- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here and in this. Episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:44You're going to be listening to a hypnosis session.
- 0:47That isn't for. Grief and bereavement.
- 0:50In the traditional. Sense.
- 0:52For most people, grief starts at the actual point of someone
- 0:57passing someone actually making that transition.
- 1:01From life to. Death.
- 1:03This is different in the sense that the client that I was
- 1:05working with knew that their father was coming to the end of
- 1:09their life and therefore they wanted to really mentally
- 1:15prepare for that and almost start that grief process early
- 1:20by reaching that point. Of understanding and.
- 1:24Acceptance closing any open loops and tidying up any
- 1:28unfinished business so that. They were able.
- 1:32Then to perceive the passing of their father in a really
- 1:37positive and empowered way, rather than for a lot of people
- 1:42there's a very sad occasion, but not.
- 1:44All death. And bereavements need to be sad
- 1:50quite often. It can be more sad if there is
- 1:53an element of surprise or it's feels unfair or unjust.
- 2:00But this? In this case.
- 2:03Their father lived a very long life, accomplished a lot, meant
- 2:06a lot to a lot of other people, and definitely taught them a few
- 2:10life lessons, both of what to do and also what not to do.
- 2:14And therefore it could be possible to harness all of those
- 2:19elements of wisdom and insight before they pass.
- 2:22It was difficult for them to actually have a conversation
- 2:25just because of where they were in terms of cognitive capacity,
- 2:31but that's why there is an element of this hypnosis session
- 2:35which enables them to say anything that they feel.
- 2:38Would be useful. To say even if it means they
- 2:41meet them at a different stage in their life and they said at
- 2:44that point in time is really designed to preempt grief in
- 2:48many. Aspects.
- 2:50And to make the passing more of a positive experience than it
- 2:55would be had they not connected. Certain meanings.
- 3:00To what was happening and reached that point of acceptance
- 3:03earlier. Obviously in this particular
- 3:05case there is a quite specific reference.
- 3:08Is the reference to a father certain memories or things they
- 3:12might have done for them and that might not be relevant for
- 3:15you. If you're listening to this and
- 3:16maybe there's a family member that is close to the end of
- 3:19their life and and you feeling this hypnosis session might be
- 3:22relevant. I would say you can still use
- 3:24this session in the sense that connect to anything that feels
- 3:29relatable to you and just ignore anything that isn't.
- 3:31But if you do feel like a customized session for you and
- 3:35perhaps a loved one that you feel is on the verge of passing,
- 3:38or maybe they have, you know already.
- 3:41Left. You know and passed, but there
- 3:45is open loops and you want a session to help close those
- 3:48loops, close those unfinished business or take out any emotion
- 3:52and that could be anything from sadness to anger, which often
- 3:56can come up when you know there's the point of grief and
- 3:58bereavement. If any of that sounds like it
- 4:01might be beneficial for you, there will be a link in the show
- 4:03notes where you can schedule a completely free consultation
- 4:06call to explore working with me. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 4:09comfortable place where you won't be.
- 4:10Disturbed. Relax.
- 4:12And I won't say enjoy the session, but certainly
- 4:14experience the session. Take a deep breath in, breathing
- 4:56in, a feeling of calm relaxation, and as you exhale,
- 5:06just allow yourself to settle into a deep sense of comfort.
- 5:19Feel as you exhale, tension leaving your body in that
- 5:27outward breath, and notice. Before long, your breathing gets
- 5:38effortless, deeper and more relaxed, almost like your body
- 5:50is doing the breathing for you without any effort required.
- 6:04Scan your body for any clues of tension and imagine that tension
- 6:10melting away and feel it leaving your body in that outward
- 6:17breath. So a miracle happens.
- 6:23The deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become, and the more
- 6:30relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe, taking you deeper
- 6:37and deeper into a state some people call hypnosis.
- 6:51And in that state of hypnosis, your imagination is amplified
- 6:59and supercharged, giving you this sense of experiencing a
- 7:05world in your imagination more like a dream than reality.
- 7:23And I wonder if you can. Use that power of your
- 7:27imagination to imagine. Imagine a place in Palm Springs.
- 7:42Perhaps you could imagine a building, perhaps with the
- 7:48terrace that overlooks the vast golden desert.
- 7:56Maybe you could imagine the sun feeling warm on your skin, or
- 8:04perhaps a gentle breeze carrying the scent of desert flowers.
- 8:12And maybe way off in the distance you can see the outline
- 8:18of the mountain range, see the shape and see it as being strong
- 8:27and steady. And I want you to imagine the
- 8:35most relaxing chair you've ever seen is there on the terrace.
- 8:40Perhaps a reclining. Chair and.
- 8:42Just imagine sitting into that chair and allow yourself to gaze
- 8:48out over the horizon, and with every breath you feel more at
- 8:58ease, more relaxed, as though the world has just slowed down
- 9:07purely for you. In this moment.
- 9:14There are blue skies but a few clouds and focus on the gentle.
- 9:21Movement. Of those clouds, and with your
- 9:26focus on the clouds, a wave of relaxation begins to flow
- 9:32through your body. It starts at the top of your
- 9:37head, perhaps a soft or warm sensation beginning to travel
- 9:44downwards. Any tension in your forehead
- 9:49just releases. Feel your jaw relaxing and maybe
- 9:58your shoulders loosen, and this wonderful sensation of warmth
- 10:04continues down your arms into your fingertips, releasing any
- 10:12and all tension on its way. Feel that you're also releasing
- 10:22any emotional weight that you've been carrying.
- 10:29With each breath your chest expands, and as you exhale, feel
- 10:38that release of any tension in your back or your stomach, just
- 10:43letting go now, sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation.
- 10:56Your legs feel heavy and warm, and soon a deep, peaceful
- 11:05stillness starts to feel like it's a wonderful comfort, almost
- 11:15like a blanket cocooning your entire body with relaxation and
- 11:24calm. You are here, you are safe and
- 11:33you are present, and I want you to imagine keeping your physical
- 11:41body there in the chair, but allowing your imagination to
- 11:46walk through the desert. I want you to imagine your
- 11:54barefoot, so the sand beneath your feet is soft and warm,
- 12:01shifting just slightly as you step forward, and with each step
- 12:09feel yourself drifting deeper into comfort, into that place
- 12:17within your mind of quiet reflection.
- 12:25The desert is vast and peaceful, much like time itself, and just
- 12:34as dunes can shift with the wind, you begin to feel a gentle
- 12:40shift within you, a shift towards even more calm, towards
- 12:48trust and towards acceptance. And as you stand there breathing
- 13:02in the quiet beauty of this place, I wonder if you can allow
- 13:08yourself to send something deeper.
- 13:13And knowing that life is an endless journey, maybe there's a
- 13:20part of you that have always believed that we are eternal
- 13:24beings, simply passing through different experiences.
- 13:31Our body is just a vessel representing different moments
- 13:37in time. And if that applies to you, it
- 13:44applies to everyone else, particularly those that you
- 13:47love. Your father would be no
- 13:50different. And maybe the vehicle for his
- 13:57journey is reaching it's natural time to transition to the very
- 14:08next adventure in a different vessel.
- 14:18Perhaps you believe that in this journey of transition, they are
- 14:26not alone. There is someone waiting with
- 14:31love and warmth. Maybe you can imagine or feel
- 14:38their presence. Perhaps you could imagine that
- 14:43person waiting for him, standing the edge of a shimmering
- 14:50horizon, smiling, arms open, ready to guide him to what comes
- 14:59next. Maybe you see them together,
- 15:08reunited, sharing in the joy of a new beginning.
- 15:16And just as they are finding happiness in this transition, I
- 15:22wonder if you can feel a sense of calm, of trust, of knowing
- 15:29that this perhaps is the right time for him.
- 15:37Maybe you come to a natural evaluation that his soul has
- 15:43lived fully and now he's simply moving forward to the next phase
- 15:52of his next journey, a journey that was always meant for him.
- 16:01And as you breathe in this sense of peace, any lingering fear,
- 16:08anxiety, or resistance begins to fade away.
- 16:15There is no need to overthink, no need to hold on to what was,
- 16:23because what is, is simply the natural flow of life.
- 16:33And you have had the gift of sharing these final years with
- 16:38him. So take this moment to reflect
- 16:45on all or just some of the memories, the moments of
- 16:49laughter, of wisdom, of love. Let gratitude fill you, maybe
- 17:04for the lessons he taught you, for the times you spent
- 17:08together, or for the love that will always remain.
- 17:21And now let your mind drift back to a memory, a moment in time
- 17:27when your father taught you something.
- 17:31Maybe it was a skill, a value, a quality, or just a way of seeing
- 17:38the world. And as you recall this memory,
- 17:45feel the presence of that knowledge or that quality within
- 17:53you, because what he gave you, what he shared with you, still
- 18:03lives inside you. Now that could be his wisdom,
- 18:11his strength, his love. It is all a part of you.
- 18:18And because of that, he is never truly gone.
- 18:29I want you to believe that He will always live through you,
- 18:36through all the ways His presence has shaped your life.
- 18:48And now, in this peaceful place, seeing him when he was at his
- 18:54most vibrant, where there was the strongest connection between
- 19:01you both. Imagine that version of him
- 19:06standing in front of you now, and allow yourself a moment to
- 19:13say anything that still needs to be said.
- 19:20And you could imagine your father here at any stage of his
- 19:24life, perhaps as he is now, or when you felt that strong
- 19:32connection. Because this is your time to
- 19:37speak, to share your heart without hesitation.
- 19:44Maybe there were frustrations, unfinished business, moments of
- 19:48anger that it'd rather was said than not said.
- 19:55Maybe it's to express what he really means to you, the impact
- 20:01he's had, to ask him if he's proud.
- 20:14So whatever it is, this is your moment.
- 20:19Feel yourself saying it now, maybe in your mind or out loud,
- 20:26and feel the relief of knowing that he hears you, that he
- 20:33understands. And as you complete this moment,
- 20:42feel a deep sense of closure, of peace, of knowing that nothing
- 20:52is left unsaid. You have spoken from your heart
- 21:00and in doing so you have freed yourself to fully embrace the
- 21:09beauty and acceptance of what comes next.
- 21:20Give him one final hug, say goodbye and feel yourself
- 21:26walking back through the sands to that balcony.
- 21:32See yourself in that comfortable chair and step inside that
- 21:36version of you, feeling that different parts are becoming
- 21:42one, and allow that version to have permission to drift back to
- 21:51the here and the now. No longer in your imagination,
- 21:56but back in the present moment. But take all, all the feelings,
- 22:07the acceptance, the connection with you as you take a deep
- 22:14breath in through your nose and out through your nose.
- 22:21Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 22:23Connect fully into the here and the now as I now count from 1:00
- 22:29to 10:00 to awaken you. Starting to count 123 Waking up
