- 0:07Speaker 1: This mediated podcast. Welcome to meet EATR Trivia, the only
- 0:12Speaker 1: game show where conservation always wins. I'm your host, Spencer
- 0:15Speaker 1: new Art, and today we're joined by Steven Ronnella, Seth Morris, Chester, Floyd,
- 0:20Speaker 1: Sean Weaver, Cring Schneider, Corey Caulkins, and special guest and
- 0:24Speaker 1: Black Rifle Coffee Company founder Evan Hafer. Evan, this is
- 0:28Speaker 1: your first time playing. How do you feel about trivia?
- 0:30Speaker 1: I feel great about it? Do you? Yeah? Yeah? I
- 0:33Speaker 1: mean not necessarily this one. Whase trivia in general? I
- 0:35Speaker 1: have a positive if you like general trivia and you're
- 0:39Speaker 1: someone on questions, if you're someone who likes trivia and
- 0:43Speaker 1: you also like hunting fish, and then I think you'll
- 0:45Speaker 1: do Okay, we'll see, all right, Steve, you you've kind
- 0:48Speaker 1: of sussed him out by now. How do you think
- 0:50Speaker 1: he's going to perform? He um, he's playing it. He's
- 0:54Speaker 1: trying to do like that. I don't really care. It
- 0:56Speaker 1: will just be fun kind of thing. So he's trying
- 0:59Speaker 1: to downplay. I told about getting thrown a bone. He
- 1:03Speaker 1: seemed to actually not like, oh, getting thrown a bone? Okay,
- 1:07Speaker 1: so you might want to cut that out. Maybe it's
- 1:10Speaker 1: a difficult question. Uh so not really a bone. We'll see.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Is that a reality? Are you kind of downplaying? Um,
- 1:18Speaker 1: like you're passionate about winning? Uh No, I'm very passionate
- 1:21Speaker 1: about winning. I'm just not competent. I'm going to it guy.
- 1:24Speaker 1: So I don't know if I've down player and I'm
- 1:26Speaker 1: just more of a realist. Not if you're not familiar.
- 1:28Speaker 1: This is a ten round quiz show with questions from
- 1:31Speaker 1: meat eaters for verticals which are hunting, fishing, conservation, and cooking,
- 1:35Speaker 1: and there's a prize. Meat eater will donate five dollars
- 1:38Speaker 1: to the conservation organization of the winners choosing. In each episode,
- 1:42Speaker 1: we reveal a new trivia stant. This week, we're looking
- 1:45Speaker 1: at player performance in the hunting category. Although most players
- 1:49Speaker 1: get over half of their hunting questions correct, Brody leads
- 1:52Speaker 1: the group with a seventy nine percent average. That's followed
- 1:57Speaker 1: by Hayden, who gets seventy seven percent of hunting questions right.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Chester was sixty three, Sean with fifty eight, Steve with
- 2:04Speaker 1: fifty five, and Nice with shifty. We had very thoral stacking.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Hunting is our second most popular category and trivia only
- 2:17Speaker 1: behind conservation, so that's where Brody makes up his ground
- 2:20Speaker 1: on you. He's twenty percentage points better when it comes
- 2:24Speaker 1: to hunting questions. The rest of it, You guys are
- 2:25Speaker 1: all kind of even. It turns out you don't know
- 2:28Speaker 1: much about Brody knows a lot he does. Now we
- 2:33Speaker 1: have some housekeeping to get to you. Before we played
- 2:35Speaker 1: trivia on episode three five three of Meat Eater Trivia,
- 2:39Speaker 1: I asked what type of bird is a squab? The
- 2:42Speaker 1: correct answer was pigeon, but Steve argued I shouldn't accept
- 2:45Speaker 1: any answer that isn't rock dove. Play the clip, Phil,
- 2:50Speaker 1: go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Steve saying
- 2:53Speaker 1: Eurasian rock dove, Andrew saying pigeon, Kevin On saying pigeon,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and Byron saying pigeon. Beforehand, don't overthink it. That was
- 3:04Speaker 1: your advice to The correct answer is pigeon. They're the same.
- 3:08Speaker 1: They're the same. We'll give it to you, but you
- 3:11Speaker 1: can't give it to them. Yes, they get too many
- 3:13Speaker 1: kinds of pigeons. The dictionary says it's an immature pigeon.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I'm now handing Steve a copy of his own New
- 3:22Speaker 1: York Times bestseller, The Meat eater fishing game cookbooks. Steve,
- 3:26Speaker 1: please turn to page one sixty six and read the
- 3:29Speaker 1: section I've highlighted. It says also works with so in
- 3:32Speaker 1: this book, Okay, in this book, here's the problem with
- 3:38Speaker 1: wild game cooking. You could you could say something like, hey,
- 3:40Speaker 1: here's a great way to cook a deer heart, and
- 3:42Speaker 1: the people be like, would you have any way to
- 3:44Speaker 1: cook at elk cart right, no difference, So that also
- 3:48Speaker 1: works with section will kind of give you a little
- 3:50Speaker 1: heads up. So this recipe we're looking at here is
- 3:52Speaker 1: grilled grouse with cayenne butter, and I point out works
- 3:57Speaker 1: with any white fleshed game up to the size of
- 4:01Speaker 1: a pheasant. And also squab. Then it's a parenthetical in
- 4:05Speaker 1: case you're wondering, a squab is a baby street pigeon.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's true. So there you have it. From the now.
- 4:13Speaker 1: You were arguing in the trivia that I shouldn't accept
- 4:15Speaker 1: anything less than Eurasian rock. No, no no, no. I was
- 4:18Speaker 1: arguing that you can't just you don't even know what
- 4:21Speaker 1: your arguments about. I argued. I argued that you can't
- 4:25Speaker 1: just say pigeon, So you would have accepted street pigeon. Absolutely,
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's the same species, but not pigeon. Columb Olivia is
- 4:34Speaker 1: his Linnaean name. Columba Okay, columb Olivia is the Eurasian
- 4:40Speaker 1: rock dove. In your in Eurasia, it's the common street
- 4:44Speaker 1: pigeon in the US, I wouldn't accept, for instance, the
- 4:49Speaker 1: band tailed pigeon. And if someone just writes pigeon, I
- 4:52Speaker 1: don't know what pigeon you're talking about. Thank you for
- 4:55Speaker 1: backing the stuff with my own heart the same page
- 5:02Speaker 1: New Hearts, got new Hearts. I'm so screwed. We haven't
- 5:08Speaker 1: even started playing now. These Shelby index for this episode
- 5:13Speaker 1: is a three, so it's a tougher round questions, and
- 5:16Speaker 1: with that we're onto the game. Go ahead. Spencer tries
- 5:20Speaker 1: the questions out with his wife, who's not a particularly
- 5:25Speaker 1: a connoisseur of the subject matter, and he'll do an index,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and a Shelby index of three is usually the winner
- 5:33Speaker 1: will get about twice what Shelby gets and six would
- 5:38Speaker 1: be on the lower end of a winning Seven would
- 5:41Speaker 1: be about average. Eight. You did well. Six means it's
- 5:44Speaker 1: a tougher round, and with that we're onto the game
- 5:47Speaker 1: of trivia. Play the drop, Phil, Look, I need to
- 5:52Speaker 1: know what I stay in the wind everything. How's that
- 5:56Speaker 1: had just tend to win everything? Suckers. Question one. The
- 6:09Speaker 1: topic is cooking, and as always, this will be multiple choice.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Which of these measurements is biggest a quarter cup, four
- 6:18Speaker 1: table spoons, twelve tea spoons, or four fluid ounces? Which
- 6:26Speaker 1: of these measurements is biggest a quarter cup, four table spoons,
- 6:31Speaker 1: twelve teaspoons, or four fluid ounces? Sean with a quick answer.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You think you know this one, Sean, just sing with
- 6:39Speaker 1: my gut? Alright, Chester, you run out of time? How
- 6:43Speaker 1: you doing? Got an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 6:47Speaker 1: We have Corey Culkins saying a quarter cup, Sean sang
- 6:51Speaker 1: four ounces, Seth sang four ounces, Evan saying a quarter cup,
- 6:56Speaker 1: Steve sang four ounces, Krin sang four ounces, and Chester
- 7:02Speaker 1: saying a quarter cup. The correct answer is four fluid ounces. Yeah.
- 7:07Speaker 1: In fact, the top three are all synonyms. They are
- 7:10Speaker 1: you're you're exactly right. Four fluid ounces is twice as
- 7:14Speaker 1: big as all of those other measurements when converted to
- 7:18Speaker 1: table spoons. A quarter cup and twelve tea spoons are
- 7:21Speaker 1: four table spoons, but four fluid ounces is the equivalent
- 7:25Speaker 1: of eight table spoons. That was a good question, perfect game,
- 7:30Speaker 1: so far over here. Question to the topic is fishing.
- 7:35Speaker 1: This next great question comes to as via Nate Bunker.
- 7:38Speaker 1: If you have a question you think is right for
- 7:40Speaker 1: meat Eater Trivia, you can send it to trivia to
- 7:42Speaker 1: meat Eator dot com, or you can be like Nate
- 7:44Speaker 1: and write me a letter. This is the only trivia
- 7:46Speaker 1: question via snail mail, real quick? Who's the guy that's
- 7:51Speaker 1: all been out of shape? Email? And everybody and their
- 7:54Speaker 1: brother about some correction? What? We'll get to that one
- 7:56Speaker 1: some other episode. And we can only do so much
- 7:58Speaker 1: housekeeping in an episode. What do you call the distinct
- 8:03Speaker 1: layer in a lake that separates warm surface water from
- 8:07Speaker 1: cool deep water? The topic is fishing. What do you
- 8:12Speaker 1: call the distinct layer in a lake that separates warm
- 8:16Speaker 1: surface water from cool deep water? Seth, You know this one, Steve,
- 8:21Speaker 1: you look like you knew it. I'm not a mistake.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I think she just whispered the answer? Oh you did?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Did she whisper the answer? Chester? I do not think so.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I didn't hear it. It was in my head. Does
- 8:37Speaker 1: everybody having just hearing things now? In trivia? Everybody hard
- 8:46Speaker 1: that it just whispers to you, Now, I gotta take
- 8:48Speaker 1: his glasses off. Go ahead and reveal your answers. We
- 8:51Speaker 1: have Corey saying sub Sean saying thermo cliin, Sas sang
- 8:55Speaker 1: thermoclin Evan without an answer, Steve saying thermocline Korean without
- 8:59Speaker 1: an s in, Chester saying thermal cliin. They got it.
- 9:02Speaker 1: The correct answer is thermal cliin. According to fisheries biologists
- 9:07Speaker 1: Dave Drebs, these are important areas for anglers to focus
- 9:11Speaker 1: on during the heat of the summer. Above the thermal
- 9:13Speaker 1: clin is often hot water, while below it usually lacks oxygen.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So the thermal clin represents a region where fish can
- 9:21Speaker 1: benefit from dissolved oxygen levels near the surface, but also
- 9:24Speaker 1: be comfortable in cooler waters. Yeah, Spencer, a couple of
- 9:28Speaker 1: weekends ago as walleye fishing, just side note you and
- 9:32Speaker 1: uh the walleye, the wall I were sitting right on
- 9:36Speaker 1: the thermocliine. Really and you can market on a lot
- 9:41Speaker 1: of times. You can see that thermal client on your graph.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And do you think they were there out of like
- 9:45Speaker 1: comfort or because the bait fish were there? Uh? Probably
- 9:48Speaker 1: comfort because the bait were was higher in the in
- 9:50Speaker 1: the column. I think they. I think they were sliding
- 9:52Speaker 1: up in the evenings and at a certain time of year,
- 9:55Speaker 1: that thermal cline, once it hits a certain temple split. Yeah, inverts.
- 10:00Speaker 1: That's called turnover. That's right. Question three, the topic is hunting.
- 10:06Speaker 1: What is the only state that has a white tail
- 10:10Speaker 1: and turkey season in July? Mm? Hmm. What is the
- 10:16Speaker 1: only state that has a white tail and turkey season
- 10:20Speaker 1: in July? M quick answer from Sean. The rest of
- 10:24Speaker 1: the room has yet to come up with anything. I'm
- 10:28Speaker 1: actually fairly confident. Knock on wood, only state, I think
- 10:33Speaker 1: in July in July. There's no trickeration here. It's not
- 10:39Speaker 1: like some urban depredation haunt. These are just like a
- 10:43Speaker 1: real season for tight white tail and a real season
- 10:46Speaker 1: for turkey in July. Does everybody have an answer? Well,
- 10:50Speaker 1: here's the deal. I remember something, I just don't know what.
- 11:02Speaker 1: There's no whisper this time coming from current. Does everybody
- 11:05Speaker 1: have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers. We
- 11:09Speaker 1: have Corey saying Texas, Sean saying Florida, Seth saying Texas,
- 11:13Speaker 1: Evans saying Georgia, Steve saying Indiana. What's that say Indiana,
- 11:19Speaker 1: Karn saying Georgia, and Chester saying Texas. We have a
- 11:22Speaker 1: correct answer in the room. It's Florida. Sean in in
- 11:34Speaker 1: two parts of Florida had deer and turkey seasons open
- 11:38Speaker 1: on July one. Florida has some of the longest hunting
- 11:41Speaker 1: seasons in the country. Deer can be hunted there from
- 11:44Speaker 1: July to February, while the only months without a turkey
- 11:47Speaker 1: season or May and June. Help help me with help
- 11:50Speaker 1: me with something here, I'm not I'm not arguing, contesting, nothing,
- 11:54Speaker 1: not complaining. This is what was the state that started that?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Like velvet season, well, Tennessee recently to give people a
- 12:04Speaker 1: chance to shoot a deer in velvet. Tennessee recently adopted one.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I think the next closest early opener South Carolina. They're
- 12:10Speaker 1: like August fifteen. Tennessee is also in August as of recently,
- 12:14Speaker 1: but only in certain areas. It's becoming more sexy for
- 12:17Speaker 1: states to give hunters a chance at velvet bucks. There's
- 12:20Speaker 1: a lot and they even articulated it as though our
- 12:24Speaker 1: people want to shoot a buck in velvet, therefore we'll
- 12:28Speaker 1: create an early velvet buck season. Tennessee was a recent one.
- 12:31Speaker 1: North Dakota also has one of the earliest. They opened
- 12:33Speaker 1: like some years it's like August. So there's a handful
- 12:37Speaker 1: of states now that open all the way in August.
- 12:40Speaker 1: What you're talking about, they wouldn't even be they'd be
- 12:42Speaker 1: they'd have half grown anidlers. Well, they have a very
- 12:46Speaker 1: diverse group of running herds in Florida. That's that's what
- 12:51Speaker 1: you got going on there. Yeah, it's a whole different
- 12:53Speaker 1: calendar that those deer on. And I only know that
- 12:56Speaker 1: because the guy that uh, a guy that hunts black
- 12:59Speaker 1: belt at Whistling Ducks down there. Him and I were
- 13:02Speaker 1: going back and forth and you send me pictures of
- 13:04Speaker 1: these deer. He was going to be hunting the next morning.
- 13:06Speaker 1: There's a what are you doing in Florida hunting deer?
- 13:08Speaker 1: There's a handful of states in the very South that
- 13:11Speaker 1: have running deer at any point between like July and February.
- 13:15Speaker 1: There's some herds. I would not want to go down
- 13:18Speaker 1: to Florida in July to hunt deer. Mosquitoes gators. Question
- 13:26Speaker 1: for the topic is foraging. This next great question comes
- 13:30Speaker 1: to as via Stephen Higgs. If you have a question
- 13:32Speaker 1: you think is right for Meat Eater Trivia. You can
- 13:34Speaker 1: send it to trivia at the meat eater dot com.
- 13:37Speaker 1: What branch of the military teaches a foraging What branch
- 13:44Speaker 1: of the military teaches a foraging class at the Basic
- 13:48Speaker 1: School in Quantico, Virginia. A quick answer from Evan. You
- 13:51Speaker 1: know this one. I saw it. You can see it.
- 14:01Speaker 1: You should leave your answer. I can't change my answer.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I think that's what you had. Evan just revealed his
- 14:07Speaker 1: answer to half of the room. What happens if I
- 14:09Speaker 1: saw it? Did you already write an answer? No, chesser
- 14:13Speaker 1: got any right yet. You can write anything. You can
- 14:16Speaker 1: write anything, but what you saw. You do whatever your
- 14:21Speaker 1: heart tells. I'll trust you. I would say there was
- 14:24Speaker 1: a like a seventy five fifty chance I would have
- 14:29Speaker 1: got that right on a guess. Okay, so so I'd
- 14:33Speaker 1: like to change, but I can't. But I wouldn't have changed.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Flip a coin, Chess, You do whatever your heart tells you.
- 14:39Speaker 1: You have one correct answer, Okay, if it's yellow, I
- 14:44Speaker 1: will write what Evan wrote. Okay, he's flipping in a
- 14:46Speaker 1: racer right now, one side of black, one side yellow. Yeah, Chess,
- 14:54Speaker 1: you go ahead and right down your answer. I really
- 14:57Speaker 1: want to know what's right again questioning the question is
- 15:01Speaker 1: what branch of the military teaches a foraging class at
- 15:05Speaker 1: the Basic School in Quantico, Virginia. Everybody have an answer,
- 15:11Speaker 1: Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Corey saying Marines,
- 15:14Speaker 1: Shawn saying Navy, Seth saying Army, Evan saying Marine, Steve
- 15:18Speaker 1: saying Air Force, were in saying Marines, and Chester saying Marines.
- 15:23Speaker 1: The correct answer is the Marines. The Basic School folks
- 15:29Speaker 1: started teaching this class in one The course involves a
- 15:33Speaker 1: one hour lecture on foraging, followed by a four hour
- 15:37Speaker 1: seminar where students butcher pigs, filet fish, and cook meat.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Did you have anything like that in your training, Evan,
- 15:45Speaker 1: where you guys talked about what what would be an example?
- 15:49Speaker 1: I mean I went through three different survival schools. So
- 15:52Speaker 1: and then in basic training they do like a little
- 15:56Speaker 1: you know, plan identifications. So you're not like sleeping and
- 15:59Speaker 1: poison eye I V. But um it whether or not
- 16:04Speaker 1: you're paying attention or not really is It comes out
- 16:07Speaker 1: later a couple of months if you can identify poison
- 16:10Speaker 1: IVY or not. But uh, survival school they go through
- 16:13Speaker 1: a lot of that, so survival, escape, resistance, and evasion
- 16:17Speaker 1: that that was like in depth. It was super fun too.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I think that's beneficial for marines to be learning how
- 16:23Speaker 1: to like butcher pigs, And yeah, I do. I think
- 16:26Speaker 1: I do because I think there's a there's a level
- 16:28Speaker 1: of um confidence that you get from being able to
- 16:32Speaker 1: have those skills, whether or not you utilize them or not,
- 16:35Speaker 1: there still is a significant amount of confidence that comes
- 16:38Speaker 1: from knowing that you can if you have to. But
- 16:42Speaker 1: most people never use those skills. They'll forget about them
- 16:45Speaker 1: in fifteen minutes after they take the course and they'll
- 16:48Speaker 1: probably never utilize them. But if you go on and
- 16:51Speaker 1: find yourself in a situation, you'll be at least a
- 16:53Speaker 1: little bit more comfortable. Question five The topic is hunting.
- 16:59Speaker 1: What fame? Miss six ft two inch Hunter admitted in
- 17:02Speaker 1: a Facebook post that he used to be an underwear model?
- 17:09Speaker 1: What famous? Six ft two inch hunter admitted in a
- 17:14Speaker 1: Facebook post that he used to be an underwear model.
- 17:17Speaker 1: A quick answer from Seth you know this one. He's
- 17:24Speaker 1: six two inches tall? What famous? Hunter admitted in a
- 17:30Speaker 1: Facebook post that he used to be an underwear model.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Does anybody besides Seth no this one. I think I do,
- 17:37Speaker 1: but I'm not sure. I just can't remember the first name.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I don't know who's Can you ask questions about this
- 17:46Speaker 1: six ft? Is he only known for hunting? You're not
- 17:49Speaker 1: gonna say anymore. Steve doesn't like people asking questions, and
- 17:54Speaker 1: I'm not six too. It's not Yanny, not the answer.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Does everybody have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 18:07Speaker 1: We have Corey saying your honest pitelis, Sean saying Jim Shocky,
- 18:11Speaker 1: set saying Jim Shocky, Evan without an answer, Steve saying
- 18:15Speaker 1: Shocky Karan without an answer, and Chester saying Justin Bowman.
- 18:20Speaker 1: The correct answer is Jim Shocky. On July seven, Shocky
- 18:25Speaker 1: posted a picture on Facebook of his nine four modeling
- 18:29Speaker 1: head shot. He got paid fifty dollars an hour for
- 18:32Speaker 1: regular jobs or seventy five dollars an hour for underwear modeling.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Shocky said, quote, needless to say with that face, I
- 18:40Speaker 1: got a lot of underwear jobs. There's a lot of
- 18:44Speaker 1: ways that could go. The great Jim Shocky used to
- 18:47Speaker 1: be an underwear model. Phil We are halfway through the
- 18:49Speaker 1: game of trivia. Give us a scoreboard update. Everyone is
- 18:53Speaker 1: on the board tied up in the fourth place slot,
- 18:56Speaker 1: we have Evan and Corey with one Chester and core
- 19:00Speaker 1: in or in third place with two points. Steven, Ronella
- 19:03Speaker 1: and Seth have three points apiece, and in first place
- 19:07Speaker 1: with four points, it's Sean Weaver. Sang start I won
- 19:13Speaker 1: the last time I was on. Yeah, my reward was
- 19:17Speaker 1: Chester finally gave me some of that barracout to meat
- 19:21Speaker 1: he stole. I'm just no, yeah, I have one last
- 19:29Speaker 1: time already stated that I do have in my freezer.
- 19:35Speaker 1: How when did you find it? Actually? How did you
- 19:38Speaker 1: know I had it the whole time? Steve told me
- 19:41Speaker 1: to give that to you, So I took it and
- 19:43Speaker 1: put it in my freeing. Okay, so one mystery solved.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Already stated that that's not what's that's not the mystery.
- 19:52Speaker 1: There was a heist here, great, it's we're bringing a
- 20:00Speaker 1: polygraph in your mind, Steve, what do you think happened?
- 20:05Speaker 1: Someone stole it? Like like I'm going to mess with
- 20:08Speaker 1: Steve and steal this fish and then not admit to
- 20:11Speaker 1: Do you think that's what happened? That is what happened.
- 20:14Speaker 1: How do you stole the fish and they haven't admitted
- 20:16Speaker 1: to it? But in my in my head, someone like
- 20:19Speaker 1: didn't know what they were grabbing and then grabbed it,
- 20:21Speaker 1: and now like don't even know that. They're like, oh
- 20:24Speaker 1: my bad. I thought that was all of my grouper
- 20:27Speaker 1: and style. I thought that was all my Kobe. I
- 20:31Speaker 1: thought that was from my Kobe a trip I was on,
- 20:35Speaker 1: So there's no confusion. I totally forgot that. I also
- 20:40Speaker 1: caught a nice triple tail. They had a good haul.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Then they got all that like high grade fish. Dude, man,
- 20:47Speaker 1: maybe there's like a black market, would you like look
- 20:49Speaker 1: at Facebook marketplace? No Question six, get that polygraph and
- 20:54Speaker 1: here I'm gonna find out I have one. I'll bring
- 20:57Speaker 1: it up. You do. Yeah, I got it from my kids.
- 21:00Speaker 1: How's that work? Well, somebody in this room has contracts
- 21:06Speaker 1: for their children. There is also a polygraph. Question six.
- 21:20Speaker 1: The topic is gear. This next great question comes to
- 21:23Speaker 1: us via Steve Dopel. If you have a question you
- 21:25Speaker 1: think is right from Meat Eater Trivia, you can send
- 21:27Speaker 1: it to Trivia at the meat Eator dot com. The
- 21:30Speaker 1: two forty three Winchester to sixty Remington's and seven mm
- 21:34Speaker 1: O eight Remington are offspring of what popular parent case.
- 21:42Speaker 1: The two forty three Winchester to sixty Remington's and seven
- 21:46Speaker 1: mm o eight Remington's are offspring of what popular parent case.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I'm looking for you to name the cartridge that those
- 21:55Speaker 1: came from. No quick answers in the room. Chest here,
- 22:01Speaker 1: how you feel about this one? Okay, you got it.
- 22:04Speaker 1: That's really confusing, man, But that's really confusing. All all
- 22:10Speaker 1: three of the two three Winchester to sixty Remington's and
- 22:16Speaker 1: seven mm o eight Remington's are offspring of what popular
- 22:20Speaker 1: parent case. When those were developed, they were developed using
- 22:25Speaker 1: the case of this other cartridge, and that is called
- 22:28Speaker 1: the parent case. Evan, you know this one. Nope, she's
- 22:34Speaker 1: got a reasonable guess. Let me not have a guess
- 22:37Speaker 1: whether or not it's reasonable. Good dude, I'm struggling, man.
- 22:43Speaker 1: It's how you're classifying the definition of parent case. I
- 22:46Speaker 1: don't I don't know. Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 22:49Speaker 1: We have Corey saying three O eight, Shawn saying to seventies,
- 22:52Speaker 1: says saying, Evan saying thirty, col Steve saying exactly in
- 23:00Speaker 1: without an answer, and what you're saying to seventy we
- 23:03Speaker 1: have a correct answer in the room. It's the three
- 23:05Speaker 1: o A Winchester, So that that's so, that's my point
- 23:11Speaker 1: is like the three oh eight on what parent case?
- 23:14Speaker 1: So if it's a three O eight specific round, and
- 23:16Speaker 1: if we're developing it specifically from thirty cow, which is
- 23:20Speaker 1: when I was generalizing there necking down that can you
- 23:23Speaker 1: understand that? So that's what I'm saying. Are we doing
- 23:25Speaker 1: it from thirty at six or we're doing it from
- 23:27Speaker 1: three o? Are we doing it from seven six to buy?
- 23:30Speaker 1: What's the parent Is it the thirty cow in the
- 23:32Speaker 1: sense of specifically three totally different? I understand that I'm saying,
- 23:39Speaker 1: are we looking at it from thirty cow? Is like
- 23:42Speaker 1: the parent cal That's what I'm saying, is that the
- 23:45Speaker 1: parent case. That's why I'm saying parent case. That's why
- 23:51Speaker 1: I was general But when you look at the birth
- 23:54Speaker 1: of these cartridges, they were all birth from the three
- 23:56Speaker 1: O eight case. I would give it to you. You're
- 23:59Speaker 1: gonna give me. I'm looking at it there. It could
- 24:02Speaker 1: be like I think, is in fourth place right now,
- 24:08Speaker 1: so we'll give them the correct I'm saying thirty cow
- 24:11Speaker 1: is at the parent case and not in the thirty
- 24:14Speaker 1: cow in general. Like that's what I'm saying general like
- 24:17Speaker 1: thirty cow, not thirty caliber. Who had it right? Gunwriter
- 24:24Speaker 1: Ron Spomer described the three Away at Winchester as one
- 24:27Speaker 1: of the hardest working, most versatile parent cases, with bullet
- 24:30Speaker 1: weight spanning from forty grains to two hundred fifty grains.
- 24:34Speaker 1: The three Away at Winchester family haunts everything from prairie
- 24:36Speaker 1: dogs to moose. Question seven, The topic is cooking. The
- 24:43Speaker 1: American version of Hungary's national dish is made with ground meat, elbow,
- 24:49Speaker 1: macaroni and tomato paste. What is it? The American version
- 24:56Speaker 1: of Hungary's national dish is made with ground meat, elbow, macaroni's,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and tomato paste. What is it? Quick answers from everybody,
- 25:07Speaker 1: I think, except Evan. You know this one. Evan, sure,
- 25:11Speaker 1: you gotta keep it yourself there, buddy. Come on, man,
- 25:16Speaker 1: Chest you're still thinking grin you know this? Go ahead
- 25:20Speaker 1: and reveal your answers. Corey saying googlesh goulash, Set saying
- 25:25Speaker 1: Hamburger Helper saying hungry Helper. Chester, You're saying Hamburger Helper.
- 25:38Speaker 1: The correct is go hungry. He's got to be something, dude,
- 25:45Speaker 1: because three of us at Hamburger Helper was Hungary and
- 25:54Speaker 1: that's that's really good, helper guess. Hungarian goulash is a
- 26:07Speaker 1: soup or stew of meat and vegetables that are heavily
- 26:10Speaker 1: seasoned with paprika. The American version usually leaves out the veggies,
- 26:15Speaker 1: but ants, pasta, and cheese. If you want to try
- 26:18Speaker 1: the American version, go to the meat eat dot com
- 26:20Speaker 1: and check out Jenny Wheatley's recipe for venison goulash, or
- 26:24Speaker 1: go to Walmart gets some hamburger helper hungary Helper that
- 26:31Speaker 1: makes sense to me? Is that a staple in your house?
- 26:33Speaker 1: Steve No, But every time the subject I actually have
- 26:36Speaker 1: on my phone, I could prove him. I felt like
- 26:39Speaker 1: a thing called like things to make my kids would like.
- 26:43Speaker 1: And every time goulash comes up, I think I'm gonna
- 26:46Speaker 1: put it in there because I think they've had it.
- 26:48Speaker 1: M I did love it. Do they like? Put it
- 26:53Speaker 1: in there right now? Yeah? I think hung Iowa thing.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, I feel like it's like my Erman
- 27:00Speaker 1: family ate a lot of google wash that was like
- 27:02Speaker 1: a ground meat staple. I know what's in here right now? Yes,
- 27:06Speaker 1: on the list of things I need to make for
- 27:07Speaker 1: my kids, homemade donuts, which I have made them in
- 27:09Speaker 1: a long time. Uh, biscuits and gravy, which I haven't
- 27:12Speaker 1: made them. They've never had that crunch wrap supremes. Oh
- 27:17Speaker 1: that's my special And I just had a googlesh. You
- 27:19Speaker 1: know what's great is everything you describe you can get
- 27:21Speaker 1: a recipe for on our website, except for doughnuts. I
- 27:23Speaker 1: don't think we have downuts. Well we buy when I would,
- 27:25Speaker 1: you know, you buy those tubes of that dough you know,
- 27:29Speaker 1: it's like who makes that stuff? You wave it on
- 27:32Speaker 1: the corner and unravel it. Just take those and cut
- 27:35Speaker 1: a hole in them and then deep from them and
- 27:39Speaker 1: then put powdered sugar on them. Kids love it. I
- 27:43Speaker 1: think the reason why I didn't get Google is because
- 27:45Speaker 1: everyone in Wisconsin would classify that dish under a casserole
- 27:50Speaker 1: or a hot dish. Hey do you guys in Wisconsin?
- 27:54Speaker 1: Do you say casserole or hot dish? Most of the time?
- 27:57Speaker 1: What do you say casserole? Yeah? Now what's the parent dish? Hungary? Help?
- 28:10Speaker 1: But like everything they make is a variation of good
- 28:12Speaker 1: loses totally. Question. The topic is public Lands. This is
- 28:17Speaker 1: our listener Question of the Week, which was won by
- 28:20Speaker 1: p J. Sirianni for sending this great question. PJ is
- 28:23Speaker 1: going to get a signed copy of Meat Eater Adventures
- 28:27Speaker 1: from the Life of an American Hunter. If you want
- 28:29Speaker 1: a chance to win the listener Question of the Week,
- 28:31Speaker 1: then send your question to Trivia at the meat eator
- 28:32Speaker 1: dot com. What are public lands called in Canada? What
- 28:41Speaker 1: are public lands called in Canada? This is question eight.
- 28:45Speaker 1: We will get a scoreboard update from Phil after this.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Not like seeing him be that happen a very confidence
- 28:53Speaker 1: wrote it down, slammed his board, and then looked in
- 28:55Speaker 1: the eyes of shock to let him know I'm already
- 28:58Speaker 1: to change all my socket roller used the sucker shot
- 29:03Speaker 1: one more time? What are public lands called in Canada? Seth?
- 29:08Speaker 1: You look like you knew this? Oh man, I recently
- 29:15Speaker 1: heard it, but I don't know if I'm I just
- 29:18Speaker 1: recently heard it on a podcast or something. Is anybody
- 29:20Speaker 1: here hunted Canada? I assume you have Steve and Sean.
- 29:24Speaker 1: I assume you've got quite a bit of time up
- 29:25Speaker 1: there on waterfowl stuff. That's all private land. Man. Does
- 29:31Speaker 1: everybody have an answer? What movie am I doing right now?
- 29:34Speaker 1: Here's a tribute question for you? Fine, I'm not complimended,
- 29:41Speaker 1: all go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Corey
- 29:44Speaker 1: without an answer, Sean saying Queensland, Seth saying Royal Lands,
- 29:48Speaker 1: Evans sang moose Fill, Steve saying crown Lands, sang allotment,
- 29:54Speaker 1: and Chester you're saying parks something. Steve, got it, You're
- 30:00Speaker 1: the right there. I was going something like that. Canada
- 30:06Speaker 1: is crown Land. This is commonly. This is a commonly
- 30:09Speaker 1: used moniker in countries with a monarch. Other places with
- 30:13Speaker 1: crown land include Australia, Austria, France, Poland, Spain, Vietnam, Hong Kong,
- 30:19Speaker 1: and even Hawaii. Just like in America, these spaces serve
- 30:22Speaker 1: a variety of purposes like hunting, fishing, hiking, mining, logging, grazing,
- 30:27Speaker 1: and more. They'll give us a scoreboard update. We have
- 30:30Speaker 1: two questions left. Well, that's right and I everyone except
- 30:36Speaker 1: for Evan and Chester are still in the game. Evan
- 30:40Speaker 1: and Chester have two points apiece, Karin, Corey, and Seth.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I'll have three points, and then Steve and Sean are
- 30:49Speaker 1: tied with five points in first place. Were the Shelby Index,
- 30:55Speaker 1: there would be US six And we got two questions left.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Question nine. The topic is fishing. What Rocky Mountain state
- 31:03Speaker 1: has a fishing blade named after it that's commonly used
- 31:07Speaker 1: on worm harnesses and spinner baits. What Rocky Mountain state
- 31:13Speaker 1: has a fishing blade named after it that's commonly used
- 31:16Speaker 1: on worm harnesses and spinner baits. Chester, you you have
- 31:21Speaker 1: to know this a quick answer from Seth and Sean Chester.
- 31:27Speaker 1: His jaw is on the floor because you can't think
- 31:29Speaker 1: of the answer. Steve, how you feel about this one? Chester?
- 31:32Speaker 1: More trolling anyone in this room? I'm gonna I don't
- 31:35Speaker 1: want to tell people my approach. I don't know. Okay,
- 31:38Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm working through it though, looking for
- 31:40Speaker 1: a Rocky Mountain state has a fishing blade named after it? Chat,
- 31:46Speaker 1: I know you know what it's in that Brainiers it's
- 31:49Speaker 1: in there. Listen for the whisper. It sounds like Karen
- 31:57Speaker 1: Great Rocky Mountain state of Minnesota. Does everybody have an answer?
- 32:03Speaker 1: What the heck? I no, I'm going to be really
- 32:06Speaker 1: you better just write down the state. If you ain't
- 32:08Speaker 1: got one, well it would I think if I knew
- 32:11Speaker 1: it, it it would just Steve, you got an answer? You know? Well?
- 32:16Speaker 1: I mean I wrote one down, but no, I'm not
- 32:17Speaker 1: feeling cocky, what are you are you adding this set? Yeah,
- 32:21Speaker 1: about which we're down there, but I'm trying to stay
- 32:28Speaker 1: on a hot streak. Here, go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 32:30Speaker 1: We had Corey saying Colorado, Sean saying Colorado, Says saying Colorado,
- 32:34Speaker 1: Evan saying Colorado, Steve saying Colorado, Grand saying everyone says Colorado,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and they got it. The correct answer is Colorado. Colorado
- 32:44Speaker 1: blairs are more stout than other types of spinners, creating
- 32:48Speaker 1: a slower rotation and heavier vibration. According to Walley Supply
- 32:53Speaker 1: dot com, Colorado blades are their number one selling type
- 32:56Speaker 1: of spinner. They're also Idaho blades, which are created placing
- 33:00Speaker 1: a Colorado blade on an elongated snap loop. You know,
- 33:05Speaker 1: I think you messed up? What's up? Just to be
- 33:08Speaker 1: frank okay um, I think that you The reason you
- 33:13Speaker 1: got the answer you did is because you said rocky
- 33:15Speaker 1: mountain state. Mm hmmm, because that's just not a thing
- 33:19Speaker 1: that people say unless they're like John Denver fans. Everybody
- 33:24Speaker 1: in this room is sick. That's why Colorado says, like, oh,
- 33:35Speaker 1: Idaho a rocky mountain state. It's like Colorado's really branded
- 33:40Speaker 1: that ship man. But here here's what I had to
- 33:43Speaker 1: be specific. Indiana has a blade named after Okay, I
- 33:48Speaker 1: could easily solve those two for you. West of the Mississippi,
- 33:51Speaker 1: west of the Great Bend in the Missouri. Everything Steve's
- 33:55Speaker 1: talking about never entered my mind for a second. It
- 33:58Speaker 1: did too, because you knew it. Rocky Mountain to Rocky Mountain.
- 34:05Speaker 1: When Steve me ask a technical question because of the Idaho,
- 34:11Speaker 1: would you okay? Because because then I don't think anybody
- 34:15Speaker 1: there's only one. I think it's Yaka mless supply cells
- 34:18Speaker 1: Idaho blades. So it's like not very well known. But
- 34:20Speaker 1: if you did know that and you said Idaho, I'd
- 34:22Speaker 1: give it to you. When Colorado, yeah, when he said
- 34:27Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you my approach, I was like,
- 34:29Speaker 1: he's put in Colorado because it makes sense with Rocky Mountain.
- 34:32Speaker 1: So this all comes down to the final question one
- 34:34Speaker 1: more time, Phil just did he did he die? Crash?
- 34:38Speaker 1: Always confuse him and Sonny Bono die and one of
- 34:41Speaker 1: them died skiing and one of them died flying experimental plane. Yeah,
- 34:46Speaker 1: it's full of ship I mean it's down to Sean
- 34:50Speaker 1: and Steve, who have six points apiece. Nobody has five.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Nobody has five, Okay, Sean and Steve, we could go
- 34:57Speaker 1: to a tiebreaker. I gave you a good tiebreak with
- 34:59Speaker 1: the other day to try. We haven't had a tiebreaker
- 35:01Speaker 1: in a good long time. Question ten. The topic is
- 35:06Speaker 1: deer camp. This Logger, which calls itself the Official Beer
- 35:11Speaker 1: of the American Sportsman. Logger LA Logger, which calls itself
- 35:18Speaker 1: the official Beer of the American Sportsman, usually comes in
- 35:22Speaker 1: red cans that feature wildlife on them. This Logger, which
- 35:28Speaker 1: calls itself the official Beer of the American Sportsman, usually
- 35:32Speaker 1: comes in red cans that feature wildlife on them. Fairly
- 35:38Speaker 1: confident looking Steve Sean has yet to write anything down though, Steve,
- 35:44Speaker 1: you think you got it? Fine, m you don't think
- 35:48Speaker 1: you got it. There's two different red cans, and I
- 35:53Speaker 1: just just just think to yourself, well, no one else
- 35:57Speaker 1: has a shot. That's go on, and it is They
- 36:02Speaker 1: called themselves the official beer of the American Sportsman. Does
- 36:06Speaker 1: everybody have an answer? Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 36:09Speaker 1: We got Corey saying Bud, wise, Sehn saying ham Seth
- 36:12Speaker 1: saying Old Milwaukee Evans saying Bud. Steve saying Old Mill,
- 36:17Speaker 1: Kribin saying rain near chest, you're saying Old Milwaukee. For
- 36:22Speaker 1: you reveal the answer, I'll tell you a funny story.
- 36:23Speaker 1: I've never heard of the beer Old Mill. I like, uh, come,
- 36:30Speaker 1: and everybody's hanging on the edge of their seats. Who's
- 36:34Speaker 1: that poet that roll Jabberwockie. It's like a famous poet
- 36:37Speaker 1: poem you read in high school Lewis Carroll. Well, so
- 36:41Speaker 1: when I was in high school, in Mr. Heaton's class
- 36:43Speaker 1: in tenth grade, you had to write a poem set
- 36:48Speaker 1: to Jabberwocke, So you had to take the same rhyme
- 36:52Speaker 1: scheme and pentameter, and I did one called Bonfire Burning Waukee. No, dang.
- 37:00Speaker 1: The thing I'm most jealous of in life is the
- 37:03Speaker 1: kid that came up with the idea to do Old Milwaukee.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Oh that's good, that's great. So that's how you know
- 37:08Speaker 1: this one? No, I just aw that. But I think
- 37:11Speaker 1: it's old Milk, because if that's how you knew this,
- 37:13Speaker 1: I would be pissed. That's the age thing because they
- 37:16Speaker 1: had branded themselves this way. But I think this is
- 37:18Speaker 1: an reininvention. It was a reinvention of the brand. If
- 37:21Speaker 1: I'm not mistaken. The tension has built either the correct
- 37:24Speaker 1: answer it's Schmidt. Schmidt's cans have featured shrout, pheasants, white tails, grizzlies,
- 37:37Speaker 1: black bear, elk, analope, geese, muskie, bison, pike, and more.
- 37:41Speaker 1: The beer has changed ownership multiple times since it's creation
- 37:44Speaker 1: in eighteen four, but today it's brewed by Paps Brewing
- 37:49Speaker 1: in Milwaukee. I think it's now brewed in San Antonio
- 37:54Speaker 1: that has wildlife on it. Yeah, it was six a
- 38:01Speaker 1: camel can during deer season bush. A lot of people
- 38:05Speaker 1: used to do it. Bush does it bushes like the
- 38:08Speaker 1: O G camel can though right, I don't know. In college,
- 38:12Speaker 1: we'd always go after the keys dilopes. We were such
- 38:15Speaker 1: suckers for these gimmicks that these beers would do. They
- 38:18Speaker 1: would have the mounted thing in the box and had
- 38:20Speaker 1: to get the golden can and have the trout on it.
- 38:24Speaker 1: That then you then like put on your wall and
- 38:25Speaker 1: that was your decoration and then your then your house
- 38:28Speaker 1: would have like the whole set of gold cans, the
- 38:33Speaker 1: gold can thing they did those. I remember I got
- 38:35Speaker 1: I got a gold can one time and I was like,
- 38:37Speaker 1: I'm going to save this forever and then the next
- 38:40Speaker 1: time we ran out of beer, I drank it. Yeah,
- 38:43Speaker 1: I lost my gold bush can. I took it with
- 38:46Speaker 1: me through one move from Vermillion, South Dakota to Sioux Fall.
- 38:52Speaker 1: Going from South Dakota to Montana, I lost it. So
- 38:55Speaker 1: I had it for a good long time. We're going
- 38:58Speaker 1: to overtime play. The drop fill not doesn't make any
- 39:06Speaker 1: sense at all. The first your lad, you can be second,
- 39:09Speaker 1: you can be third, fourth, out five. The tiebreaker will
- 39:15Speaker 1: be a numerical question. Whoever is closest between Steve and
- 39:19Speaker 1: Sean will be declared the winner. The topic is gear.
- 39:24Speaker 1: What is the average price for a twenty two long
- 39:28Speaker 1: rifle round in August? I got this number by taking
- 39:33Speaker 1: the average of over ninety listings online from some of
- 39:37Speaker 1: the world's biggest AMMO dealers. So looking for the average
- 39:41Speaker 1: price of a twenty two long rifle round in August
- 39:45Speaker 1: and write it with a decimal place. Just one round,
- 39:50Speaker 1: just one singular twenty two bullet? What does that cost?
- 39:56Speaker 1: Write it to a decimal place. Again, got this number
- 40:00Speaker 1: by looking at ninety listings over ninety listings online from
- 40:05Speaker 1: some of the biggest AMMO dealers in the world. Steve
- 40:10Speaker 1: a lot of right and how you feeling about this?
- 40:13Speaker 1: I'm in the ballpark this question. We're splitting hairs on
- 40:17Speaker 1: this one. We haven't gotten to overtime in so long
- 40:19Speaker 1: that this was about to be a not relevant question anymore. Oh,
- 40:24Speaker 1: how long ago did you collect this? August got an answer,
- 40:31Speaker 1: keep I do? I did. I did like some math,
- 40:34Speaker 1: but I don't with them looking at it, I don't like.
- 40:37Speaker 1: If the rest of the room wants to play along,
- 40:39Speaker 1: you can also write something. We'll we'll hear your answers
- 40:41Speaker 1: to you to see who did get the closer. I
- 40:43Speaker 1: think my saving grace here might be that I was
- 40:45Speaker 1: listening to the marriage episode and it sounds like you're
- 40:48Speaker 1: pretty bad at mental math. Down he did do the
- 40:55Speaker 1: conversion on the first question of table spoons and tea spoons.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Good An, you steve for no and that all of
- 41:00Speaker 1: those were the same. Everybody have an answer. Go ahead
- 41:06Speaker 1: and reveal your answers. We'll look at the non competitors first.
- 41:10Speaker 1: There's a huge split between me and Sean, which is great.
- 41:13Speaker 1: We have you're saying, not even we have saying his
- 41:19Speaker 1: thirty eight cents, saying eleven point three cents. Corey saying
- 41:24Speaker 1: sixty nine cents. Nice, Chester're saying seventy five cents. And
- 41:28Speaker 1: then our two competitors left. We have Sean saying eight
- 41:31Speaker 1: cents and Steve saying that's eight. He's saying eight. I
- 41:35Speaker 1: thought he's saying, like, okay, you're saying eight cents eight cents,
- 41:40Speaker 1: and Steve, I'm high, but but it's it's high right now.
- 41:45Speaker 1: And our winner of meat Eat or Trivia is Steve.
- 41:54Speaker 1: The correct answer was seventeen point six cents. See, you
- 42:00Speaker 1: guys were right by a penny eight seven. You know
- 42:07Speaker 1: what really pisses me off as I had ten cents.
- 42:10Speaker 1: And then who is closest? Yeah, Steve. Steve was closer
- 42:14Speaker 1: because it's about nine and something sense between Shawn's answer
- 42:17Speaker 1: and the correct one, and he was seventeen seventeen point
- 42:20Speaker 1: six cents. He's it's been seven point four cents. What
- 42:24Speaker 1: are our rules on who we donate to? Because in
- 42:27Speaker 1: honor of Evan being here, I want to donate to
- 42:29Speaker 1: Evan's favorite veterans organization, But we have rules about how
- 42:32Speaker 1: it needs to be like a conservation based nonprofit and
- 42:36Speaker 1: they do something that's anywhere anything close to our universe
- 42:40Speaker 1: of hunting fishing, conservation, cooking, Go ahead and donate to them.
- 42:43Speaker 1: You gotta tell me what it is though. It's called
- 42:46Speaker 1: Hunter seven, which is a veterans organization that we donate
- 42:48Speaker 1: to all the time. They don't do anything hunting related,
- 42:50Speaker 1: but it does a Hunter seven in it, which is
- 42:53Speaker 1: related to veteran toxicity and exposure to heavy metals and
- 42:58Speaker 1: chemicals overseas. Has nothing to do with hunting. Yeah, but
- 43:01Speaker 1: it's Hunter seven. Whatever you want, So if it's has
- 43:06Speaker 1: Hunter in it, I want to. I'm going to donate
- 43:08Speaker 1: to an honor of Evan joining us and his in
- 43:11Speaker 1: his advocacy for veterans. I'm going to vote for an organization.
- 43:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna put my money to an organization that you
- 43:18Speaker 1: guys put backing into, which is and we'll match it
- 43:22Speaker 1: a Hunters seven Sons seven. It's got the word Hunters
- 43:26Speaker 1: in it. It's a veterans organization. They do a lot
- 43:30Speaker 1: of great work. Huge percentage there, uh well, uh overwhelmingly
- 43:35Speaker 1: a percentage goes back to screening for heavy medical, heavy metals,
- 43:39Speaker 1: chemicals and things like that that veterans have been exposed
- 43:42Speaker 1: to and deployments in either Irack Afghanistan directly related to
- 43:45Speaker 1: burn pits, which leads to over a three increase in
- 43:51Speaker 1: cancers and veterans related to their peer group. So it's
- 43:55Speaker 1: a big issue for guys like me that have been
- 43:57Speaker 1: overseas a lot. Uh, It's something that's on the forefront
- 44:00Speaker 1: of our mind all the time, which is am I
- 44:02Speaker 1: going to come up with a random cancer because based
- 44:05Speaker 1: on would have been exposed to in combat. So it's
- 44:07Speaker 1: not just combat that'll kill you. It might be a
- 44:08Speaker 1: bunch of other ship too. I like it. Now, even
- 44:10Speaker 1: before we get out of here, is there anything new
- 44:12Speaker 1: and exciting happening a black Rifle coffee that our listening
- 44:15Speaker 1: should know about. There's always tons of really cool stuff
- 44:18Speaker 1: that's going on in a black rifle coffee. But we're
- 44:21Speaker 1: doing the episode which our I did an episode with
- 44:23Speaker 1: Steve he can talk about. We're also doing this collap
- 44:28Speaker 1: so we're doing a colab coffee between Black Rifle coffee,
- 44:31Speaker 1: Meat Eater pack out coffee, which is a well, the
- 44:35Speaker 1: design is awesome that it's great out the unicorn exactly quick.
- 44:40Speaker 1: It's a it's a awesome bag design, it's a great coffee.
- 44:43Speaker 1: So it's a uh South American. Well, I can go
- 44:48Speaker 1: into the specifics of it. But it's a Colombian Arabica bean.
- 44:52Speaker 1: It's it's uh, single origin Colombian Arabica. So it's a
- 44:57Speaker 1: medium roast for Steve specification. So it's not too dark,
- 45:01Speaker 1: it's not too light. Right in the middle, right in
- 45:03Speaker 1: the middle. Evan, wasn't that told me this would be
- 45:06Speaker 1: a good tribute question for you? Does light roast or
- 45:08Speaker 1: dark roast have more caffeine? Light rust? I didn't know
- 45:11Speaker 1: that he told me that. Uh, for the So we're
- 45:17Speaker 1: launching so the first episode of our most recent season
- 45:21Speaker 1: to meet there were features Evan, hey for we're hunting
