Speaker 3: General j B. McCuskey, how are you doing, my friend?
• 2:44
Speaker 5: Hey, Prayers for that kid? Was it Edgewood Elementary School?
• 2:49
  Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah.
• 2:50
Speaker 5: I get to walk my kids to school every morning,
• 2:52
Speaker 5: and parents just get off your phones and slow down.
• 2:55
Speaker 5: There isn't a week that goes by that somebody doesn't
• 2:57
Speaker 5: whiz past me going fifty miles an hour up Loud
• 2:59
Speaker 5: and I road, and you know there's kids going to school.
• 3:02
Speaker 4: Be careful. It's they're the most important thing we got. Yeah.
• 3:05
Speaker 3: I know, again, that story just broken within the last
• 3:08
Speaker 3: couple of hours, and Jeff's going to have more on
• 3:10
Speaker 3: it coming up a little bit later on in the tragedy.
• 3:13
Speaker 5: Yeah, but just prayers for that kid and their family
• 3:14
Speaker 5: and everybody at that school.
• 3:15
Speaker 3: That's indeed, you picked a good day to be here.
• 3:18
Speaker 3: Apparently it's some sort of a healthfare going on in
• 3:20
  Speaker 3: the building.
• 3:20
Speaker 4: Yeah. I think they're going to take my blood when
• 3:22
Speaker 4: I got out of it.
• 3:22
  Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean, I just saw these armies
• 3:24
Speaker 3: of bodies is coming into the building here. And you know,
• 3:27
Speaker 3: anytime that I see people entering a radio station with
• 3:32
  Speaker 3: giant boxes, I assume it's the fans, right, That's that's
• 3:35
  Speaker 3: what I'm assuming.
• 3:36
Speaker 4: I would have assumed you would have assumed they were donuts.
• 3:38
Speaker 3: No, No, I was assuming that we were getting.
• 3:41
Speaker 4: Rated for you've maybe been eating less donuts.
• 3:43
Speaker 3: I have been eating less donuts.
• 3:44
Speaker 5: You look like you've slimmed down a little bit. This
• 3:46
Speaker 5: is pay Dave a compliment day. Actually make fun of
• 3:49
Speaker 5: you when I'm in here. There's one, well, there's one.
• 3:51
  Speaker 5: I can't find another one.
• 3:52
  Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't.
• 3:53
Speaker 3: You don't have to do anything, al right. So you're
• 3:55
  Speaker 3: up in d C yesterday.
• 3:56
Speaker 5: Yeah, and just for a point of reference, that we
• 3:58
Speaker 5: did our Tony the Taylor promo. On the way up,
• 4:00
Speaker 5: I was wearing my Tony the Tailor blazer and slacks
• 4:03
Speaker 5: and I got an enormous amount of compliments on the tailoring.
• 4:06
Speaker 4: So there you go. Check Tony out on.
• 4:08
Speaker 3: All right, there you go, Tony, There you go, Tony.
• 4:10
Speaker 3: We'll be sending you a bill about that.
• 4:13
Speaker 5: But yeah, so we were in DC. Administrator Lee Zelden,
• 4:17
Speaker 5: the administrator of the EPA, announced their rules concerning the
• 4:22
Speaker 5: Waters of the United States rule and as everybody knows,
• 4:26
Speaker 5: the Attorney General's Office in West Virginia under Governor Morrissey
• 4:30
Speaker 5: led the Waters of the United States fight for five years.
• 4:33
Speaker 5: And what happened was just for for some medification, is
• 4:36
Speaker 5: that the term waters of the United States has been
• 4:39
Speaker 5: somewhat bastardized by sort of the climate left, and it
• 4:43
Speaker 5: was pushed to a place where you know it's raining
• 4:46
Speaker 5: outside right now, where the little tiny stream that forms
• 4:48
Speaker 5: when it rains going through your backyard, if you've got
• 4:50
Speaker 5: a hillside behind you, and everybody in West Virginia does,
• 4:53
Speaker 5: that would have been considered a water of the United.
• 4:55
Speaker 3: St And just for clarification, he's not being facetious about that,
• 4:58
Speaker 3: because this actually happened to a very are you a
• 5:00
Speaker 3: good friend of mine at a business person in Putnam
• 5:02
Speaker 3: County when they were battling over basically what was a
• 5:05
Speaker 3: puddle in their backyard.
• 5:06
Speaker 5: And it's happening to people in the Eastern Panhandle, and
• 5:08
Speaker 5: it's happening to people in Montana and Idaho and you
• 5:11
Speaker 5: name it. And the fines are up to thirty seven
• 5:14
Speaker 5: thousand dollars per day for violations under the waters the
• 5:17
Speaker 5: United States rules. So our office has been fighting that
• 5:20
Speaker 5: forever and now I'm the Attorney General and because of
• 5:23
Speaker 5: our leadership, the EPA looks to us in our office
• 5:25
Speaker 5: and particularly our solicitors space for commentary on these rules.
• 5:29
Speaker 5: So we were really proud to have been invited up
• 5:32
Speaker 5: to this big announcement with the Governor. Got to spend
• 5:34
Speaker 5: some good time with the Administrator and sort of talk
• 5:36
Speaker 5: about the things that are happened in West Virginia. But
• 5:38
Speaker 5: the long and the short of it is is he
• 5:40
Speaker 5: is a incredibly thoughtful and common sense person, the administrator is,
• 5:45
Speaker 5: and the rules that are coming out regarding waters the
• 5:47
Speaker 5: United States are finally returning what is an important environmental
• 5:52
Speaker 5: regulation into something that has common sense rules around it
• 5:56
Speaker 5: that people can understand and that average people aren't going
• 5:59
Speaker 5: to be prosecuted by the federal government for puddles in
• 6:03
Speaker 5: their backyard. And this is going to be huge for
• 6:05
Speaker 5: our mining industry. It's huge for our drilling industry, it's
• 6:08
Speaker 5: huge for our manufacturing industry, it's huge for all of
• 6:11
Speaker 5: our agricultural industry. Maybe the most are ranchers and farmers,
• 6:14
Speaker 5: and we have a lot more agriculture in West Virginia
• 6:17
Speaker 5: than people think. And you have our great Secretary Leonhard
• 6:20
Speaker 5: on the air all the time, and when you really
• 6:22
Speaker 5: look at it, the way our economy is, we have
• 6:24
Speaker 5: so much more agriculture here than people think. And these
• 6:27
Speaker 5: rules were making it impossible for American businesses to compete
• 6:31
Speaker 5: on the world stage. And finally we have an EPA
• 6:34
Speaker 5: with some common sense that's willing to allow not only
• 6:37
Speaker 5: states to regulate these things because I promise West Virginia
• 6:39
Speaker 5: cares about its air and water more than the people
• 6:42
Speaker 5: in Washington do, but also give some certainty to our
• 6:44
Speaker 5: businesses and families around what these rules really mean.
• 6:47
Speaker 3: So what would you say to those And I happen
• 6:49
Speaker 3: to go over to your social media page, social media
• 6:52
Speaker 3: page or the Attorney General not necessarily of you prepe see.
• 6:55
Speaker 4: A social media page. It's owned by the people of West.
• 6:58
Speaker 3: That's what I was going to say. But you know
• 7:01
Speaker 3: their comments on there as are frequently are said, well,
• 7:04
Speaker 3: you know you're rolling back. I mean, you and others
• 7:07
Speaker 3: want to roll back and turn back years of progress
• 7:10
Speaker 3: that we've had with the with ecology and the climate
• 7:12
Speaker 3: and things of that nature.
• 7:14
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean if you think rolling back regulations that
• 7:17
Speaker 5: completely stifle innovation, business growth, manufacturing growth, job growth, and
• 7:23
Speaker 5: unfairly punish families and small businesses is rolling back.
• 7:26
Speaker 4: While also the new rules.
• 7:29
Speaker 5: Continue to allow us to regulate what goes into our
• 7:31
Speaker 5: rivers and streams. But rolling something back indicates that there's
• 7:35
Speaker 5: a nefarious purpose. And that's something that the extreme climate
• 7:38
Speaker 5: left and people on the left do all the time,
• 7:41
Speaker 5: is they try to paint anyone who wants rational, regular
• 7:45
Speaker 5: environmental protections as some kind of a lunatic who wants
• 7:48
Speaker 5: to poison everybody, And that just couldn't be further from
• 7:51
Speaker 5: the truth. And so it's really important for people like
• 7:53
Speaker 5: me who believe in our mining and our drilling and
• 7:55
Speaker 5: our manufacturing industries to stand firm and say, look, this
• 7:58
Speaker 5: is not We cannot continue to let the left push
• 8:03
Speaker 5: the middle so far left that nobody can do anything.
• 8:05
Speaker 5: The middle is right where the middle is supposed to be,
• 8:07
Speaker 5: and that is we have to make more electricity, We
• 8:10
Speaker 5: have to grow our manufacturing sector. We have to protect
• 8:12
Speaker 5: our ranchers and farmers, and we have to ensure that
• 8:14
Speaker 5: America is able to do the things it needs to
• 8:16
Speaker 5: do to compete on the world stage. And with unreasonable,
• 8:19
Speaker 5: unfair regulations like the waters of the United States had become,
• 8:22
Speaker 5: we cannot. And places like Russia and China and developing
• 8:26
Speaker 5: nations have no environmental controls at all, and so it
• 8:29
Speaker 5: is actually irrational for us to push the energy production
• 8:32
Speaker 5: of the world onto places that truly don't care about
• 8:35
Speaker 5: the environment. Like I said before, Russia and China, we
• 8:37
Speaker 5: should be burning all the coal that we can find here,
• 8:40
Speaker 5: burning all the gas that we can find here, building
• 8:42
Speaker 5: all the manufacturing that we can here, because we are
• 8:45
Speaker 5: great stewards of the land. We are people who trust
• 8:48
Speaker 5: and value science and in the ways that we need
• 8:51
Speaker 5: to protect the communities. But America is a shining light
• 8:54
Speaker 5: in the world. It's a place where we promote societal value,
• 8:58
Speaker 5: where we promote human value. And when we do well,
• 9:01
Speaker 5: everyone else does well. And we do environmental protection better
• 9:04
Speaker 5: than anybody in the world. And we should be leading
• 9:06
Speaker 5: the world in all of the things I just talked about.

• 9:34
Speaker 4: Did you see that they canceled the Ford Lightning did.
• 9:38
Speaker 3: I did not know.
• 9:39
Speaker 5: So the electric Ford truck will not be made anymore. Yeah,
• 9:41
Speaker 5: it's the weirdest thing that didn't work. Yeah, yeah, you know,
• 9:44
Speaker 5: I've ever thought. I was having a conversation not long.
• 9:47
Speaker 5: It was a couple of years ago, and it was
• 9:49
Speaker 5: not what the folks of generations forward. Okay, I'll say
• 9:51
Speaker 5: it was another for another Ford. It was another Ford
• 9:53
Speaker 5: dealership and we were doing a little promotion there with them,
• 9:56
Speaker 5: and they were talking about the lightning and the guy
• 10:00
Speaker 5: with one of the sales managers was telling me that
• 10:01
Speaker 5: they had sold one and the guy decided, you know,
• 10:03
  Speaker 5: the customer decided.
• 10:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, after like a month or so, he didn't want it,
• 10:07
Speaker 3: so he brought it back, as sometimes people will do,
• 10:11
Speaker 3: and he was it found out that it depreciated, as
• 10:15
Speaker 3: a lot of some vehicles do, appreciated by about fifty
• 10:18
Speaker 3: percent the minute he drove it off a lot. Now
• 10:19
Speaker 3: I'm not blaming electric vehicles for that. I am just
• 10:22
Speaker 3: saying in that particular case, it was a forward lighting.
• 10:25
Speaker 5: And in my particular case, I have a diesel pickup
• 10:27
Speaker 5: and you know, rolling dinosaur bones, the depreciation is far less.
• 10:32
Speaker 5: People will buy a diesel truck long after they're.
• 10:34
Speaker 3: Mate, all right, I want to go back to something
• 10:36
Speaker 3: about the environment. I have said this before, and I
• 10:39
Speaker 3: come from a coal mining background. People know my family
• 10:42
Speaker 3: very invested in the coal industry. I have said before
• 10:47
Speaker 3: that coal miners are the ultimate environmentalists. And I had
• 10:52
Speaker 3: been on a lot of Reclaimed Mind properties, and I'll
• 10:55
Speaker 3: tell you just a quick quick story when I was
• 10:57
Speaker 3: when I was in state government, we had a group
• 10:59
Speaker 3: of students Harvard. They came down to southern West Virginia.
• 11:02
Speaker 3: We took them out on reclaim Mind property and we
• 11:04
Speaker 3: were walking around and we didn't tell them it was
• 11:07
Speaker 3: reclaim Mint property. We just said, isn't this beautiful? And
• 11:10
Speaker 3: they were deer and everything else. That you're standing on
• 11:12
Speaker 3: service mining, your former service mining. They couldn't believe it.
• 11:16
Speaker 3: I said, it's because you've only listened to one.
• 11:18
  Speaker 4: Source, that's right.
• 11:19
Speaker 3: So what this is coal miners are the ultimate and
• 11:21
  Speaker 3: environmental You.
• 11:21
Speaker 5: Will very infrequently find a group of people that enjoy
• 11:24
Speaker 5: the outdoors more than coal miners, right, And so when
• 11:28
Speaker 5: they're not at work, a large portion of them spend
• 11:30
Speaker 5: time fishing and hunting and hiking and spending time outside
• 11:33
  Speaker 5: with their kids.
• 11:33
Speaker 4: Because that's part of what West Virginia is.
• 11:36
Speaker 5: And I think it really is inappropriate and unfair for
• 11:39
Speaker 5: the left to label those who are trying to do
• 11:42
Speaker 5: these incredibly important jobs as you know, those who want
• 11:45
Speaker 5: to poison the environment, because it just isn't true. And
• 11:48
Speaker 5: you are so right. You can take a helicopter ride
• 11:51
Speaker 5: down over any part of the coal fields and the
• 11:54
Speaker 5: active mind sight. Sure they look like an active mind sight,
• 11:57
Speaker 5: but it's real hard to find the ones that used
• 11:59
  Speaker 5: to be mined.
• 12:00
Speaker 3: Li likened it to walking into an e r in
• 12:03
Speaker 3: the middle of an app and decked me, you know,
• 12:05
Speaker 3: or is any kind of surgical procedure. Oh yeah, it
• 12:06
Speaker 3: looks like it looks really really rough right now, But
• 12:08
Speaker 3: come back, you know, come back when it when, when
• 12:10
  Speaker 3: it's done.
• 12:11
Speaker 5: Speaking of coal mining, what an unbelievable tragedy over the
• 12:14
Speaker 5: weekend as well. Prayers for everybody in Nicholas County. And
• 12:17
Speaker 5: what a hero, uh, what a hero he was. I mean,
• 12:21
Speaker 5: it's hard to imagine being the kind of guy who
• 12:25
Speaker 5: gets every single one of your guys out of a
• 12:26
Speaker 5: really dangerous situation, to your own peril and to his family.
• 12:30
Speaker 5: I just prayers for everybody involved. But the story of
• 12:35
Speaker 5: his heroism will live on for it.
• 12:36
Speaker 3: I knew, and I didn't say this on the air,
• 12:38
Speaker 3: but I knew. When I found out and it started
• 12:41
Speaker 3: get information started getting out of JB that he was
• 12:43
Speaker 3: a foreman. I told a couple of people off the air,
• 12:46
Speaker 3: let me tell you what happened. And I was one
• 12:48
Speaker 3: of the thoughts. I was one hundred percent right. It's
• 12:50
Speaker 3: just like a you know, it's just like a high
• 12:51
Speaker 3: ranking military official, you know, lieutenant the arm It's that
• 12:56
Speaker 3: same it's that same mindset you guys go out first.
• 12:58
Speaker 3: I knew immediately what happen up in your You're absolute
• 13:01
Speaker 3: right about the what else on your radar?
• 13:02
Speaker 5: These days, Purdue filed for bankruptcy again, Purdue Pharma, as
• 13:06
Speaker 5: they continue to try to skirt their obligations in the
• 13:08
Speaker 5: opioid world. This this current bankruptcy will not affect West
• 13:12
Speaker 5: Virginia settlement, but it is just frustrating to watch these
• 13:15
Speaker 5: these these folks do everything in their power to try
• 13:18
Speaker 5: to avoid paying for the damages that they cause. You know,
• 13:22
Speaker 5: we're working on a couple of new opioid cases with
• 13:25
Speaker 5: what are called pharmacy benefit managers who were sort of
• 13:28
Speaker 5: the the gray, the gray mattered middlemen who were right
• 13:33
Speaker 5: in the middle of the opioid crisis, and we're making
• 13:35
Speaker 5: some good progress on those cases. We've just are Our
• 13:39
Speaker 5: office is crazy busy getting ready for January. We've got

Speaker 5: an argument in front of the United States Supreme Court
• 13:44
Speaker 5: on the BPG case, where we're going to defend West
• 13:47
Speaker 5: Virginia's common sense law that make sure that children play
• 13:50
Speaker 5: sports against kids who have the same biological sex that
• 13:53
Speaker 5: they have. We know it's unfair for for boys to
• 13:58
Speaker 5: be playing against girls in sports. And I don't know
• 13:59
Speaker 5: if you saw this, but the International Olympic Committee just
• 14:02
Speaker 5: last week banned biological males from playing in female sports
• 14:06
Speaker 5: in the Olympics. And what we're seeing is the world
• 14:09
Speaker 5: is starting to understand the insanity that was this sort
• 14:13
Speaker 5: of free for all where women's sports was being overrun
• 14:17
Speaker 5: by folks who had a different biological sex than the
• 14:22
Speaker 5: girls who were playing. And so we're really really excited
• 14:24
Speaker 5: about that case. We're really buckling down and for the
• 14:27
Speaker 5: next six weeks or so, our office will be very
• 14:29
Speaker 5: laser focused on making sure we get that case right
• 14:32
Speaker 5: in the most important court in the land.
• 14:35
Speaker 3: Any big Thanksgiving plans, Well, we own a store.
• 14:38
Speaker 5: So Thanksgiving is generally me watching my wife stress out
• 14:42
Speaker 5: about Black Friday cooking dinner all day.
• 14:45
Speaker 4: So I always do dinner, but we usually keep it
• 14:47
  Speaker 4: pretty small.
• 14:48
Speaker 3: You do the cooking.
• 14:48
Speaker 4: I do the cooking every night.
• 14:49
Speaker 3: All right, what's on the menu? I mean, So I have.
• 14:52
Speaker 4: A tradition of Thanksgiving tradition.
• 14:54
Speaker 5: My mom died about eleven years ago, and she used
• 14:56
Speaker 5: to make this sausage stuffing that I just absolutely loved.
• 14:59
Speaker 3: And she said, I just gained all my weight back
• 15:01
Speaker 3: by that's just the best.
• 15:02
Speaker 5: And she sent me the recipe on an email about
• 15:06
Speaker 5: I don't know, maybe a year before she died, so
• 15:09
Speaker 5: that I could fix it. And every single Thanksgiving, I
• 15:11
Speaker 5: opened one of the last emails I got from him
• 15:13
Speaker 5: mom and just read it in her voice to myself
• 15:15
Speaker 5: and fix the stuffing. Everything else is pretty pretty typical.
• 15:18
Speaker 5: But we do, you know, massed potatoes, green beans, always turkey.
• 15:23
Speaker 5: Sometimes we throw in some steaks if I have time.
• 15:27
Speaker 5: Sausage stuffing, and then my wife loves a sort of
• 15:31
Speaker 5: gross green bean cast rule.
• 15:32
Speaker 3: I bean cast rule.
• 15:33
  Speaker 5: I can't stand it. I hate mushroom suit, but I
• 15:36
Speaker 5: always make it for and she loves it.
• 15:37

• 19:21
Speaker 3: we're a couple of days away from Turkey drop here
• 19:23
Speaker 3: and it is health day out here. Have you seen
• 19:25
Speaker 3: all these folks in white anytime in a radio sea?
• 19:28
Speaker 3: As I said, I see people with bringing in file
• 19:30
Speaker 3: boxes of files, I think, well, that's it, we're getting
• 19:33
Speaker 3: shut down. But then when I see white coats, I think,
• 19:36
Speaker 3: oh yeah, we've finally gone too far. They're locking us up.
• 19:38
Speaker 10: Yeah, they're bringing us jackets where the nice, warm, comfy
• 19:40
Speaker 10: give you the hug sleeves crossing the front self hugging jackets. Yeah,
• 19:44
  Speaker 10: so uh yeah, I think they're gonna I think they're
• 19:46
Speaker 10: gonna try to take my blood later.
• 19:48
Speaker 8: But you know my blood type is gravy. Yeah, so yeah,
• 19:51
Speaker 8: we'll see how that goes.
• 19:52
Speaker 3: Speaking of gravy, to keep that up for you, A
• 19:54
Speaker 3: couple of days away here from our Turkey drive.
• 19:57
Speaker 10: We are Thursday here at our parking lot at our
• 20:00

• 20:04
Speaker 10: it's eleven eleven Virginia Street East. Our third annual drive
• 20:08
  Speaker 10: through Turkey Drop.
• 20:09
Speaker 8: We have teamed up with.
• 20:10
Speaker 10: Union Mission collecting frozen turkeys and cash and monetary donations.
• 20:16
Speaker 10: I'll say it that way, because not only can we
• 20:17
Speaker 10: do cash and check, but I just got word that
• 20:20
Speaker 10: we will have a QR code set up that you'll
• 20:22
Speaker 10: be able to scan and you can safely securely make
• 20:25
Speaker 10: a credit card donation or debit card if that's the
• 20:27
Speaker 10: way you like to roll financially. But we would love
• 20:30
Speaker 10: for you to roll through our parking lot and hand
• 20:32
Speaker 10: us a frozen turkey or a monetary donation so that
• 20:35
Speaker 10: every family can have a happy holiday meal.
• 20:39
Speaker 3: Indeed, I got to get me one of them QR codes. Sometimes,
• 20:41
Speaker 3: I'm going to give me a QR code and a
• 20:43
Speaker 3: TikTok at one of these points.
• 20:44
Speaker 8: Yeah, I think you would be huge on TikTok.
• 20:48
Speaker 3: They get me huge anyway.
• 20:50
Speaker 10: But no, you were talking with the AG about having
• 20:52
Speaker 10: lost some weights, So there you go.
• 20:54
Speaker 8: I would like to try that sausage stuffing. Although I
• 20:56
  Speaker 8: think I have.
• 20:57
Speaker 10: I think I've probably ruled out any favorable treatment from
• 21:00
Speaker 10: the AG's office at this point.
• 21:02
Speaker 3: I think that anything that happened in your in your
• 21:05
Speaker 3: life probably would have ruled out anyway from hanging out
• 21:07
Speaker 3: with the attorneyship. Probably, I'm yeah, I'm not really allowed
• 21:11
Speaker 3: to be that close to a lawyer who's not mine,
• 21:13
Speaker 3: I don't think. But in all seriousness, I appreciate his
• 21:17
Speaker 3: recognition of Marine Steve Lipscomb. Knowing that he put others
• 21:25
Speaker 3: ahead of himself is While it is wonderfully admirable, it
• 21:31
Speaker 3: is not the least bit surprising.
• 21:32
Speaker 8: Knowing that a marine would.
• 21:33
Speaker 10: Do that, Knowing that a West Virginia, I was going
• 21:36
Speaker 10: to say, would do that. It's a wonderful intersection of
• 21:40
Speaker 10: West Virginians and Marines that we go literally the extra
• 21:43
Speaker 10: mile for our friends and neighbors. And it's been a
• 21:47
Speaker 10: particularly tough year for folks in need. I talk about
• 21:51
Speaker 10: the stats a lot that one in six folks are
• 21:54
Speaker 10: food insecure, one in four children. Those numbers are actually
• 21:58
Speaker 10: worse in West Virginia, and you pile the government shut
• 22:02
Speaker 10: down on top of that, and it's just it's been
• 22:05
Speaker 10: really hard starting this fourth quarter of the year, going
• 22:08
Speaker 10: into the holidays, and so if we can make it
• 22:10
Speaker 10: just a little bit better with Union Mission, that's our
• 22:13
  Speaker 10: goal on Thursday.
• 22:14
Speaker 3: And I think sometimes again we're talking Robberyo from ninety
• 22:18
Speaker 3: six to one KWS. I think sometimes people get a
• 22:21
Speaker 3: little caught up in the words when they use terms
• 22:25
Speaker 3: like food insecure or maybe even a homeless, because I mean,
• 22:29
Speaker 3: the definition of homeless doesn't always necessarily mean you don't
• 22:33
Speaker 3: have a home or a place to stay. What it
• 22:36
Speaker 3: can mean in many cases, and we talk to the
• 22:38
Speaker 3: folks at the United Way and Union Mission all these
• 22:42
Speaker 3: places about this. It sometimes means that when you wake
• 22:45
Speaker 3: up in the morning on one couch, you may not
• 22:49
Speaker 3: return to that couch tonight. You're looking for a place
• 22:51
Speaker 3: to crash. Under the definition that's technically homeless.
• 22:54
Speaker 10: Yeah, and I don't like to nitpick too much on terminology.
• 22:59
Speaker 10: The the preferred these days is displaced persons for that reason,
• 23:04
Speaker 10: because somebody may be CouchSurfing, somebody may be living in
• 23:07
Speaker 10: a vehicle. Somebody may be doing two weeks at the
• 23:12
Speaker 10: sister's house and then they go to the cousin's house
• 23:14
Speaker 10: for three weeks. You know, moms with kids. It's not
• 23:19
Speaker 10: just the folks you see on the street and under
• 23:22
Speaker 10: overpasses and those sorts of things. And they're a great
• 23:26
Speaker 10: number of those people who are working, who are working
• 23:29
Speaker 10: full time and can't seem to get enough momentum going
• 23:35
Speaker 10: to get everything they need for themselves and their families.
• 23:38
Speaker 10: And so to be part of helping those folks along,
• 23:44
Speaker 10: we could be a great blessing to those folks. And again,
• 23:47
Speaker 10: we're going to start things Thursday at seven in the morning,
• 23:50
Speaker 10: go to about six o'clock at night.
• 23:52
Speaker 3: We'll all be out there at one point. You'll be
• 23:53
Speaker 3: out there for the most part, probably, but you know,
• 23:56
Speaker 3: for V. One hundred to beat the Mountain, we're August hs.
• 24:00
Speaker 3: We're all going to be floating in and out of there.
• 24:02
Speaker 3: So it's opportunity to kind of come hang out with
• 24:03
Speaker 3: us a little bit. And we you know, from time
• 24:06
Speaker 3: to time may have a random prize that we throw in.
• 24:08
Speaker 10: Yeah we uh, this is this is empty the prize
• 24:11
Speaker 10: closet time of year. So there, you know, the Warren
• 24:15
Speaker 10: Zeiders is coming in concert on Thursday night.
• 24:17
Speaker 8: I'm not exactly promising tickets, but there might be some
• 24:20
Speaker 8: left over. We might have some.
• 24:22
Speaker 10: Hey, I can't go to the show, get my tickets away,
• 24:23
Speaker 10: right or you know, the t shirts and koozies and
• 24:26
Speaker 10: those sorts of things. And you know, I can't even
• 24:28
Speaker 10: speak for the other stations in the building, but they're
• 24:30
Speaker 10: probably in a similar situation that you know what, we
• 24:33
Speaker 10: we got stuff we need to let go. So a
• 24:35
Speaker 10: little extra something something for you for stopping by and
• 24:37
Speaker 10: helping our friends and neighbors.
• 24:38
Speaker 3: Seven am til six pm and again our parking lot
• 24:41
Speaker 3: here and get me, it's not a circle, as you
• 24:44
Speaker 3: correct me every time.
• 24:45
Speaker 8: I was married to a math teacher for fifteen years.
• 24:47
  Speaker 8: It's an ellipse. It's not a circle. It's an ellipse.
• 24:50
Speaker 3: Okay, So so basically it's a circle.
• 24:53
Speaker 10: So not for nothing, it is it is married to
• 24:57
Speaker 10: a scorpio support day.
• 24:59
Speaker 3: So there there are.
• 25:00
Speaker 10: Two women in this world to whom I owe a
• 25:01
  Speaker 10: great apology.
• 25:04
Speaker 3: Sorry, So you pulled in our parking lot here eleven
• 25:07
Speaker 3: eleven Virginia Street, East, charlest Again. We're just up the
• 25:09
Speaker 3: street from the Presbyterie Church, Charleston Catholic High School. Yep,
• 25:12
Speaker 3: and you pull in and you don't even have to
• 25:14
Speaker 3: get out of your car. It's not gonna be there's
• 25:17
Speaker 3: a chance of rain on Thursday, but it's not gonna
• 25:18
Speaker 3: be like it is today where it's like, it's not
• 25:21
Speaker 3: gonna be. It's gonna be a little bit warmer too. Yeah,
• 25:22
Speaker 3: that's the thing. So you just pull right up and
• 25:25
Speaker 3: our our staff will be out there. We'll have the
• 25:27
Speaker 3: folks adjacent and the folks from Union Mission. We'll have
• 25:30
Speaker 3: a staff out there as well. We'll be taking those
• 25:32
Speaker 3: turkeys or as you said, monetary donations throne. And a
• 25:34
Speaker 3: pro tip if you are coming in from uh not down,
• 25:38
Speaker 3: if you're not a downtown Charleston person, maybe you're coming
• 25:40
Speaker 3: in from the dunbar, don't take the Virginia Street exit
• 25:44
Speaker 3: to get to us. Go ahead and swing all the
• 25:46
Speaker 3: way around to Leon Sullivan there's a lot of work
• 25:48
Speaker 3: on Virginia Street right now, and it's kind of confusing
• 25:50
Speaker 3: with the one lane here.
• 25:51
Speaker 8: In the one lane there.
• 25:52
Speaker 10: Leon Sullivan is the cross street, and when you take
• 25:55
Speaker 10: it to Virginia, you take a left because that's the
• 25:57
Speaker 10: only way you can go one way streets.
• 25:59
Speaker 8: And just in theory, in theory.
• 26:02
Speaker 3: I mean, how many times a week do we see
• 26:04
Speaker 3: somebody going the wrong way? It's at least twice a week.
• 26:07
  Speaker 3: I see wrong way on a I walk a lot
• 26:08
Speaker 3: in downtown Charleston. At least twice a week. I see
• 26:11
Speaker 3: wrong way on a one way daily. I see people
• 26:13
Speaker 3: run red lights or the no turn on red signs.
• 26:16
Speaker 3: So and yet West Virginia.
• 26:20
Speaker 10: Drivers are some of the best I've encountered over my
• 26:22
  Speaker 10: many travels.
• 26:24
Speaker 8: So it's bad everywhere I worked.
• 26:26
Speaker 3: I worked in Ohio. I'm fully aware.
• 26:28
Speaker 10: Oh so now do they do They still make you
• 26:30
Speaker 10: stop and disengage your turn signals when you cross the border,
• 26:34
Speaker 10: when you cross the Silver Memorial Bridge.
• 26:35
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good to know.
• 26:36
Speaker 8: They still try not to go that way.
• 26:39
Speaker 3: But so people can drop off cash, we'll have the
• 26:42
Speaker 3: QR code that they can scan. Yes, but Turkey's way
• 26:45
Speaker 3: to go and we talked about it yesterday. There are
• 26:48
Speaker 3: several places as we get closer to Thanksgiving, you know
• 26:51
Speaker 3: this will be when we do this will be a
• 26:52
Speaker 3: week from Thanksgiving Day, people are starting to mark the
• 26:54
Speaker 3: turkeys down. And we've had people that have this is
• 26:57
Speaker 3: what I love about these things. Rob when we've done
• 26:59
Speaker 3: this or done the other promotions that we do, want
• 27:01
Speaker 3: people that will come in and give us five dollars
• 27:04
Speaker 3: and just say here, I wanted I heard you guys
• 27:06
  Speaker 3: on a radio.
• 27:08
Speaker 8: Uh, this is all I could give.
• 27:09
  Speaker 11: Yeah.
• 27:10
  Speaker 3: Wonderful, wonderful.
• 27:12
Speaker 10: At least at least once every time that we do this,
• 27:15
Speaker 10: we get somebody who was like, I just got I
• 27:18
Speaker 10: got in the car, I was going to make a
• 27:19
Speaker 10: coffee run. I was going to go to you know,
• 27:20
Speaker 10: I was going to go to fancy pants coffee and
• 27:22
Speaker 10: I heard you guys on the radio, and I was
• 27:24
Speaker 10: going to spend this five bucks on that.
• 27:26
Speaker 8: I'd rather spend it on this.
• 27:27
Speaker 10: Yeah, West Virginians caring for West Virginians.
• 27:30
Speaker 3: And then we've had people that have come in with
• 27:33
Speaker 3: a truck or something with the boxes of turkeys that
• 27:35
Speaker 3: have said, well, I went out to you know, X
• 27:37
Speaker 3: store and I just went ahead and picked up ten.
• 27:39
  Speaker 3: Here you go.
• 27:40
Speaker 10: I somebody last year rolls up in an suv. Yeah,
• 27:44
Speaker 10: I got a couple in the back for you. Let
• 27:45
Speaker 10: me pop the hatch and the thing swings open. And
• 27:48
Speaker 10: I'm not exaggerating twenty.
• 27:50
Speaker 3: Five okay, because there was somebody that did that from
• 27:55
Speaker 3: Clay County. I remember, Yeah, just selling it like I
• 27:57
Speaker 3: got a couple of turkeys and there's two days back there.
• 28:01
  Speaker 12: Yea.
• 28:02
Speaker 10: So even just the humble understatement of West Virginians as
• 28:05
Speaker 10: we help one another is impressive.
• 28:07
Speaker 3: And I will I will mention that Jason Quintreil is
• 28:10
Speaker 3: actually going to be on the show tomorrow because he's
• 28:13
Speaker 3: gonna be talking about the drumstick Dash, which is going
• 28:15
Speaker 3: to be happening with Tom. Men turn into folks at
• 28:17
Speaker 3: Chick fil A. But we'll drag you in here for
• 28:19
  Speaker 3: that probably.
• 28:19
Speaker 10: And I gotta I gotta give a little love to
• 28:21
Speaker 10: Tom and Chick fil A mccorkorl Avenue. They're going to
• 28:23
Speaker 10: feed our people tomorrow so that I don't even have
• 28:28
Speaker 10: to go anywhere to get some lunch. They're taking care
• 28:30
Speaker 10: of our folks. Chick fil A always does a great
• 28:32
Speaker 10: job with helping out with these drop events that we.
• 28:35
Speaker 3: Do and Tom and the crew frequently. I'm not again,
• 28:38
Speaker 3: I'm not going to promise anything like you said with
• 28:40
Speaker 3: the Warren Zyder tickets, But in the past we've had
• 28:42
Speaker 3: a couple of coupons here and there. We just kind
• 28:44
Speaker 3: of choose random people and say, here, go get you
• 28:46
  Speaker 3: a biscuit.
• 28:47
Speaker 10: He always seems to have a pocket full of those.
• 28:49
Speaker 10: Oh yeah, not a pocket full of biscuits.
• 28:51
Speaker 3: By the way, which was a bass player for say
• 28:54
Speaker 3: which was the name of one of my bands.
• 28:55
Speaker 10: It was the bass player for Pocket Full of Biscuits.
• 28:57
Speaker 10: But we opened for Natasha Bettingfield. You know what, if
• 29:00
Speaker 10: you know, you know.
• 29:01
Speaker 3: You know what would be really cool because I know
• 29:04
Speaker 3: you're probably gonna be at the Warren Zeider's concert. Maybe
• 29:07
Speaker 3: maybe we'll see, We'll see how much gas I have
• 29:09
Speaker 3: in the town after being out eleven hours in a
• 29:11
Speaker 3: Turkey Say cool, as if we could try to get
• 29:13
Speaker 3: Warren Zeyders to stop by.
• 29:14
Speaker 8: Here, I mean from your lips to his managements.
• 29:18
Speaker 3: People ears all right, So I mean I'm just throwing
• 29:20
Speaker 3: it out there, if we could, how cool would that
• 29:22
Speaker 3: be if we got Warren Zyders, who one of the
• 29:24
Speaker 3: top up and coming young country superstars out there. If
• 29:27
Speaker 3: we had him stop by the turkey drop, we call.
• 29:30
Speaker 8: Him one of the young guns.
• 29:31
  Speaker 10: I mean, I don't know when they're rolling into town.
• 29:33
Speaker 10: I don't know at whom to holler. Okay, we might
• 29:35
Speaker 10: be able to figure that out between now and.
• 29:38
Speaker 3: You know, I'm sure he would love to meet Rob Reel.
• 29:40
Speaker 10: Yes, champing at the bit for because he'll probably come
• 29:43
Speaker 10: in and say, were you the idiot that walked to Morgantown.
• 29:46
Speaker 10: I'm just gonna get that put on my business. Guess yes,
• 29:48
Speaker 10: I'm the idiot that way.
• 29:49
Speaker 8: I'm the hooligan who walked to Morgantown.

• 30:39
Speaker 3: dishes or anything like that. We're I mean, we're not
• 30:42
Speaker 3: going to turn anything down. Let's I want to bring
• 30:44
Speaker 3: a box of stuffing, but we're really trying to focus
• 30:46
Speaker 3: on the turkeys or the cash. But if you if
• 30:48
Speaker 3: that's what you show up with, we'll shake it.
• 30:49

• 30:54
Speaker 10: my bosses once told me, So we try to give
• 30:57
Speaker 10: you one thing on which to focus, and the biggest
• 30:59
Speaker 10: need is the frozen turkey. It's the hardest to get
• 31:02
Speaker 10: because you know, we take up space, and it's perishable,
• 31:05
Speaker 10: and it is the most expensive piece of the meal.
• 31:09
Speaker 8: So that one thing to.
• 31:10
Speaker 10: Focus on is it's easiest for folks to remember you've
• 31:14
Speaker 10: got a lot going on. I've got a texture, so

Speaker 3: local Save a Lot out there to do a food drive.
• 35:26
Speaker 3: It's actually going to be going on throughout the week,
• 35:28
Speaker 3: and so we're going to talk to Marsha kavallic about
• 35:30
Speaker 3: that's coming up. Also, there is a contentious situation in
• 35:36
Speaker 3: my native land in Logan County where there's a possible
• 35:40
Speaker 3: closing of an elementary school down there. And we told
• 35:44
Speaker 3: you that story in the past, and you know, this
• 35:46
Speaker 3: is nothing new when we talk about closing schools, and
• 35:48
Speaker 3: this was not necessarily a population issue down there at
• 35:52
Speaker 3: the situation had to do with some structural damage to
• 35:56
Speaker 3: the school and so and the kids now are going
• 35:59
Speaker 3: to have to travel pretty long way to go to school.
• 36:03
Speaker 3: They have a meeting schedule for this evening. Will of
• 36:04
Speaker 3: course be monitoring that. We'll get into that on the show,
• 36:06
Speaker 3: and of course Open Line West Virginia Metro News Midday
• 36:09
Speaker 3: with thirteen News and Tonight Live anchor Mander Baron Amy
• 36:11
Speaker 3: coming up in noon today, powered by its Ling Old Law.
• 36:14
Speaker 3: Jeff Jenkins joins us now from the newsroom Jeff, Good morning,
• 36:17
Speaker 3: and welcome to the show.
• 36:19
Speaker 8: Hey, good morning, how you doing doing fine?
• 36:21
Speaker 3: Health fair day around here. Everybody's just running.
• 36:23
Speaker 16: Around our annual flu shot white coat side.
• 36:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, all that. So we've got a serious news
• 36:30
Speaker 3: story you want to hit on this morning, Go ahead. Yeah.
• 36:32
Speaker 16: So there was, you know, during drop off today at
• 36:35
Speaker 16: Edgewood Elementary School in the Edroid neighborhood of Charleston, there
• 36:40
Speaker 16: was a young personal child that was struck by vehicle.
• 36:45
Speaker 16: We'll be getting more information, i'm sure from city police,
• 36:47
Speaker 16: but the initial reports is that the student, the child
• 36:55
Speaker 16: suffered a head injury there. So, just like it aw schools,
• 36:59
  Speaker 16: there's a lot of traffic. You know, there's there's crossing
• 37:03
Speaker 16: guards who do a great job, but you know, there's
• 37:06
Speaker 16: a lot of back and forth there. So we don't
• 37:07
Speaker 16: know all the circumstances of that, but we we do
• 37:10
Speaker 16: know that that happened this morning right in front of
• 37:12
Speaker 16: the school here in Charleston. The other thing we're working
• 37:16
Speaker 16: on is some pretty positive economic news that came from Toyota.
• 37:22
Speaker 16: Toyota has announced today a major expansion of its plants
• 37:28
Speaker 16: in the US, including the Toyota plant in Buffalo. They're
• 37:36
Speaker 16: going to add eighty jobs there and the production of
• 37:39
Speaker 16: this particular expansion is going to be finished by twenty
• 37:43
Speaker 16: twenty seven. But they say it's it's it's because there
• 37:47
Speaker 16: are additional there's additional consumers want hybrid vehicles, you know,
• 37:55
Speaker 16: and so you know that's what's happening there because they
• 37:58
Speaker 16: make transactionals there. They make the transmissions, you know, the
• 38:03
Speaker 16: things for the for the rear of the transmission or
• 38:07
Speaker 16: so they're going to invest more than four hundred million dollars.
• 38:11
Speaker 16: So more than half or nearly half of the overall
• 38:14
Speaker 16: investment that Toyota is going to make nine hundred and
• 38:16
Speaker 16: twelve million dollars is going to be at the Buffalo plant,
• 38:21
Speaker 16: and I think it's about four hundred and twenty three
• 38:23
Speaker 16: million dollars at the Buffalo plant. So you're talking a
• 38:25
Speaker 16: large expansion, eighty jobs, and of course all the automation
• 38:29
Speaker 16: that goes with that. So that's positive news. They released
• 38:33
Speaker 16: that information yesterday to the medium, and we held it
• 38:35
Speaker 16: until they were ready to They had it embargoed at
• 38:38
Speaker 16: toil eight o'clock this morning. But they have other plants Kentucky.
• 38:41
Speaker 16: I think Georgetown is Mississippi, Tennessee. But again the Buffalo
• 38:47
Speaker 16: plants getting the largest investment on that. And we'll hear
• 38:50
Speaker 16: more about that coming up with the Western Toyo West
• 38:51
Speaker 16: Virginia president is going to be on talk line, right. Yeah,
• 38:54
Speaker 16: so that's positive news. It's eighty good jobs.
• 38:57
Speaker 3: Yeah. And I'll say this about Toyota is somebody who
• 39:01
Speaker 3: you know has I've lived in Putnam County now for
• 39:03
Speaker 3: the last eleven years. You couldn't ask for a better
• 39:05
Speaker 3: community partner. I mean, anything that's going on in Putnam
• 39:10
Speaker 3: County really in this part of the state, Toyota's got
• 39:12
Speaker 3: their name on, you know. And I don't mean it
• 39:14
Speaker 3: for advertising purposes. I mean they're just saying, you know,
• 39:17
Speaker 3: whether it's in the schools or so on and so forth,
• 39:19
Speaker 3: they're just stuff. They're very good community partners and have
• 39:22
Speaker 3: been ever since they opened.
• 39:23
Speaker 16: And Carol Miller, the congress woman, made a note in
• 39:26
Speaker 16: her statement today reacting to this that you know, and
• 39:30
Speaker 16: we did this story a few weeks ago, I probably
• 39:33
Speaker 16: a couple of months ago. Now that they're building their
• 39:35
Speaker 16: own childcare center there. You know, they're building a thing
• 39:39
Speaker 16: for their workers. You know that there'll be a full
• 39:41
Speaker 16: childcare center on the campus in Buffalo and you know,
• 39:46
Speaker 16: to try to meet the needs of the workers. And
• 39:48
Speaker 16: of course new Core is doing that too. There'll be
• 39:49
Speaker 16: a full childcare center at the new Course site not
• 39:52
Speaker 16: far from there in Mason County where their new plan
• 39:55
Speaker 16: is going up. So yeah, that's good news anytime Toyotry
• 39:57
Speaker 16: adds and we've cut a lot of I tell you what,
• 40:00
Speaker 16: there have been more stories about Toyota adding jobs than
• 40:05
Speaker 16: there ever been about them cutting jobs.
• 40:07
  Speaker 8: There.
• 40:07
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 40:08
  Speaker 13: Uh.
• 40:08
Speaker 16: The one time that they struggled is when everyone else struggling,
• 40:11
Speaker 16: and that was doing COVID. But they they did just
• 40:13
Speaker 16: about everything they could do, you know, to keep everybody
• 40:16
Speaker 16: on and keep everybody working, and they came up with
• 40:18
Speaker 16: they came up with some pretty creative ways to be
• 40:19
Speaker 16: able to do that, and they were able to so
• 40:22
Speaker 16: all right, they have it all right.
• 40:24
Speaker 3: Well again, And if you if you've attempted to access
• 40:27
Speaker 3: certain websites today and even some social media sites, there
• 40:30
Speaker 3: is a like a nationwide there is outage uh and
• 40:34
Speaker 3: it's affecting I know, metronews dot com uh and UH
• 40:37
Speaker 3: and it's also affecting Twitter and UH and and some
• 40:40
Speaker 3: other sites as well. And oddly enough, as a friend
• 40:42
Speaker 3: of mine pointed out. The site that you can use
• 40:45
Speaker 3: to track these is also down. You can't think of
• 40:49
Speaker 3: what it's called right now, but I'm sure Ryan knows
• 40:52
Speaker 3: the cloud series or cloud service. Yea, the cloud service,
• 40:55

Speaker 3: posted it on one of the social media sites that works,

Speaker 3: and that's Facebook. That's down detector is down. And we

• 46:26
Speaker 3: show that everyone's talking about. I'm calling bull on that
• 46:29
Speaker 3: the internet is talking about Donald Trump and his relations
• 46:32
Speaker 3: with Bubba Who is Bubba?
• 46:34
  Speaker 2: Is it?
• 46:34
Speaker 3: Bill Clinton is jiling Maxwell's horse. Internet is talking about it, Dave,
• 46:38
Speaker 3: So you're going to talk about it on the show.
• 46:40
  Speaker 4: Right.
• 46:40
Speaker 3: That's about close that I'm going to get right there
• 46:43
Speaker 3: because it's a family show. And I joked last week
• 46:46
Speaker 3: about the FCC being out with the government shutdown. Well
• 46:50
Speaker 3: they got catch it up to do, so they're listening
• 46:51
Speaker 3: to the show again. Texa's highest rates of colon cancer
• 46:55
Speaker 3: among young people ever. But yes, let's remove regulations and
• 46:58
Speaker 3: rely on the honesty, moral and ethics of corporations. JB
• 47:02
Speaker 3: is helping to poison the future of America. I had
• 47:08
Speaker 3: Danny Jones on the show yesterday, and his book is out,
• 47:12
Speaker 3: and he was on the show yesterday talking about it.
• 47:14
Speaker 3: I started reading it last night and I got to
• 47:17
Speaker 3: say a little plug for Danny's book here. It's pretty good.
• 47:20
Speaker 3: I'm up to the Mike rourkeiars now. I had to
• 47:24
Speaker 3: put it down though, because I had an appointment to
• 47:26
Speaker 3: watch the Cowboys be Down the Raiders last night. So
• 47:29
Speaker 3: I would urge you to get yourself a copy. They're
• 47:32
Speaker 3: available at Taylor Books.
• 47:33
  Speaker 11: Now.
• 47:33
Speaker 3: Danny's going to be doing a book signing down there
• 47:35
Speaker 3: Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. It is a good book,
• 47:38
Speaker 3: so definitely go get it. Uh Texas, Dave, this major
• 47:45
Speaker 3: internet outage smells of a cyber attack. Hopefully it's assumed
• 47:50
Speaker 3: to be to ruled out. Meantime, my VHS copy of
• 47:53
Speaker 3: the movie Red Dawn still rewinds perfectly, said the texture. Indeed,
• 47:59
Speaker 3: I am sure it it does. Tex says Jamie McCuskey
• 48:04
Speaker 3: has helped so much propaganda, but I don't think he
• 48:06
Speaker 3: knows where he begins and it ends.
• 48:09
  Speaker 4: That's a text.
• 48:14
Speaker 3: Text, says Dave. I will not let the Republicans forget.
• 48:16
Speaker 3: When Rockefeller opened a West Virginia office in Japan and
• 48:19
Speaker 3: brought Toyota to our state, Republicans criticized him and said
• 48:22
Speaker 3: Japan was going to take all that money back home.
• 48:25
Speaker 3: And they didn't pick and they didn't take people's paychecks.
• 48:29
Speaker 3: They stayed here. Green hybrid, green jobs are coming here,
• 48:32
Speaker 3: says I remember, years and years and years ago. My
• 48:35
Speaker 3: wife and I were just talking about this.
• 48:36
  Speaker 4: The other day.
• 48:37
Speaker 3: We were at a at a function with some neighbors
• 48:40
Speaker 3: and there was an elderly gentleman there and we were
• 48:42
Speaker 3: talking about the vehicles I'm talking about. This was like
• 48:44
Speaker 3: the early nineties and something was said about Toyota. This
• 48:47
Speaker 3: gentleman was a decorator World War Two veterans, so I
• 48:49
Speaker 3: have all of the respect in the world for him.
• 48:51
Speaker 3: But he said at that point something and a lot
• 48:54
Speaker 3: of older people had that mindset, and he said, I
• 48:58
Speaker 3: can tell you I'll never drive in and it may
• 49:00
Speaker 3: not even a bit about Toyota. Maybe it was another
• 49:03
Speaker 3: uh Japanese manufacturer, but he made the comment, I'll tell
• 49:06
Speaker 3: you I'll never own a Toyota because of Pearl Harbor.
• 49:09
Speaker 3: And again that's that was a very common thought process
• 49:13
Speaker 3: back then. But I will tell you that more of
• 49:18
Speaker 3: Toyota is seen to be made in America, at least
• 49:20
Speaker 3: a great great part of them. Well then what some
• 49:22
Speaker 3: American vehicles are So just throwing that out there. Oh
• 49:28
Speaker 3: so we may see later today whether the Epstein files
• 49:31
Speaker 3: will be released or not. President Trump announcing Sunday night
• 49:34
Speaker 3: that he's all for releasing the files. So we shall see.
• 49:37
Speaker 3: Said it before. In today's society, I feel that most
• 49:43
Speaker 3: people don't necessarily want to see justice done. They just
• 49:48
Speaker 3: want to play gotcha with the other side, and the
• 49:51
Speaker 3: left is all about we got to release these files.
• 49:54
Speaker 3: We gotta nail Trump on this, and the rights are
• 49:56
Speaker 3: we gotta, we gotta go after you know whomever that
• 49:58
Speaker 3: they think maybe on that. And I think, as I
• 50:00
Speaker 3: said before, I basis on nothing but some reading that
• 50:02
Speaker 3: I've done. I think if, if, and when it all
• 50:06
Speaker 3: does come out, I think there's going to be an
• 50:07
Speaker 3: equal number of left and right on the on the
• 50:09
Speaker 3: Epstein files. Whether President Trump is on it, I don't
• 50:12
Speaker 3: know whether you know any of these A lists, Hollywood celebrities,
• 50:15
Speaker 3: Bill Clinton, we already know that. You know, the former
• 50:17
Speaker 3: Prince the artist formerly known as Prince Uh. You know,
• 50:20
Speaker 3: I was going to make that joke. May may be
• 50:24
Speaker 3: on it. I don't know, but that that's just where
• 50:26
Speaker 3: we are now as a society. We're not necessarily interested
• 50:29
Speaker 3: in in the white right or wrong. We just want
• 50:31
Speaker 3: to be able to try to play gotcha with the others.
• 50:33
Speaker 3: I mean, we see it when there's a school shooting,
• 50:35
Speaker 3: we see it when there's some kind of a mass shooting.
• 50:37
Speaker 3: First thing we want to do is we want to
• 50:38
Speaker 3: find out what was his or her political ideology, And
• 50:42
Speaker 3: usually it's a mixture of everything. That's kind of what
• 50:45
Speaker 3: it is evil is it's on ideology. Last I checked,
• 50:47
Speaker 3: y let's not checked. Yeah, Larry Summers got nailed. You see,
• 50:50
Speaker 3: he was on last night. All the articles came out
• 50:53
Speaker 3: about his step back, and so now he's got to
• 50:55
Speaker 3: do you know, and and he should. That's TJ. Meadows
• 50:58
Speaker 3: by the way. Oh hey, good morning, Thank for having me.
• 51:00
Speaker 3: I just jump right in. I don't care.
• 51:02
Speaker 12: Uh so, Yeah, there's gonna be a lot of people
• 51:06
Speaker 12: release the finals. I mean, Trump could release. He doesn't
• 51:08
Speaker 12: need a vote to do that, by the way, could
• 51:10
Speaker 12: do that right now of his own accord. But let's
• 51:12
Speaker 12: have the vote. Trump is losing his grip on the
• 51:16
Speaker 12: Republican Party with this, he really is. I mean, this
• 51:19
Speaker 12: is a guy that ruled with an iron fist. People
• 51:23
Speaker 12: in the Republican Party were scared to push back this one.
• 51:27
Speaker 12: No pun intended. Trump's everything, and he has lost that ability.
• 51:31
Speaker 12: I mean, he thought he could walk MTG back, He
• 51:33
Speaker 12: thought he could walk Lauren Bobert back.
• 51:35
  Speaker 11: Uh uh.
• 51:35
Speaker 12: The floodgates are open on this thing. So yeah, get
• 51:38
Speaker 12: it out there, I was.
• 51:39
Speaker 3: Gonna say, and him getting out ahead of it on
• 51:40
Speaker 3: Sunday night, I mean, I'll somebody texted one of the
• 51:44
Speaker 3: shows and said that they thought Trump was a genius
• 51:47
Speaker 3: for getting out ahead of this, really getting out ahead. Yeah,
• 51:51
Speaker 3: so I'm just saying Tex says. Even Stephen A. Smith
• 51:54
Speaker 3: said on his show that Biden's FBI and Department of
• 51:56
Speaker 3: Justice had four freaking years and they never did the
• 51:59
Speaker 3: thing about it. Democrats didn't say a word to that.
• 52:01
Speaker 12: You would say, I don't have the time. Just get
• 52:06
Speaker 12: the files out, Get the files out, all right?
• 52:08
Speaker 3: What you got on talk line today.
• 52:09
Speaker 12: Larry Pack joins us top a show at ten o six.
• 52:11
Speaker 12: We're going to talk about his legislative priorities. Had a
• 52:14
Speaker 12: presser yesterday outlining what he wants to do. Hope is
• 52:16
Speaker 12: in there, taxes are in there. We'll talk with him
• 52:18
Speaker 12: about that big announcement out of Toyota, as you mentioned.
• 52:21
Speaker 12: We'll talk with the plant president there in Buffalo at
• 52:23
Speaker 12: ten thirty eleven o six. We're going to get into
• 52:25
Speaker 12: this audit, this CPSDHS audit that came from the federal government.
• 52:29
Speaker 8: A lot to learn there, all right.
• 52:30
Speaker 3: We got Alex Mayor on Metro News midday today, just
• 52:33
Speaker 3: understood that that message just just like you guys better
• 52:36
Speaker 3: than me, And he told me, no, I had nothing
• 52:38
Speaker 3: to do with him on Alex. That's an Amanda and
• 52:40
