- 0:00Speaker 1: To the United States never settles for second, and we
- 0:03Speaker 1: don't under this administration. I can tell you that. You
- 0:06Speaker 1: see that because we have the hottest country right now
- 0:08Speaker 1: anywhere in the world. We live by the motto America First.
- 0:11Speaker 1: That's what's made us very strong, and we're leading China
- 0:14Speaker 1: and all other countries by a lot and AI and
- 0:17Speaker 1: just about every other category. Do I get credit for it?
- 0:23Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Good Friday morning. It is so nice to have you
- 0:28Speaker 3: with us on the forty seven Morning Update, and we've
- 0:31Speaker 3: got a very big story for you. The Democratic Socialists
- 0:34Speaker 3: of America. Well they've gotten even more radical, and Senator
- 0:37Speaker 3: Ted Cruz joins me to talk about just how radical
- 0:41Speaker 3: they have become and what you can expect moving forward.
- 0:45Speaker 3: It's a forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 0:50Speaker 3: All right, So let's start out, Senator talking about the
- 0:53Speaker 3: Democratic Socialists of America. I wanted to clear it now
- 0:57Speaker 3: very clearly for people listening other radio. This is a
- 0:59Speaker 3: real organization. They have real power in the Democratic Party
- 1:03Speaker 3: and many believe this is actually the future of the
- 1:06Speaker 3: Democratic Party, including who they decide to enduse to run
- 1:11Speaker 3: on the Democratic side for the presidency.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Well, let me be clear. The DSA is not simply socialist.
- 1:17Speaker 4: They're communists. They are outright Marxists, They're radicals. And we're
- 1:22Speaker 4: witnessing a hostile taker takeover of the Democrat Party. And look,
- 1:27Speaker 4: there are some Republicans that are celebrating, say hey, this
- 1:30Speaker 4: is great, the other side has gone crazy, that we
- 1:32Speaker 4: should be really happy. That's going to be easy to
- 1:34Speaker 4: beat them in November. Let me be clear, I'm not celebrating.
- 1:38Speaker 4: I think it is dangerous as all get out. Listen,
- 1:42Speaker 4: I want a country with two major political parties that
- 1:47Speaker 4: actually have normal people that are not nuts. I'd like, Okay,
- 1:51Speaker 4: look if Democrats are fans of a little bit higher taxes,
- 1:55Speaker 4: a little bit more regulations, okay, Like I don't agree
- 1:57Speaker 4: with that, but we can have a reasonable conversation between
- 2:02Speaker 4: how high taxes should be. The Marxists who are taking
- 2:05Speaker 4: over the Democrat Party are absolute zealots that I got
- 2:09Speaker 4: to say. There was some very interesting polling that came
- 2:12Speaker 4: out this week, and it looked at voting patterns from
- 2:16Speaker 4: twenty sixteen to twenty twenty four and who voted for
- 2:19Speaker 4: the Democrat running for president, who voted for the Republican
- 2:22Speaker 4: running for president, and it broke the voters down into
- 2:26Speaker 4: twenty quadrants. So it had in terms of education, it
- 2:31Speaker 4: had high school or less. It had some college, four
- 2:35Speaker 4: year college degree or postgraduate degree. So those are the
- 2:39Speaker 4: four four educational levels. And then on income, it had
- 2:43Speaker 4: less than thirty thousand a year, it had thirty to
- 2:46Speaker 4: sixty thousand a year, and had sixty to one hundred
- 2:48Speaker 4: thousand a year, It had one hundred to two hundred
- 2:50Speaker 4: thousand a year, and then finally it had two hundred
- 2:53Speaker 4: thousand plus a year. So that's twenty quadrants. Now, of
- 2:58Speaker 4: those twenty, what do you think was the single highest
- 3:02Speaker 4: percentage voting for the Democrat presidential nominee.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna guess. I'm gonna guess younger, just because I
- 3:09Speaker 3: think that's where they get a lot of their support.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Right now, Well, it is true, this was not age base, though,
- 3:16Speaker 4: this was education based.
- 3:17Speaker 3: So young, So I'm gonna say less than college degree
- 3:22Speaker 3: or or high school diploma. And I may be wrong.
- 3:25Speaker 4: You are totally and completely wrong. I love you.
- 3:27Speaker 3: So it's a Harvard Yell and Princeton crazies. That's what
- 3:30Speaker 3: we're getting at.
- 3:31Speaker 4: It is so the old traditional stereotype was Republicans of
- 3:38Speaker 4: the party of the rich and Democrats of the party
- 3:40Speaker 4: of the poor and working class. That I don't know
- 3:43Speaker 4: that that was ever the case, but it is not
- 3:45Speaker 4: the case today. Democrats are the parties of the party
- 3:49Speaker 4: of rich coastal elites, and Republicans are a blue collar party.
- 3:54Speaker 4: And listen, that has been my base from the day
- 3:56Speaker 4: I got elected to the Senate. My base has been
- 3:58Speaker 4: truck drivers and deal workers and cops and firefighters and
- 4:02Speaker 4: waiters and waitresses. That's who my base has been. But
- 4:05Speaker 4: I want you to look.
- 4:05Speaker 3: At these work in the Permian is your voter.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Look you got a South Texas oil and gas guy,
- 4:11Speaker 4: Hispanic guy driving a pickup truck. You go bird hunting
- 4:15Speaker 4: on the weekend. Those are my peeps, all right. So
- 4:19Speaker 4: the single most Democrat of the twenty quadrants is postgraduate degree,
- 4:24Speaker 4: So not just college. They got a postgraduate.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Degree, masters are above and.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Making thirty thousand to sixty thousand a year, and seventy
- 4:32Speaker 4: percent of those folks voted Democrat for president. Now, who
- 4:36Speaker 4: are we talking about. We're talking about a bunch of
- 4:39Speaker 4: entitled kids, many of whom came from wealthy families. They
- 4:43Speaker 4: went to college. They weren't done yet, they went to
- 4:46Speaker 4: grad school. By the way, many of them got worthless
- 4:50Speaker 4: degrees underwater basket weaving queer theory, and they're like, yes,
- 4:54Speaker 4: I'm expressing my individuality.
- 4:56Speaker 3: It turns out, by the way, don't forget the Taylor
- 4:58Speaker 3: Swift classes they have at the your league schools Now,
- 5:01Speaker 3: don't forget that's like a master's degree you can get.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Now, it turns out nobody wants to pay you for
- 5:08Speaker 4: queer theory that actually does not earn a paycheck. And
- 5:12Speaker 4: so these are downwardly mobile, over educated, bitter, ideological leftists
- 5:18Speaker 4: who feel like the world owes me something, and damn it,
- 5:21Speaker 4: I'm mad. Now, do you know what the single most
- 5:23Speaker 4: Republican contingent of the twenty quadrants was?
- 5:26Speaker 3: What was that?
- 5:27Speaker 4: High school or less interesting sixty thousand to one hundred thousand,
- 5:33Speaker 4: and sixty one percent of them vote Republican. Only thirty
- 5:38Speaker 4: nine percent vote Democrat. By the way, high school or
- 5:41Speaker 4: less one hundred thousand to two hundred thousand is forty
- 5:43Speaker 4: percent Democrat, and high school or less two hundred thousand
- 5:47Speaker 4: and more is forty one percent Democrat. So high school
- 5:50Speaker 4: or less, you're out working and succeeding. That is the
- 5:53Speaker 4: base of today's Republican Party. In terms of educational levels,
- 5:58Speaker 4: the most Republican aid educational level is high school or less.
- 6:03Speaker 4: And actually Republicans win every income level from thirty thousand
- 6:08Speaker 4: all the way up. So if you run down the
- 6:11Speaker 4: high school or less less than thirty thousand, Democrats narrowly win.
- 6:15Speaker 4: It's fifty one to forty nine, so it's almost a tie,
- 6:18Speaker 4: making less than thirty thousand, thirty to sixty thousand Democrats
- 6:23Speaker 4: get forty three percent, sixty to one hundred thousand Democrats
- 6:26Speaker 4: get thirty nine percent, one hundred to two hundred thousand
- 6:29Speaker 4: Democrats get forty percent, and over two hundred thousand Democrats
- 6:32Speaker 4: get forty one percent. So if you only have a
- 6:35Speaker 4: high school degree or less, you're voting Republican. Why Because
- 6:39Speaker 4: we're the party of jobs. We're the party of regular people.
- 6:42Speaker 4: We're the party of people that actually go out and
- 6:44Speaker 4: work and have calluses on their hands. That's what we're doing.
- 6:47Speaker 3: We're the party of sanity, where we believe men or
- 6:49Speaker 3: men and women are women.
- 6:50Speaker 5: And by the way, we believe women exist. It's not
- 6:54Speaker 5: even we believe women are women like these crazy woke
- 6:58Speaker 5: radicals don't believe they're such a thing as a woman.
- 7:01Speaker 3: No, they don't. And this goes back, by the way,
- 7:03Speaker 3: and I want to pause here because I think it's
- 7:05Speaker 3: important to bring this into perspective. When you worked hard
- 7:09Speaker 3: to push the legislation for no tax on tips and
- 7:12Speaker 3: no tax on overtime and also no tax you know,
- 7:16Speaker 3: and this is security like all of those things that
- 7:18Speaker 3: Donald Trump was talking about America. First, you were pushing
- 7:21Speaker 3: this legislation very very hard and leading it through the Senate.
- 7:25Speaker 3: That explains also a lot about where the ball has
- 7:28Speaker 3: moved as well. Yes, the Republican Party was the one
- 7:31Speaker 3: that came up with this, and Donald Trump, not the Democrats.
- 7:34Speaker 3: By the way, Democrats fought against it. Remind people how
- 7:37Speaker 3: they voted on that issue.
- 7:39Speaker 4: So listen on no tax on tips, I'm the author
- 7:41Speaker 4: of that. I wrote the legislation that has no tax
- 7:44Speaker 4: on tips. When I'm at a restaurant, I'll often tell
- 7:48Speaker 4: the waiter and waitresses, Hey, by the way, how do
- 7:50Speaker 4: you like no tax on tips? They all love it.
- 7:52Speaker 4: The average deduction is over seven grand. You want to
- 7:55Speaker 4: talk about like a single mom waiting tables. That's real
- 7:58Speaker 4: money in her pocket for when I'm at when I'm
- 8:02Speaker 4: getting like my haircut at the barbers, like my barbers
- 8:04Speaker 4: are giving them a high five, saying thank you. That
- 8:08Speaker 4: is that has always been my base. But that's the
- 8:11Speaker 4: base of the Republican Party. You contrast that to the
- 8:15Speaker 4: educational line, that is, most Democrat are people with postgraduate degrees.
- 8:20Speaker 4: And postgraduate degrees making less than thirty thousand, they vote
- 8:25Speaker 4: sixty seven percent Democrat. Thirty thousand to sixty thousand, they
- 8:28Speaker 4: vote seventy percent Democrat. The single most Democrat of all
- 8:33Speaker 4: twenty quadrants, postgraduate degree making sixty thousand to one hundred thousand,
- 8:37Speaker 4: they vote sixty five percent Democrat. Postgraduate degree making one
- 8:41Speaker 4: hundred thousand to two hundred thousand they make, they vote
- 8:43Speaker 4: sixty five percent Democrat. And postgraduate degree making more than
- 8:47Speaker 4: two hundred thousand, they vote sixty six percent Democrats. So
- 8:51Speaker 4: if you have a and by the way, I've got
- 8:53Speaker 4: a law degree, so apparently I did not learn the
- 8:58Speaker 4: indoctrination that I was supposed to learn going to college
- 9:01Speaker 4: and law school. And by the way, the college numbers
- 9:04Speaker 4: are not much better if you go to college, and Ben,
- 9:06Speaker 4: I'm sorry to tell you this is not broken out
- 9:10Speaker 4: did you go to Harvard? This is did you go
- 9:12Speaker 4: to college? So you went to Ole Miss. Yeah, those
- 9:15Speaker 4: numbers are there too. Everyone with a college degree is
- 9:19Speaker 4: a majority voting Democrat right now. And I think the
- 9:23Speaker 4: ideological indoctrination from colleges email is a big, big part
- 9:28Speaker 4: of this well.
- 9:29Speaker 3: And it's not just college. It's also happening in our
- 9:33Speaker 3: public schools at all levels. You see it in the
- 9:36Speaker 3: indoctrination elementary schools. You see this in the doctrination we've
- 9:39Speaker 3: seen with the gay pride days and the indoctrination of
- 9:43Speaker 3: those types of scenarios and men and women's locker room
- 9:46Speaker 3: and boys and girls or girls and boys sports. Like
- 9:49Speaker 3: the indoctrination in the elementary and the middle and the
- 9:51Speaker 3: high school is just as bad. The unions have taken
- 9:56Speaker 3: that space over. They are using it is a a
- 10:00Speaker 3: ground to prey on kids' minds, to get them to
- 10:03Speaker 3: believe that somehow America and democracy in capitalism is genuinely evil.
- 10:08Speaker 3: And if you tell them that for twelve years, then
- 10:11Speaker 3: send them to college and you in doctrinate them again.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Now we're witnessing what happens.
- 10:17Speaker 4: And by the way, that's a big part of the
- 10:19Speaker 4: reason why last year I also authored the biggest school
- 10:22Speaker 4: choice bill in American history that is going to help
- 10:24Speaker 4: millions of kids get out out of failing schools and
- 10:27Speaker 4: get a good education. And why I also authored the
- 10:30Speaker 4: Trump Accounts, which is going to create a whole new
- 10:33Speaker 4: generation of capitalists as our kids become invested in the
- 10:36Speaker 4: stock markets and owners of the biggest employers in America.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Let me tell you what Nate Silver wrote. Look, Nate
- 10:43Speaker 4: Silver is this writer who is not a conservative, he's
- 10:47Speaker 4: left of center. But here's what he writes. Quote, what
- 10:49Speaker 4: is the most democratic voting group in America. It's voters
- 10:53Speaker 4: with postgraduate degrees but lowered middle household incomes of thirty
- 10:59Speaker 4: thousand to sixty one thousand per year. This is very
- 11:02Speaker 4: much also the sweet spot for the DSA. In the
- 11:06Speaker 4: group's most recent member survey in twenty twenty one, eighty
- 11:12Speaker 4: percent of members this is of the DSA, of the
- 11:14Speaker 4: crazy letling Marxists aged twenty five or older had bachelor's degrees. Wow,
- 11:21Speaker 4: but forty five percent had household incomes below sixty thousand
- 11:28Speaker 4: per year. And so listen. Part of this is these
- 11:31Speaker 4: are young knuckleheads, many of them growing up with wealth,
- 11:34Speaker 4: some with trust funds, who were told to go to school,
- 11:38Speaker 4: and nobody actually said, hey, when you go to school,
- 11:40Speaker 4: if you're going to go to college, maybe you ought
- 11:42Speaker 4: to study something that you could get a job that
- 11:44Speaker 4: you could produce something of value. And the concept of
- 11:50Speaker 4: I want to provide for my family, so I want
- 11:52Speaker 4: to do something that's valuable. Look, a plumber does something
- 11:55Speaker 4: of value, a cop does something of value, a teacher
- 12:01Speaker 4: does something of value, aed doctor does something of value,
- 12:04Speaker 4: a nurse does something of value. And yet these left
- 12:09Speaker 4: wing radicals were told you don't need to actually study
- 12:12Speaker 4: something that can produce a good or service. People want
- 12:17Speaker 4: you should just gaze at your navel and engage in
- 12:22Speaker 4: political rantings and ravings. And so part of the reason
- 12:26Speaker 4: why they become communists is they think the world owes
- 12:29Speaker 4: them a living that they can't actually produce anything valuable.
- 12:33Speaker 4: You know, if you're out digging ditches, that's valuable. A
- 12:36Speaker 4: high school graduate is out getting work as a construction
- 12:39Speaker 4: worker knows if I want to get paid, I gotta
- 12:41Speaker 4: go out and put up put up sheet rock. That
- 12:44Speaker 4: is a big big difference.
