Amazon TorchNeuron: PyTorch on Trainium Takes Aim at Nvidia CUDA
TorchNeuron enters public beta on October 20, and with it Amazon moves its challenge to Nvidia from the chip to the cost of leaving CUDA. The first release skips about 22,000 PyTorch tests. Over the next quarter it will therefore be more useful for negotiating GPU contract renewals than for migrating production models.
