- 2:11We're going to bring back with us.
- 2:14Murray Sabrin, who's live in Florida, who was a former professor in New Jersey of economics.
- 2:22And we've had, I think we've had him on the show in the past.
- 2:24I didn't check it last night, but I think we had him on national security on the past.
- 2:27But he does come on the two mics.us.
- 2:29So Murray, welcome back.
- 2:31Great to be with you guys.
- 2:32It's always a pleasure to discuss the issues that uh are so important for the future of the country.
- 2:38Well, that's what I say.
- 2:39I mean, it's not just about you know military and intel, economics is what's happening.
- 2:44And uh, if you saw what the latest is, what are we 1.9 trillion and it's like $1 for 39 cents to do this deal every day.
- 2:54Uh the spending is out of control.
- 2:56And here you have a Republican majority in the Congress, a Republican president, the Republican Party claims to be uh uh standing for fiscal uh responsibility, limited government, and government is running amok, uh whether it's domestically or internationally with an undeclared war and support for Ukraine in a proxy war, uh we're going to the poor house quickly.
- 3:19Uh there are a lot of people doing well because uh this is a huge economy.
- 3:23There are a lot, there's a lot of great activity going on, but uh for a substantial portion of the population, people are struggling day to day.
- 3:31I just saw an item the other day where people are putting their food bill on credit cards, which is unheard of.
- 3:38But this has never happened before.
- 3:40It just shows you that the uh inflation numbers that the consumer that the uh Bureau of Labor State puts out every month, uh, it's probably uh incorrect because the way the consumer price index is calculated, uh, if you spend a lot of money on food and and these uh the index only has x percent of the of the uh food uh goods basket and service basket, and you're spending a lot more on on food, health care, rent, it's uh your your set your cost of living is going up faster than the uh uh official data.
- 4:14So again, this is why government statistics is is uh really a skew, because it doesn't give you in the individual picture of what's happening to the American family.
- 4:24And uh that's why you've got to look at the macro data that the government puts out with a grain of salt, because everyone has their own cost of living index, if you will.
- 4:34For example, my uh monthly fee here in the independent living facility in Naples, Florida, it uh has increased by four and a half percent this year, which is by far the largest part of our uh uh expenditures every month.
- 4:47And so when the president says there's no inflation, and then he poo-poos the fact that gasoline and diesel prices have gone through the roof, and the Wall Street Journal had an article the other day about these so-called supercomputer uh commuters who travel 50 miles or more to work.
- 5:02Uh, some of them don't travel five days a week.
- 5:04Could you imagine spend uh spending 500 uh doing 500 miles a week commuting?
- 5:11And if you get low gas marks, because you have uh an SUV, uh, you're spending maybe 150 to 200 uh a week on gasoline.
- 5:19And some people have said in the article that uh they're cutting back on other things.
- 5:24Uh obviously, uh either food or um going out to uh for meals, maybe they're cutting back on their streaming services.
- 5:31So again, this is this is another example, uh, gentlemen, of how war causes pain, not only physical pain uh of the nations that are involved.
- 5:42In this case, it's Iran and Israel.
- 5:45We've not been affected uh in terms of uh destruction of property or um or a few military people have been uh killed in the Mid East.
- 5:55But uh it the pain is real.
- 5:57I mean, farmers are feeling the pain in terms of cost of fertilizer.
- 6:01So my contention is economic security is the real national security because no one could invade us, no one can take us over.
- 6:10So why we're involved in Ukraine and and the Mid East is just another example of the power of the military-industrial complex.
- 6:19And now it's really the military-industrial Israeli complex that's affecting foreign policy.
- 6:25And um, and we've got a real problem because I think Trump wants to get out of this quagmire, because if this drags on, the Republicans are going to go down big time in November, and therefore, whatever Trump tries to do in his last two years of the presidency will be stifled unless he goes the uh executive route executive order route, which is a possibility, but that just shows you how fractured our quote democracy is, because if you have a uh representative democracy, members of Congress should be voting for all the things that a president wants to implement and not have the president use the uh pen to get something uh across.
- 7:00uh across unless of course it's to reduce this the size and scope of of the federal government i'm all for you in favor of using executive orders for that but other than that you if if you want to increase big government let the representatives stand up and be counted and and show some spine you know in terms of the debt uh Murray really the the the midterms are irrelevant because no matter who controls the Congress they're gonna spend they're gonna put pass more money yep um there'll be a lot of terrible things that democrats will push through but those can be vetoed yeah but uh on money you know they have they have kindred spirits on the other side of the aisle well this is why when you look at so called bipartisanship you know what bipartisanship means it means when two foxes and a hen get together and we'll decide what that for dinner that's bipartisanship well I've always dreaded the word bi bater bipartisanship you know because all that means is the lowest common denominator which is always to spend more money money and and start more wars.
- 7:01Unless, of course, it's to reduce this the size and scope of the federal government.
- 7:06I'm all for you in favor of using executive orders for that.
- 7:09But other than that, if you want to increase big government, let the representative stand up and be counted and show some spine.
- 7:18You know, in terms of the debt, uh Murray.
- 7:22Really, the the midterms are irrelevant because no matter who controls the Congress, they're gonna spend
- 8:05Yeah it's really the uniparty guys it's the Utaparty now there was a wonderful there was a wonderful book written I don't know 30 some odd years ago a statistical analysis of voting uh by members of Congress and the conclusion is the longer they stay in the matter which party that they're for they keep on voting for bigger and bigger budgets.
- 8:23So this isn't this is why we need term limits because if you're there for uh six years or 12 years uh you can't do too much harm but the problem is uh the political and financial elites always push through somebody who's going to increase spending no matter what and I was watching um Thomas Massey's uh interview with uh Tupper Carlson uh the other day and he's in a very heated primary in uh Kentucky well they're going after him big time Murray and they've already spent 10 million dollars for a congressional seat in Kentucky I mean it's mind boggling how much money the uh the military industrial Israeli complex has in order to defeat the low one of the few voices in Congress for a sane foreign policy for a constitutional foreign policy this is what gets me as someone who took an oath to uphold the constitution when I became a U.S.
- 9:11citizen in 1959 and members of Congress and the president and the his and the vice president the cabinet members taking an oath to uphold the constitution they haven't done so none of them have in my lifetime since I became a citizen in 1959 that's nearly 70 years ago president after president after president Republican and Democrat except for a few exceptions like Ron Paul and Thomas Massey and maybe a handful of others have have been um not faithful to their oath of upholding the constitution so when you have a president that can go to a war because he thinks it's a good idea because people have whispered into his ear because they've funded his campaign to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars this is this is the big scandal that uh is uh that has unfolded in Washington and um Trump if this thing continues Trump's gonna go down as one of the worst presidents in history numbers right now his numbers right now today are lower than Nixon right it's it's it's astonishing it's a stonish and then as a Durale and you're in Florida you know about the the golfing at the Durral last weekend was the lowest show up turnout of of this event this tournament because he unveiled his Kim El Jung gold statue.
- 10:26Everybody didn't want to be there.
- 10:28Yeah no it's this is a cult this uh MAGA has turned into a cult not only that the Wall Street Journal uh today Friday has a front page article which I hope everyone reads if not they can go to my substack because I'm gonna link it on my substack it points out that Trump is a socialist.
- 10:48He has the federal government taking equity stake in companies Obama had done this or Joe Biden had done this the Republicans would be screaming their heads off in Congress socialism, Karl Marx, Marxism, communism instead the Republicans in Congress are are quiet.
- 11:03It just shows you not only how hypocritical they are how how they uh embrace whatever the president wants without any critical thinking about what this means for the future of the country and what it means for for uh the rule of law because there's nothing in as I can see that gives the president the right to use taxpayer dollars which by the way have to be borrowed since we're running a two trillion dollar deficit to to uh buy stock now the good news from the American taxpayer is intel stock has tripled since uh since the federal government took a stake in intel so is the federal government going to sell that and uh and use the do we see a bonus do we get any kind of a a stipend remember this is statism Murray this is total state is where we are now too bad Tommy de Sablo wasn't on with us one day we're gonna do a show with you and Tommy de Sablo Tommy de Sabla is all over when it comes to statism go ahead Mike yeah Marie I think I think too we have to look at this as and I always come back to this this this must represent what the can what the educational system has come down to.
- 12:07Yep.
- 12:08Because all of those people are college graduates and all of those people know about the constitution and all but I mean they don't un they either didn't understand the teaching or the teaching was slanted towards statism which I think probably is the case in many in many instances.
- 12:24No it's it's pretty simple public schools are socialist institutions.
- 12:28So therefore what do you do?
- 12:29You're going to you're going to talk about how the wonders of socialism how great it is let me give you an antidote from uh a couple decades ago or more uh when I was teaching a course at in the evening and one of my students who was from the Mid East he's um he said one of his uh professors from not the business school from another school in the at uh Rampo College was was extolling the virtues of of uh socialism and and he's he spoke up and said I lived under socialism what are you talking about how great socialism is and I I gotta give it to these young people who lived under these oppressive conditions of socialism stand up to their professors and say you're full of BS and um and and this is exactly what he did and it's it's great to see young people who've lived under these horrendous conditions speak out and unfortunately today it's uh I haven't been in the classroom now for nearly six years so I don't know what's going on but in the business school you're basically teaching technical subjects about business I taught finance we have accounting uh you have other disciplines where you don't really don't talk about public policy so much but uh I talked about public policy in my financial history of the United States course and just to show students what happens when the government intervenes when the banking system is um uh uh skewed when uh you print up money and uh we went through uh this uh from the colonial period up until uh the present and students loved it because they got an insight that they would they didn't get in any other uh class let alone a history class or an economics class and so when you present material based upon facts and you use economic principles and financial analysis students get it and unfortunately the Bernie Sanders the AOCs the Elizabeth Warren's and the the rest of the gang of um of economic illiterates in Washington don't get it and and that goes for uh uh Republican they only get capitalism they only get capitalism Murray when it's their bank account or their trading account you know they go in there with 29 cents
- 14:00And so when you present material based upon facts and you use economic principles and financial analysis, students get it.
- 14:10And unfortunately, the Bernie Sanders, the AOCs, the Elizabeth Warren's, and the rest of the gang of um of economic illiterates in Washington, don't get it.
- 14:19And that goes for uh uh Republican.
- 14:21They only get capitalism, they only get capitalism, Murray, when it's their bank account or their trading account.
- 14:27You know, they go in there with 29 cents inside of five, six years, they got 10, 20 million dollars, and everybody's trading on the same platform, which is stocks and bonds.
- 14:36Guys, we're coming down to the last two minutes.
- 14:38Michael, go ahead.
- 14:40Yeah, I uh it's just uh remarkable.
- 14:43And you know, the way things have worked in this country for the last 40 years, I bet there's committee uh committee in Congress now that's trying to figure out how we're gonna pay to rebuild if if nobody wins the war, rebuild Iran and Israel and all the Gulf states.
- 15:00So and that will probably uh what did they say?
- 15:06That'll probably dwarf the amount of money we spent on the war.
- 15:11It's a vicious circle.
- 15:12The Keynesian economists would love this.
- 15:14You destroy things and you build them up, and uh this is supposed to be good for economic growth, but you destroyed infrastructure, you destroyed uh residential housing, that you destroyed commerce, uh historical, historical monuments, too.
- 15:29Yeah, yeah, this is why uh war can be summed up in two words death and destruction.
- 15:37That's what it comes down to.
- 15:38That's it.
- 15:39That's it.
- 15:39And if you don't believe in diplomacy, and you've got two characters with no diplomatic uh credentials negotiating for the United States.
- 15:50Save that for part two.
- 15:51Wait, Murray, save that for the second segment, because I was just gonna say I looked at the eight ball today and I said, I know the future, it's Kushner Construction Inc.
- 16:01coming down, right?
- 16:02All right, guys, we gotta go to the break.
- 16:04So what does that mean?
- 16:05How do you get this first amendment?
- 16:07How do you get this freedom of speech?
- 16:08On America Outloud.news, there's only one way.

- 19:02America out loud dot news is that place to awaken your heart, soul, and mind to the all about truth.
- 19:18All right, welcome back to segment two.
- 19:20We're on with Murray Sabrin live, 8 p.m.
- 19:22tonight, Monday, Eastern.
- 19:23Don't forget to share everybody, it's 8 p.m.
- 19:25Eastern.
- 19:26It all starts in the East.
- 19:27Remember that.
- 19:28And we have Dr.
- 19:29Michael Shire and myself.
- 19:30Murray, we were just talking about the Kushner.
- 19:33And uh, you know, how is this legal?
- 19:35How do you send two real estate guys who are cutting deals and getting money in between?
- 19:40So I think what they did is they segregated them by saying, well, they they didn't have to get a government clearance because they're good citizens out there trying to make peace, a piece for their pocket and a piece for his pocket, right?
- 19:51Isn't that what the peace is all about?
- 19:53Well, this is this is why the credibility of the United States has plummeted around the world because how can people overseas who have who are career diplomats take the United States seriously when you don't have any diplomats negotiating uh the end of this conflict?
- 20:10And it's just stunning that the Congress has not said anything.
- 20:14Uh, I don't know if the Democrats have spoken up, but the Republicans certainly should.
- 20:18But they're but Trump has such a lock on the Republican Party, none of them want to speak out except Thomas Massey and maybe a handful of others.
- 20:25But uh, this is shameful.
- 20:26This is really the most shameful thing.
- 20:28I remember when the negotiations were going on in 73 with Vietnam and Henry Kissinger was uh, I think leading the negotiations.
- 20:35Uh he I believe was Secretary of State at the time.
- 20:39So again, it just shows you Trump doesn't know what he's doing.
- 20:43He's either being a uh a puppet of um uh the uh military industrial Israel lobby, or uh someone who said he's he's we have to stop these endless wars, he does 180 degrees from what he campaigned on.
- 20:58So MAGA has morphed into instead of America first, we now have domestic socialism and uh uh perpetual war overseas.
- 21:00Into instead of America first, we now have domestic socialism and uh uh perpetual war overseas.
- 21:08And uh it's is it's Israeli first, then it's Ukraine first.
- 21:08And uh it's it's Israeli first, then it's Ukraine first.
- 21:12I can't believe these guys are wearing these pins on the lapel, they got the Ukrainian flag.
- 21:12I can't believe these guys are wearing these pins on the lapel, they got the Ukrainian flag.
- 21:16If you go outside the congressional offices, and I I was talking to somebody the other day about doing this, Murray, going up to Capitol Hill and just videoing all the foreign flags outside these offices.
- 21:16If you go outside the congressional offices, and I I was talking to somebody the other day about doing this, Murray, going up to Capitol Hill and just videoing all the foreign flags outside these offices.
- 21:26Why do we have foreign flags outside our offices?
- 21:26Why do we have foreign flags outside our offices?
- 21:28I don't get it.
- 21:28I don't get it.
- 21:29They took an oath to uphold the constitution, which means protecting the American people from any external aggression.
- 21:37That is the foremost responsibility of the federal government.
- 21:41If you fail that, then everything that you do has no credibility.
- 21:45Not only is it not authorized by the country.
- 21:48It's treason.
- 21:51I guess uh ultimately you could say that because you're not supposed to have uh a foreign nation's interest in heart when you vote on bills, you're supposed to have the American people's interest at heart when you're voting on these bills, and uh again, every foreign aid dollar has to be borrowed.
- 22:08Well, the federal government's gonna be borrowing over two trillion dollars this fiscal year, which ends September 30th, which is not that far away.
- 22:15And uh we'll just see this enormous expenditure that's taking place, and um there's no way that the Republican Party can carry the mantle of fiscal conservatism over government.
- 22:27And this is why when I I don't listen to the talking heads on radio anymore.
- 22:31All they are is an echo chamber for the Trump administration.
- 22:34But when I hear them when I heard them speak that the Republican parties for fiscal discipline and fiscal responsibility, uh, it's laughable, it's a joke.
- 22:43I mean, they're pulling the will over people's eyes, and people are buying this stuff.
- 22:47I mean, people who who are embracing what Trump is doing as America first just uh uh are just mindless uh robot uh robots because it's sympathic uh what do you call cultic, like you said, cultic.
- 23:00Murray, let me tell you how bad it is.
- 23:02Yesterday they announced there's an app now.
- 23:05Now truckers are hardworking guys, you know that they're driving up and down the roads, it's sure it's dangerous.
- 23:11Now they usually pull over, you know, on lanes on interstates or you know, uh rest centers, rest stops to get a little sleep or wherever they can.
- 23:20Now there's an app to trap the to track the trucks where they are and have these truck stops charge them a monetized fee to park there.
- 23:29Somebody came out with this app.
- 23:30Um, and I and I questioned it because I want to know who created it and what country and who are the people behind it.
- 23:37I mean, so you want every nickel and dime out of every hardworking uh blue-collar person, and yet you're sticking these AI uh data centers in just New Jersey last night in Andover.
- 23:49There's a big riot.
- 23:50They locked up a grandma because she spoke out.
- 23:53Okay, they're they're putting in these things and they're they don't give you any you you have no chance to have a conversation about if it's good, legal or whatever.
- 24:01And then later on, when the noise comes and the water problems and all that, they're gonna say, Hey, what are you gonna do?
- 24:06You know, um, we're sorry.
- 24:08No, you you you just can't put it in there.
- 24:10The people have a right, they're paying property taxes, and the most city centers they don't give any tax benefits to the people.
- 24:18Not the Murray, it's all behind closed doors.
- 24:21Well, uh, when I was a candidate for office in New Jersey, I and people were asking about local development.
- 24:26I said, if someone wants to build either a shopping center or uh a residential development, they should pay for all the infrastructure with the utility companies and the roads, the infrastructure.
- 24:36And I think one town in New Jersey, uh, I spoke to the mayor when I was campaigning.
- 24:41He said uh we have uh a new office complex coming in, and they're paying for all the infrastructure development, which doesn't put a burden on the taxpayer.
- 24:48And so this is the way it should be done.
- 24:50This is what a free market is all about.
- 24:52If you want something, you pay for it, like the uh auto insurance company that has an ad on TV.
- 24:57Only pay for what you need.
- 24:59Well, only pay for what you want, and you can only do that in a free market.
- 25:03You can't do it in a tax and spend situation because you don't have a choice.
- 25:07If you don't like what the government's spending money on, too bad.
- 25:10You still have to pay your taxes, whether it's at the local, state, or federal level.
- 25:13So again, taxes and spending are anti-consumer, anti-family, anti-individual, anti-business, and they just don't get it because infrastructure can be developed by private companies, utilities, and and uh everybody else.
- 25:28I mean, someone puts together a development of a couple hundred acres, they have to pay for all the infrastructure, whether it's the water or or sewage or whatever.
- 25:36They they are responsible for that, and they hook up to the main lines and and that's it without the taxpayer footing the bill, plus education, that's another big expenditure at the local level.
- 25:46Um, I think uh property tax two-thirds of property local property taxes pay for education.
- 25:53Well, if you're single or a couple with no kids or a senior, you still have to pay property taxes to support education.
- 25:59So, again, here's another example of the redistribution of income from people who don't have use of the system, the school system.
- 26:08And if you are a parent that sends your kid to a private school or home school uh in New Jersey in Florida, they've done something about it.
- 26:14There's some sort of uh benefit that parents get if they send their kids to a private school or a home school, which is one step in the way of severing the relationship between taxes and education, it should be a fee for service just so as we pay for a fee for service for utilities, for uh cell phones, for cable service, for streaming services, everything that we want, we have to pay out of pocket because we have to determine is this a good value for our dollars that we earn, or is it not a good value?
- 26:45And uh it's as simple as that.
- 26:47This is why uh the Austrian school that the uh Mises Institute has been promoting now for uh uh 40 years, is the most comprehensive correct analysis of how civilization works, how people interact with each other in a peaceful way, and this is why we have a high standard of living, despite all the things that government has done to the people for the past 200 plus years since we became uh the United States of America.
- 27:16And um, Ryan McMahon has a very good piece on Mises.org.
- 27:21Uh, I haven't read it yet, but I just saw the headline.
- 27:23He said the key to to making the the uh the country much better is to have secession.
- 27:29So oh my gosh, let's go right to the guy, Dr.
- 27:33Michael Shoyer, your favorite word, sir.
- 27:35Go ahead.
- 27:36I read I read that yesterday, I think.
- 27:40I haven't written about just the title alone, uh uh uh just makes me really uh excited about what people are thinking because after all, what are we celebrating on July 4th?
- 27:52The 250th anniversary secession of the colonies from Great Britain, right?
- 27:58Exactly.
- 27:58We have to make that point, guys.
- 28:00Guys, we have to make the point that the colonies seceded for Britain because of all the uh uh violations of individual rights outlined in the declaration.
- 28:00We have to make the point that the colonies seceded for Britain because of all the uh uh uh violations of individual rights outlined in the declaration.
- 28:11I mean, this is the thing that uh I'll be writing about for July 4.
- 28:11I mean, this is the thing that I'll be writing about for July 4.
- 28:14This was a secessionist movement, and that's what the South wanted to do in 1861 because of the high tariffs that uh were and there was no reason, no legal reason why they shouldn't have.
- 28:14This was a secessionist movement, and that's what the South wanted to do in 1861 because of the high tariffs that uh were and there was no reason, no legal reason why they shouldn't have.
- 28:24No, because they were completely uh they would be today.
- 28:24No, because they were completely uh they would be today, yeah.
- 28:28Yeah, the colonies entered the the union voluntarily in the South made the point.
- 28:28The colonies entered.
- 28:33Well, we can leave voluntarily, but Lincoln didn't want that because the South was the cash cow for the federal government with the uh with the tariffs.
- 28:40But getting back to the contemporary situation, uh the courts just ruled that uh Trump's tariffs are illegal um under section what, 230, whatever the section was.
- 28:50So again, the courts have to push back on uh executive overreach.
- 28:55And that's really the uh checks and balances that we have because the Congress is not doing anything about it.
- 29:00We have good news in Virginia today, Murray.
- 29:02We have good news of Virginia.
- 29:04You know, they did the gerrymandarin a couple of weeks ago, right?
- 29:06The uh April, what was it?
- 29:08April 1st or 8th.
- 29:09Uh the court, Supreme Court of Virginia threw it out and said it's it's done.
- 29:14And now the Democrats are saying our democracy, see the quotation, our democracy, not our republic, our democracy is being challenged, meaning their democracy.
- 29:23So now it's going to become a race thing, and but you can't do nothing about it.
- 29:28It's going to go right to the midterms.
- 29:29And all of the people who were, what would you say, Mike?
- 29:33Opposed, all of the people that were basically kicked out, all these other uh counties and so on, they're they're not gonna vote for these people come the midterms.
- 29:43You know that because they would they're just gonna kick out all of these people.
- 29:48And yesterday the FBI rated the superstar of the Senate in Virginia, Louise Lucas, for corruption and all kinds of other things.
- 29:57They rated her office, which is good because she's basically the backbone of the governor.
- 30:02And it's going to be a race thing.
- 30:04I believe me, they're gonna turn it upside down to be a race thing.
- 30:07It's not gonna, it's not gonna matter this time around, because even the black people get it, even the black people got it.
- 30:15You're gonna have nine Democrats, Murray, and one Republican in the state of Virginia.
- 30:20Come on.
- 30:20Here's the irony.
- 30:22Uh uh 62 years after the Civil Rights Act was passed, that the that the Civil Rights Act passed was supposed to give us a colorblind society.
- 30:30So what did states do?
- 30:31They gerrymanded districts.
- 30:33So uh you have racial uh majorities in the in these districts.
- 30:38Uh the Wall Street Journal had a notorial showing what the what one of the congressional districts looked like.
- 30:43It was a diagonal, it was a diagonal from the northwest part of the state to the southeast part of the state.
- 30:48It had it it just defies a comprehension and rationale.
- 30:53Congressional districts should be contiguous where people in a locale have representation so they can get together and don't have to drive 150, 200 miles to uh get to their representative's office or uh have a town hall meeting.
- 31:07I mean, I saw this, I saw this thing, it looked like a snake uh across the across uh Louisiana.
- 31:13And for anyone to say that this is good uh uh uh apportionment of districts is just it's absurd.
- 31:20And um Jason Riley had a very good uh uh uh essay in the Wall Street Journal the other day about that.
- 31:27And uh, and this shows you if you have if you have a thinking brain, which uh which is uh something that is rare in in Congress and in and in government in general, uh you have to come up with with uh uh a logic to have the districts that are so uh geographically dispersed, it doesn't make any sense.
- 31:49In New Jersey, there was one district that was really bizarre, went from the Hudson River to the New York State border to the Pennsylvania border.
- 31:56It made no sense whatsoever.
- 31:58It went from uh it went from suburban uh in New York, uh suburban Jersey, um, heavily uh uh populated uh to the to the uh that uh rural parts of Sussex County, which is uh basically all farms and um and uh rural area.
- 32:14It made no sense whatsoever.
- 32:16And so this is an example of how politicians really screw things up when it comes to uh uh congressional districts, and you should have a nonpartisan commission drawing uh districts based upon population, not race or anything like that.
- 32:32And I think it has to be less.
- 32:33Murray, I think we these guys cannot have a 500,000 population district, it's just too big.
- 32:39You know, it should be less than that.
- 32:41Well, then that's what some people have argued that we should increase the uh the Congress or the the districts are no more than 300,000, uh which would mean uh probably a doubling of the number of representatives.
- 32:53Uh that'd be over a thousand, no, oh but about uh over 900, but 900 um members of the House.
- 33:00Uh so again, the problem we know is that the government is too big.
- 33:04So the question is uh do we want more people uh um oh yeah, that's a that's a danger too.
- 33:10It's a danger too.
- 33:12Well, another 400 avaricious people.
- 33:15Well, well, that's it.
- 33:16I mean, they're they're getting uh getting paid, uh have a cushy job, but God knows what other uh benefits they're getting.
- 33:22Um and uh we we we know in the uh in the old days, uh people would get bags full of money in their congressional office or outside their congressional office.
- 33:31Uh now uh with uh camp so-called campaign finance reform, you now have super packs uh uh uh with the so-called uh dark money uh going against somebody like Thomas Massey standing up with the constitution.
- 33:44This is so ironic about Thomas Massey.
- 33:46You've got these billionaires uh who don't like him because he's not uh a reliable vote for more war and more foreign aid.
- 33:54Um and he doesn't genuflect before the Israeli lobby.
- 33:57And so uh they're going after him in a way that is stunning.
- 34:00And by the way, I would make a condition of being a candidate in a primary or a general election, and this would have knocked Trump out of the 2024 uh Republican primary.
- 34:11If you don't debate, you don't deserve to be elected.
- 34:15That's my problem.
- 34:16I think that's right, Curry.
- 34:18Because you know, there's there's one more thing, too.
- 34:20I think that's it has troubled me about the Iran business.
- 34:25Or the yeah, the Iran business.
- 34:26I get Iran and Iraq mixed up.
- 34:29But it's it's is as if we decided to send in 1941 or 1939, two Jewish Americans to deal with Hitler.
- 34:41You know, the idea of sending two of obviously uh Netanyahu's agents to deal with the Ayatollahs.
- 34:50To me, it's just it's a lack, it's either a lack of common sense or they wanted the war to happen no matter what.
- 34:57Yeah.
- 34:58It's it really is an astounding uh lack of common sense.
- 35:00Uh lack of common sense.
- 35:02It's just Michael and Murray, Michael and Murray.
- 35:02It's just Michael and Murray, Michael and Murray.
- 35:05Let me say something to you.
- 35:05Let me say something to you.
- 35:06It was it was exposed that during the negotiations that J.D.
- 35:06It was it was exposed that during the negotiations that J.D.
- 35:11Vance made multiple calls to the president as to how the talks were going.
- 35:11Vance made multiple calls to the president as to how the talks were going.
- 35:16They also leaked that he made multiple calls to Netanyahu.
- 35:16They also leaked that he made multiple calls to Netanyahu.
- 35:20Yeah.
- 35:20Yeah.
- 35:20Isn't it great?
- 35:21Yeah.
- 35:21Yeah.
- 35:23No, that's really dangerous.
- 35:23No, that's really dangerous.
- 35:24That's really dangerous.
- 35:24That's really dangerous.
- 35:25Well, you talk about you talk about the tail whelling uh uh
- 35:25Well, you talk about you talk about the tail while uh wagging the dog.
- 35:30I mean, we're the big dog on this on the international scene.
- 35:33Trump says how great our military is, and uh this thing is going to be over in no time.
- 35:38Johnson said the same thing in 65 when he committed a lot of people.
- 35:40You remember that, Murray?
- 35:42You remember that?
- 35:42Oh, do I remember that?
- 35:44I was home.
- 35:45Well, I was in uh summer school that that was my first summer after my first year in college, and I was home in the afternoon in Johnson at a press conference announcing that uh uh 100,000 troops or so are going to Vietnam and uh it should be over soon as we mop things up there.
- 36:01Yeah, uh we didn't get out till 10 years later.
- 36:03I mean, it's it's it's it's unbelievable how these presidents have no knowledge or very little knowledge of the areas of the world that they're sending troops to, uh, whether it was Korea under Truman, uh, Vietnam under Johnson and Nixon, and uh Bush, uh, the two Bushes in in Iraq and and now uh and now uh Trump in in uh uh Ukraine and now Trump in in um Iran.
- 36:32It just shows you where are the diplomats, where's the State Department?
- 36:36Where are the where are the knowledgeable people?
- 36:37Where are the adults in the room who who are saying to Trump, do you really want to get bogged down with the Iranians?
- 36:44Do you understand the Iranian culture?
- 36:45Do you understand the Iranian people?
- 36:46They don't understand any that's the problem.
- 36:48Murray, I speak to people overseas all the time.
- 36:51Good friends are good allies in Southeast Asia and good friends, okay?
- 36:54And they're like, you know, we've we stuck with you guys a long time, but you're torturing us now.
- 36:59These people have it much worse with the petrol, they have it much worse with the food.
- 37:03And these are poor, these are not third world, but you know, better than third world, right?
- 37:08But in the same token, it's like, how do we stick by you when China's trying to play the game of looking like the diplomat and you guys are unbashing China?
- 37:18It doesn't look good, guys.
- 37:20Oh okay.
- 37:21Gosh, we're out of time.
- 37:22All right, so we're gonna go to the break, and you know what happens?

- 39:13We're on with Murray Samper and Dr.
- 39:15Mike, 8 p.m.
- 39:16every Monday to National Security Hour on America Out Loud.news.
- 39:19Murray's gonna open up the last segment.
- 39:21And Murray, we were just saying that during the commercial.
- 39:25How do you lose money if you're Trump?
- 39:27So let me just give us an example.
- 39:29Well, he had Trump shuttle, which uh which uh folded pretty quickly.
- 39:34Then he had Trump University, which uh there were all sorts of lawsuits about that, and then you have casinos, and I guess Trump shows that the House doesn't always win in a casino.
- 39:46I mean, if you have a casino, you should be raking in the money.
- 39:49But Atlantic City uh started off great in the 1970s and uh started going down, and uh and Trump had places uh had three casinos, I think at one time.
- 40:00He also, I think uh had the whole uh the plaza hotel in New York City, which is sort of an iconic uh uh structure.
- 40:08Uh I mean, he's not a good manager.
- 40:10I mean, he had some uh obviously Trump Tower.
- 40:14He did the um he did the uh he redid the Commodore Hotel by Grand Central Station.
- 40:19That turned out into a uh pretty uh uh a good Oh, yeah.
- 40:23That became the higher that was the hired hotel, yes.
- 40:25Yeah, that was uh I was there, it's a very nice hotel.
- 40:28Uh Murray, can I tell you a quick story?
- 40:30Let me tell you a quick story.
- 40:31When we went to the opening of the Hyatt Hotel, I'll never forget it.
- 40:34It was in the 70s, right?
- 40:36So I'm with a buddy of mine.
- 40:37We were on Wall Street, we come down, we want to see this place, how it looks.
- 40:40So I'm sitting at the bar and I don't want to drink any whiskey.
- 40:43So I said to the guy, can I have a tea?
- 40:44And he said, sure.
- 40:45So he said, Would you like an herbal tea?
- 40:47I didn't even know what an herbal tea was at the time.
- 40:49I said, sure, no problem.
- 40:51Five dollars and fifty cents.
- 40:54Goodness.
- 40:55What five dollars and fifty cents for an herbal tea at the bar.
- 41:00Today that would be a lot of money.
- 41:02Back then it was a fortune.
- 41:03Oh, they were just ripping your eyes out back then.
- 41:05It was it was the new Hyatt, you know, Trump's Trump was involved in it, you know.
- 41:09Yeah, yeah.
- 41:10I mean, uh, he wants to put his name on everything, and um uh I mean, his uh his uh private plane that took uh Donald Jr.
- 41:19to Greenland, and it's another fiasco.
- 41:21I mean, he wants to take over Greenland.
- 41:23I mean, uh he he's making the ugly American look uglier.
- 41:27That's what he's doing.
- 41:29Well, you know, you know, Murray, there is there is uh there is a question of does anybody in this country is it is are they able in a in a position of importance are able to discern between a real threat to the United States and uh a made-up one?
- 41:47Uh Iran was no threat to the United States.
- 41:50How could they be?
- 41:51I mean, we we heard this with with Vietnam, we heard this with Iraq.
- 41:56I mean, how can these third world countries be a threat to the United States?
- 42:00And uh uh when I hear these things, I I say to my my blood pressure goes up, right?
- 42:00And uh uh when I hear these things, I I say to my my blood pressure goes up, right?
- 42:05Historically have low blood pressure, but uh how can people with a straight face say that these third world countries are a threat to the United States?
- 42:05We have low blood pressure, but uh how can people with a straight face say that these third world countries are a threat to the United States?
- 42:13I mean, it it defies common sense, it defies logic, and uh it just shows you that what what is the real agenda, and it's really about money and power and control.
- 42:13I mean, it it defies common sense, it defies logic, and uh it just shows you that what is the real agenda, and it's really about money and power and control.
- 42:24That's what it comes down to.
- 42:24That's what it comes down to.
- 42:26That's what government is all about.
- 42:26That's what government is all about.
- 42:27It's about power, it's control, it's about.
- 42:27It's about power, it's control, it's about grabbing as much money for themselves and for their cronies.
- 42:34That's what it is.
- 42:35You know, I I and I don't mean to disagree with you, but I just have a little niche of inter of experience in working on uh the Arctic.
- 42:44And we are miles and miles behind the developments of the Chinese and especially the Russians, yeah.
- 42:52And taking control of Greenland without a war would be I think a way to catch up with them.
- 43:01But when they talk about other kinds of of threats, I mean if Iran was a threat to us, Reagan would have destroyed what he could after they killed 240 Marines, yeah.
- 43:14Yep.
- 43:14And it's it's I'll take it down to the lowest common denominator, Mike.
- 43:19Somebody's yelling debt to America, so they got to invade a country.
- 43:22People come on, they're gonna find out at some point, but what that the Iranians have been really saying debt to America, yeah.
- 43:33What I find fascinating, uh not fascinating, but really uh it shows you how intellectually dishonest the reporting has been.
- 43:40Uh, why doesn't people uh few people have mentioned this?
- 43:43Uh like Jeffrey Sachs on Judge Napolitano's podcast and others.
- 43:47I mean, the United States and Great Britain overthrew a democratically elected government in 1953 and stole the Shah, who who had a secret police that was trained by the Mossad.
- 43:56So of course, the the uh Iranian people hate the United States for overthrowing uh elected government and and hate the Israelis for uh helping the Shah uh torture them during his reign in office.
- 44:09So so people don't have a historical context why the uh uh Iranians are so upset with the United States government and the Israeli government.
- 44:18And and this is something that needs to be bring brought to the forefront.
- 44:23Why are the why uh is the United States so heavily involved in Iran?
- 44:28It's because of Israel wants the hegemon in the Middle East, and uh also no one talks about Israel's nuclear weapons, and they have the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, Iran has and um again.
- 44:43I heard um uh somewhere on on the internet, I think it was on Tucker Carlson's interview with Thomas Massey that uh 30 something Democrats have called for um uh release or acknowledgement that Israel has nuclear weapons, and so uh I think that issue is going to be percolating because why can't Israel have nuclear weapons and Iran not, which of course they don't want.
- 45:09The point I made on a radio show the other day um is that uh isn't it interesting that the United States has never attacked a nation with nuclear weapons?
- 45:19Isn't that fascinating?
- 45:21No one talks about this.
- 45:22If you have a new one to come, Murray.
- 45:27I mean, this this shows you that the United States absolutely the United States has become the international bully under both Republicans and Democrats, and um and it's especially true that we become the bully and the and the bad guy at a time that we still speak about our values, yeah, yeah.
- 45:50Yeah, values, yeah.
- 45:51You hear that crap and you look around uh to hear the politicians speak, there's no values in this country except the uh value of gaining and holding power.
- 45:59Yeah, what really bugs me, Mike and Murray is this is our 250th anniversary.
- 46:04We should be at peace.
- 46:05We should be celebrating.
- 46:07You remember Murray back in the bicentennial when we had the bicentennial.
- 46:11Yes, sure.
- 46:12It was really boosted and and it was worked up.
- 46:15And I don't know where you were, but I was right under the Verizontal Bridge back then.
- 46:19We camped out early.
- 46:20It was people wall to wall, grass to grass, uh uh metal to metal on the bars, you know, waiting for the operation sale to come through underneath Arizona.
- 46:31It was gorgeous.
- 46:32You know, they had pull out sections and color magazines, and today it doesn't even feel like that.
- 46:37The economies drab and people are hurting, and we're in we're involved in a conflict with Iran, uh, really a war.
- 46:45Okay, and what what are we supposed to celebrate on July?
- 46:48I don't get it.
- 46:49Well, it's gonna be fascinating to hear what Trump has to say because if I think he wants to end this by July 4th and saying, what a great peace I I've made.
- 46:59And I think that's what I think that's what he wants.
- 47:01So he has less than two months to come up with a peace agreement with Iran.
- 47:05Otherwise, what's he gonna say?
- 47:07Uh Iran is such a threat to the United States, we can't have we can't let them have a nuclear weapon.
- 47:12What why is it okay?
- 47:14Why shouldn't they have a nuclear weapon?
- 47:15But Israel can, North Korea can, India, Pakistan, uh, Russia, China, why can I Saudi Arabia?
- 47:22Saudi Arabia's got Pakistani, yeah.
- 47:24Uh I mean, the the this is an example of propaganda at at its uh at its worst.
- 47:30That uh to say that Iran is a threat to us, and they may get one nuclear weapon.
- 47:35And Trump said what two weeks ago that they can destroy the world with one nuclear weapon.
- 47:41I mean, I mean, uh you know who's propaganda that was that was the same thing you could watch on YouTube, Murray.
- 47:49All the years they have the compilation of Netanyahu saying, if we just do this, if we just do this, if we just do this, if we let them have this, and then and then you know, Iraq.
- 47:59Look at the civilized civilization of Iraq today.
- 48:02It'll take another 50 years for it to get normalized.
- 48:05You know, I mean, it's ridiculous.
- 48:06And then we had the Iraq-Iran war back years ago, remember?
- 48:10We sided with Saddam, we gave them the money, yeah.
- 48:13You would think by now the Iranians would have attacked us between Iraq and Iran, right?
- 48:18And what's going on now, you would say, well, when they're gonna lob something.
- 48:21And I I'm concerned because you know something, they are more level-headed than the Israelis, because if they wanted to buy now, they could have dropped something into America, and there's no guarantee we would have intercepted it.
- 48:34Uh if we don't get this settled soon, this is gonna drag on, it's gonna drag the Republican Party into oblivion.
- 48:43And uh Trump could be the Herbert Hoover of the 21st century where where the Republicans don't win a presidency for for that's a new shirt, Murray.
- 48:51That's a new shirt.
- 48:52We put Hoover, we we we put Hoover over Trump with the hairdo.
- 48:56We could have a new shirt.
- 48:59I mean uh Trump is I think he's uh undermining the Republican Party for years and years.
- 49:00Trump is I think he's undermining the Republican Party for years and years.
- 49:04He is, he's a globalist.
- 49:05He's a globalist.
- 49:05Murray, he's a globalist, no doubt about it.
- 49:05Murray, he's a globalist, no doubt about it.
- 49:08Well, he he's taking his orders from Israel.
- 49:08Well, he he's taking his orders from Israel.
- 49:11That's the real problem here.
- 49:11That's the real problem here.
- 49:14Uh, because how do you campaign as the peace candidate of wanting to stop endless wars, wanting to stop putting what he called stupid wars, which all of them are, and and then do a 180 once you get into office.
- 49:14Uh, because how do you campaign as the peace candidate of wanting to stop endless wars, wanting to stop putting what he calls stupid wars, which all of them are, and and then do a 180 once you get into office, uh, and a few months after he got into office.
- 49:27Uh and a few months after he got into office, uh, we bombed uh the United States bombed the uh Iran Iran facility.
- 49:34Uh and so God knows what Iran had had as in in the in reserves that could be unleashed against the bait U.S.
- 49:41bases in the middle.
- 49:42Look what they did to our allies.
- 49:44Look what they did to our allies, Murray.
- 49:46Those guys took serious hits in the Middle East, and they're giving billions to their the family, right?
- 49:51What I don't see on the news is any news of the damage to Israel.
- 49:55I mean, uh there's sort of a blackout of census.
- 49:58Oh, yeah, you go to jail if you talk about it.
- 50:00They say they're locking people up.
- 50:02Yeah, yeah.
- 50:03I mean, do you know where we can get some uh some uh uh basic news coming out of Israel of what the I'll find out if I get it, I'll send it to you.
- 50:13Murray, this is the worst covered uh media covered war that in my life I've experienced.
- 50:21We don't know how many Americans have been wounded or killed, how many ships and planes have been lost.
- 50:25We still don't know how many Americans have gotten killed in Ukraine.
- 50:29Yeah, and it's it's just ridiculous.
- 50:31But I just working on a little piece that I'm uh publish uh on what General Washington in the Farewell Address.
- 50:41And there's so much in it, you can't write the whole thing, but when he focuses on, and here's a country that's four years old or eight years old when he's when he gets out of the presidency.
- 50:53He focuses on the dangers of a of a of a uh raucous corrupt political system of parties seeking only power and money, yeah.
- 51:08Because it's one of the great avenues for letting letting foreign countries in to ultimately gain control of things in in uh of different aspects.
- 51:18But Washington was very focused on the idea that this kind of the kind of situation we're living through now was the key way to get a foreign country in into a position of controlling your foreign policy.
- 51:31Yep, yep, yeah.
- 51:32It's uh uh the lessons are all there, Murray.
- 51:36You know better than I.
- 51:37Well, yeah, I mean, you look at uh the the panorama of American history, and um Murray Rothbard wrote the only two were uh wars that were um justified was um was um the American revolution and uh the southern attempt to secede from the north.
- 51:57He said, and of course, Jeremy General Smedley Butler said uh the only thing we should fight for is our homeland and um and uh the bill of rights, everything else is a racket.
- 52:08Yeah, and that I think sums it up beautifully is that why are we why did so many young boys die in Korea, uh Vietnam, um uh the Gulf and uh and the ones that survived uh either came back uh maimed and uh destroyed for life uh with uh some of them had drug addiction problems, PTSD, and a whole slew of of problems and uh suicide we know uh from uh uh of veterans that is off the charts, much greater than the general population.
- 52:41So war has incredible consequences that the uh that the people in Washington don't care about.
- 52:49I mean I mean, for for the president to say that uh this is gonna be over soon.
- 52:55I I think he's just uh either delusional or he really believes it and he thinks something is going on that will end this thing.
- 53:03But I I really believe that if this thing drags on more, he he I think not only psychologically, but physically he could he could be in jeopardy because I don't think he's in the greatest health to begin with.
- 53:14Oh, no, for sure, for sure.
- 53:15Murray, do you remember there was a show Saturday Night Live and on the comedian on there?
- 53:21He played the liar, Johnny the Lyre or something.
- 53:23He was a great committee.
- 53:24Oh, is it's a great comedian.
- 53:26I'm gonna put a I'm gonna send it to both of you guys.
- 53:29Trump reminds me of this guy.
- 53:30He would come out and say, Yeah, I was that, yeah, I did that.
- 53:33You know, like it was just one of the funniest sketches.
- 53:36They took him down after a while because he got it really out of hand.
- 53:39But there's a there was a it was a skit many years ago.
- 53:42He would play the devil, he would play the the liar, he'd go into court.
- 53:46This reminds me of Trump now.
- 53:48He's just totally insane.
- 53:49Yeah, uh, remember he just made the world peace thing, right?
- 53:52The world peace agreement, whatever the cheer this group, the next day he goes to war.
- 53:57It's an oxygen.
- 53:59You you you cannot make this up.
- 54:00I I don't know if you remember I don't know if you remember a TV movie that um starred Glenn Ford.
- 54:08Uh it's called The Br Brotherhood of the Bell.
- 54:11And it's on YouTube.
- 54:13It's uh it's uh uh I I saw it when it was first on uh I think it was NBC uh in uh 1974, and it really is about skull, uh it's really uh a fictional version of Skull and Bones in Yale about who really controls America, but it's really about the political and financial elite of America.
- 54:30And uh Glenn Ford pay plays an economics professor who's married uh to a woman whose father is I think one of the uh uh uh puppeteers of American politics.
- 54:42Oh well, I'll gonna look it up.
- 54:44I'll look it up.
- 54:45Mike, you got that?
- 54:45Did you write it down?
- 54:46I wrote it down.
- 54:47I wrote a lot of things.
- 54:48I can't remember this guy's last name, but I'll send you one of the uh clips from YouTube.
- 54:53This is Trump.
- 54:54He I have the World Peace Council.
- 54:57Here's all my members, and tomorrow we'll bomb Iran.
- 55:00What do you mean?
- 55:02I and the thing is people are not questioning it.
- 55:06I mean, in my local paper, there is a lot of uh anti-Trump letters that that go in there, and they lay out the case as we've been laying out here about why his policies are bad.
- 55:18I'm not interested in his personality because it's neither here nor there.
- 55:22I mean, uh we uh we're not gonna go pick our curtains together, but the point is you you want to know what his policies are, what will be the impact of his economic policies, his foreign policies, and uh that's what's important to the American people, because right now gasoline has gone through the roof.
- 55:40Uh uh fertilizer.
- 55:41What are you down there?
- 55:42What are you down there?
- 55:43Premium, how much now, Murray?
- 55:45Last time uh I I drive very little now, so I fill up like once a month.
- 55:49And uh the last time I filled up, I think I paid four or seventy at Costco.
- 55:54But the nice thing about Costco is if you have uh Costco credit card, uh you get five percent back.
- 56:00So you save over 20 cents per gallon.
- 56:00So uh so you save over 20 cents per gallon.
- 56:03And since we're driving very little, I mean, if I do if I do, I don't know, 80 miles a week, it's all it's a lot.
- 56:03And since we're driving very little, I mean, if I do if I do, I don't know, 80 miles a week, it's all it's a lot.
- 56:10Oh, that's um 80 miles where we live.
- 56:10Oh, that's um 80 miles where we live.
- 56:12That's that's like, hey, where you go?
- 56:12That's that's like, hey, where you go?
- 56:14That's nothing.
- 56:14That's nothing.
- 56:14You gotta do 18,000 miles out here in the valley.
- 56:14You gotta do 18,000 miles out here in the valley.
- 56:17Hey guys, we're gonna wrap it up.
- 56:17Hey guys, we're gonna wrap it up.
- 56:18It's the last minute.
- 56:18It's the last minute.
- 56:19Murray, Murray, thank you for coming back on.
- 56:19Murray, Murray, thank you for coming back on.
- 56:21We want to thank you for joining us on the mission.
- 56:21We want to thank you for joining us on the mission.
- 56:23The national security hour is the tip of the spear in the epic battle to defend the United States of America.
- 56:23The National Security Hour is the tip of the spear in the epic battle to defend the United States of America.
- 56:30And this is non fit sickle fan.
- 56:32When we do a show on Monday night, the two mics on national security, we're not sycophant and we're not cultic.
- 56:38We call it like it is.

- 56:40Thank you for coming on.
- 56:41Thank you, guys.
