  Speaker 1: the best things in life is when you get together

  Speaker 1: with other people who love God and walk with Him,

  Speaker 1: to share together in your relationship with the Lord. You know,

  Speaker 1: when you get together with a group of people,
• 0:28
  Speaker 1: Uh, you're all sharing together in your relationship with one another,
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: aren't you? Somebody brings something up, everybody laughs, somebody else
• 0:35
  Speaker 1: chips in.

  Speaker 1: It's a good time together. Well, we can spend a
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: good time together with each other and the Lord as
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: well and share together in our relationship with Him. We
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: pray together. We talk about what God has said to
• 0:49
  Speaker 1: us in the Bible together. We talk back to the
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: Lord in prayer together. It's great when you can find
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: a group of people to have real, what we call
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: fellowship with. It just means sharing in each other's walk
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: with God.

  Speaker 1: And you can turn relationships that aren't that way into
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: relationships that are that way. Just learn to turn the
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: conversation to spiritual things, to say, what is God teaching
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: you in your life right now? How can I pray
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: for you? And to just stop and spend a bit
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: of time talking and praying together, it will totally transform
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: your relationships to be so much richer and better than
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: they are.

  Speaker 1: We want to look this week at the theme of
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: who needs Jesus. We want to look for several days
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: at a passage in Ephesians chapter 2 in the Bible,
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: verses 1 to 3, where it says, And you were
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: dead in your trespasses and sins.
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: In which you formerly walked according to the course of
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: this world, according to the prince of the power of
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: the air of the spirit that is now working in
• 2:01
  Speaker 1: the sons of disobedience, then we too all formerly lived
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: children of wrath, even as the rest.

  Speaker 1: You know, the majority of people in the world, uh,
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: don't feel a need in their lives to be rescued
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: by God.
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: They think about death only in physical terms, but they
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: don't think about spiritual death.
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: The fact is, the Bible says that we are born
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: spiritually dead.
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: The first man and woman that God made had a
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: wonderful spiritual life and a great relationship with God, but
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: they turned away from God, and something very basic was
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: changed in their inner nature that broke that relationship, and
• 3:00
  Speaker 1: their children were born with a broken relationship with God.
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: Ever since then, mankind has been spiritually detached from God
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: and so
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: In God's terms, spiritually dead.
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: And spiritually dead people need to be revived. They need
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: to be given new life from God, and that is
• 3:25
  Speaker 1: what we call in Christianity salvation, being rescued by God,
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: being saved. It means that God comes into our lives
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: and gives us spiritual life. You can come to the
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: place in your life where you don't just think you're
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: a Christian.
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: You don't just hope you will be OK when you die,
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: but you know that you have a good relationship with God,
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: that your spirit has been given new life by His Spirit,
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: and that you are walking in a whole different way
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: of life than you ever could have or could have
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: made possible by yourself and for yourself. Only God can
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: do that for you. You need God.
