- 0:03Speaker 1: You want a family. Good morning, God bless you. Welcome
- 0:06Speaker 1: back to the Morning DeVos.
- 0:07Speaker 2: You bro. Sam Lopez aka DJ Sam Rock so.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Win Is with a z dot org live do so
- 0:12Speaker 1: win is with a z dot org and streaming on
- 0:15Speaker 1: some social media platforms that allow the stream to go through.
- 0:18Speaker 1: If you're sharing this out on through the radio, through
- 0:21Speaker 1: the podcast, through social media, thank you so much for
- 0:24Speaker 1: sharing this out. I really am grateful that you allow
- 0:27Speaker 1: us to go to.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Your family, your friends, your groups.
- 0:30Speaker 1: It's a blessing to have you back this week, New week,
- 0:34Speaker 1: New time. It's hot off here in the Northeast. And
- 0:37Speaker 1: of course we're gonna be praying for the families that
- 0:40Speaker 1: lost children, lost family members over in Texas.
- 0:43Speaker 2: That was a horrible situation. And like I said, day
- 0:47Speaker 2: to day, we're here today, gone tomorrow. You never know.
- 0:50Speaker 1: That's why I always encourage people to reconcile with the Lord,
- 0:54Speaker 1: to get right with God before tomorrow, like the day
- 0:59Speaker 1: of Salvation is to because we never know what's gonna happen.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So my heart felt prayers go out to the families
- 1:06Speaker 1: in Texas that lost loved one or loved ones or children.
- 1:09Speaker 2: It's just a horrible situation.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Over there, and the world is broken, and people don't
- 1:17Speaker 1: realize the goodness of God because of the brokenness of
- 1:19Speaker 1: this world. But when you're broken, you and I need
- 1:24Speaker 1: to know that we need to be fixed. And the
- 1:27Speaker 1: one who fixes things, the one who gives us eternal life,
- 1:30Speaker 1: the one who puts things together for the good, is
- 1:33Speaker 1: the Lord Jesus himself. My brother, Robbie Newborn, Robert Diaz, God,
- 1:37Speaker 1: bless you, man, It's good to see you in the morning, Devo.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Blessing to you, my bros. Fellowship and community today.
- 1:44Speaker 1: We're gonna be talking about it, Fellowship and community today
- 1:48Speaker 1: in the morning, Devot.
- 1:50Speaker 2: We need each other, man.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I've been saying that, and I've known that ever since
- 1:54Speaker 1: I was a kid, that we need community. We need
- 1:57Speaker 1: to stick around, we need to stay together, we need
- 1:59Speaker 1: to be unified. We need to be concerned about what
- 2:02Speaker 1: other people are concerned with. We need to show love, support, prayer. Right,
- 2:08Speaker 1: They shared meals, prayed together, supported each other's needs, and
- 2:13Speaker 1: lived in authentic community. Who does that sound like I'm
- 2:17Speaker 1: gonna say that again? They shared meals. In other words,
- 2:21Speaker 1: they broke bread, prayed together, supported each other's needs, and
- 2:26Speaker 1: lived in authentic community. Who does that sound like? If
- 2:31Speaker 1: you know a community like that, praise God and men
- 2:34Speaker 1: stick to that community. But I'm going to be talking
- 2:37Speaker 1: about the early Church in the Book of Acts, Acts,
- 2:41Speaker 1: chapter two, verse forty four. They lived the life. Weren't perfect, right,
- 2:46Speaker 1: because they're humans, just like we are humans. But what
- 2:50Speaker 1: they did do what they were inspired by Holy Spirit
- 2:55Speaker 1: to have this community, to have this fellowship and community
- 3:00Speaker 1: because they know without fellowship, they knew with our fellowship,
- 3:04Speaker 1: what are they doing?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Right?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Without unity, you have disunity, without order, you have chaos
- 3:10Speaker 1: without the Lord, you have humanism. Right, So it's amazing
- 3:16Speaker 1: when I look at it and like alive, I'd be like, wow,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I wish we could get back to some sort of
- 3:23Speaker 1: fellowship and community, Biblical fellowship and community.
- 3:28Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying. Amen, So let's go for If
- 3:31Speaker 2: you have any questions, comments, concerns, pray requests, or anything
- 3:34Speaker 2: along those lines, please don't hesitate to leave it on
- 3:37Speaker 2: a live chat.
- 3:37Speaker 1: That's what we're here for. It'd be in Acts chapter two,
- 3:40Speaker 1: verse forty four was start there, amen, and see where
- 3:44Speaker 1: the Lord leads. Amen, See what the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit,
- 3:48Speaker 1: God leads, because this is part of God's economy, part
- 3:53Speaker 1: of the way he wants the body to move, part
- 3:57Speaker 1: of the way that he wants us to know how
- 4:00Speaker 1: to respond to one another. Sister Joanne, I see you.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to the morning Devo.
- 4:05Speaker 1: We're gonna pray first. After we pray or shut us
- 4:08Speaker 1: out for like sixty seconds, and then on the other
- 4:10Speaker 1: side of the sixty we'll get right into today's morning Devo.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Fellowship and community. Father, I thank you for today. I
- 4:18Speaker 1: pray for all the people in Texas right now, that you,
- 4:22Speaker 1: Lord God, will comfort those who lost loved ones, that
- 4:26Speaker 1: you would encourage those who are seeking and searching for
- 4:30Speaker 1: people that are still not found in sexist lorg God,
- 4:33Speaker 1: that you would be the guide in light, that you
- 4:35Speaker 1: would be the hope, that you will be their love,
- 4:37Speaker 1: that you will be their comforter. I pray, Lord God
- 4:40Speaker 1: for all people in the situation that they're facing today.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I pray the peace of God which transcends all understanding.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And be upon me, my family, and be upon those
- 4:51Speaker 1: watching and listening right now in the Holy name of Jesus,
- 4:54Speaker 1: Lord God, I pray that we will continue to react
- 4:57Speaker 1: and respond accordingly, that we will be prepared for what's
- 5:00Speaker 1: to come, that we will be ready.
- 5:03Speaker 2: For your return, that we will be.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Continually seeking, asking and knocking from the Kingdom's perspective according
- 5:12Speaker 1: to your word and purpose in our lives. I pray
- 5:14Speaker 1: to God that you will help us with this biblical
- 5:16Speaker 1: fellowship and community, that you would show us how that
- 5:20Speaker 1: you will continue to encourage us to be connected towards
- 5:23Speaker 1: one another, with one another in one accord in unity,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and that you will help us be the helpers to
- 5:31Speaker 1: those who need the help, and the comforters who need
- 5:34Speaker 1: to be comforted, and the glue that you want us
- 5:38Speaker 1: to be according to your word.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Amen.
- 5:41Speaker 1: So I pray lo God, the piece of God, the
- 5:44Speaker 1: protection I had, Your protection over myself, my wife, are children,
- 5:47Speaker 1: our grandchildren, a man, my son and his children and
- 5:51Speaker 1: his family, his wife as well. I pray Psalm ninety one,
- 5:54Speaker 1: and I speak that over every single person that's connecting
- 5:57Speaker 1: now or will connect later in Jesus Holy name. Prayer
- 6:00Speaker 1: is by faith in Jesus' name, and those who agree
- 6:03Speaker 1: with the prayer, we.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Say amen to that. Amen.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I'll be right back sixty seconds. How we shut this out.
- 6:08Speaker 1: When we come back, we'll get right into it. Fellowship
- 6:11Speaker 1: and community on the morning Devo. I'll be right back, heymen,
- 7:27Speaker 1: let's go for it.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Back.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Fellowship and community seems so Christianese, right, It seems like, man,
- 7:37Speaker 1: is that possible in the times that we're living in
- 7:40Speaker 1: right now, that we could look at the example of
- 7:43Speaker 1: the birth of the first century Church and try to
- 7:47Speaker 1: be that way and live that way and move that way.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Do you think they have a different Holy Spirit that
- 7:53Speaker 1: they were filled by and filled with? Or this is
- 7:57Speaker 1: the same Holy spirit, the same holy spirit that's spoken
- 8:00Speaker 1: about in the Old Covenant, in the New Covenant, that
- 8:02Speaker 1: was filled that filled the people in an upper room
- 8:07Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty and they ran out of that
- 8:10Speaker 1: room speaking in different languages, and men baptizing, laying hands
- 8:15Speaker 1: on the sick, and they were recovering, preaching the gospel,
- 8:18Speaker 1: and God himself was adding to the fold, adding to
- 8:20Speaker 1: their number. Is this a different Holy Spirit that the
- 8:23Speaker 1: Book of Acts was talking about? Or the same holy
- 8:26Speaker 1: spirit a man that united the people then and can
- 8:30Speaker 1: unite the people now, and that is uniting people now,
- 8:33Speaker 1: I should say, amen. So I know I've said it before,
- 8:38Speaker 1: and a lot of them as to the first century Church,
- 8:41Speaker 1: the way they were well. Number one, we're not the
- 8:44Speaker 1: first century on them anymore. But I understand, I understand
- 8:48Speaker 1: the meaning behind that is almost like, listen, we have
- 8:51Speaker 1: a blueprint, if we have the manual, if you have
- 8:54Speaker 1: the master plan, or why are we deviating? Why are
- 8:57Speaker 1: we trying to recreate the.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Wheel when we were? You have an example in the scriptures. Amen.
- 9:03Speaker 1: So I just want to encourage people today not to
- 9:05Speaker 1: sparkle any kind of argument or anything like that. It's
- 9:10Speaker 1: just just to look at the word, look at the scripture. Amen,
- 9:12Speaker 1: devote some time in the scripture and allow Holy Spirit
- 9:15Speaker 1: to speak through the scripture. You ready, Let's go for it.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Fellowship and community, Amen. So you know, me and my
- 9:25Speaker 1: wife and my family, we're all about fellowship.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Amen.
- 9:29Speaker 1: We love to get together with other people, other families,
- 9:32Speaker 1: get to know other families, get to know other communities.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Amen.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And fellowship a fellowship when you mix it with community, Amen,
- 9:40Speaker 1: is just more powerful. Acts Chapter two, verse forty four.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And all those whoever, those people were right, who have
- 9:48Speaker 1: believed in Jesus as Savior that could speak to us now,
- 9:53Speaker 1: were together and had all things in common, considering their possessions.
- 10:00Speaker 2: To belong to the group as a whole.
- 10:04Speaker 1: And I know in these days and times, we almost
- 10:07Speaker 1: did it. I was in the ministry years ago called
- 10:09Speaker 1: the Holy Underground, and we looked at the Book of Acts.
- 10:12Speaker 1: We studied the Book of Acts, and we were right
- 10:14Speaker 1: about to sign off and agree to put all our
- 10:18Speaker 1: possessions together. But of course, you know, we got cold feet,
- 10:23Speaker 1: including myself.
- 10:24Speaker 2: And we said, nah, we can't do it right.
- 10:27Speaker 1: No one wanted to, you know, really dive into that
- 10:30Speaker 1: because it's a scary thing.
- 10:32Speaker 2: It shouldn't be.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But and now our days now, putting all our possessions
- 10:37Speaker 1: together right is no Some people might call it suspect,
- 10:43Speaker 1: but it is what the early church did.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I mean, we is plain to see.
- 10:48Speaker 1: But the wane, I see you good morning, got blessed
- 10:51Speaker 1: and he sent him blessing to everybody that's tuned in God,
- 10:53Speaker 1: bless you, bro. It's good to see you on the morning.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Devo and all those who had believed. So we're believers, right,
- 11:00Speaker 1: We believe in Jesus as Savior, were together and had
- 11:05Speaker 1: all things in common. And I believe that all things
- 11:07Speaker 1: in common part means that.
- 11:10Speaker 2: They were human. They had human need.
- 11:13Speaker 1: They need to eat, they need to drink, they need
- 11:15Speaker 1: to get things paid for. They had families, children, homes. Right,
- 11:21Speaker 1: So we're together and had all things in common. It's
- 11:25Speaker 1: still relevant like if you're a human listening or watching,
- 11:30Speaker 1: we have something in common. I'm a human too. You
- 11:33Speaker 1: have needs. I have needs to. You need fellowship. I
- 11:36Speaker 1: need fellowship too. You need community, I need community to.
- 11:39Speaker 1: You need the Lord. I need the Lord too.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Amen.
- 11:42Speaker 1: So considering their possessions to belong to the group as
- 11:48Speaker 1: a whole. So this wasn't just you know, oh man,
- 11:52Speaker 1: you got to be a member.
- 11:53Speaker 2: You have to be exclusive. This exclusive that.
- 11:55Speaker 1: No, they knew the power of fellowship. If you wanted
- 11:59Speaker 1: to follow, you should have fellowship. So it's followship and
- 12:02Speaker 1: fellowship and community. Community has that word common, community has
- 12:08Speaker 1: that word commune. Community has that word community, communion that
- 12:12Speaker 1: big word community for a believer, And we get the
- 12:16Speaker 1: understanding man and put it in its proper perspective. The
- 12:19Speaker 1: world's gonna see that we belong to the Lord, just
- 12:22Speaker 1: like the scripture says, the world's gonna know that we
- 12:25Speaker 1: follow Jesus, that we belong to the Lord. Why because
- 12:29Speaker 1: the love that we have and we share with one another.
- 12:32Speaker 1: The world doesn't see the Seppler. That's why we have
- 12:34Speaker 1: the upper hand when it comes to the love game.
- 12:37Speaker 1: We should be loving one another like Jesus loved the church, Amen,
- 12:42Speaker 1: and gave his life up for us.
- 12:44Speaker 2: And not only for us.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Jesus died once for all whosoever calls upon the name
- 12:50Speaker 1: of the Lord shall be saved. He gave us access
- 12:54Speaker 1: to this salvation. He gave us access to the promises.
- 12:58Speaker 1: He gave us access to a turn life.
- 13:00Speaker 2: He gave it access to the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And not only that, he transformed them hearts, and he
- 13:05Speaker 1: transformed the minds, and he gave us the keys to life.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Amen.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And also he calls us, you know, royal priesthood, salt
- 13:14Speaker 1: of the earth, the light of the world. Like God
- 13:17Speaker 1: gave us the goods by way of Holy Spirit. God
- 13:19Speaker 1: gave us the goods because of the sacrifice of the Lord.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And the Father loves us so much that he sent
- 13:24Speaker 1: his only begotten son to save us. This is an
- 13:27Speaker 1: amazing and amazing gospel. This is an amazing ability that
- 13:32Speaker 1: we have to have fellowship and community. You could look
- 13:36Speaker 1: at different religions and they have fellowship, they have community,
- 13:40Speaker 1: but they don't have a Savior. We have the Savior, Amen.
- 13:43Speaker 1: And that's the kicker right there. That's the big difference
- 13:46Speaker 1: between us as believers and other people that believe in
- 13:51Speaker 1: other deities of the Gods, other precepts of the principles.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Amen.
- 13:56Speaker 1: They don't have this fellowship, they don't have this community, Amen,
- 14:00Speaker 1: that we're talking about.
- 14:01Speaker 2: And that's not to boast.
- 14:02Speaker 1: That's just to show you that not all of us
- 14:05Speaker 1: are on the same level when it comes to who
- 14:09Speaker 1: we serve and how we serve, Amen, is different.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I mean there's similarities. Right.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I had our job's witnesses come to the house on
- 14:21Speaker 1: Saturday and knock on the door, and my wife looked
- 14:24Speaker 1: at me and said, you get open the door. Ass
- 14:25Speaker 1: of course, you know, I believe that we could have
- 14:28Speaker 1: intelligent discussions, that we could be cordial, and that we could.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Respect one another as image bearers of God.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But of course, you know, I always tell I'm trying
- 14:40Speaker 1: to be the most kindest person and always tidden, listen,
- 14:43Speaker 1: we're not gonna agree, but let's get to the common
- 14:46Speaker 1: ground here, right. And although at the end I always say,
- 14:50Speaker 1: you're not gonna pray with me, and they said, no,
- 14:53Speaker 1: we'll pray for you.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Is they don't pray.
- 14:56Speaker 1: With a person who's not in their society. Right, So
- 15:03Speaker 1: there's a lot going on. But I did tell them
- 15:05Speaker 1: one thing. I said, I wish I had the fellowship
- 15:06Speaker 1: and community that you guys have because you wholeheartedly believe
- 15:10Speaker 1: in what you're doing. They're knocking door to door, and
- 15:13Speaker 1: we as believers, I told them, we should be the
- 15:15Speaker 1: one as Christ followers. Knowing that Christ is Jesus, the Christ,
- 15:20Speaker 1: the God of having an earth right in the form
- 15:24Speaker 1: of a man. We know his deity. We know Holy
- 15:27Speaker 1: Spirit is not a force. We know Holy Spirit as
- 15:29Speaker 1: a person, we should be the ones knocking on the doors.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Amen.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And in my territory at least, there's not a lot
- 15:37Speaker 1: of that going on. But you see them as they
- 15:40Speaker 1: have their schedules on Saturdays and they have these I
- 15:43Speaker 1: guess mapped.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Out homes to reach. They're out there.
- 15:48Speaker 1: They're out there with their billboards, they out there with
- 15:50Speaker 1: their pamphlets, they're out there with their belief system, and
- 15:53Speaker 1: they're out there. We should be out there too, right.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I know we all have lives. I have children. I'm
- 15:57Speaker 1: doing things over again. I have little children, young children,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and I know it's not as easy as it was before.
- 16:04Speaker 1: But we should be out there and how do we
- 16:07Speaker 1: share this fellowship and community?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Or we start with the body, We start with the
- 16:11Speaker 2: people we love.
- 16:12Speaker 1: We start with our families, We start with our church,
- 16:14Speaker 1: We start with the communities of believers. We start with
- 16:17Speaker 1: the people who have common things you know with each other.
- 16:21Speaker 2: You're a human. I'm a human.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And if you're not a human, Jesus Lord and your
- 16:25Speaker 1: planet or wherever you're watching phone or listening from as well.
- 16:29Speaker 1: But community and fellowship is powerful, man, especially when you're
- 16:33Speaker 1: on that frequency that belongs to the Holy Spirit.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Amen. But the John, did I see you? Man? God
- 16:39Speaker 2: bless you good to see you on the morning. Devil.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Let me get to my notes real quick. I don't
- 16:43Speaker 2: have a lot.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I don't have a lot of notes because this is
- 16:45Speaker 1: all on the Book of Acts. You could call this
- 16:49Speaker 1: deep fellowship in community, because when you have fellowship and community,
- 16:52Speaker 1: it's different than something that's surface.
- 16:55Speaker 2: You want to pass the surface level.
- 16:57Speaker 1: You want to really have relationships with people, man, you
- 17:01Speaker 1: want to have meaningful relationships. We want to encourage one another,
- 17:04Speaker 1: pray with one another, pray for one another.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Amen.
- 17:07Speaker 1: We want to just go out there and reach people
- 17:09Speaker 1: with the Gospel right. We want to study the scriptures,
- 17:12Speaker 1: we want to feel and sense other people's pain. We're
- 17:17Speaker 1: going to feel it if we have Holy Spirit living
- 17:19Speaker 1: inside of us. For people in the early Church, they
- 17:23Speaker 1: also devoted to God's Word. They were devoted to God's
- 17:27Speaker 1: Word and the teachings of the apostles. These morning devotions
- 17:32Speaker 1: are inspired by Holy Spirit. And I'm encouraging you. I'm
- 17:35Speaker 1: not the apostle. You could maybe people call me an apostle, whatever,
- 17:38Speaker 1: But what I'm saying is we should be devoted to
- 17:41Speaker 1: the teachings of those who came before us as long
- 17:44Speaker 1: as it is biblical right, and being devoted to the
- 17:47Speaker 1: Word of God.
- 17:48Speaker 2: That way, we can't miss.
- 17:50Speaker 1: When you're connected with the Word of God, and I'm
- 17:52Speaker 1: connected with the Word of God, we can't miss. Could
- 17:54Speaker 1: we be wrong, could we misinterpret things? Of course, But
- 17:57Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. If we're relying on Holy Spirit while we're reading, studying, fellowshipping, Amen,
- 18:02Speaker 1: and listening to the teachings of our leaders, filled with
- 18:06Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit, eventually we're gonna get it.
- 18:08Speaker 2: We're gonna get this right. Amen.
- 18:10Speaker 1: But the Frank I see you, Good morning, God bless you.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Miss yesterday at church, bless you and your family, and man,
- 18:15Speaker 1: my family was there. I wasn't there, but my family
- 18:17Speaker 1: was there. But thank you that you noticed that I
- 18:20Speaker 1: wasn't there.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Amen.
- 18:21Speaker 1: So God bless you wrote it's good to see you
- 18:22Speaker 1: on the morning Devo. They shared meals, prayed together, supported
- 18:26Speaker 1: each other's needs, and lived in authentic community Acts Chapter two.
- 18:31Speaker 1: It's a powerful chapter. Man, the whole Bible was powerful, right,
- 18:36Speaker 1: but topically when it comes to fellowship and community, topically
- 18:39Speaker 1: when it comes to breaking bread, community, sharing others needs.
- 18:43Speaker 1: The Bible literally says that none of them had lacked.
- 18:46Speaker 1: None of them had lacked because everybody was sharing what
- 18:50Speaker 1: they had and they devoted themselves to God's word. Also,
- 18:56Speaker 1: when you're empowered, right, when you have holy spirit and
- 18:59Speaker 1: you're empowered by Holy Spirit, I shot the one eight.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But you will receive power. That's the empowerment of the
- 19:07Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit comes on you, and
- 19:10Speaker 1: you will be my witnesses. Not you're gonna be maybe
- 19:16Speaker 1: you know, can you? You will be God's witnesses when
- 19:19Speaker 1: you filled up with holy spirit. We would have a
- 19:22Speaker 1: perfect example. Me and brother Ray, a friend of mine,
- 19:27Speaker 1: a brother in Christ. We were just doing some community
- 19:29Speaker 1: work that we do right in local neighborhood in Allentown.
- 19:35Speaker 2: And there was a.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Young man, older man, well you know, middle age, maybe
- 19:40Speaker 1: a little younger than me, drunk came out to us
- 19:43Speaker 1: and was calling us names.
- 19:45Speaker 2: This time and the day he was drunk.
- 19:46Speaker 1: He was under the influence, but he was, you know,
- 19:49Speaker 1: able to communicate what he was really trying to say.
- 19:52Speaker 2: He will be serious and he will be angry, then.
- 19:54Speaker 1: He will be laughing. So yeah, it was all emotional.
- 19:57Speaker 1: So we explained to him. He wanted to what we
- 20:00Speaker 1: were doing. We explained to him what we're doing, and
- 20:02Speaker 1: then he said, nah, that's not true. Tell me what
- 20:04Speaker 1: you're really doing. Because a lot of people don't think
- 20:06Speaker 1: that there's other people out there just doing community work
- 20:09Speaker 1: trying to empower other communities. It's rare to see nowadays, right,
- 20:14Speaker 1: so when we're actually out there, people want an explanation.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Why are you doing this right? Why are you just
- 20:21Speaker 1: coming to our community and helping us. So we explained
- 20:25Speaker 1: to him. He didn't believe, but then we gave him
- 20:28Speaker 1: we were giving out ten dollar vouchers to support the
- 20:30Speaker 1: local mini markets or bodega's. We call him, and he
- 20:35Speaker 1: went in really bought the stuff. They really aren'ted a voucher,
- 20:38Speaker 1: and he came out and he was just amazed. He's like,
- 20:40Speaker 1: why are you guys doing this? I can't believe this.
- 20:42Speaker 1: And he started telling everybody I was passing the store,
- 20:45Speaker 1: you got to do this.
- 20:45Speaker 2: I just did this. But you know what happened. By
- 20:49Speaker 2: the end of the conversation, he.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Drunken has started like fading away, and it's like, there's
- 20:55Speaker 1: something about you, guys. There's something different about you, guys.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I'm feeling something different. He called it positive energy. Me
- 21:02Speaker 1: and my brother were looking at each other. We knew
- 21:05Speaker 1: the positive energy that he was feeling was the love
- 21:08Speaker 1: that we had the brother he loved that we were sharing.
- 21:10Speaker 1: And also we were listening to his story because eventually
- 21:13Speaker 1: he started telling us his story, who he was, why
- 21:17Speaker 1: he was around the neighborhood, why he was so charged
- 21:20Speaker 1: when he first saw us. And then Holy Spirit God
- 21:24Speaker 1: started working on him and he started off drunk loud,
- 21:29Speaker 1: and he ended up thanking us. That's the power of
- 21:31Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. Just because me and my brother in Christ
- 21:35Speaker 1: were in fellowship.
- 21:36Speaker 2: And we were in community and we were in agreement.
- 21:38Speaker 1: That's an amazing It's an amazing thing to see men,
- 21:42Speaker 1: and it really encourages me to see that Holy Spirit
- 21:46Speaker 1: is the one who calms the situation down.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Holy Spirit is the one who.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Could take a drunk man and make him sober in
- 21:53Speaker 1: one interaction. When they see true fellowship, when they see
- 21:56Speaker 1: true community, when they see brothers just united our faith
- 22:01Speaker 1: doing something that literally did not really have nothing to
- 22:04Speaker 1: do with the church. But we are the body. We
- 22:07Speaker 1: are the Church. So this young man, older gentlemen, probably
- 22:11Speaker 1: a little younger than me, kind of like started sensing
- 22:15Speaker 1: that we were there on purpose, right, We were there
- 22:18Speaker 1: for a plant. And I think the most powerful thing
- 22:21Speaker 1: besides the voucher that we gave him, was that we
- 22:24Speaker 1: were listening to his story. I don't know how many
- 22:27Speaker 1: people listen to his story, but we were there listening.
- 22:29Speaker 1: And man, he's from the neighborhood, so they probably know
- 22:32Speaker 1: him to be loud. But we just met him, and
- 22:34Speaker 1: Holy Spirit met him where he was. But the rich child,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I see you, good morning. I was just studying the
- 22:39Speaker 1: pattern of growing in the church. The teaching of the
- 22:43Speaker 1: apostles led to increased the number of men grew to
- 22:47Speaker 1: lead in the church and community. Yes, because why they
- 22:51Speaker 1: devoted themselves to the Word and the teaching of the Word.
- 22:56Speaker 1: And from there, right, you can't miss power by Holy Spirit. Right,
- 23:01Speaker 1: can't miss the Holy Spirit is leading us all to
- 23:05Speaker 1: the truth. Amen. Thank you for that comment. And hey,
- 23:09Speaker 1: maybe you know we're always in one accord for the
- 23:13Speaker 1: most part, being brother Rich and Holy Spirit has amazed us,
- 23:17Speaker 1: has made us laugh, has encouraged us and made us cry,
- 23:20Speaker 1: has made us share things in life with Brother Rich Tyler.
- 23:24Speaker 1: If you're not following Rich Tyler, please follow him on
- 23:26Speaker 1: social media's Amen. Persistent in prayer. I'm a prayer warrior.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I know a lot of prayer warriors out there. And
- 23:34Speaker 1: when you pray, you could feel the purpose of your prayer. Right,
- 23:38Speaker 1: you'd be like, I don't know why I'm praying this,
- 23:40Speaker 1: but you sensed that this purpose in the power of prayer.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Amen. Prayer was foundational in the life of the early Church.
- 23:48Speaker 1: They knew that there weren't going to be the most
- 23:51Speaker 1: popular people. They knew there was going to be some
- 23:54Speaker 1: people who didn't like their message, the gospel message, because
- 23:58Speaker 1: it was.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Different the time that the church.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Started growing the way it grew right by the number,
- 24:08Speaker 1: A lot of other regions and other people in different
- 24:11Speaker 1: religions and different faiths were looking at the Christians were like,
- 24:14Speaker 1: what is that? It was new Holy Spirit, promise, Holy
- 24:19Speaker 1: Spirit empowered the promised Holy Spirit filled the people, and
- 24:24Speaker 1: they went out filled with Holy Spirit. It's a difference
- 24:27Speaker 1: between uninspired teaching and uninspired preaching. It's the difference between
- 24:33Speaker 1: inspired teaching and entire inspired preaching and inspired evangelism.
- 24:38Speaker 2: You could just see it.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Some people are forcing so like my friends, the Jehovah's
- 24:42Speaker 1: witnesses that came on Saturday knocking on my door, uninspired spirit.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Why because they believe Holy Spirit is a force, not
- 24:50Speaker 1: a person.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Right, They don't believe Jesus is God.
- 24:54Speaker 1: They put them as they actually Antichrist.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Respectfully, they don't believe who Jesus says. He is a man.
- 25:01Speaker 2: They believe who they're teachers.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Their forefathers say Jesus is and then they try to
- 25:08Speaker 1: confuse us with mistranslations and.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Ever. And I was so respectful at the hope, I was,
- 25:17Speaker 2: but I said this, you guys are an error.
- 25:19Speaker 1: We're not gonna you know, we're not gonna come to
- 25:23Speaker 1: agreement about the Lord. But let's come to agreement about
- 25:26Speaker 1: there is a God who loves us, who sent a son.
- 25:30Speaker 2: And then from there they don't believe the rest.
- 25:33Speaker 1: They don't believe the Holy Spirit, they don't believe in
- 25:36Speaker 1: the new heavens and the earth. They believe this is it. So,
- 25:40Speaker 1: you know, kind of like growing up around them, knowing
- 25:44Speaker 1: their basic fundamentals. I just try to be kind and
- 25:48Speaker 1: I actually something was welling up for me. It wasn't
- 25:51Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. I think it was just my question
- 25:55Speaker 1: that I always asked them. And I literally bowed out
- 25:57Speaker 1: and I said, listen, I'm gonna I was gonna ask
- 25:59Speaker 1: you question is a trap. I'm gonna ask ask the question.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Plus I had to go, and also I didn't want
- 26:06Speaker 1: to get into a debate, but I said, let's just decide,
- 26:10Speaker 1: you know, to continue to speak with respect towards one another.
- 26:15Speaker 2: And we left it like that.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I said, years ago, if you'd have couple years ago,
- 26:19Speaker 1: we would have been debating, I would have been we
- 26:21Speaker 1: would have been having a sword fight with the scriptures.
- 26:23Speaker 1: But I said, I'm done with that because I noticed
- 26:26Speaker 1: that you're gonna believe what you're gonna believe. The only
- 26:28Speaker 1: one who could convince them that Jesus God is God.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Himself by way of his Holy Spirit. Amen.
- 26:36Speaker 1: But kindness leads men and women to repentance. Kindness, so
- 26:40Speaker 1: if they were persistent in prayer asks one fourteen, they
- 26:43Speaker 1: all joined together constantly in prayer. Prayer meetings should be packed,
- 26:49Speaker 1: Prayer meetings should be powerful. Prayer meetings should gather, Prayer
- 26:53Speaker 1: meetings should encourage, Prayer meetings should inspire, and prayer meetings
- 26:57Speaker 1: should provide a.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Way of breakthrough.
- 27:00Speaker 1: When somebody has an answered prayer, sometimes it's immediate, right
- 27:04Speaker 1: there on the spot, health or whatever the situation, health, finances,
- 27:08Speaker 1: relationship issues, all that, and when people start seeing the
- 27:12Speaker 1: power prayer, those prayer meetings should be packed.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Amen. So I'm gonna continue this probably next time. Amen.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Is a lot more here, but let's be encouraged. Acts
- 27:22Speaker 1: Chapter two. We were in verse number I lost it.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Acts chapter to verse forty four. That's where we were.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Read the whole book of Acts read chapter two if
- 27:34Speaker 1: you want to start from there. But amount of time
- 27:36Speaker 1: I gotta go. Thank you so much for hanging out
- 27:39Speaker 1: with me. Amen, God bless you all. Got to keep
- 27:41Speaker 1: you all and remember always that God is good.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Peace,
