- 0:00Hello and welcome to another episode of the Christian Reef
- 0:02Podcast. Now in this second part of a
- 0:05two-part interview series with Marianna Clemens, we cover some
- 0:10pretty heavy topics. I'm just going to say we cover

- 0:43You know, we we, we go back and forth on it.
- 0:45And I made a point of during the episode when it came up to share
- 0:51my thoughts on it. And I I said in that that I

- 1:33it was the right move to include it.
- 1:35I think it's important that we talk about these topics and make
- 1:40people realise that it's OK to talk about these these problems

- 3:26Now without further ado, let's get into the show, shall we?
- 3:29Today's guest is an energy reader, psychic animal
- 3:33communicator, and I think I've got this right evidential
- 3:36medium. Welcome to the show, Marianna
- 3:39Clements. How you doing?
- 3:41Thank you. And you did get that right.
- 3:44I got that. I always get a sense of
- 3:45satisfaction when I get that, especially with people's names
- 3:47as well. Like if I could nail it the
- 3:49first time, it's like, yeah. I love it.
- 3:52Believe it or not, a lot of people get that very simple name
- 3:55wrong a lot. So I appreciate the, I
- 3:57appreciate the respect you put on it.
- 3:59I mean, it seems a pretty straightforward name.
- 4:01What's the worst way someone said that?
- 4:03Oh gosh. Mary, Etta, Mary, Jo, Mary Lou,
- 4:06Mary Ann. Well, that's not.
- 4:08That's not the same name though. No, it is.
- 4:11I know. Someone, someone, someone said
- 4:14to me the other day like oh it was I was doing a live stream
- 4:16and I think their name was. Rebecca or Rebecca?
- 4:20And they were like, oh, someone called me Rachel.
- 4:22And I was like, but that's not what What do you mean?
- 4:25They called you Rachel? That's not the same name.
- 4:27What? I I couldn't agree with you
- 4:29more. Honestly.
- 4:31If you want to impress people the first time, ask him how to
- 4:35say that you know. Make sure you get their name
- 4:37right and ask him. I do.
- 4:38I I start every reading I have with Am I saying your name
- 4:42right? Because our names hold a lot of
- 4:45importance. I think.
- 4:48Regardless of what your beliefs are, because I know where you're
- 4:50going with this, and we'll touch on stuff like that in a bit
- 4:53because what you're referring to is like the spiritual
- 4:55significance of it and stuff, I would imagine, like that, you
- 4:57know, that all the expression, what's in the name?
- 4:59Well, apparently there's a lot in the name.
- 5:01But whether or not you believe in that, it's just personal,
- 5:05isn't it? It's just a matter of being
- 5:08polite, you know? Yeah, it's like you get
- 5:10someone's name wrong. And there's one thing if you've
- 5:13got like a really difficult name, I understand that, you
- 5:15know. It's it's I mean even the person
- 5:18who has the name, they know, they know they probably you know
- 5:21and they'll probably give you like a oh wait, just call me
- 5:23this. Everyone calls me this.
- 5:25But when it's sort of straightforward and and you get
- 5:27it wrong, like I have the same problem with my name for some
- 5:31reason. So my name is Christian.
- 5:32Chris Christian. I need those really, really
- 5:35close to me. Call me Chris though but
- 5:37Christian, pretty straightforward.
- 5:40But people often change it to Christopher.
- 5:43Which may Maybe they're just thinking of Superman, which is
- 5:46like, ha ha OK, I have the same surname but no relation.
- 5:50But again that that infuriates me because it is a different
- 5:53name. Christian and Christopher,
- 5:55Sorry, I'm just going to go on a bit of a rant for a second like
- 5:58what is that like? Would.
- 6:00That's not again same thing. It's two different names or or
- 6:04or. And again, maybe I'm just being
- 6:06picky with this, but when they add a letter that's not there,
- 6:10so I often get Christian Reeves, it's like there's no S there.
- 6:14Why are you putting an S there? Do you know what I mean?
- 6:17Or Chris Reeves. I'm just like, well, it's not my
- 6:20name and it's just and I used to, here's here's what I do,
- 6:25right? If it's written down and it's
- 6:26there somewhere, a lot of the time I won't correct it.
- 6:29I'll just leave it because it's not my name.
- 6:30Anyone can see that if someone introduces me as that?
- 6:34I did it one time on someone else's show.
- 6:37They introduced me as like Christian Reeves or something.
- 6:39And I was like, it's Reeve and it sounds, it sounds so like,
- 6:43oh, big timer, like, Oh no, this is how you're saying my name,
- 6:47like, I'm important, right? But at the same time, it's your
- 6:50name, you know. I used to have a really hard
- 6:53time correcting people about my name, and the older I'm getting,
- 6:56the easier it's getting because people call me Mary Ann and
- 7:00there's just one more letter. It's Mary Anna.
- 7:03And in fact, I I still have family relatives that call me
- 7:06Nah, because for the longest time, my my twin brother and
- 7:09sister couldn't call me Marianne.
- 7:11Nah. So they just call me Nah.
- 7:13So I've gotten better correcting people because it's just kind of
- 7:16a red flag for me, honestly. It means to me.
- 7:19It means you didn't give it that extra 2 seconds.
- 7:22Bingo. Of of cognitive attempt.
- 7:30Who mentioned there? Obviously, you hinted at the
- 7:32fact that there's more in a name.
- 7:34Let's talk about that for a second.
- 7:35What's the spiritual significance of a name?
- 7:38Now, to give people some context here, sometimes a name is given
- 7:42to a person because it holds some sort of particular
- 7:45significance. You know, it could be that the
- 7:48name has historical significance or maybe it's a religious name.
- 7:51I mean, for instance, I have a religious name, but I'm not in
- 7:54the slightest bit religious. But you know, it's I think
- 7:58Christian just means follower of God.
- 8:01Or follow Jesus or something, supposedly.
- 8:05But yeah, just going back to my question, like what is the
- 8:08spiritual significance of a name?
- 8:11Well, interestingly enough, I'm actually probably the least woo
- 8:14woo medium that you'll ever talk to.
- 8:17So I know, I know, yes. And so the significance to me is
- 8:22just effort. On the other part, I go really
- 8:24basic. I go really practical.
- 8:27I do know in numerology you have certain numbers that go with
- 8:30certain letters, which you know, then you have a life path and a
- 8:33spirit path. And I don't do numerology and I
- 8:37don't do astrology. And I think it's just the lack
- 8:41of effort gives me a red flag. So I'm it's funny because I'm
- 8:45not gonna go. Like in the vibration and
- 8:47frequency, although that does everything has a vibration and
- 8:52everything has a frequency. But honestly it's just about not
- 8:56being a turd head and getting getting someone's name right.
- 9:02I forgot to ask you about the the ability to have a potty
- 9:06mouth on the show, so I'm. Oh yeah, my kind of.
- 9:10I've never really set an established rule on it.
- 9:12It used to be no swearing. But if people would drop an F
- 9:16bomb or whatever, I wouldn't really be that bomb and I would
- 9:19say, yeah, few swear words here and there, just.
- 9:22Her head is better though, OK? Oh yeah, yeah.
- 9:25Well, that's yeah, that's fine. It's more like if someone drops
- 9:27the C bomb and I'm not expecting and I'm like, whoa.
- 9:30But as an as an American, the C word is incredibly offensive.
- 9:35Yeah, it's interesting. It's like levels in Australia,
- 9:37not offensive. If anything it's a compliment in
- 9:40America. Yeah, well, yeah, it would Term
- 9:43of endearment, I don't know it's.
- 9:44Yeah, I don't. I don't.
- 9:45I don't really understand Australians.
- 9:47I love your. Well, and people over here,
- 9:50they'll say bitch that way like, hey, bitch, you know, And I'm
- 9:53like standing there going, Oh no, I think I'm too old for that
- 9:56one. Thank you.
- 9:57That one's interesting because it's it's not like necessarily a
- 10:01really bad swear word, but it's I always look at with swear
- 10:05words and in general it's about more so intention and how it's
- 10:09used, because I've heard people say that and it doesn't feel
- 10:12offensive at all. But then I've heard it in other
- 10:14contexts and it's like, wow, that's really offensive.
- 10:16So I think it's more about maybe your tonality, the way you say
- 10:20it, the context. And there's there's a lot of
- 10:23factors really involved with that.
- 10:25Yeah, you know. So you are an energy reader.
- 10:31Walk us through this. What is this?
- 10:35One of the reasons that I that. OK, so I started off.
- 10:38I had never actually had a tarot reading myself, and I had never
- 10:41had a mediumship reading myself, although I had been interested
- 10:44in that sort of thing. But I'm at a certain age where
- 10:47when I was younger, I'm a Gen. Xer.
- 10:49And when I was younger, there was no Internet.
- 10:51There was no easy way to learn any of this stuff.
- 10:54And so I just flat never learned it.
- 10:56And every time I would pick up a tarot deck, I'm like, I can
- 10:58barely learn. I can barely remember what I had
- 11:01for breakfast, let alone learn 78 definitions of 78 cards.
- 11:05And then if you reverse them, it's 78 more.
- 11:08So Long story short, after I left a dysfunctional
- 11:12relationship, I started getting into this and it was almost as
- 11:15if kind of the spirit world just handed me a bunch of stuff and
- 11:18said well. You've waited long enough.
- 11:21You've waited too long and they just started showing me things
- 11:24that I could do. But as I did them, I kept doing
- 11:29a little more and a little more and a little more and pretty
- 11:32much now during a reading, it's completely mix and match.
- 11:34We could start out with your animal and go to a Passover
- 11:37grandma, we could go to a Passover animal.
- 11:39I could talk to you about your job.
- 11:41I can. So it ends up just being a mix
- 11:44and match of psychic animal and mediumship and animal mediumship
- 11:48and so whatever. Energy is coming in is what I is
- 11:52what I talk about. I had one time I was doing a
- 11:55mediumship reading for a woman with her son and I said, I hate
- 11:57to take this Segway, but do you have a cactus to your right on a
- 12:01windowsill? And she said yes.
- 12:04And I was like, he's screaming for water.
- 12:07Like, he has interrupted this entire reading to ask you to
- 12:11please water him. And I was doing another reading
- 12:14one time and it was just a psychic reading about kind of
- 12:17where she's going in the spiritual world.
- 12:19And I said this is going to sound weird and and I, you know,
- 12:23I have a horrible potty mouth on my own stuff.
- 12:26And I said there's a a very large boulder coming through
- 12:31like it like just this huge rock.
- 12:33Do you? I don't understand what I'm
- 12:35talking about, she said. Oh, my God.
- 12:36So her and her family had gone on a Sunday drive that Sunday,
- 12:40and she had made her husband pull over at this enormous
- 12:42boulder, and her and her daughters had gotten out and
- 12:45hugged and kissed this really big rock.
- 12:48And just, I know it just sounds bizarre.
- 12:52And so the boulder was coming through during her reading to
- 12:55say thank you because it really thought that that was cool.
- 13:00So it it it's. Everything has energy.
- 13:03Trees have energy, rocks have energies, plants have energies.
- 13:07This is fascinating because I've heard this before and I think I
- 13:12mean, I mean, for instance, I've heard the whole idea about like
- 13:15for example, like plants screaming or whatever and how
- 13:20it's all connected and stuff like that.
- 13:22And for anyone who doesn't believe in this, I get it.
- 13:25It probably sounds crazy. I keep an open mind to these
- 13:28things, but I'm also like, I have my doubts, but I heard this
- 13:32recently, which was, and maybe you give your thoughts on this.
- 13:36So apparently when you cut the grass and there's that
- 13:42particular smell, that distinct smell of freshly cut grass,
- 13:46supposedly that's like a warning smell that's emitted from the
- 13:49grass to like any nearby plants to kind of say like, you know,
- 13:54this is. A bad situation at play.
- 13:58I don't know. I heard this recently and I was
- 13:59like kind of fascinated by the concept.
- 14:01And also just in general, this idea that literally everything
- 14:05is alive and sentient. Because I always obviously
- 14:08assumed like, yeah, life is life, like a tree is is life.
- 14:11But at the same time, is it life?
- 14:14How we understand life, be it, you know, conscious.
- 14:19Absolutely. And and that's interesting, you
- 14:21bring that up with the grass because I have horses.
- 14:23And so horses are not supposed to eat freshly cut grass, right?
- 14:27And so some people will take these grass clippings and they
- 14:30will feed them to horses and they are actually toxic.
- 14:33And so there is some something to that because it could be that
- 14:37certain animals shouldn't eat it as soon as it's cut.
- 14:41I don't know that that was a new that was a left turn I wasn't
- 14:45quite expecting, but I definitely think that.
- 14:48Like, like, I'm not going to have a big conversation with
- 14:50this book, but it holds a certain amount of information
- 14:53and it holds a certain amount of, I guess, vibration if you if
- 14:56you would. There's a there's a frequency to
- 14:58everything. Some people who do this, they
- 15:01tap into vehicles to see if it's going to be a lemon or not a
- 15:04lemon they tap into. I need to tap into homes to see
- 15:08like what the home wants and and if there's extra energy in the
- 15:12home. I know sometimes I also have my
- 15:15doubts because I would say that there are a lot of people in
- 15:17this industry who milk this type of thing for all it's worth and
- 15:22for money. And I do acknowledge that and I
- 15:24do understand that. And if I wasn't doing it myself,
- 15:29I probably would not believe it myself.
- 15:33I always look at it like this, like.
- 15:35Because I know there's there's always people that will say
- 15:37like, well, that's just lunacy because there's no way you can
- 15:39prove that with any evidence. And I'm like, well, I am an
- 15:43evidence based person as well. I tried to look at that, but I
- 15:46also look at the flip side of that, which is you don't have
- 15:48any evidence to disprove that this is the case.
- 15:53Well, it's still in the case of the, yeah, in the case of the
- 15:56boulder though. I brought up the boulder and she
- 15:59did back it up with evidence. She goes, Oh my gosh, we just
- 16:02stopped there this last weekend and we got out and we hugged the
- 16:06the boulder. So to me, that's evidential.
- 16:09Then in the case of the cactus on the windowsill, I'm looking
- 16:12at this person sitting in a chair.
- 16:14There's no way for me to see what's in front of her.
- 16:17Although in the living room you can make certain assumptions
- 16:19just by being, you know, human. But there's no way for me to
- 16:22know there's a cactus on the windowsill.
- 16:25So there's physically no way for me to know that.
- 16:27So, so to me that would be evidential.
- 16:31A little bit like how, how could it be evidential if if there's
- 16:33not like sort of proof, OK to to the point about the idea of like
- 16:38the boulder being sentient, right?
- 16:40Like, how is what you just said evidential of the fact that it's
- 16:43sentient? I guess because it because it's
- 16:48coming through to me. So I suppose I could be picking
- 16:53it up from their subconscious. I could be picking it up from
- 16:56them versus the boulder, which is a good point, right?
- 17:00So maybe she just happens to have been thinking about the
- 17:03boulder. To press on this further,
- 17:06though, it comes down to a level of trust.
- 17:08We have to assume a couple of things here.
- 17:10One, that you're telling the truth, and two, that this is a
- 17:15thing that happens that you know you can channel through a
- 17:19medium. And sort of communicate that
- 17:21way. So I'm not, I'm not trying to
- 17:24say like it's it's definitely not true.
- 17:25But at the same time it's like. Oh no, I through.
- 17:28The sceptics in the room, it's going to look like, well,
- 17:30where's where's the evidence there for that?
- 17:32Because we we've only got this person to trust and that's
- 17:36always been kind of my thought when it comes to psychics and
- 17:39and and tarot readers and stuff like that.
- 17:41Like I began. Starting to believe in some of
- 17:46this when there were situations where it was impossible for the
- 17:50other person to have certain information because I've not
- 17:55told them any of this stuff and there was no way they could
- 17:58guess that kind of stuff. Because you know, you can make
- 18:00the argument a lot of time like, well, you can fill in between
- 18:02the gaps and make assumptions, make guesses based on certain
- 18:05things. But there were certain readings
- 18:08where because I always expected Taro to be a sort of thing, like
- 18:11you give certain information up front.
- 18:14And then, you know, they fill in the gaps there and then it is
- 18:18what it is kind of thing. But like I didn't give this
- 18:22person anything and they were able to give me certain
- 18:25information and reflect on certain things.
- 18:28But then there was also the element of doubt as well, which
- 18:31I always keep in the back of my mind from sort of scientific
- 18:34perspective, which is. Maybe you're you're hoping so
- 18:39much for a particular answer that when they read this stuff
- 18:43to you or they or they give you this reading, you go, yeah,
- 18:46yeah, that's exactly what it is because you're looking for it a
- 18:48bit like when a scientist does an experiment and they're
- 18:51looking for a specific hypothesis, right.
- 18:54And but they, but they also discount a load of things in the
- 18:57pursuit of this particular thing.
- 18:59Absolutely. So I am actually on my channel,
- 19:03so I have a YouTube it's energy reader Marianna.
- 19:06I have a Facebook same name and I have a TikTok, same name
- 19:09Marianna, Energy Reader or Energy Reader.
- 19:11Marianna and I educate a lot #1 I would say that in my niche,
- 19:1675% of the people in my niche are are not valid, are not true
- 19:22to what they do, and I would say that about 25%.
- 19:26In in, in my opinion, this is completely anecdotal, which is a
- 19:30hard word to say, but I would say about 25% are actually doing
- 19:35it and they are actually valid. There is cold reading, and there
- 19:40is hot reading, and then there's a combination of cold and hot
- 19:43reading. And what's?
- 19:44The difference between those two?
- 19:47So in a cold reading, I let's say that I, let's say that I was
- 19:51fake and I'm looking at you right now.
- 19:53I would be waiting for some sort of a let's say that I said your
- 19:57dog is yellow. If your eyes got bigger, I'd be
- 20:00like, oh, OK, that's a hit. So then I would go, you see what
- 20:03I'm saying? So then I would go from there.
- 20:06So a con artist that is cold reading, that's what they do.
- 20:09They look at your mannerisms, They look at what you say.
- 20:12They look at how you smile. They look at your eyeballs.
- 20:14They look. Hold up, that's That's not
- 20:16psychic. That's just being able to read
- 20:19psychology, body language. So that's called a cold reading.
- 20:23And that and and you're right, that is what that is.
- 20:25And so there's a lot of like body language in it.
- 20:27So that would be a fake psychic who's actually cold reading.
- 20:32And they tend to ask a lot of questions and they tend to come
- 20:35in so a fake medium who is cold or hot reading.
- 20:40They also tend to ask a lot of questions.
- 20:42Do you have somebody in your family with AJ or an M name?
- 20:45Well, it turns out that the majority of humans have someone
- 20:50in their family with AJ or an M name, and so this is called
- 20:53fishing. And then there's shotgunning and
- 20:56then there's Barnum statements. I dove really super deep into
- 21:00this because I had some skeptics coming at me and instead of just
- 21:03assuming that they're assholes and I'm not, I thought, well let
- 21:06me teach myself what they know. The problem was they weren't
- 21:10teaching themselves what I know. And so I I go back and forth
- 21:15with this one skeptic over here in in the USA and she doesn't
- 21:20understand the basic tenants of what I do.
- 21:24Therefore, it's very easy to come back at her because I'm
- 21:26like you keep talking about psychics and mediums as if
- 21:30they're the same thing and they are not.
- 21:32A psychic reads your life today and answers questions about your
- 21:35life today. A medium in theory is going over
- 21:39and talking to your past over loved one and facilitating a
- 21:42conversation. These are two different animals,
- 21:45and she doesn't even understand the basics between those two
- 21:48things. These are not synonyms.
- 21:50These are different right creatures.
- 21:53And so when when I, when I when I attempt to argue with her as
- 21:58politely as I can, she has her views.
- 22:00I have my views. I had to really dive into how do
- 22:05the con artists do it in order to appear to be real.
- 22:10And so I know now more. I know more now it's about the
- 22:15fake people than than ever before.
- 22:19And I learned just a ton. Like the table tipping, like the
- 22:23physical mediumship. I don't believe in it.
- 22:25I think it was all debunked in the 1800s.
- 22:28I think anyone doing it today is setting us back in this niche.
- 22:34They're making us look stupid, like the ectoplasm and the
- 22:37flying trumpets and the and the table tipping and the tapping on
- 22:41the walls and and that sort of thing.
- 22:43I think it's all fake. Just real, real quick, what was
- 22:46the hot reading? Oh, so hot reading is when,
- 22:50let's say, OK, let's say that you and I got on this zoom to do
- 22:53a meeting and I have your first and your last name, plus I have
- 22:56your address because you gave me a credit card.
- 22:59So assuming that all those things are right and you haven't
- 23:01planted yourself in my room with a bunch of fake information,
- 23:04conceivably a fake medium can go to your Facebook, your
- 23:08Instagram. If you're LinkedIn.
- 23:11They could or would, especially if you're a public person like
- 23:14you are, they would listen to every episode of podcast and and
- 23:19take out personal information. Like, if you've been doing this
- 23:22for four years, let's say that a fake person would go back to
- 23:25year one and pull out stuff that you don't even remember saying.
- 23:28Because there's no way for us to hold all the information in our
- 23:31head. They now bring it up from year
- 23:33one and you're like, there's no way they could have known that.
- 23:37This is why I'm I make sure not to say everything and keep
- 23:41things private and stuff like that.
- 23:42That's the thing people assume. Like I say everything.
- 23:45I'm quite and I am quite open, but I don't reveal everything
- 23:48because you shouldn't. You should keep.
- 23:50Well, it would be impossible. It would be impossible to to to
- 23:53tell every part of some. It's kind of like when somebody
- 23:56makes. The circles some people that
- 23:59you'd be surprised, man. Yeah, I mean, I can't speak for
- 24:02the States, but but in the UK there are people here that it's
- 24:05it's kind of crazy just on the side.
- 24:07Standard for a second. There are these people that to
- 24:11be, it's not really funny. It's actually really damaging
- 24:14and scary. There's people that live stream
- 24:16like all the time. Everything document every part
- 24:22of their life. Yeah.
- 24:24And it's it's it's it's terrible.
- 24:26It's bad. And of course this information
- 24:28gets used against you and people will use it against you and.
- 24:34I always look at that like, you know, you should do your best to
- 24:37try to protect yourself. Like, yeah, if you're going to
- 24:39be like a public person, you have to accept that people are
- 24:41going to find stuff out and it's it's just how it's going to be.
- 24:44You know, like for instance, I'm pursuing acting and voice
- 24:46acting. I do sort of understand that
- 24:49like there will be an error. Like people always want to know.
- 24:52People always ask me questions in live streams and I'll answer
- 24:55to a degree on certain things. But then there's other things
- 24:58I'm never going to answer because it's my business and I'm
- 25:01not going to talk about it and. It's, you know, everyone
- 25:03deserves a private life. And I I don't understand why
- 25:06you'd want to tell people. Like, for instance, I never
- 25:09understood the whole I'm going to and I've said this on the
- 25:12show before, so I'm just repeating myself.
- 25:14But when you go, like, sell your story to a newspaper, you know,
- 25:18like, oh, here's everything that happened in this relationship
- 25:21that I had or here's everything that happened behind the scenes
- 25:23here, or here's the Goss, the tea, whatever.
- 25:25And yeah, I get that it's to make money.
- 25:27But like, here's the reality. With that you get.
- 25:31I don't know, couple of 10,020 thousand whatever for the story.
- 25:35Flat fee that in retrospect is not really worth it.
- 25:39That'll keep you going for a while, like money wise, but the
- 25:43like, information is more valuable, do you know what I
- 25:46mean? And over time it's like it's
- 25:50just going to get used against you.
- 25:52And I think with those people that do that as well, they give
- 25:55away so much that there's like people get bored of that.
- 25:59What? What more could that Everything
- 26:01to know about you is known, so there's no more shock and awe if
- 26:06you already know everything about somebody.
- 26:08We we do have an issue with that over here as well, and I guess
- 26:11that's probably our reality TV and social media.
- 26:13I've tried to distance myself, just because I do have one of my
- 26:18shortcomings is comparing myself to others, and it's something
- 26:23that I fight with. It's something that I struggle
- 26:25with. And I get livid when I see the
- 26:29fake mediums and the fake psychics, and then I sit there
- 26:32and I want to tell the world, But it's not really my job to
- 26:37educate. Although my channel's about
- 26:39education, I can't possibly educate about every fake person
- 26:42out there. You guys have a big one in the
- 26:45UK actually, and and I I don't want to get anyone sued, so I
- 26:48won't say the name basically. Basically what happens is this
- 26:54person makes you friend them on Facebook in order to do a
- 26:59reading and then has this long list of you have to do this and
- 27:04you have to do this and you have to do this.
- 27:06Well, in order to do that, they see your social media, which is
- 27:10where they're getting the information.
- 27:11So what happens is, is if you don't follow his instructions to
- 27:14the T, he just says I couldn't find you when it was time for
- 27:17your reading and that's your fault.
- 27:19And I keep your money. Wow.
- 27:22Yeah. Yeah.
- 27:24OK, That's. And he's criminal.
- 27:28It is criminal, but because he's slightly attractive and a very a
- 27:32very fast talker, he manages to con thousands of people every
- 27:39year, sadly. And there's a there's one over
- 27:41here in the US who's also similar.
- 27:43And also, you know, I won't say her name, but she has created a
- 27:49celebrity type status with her ring lights and her her
- 27:53personality and her Botox and her lip filler.
- 27:55And what happens is she does the same thing.
- 27:57It's hot reading. She we have this one thing
- 28:00that's called spokeo.com or intelligence.com.
- 28:03It literally says your address, your last 10 addresses, who
- 28:07you've lived with at all of those addresses, who might be
- 28:11paying at all of those addresses, Right.
- 28:14So, so, so as I educate, again, I'm on YouTube, I'm trying to
- 28:19build my YouTube. If anybody cares to go over
- 28:21there, it's energy reader Mariana.
- 28:23But one of the things I try to educate on is that in a
- 28:26mediumship reading, when you first come into it, you can give
- 28:30the relationship. So there's two things.
- 28:32There's called Throw It Out Mediumship.
- 28:34And there's called Dial It Up Mediumship.
- 28:36Throw it out. Mediumship is.
- 28:38I would say, oh, I have a a man here.
- 28:40He feels like a dad. He's 65 when he passed salt and
- 28:44pepper hair. Do you recognize that person
- 28:47that's called Throw it out. But we also have what's called
- 28:50Dial it Up and you have a ton of mediums who say that it's
- 28:54unethical or or you shouldn't do it this way.
- 28:57The spirit spirit world knows what you want to see in here.
- 29:01They know better than you do. And I'm like all of that is a
- 29:03bullocks, ooh, bullocks is a good word.
- 29:05That's not a cuss word. All of that is, it's just a load
- 29:11of crap. Honestly, you can go direct.
- 29:13And one of the reasons I think a lot of mediums don't go direct
- 29:16is because they're not real, if that makes sense.
- 29:18They they they they legitimately can't go direct because they're
- 29:22not a real medium. They're hot reading or they're
- 29:23cold reading or a combination of both.
- 29:26Or anyway, so where was I going with that?
- 29:31Oh, so in direct mediumship you would say maybe I want to talk
- 29:34to my I want to talk to a Passover cousin, and that should
- 29:38be all you'd have to say. Or sometimes you can even just
- 29:41get it, give a name. I want to talk to Alice.
- 29:43And then it's the medium's job to go out there and still get
- 29:47that person and give you evidence, descriptions,
- 29:50mannerisms, shared memories, personality traits, work traits,
- 29:56children. It's the fake people that give
- 30:00you St. Addresses and phone numbers and
- 30:02and 1st and last names and that kind of stuff, because they've
- 30:07looked it up on the Internet. As you mentioned, help me out, I
- 30:12forgot I forgot where I was going, no?
- 30:13No, no, no, I got. Don't worry, I got it, I got us,
- 30:16I got us this. This is my job.
- 30:18This is my job. I got it, I got it.
- 30:19So when it comes to people being, you know, charlatans,
- 30:25shall we say, as you mentioned that this has been going on
- 30:28since the 1800s, you know, dates back that far.
- 30:31My pop offs possibly even further.
- 30:33It's probably the start of. Humanity, because lying and
- 30:37greed has been a human condition since humans have existed so.
- 30:41Yes, doesn't it? It's sad because it preys on the
- 30:45desperate. I think that's the worst part
- 30:46about it. It's one thing to like scam
- 30:49people, right, Which is bad enough, but to really prey on
- 30:54people that really desperately need help.
- 30:56You know, like like I mentioned earlier when I said that, you
- 30:59know, people are looking for that answer and when you kind of
- 31:02give them. A faint bit.
- 31:04Hope they're like, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:05And then and then they forget all logic.
- 31:07They forget the fact like, Oh well, hang on, I've already
- 31:09given them this information and like.
- 31:11Something I find really fascinating is the fact that
- 31:14like. All that's really happened, like
- 31:17I would have thought this sort of stuff had disappeared by now,
- 31:20like the fakes, because you know, back in the day it used to
- 31:23be you'd show up to, I don't know, an event.
- 31:26And and this was, this happened quite a lot in the States.
- 31:28From what I understand, you'd have like these charlatans who
- 31:31would get a group of people in a particular space, charge them
- 31:34to, you know, go to this event. But.
- 31:37Prior to them entering the venue, they'd have them fill out
- 31:41questionnaires and of course, with that information, the
- 31:45charlatan in in question would then look around the room, try
- 31:49to see who fits the. The what's the word?
- 31:54I'm looking for a profile that you know from that information
- 31:57they've collected prior. And then they would know
- 31:58everything about this person because you've already given
- 32:00them the information. So they would look psychic.
- 32:03They'd be like, oh, I'm getting a you had a father recently
- 32:06passed away, but the question prior to that would have already
- 32:09asked them, did you have a family member?
- 32:11Oh, passed away. You know, and all that's really
- 32:15well, always going to add to that was sorry.
- 32:18Well, as I was doing my research, it even gets deeper
- 32:21than that. They have people in the audience
- 32:24and nowadays they have even earpieces.
- 32:26So they have people scattered throughout the audience, with
- 32:29earpieces feeding information to the person on the stage.
- 32:32Hold on. So these things, these things
- 32:33will happen, these events. Yes, yes, yes.
- 32:37Because what I was all I was going to say is, is we've got
- 32:41like a new kind of. Like the the medium has changed
- 32:45in that it's now online but then we've still got these events
- 32:47happening in physical forms so that the scams are everywhere.
- 32:50Then unfortunately and and you can you can pick it out
- 32:55sometimes and I will give the skeptic lady that I that I argue
- 33:00with for lack of a better term in the USI will give her some
- 33:03credit. Because she set up this one
- 33:06psychic and she basically planted fake people in his
- 33:11audience, created an entire Facebook page for this couple
- 33:16that was supposedly married. And for like 6 or 8 months her
- 33:21and her team of skeptics fed this Facebook page with
- 33:26information and tags and photos. And to her credit this is the
- 33:31only psychic that I or I should say medium excuse me this is the
- 33:35only medium that I know of that she is actually busted busted
- 33:39and and she did he took it hook line and sinker and he fed it
- 33:43back and that is also on YouTube and it is called it's under Holy
- 33:49Kool-aid is the channel and it was I'm sorry I wish I could
- 33:54remember the name of it but if you look up holy kool-aid and
- 33:57psychic debunked or Medium Debunked you can find the
- 34:01episode. So to her credit she she has
- 34:07done that. I I I don't particularly like
- 34:09her. So I I I hesitate a lot to give
- 34:12her credit. I had a couple of questions
- 34:14here. Firstly, do you happen to know
- 34:16the outcome of that specific specific instance?
- 34:19Was that person caught and they just they don't practice
- 34:21anymore? They don't try to.
- 34:23No, they do. And it was written about and I
- 34:26and I'm happy to say his name because it was written about in
- 34:28the New York Times. So I'm only repeat and you know
- 34:32the New York Times doesn't print anything without fact checking
- 34:35everything. All right.
- 34:36As long as as long as you're not going to get in trouble for
- 34:38this. No, I don't.
- 34:40I mean, I don't think so. But he's he's called the seat
- 34:43belt psychic over here in the US and it was written about in the
- 34:47New York Times and so I'll I'll just refer to the New York Times
- 34:51#1 because I didn't write it but but to her credit there are
- 34:56charlatans and and she is she is trying to educate and and she
- 35:03calls them grief vampires and I don't want to give her too much
- 35:06air time but but I do I do agree that educating is super super
- 35:11important almost to the point that I I cringe at some of what
- 35:18I see in the niche. Why do you think she's still on
- 35:22your tail for So? I mean, you say it's like been a
- 35:24year now or so or so. Like, why is she still going for
- 35:27you? So she's not really going to
- 35:30believe it or not, she, she's not really going for me.
- 35:32I'm kind of going for her. And I say that in a way because
- 35:37I I know, I know that sounds very counterproductive.
- 35:41But I want her to understand that in her education piece,
- 35:45words have meanings. Things have meanings.
- 35:47For example, the psychic versus medium.
- 35:50These are two different things. And she just keeps so skeptics
- 35:54claim to be critical thinkers and yet they can't get the
- 35:57basics of definitions right. And so I actually chastise her
- 36:03and she tried to critique me One time there was a there's a
- 36:06mediumship reading on my YouTube called Matan and Ryan, and he
- 36:12was engaged to his fiancee. Ryan and I did a really cool
- 36:17mediumship reading for him and he said yeah, you can put it on
- 36:21YouTube and she tried to critique it and she couldn't
- 36:24even get the basic information right.
- 36:27So she said that I said the guy was 6/6 and I didn't.
- 36:30I said he was tall, 6 foot, maybe 6-1 and so like I
- 36:34chastised her. I'm like, if this is the best
- 36:37you can do in the sceptic society, you're hurting because
- 36:40you have to at least get the basic information correct before
- 36:44you criticize others. So I'm.
- 36:47I am. I am also fairly 88.
- 36:52I'm fairly neuro divergent, and so the way my brain works isn't
- 36:57always the way other people's brains work.
- 36:59And so I do get a little too picky And you you can cut this
- 37:04out. We're starting to ramble and I
- 37:05apologize, but I get a little too picky on what means.
- 37:10What Does that make sense? For example, if you're psychic,
- 37:14this is what it is. If you're a medium, this is what
- 37:16it is. If you're an animal
- 37:17communicator, this is what it is.
- 37:19Do you know there's scams in animal communication as well?
- 37:22And I was also surprised to find this out.
- 37:24And it really hurt my heart as an animal communicator because
- 37:27we have, we have put animals in a place today where they are as
- 37:31important, if not sometimes more important than the humans in our
- 37:35lives. Right.
- 37:36And so when you lose an animal, you are in an incredibly
- 37:40vulnerable position. I did a reading for a woman in
- 37:43Australia. She had lost her dog, Holly.
- 37:46She had already been through a couple of animal communicators
- 37:49who didn't really, you know, hit the mark.
- 37:52So the first thing I do again is give evidence.
- 37:54You would understand that your dog XYZ.
- 37:57You would understand that your house looks like XYZ.
- 38:00You would understand that you got this dog as a re home
- 38:03situation. And I wait for the validation
- 38:06for them to say yes before I go on into their questions.
- 38:09Well, there's a woman over here. Charges $500.00 an hour for
- 38:15animal communication and then doesn't even, it doesn't even
- 38:19record it for another $15. She'll record it for you.
- 38:23I'm like, Oh, my word to me that is just greedy, It's
- 38:26unnecessary. And she has someone on her
- 38:29website who, quote, looks for lost animals.
- 38:31Well, there's nobody more vulnerable than someone with a
- 38:34lost animal that they consider their soul mate or that they
- 38:38consider incredibly important. And he charges 100?
- 38:42Well, first you have to pay $185 for him to do his first like tap
- 38:46it. Then you have to pay $140.00
- 38:49after that and he sends you like 4 lines, like it's not even a
- 38:52paragraph with a with a picture of a map and a pin in it.
- 38:56It's like not even what am I supposed to do, go walk around
- 39:00like 5 square miles? I can, I can do that on my own.
- 39:03And I know a woman that paid him close to $1200 and still did not
- 39:09find her animal and This is why this industry has such a bad
- 39:15name and and to me that is criminal.
- 39:18And that's my opinion for anyone who puts two and two together on
- 39:22who this guy is and it's it's it's criminal.
- 39:26I I do not want my e-mail inundated.
- 39:30But I have never charged anyone for a lost animal.
- 39:33And I would say again this is anecdotal but out of 10 we're
- 39:38just going to take 10 because it's an easy number.
- 39:40I've helped maybe three people actually find their animal, so
- 39:43the return rate is not high enough for me to feel like I
- 39:47could charge someone. Does that make sense?
- 39:51No, I get, I get where you're coming from on that.
- 39:53I think, yeah, it's probably very difficult to to always
- 39:58guarantee. I can't guarantee at all.
- 40:01Right. But then this, this also then
- 40:04puts your gig in jeopardy a little bit, because if you can't
- 40:07guarantee results, then why should people invest in it?
- 40:10You know, it's exactly no I I no, But that is how I feel about
- 40:14the lost animal thing. So anyone that's out there
- 40:16telling you that they can find your lost animal that's a
- 40:18psychic or a medium, I would be very skeptical of if they're not
- 40:23willing to charge you less of a price or even do it for free.
- 40:27Now I've told people, if you find your animal, feel free to
- 40:30tip me, but I can't guarantee that I can find your animal.
- 40:34I can try, but I'm not going to charge you for something.
- 40:37I can't guarantee. I can guarantee in a mediumship
- 40:40reading that I can bring through a loved one.
- 40:42Although having said that, I have had because no, we aren't
- 40:46robots. I have had people that the
- 40:47reading hasn't gone well and I just refund their money.
- 40:50I had one of those about two weeks ago and we just the
- 40:54connection wasn't there. And I did bring through her
- 40:56grandma, but it wasn't the kind of reading that I like to give.
- 40:59It didn't really rise to the level of of what I consider a
- 41:02good reading. So about 12 minutes in I said
- 41:05listen I I apologise and and I I want to thank you for booking
- 41:09with me. But this isn't going the way
- 41:12that I want my readings to go, and I'm going to go ahead and
- 41:15refund you now. And if you would like me to, I
- 41:17can refer you to someone else I. Mean that's really good to hear
- 41:21to be honest. I mean because a lot of the time
- 41:23I think with these kind of things.
- 41:25What you tend to hear is that it's kind of like no, no
- 41:29refunds, no money back. You know, it's the typical
- 41:32you're kind of screwed kind of thing.
- 41:34But it's it's refreshing to hear that to be honest.
- 41:36That's that's good on you doing that well.
- 41:39And I and there are so many people out there kind of like
- 41:41that guy that I explained in the UK who won't give refunds.
- 41:44And people just need to not be embarrassed and they need to go
- 41:47back to their, you know, PayPal or their credit card and say
- 41:50this, Sir, first, bring it up with the psychic or the media.
- 41:53Hey, this wasn't what I expected.
- 41:54Can I have a refund? I I didn't like the reading, but
- 41:58but honestly, if the psychic or the medium is any good, that's
- 42:01going to come up during the reading.
- 42:03Does that make sense? I think as well, like, it works
- 42:05kind of like any business, doesn't it?
- 42:07In the sense that they're going to leave reviews on this person
- 42:09and if enough people get scammed by said person or don't get what
- 42:12they want, they're going to leave bad reviews and then that
- 42:14reflects on that person. So it's like you want to please
- 42:19people and if. You know, people aren't
- 42:21satisfied. Give them.
- 42:22Yeah, give them the refund. That's part of business, You
- 42:25know, it's it's just how it is. Integrity.
- 42:28Exactly. Let's talk more about animal
- 42:31communication, because I'd be remiss if I didn't ask you about
- 42:33these, this, this whole field, because it's fascinating.
- 42:37How does communication differ with animals in comparison to
- 42:41humans? So does it work on the same
- 42:43principles of conversation with humans, or does it differ
- 42:47greatly? Because I would imagine that it
- 42:49is. Obviously different, but let's
- 42:51explore that. So for me, it doesn't differ
- 42:55greatly. There are at its most basic
- 42:59level when I'm talking to an animal, it's telepathy.
- 43:03So we have all the fancy words. Claire Cognizant, Claire
- 43:07Audience. Claire.
- 43:08A goose. I don't know.
- 43:09I don't know all the big words. I'm not a big word person.
- 43:13It's knowing, seeing, feeling, tasting.
- 43:16So an animal might get into my database, which is, you know, up
- 43:19in my brain, and it will give me something that I recall from
- 43:23childhood or from my own animals.
- 43:25And I will then it's almost like a game.
- 43:28It's almost like a puzzle or a game of charades where I will
- 43:31then say, would you understand this?
- 43:33Right. So you're not getting like
- 43:35conversation, you're getting more like imagery and then
- 43:39between the imagery you're trying to construct like what?
- 43:42The message they're trying to convey, it's a little bit of
- 43:45both. I see, I hear, I feel, I taste,
- 43:48I smell. Sometimes I get physical
- 43:50symptoms. I was doing a mediumship reading
- 43:53the other day and this, and I kept grabbing my neck and I
- 43:56couldn't. And I don't normally just, you
- 43:57know, grab my neck randomly when I'm talking to someone.
- 44:01And so we were talking to her, passed over her son who had
- 44:03passed away at 27. And I said, OK, And so we
- 44:07determined how he died. And I said, someone else around
- 44:10you died. And I think they hung
- 44:12themselves. And I think it was a grandpa.
- 44:15And she said, no, no, I don't think so.
- 44:18And I was like, OK, all right, well, that that's OK And you'll
- 44:21get a lot of mediums that are like spirit's always right.
- 44:23Well, maybe they are, maybe they aren't.
- 44:26Maybe you just aren't interpreting it right.
- 44:28She came back to me two days later in a e-mail, and she said
- 44:32my. So her son had died.
- 44:37His wife's grandpa hung himself almost to the day that her son
- 44:42died. And so that's validation, but
- 44:47it's also very it's also very weird in that I can get physical
- 44:52symptoms, I can get, I can start coughing, I can, I have felt
- 44:58chest pains For people who have had heart attacks or congestive
- 45:01heart failure. I have felt anxiety.
- 45:05One time I did it. So non verbal communication is
- 45:08when I basically tap into someone who can no longer talk.
- 45:12So think autism or dementia or coma or Alzheimer.
- 45:17And so I was talking to a woman about her son who had passed
- 45:21over. Well this is a Passover
- 45:23experience but I also talked to people who are still alive who
- 45:26are non verbal. In this example, though, her son
- 45:29had been autistic and he had passed over and he had taken his
- 45:33own life. And before I even got into the
- 45:36reading, my anxiety level had gotten to a point where I was
- 45:40like, will I be able to do this reading?
- 45:42I'm not sure what's happening. And it turned out that's her son
- 45:46trying to give me information on how he felt at that time and why
- 45:51he made this decision and why this decision, frankly, was the
- 45:55best decision for him, which this industry, this knowledge,
- 46:00whatever you want to call it, has completely changed my mind
- 46:03on. On suicide what?
- 46:06Do you mean? I mean that for some people, it
- 46:10is the right decision for them at that time, and I used to
- 46:14think that people who committed suicide were incredibly selfish
- 46:17individuals who left behind a mess for everyone else to clean
- 46:21up. But now that I've brought
- 46:24through people who have had to make that decision, I am so much
- 46:30more empathetic to how hard it was for them, how fractured they
- 46:35may have felt, how hard life was because they had some sort of a
- 46:39mental or a physical disability. So honestly, becoming a medium
- 46:45has made me a better person. I'm going to take this minute to
- 46:48say for anyone listening who might be having suicidal
- 46:55thoughts or who might be thinking of this, I'm going to
- 46:58include some information in the descriptions below because I'm
- 47:05respectfully, I disagree with you.
- 47:07I don't think. In any case, suicide is ever the
- 47:10answer and. There's always a way to get
- 47:16through these hard times, whatever they may be.
- 47:20I think that the thing we often tend to forget in life is.
- 47:25And don't get me wrong, I realized that like life can put
- 47:27us in a situation where we can feel like there is no answer and
- 47:30we can feel like there's no control.
- 47:32There is always a way to fix a situation, but it might take
- 47:38time. It might take.
- 47:42Perseverance at me. You know, like all these
- 47:43different things. And yeah, it's not easy.
- 47:46Nothing about life is ever easy. But I can say quite firmly and
- 47:54with 100% conviction and belief in this statement, suicide is
- 47:59never the answer. Yeah, yeah.
- 48:04OK. Yeah.
- 48:05No, it's it's OK. But I'm not going.
- 48:07I'm not saying you can't have your opinion.
- 48:08I just. As a as a.
- 48:10Host like I am absolutely, absolutely.
- 48:12I have to kind of say these things and I and I do believe
- 48:18that. I do believe.
- 48:19That and I I believe that as well.
- 48:20I'm not I'm not just saying that just you know, obviously I want
- 48:23to protect my my listeners and my viewers.
- 48:25I want to kind of. I try to always remain impartial
- 48:30as a host for the most part, but I do have to kind of cool things
- 48:34sometimes. And.
- 48:39Intervene here and there. And this is an instance where I
- 48:41have to do that, but I'm happy to do so because it's the sort
- 48:44of, it's a heavy subject. It's probably one of the
- 48:46heaviest. You know, I've been there.
- 48:49I think many of my listeners have probably been there at some
- 48:52point. And I just want everyone
- 48:55listening to to just know that like that's never the answer.
- 48:59Like well and the holidays are especially a difficult time.
- 49:02And so when people do get conned by some of these con artists who
- 49:10are in this niche, it makes it even worse for those people in
- 49:14sensitive situations. So 9 1/2 times out of 10, I
- 49:17totally agree with you. And I used to think that times
- 49:20100 back before I was a medium. And so part of I would say that
- 49:27that part of doing this is just honestly realizing and feeling
- 49:34how some people struggle more than others and so what's.
- 49:37So for example, I'm ADHD. My what it looks like for me to
- 49:41get out of the house in the morning is dramatically
- 49:44different than how it looks for someone else to get out of the
- 49:46house in the morning. It takes me I have to start 2
- 49:51hours before normal people have to start, just to make sure that
- 49:55I get somewhere on time, which can be very hard.
- 50:00Now someone without ADHD who learns how to feel into my
- 50:04energy might get anxious over being in my energy, if that
- 50:08makes sense. And so that's basically kind of
- 50:10what I do is I sit in the energy of the animal or I sit in and
- 50:15when I say that, it doesn't sound very scientific, but I
- 50:17don't know how else to say it to give a visual.
- 50:20I just sit in that animal or person's space and I try to feel
- 50:27what they're feeling. And so for animals especially,
- 50:31we'll go back to animals. They're safer animals.
- 50:35I'll just, I'll just cut it for a second like it's, it's OK to
- 50:38have conversations about the big things.
- 50:40I've I've tackled a lot of different heavy topics on this
- 50:44show over the last 3 1/2 years, but I do have to kind of weigh
- 50:49weigh in on certain things. The reality is like, I think a
- 50:52lot of people that listen to my show and I'm sure anyone
- 50:54listening can agree, you know, it's it's.
- 50:58You listen to a show like this and like I I spend a lot of time
- 51:03trying to inspire my audience, motivate my audience, push them,
- 51:07you know, make them realise that they ain't so bad and things are
- 51:11OK and you know, it's a struggle before we can get through it.
- 51:15That's always kind of the bigger message.
- 51:16I try to convey with everything that I do and but that doesn't
- 51:23mean I'm afraid to have those conversations.
- 51:26You know, or talk about those things.
- 51:28I think it's very important to talk about those things and get
- 51:30it out. Like going back to that example
- 51:32of that kid, right? He thought that was the answer.
- 51:35He thought That's how to get out of this situation, right?
- 51:40But if he'd had some, you know, for instance, access to the
- 51:44right resources to be able to talk to someone, get referred to
- 51:47someone, anyone like, that's the thing.
- 51:49A lot of the time in that situation, we feel like no one
- 51:52cares. We feel like that's the only.
- 51:55Way to solve that, and it's what is the old expression.
- 52:00It's a a final solution to a temporary problem.
- 52:07OK, so OK, yes and no, because this person had mental
- 52:11disabilities, which? Which could have been you could
- 52:15work with that person, you know, just because we have these
- 52:18challenges in life doesn't, doesn't mean we can't still live
- 52:22a happy life. Do you know what I'm saying?
- 52:26No, I totally do. But for him, the struggles were
- 52:30so much and so consistent and so pervasive, and his mother had
- 52:35done everything in his power and his mother understood it as
- 52:39well. And so I'm not saying that
- 52:42that's the answer for everyone. And honestly, I was surprised by
- 52:46the information that came through as well.
- 52:48I'm saying that that was the answer for him.
- 52:51And and that's how he that's how he made it.
- 52:55You know, that's how he made me feel.
- 52:56That's how he made his mother feel.
- 52:58It was a sense of relief to his mother.
- 53:00It was a sense of relief. I feel like to him now, Having
- 53:03said that, I I All right, well, let's just go really deep.
- 53:10About two years ago, I was suicidal.
- 53:16And I do agree, sorry, I'll get emotional.
- 53:19I do agree. But I have the ability.
- 53:23I don't have the mental challenges that some people
- 53:27have. I have the ability to go out and
- 53:30have a full time job. I have the ability to to drive
- 53:33my vehicle to work. I have the ability to get myself
- 53:36dressed. I have the ability to not be
- 53:39institutionalized. I have a lot of abilities that
- 53:43not everyone has. And so I had to keep telling
- 53:46myself that. And it's a very dark, hard place
- 53:51to be. And sometimes you just have to
- 53:54get mean with yourself and be like, hey, listen, shit her, get
- 53:59off the pot. I think you should stay.
- 54:02And so I wrote myself, cut the crime part out of it.
- 54:07I wrote myself notes and I put them around the house so that I
- 54:12could like, talk to different parts of myself.
- 54:17So sometimes you have to talk to different parts of yourself.
- 54:20The part that wants to stay needs to talk to the part that
- 54:23wants to go. Well, that guy that went down a
- 54:31little rabbit hole, I didn't expect to go.
- 54:33Would you like to take a break? No, let me just.
- 54:39Like I'll respect your your wishes and and take it all out
- 54:42that's I'm more than happy. I mean, I was work with it.
- 54:46I just don't want to sound like a big fat crybaby.
- 54:50Hey, listen, I say this to my I say this to my girlfriend all
- 54:52the time, right? That there's nothing wrong with
- 54:56showing emotion about anything in life.
- 54:59If anyone ever comes around to you and says, oh, you know,
- 55:03you're showing too much emotion. You're not, you're not doing
- 55:06this right. You're not doing that right.
- 55:07Look, look, it's a reflection of you.
- 55:08It's how you feel. It's one of the most difficult
- 55:12things that a person can deal with.
- 55:14I've been there. I know what it's like, you know?
- 55:17And it was. And that's the thing.
- 55:19It was. It was wrong as well.
- 55:20It wasn't. It wasn't right.
- 55:22Like it was. I felt trapped.
- 55:26I felt like it would never get better.
- 55:31I felt like no one cared in all the usual tropes.
- 55:34But the difference was I was in a foreign country.
- 55:36I was in a horrible toxic relationship, etcetera,
- 55:39etcetera, etcetera. And you know, I'm glad I didn't
- 55:44do that. I'm glad I'm sitting here.
- 55:47You know it's yeah, I'm glad you're here too.
- 55:49Like it's. And that's why I wanted to
- 55:52stress that as well is that you know it isn't the answer because
- 55:56we're still here now. Because we didn't do that.
- 55:59Because we didn't give up because we, I don't know
- 56:01whatever it called someone kept going, etcetera.
- 56:07Like whatever it takes to just keep moving forward.
- 56:10You know, I agree and I also think and and what I do, what I,
- 56:14when I do a lot of psychic readings for people who are in a
- 56:17dark place, I I don't agree with most medications because the
- 56:22side effects can be worse than what you're feeling at the
- 56:24moment anyway. So that's just my own little
- 56:26soapbox. But one of the things I did do
- 56:29was try to talk to the different parts of myself.
- 56:32It's funny because mental health is back in the day would have
- 56:34you think that you were mentally insane if you thought that there
- 56:37was different parts to yourself. And now medicine, psychology,
- 56:43all that kind of stuff, recognizes that we are kind of a
- 56:48bunch of different parts in a body who exhibits as a person.
- 56:53And so sometimes you have to talk to those different parts
- 56:56and sometimes you have to. So I, you know, I talked to the
- 56:59parts that wanted to stay and I made it fun and I turned on the
- 57:03music and I did a lot of pattern interrupts.
- 57:06For anyone out there who is having a hard time, a pattern
- 57:08interrupt is where you literally just interrupt whatever doom and
- 57:14gloom is going on. That could be going out for an
- 57:16espresso, that could be calling a friend, that could be turning
- 57:19up the music and dancing to Bruno Mars.
- 57:22That could be hugging an animal especially, or getting in your
- 57:26car and going for a drive and rolling all the windows down.
- 57:28And so I did a lot of pattern interrupts a lot.
- 57:34So that's one way if anybody's feeling down around the
- 57:37holidays. Yeah, just don't give up guys
- 57:41like that's. If I could put a bow on that
- 57:44though, that's never, ever going to be the answer.
- 57:48And I know it might. If you, if you're going for a
- 57:50dark time right now and you're listening to this and you're
- 57:53you're thinking like, oh, it's easy for you to say that like
- 57:55I've been there, man. I know how you're feeling.
- 57:57I know how tough it gets. I'm so glad I didn't do it.
- 58:02And I want you to be here too. I want you to realise that it
- 58:04does get better. But you.
- 58:08You need to seek help and and like.
- 58:11If you're not getting it in one area, look elsewhere and keep
- 58:14seeking that help until you get it.
- 58:16And then you begin. You begin the process of
- 58:20rebuilding, making the perfect version of you.
- 58:24Also, I would also say in order for you to see better days, you
- 58:29got rid of the toxic person. Yes, sometimes we are
- 58:34legitimately just surrounded by assholes and you really have to
- 58:37look around at the people that you're hanging out with and the
- 58:40people that you're spending time with.
- 58:41And you have to say, is the energy compatible?
- 58:44Is this person adding to my life or only taking away from my
- 58:48life? Is this person an energy
- 58:50vampire? Or is this person actually
- 58:53supporting me? And like, for example, I used to
- 58:57get, I used to get put down for my quirkiness and my creativity
- 59:02and my the way I look at things and there's nothing.
- 59:06And like you said, there's nothing wrong with me.
- 59:07There's nothing wrong with you. I am who I am.
- 59:09And what happens is we have people around us who gaslight
- 59:12us. We have people around us who are
- 59:14condescending to us, and we tend to internalize that into What we
- 59:17need to do instead is get rid of the asshole.
- 59:22You know, I I don't often talk about this, but yeah, I can
- 59:25relate to that. And in that instance that I
- 59:27mentioned, it was exactly that, that person was trying to change
- 59:30me and they kept telling me that.
- 59:32The way I was was not acceptable.
- 59:34And they had this particular vision in mind of what they
- 59:38wanted. And I never quite fit the mark.
- 59:40I wasn't enough of a man, you, you name it, like it was said to
- 59:43me. And you know, the ultimate irony
- 59:46is that right now the person I am today is is that person, but
- 59:50better even still. And it's.
- 59:53All I really needed was support and love and respect and not to
- 59:58be constantly told I wasn't good enough or that I wasn't doing
- 1:00:01the right thing. Although I wouldn't get there,
- 1:00:03you know? And it's crazy like I I had to
- 1:00:06take time to heal and then work on myself and then come out the
- 1:00:10other side and sort of realise like OK, as you said, it's the
- 1:00:14wrong people and it doesn't mean that you, you, you there isn't
- 1:00:18work to be done. Within there always is.
- 1:00:20I think that's. Oh, I absolutely.
- 1:00:23I absolutely had to do work within because I was raised by
- 1:00:26narcissists and then I married into narcissism.
- 1:00:29And you don't, you don't hang out with the pigs and the pigs
- 1:00:32die and not get a little mud on you.
- 1:00:35So one of the things that I had to clear out of my repertoire of
- 1:00:41options was guilt. I would unknowingly.
- 1:00:44I would guilt trip people. And I didn't realize it.
- 1:00:48And then one time my son looks at me and he's like, so you're
- 1:00:50going to guilt me into it. And I was like, that's exactly
- 1:00:55what I just, oh, my God. And I purposely worked to remove
- 1:01:01that toxic trait from the way I deal with people.
- 1:01:06You should not have to guilt someone into hanging out with
- 1:01:09you. Why would you even want that
- 1:01:11person hanging out with you if they're doing it out of guilt?
- 1:01:15So there is definitely things that I had to look at within
- 1:01:18myself. I also had to look at me feeling
- 1:01:20sorry for myself and having too many pity parties.
- 1:01:23Sometimes, ma'am, you just need to get out of bed and go do what
- 1:01:30you got to do instead of feeling sorry for yourself.
- 1:01:32So there were there were. It's a process.
- 1:01:35When you remove yourself from toxic people or toxic
- 1:01:38situations, don't assume that you are without fault.
- 1:01:43Oh yeah. And so I had to clean up my own.
- 1:01:47I had to clean out my own closet, so to speak, in order to
- 1:01:51still be here. Also, why don't?
- 1:01:54You should be very proud of yourself for that.
- 1:01:56Thank you. It's I I don't believe in
- 1:01:59coincidences and I guess that kind of feeds into where I'm
- 1:02:03open on this topic as far as my own beliefs are concerned and I
- 1:02:07keep seeing things here and there.
- 1:02:09Literally less than a day ago I saw something that relates to
- 1:02:12this. It said you know your energy
- 1:02:15doesn't match everyone, IE you know the old expression, you're
- 1:02:18not everyone's cup of tea, like don't feel bad if you don't
- 1:02:21click with people. They're just not your people.
- 1:02:23And some people are like just bad people.
- 1:02:26And the irony is those bad people, those narcissists that
- 1:02:29exist in society, like, you can't feel bad at the like,
- 1:02:35think about it. If they made you feel bad
- 1:02:37unnecessarily, like with the way they are right and the way
- 1:02:40they're treating you, how is that your fault?
- 1:02:44Exactly. And so you get a lot of people.
- 1:02:47And so in this spiritual niche, again, because there's a lot of
- 1:02:50toxic spirituality that goes with like toxic religion.
- 1:02:54There's a lot of self gaslighting that goes on.
- 1:02:57And people are like, well, I could have done this and I could
- 1:02:59have done that and I could have done this.
- 1:03:00And it's like, OK, first of all, I'm not one of those big, oh,
- 1:03:02you have to forgive everyone. I think you have to go back and
- 1:03:05forgive yourself for making the choices that you made, because
- 1:03:10once you believe in yourself. Yeah, Once you forgive yourself,
- 1:03:14the other people don't hold any space in in your energy because
- 1:03:20this is another as well. Like, like I had someone bring
- 1:03:24up something that happened to me about a year ago that was
- 1:03:26terrible and and it was like a viewer that was bringing up
- 1:03:30something that bad that had happened.
- 1:03:32And it's like I owned it straight away.
- 1:03:34I was like, yeah, that happened and it was awful.
- 1:03:36But here's how I've grown since then and how I've rectified and
- 1:03:40and I'm in the best place I've ever been in my entire life.
- 1:03:43And it's like we're human. We're going to make mistakes.
- 1:03:47We're going to we're, we're not perfect.
- 1:03:48Like, I don't understand where this new age concept of oh, you
- 1:03:52have to be faultless. You have to always be operating
- 1:03:56at a level where you never make any mistakes.
- 1:03:57Like that's impossible. It is impossible.
- 1:04:01And there's another guy out of the UK that is constantly
- 1:04:03telling people just listen to your intuition.
- 1:04:05Your intuition is never wrong. Your intuition can be wrong
- 1:04:08because you can be trauma bonded.
- 1:04:10You can be paranoid, you can be on medication, you can be
- 1:04:14needing to be on medication. You can be.
- 1:04:17So instead I tell people to do their due diligence.
- 1:04:21Ask your intuition. Take what you've lived.
- 1:04:24Take what you know to be. For example, if you only asked
- 1:04:28your intuition if you should get back into a relationship that
- 1:04:32didn't work before, you're going to.
- 1:04:33Your intuition is going to be affected by your heart.
- 1:04:37But if you do your due diligence and you ask your intuition plus
- 1:04:41you take the reality of the past.
- 1:04:44Plus, you compare actions versus words.
- 1:04:46Plus, you see if this person's energy matches yours.
- 1:04:49Now you have a a bowl of information from which to work,
- 1:04:54not just your intuition. Should you tap into your
- 1:04:56intuition? Absolutely.
- 1:04:58Absolutely. I'm I'm.
- 1:04:59I'm huge with intuition because I never listened to my own for
- 1:05:05so many years, right? But it isn't that simple.
- 1:05:09I can't just go out there because I could.
- 1:05:11I I, you know, we're still able to make stupid mistakes.
- 1:05:14Let let me put it into a really practical I want a stand up desk
- 1:05:18and it was Black Friday, but I don't necessarily have the
- 1:05:20expendable cash at the moment. So my intuition was like, it's
- 1:05:23Black Friday, get the stand up desk.
- 1:05:26But my due diligence and my bank account were like, listen, even
- 1:05:30though it's Black Friday, you don't need it right now.
- 1:05:32So set it up as a goal. Reward yourself with it six
- 1:05:35months from now, whatever it takes.
- 1:05:37But my intuition was all about this is the best desk, this is a
- 1:05:40great price, blah blah blah. So we really have to look at
- 1:05:44more than just our intuition. So it was a roundabout way to
- 1:05:50to. We and we also tend to gaslight
- 1:05:53ourselves. So what I see, especially with
- 1:05:55women, is that they will try to take responsibility for an
- 1:05:58entire failure of a marriage or a relationship when it was
- 1:06:02really a two person effort. Absolutely, once it takes two to
- 1:06:05tango, doesn't it? I mean it's.
- 1:06:06Absolutely. That's that's the thing.
- 1:06:08Like, they talk about this idea of the relationship dynamic.
- 1:06:11Like, I'm sure my girlfriend won't mind me saying this, but
- 1:06:14you know, like when she's apologetic for something, I'm
- 1:06:17like, oh, that's ridiculous, Like you have nothing to be
- 1:06:20apologetic for because she'll excuse behaviour.
- 1:06:23She'll be like, oh hey, I was sorry I was like this and I'm
- 1:06:26like, well, that's not that you've not done anything wrong.
- 1:06:29Like when I look at an apology, I look at it like, oh, I've,
- 1:06:32I've knowingly done something wrong or I accidentally did
- 1:06:37something wrong. And like, you know, it's and you
- 1:06:39and you basically. The whole point really, if it's
- 1:06:42proper apology is you make sure to never do that again and you
- 1:06:45learn from it and you move on, right?
- 1:06:48Or you're just kind of acknowledging like that the
- 1:06:52other person's hurt as a result and and you want to rectify that
- 1:06:55because you care about them. But when it's just like excusing
- 1:06:59your own behaviour, I mean that comes from experience, that
- 1:07:01comes from other people who've made you feel bad about who you
- 1:07:07are and how you operate when you've not done anything wrong.
- 1:07:10You know? And like, it's it's hard.
- 1:07:13I think it's hard to get to that point where you're like, no,
- 1:07:16actually, like I'm OK the way I am and yeah, I'm going to make
- 1:07:20mistakes. But like, yeah, I, as you said
- 1:07:22before, like you have to love who you are and be happy with
- 1:07:25who you are and then you, you don't worry about that so much.
- 1:07:27And then those people, those narcissists out there, they
- 1:07:30can't, they can't touch you. They can't do anything.
- 1:07:32Which irritates the living crap out of them, by the way.
- 1:07:35And so when you pull back from a narcissist, you living your best
- 1:07:38life is literally the best revenge.
- 1:07:41Absolutely. I remember, I remember about
- 1:07:43about two years ago when I was in a dark place, I was talking
- 1:07:46to my son who is so incredibly smart and perceptive and we're
- 1:07:50both Pisces and we're both in paths and.
- 1:07:53I grew up taking responsibility for everything and everyone.
- 1:07:57I was a fixer, but I was expected to blah blah blah, blah
- 1:08:01blah. I'm talking to my son one day
- 1:08:03and I said, well I can't remember what it was, but I took
- 1:08:06responsibility for it and I wanted that person still in my
- 1:08:08life. And he said, but why?
- 1:08:11And I said, well, I I I don't know.
- 1:08:14He goes, why would you want someone in your life that makes
- 1:08:16you feel that way? I'm like, why?
- 1:08:18I don't know. And he goes, don't you have any
- 1:08:21self preservation? And I was gobsmacked because I
- 1:08:26was like, I have been living my life without self preservation,
- 1:08:32like legitimately had put everyone and everything before
- 1:08:39what I wanted, what I needed, what I had.
- 1:08:42And here is this kid, and I think he was 15 at the time with
- 1:08:46just this nugget of of gold that he's given to me.
- 1:08:51And I was like. I am going to start looking into
- 1:08:55self preservation and I and I have and I have and it's been,
- 1:09:01it's been amazing and you're right, I'm in a different place.
