- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Well, Ill, just after six o'clock here on this Monday morning,
- 0:05Speaker 2: we are back Baby, Ricky, Zach and man O. Good morning,
- 0:08Speaker 2: Happy New Year. All the things Ricky Sanchez has.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Those three things Harry's styles. He's sparked new album rumors
- 0:16Speaker 3: over the weekend. He dropped a YouTube video called Forever
- 0:19Speaker 3: Forever on Saturday. It shows footage from his final Love
- 0:23Speaker 3: on Tour concert, but at the end of the eight
- 0:26Speaker 3: minute video, there's a text overlay that says, quote we
- 0:30Speaker 3: Belong Together. So Harry's last album came out three years ago,
- 0:33Speaker 3: fans think he's due for another, and they think this
- 0:36Speaker 3: is his way of announcing that he is working on
- 0:39Speaker 3: it and it is coming to us very soon. Obviously,
- 0:42Speaker 3: I'll keep you updated if anything else comes out, specifically
- 0:45Speaker 3: from Harry himself, because nothing is actually legitimate until he
- 0:49Speaker 3: says it's legitimate. But we belong Together. I mean it's
- 0:52Speaker 3: a little fishy. I think it means something's coming, even
- 0:54Speaker 3: if it's not music. End Dot's Christmas tree recycling program
- 0:58Speaker 3: is underway for anyone to getting rid of their real tree.
- 1:02Speaker 4: I reiterate real tree, not the fake ones. These are
- 1:05Speaker 4: for the real ones.
- 1:06Speaker 3: There are fourteen drop off sites across Davidson County in
- 1:09Speaker 3: places like Frederick Douglas Park, Cedar Hill Park, and plenty
- 1:13Speaker 3: more options all up on their website. All locations are
- 1:16Speaker 3: going to be operating through Friday, February thirteenth, so you
- 1:20Speaker 3: don't have to get there right away, but you do
- 1:22Speaker 3: have to get there by the thirteenth in order for
- 1:23Speaker 3: them to recycle them.
- 1:24Speaker 4: The trees have to be.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Bare, so no ornaments or stands or anything like that,
- 1:29Speaker 3: just the tree. And Trader Joe's is now making prebiotic sodas.
- 1:35Speaker 3: It comes in two flavors, cherry Cola and strawberry vanilla.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Big Trader joe shoppers all notice that the cans were
- 1:41Speaker 3: listed online, and then they flooded social media, obviously to
- 1:45Speaker 3: share the news. They're expected to roll out nationwide soon.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Best part is that they're staying affordable, just like anything
- 1:51Speaker 3: from Trader Joe's, and they're just a dollar ninety nine perkin,
- 1:55Speaker 3: which is drastically less than a lot of the other
- 1:57Speaker 3: prebiotic sodas that you find out. There is fun stuff.
- 2:01Speaker 3: I'm Sanchez and those are the three things you need to.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Know, Ricky. Thank you so much. How's it feel to
- 2:05Speaker 2: be back your first three things in a while.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I almost forgot what my ends tagline was for a second.
- 2:10Speaker 4: I was like, oh my like, my mind literally went
- 2:12Speaker 4: blank there. Kevin. Yeah, and then my body just took
- 2:15Speaker 4: over and said what I needed to say.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Muscle memory. Yeah, bare way us as we kind of
- 2:20Speaker 2: ease back into this thing. It's been a few weeks
- 2:22Speaker 2: for us, so I'm sure you can relate at your job.
- 2:24Speaker 2: But here we go, Taylor Swift, thank you for that. Ricky,
- 2:28Speaker 2: we do have Demi Levato tickets on the way for
- 2:30Speaker 2: the first caller. You can get those in about ten
- 2:32Speaker 2: minutes right here. Wake up happy with the Ricky, Zach
- 2:36Speaker 2: and Manno in the morning. One pull Kevin right now.
- 2:40Speaker 3: This is the first first caller of the day, of
- 2:44Speaker 3: the day of the week of.
- 2:45Speaker 4: The year this year on one oh seven five the River.
- 2:49Speaker 5: Kevin is so happy at first, and.
- 2:51Speaker 4: He's so happy that I brought it up.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I am, I am.
- 2:54Speaker 3: We have Demi Levato tickets for you. She's gonna be
- 2:56Speaker 3: a bridge Stone Arena on April fourteenth. If you are
- 2:59Speaker 3: the first caller of the day, you're getting them.
- 3:00Speaker 2: First caller of the year six one five seven, three,
- 3:03Speaker 2: seven nine seven. That is something to be proud of.
- 3:05Speaker 2: We're chatting with your next first caller of the year
- 3:07Speaker 2: right here on the river one.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Minnow in the morning.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Ed Sharon, it's camera. It's one oh seven five the river,
- 3:16Speaker 2: saying good morning on this fifth day of January to
- 3:19Speaker 2: our first caller of the day, the first caller of
- 3:21Speaker 2: the week, the first caller of the year. It's Rick
- 3:24Speaker 2: and Mount Juliet. How you doing, buddy, I'm doing fantastic.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Are you any way to work right now?
- 3:28Speaker 1: Yes?
- 3:29Speaker 4: What do you do?
- 3:30Speaker 5: Rick?
- 3:31Speaker 6: I am a private duty home canners.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Rick.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I feel like we've stuken to you before.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Sounds familiar.
- 3:37Speaker 6: Yes, I talked to you last year around April or May.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Okay, the boys sounded familiar. I, you know, Rick sounds familiar.
- 3:45Speaker 3: But also that's my dad's name. So that's why I
- 3:47Speaker 3: was like, maybe I'm just thinking of my dad.
- 3:49Speaker 7: Rick.
- 3:50Speaker 5: I got to know really quickly, what's your new Year's resolution.
- 3:53Speaker 6: I am actually going to run for office in Wilson
- 3:55Speaker 6: County for the eighteenth district for commission.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Go vote for Rick.
- 4:01Speaker 2: We know nothing about his politics or his stance on anything.
- 4:04Speaker 2: But he listens to us and he's a good man.
- 4:06Speaker 4: That's a really big New Year's resolution.
- 4:09Speaker 6: Though, ye if I figure out, I keep watching the
- 4:11Speaker 6: movies and getting up to that. But you can't make
- 4:13Speaker 6: a difference if you don't actually put for another.
- 4:17Speaker 4: So true Ray would vote for you. Zach is over
- 4:21Speaker 4: here ready to vote. He can't, but he's ready.
- 4:23Speaker 5: I will can for you.
- 4:26Speaker 6: Well, you've got family Mountain Juiette. Tell him the vote
- 4:28Speaker 6: for me. Yeah.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Hey, Rick, if you're running like political ads on TV
- 4:32Speaker 2: or something, can one of your little soundbites when you
- 4:33Speaker 2: turn to camera be I was the first caller of
- 4:35Speaker 2: the year this year on one. I'm seven five the river.
- 4:39Speaker 6: If I can, if I can actually get a campaign manager,
- 4:42Speaker 6: I'll have.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Him do that. Thank you.
- 4:44Speaker 5: It sounds like a good deal to me.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Rick.
- 4:46Speaker 3: We are very excited for you to pursue your very
- 4:49Speaker 3: big New Year's resolutions.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Mine feels very small right now compared. But I'm really
- 4:54Speaker 4: excited for you.
- 4:55Speaker 3: We're all really excited for you here every he's acamana
- 4:57Speaker 3: in the morning, and we're even more excited for you
- 4:59Speaker 3: because you're the first caller of the day. You get
- 5:01Speaker 3: tickets to go see Demi Levado at Bridstone Arena on
- 5:04Speaker 3: April fourteenth.
- 5:05Speaker 6: And you know why it's so great that this happens
- 5:07Speaker 6: because I will be fifty years old on April fourteenth.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Is that your day?
- 5:11Speaker 6: My fiftieth birthday?
- 5:12Speaker 2: Oh mayor Rick and a celebrated.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:16Speaker 6: I've been trying, like the last time you gave away
- 5:19Speaker 6: a ticket, because I think that'd be the greatest fiftieth
- 5:21Speaker 6: birthday present ever.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, well then even more, this is just
- 5:24Speaker 3: honestly the greatest I think first caller of the year
- 5:27Speaker 3: we could have had.
- 5:27Speaker 4: There's so many things to be excited about.
- 5:29Speaker 5: The epitome of speak it into fruition is happy right now?
- 5:32Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I have so much fun, happy very early fiftieth birthday.
- 5:38Speaker 3: In case we don't talk to you, and we look
- 5:40Speaker 3: forward to seeing you, know how your endeavors go this year?
- 5:43Speaker 6: And I was like, thank you all so much. I
- 5:44Speaker 6: love you and listened to you every morning.
- 5:46Speaker 4: We love you.
- 5:49Speaker 6: All right.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I hope he keeps us a breast as to what's
- 5:52Speaker 2: happening with his political efforts.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Did you say breast because it felt political of you
- 5:57Speaker 3: to say that, like.
- 5:57Speaker 2: It was my year's resolution? To say, breath the air, Kevin,
- 6:02Speaker 2: get away from me. On seven five the River, Good morning,
- 6:08Speaker 2: we are here, we are live back this morning. I
- 6:10Speaker 2: do want to take a second. Ricky and Zach have
- 6:12Speaker 2: been gracious enough to give me the floor for a
- 6:14Speaker 2: few minutes to just kind of open up about something.
- 6:16Speaker 2: You know, ninety nine percent of the time we like
- 6:18Speaker 2: to have fun and be goofy around here. But every
- 6:20Speaker 2: once in a while, when real life things happen, we
- 6:22Speaker 2: like to share those.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Well, yeah, we like to share them because we're human too,
- 6:26Speaker 3: and we all like to be there for each other.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Everybody goes three things.
- 6:28Speaker 2: We got to talk about it. Love, this family, this
- 6:31Speaker 2: community here. So there is something going on. It just
- 6:34Speaker 2: happened to me, my family personally. So just give me
- 6:36Speaker 2: a second, give me a couple of minutes, and I'll
- 6:38Speaker 2: tell you what's going on. We'll do that next on
- 6:40Speaker 2: the River.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Mannow in the morning.
- 6:45Speaker 3: We're gonna get a little serious right now. On Ricky,
- 6:47Speaker 3: Zach and Mano in the morning. On one O seven
- 6:49Speaker 3: five the River, Kevin had explained just a few minutes
- 6:52Speaker 3: ago that him and his family went through something during
- 6:55Speaker 3: the holiday break, and he wants to kind of, you know,
- 6:58Speaker 3: talk about.
- 6:58Speaker 4: It a little bit.
- 6:59Speaker 3: We're here for each each other, We support each other
- 7:01Speaker 3: and everything, and even though we like to keep things
- 7:04Speaker 3: light and happy and exciting, sometimes things just happen.
- 7:07Speaker 4: So go ahead, keV, thank you.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yeah. I just I thought maybe it'd be a little
- 7:10Speaker 2: cathartic to open up and get it off my chest.
- 7:12Speaker 2: But on Friday, our dog, Owen, took a little turn
- 7:16Speaker 2: for the worse. He's been sick for a while. He
- 7:18Speaker 2: had a brain tumor that we were trying to treat,
- 7:20Speaker 2: and honestly, we extended his life. I feel like a year.
- 7:22Speaker 2: We had like an extra year with him. But he
- 7:24Speaker 2: really took a turn on Friday, seemingly out of nowhere,
- 7:28Speaker 2: and we had to rush him off to like the
- 7:29Speaker 2: emergency VET, and we had to ultimately make the decision
- 7:32Speaker 2: to say goodbye to him on Saturday, just this past Saturday.
- 7:35Speaker 2: So it's been a lot. I'm not here to get
- 7:37Speaker 2: all emotional. I mean, everybody goes through things. A lot
- 7:39Speaker 2: of people have been there, but it's just it's a
- 7:42Speaker 2: really you guys around here, I'm kind of known as
- 7:45Speaker 2: the robot. I never cry. We make jokes about that.
- 7:47Speaker 2: All the time. But ooh, boy, have the floodgates open.
- 7:49Speaker 2: It's just it's been tough. We've had him for twelve
- 7:52Speaker 2: and a half years. My kids are nine and seven.
- 7:54Speaker 2: They've never known life without him. We knew this was coming.
- 7:57Speaker 2: We could not have imagined how hard it would be
- 7:59Speaker 2: when it actually did happen. It's been very hard. All
- 8:03Speaker 2: the little things, coming home to an empty house, eating
- 8:06Speaker 2: and he's not right there by your feet making popcorn,
- 8:08Speaker 2: He's not in your face, all these little things. If
- 8:10Speaker 2: you've been there, I know a lot of people have
- 8:11Speaker 2: been there, you know how hard that is. And I
- 8:14Speaker 2: told Ricky and Zach I didn't want to get all
- 8:15Speaker 2: emotional and cry on the radio, but I just wanted
- 8:18Speaker 2: to use the opportunity to just remind everybody just to
- 8:23Speaker 2: enjoy every day and to hug the people that mean
- 8:25Speaker 2: a lot to you, whether that's a pet, or a
- 8:26Speaker 2: family member or a friend. Just to not take anything
- 8:30Speaker 2: for granted. And that's what my wife and I are
- 8:32Speaker 2: trying to, you know, tell our kids right now. And
- 8:35Speaker 2: I just wanted to open up, get it off my chest,
- 8:37Speaker 2: be a little cathartic here on the radio for me,
- 8:39Speaker 2: a little therapeutic. So thank you for listening. Ricky and Zach,
- 8:42Speaker 2: thank you for the opportunity. I know you both knew
- 8:44Speaker 2: Owen my dog and you loved him, and.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Oh we both he's a good boy.
- 8:49Speaker 8: I will say, you guys gave him the absolute best
- 8:51Speaker 8: life on the entire planet. So he is so lucky
- 8:54Speaker 8: to have you, guys, and to live with you in
- 8:57Speaker 8: the last twelve and a half year. So yeah, like
- 9:00Speaker 8: that was you guys gave him the best life completely possible,
- 9:03Speaker 8: and he.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Gave us heaven.
- 9:04Speaker 2: He gave us the best life. It was reciprocal. And
- 9:06Speaker 2: we love him, Owen. If you can hear me, I
- 9:08Speaker 2: know you can. We love you. Thank you for everything,
- 9:10Speaker 2: Thank you for all the years, and everybody again, just
- 9:12Speaker 2: that reminder to uh not take it for granted as
- 9:15Speaker 2: we headed into this new year. Just a nice reminder
- 9:17Speaker 2: for everybody.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I know, you're gonna make me emotional, get this emotional,
- 9:22Speaker 3: and you're making me feel emotional right now.
- 9:25Speaker 2: It's been I don't even remember life before him. But
- 9:28Speaker 2: we're gonna we're gonna move on. I know that the
- 9:30Speaker 2: freshness of all of this pain will eventually subside, but
- 9:34Speaker 2: right now it hurts a lot. And I am happy
- 9:36Speaker 2: to be back here with you guys, happy to have
- 9:38Speaker 2: you in my life. So thank you both very much.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I love you, We love you, love you.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Why does that make me one?
- 9:45Speaker 5: We love you?
- 9:48Speaker 7: Really?
- 9:48Speaker 2: I did not want to make this like a sound pest.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I just wanted to just remind everybody how precious life is.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And that's that's that's what I've done here. So thank
- 9:55Speaker 2: you guys for the opportunity three things. All right, let's
- 9:59Speaker 2: go just after havn' clock on this Monday morning. Thank
- 10:01Speaker 2: you for being here starting your brand new year with us.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Ricky's got those three things.
- 10:05Speaker 3: SNL has announced who we can expect to host and
- 10:08Speaker 3: perform for their first show of the year.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Finn Wolfhart, you know, for Stranger Things.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Obviously they're having a big moment right now with the finale,
- 10:16Speaker 3: like the finale of all finales because it's done done now,
- 10:19Speaker 3: so obviously this is a big moment for them, and
- 10:22Speaker 3: he's so he's gonna host asap, Rocky is going to perform. Cool,
- 10:26Speaker 3: So that's what you can expect for the first show
- 10:28Speaker 3: of the year. It's happening in January seventeenth. I'm really
- 10:30Speaker 3: curious to see Finn host. Like, the idea of him
- 10:34Speaker 3: hosting SNL seems like a big feat. It's a big
- 10:36Speaker 3: feet for anybody. But I've never seen him really in
- 10:38Speaker 3: anything other than Stranger Things.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I'm in Ghostbusters, Okay, yes.
- 10:42Speaker 4: So I'm like curious to see how he handles this.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Yeah, Jerry Seinfeld is bringing his comedy tour to First
- 10:48Speaker 3: Bank Amphitheater in Franklin.
- 10:50Speaker 4: The show is going to happen Friday, May eighth.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Tickets are already on sale on First Bank Amphitheater's website
- 10:55Speaker 3: if you're interested in going to see him. I love
- 10:57Speaker 3: the idea of a comedy tour at First Bank Game
- 11:00Speaker 3: Theater because if you've been, it's like massive, and it's
- 11:03Speaker 3: in like this huge area that just looks really cool,
- 11:06Speaker 3: and I've just never thought about the idea of doing
- 11:09Speaker 3: a comedy tour there.
- 11:09Speaker 4: It's always shows that I've seen. So that's happening May eighth.
- 11:13Speaker 3: And apparently gen Z is now calling Karen's Jessica. We
- 11:19Speaker 3: all know who a Karen is, you know, somebody with
- 11:21Speaker 3: that choppy blonde cut. And he likes to complain about
- 11:24Speaker 3: all these things that they shouldn't even really complain about
- 11:26Speaker 3: because it's not really that big of a deal. But
- 11:28Speaker 3: now Karen's around the world can breathe a little bit
- 11:31Speaker 3: because Jessica's taking your place. Gen Z specifically chose this
- 11:35Speaker 3: name because it's popular with gen X and millennials. So
- 11:40Speaker 3: we have now become the age that gets called Karen's.
- 11:43Speaker 4: I mean, now we're Jessica's and men, you might.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Think you're safe, but you're not because if you know this,
- 11:48Speaker 3: I don't know if you do Karen's, the male version
- 11:52Speaker 3: is Ken.
- 11:53Speaker 4: So now Ken's are David's.
- 11:56Speaker 2: So Jessica's Andica David's.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Zachly so excited about this because I cannot wait to
- 12:03Speaker 3: tell my friend.
- 12:06Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you
- 12:08Speaker 4: need to know. Thank you.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Ricky has it a New Year's party with some neighbors
- 12:10Speaker 2: and one of them came to the realization in real
- 12:12Speaker 2: time that she is a Karen or Jessica, because it
- 12:16Speaker 2: came up just organically that like she's like, yeah, I
- 12:18Speaker 2: called the police, and blah blah blah. Were like, you
- 12:19Speaker 2: call the police on this, She's like, yeah, I call
- 12:21Speaker 2: the cops like once every two weeks, so I know
- 12:24Speaker 2: it's not like if somebody's parked weird or something. So
- 12:27Speaker 2: she realized they no longer take you seriously exactly like
- 12:31Speaker 2: what am I, Karen? And yeah, she was a tough
- 12:33Speaker 2: night for her. Thank you, Ricky. Right after Olivia Dean,
- 12:36Speaker 2: we are learning Zach has a fact.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Zach's FAXX next time, Ricky, Zach and mannow in the morning.
- 12:44Speaker 3: I'm so excited for this. I've been waiting so long.
- 12:48Speaker 3: It feels like for this moment. It's Zach's fax on
- 12:50Speaker 3: one of seven five the River.
- 12:51Speaker 8: Well, you don't have to wait any longer, because here
- 12:53Speaker 8: I am, honey. Well, Ricky actually sent me this one
- 12:56Speaker 8: and I thought it was so interesting. But apparently October
- 12:59Speaker 8: thirty one of the year two thousands was the last
- 13:02Speaker 8: time that all of humanity was on Earth.
- 13:04Speaker 5: Since then, there's always been at least one person in space.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Crazy.
- 13:08Speaker 8: Really, Halloween, Halloween of the year two thousand, isn't that crazy?
- 13:13Speaker 2: That is crazy?
- 13:14Speaker 5: When you get where you're going today, tell somebody this
- 13:16Speaker 5: fun family one.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Meadow in the morning.
- 13:22Speaker 3: We want to hear your New Year's resolution on one
- 13:24Speaker 3: oh seven five the River, if you have one, we
- 13:27Speaker 3: want to hear about it. Even if it's like unconventional
- 13:30Speaker 3: or strange or feels like it's not this big thing
- 13:34Speaker 3: we want to hear about it.
- 13:35Speaker 8: Yeah, like I want to learn how to tie my
- 13:37Speaker 8: shoes with my eyes closed.
- 13:38Speaker 4: That's your new year's resolution.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Yeah, can you genuinely not do that? Can you with
- 13:43Speaker 2: your eyes closed?
- 13:45Speaker 4: I think I can do that.
- 13:46Speaker 5: Okay, well that's my new year's resolution.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I'm not making funny that there's gonna be no shade
- 13:50Speaker 2: nothing here of yours is like, Zach, we want to
- 13:52Speaker 2: hear at six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine, one
- 13:54Speaker 2: oh seven, whatever you were trying to accomplish in twenty
- 13:57Speaker 2: twenty six. Shout it out. Let us know.
- 13:59Speaker 1: It's the Ricky Zach and meadow in the morning.
- 14:04Speaker 3: We're talking new Year's resolutions right now. Sandra, our friend
- 14:11Speaker 3: Sandra tell us, you have a new year's resolution, what
- 14:13Speaker 3: is it?
- 14:14Speaker 9: Sharing my faith with other people? Because I look on
- 14:17Speaker 9: TikTok a lot, and there's a lot of people that
- 14:19Speaker 9: are sad and depressed.
- 14:21Speaker 3: There are Yeah, No, there's a lot of people, a
- 14:24Speaker 3: lot of us are going through stuff.
- 14:25Speaker 9: Be nicer to other people, uplift them. It doesn't necessarily
- 14:28Speaker 9: have to be about faith, but just putting a smile
- 14:31Speaker 9: on somebody's face because you never know what another person
- 14:34Speaker 9: is going through.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Sure, Yeah, that's the.
- 14:37Speaker 9: Kind word to make all the difference in the world.
- 14:40Speaker 5: Let's go around the room. What's your favorite thing about
- 14:43Speaker 5: Ricky Zachary.
- 14:45Speaker 7: Oh.
- 14:45Speaker 9: I love her spirit, I love her voice, I love
- 14:48Speaker 9: her Enthusiasmandra.
- 14:50Speaker 5: What's your favorite thing about Kevin?
- 14:52Speaker 9: That he's always positive even when he's said something nice
- 14:57Speaker 9: to say?
- 14:58Speaker 2: Okay, I'm ready for it. Bring it on.
- 15:00Speaker 5: What's your favorite thing about it?
- 15:03Speaker 9: You're my favorite.
- 15:06Speaker 2: That's all you have to say.
- 15:08Speaker 1: You want to you?
- 15:10Speaker 9: Without you, I don't know what I would do.
- 15:13Speaker 2: That's so kind, so sweet.
- 15:18Speaker 6: I love you.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Sure, that's what we do here. We all do that
- 15:20Speaker 2: same thing.
- 15:21Speaker 3: But we know that it's in you know, all in
- 15:23Speaker 3: good fun and we appreciate you so much. Sandra, thank
- 15:26Speaker 3: you for calling in this morning.
- 15:27Speaker 9: Okay, fine, I love love Sandra.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Zach shared his a moment ago he wants to be
- 15:35Speaker 2: able to tie his shoes with his eyes closed, which.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I haven't had time to practice yet.
- 15:40Speaker 4: You haven't practiced at all.
- 15:42Speaker 8: I like to set my bar really low so I
- 15:44Speaker 8: can accomplish something.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I like that. That's a great way to start
- 15:49Speaker 4: the new year.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Is if you have something that's very low bar and
- 15:53Speaker 3: then you start off on a good note.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I like that.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Mine is to scroll less, all of the mindless scrolling
- 15:58Speaker 2: when I scrabbed my phone, scroll for no reason whatsoever,
- 16:01Speaker 2: especially when I'm home with my kids. Why am I
- 16:03Speaker 2: doing that? So yeah, I'm I'm really working on that.
- 16:06Speaker 3: That's a really good one for you, keV, because you
- 16:08Speaker 3: are addicted to that fall problem. It's a real problem.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I've decided, like I have a bunch of things that
- 16:14Speaker 3: I'm trying to focus on this year as opposed to
- 16:17Speaker 3: like a New Year's resolution, one singular thing, but the
- 16:19Speaker 3: biggest one that I want to focus on that we
- 16:22Speaker 3: could call a resolution, I want to take more chances. Okay,
- 16:26Speaker 3: I've been very reserved as I've gotten older.
- 16:29Speaker 5: Have you been skydiving?
- 16:31Speaker 3: I have tried on two accounts, and both times it
- 16:34Speaker 3: didn't work out, And I think that's Universe telling me
- 16:35Speaker 3: that I shouldn't fair. But I want to take more
- 16:38Speaker 3: chances being in my personal life and my professional life,
- 16:42Speaker 3: and I hope that those kind of like turn into fun.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Stories in the end.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm a little more reserved than I used to be,
- 16:48Speaker 3: and I feel like I'm missing.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Something, turning into just an old lady kind of and
- 16:52Speaker 2: I don't want that. Thiss is not my spirit, you know,
- 16:56Speaker 2: old lady rick young wild, Ricky back in here. I
- 16:58Speaker 2: like that taking chances. That's a good one. If you
- 17:00Speaker 2: want to share one six, one, five, seven, three, seven,
- 17:02Speaker 2: nine seven. Doesn't have to be big. It can be
- 17:05Speaker 2: or it can be very small, like tying your shoes
- 17:07Speaker 2: with your eyes close. Whatever it is, we would love to.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Hear Ricky Zach and men in the morning.
- 17:12Speaker 2: On him and Beth Page.
- 17:15Speaker 7: Do you have one yes to find out if you
- 17:18Speaker 7: guys got my Halloween package? Yeah, yay, Because I'm not
- 17:26Speaker 7: on social media. And I told my daughter to d
- 17:28Speaker 7: M Zach and she's like, that's so embarrassing. Oh my god,
- 17:32Speaker 7: it doesn't air.
- 17:34Speaker 5: When I tell you that.
- 17:36Speaker 8: Ricky and I have been like searching for you on
- 17:38Speaker 8: every form of social media and I went there our
- 17:40Speaker 8: entire Like this is probably illegal, but I went through.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Our entire system looking for your information to call you.
- 17:46Speaker 2: It's illegal, but sweet.
- 17:47Speaker 7: I was so excited, and I'm like, oh, they thought
- 17:49Speaker 7: that was pathetic. No, And I'm like I'm I'm an
- 17:54Speaker 7: elderly widow. That's all I could do.
- 17:58Speaker 9: Yay.
- 17:59Speaker 7: Well, when I'm at Zach at the Hot Haunted Halloween thing,
- 18:02Speaker 7: and so I was trying to call after that, I
- 18:04Speaker 7: never got through.
- 18:04Speaker 4: Okay, we're so happy.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I'm literally smiling your ear to ear right now because
- 18:08Speaker 3: we were truly searching for you.
- 18:10Speaker 4: It made our day because you listen every day. You know,
- 18:13Speaker 4: I love Halloween.
- 18:14Speaker 3: And I actually in front of me have the candy
- 18:17Speaker 3: Corn Queen little sign that it's literally right in front
- 18:20Speaker 3: of me at my microphone.
- 18:23Speaker 7: Yay, I'm gonna mail you more stuff once I get
- 18:26Speaker 7: on saying yeah. And and Zach did try to call
- 18:30Speaker 7: Kevin from the Haunt of Halloween Hey Ride and tell
- 18:32Speaker 7: him I don't like him. I was kidding, He's okay.
- 18:36Speaker 9: He didn't answer.
- 18:38Speaker 6: I was sting.
- 18:39Speaker 7: Anna's like, you're gonna have a heart attack of that.
- 18:41Speaker 7: Guy answered. I said, yes, I was.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Well, No, No, I feel great now that you told me.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I'm okay.
- 18:46Speaker 7: Yeah, I looked at the fun You're okay. I take
- 18:49Speaker 7: it back, And it's only because of one interaction I
- 18:53Speaker 7: had on the phone with you like six months ago,
- 18:55Speaker 7: and that was it. No, you were awful because of
- 19:00Speaker 7: the previous call. God.
- 19:03Speaker 8: Well, if it makes you feel any better, Kim, Kevin
- 19:06Speaker 8: is always offered, and that's the most about him.
- 19:10Speaker 6: That's what I'm thinking.
- 19:11Speaker 7: I'm like, I just I didn't give him a chance.
- 19:13Speaker 7: I take it back.
- 19:15Speaker 3: This is honestly a great way to start the new year.
- 19:17Speaker 3: And we hope you have the best day ever.
- 19:20Speaker 7: Yay, I'm off today, so yay me yay, I'm clad.
- 19:23Speaker 7: I got talk to you guys. Have a great day.

- 21:24Speaker 2: state of Michigan. No, you've never heard of Michigan. Okay,
- 21:29Speaker 2: I've heard of it. Not familiar. Would you say Michigan

- 21:37Speaker 2: US twentieth or twenty sixth? Probably then no, I'm sorry,
- 21:44Speaker 2: twenty six that's okay. You probably should have let her
- 21:50Speaker 2: answer that one. Buddy, Here we go. Last question. You
- 21:53Speaker 2: get this right, you win, you get it wrong, you don't.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Lebron James became the youngest player to score two thousand
- 21:58Speaker 2: points in an NBA season when he was twenty or
- 22:01Speaker 2: twenty six.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Mercy, Uh, the youngest, So problem, let's go with the
- 22:09Speaker 1: young Let's go with Twin. Do it? God? Yeah?
- 22:16Speaker 6: Get it?

- 22:42Speaker 2: That's it, man, Thanks for being here, buddy. Congratulations. We're
- 22:46Speaker 2: gonna put you on hold for a minute. Okay, thank you.
- 22:47Speaker 7: Thanks.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Okay, here we go, just after eight o'clock on this
- 22:52Speaker 2: Monday morning, getting back to it, back to real life
- 22:55Speaker 2: for so many of us today, work in school, Here
- 22:57Speaker 2: we are live. Ricky's got those three things.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Hey, In case you missed it.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Second Avenue Downtown has officially reopened. It's been five years
- 23:05Speaker 3: since the Christmas Day bombing that injured eight people and
- 23:07Speaker 3: destroyed part of Second Avenue, so this is huge news
- 23:11Speaker 3: now that.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Area has been fully restored.
- 23:13Speaker 3: It's open to both pedestrians and cars fully at this point.
- 23:16Speaker 3: All great stuff, so happy to hear it. Obviously, there
- 23:19Speaker 3: was a lot of work to be done on the
- 23:21Speaker 3: outside of buildings, but there's also a lot of internal
- 23:23Speaker 3: stuff that needed to be fixed, which is why it
- 23:25Speaker 3: took so long. They also tried to make it so
- 23:27Speaker 3: that a lot of businesses could continue to function while
- 23:30Speaker 3: they were doing all of these improvements and restoration.
- 23:33Speaker 4: So really excited about that. All good stuff.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Dove Cameron and Domiano David from Monaskin are engaged. The
- 23:41Speaker 3: two posted pictures over the weekend of them showing off
- 23:43Speaker 3: the engagement ring. When talking to press earlier last year,
- 23:47Speaker 3: Domiano had raved about his relationship with Dove by saying, quote,
- 23:51Speaker 3: we really understand each other. It's beautiful. It's a blessing.
- 23:54Speaker 3: So congrats to those little cuties. Is a big deal.
- 23:57Speaker 4: So congrats on their engagement.
- 23:59Speaker 3: And A new global survey shows that fewer young drinkers
- 24:02Speaker 3: are signing up for month long sober challenges like Dry January.
- 24:06Speaker 3: So in the UK, participation dropped from thirty three percent
- 24:09Speaker 3: to twenty four percent year over year. Australia saw an
- 24:12Speaker 3: even bigger dip, from thirty nine percent to twenty four percent. France,
- 24:16Speaker 3: Italy and Brazil also had declines. The US stayed mostly flat,
- 24:21Speaker 3: though drinking as a whole is still down across the world.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Sober curious is still a huge thing. It just seems
- 24:27Speaker 3: like the trends like dry January are kind of falling off.
- 24:30Speaker 3: It's kind of like you do it or you don't,
- 24:32Speaker 3: is where it seems like it's going. All three of
- 24:34Speaker 3: us are doing dry January, right.
- 24:35Speaker 6: Yeah, we are.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I'm doing it for the first time ever and so.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Far talking about it and it's it can be tough,
- 24:40Speaker 3: but yeah, so far, so good for all three of us.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Zach and I have tried it before. I pretty much
- 24:44Speaker 4: succeeded last year. I had twelve hours to go and
- 24:47Speaker 4: I had a drink.
- 24:49Speaker 2: You were so close.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I feel like I succeed it.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Okay, this year, I'm going the whole way through Amrie
- 24:55Speaker 3: Sanchez and those are the three things you need to know.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Ricky. I gotta be I mean,
- 24:59Speaker 2: just to be on us for a second, like I've
- 25:01Speaker 2: This is the fifth day of the year. This is
- 25:03Speaker 2: my longest streak in years without drinking. So I'm proud
- 25:06Speaker 2: of myself. Good John, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 25:09Speaker 2: It feels good. I'm happy to be doing.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Manow in the morning.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning on one O
- 25:17Speaker 2: seven five the River. We were texting yesterday Ricky Zach
- 25:20Speaker 2: and myself, and Zach was like, I'd like to talk
- 25:22Speaker 2: on the radio about the best Christmas present, nice and positive,
- 25:25Speaker 2: nice and happy, the best Christmas presents you got? This
- 25:27Speaker 2: is this holiday season. Ricky was like, I want to
- 25:29Speaker 2: talk about the worst present you ever got, in classic
- 25:32Speaker 2: Ricky fashion. So if that's what we're doing, well, this
- 25:35Speaker 2: is the thing.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Okay. I'm sure you all got amazing Christmas gifts and
- 25:38Speaker 3: I'm really happy for you. I got some really good
- 25:40Speaker 3: ones myself, but the worst ones are the ones that'll
- 25:43Speaker 3: make you giggle. Yeah, And that's really what it comes
- 25:45Speaker 3: down to. Because my dad gave me something this year
- 25:49Speaker 3: for Christmas that I was like, I don't understand why
- 25:52Speaker 3: this is the thing.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Was it?
- 25:55Speaker 3: Am I stocking? Am I stocking? I was like getting
- 25:58Speaker 3: excited right because.
- 25:58Speaker 4: I'm pulling things out.
- 25:59Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, oh nice, like bath bomb, very cute.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Bath bomb has cash in it, which.
- 26:03Speaker 4: I've never heard of. Yeah, I pulled out.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Hold on, let's stop on that for one second. Does
- 26:08Speaker 2: the cash come out in the bath Like?
- 26:10Speaker 4: Yes, like you put the bath bomb?
- 26:13Speaker 5: Is it real money?
- 26:14Speaker 3: It's real money, but it's like covered in something I
- 26:16Speaker 3: haven't actually used it.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Yet, but it's up to twenty dollars in there.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Oh that's exciting, I know.
- 26:21Speaker 3: So I was like, okay, cool, I'll take that. I
- 26:24Speaker 3: then pulled out a Sabrina Carpenter's cents.
- 26:28Speaker 4: He got me two different Sabrina Carpenter sense. I was like,
- 26:30Speaker 4: all right, Dad, like look at you go.
- 26:33Speaker 3: And then I pull out this rectangular item that's in
- 26:38Speaker 3: like very just flimsy plastic, and I had to read
- 26:41Speaker 3: what it was. He got me those ponchos for emergencies
- 26:46Speaker 3: that are like heat.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Containers, interesting to keep you warm.
- 26:51Speaker 4: And I was like.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Why and he was like, you know, just in case
- 26:55Speaker 3: he gets stranded one day in your car or something like,
- 26:58Speaker 3: you can use this.
- 26:58Speaker 4: It keeps you warm. It's good shot one.
- 27:01Speaker 3: And I was like, okay, Dad, I don't know why
- 27:03Speaker 3: it's Christmas gift.
- 27:04Speaker 5: Though I actually think it's a really cool gift.
- 27:07Speaker 8: I don't think that's a bad gift because, like, think
- 27:09Speaker 8: about what if your car does break down or typical Ricky,
- 27:13Speaker 8: you run out of gas on the side of the
- 27:15Speaker 8: road and then you're just stuck there in the cold.
- 27:17Speaker 5: You'll have a warm poncho. This is a good idea.
- 27:21Speaker 4: It didn't need to be a Christmas gift.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good thing to have, but it did
- 27:25Speaker 2: not need to find its way into the stocking.
- 27:28Speaker 3: I was just elated, right because I'm like, wow, dad
- 27:30Speaker 3: did good this year.
- 27:31Speaker 4: And then I pulled that out. I'm like, what in
- 27:33Speaker 4: the world is this?
- 27:35Speaker 5: I kind of want one, but he gave it to us.
- 27:37Speaker 2: All That's what my father in law does. Ali's dad
- 27:40Speaker 2: will get the kid's presence and he'll just like go
- 27:42Speaker 2: to like the Dollar General and be like, just look
- 27:44Speaker 2: at whatever he sees, like a slinky, a candle with
- 27:47Speaker 2: Jesus on it, Like you, just whatever he sees is
- 27:49Speaker 2: going in that stock.
- 27:50Speaker 4: He literally would.
- 27:51Speaker 3: It felt like I don't even know that he necessarily
- 27:53Speaker 3: bought it as a Christmas He may have just had.
- 27:56Speaker 4: It lying around and went this stock. Why in the
- 28:01Speaker 4: world such a dad move.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Elly and I Wie don't really give each other presents,
- 28:05Speaker 2: but this year I gave her a spoon, and I
- 28:08Speaker 2: thought that was kind of a like a.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Spoon for something specific, a little spoon.
- 28:14Speaker 2: I was nervous about the reaction to the spoon. She
- 28:16Speaker 2: recently said she was she makes this like German pasta.
- 28:18Speaker 2: She makes it at home, with the kids, and she
- 28:20Speaker 2: was like, man, I really wish I had a strainer spoon,
- 28:23Speaker 2: like a big straining spoon. And she said that like
- 28:25Speaker 2: two weeks before Christmas. So that's what I got her.
- 28:27Speaker 2: That was my gift to her this year. And she excited.
- 28:29Speaker 2: She was very excited. Yeah, I was a little nervous,
- 28:31Speaker 2: but she was excited, so that was a good thing.
- 28:33Speaker 4: At least she liked it.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Zach, though, I think you you come out with the
- 28:38Speaker 3: worst gift as well, but gift giving, not receiving.
