- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody
- 0:06Speaker 1: you're listening to the voice, come on, dig me now.
- 0:10Speaker 2: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, Yeah,
- 0:13Speaker 2: I got one.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And I got a message for you today too, something
- 0:18Speaker 1: I was thinking about that might help you along the way.
- 0:22Speaker 1: The thing I appreciate about so many people that I
- 0:25Speaker 1: learned from Bishop Jakes, Kenneth Olmer, Donnie McClerkin, Kirk Franklin,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Joel Oldstein. I can't tell you, and many more than that.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I mean, you know I'm naming you know, famous people
- 0:40Speaker 1: because I know you know these names. But my father,
- 0:44Speaker 1: who you never met, was so great in my development
- 0:49Speaker 1: as a man. But my mother thought her mercy. My mother,
- 0:53Speaker 1: she taught me about faith. She gave me the things
- 0:57Speaker 1: I needed to know about. What I speak about every day.
- 1:00Speaker 1: That basis was given to me by hers. So it's
- 1:03Speaker 1: so many great people. But here's the thing that I've
- 1:06Speaker 1: had to learn, and that is that if God got
- 1:10Speaker 1: you through it, it's done.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Move on.
- 1:14Speaker 1: See, I can't tell you how many people don't really
- 1:17Speaker 1: pay attention to that close enough. If God got you
- 1:21Speaker 1: through it, it's done.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Move on.
- 1:26Speaker 1: How many times have we as people allowed God to
- 1:31Speaker 1: get us through something, get us beyond something, get us
- 1:35Speaker 1: over something, get us through something, and then even after
- 1:39Speaker 1: its completion, we sit there and we dwell on it,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and we dwell on it to the point where it
- 1:46Speaker 1: becomes an anchor around our neck and we can't move on.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We can't move on because we just won't let it go.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It's done. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Move on. Stop harboring on the past.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Stop hanging on to every time you fail, Stop hanging
- 2:09Speaker 1: on to every time you slipped up and messed up,
- 2:12Speaker 1: Stop hanging on to every time you didn't get it right.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So what everybody makes mistakes, Everybody messes up, Everybody don't
- 2:21Speaker 1: get it right. Everybody's struggling with something. You ain't the
- 2:27Speaker 1: only one, but my God, Man, if God got you
- 2:32Speaker 1: through it, it's done.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Move on.
- 2:36Speaker 1: You hanging on to it for it. That's why he
- 2:38Speaker 1: got it, got you through it, so you can move
- 2:40Speaker 1: on from it. See a lot of things that happened
- 2:44Speaker 1: to us that we think are negative or bad experience.
- 2:48Speaker 1: These are lessons and what not to do. This is
- 2:53Speaker 1: a way to have a now, a bearing on. Look
- 2:55Speaker 1: out for it. The next time you got me once
- 2:59Speaker 1: you can't get me again. I'm telling you, man, if
- 3:03Speaker 1: God got you through it, it's done.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Move on.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You have got to move on. I use this analogy
- 3:10Speaker 1: all the time. I'm gonna add a little bit to it.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Bishop Jakes told me you cannot drive your car looking
- 3:20Speaker 1: in the rear view mirror.
- 3:23Speaker 2: See.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You know what your rearview mirror is actually for in
- 3:25Speaker 1: your car. Your rearview mirror is designed. After I pass
- 3:32Speaker 1: a car and I want to merge into that lane,
- 3:36Speaker 1: or I want to make another move, I look up
- 3:39Speaker 1: in the rear view mirror, and all I use it
- 3:43Speaker 1: for it shows me that I've gotten past it. I've
- 3:47Speaker 1: gotten past the vehicle I was passing, and I got
- 3:50Speaker 1: enough room now clear to make my next move. That's
- 3:54Speaker 1: what I use my rearview mirror for. I use my
- 3:57Speaker 1: rear view mirror to just glance up every now and
- 4:00Speaker 1: then to see what's coming up on me. That's all
- 4:04Speaker 1: I use it for. Listen to me real close now.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Your rearview mirror on your car is after you passing something,
- 4:13Speaker 1: or you're passing by something, you can look up in
- 4:16Speaker 1: the rear view mirror and it lets you know you're pasted.
- 4:19Speaker 1: It you're beyond it.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's clear. Now it's in the past.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You no longer have to deal with it as the
- 4:27Speaker 1: car that was in front of you blocking your way.
- 4:30Speaker 2: You have passed it. You look up in the mirror,
- 4:33Speaker 2: you've cleared it.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Now if you on a switch lanes, you could slide
- 4:39Speaker 1: on over.
- 4:40Speaker 2: You got room. But that rear view mirror also lets
- 4:43Speaker 2: you see if.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Anything is coming up on you, and you just need
- 4:47Speaker 1: to glance because if you moving forward, ain't a whole
- 4:50Speaker 1: lot can come up on you. You just glancing every
- 4:53Speaker 1: now and then, and it reminds you that you got
- 4:56Speaker 1: through something and you got beyond something. That's what the
- 4:59Speaker 1: real view mirror for. Or now let's talk about that windshield.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Why you think that windshield so big on your car?
- 5:08Speaker 1: That's the biggest window on your car. You know why
- 5:12Speaker 1: the wind shield so big because it's where you're going.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Because even the automobile makers want you to have a
- 5:21Speaker 1: wide view of where you're going so you can see
- 5:24Speaker 1: what's up ahead. They put lights on the car at
- 5:27Speaker 1: night so you can have night vision and see what's
- 5:30Speaker 1: up ahead. But you can uh, oh man, oh see
- 5:34Speaker 1: not why is that look? Think about that now before
- 5:37Speaker 1: I move forward with this one. Think about that windshield, man,
- 5:41Speaker 1: why is that wind shield so big so you can
- 5:43Speaker 1: see where you're going. It's way more important where you're
- 5:47Speaker 1: going than where you being.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Don't you see that.
- 5:51Speaker 1: That's why the rear view mirror is so small, because
- 5:54Speaker 1: it is nowhere near as important as it is as
- 5:57Speaker 1: to where you're going. While you being just allows you
- 6:00Speaker 1: to take a glance so you can make sure you
- 6:02Speaker 1: cleared it, so you can see if it's room enough
- 6:05Speaker 1: for you to make your next move, so you can
- 6:07Speaker 1: know that you've gone through it and go ahead on
- 6:09Speaker 1: about your business. But that windshield, that windshield is for vision.
- 6:15Speaker 1: A man without a dream of vision shall perish. That
- 6:17Speaker 1: windshield is for somebody going somewhere. That windshielding for somebody
- 6:22Speaker 1: else there trying to make another move. I'm gonna go right,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna left, I'm gonna get off on this exit.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna take this detail. I'm gonna handle this sign.
- 6:29Speaker 1: There's a new route. There's only so many miles left
- 6:32Speaker 1: to go. That's what the windshield got. Let me tell
- 6:35Speaker 1: you something, man, when you see a mile sign, you're
- 6:37Speaker 1: driving on the freeway, you're on the interstate, and you.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Let's say you driving to a particular city and you
- 6:42Speaker 1: see a sign that says that city is thirty eight
- 6:46Speaker 1: or one hundred and thirty eight miles away. That lets
- 6:49Speaker 1: you know where you're going, and you're on the right path. Now.
- 6:52Speaker 2: If you keep looking in the rear view mirror, you'll never.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Know how close you are because you're driving your car
- 7:02Speaker 1: looking in the rear view mirror. You all on the shoulder,
- 7:04Speaker 1: You hit them rocks up under your car. You just
- 7:06Speaker 1: scared yourself to death because you know why, because you
- 7:09Speaker 1: keep looking in the rear view mirror.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Get out the rear view mirror. If God got you
- 7:15Speaker 2: through it, it's done. Move on.
- 7:17Speaker 1: So what he don't love you no more? And man,
- 7:22Speaker 1: let's move on. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Move on. God got something for you.
- 7:28Speaker 1: If you get out your real view mirror and get
- 7:30Speaker 1: up in that windshield, God's got something for you up ahead.
- 7:34Speaker 1: But you can't see what's up ahead because you in
- 7:37Speaker 1: that rear view mirror. If God got you through it,
- 7:40Speaker 1: it's done. Let's move on. Come on, y'all, don't let
- 7:44Speaker 1: the pass beat you up. That's the ingredients in the cake.
- 7:47Speaker 1: You done made that already, that's done. Let's go. God,
- 7:50Speaker 1: look in the windshield, see what God probably got something
- 7:53Speaker 1: new for you.
- 7:54Speaker 2: If you get out the rear view mirror and look,
- 7:55Speaker 2: open up your eyes and see. All right, let's go.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Today as the Steve Harvey Morning Show
