  obvious is the last one, so they're probably going to

  be very, very very cautious. But what do we expect

  tonight for the Eagles and the Jets and the importance

  of this game for probably more players in this preseason

  finale than we've seen the last couple of years.

  Speaker 2: Mike, it's funny you say that because I just earlier

  this afternoon, I was just I just kind of cool.

  I was curious over the previous four years, and it

  was Nick Seriani's first four years. As you know, in

  year five, what did they do in the final preseason game? Remember,

  they were still doing it? I think twenty I think

  they went to three games in twenty twenty if I'm

  This is a Saturdy one Eastern game against the Colts.

  Eagles hosted it. Joan Gotta got cut, Drewdan Hasselwood got cut,

  Fred Johnson was on the team. Julian good Jones got cut,

  Josh Andrews retired, got cut, got retired. Tyler Steen we

  know his situation. He is now starting at right guard.

  Dennis Kelly, they we thought it was going to retire.

  He played. He was with Eagles in the preseas, then retired.

  Darren Arnold, Dion Kane, Marcus Mariota, and Trey Sermon. Mike,

  that just gives you an example of kind of what

  Most of those guys were cut, by the way, who

  are battling for those number five number six receiver jobs.

  got a chance to be the fourth running back where

  certainly if they cut him be on the practice squad.

  Shn Derrick Powell will be certainly be playing that night.

  John Metschi, who's definitely got to play. We expected me

  on the team, but they need to get him raps

  but he's certainly gonna be on the practice squad. An

  offensive lineman Kennall Lamb Garan Canard who we mentioned Drew Kendell.

  Who should he should start at center? I said should,

  it's not a lot, they may try him. Acguard Trevor Keegan,

  by the way, who has been a disappointment so far,

  who could be he could be a center or left guard,

  Kenyon Green, who came back this week at work with

  the twos, so you'll see them, and obviously Don Dorian Thompson,

  Robinson and Kyle Mccordmike, we expect a quarterback tonight. All right.

  Speaker 1: So on offense, as we know Adam, coming into camp,

  there was not a lot of offensive storylines. You know,

  right guard was never really a battle. The Dickerson injury

  made left guard a little bit of a conversation, and

  as you said, fifth six wide receivers. But Metchi getting

  here and Wilson getting hurt. You know, we talked about

  this in the three o'clock hour, Adam that Wilson doesn't

  have numbers, but you had a two thousand yard rusher

  last year. He got a six foot six, two hundred

  and thirty pound wide receiver. He's a big part of

  their run game.

  struggle to score in this game with what they're going

  Now Tuesday, four o'clock. This is a different world than

  one cutdown day then the next cut all they're getting

  down to fifty three on Tuesday.

  the early two thousands, they actually had three or four cutdowns.

  It was like ninety seventy five, seventy and fifty three,

  then ninety to seventy, then fifty three. Then they cut

  it in the middle out and now it's ninety to

  fifty three. In fact, it's just I just got the Patriots.

  The Patriots. That's interesting because they I believe they played

  know who was claimed and not claimed, and then by

  practice squad. It's seventeen players, one international player that would

  be lake In Vaja Laki, and then the sixteen regular players.

  And that's it. Now. The thing is this happens a

  lot where the club will tell the agent and the

  player listen, if you pass through waivers, we want you back.

  But once they passed through waivers, they are immediately street

  free agents. Eagles in that case would be bidding against

  thirty one other teams potentially obviously to thirty one teams

  arent going to win a player if you passed through waivers.

  But there'll be some players where there'll be some competition.

  So they'll be some players because the egos simply just

  don't get back. Now. Part of it is that maybe

  a club says, you know what, we like you. We'll

  actually give you a really good practice squad guarantee, or

  you know what, we'll sign it to our fifty three

  men roster. We think he could play on a special team.

  So there'll be some players. Remember Clayton throws and this

  is funny, he goes quarterback pick many years ago. Yeah,

  a quarterback out of Michigan State. He turned down the egos.

  Doug Petershall went public with it. He goes, hey, we

  wanted a back to practice, but he went to Dallas instead,

  and unfortunately with Clayton didn't work out for him very well.

  Adam is the fifty three on Tuesday will not potentially

  be the fifty three that starts the season on Thursday

  the night. So just because they get down on four

  o'clock on Tuesday, that doesn't mean they're not scouring around

  looking for other.

  What happens is if they claim a player, they could

  Wednesday waiver claims that. Now what happens is this is

  even worse. If you claim a player at twelve thirty,

  you have till four. There's there are two transaction deadlines

  on Wednesday. It's twelve thirty and four pm Eastern. So

  what happens is you don't have to submit your cut,

  your your roster spot until four pm for three and
• 12:35
  a half hours. Someone who thought they were going to
• 12:36
  be on the team could not be. So it's a
• 12:38
  lot of what we call the roster tango.

  Speaker 1: The roster tango it concludes after the game tonight, but

  there'll be some more steps in that dance on Tuesday

  when they cut down to fifty three. And then, of course,

  as we just mentioned, they could make some more changes

  as well. We'll see if Howie also makes a move.
