- 0:38Speaker 1: of footing. And now here's Jen.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to this week's episode of
- 0:44Speaker 3: Kats and Pudding. And today, Oh my god, I have
- 0:47Speaker 3: such a great Cats today. I am so honored that
- 0:49Speaker 3: she's here today. And I love her and I'm proud
- 0:53Speaker 3: to pull horror friends, and she's so sweet and it's
- 0:56Speaker 3: miss niculture Volta.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I love you too, and I'm so happy to call
- 1:04Speaker 4: you a friend.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I'm so happy that you hear. I am too, and
- 1:08Speaker 3: you are hear in New York because you have a
- 1:11Speaker 3: show that you're doing.
- 1:12Speaker 4: I do have a show I'm hanging by a thread.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Show.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Thank you for coming.
- 1:18Speaker 3: It was amazing unapologetic, right, yeah, I mean I think
- 1:22Speaker 3: that that's what it is.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Right, It's like the pain and the vulnerability. Then you
- 1:27Speaker 4: turn it into a comedy with some you know, emotional
- 1:30Speaker 4: through lines. I think it's like that's what you know
- 1:34Speaker 4: makes it, makes it go round, I suppose.
- 1:37Speaker 3: So it's about it's about your your your your your
- 1:42Speaker 3: navigation through your financial woes and and tanning I have
- 1:50Speaker 3: but I'm Italian. Yeah, I go in the sun one
- 1:54Speaker 3: day and I'm I'm dark. I'm dark.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yeah, It's it's really and like this that's how I
- 2:01Speaker 4: kind of got out of the financial woes, right. But
- 2:04Speaker 4: I think it's important to make it very clear that
- 2:08Speaker 4: everyone has like side jobs and stuff. It wasn't like,
- 2:10Speaker 4: oh my god, a poor girl had to be a
- 2:13Speaker 4: spray tanner like after like not at that at all.
- 2:15Speaker 4: It just was so funny to me that because I
- 2:19Speaker 4: was solely acting and then creating this sort of alternate
- 2:24Speaker 4: lifestyle for myself by way of credit cards and getting
- 2:29Speaker 4: myself into all of this crippling debt, then now way
- 2:33Speaker 4: I sort of navigated out of it from the financial
- 2:36Speaker 4: standpoint was through spray tanning, which then it's like the
- 2:40Speaker 4: roles shifted and I was then doing this job creating
- 2:44Speaker 4: perfection for other people or Hollywood's elite, while I was
- 2:47Speaker 4: trying to sort of rip away this perfection that I
- 2:51Speaker 4: had created for myself.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Wow, and when did you start acting? How old were
- 2:57Speaker 3: you when you started? A kid?
- 2:58Speaker 4: I wanted to do this my whole life, which is
- 3:00Speaker 4: so cliche everyone, you know, like I think it's like
- 3:02Speaker 4: something that, but I really did. I never wanted to
- 3:04Speaker 4: do anything else.
- 3:05Speaker 3: I called Uncle John de Voltabody, So that's.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Why I always wanted to do it. Just kind of
- 3:12Speaker 4: all I knew, you know, and almost a lot of
- 3:13Speaker 4: people don't know this, but I say it in the show,
- 3:17Speaker 4: But my mom really kind of grew up in this
- 3:18Speaker 4: industry and her family was in the production side. Her
- 3:22Speaker 4: uncle from my great uncle was the senior vice president
- 3:25Speaker 4: of post production at Paramount Studios for a film and
- 3:28Speaker 4: parent from from Motion Pictures, So they it was just
- 3:34Speaker 4: innately in my like, that's kind of all that I knew.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Now doesn't mean I could, yeah, like right, but I'm
- 3:41Speaker 4: not an Eppo baby, I'm an EPO niece. I want
- 3:44Speaker 4: to make that very clear.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Okay, it's a lot different.
- 3:48Speaker 4: It's a lot different, a little different, but it's the
- 3:51Speaker 4: feeling of like, Okay, this is what I know, this
- 3:53Speaker 4: is what I want to do. But my journey was
- 3:56Speaker 4: not like nothing was handed to me for us. You know,
- 4:00Speaker 4: I had to I auditions, auditions and hundreds and hundreds
- 4:06Speaker 4: that I never got.
- 4:07Speaker 3: How does that feel? Do you? Did that affected you?
- 4:11Speaker 1: Well?
- 4:11Speaker 3: The nose and the reductions.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I think that we say that it doesn't in many ways,
- 4:16Speaker 4: like we're like, oh, we have a thick skin or whatever.
- 4:18Speaker 4: But at a certain point it does get to a
- 4:21Speaker 4: bit taxing, you know, and then you get some and
- 4:23Speaker 4: then it's like a snowball effect and they're like, sh
- 4:26Speaker 4: this is work. It's happening, like this is the thing
- 4:28Speaker 4: that I dreamed of, Like this is amazing whatever, and
- 4:30Speaker 4: then there's more nose or then you your life takes
- 4:34Speaker 4: a turn and you're not you have to be in
- 4:36Speaker 4: such I feel like for this industry to your mental state,
- 4:41Speaker 4: I think is also so important. And when I started
- 4:44Speaker 4: going through all of this stuff with my ex and
- 4:46Speaker 4: my my finances and then just sort of hitting this
- 4:49Speaker 4: sort of rock. No, I don't want to say, like
- 4:52Speaker 4: rock Bottom is very exensive, but it was a bottom
- 4:54Speaker 4: of it was my bottom at that time. Yeah, you
- 5:00Speaker 4: it starts to affect you in your work and when
- 5:02Speaker 4: you're going in an auditioning because you're like desperate, like
- 5:04Speaker 4: I needed this job. This isn't like a thing where
- 5:08Speaker 4: you can do I'm just doing it, like you know,
- 5:10Speaker 4: I needed that job. Every time I walked in for
- 5:13Speaker 4: those auditions, I was like, if I don't get this job,
- 5:16Speaker 4: I'm screwed. And that desperation, I think can come off
- 5:19Speaker 4: in an audition like absolutely want to feel it. Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 4: So but yeah, I think the nose it's hard, you know,
- 5:26Speaker 4: it's it's difficult. That's why I really wanted to do
- 5:28Speaker 4: this and why I think it's so great. Like when
- 5:30Speaker 4: we were just talking about all the things that you're
- 5:32Speaker 4: doing and all the things that you do as a woman,
- 5:34Speaker 4: I think you're giving not only your you're you have
- 5:38Speaker 4: all these your hands in all these different pots. You
- 5:41Speaker 4: also are creative acting, and then you have this podcast,
- 5:44Speaker 4: and you are also giving a platform for other people
- 5:47Speaker 4: to speak and tell stories or talk about you know,
- 5:50Speaker 4: their lives or interesting conversations or whatever. And I think
- 5:54Speaker 4: that that's the best thing you can do right now,
- 5:56Speaker 4: because the industry itself, I feel to rely on it solely,
- 6:02Speaker 4: just auditioning and going into these rooms. It's just getting
- 6:06Speaker 4: more and more difficult. So to me, I'm like, what
- 6:08Speaker 4: what a what a better? What better position than to
- 6:11Speaker 4: be able to have something that you can do yourself.
- 6:14Speaker 4: It's yours and then you can get get there. Yeah,
- 6:20Speaker 4: like you you you're in the driver's seat. Yeah you
- 6:22Speaker 4: have something to you know, like an additional thing that
- 6:24Speaker 4: you could.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Offer, you could offer them. Yeah, yeah, I mean I
- 6:26Speaker 3: feel that way, and I feel like it's I mean,
- 6:28Speaker 3: the industry's totally has changed. I mean years ago, what
- 6:31Speaker 3: was it you'd have to go in for go in
- 6:33Speaker 3: for an addition. Now now they just want people to
- 6:35Speaker 3: you just want tapes now, And I can't stay in
- 6:36Speaker 3: the tapes. I'm insane. I feel like awkward when I'm
- 6:40Speaker 3: doing these tapes. Sometimes, even though I'm like always on
- 6:43Speaker 3: social media, I'm always recording myself for some reason, when
- 6:45Speaker 3: you'll like talk into a camera and you're speaking lines
- 6:49Speaker 3: and they're like you don't want to know how what
- 6:50Speaker 3: you look like, and you feel like you look weird
- 6:52Speaker 3: when you're talking. Sometimes I don't know, like I always
- 6:54Speaker 3: feel like a lot I was feeling a little weird.
- 6:57Speaker 4: I also just miss it's even like just I miss
- 7:01Speaker 4: human interaction. So the best part of auditioning back when
- 7:05Speaker 4: you would go in person is that when you walked
- 7:07Speaker 4: into a room, they could like capture your essence, right,
- 7:10Speaker 4: so you could go in and have these moments like
- 7:13Speaker 4: it's so nice to meet you. Sometimes that in general,
- 7:17Speaker 4: I think, is like, oh, this is like a nice, humble,
- 7:21Speaker 4: kind individual who's grateful to be here. Like you lose
- 7:24Speaker 4: that completely when you are putting in a self tape.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Absolutely, it was to think about it. People act on
- 7:32Speaker 3: social media, right, right. I mean I've met people lots
- 7:36Speaker 3: of people that on social media look like, you know,
- 7:39Speaker 3: the best guy around or the best girl around, and
- 7:42Speaker 3: then you know you meet them in person, I'm like,
- 7:43Speaker 3: this guy's this asshole, like you know what I mean?
- 7:46Speaker 4: I mean, And I think that is very I mean, no, listen,
- 7:49Speaker 4: I think some of the most wonderful people that I've
- 7:51Speaker 4: ever met are through social media. If I hadn't met
- 7:55Speaker 4: you know, all of the people that we have in common,
- 7:57Speaker 4: I wouldn't have met, you know what I mean. So
- 7:58Speaker 4: there's still so beautiful, there's a bad, there's a balance.
- 8:02Speaker 4: But I then you meet some people who portray themselves
- 8:05Speaker 4: as these specific sort of specific types of people and
- 8:08Speaker 4: they're just and they are anything but, And I'm like,
- 8:11Speaker 4: that's so disappointing because you're really portraying like I am
- 8:15Speaker 4: your best friend, and then you meet them.
- 8:18Speaker 3: And then it's like nothing now and it's not the same.
- 8:20Speaker 3: So I think that like that kind of you know,
- 8:22Speaker 3: I think social media has changed the game a lot, right, Yeah,
- 8:26Speaker 3: don't you feel that way? Yes?
- 8:28Speaker 4: When was the last audition you went on before I came?
- 8:31Speaker 4: I went I had an audition for I don't even
- 8:34Speaker 4: met my episode? What did I have? Days of Our Lives?
- 8:37Speaker 3: Really?
- 8:38Speaker 4: Yeah? When soap operas aren't? I mean I had so
- 8:41Speaker 4: much fun And I love the casting director. Her name
- 8:44Speaker 4: is Marnie. She's unbelievable in such an actor lover. Like
- 8:47Speaker 4: I think that's really important that you know these casting directors.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I think there's some that are just so they love
- 8:52Speaker 4: actors and they're so supportive, and she is so fantastic.
- 8:56Speaker 4: I mean, obviously soap operas aren't. That's like my It's
- 8:59Speaker 4: like comedy has always been my bread and better but
- 9:03Speaker 4: it was fun, Like it was, Yeah, it was fun
- 9:06Speaker 4: and the role was sort of comedically fun and it
- 9:10Speaker 4: was great and you know, but again you're like, I
- 9:12Speaker 4: was literally at my mom's house. My mom was reading
- 9:16Speaker 4: with me, and I had like boxes set up with
- 9:21Speaker 4: my phone on the tripod but then lifted higher with
- 9:26Speaker 4: my computer so I could also be on this zoom.
- 9:28Speaker 4: But they're like taping and then doing all these things,
- 9:32Speaker 4: and it was just like, what is happening? What am
- 9:35Speaker 4: I doing right now? Like it just looks like a dia.
- 9:39Speaker 4: This is so ridiculous.
- 9:41Speaker 3: If anybody's sold the background the phone on my phone
- 9:45Speaker 3: so crazy. It was like a box.
- 9:48Speaker 4: And yes, it's so it's such a funny experience to
- 9:53Speaker 4: be able to do it that way. But I miss
- 9:55Speaker 4: there's especially in La you have to sit in your
- 9:57Speaker 4: car for so many hours to get from one to
- 10:00Speaker 4: the god. But I do miss that, you know, you
- 10:04Speaker 4: like walk onto the lot like the Warner Brothers on
- 10:06Speaker 4: your there's like a there's a magic that happens that
- 10:09Speaker 4: you don't get anymore.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Yeah, because they don't have auditions on the lots anymore.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Not really, very rarely. Everything is on zoom.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Really.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe if you're screen testing for something, then you'll
- 10:21Speaker 4: have to come in or maybe if there's like some
- 10:24Speaker 4: colob ex, A lot of it is on zoom now
- 10:26Speaker 4: it's crazy.
- 10:28Speaker 3: And that also probably changed a lot because of COVID too,
- 10:30Speaker 3: I'm sure. Yeah. And then people then I kept when I.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Like, that's why I love again, like being here. It's
- 10:38Speaker 4: just like so nice it is, isn't it nice?
- 10:41Speaker 3: And you know, then that's why I like to unpark
- 10:43Speaker 3: my podcast in person. I feel like it's just you
- 10:45Speaker 3: get such a better you know, show, and a better
- 10:48Speaker 3: feel for the person when you're doing it, and you know,
- 10:51Speaker 3: and really, you know, sitting across from one another instead
- 10:54Speaker 3: of looking at somebody on you know, FaceTime or on zoom.
- 10:57Speaker 4: I totally agree.
- 10:58Speaker 3: You know, it's just a different And I have phones
- 11:00Speaker 3: are on and you're talking and the ugly pictures in
- 11:02Speaker 3: the background behind them, Yeah, it's because you're like now
- 11:07Speaker 3: you're looking at all the stuff behind them or whatever.
- 11:09Speaker 3: It's just I feel like this is just I don't know.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I think I think human interaction has really changed over
- 11:16Speaker 3: the last since I'm a kid. I mean, I know
- 11:18Speaker 3: that I'm the last generation that doesn't know the world
- 11:21Speaker 3: when I'm an internet. Isn't that crazy? Crazy? Birth the Internet?
- 11:25Speaker 3: But we know the world without it? Yeah, that's that's
- 11:28Speaker 3: isn't that crazy? Yes? And it was a lot simpler then.
- 11:31Speaker 3: It was so much better. Everybody's everybody's head.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Is down in their phone. It's so wild how reliant
- 11:40Speaker 4: we are on these things now too, because I also
- 11:44Speaker 4: when I you know when before, when I was driven, now,
- 11:48Speaker 4: when I started driving, there was no we didn't have
- 11:50Speaker 4: you know, Google Maps probably had navigation, we did, or
- 11:55Speaker 4: we did map My dad would print map quests, right,
- 11:58Speaker 4: map quests, yep, and you would have to like, fine,
- 12:00Speaker 4: you know.
- 12:02Speaker 3: You know what on my map quest? Was pen and paper?
- 12:04Speaker 3: That was on map? Yes, that was it? Or a
- 12:06Speaker 3: map or like a fold out map. I wouldn't know.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Do you think any of these kids know how to
- 12:10Speaker 3: read a map? The United States? They don't even know
- 12:14Speaker 3: what the what the capital is. It's it's really scary.
- 12:17Speaker 4: It's like it's really it's become now that if your
- 12:21Speaker 4: phone dies, you're dead. You're screwed.
- 12:24Speaker 3: You can't get anywhere, you can't get any money, and
- 12:27Speaker 3: you can't do anything. You can't order a cab, you
- 12:30Speaker 3: can't order uber, you can't order food, you can't call anybody,
- 12:34Speaker 3: you can't go anywhere because there's no directions, right, So
- 12:37Speaker 3: you have to just be self reliant.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Isn't that great that this made us unself reliant?
- 12:42Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's the scariest thing in the world if
- 12:45Speaker 4: you again, people don't have their cards anymore. Everything's on
- 12:50Speaker 4: their phone. So if you go to the store and
- 12:54Speaker 4: you're trying and your phone's dead and you're trying to
- 12:57Speaker 4: do like the tap thing, yeah, you're done.
- 12:59Speaker 3: You're food. That's it. Because if you don't carry your
- 13:02Speaker 3: cards with you, you're done. Yeah, that's it. I still
- 13:05Speaker 3: carry my cards with me. I still carry cash. I'm
- 13:08Speaker 3: still carry my dad is always has me. He's like,
- 13:10Speaker 3: you got to always make sure that you have and
- 13:12Speaker 3: I never do. That's a true time.
- 13:14Speaker 4: He Yeah, he's like he always has he always has cash.
- 13:18Speaker 3: I always have cash on me. That's what said.
- 13:20Speaker 4: He actually said to me the other day. He was like,
- 13:22Speaker 4: cash is king, that's what he's going.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it is. It's still king to us. I mean, look,
- 13:25Speaker 3: I just think that I for me to swipe a
- 13:28Speaker 3: credit card for like a fight dollar, well, it's not
- 13:31Speaker 3: even finals anymore.
- 13:32Speaker 1: What is it?
- 13:33Speaker 3: The coffee is now probably nine dollars.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Coffee is like twice. Yeah, you could get like a
- 13:37Speaker 4: nice fifteen dollars these days.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Unless you go to McDonald's you get one for like
- 13:40Speaker 3: three dollars and then its pretty good if you want
- 13:44Speaker 3: to advertise with us McDonald's McDonald's sponsorship. But I can't
- 13:50Speaker 3: see just putting that on a credit card.
- 13:52Speaker 1: To me.
- 13:53Speaker 3: That bothers me. Yeah, it's like what why why? You know?
- 13:57Speaker 3: What is this? And it's just more and more and
- 14:00Speaker 3: more and more. It's just like it's like cash is
- 14:02Speaker 3: phased out. People like look at you when you hand
- 14:04Speaker 3: them cash, like they don't even want to touch it.
- 14:06Speaker 3: It's like they don't even know what it is.
- 14:08Speaker 4: No, they don't know how they and some places don't
- 14:10Speaker 4: take it. They're like, oh yeah you can.
- 14:12Speaker 3: They don't know how to make change. How's that?
- 14:13Speaker 1: No?
- 14:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I mentioned, none of these kids know how to
- 14:16Speaker 3: make changel.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Scary. It is scary, scared, We're scared.
- 14:27Speaker 3: It's very scary. It's pretty scary. So, I mean, I
- 14:30Speaker 3: have to tell you though, when I watched when I
- 14:33Speaker 3: came to I was there the first night. I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 3: you were phenomenal. I was so impressed by you and
- 14:40Speaker 3: by the whole show, and I yeah, I mean it
- 14:44Speaker 3: was really fun. I mean it was interactive. I mean
- 14:46Speaker 3: you were like people from the audience were like, I
- 14:48Speaker 3: mean I know why I was. I was heckling.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Oh you were. I love you. You were the best.
- 14:52Speaker 4: It was so like you were amazing, amazing.
- 14:56Speaker 3: How do you deal with that if you have like
- 14:57Speaker 3: a like an idiot, like a guy in the order
- 14:59Speaker 3: to like somebody.
- 15:01Speaker 4: So it's interesting. I don't because I think, especially here,
- 15:05Speaker 4: people know it's not a regular stand up shows. It's
- 15:10Speaker 4: so much more storytelling and it is there is a script,
- 15:13Speaker 4: and there's you know, so it's it's something that's ingrained
- 15:16Speaker 4: in my bones. Right now, I've gotten more people that
- 15:20Speaker 4: will talk to me during the show and like go
- 15:22Speaker 4: back and forth. And I'm comfortable with that because the
- 15:25Speaker 4: show lives inside of me, right And even if it didn't,
- 15:30Speaker 4: I said this earlier, I'm like, the show is not
- 15:33Speaker 4: some well crafted Shakespearean theater piece, Like if that's what
- 15:38Speaker 4: you're coming to expect, it's it's wrong. You know, this
- 15:43Speaker 4: is what it is is. It's a it's a chaos's chaos.
- 15:46Speaker 4: It's messy, and I think that that makes it feel okay,
- 15:50Speaker 4: Like even if I lose myself in it, it's like
- 15:53Speaker 4: I'm not I'm not a robot, I'm a human, so
- 15:56Speaker 4: I think. But I also think that the engagement with
- 15:58Speaker 4: the audience is so important. How Ever, I have not
- 16:02Speaker 4: really had a lot of people heckle me because of
- 16:06Speaker 4: I think the nature of the show I did the
- 16:09Speaker 4: other night. I hope that he finds this have a
- 16:14Speaker 4: man in of course the second row, and he made
- 16:19Speaker 4: it a point the whole time too. He was by
- 16:23Speaker 4: himself to yawn on his phone, pretend to be sleeping
- 16:30Speaker 4: like this, like the whole entire show, and I had
- 16:34Speaker 4: to I almost threw him out. I almost was gonna stop.
- 16:39Speaker 3: And be like, you gotta go, but you did. But
- 16:42Speaker 3: I didn't good because you know what, that would have
- 16:44Speaker 3: made him win.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what.
- 16:46Speaker 3: I took the attention off of you and put it
- 16:48Speaker 3: on him.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Yes. So I just literally kept like walking when he
- 16:55Speaker 4: would be like, I'd walk from this side to this side,
- 16:57Speaker 4: this sid this said, and I kept walking over to
- 16:59Speaker 4: him and stick bring him in the face and he
- 17:01Speaker 4: would just be like this, I'm like, you did, dick,
- 17:07Speaker 4: You are a dick.
- 17:08Speaker 5: What's the point of coming, Like what, I just have
- 17:11Speaker 5: to know why, why did it even come? Why would
- 17:14Speaker 5: you want to get up in the morning like you're
- 17:16Speaker 5: like today, I'm going to get up and I'm going
- 17:18Speaker 5: to go to this woman's comedy show or a story
- 17:22Speaker 5: about her life, and I'm going to sit in the
- 17:25Speaker 5: second row and I'm going to attempt to make her
- 17:27Speaker 5: miserable and being kind of miserable.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Asshole makes choices like this.
- 17:32Speaker 3: There's a lot of miserable people in the world.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Yes, that's true.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I mean, look at people on social media. Look at
- 17:37Speaker 3: they do. Just people just say just nasty things to
- 17:40Speaker 3: people on social media for absolutely no reason, no reason, right, Like, dude,
- 17:44Speaker 3: why are you? Like what's wrong with you? Like, if
- 17:48Speaker 3: you don't like what I'm saying, then don't follow me,
- 17:51Speaker 3: you know. You know what, that's a beautiful You could
- 17:54Speaker 3: say unfriend or unfollow or delete me or block me.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Why do you have to come at me?
- 18:01Speaker 4: Not any of it.
- 18:02Speaker 3: It doesn't make any sense. I think people today feel
- 18:05Speaker 3: like there's a power in that. Maybe maybe that's like
- 18:08Speaker 3: a it's like a power trip. Maybe people who do
- 18:10Speaker 3: that or common packle shows or just sit there. It's
- 18:13Speaker 3: like they get all fun of. It's like a power
- 18:15Speaker 3: trip for them because they feel like they can like
- 18:18Speaker 3: ruin or run something that that maybe their life's out
- 18:21Speaker 3: of control.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Kay.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Yeah, who knows why, because it's me. I would never
- 18:25Speaker 3: get a thing to even do that to somebody.
- 18:28Speaker 4: I think it's it makes people feel something that we
- 18:32Speaker 4: obviously don't understand. But I couldn't imagine if I don't
- 18:37Speaker 4: like something that someone's saying. There's a lot of things
- 18:39Speaker 4: that I don't like. There's a lot of things that
- 18:40Speaker 4: I don't agree with. There's a lot of things that
- 18:42Speaker 4: I'm like, I I would never open my phone and
- 18:48Speaker 4: like write I hate message like a yell, like an
- 18:52Speaker 4: awful yelp.
- 18:53Speaker 3: We've go on.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Somebody even that, Yeah, like you would.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Really you really have to piss.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Me off, have to piss me off to make me
- 19:00Speaker 4: want to like ruin. But the thing that I think
- 19:04Speaker 4: is so interesting too, is like the women commenting on
- 19:09Speaker 4: other women's posts that I see like ripping apart their bodies,
- 19:12Speaker 4: ripping apart their faces so bad. It's so many things
- 19:16Speaker 4: that I'm like, why.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Why women should be sticking together? And we don't and
- 19:21Speaker 3: then and it's all but I this this thing of like, oh,
- 19:25Speaker 3: women are sticking together, like I think that there are
- 19:27Speaker 3: some that are better, not really but not not not.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I work. I work in the buda industry. Yeah, I
- 19:35Speaker 3: know that's not true. It's everybody's out to outdo somebody else.
- 19:39Speaker 3: It's really it's bad. I mean not. I don't want
- 19:42Speaker 3: to say everybody, because it's not collectively everybody, but there's
- 19:45Speaker 3: a good majority of people like that. If I have
- 19:48Speaker 3: to get up in the morning to go and go
- 19:50Speaker 3: abuse somebody about their looks, about what does that say
- 19:53Speaker 3: about me as a parson, oh my gosh, and that
- 19:55Speaker 3: they're actually like renting space in my head that I
- 19:57Speaker 3: got to worry that I have to go that step
- 19:58Speaker 3: farther to say, like even in so many local comments
- 20:02Speaker 3: on about me and about my look or something, I'll
- 20:05Speaker 3: put a video up, I'll put its old, I'll put
- 20:09Speaker 3: a I'll put a reel up and the first that
- 20:11Speaker 3: maybe don't like what I say, and the first thing
- 20:13Speaker 3: that the person does, and it's a from a woman,
- 20:15Speaker 3: there's not much of something about my looks. Why what
- 20:19Speaker 3: this real has nothing to do with anybody's looks, So
- 20:22Speaker 3: it's nothing to do with even like my business it's
- 20:24Speaker 3: something could be another topic altogether. And the first attack
- 20:28Speaker 3: is what I look like and how old I am.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I just don't get that. It's so it's and it's
- 20:33Speaker 3: so bizarre that it comes from with.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Me, and it's so messed up because even that is
- 20:38Speaker 4: that I'm it's you can get also a million other wonderful,
- 20:42Speaker 4: lovely comments, and those ones will stick with you because
- 20:46Speaker 4: it's so hateful. I always say, though, thank god we
- 20:50Speaker 4: don't understand that type of behavior because we would never
- 20:52Speaker 4: do something like that. So I'm grateful that I don't
- 20:56Speaker 4: understand what is going on behind someone's brain to go
- 21:00Speaker 4: like I'm gonna rip this person apart for no reason.
- 21:04Speaker 3: You know. I you don't have to feel sorry for them,
- 21:06Speaker 3: that's what you know what, feel sorry for them and
- 21:08Speaker 3: you don't know what's going on in their world, you
- 21:10Speaker 3: know what I mean? But whatever, Like you know, if
- 21:12Speaker 3: it's on social media, I can just you know, delete
- 21:15Speaker 3: it or whatever. But I just feel like if people
- 21:18Speaker 3: come in your face when they're doing it, is that's
- 21:21Speaker 3: that's hard. That's hard to back off from. I really,
- 21:24Speaker 3: so I can only imagine you wanted to like go
- 21:26Speaker 3: down the owners to probably punched this.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Guy, right, I took everything in my It took everything
- 21:30Speaker 4: in my power. And it's distracting to yeah, because then
- 21:34Speaker 4: you start getting in your head. Am I boring you?
- 21:39Speaker 3: Or it's just that's what you should have said to him.
- 21:41Speaker 3: You should excuse me? Am I boring you?
- 21:43Speaker 4: Are you sleeping? Are you tired? Do you need a blanket?
- 21:47Speaker 3: You did some coffee? I should I.
- 21:49Speaker 4: Honestly should have said something. I just am like always,
- 21:52Speaker 4: I just I. But then another part of me is,
- 21:55Speaker 4: like you said, then he wins.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Said he wins exactly, and I don't want him to win,
- 21:59Speaker 3: and you don't want him to know. Well, I could
- 22:01Speaker 3: tell you you are. You would never have even known that.
- 22:03Speaker 3: That was your first night that you were on stage.
- 22:07Speaker 3: You were amazing. You are a spot on on everything.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I mean, it was just and the way you told
- 22:12Speaker 3: the story and you and she tells us, You tell
- 22:14Speaker 3: the story with the you know, impressions and and you
- 22:18Speaker 3: know you you not and not just comedy. You do
- 22:21Speaker 3: just show real feelings and you know you do. You
- 22:24Speaker 3: know you get a little TEARI or ie and emotional
- 22:27Speaker 3: because it's bringing up I guess old you know feelings
- 22:30Speaker 3: and stuff for you so it's probably a cathartic for
- 22:32Speaker 3: you too.
- 22:33Speaker 4: It's really cathartic, and it does. It's like every night
- 22:36Speaker 4: is a little bit different. And then sometimes I feel
- 22:38Speaker 4: that that range of emotion where I'm like, oh my God,
- 22:41Speaker 4: like I can't believe that I'm talking about this or
- 22:43Speaker 4: that I'm here and that I'm doing this, you know,
- 22:45Speaker 4: that it all comes up, you know, And I've been
- 22:48Speaker 4: doing this show for now three years, but this is
- 22:51Speaker 4: the biggest iteration I've reiteration I've ever done of it.
- 22:55Speaker 4: And so it's like a lot you know, your your
- 22:57Speaker 4: your I got I clawed my way to come back
- 23:00Speaker 4: here and make this happen. And so it's emotional sometimes too.
- 23:04Speaker 4: And then you're you're sort of going through it and
- 23:06Speaker 4: then you're like standing up here and you're like, wow,
- 23:09Speaker 4: I did this. I made this out of that, you know,
- 23:12Speaker 4: And so it's it brings me to my knees sometimes
- 23:16Speaker 4: a lot of times.
- 23:17Speaker 3: I mean, listen, you are a success story. You are
- 23:22Speaker 3: you should be proud of yourself, you know, and you
- 23:24Speaker 3: know what and what you what you're saying too. I
- 23:27Speaker 3: mean even about persons of people getting themselves in death,
- 23:30Speaker 3: I mean death in debt go for bid death, and
- 23:34Speaker 3: that is to me this synonymous. But in debt, I
- 23:37Speaker 3: mean people, a lot of people can relate to that
- 23:39Speaker 3: because it happens, and it's probably happened to every single
- 23:42Speaker 3: person at least once in their lifetime. I know what's
- 23:45Speaker 3: happened to me. Yeah, I mean I have run up
- 23:49Speaker 3: my credit cards. I could have done my kitchen three
- 23:51Speaker 3: times over when I was when I was in my
- 23:53Speaker 3: thirties with the old the credit card debt, and I
- 23:56Speaker 3: don't even nothing to show for it, zero to show it.
- 24:00Speaker 3: And I used to go back and think, my god,
- 24:02Speaker 3: why did I do that? Now no adult me looks
- 24:04Speaker 3: back on that and it's like, wow, I can't believe it.
- 24:07Speaker 3: And now I'm afraid if I have like one hundred
- 24:09Speaker 3: dollars on my credit card, now I'm panic scary, you know,
- 24:11Speaker 3: like oh my god, oh my god. But when you
- 24:13Speaker 3: go with you know, you're not thinking of it then,
- 24:15Speaker 3: like you're not when you're in it, you're not thinking
- 24:17Speaker 3: of it that way, so.
- 24:19Speaker 4: You're you don't think of it, you don't think of
- 24:21Speaker 4: it that weight out. But when you come out of it,
- 24:22Speaker 4: and then you're like, like, what the fuck did I do?
- 24:25Speaker 4: Did I do. It's crazy.
- 24:27Speaker 3: What did I spend forty dollars? Yeah? No, exactly, like seriously,
- 24:32Speaker 3: and it's it's crazy, you know, and it adds up
- 24:34Speaker 3: so quickly it does. It's like and you know what
- 24:36Speaker 3: when when you're doing it, you don't really when you're
- 24:38Speaker 3: like like, hey, I just swipe us wipe, that's wipe
- 24:40Speaker 3: us white, you know. I mean. I got my first
- 24:43Speaker 3: credit card when I was seventeen years old. My grandparents
- 24:46Speaker 3: got me an American Express card because I was going
- 24:48Speaker 3: away with my friends. So I'm seventeen. What I shouldn't
- 24:52Speaker 3: happen an American Express card? Wait, I'm giving this to me,
- 24:56Speaker 3: And what happens? I run run it up, run it up,
- 25:00Speaker 3: They pay it and every credit call company sends me
- 25:03Speaker 3: a credit card after that.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Yep. Because that's that. Now you're sitting pretty, You're like
- 25:08Speaker 4: this girl is ready yeah to go, she's not ready
- 25:12Speaker 4: to go. And it's like that's why you say. It's
- 25:14Speaker 4: like the and then when you are in it and
- 25:17Speaker 4: then you have to get out.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Of it, it's very hard.
- 25:19Speaker 4: And then you are I did like that Deck Consolidation company,
- 25:24Speaker 4: but they then they have like a whole entire business
- 25:26Speaker 4: to get you out of it. So there's like businesses
- 25:29Speaker 4: and they're really.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Not getting you out of it because it's all interest
- 25:32Speaker 3: that you're paying.
- 25:33Speaker 4: So right, so you get out of it, but it's consolidated.
- 25:36Speaker 4: You're not dealing with like the deck lectures anymore, but
- 25:39Speaker 4: you are paying a lot lot of money money.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy, but you don't but you don't think
- 25:45Speaker 3: about it. Then now you look back on and you're like,
- 25:49Speaker 3: but you know what, you for whatever reason, you needed
- 25:52Speaker 3: to go down that road to get to you where
- 25:54Speaker 3: you are for whatever reason. And I and I really
- 25:56Speaker 3: believe that. My grandma always said that she goes there's
- 25:58Speaker 3: always a reason why you have to That's something that
- 26:01Speaker 3: you have to go through in life. You have to
- 26:03Speaker 3: go through it, whether it's good man, whatever it is,
- 26:05Speaker 3: there's always a reason why. So maybe you had to
- 26:07Speaker 3: go through that to lead you here.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Well that's what I said, is that people are like, well,
- 26:12Speaker 4: why didn't you call that your uncle? Why didn't you
- 26:15Speaker 4: do this? Why didn't you do that? Why didn't you
- 26:16Speaker 4: call your parents and make have them in It's like
- 26:19Speaker 4: so I don't even know. I'm like, I don't need
- 26:22Speaker 4: to I'm not obligated to give like an exact reason
- 26:25Speaker 4: of why I did or didn't do what I did,
- 26:27Speaker 4: but I made the choice to the shame was eating
- 26:31Speaker 4: me alive, alive, and I had just gotten married. Now
- 26:36Speaker 4: I'm getting divorced. I felt pretty fucking ridiculous, Like, uh,
- 26:44Speaker 4: my whole life didn't make sense to me all of
- 26:46Speaker 4: a sudden, and it's deeper than just the dead. So
- 26:50Speaker 4: if I had done any of those things, I wouldn't
- 26:53Speaker 4: be sitting here right now. So thank god I didn't.
- 26:56Speaker 4: Thank god I made the choice to figure out a
- 26:59Speaker 4: way and go with this consolidation company, even though I
- 27:02Speaker 4: agree their interest rates are creat like it's not like
- 27:05Speaker 4: you know, it was, it's a whole thing. But I
- 27:10Speaker 4: wouldn't have this, So I'm glad that I went, that
- 27:14Speaker 4: I did it this way, and.
- 27:16Speaker 3: It could have been a lot worse. Yes, everything can
- 27:18Speaker 3: always be worse, and you have to look at it
- 27:20Speaker 3: that way, you know, And I know with me, like
- 27:24Speaker 3: even when I was when I had my credit calrds
- 27:27Speaker 3: through the roof, I wouldn't go and ask Mike. First
- 27:29Speaker 3: of all, after my grandparents paid off my my credit
- 27:31Speaker 3: calrd the first time, they never paid it again. Yeah,
- 27:33Speaker 3: that was it. That was it. They never helped me. Yes,
- 27:36Speaker 3: they never helped me again, and they go, we don't
- 27:38Speaker 3: care if you have to beg, borrow or steal. We
- 27:40Speaker 3: are never going to pay another credit card. And they
- 27:42Speaker 3: meant it. They meant it, so I couldn't even ask
- 27:45Speaker 3: them when I was in debt. So I had to
- 27:47Speaker 3: I had to figure it out.
- 27:48Speaker 4: What did you do?
- 27:49Speaker 3: I worked and paid it off, you know, I worked
- 27:52Speaker 3: and paid it off. But when I got and when
- 27:54Speaker 3: I got this would happened too. When I got married.
- 27:56Speaker 3: I mean I took a second I had to take
- 27:57Speaker 3: a second mortgage on my house to pay it, which
- 27:59Speaker 3: was which that was discussed. That bothered me more than
- 28:01Speaker 3: any That's what I'm saying is that people like, that's
- 28:03Speaker 3: how bad it can really get.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Is that I think people don't understand. Is that, like,
- 28:07Speaker 4: when you're in that type of a situation and how
- 28:09Speaker 4: bad it can really get, It's scary.
- 28:11Speaker 3: It's very scary when you have one hundred thousand dollars
- 28:14Speaker 3: that you've got to pay back and you're thirty one
- 28:16Speaker 3: years old, You're like.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Where yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's it's anxiety, riddy.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's you want to like, it's it's very and
- 28:25Speaker 3: you don't want to tell your parents. You don't want
- 28:26Speaker 3: to tell anybody because then you want to hear them saying,
- 28:28Speaker 3: we know we're from Italian parenty that the guilt, Oh
- 28:31Speaker 3: how do you do that? What's the matter with you? Like?
- 28:33Speaker 3: How do you run yourself up in debt like that?
- 28:35Speaker 3: It's but it's so easy, it's so simple to have
- 28:39Speaker 3: it done. It's it's it's like the swipe. It is.
- 28:42Speaker 4: It's as simple as that. It's as simple as that.
- 28:45Speaker 3: And you don't think about it until thirty days later. No, right, no,
- 28:49Speaker 3: you don't think about it until then. Do you have
- 28:51Speaker 3: credit cards?
- 28:52Speaker 4: Now? No, you don't know even emergency no debit, yes,
- 28:56Speaker 4: but no, but everything is I have one. I have
- 29:00Speaker 4: one emergency credit card that has like a very but
- 29:03Speaker 4: I truly don't even keep I'm like scared.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's good that you you know that you're
- 29:09Speaker 3: able to say yourself. But you know, I think, I
- 29:12Speaker 3: think I feel like you've learned a lessing.
- 29:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I should have something more, something, because.
- 29:17Speaker 3: It's just God forbid you get stuck anywhere, and let
- 29:20Speaker 3: me tell you it's happened before.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Where like I've been stuck somewhere and like my debit
- 29:25Speaker 4: card is flat, you know you just like you know, no,
- 29:27Speaker 4: so then you don't have it. But I, you know
- 29:30Speaker 4: I it's they that that volume to what I had
- 29:35Speaker 4: was not just like having an American Express, right, which
- 29:38Speaker 4: you can still get yourself in that, but I had
- 29:39Speaker 4: like a store card for every car, every single.
- 29:42Speaker 3: So those are the worst because those those aprs are
- 29:46Speaker 3: so expressive. Crazy, But American Express is the worst. Is
- 29:49Speaker 3: the best club because you got to pay and at
- 29:50Speaker 3: the end of the month, right right, right right, that's
- 29:51Speaker 3: what I use it. Well, and you get sky miles. Yes,
- 29:55Speaker 3: you went to Europe. I went to Italy twice with
- 29:57Speaker 3: my That's what I'm saying, first class with my with
- 30:00Speaker 3: my Well you're smart say that. Yeah, now I'm s
- 30:03Speaker 3: hot now. But it's just but I but that's a
- 30:06Speaker 3: card that you have to pay off. Yeah, and you
- 30:08Speaker 3: can't hold a big amount on it. No, that's it.
- 30:11Speaker 3: You can hold a certain amount of every month that you
- 30:13Speaker 3: can you know, use and like you could whatever, but
- 30:17Speaker 3: you have to pay. You have to pay it off. Yeah,
- 30:20Speaker 3: that's it. No, no hold by and then you can't
- 30:22Speaker 3: well you can't use the card that's it exactly. So
- 30:25Speaker 3: you're done. So either you pay it or you don't
- 30:27Speaker 3: have a card now to use.
- 30:28Speaker 4: You've come miles from your original American Express.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Paying it down my grandparents anymore? Is that crazy? Oh
- 30:37Speaker 3: my god? So how many? How many more shows you
- 30:40Speaker 3: have left? Though? Ten? Ten? Are you excited?
- 30:43Speaker 4: I'm so excited. I'm just it's a whirlwind, and I'm like,
- 30:47Speaker 4: I don't want to say. People are like, are you tired.
- 30:50Speaker 4: I'm like, yeah, I'm exhausted. Like it's like the way
- 30:53Speaker 4: that I feel when I wake up in the morning
- 30:55Speaker 4: is almost like I went to the gym three times
- 30:57Speaker 4: in a day, and you're just sort of like your
- 30:59Speaker 4: body because the emotional up and down and then they
- 31:02Speaker 4: need to be on and like having to sort of go.
- 31:05Speaker 4: But at the same time, I'm like, I wouldn't trade
- 31:07Speaker 4: it for anything, Like this is not a complaining tired.
- 31:10Speaker 4: I just am sort of like having to make some
- 31:13Speaker 4: sacrifices in my own life right now because you're just
- 31:18Speaker 4: like pushing through. So your rest is really important, Like
- 31:23Speaker 4: you don't realize it, Like six weeks, five nights a week,
- 31:27Speaker 4: it's a lot.
- 31:27Speaker 3: It's a lot. Well, you're also going up and down
- 31:30Speaker 3: in your emotions through the show, and you're reliving.
- 31:32Speaker 4: It's every night, every night, and by the time today
- 31:36Speaker 4: rolls around, which would normally be like a day off,
- 31:39Speaker 4: but then it's not really a day off, so which
- 31:40Speaker 4: I'm so happy to be here. It's like your your
- 31:44Speaker 4: energy levels are like I wake up in the morning.
- 31:47Speaker 4: I woke up this morning and it's like you're My
- 31:50Speaker 4: eyes are like hanging in my head. I'm like, I'm
- 31:54Speaker 4: asking and just you feel like a corpse. But you're
- 32:00Speaker 4: so grateful, Like I'm so grateful.
- 32:04Speaker 3: It's so amazing. I just could you do this for
- 32:07Speaker 3: a week, maybe more so after the show when you
- 32:11Speaker 3: go back to stay here. You're gonna stay. I'm so
- 32:14Speaker 3: happy you're gonna stay here.
- 32:15Speaker 4: I stay here. I'll be here for like, I'll be
- 32:17Speaker 4: here for a little less than a month, and then
- 32:20Speaker 4: I'm going to start just looking at areas and looking.
- 32:22Speaker 3: At places, and you, like Brooklyn New said, right.
- 32:25Speaker 2: I do.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Like I'm in Greenpoint right now. I love it. I
- 32:27Speaker 4: have friends over there.
- 32:30Speaker 3: That's that's how my mother is from Greenpoint.
- 32:32Speaker 4: It's great over there. I mean, I love Manhattan too.
- 32:35Speaker 3: I would place now, that's what all.
- 32:38Speaker 6: The people are saying, Yep, it's like Williamsburg Greenpoint is great,
- 32:43Speaker 6: like these are all My friend of mine lives in Dumbo,
- 32:47Speaker 6: Like there's so many great places.
- 32:49Speaker 4: A couple other friends of mine just moved.
- 32:51Speaker 3: The story in Queens is a big place now. Yeah,
- 32:53Speaker 3: Ridgewood now and Queens. Everybody's moving down from Williamsburg.
- 32:56Speaker 4: How far is that.
- 32:57Speaker 3: From the city's twenty five minutes.
- 33:00Speaker 4: It's all relative.
- 33:01Speaker 3: But if you I mean whether if you drive, it
- 33:05Speaker 3: just depends in rush out, like it takes an hour
- 33:08Speaker 3: and a half to get to.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Buy to my car.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't want the car.
- 33:11Speaker 4: I want to just be here and like I just
- 33:13Speaker 4: love I just love it. I love it like truly
- 33:17Speaker 4: I love I'm from La, so this is not like
- 33:20Speaker 4: I love LA and I will always love La and
- 33:23Speaker 4: La will always be my home, my family there, My
- 33:25Speaker 4: mom is there right now with my stepdad, like it's home.
- 33:29Speaker 4: But there's something to me about even just like when
- 33:33Speaker 4: I met you at dinner, the instantness and you're like
- 33:38Speaker 4: this that does not happen where You're like, we're gonna come,
- 33:42Speaker 4: We're gonna support the what and you guys showed up
- 33:44Speaker 4: for me on my first night and I am not
- 33:46Speaker 4: saying that, like I don't. I haven't been friends with
- 33:50Speaker 4: you for a year even like you guys, just it's
- 33:53Speaker 4: like a community here, and I think you have people's backs.
- 33:57Speaker 3: That's the different I think La. It's very trans to
- 34:00Speaker 3: get Yes, Like I know friends who've moved to LA
- 34:02Speaker 3: and they're like John, there's nobody here that knows each
- 34:04Speaker 3: other past like four years.
- 34:06Speaker 4: And everyone is like new best friends. And then everything
- 34:09Speaker 4: is very widespread. So that's the whole thing, Like you
- 34:14Speaker 4: can't you can't do things. My friend, one of my
- 34:17Speaker 4: best friend lives in Silver Lake, and then my other
- 34:20Speaker 4: friend lives in Venice Beach. That's an hour drive because
- 34:26Speaker 4: the traffic is never going to be good enough that
- 34:30Speaker 4: you're going to get there quickly unless you're driving at
- 34:32Speaker 4: like one o'clock in the morning, that's it. And then
- 34:33Speaker 4: it's still thirty something minutes. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 34:37Speaker 3: How long it takes to get somewhere. Like in West.
- 34:40Speaker 4: Hollywood, was so much time in your car, Oh my god,
- 34:42Speaker 4: And here it's like easy, like you're on the subway,
- 34:45Speaker 4: walking or moving all the things.
- 34:47Speaker 3: It's and I just like you said, it's just more
- 34:50Speaker 3: it's more of a community. I don't think it is
- 34:52Speaker 3: as much inside the city as it used to be.
- 34:55Speaker 3: I think more like in the boroughs. It's still like
- 34:57Speaker 3: that with like you know, everybody still just like neighborhoods
- 35:01Speaker 3: and people know each other for a long time. I mean,
- 35:04Speaker 3: I mean, I'm still friends with people I've been friends
- 35:05Speaker 3: with since I'm four years old and I'm still friends.
- 35:07Speaker 3: See that's so great.
- 35:08Speaker 4: And you know what's so funny, says that two of
- 35:10Speaker 4: my childhood best friends live here. That's not and we
- 35:15Speaker 4: are so close and so that's also been so special
- 35:18Speaker 4: for me. It's because I'm like.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Oh, they love it here. They'll never go back to
- 35:22Speaker 3: La no no, no, no, no no.
- 35:27Speaker 4: They love it here. Like so they are just locked in.
- 35:30Speaker 4: They have great friends, great community, have a lot of
- 35:32Speaker 4: I have a lot of friends here. Like sometimes I'm like,
- 35:35Speaker 4: I don't know how I have this many PIDs and
- 35:37Speaker 4: now I have more friends.
- 35:38Speaker 3: You do and you have us. We love We show
- 35:42Speaker 3: up with people. That's how you do. We do. We'll
- 35:45Speaker 3: like that, you know if we like you. And you know, listen,
- 35:48Speaker 3: we don't. I don't take many people into my grow
- 35:52Speaker 3: like you know that that quickly. But when you know
- 35:55Speaker 3: when you know that you know somebody and you have
- 35:57Speaker 3: I'm an EmPATH. I could feel somebody's energy. You have
- 35:59Speaker 3: great energy, and I just I loved you the minute
- 36:01Speaker 3: I met you.
- 36:03Speaker 4: So do I just absolutely ad I love you.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I love you to You're so sweet. Oh my god,
- 36:14Speaker 3: I got the love with the No, but you you are.
- 36:21Speaker 3: I mean, the minute I met you, I thought you
- 36:23Speaker 3: were just like my type of person, you know, and
- 36:27Speaker 3: it's I don't know about you, but as I'm getting older,
- 36:31Speaker 3: I don't. I don't just make friends, you know, listen,
- 36:33Speaker 3: just friends in the industry that you have to be
- 36:35Speaker 3: nice to. There's people that you know, my patients, of course,
- 36:39Speaker 3: I have to be nice to them. I hate their gods,
- 36:41Speaker 3: but I have to be nice to them. But there's
- 36:44Speaker 3: people who you're gonna you know now is going to
- 36:46Speaker 3: be part of your circle and you're gonna hang out
- 36:49Speaker 3: with and spend time with this person like you got
- 36:51Speaker 3: to really, you know, as you get older, it's not
- 36:54Speaker 3: that easy.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Bullship meter goes, Yeah, you can have time. You no sense, No,
- 37:01Speaker 4: you're tired. People are tired. There were like all trying
- 37:04Speaker 4: to survive at this point, like right now, Like I
- 37:06Speaker 4: just think, like you don't have time for any of that.
- 37:10Speaker 4: So I think who you're surrounding yourself with this really important.
- 37:12Speaker 3: It's very important, and that's I'm glad that you have
- 37:15Speaker 3: your two friends, thanks too. That's good.
- 37:18Speaker 4: There are my chat and then I have It's just
- 37:19Speaker 4: a wonderful group of other people that I've known for
- 37:24Speaker 4: years or some people have moved here from LA. So
- 37:26Speaker 4: it's just been really nice. Like I think a lot
- 37:28Speaker 4: of people are coming here they want something different, different.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Yeah, because every it's like every few years it's different.
- 37:36Speaker 3: It's like everybody wants to they're coming to New York,
- 37:38Speaker 3: and then the reverses and then everybody goes to LA
- 37:40Speaker 3: or there. Some people go to different states like there
- 37:43Speaker 3: was a big mess, uh, you know, exibits. Some people
- 37:46Speaker 3: are going to like the Catalinas, Like I know a
- 37:49Speaker 3: lot of people who moved to the cat I may I.
- 37:52Speaker 3: I don't think I could ever move to the south
- 37:54Speaker 3: and stay there forever. I could visit.
- 37:57Speaker 4: I'm in either gonna it's for me, it's New York
- 37:59Speaker 4: or and I'm not like there's no or I'm in
- 38:03Speaker 4: Europe like one of those I mean Europe.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I can't stay there for that long either I really Yeah,
- 38:08Speaker 3: I kiss the ground when I come home. You love it?
- 38:12Speaker 4: You are I.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Kiss the ground when I come home? I do, I can't.
- 38:16Speaker 3: I'm just I love it there like I love Italy
- 38:18Speaker 3: when I go. But I'm like, I want to go home,
- 38:22Speaker 3: like I yeah, I need to be here. Yeah, for
- 38:26Speaker 3: whatever reason.
- 38:27Speaker 4: This really does have especially here, it just does have
- 38:32Speaker 4: a sense of home.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it does.
- 38:34Speaker 4: I get it.
- 38:35Speaker 3: It does. It really does. I mean, you know, and
- 38:38Speaker 3: I you know, I it's it's I think for New
- 38:42Speaker 3: York because especially it's hard to transition to someplace else.
- 38:45Speaker 3: I really yeah, I think so too.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Also, the the way that the city is set up.
- 38:50Speaker 4: I think that the beauty of it is is that
- 38:53Speaker 4: you can go from place to place and be go
- 38:56Speaker 4: do different things, and like you can bounce from place
- 38:59Speaker 4: to place. You just can't do that other places.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Yeah. No, Here there's you could do anything and one
- 39:04Speaker 3: night you could you know, feel like I feel like
- 39:07Speaker 3: a visit a twenty seven different Yes, and each.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Area is different, yes, so because it's all sort of
- 39:14Speaker 4: like that too.
- 39:15Speaker 3: But yeah, but in a smaller spread out scale, yes, right,
- 39:21Speaker 3: taking nine miles.
- 39:22Speaker 4: People are like, we don't understand, so la is like
- 39:24Speaker 4: I'm like, La is like the biggest city, and then
- 39:27Speaker 4: there's like cities within the city, like there's You're just
- 39:31Speaker 4: so huge, you know.
- 39:33Speaker 3: I mean, California it's to be a bad massive it's
- 39:36Speaker 3: a I mean, it's a beautiful state.
- 39:38Speaker 4: I love it. I mean, I do love it. It's beautiful.
- 39:40Speaker 4: It's the only it is such beauty that that's why
- 39:44Speaker 4: I think that there's it's sometimes hard for people to
- 39:47Speaker 4: leave the weather, the beauty, the there's a lot of
- 39:51Speaker 4: magic there. But I would also argue that here, I mean,
- 39:54Speaker 4: I know that the weather is not as good at
- 39:58Speaker 4: all compared to La weather, but there's really something magical
- 40:02Speaker 4: about this city. There is in mind, and you have
- 40:05Speaker 4: like a whole other beauty of like seasons. We don't
- 40:08Speaker 4: have seasons. So that's the one thing in La for
- 40:10Speaker 4: me is that every day feels sort of like the
- 40:12Speaker 4: same because it's there's no change in season.
- 40:18Speaker 3: What movie was that and that Steve Martin did that
- 40:20Speaker 3: he was the news the weather man and every day
- 40:22Speaker 3: was the same.
- 40:23Speaker 4: It was like, oh yeah, what what was that movie?
- 40:26Speaker 3: And I was like this, it was the same temperature,
- 40:29Speaker 3: it was like the same news. I can't remember it
- 40:32Speaker 3: was him. I think Kevin Klein was in that movie.
- 40:34Speaker 3: But it was l A l A l A Something
- 40:36Speaker 3: l A story maybe, oh maybe something LA.
- 40:39Speaker 4: Something Steve Martin nine when don't go watch those movies.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it was just like every day. It
- 40:44Speaker 3: was the same thing every time. But it's the same thing.
- 40:48Speaker 4: It really is that though.
- 40:49Speaker 3: But it's beautiful and everybody's outside though.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Yeah, people are outside, not as much as people are
- 40:53Speaker 4: outside here though, Like when it gets nice here, people
- 40:57Speaker 4: go feral. Yeah, because people are out in the streets.
- 41:01Speaker 3: If everybody's bodies look better in La though, I think so.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I think so, even in the city. You think that
- 41:07Speaker 3: people I do. I think that people are more into
- 41:10Speaker 3: the health I think in La. I'm not saying that
- 41:12Speaker 3: we're not. The people here are not healthy, but I
- 41:16Speaker 3: think that l A is more. You always think of
- 41:17Speaker 3: them like outside doing watersports. Yeah, on their bikes all day.
- 41:22Speaker 3: I mean, even though there's a lot of bikers now
- 41:24Speaker 3: in the city, which is crazy. Almost got ronov one
- 41:27Speaker 3: yesterday in little Italy. You gotta watch every changer. Yeah,
- 41:31Speaker 3: and they don't stop here.
- 41:32Speaker 4: Yeah, the bikers are crazy. They're insane. They're insane. I
- 41:38Speaker 4: am Yeah, I I l A in general is very
- 41:43Speaker 4: health conscious, but I think you can find that and
- 41:45Speaker 4: I think it's what you make of it.
- 41:46Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean I like it. I like
- 41:50Speaker 3: to visit LA, but I would never be able to
- 41:53Speaker 3: live there. I'm just yeah, and I go and I
- 41:58Speaker 3: snow bird to Florida. There you and that's another place.
- 42:01Speaker 3: I can't stay too long.
- 42:02Speaker 4: I can't say I'm hard of it too long either,
- 42:03Speaker 4: So don't feel bad.
- 42:04Speaker 3: I'm like, I got to get out of yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 42:06Speaker 3: I mean it's great, and then you go there you
- 42:07Speaker 3: love it, and then it's like, oh my no, you
- 42:09Speaker 3: got to come home. I gotta come. Yeah. Well, we're glad.
- 42:12Speaker 3: We're glad that you're going to be calling New York your.
