A grass fire erupted near Parleys Canyon on Monday afternoon, sending thick smoke into the air and forcing eastbound Interstate 80 to shut down. Flames reached 20-30 feet high along the north side of Parleys Historic Nature Park, with crews racing to contain the blaze before it spread further.
