- 0:00Tending yea, what do you need to know? Good morning, six o'clock.
- 0:06Here's what you need to know. Governor Bergham is likely to announce a
- 0:10decision about a presidential run in the coming weeks. Now. Several GOP consultants
- 0:15have been approached to work for the possible Burgham campaign, and he's also shooting
- 0:18some TV ads to prepare for a potential launch. But how wild would that
- 0:22be? I hadn't even heard a sniff of this, you know, happening.
- 0:26Interesting though, Maybe we could be on his cabinet in charge of media
- 0:32relations or something there we go. Yeah, I don't really ever want to
- 0:35get into the presidential kind of stuff because I feel like, no matter you
- 0:38could be squeaky clean, they're coming after you for some time. They're not
- 0:42going to come after the head of media relations. I mean, I feel
- 0:45like they're going to come after you for anything, especially if you have a
- 0:47good enough campaign. What do you got, you know in your past?
- 0:50What kind of skeletons America? There isn't any skeletons. It's just I don't
- 0:54also feel like a lot of it's made up too. Yeah, No,
- 0:57I got some skeletons, A lot of fake accusations out there, and the
- 1:02current season of Yellowstone will be the last one, but the name is going
- 1:04to live on. New data from the Social Security Administration shows that Dutton,
- 1:08of course, the last name from the family Future featured on Yellowstone, is
- 1:11the fastest growing baby name in the US. Dutton Dutton. It's hard to
- 1:15say, and it's kind of you're not a fan of Dutt. But then
- 1:19a good idea. I haven't seen the show, is it any good?
- 1:22Oh, it's so great. It is ready to be kind of like wrapped
- 1:26up. I'm okay with that. So one of the characters, the hot
- 1:29guy, we actually have a cardboard cut around here of I saw him.
- 1:32Oh, but you you're familiar with Rip. Yeah, we had actually Cowboy.
- 1:36Yeah, so we had actually thought about being real I guess aggressive.
- 1:42Yeah, I think that's what. And to have that the Briggs name.
- 1:45When we were going through names, Rip was like on the list Rip nicks,
- 1:49like that might be just a nickname if you ever want to setting the
- 1:53expectations high for the young man, right, if you're gonna be ripped,
- 1:56you gotta bey. And Wendy's has announced that they have a plan to pilot
- 2:02a robot system that delivers mobile orders in seconds. So instead of inquiring their
- 2:07employee used to bring out digital food orders, a robotic system transport transports the
- 2:13foods, the orders underground and then it goes from the kitchen all the way
- 2:16out to the designated parking spots. I'm just not ready for the robots in
- 2:20the world. I don't know why I'm so anti robot, but I don't
- 2:23know why you are either. I don't like it. I feel like I'd
- 2:25be more confident than them being able to like put an appropriate amount of lettuce
- 2:29and you know, pickles or not. You ever get a burger at a
- 2:31fast food place and it's just like so slapped together, like t take just
- 2:37ten seconds to do this. Sometimes it gets crazy for me. It's like
- 2:39if you get a sub sandwich and you want something out, It's like,
- 2:43did you just put four olives on that entire foot long? That's it.
- 2:46I was just that subway, and this woman in front of me, she
- 2:49was it was at the airport, so I was already annoyed with everybody.
- 2:52Yeah, but she's like, this is gonna sound weird, but can you
- 2:53put exactly three black olives on the sub and they're like, okay, She's
- 3:00like, it's just I found this the perfect flavor ratio. I'm like,
- 3:02shut up, just pay for the sub and go three. All of the
- 3:07perfect flavor ratio cannot taste. That's when you're like, just get out of
- 3:12line. Woman, all in a haystack. Oh my gosh. All right,
- 3:15weatherwise for today, it is pretty chilly. We could get some sprinkles
- 3:19this morning, and otherwise it is only going to be a hive about sixty
- 3:22five today. Looking at it. Your forecast for the weekend, sunny,
- 3:24seventy five all week in. Look, it looks like eighty on Sunday week
- 3:29I know. Well, it's Pike and Amanda in the morning. We're wrapping
- 3:30up our first week together. Very exciting. In intern Gracie, we have
- 3:35another icebreaker for you. Okay, all right, it's a top. This
- 3:37one's called just one Lie. Are you a good liar? No? Today's
- 3:44variety Big Nutty eight point seven. None of the ice isn't just totally shot?
- 3:50Is the ice? Is it off the lakes? Is there somewhere?
- 3:53Yes? Oh my gosh. We're going to the lake this weekend. It
- 3:54is pontoon time, baby, Yeah, opening fishing was last weekend? All
- 3:59right? All right, Well, entering Gracie. We just met a Monday,
- 4:01and Amanda and I have known each other for years, but there's still
- 4:03things we're learning, and you know, lost change the last three years.
- 4:06You got like a whole family now. And yeah, so we're gonna play
- 4:10a little game called just One Lie. All right, entering Gracie. All
- 4:14right, So we're gonna ask you six questions, Amanda, and either very
- 4:15personal, so I hope you don't mind, but one of the six you're
- 4:19gonna have to lie about. Don't tell us which one, but just lie,
- 4:23all right, and then at the end we're going to decide which one
- 4:25it was you lied about. We'll have to work together on ye see if
- 4:28we can do that. So you're ready, You're ready, Mandy? You
- 4:30start? Are you good? Liar? Your poker face? No? Not
- 4:33good? This is gonna be good. Okay. Name an actor you think
- 4:39is funny? Oh? Will Ferrell? Okay, there's no way, that's
- 4:44a lot. Classic classic. Where did you grow up? I grew up
- 4:48in Fargo, North Dakota, North Dakot. Nice? All right? What
- 4:54is your middle name, Elizabeth? What's your favorite kind of cuisine? Oh?
- 5:09You don't even know. No, I really don't like food. Are
- 5:12to live if you don't answer Italian? Oh? I love Italian. I'm
- 5:16a Spaghettian meatballs guy. Guilty is charged? Are you enjoying your time so
- 5:23far? On the Pike and Amanda in the Morning Show? Oh? I
- 5:25really am And what is one thing you've learned so far this week? On
- 5:32the Pike and Amanda in the Morning Show? Oh, one thing I have
- 5:36learned? Huh? Yeah? Well, oh boy, I've learned about Pike
- 5:47and his band. Well you didn't know before I did. Um, But
- 5:53I've also learned more about Amanda than I didn't that I didn't know. Okay,
- 5:57all right, what really stuck out this week? Yeah? What?
- 6:01My favorite factor about you this week is that you failed your yoga class in
- 6:04college. Yeah, that is true. Well, I was dating a guy
- 6:06who played golf at the time, so I usual I thought I'd skip yoga
- 6:10and go play golf with him, not realizing like, you have to show
- 6:13up for yoga. That's like the only thing you have to do. All
- 6:17right, Amanda, what do you think which one? The middle name felt
- 6:21like a total it totally did um, I gotta go. Middle name as
- 6:27well. Yeah, inter Gracie, did you lie about your middle name being
- 6:30Elizabeth? I did not. Oh, next one would be Italian, like
- 6:35you really don't care for Italian food? I like Italian food, but Mexican.
- 6:41I love Mexican. Was a lie? Yeah, gotta cuisine. It
- 6:46seemed like you didn't even know, So how can you lie? All right?
- 6:49Well, the ice is officially broken. Full steam ahead, all right,
- 6:54all right, guys, I don't laid up to anyone. Hey,
- 7:01Google, whatever you're gonna like? His name is pelatively maybe eight point seven?
- 7:08Wait, amand juncture. Well, I'm really surprised by this. Florida
- 7:14judge has ruled that Tiger Wood's ex girlfriend must abide by the NDA that she
- 7:17signed with him. Erica Herman is seeking millions of dollars from her AX,
- 7:20but the judge ruled that she may pursue the situation, but in a private
- 7:26arbitration. She issuing Tiger for alleged sexual harassment. It'll be interesting to see
- 7:30how this all plays out. But yes, signed the NDA. Yeah,
- 7:33it's interesting decision by the judge to make her follow the contract she signed.
- 7:38But weird. Yeah, but the way she had set it up was that
- 7:41he was forcing her to do that. I'm like, was there a gun
- 7:44to your head? Like, come on now, no, I'm sure the
- 7:46sign at the time it was great, Yeah, whatever, okay, And
- 7:48when he decided he didn't want to, you know, have you living this
- 7:51lifestyle anymore? Most people get a little bitter about that. I still I
- 7:56mean the whole thing where he told her they were going on a vacation and
- 8:00then just kicked her out of the house and change the locks. Yeah,
- 8:05classic tiger move. Prince Harry and Meghan Marko's legal team fired off a letter
- 8:11requesting the footage from their chase in New York City on Tuesday night, but
- 8:13the company who took the photos rejected, saying, in America, as I'm
- 8:18sure you know, property belongs to the owner of it. Third parties cannot
- 8:20just demand it be given to them, as perhaps kings can do. Oh
- 8:26well, isn't that what a subpoena is? I don't know, but sub
- 8:30pa the videos. I love the fact that this guy came just right on.
- 8:35I'm like, in America, bro, here's what's going down. Like,
- 8:37You're not Prince Harry in America, nobody cares. You're just an American
- 8:43citizen just doing what everybody else, just a guy named Harry in which case,
- 8:46come on. By the way, Harry and Meghan's team called that their
- 8:50encounter with the Pops paparazzi New York catastrophic. The NYPD apparently said yesterday that
- 8:56that's way overblown. So I'm assuming we're gonna sum how get this footage and
- 9:01it's gonna be them and will be Goldberg of all people. Yesterday Jose went
- 9:05on a Ranch's like who goes on a high speed chase in New York City?
- 9:09You can barely get around. Now it's gonna be yeah, you will
- 9:11get the video to be a low speed chase and be like OJ getting away.
- 9:16They're like hiding. I don't know. And Alec Baldwin has a new
- 9:20project that he's working on. He just wrapped up the production of Rust earlier
- 9:24this week. Interesting choice for his next movie. It's called Kent State.
- 9:28It's about a tragic nineteen seventy war protest and the shootings. I guess the
- 9:31film is about the abuse of power and misuse of guns. Oh, and
- 9:37they didn't want to make sure everybody knew that there will be no actual guns
- 9:41used on this set. The fact that we've been using guns with live amm
- 9:45on any set in twenty twenty three is insane to me. The movie's gonna
- 9:48come out and it's gonna be like little squirt guns at zag nighty eight point
- 9:54seven. This is the weekend's out now, Today's variety A Big Naty eight
- 10:01point seven. Pike and Amanda in the morning. Happy Friday to you.
- 10:05Yes, weatherwise, a little chilly this morning. I have only sixty five
- 10:09today, but the weather for the weekend is shaping up to be pretty nice.
- 10:11All right. Seven to eleven we make the big announcement on who the
- 10:13three contestants will be for Pike to town for Pink to win third row Pink
- 10:18tickets. In turn, Gracie, we've we're close to a decision on the
- 10:20final three. We are. I'm just kind of looking from my final choices.
- 10:24Oh, I'm excited. We've had some great entries. It's not too
- 10:28late. You can still get in on it. Just go to Big nine
- 10:31eight seven dot com. All right, so last night my wife retaliated against
- 10:35Yeah, it was a planned retaliation because since we moved here back from Florida,
- 10:39lived here for thirty years, moved to Florida. Now I'm back.
- 10:43She's become a bit of a golf widow. They say, oh, yeah,
- 10:46I'm very familiar. Yeah, oh you know it's something about that.
- 10:50Yeah, because your husband, Nick and I we frequent the golf course together.
- 10:54Yeah. He had a nice little break for a couple of years while
- 10:56you were gone. I messaging me how much. Yeah, now he's back
- 11:03on the juice. The juice is flowing. Whatever it is that you guys
- 11:05said, juice is a beat, and we do have some running bets going.
- 11:09But anyway, last night, my wife, Lauren, she and my
- 11:11sister who we live with at the moment, and her husband and I also
- 11:15named Nick. We do a lot of golfing as well, so they decided
- 11:18to well, you guys are always golfing, We're gonna go out on the
- 11:20town. I like it. I know, Thursday night tears, right,
- 11:24So that's fine. I get it. I feel bad that I'm at the
- 11:28golf horse all the time, but it's only for three months. So anyway,
- 11:31my wife's out and I'm like, all right, have fun. Can
- 11:33you do me one solid because I'm going to bed right now. And I
- 11:37got a load of laundry in the wash and I don't want to. I'm
- 11:39falling asleep, my eyes are getting heavy. I'm not gonna wait to throw
- 11:41him in the dryer. Can when you get home, can you just throw
- 11:43him in there? Can you throw him in the dryer? Because I have
- 11:46no clothes, Like literally, I would have no nothing to wear. Okay,
- 11:50She's like, yeah, no problem, I got it. So I
- 11:52wake up this morning and I walked down the stairs to do and I go
- 11:56in the cold little laundry room. Who can find some Choni's fresh the dryer?
- 12:00Think we're gonna be freshies. Yeah, nothing in the dryer, just
- 12:03soggy wet still in the washer. I'm like, oh, well, maybe
- 12:05she folded him and put him away. Yeah. Yeah, she probably folded
- 12:09him on the bed and said, here you go, Pike, fresh folded
- 12:13clothes for tomorrow morning. I picked out an outfit in everything. Nope,
- 12:18soaking wet, musty. You know, it smell and they wash and then
- 12:22you have to rewash them. No, I understand where you would be upset,
- 12:24but hey, she was busy. Yeah, so guess what my underwear
- 12:28currently or soaking wet if you can picture that. And it was all and
- 12:31I know she's gonna tell me I've been talked to you today. I know
- 12:33she's gonna say it was an accident or she just forgot. Well, for
- 12:37sure, because you would do the exact same, Yeah, forgot. No,
- 12:39no, no, I think this was intentional. Inter Gracie. Does
- 12:41this feel intentional on my wife's aren't? I don't know. I feel like
- 12:46maybe she went out, had a few drinks, that happened, She had
- 12:50a few drinks, got home, wanted to go a bit to sleep,
- 12:54forgot about it. Yeah. I know it's a total innocent mistake, but
- 12:58I would love to think that Lauren did it on purpose, because that is
- 13:01glorious. I believe she did. First, it starts with dinner. Pretty
- 13:07soon they're playing bingo at Dempsey's. I'm like, what's going on here?
- 13:11I think I love that you're complaining about this. When you rolled into town
- 13:15Friday, Saturday, you didn't golf because you decided to celebrate Mother's Day on
- 13:18Saturday because I was your option. You golfed all day Sunday, Monday,
- 13:24Tuesday, Wednesday was league night. So the one day you didn't golf,
- 13:31I see you're obviously bitter as well, because you know not only has It
- 13:33been bad already with your husband and I, but it's gonna get worse.
- 13:37I promise you that. Yeah you already took him out for a whole day.
- 13:41Yeah, well it's gonna be. There're gonna be more days, so
- 13:43I don't need you retaliating to Okay, I just want to give this.
- 13:46I want to clear the air before you're gonna need to figure out this golf
- 13:48wife life situation here, because come on now, I'm just telling you it's
- 13:52gonna get worse before it gets better. Okay, I'm not ready. I
- 13:56love discovering new music, literally us an all day for the contests, Facebook,
- 14:05listening all day at work. That's what I meant. As you know,
- 14:11we've been getting keeper red stirred for a chance to sit in the third
- 14:13row to watch Pink at the Fargodome. Amazing. I've never even been on
- 14:18the floor at the Fargodome, but third row would be just such an incredible
- 14:22experience. Pair of tickets we got, and so what we're doing, it's
- 14:24piked the town for Pink because I'm new to town again. You know again,
- 14:28I lived here for thirty years. What has happened in three years?
- 14:31Oh? You guys are telling me about all these new restaurants and things.
- 14:33I'm like, oh, that's so cool. So the goal is for you,
- 14:35if you're chosen to take my giant cardboard head. If this thing's like
- 14:39five feet tall, massive it is, and we even have little pike heads
- 14:43over here. If you have kids, oh cute. Yeah, I'm fun.
- 14:46See, it's just not practical for you to actually bring me physically round.
- 14:48So we've got this big head. So what you'll do is parade around
- 14:50town, show me the new stuff, show me the old stuff, just
- 14:52kind of reacquaint me with fargomore head captured all on social media, and then
- 14:56at the end of the week, we're going to decide who wins. Who
- 14:58did the best job a pike in the town for pink So great, I
- 15:01am excited about this. We are about to announce the three contestants that we
- 15:05will have in intern Gracie. Are they on the phone? They are all
- 15:09right? So first up, Amanda, good morning. This is well hey
- 15:13girl, it's Amanda. Hey Amanda, how are you? I am doing
- 15:16great? Also, there's a guy named Pike hanging out in here too.
- 15:18Yeah sorry, oh yeah, yeah, I hear that, Amanda. We
- 15:24were reading about you. There's an article out on Valley Duds Live about you
- 15:28know. I'm kidding, No, we were reading about you that you would
- 15:31be interested maybe possibly sitting in the third row for pink. Is that right?
- 15:35Oh yeah, Well it's really weird here because when I assume it was
- 15:39you going to Big nine eighty seven dot com and registering, it said something
- 15:43about this mama needs her hot mama groove on. Can you give us a
- 15:48few more details about that? Oh my god, I need to get out
- 15:52really, I feel you and the Pink concert is the way to get out
- 15:56for real, Amanda. Well, we have exciting news because you know,
- 16:00we're doing our Pike the Town for Pink competition and you are one of the
- 16:03three. Whoa, Oh my gosh, that's wonderful. What are you going
- 16:10to do with this that? My plan is to go to Brudispa Coast.
- 16:12I'm going to take him out on the town. I really am. They're
- 16:15going to recognize him over at Brutes. In fact, they might not.
- 16:18Again about that, it's so careful. Oh she sounds fun. I'm excited.
- 16:23I always get contestant too on the phone and turned Gracie. He is
- 16:26there, his name is Thane? Is that right? Yes? Good morning
- 16:30than Thane. What's going on? Just slaving away? Where's over there?
- 16:34Where you working? Okay? We're at Signed Solution. You know there'd been
- 16:37a sign issue. I was I was hoping somebody would find a solution.
- 16:41I'm just your solution to all your sign problems. Wow, it sounds like
- 16:45you know a lot about signs. Then. How did I think the prisoners
- 16:48did that? You know, you know I do compete against them, but
- 16:52you know hate our quality is better. Well, Thane, you had gotten
- 16:55to Big nine at seven dot com and registered for third row Pink ticks and
- 17:00sign guy. We thought maybe you would be a contestant holding a big old
- 17:06sign around town. Hey, well that would be a lot of fun.
- 17:07What do you say we give you a chance with Pike to Town for pink
- 17:11Thane to win third row pink tickets. How's that sound perfect? I'm all
- 17:15in, he's in. All right. Let's get a contestant number three on
- 17:18the phone in turn, Gracie. What's her name? Name is Sarah?
- 17:22All right? Good morning Sarah? Hello? All right? So Sarah,
- 17:25you had registered to win third row pink tickets with Pike to Town for pink.
- 17:29Do you remember doing that? Oh? I sure do. Okay,
- 17:30sometimes I do things and forget, So that's good. I think I was
- 17:33sober that night. Oh my gosh, this is already gonna be good.
- 17:37All right, Well, we have a very very exciting news that you,
- 17:40Sarah, have been selected to be contestant number three to win the Pink Dits.
- 17:45Oh my god, awesome, I'm so excited. Yeah, we are
- 17:48excited because it looks like you've got some plans with this pike head that we're
- 17:51about to give you today. What are you gonna do? I think that'll
- 17:56be for me to know. Oh I did see and hear you wanted to
- 18:00make sure everybody knew you're gonna take him everywhere. But maybe not the shower.
- 18:03Correct, not the shower. Why are we ruling things out? I
- 18:06mean he's more of a bubble bath guy. True. Oh there you go.
- 18:10True. Oh that's so exciting. Oh man, Well let's get it
- 18:12started into Gracie. If can you put them on hold and then can we
- 18:15get them here? Can we maybe see if they could just come in?
- 18:18I think we can you all right, I've been visioning them all standing here
- 18:21with big old pike heads just Oh, it's gonna be like the start amazing
- 18:25race. Oh, let's get him going, so they'll be in the studio
- 18:27here later the hour on Pike in Amanda in the morning on big Nightia point
- 18:30seven. I love it loud. It makes me feel so good. I
- 18:36love the station. Yes, first up in the hot seat is contest the
- 18:45number one. And if I remember right from twenty minutes ago, and I
- 18:47talk to you, your name is Amanda. Yes, good morning, Amanda.
- 18:51How are you doing today? I'm doing good. How are you?
- 18:52We're doing great? So excited. I mean, we gave you the phone
- 18:56call. You're here. Are you ready for this? I mean, this
- 18:59is a pretty big task. It is. I don't know if I fully
- 19:03am aware that I what I signed up for. So ready for it?
- 19:07I'm ready for it. So uh well, it's it's really easy, Amanda.
- 19:11So you can see behind Amanda, that's my head. It's giant,
- 19:15it's cardboard, and your job is just to parade it around town and sort
- 19:18of reacquaint me with the area. So you can do that, right,
- 19:21Oh yeah, I can. Well, Gracie hand her over her big old
- 19:23head over here. And now do you have kids? By chance? I
- 19:26do, okay, So we will also give you a small pike head just
- 19:29you know, the bigger the better. But you know sometimes he comes and
- 19:33yeah wow, yeah, there's a size for any occasion. Obviously, double
- 19:41the pikes there you god. So man, if you won the third row
- 19:45pink tickets, who would you plan to bring again? I have not fully
- 19:48thought that through, but um, what a powerful card to hold though.
- 19:52You know you can have you can have people bribe you. Oh yeah,
- 19:56yeah, well, and I also love it where you you don't want to
- 19:59really say right now because people are like, hey, remember when I heard
- 20:00you on the radio, you said you were bringing me to the show.
- 20:03And we are live on Facebook right now too, So I love it all
- 20:07right, Amanda, good luck to you. You're contestant one officially, Thank
- 20:11you welcome. How exciting treat that head? Well all right, Contestant number
- 20:17two's name is Thane. Welcome than to the pipe Nazi morning morning thing,
- 20:22good morning. Now. You're the guy that said he worked for the sign
- 20:26company, right, yes, literally street signs like literally the one that says
- 20:30like nine four exit two old caution. Yeah, Hey, what's the deal
- 20:36in more Head? Why is there intersections without any sort of sign, not
- 20:38that it's your call, but I have a severe issue with this. Maybe
- 20:41that's roundabout. I don't they're square about anyway. He's like, I work
- 20:47in Yeah right, not my problem. All right, So you get the
- 20:49pair of tickets to in the third row for pink. Who are you bringing?
- 20:52Foxy Roxy? Tell us more about this a foxy Roxy Roxy. This
- 21:00goes back along way. It's all your fault, we even boy. Is
- 21:03that your wife? Yes, yep, that's amazing. My gosh, I
- 21:07forgot about that. That was we were on a previous station, previous like
- 21:11thirteen years ago. I forgot all about that. Yeah. I've gone through
- 21:15a few chapters of my life since then. Start. Yeah, this to
- 21:19be my second chapter. Yep. So look it here we are all right.
- 21:22I love it so contestant too, Good luck to you. Here's your
- 21:26giant pike head. Ye don't forget to give him a little pike. Oh
- 21:30yeah, little pike is going along too. We should have got one even
- 21:33smaller, like one of those Norwegian dolls or whatever. Just kept getting small
- 21:37different sizes. Man. All right, and our third contestant, I believe
- 21:40is Sarah. Sarah, did you bring a special guest with you. I
- 21:42did. I brought my daughter Ali al Ryan, Ali, come on over
- 21:47here. She was like, oh my god, I guess it probably goes
- 21:48without saying you might be bringing her to the show if you went yes,
- 21:51okay no, And I was like telling her what we were going to do.
- 21:52She was like, who's pink nos pink? Allie? Allie, Alie?
- 21:59Where do you go to school? Chaney? Cheney? All right?
- 22:03Who would be an artist that you would be like? Yeah, exciting,
- 22:07Yeah, who's the hot person you're listening to? This? It's not like
- 22:08Drizzy Drake or anybody rappers. Some rapper I wouldn't listen to. All Right,
- 22:17Well are you ready for this? I mean, Ali, have you
- 22:19prepared to yourself to carry you on this little pike? Is Pike gonna go
- 22:23to Cheney Middle School at all this morning? He will? All right,
- 22:26he's gonna have the drop off zone. I love it. He gets to
- 22:30take a vacation. Where are you guys headed. We're going to Winona,
- 22:33Minnesota over Memorial Weekend. So we're gonna we'll take you one place that we're
- 22:38taking you as beaver Bottom, beaver well Wells. First. I love this.
- 22:45I love the southeast part of the state. That's what I'm saying.
- 22:47I love. I just drove up through there. I came from Florida,
- 22:48So stop anywhere fun or have you been, like stayed have you stayed there?
- 22:52I didn't stay, but I've been through and it's a no. It's
- 22:56like you feel like you're in a different part of the country, but it's
- 22:57still in the zone. It's crazy, lots of cool things down there.
- 23:00So you're going to show you that town as well. I love that.
- 23:03This is gonna be great. And again we're gonna give you these pike heads
- 23:06and you big one all the way. I'll tell right after Memorial Day weekend
- 23:11to be a showing pike all around. Really, the country at this point
- 23:15is wherever your guys are going. Whoever shows the most on social media and
- 23:18has some fun with it. We're gonna hookare with those third rowping tickets,
- 23:22you guys. I'm so excited. All right, we are excited as well.
- 23:23Frek and Testant three. Give it up, guys, and we're off.
- 23:29We're pike in the town for pink third row tickets. Do you love
- 23:30the idea? I feel like we need to get them, like all running
- 23:33out of the building, amazing race. Yeah, today's variety, Big Natty
- 23:38eight point seven. As we know, we started the show just on Monday,
- 23:41so we're just wrapping up for first week. And I feel like a
- 23:45lot of people wait till a year to get a performance review, and so
- 23:48what you just suck for a year and then you figure it out. Now.
- 23:51Yeah, I want my performance review to me today, and I think
- 23:53you are the perfect person to give it. All right, So after one
- 23:56week of working with me in Amanda, give me one good thing, give
- 24:00me a positive, right, build me up, and then give me a
- 24:03negative and tear me down. Okay, all right, are you ready?
- 24:06Yeah, I'm ready. Look at her, she's really eager to go.
- 24:08This was not a hard task for her. What's long or the positive list
- 24:12or the bad one? The good one? Okay? Good? Yeah,
- 24:15no, off to a great I let me have it. Okay. So
- 24:18my first positive is you've been very like try. I appreciate that you've been
- 24:23trying to get to know me and like doing icebreakers and everything, taking all
- 24:27the time to get to know you. That's a really good bullet. Okay,
- 24:30I'm doing my best. You're very interesting, so it's easy. Thank
- 24:33you. You are too Pike. Oh you don't mean that cute cute?
- 24:38You know, I'm looking at this picture over this cardboard cut out of here.
- 24:41Oh yeah for Pike, the town for pain. You know your hair
- 24:44is all slicked bat nicely rooms. You kind of need a haircut. You're
- 24:48not gonna lie. His beard is getting a little while. You sound like
- 24:52my wife. No, I know I've looked disgusting. I know I'm all
- 24:56clean shaven or not really, but no, I have a haircut next Friday.
- 25:00Good, Okay, I'll get a haircut. Yeah, it gets safe
- 25:03to say. Golf got in the way this week and so he wasn't able
- 25:06to you know, well, I'm wearing a hat every day anyway, So
- 25:07I really don't care. All right. I feel terrible about that. Do
- 25:11you have any other positives? Yeah, I appreciate that you are a musician
- 25:15and that you will enjoy music, because I love music. I'm not a
- 25:18musician, but well, i'm hardily I'm either I'm in a band. A
- 25:21lot of people think like, oh, you're in a band, you must
- 25:22be great a guitar and you can sing. Not really any of those things.
- 25:26Well, is one of the negatives that he says he's in a band
- 25:27all the time. Did that not make the list? Mandy was like one
- 25:32of our first groupies. By the way, Well it was low standards in
- 25:37my standards of gotten a little higher. I guess I'm kiddy. All right.
- 25:41Well, another negative has to do with the music. Again. I
- 25:45was expecting some more saxophone. There's no Sacksman. Yeah, to be fair,
- 25:49I guess we did really hype it up, like the Sacksman is coming
- 25:52back, and there's been zero saxophone. I know everyone on Facebook and stuff
- 25:56was talking about like who is a Saxman coming back? I'm like, well,
- 25:59guys, I did more than that. A well, of course you
- 26:00did, and you've been bringing it. But I yeah, I feel like
- 26:03we're gonna maybe next week we need dust off the sacks Maybe intern Gracie,
- 26:07you'll be the first victim we'll see. Maybe that might make things work.
- 26:11Did the performance review this week because that could get a little dicey? All
- 26:15right? One more positive and negative for my performance review. Positive, it's
- 26:19been really fun to like, we did the undercover stuff the other day and
- 26:26you put that video together. You do really good at like putting things together
- 26:29really quickly. Yeah, I tear things apart, I put them together.
- 26:32Yeah. Yeah, good Handymand if you will not around the house. Yeah.
- 26:37Meanwhile, it's going in turn Rambo to put his TV up. But
- 26:40there's that. I hire a guy to hang a picture. All right,
- 26:44one more negative. You know, I was kind of expecting you to be
- 26:47a little taller. But I also heard, you know, find them on
- 26:51the shot side. But I didn't know what you know. Yeah, I'm
- 26:52want to leave the studio. I'm sorry. Yeah, a lot of people
- 26:56say that I don't think it'd be taller. What were you imagining? I
- 26:59guess I forgot to tell her. We don't discuss height. We can discuss
- 27:03it. We just need to be tasted. And now Pike's gonna just be
- 27:06upset. Yeah, I'm not very tall. If you if you just started
- 27:07listening a couple of years ago, who's this guy? Well, just so
- 27:10you know, I'm not very tall. So if I ever see you out
- 27:11and about, you don't have to be like, oh I thought you'd be
- 27:14tall. Oh that guy, Yeah you get that. A lot. These
- 27:18boots give me a little extra inches. Hey, Google, head up to
- 27:25any one, Hey, Google, whatever your gonna life. His name is
- 27:27tellatively, maybe eight point seven. I am familiar dust dust dust, See
- 27:41if I remember the words when I'm looking for dust, something like that happy
- 27:48Harry's bottle shout, Why it's berry slicker beery. When he's here, it's
- 27:55always dusting. Damn you. I mean, do you remember what you're supposed
- 28:00to do next? Oh? Yeah, I would go on with the list
- 28:03of like deed defense, Uh, next week, I got it next,
- 28:07Yeah, Dustin from half hears. It is so good to see him.
- 28:11Hey, Pike, good to see you. We connected when we stayed in
- 28:12touch. Be a snapchat? Oh yeah, that's got to be brutal.
- 28:15It's the only social media that I actually do, and I don't do it
- 28:18well. But once in a while Pike would send something from Florida and I'd
- 28:22I'd say, living your best life or your nice work or whatever. And
- 28:26but now he's really living his best life. Is his home. Now he's
- 28:29back, We'll go ahead. Well, you know, it's funny like the
- 28:33Pike and Amanda Show. When I first started doing this, it was Amanda
- 28:38and it was you. Oh no way, yes, remember it was before
- 28:42Jesse it even was even a thing. Yeah, but he wasn't even born
- 28:47we were doing half hearas room Fest and one of the radio the other station
- 28:51that Amanda was on, and you were on, and man, it was
- 28:53like, hey, hey, do you want to come on and you know,
- 28:56maybe talk about stuff like you did years passing at another station, And
- 28:59I said maybe, And I remember you wanted to try whiskey, and I
- 29:03think I brought Jamison Irish whiskey and I was like, all right, now,
- 29:07just slow your roll, sip at, taste it whatever else. I
- 29:10kind of felt like I was your your alcohol spirit mentors. What you really
- 29:15have been that for all of us? What do you what do you call
- 29:17the at a birth? Was a person that kind of hangs out and helps
- 29:19the duela. You're like my alcohol I remember. Do you remember what I
- 29:25did with that Jamison? I don't. I came back the next week and
- 29:27I said, Dustin, me and my roommate who we just saw chow.
- 29:30We took shots of it and threw it up immediately into gosh disappointed. He
- 29:37he's been very disappointed at us, probably a lot of along the way as
- 29:41well, but we've had a lot of fun. So Dustin is still sticking
- 29:42around. Yeah, I love it. So you've got a haul. We
- 29:45were just at Happy here. He's one of my first stops when I got
- 29:47into town. I picked Lauren up some wine. Nice, thank you.
- 29:51I'm sorry I missed you guys. I was in a never any zoom call.
- 29:53But you know, before you left in the meeting shot before he left,
- 30:00it was like COVID had just started it kind of like, oh,
- 30:03this is a thing. Then you were gone, and then now you come
- 30:04back. COVID's done. But I still get the residual. They didn't get
- 30:07them calls. They didn't get it down in Florida. They didn't hide oh
- 30:15man on a happier times. Yes. Uh so like it was when you
- 30:19were here before Friday's new and Fund's kind of been the thing for the last
- 30:25umpteen years. Uh. We're gonna start with Beers's fun beers beer, and
- 30:29I remember Pike used to be my fun beer guy because he would drink the
- 30:32beers. I mean, he's still wearing the Fargo Brewing Company had. It's
- 30:36kind of funny. I look like the mask on. Well, then we'll
- 30:38start with this. Fargo Brewering has her l Jeff a Mexican lime logger.
- 30:41This is good. You're thinking this so May. We just had Sinking to
- 30:45Maya summertime limes Mexican beers fresh fresh. Yeah. I love the sound of
- 30:52that. So that's one for you right away, Pike, Okay, embrace
- 30:55it, love it? How sweet it? What's the Profile's it very sweet
- 30:59or subtle? More like like citrus? Just crisp, refreshing. Um.
- 31:03I mean they're always very even or I shouldn't say even. They're very delicate
- 31:07with you know, if they're gonna throw a flavor in there, they don't
- 31:10just crush that flavor out, which is what you don't want. You want
- 31:12that subtlety. You want that elegance. You want it to be funds.
- 31:15I still want it to be a beer exactly with the side of lime exactly.
- 31:18So I think you like that one. Next we have Shiner's text Hecks.
- 31:22This is their Deserts dozen Variety pack. This is if you like your
- 31:27hops and you like your IPAs. There's a hoppy pack. Yeah, this
- 31:30is one if you if you just want a general lager, skip this one.
- 31:34But if you want to be challenged a little bit, there's Brujas Brew.
- 31:37There's Desert Mirage, Hazy Ipa. There's Twin Dream Double IPA, and
- 31:41there's Wicked Haze double Hazy IPA. So oh wow, ab see double and
- 31:47hazy and ipa. Yeah, that's gonna tell you. There's some weight to
- 31:51that one. That one's nine and a half percent ABV so it's got yeah,
- 31:56it's got some girth to it. So because slow your role in that
- 31:59one now and turned Gracie as soon as you walked, and she's like,
- 32:01oh my gosh, I've seen these all over TikTok and right away I'm like,
- 32:04whoa this flavor? Because I stocked up on him a lot. Was
- 32:07that last summer? That was last summer the Chorus Seltzers with the Orange dream
- 32:12pop yep. So they relaunched them this year, and they relaunched them under
- 32:16not Cores but under Vizzy. Oh so that's a Chorus product. Yeahs Coors
- 32:22owns Usy. I gotta try this. I know now we've got little cups
- 32:25inside. We are really challenging or like you know, people loved it,
- 32:29like why would you take cores off it and put it in the busy brand?
- 32:31And they had to change it right a little bit yea by law,
- 32:36but they didn't change it very much at all. Like it's good. Minor
- 32:39minor fraction of something got removed or what I mean. It's been a while
- 32:43since I've had one. It feels a little bit more orangey. Maybe I'm
- 32:45wrong, but it's good. It's refreshing. I love it. It's orange.
- 32:47For if you love the Cores orange Seltzers last year, you're gonna love
- 32:53the Visy orange cream pop Seltzers. That's when you throw that in with like
- 32:58sunny d and you do you just get a big, cool party. Yes,
- 33:02throw it all together. It's nice, just a grabbing go. I
- 33:06mean between that the sunny Ds the Fresca cann cocktails. I mean, there's
- 33:09so many legitimately fun, good canned cocktails. I did. I wasn't here
- 33:14for the Fresca and that exists the Fresca. The Fresca. It tastes like
- 33:17fresh. It is ridiculous. It is so if you love fresca, that's
- 33:21a jam in a can. I mean, it's so good. I'll see
- 33:23you later today. I mean to the point where it actually they ran out
- 33:27of the regular so we had the variety packs, we had their Paloma,
- 33:30but we were out of the regular Fresca. And I was like, what
- 33:32I was gonna say, I don't mind the other flavors, but the original
- 33:36fresca for me. Yeah, that one's dangerous, so you have to try
- 33:38that. I'm going to uh for some spirits twisted tea, which everybody knows
- 33:43in the in the twelve pack cans. Yeah, you know your beers.
- 33:46They did a collaborative, so now they're doing a twisted tea sweet tea whiskey.
- 33:51Oh. I feel like my stepdad is going to love this. Would
- 33:53you add a little lemonade to it? Then I would add lemonade. You
- 33:57could just snip it on the rocks with a little water or whatever your your
- 34:00whatever food at your boat if you like twisted tea. This is twisted tea,
- 34:04sweet tea whiskey summertime. Um next, No, it's been a while
- 34:09since I brought an absolute flavor. Yeah, this one came out and we
- 34:14all smelled it initially and we're like, this is really good. You can
- 34:17take the top off that and smell it from a foot of white air freshmen
- 34:22absolute wild berry, and it is. I mean it is. It's one
- 34:28of those rare things. When you smell it, you're like it takes you
- 34:30to a childhood experience of smelling something. It is just fun. Simple.
- 34:37The recipe that comes on the bottle with a little young tag thing one part
- 34:42absolute wild bairry, four parts lemonade, top of soda. I was just
- 34:45gonna say, I mean a little lemonade, you know, like a sprite
- 34:47remix. Basically, have a bachelorette party thing? What do you do this?
- 34:54Friends are getting married, some bridal package, facials, all that fun
- 34:59stuff I love. Could I drink that on ice? Could I just pour
- 35:02that over some ice? You You could just something about da wakas or you
- 35:07know, you want a little something in there. When I was twenty one,
- 35:09I got the idea that drinking absolutely on ice was like a cool,
- 35:14classy thing to do. So I started doing it at parties, and I
- 35:16stopped doing it very shortly because because the parties ended very quickly. You were,
- 35:22you were done. You were, I mean my my fifteen minute break,
- 35:24five minutes into my shift. Yeah, and wine? What do you
- 35:30got wine? So Prairie Burrier out of South Dakota. Uh. During COLVID,
- 35:35I don't know what happened. It was like everything else, supply chain
- 35:37blah blah blah. They had to stop selling their wines in a North Dakota
- 35:43and they had quite a following. Now they're back okay and this red red
- 35:50ass rhubarb is their their top skew. People love it, people have been
- 35:52asking for it. It's finally back in a North Dakota. There you go.
- 35:57So everybody that loves prairie barrier from South Dakota, they're back, okay.
- 36:01Um a couple of fun new wines that came in, Uh Sam simeon
- 36:07their past Robay Savian Blanc is just really fresh and clean. Different than New
- 36:10Zealand Savian Blanc. You're not gonna get that grassiness. You're gonna get more
- 36:13great fruit melon. Um. This is you know, if you're having I'll
- 36:16take fruits over grass any day. Like when they like the I mean the
- 36:22New Zealand Savian blocks are fun, but sometimes it's like you mold your lawn
- 36:25with your mouth open and no bag, Like it's just like it's just grass
- 36:29and grass. Yeah. So I mean this is like you have you know,
- 36:34like fish, deep fried fish, but instead of having a bunch of
- 36:37butter, you put like you squeeze a lemon on top of it. Probably
- 36:39be fun with this, Yes, Madelena, this is a nice one.
- 36:44This is one that we we had for the YWC Women of the Year event.
- 36:47Uhde Madelena Riboli, her family is been She's been a pioneer in the
- 36:53wine industry as a woman in California. For you know, she's one hundred
- 36:57years old plus. Um Riboli Wines their big brand that everybody knows is Stellar
- 37:05Rosa. Okay, they were making serious, legitimate wine for decades and decades.
- 37:08It's Madeline and Chardonnay's from Monterey. It's really pretty. It's a nice
- 37:12Chardoney, if you're going to be doing some chicken on the tragger, are
- 37:15gonna just have cheese and crackers, a little shooy tray or something. This
- 37:19is she's one hundred, she's still doing it. She's well, she's not
- 37:23physically doing but she's not stop around. But I mean, it was fun
- 37:27to have this wine. That's why they see women because she was a pioneer
- 37:32in the in the industry. Makes Grahama Milli look like a girl. And
- 37:37the last one this i've Summit Lake is the first winery, first winery trip
- 37:45I ever went to in Napa Valley. I went to Summer Lake. Oh
- 37:46really, Bob and Sue Brakesman hosted us at their place. Literally, they
- 37:52answered the door, we came and we had dinner with them. That's cool.
- 37:54This is like bed and breakfast. Yes, they were friends with Kim
- 37:58Holmes, who was founded Sam Restaurant, the first white tablecloth in Grand Forks.
- 38:02The story goes way back. We haven't had Summit Lake in North Dakota
- 38:05in twenty plus years. Last year, I'm mount in Napa at this taste
- 38:08and they had these very small producers and I meet this gal named Gretchen Brakesman,
- 38:14and she has a winery called Red Thread. And I said, Brakesman,
- 38:19do you know Bob and Sue Brisman. She's like, they're my parents.
- 38:22I'm like, no, my goodness. I'm like, how are they
- 38:23doing well? Her mom passed away two thousand and three, but blah,
- 38:25blah blah. She was my sister in law runs Summit Lake. So we
- 38:30got the band back together and I did an order that finally got here of
- 38:34Summit Lake can Fandel which we used to carry. That was one of Kim's
- 38:37wines. We brought the Red Thread wines and we're arout the Summit Lake Port,
- 38:40which I tried the inaugural port they made out of the barrel that night
- 38:45at Summit Lake in eighteen ninety eight. So this whole Nostelli family reunion here.
- 38:49Yeah. So if you're if you like a big state bottled Zifidel from
- 38:53Hall Malt, which is very unique, Okay, and you're thinking ribs,
- 38:57just something, oh yeah, ribs, or even a great steak, because
- 39:00this isn't gonna be that sloppy seven Deadli's in style. This is gonna be
- 39:04deep, rich in tense fruit. I mean, this would hold up to
- 39:07a great steak all day long. You ever had a sloppy steaks where you
- 39:10like pour water on the sneak? I saw a video, but it seems
- 39:15it's delicious. If you want to find out more about this, all you
- 39:19gotta do is go to our Facebook page. We're gonna have all of these
- 39:21products on there, and as always, people are gearing up. It's already
- 39:23gonna be Memorial Day weekend. Next day is go check out all the new
- 39:25and front products. Dustin welcome back. You know what I think? Because
- 39:30the song, you know it's time to freshen it up. Maybe, um,
- 39:34I know four other guys were actually in a band together, coincidentally called
- 39:37low Standards. Maybe we could come up with anyone. All right, what
- 39:39would you do? I'm open to Dustin's ready to change this theme song because
- 39:44people still I think go into Happy Harry' bottle shops, going go to all
- 39:49these basketball games over the years with my kids activities, and I'll meet a
- 39:52parent group or whatever in the lake. No, no, no, I'm
- 39:54like, maybe we could just do a remake, right like you, a
- 39:58remix version of that. It's You're back, you guys rocket, however you
- 40:00want it, Thank you, Dustin Dust Invite
