then his grace and
- 0:35Speaker 1: his mercy will take over his favor, his love of you.
- 0:41Speaker 1: It's it's already evident. I mean, you know, because so
- 0:43Speaker 1: many times we go along without even acknowledging him or
- 0:47Speaker 1: conferring with him in our decisions, and we look up
- 0:50Speaker 1: when we find ourselves in a predicament and He always
- 0:53Speaker 1: comes comes to the rescue. He always manages to show up.
- 1:00Speaker 1: He's never too late, he's never one minute too late.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And so in light of this today I wanted to
- 1:07Speaker 1: talk to you about something. It's another principle of success
- 1:14Speaker 1: that I'd like to share with everybody this morning. And
- 1:17Speaker 1: once again, these are not things that you don't know
- 1:20Speaker 1: or you've never heard before. These are just reminders along
- 1:25Speaker 1: the way. And one of the things you have to
- 1:28Speaker 1: be conscious of is don't be afraid to change. Don't
- 1:32Speaker 1: be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. See
- 1:37Speaker 1: I have a theory, don't be afraid to change because
- 1:41Speaker 1: change is coming anyway. You know, everything changes, nothing remains
- 1:46Speaker 1: the same nothing, and change is inevitable. Now, you could
- 1:51Speaker 1: participate in the change, or you can react to the change.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Are you following me? Participate in the change, or you
- 2:03Speaker 1: can react to the change. But don't be afraid to
- 2:07Speaker 1: change because change is coming anyway. Now, what I mean
- 2:11Speaker 1: by that is this, in participating in the change or
- 2:17Speaker 1: reacting in the change, there is a difference.
- 2:20Speaker 2: See if you react to the change, that means the change.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Has occurred and now you have to make the necessary
- 2:28Speaker 1: adjustments to the change. Example, the boss walks in, You
- 2:33Speaker 1: think your job is good. The boss walks in and
- 2:36Speaker 1: hands you a pink slip. That right there, that's a change.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Now you didn't participate in this change because you didn't
- 2:44Speaker 1: ask for the pink slip.
- 2:45Speaker 2: But now you got to react to the pink slip.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Whenever you have to react to the change, it's an
- 2:53Speaker 1: adjustment period. It almost throws you off. So changes going
- 2:59Speaker 1: on to come. It always does. You could participate or
- 3:05Speaker 1: you can react. Or let's say your boss comes in
- 3:12Speaker 1: and hands you the pink slip and you said, you
- 3:15Speaker 1: know what I've been preparing for this day?
- 3:19Speaker 2: Always knew nothing.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Last forever, I've been working on the sideline on the
- 3:24Speaker 1: business idea I had, and I had, or I had
- 3:28Speaker 1: several other applications in around town. I was just holding
- 3:31Speaker 1: off to see what was going going. So when they
- 3:34Speaker 1: hand you the pink slip, the transition, the adjustment you
- 3:38Speaker 1: make is a lot more smoother transition because now you
- 3:41Speaker 1: just transition into your new business idea that you've been
- 3:44Speaker 1: working on. Are you transitioned into the apps you already
- 3:47Speaker 1: had in or the contacts you made the preparation for
- 3:51Speaker 1: when the day they come in hand you the pink slip, Well, Steve,
- 3:54Speaker 1: what did they surprise you with it? This is just
- 3:56Speaker 1: one example I'm giving you. So you know, let's let's
- 3:59Speaker 1: not nick picked the message. So what I'm saying to
- 4:03Speaker 1: everybody is, don't be afraid to change, because change is
- 4:08Speaker 1: coming anyway. So many people are stuck in a rut
- 4:12Speaker 1: because of our refusal to change. I was hell bent
- 4:18Speaker 1: on a certain thing going a certain way, and this
- 4:22Speaker 1: is how it was gonna go. Well, that that I
- 4:24Speaker 1: was thinking didn't really fit. Now, in my own personal experience,
- 4:29Speaker 1: this may not be yours, but in my own personal experience,
- 4:33Speaker 1: the things that I've had the most trouble letting go
- 4:36Speaker 1: of was something I wanted when I line myself up
- 4:41Speaker 1: with the will of God to ask God what he
- 4:44Speaker 1: wanted from me. You understand, those things came a lot
- 4:50Speaker 1: more easy to me because it was in the will
- 4:53Speaker 1: of God. It was what God wanted me to do too. Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 1: see what you mean by that? Okay, here we go.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Things were going wrong in relationships.
- 5:03Speaker 2: For me.
- 5:05Speaker 1: What I did was the biggest mistake I've ever made.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Was I attempted to fix what was wrong in my
- 5:12Speaker 1: relationship outside of the relationship, you feel me. Okay, So
- 5:18Speaker 1: I'm out there working my groove like I want to. Well, now,
- 5:22Speaker 1: guess what, there's a cause and effect for all of
- 5:25Speaker 1: that too. Your house ain't gonna get better, it can't.
- 5:31Speaker 1: And then that lays room for some other things. And
- 5:35Speaker 1: so now when the change come, guess what I got
- 5:38Speaker 1: to react to it? Now, I gotta, I gotta, I
- 5:42Speaker 1: gotta have a reaction to it. Had I lined myself
- 5:45Speaker 1: up in the will of God, the transition may have
- 5:49Speaker 1: gone differently. It could have still ended the relationship. But
- 5:54Speaker 1: guess what, some of the pain I's in I ain't
- 5:57Speaker 1: had to go through. I bought a lot on myself.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Sometimes you're pursuing a passion of yours, and what God
- 6:07Speaker 1: really wants you to do is pursue your gift. So
- 6:11Speaker 1: now you're pursuing your passion, right, you passion about golf.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You love golf so much, you just determine. But now
- 6:19Speaker 1: you're don messed around. You ain't made it on the
- 6:21Speaker 1: PGA Tour yet, and you forty five, still talking about
- 6:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna play on the PGA Tour. Really, Okay, Maybe
- 6:28Speaker 1: you ain't as good as this you think, or maybe
- 6:30Speaker 1: you're not as gifted as you think.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Maybe you're pursuing a passion.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Sometimes, man, we have to change and we have to
- 6:38Speaker 1: ask God what is his will? His will is much simpler.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It's a simpler road. Not going to be easier, it's simpler.
- 6:46Speaker 1: See when I wake up now, it's simple for me
- 6:49Speaker 1: to wake up because I know that are few things
- 6:52Speaker 1: that I have to do. I have to click this
- 6:55Speaker 1: mic on. I have to be positive. I have to
- 6:59Speaker 1: be inspiration. I have to be informative, I have to
- 7:03Speaker 1: be uplifting. Got it, That's what he wants. All I
- 7:06Speaker 1: got to do is sit down, close my eyes, ask
- 7:09Speaker 1: God to help me be who he want me to be.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And for the most part, he tell me what to say. Now,
- 7:17Speaker 1: guess what he's done though, to create this in me.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I went through enough things in my life. I had
- 7:23Speaker 1: enough challenges. I made plenty of mistakes. So now at
- 7:27Speaker 1: my age, I can turn around and tell somebody listening
- 7:30Speaker 1: to me, Okay, this is what I did. This is
- 7:32Speaker 1: a mistake I made. Maybe you see yourself in this
- 7:34Speaker 1: story right here. Maybe you don't have to go this way.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Or this is what I've learned about becoming successful. Here's
- 7:40Speaker 1: a principle that I learned. But then, guess what I
- 7:42Speaker 1: had to be unsuccessful to get it though, didn't I?
- 7:45Speaker 1: So you can't have a testimony without a test Change
- 7:49Speaker 1: is coming. It's inevitable. You can participate or you can react.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I much prefer to participate in the change. All right,
- 7:57Speaker 1: let's go here.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Listening to the Seed Harvey Morning Show,
