- 1:34Speaker 7: Welcome back to another episode of PCW podcast Championship Wrestling.
- 1:37Speaker 7: I am your host, Wayne also known as Semi Dried Chicken,
- 1:41Speaker 7: and we are going to be reviewing SummerSlam of twenty
- 1:44Speaker 7: twenty four. Man, it was something else. We finally got
- 1:50Speaker 7: belt changes, we finally got returns. We we it felt
- 1:56Speaker 7: like a minor minor wrestle Media, minor WrestleMania with the
- 2:01Speaker 7: tennis record of fifty seven thousand people. It was pretty good.
- 2:05Speaker 1: But you know what I I like that when they
- 2:08Speaker 1: announced that, they immediately played a song called Liar, which
- 2:11Speaker 1: is kind of fairy there notorious for fudging the numbers.
- 2:17Speaker 7: Very true. All right, well let me bring in the cast.
- 2:20Speaker 7: Here we go, let bringing the host.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Ja welcome back, Boddy, Yo Yo, what did do PCW
- 2:57Speaker 3: crew SummerSlam?
- 2:59Speaker 6: Dude?
- 3:01Speaker 7: Did you enjoy this Summer Slam overall?
- 3:07Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I actually thought it was a really
- 3:10Speaker 3: good one. I think it's one of the better Summer
- 3:12Speaker 3: slams that they've done in quite some time.
- 3:15Speaker 7: Right, Like, like they are working up to making Summer
- 3:18Speaker 7: Slam very very important, getting it, get it ready for
- 3:21Speaker 7: that two day appearance, you know, and we're gonna have
- 3:24Speaker 7: in twenty twenty six, So they're trying to make it. Hey,
- 3:28Speaker 7: Summer Slam is very important, very very important. We're gonna
- 3:32Speaker 7: elevate this pay per view over Survivior series, over the
- 3:36Speaker 7: Royal Rumble. But it's gonna be right under WrestleMania as
- 3:43Speaker 7: it should be, as it should be. I agree, but uh,
- 3:48Speaker 7: I can't believe it. But let's get him his name, man,
- 3:54Speaker 7: he appears.
- 3:56Speaker 8: I believe in Joe Hendry. I believe in Joe Hendry
- 4:03Speaker 8: because you love love embarised in Tokyo, America, Scotland and
- 4:09Speaker 8: Canada and Mexico. I believe in Joe Hendry. I believe
- 4:17Speaker 8: in Joe Hendry.
- 4:30Speaker 7: I believe in Doyle.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Oh it's me. It's me. It's a Doyley and guess
- 4:37Speaker 6: what he said my name?
- 4:38Speaker 1: And I appeared because I believe I met Joe Henry
- 4:42Speaker 1: this week.
- 4:43Speaker 7: Dude, is awesome. Tell tell us how you got there
- 4:47Speaker 7: where this was? Because to me, I'm on the discord
- 4:50Speaker 7: and I'm just enjoying my day, right, and then out
- 4:53Speaker 7: of nowhere, there you go. There there's a picture of
- 4:57Speaker 7: Doyle and Joe Hendry, Like, what the hell, I'm.
- 5:01Speaker 6: Afraid, I'm afraid. It's not that exciting.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It was just a meet and greet at a Dave
- 5:06Speaker 1: and Busters daven Busters.
- 5:08Speaker 7: I don't even know where the fucking David Busters is
- 5:10Speaker 7: even around here, or at least where I live.
- 5:12Speaker 6: But uh all he's one in South Philly. Yeah, so
- 5:15Speaker 6: like I guess it's technically center city. Actually.
- 5:18Speaker 7: Yeah, was there like a show going on or was
- 5:21Speaker 7: it other superstars just him or just him?
- 5:25Speaker 1: Like totally randomly? Really, I got there towards the end.
- 5:29Speaker 1: It was there for three hours. I got there at
- 5:31Speaker 1: the end.
- 5:31Speaker 6: There were about four people in line. I think he
- 5:35Speaker 6: must have he must have had a lot of people earlier,
- 5:39Speaker 6: because he seemed kind of out of it.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I sad and he signed my picture. Then we
- 5:46Speaker 1: took pictures and he's like, oh, did you want me
- 5:48Speaker 1: to sign something? And I'm like, uh, I think we
- 5:51Speaker 1: already did that. And he's like, oh, should we do
- 5:53Speaker 1: a picture and I'm like, yeah, we just did that.
- 5:56Speaker 7: Oh man.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And then I asked him to a bumper for the
- 5:58Speaker 1: show and he wouldn't. And that was pretty much the
- 6:02Speaker 1: extent of our interaction. Yeah, it's like you know, playing yeah, yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 1: And I mean I thought, if I don't do this now,
- 6:13Speaker 1: the next time he's in town, it's gonna be twice
- 6:15Speaker 1: as much to meet and greet with.
- 6:21Speaker 7: Yeah, because he's the type of guy I watched. I
- 6:24Speaker 7: watched one of his matches on XT the other night,
- 6:28Speaker 7: and just the charisma and the connection he had with
- 6:31Speaker 7: the crowd. I know it's a small crowd, right, it's NXT,
- 6:34Speaker 7: but the chance that they were doing to even working
- 6:39Speaker 7: up his signature to his finisher, there was chance. Uh,
- 6:43Speaker 7: it's just the hand motions, the he's got it all
- 6:47Speaker 7: right now. You know, as long as this guy can
- 6:50Speaker 7: keep this momentum going and and it transfers to the
- 6:54Speaker 7: main roster, because sometimes we see like gimmicks like this
- 6:57Speaker 7: are so hot in NXT and then you take to
- 7:00Speaker 7: the main roster not so hot to kind of cool
- 7:02Speaker 7: off because now.
- 7:03Speaker 5: You're translate to NXT first because.
- 7:07Speaker 7: He's still in Impact. Yeah, exactly, That's what I mean.
- 7:11Speaker 7: Like I I I just think this guy's gonna get
- 7:14Speaker 7: bigger and bigger in Doyle, like you said that he
- 7:16Speaker 7: had like four people in his line. I mean, let's
- 7:18Speaker 7: let's fast forward right right, but like let's fast forward
- 7:23Speaker 7: the clocks a little bit. Let's say like three to
- 7:26Speaker 7: five years, you know, or do you think his lines
- 7:29Speaker 7: are going to be small? Do you think this guy's
- 7:31Speaker 7: gonna be a lot bigger of a superstar by then?
- 7:33Speaker 7: Or is this gonna be a another guy that kind
- 7:37Speaker 7: of we all missed out on and maybe he gets
- 7:40Speaker 7: swept under the rug.
- 7:42Speaker 6: Well, I mean, it depends on what his TNA contract is.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I mean, he's not only is he on nctually every
- 7:49Speaker 1: week now he's winning matches, but apparently he's also allowed
- 7:53Speaker 1: to use the Performance Center whenever he wants, so he's
- 7:57Speaker 1: got some kind of work in relationship.
- 7:58Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It might be signed for t NA for the next
- 8:02Speaker 1: five years and they might just be like, uh, you
- 8:04Speaker 1: can use them.
- 8:05Speaker 6: But you ain't gonna to have him.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You know, I don't know what the future will hold
- 8:11Speaker 1: for our friend, but I mean it looks bright for sure.
- 8:14Speaker 7: You know.
- 8:14Speaker 6: I hope he can continue to harness.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Uh you know, all the all the the goodwill that
- 8:21Speaker 1: he's mustard over the past couple of weeks and months.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Man has a catchy fucking song.
- 8:27Speaker 7: No, I'll tell you that, dude. I find myself at
- 8:30Speaker 7: work just and I'm just randomly clapping. I mean, Doyle,
- 8:36Speaker 7: come on when you're when your music hits, I'm doing
- 8:39Speaker 7: the hands over the head clapping. And then at the
- 8:41Speaker 7: end when that solo hits, I I can't do. I
- 8:44Speaker 7: have to. I do the hand waving. I'm done, dude.
- 8:47Speaker 7: The air guitar, I'm doing it, dude, every damn time.
- 8:53Speaker 7: I mean, now, I love I like this the even
- 8:56Speaker 7: the new way they branded it with the letters together
- 8:58Speaker 7: look brilliant and TNA.
- 9:02Speaker 5: You know.
- 9:02Speaker 7: I like this NXT and TNA, you know, working together.
- 9:07Speaker 7: This is I think it's so cool, like this thing
- 9:10Speaker 7: if we were doing this years ago, years ago, but
- 9:13Speaker 7: Vince won't allow it. I mean, just you know, Impact
- 9:17Speaker 7: wrestling has been around for how long, you know, imagine
- 9:21Speaker 7: if they were very long. Imagine if they were to
- 9:25Speaker 7: share this kind of had this kind of relationship back then.
- 9:29Speaker 7: I mean that again you make you think you think
- 9:32Speaker 7: about it, would those superstars still have jumped to WW then?
- 9:36Speaker 6: But or there's a lot of questions with people that
- 9:40Speaker 6: have been released.
- 9:43Speaker 7: Yeah, right, Like imagine getting fired. Like let's say, oh,
- 9:48Speaker 7: I don't know, you work at like McDonald's, right, and
- 9:51Speaker 7: then you get fired from McDonald's, I want to go
- 9:53Speaker 7: work at Burger King. Cool, you go work at Burking Burkey's. Like, yo,
- 9:57Speaker 7: we're gonna combine Burger King McDonald's. Oh no, they do
- 10:01Speaker 7: that now, right, Oh they do that now with like
- 10:03Speaker 7: long John Silver's and like a Taco Bell, right, don't
- 10:06Speaker 7: they like put them together in one building. Imagine if
- 10:09Speaker 7: you were.
- 10:09Speaker 5: In KFC, Taco Bells parent company.
- 10:13Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, imagine work at KFC, getting fired and then
- 10:18Speaker 7: going over to Taco Bell getting hired, and then they're like, oh,
- 10:22Speaker 7: we're gonna put them together. You know this is a
- 10:25Speaker 7: little awkward. You see your guy your friends over there
- 10:28Speaker 7: from you know a guys Yeah, different shirt.
- 10:32Speaker 1: But like like would you be if you appeared on
- 10:36Speaker 1: say NXC, would he be Nick Nammouth.
- 10:38Speaker 6: Would he be dov Zeglar? Would he would we acknowledge
- 10:41Speaker 6: that they're the same person.
- 10:43Speaker 3: See that's the interesting thing about this whole agreement that
- 10:46Speaker 3: they've had so far is that they seem to have
- 10:49Speaker 3: made a very conscious effort not to have former WWE
- 10:54Speaker 3: wrestlers that are currently in TNA appear. Yet it's exclusive
- 11:00Speaker 3: of t n a uh talent that showed up in
- 11:04Speaker 3: n x T.
- 11:05Speaker 6: And it's specially been one way street right.
- 11:07Speaker 1: There hasn't been a whole lot of WWE people going
- 11:10Speaker 1: to I could be wrong about that.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I think shortly after it initially started they did have
- 11:17Speaker 3: a few people in n x T making appearance because
- 11:20Speaker 3: I think.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Like you ought to send like an AJ the n
- 11:23Speaker 1: X or the TNA, right with such a history.
- 11:26Speaker 3: There, Potentially I think, uh, well, well, AJ obviously did
- 11:31Speaker 3: the recent thing in Japan, but I don't know if
- 11:34Speaker 3: they It seems to be almost exclusively like t n
- 11:38Speaker 3: A and NXT for now. They haven't sent any main
- 11:41Speaker 3: roster w w E talent down there. And like I said,
- 11:45Speaker 3: they had the one girl from they sent somebody from
- 11:48Speaker 3: NXT to challenge Jordan Graci shortly after they had the
- 11:53Speaker 3: Jordan Gracy, Roxane Perez uh match where it was champion
- 11:57Speaker 3: versus champion. But other than that, like I said, it's
- 12:03Speaker 3: seems to be a very deliberate choice that, like, as
- 12:08Speaker 3: at least as of right now, we don't want any
- 12:11Speaker 3: of your current any TNA talent that used to work
- 12:14Speaker 3: for us, just people who are exclusively your talent that
- 12:19Speaker 3: our fans don't have a you know, a pre existing
- 12:22Speaker 3: connection to, and it's like just to try to build thatation. Yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 3: I think it's very a really hard thing because yeah, yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 3: if they were just using old WWE talent, then it
- 12:33Speaker 3: would just be like, okay, is this really a thing?
- 12:36Speaker 3: This is just WWE kind of just freeloading it or
- 12:39Speaker 3: borrowing their own old talent, probably for the super cheap
- 12:43Speaker 3: now since they're TNA as opposed to haveing to pay
- 12:46Speaker 3: them themselves, that would feel you know, very.
- 12:50Speaker 7: Dirty, I guess, yeah, I mean, And it's also like
- 12:54Speaker 7: just a quick reading one sentence, it could be like, oh,
- 12:58Speaker 7: nickname is formally no as Dolph Ziggler, you know, and
- 13:03Speaker 7: oh okay, But then again, I guess if you would
- 13:06Speaker 7: see dolphins, like yeah, we know who that is, Like
- 13:08Speaker 7: we definitely know who that is.
- 13:11Speaker 5: I do.
- 13:11Speaker 7: I there's some many, so many main roster people that'd
- 13:14Speaker 7: be so cool to go over, but A. J. Syles
- 13:17Speaker 7: is definitely one of them. Like he's like one of
- 13:19Speaker 7: those people who built that company. Like to have him
- 13:21Speaker 7: go over, that'd be big. I mean, that'd be more
- 13:25Speaker 7: of a w on impact wrestling side, especially the ratings,
- 13:28Speaker 7: you know. I mean, they can send Moose over, but
- 13:31Speaker 7: I mean, who's tuning in to see Moose on NXT? Anybody? Anybody? Uh? Yeah,
- 13:43Speaker 7: I mean there's a there's other wrestlers over there that
- 13:47Speaker 7: I'm sure they're gonna send over. I mean, they're the
- 13:49Speaker 7: rumors of the Hardy Boys maybe coming over because they
- 13:52Speaker 7: were talking they want to win the NXT titles because
- 13:54Speaker 7: they never won the NXT tag titles. So that rumor
- 13:58Speaker 7: going around.
- 13:59Speaker 3: And yeah, and I don't believe any of them because,
- 14:05Speaker 3: like I said, again, like I just said, it's been
- 14:08Speaker 3: almost exclusively TNA.
- 14:10Speaker 5: I think it's a deliberate choice on their end.
- 14:12Speaker 3: And meanwhile, the rumor mill has been spinning with every
- 14:16Speaker 3: former WWE person that's currently in TNA. There's a rumor
- 14:20Speaker 3: that this person might show up in NXC. There's a
- 14:22Speaker 3: rumor that this person, and you know, it's not a
- 14:24Speaker 3: single one of them has shown up.
- 14:26Speaker 5: So Party Boys could they pop up in n SC.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Maybe there's a not zero chance, but I also think
- 14:34Speaker 3: there's probably less than one percent chance of it happening
- 14:36Speaker 3: as well. I don't see any points to it. I
- 14:39Speaker 3: don't see any reason for it. They might talk about
- 14:42Speaker 3: it to create buzz, and yeah, it might make for
- 14:45Speaker 3: a good pop for NXC, but I don't think that's
- 14:47Speaker 3: the kind of working relationship that they have right now,
- 14:50Speaker 3: or that WW even wants to have right now.
- 14:54Speaker 5: I think this.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Is almost purely about you know, helping Well, I'm not
- 15:00Speaker 3: gonna sit there in act like you know, WW is
- 15:03Speaker 3: completely righteous in their motivations, but this seems to be
- 15:07Speaker 3: exclusively about developing talent. So like guys who are in TNA,
- 15:12Speaker 3: which you know, hard to call them developmental. These are
- 15:16Speaker 3: probably people who've been in the business for a minute
- 15:18Speaker 3: and are veterans to a certain extent, but aren't quite
- 15:24Speaker 3: necessarily WWE main roster level of talent. But being on TNA,
- 15:30Speaker 3: they can get that exposure, they can get that name recognition,
- 15:33Speaker 3: they can build themselves up, as we've clearly seen with
- 15:36Speaker 3: Jordan Gracie and Joe Hendry. So they that level of development,
- 15:40Speaker 3: which I think over time can help TNA. I don't
- 15:44Speaker 3: think it's doing it necessarily right now, but if TNA
- 15:47Speaker 3: had a better TV deal, I bet they'll probably be
- 15:50Speaker 3: working much better for them, Like if they were on
- 15:53Speaker 3: a network that everybody could see easily, because from my money,
- 15:59Speaker 3: I can't tell you what channel TNA comes on.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they've ebbed and flowed quite a bit
- 16:06Speaker 1: over the years.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Yeah, there used to be a time, yeah, back in
- 16:09Speaker 3: the stage when they were on like it was it
- 16:12Speaker 3: like Spike TV or something like that.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the more accessible as well, right, But I
- 16:17Speaker 1: mean there's been time. You know, perk Angle uh did
- 16:20Speaker 1: a lot of good work there, you know. J of
- 16:23Speaker 1: course we already said the broken Matt Hardy stuff. But
- 16:26Speaker 1: then they go into a complete obscurity for a few
- 16:28Speaker 1: years after that, and then all of a sudden, oh
- 16:30Speaker 1: there's a lot going on down there, maybe we should
- 16:31Speaker 1: check it out.
- 16:34Speaker 6: For years and years.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Pretty much when all the ogs left is when they
- 16:39Speaker 3: kind of just faded out of existence, Like when the
- 16:42Speaker 3: stings and the hogans and the halls and ashes and
- 16:44Speaker 3: angles and all those guys kind of left and weren't
- 16:48Speaker 3: feuding with you know, the the up and comings like
- 16:51Speaker 3: the AJ styles, the Chris dangles and such. Yeah, that's
- 16:55Speaker 3: probably what some people might consider peak TNA. But yeah,
- 17:01Speaker 3: now yeah, like I said, well now they I won't
- 17:06Speaker 3: say that.
- 17:08Speaker 5: Now. I think they just have a problem with accessibility.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I think that's, like I said, their biggest problem now
- 17:18Speaker 3: is people might be interested in seeing what's going on
- 17:21Speaker 3: there by proxy of what they're seeing from these people
- 17:25Speaker 3: on NXC.
- 17:28Speaker 5: A lot of people just might not know where to
- 17:31Speaker 5: watch it.
- 17:35Speaker 7: That's that's a great point. Yeah. Uh, let's get in
- 17:41Speaker 7: this pay per view guys, Uh, Trey, you want to
- 17:45Speaker 7: you want to take the wheel here? Talk about some
- 17:47Speaker 7: summer slam.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yeah, well, as who I wayn't already stated it took
- 17:53Speaker 3: place from Cleveland Brown Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. Fifty seven
- 17:57Speaker 3: thousand people almost fifty eight tuned in.
- 18:01Speaker 5: And before we.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Jump into these matches, let's just start with overall thoughts.
- 18:08Speaker 5: So what do I'll start off with you? What would
- 18:12Speaker 5: you rate this pay per view? Just overall? Just one
- 18:15Speaker 5: to ten thoughts on it?
- 18:17Speaker 6: That's a good question right off the bat.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I think I'd give it a a seven point four
- 18:26Speaker 1: out of ten.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Good, solid c C plus. You know, it was definitely.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Like a storyline show, right, So you didn't get a
- 18:38Speaker 1: lot of five star in ring matches, ring work matches,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and that's fine.
- 18:45Speaker 6: I did not like the main event. We'll get to that.
- 18:49Speaker 1: But the rest of the show I thought was pretty good.
- 18:52Speaker 1: You know, a couple of hiccups here and there, but overall,
- 18:54Speaker 1: pretty solid show and the best p LA or whatever
- 18:59Speaker 1: the hell we call it.
- 18:59Speaker 7: Now obsolutely yeah.
- 19:02Speaker 6: Uh, probably the best pay per view since Mania.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I would say, okay, uh, Wayne, would you rate this
- 19:13Speaker 3: pay per view?
- 19:14Speaker 7: I'm gonna give this a solid seven. I mean we
- 19:16Speaker 7: were going into this knowing most of these outcomes. We
- 19:22Speaker 7: were I feel like as fans, we were finally satisfied
- 19:26Speaker 7: with some title changes, uh, basically a change up from WrestleMania.
- 19:32Speaker 7: From a lot of these title changes we saw a
- 19:34Speaker 7: lot of from coming. A lot of these surprises we
- 19:37Speaker 7: kind of saw coming. We just didn't know how they
- 19:39Speaker 7: were gonna play out, even up to the return. We
- 19:42Speaker 7: kind of saw coming. But we enjoyed it all the way.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Uh.
- 19:46Speaker 7: Like Doyle said, there wasn't any like five star matches.
- 19:49Speaker 7: This was all about storylines playing out. There were a
- 19:54Speaker 7: handful of matches I really enjoyed. Uh, but yeah, dude,
- 19:59Speaker 7: like overall, and even the theme song to me wasn't
- 20:02Speaker 7: even that bad, So I agree with that.
- 20:08Speaker 5: I couldn't even tell you what the hell the theme
- 20:09Speaker 5: song was.
- 20:10Speaker 7: Liar, Oh, they played it right when Triple H came out.
- 20:16Speaker 5: He Uh, yep, that was bo was tuned out.
- 20:22Speaker 6: Yeah, why does what I mean? I get. I get
- 20:25Speaker 6: why Triple H came out at WrestleMania.
- 20:27Speaker 1: It's WrestleMania forty, it's his first, Vince's gone, but this
- 20:31Speaker 1: was like just another Summer Slam, right, Like, why do
- 20:34Speaker 1: we need Triple H to come out? It's like pro
- 20:37Speaker 1: wrestling is so dependent on suspension of disbelief and you
- 20:41Speaker 1: basically have the Wizard of Oz coming out before you've
- 20:44Speaker 1: even entered the Emerald City and telling you it's all
- 20:47Speaker 1: a show.
- 20:48Speaker 6: You know, It's kind of like, I don't know we
- 20:50Speaker 6: need to see I don't know.
- 20:51Speaker 1: If we need to be welcomed to everything by Triple H.
- 20:55Speaker 5: We maybe we probably don't.
- 20:57Speaker 3: But if their goal is to build Summer Slam up
- 21:02Speaker 3: to basically be the WrestleMania of the summer, then it
- 21:05Speaker 3: would make sense for him to come out and do this.
- 21:11Speaker 6: It just wasn't a.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I mean, if it was Summer Slam forty, I could
- 21:15Speaker 1: get it's it's you know, it's it's.
- 21:18Speaker 6: I don't know, I guess why forty. It just didn't
- 21:21Speaker 6: make sense here to me.
- 21:23Speaker 7: How often would Vince come out for big pay per
- 21:26Speaker 7: views and welcome to or Summer Slam.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty much just WrestleMania. That's the thing that they
- 21:36Speaker 3: always did, Like somebody would come out and say welcome
- 21:38Speaker 3: to WrestleMania.
- 21:39Speaker 5: You know, that's the whole kickoff.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Which again, if if their goal is to turn Summer
- 21:46Speaker 3: Slam into the WrestleMania of the summer, then we're probably
- 21:50Speaker 3: gonna get some parallels or some similarities between the two
- 21:53Speaker 3: where they start to marry each other. Like SummerSlam going
- 21:57Speaker 3: two nights in twenty twenty six, we might get Triple
- 22:00Speaker 3: As come out and say welcome to Summer Slam.
- 22:02Speaker 5: Man.
- 22:03Speaker 6: But it's that going to make WrestleMania less special.
- 22:06Speaker 7: I mean it already is because of the Saudi shows.
- 22:09Speaker 3: To me, I'm sorry, did you just say WrestleMania is
- 22:13Speaker 3: less special because the Saudi shows?
- 22:15Speaker 2: Well, like.
- 22:17Speaker 7: They're starting to make it Like to me, WrestleMania was
- 22:22Speaker 7: the one time year is very special. But they're trying
- 22:25Speaker 7: to raise those those I always thought those Saudi shows
- 22:29Speaker 7: to that level, like it was always like a Saudi
- 22:31Speaker 7: Mania basically, they were trying to make it on that cut.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I think they're trying to make the Saudis believe that
- 22:38Speaker 3: they're elevating it to WrestleMania level. But I don't think anybody,
- 22:43Speaker 3: especially over here in the States, looks at Crown Jewel
- 22:45Speaker 3: or their Saudi Super Show or whatever they want to
- 22:48Speaker 3: call it on these random year and think, oh, this
- 22:51Speaker 3: is a big deal. What match have they ever had
- 22:54Speaker 3: of any significance at any of those shows?
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean especially We're not more, but those were
- 23:02Speaker 1: Elsewhorld events, and at least the first.
- 23:05Speaker 7: Couple, you know, it was like Elseworld with.
- 23:09Speaker 6: The title, So let's make that happen.
- 23:12Speaker 7: It's like this don't count, Like.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Let's not forget last year they gave us Roman Reigns
- 23:18Speaker 3: versus Logan Paul.
- 23:22Speaker 6: At that show.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Nothing about that match says significance in any way, shape
- 23:29Speaker 3: or form. Like, No, to me, WrestleMania is still special.
- 23:34Speaker 3: WrestleMania is still WrestleMania and if if we're going to
- 23:39Speaker 3: talk about, you know, being special, I think, well, without
- 23:44Speaker 3: a question, WrestleMania is bigger now than it ever wasn't.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I think, if anything, it's probably more special now just
- 23:50Speaker 3: because of the how much, how much stature it has now,
- 23:55Speaker 3: how big of a deal it is now, the fact
- 23:57Speaker 3: that city's bid for it now, the fact that the
- 23:59Speaker 3: entire wrestling world converges on it now in that and
- 24:05Speaker 3: whatever city it's in.
- 24:06Speaker 5: I think it's the more special.
- 24:08Speaker 1: In a couple of years, when that's happening again four
- 24:11Speaker 1: months later, you know, does it takeaway from the first
- 24:16Speaker 1: You know, it's an open question.
- 24:18Speaker 6: I'm not saying I know the answer.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but it's a very valid question because it's
- 24:24Speaker 3: it's still to be determined what that how that happens.
- 24:29Speaker 3: I think it will depend on the caliber of matches.
- 24:33Speaker 5: That we have at SummerSlam.
- 24:36Speaker 3: I think what I think if we start to get
- 24:39Speaker 3: matches at SummerSlam that we look at and think, damn,
- 24:42Speaker 3: that's a WrestleMania level match, then we might say that, Okay,
- 24:47Speaker 3: this may be starting to diminish WrestleMania a bit.
- 24:51Speaker 5: But if we're still just getting like.
- 24:54Speaker 3: You know, major p l E level matches, you know,
- 24:59Speaker 3: something step up from you know, Backlash or money in
- 25:03Speaker 3: the Bank, but not quite WrestleMania. If it's still in
- 25:06Speaker 3: that in between phase, the SummerSlam will still just feel
- 25:11Speaker 3: like another big p l E. It'll feel like you know,
- 25:15Speaker 3: the one B to or the like the you know,
- 25:18Speaker 3: the number two to WrestleMania is number one.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Well, I will say that WrestleMania often feels like the
- 25:25Speaker 1: season finale, right, A lot of storylines that have been
- 25:28Speaker 1: going for a long time finally resolved themselves. Maybe you
- 25:32Speaker 1: get a couple of new new ones to start. This
- 25:35Speaker 1: was like a mid season finale, right, like all the bad,
- 25:39Speaker 1: all the good, all the bad.
- 25:40Speaker 6: Guys won for the most part. You know, it's uh,
- 25:44Speaker 6: you know you're ending on a cliffhanger.
- 25:46Speaker 1: What's gonna happen with the Judgment Day, what's gonna happen with.
- 25:49Speaker 6: With the bloodline? What?
- 25:51Speaker 1: You know, where the Punk and Drew and Seth go
- 25:53Speaker 1: from here? So hopefully if they can, if they can
- 25:57Speaker 1: make that distinction. But then again, are you gonna.
- 26:00Speaker 6: On the Summer Slam every year thinking all the good
- 26:02Speaker 6: guys are gonna lose? Because the SummerSlam, and that's what
- 26:04Speaker 6: happens in SummerSlam. That's any better?
- 26:10Speaker 7: Yeah, I remember as a child, I used to be
- 26:12Speaker 7: that for WrestleMania. All the good guys are gonna win
- 26:15Speaker 7: at WrestleMania, right right, right?
- 26:18Speaker 3: Usually I think, yeah, I think, at best, what the
- 26:23Speaker 3: best case scenario that could be WW you could have
- 26:26Speaker 3: with it is that SummerSlam. Excuse me, SummerSlam feels like
- 26:31Speaker 3: Infinity War, while Wrestlemedia feels like endgame. That's probably the
- 26:37Speaker 3: best that they can hope for, where SummerSlam feels like
- 26:40Speaker 3: a big deal and you know, we'll end some stories,
- 26:43Speaker 3: we may end on maybe some cliffhangers or something like that.
- 26:46Speaker 3: It'll feel, you know, like complete within itself, but we
- 26:51Speaker 3: know the big ultimate finale is still always going to
- 26:54Speaker 3: be WrestleMania.
- 26:58Speaker 7: Ah yeah, it's so true. Hey, I'm looking at like
- 27:04Speaker 7: some overhead shots of some of this you know, this arena.
- 27:08Speaker 7: It reminded me a lot like, uh, you know where
- 27:12Speaker 7: we went for WrestleMania, Lincoln Financial Field, how it was
- 27:15Speaker 7: open and everything, and how it was set up like
- 27:17Speaker 7: the ring and everything.
- 27:19Speaker 6: Well, one day I noticed.
- 27:21Speaker 1: They were tarped up, they were tapped off areas, huge
- 27:25Speaker 1: sections stopped off.
- 27:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I wonder what that was about.
- 27:31Speaker 7: Yeah, we didn't.
- 27:32Speaker 3: I'm guessing just SummerSlam. I don't think was technically a sellout,
- 27:37Speaker 3: was it?
- 27:38Speaker 7: I don't think so, because you know what though, because
- 27:41Speaker 7: he didn't come out, Triple A's didn't come out and
- 27:43Speaker 7: announce that they broke some record.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Oh no, it definitely is because they sold because Cleveland
- 27:49Speaker 3: brown Stadium has a capacity of about just over sixty
- 27:52Speaker 3: seven thousand and fifty seven thousand, So yeah, about one
- 28:00Speaker 3: thousand seats left over, and they damsel didn't break the
- 28:03Speaker 3: record because quick Search says that the record attendance at
- 28:08Speaker 3: Cleveland brown Stadium was seventy three thousand, seven hundred and
- 28:12Speaker 3: eighteen back in two thousand and two when they faced it. Therefore,
- 28:16Speaker 3: a Cleveland game versus the Steelers, Yeah, I.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Mean, I'm wondering if they just didn't get the influx
- 28:23Speaker 1: of out of town ors that they expected.
- 28:25Speaker 6: Maybe Cleveland is the biggest straw in the world. I
- 28:28Speaker 6: don't know.
- 28:29Speaker 1: They kept showing like those shots of the skyline and
- 28:32Speaker 1: it's like the least impressive fucking they have like five buildings.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, yeah, I will say football stadium. Cool
- 28:41Speaker 3: sell a whole bunch of tickets, you know, fifty seven k.
- 28:43Speaker 3: That's the laying nothing to sneeze at. But people were
- 28:46Speaker 3: really playing the summer trips to Cleveland.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Yeah you know, I mean you could put WrestleMania in
- 28:52Speaker 1: a landfill and I.
- 28:53Speaker 6: Think people would go to it, you know, right, Yeah,
- 28:58Speaker 6: we did the top.
- 28:59Speaker 7: Soel we were in.
- 29:01Speaker 5: Yeah, you're not wrong.
- 29:02Speaker 3: You can put that bitch in the middle of the
- 29:03Speaker 3: Atlantic Ocean and they would be fucking boats people all
- 29:07Speaker 3: over the place like Firefest.
- 29:11Speaker 7: Yeah, uh.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:18Speaker 7: Let's get into this first match.
- 29:21Speaker 3: So jumping into the first match, we had Live Morgan
- 29:26Speaker 3: defending her Women's World Championship against Ria Ripley with Dirty
- 29:32Speaker 3: Dumb at her side. I thought this was what It
- 29:39Speaker 3: was a good match to kick off the show, you know,
- 29:42Speaker 3: and it definitely set the tone for the evening that
- 29:47Speaker 3: we're getting storylines that this is a very story driven
- 29:52Speaker 3: pl The match itself, it was a good match. They
- 29:56Speaker 3: did a decent amount of storytelling with Riha and her
- 30:00Speaker 3: supposed to you know, dislocate his shoulder, and then I
- 30:04Speaker 3: think they me personally, I think they kind of oversold
- 30:08Speaker 3: her popping it back into place like storytelling wise, it
- 30:12Speaker 3: was cool, but it wasn't like I don't know, maybe
- 30:16Speaker 3: I'm just you know, old, but I didn't look at
- 30:18Speaker 3: anything like oh.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Damn, I's just really all dislocated.
- 30:21Speaker 3: She did a good job of trying to sell it,
- 30:23Speaker 3: but it's like, you know, it's not really that.
- 30:26Speaker 5: So then she pops it back in. They're like, oh
- 30:27Speaker 5: my god, that's the craziest thing I've ever seen.
- 30:29Speaker 7: I'm like, like I thought Blade when he popped his arm,
- 30:36Speaker 7: I was like, Blade, that No, yeah, at least the
- 30:39Speaker 7: weapon he did it himself. And Blade he had to
- 30:41Speaker 7: have that girl through it. He couldn't do it himself.
- 30:43Speaker 3: And it was again storyteller's point, it was like that
- 30:50Speaker 3: kind of worked for me, like it like something was
- 30:53Speaker 3: going on with it.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I don't know if she was sticking her scapula out
- 30:56Speaker 1: or it kind of looked like she had bruising too,
- 30:58Speaker 1: Like yeah, really dis located, but she was doing something.
- 31:03Speaker 3: She definitely did her part in selling it. She now
- 31:06Speaker 3: like absolutely props to Rhea for selling it. She she
- 31:10Speaker 3: did her part and you know, well enough to make
- 31:14Speaker 3: people buy in. Like I said, and it's probably just
- 31:17Speaker 3: me the old jaded wrestling fan is like, come on now,
- 31:21Speaker 3: but everybody else was probably like probably thought that shit
- 31:24Speaker 3: was sick and gnarly.
- 31:26Speaker 5: And yeah, I'll admit at one.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Point where she kind of just like let it hang
- 31:29Speaker 3: down lower, it did look like something was sticking out,
- 31:31Speaker 3: probably like a clavigal or something, just on how she
- 31:34Speaker 3: made it look. So like, I give her credit for
- 31:37Speaker 3: the effort and the work that they put in. I
- 31:39Speaker 3: just didn't exactly, you know, buy into it myself. But
- 31:43Speaker 3: outside of that the match yourself, she was still solid. Yeah,
- 31:49Speaker 3: and ultimately we had Domb eventually played his role, I
- 31:58Speaker 3: guess towards the end where he stopped Rhea from you know,
- 32:03Speaker 3: crack and Live over the head with the chair, which
- 32:05Speaker 3: would have obviously gotten her disqualified, and at that point
- 32:09Speaker 3: you're thinking, okay, he all reasided, you know, he looking
- 32:13Speaker 3: out for cool.
- 32:16Speaker 5: And then on the other.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Side of the ring, he distracts the ref, allowing lived
- 32:22Speaker 3: to bus real with the oblivion and get the three count,
- 32:26Speaker 3: and we're like, oh, at least I'm like, oh, so
- 32:30Speaker 3: we're doing this thing again the whole Did he cost
- 32:33Speaker 3: her the match or did he not cost her the match? Well,
- 32:37Speaker 3: motherfucker did cost her the match because afterwards he picked
- 32:40Speaker 3: Live right on up and say a boom, it's gonna
- 32:43Speaker 3: be up out of here, which drove a crazy reaction
- 32:47Speaker 3: from the crowd and caused Michael Cole to absolutely lose
- 32:51Speaker 3: his shit on the side. Yep, but uh way, what
- 32:59Speaker 3: were your thoughts on the match?
- 33:00Speaker 7: You know what, I actually enjoyed this match because you know,
- 33:04Speaker 7: we've known Riha for the past year or so being
- 33:07Speaker 7: just this dominant force in the women's division right and
- 33:12Speaker 7: and losing her title due to an injury, so she
- 33:16Speaker 7: it really felt like nobody really knocked her off the top.
- 33:22Speaker 7: It felt like time and hard work is what knocked
- 33:26Speaker 7: her off the top. And and when she came back,
- 33:29Speaker 7: I was a man lives in for an ass whooman
- 33:33Speaker 7: when she gets a hold of her, And that's exactly
- 33:35Speaker 7: what happened, because, uh, you know, liv was able to
- 33:38Speaker 7: scurry and stay out of you know, RHA's hands for
- 33:42Speaker 7: the first half of the match, and I totally get it, like,
- 33:46Speaker 7: you're small, you're quick, You're gonna use that to your advantage.
- 33:49Speaker 7: Try to wear out didn't really do so well because
- 33:52Speaker 7: once she got her hands on Live, she beat the
- 33:54Speaker 7: shit out of her, and Live selling it pretty well
- 33:59Speaker 7: and reversing the riptide. I don't see a lot of
- 34:02Speaker 7: women reverse the riptide, especially so early into the match.
- 34:10Speaker 7: You know, when they were playing the injured arm angle,
- 34:14Speaker 7: it reminded me of a Lexa Bliss would dislocate her arm,
- 34:17Speaker 7: her elbow. She would dislocate and it looked really bad
- 34:20Speaker 7: when she would do. Its gross. So I didn't know
- 34:23Speaker 7: if like, oh, is this something Riha has been known
- 34:26Speaker 7: to be able to do, or now she can do
- 34:29Speaker 7: it because of her injury. It's like, hey, look at
- 34:30Speaker 7: this weird thing I could do after this injury I had.
- 34:33Speaker 7: But I like that they played to that shoulder injury.
- 34:36Speaker 7: I always like it when a wrestler returns. It's like, hey,
- 34:40Speaker 7: you know, they may be able to wrestle, but let's
- 34:44Speaker 7: work on that bad knee that they were knocked out
- 34:46Speaker 7: nine months for, or you know, a bad shoulder, let's
- 34:49Speaker 7: work on it. It tells the story. I'd like that
- 34:52Speaker 7: continuity for sure. It's like, oh, yeah, that's right, she
- 34:55Speaker 7: does have a bad shoulder, and then the wrestlers selling
- 34:58Speaker 7: that shoulder for the entire match. Yeah, we you know,
- 35:03Speaker 7: Like I even have it in my notes, like, oh,
- 35:05Speaker 7: we almost got a heel turned from Dom. You know,
- 35:07Speaker 7: he grabbed a chair. He wanted real, you know, to help.
- 35:11Speaker 7: He wanted to help raise, Like, you can't win the
- 35:13Speaker 7: title that way. So I even wrote in my notes
- 35:15Speaker 7: like we were teasing a heel turn and and you're
- 35:20Speaker 7: like and You're like yeah, and You're like yeah, yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 7: what do you mean heel? It's like Dom Mysteria was
- 35:25Speaker 7: the first person I've seen turn heel while already being heel.
- 35:29Speaker 7: He turned more heel, like superhelde heel infinity. This is
- 35:35Speaker 7: that is awesome. Like this man's like, I, dude, this
- 35:39Speaker 7: is great. This is great for this guy. I mean dude.
- 35:45Speaker 7: But a couple of years ago, even on this fucking podcast,
- 35:49Speaker 7: I'll even say it, on this show, go back to
- 35:52Speaker 7: very early episodes and me talking about Tom. This guy
- 35:55Speaker 7: needs to go to n XT, he needs to work.
- 35:58Speaker 7: He ain't man, I mean Crow. Right now, this guy
- 36:03Speaker 7: is probably the biggest fucking heel on the roster. And
- 36:07Speaker 7: just like when you think he couldn't get any more heel,
- 36:11Speaker 7: he goes here. I was on the straight. I was
- 36:14Speaker 7: on the fence about this guy going staying with Ria
- 36:17Speaker 7: and being face somehow a face heel right, like a
- 36:22Speaker 7: lighter baby face, but still hated. I don't know, we
- 36:25Speaker 7: were going in that gray area, but no, he just
- 36:28Speaker 7: went deeper and deeper into the depths of hell.
- 36:34Speaker 3: I said that that moment, and when he betrayed Ria,
- 36:38Speaker 3: it was gonna be chef's kiss.
- 36:40Speaker 7: Yes, it was perfect, though it was.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Was quite perfect, I agree, And this is the most
- 36:48Speaker 3: minor of gripes from me. The only thing I slightly
- 36:52Speaker 3: had issue with is the fact that they did the
- 36:54Speaker 3: whole They repeated the whole mystery of did he cost
- 36:58Speaker 3: her or not, because that's what kind of what they
- 37:00Speaker 3: were doing before with Dom was like, you know, was
- 37:04Speaker 3: he actually costing people matches or not?
- 37:07Speaker 5: Or was he you know, just being wanted to make
- 37:10Speaker 5: an honest mistake? Huh right? Was it doing that or
- 37:15Speaker 5: was it mistake?
- 37:16Speaker 3: I get the reason behind it, you know, I'll see
- 37:18Speaker 3: it's a call back to what they were doing before.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Me personally, I kind of wish he would have been
- 37:23Speaker 3: more deliberate in costing rear of the title. I think
- 37:27Speaker 3: I would have liked it more if liv would have
- 37:30Speaker 3: gotten the pen or Rea would have been penned knowing
- 37:34Speaker 3: that Dom had betrayed her.
- 37:36Speaker 6: But it seemed surprised, But.
- 37:41Speaker 3: That's how I felt after watching the match initially as
- 37:46Speaker 3: the pay per view went on and which we'll get
- 37:48Speaker 3: to later, and I saw how they played out another match,
- 37:52Speaker 3: I understood it, and I kind of take took that
- 37:56Speaker 3: back because the thing that I thought that I wanted
- 37:59Speaker 3: them to initial doing this match, they did it in
- 38:01Speaker 3: another match. So I understand why they chose this kind
- 38:05Speaker 3: of a finish for it, because actually, you don't want
- 38:07Speaker 3: to look the same finish on, you know, two matches
- 38:10Speaker 3: on the same show.
- 38:11Speaker 7: Now, the betrayal was I I was a little shocked because,
- 38:17Speaker 7: like like you said, the way it went down, I
- 38:18Speaker 7: was like, this is such a weird way for it
- 38:20Speaker 7: to go down. But the icy on the cake was
- 38:23Speaker 7: the kiss, right, The kiss was the icy on the cake,
- 38:26Speaker 7: right in front of Rhea. But what I really enjoy
- 38:30Speaker 7: is look at Rhea's face when this all happens, when
- 38:34Speaker 7: she she looks broken and hurt, right, But then that
- 38:41Speaker 7: goes away and only is there for a split seconds,
- 38:44Speaker 7: because then Ria remembers who the fuck she is, and
- 38:49Speaker 7: then then that facial express and changes to you broke
- 38:52Speaker 7: my heart to You're gonna fucking die and You're gonna
- 38:55Speaker 7: pay for it, you and her. And that's that's the
- 38:59Speaker 7: look she had, that crazy you look because you know
- 39:00Speaker 7: riha Is and we've seen it on Raw. What happens
- 39:04Speaker 7: is the aftermath of Damian Henria so the Terror Twins.
- 39:10Speaker 7: But yeah, overall, I did enjoy this, especially for an
- 39:12Speaker 7: opening match on SummerSlam, you know, and it's a retain
- 39:17Speaker 7: women's title retained so and and storyline massive change. So
- 39:25Speaker 7: title may now have changed, but the story has.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Right Doyle, where you at on this match?
- 39:31Speaker 6: Yeah, we covered a lot of the stuff I was
- 39:33Speaker 6: gonna say. Let's see.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I liked the and we got this throughout the show,
- 39:38Speaker 1: the pop ups during the inferences with you know, how
- 39:41Speaker 1: long they've had the title, how many defenses, fun facts whatever.
- 39:45Speaker 6: I like that kind of stuff. Uh.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Big elephant in the room that neither of you mentioned
- 39:51Speaker 1: was fucking referee cam Wow. Why why it shocked when
- 39:56Speaker 1: they did it in the nineties and w c wo.
- 40:00Speaker 1: I think they didn't remember was that in that that
- 40:02Speaker 1: electric chair match that fucking garfage Abdul the Butcher.
- 40:07Speaker 6: And Cactus Jack.
- 40:08Speaker 1: And I think the staring, I think Sting might have
- 40:10Speaker 1: been caught up in that nonsense, he was, I revive it.
- 40:13Speaker 6: It's so stupid.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Are they trying to show us what the referee scene
- 40:16Speaker 1: when as when a wrestler missus the.
- 40:19Speaker 6: Missus his cute account kickout or whatever. That's all I
- 40:23Speaker 6: can think of why they would do that. Yeah.
- 40:26Speaker 1: I really liked the story of the match, you know,
- 40:30Speaker 1: because you know, as I said it before, on paper,
- 40:32Speaker 1: Rhea should fucking kill Live Morgan.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Right.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Uh So they had you know, Live running away, and
- 40:38Speaker 1: then they had the thing with the shoulder, which is
- 40:40Speaker 1: school Oh, by the way, Lives Lives ring gear based
- 40:44Speaker 1: off of Christina aguilera video for a song called dirty
- 40:50Speaker 1: Little Coincidence there a little not I like that.
- 40:54Speaker 6: I thought they finished that.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I read it somewhere I didn't pick up on that.
- 41:02Speaker 1: The finish was pretty much exactly what I thought was
- 41:04Speaker 1: gonna happen. The only difference is I thought that they
- 41:07Speaker 1: were going to continue it was going to not be.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I didn't think they would make it clear whether Dom
- 41:12Speaker 1: did it on purpose or not.
- 41:13Speaker 6: I thought they would.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Drag that out a little more in the end of
- 41:16Speaker 1: the day, though I'm glad they didn't.
- 41:19Speaker 6: This story desperately needed a big leap forward, which we
- 41:23Speaker 6: finally got. Obviously, this feud is going to continue.
- 41:27Speaker 1: If we don't get a mixed tag with Priest and
- 41:30Speaker 1: Rhea versus Dom and Live because I couldn't see Priests
- 41:34Speaker 1: going after Finn. This may be an opportunity for Jay
- 41:38Speaker 1: to get involved. I know there's been a lot of
- 41:40Speaker 1: Jay Rhea rumors out there. Rhea and Jay versus living
- 41:47Speaker 1: Don might work if Priest isn't available. This might be
- 41:52Speaker 1: something to look forward to going forward.
- 41:54Speaker 6: I love mixed tag matches. I know they're kind of divisive,
- 41:58Speaker 6: but yeah, I thought this was a great match.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Open with really well done, well booked, really no complaints.
- 42:07Speaker 6: Cool.
- 42:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:09Speaker 3: And one other thing that I've I really appreciate about
- 42:14Speaker 3: this is they're finally, at least for Live Morgan. I
- 42:20Speaker 3: appreciate that she's now finally after this comes off as
- 42:25Speaker 3: a credible champion at least in my opinion, this run
- 42:28Speaker 3: that she has now, she's they're booking her the right way.
- 42:32Speaker 3: I appreciate that Lived now finally has a character for
- 42:35Speaker 3: her that works.
- 42:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I mean, she's always been a Flookie champion in the past, right.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Yeah, she finally has a character that works for her
- 42:44Speaker 3: that fans could be invested in, you know, hated or
- 42:48Speaker 3: hated or loved, and she's being booked in a credible
- 42:52Speaker 3: way as opposed to last year when she cashed in
- 42:56Speaker 3: on the money in the bank, which was a great
- 42:58Speaker 3: moment for her then was completely squandered, and how they
- 43:03Speaker 3: booked her against Ronda Rousey with the whole you know,
- 43:07Speaker 3: she tapped out and then all that bs which completely
- 43:11Speaker 3: killed her her run as champion. Now you know she's
- 43:17Speaker 3: gotten the title, she has a clear motivation and they're
- 43:23Speaker 3: following through on it again. She's completely sunk her teeth
- 43:27Speaker 3: into this character and house. He's playing it out and
- 43:30Speaker 3: she has a credible win over Rea Ripley, even if
- 43:34Speaker 3: it was even if there was some interference, but it
- 43:38Speaker 3: wasn't the type of interference that made her look weak.
- 43:42Speaker 3: It was the type of interference where she did what
- 43:44Speaker 3: a hill is supposed to do and take advantage of
- 43:47Speaker 3: the opportunity to finish your opponent and get the win
- 43:51Speaker 3: with dom you know, distracting the ref and then her
- 43:53Speaker 3: hitting oblivion on the steel chair. You know, that's total, credible, legitimate.
- 43:58Speaker 3: He'll behavior to me that it's a legitimate. It's a
- 44:01Speaker 3: credible win for her. Nice saying, and me, as somebody
- 44:05Speaker 3: who was a fan of Live, I appreciate this.
- 44:09Speaker 7: Cool.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Moving on to the next match we had, well, actually,
- 44:20Speaker 3: I'm not kind of looking at it now, so.
- 44:23Speaker 7: Well, we had Damien Priest run into the Judgment Day
- 44:26Speaker 7: locker room and uh, basically, where the hell is he?
- 44:29Speaker 7: You know, where's that little shit? And that's kind of
- 44:32Speaker 7: where we see the tension between Finn and Damien. You know,
- 44:39Speaker 7: you can see like because especially after what we've seen Monday,
- 44:44Speaker 7: like you could see the seeds being planted. And I
- 44:48Speaker 7: feel like we've been seeing this little hints of this
- 44:50Speaker 7: for a while because it's always been the I always
- 44:54Speaker 7: felt like, for for a hot minute, Judgment Day was
- 44:57Speaker 7: always h you know, they were having nights where one
- 45:01Speaker 7: or two of them were get jumped or some match
- 45:03Speaker 7: would go right and and they you know, the first
- 45:07Speaker 7: thing Damien to get back to the locker room and
- 45:08Speaker 7: be like, what the hell happened? Where were so and so?
- 45:11Speaker 7: Why weren't we talking about this? Why did he go
- 45:13Speaker 7: out and do this? You know, what the hell is
- 45:15Speaker 7: going on? So like it seemed like a lot of
- 45:17Speaker 7: them didn't have communication to begin with, and uh, maybe
- 45:21Speaker 7: it's just they just weren't communicating with Damien. So yeah,
- 45:27Speaker 7: in the.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Locker Dom at least Dom looks better with Live than
- 45:32Speaker 3: he does with Rea. At least now he looks he
- 45:36Speaker 3: doesn't look like so much of a sub. He looks
- 45:39Speaker 3: at least more like an equal partner alongside Lived than
- 45:43Speaker 3: with Rea, where it's like okay, yeah, you're clearly just
- 45:47Speaker 3: her little toy or whatever. Anyway, moving on, next match,
- 45:57Speaker 3: we had Bron Breaker taking on sammy's Ain for the
- 46:05Speaker 3: Intercontinental title, and this match again more storytelling. In this match,
- 46:16Speaker 3: it was basically, for one, this match was basically just
- 46:19Speaker 3: a glorified squash.
- 46:21Speaker 5: The match was.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Right, it was a glorified squash match. It was less
- 46:26Speaker 3: than six minutes pretty much everything. The only thing sam
- 46:31Speaker 3: samise Ain could do was show a little bit of heart,
- 46:34Speaker 3: but pretty much everything he did, bron had it scoped
- 46:38Speaker 3: out or had a counter for it, and then he
- 46:41Speaker 3: just basically beat the shoutut of Sammy until Sammy samise
- 46:44Speaker 3: Ain couldn't counter or couldn't.
- 46:47Speaker 5: Hold out anymore.
- 46:48Speaker 3: And then Bron Breaker won and he is now our
- 46:53Speaker 3: new Intercontinental Champion. And as for all the negative things
- 46:58Speaker 3: that I said about sammy'se a pretty much since WrestleMania.
- 47:02Speaker 3: I'm not gonna dunk on him now or be like,
- 47:04Speaker 3: you know, he got exactly what the fuck he deserved
- 47:06Speaker 3: or anything like that. I'm just gonna say that the
- 47:11Speaker 3: storyline made sense. Yeah, bron Breaker is the raging bull
- 47:16Speaker 3: who can't be stopped. He had a moment of arrogance
- 47:20Speaker 3: and Sammy's Ain't as the veteran, made him pay for
- 47:24Speaker 3: it and was able to hold him off for one round.
- 47:28Speaker 3: But then bron Breaker showed that he can learn from
- 47:30Speaker 3: his mistakes and came back and stomped out Sammy's Ain
- 47:35Speaker 3: and squashed him. It made sense. Only thing from here
- 47:41Speaker 3: really to me. The only part that's interesting from at
- 47:44Speaker 3: this point is how long are they gonna have bron
- 47:49Speaker 3: Breaker as champion, because.
- 47:53Speaker 5: I don't.
- 47:56Speaker 3: I get how they're booking him obviously again as the
- 48:00Speaker 3: guy who's steamrolling through everything. But that being said, I
- 48:04Speaker 3: don't see him in the world title picture anytime soon.
- 48:07Speaker 3: I don't think he's on that level yet. You know,
- 48:11Speaker 3: it's not like you know, brock Lesner back in two
- 48:14Speaker 3: thousand and three, where we saw that guy and you
- 48:16Speaker 3: immediately saw a champion like oh yeah, yep. So you know,
- 48:20Speaker 3: when he shows up at the Day After Wrestlemedia and
- 48:23Speaker 3: he's championed by Summer Slam, We're like, yeah, yep, that
- 48:26Speaker 3: makes sense on that ship from the day he took
- 48:28Speaker 3: that chair shot from the Hardy Boys, Yep. If we
- 48:31Speaker 3: had WW champion written all over him, I don't quite
- 48:34Speaker 3: see that in bron Breaker. So but also don't see
- 48:40Speaker 3: anybody that can really credibly beat him for the inn
- 48:43Speaker 3: Continental title at this point yet, which puts me in
- 48:49Speaker 3: a weird position because I don't know if I have
- 48:53Speaker 3: the appetite for another long ass IC title reign after
- 48:56Speaker 3: what we just got with Guns and him having it
- 49:00Speaker 3: or six hundred and sixty six days. I don't know
- 49:02Speaker 3: that I want to see bron Breaker as the Icy
- 49:05Speaker 3: Champion for the next year.
- 49:08Speaker 5: I kind of want.
- 49:09Speaker 3: To see I kind of feel about this belt the
- 49:13Speaker 3: way I think you said, Doyle about the World Heavyweight Championship,
- 49:16Speaker 3: where you kind of say wanted to see it or
- 49:19Speaker 3: could see it being hot potatoed a bit. I kind
- 49:22Speaker 3: of feel that way about the Icy title right now.
- 49:25Speaker 3: I'd be okay with Broun holding the belt, maybe to
- 49:29Speaker 3: like Survivors Series or maybe even the Rumble at most
- 49:35Speaker 3: before somebody beats him for it. But those are just
- 49:39Speaker 3: my thoughts. I mean, ain't really much to say about
- 49:41Speaker 3: the match it up. Like I said, it was a
- 49:42Speaker 3: glorified squash. But what are your thoughts, Dyle?
- 49:46Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly what I wrote down, borderline squash.
- 49:51Speaker 6: I think I would have liked to.
- 49:52Speaker 1: See in a few more minutes and Sam may be
- 49:54Speaker 1: a little more resilient, But I guess I understood why
- 49:58Speaker 1: it kind of had to go this way, although I
- 50:01Speaker 1: will say later about a different match that I kind
- 50:03Speaker 1: of wish they've flip flopped the booking of that match
- 50:06Speaker 1: in this match and made that match the squash, But we'll.
- 50:09Speaker 6: Get to that when we get to that. I think
- 50:11Speaker 6: Breaker will have a decently long run.
- 50:14Speaker 1: I don't think it'll be six hundred and sixty six days,
- 50:16Speaker 1: but yeah, I mean, if he keeps it, truth to
- 50:19Speaker 1: say the rumble, that's six months.
- 50:21Speaker 6: I mean that's a pretty respectable little run. Because, yeah,
- 50:25Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Who's going to beat him, but I mean he still
- 50:28Speaker 1: has a lot to prove to me anyway. He needs
- 50:30Speaker 1: to prove he can routinely put together matches that are
- 50:33Speaker 1: over five minutes and entertaining.
- 50:35Speaker 6: On a consistent basis. I haven't seen that from him.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Again, I didn't really see much of his NXT work,
- 50:41Speaker 1: so maybe it's in there and I just haven't seen
- 50:43Speaker 1: it based on.
- 50:45Speaker 6: Him on the main roster at this point. But I
- 50:48Speaker 6: still think he's got a lot of work to do.
- 50:52Speaker 6: I seem to be in the minority of that.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Just of course, free Sammy up to be involved in
- 50:56Speaker 1: the Bloodline Civil War if that's what they decide to
- 50:58Speaker 1: do with him.
- 51:00Speaker 6: Who knows if that's gonna happen or not.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Uh yeah, But but off of what what Drange just said,
- 51:07Speaker 1: I I have no idea there isn't unless they're gonna
- 51:11Speaker 1: trying to build Bronze and read up something.
- 51:14Speaker 6: You know, I don't know who.
- 51:15Speaker 1: There's no immediate nobody immediately leaps to mind of like, oh,
- 51:19Speaker 1: obviously that's bron Breaker's next opponent. And maybe that's a
- 51:22Speaker 1: good thing that we don't know where we're going, because
- 51:25Speaker 1: it feels like so much other things are so predictable. Uh,
- 51:29Speaker 1: maybe it's good that we're not one hundred percent sury
- 51:31Speaker 1: where they're going with him.
- 51:32Speaker 6: I would I would say, who's the Russian guy? What
- 51:35Speaker 6: the hell's name?
- 51:36Speaker 5: Why can't.
- 51:36Speaker 6: I think the dragon On Off.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Off might be it might be a.
- 51:43Speaker 6: Might be a.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Running I don't know, Maybe I would. Of course, I'm
- 51:50Speaker 1: still on my U. I want Jamus to win the
- 51:53Speaker 1: I see title.
- 51:54Speaker 6: And complete the Grand Slam.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Of course, dragon he will grow into the belt because
- 52:02Speaker 1: he's got big shoes to fill after the last two
- 52:05Speaker 1: uh two champions.
- 52:06Speaker 6: So we'll see where we go from here. Sammy wasn't
- 52:09Speaker 6: doing anything with it.
- 52:10Speaker 1: Thought that story his his underdog kind of story, and
- 52:16Speaker 1: I think run his course.
- 52:17Speaker 6: So I think it's a good change. But we'll see
- 52:22Speaker 6: what bron has has in him going forward.
- 52:26Speaker 3: Yeah, il your dragon Off is definitely somebody that can
- 52:29Speaker 3: bang with Bron Breaker because they have his history of
- 52:32Speaker 3: going back to n.
- 52:33Speaker 5: X t Yeah.
- 52:37Speaker 6: I mean he's one of he's beat gun the right.
- 52:42Speaker 7: Yeah, they had been gunn the No.
- 52:46Speaker 6: I meant breakers break break.
- 52:50Speaker 3: I because Gunther was in n x t u K
- 52:56Speaker 3: and I know him and dragon Off had have his
- 53:00Speaker 3: street with each other going back to n x t
- 53:01Speaker 3: u K.
- 53:02Speaker 1: But dragging off and there's a third person that's pinned him.
- 53:07Speaker 6: I thought it was Breaker, but I could be wrong.
- 53:10Speaker 5: Oh hmm, that mean an't dragon Off I don't. I
- 53:15Speaker 5: don't be done.
- 53:16Speaker 7: Maybe no, they they did. They did, That's right, it was.
- 53:21Speaker 7: They did feud for a while for the n XT title.
- 53:25Speaker 7: He Brown Breaker was the guy to be Kunter the
- 53:29Speaker 7: NXT title.
- 53:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, I mean that might be an interesting Oh yeah,
- 53:35Speaker 1: into a breaker.
- 53:37Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, I thought so. Yeah. Oh sorry, go ahead, Doyle.
- 53:44Speaker 6: Well I think I've said, Mike til.
- 53:47Speaker 7: Yeah, go ahead, Okay, So I agree with you Doyle.
- 53:54Speaker 7: This this is great. This is a great way to
- 53:57Speaker 7: frip Sammy Zane for any bloodline stuff. You know, if
- 54:01Speaker 7: the rumors are true about them putting him and Jay
- 54:06Speaker 7: Usso on the other roster, trading them, I say that
- 54:09Speaker 7: with quotes that would make sense with these guys. I
- 54:15Speaker 7: don't you know. Sammy's name was just a transitional champion.
- 54:19Speaker 7: We got one heel champion to face champion and then
- 54:22Speaker 7: now another heel champion. It was just the middle guy.
- 54:26Speaker 7: He was the underdog and like you guys said, and
- 54:29Speaker 7: its course, you know, and I was saying even when
- 54:33Speaker 7: we were watching it, all he needs to do is
- 54:35Speaker 7: connect that damn spear and it's over. And guess what,
- 54:39Speaker 7: That's exactly what happened. Twice, Yeah, twice, just to make
- 54:44Speaker 7: sure he double tapped his ass, make sure he was dead.
- 54:48Speaker 7: This goofy yellow tiger looking outfit. Did you guys know
- 54:55Speaker 7: the Steiners were there? They were sitting all the way
- 54:57Speaker 7: at the top.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Yeah, they have a They showed the Legends box a
- 55:01Speaker 1: couple of times. DDP was up there, Big, big, Big
- 55:09Speaker 1: Kevin Nash. I think one two three kid was up there.
- 55:13Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I think Cody said, I think up there, yeah,
- 55:17Speaker 3: Because I think Cody Rose mentioned that the press conference
- 55:22Speaker 3: after the show that they they had a bunch of
- 55:24Speaker 3: legends in attendance that night, and I think Triple H
- 55:28Speaker 3: or somebody management made a conscious effort uh to make
- 55:33Speaker 3: the roster aware that, hey, we got a bunch of
- 55:36Speaker 3: legends in the house, and I think gave him put
- 55:38Speaker 3: out something to I don't know if it was an
- 55:40Speaker 3: email or something, but like a bunch of one sheets
- 55:43Speaker 3: about all the legends that were there that basically showed
- 55:46Speaker 3: their talking about their accolades, their career and stuff like that.
- 55:49Speaker 3: So that way the people on the wrestlers on the
- 55:52Speaker 3: roster were aware of these legends who were there, and
- 55:57Speaker 3: they were actively encouraging people on the roster the you know,
- 56:00Speaker 3: go up, talk to the legends, speak to them, you know,
- 56:03Speaker 3: thank them for what they've done, YadA YadA. Cody had
- 56:07Speaker 3: brought that up into post crow uh in the press
- 56:10Speaker 3: conference after the pl and you know, talked about how
- 56:13Speaker 3: how much he liked that they did that for all
- 56:16Speaker 3: the legends that were in attendance that night.
- 56:19Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Some of these kids wrestling haven't weren't even alive, you
- 56:24Speaker 1: know when he was power bombing Bob Bank and two
- 56:28Speaker 1: seconds and winning the championship.
- 56:30Speaker 5: And I have no idea that Sean Waltman used to
- 56:33Speaker 5: be the one two three kid.
- 56:35Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, kid, Yeah, I think that's cool. We need
- 56:41Speaker 7: to show more of that. It's no different than if
- 56:43Speaker 7: like jed a baseball game and or basketball game. It's like,
- 56:46Speaker 7: oh louk, these former you know, basketball players that are
- 56:49Speaker 7: here watching the game, It's like that's cool. Like it's
- 56:53Speaker 7: it's like, yeah, they may be retired or whatever, but
- 56:55Speaker 7: they still love the sport. They still love it, they
- 56:57Speaker 7: still want to come out and see it. And as
- 56:59Speaker 7: the wrestler, that's gotta be like like I don't know,
- 57:02Speaker 7: like a little boost of morale, you know, of self esteem, Like, oh, look,
- 57:06Speaker 7: we got legends watch us tonight, so I'm gonna you know,
- 57:09Speaker 7: I'm put all my best, you know, I totally get that,
- 57:13Speaker 7: that that motivation that they should do that every pay
- 57:16Speaker 7: per view now and again, these are small things we've
- 57:19Speaker 7: seen that have changed in the business that Vince would
- 57:24Speaker 7: not have allowed unless they were sitting in front row
- 57:27Speaker 7: and they bought their own ticket and they were only
- 57:29Speaker 7: there for one match.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Yeah, they should do that pretty much anytime any legends
- 57:35Speaker 3: or in attendance, even if it's a bit manufacturer, like
- 57:39Speaker 3: you know, go up to a fan like, hey man,
- 57:42Speaker 3: let me boy, you see right quick, put a legend
- 57:44Speaker 3: in there, get them on cameras like hey, you know,
- 57:47Speaker 3: Jake the Snakes in the house tonight or you know
- 57:49Speaker 3: something like that.
- 57:50Speaker 5: Don't let these guys just.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Disappear into obscurity because they're retired and they're not actively
- 57:56Speaker 3: wrestling anymore.
- 57:57Speaker 5: Like, yeah, give these legends a shot out.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Let them get recognized, Let them get the adulation of
- 58:03Speaker 3: the fans that are into tendans. Let people watching at
- 58:05Speaker 3: home see these guys and see they.
- 58:08Speaker 1: That they'll sell more bullshit that you can sell a
- 58:11Speaker 1: few more Diesel T shirts or whatever, you know, like
- 58:14Speaker 1: should be a win win for everybody.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Right exactly there, there's nothing bad about it, And like
- 58:19Speaker 3: you said, it's you know, like you the comparison to
- 58:23Speaker 3: what sports teams do you know? Anytime an old you know,
- 58:28Speaker 3: you know Celtic is at the td uh, you know,
- 58:32Speaker 3: ship Stained Arena, I'm pretty sure they shot them out,
- 58:35Speaker 3: I said what I said, you know, like I said,
- 58:40Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure they shot them out, just like you know,
- 58:43Speaker 3: anybody that's at the Staples, they shot them out. Oh, bulls,
- 58:47Speaker 3: like any sport, you know, if the old guys are there, Hey,
- 58:50Speaker 3: Soso's in the house.
- 58:51Speaker 5: Hey, what's up?
- 58:53Speaker 3: No reason not to do that with wrestlers anything else.
- 59:00Speaker 3: Anybody got to say about our new y C chimp?
- 59:04Speaker 7: No, I mean, you know, you guys were trying to
- 59:07Speaker 7: name off anybody we can think face him, and yeah,
- 59:11Speaker 7: maybe it is a good thing. We don't we're gonna
- 59:13Speaker 7: we're gonna need a good upcoming face. So basically we
- 59:17Speaker 7: just gotta keep our eyes peeled for a face on
- 59:20Speaker 7: the rise.
- 59:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:23Speaker 7: Right now, we don't have anybody, and I just expect
- 59:26Speaker 7: him just to be crushing it, just to crush the
- 59:29Speaker 7: roster for now. That's that's all I expect for right
- 59:32Speaker 7: now build a build up those w's. You know, if
- 59:36Speaker 7: they're gonna make him the next ride Back Goldberg, whatever,
- 59:40Speaker 7: then this man needs to start racking up Let's hope,
- 59:44Speaker 7: let's hope he's not like any of those. But let's
- 59:46Speaker 7: let's hope. Yeah, exactly, But like, let's let's hope he
- 59:52Speaker 7: gets a pretty big w account. You know, let's see
- 59:57Speaker 7: a huge amount of w's. That's what I want to see,
- 59:59Speaker 7: and and I want to see a big face come
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: and take him out.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: So yeah, I wonder who's gonna be the first sacrificial
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: lamb to him in this title.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: Steps up the challenge?
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Yeah, just like whoever the first person to step up
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: and challenge him for the title that you know the
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: next p L is obviously not gonna win. I'm just
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: wondering who they're about to serve up to him Cruise, No, No,
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: that'd be for a law.
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: And plus apollows on SmackDown.
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: Who is he?
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: Yeah? Him and him and Baron Corban already tag team?
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: Is that working for you? Like as a fan, like
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: what he's like? No, fuck yourself?
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: I mean, I I appreciate that Apollo Cruise is getting
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: television time and obviously getting seen by the fans. I
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: definitely appreciate that, you know, and good for Baron Corban
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: and all, but they are just it's another case again
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: of a thrown together tag team for no damn reason,
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: just two guys on the roster, Yeah, and got shited
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: us to do it, so slap them together and just
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: let them have a bunch of tag team matches, which
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: I'm never really gonna be invested in that unless the
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: rest of themselves showed me that they're invested in trying
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: to make it work, which I haven't seen from Apollo
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: and Baron Corbin. And meanwhile, last year we got the
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: tease of Cedric Alexander and Ashante the Adonis teaming up together,
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: which was something that you know, we could have, you know,
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: gave two shits about, like, Okay, these guys might form something.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: Two guys would nowhere to go. You know, there was
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: something there, There was story there, there was something that
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: you could have done something with. And we ain't seen
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: shit from the motherfucker since. And I was like almost
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: a year ago, and they're like, what wasting away on
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: main event or something like that. Two guys who could
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: probably be a bona fide tag team who probably on
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: their internal roster, have been paired up for a year
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: and nothing, but y'all could just you know, pull Polo
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: Cruise in and and Baron KORbin out the waste basket
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: and stowed them on TV every dayn week.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Well, in fairness, the last guy that was randomly tossed
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: together as a tag team with Baron Corbin did pretty
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: good for himself.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: He uh just won the Icy title.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Yeah yeah on the NXT. I get yeah, they I
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: get that Cruise ain't bron Verger that too, Sorry that too,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: but yeah, It's just it feels like the spot that
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: these two guys are getting. And again, I don't want
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: to dunk on them too hard because they are good
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: workers and I'm glad that they are getting that spot
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: in that recognition. I just feel like there are other
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: guys who probably should have gotten that, maybe a bit
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: ahead of them.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I think if Apollo Cruz was five inches taller, he
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: would have a completely different career.
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: You're not wrong about that, because he.
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: Is a good worker. You're absolutely right. But he's just
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: so damn little.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, make it out there.
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: He looks like a Jack Devin.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Hard right, and he does. And as good of a
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: worker as he is. His work is it's good, but
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: it's not special. And if you're going to be somebody
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: of that guy.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: To make it, you have to be I mean, like
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Raymond Stereo, that was the most important wrestler in the
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: last thirty years, you.
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: Know what I mean, Like or or Danielson. It is
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: like all time, you know what I mean?
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Like you have to be like a Ray Masterio
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: or Brian Danielson or Eddie Guerrero or cris Bin Water
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: or something like that. Your work has to be special
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: to where you stand out from everybody else.
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: But he's not special exactly exactly. So what the were,
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we're moving on to the next match.
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: Oh you should mention Stephanie McMahon awkwardly sitting by herself
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: and waving like a lunatic. That was weird, Like why
- 1:04:23Speaker 6: why is she sitting next to empty chairs?
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: Yes, it did feel weird.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: You think they about to let them peasants get next
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: to her.
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: You think she would be sitting up with all the
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: legends at least yeah, yeah, and said They're like, nah,
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: I'm not surprised.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: I think she wants to be up close. She knows
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: the viewer from up there sucks. She want to be
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: front and center and see that ship like everybody else.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: She wants them, She want that VIP seat. Honestly, I
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: would love to sit down next to her and watch
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: a p l E with Stephanie because when I'm pretty sure,
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: because she's not a tie to the company at all,
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: she has no position in it, so she's probably just
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: sitting there watching it just as a fan, and I
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: would love to just like sit next to her and
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: just pick her brain and just see how she's viewing
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: things as a fan, not as not as an executive
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: or somebody who has to think about the bottom line
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: or the storyline or any of that other stuff. She
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: just needs to watch it as a fan, just like
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: the rest of us.
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: All Right, Stephanie is picking up the bill, right, What
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: are you gonna go get at the at the food stand?
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: What are you getting? She said, I'll pay it, I'll
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: pay for it. What do you want?
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: It depends on what arena we're at and what they offer.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: Really bottled water, sealed bottled water.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: Yeah, sealed bottled water. I want a large pizza, which
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: in real life is a small.
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: Right, in other words, a personal.
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: Pan yeah, personal pan and I will and you will
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: pay fifteen dollars for this.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: If she's picking up the bill, I'll take four of
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: those overpriced ass Arnold Palmer half and halfs.
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: Oh dude, yeah good, good call Doyle. What would you get?
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: I don't know what?
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: What's?
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: What's?
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Does Cleveland have a you know like Philly has the
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: cheese steak and Boston has clamp chowder?
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: What like? Just feel just Cleveland have food?
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: I don't know Steamers, I don't know.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll just hot dogs or something. Maybe dog Pound,
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: maybe they got all dogs. Maybe they do something special
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: with them.
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: Let me see famous food in Cleveland.
- 1:06:57Speaker 9: I know that chili on the spagin or whatever that
- 1:07:01Speaker 9: corn beef sandwiches brought worst sandwiches, uh pes love pros.
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: Bagels or Schmeer Walleye cakes, chicken papery cash and pretzel
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: crunch bars.
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: You had me, I could go for a pretzel crunch
- 1:07:26Speaker 6: bar and.
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: Some dude, I love proges.
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: How did we get here anyway?
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: To buy you dinner?
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: Yeah, dude, she's buy me that. And anybody who comes
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: by with cotton candy or whatever, pretzels, Hey over here,
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: over here, you know, I'll be like those kids and
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: angels in the outfield where they just have like every food,
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: Like they have the nachos, they had the pretzels, they
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: had the soda, and because they weren't paying for it,
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: they had all the gear on. Anyway, Sorry, that's fine.
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: Moving on.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: Next match, we had La Knight challenging Logan Paul for
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: the United States Championship, and one it was I wonder
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: how it feels if you're Logan Paul when you're coming
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: out and you're trying to shout out your whole city
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: and give them all this love because you're the hometown guy,
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: and they're all just like fuck you. He comes out,
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: he remember he did his homecoming at that Friday SmackDown.
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: He came out there was just booed relentlessly.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: Then he comes out to SummerSlam and he's got the
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: Cleveland Brown gear on and stuff like that, and the
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: fans are still just like Boo, which I mean was
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: probably maybe fifty to fifty investment Boo versus we just
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: don't like you, Boo. But again, give him props for
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: for the gear. You know it was, it did at
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: least look cool. And then Ellen Knight comes up and
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: the ride that he stole the night before cuts his
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: little promo, which I mean, props to them for trying
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: something new as opposed to know, just hit the music
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: and the guy walks out. You know, at least they
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: tried something a little different, little creative credit to them
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: for that. Ellen Knight just needs to work on his
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: pole game apparently, since he damn break that fucking glass.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Remember when Bolberg punched through a window and like shredded
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: his arm and I first, at first I was picturing
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: something like that happened.
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: Oh God, I hope he doesn't cut himself.
- 1:09:55Speaker 7: Yeah I was. I was worried about that too, Dude, like,
- 1:09:57Speaker 7: oh dude, you're gonna cut yourself before your mask.
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: Well, good thing he broke it on the second swing,
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: because it would have looked real awkward if he had
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: hit it twice and not broken it. Yeah, I'd have
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: been like, you know what, I don't know how you're
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: gonna save it, bro, just come to the ring. You
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: might have got a call from Triple A's to the
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: refortor back. Yeah, we're changing the finish on this logan.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Paul is gonna win and go over.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: I thought I have a spired like I thought, if
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: they were going to do that, they should have done
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: it reverse and had Logan Paul doing the backstage thing,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: and he could have run down He could have used
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: that opportunity to.
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: Run down Cleveland even more, you know, like, oh, you're
- 1:10:35Speaker 6: about to see a champion for the first time in this.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Stadium or what you know, like or you know, I
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: want them to announce me from Puerto Rico, not Cleveland,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: because I got the hell out of here because this place,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: Whatever cut him off.
- 1:10:49Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, I just I found that a little
- 1:10:52Speaker 6: interesting choice.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: Say yeah, yeah, no, that's a valid points. I think
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: that probably might have gone off better if he would
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: have been in the ring, running Cleveland down in Cleveland
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: gear and talking all that ship and then l A.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Knight's music hits, or you could have the hero whatever
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: you know, not say anything.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, him driving truck to the ring, as if
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: he needs any further comparisons to being you know, a knockoff,
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: rocking stone cold.
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: Fucking pull a truck into the ring.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: Yes, he's gonna run off the top of it and
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: close line him in the ring.
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: I think prime, yeah, spray prime the ring. He just
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: got primed. Can we talk about how this match, well
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: not just this match, the whole night was brought to
- 1:11:46Speaker 7: you by like six other sponsors in the ring, like
- 1:11:49Speaker 7: their fucking logos all over the ring.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Now, yeah, Prime in the middle, and then it was
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: like four other other sponsors. Yeah, well they had one
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: in every corner, but it was two other one like
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: across corner from each other.
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: I think it was wing pit or something, and I
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: don't know, straight.
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, straight talk, and then outside there's slim Gym.
- 1:12:13Speaker 7: It's did we really, like earlier in our childhood watching
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: like Attitude, Ara and stuff, did we really have this
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: much advertisement? Like do we just not remember it being
- 1:12:23Speaker 7: shoved around?
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: We just had commercials.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: W W had had an ad in the ring every
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: so often, but that wasn't like all the time thing,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: or they had a big nitro logo in the middle
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: of the ring sometimes.
- 1:12:37Speaker 7: I was gonna say it was actually.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: That that's all valid criticism, But I did like that
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: they didn't have all of the l LEDs around the
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: stadium going the whole time, you know, especially once the sunset,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: the audience kind of stayed dark. I actually liked the
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: look of the of the show more than I'd liked
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: to look some others.
- 1:12:59Speaker 6: Because it's just so much bullshit.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Everything's let up, and they weren't doing that at the show,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: which I appreciated and.
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: Had more of an old school kind of look.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: Yeah, and I mean at least they also props to
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: them and doing something different in this match too, where
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: they brawled for a good minute outside the ring before
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: the match even started. So you know, that's again just
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: another thing of them not trying to book every.
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: Match the same.
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: So because yeah, they they scrapped for partly about a
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: good two or three minutes outside the ring before the
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: yeah you're right, yeah, yeah, for the match even started.
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: But getting into the match itself, I thought the match
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: was actually a really good match. You know, nothing really
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: groundbreak or anything like that, but Logan Paul, in the
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: typical fashion, showed his athleticism so that he can still
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: you know, go in the ring with the best of them.
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: And you know that uh that springboard moon salt or
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: that he did the type rope where he walked in
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: and then hit that that looked like a million bucks,
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: that was hella impressive. You know, I think this match
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: we probably got one of our first noteworthy not quite botched,
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: but near botches of the night when La Knight went
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: for the superplex on Logan Paul and damn near broke
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: his fucking neck, which I don't think was on La Knight.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: I think that might have been maybe more on Logan
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: Paul because it looked like he didn't quite hit himself
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: over all the way, so it almost looked like a brainbuster.
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: But it was clearly supposed to be a superplex, but
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: it was damn so noticeable because I was.
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: Like, oh, that was almost.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: A catastrophe the way he landed. But in the end
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: it was, you know, you're pretty standard typical finish, you know,
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: and Logan Paul trying to do something dirty counter BFT
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: one two three, which I'm just not sold on the
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: BFT as a finisher it. I have yet to see
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: that finisher look good.
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: I agree.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: I don't know if it's just the people that's taken
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: it or the way it's set up to be taken
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: it just it Not once has it looked good to me.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: But either way, Ellen Knights are new United States Champion. Finally,
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: after like how long have we been saying that this
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: guy neither the title win or how long have we
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: been calling for him, like to become the US champion.
- 1:15:36Speaker 6: Quite a while?
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: Like almost, like yeah, pretty much lost Logan Paul pretty
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: much since Logan Paul became champion him.
- 1:15:45Speaker 7: Yeah, we all thought that he was the perfect opponent
- 1:15:49Speaker 7: to like the perfect gimmick to counteract with his you
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: know yeah, and you know, god, man, I would have
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: loved it to be in Mania. Was it really worth though?
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: Holding out so SummerSlam? Do you guys think it would
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: have been better at Mania? Because what has Ellie Knight
- 1:16:07Speaker 7: done since Mania?
- 1:16:10Speaker 5: Not much? Not much, nothing.
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: Where's log.
- 1:16:14Speaker 6: They didn't do it?
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: I really think that the reason they didn't take it
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: off of them there is because they wanted him to
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: hold it with his brother fighting Tyson, and then when
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: that fell apart, they were like, all right, let's just
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: get it off of him.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: I Yeah, I agree very much. So I think that's
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: what the plan they wanted because they knew that was
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: going to be a big fight everybody was going to watch,
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: and they wanted Logan Paul walking out there with that title.
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: They wanted that to be seen on camera.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: Yeah, that would have been cool.
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: That would have been very cool.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what happens when corporate interests go against what
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: makes sense. Because they almost killed el A Knight dragging
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: this shit out as long as they did, absolutely.
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: But it got been.
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: It happened, and you know what, as I'm you know,
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: got to match yourself playing in the background. L A
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: Knight hit a move in this match that I think
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: would work as a better finisher for him than that
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: damn BFT. It was in the beginning of the match,
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: when they were still fighting on the outside and uh
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: when logan Paul, I mean when La Knight, Yeah, on
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: the announced table where you put him up and would
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: almost look like a torture rocket fast and then flipped
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: it into a cutter. Yes, that's a that's a better
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: finisher than the BFT thing he's doing now. I remember
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: thinking that when I saw it in the match, I'm like, shit,
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: that looked like a finisher right there. Yeah, somebody, somebody
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: need to talk to him, like, dude, that BFT.
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: Ain't it.
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: Start doing this to people. You're credible enough to look
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: like you can lift up somebody.
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: You ain't no small dude, You got size to you.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: It ain't too many people on the roster. You shouldn't
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: be able to get up and hit that finish her
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: on hell, call that the bf T just if you
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: want to keep the name. That one just looks better
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: and is more impressive. H what were your thoughts on
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: this match?
- 1:18:12Speaker 7: Wayne? You know, uh, time and time again, Logan Paul
- 1:18:18Speaker 7: seems to impress me more and more with his in
- 1:18:21Speaker 7: ring ability. You know, watching that that somersault, that moon salt,
- 1:18:27Speaker 7: you know outside the ring, the way he did it,
- 1:18:30Speaker 7: how clean he did that. When they showed it in
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: slow motion, it looked like he was flying. Son of
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: a bitch was flying like it was beautiful.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:18:39Speaker 7: I don't know why we had MGK in this match.
- 1:18:46Speaker 7: I forgot to You probably forgot about it, thank god, right,
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: But yeah, he was in the beginning of the match
- 1:18:52Speaker 7: and the first thing I thought of is Ko power
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: bombing MGK off the stage, and I was like, yeah,
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: bring back, uh you know I then I was like, Okay,
- 1:19:01Speaker 7: so he's gonna try to take part in this interfere somehow,
- 1:19:05Speaker 7: and he and he did. He tried to use the
- 1:19:06Speaker 7: brass knuckles he gave to uh Logan Paul, because you know,
- 1:19:10Speaker 7: Logan Paul always seems to get out of these matches
- 1:19:14Speaker 7: with that those brass knuckles. Man, every time he's like
- 1:19:17Speaker 7: William Regal, those brass nuckles. It's like every fucking match.
- 1:19:21Speaker 7: But yeah, I mean when he got Ellie Knight with that,
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: was like, fuck, we're gonna get him as champion again.
- 1:19:30Speaker 7: Uh No, I mean Ellie and I got in there
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: real quick, reversed it. It happened so quickly, like I
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: I marked out man, Like I jumped out of my
- 1:19:39Speaker 7: seat because I I seriously thought it was over. They
- 1:19:42Speaker 7: had me like he like it all happens in a
- 1:19:45Speaker 7: matter of seconds, like I'm watching it again. He like
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: he hits him with the brass knuckles and I'm like,
- 1:19:50Speaker 7: ah shit, this is it man, He's gonna the ref
- 1:19:53Speaker 7: didn't see it and they didn't have no refcam. Then
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: he does his little flip into the ring, which he
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: does pretty cool. How he f into the rink really quickly.
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: Uh and then you know Ellie Knight was just like
- 1:20:04Speaker 7: right there and just hooked him right into his finisher
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: and then he got that pin. Dude, I jumped up
- 1:20:10Speaker 7: out of my seat because I was like, oh shit, yeah,
- 1:20:12Speaker 7: like it just it was just so quick. I love
- 1:20:15Speaker 7: those quick wins when you think this guy hasn't, then bam,
- 1:20:21Speaker 7: that finisher comes out of nowhere. And you know I
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: used to get that kind of uh way with Sean
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: Michael matches. You know, Shawn Michaels would just that super
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: kick would come out of nowhere and he would just
- 1:20:31Speaker 7: pin you and you would like, oh my god. Like
- 1:20:36Speaker 7: I thought this guy was wasn't gonna win it all,
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: and then he just pulled out a superkick. So yeah,
- 1:20:42Speaker 7: I was so happy for this win. Now, now the
- 1:20:45Speaker 7: United States Championship can go to Japan when they go
- 1:20:48Speaker 7: on tour, you know, because they couldn't when they had
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: Logan Paul's champion. Uh So, now yeah, you take the
- 1:20:55Speaker 7: United States Championship on tour to Japan. I think he's
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: gonna be a great United States Champion. It's a long
- 1:21:02Speaker 7: time coming. We should have had this at WrestleMania. I
- 1:21:06Speaker 7: really didn't see why until you guys mentioned it. You
- 1:21:12Speaker 7: know why he held the United States title for so long.
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: It didn't really do anything for WWE. It was holding
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: on to it for this was seemed like this moment,
- 1:21:21Speaker 7: for this Mike Tyson match they were gonna use it
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: for because, like we said, he only defended it twice
- 1:21:27Speaker 7: in this title, reigning that he had What's next for
- 1:21:31Speaker 7: Logan Paul, I don't know. I really don't know.
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: I mean, I.
- 1:21:37Speaker 7: Really don't care. But I don't see him challenging for
- 1:21:42Speaker 7: the United States title anytime soon. I don't see him
- 1:21:44Speaker 7: going for Gunther anytime soon. I don't see him, you know,
- 1:21:49Speaker 7: going for the IC title or not even no, not
- 1:21:57Speaker 7: even maybe Cody. You think we'll have like a a
- 1:22:00Speaker 7: thing with him and Cody that exactly we already did
- 1:22:05Speaker 7: that where he cooked that story.
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: So it's Liken go way for a while.
- 1:22:11Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right. I I kind of like
- 1:22:15Speaker 7: that idea, go away for a while. I mean, like
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: sometimes the you know, less is more, you know. But yeah,
- 1:22:23Speaker 7: I mean that the two big spots with those two
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: guys with the superplex, you know, with off the top
- 1:22:30Speaker 7: rope and then the then the moon's all outside of
- 1:22:32Speaker 7: the rope, it was my two favorite spots of the match,
- 1:22:36Speaker 7: and it got me involved and it got me hyped because,
- 1:22:39Speaker 7: like I said, I popped at the end. And then
- 1:22:42Speaker 7: of course right after this match, right they show you
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: a slim Gym commercial with l A. Knight, So I
- 1:22:47Speaker 7: thought that was clever.
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: But yeah, of course, I mean who spots of the
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: match exactly right. Yeah.
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: Now, imagine though, if Logan Paul does the whole little
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: roll into the ring lariat thing and l A. Knight
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: catches the r puts them up in the air and
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: hits that damn cutter for the finish.
- 1:23:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:23:14Speaker 5: It looks so much better than that little weak ass BFT.
- 1:23:19Speaker 7: Yeah, I agree, I agree. Yeah, Hey, who knows, mane man?
- 1:23:24Speaker 7: Over time, maybe he'll maybe he'll adjust to a different finisher.
- 1:23:31Speaker 5: Something soon enough.
- 1:23:34Speaker 7: I like those sometimes. I like those quick finishers, those
- 1:23:37Speaker 7: ones that you can just hit out of nowhere.
- 1:23:40Speaker 5: Sweet.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: Yeah, some of them work good there obviously, it's it's
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: a fine art to a finisher.
- 1:23:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: Sometimes the quick, sudden ones work great. Sometimes the ones
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: that have a bit more build up work great. I
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: think it just depends on the the person. Yeah, what
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: were your thoughts on this one, doll?
- 1:24:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, like we've already said, the entire point
- 1:24:06Speaker 6: was the crown l A. Knight? You know, they just
- 1:24:10Speaker 6: I think personally it's too late. I hope it's not
- 1:24:12Speaker 6: too little too late. But we'll see that whole.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Tyson fight thing is just pure speculation on my part maybe,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I mean, but they had to drop the title in
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: something grand fashion or whatever.
- 1:24:25Speaker 6: So I understand waiting this.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Long, I suppose because it wouldn't have been nearly as
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: impactful but happened on a random SmackDown or you know,
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: why would the US title be.
- 1:24:37Speaker 6: In France or you know, but we'll see.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: To logan Paul's credit, though, he did take the prop
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: that is the United States title, you know, in the
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: places it's never been, you know, mainstream exposure, it's never
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: gotten before. But I don't think he did much of
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: anything to elevate the concept of the US title. It
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: is like a thing professional wrestlers are striving to win.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: You know, the title has been more or less rudderless.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: I think probably since Lashley last had it whenever that
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: was a couple of years ago. You know, I don't
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: have a hell of a lot of faith in l A.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: Knight elevating this title. And you know, maybe in the
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: way Guntherard did for the Icy title, but I mean.
- 1:25:20Speaker 6: A lot of people have failed. But we'll see. You know,
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: the match itself was pretty good.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: You know, we've talked about the moonshet Ellie Knight's elbow
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: was great, I think, and I hope that Ellie Knight
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: goes away for a little while. You know, I have
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: effusively praised his pro wrestling work, but he's a fucking
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: piece of shit. I'm sick of his stupid influencer friends
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: constantly interfering.
- 1:25:42Speaker 6: I'm sick of Prime.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Although that appears like it's going to be around for
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: the duration, but I think just getting him away, even
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: for a couple of weeks would do him away.
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: You know, less is more.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: As somebody said, uh, and he's a guy that can
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: come back at any time, and he's still going to
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: have heat. You know, no one's gonna forget who he is.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: And you know, he has this whole other life that
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I never I never even heard of the guy until
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: he became involved in wrestling. You know, you know, no
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: one's gonna forget about him, especially with younger kids probably
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: listening to his podcasts or watch his YouTube videos or whatever.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: So he'll still be He's not going to disappear, you know.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: So a couple of weeks, a couple of months away,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: bring him back for something.
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: I think that would do him a world of good.
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: Because too much, too much Logan Paul is not necessarily
- 1:26:33Speaker 6: a good thing.
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: That being said about Logan Paul, because yeah, you're you're right,
- 1:26:42Speaker 5: Like you know, I.
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: Don't think anybody's going to miss him in WWE or
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: anything of that nature. But I don't know if it
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: was on Logan Paul's Instagram or what, or if it
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: was his story or something. It was it was if
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: you go on Logan Paul's Instagram. I'll give him credit
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: for this. He has a hilarious h clip on his
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: Instagram about him losing the IC title and it's video
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: package of him basically like being sad and depressed that
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: he lost it and crying in a ring or whatever,
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: and it's being done to the music from the Whisky
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: Leaf of song from The Fast and Furious from Furious
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: seven movie I'll See You Again. It's worth watching that video.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: It's actually pretty well done and fucking hilarious. I'll give
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: I'll give him props for that for you know, taking
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: it in I won't say taking it in stride, but
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: at least kind of leading into it and making something
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: enjoyable out of it.
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: It's actually it's like I said, I.
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: Don't I don't follow him on Instagram, but I happen
- 1:27:52Speaker 3: to see it shared on social media earlier, and yeah,
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: like I said, it is funny. I will copy it
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: and post it in the discord for y'all to for
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: y'all to check out, because it is.
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: It's genuinely funny. But any other thoughts on this match here?
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: I hope that they can make the US title worth
- 1:28:20Speaker 6: of damn.
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: Because yeah, yeah, like I wouldn't, I would be okay
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: if they kind of swapped with the IC title, where
- 1:28:32Speaker 3: the IC belt is the one that starts to get
- 1:28:34Speaker 3: passed around a bit and we get a nice long
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: US title run.
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: Whether LA nice to guy that have that run or not?
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: Yeah, tbd on you know how well they can book him.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: But the US title definitely needs some elevation. It needs,
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: it needs a good, lengthy run more so than the
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: IC title does. Agreed, he's a lot more rehab definitely,
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: it definitely does. But moving on to match number four,
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: we had Bailey defending the WW Women's Championship against Queen
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: of the Ring Naya Jacks.
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: Match that went twelve minutes and thirty seconds.
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: And concluded with Nya Jacks pinning Bailey to become our
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: new ww Women's Championship, I mean WWE Women's Champion, and
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: I like this match, then I mean it took him. Look,
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: it did take a little while to get going. Like
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: the match itself did start off a little bit slow.
- 1:29:48Speaker 5: But after.
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: I want to say, after Bailey kicked out of the
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: first Annihilator, from that point on, this match took off
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: and it kind of went to a different level.
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: It seemed like.
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: Either Nijackson just got so pissed off that Bailey kicked
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: out or what have you. But her intensity went up
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: in this match, and I'm happy for Nya that she.
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: That she won the match.
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: I'm happy for Nya that she's champion because I've talked
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: about it on this pod before. How people talked about
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: Nya in her first run, in the reputation that she
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: had of being unsafe and dangerous and reckless and always
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: injuring other people and everybody dunking on Nijack so hard
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: and being so down on her. But she went away,
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: she put the work in, she came back better and
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: much improved in her end ring work. You ain't hurt
- 1:30:59Speaker 3: a peep from anybody about her being dangerous or reckless
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: or careless. You ain't heard nothing about her injuring nobody
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: at all whatsoever.
- 1:31:09Speaker 5: So she definitely quite.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: Popular too, yeah ways in people's Instagram videos and shit,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: and I think she was hurting people and everyone hated her.
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: That would not be the case, right, right, She's seemed
- 1:31:22Speaker 3: much more well liked now, not just by you know,
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: a small segment of the locker room or certain people
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: in the locker room, but she seems like just overall
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: across the board, well.
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: Liked and enjoyed.
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: And again she's were and it's less we're talking about
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: less than a year since she came back. It's right
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: about the year mark, but closer to maybe like eleven
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: months since she came back, and she's climbed all the
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: way to the top in that timeframe. And like I said,
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: the match yourself. After Bailey kicked out of that first Annihilator.
- 1:31:59Speaker 5: It picked up.
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: I mean, we saw that impressive spot from Bailey power
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: bombing Nia Jacks from the yeah top and not just
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: the power bomb, like carried her yep walk with her
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: for a few steps before dropping her Like that was
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: hella impressive.
- 1:32:17Speaker 5: And then you know we had we had.
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: Tiffy time just had to poke her little privileged nose
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: up in this shit. Although admittedly, you know, I think
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: that was it almost seemed like that maybe was part
- 1:32:30Speaker 3: of the plan. I think some little speculated that she
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: was meant to come out there just to distract, not
- 1:32:34Speaker 3: to actually cash in.
- 1:32:36Speaker 5: And you know, but we'll see.
- 1:32:39Speaker 3: But that gave Nijacks just enough of an opening to
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: take out Bailey and fucking give her the quick combo
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: like power bomb.
- 1:32:48Speaker 5: What else did she hit?
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: Yeah, she gave her the gun to combo like, hit
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: it with the power bomb, hit it with something else,
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: dragged her ass over into the corner and hit not
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: one but two. A note laters, she said, you won't
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: stay the fuck down this time, damn it. Yeah, props,
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: Like I said, shout out to Nia Jacks, new champion.
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: I'm here for it. What you thought? Doyle?
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: I said during the IC match that I wish they
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: had kind of flip flopped the booking of two matches,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: and this.
- 1:33:21Speaker 6: Is the one I was talking about.
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: I would have given Sammy the more resilient veteran trying
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: to hang on and made this more of a squash.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: But I guess what, I understand why they didn't do
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: that because of the Tiffany stuff makes sense. But well,
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: what we got was pretty good, I thought. But I mean,
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: this kind of seemed like a foregone conclusion. From the
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: moment Naya Jacks announced she was gonna be in the
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: Queen of the Ring, I was like, Oh, she's gonna
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: win that, and then she's gonna be Bailey and Summers,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: you know, And that's exactly what happened.
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: Not really a hell of a lot of drama here.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: But you know, as right as you said, uh, you know,
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: Naya Jax continues to be night and day better during
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: this run than she.
- 1:34:06Speaker 6: Has ever been in the past. Uh.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: And I kind of liked that they made her previous
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: reputation kind of play a little bit of a part
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: in here.
- 1:34:13Speaker 6: You know, she was yelling like, am I reckless? Now?
- 1:34:16Speaker 7: You know?
- 1:34:16Speaker 6: Stuff like that kind of worked. No clue where to
- 1:34:20Speaker 6: hell Bailey goes from here? Uh.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: I expect the nia Ja, little Naya and Tiffany relationship
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: to be pretty fucking entertaining, though, And I think eventually
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: Tiffy will in fact cash in on Naya and win
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: the championship and does turn baby face, But that's in
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: the future. I had no idea where Bailey's going, But
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: I would like to see Naya have a nice little
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: dominant uh stretch where she's just fucking wreck and shop.
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:34:51Speaker 6: I think she's earned that, you know. And like I said,
- 1:34:55Speaker 6: I think she's very popular.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: You know, anytime you see a vaccinat video or whatever,
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: she's she's petting pharaohs, she's you know, dancing with Maxine Dupree,
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: And I don't think that would be the case if
- 1:35:10Speaker 6: she wasn't you know, well liked. And I think I
- 1:35:15Speaker 6: think I think she case she could be a fucking monster.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: He'll going forward, And that's something that the women's vision
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: is kind of really needed. Is you know, there are
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: monsters are a dime a dozen for the men or whatever,
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: but you know, you don't really have too many opportunities
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: to have a woman in that kind of role.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:35:35Speaker 6: So I think I think she'll be. I expect her
- 1:35:38Speaker 6: to be really successful.
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:35:40Speaker 3: So you don't see too many monster here women, especially
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: ones that last for a sustained amount of time. There
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: was seemed to be something that's like a flash in
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: the pan. Or they try to make your work but
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: something doesn't quite connect, or something doesn't quite click, or
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: the fans don't actually boo the person, they actually fall
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: in love with him rear Ripley. So yeah, somebody like
- 1:36:03Speaker 3: Nijass can easily have a long sustained he'll run as
- 1:36:08Speaker 3: a monster heel before she enters her opponents, exactly before
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: she inevitably enters her appreciation face. So yeah, interesting though
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: that you think that Tiffany will eventually cash in on
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: Naya and become the babyface.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean babyface cheers and taking out Naya will
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: cement her I think is a baby face.
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: Because it would seem like the method in which she
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: would well, obviously it's TVD on how they play the
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: story out, because yeah, they could. They could play the
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: story that way to to where you know, she cash
- 1:36:53Speaker 3: decides to cash in order because you don't know, maybe
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: Nya's treating her like shit or treating her like some
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: you know a number two were like her, her you know.
- 1:37:02Speaker 5: Sidekick, and oh yeah, I mean there has to be
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: more to it than that.
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: Sure, but my initial thought is that is that it
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: would seem more like a helish thing to do that
- 1:37:12Speaker 3: Tiffany would do it as again seemed to be the
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: theme a betrayal of.
- 1:37:19Speaker 6: That and just.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: I see it more of as a Virgil million dollar
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: man kind of situation where just eventually she'll get sick
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: of her ship. Yeah.
- 1:37:33Speaker 5: I mean, honestly, I hadn't even thought about it that way.
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: Like I said, I just thought it was Tiffany just
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: being an opportunistic heal and just being like.
- 1:37:41Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, we're babies, we're friends, were all that stuff.
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: I don't think you can keep her heal much longer,
- 1:37:48Speaker 3: probably not, even though I'm still I mean, yeah, I'm
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: still the mindset. I still don't see why people are
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: fucking cheering her. But no, Tiffany Tiffin. Yeah, Like, look,
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: it doesn't I don't believe that that many fans on
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: the main roster are aware of her NXT work to
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: warrant them cheering her like this, because nothing about what
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: she's done on the main roster says babyface, nothing about
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: she hasn't put She hasn't put the time in on
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: the main roster.
- 1:38:24Speaker 5: It's not like she has.
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: It's not like she came in here with a whole
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: bunch of like indie cred or anything like that. So
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: what is it about her that warrants this following that
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: she has? I just don't know what it is, And
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: like I said, I you can't. You can't say it's
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: NXT because plenty of other people have come from NXT
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: and didn't have the following and don't immediately get the
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: cheer and have put in the work and have put
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: in great matches.
- 1:38:53Speaker 5: So I don't think it's that.
- 1:38:55Speaker 3: And also NXT itself isn't a large enough fan base
- 1:38:59Speaker 3: to have you pop up on the main roster and
- 1:39:02Speaker 3: just immediately be, you know, cheer like, oh, you're finally here.
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: Because Ron didn't get that Bron is Bron is kind
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: of like fifty to fifty with the fans as far
- 1:39:12Speaker 3: as who's cheering and who's booing. Iliat Dragonov hasn't gotten that,
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: Carmelo Hayes hasn't gotten that. Lyra Valkyria hasn't gotten that.
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: Like she's better than absolutely everybody who just named who
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: Lyra h Tiffany think Tiffany.
- 1:39:31Speaker 6: Stratton is better than everybody who just named And that
- 1:39:34Speaker 6: might that might be the answer you're looking for.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Are you're saying talented was really very talented and super
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: ready to be on the main.
- 1:39:41Speaker 6: Roster and that might be enough.
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: Oh I'm not doubting that by any means that she
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: is talented and Maine roster ready. And you know, but
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: I think you could say I think you could have
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: arguably said that about Carmelo at one point in his
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: uh NXT run, And I think you could definitely say
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: that about Ilia Dragon Off. Those two have been cooking
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: and uh n XC. Hell, you could have said that
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: about Broun for a point. Remember we all thinking that
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: Bron was gonna come to the main roster a year
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: before he actually did, because everybody thought he was that ready.
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: But something, for some reason, everybody just looked at Tiffany
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: and his immediately just yay. And I just again, I
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: don't not that I hate her or dislike her or
- 1:40:33Speaker 3: anything like that. I just I just don't understand where
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: it is coming from.
- 1:40:39Speaker 6: Well that's that's kind of how I feel about Bron.
- 1:40:46Speaker 5: Yeah, so we both have we both have our undeserving wrestler. Yeah,
- 1:40:52Speaker 5: it's like, why do they like you? But Wayne, were
- 1:40:59Speaker 5: you on this er match?
- 1:41:03Speaker 7: Well, you know, like Doyle said, this was kind of inevitable, right,
- 1:41:07Speaker 7: we kind of knew where this match was going to,
- 1:41:09Speaker 7: new that Bailey was not gonna be walking out champion.
- 1:41:12Speaker 7: They've been pushing Naya pretty hard ever since before, I'd say,
- 1:41:19Speaker 7: like around the time when she came back and she
- 1:41:21Speaker 7: started feuding with Becky and she beat Becky clean that
- 1:41:24Speaker 7: one night on RALL. That's when I was like, oh damn,
- 1:41:26Speaker 7: they're gonna start like pushing her, and they did. It
- 1:41:29Speaker 7: was just in the background until she got Queen the
- 1:41:32Speaker 7: Ring and then it's like, Okay, now she's got Queen
- 1:41:34Speaker 7: the Ring. Now she's guaranteed a title shot. And so
- 1:41:38Speaker 7: she got back right in the title picture pretty quickly. Uh,
- 1:41:45Speaker 7: and yeah, I agree with you guys. In this secondary
- 1:41:50Speaker 7: run she's had, she has been a lot safer, a
- 1:41:54Speaker 7: lot better. Maybe it's what I think too. Maybe they
- 1:42:00Speaker 7: decided to switch some certain moves in her repertoire, you know,
- 1:42:04Speaker 7: maybe she had a certain move set that was like
- 1:42:06Speaker 7: hurting people. Maybe her finisher whatever it was before the Annihilator.
- 1:42:13Speaker 7: I don't know what her finisher was before the Annihilator.
- 1:42:16Speaker 7: Maybe that was hurting people and doing something as simple
- 1:42:19Speaker 7: as changing a finisher could do a lot. But yeah,
- 1:42:24Speaker 7: she seems very like backstage. So yeah, I'm happy for
- 1:42:30Speaker 7: this title run, this heel title run. I hope it's
- 1:42:34Speaker 7: I hope it's a while I don't see Tiffy like
- 1:42:40Speaker 7: Tiffany Stretton like cash in on Naya anytime soon. There's
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: gonna be attempts or ideas of it, temptations, but to
- 1:42:52Speaker 7: act on it. I think it's gonna be on a
- 1:42:54Speaker 7: big stage. I don't think you're gonna see that a
- 1:42:56Speaker 7: raw or a SmackDown or something, you know. And and
- 1:43:01Speaker 7: I agree, guys, I don't know where Bailey goes from here.
- 1:43:04Speaker 7: Maybe Bailey takes some time off. She's been you know,
- 1:43:10Speaker 7: riding hard with uh damage Control and then leaving damage
- 1:43:15Speaker 7: Control and then kind of going on her own and
- 1:43:19Speaker 7: then you know, losing the title and Ny she's tell
- 1:43:23Speaker 7: the title for like one hundred and eighteen days. I
- 1:43:24Speaker 7: think it was so it was a while.
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody that wanted to WrestleMania had they kept showing that.
- 1:43:35Speaker 6: Since then.
- 1:43:36Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly, Logo Paul was the only one who was
- 1:43:39Speaker 7: more than one hundred and eighteen days. But yeah, so true.
- 1:43:43Speaker 7: But yeah, not not a bad match at all. I
- 1:43:46Speaker 7: was so impressed with that that power bomb, like the
- 1:43:49Speaker 7: way she held her up, you know, because she was
- 1:43:51Speaker 7: on the top rope getting ready for the Annihilator, and
- 1:43:54Speaker 7: you guys are right, she walked like almost halfwaycross that
- 1:43:56Speaker 7: ring before she set her down, And I liked what
- 1:43:59Speaker 7: I like.
- 1:44:00Speaker 6: I think it's about that who knew she had that?
- 1:44:03Speaker 7: Yeah? What I liked most is the the fact that
- 1:44:07Speaker 7: the rec the reactions of the fans, like their faces.
- 1:44:10Speaker 7: You can see them all standing up like, oh my god,
- 1:44:13Speaker 7: like you know that was impressive. Uh you know, I
- 1:44:18Speaker 7: I think you were right drag Like once she kicked
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: out of that annihilator, uh, and I was like, I'm
- 1:44:25Speaker 7: a fucking puts you away now? Like she picked up, Yeah,
- 1:44:30Speaker 7: she power bombed her and then she rolled her and
- 1:44:32Speaker 7: then picked her up and power bombed her again, like
- 1:44:34Speaker 7: jackknife her. It wasn't even like I always saw like
- 1:44:37Speaker 7: a jackknife and a power bomb where we're similar but different,
- 1:44:41Speaker 7: because I always think of like the way Kevin Nash
- 1:44:44Speaker 7: would do a jackknife.
- 1:44:45Speaker 5: Which was basically like a release power bomb.
- 1:44:47Speaker 7: Yeah, basically like just throwing out the trash, just like
- 1:44:50Speaker 7: throwing you out there, just tossing your ass. But yeah,
- 1:44:53Speaker 7: she like hit her a jack knife at the end
- 1:44:55Speaker 7: then just and I was like, oh god damn. Then
- 1:44:57Speaker 7: she just grabs her arm and drags her fuck carcass
- 1:45:00Speaker 7: over to the rope and annihilates her twice twice, puts
- 1:45:06Speaker 7: her away for the three count.
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: So yeah, like that's that's yeah, that's in that second
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: half of that match is the kind of Naia Jacks
- 1:45:17Speaker 3: we need to see going forward. That intensity she went
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: off on Bailey, Like I'm watching the sequence now after
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: the kickout, like she freaking slams Bailey's head against the
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: mat for like like four or five times, freaking grabs
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: her and head buttser like four times. Then you know,
- 1:45:35Speaker 3: gets a little cocky, starts smacking her around. Bailly tries
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: to fight back. Then I just starts clubbing the shad
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: at her in the corner like there was you know,
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: that showed to me a good level of ring psychology,
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: Like you're thinking about your character in this match, like
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: you think you have it won, and this woman kicks
- 1:45:54Speaker 3: out and now you're just irate and now you're not
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: just you're not going just going through the emotions before
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: just doing your old signature moves, Like no, your whole
- 1:46:04Speaker 3: style changed up from then you went. You became much
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: more vicious, much more violent in your moves, not just
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: like I'm just gonna hit the regular old slam that
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: I always do is like now I'm out to like
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: genuinely just whoop your fucking ass now. And like I said, Bailey,
- 1:46:22Speaker 3: props to her. She was you know she she she
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: did what uh Sammy's Ain couldn't do, put up a
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: good fight. She was much more resilient. And yeah, I
- 1:46:39Speaker 3: think about what y'all said. I don't know where Bailey
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: goes from here. I don't see her. I could see
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: her maybe being off for a few weeks, but I
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: don't think she's gonna take like an extended vacation, although
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: you could argue she has earned one because she been
- 1:46:52Speaker 3: going hard pretty much NonStop since Summer Slam twenty twenty two.
- 1:47:00Speaker 5: When she returned and formed Damage Control.
- 1:47:03Speaker 6: That sounds about right.
- 1:47:04Speaker 5: Yeah, but uh, who.
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: Just looking at the roster, I mean sort of a
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: Tiffany Stratton cash and who else seems credible enough to
- 1:47:21Speaker 3: or who else on the roster seems like they could
- 1:47:23Speaker 3: dethrow Nia Jacks because honestly, I even because a Tiffany
- 1:47:28Speaker 3: Stratton cash in to me can't just happen, you know,
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: off of any old match, Niajacks has to be in
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: a match with somebody who actually wears her out, you know,
- 1:47:42Speaker 3: like she she ain't cashing in after a Nia Jackson
- 1:47:46Speaker 3: Naomi match. Sorry love Naomi, but she she to me,
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: she ain't. She's not the caliber of person that's gonna
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: put Nia Jacks through so hard of a fight that
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: she can't defend herself in against Tiffany Stratton afterwards.
- 1:48:02Speaker 6: Right, I don't know what's going on.
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: With Raquel Rodriguez. I could see her filling that role
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: if she were available.
- 1:48:13Speaker 6: She looks like she could actually yeah, match up with
- 1:48:18Speaker 6: her maybe, you know, yeah, I wouldn't expect to be
- 1:48:23Speaker 6: able to be.
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, Yeah, I don't know what's the status for Raquel.
- 1:48:27Speaker 3: I know she essentially like not retired, but is like
- 1:48:34Speaker 3: out indefinitely because of the skin condition that.
- 1:48:37Speaker 6: She will come back, and then she was gone just
- 1:48:40Speaker 6: as quick.
- 1:48:40Speaker 3: Yeah, because I guess that that condition was more complicated
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: or more serious than they thought. So she's kind of
- 1:48:48Speaker 3: in that indefinitely injured but not injured but basically out indefinitely, thinks.
- 1:48:53Speaker 5: So there's no telling something like her.
- 1:48:57Speaker 6: Is able to come back. I think she would be
- 1:49:00Speaker 6: a greater prom for Nia Jacks.
- 1:49:01Speaker 5: But mm hmm, any thoughts, Wayne, I'm.
- 1:49:13Speaker 7: Looking through the roster and like the only people I
- 1:49:15Speaker 7: can see, but they're an attack team Bianca and Jay Cargol.
- 1:49:19Speaker 7: But their attack team SmackDown does not have any strong
- 1:49:25Speaker 7: face wrestlers.
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: They have.
- 1:49:29Speaker 7: Bailey Bianca. Uh do you argue b fab Ah No, yeah,
- 1:49:39Speaker 7: I know not no, yeah, you're right.
- 1:49:42Speaker 2: No, then.
- 1:49:44Speaker 7: Bianca, Indy or no, not even Ja Cargo, Bianca and
- 1:49:50Speaker 7: Bailey that's the only faces you have because Canceler, Ray,
- 1:49:55Speaker 7: Chelsea Green, Piper Evan.
- 1:49:59Speaker 5: Chelsea Green.
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: Maybe not now, but I think Chelsea Green is babyface
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: bound at some point and also shut out to I
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: also appreciate that.
- 1:50:13Speaker 5: Piper. Yeah yes, big meaty women slapping meat. Yeah yeah.
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: I guess if if Piper decided to go face because
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: right now that would be just be heel on heel violence.
- 1:50:35Speaker 5: Chelsea Chelsea had.
- 1:50:36Speaker 3: Like I said, I think she's she's baby face bound,
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: but not champion ready yet.
- 1:50:43Speaker 5: She's gonna have to get that.
- 1:50:44Speaker 3: She's gonna have to one get that baby face turned
- 1:50:47Speaker 3: to happen, and then she then you can push her
- 1:50:51Speaker 3: up the roster and eventually cash in or challenge for
- 1:50:56Speaker 3: a title. I don't know that it's against n Jacks,
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: but I don't know in my mind, I'm thinking that
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: the way this title is gonna go is Nia will
- 1:51:07Speaker 3: be champion until they decide that Tiffany is ready, and
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: then Tiffany will cash in on Naya become champion, and
- 1:51:15Speaker 3: then Tiffany will probably be champion until they decide Jade
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: is Cargills ready, and I could see Ja car Gill.
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: Kind of hate to say it, I can almost see
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: j Cargill low key squashing Tiffany Stratton for champion. H
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: And that's and again not a knock on Tiffany Stratton,
- 1:51:36Speaker 3: but I could just see them going that route with Jade.
- 1:51:43Speaker 7: Yeah, it's very possible, man. Yeah, I can't argue that.
- 1:51:49Speaker 7: I guess we'll see that. They they really don't have
- 1:51:53Speaker 7: a huge if they we think they do when you
- 1:51:57Speaker 7: really look.
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: At it, they have the rosters they just don't have
- 1:52:04Speaker 3: I'm not gonna say they don't. Yeah, it's it's kind
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: of lopsided. There's well, I will say it's not lopsided.
- 1:52:13Speaker 3: It's not very evenly spread out. You got a small
- 1:52:17Speaker 3: handful at the top and then a whole bunch of
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: sub mid tier. There's there's no there's not really much
- 1:52:25Speaker 3: of it in between. There where those people who could
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: be like they're the mid tier talent, they're the next
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: one's up to become the main event talent like that.
- 1:52:37Speaker 3: I think that's where the weakness is that and again
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: why they need a mid tier title so that they
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: can start to fill in the mid tier on their roster.
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: But we can talk about that and definitely, so let's
- 1:52:52Speaker 3: just move on to the next match, which was Drew
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: McIntyre facing See Him Punk with Seth Freaking Rollins as
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: a special guest referee.
- 1:53:06Speaker 5: And what they used to call back in the day
- 1:53:08Speaker 5: a grudge match.
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: This one went on for seventeen minutes, second longest match
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: of the night, and eventually so Drew McIntyre, to my surprise,
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: come out on top. I definitely thought seem Punk was
- 1:53:25Speaker 3: gonna get round one of this one, and I think
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: we had talked about on the previous show that the
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: possibility of the Summer Slam ninety seven finish, which they
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: definitely alluded to that. Yeah, with Seeing Punk coming out
- 1:53:42Speaker 3: in the black and pink and you know, Drew coming
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: out with the rope tak.
- 1:53:49Speaker 5: Yeah, even Seth with his blond hair, like it was
- 1:53:53Speaker 5: all there.
- 1:53:54Speaker 3: I almost think they did that. I'm gonna say, its
- 1:53:56Speaker 3: almost ank. I think they did that on purpose. They
- 1:54:02Speaker 3: absolutely swerved us on intentionally, like they this was deliberately
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: to play the marks out there. Yep, because they like
- 1:54:12Speaker 3: they knew everybody was like, Oh, they're gonna do this,
- 1:54:14Speaker 3: They're gonna do this. Oh you think we're gonna do that. Fine,
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: we're gonna make you think we're doing that, and then
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: we're gonna go left.
- 1:54:22Speaker 5: And I give them.
- 1:54:23Speaker 3: I give them props because I had once you brought
- 1:54:26Speaker 3: it up, I had bought in because I hadn't thought
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: about it until you mentioned it, and then once I
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: saw it, I was like, holy shit, and I bought
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: in all the way on it, and then I Yeah.
- 1:54:41Speaker 3: But the match itself was a great match. There was
- 1:54:44Speaker 3: tons of storytelling in this match, tons of excellent work
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: on everybody's part. I for me, it's not quite my
- 1:54:59Speaker 3: match of the night. I would say it's probably my
- 1:55:05Speaker 3: If I'm being objective, I'll say it's probably the second
- 1:55:08Speaker 3: best match of the night.
- 1:55:09Speaker 5: But I think it was my third favorite match.
- 1:55:13Speaker 3: I still like the Niajacks Bailey match more than this one,
- 1:55:16Speaker 3: just on a personal level. But I can sit back
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: and objectively say that the Drew Seampunk match was probably
- 1:55:23Speaker 3: objectively better, but again, I was just personally more invested
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: in the Nijacks and Bailey match. But what were your
- 1:55:31Speaker 3: thoughts on this one, Doyle? I imagine you got plenty
- 1:55:33Speaker 3: to say on this one.
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, ultimately not doing the exact same finish
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: as ninety seven is probably a good thing.
- 1:55:42Speaker 7: I too.
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: Boy Hoodli and Zacher, Oh that's what they're doing, and
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: especially the way they came out, you know, each stressed apart.
- 1:55:48Speaker 6: I was like, oh, and I'm glad.
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: I mean they even did the Seth almost hit Punk
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: with the chair but stopped himself. I mean, they definitely.
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: I think even Michael Cole said like, this is Shade's
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: ninety seven or something like that. So I'm glad they
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: didn't do that at the end of the day, even
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: though I kind of wanted.
- 1:56:06Speaker 6: Punk physically. I mean, you know, it looked a little
- 1:56:09Speaker 6: better I think than he did at the Rumble, just
- 1:56:11Speaker 6: in terms of he was a little doe maybe at
- 1:56:14Speaker 6: the Rumble.
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: But man, I mean they say, they say the only
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: really way to get in ring shape is to be
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: in the ring, and that must be true, because man,
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: Phil was fucking blown the fuck up almost immediately.
- 1:56:26Speaker 6: He was sucking wind.
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: And you know, on the preview, I said, I jokingly
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: said that there were six title matches and one about
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: a bracelet. I really didn't expect a bracelet to play
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: such a huge role.
- 1:56:40Speaker 5: In this man.
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: And I know I made this joke in the discord,
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: but uh, that thing must be made out of fucking
- 1:56:47Speaker 1: vibranium or something. Because as a brother to a little sister,
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: I have seen many many friendship bracelets.
- 1:56:54Speaker 5: The break.
- 1:56:56Speaker 6: Many my fault.
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: But this one was off and on and up and
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: getting thrown and tossed around and still stayed together.
- 1:57:02Speaker 6: I don't know how the hell they manage that, because
- 1:57:05Speaker 6: those things fucking break. But Drew winning did surprise me.
- 1:57:09Speaker 6: I really thought I thought Punk was gonna win. I
- 1:57:16Speaker 6: didn't think they would, after ten.
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: Years away, have him lose his first one on one
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: television match, you know. And I really thought this might
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: be the end of Punk and Drew, and then we
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: just would be leading into Punk rollins, which seemed like
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: it was always you know, in play or whatever.
- 1:57:35Speaker 6: But I don't know if they're writing Seth off TV
- 1:57:38Speaker 6: for a little while or what.
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: But at any rate, he's going to be I assume
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: tied up with Bronson Reid for a little while, but
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: we got to deal with Drew still, and Drew still
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: has the bracelet, So I guess Punk and Drew was
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: going to continue, maybe a hell on the cell at
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: Bad Blood or something like that, but we shall see.
- 1:58:00Speaker 6: Yeah, it was pretty good.
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: It was better than I thought it would be, actually,
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: But man, Punk, he looked like he needed a fucking
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: oxygen tank after that one. Andrew might be the fucking
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: MVP of twenty twenty four thus far, so I think
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: it'll be interesting to see where these two two go.
- 1:58:21Speaker 6: In the future. I don't know what the hell Seth
- 1:58:23Speaker 6: is doing.
- 1:58:24Speaker 1: Maybe they're just going to remove Seth from the equation
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: altogether for the time being, which probably is a good thing.
- 1:58:31Speaker 1: The less people involved, maybe the better, you know, you
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: can narrow the focus.
- 1:58:37Speaker 6: A little better.
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: But yeah, when I made that joke about this match
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: mean for a bracelet, I really didn't expect that.
- 1:58:45Speaker 6: That was going to happen.
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: Yeah, well, mean, based upon what we saw on Raw Monday,
- 1:58:52Speaker 3: it doesn't seem like Seth's going to be out of
- 1:58:53Speaker 3: the picture as of yet, because he ain't waste no
- 1:58:58Speaker 3: time coming out there in Uh, was it Seth that
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: came out on Punk or was a Punk that came
- 1:59:04Speaker 3: out on Seth.
- 1:59:08Speaker 5: Monday?
- 1:59:08Speaker 7: It might even Punk come out to Seth.
- 1:59:11Speaker 6: Yeah, but they had they had Bronze and Red destroying
- 1:59:13Speaker 6: Punk rollins. Yeah.
- 1:59:15Speaker 5: Oh yeah, you're right. I forgot. I forget about the
- 1:59:18Speaker 5: pancake and that motherfucker, I.
- 1:59:21Speaker 1: Think off TV for a couple of weeks. Or if
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: he isn't, he's gonna be dealing with that. He's not
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: going to care about Punk the time being.
- 1:59:29Speaker 7: Yeah, right now, that and so they can keep this
- 1:59:32Speaker 7: feud with Drew and Punk still cooking, because let's face
- 1:59:36Speaker 7: the guys, we're not done yet. We still got a
- 1:59:38Speaker 7: lot of meat left on the bone and sew and
- 1:59:40Speaker 7: and I'm all for it, dude, I'm all for it.
- 1:59:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:59:44Speaker 3: I think we're I still think we're on path towards
- 1:59:48Speaker 3: a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. But
- 1:59:51Speaker 3: it may be Drew and Punk as opposed to uh,
- 1:59:56Speaker 3: what we may have thought was going to be like
- 1:59:58Speaker 3: Drew and Seth or Seth than Punk or something like that.
- 2:00:01Speaker 3: I think we might be heading towards Drew and Punk
- 2:00:04Speaker 3: finishing up, finishing, finishing this up once and for all at.
- 2:00:11Speaker 5: Bad Blood.
- 2:00:13Speaker 3: So maybe a shade to Summer Slam ninety seven but
- 2:00:17Speaker 3: just remixed a bit. Perhaps what was the one thing
- 2:00:26Speaker 3: I was going to say about.
- 2:00:29Speaker 5: This match? Shit lost my train thought, I know.
- 2:00:40Speaker 3: There's something I was gonna say in regards to this match,
- 2:00:44Speaker 3: but yeah, it slipped my mind at this point. But
- 2:00:52Speaker 3: since we kind of talked about it briefly, Jesus, that
- 2:00:57Speaker 3: freaking I'll say it again, that damn pancaking that Seth
- 2:01:02Speaker 3: took from Bronson Reed Monday.
- 2:01:06Speaker 5: Yeah, like, damn, yeah.
- 2:01:09Speaker 7: I'm excited. It is this fresh, a fresh feud for Seth.
- 2:01:14Speaker 7: If that's the case, I'm excited because we need something
- 2:01:18Speaker 7: like this, We need something fresh, we need and make
- 2:01:22Speaker 7: it or break it. That's what it is for Broun,
- 2:01:24Speaker 7: for Bronson Reed, it's like, we're gonna put you in
- 2:01:29Speaker 7: with Seth Rollins, make it or break it.
- 2:01:32Speaker 3: It's a fresh feud so long as Seth doesn't come
- 2:01:36Speaker 3: back and immediately beat him in the first match. If
- 2:01:39Speaker 3: all we get is Seth just out for a few
- 2:01:42Speaker 3: weeks and then he comes back.
- 2:01:43Speaker 5: Bronton Red, get your ass in his frying on one
- 2:01:46Speaker 5: right now.
- 2:01:47Speaker 3: And then Seth Rawlins beats him, then was the point, Yeah,
- 2:01:52Speaker 3: like there's gonna be a few then, Yeah, it needs
- 2:01:55Speaker 3: to cook for a month or two, you know, Bronton
- 2:01:58Speaker 3: need to do more than just you know, so nami
- 2:02:01Speaker 3: this motherfucker to death. Yeah, they I freaking Michael Cole
- 2:02:07Speaker 3: still can't say it right. Why did they separate Bronson
- 2:02:12Speaker 3: Reid and Wade Barrett? I will never understand because nobody
- 2:02:16Speaker 3: can say it like Wade Barrett does.
- 2:02:18Speaker 7: So, Oh he's going soon, know me, We're going to
- 2:02:23Speaker 7: be soaked.
- 2:02:26Speaker 5: He made that freaking he made that finisher.
- 2:02:31Speaker 3: But the whole time I was watching that shit was
- 2:02:33Speaker 3: all I could think to myself was it's like twelve
- 2:02:35Speaker 3: of y'all, motherfucker's in the ring.
- 2:02:38Speaker 5: Why are y'all trying to stop this guy from going up?
- 2:02:41Speaker 5: Just drag Seth out the way.
- 2:02:44Speaker 3: And it wasn't till like after the sixth one when
- 2:02:46Speaker 3: somebody finally they finally realized just just move south and
- 2:02:49Speaker 3: they finally dragged him out the ring before it happened again.
- 2:02:52Speaker 5: It's like, yeah, Jesus, like it's fifteen on this long
- 2:02:57Speaker 5: to figure that out, save that man so much pain?
- 2:03:04Speaker 5: Oh shit, I didn't realize that Rock's mom was at
- 2:03:06Speaker 5: Summer Slam.
- 2:03:09Speaker 6: Yeah she hugged a Yeah.
- 2:03:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm just happy to see that right now.
- 2:03:13Speaker 3: But like, yeah, I just I just and eventually it
- 2:03:18Speaker 3: just became kind of comical to me that up there
- 2:03:20Speaker 3: he goes again. It's like ten motherfuckers just telling me, no, no,
- 2:03:26Speaker 3: do it, Like just go grab Seth and foozle them.
- 2:03:32Speaker 5: Just grab Seth and pull.
- 2:03:37Speaker 3: Like shit, Seth need to come back and swing on
- 2:03:39Speaker 3: them damn referees and him take that many.
- 2:03:43Speaker 5: He's just on the ground like just help me, don't
- 2:03:48Speaker 5: stop him, help me. But yeah, I did it.
- 2:03:55Speaker 3: But it was awesome though, because I mean, it's been
- 2:03:58Speaker 3: a while since you've seen somebody get just crushed like that.
- 2:04:04Speaker 5: It was it was nice to see.
- 2:04:08Speaker 7: So next match, would you like my opinion on the
- 2:04:15Speaker 7: Sampunk McIntire, I'm sorry, that's okay, you're excited. Uh, you know,
- 2:04:26Speaker 7: you know I've been waiting to see Punk back in
- 2:04:29Speaker 7: a w W ring for a long time.
- 2:04:31Speaker 6: You know.
- 2:04:32Speaker 7: We got a little bit of it at the Rumble,
- 2:04:35Speaker 7: and he he was gassed there and he was gassed here.
- 2:04:40Speaker 7: But I'm still happy to see him in the ring.
- 2:04:43Speaker 7: I'm still happy to see him back in this company.
- 2:04:46Speaker 7: You know, I'm just I'm grateful because I didn't think
- 2:04:49Speaker 7: i'd ever see Punk back, I'd ever see him work
- 2:04:53Speaker 7: a program with Seth Rollins again or Drew McIntyre like. So,
- 2:04:57Speaker 7: I am very grateful and that no injuries came out
- 2:05:02Speaker 7: of this match, thank god.
- 2:05:03Speaker 5: Man.
- 2:05:04Speaker 7: Let me tell you how I was holding my breath, like,
- 2:05:06Speaker 7: please don't let Punk In injured again. I don't want
- 2:05:09Speaker 7: this to be like a fucking thing with him, please.
- 2:05:12Speaker 7: So No, that all went well, They got lots of time.
- 2:05:19Speaker 7: The story between all three of these guys are great.
- 2:05:22Speaker 7: Now there now there's a bracelet involved, and now the
- 2:05:25Speaker 7: owner of the bracelet wants compensation for their bracelet being
- 2:05:28Speaker 7: part of a storyline.
- 2:05:30Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:05:33Speaker 7: The feud with Rollins and Punk is still on the burner,
- 2:05:37Speaker 7: and I love it he give him that GTS. You know,
- 2:05:42Speaker 7: that was solidifying, like this shit ain't over yet, you know,
- 2:05:44Speaker 7: like took that damn bracelet back then and then and
- 2:05:48Speaker 7: then Drew back soon as he gives him that low blow, man,
- 2:05:50Speaker 7: I was like, ah, fuck, here we go. So I
- 2:05:54Speaker 7: guess Trew's gonna get the first w right, because, like
- 2:05:57Speaker 7: I said, there's so much meat left on this bone
- 2:05:59Speaker 7: of this feud is ain't gonna be over it just
- 2:06:01Speaker 7: one match in a way, and fuck it's gonna be
- 2:06:03Speaker 7: over at Bad Blood, and I hope it's in a
- 2:06:06Speaker 7: hell in a cell, you know, like that's how you're
- 2:06:09Speaker 7: gonna end a feud. But uh, I don't know when
- 2:06:13Speaker 7: I when I I think about it. Maybe and Drew
- 2:06:17Speaker 7: winning the first match, the first big w makes me
- 2:06:21Speaker 7: kind of think that he might not win this feud.
- 2:06:25Speaker 7: You know, you may win the battle, but he might
- 2:06:28Speaker 7: not win the war. So this could be that storyline
- 2:06:33Speaker 7: where the good guy prevails at the end, even though
- 2:06:39Speaker 7: Drew is a good guy his own story, you know,
- 2:06:43Speaker 7: because he's the one who constantly keeps getting screwed. I
- 2:06:46Speaker 7: get it. But we prayed for this, Drew, and this
- 2:06:51Speaker 7: is what happens. I prayed for this. But uh yeah,
- 2:06:56Speaker 7: overall it was great. I loved it. Uh punk and
- 2:07:01Speaker 7: take the l it. It actually didn't matter who would
- 2:07:04Speaker 7: take it. It didn't matter they both can afford it.
- 2:07:07Speaker 7: Because this is a feud, This is a long food
- 2:07:09Speaker 7: This isn't This isn't ending here, guys, So for those
- 2:07:13Speaker 7: who are still wanting more of this, don't worry, and uh,
- 2:07:18Speaker 7: I am pretty sure Seth is right after, you know,
- 2:07:23Speaker 7: after the feud with Drew and and then I was thinking,
- 2:07:27Speaker 7: like down further down the road, he knew who. I
- 2:07:31Speaker 7: really think they were kind of teasing and planting the
- 2:07:35Speaker 7: seeds for maybe down the road, after these two feuds
- 2:07:39Speaker 7: are done, maybe we get to see them Punk just
- 2:07:43Speaker 7: Kevin Owens, that's a feud. I want to see. That's
- 2:07:48Speaker 7: something very interesting. You know they kind of they kind
- 2:07:52Speaker 7: of been pointing at it. You know, Punk has been
- 2:07:55Speaker 7: backstage with Ko asked him, hey, have you seen Nick
- 2:07:59Speaker 7: Allis's office and locker room? And no, you know, just
- 2:08:05Speaker 7: the way they interact with each other.
- 2:08:09Speaker 6: There was a.
- 2:08:11Speaker 7: I don't know, Kevin Owens was backstage and he he uh,
- 2:08:15Speaker 7: I don't know. He saw like, uh seeing Punk, Like
- 2:08:19Speaker 7: what's that? I don't know what it was merchandise of
- 2:08:22Speaker 7: punks and he like threw it on the ground or something.
- 2:08:26Speaker 7: It's just small ship. I just like planting seas for
- 2:08:29Speaker 7: maybe a few down the road. I'd love to see that.
- 2:08:32Speaker 5: But that's how it starts.
- 2:08:33Speaker 3: A lots like now, a little small stuff that was
- 2:08:37Speaker 3: a little small blink and you miss at moments.
- 2:08:39Speaker 7: Yeah, like like the like we said for a long time,
- 2:08:44Speaker 7: like oh we saw live and dom like in a
- 2:08:47Speaker 7: hotel like talking. And then you know, we never found
- 2:08:51Speaker 7: out what happened to the card, the key, the hotel card.
- 2:08:54Speaker 7: And then we also find out, uh, you know what,
- 2:08:57Speaker 7: she destroyed the Judgment Days locker room. She destroy Finn
- 2:09:00Speaker 7: Ballace picture, you know, and Finn Balad is the one
- 2:09:03Speaker 7: who ended up turning and now is the leader of
- 2:09:05Speaker 7: the Judgment Day. Like little things we notice, you know,
- 2:09:11Speaker 7: little tiny things we can pick up.
- 2:09:14Speaker 1: You don't always get answers though, you know, we still
- 2:09:18Speaker 1: don't know who raised the briefcase on Stone Cold. We
- 2:09:22Speaker 1: still don't know who's behind GTV. Yeah, oh yeah, I
- 2:09:30Speaker 1: think we want to get back to Judgment Day talk.
- 2:09:32Speaker 1: I think, uh yeah, I think Finn is eventually gonna
- 2:09:35Speaker 1: be outed as like the mastermind behind.
- 2:09:38Speaker 2: All of this.
- 2:09:38Speaker 7: So yeah, for sure the bad guy.
- 2:09:42Speaker 1: And I know, I mean, it's about time Finn has
- 2:09:44Speaker 1: something to do because he's just been a lackey for
- 2:09:46Speaker 1: so long.
- 2:09:47Speaker 6: I would love to see him return to prominence.
- 2:09:50Speaker 3: Well yeah, think kind of alluded to it on Raw
- 2:09:53Speaker 3: this past Monday when he uh spoke about uh Damien
- 2:09:58Speaker 3: and you know, saying like how Damien was the one
- 2:10:01Speaker 3: who changed after he became champion, and how you know
- 2:10:05Speaker 3: he started thinking he was.
- 2:10:07Speaker 5: Better about everybody else.
- 2:10:08Speaker 6: There's no leaders, but.
- 2:10:09Speaker 5: There's no leaders, no egos, YadA, YadA. We're all in
- 2:10:12Speaker 5: this together.
- 2:10:14Speaker 3: And apparently now that's what Judgment Day is now back
- 2:10:18Speaker 3: to supposed to be. Oh yeah, yeah, Adria and.
- 2:10:27Speaker 7: Oh now it just contract over on a w that
- 2:10:30Speaker 7: he'll come back and then they'll form the Judgment Day
- 2:10:32Speaker 7: two point zero.
- 2:10:34Speaker 6: Yes, Judgment civil War had pass on.
- 2:10:38Speaker 7: That I know, right, it's hard fucking fast, hard, hard fast.
- 2:10:47Speaker 7: I was gonna say. After after this match, they showed
- 2:10:50Speaker 7: an ad for the new Call of Duty game that's
- 2:10:54Speaker 7: on game Pass right now. I'm playing it currently, and
- 2:10:57Speaker 7: they have w W wrestlers in it. You can play
- 2:11:00Speaker 7: as a re of Ripley Ray Mystereo or Cody Rhodes,
- 2:11:06Speaker 7: and I think it's funny because they're when I'm playing,
- 2:11:10Speaker 7: they're in their wrestling gear and uh, like, I don't know,
- 2:11:15Speaker 7: there's nothing really intimidating about like Cody Rhods running around
- 2:11:18Speaker 7: with a shirt off with a gun. It's like they
- 2:11:21Speaker 7: should be like full gear of some kind, like it
- 2:11:26Speaker 7: is agree. I am playing like I'm trying to unlock.
- 2:11:29Speaker 7: They had events of the past couple of days, I've
- 2:11:31Speaker 7: been trying to unlock just ww stuff, banners, whatever. I'm
- 2:11:37Speaker 7: working towards characters. They also had like the if you
- 2:11:40Speaker 7: watch the show The Boys, so they have characters from
- 2:11:42Speaker 7: the Boys, like Homelander and stuff. But my favorite part
- 2:11:47Speaker 7: is yesterday I was playing Call of Duty and I
- 2:11:51Speaker 7: had Rea Ripley on my team and me and her
- 2:11:54Speaker 7: are like in this house, were bunker down, and we
- 2:11:58Speaker 7: hear this voice behind us, very familiar voice, and I'm like,
- 2:12:03Speaker 7: whose voice is that. I turn around and it's fucking
- 2:12:07Speaker 7: Snoop Dogg. They have Snoop Dogg in the game voice
- 2:12:11Speaker 7: at all. I was like, oh, this is awesome shit
- 2:12:15Speaker 7: because I remember Snoop Dogg plays a lot of Call
- 2:12:18Speaker 7: of Duty, so yeah, he's in the game. But yeah,
- 2:12:22Speaker 7: I just wound up quick put that in before we
- 2:12:25Speaker 7: move on to the next match.
- 2:12:27Speaker 3: Oh sorry, go ahead, obtuly I don't play Call of Duty. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:12:33Speaker 3: I haven't played Call of Duty in years. But it's
- 2:12:37Speaker 3: to me, it's kind of sad seeing Call of Duty
- 2:12:39Speaker 3: go the fortnight we're out, Like imagine you want a
- 2:12:43Speaker 3: fucking you were sitting there with camping, trying to snipe somebody,
- 2:12:48Speaker 3: and then the motherfucker come up with six one nine
- 2:12:50Speaker 3: yeo out.
- 2:12:50Speaker 5: Of nowhere, and that's how you get taken out.
- 2:12:54Speaker 7: It's so fucking funny. It's so funny. Coddy Rose will
- 2:12:58Speaker 7: come out.
- 2:12:59Speaker 5: And I got taken out Crossroads.
- 2:13:01Speaker 7: He'll come out Crossroads your ass, like if you sneak
- 2:13:04Speaker 7: up on him and you're press in. Oh my god, dude,
- 2:13:06Speaker 7: it's so funny. H six one nine. Can you imagine
- 2:13:13Speaker 7: watching it kill cam?
- 2:13:14Speaker 6: Like?
- 2:13:14Speaker 7: What the fuck?
- 2:13:15Speaker 5: Right?
- 2:13:17Speaker 3: You see somebody just sitting there, then all of a sudden,
- 2:13:19Speaker 3: fucking raymsterials six one nine you ask around a palm
- 2:13:21Speaker 3: tree or.
- 2:13:22Speaker 5: Something and that's your.
- 2:13:28Speaker 7: Yeah, that's so funny.
- 2:13:30Speaker 5: Crossroads more deadly in call of Duty than it is
- 2:13:33Speaker 5: in an actual WW.
- 2:13:34Speaker 7: Right, it'll kill somebody.
- 2:13:40Speaker 3: Yeah, he actually only needs one in call of duty,
- 2:13:42Speaker 3: not twelve of the motherfucker's in w W E.
- 2:13:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:13:46Speaker 7: So, and also I'm plugging it right now. If anybody
- 2:13:49Speaker 7: is playing that Call duty, it's on game pass. Let
- 2:13:53Speaker 7: me know I need some more team members.
- 2:13:58Speaker 5: All right, good, My fast twitchy days are behind me.
- 2:14:03Speaker 5: I ain't even got it. I did see it was
- 2:14:05Speaker 5: on game Pass. For half a second I thought about it.
- 2:14:08Speaker 7: I was like, dude, you should I'll tell you what if.
- 2:14:12Speaker 7: I'll tell you this for the guy, for the older
- 2:14:13Speaker 7: people who are like, oh, I don't know if the
- 2:14:16Speaker 7: newer call of duties for me? Guess what. I stopped
- 2:14:19Speaker 7: playing at Modern Warfare No Black Ops three. That's when
- 2:14:23Speaker 7: I stopped playing, right, that's a long time ago. But
- 2:14:27Speaker 7: I go back to this and there's a lot of nostalgia,
- 2:14:29Speaker 7: a lot of older maps, uh that kind of just
- 2:14:33Speaker 7: a little updated. So I felt like I had the
- 2:14:36Speaker 7: upper hand on a lot of the younger generation playing.
- 2:14:39Speaker 7: I was like, I've been on this map before, Like
- 2:14:41Speaker 7: I was on this map before you were even fucking born,
- 2:14:44Speaker 7: like fucking kids.
- 2:14:47Speaker 5: Uh yeah.
- 2:14:49Speaker 7: Yeah, and then comes down and cross from me and
- 2:14:52Speaker 7: then Memster six to one, nine's it's embarrassing as hell anyway.
- 2:15:01Speaker 5: Yeah. So next match, and this was, in my opinion,
- 2:15:09Speaker 5: my match of the night.
- 2:15:11Speaker 3: We saw Damnian Priest defend the World Heavyweight Championship against
- 2:15:15Speaker 3: Gunter and again, for my money, this was my match
- 2:15:20Speaker 3: of the night. These two were beating the crap out
- 2:15:25Speaker 3: of each other. I mean so much so that Gunter's
- 2:15:29Speaker 3: chest was literally busted open multiple times in this match.
- 2:15:35Speaker 6: His chest shouldn't look great.
- 2:15:36Speaker 3: To start, Oh yeah, yeah, he definitely you know, still
- 2:15:39Speaker 3: suffering the effects from you know, what him and Finn
- 2:15:42Speaker 3: did to each other Monday. So yeah, it didn't It
- 2:15:47Speaker 3: ain't take much to open that bad boy up, but
- 2:15:50Speaker 3: it added something to the match though, just you know,
- 2:15:53Speaker 3: him taking those blows and then Chess just bleeding. But man,
- 2:15:59Speaker 3: this match was a good old fashioned slober knocker. They
- 2:16:04Speaker 3: used to went back and forth and just hit each
- 2:16:06Speaker 3: other with everything that they had, and you could see,
- 2:16:11Speaker 3: especially in this match, I think Damian Priest, even in
- 2:16:16Speaker 3: a losing effort, solidified himself in my eyes, as a
- 2:16:21Speaker 3: champion and as a main event as somebody who can
- 2:16:25Speaker 3: go out there and have main event pay per view
- 2:16:28Speaker 3: level matches.
- 2:16:31Speaker 5: Four titles on the line. I mean, we kind of
- 2:16:35Speaker 5: knew he could Maine.
- 2:16:35Speaker 3: Event a pl I mean, he obviously did it with
- 2:16:37Speaker 3: Bad Bunny, you know last year at Backlash and had
- 2:16:40Speaker 3: a phenomenal match with him.
- 2:16:42Speaker 5: But this right here, where he's the champion.
- 2:16:45Speaker 3: Where he's the he's the draw, he's the well half
- 2:16:49Speaker 3: of it having to hold his own alongside Gunter and
- 2:16:54Speaker 3: making the match work. He absolutely held his own. He
- 2:16:59Speaker 3: absolutely delivered in this match, and man, that fucking finish
- 2:17:08Speaker 3: I did. I know, we speculated about it, so we
- 2:17:14Speaker 3: knew it was a possibility, but this one still kind
- 2:17:19Speaker 3: of hurt the way they had played up this, Like
- 2:17:23Speaker 3: I really wanted Damien Priest to win this match, as
- 2:17:28Speaker 3: I had been telling people, like my heart was with Damien,
- 2:17:32Speaker 3: my wallet was with Gunter, like we talked about it.
- 2:17:36Speaker 3: Like I said, we kind of knew that this direction
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: they had been going for a while with Gunster becoming
- 2:17:41Speaker 3: the champion.
- 2:17:42Speaker 5: Gunser was you know, destined, I guess to be this champion.
- 2:17:47Speaker 3: We knew this was coming months ago, but man, the
- 2:17:53Speaker 3: way they played it, and especially after they went the
- 2:17:55Speaker 3: whole you know, the class classism out with it with
- 2:18:00Speaker 3: you know, guns are giving the whole you people speech
- 2:18:05Speaker 3: or your kind of people street trash and this that
- 2:18:07Speaker 3: and the third.
- 2:18:09Speaker 5: Man, I.
- 2:18:11Speaker 3: Just wanted Damien to get at least one win, and
- 2:18:14Speaker 3: then for Fenn to fucking come out there and turn
- 2:18:17Speaker 3: on him. And then Damien didn't get penned to lose
- 2:18:23Speaker 3: it like he had, he got choked out. So they
- 2:18:27Speaker 3: just drug out that agony for people who were like
- 2:18:31Speaker 3: rooting for Damien, you know, just you want to see
- 2:18:35Speaker 3: like he's fighting for it. You're with him, You're like,
- 2:18:37Speaker 3: come on, man, fight fight it out, fight it out,
- 2:18:40Speaker 3: come on, hang in there.
- 2:18:42Speaker 5: And then nah, and it wasn't it.
- 2:18:45Speaker 3: I got you gonna lie this. The loss kind of
- 2:18:47Speaker 3: hit me on a level that I wouldn't expected. I
- 2:18:49Speaker 3: was like, fuck, that one really kind of hurt. Shit, Like,
- 2:18:55Speaker 3: I was genuinely bummed when Damien lost, even though I
- 2:18:58Speaker 3: knew it was coming.
- 2:19:01Speaker 5: But uh, what were your thoughts though, Oh, I.
- 2:19:04Speaker 6: Guess you bought it. Hook line and sinker of the
- 2:19:07Speaker 6: baby face turn then, which is good. That's what it's
- 2:19:10Speaker 6: supposed to do.
- 2:19:12Speaker 1: I noticed at the beginning of the match and during
- 2:19:13Speaker 1: the entrances, Damien got the CGI archer shooting an arrow
- 2:19:20Speaker 1: I think. And then, first of all, I didn't think
- 2:19:22Speaker 1: we were doing that anymore. The second of all, I
- 2:19:24Speaker 1: think the only other person that had the CGI during
- 2:19:26Speaker 1: their entrance was Cody, so that should tell you something.
- 2:19:31Speaker 1: Gunther looked a little h I said, this was a
- 2:19:34Speaker 1: match of two guys that used to be fat. Gunther
- 2:19:38Speaker 1: looked like he's been a little less strict with the
- 2:19:40Speaker 1: diet lately. He looked a little a little dowie er
- 2:19:43Speaker 1: than he's looked before. I wouldn't say that to his face, though, Yeah,
- 2:19:49Speaker 1: I mean this is a fairly paint by numbers Gunther match.
- 2:19:53Speaker 1: They're kind of formulaic, and that may sound like criticism,
- 2:19:57Speaker 1: but I don't mean it to be, because I tend
- 2:19:59Speaker 1: to like before formula. I agree, this was probably my
- 2:20:02Speaker 1: favorite match on the card as well. I will say
- 2:20:08Speaker 1: it wasn't my favorite Gunther match ever, but it might
- 2:20:11Speaker 1: have been my favorite Damian Priest match ever, if that
- 2:20:14Speaker 1: makes any sense.
- 2:20:15Speaker 6: I've been pretty critical of Priests in the past.
- 2:20:19Speaker 1: He has not been my favorite performer, but he has
- 2:20:22Speaker 1: started to grow on me in the past couple of weeks.
- 2:20:25Speaker 6: And not only did he stand toe to toe with
- 2:20:27Speaker 6: Gunther in a physical, you know, fucking hard hitting match,
- 2:20:31Speaker 6: he looked like he belonged there, you know.
- 2:20:35Speaker 1: And as this match was rolling along pretty good until
- 2:20:38Speaker 1: Priest hit that South of Heaven and rolled Gunther over,
- 2:20:41Speaker 1: so he was by the ropes, which I knew had
- 2:20:45Speaker 1: to happen, but that looked so fucking clunky to me,
- 2:20:47Speaker 1: and it was just, you know, it's just.
- 2:20:49Speaker 6: Little things they kind of take you out of it sometimes,
- 2:20:55Speaker 6: you know.
- 2:20:55Speaker 1: Obviously he had to do that so Finn could be
- 2:20:58Speaker 1: where he was supposed to be, but just kind of
- 2:21:00Speaker 1: shood out. Yeah, But they immediately made up for it
- 2:21:05Speaker 1: because Priest looks up at the screen, the replay screen
- 2:21:10Speaker 1: to see what happened, right, And I feel like nobody
- 2:21:12Speaker 1: ever does that, you know, like especially like on on
- 2:21:16Speaker 1: a raw when there's a screen showing what's going on
- 2:21:20Speaker 1: above the stage and they're looking at the stage expecting
- 2:21:23Speaker 1: the bad guy to come, and the bad guy is
- 2:21:24Speaker 1: able to sneak up on them even though they can
- 2:21:26Speaker 1: see it happening right in front of the faces.
- 2:21:28Speaker 7: You know.
- 2:21:29Speaker 1: I'm glad that somebody finally utilized the fact that there's big,
- 2:21:32Speaker 1: giant TV screens everywhere and they can see what happened.
- 2:21:35Speaker 6: I thought that was pretty clever, pretty smart.
- 2:21:40Speaker 1: I kind of thought gun thro winning his first title
- 2:21:43Speaker 1: would be more of a moment, and it kind of wasn't.
- 2:21:46Speaker 6: Maybe it was overshadowed by the judgment day of it all.
- 2:21:49Speaker 6: I'm not sure, but that kind of surprised me that
- 2:21:52Speaker 6: it didn't seem like, it didn't seem as epic.
- 2:21:57Speaker 1: As I thought it would, if that makes any sense.
- 2:22:00Speaker 1: But I think he's going to have a nice long
- 2:22:02Speaker 1: run with the World Heavyweight Championship. I don't think it's
- 2:22:08Speaker 1: going to be six hundred sixty six days again, but
- 2:22:11Speaker 1: who knows. I just hope that they get him good opponents,
- 2:22:14Speaker 1: you know.
- 2:22:15Speaker 6: And I think.
- 2:22:18Speaker 1: I think he's a guy that I mean, he's good,
- 2:22:22Speaker 1: but I think he needs the right opponents to make
- 2:22:24Speaker 1: him look good, you know what I mean. Like, I
- 2:22:27Speaker 1: think if you just throw him in there with anybody,
- 2:22:29Speaker 1: you might get mixed results.
- 2:22:31Speaker 6: So I guess we're going Randy first.
- 2:22:34Speaker 1: I thought Randy might be a good candidate for cod
- 2:22:38Speaker 1: a little bit of a post Summer Slam code program
- 2:22:41Speaker 1: for Cody. They did say a triple h did say
- 2:22:45Speaker 1: that because they're you know that the reason Gunthrim was
- 2:22:49Speaker 1: even in this matches because he beat Randy in a
- 2:22:51Speaker 1: controversial fashion and king of the ring, So it makes sense.
- 2:22:55Speaker 6: But just further further disruption of the brand split or whatever, right,
- 2:23:01Speaker 6: But yeah, I agree with Dre this this is my
- 2:23:03Speaker 6: favorite match on a card. And give all the credit
- 2:23:07Speaker 6: in the world the priest. He has leaps and bounds.
- 2:23:10Speaker 6: Just in the past couple of weeks.
- 2:23:12Speaker 1: In my eyes, I didn't think much of them to
- 2:23:15Speaker 1: be until recently, but he stood in there with Gunter
- 2:23:19Speaker 1: Man and I got to give him a lot of
- 2:23:22Speaker 1: credit for that.
- 2:23:24Speaker 3: Uh yeah, yeah, definitely. I still think the Randy Cody
- 2:23:29Speaker 3: thing is still on the table for the fall. Yeah yeah,
- 2:23:33Speaker 3: I think this is just probably gonna be a one off. Like,
- 2:23:37Speaker 3: you know, Randy's owed this match, so we're gonna do
- 2:23:40Speaker 3: it here. Let it take place in Germany, like Gunter
- 2:23:45Speaker 3: get his homecoming pop and if anybody could you know
- 2:23:49Speaker 3: obviously still be a baby Facebook play heel ish, Yeah,
- 2:23:54Speaker 3: you know it, damn shows Randy and who knows, we
- 2:23:57Speaker 3: may see something to the effect of he lose. This
- 2:24:00Speaker 3: is the rematch and it's frustrated, and Cody tries to
- 2:24:05Speaker 3: do the you know, the white bread babyface thing to him, like,
- 2:24:09Speaker 3: oh man, it's okay, shut the fuck up.
- 2:24:13Speaker 7: Kao yep. Right from world title to WWE title. I
- 2:24:19Speaker 7: like it.
- 2:24:22Speaker 5: Yeah, but where you at on this one way? You
- 2:24:26Speaker 5: know what?
- 2:24:26Speaker 7: Did I agree with both of you? Damien Priests? In
- 2:24:30Speaker 7: weeks weeks time has shown like he is a world champion,
- 2:24:36Speaker 7: that he is that he could arguably be on his
- 2:24:40Speaker 7: own now he does not need the judgment day. The
- 2:24:43Speaker 7: judgment day needed, Damien. We're at that point now, right.
- 2:24:47Speaker 7: I think we can all agree with that. I would
- 2:24:52Speaker 7: have been content if he would have won this. I
- 2:24:57Speaker 7: would have been shocked, but I would have been content
- 2:24:59Speaker 7: because anybody who beats s Gunther, that's that's a win.
- 2:25:03Speaker 7: That's a hell of a win in itself. Now, let
- 2:25:06Speaker 7: me run these numbers to you guys. When he was
- 2:25:11Speaker 7: Walter the UK champion, he was UK champion for eight
- 2:25:14Speaker 7: hundred and seventy days. He was our intercontinental champion. Uh,
- 2:25:22Speaker 7: he was championed for six hundred and sixty six days.
- 2:25:27Speaker 7: Is this going to be another record breaking title run?
- 2:25:33Speaker 6: What?
- 2:25:34Speaker 7: Doyle? Would you know?
- 2:25:35Speaker 6: What's a new title? So record campa that long?
- 2:25:39Speaker 7: What's the world title? Like, what's the longest world Okay,
- 2:25:47Speaker 7: but like let's say the original world title? Who would
- 2:25:51Speaker 7: have had the longest run?
- 2:25:52Speaker 5: Then you know what, I don't know what original World Heavyweight.
- 2:25:57Speaker 7: Championship or the Undertaker long?
- 2:26:06Speaker 3: Are we talking exclusive? We're talking just WWE World champions Yeah?
- 2:26:10Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I was.
- 2:26:12Speaker 5: I would say we're not going back to like n
- 2:26:13Speaker 5: WAW CW or anything like that.
- 2:26:16Speaker 7: No, I wonder if if we're gonna, like if we
- 2:26:19Speaker 7: can even find it, because it's just I just see
- 2:26:24Speaker 7: like the newest one. Yeah, I'm just you know, just
- 2:26:28Speaker 7: curious because I think Seth Hella for three hundred and
- 2:26:32Speaker 7: sixteen days. Yeah, so so far. Yeah, he is the
- 2:26:35Speaker 7: longest reigning modern day. I guess I could say a
- 2:26:40Speaker 7: world taperweight champion, the older gold belt, though I don't.
- 2:26:45Speaker 7: I don't know the one from like two thousand and
- 2:26:48Speaker 7: two to twenty thirteen, that one.
- 2:26:53Speaker 3: Let's see here, Wow, from what I from what I'm
- 2:27:01Speaker 3: looking at, the longest World Heavyweight Championship rain if this
- 2:27:06Speaker 3: is accurate, huk Hogan really he held it for four
- 2:27:12Speaker 3: hundred and sixty nine days and apparently it was the only.
- 2:27:18Speaker 5: One to exceed a year. But that's counting just w
- 2:27:24Speaker 5: c W and into w w E.
- 2:27:27Speaker 3: Okay, if it's not factoring in n w A, because
- 2:27:30Speaker 3: now if we're talking n w A, then it's just they.
- 2:27:33Speaker 7: Had the w w E version the longest yeah times Okay,
- 2:27:40Speaker 7: so like.
- 2:27:42Speaker 5: Eighty two n w F factory in n w A.
- 2:27:45Speaker 3: Then it's Luthas who was the n w A World
- 2:27:48Speaker 3: Heavyweight Champion for twenty three hundred days.
- 2:27:51Speaker 7: Right, So we're talking like a little over a year
- 2:27:53Speaker 7: and a half, it's possible, right, It's it's like it's
- 2:27:57Speaker 7: doable for good there is. We're not talking Roman Rain
- 2:28:00Speaker 7: his numbers here, we're talking like break break a year
- 2:28:03Speaker 7: and a half. You're setting a.
- 2:28:05Speaker 5: New record, wanted.
- 2:28:11Speaker 7: I I just see a pattern, That's all I'm pointing
- 2:28:13Speaker 7: out here. I see a pattern with going through in
- 2:28:15Speaker 7: his career from UK to this man, all he has
- 2:28:19Speaker 7: done is title to title to title to title.
- 2:28:27Speaker 10: He's clenched like like if the if he was floating
- 2:28:33Speaker 10: at sea and the title was the only thing that's
- 2:28:35Speaker 10: keeping him afloat that That's what that man was most
- 2:28:38Speaker 10: of his career.
- 2:28:39Speaker 7: Like, that's all I've known him really as as either
- 2:28:43Speaker 7: he was chasing the gold or he always had the gold.
- 2:28:46Speaker 7: Because when he was chasing the gold, he chased it fast.
- 2:28:49Speaker 7: He rose to the top and he and he got
- 2:28:53Speaker 7: there fast, and now we had that he got he
- 2:28:56Speaker 7: got to King of the Ring after after he lost
- 2:28:59Speaker 7: the intercount title, but there was that gap between the
- 2:29:02Speaker 7: intercontinental title Kane the Ring and now that's the longest
- 2:29:06Speaker 7: gap I think I have seen him without a title,
- 2:29:11Speaker 7: maybe like when he came to the main roster, but
- 2:29:13Speaker 7: he got he got that icy title pretty quickly. So
- 2:29:17Speaker 7: I just see a I just see a pattern, and
- 2:29:21Speaker 7: I just think, if they're gonna do it again, they're
- 2:29:25Speaker 7: gonna do it with the world title, and the world
- 2:29:27Speaker 7: title doesn't right now doesn't have record breaking numbers of
- 2:29:32Speaker 7: you know, three sixteen seth Rollin's that's the latest one
- 2:29:35Speaker 7: that they'll mention.
- 2:29:39Speaker 6: I don't know, Well, i's ad new title.
- 2:29:43Speaker 7: Yeah, right, but you're right, we're looking too deep into it.
- 2:29:46Speaker 7: You're right, it's absolutely a new title. They're going to
- 2:29:48Speaker 7: go buy those numbers.
- 2:29:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:29:50Speaker 3: But I'm also asking you, do you want to see
- 2:29:53Speaker 3: another guns or long title ring? Because I brought I
- 2:29:57Speaker 3: brought it up with Brin about whether I have an
- 2:29:59Speaker 3: appet type for another long title Rain. I think it
- 2:30:02Speaker 3: also applies. I can apply that to Gunter as well.
- 2:30:05Speaker 3: He's had these long ass title reigns. Do you want
- 2:30:09Speaker 3: to see Gunter as the world have weight championship, a
- 2:30:12Speaker 3: champion on another year long plus Rain?
- 2:30:17Speaker 7: I do, But we don't have the food to feed
- 2:30:23Speaker 7: the man, the beast. We don't have the opponents to
- 2:30:27Speaker 7: feed him for a year because he's already chewed through
- 2:30:31Speaker 7: them all as a heel. He's already chewed through all
- 2:30:35Speaker 7: the baby faces.
- 2:30:37Speaker 3: True through the well, he chewed through a lot of
- 2:30:39Speaker 3: the mid card. He hasn't chewed through as much of
- 2:30:43Speaker 3: the upper card.
- 2:30:45Speaker 6: Right.
- 2:30:45Speaker 3: There also isn't as much there are so yeah, there
- 2:30:49Speaker 3: also isn't as many people on the upper card the
- 2:30:52Speaker 3: challenge them.
- 2:30:53Speaker 7: So now we got we were talking about rand Ne Orton, right,
- 2:30:58Speaker 7: I have an itch man, there's a few I really
- 2:31:00Speaker 7: want to say now that he's got the world title.
- 2:31:03Speaker 7: There's been news about it, there's been rumors about it.
- 2:31:07Speaker 7: It's possible, but we could see brock Lesner back, not now,
- 2:31:12Speaker 7: but some point.
- 2:31:14Speaker 6: That's a thing, see him back to the lawsuit is settled.
- 2:31:20Speaker 3: Right, and I agree, I don't think you'll see him
- 2:31:23Speaker 3: back anytime soon. And if you were to do that,
- 2:31:26Speaker 3: that's a WrestleMania forty one. That's WrestleMania Vegas. The match
- 2:31:30Speaker 3: that we didn't get this that what's slated that happens
- 2:31:33Speaker 3: this year, happens at WrestleMania.
- 2:31:36Speaker 5: That's the only place I can see that happening.
- 2:31:38Speaker 3: And if that's the case, then I think we could
- 2:31:42Speaker 3: get a year long plus title reign from Gunster because
- 2:31:48Speaker 3: there's no way they're bringing lesnar In and WrestleMania to
- 2:31:51Speaker 3: de throne Gunster.
- 2:31:52Speaker 7: I just don't see it world champion versus if.
- 2:31:59Speaker 5: But if.
- 2:32:01Speaker 3: Gunter was to hold the title just till WrestleMania from SummerSlam,
- 2:32:08Speaker 3: which was what Saturday, that was five days ago, if
- 2:32:13Speaker 3: he would have hold it from now till Summer till WrestleMania,
- 2:32:16Speaker 3: that would that alone would be two hundred and sixty days,
- 2:32:20Speaker 3: which is already damn near breaking the record.
- 2:32:25Speaker 5: That Batista will get close to Batista's.
- 2:32:29Speaker 3: Record if you're counting WWE only, and I think that
- 2:32:33Speaker 3: would probably break Seth Rollins record. I don't know how
- 2:32:37Speaker 3: long he had the title for three sixteen, okay, so
- 2:32:42Speaker 3: wouldn't break Seth. But if he held it from now
- 2:32:46Speaker 3: to WrestleMania, that's a good lengthy run.
- 2:32:48Speaker 5: Yeah, And I would be okay with that. I would
- 2:32:52Speaker 5: be okay with.
- 2:32:52Speaker 3: Him being champion from NW to WrestleMania and then losing
- 2:32:56Speaker 3: into somebody at WrestleMania.
- 2:32:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:33:02Speaker 7: Just watching Finn Ballad just like try to screw over
- 2:33:07Speaker 7: Damen And you're right, Doyle, You're right, Like, how often
- 2:33:11Speaker 7: do we ever see the wrestler look at the fucking
- 2:33:13Speaker 7: Titan Tron, but like, yeah, watch the replay like you
- 2:33:17Speaker 7: son of a bitch.
- 2:33:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it.
- 2:33:21Speaker 1: Sometimes it's like they don't even watch the show, you know,
- 2:33:24Speaker 1: my god, Yeah, how did you not know?
- 2:33:26Speaker 6: They said that it was on fucking TV?
- 2:33:29Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, it's like bathroom during that segment.
- 2:33:33Speaker 7: Huh yeah.
- 2:33:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:33:35Speaker 7: I feel like like, if you're a professional wrestler, right,
- 2:33:38Speaker 7: and this is your job. You you come to Monday
- 2:33:40Speaker 7: night Raw for three hours a week, you think you
- 2:33:43Speaker 7: would be there the entire three hours and watching the show.
- 2:33:47Speaker 7: But then you get like the wrestlers that like they
- 2:33:49Speaker 7: should like, oh, so and so isn't here yet. I
- 2:33:52Speaker 7: don't know where he is. And he just shows up
- 2:33:54Speaker 7: at the last minute. It's like, no, dude, you come
- 2:33:57Speaker 7: to work. You come to work on time. I always
- 2:34:01Speaker 7: thought that was funny. They I don't know what happened.
- 2:34:03Speaker 7: I wasn't here. What do you mean you weren't here?
- 2:34:05Speaker 7: You're supposed to be here your job. But anyway, I
- 2:34:11Speaker 7: don't know. Uh, Gunca got color during this. I guess
- 2:34:14Speaker 7: he got cut open his chest. I would assume it
- 2:34:16Speaker 7: was maybe from Damien. It's like it looked like he
- 2:34:19Speaker 7: had some jewelry in his hair. Maybe that's what cut him.
- 2:34:24Speaker 3: No, we we said he his chest was already bruised
- 2:34:29Speaker 3: up from the match he had with uh want to
- 2:34:34Speaker 3: go home raw, you should beat the holy hell out
- 2:34:37Speaker 3: of each other. He was already primed to be popped open.
- 2:34:41Speaker 3: It just took a couple of good looks from Damien.
- 2:34:45Speaker 6: Yeah, help chain in his hair though, that was kind
- 2:34:47Speaker 6: of weird.
- 2:34:48Speaker 5: Yeah, oh man, Yeah, any last thoughts on uh this match?
- 2:34:58Speaker 7: No, I was very excited to see the the next
- 2:35:02Speaker 7: line of roll when he got announces you know, the
- 2:35:08Speaker 7: world champion. You know what's his name, Giovanni? Then she
- 2:35:13Speaker 7: got to announce him. That's right.
- 2:35:20Speaker 6: To mention him.
- 2:35:22Speaker 5: No, it's Giovanni. He's back, Yes, said nobody.
- 2:35:35Speaker 7: I totally missed that. I guess there's a segment with
- 2:35:38Speaker 7: the mizz and our Truth and yeah, while I skipped it,
- 2:35:46Speaker 7: I totally did not see that so.
- 2:35:49Speaker 5: Well.
- 2:35:49Speaker 1: Actually, while we while we're on the subject of that,
- 2:35:53Speaker 1: there's between the bell. The bell between the Gunther match
- 2:35:57Speaker 1: ending and the Cody match starting was twenty nine.
- 2:36:01Speaker 6: Minutes and six seconds.
- 2:36:03Speaker 1: Jesus here and here's here's the bell to bell times
- 2:36:07Speaker 1: for the whole show. Thirteen thirty eight, thirteen twenty nine,
- 2:36:11Speaker 1: seventeen twenty five, fifteen twenty two, nineteen forty uh, nineteen fifty.
- 2:36:16Speaker 6: Four, sixteen thirty five.
- 2:36:18Speaker 1: That's a total of two hours, five minutes and twenty
- 2:36:22Speaker 1: nine seconds. That's fifty two point eight percent of the
- 2:36:25Speaker 1: show was non wrestling matches, which is absurd. The average
- 2:36:30Speaker 1: length time between matches is eighteen minutes.
- 2:36:33Speaker 7: Oh yeah, and they're fucking absurd.
- 2:36:36Speaker 6: I'm sorry. They got to figure something out with that.
- 2:36:38Speaker 1: I know they're going to make their money with advertisements
- 2:36:40Speaker 1: and whatnot, but they gotta think.
- 2:36:43Speaker 6: They gotta figure something out.
- 2:36:44Speaker 5: I know I was not watch because we're watching this show.
- 2:36:52Speaker 1: You got the worst, one of the worst segments of
- 2:36:54Speaker 1: all time with with mis and Our Truth and Grayson
- 2:36:59Speaker 1: Wall and Theory and fucking morbidly obese guy that looks
- 2:37:04Speaker 1: like he fell asleep at a party with the shoes
- 2:37:06Speaker 1: on and people grew all.
- 2:37:07Speaker 6: Over his face.
- 2:37:08Speaker 3: Yeah, but it only have one positive thing to say
- 2:37:11Speaker 3: about that entire segment, and that is props to Austin
- 2:37:15Speaker 3: Theory for selling that absolute living shit out of that
- 2:37:17Speaker 3: choke slamb.
- 2:37:18Speaker 6: Yeah, that's true. He didn't get up.
- 2:37:20Speaker 5: The only good thing that came out of that.
- 2:37:22Speaker 3: He made that fucking choke lamb for like a million
- 2:37:24Speaker 3: bucks from somebody who could barely move.
- 2:37:27Speaker 7: I just want to point out the past couple of
- 2:37:29Speaker 7: weeks that Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have been taking
- 2:37:33Speaker 7: chair shots. They have done them in the most shittiest
- 2:37:36Speaker 7: of ways. I don't know if you've seen it the
- 2:37:39Speaker 7: past couple of weeks.
- 2:37:40Speaker 3: What they'll do is, yeah, could they telegraph bending over
- 2:37:42Speaker 3: and looking at the person like, are you ready to
- 2:37:44Speaker 3: hit me?
- 2:37:45Speaker 7: Now I know they've been doing it. It's been looking
- 2:37:48Speaker 7: very bad. I'm just.
- 2:37:52Speaker 3: Just the whole back chair shot thing period. Yeah, it's
- 2:37:55Speaker 3: just a terrible look. Now, I understand you can't crack
- 2:37:58Speaker 3: simity in the head because of concussions and things that
- 2:38:01Speaker 3: and the third, but these chair shots to the back
- 2:38:04Speaker 3: all look terrible because the person gets hit and then
- 2:38:07Speaker 3: they just sit there and wait for the person to
- 2:38:10Speaker 3: hit It's.
- 2:38:10Speaker 6: Like, ooh.
- 2:38:13Speaker 5: It hit me, yet, oh hit me in the back.
- 2:38:17Speaker 5: It's like.
- 2:38:19Speaker 3: They gotta figure out some way to make that a
- 2:38:21Speaker 3: little bit smoother because people just sitting there, hunched over
- 2:38:25Speaker 3: for four or five seconds waiting to get cracked in
- 2:38:28Speaker 3: the back.
- 2:38:30Speaker 5: Just totally breaks the moment for me, Like, damn, we.
- 2:38:34Speaker 3: Can't go back to like can we bring back protected
- 2:38:36Speaker 3: chair shots on to the face on Netflix? Like I
- 2:38:39Speaker 3: would rather see somebody put their hands up and take
- 2:38:43Speaker 3: one to the face then this bent over on chair
- 2:38:46Speaker 3: shots to the back.
- 2:38:47Speaker 5: Shit. But that's just me. So all that's left now
- 2:38:59Speaker 5: is the thing we all came here to.
- 2:39:04Speaker 3: See Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Championship against Solo Socoa
- 2:39:13Speaker 3: and blood Line rules.
- 2:39:17Speaker 7: I e.
- 2:39:18Speaker 3: No disqualification and this match, let's just be real, this
- 2:39:27Speaker 3: match was mediocre as fuck. Yes there was this match
- 2:39:31Speaker 3: really wasn't that great. There really wasn't all that in
- 2:39:33Speaker 3: the match that happened that was spectacular. It was just
- 2:39:38Speaker 3: like most Bloodline matches, all about the story and you know,
- 2:39:42Speaker 3: all right, well's blood royn and rules. So I who
- 2:39:44Speaker 3: were finna get the running in? Of course we know
- 2:39:47Speaker 3: who he's running in on the uh blood line side,
- 2:39:53Speaker 3: it's just a matter of who's coming to Cody's aid. Now,
- 2:39:56Speaker 3: what we did get that I appreciated that was dope
- 2:39:59Speaker 3: was not Cody bringing his white dog to the ring.
- 2:40:05Speaker 3: You know, white dog get on the show, but can't
- 2:40:07Speaker 3: no black wrestlers get on the show, but we ain't.
- 2:40:09Speaker 5: Gonna go there.
- 2:40:11Speaker 3: But I did appreciate the backstage segment with Arn Anderson
- 2:40:16Speaker 3: and Cody. That was a nice surprise seeing Ron on
- 2:40:20Speaker 3: WWE television again and having that, uh, that backstage moment
- 2:40:25Speaker 3: where he kind of telegraphed a little bit.
- 2:40:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:40:29Speaker 3: I reached out to some people, and I got some
- 2:40:31Speaker 3: friends that they are on the way, some that you're expecting,
- 2:40:34Speaker 3: and some you might not, which again run rampant with
- 2:40:38Speaker 3: the speculation.
- 2:40:40Speaker 5: Who's gonna come. Who's the person that he's not expecting.
- 2:40:43Speaker 5: Is it Arn's boy? Is it Dustin Rhodes? Could it
- 2:40:48Speaker 5: be Roman?
- 2:40:48Speaker 6: No?
- 2:40:49Speaker 3: And I feel like most people had talked themselves out
- 2:40:51Speaker 3: of Roman showing up by this point, like we're not
- 2:40:56Speaker 3: getting Rooman, that's not gonna be Roman. We got to
- 2:40:58Speaker 3: build up to a Roman, like it's gonna be somebody else.
- 2:41:00Speaker 3: Roman will come in eventually. But no, you don't start
- 2:41:03Speaker 3: off with Roman and this you gotta work your way
- 2:41:04Speaker 3: up to that. I mean, I talked myself into it.
- 2:41:07Speaker 3: I thought that Jimmy was gonna be the one to
- 2:41:10Speaker 3: run in and then we maybe see Jay come in
- 2:41:14Speaker 3: to help Jimmy and that might be a little bit
- 2:41:17Speaker 3: of their beginning of their reconciliation.
- 2:41:20Speaker 6: The crowd certainly thought it was going to be Jay Uh.
- 2:41:23Speaker 6: They started doing the hand waving U.
- 2:41:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yep, but instead, Nope, who do we get? Oh
- 2:41:31Speaker 3: we got Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. Whoop do woo. Sorry,
- 2:41:36Speaker 3: but that did nothing for me. It's like, oh, we
- 2:41:39Speaker 3: went the safest of the safe routes with this, okay,
- 2:41:42Speaker 3: cool whatever again move the needle. None for me then,
- 2:41:48Speaker 3: because we had Toma Tonga and Tonga Loa before. Obviously,
- 2:41:52Speaker 3: that leaves Jacob Patsu the werewolf to come and be
- 2:41:56Speaker 3: the next run in which how you are Cody Rose
- 2:42:00Speaker 3: and you just watch this man run in this ring,
- 2:42:03Speaker 3: climb up the rope and then come off the top
- 2:42:06Speaker 3: rope and hit you and you just look at it
- 2:42:09Speaker 3: and watch it happen. That's another one of those you know,
- 2:42:15Speaker 3: suspend breaking the suspension of disbelief moments, because you see
- 2:42:20Speaker 3: him pull a Samoa Joe step to the side. But no,
- 2:42:26Speaker 3: I'm just gonna watch this guy climb up and not
- 2:42:29Speaker 3: just hit a regular slash. Now, he gonna do a
- 2:42:30Speaker 3: whole lass somersault. He gonna put a little razzle dazzle
- 2:42:33Speaker 3: on it and take you down and then proceed to
- 2:42:37Speaker 3: go outside and fuck his whole leg up, splashing.
- 2:42:40Speaker 5: You through the table.
- 2:42:44Speaker 3: And then we got the moment that everybody was hoping
- 2:42:48Speaker 3: for but didn't believe what happened and actually happened. Put
- 2:42:54Speaker 3: your motherfucking ones up because our tribal chief is back
- 2:42:58Speaker 3: with fresh gear for you to from the WWE shop.
- 2:43:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I ain't gonna lie.
- 2:43:08Speaker 3: When his music hit, I popped, I definitely immediately stood
- 2:43:12Speaker 3: up in my chair and put my one up.
- 2:43:16Speaker 5: It was dope to see it was dope.
- 2:43:18Speaker 3: I ain't gonna lie, it was. It was dope to
- 2:43:20Speaker 3: have him back. Clearly the crowd was loving it. That
- 2:43:23Speaker 3: might have been the loudest ooha I've heard ever when
- 2:43:27Speaker 3: he freaking spirits solo And as if you didn't already
- 2:43:32Speaker 3: know yet, Cody won. So Wayne, what were your thoughts?
- 2:43:37Speaker 2: You know, dude?
- 2:43:39Speaker 11: This felt just like a regular SmackDown match where it's
- 2:43:44Speaker 11: two wrestlers and you think nobody's gonna interfere, but then
- 2:43:49Speaker 11: the normal happens and the stable interferes because his bloodline rules, right,
- 2:43:54Speaker 11: and then who's in the sivum?
- 2:43:57Speaker 7: Who's gonna save Cony Roads. Well, of course it's gonna
- 2:44:01Speaker 7: be the only other two guys that have been saving
- 2:44:03Speaker 7: him the past couple of weeks. Of course it's gonna
- 2:44:08Speaker 7: be Orton and Ko Right. Uh, why was I under
- 2:44:15Speaker 7: I think it was kind of cool. He like he
- 2:44:17Speaker 7: was walking with his dog. But does anybody know why
- 2:44:19Speaker 7: it was the last time his dog was with him?
- 2:44:23Speaker 7: Is he like this his contract up? I thought he
- 2:44:28Speaker 7: was signed to another company. His contract was up. This
- 2:44:32Speaker 7: is why his last appearance he signed an aw contract.
- 2:44:36Speaker 6: But that dog Impact Zone.
- 2:44:39Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I thought that was cool though, having the
- 2:44:40Speaker 7: dog there.
- 2:44:42Speaker 5: Everyone has seen that dog if it was a black lab.
- 2:44:53Speaker 7: Arn Anderson being there was cool. Hopefully we can see
- 2:44:56Speaker 7: more of that, you know, arn Anderson, I did like
- 2:45:00Speaker 7: the whole walking backstage. You did see him put it,
- 2:45:03Speaker 7: the rest of his gear on the helmet he has
- 2:45:06Speaker 7: in the mask for his entrance and stuff and hewhecs. Yeah,
- 2:45:11Speaker 7: I know. But I bet they're gonna soon have it
- 2:45:13Speaker 7: on ww shops on dot com like a thousand bucks.
- 2:45:19Speaker 2: Uh.
- 2:45:20Speaker 7: You know, Like I said, the match itself, it's just
- 2:45:22Speaker 7: a regular SmackDown match, and it's it's it's still hard
- 2:45:26Speaker 7: for me to picture Solo winning a title like this.
- 2:45:32Speaker 7: I understand that, like now that the blood Line has
- 2:45:35Speaker 7: the tag titles, and yeah, it would have been I
- 2:45:41Speaker 7: guess the idea on paper to put him as champions.
- 2:45:44Speaker 7: So now the new Bloodline has all the titles, right,
- 2:45:48Speaker 7: I get that, But I Solo is just not ready.
- 2:45:51Speaker 7: I mean, there was a there was a point where
- 2:45:53Speaker 7: this man beat John Cena and then he had a
- 2:45:57Speaker 7: losing streak for like a year. A lot of people
- 2:46:00Speaker 7: forget about that shit, and I get it. You know,
- 2:46:04Speaker 7: wins and losses don't mean anything in WW they did
- 2:46:07Speaker 7: for me for character, like he was just getting beat constantly.
- 2:46:11Speaker 7: And I understand this is a different Solo, a very
- 2:46:15Speaker 7: different solo, but just not gonna win the title. Man,
- 2:46:21Speaker 7: I'm sorry, just just I just don't feel it. I
- 2:46:24Speaker 7: think everybody was here for the same thing. We're all
- 2:46:27Speaker 7: here for Roman reigns, right, Is that what everybody was
- 2:46:29Speaker 7: staying up real late at night for. I don't think
- 2:46:32Speaker 7: anybody was staying up because they thought Solo was gonna
- 2:46:34Speaker 7: win the title here. I think it was everybody wanted
- 2:46:38Speaker 7: to see the tribal chief OTC. No, do we really
- 2:46:45Speaker 7: know what that means? On his shirt. Does that mean
- 2:46:47Speaker 7: original tribal chief, the only tribal chief. I like that one. Uh,
- 2:46:55Speaker 7: Doyle like the counter, Yeah, over the counter tribal chief
- 2:47:00Speaker 7: and over the counter that's a good one too. So yeah,
- 2:47:03Speaker 7: this is a couple of good ones. I'm sure, like sure,
- 2:47:07Speaker 7: I might want to buy Ah, I guess we're gonna be.
- 2:47:15Speaker 7: I'm interested. We don't know where we're going from here
- 2:47:18Speaker 7: because we're recording in the middle of the week, so
- 2:47:21Speaker 7: we've seen raw, but we haven't seen SmackDown, so we're
- 2:47:24Speaker 7: kind of like lost for words I would say about
- 2:47:27Speaker 7: where we're truly going. You know, I'm very much sick
- 2:47:35Speaker 7: of the bloodline and Cody Roads. I kind of want
- 2:47:38Speaker 7: to now hopefully after this move on, move solo over
- 2:47:42Speaker 7: to civil War bloodline stuff, and let's get Cody Roads
- 2:47:46Speaker 7: doing something else, you know, something else not bloodline related. Please.
- 2:47:52Speaker 7: I think we can all agree that we've been we've
- 2:47:54Speaker 7: been kicking around the Cody Roads and the blood line
- 2:47:58Speaker 7: you know, since basically he's been and.
- 2:48:00Speaker 5: I'm just.
- 2:48:03Speaker 3: For at least the last two years. Yeah, he's been dangling.
- 2:48:06Speaker 3: It has been either at the forefront or lingering in
- 2:48:10Speaker 3: the background.
- 2:48:12Speaker 7: Yeah, And I did like when Roman came in. You know, everybody,
- 2:48:15Speaker 7: you know, you're looking at Roman like who's he gonna
- 2:48:18Speaker 7: Who's he gonna attack? And it was weird because that music,
- 2:48:21Speaker 7: you know, it's not a fast running in music. It's
- 2:48:24Speaker 7: a slow walk music. And that's what he did. He
- 2:48:26Speaker 7: did the slow pace walk. And I guess the whole time,
- 2:48:30Speaker 7: we're like, is he here for Solo? Is he here
- 2:48:33Speaker 7: to you know, take out Cody? But you tell by
- 2:48:37Speaker 7: the look on Solo's face like he knew why he
- 2:48:39Speaker 7: was there, he knew he was gonna get his ass beat.
- 2:48:43Speaker 7: I mean, you've been calling yourself to try the real
- 2:48:45Speaker 7: tribal chief for for a while. Yeah, you put your
- 2:48:50Speaker 7: hands on the wise man. Yeah he didn't. He didn't
- 2:48:53Speaker 7: really has an He went right in there and and
- 2:48:56Speaker 7: as soon as he ran into ringing Superman punched him
- 2:48:58Speaker 7: right away. You know, He's like there was no hesitation
- 2:49:02Speaker 7: at all. And then yeah, the spirit man, oh wow, yeah,
- 2:49:08Speaker 7: I loved it, and just it just to looking at Cody,
- 2:49:12Speaker 7: and I think it was just out of just respect,
- 2:49:14Speaker 7: like you know, uh, you're the man who beat me.
- 2:49:19Speaker 7: You know, he didn't. He didn't look too long at Cody.
- 2:49:22Speaker 7: I'll say that, Yeah, but it's a great way. He
- 2:49:29Speaker 7: gave him the nod, you know, respectful nod and walked off.
- 2:49:34Speaker 3: So yeah, well, I'll say I think I believe Roman
- 2:49:40Speaker 3: is confirmed to be on SmackDown Friday, right.
- 2:49:43Speaker 5: I believe it's been announced.
- 2:49:46Speaker 3: So I think, yeah, it's interesting to see where we're
- 2:49:50Speaker 3: gonna go with this, because, yeah, I think Roman is
- 2:49:54Speaker 3: confirmed for SmackDown this Friday. But I've also heard rumors
- 2:49:58Speaker 3: that the play and for one of the planned main
- 2:50:01Speaker 3: events of of WrestleMania next year is Roman versus Solo. Now, again,
- 2:50:14Speaker 3: obviously rumors, so take it with a grain of salt,
- 2:50:17Speaker 3: but as it stands right now, that just does not
- 2:50:19Speaker 3: strike me as being a WrestleMania main event caliber match.
- 2:50:25Speaker 6: Rock Cody Roman Rock Yeah, Wren.
- 2:50:30Speaker 3: Right, And I think that from what the rumor that
- 2:50:32Speaker 3: I've heard that the planned main events are Rock versus
- 2:50:38Speaker 3: Cody Rose and Roman Reigns versus Solo, so CoA one
- 2:50:42Speaker 3: of those definitely says WrestleMania main event.
- 2:50:45Speaker 5: One of those does not at this point in time.
- 2:50:48Speaker 3: Now, obviously, you know we're still you know, six months away,
- 2:50:54Speaker 3: more than six months away from WrestleMania. A lot can
- 2:50:57Speaker 3: happen between now and then, A lot can transpire. You know,
- 2:51:02Speaker 3: we can what you don't see in solo now we
- 2:51:04Speaker 3: could maybe see.
- 2:51:06Speaker 5: Six months from now. Who knows.
- 2:51:09Speaker 3: But I will say, if that, if that's the if
- 2:51:12Speaker 3: that is the plan, they got some work to do
- 2:51:14Speaker 3: on solo, because, yeah, just saying I'm the tribal chief
- 2:51:20Speaker 3: and isn't exactly convincing everybody as of yet.
- 2:51:26Speaker 5: Nobody's really buying.
- 2:51:27Speaker 3: It, especially when everybody's out here making memes about you
- 2:51:30Speaker 3: and uh, Jacob Fatu sitting on the side screaming, looking
- 2:51:35Speaker 3: like angry children and shit. So tbd, Noyle chime in,
- 2:51:42Speaker 3: where are you at on this match?
- 2:51:44Speaker 6: You know, I said solo and had a had a chance.
- 2:51:48Speaker 6: I didn't. I didn't think it was cut and dry
- 2:51:50Speaker 6: that he was not gonna win.
- 2:51:51Speaker 2: Uh.
- 2:51:52Speaker 6: And when they started on the bus, you know, with
- 2:51:54Speaker 6: a dog, and Cody's kind of looking around like he's
- 2:51:57Speaker 6: soaking it all in or whatever.
- 2:51:58Speaker 1: By the way, shout out to Pharaoh. I myself have
- 2:52:02Speaker 1: a dog that's almost thirteen. He's slowing down. Besides the
- 2:52:06Speaker 1: logistical nightmare of getting him somewhere, I could I could
- 2:52:09Speaker 1: see wanting him there for a big moment.
- 2:52:11Speaker 6: Where I have one or whatever. So you know, I
- 2:52:14Speaker 6: was like, oh, you know, maybe maybe they're actually going
- 2:52:17Speaker 6: to do this.
- 2:52:18Speaker 1: But then fucking arn Anderson shows up and basically spoils
- 2:52:22Speaker 1: the movie before you hadn't even seen it. He also,
- 2:52:27Speaker 1: they had just announced the attendance and then Arne said
- 2:52:29Speaker 1: something different.
- 2:52:31Speaker 6: They must not have got the memo. Yeah, but I mean,
- 2:52:40Speaker 6: aren't basically confirms that.
- 2:52:42Speaker 1: The match was gonna be Bresselmania forty part two, which
- 2:52:45Speaker 1: is exactly what I did not want. And between us
- 2:52:48Speaker 1: recording last time, they announced that it was bloodline rules
- 2:52:51Speaker 1: after the fact, and when they did that, I said,
- 2:52:54Speaker 1: fucking great, that's gonna be exactly what happens.
- 2:52:58Speaker 6: And that's exactly what happened.
- 2:53:00Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I mean it wasn't an awful match or anything.
- 2:53:05Speaker 1: It wasn't you know, put John by prison or Kennel
- 2:53:08Speaker 1: in a cell or something. But it was definitely just
- 2:53:11Speaker 1: a rehash of the WrestleMania match. And if they're going
- 2:53:15Speaker 1: to do that, they could have at least built on
- 2:53:16Speaker 1: that somehow given us something new. Uh you know, but
- 2:53:21Speaker 1: when you're starting, the starting point is seen it in
- 2:53:24Speaker 1: the Rock and Undertake or whatever. There's really no way
- 2:53:27Speaker 1: to top that, right, And Wayne, I think you said
- 2:53:32Speaker 1: something about about will there be interference while they're not
- 2:53:36Speaker 1: being I think it made the first twenty minutes and
- 2:53:39Speaker 1: the match just useless. Yeah, crowded because they know interference
- 2:53:44Speaker 1: is coming, and they know the match isn't even really
- 2:53:47Speaker 1: going to start until that happens, you know, like they
- 2:53:50Speaker 1: weren't they weren't buying any any kickouts at two at all.
- 2:53:55Speaker 6: They were just sitting looking at the entranceway waiting for
- 2:53:58Speaker 6: whoever was going to come to come.
- 2:53:59Speaker 1: Yeah know, when the when the when the when the
- 2:54:03Speaker 1: tongans hit the ring, the crowd started, everybody started doing
- 2:54:06Speaker 1: the jay uzo hand thing because they were more concerned about.
- 2:54:09Speaker 6: Who was coming than what was going on in the ring.
- 2:54:13Speaker 1: Why didn't this, here's the thing that didn't make any
- 2:54:15Speaker 1: sense to me, Why didn't Ko and Randy both come
- 2:54:17Speaker 1: at the same time, Like if it's a numbers game,
- 2:54:21Speaker 1: why send one. Why couldn't they have coordinated, you know, like, hey,
- 2:54:24Speaker 1: maybe we should both go out there at the same time.
- 2:54:32Speaker 1: In pops long fucking ramps. I didn't think Ko was
- 2:54:36Speaker 1: gonna make it.
- 2:54:38Speaker 6: Randy.
- 2:54:39Speaker 1: Mandy looked pretty silly walking down too. Yeah, but nothing
- 2:54:44Speaker 1: matters until I mean, you know that, you know what's
- 2:54:47Speaker 1: gonna happen. You're just waiting for Roman. Uh, And it
- 2:54:50Speaker 1: just kind of makes the whole first two thirds of
- 2:54:54Speaker 1: the match useless. Really, I did like the Roman had
- 2:54:59Speaker 1: time to stop the merch table. I think it it
- 2:55:04Speaker 1: made more sense for him to come in an old
- 2:55:05Speaker 1: T shirt or just regular street clothes or whatever, and
- 2:55:09Speaker 1: then on back down he can say I'm the only
- 2:55:12Speaker 1: tribal chief and then you saw the shirt.
- 2:55:15Speaker 3: It's summer Slammy. That's when all the eyeballs is in.
- 2:55:17Speaker 3: You got to get all the eyeballs on that fresh merch.
- 2:55:20Speaker 1: They changed his music too, which I always think is
- 2:55:23Speaker 1: a strange choice for someone that's returning.
- 2:55:25Speaker 6: I think you want the music we're expecting to hear.
- 2:55:28Speaker 6: I mean, it wasn't that different.
- 2:55:30Speaker 3: It was the WrestleMania theme. It was the same music
- 2:55:33Speaker 3: that he used at WrestleMania when he came out, when
- 2:55:35Speaker 3: he had the yeah yeah, when he had the orchestra
- 2:55:39Speaker 3: and all them playing him out and they had that
- 2:55:41Speaker 3: large drum section before his theme hisself kicked in.
- 2:55:45Speaker 5: That's what it was.
- 2:55:47Speaker 1: Although I did I did like him as the music
- 2:55:49Speaker 1: got faster, he got faster.
- 2:55:51Speaker 6: I thought that was kind of cool, and he hit
- 2:55:53Speaker 6: that Superman punch right on the beat. I mean, that
- 2:55:56Speaker 6: was some good time.
- 2:55:58Speaker 1: But one thing that neither of you guys mentioned was
- 2:56:01Speaker 1: Jacob Fatou. I mean that is he legit injured or
- 2:56:05Speaker 1: was that just part of the story. I have to
- 2:56:09Speaker 1: believe that they would have if everything had gone right,
- 2:56:13Speaker 1: they should have Jacob Fatou and Roman should have interacted somehow,
- 2:56:17Speaker 1: right right, But I can also see the logic of
- 2:56:19Speaker 1: not having them interact. Somebody saw him with a walking
- 2:56:23Speaker 1: boot after the thing. But I've also heard that the
- 2:56:26Speaker 1: whole plan was for him, that was the whole injury thing,
- 2:56:29Speaker 1: was to take him out so.
- 2:56:30Speaker 6: That he wouldn't be involved with Rome until later down
- 2:56:33Speaker 6: the road. So I don't know. I guess we'll maybe
- 2:56:35Speaker 6: find out on SmackDown if he's walking with the limp
- 2:56:38Speaker 6: or if he's even there at all.
- 2:56:41Speaker 1: But yeah, this was fucking just way too long and
- 2:56:43Speaker 1: way too much like the match we've already seen. I
- 2:56:48Speaker 1: was really hoping that we're gonna do. You know, when
- 2:56:50Speaker 1: they said bloodmlin, I thought maybe we'd get some kind
- 2:56:52Speaker 1: of wild brawl, you know, maybe somebody's getting thrown off
- 2:56:57Speaker 1: the stage or something, you.
- 2:56:58Speaker 6: Know, like something, and we just didn't get any of that.
- 2:57:03Speaker 6: I thought, this is a big disappointment.
- 2:57:08Speaker 3: The problem that they had was that every Bloodline match
- 2:57:13Speaker 3: has been storyline driven. Yeah, so all of the matches,
- 2:57:17Speaker 3: we haven't been too invested in the action in the
- 2:57:20Speaker 3: ring as much as what story are they gonna tell
- 2:57:25Speaker 3: throughout this match and with the outcome of this match
- 2:57:28Speaker 3: advancing the overall story where this one felt.
- 2:57:31Speaker 6: What happened after the match was really important.
- 2:57:34Speaker 3: Right, That's where the interesting, what interest was, That's where
- 2:57:37Speaker 3: the compelling story was. And obviously, you know, Roman isn't
- 2:57:40Speaker 3: compelling enough person that he can killed your interest during
- 2:57:44Speaker 3: the match itself.
- 2:57:46Speaker 5: Prime example was his match with Sammy's Ain.
- 2:57:49Speaker 3: We all knew Sammy wasn't gonna fucking win, but we
- 2:57:52Speaker 3: were still interested while the match was happening itself, just
- 2:57:56Speaker 3: because they gave us elements like Roman talking shit, Samy
- 2:58:00Speaker 3: z Ain's family at ringside, yes, and you know, and
- 2:58:04Speaker 3: that's how we still kind of cared about Sammy Zain
- 2:58:06Speaker 3: enough as an underdog, it hadn't been worn into the
- 2:58:08Speaker 3: ground yet, so seeing him just in the corner's Limp,
- 2:58:13Speaker 3: you know, getting his ass whooped by this goliath of
- 2:58:16Speaker 3: a champion in Roman reigns, you know, was compelling to watch.
- 2:58:21Speaker 3: Where they failed in my opinion with this one is that,
- 2:58:25Speaker 3: as you said, they rehashed the WrestleMania storyline. So if
- 2:58:29Speaker 3: your story that they were telling, so if you're rehashing
- 2:58:33Speaker 3: the same thing, then we pretty much already know where
- 2:58:36Speaker 3: the story's gonna go, so we have no reason to
- 2:58:39Speaker 3: care about anything. Prior and Cody and Solo, you know,
- 2:58:45Speaker 3: for all that they're for, you know, God bless them
- 2:58:48Speaker 3: for all their worth, they aren't giving us enough compelling
- 2:58:52Speaker 3: action in the ring to hold our attention. I mean,
- 2:58:57Speaker 3: they're wrestling, they're going at it, but they're not really
- 2:58:59Speaker 3: doing it.
- 2:59:00Speaker 6: It doesn't need to be Flair Steamboat.
- 2:59:02Speaker 5: But right that.
- 2:59:06Speaker 3: Exactly exactly, like, give us something in the ring, you know,
- 2:59:10Speaker 3: give us something to have us invested in the actual
- 2:59:14Speaker 3: ring action until we get to the storyline part of
- 2:59:18Speaker 3: you know, this match, which they didn't give us. And
- 2:59:22Speaker 3: if you don't do that and we already know what's
- 2:59:24Speaker 3: gonna happen, then yeah, nobody's gonna give a damn until
- 2:59:28Speaker 3: the music starts hitting and we started getting our interference.
- 2:59:32Speaker 3: That's one place where again I believe that they failed.
- 2:59:36Speaker 3: Now as far as the JA, a lot.
- 2:59:38Speaker 1: Of this stuff is predictable, and that's okay, you know,
- 2:59:41Speaker 1: as long as they're getting there makes sense and it's entertainment. Yeah,
- 2:59:46Speaker 1: you know what's gonna happen, and it's just very paint
- 2:59:50Speaker 1: by numbers, you know, Uh.
- 2:59:53Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean that's why the biggest, the only
- 2:59:56Speaker 3: thing that everybody really talked about in this match was
- 2:59:59Speaker 3: the fact that it was back. I mean even at
- 3:00:01Speaker 3: WrestleMania it was bloodline rules. We knew that Cody was
- 3:00:04Speaker 3: gonna win. We were all like ninety five percent sure
- 3:00:07Speaker 3: Cody was gonna win. But we were interested one in
- 3:00:10Speaker 3: the match itself, and you know, just those two going
- 3:00:14Speaker 3: at it enough, they're good enough together in the ring
- 3:00:18Speaker 3: to hold our attention throughout the match, and then we
- 3:00:21Speaker 3: were interested in seeing who was going to show up,
- 3:00:23Speaker 3: who was gonna run who was gonna run in. Yeah,
- 3:00:26Speaker 3: we hadn't seen that before, right, We hadn't seen that that,
- 3:00:30Speaker 3: you know, the end game of run ins. We knew
- 3:00:33Speaker 3: who were gonna get on the blood Line side, but
- 3:00:35Speaker 3: we didn't know who we were gonna get necessarily on
- 3:00:38Speaker 3: Cody's side, or how it was gonna get play the.
- 3:00:40Speaker 6: Matches had happened in different order. If this, if you know,
- 3:00:43Speaker 6: obviously it doesn't make any sense. But let's just say that.
- 3:00:45Speaker 1: The Solo match happened before the Roman match and it
- 3:00:49Speaker 1: escalated to Undertaker and seen in the Rock or whatever.
- 3:00:54Speaker 6: That would have been a different story. But we've already
- 3:00:56Speaker 6: seen this movie.
- 3:00:57Speaker 1: This just seems like, yuh, this seems like this sequel
- 3:01:00Speaker 1: they did fifteen years later and could only get half
- 3:01:02Speaker 1: the cast back.
- 3:01:03Speaker 3: And you know, yeah, you couldn't afford the main events, yes,
- 3:01:08Speaker 3: especially that because you know we got Roman, Yes, but
- 3:01:13Speaker 3: we know there are other players in the story that
- 3:01:15Speaker 3: have not shown up yet, namely the usos, right, they
- 3:01:19Speaker 3: who have not come to play. But getting into the
- 3:01:22Speaker 3: the Jacob Potsuo aspect of it, I think he is
- 3:01:25Speaker 3: legitimately injured because just when he was sitting there one,
- 3:01:31Speaker 3: the fact that he was just sitting down at the
- 3:01:34Speaker 3: side and yelling at Solo when Vince.
- 3:01:38Speaker 6: Blew his clads out and he's just sitting there.
- 3:01:40Speaker 3: Screen right, and for a moment, Solo looked a bit
- 3:01:43Speaker 3: lost because it seemed like that, you know, they had
- 3:01:47Speaker 3: to improvise in that moment, and I don't know how
- 3:01:50Speaker 3: it would.
- 3:01:50Speaker 6: Have been more like obvious whisperings and stuff.
- 3:01:55Speaker 5: If he was.
- 3:01:55Speaker 3: But what I'm saying is I think there was something
- 3:01:58Speaker 3: else that was I think there was a different finished
- 3:02:00Speaker 3: or different route that they were supposed to go at
- 3:02:02Speaker 3: this point. Like obviously at this point we're in scripted territory,
- 3:02:06Speaker 3: Like there's like this is supposed to happen, then this moment,
- 3:02:08Speaker 3: then this moment, inn this moment, and I think Jacobs
- 3:02:11Speaker 3: fat Tou was supposed to do more after going through
- 3:02:14Speaker 3: that table, but since he injured himself, he couldn't, so
- 3:02:18Speaker 3: they had to come up with something real quick, and
- 3:02:21Speaker 3: Solo in that moment seemed a bit lost, and it
- 3:02:24Speaker 3: seemed like Jacob Fatu was low key directing him, although
- 3:02:29Speaker 3: you know, obviously not blatantly doing it because you know,
- 3:02:31Speaker 3: cameras are right there, but in his way where Jacob
- 3:02:35Speaker 3: is probably a bit more experienced than Solo in situations
- 3:02:38Speaker 3: like that, Jacob Fatu was able to improvise on the
- 3:02:41Speaker 3: spot and you know, tells him, you know.
- 3:02:45Speaker 5: Finish the job, so finished the job.
- 3:02:47Speaker 3: Solo is his way of improvising and telling Solo get
- 3:02:50Speaker 3: him into the ring so we can get to the
- 3:02:52Speaker 3: Roman spot, where I think something else was supposed to happen.
- 3:02:56Speaker 3: Honestly what, I don't know what that was, but I
- 3:02:59Speaker 3: do think Jacob was supposed to be in the ring
- 3:03:02Speaker 3: for that finish of Roman coming out. I think we
- 3:03:06Speaker 3: were supposed to have Jacob Fatu looking at both Roman
- 3:03:10Speaker 3: and Solo and being confused for a moment about where
- 3:03:15Speaker 3: his allegiance really is supposed to be with this new
- 3:03:20Speaker 3: tribal chief or is he actually should he actually be
- 3:03:23Speaker 3: loyal to the original tribal chief. I think at this
- 3:03:28Speaker 3: point he's he he was, He's being loyal to Solo
- 3:03:32Speaker 3: because Solo was the only tribal chief that was there.
- 3:03:35Speaker 3: There was no conflict of interest, There wasn't no there
- 3:03:38Speaker 3: was no fight for power. He may have been under
- 3:03:39Speaker 3: the belief that Roman wasn't coming back, But now here's
- 3:03:44Speaker 3: the actual, you know, the real deal, original tribal chief
- 3:03:47Speaker 3: staring you in the face. And I was like, oh shit,
- 3:03:51Speaker 3: who am I supposed to be loyal to?
- 3:03:53Speaker 6: The might be saving that? I don't know?
- 3:03:56Speaker 3: Yeah right, yeah, And I'm not saying that that. Jacob,
- 3:04:00Speaker 3: I too, was supposed to make a decision right there
- 3:04:02Speaker 3: on the the in that moment. But I think they
- 3:04:05Speaker 3: were supposed to try to play up that confusion. I
- 3:04:07Speaker 3: think he was supposed to see both of them and
- 3:04:09Speaker 3: not know which, and at least at the in the moment,
- 3:04:13Speaker 3: even if they did nothing more than him just being like,
- 3:04:15Speaker 3: oh shit, I've got two travel chiefs. And maybe that's
- 3:04:17Speaker 3: where they left it at that. I think he was
- 3:04:19Speaker 3: supposed to be in the ring and at least be
- 3:04:22Speaker 3: in a shot of Roman on one side, Solo on
- 3:04:26Speaker 3: the other side, Jacob in the middle, looking back and
- 3:04:29Speaker 3: forth at both of them.
- 3:04:31Speaker 5: But since that.
- 3:04:32Speaker 3: Didn't happen, we kind of got somewhat of a rushed
- 3:04:35Speaker 3: finish where Roman came in the ring and just immediately
- 3:04:37Speaker 3: Superman punched Solo and then spared him and then got out.
- 3:04:42Speaker 3: I think they were I think they were supposed to
- 3:04:44Speaker 3: marinate that moment a little bit longer, but like I said,
- 3:04:48Speaker 3: had to improvise.
- 3:04:49Speaker 5: That's just my theory on it.
- 3:04:51Speaker 6: Well, I mean, we're.
- 3:04:52Speaker 1: Certainly going to find out whether an injury is legit
- 3:04:55Speaker 1: sooner rather than later. The guy's gotta got a championship,
- 3:04:58Speaker 1: you know, you can't exactly just make him disappear for
- 3:05:02Speaker 1: three months for no.
- 3:05:03Speaker 6: I guess they free bird the title and put it
- 3:05:05Speaker 6: on What the hell's.
- 3:05:07Speaker 7: The other one with the.
- 3:05:10Speaker 5: Right all right, Taga step up, motherfucker.
- 3:05:13Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 3:05:18Speaker 3: I feel like those two were supposed to be the
- 3:05:20Speaker 3: tax Champions anyway originally.
- 3:05:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:05:23Speaker 6: I think so too, mm hmm.
- 3:05:27Speaker 5: Yeah, we shall see.
- 3:05:30Speaker 7: So you guys really think that his dogs signing to
- 3:05:32Speaker 7: another program? Pharaoh his dogs signed to AW That's what
- 3:05:41Speaker 7: it is. He's got another contract. He's Championship. I knew it.
- 3:05:45Speaker 6: The name on the contract does say Roads, but it's
- 3:05:49Speaker 6: his Pharaoh road.
- 3:05:52Speaker 5: Right about Pharaoh about to take it to the crib?
- 3:05:56Speaker 12: Yeah?
